- 0:04We're back. My name is Jerry.
- 0:08Wait, no, we said it wrong, you see.
- 0:11This is what happens when you go so long without just recording
- 0:14me and Jerry. Like on our own.
- 0:15I I forgot how to do a podcast. Brian.
- 0:18Something about Brian looks different.
- 0:21I don't know what it is. I'm having a good hog day.
- 0:24It could be that. You look, you're looking a
- 0:27little like, like, like not rough.
- 0:29What's like, like, like, wow. You know, when, like, your beer
- 0:33is not like lined up? You're like Shaggy, a little
- 0:35gruffy. He's gruffy, he said.
- 0:38I looked. Rough No, I was like, no, but
- 0:40like as a like as a like as a like an adjective.
- 0:43Like you look like you're looking rough right now, like
- 0:45like in a good way. I where is that?
- 0:48It's not an adjective Is. It it it is an adjective, but it
- 0:51does not have positive connotation, no.
- 0:53Dude as a man. Oh, thank you.
- 0:56Like that scruffiness look? I like it.
- 0:58I'm digging it. My point is, it looks good.
- 1:00You look good. You're rocking.
- 1:01It thank you that's all I I aspire to be is man that's my
- 1:05north star is how how do I give man today.
- 1:07And that is so is it be man or is it like, have a man on top?
- 1:14It's both. OK, there you go.
- 1:15Oh, Oh, my bad. I mean above me, under me, next
- 1:19to me, in front and behind me. We're going to take them
- 1:22whatever way we take them. There's going to be a lot of man
- 1:24having. I love handling a man.
- 1:28Hi, guys, we're back. And we're back.
- 1:32Happy Thursday, hope you guys had a good week.
- 1:34Yes, we're almost there, y'all. I know we're almost there to the
- 1:37weekend. We are so close.
- 1:41I feel like we just left last weekend, like we just
- 1:44experienced last weekend and it's already like Thursday.
- 1:46That's wild. It's pretty cool.
- 1:48It's been a long week already, but since we're on the topic of
- 1:52last weekend, Brian and I had it a blast.
- 1:56We had a boys weekend, like the most boys weekend way I've ever
- 2:02had. Video games and alcohol and
- 2:05alcohol and wings and wings, man.
- 2:10That's my my triangle. Games, alcohol and wine.
- 2:15Oh, no games, Alcohol and wings. close.
- 2:18I think I'm still drunk. We had Fort Wine, We had a Fort
- 2:20Wine marathon. Guys, if you feel like you're in
- 2:23some sort of slump and you really need to reconnect with
- 2:26the men in your life, I highly recommend a Fort Wine Weekend.
- 2:32Just you and your boys Downing a bottle of wine each.
- 2:35Yeah, you could be in the same place.
- 2:36We did it together. We had a lamb party.
- 2:38Yes, we did. Jerry's in his living room.
- 2:40I'm at the dining room table and we are getting dubs on dubs.
- 2:44That might have been the most wins and second places that
- 2:48we've had true in a while, yeah. I had a whole bottle of wine.
- 2:52Jerry's had a whole bottle of wine.
- 2:54Yes, I did. Never.
- 2:56That was the first time in my life that I've had an entire
- 2:58bottle of wine to myself. It's life changing.
- 3:02I'm so happy for you. It was so easy.
- 3:05Yes, it was. You didn't.
- 3:06Realize it was that easy. And you don't realize it till
- 3:11you're like half, like halfway through the bottle.
- 3:13You're feeling warm. You're like, wow, yeah.
- 3:15Like I don't taste it. I don't feel it like, well, at
- 3:18least your, I mean, mine was a red wine.
- 3:19Yours was a little bit more sweeter.
- 3:21I have a a fruity palette, so my wine was barely considered wine.
- 3:25It was like alcoholic fruit juice. 15% in a hit.
- 3:30Like in the first couple sips I'm like, oh, I feel good.
- 3:33Andrew joined us to play video games with Andrew.
- 3:36Yvonne joined later. By the time we finished, I think
- 3:41we did it in. Sections.
- 3:42Yeah, we we had like 3 chapters. It was get everything ready, do
- 3:47our errands, because as much as we needed a Fort Wine, we had to
- 3:49be responsible adults. Yes, we were productive.
- 3:51We ran our errands, did our grocery shopping, hit the ground
- 3:56running, open up the bottle, played a couple rounds, torn the
- 4:00break, kept drinking, came back, won a bunch.
- 4:08And then we just did that into the wee hours of the morning.
- 4:12Kind of. Technically, yes, it was past
- 4:17midnight, past midnight. And unfortunately it was one of
- 4:22those nights where you're just like, yeah, I'm, I'm going to
- 4:25play till till dawn and it's going to be non-stop, just video
- 4:29game. I was feeling that by like
- 4:3111/30/12 when we when we like took a break.
- 4:33Once we started disassociating, just staring at our monitors in
- 4:36one of the jam sessions, I'm like damn, let's let's let's
- 4:39change it up, let's let's watch something.
- 4:40Nope, it made it. Worse, it just put us.
- 4:42I mean, it put me to to to sleep.
- 4:44I was feeling so tired my eyelids were like closing.
- 4:49I, I think, have shared like a sleeping habitat with Jerry only
- 4:54a handful of times. This time he's like, here, hear
- 4:58me call. Here's your your pillow.
- 4:59Here's a blanket if you need it, but leave the window open for
- 5:02you. Like, OK, I plug in my phone.
- 5:05I'm sitting there. I'm chilling.
- 5:06I'm like, let me let me settle into my Tiktoks.
- 5:09I don't fall asleep immediately, never do I.
- 5:11I always have my last minute doom scroll.
- 5:14I hear Jerry walk up, brush his teeth, get into bed 5-6 minutes
- 5:21later. What is that blessed life to be
- 5:26able to fall asleep like it's nothing?
- 5:28So the trick it at this point it was what maybe like closer to 1
- 5:31no it. Was maybe like 12:30 at the. 12
- 5:34at 12:30. OK, 12:30-ish.
- 5:37The trick is you wake up at 5 or.
- 5:39Something. That morning we I I drove Dulce,
- 5:43I dropped her off to go on her girls trip which I had to wake
- 5:48up early for her and I woke up early every week, every day the
- 5:52other week. And sometimes it's the
- 5:53sacrifices we have to make. I worked on Saturday so I was
- 5:56also up. Kind.
- 5:57You were also up early, I remember.
- 5:58Maybe that's why we were both so tired.
- 6:00There you go, case solved. OK, I was thinking, damn, we're
- 6:03old. Yeah, you're right.
- 6:05You're right. Because we were thinking that we
- 6:07were like, damn, we did not play like past 22 AM.
- 6:10That sucks. That was fully my intention.
- 6:12Yeah, but a it is what it is. We were both tired.
- 6:15We got a lot of shit. Done.
- 6:16Yeah. We woke up, we got some coffee
- 6:17and then we were we said let's we have to take the day.
- 6:20Yeah. And do some more errands.
- 6:22Yeah. No.
- 6:24Nope. An hour, 2 hours later, Jerry
- 6:26calls me like, well yeah, you want to Fortnite?
- 6:30And then and then to go back to the sleeping.
- 6:33It's so hard to sleep in an empty bed.
- 6:35I already said that it sucks, I don't like it, it's not for me.
- 6:39I didn't get any like sleep that night, that second night.
- 6:43But damn we played a shit little games which is nice.
- 6:46Yeah, I can't agree with you on the not being able to sleep in
- 6:50an empty bed. I find it harder to sleep when
- 6:53there is someone in the bed. Because you're like conscious
- 6:55that. I'm like, yes, one, I'm like,
- 6:57I'm going to snore because that be snoring, especially if it's
- 7:01after a night of drinking. I'd be snoring and then I have a
- 7:05very tiny bed. So when someone does crash
- 7:07tonight, I feel like I'm taking up too much space and then I
- 7:09wake up, like teetering off the freaking edge.
- 7:12But sometimes that corner so like that sliver of bed is so
- 7:16comfortable dude. No, I love having the entire bed
- 7:21to myself. Props to you.
- 7:24Thank you. Not for me.
- 7:26Oh yeah. I bet it was torture for you.
- 7:28Yeah, I always, I just expected to to feel so good right there.
- 7:34I'm sorry you you needed to have a weekend of stress and
- 7:39emotional duress because you're gonna have such a great next
- 7:43weekend. Guys, Jerry's birthdays this
- 7:44weekend. Oh shit, that sounds like what's
- 7:46next weekend. It's clicking.
- 7:49What are you talking about? Yeah, my birthday's next weekend
- 7:51is pretty crazy. Everyone, you better go onto
- 7:53Instagram or our Instagram and then send him a happy birthday
- 7:56and send them $5 at least. At least 50 preferably.
- 8:01Yes. But 5 is OK, 5 is OK.
- 8:04Between 5 and 50, yeah. It's 5 or 50?
- 8:07Oh, sorry, no, no, it's 5 or. 50 it's 5 or 50.
- 8:10The man, the birthday boy, has spoken.
- 8:13I have spoken very excited. I'm going to go up to Seattle,
- 8:16going to see the compass, hope to have a chill, chill weekend
- 8:21filled with nature and just love.
- 8:24I guess So yeah. But I'll be back.
- 8:27Manifesting good things. For you I got to sorry.
- 8:30I'm going to pause here because Brian gave me his gift this past
- 8:33weekend and once again y'all hit up insert.
- 8:38My name just insert hit me on his hit me up on Instagram at
- 8:41real Brian Lopez. When I told you guys a couple
- 8:44weeks back that I was committing to book binding and book
- 8:47rebinding. I have hit the ground running
- 8:49and I hate to toot my own horn. Actually, no, I love to do.
- 8:53My own do it. The one I made for Jerry for his
- 8:55birthday is my best work so far. It is so good guys.
- 9:00It is a rebinded copy of my copy of The Lord of the Rings, the
- 9:05Fellowship first book, The Fellowship of the Ring.
- 9:07It is so cool. I gave him my notes.
- 9:11I sent him my my pictures and my my references and inspo and he
- 9:17fucking killed it. He knocked it out of the park.
- 9:20It's the second time I say that today.
- 9:21It's weird because it's baseball season.
- 9:23It's the World Baseball Classic baseball boy, guys, it's so
- 9:27fucking nice. Like it.
- 9:28It's Gandalf fighting against the freaking.
- 9:33I'm blanking on the name now and I freaking say it all the time.
- 9:35You do, Mr. I want to Tattoo. Bulldog the bulldog.
- 9:40It's so cool. It's so fucking.
- 9:43Demon looking thing. I can't believe I had that in my
- 9:45Christian household for weeks. I'm sensing other things in this
- 9:50Christian. Household I'd be sin in I sense.
- 9:55Sin but thank you, Brian. That was a it's a beautiful
- 9:57copy. We will post a picture of it so
- 9:59you can see that is by far no offense, his best work of today.
- 10:04It's only going to get better, guys.
- 10:06It will be. Commission your copies.
- 10:08He's the best in the business. With that being said, Are you
- 10:11ready? Guys, we are coming at you with
- 10:14a theme for this week's episode. We are going to be dealing with
- 10:20transformations in different iterations of the word, but
- 10:26specifically creature transformations.
- 10:32Like a druid. Yeah.
- 10:34Honestly. Yeah.
- 10:36Like animors. Uh huh.
- 10:39Exactly. Like me.
- 10:43Oh, you lost. Me.
- 10:44No, I'm sorry. I should have said like you.
- 10:46We'll get into that. No, no, no, no.
- 10:48We'll get into that. And we're going to get into it
- 10:52now, Jerry, starting us off. You can't see me right now, but
- 10:59the listeners, I'm looking straight into Brian's soul.
- 11:02Oh no. What do you see?
- 11:05Brian, when I look at you, I you know, I I get a lot of words to
- 11:09describe you. I think you're very cunning.
- 11:11I don't like the way I'm being perceived as you have.
- 11:17I think you're a great communicator.
- 11:18Oh, thanks. You wait.
- 11:22Can you smile for me really quick?
- 11:24Yep. You have canines.
- 11:25I mean, yeah, that's interesting.
- 11:29I would say you're above average, Harry.
- 11:32Guys, I feel exposed. What's going on?
- 11:35I'm just noting some things that I've like.
- 11:38I've always known they were there and I've always seen the
- 11:41the signs, but I'm just, I'm really looking at them right
- 11:44now. My God, You're.
- 11:46You're a meat eater. Yeah.
- 11:48You eat meat? Yeah.
- 11:50You like eating meat? Yeah.
- 11:51I love it. Do you ever bark?
- 11:56Only when hot men walk by. And so, yes, OK, I knew it,
- 12:02guys. I knew it.
- 12:05You might be the biggest like I know.
- 12:09You can't prove nothing. I've been saying this for years.
- 12:13This man has always had that wolf inside of him.
- 12:16He's always had that. Got that dog in.
- 12:18Me, that dog in you, the furry. I love you guys this is the I'm
- 12:24letting it past cause your birthday coming up.
- 12:26Before Twilight, Before Jacob Black took his shirt off and
- 12:30made Wolf Pack ABS a personality trait.
- 12:34And let's not even start with the alpha, beta, and Omega
- 12:37culture that's out there. The Omega verse.
- 12:40The Omega verse. All about the Omega verse.
- 12:42You know a lot about the Omega verse.
- 12:44Interesting, because someone out there right now is calling
- 12:48themselves an alpha male. Someone's called probably
- 12:50reclaiming the Omega energy, and Brian's in probably a Discord
- 12:55server saying that he's about to challenge someone's dominance.
- 13:00What is going to go on? I have a question, so here's the
- 13:03sorry. So let me back here.
- 13:04Here's the question. Where did this whole wolf human
- 13:07transformation idea come from? Lycanthropy isn't just memes and
- 13:11movie ABS. It's psychological.
- 13:13It's ancient, and at times it was deadly serious.
- 13:17Brian, today we're talking about lycanthropy.
- 13:19Yay my people, that's what my last name means.
- 13:22Lopez means of the wolf in Spanish.
- 13:26Everything is connecting, Brian. You're not helping your case.
- 13:29Hey. That's it.
- 13:33Yes, you were like about to let off like a bark or something.
- 13:35I, I sensed it. The word.
- 13:39So what is lycanthropy? The word lycanthropy comes from
- 13:41the ancient Greek roots. It's spelled Lykos LYKOS, but I
- 13:47believe it's pronounced Lucas. Oh, Lucas meaning wolf, and
- 13:52Anthropos meaning human, according to the EBSCO research
- 13:56article on werewolf. According to the Epstein.
- 13:59Files keep going. Early stories describe humans
- 14:03physically transforming into wolves, often through curses,
- 14:06divine punishment or magical rituals.
- 14:08The legends appear across ancient Greece and later
- 14:11throughout medieval Europe. One of the earliest myths
- 14:15involved King Lycaon, who was transformed into a wolf as
- 14:20punishment from Zeus. That story helps cement the idea
- 14:23that transformation as divine retribution.
- 14:26Becoming a wolf wasn't just random, it was moral
- 14:29consequence. Over time, the myth spread
- 14:31through Europe, morphing into regional variations.
- 14:35In France, the Lup Garu in Germanic folklore cursed
- 14:40wolfman, in Eastern Europe, werewolf trials that paralleled
- 14:44witch hunts. And in many stories,
- 14:46transformation could be triggered by wearing enchanted
- 14:49wolf skins, drinking from magical sources, being cursed,
- 14:53or in later folklore, the full moon.
- 14:56Was there a full moon yesterday? There was there was a blood moon
- 14:59yesterday or something. What were you doing during that?
- 15:02It was at 3:00 in the morning, I was in bed not able to sleep.
- 15:07That's crazy. But coincidence?
- 15:09No. Stop.
- 15:10You're gonna have any questioning things?
- 15:12Oh, it gets better. The Full Moon association
- 15:15actually became more prominent in modern literature and film
- 15:18rather than early folklore. Something that involved that
- 15:22evolved, which with something that evolved with storytelling
- 15:27traditions. During the late Middle Ages and
- 15:29early modern Europe, accusations of being a werewolf were treated
- 15:33as criminal charges. The EBSCO article explains that
- 15:36in certain periods, individuals were tried and even executed for
- 15:40allegedly being werewolves, often overlapping with
- 15:43witchcraft accusations. So think about that.
- 15:46People weren't just afraid of wolves, they were afraid that
- 15:48their neighbors were wolves. This wasn't entertainment.
- 15:52This was a social paranoia wrapped in supernatural belief.
- 15:56Werewolf trials, particularly in parts of France and Germany in
- 16:00the 16th and 17th centuries, reveal how seriously communities
- 16:04treated the idea of transformation.
- 16:06It was a blend of folklore, fear, religion, and a
- 16:09misunderstanding of mental illness.
- 16:11Damn. Now here's where things get
- 16:14especially fascinating. According to the Encyclopedia
- 16:18Britannica's entry on lycanthropy, there is a rare
- 16:21psychiatric condition known as clinical lycanthropy.
- 16:24I've heard of this. This is not folklore.
- 16:27This is a documented psychological syndrome in which
- 16:30a person believes they are transforming into or have
- 16:33transformed into an animal, commonly a wolf.
- 16:37Britannica explains that this condition is typically
- 16:40associated with broader psychiatric disorders involving
- 16:43delusions or psychosis. What's important here is the
- 16:47distinction. Folklore says the body changes.
- 16:50Clinical psychology says the belief changes.
- 16:53The transformation is not physical, it is perceptual or
- 16:57cognitive. Some documented cases describe
- 17:00individuals claiming their teeth are elongating, feeling fur
- 17:04growing, adopting animal like behaviors.
- 17:07This is just me doing. Moving on all fours, growling
- 17:13and howling to the person experiencing it.
- 17:16The transformation feels real. And historically, before modern
- 17:19psychiatry, these behaviors could easily be interpreted as
- 17:23supernatural, which may explain why ancient werewolf legends
- 17:27felt so convincing. Because there was probably the
- 17:30people, like, actually freaking out and having these experiences
- 17:34and your neighbor's like, oh, Yep, they're werewolves, got to
- 17:37kill them. That raises a lot of questions
- 17:41for me. But are you still going?
- 17:42I'm still going, yes, yes, I'll put a pin in it.
- 17:45Put a pin in that. I'll put a claw in that.
- 17:47Werewolves endure in storytelling because they
- 17:50symbolize duality, Human versus animal, civilization versus
- 17:53instinct, control versus rage. The EBSCO article notes that in
- 17:59literature and film, werewolves often represent the darker side
- 18:02of human nature, impulses we suppress until something
- 18:05triggers them. That's why the transformation
- 18:07trope is so powerful, it externalizes inner conflict.
- 18:11The monster isn't outside you, it is you.
- 18:14And unlike vampires, who are often portrayed as seductive and
- 18:17controlled, werewolves are frequently depicted as raw,
- 18:20emotional, and volatile. Which honestly explains a lot
- 18:24about the Internet comment sections.
- 18:26Oh my God, ha ha ha ha ha, Princess, stand behind me.
- 18:33While European werewolves dominate pop culture, shape
- 18:35shifting myths appear worldwide. Many cultures have legends of
- 18:38human transforming into animals, wolves, hyenas, big cats, even
- 18:43bears. This suggests something
- 18:44universal. Humans have long been fascinated
- 18:48by crossing the boundary between human and beast.
- 18:50It taps into fear, it taps into power, and it taps into
- 18:54identity. Today we've taken this ancient
- 18:58fear and turn it into a shirtless werewolf heartthrob.
- 19:02Shirtless werewolf heart throbs. Furry conventions, Alpha, Beta,
- 19:07Omega, versus. And yes, Brian claiming he has
- 19:10pack intuition. Well, I don't, I don't claim I
- 19:14no, that's AD and D thing. I don't have.
- 19:16I don't claim that my character does.
- 19:19The legend of the werewolf is older than meme culture, older
- 19:22than modern psychology, older than most organized religions.
- 19:25And whether it's folklore or a rare psychiatric condition,
- 19:29lycanthropy reminds us that humans have always been
- 19:32fascinated by the thin line between who we are and what we
- 19:36might become. Wow.
- 19:41I want to make note that I have always been Team Jacob.
- 19:44Was that a wow? Is it like a wow or like a wow
- 19:47in Spanish? Wow, Wow, wow, wow, Wow.
- 19:51Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow, Wow. No, I've always been, I've
- 19:54always been a werewolf person over like a vampire person.
- 19:57Yeah, yeah, yeah. A vampire isn't.
- 19:59I had no interested in until like recently, but like the
- 20:02Twilight movies, I was Team Jacob all the freaking way.
- 20:07I like that idea. The second thing that I wanted
- 20:11to put a pin in is take out the Yeah, the second pin I want to
- 20:16take out is this whole witch hunt kind of thing with the
- 20:21werewolves. So it would be a neighbor
- 20:25saying, oh, my God, my neighbor. Yeah.
- 20:27Well, my neighbor Jerry, he thinks he's a werewolf.
- 20:29We have to kill him. Or is it?
- 20:30Oh my gosh, I saw him turn into a werewolf.
- 20:32We have to kill him. I'm sure it was both.
- 20:35Because who at that point, I want to know who?
- 20:37Who is the mental illness? Exactly.
- 20:39Yeah, I feel like I was definitely abused in terms of
- 20:45just the the. Of course, if you don't like.
- 20:47Someone you throw the blame, I think they're a witch.
- 20:49I think they're. I want what they have.
- 20:51Oh my God, they're a wolf. Next thing you know, your
- 20:53neighbors gone. Yeah, like damn, they're they're
- 20:55buffer than the regular human adult werewolf.
- 21:00They got real sharp. Canines werewolf.
- 21:03They're hairy werewolf. Because I'd be, I'd be a goner.
- 21:07Brian would kill me. Brian would be in the in the
- 21:10forest right now hiding. You leave me and my Bush out of
- 21:13this. Hiding with his Bush in a Bush,
- 21:16I mean. Sorry, it was it was cool.
- 21:20I loved, I loved the the clinical like anthropy to like
- 21:23just shook me. I'm like, I've never heard of
- 21:26that. Not surprised, but interesting.
- 21:29I I love learning about it and yeah, search it up on web MD.
- 21:33If you think I'm lying, diagnose yourself with clinical like
- 21:36anthropy. We all do it.
- 21:38It reminds me of the meme. I know we reference it all the
- 21:41time but it every 4 bit older than physical.
- 21:44I am Wolf. You see, it's just it's too
- 21:50good. Like there's always going to be
- 21:51wolf memes, like alpha Omega, like all that stuff.
- 21:56It's always going to be a thing. OK, I want to raise an important
- 21:58question. Raise it Person stepping into
- 22:05their furry outfit. They're like full on mascot.
- 22:09Is that then considered a werewolf?
- 22:11You have turned into a wolf. Yes, at that point you are a
- 22:14completely different being. I don't think they're turning
- 22:16into themselves as this new persona.
- 22:19I think they are embodying something else and they become
- 22:22something else. OK, so inside of them is this
- 22:25wolf. They step into this thing and
- 22:28now externally they are a wolf, therefore werewolf.
- 22:33Werewolf. That's crazy, Werewolf.
- 22:36That's not crazy. Like you're not crazy.
- 22:37With this no. Though the idea of it is blows
- 22:41my mind. Yeah.
- 22:42Yeah. Contrary to Jerry's strong
- 22:45popular belief that I am a furry, I don't think I'd ever be
- 22:50have any interest in embodying any kind of animal like that.
- 22:56Because you already are one. Oh my God.
- 22:59Me on all fours, just barking. No shame, I just, I just, I want
- 23:03you to just accept who you are and see yourself through my eyes
- 23:08because in every aspect except you.
- 23:10See myself through your eyes? No.
- 23:12Don't tell me you see me. No.
- 23:14Because in every aspect besides the physical, you are a wolf.
- 23:18So wolf, wolf. Thank you so much for coming to
- 23:21my wolf talk. That was super fun.
- 23:26When we have an offshoot of our podcast that's only about
- 23:29werewolf happenings that we are going to be, I mean, you just
- 23:31said it, the wolf cast, wolf, the puff talk, wolf talk, the
- 23:37pack cast. OK, I have a funny ass story
- 23:42just really quick. So when I was working security
- 23:45years ago, there was this like older dude and he had a nephew I
- 23:50think. And his nephew was probably like
- 23:51around my same age. I was probably like 19/20/21.
- 23:55He we're talking to this older dude, you know, we're all just
- 23:58outside. I think we're taking a break.
- 24:00And then he's like, Oh yeah, though my nephew's working with
- 24:02us here. It's his first job or something.
- 24:03And yeah, him and his buddies like, yeah, they're, they're
- 24:06working with us right now too. It's so cool.
- 24:09I've never heard of this, but they like gave each other the,
- 24:11the group nickname of they're the Wolf Pack.
- 24:14It's, it's just, I've never heard of that.
- 24:15It's so, it's so creative. And I'm like, not an ounce of
- 24:20creativity was used to, yeah. This is straight out of the Teen
- 24:22Wolf with Tyler Posey. So that's just something I, I
- 24:25always bring up because this, he said.
- 24:27It's so with so much conviction, like he was so proud of his
- 24:30nephew. Novel idea, never heard of it
- 24:32before. Like he was.
- 24:33Yeah. It's like a Wolf Pack.
- 24:34Like, you know, because he rolled in packs.
- 24:35I'm like, yeah, I think we know what that is like.
- 24:38That's cool. Yeah.
- 24:39That's that's that's awesome, man.
- 24:41Fuck, yeah. Go for your nephew, man.
- 24:43But I was trying too hard not to laugh.
- 24:45There's yeah. A.
- 24:47You don't know they could be a pack of werewolves.
- 24:49You were this close. You were 1° away from a
- 24:53werewolf. I don't know what I would pick
- 24:56if I was told take this pill, become a vampire, take this
- 25:00pill, become a werewolf. I don't know.
- 25:04I think I would do. You're so right.
- 25:06I don't know. I thought I had this like
- 25:08immediately picked out. Same I have so many pros and
- 25:12cons like. I like the idea of being able to
- 25:14change form like going in between 2:00.
- 25:19But I feel like one of them is like predominantly it's during
- 25:22something during the full moon during a ritual, like where it
- 25:26becomes like where the transformation happens compared
- 25:29to vampire where it's like you can just turn into a bat or you
- 25:32can turn into. Yeah.
- 25:34But then remember they can't go into the sun.
- 25:36Yeah, that's, I think that would be my my deciding factor.
- 25:39Yeah, just wear skin suit. Yeah, but imagine falling asleep
- 25:43like the way a dog does. Just like do your little paws
- 25:45and then just curling up in a soft bed.
- 25:47Or just like not having to eat or drink blood like nothing but
- 25:51that like. You can just apart.
- 25:53A werewolf can still eat like a cooked steak and enjoy it.
- 25:56You know, they can eat anything. Give me pedig.
- 25:58Give me croquettas. I say pedigree, but I'm like,
- 26:01no, I wouldn't. I wouldn't eat pedigree.
- 26:04Honestly growing up I had a babysitter that their dog ate
- 26:08the same thing they were eating for dinner.
- 26:09Just whatever scraps and leftovers they go give a plate
- 26:11to the dog being Rottweiler. That's what I'm saying, it's
- 26:15possible. What a life to live.
- 26:17Yeah, that is so interesting. I I I brought up the idea to
- 26:24Jerry like, oh, let's do an episode about like things that
- 26:28transform and have transformations.
- 26:29Yeah. And instantly he said he wanted
- 26:31to do like anthropy. And I'm like, that's crazy
- 26:33because I specifically wanted to talk about the now what?
- 26:39Oh, let me set the freaking scene for you.
- 26:45I just happened to my creative writing for this so everyone
- 26:47gather around. It is story time.
- 26:50We are set, Papa. OK.
- 26:52Don't fall asleep on me, guys. It happened to get 30 seconds,
- 26:59OK? You grew up in a small town at
- 27:03the base of the mountains. Your community is so small that
- 27:06everyone knows one another. You know their families, their
- 27:09friends. Everyone is connected in some
- 27:11way. However, there is one person who
- 27:14stands out, the only one with any air of mystery.
- 27:19A few miles up the mountain lives an old man.
- 27:21He rarely comes into town. No one knows his name or where
- 27:25he came from. All they know is that he's
- 27:27always lived in the outskirts, far off the road that leads to
- 27:30the mountain peaks. You fear for his safety.
- 27:34A feral creature prowls the land and you hear it's warning howls
- 27:37late into the night. It's kept you awake more than
- 27:40once. You vividly recall the night it
- 27:43crept into town, it's howl jolting you from sleep that
- 27:48night. You heard it's claws scratch
- 27:49against the walls of your home, fear keeping you paralyzed in
- 27:52bed as the beast stalked the perimeter.
- 27:56One final howl pierced through your window and then you heard
- 27:58the creatures Sprint fade into the distance.
- 28:02You pray the man never crosses path with that wolf.
- 28:05You always notice when he comes down from the mountain, he
- 28:07rarely interacts with anyone, his presence feeling like an
- 28:10I'll omen. He only ever visits the general
- 28:12store. On his last visit, he purchased
- 28:15chains before returning up the mountain.
- 28:17While the local butcher knows each family's weekly order, he
- 28:20claims to have never sold anything to the mysterious man.
- 28:24How does he feed himself? What does he eat?
- 28:26Whenever he's seen, it's only during the day.
- 28:29He always leaves before the sun begins to set.
- 28:32Your neighbors hush. Whispers and gossip follow him
- 28:34as he makes his way back up the mountain.
- 28:36Do you know him? Has anyone ever seen his house?
- 28:40I heard he's a brujo. Curiosity takes over On his next
- 28:44visit, you follow him, close enough to keep him insight, but
- 28:47far enough away to muffle the sound of your footsteps.
- 28:50More than once, he pauses, as if his ears have caught your
- 28:54careful steps each time you duck into the bushes.
- 28:58The sun sinks below the horizon by the time you reach his house.
- 29:01It's a wooden shack that sits in a small clearing, cobbled
- 29:04together from scrap materials. At 1 edge stands a massive tree,
- 29:08it's trunk thicker than any other in the forest.
- 29:12A heavy chain is wrapped tightly around it.
- 29:14You scan the clearing, expecting to see a dog tethered nearby.
- 29:18You don't. On the opposite end stands a
- 29:21stone altar, it's surface layered with melted candle wax.
- 29:25The moon begins to rise and you strain your eyes to keep him in
- 29:28view. Then you see it.
- 29:32He's chaining himself to the tree.
- 29:34The final sliver of sunlight disappears.
- 29:37All that remains is his shadowed silhouette.
- 29:40The shape begins to change, shrinking, hunching forward,
- 29:44what stood on 2 legs now drops to four.
- 29:47Confused, you take a step closer.
- 29:50Your shirt snags on the shrub, hiding you from view.
- 29:54The leaves rustle loudly. It's head snaps towards you.
- 29:59What was a man only moments ago is now a wolf with blood red
- 30:01eyes staring straight into you, into your soul.
- 30:05It tilts its head back and howls at the rising moon.
- 30:08You turn and Sprint down the mountain behind you.
- 30:12The chain snaps. Dun Dun Dun.
- 30:18But I kind of ate with that one in my opinion.
- 30:22I literally peed myself. Jerry, is that what that was?
- 30:25I wondered why my foot got warm. Dude, did you see how I was sad
- 30:30like I was? I was just like imagining it in
- 30:33my mind. It was fully like, damn, he
- 30:36died. Oh yeah, they're dead, the chain
- 30:39snapped. While Europe has the werewolf,
- 30:42Mesoamerican cultures have something far older than Nawali.
- 30:48The word Nawali comes from the Nawali word Nawali.
- 30:51Historically, it refers to a spiritual double, an animal
- 30:54counterpart connected to a person's soul.
- 30:56Now, Wally also refers to a sorcerer or a shapeshifter.
- 31:00In many indigenous belief systems throughout Mexico and
- 31:02Central America, it was believed that every person was born with
- 31:05an animal spirit tied to their identity.
- 31:07Your temperament, your destiny, even your fate could be linked
- 31:10to this animal. However, some individuals are
- 31:13believed to have more than just a spiritual connection.
- 31:16Some were said to have the power to shift into the animal.
- 31:20Nawalas are often described as shamans, sorcerers or spiritual
- 31:23leaders who possess the ability to shape shift into their animal
- 31:26counterparts, such as Jaguars, coyotes, owls and wolves.
- 31:30Yeah, so it's not just wolves, even though that's what we
- 31:32normally envision. Yeah.
- 31:35Unlike the European werewolf which is often portrayed as
- 31:37cursed or uncontrollable as you mentioned, the nawal is
- 31:41traditionally associated with power and intention in pre
- 31:44Hispanic traditions. Among the Meeksdek and Sapotec
- 31:47peoples that now while it wasn't always considered evil, some
- 31:51stories list them as protectors or healers.
- 31:54However that interpretation began to shift during
- 31:57colonization. Of course it always it's always
- 32:01a a Christian leaning type of people.
- 32:05But everything changed with the world.
- 32:08And who is the Fire Nation if we really, really peel back the
- 32:12layers imperialism, my culture is better than yours.
- 32:17So you have to adhere. And honestly, in every situation
- 32:20where there is a colonized people, the original mythology,
- 32:27beliefs, everything that they seem sacred.
- 32:29All right, let me get into it because I I wrote about it.
- 32:33When Spanish missionaries arrived in the Americas,
- 32:36indigenous spiritual practices were frequently labeled as
- 32:38witchcraft. Shape shifting abilities which
- 32:40were once seen as sacred and divine were reframed as demonic.
- 32:44The nowala lost its neutrality and was deemed as something
- 32:47horrible lurking in the shadows. This shifted the perspective and
- 32:51even into the modern day. Nowalas are seen as demonic
- 32:53tricksters and something to be feared.
- 32:57In modern oral traditions, particularly in rural areas of
- 33:00Mexico, Nowalas are sometimes described as individuals who
- 33:03secretly transform at night to harm livestock or frightened
- 33:06villagers. Many people have gone on to
- 33:08TikTok to share their encounters with Nawalts.
- 33:10Some claim to even have proof, providing grainy videos of
- 33:13animals behaving strangely in the dark or suddenly changing
- 33:16shape. Encounters have even needed to
- 33:19the local news. In parts of Veracruz, there have
- 33:23been a contemporary reports of individuals claiming to have
- 33:26seen or pursued what they believe was a nawalt.
- 33:29An article dated August 12th, 2020 by Beatrice Garcia recounts
- 33:34a story originally shared by El Universal of an awal sighting in
- 33:38Soledad Doblado, a small Pueblo near Veracruz.
- 33:42She reports that on a Monday night, men, women and children
- 33:46worked together to chase an awal.
- 33:48The hysteria started when the claim that a figure with Gray
- 33:51eyes had been seen climbing a palm tree.
- 33:55They claimed that the figure appeared to be half man, half
- 33:57animal. Community members approached the
- 34:00creature with handfuls of rocks, sticks and even firearms in an
- 34:04attempt to get it to flee. Videos have spread online of the
- 34:08event. Clips of live streams from the
- 34:10moments have been shared across social media, or locals can be
- 34:13heard yelling that they've seen it and that it's on the run.
- 34:16Gunshots are fired before someone screamed that it's flown
- 34:19away. The commotion went on for about
- 34:21an hour, which ultimately alerted local authorities, who
- 34:24made the crowd disperse. Skeptics argue that these
- 34:27sightings can be attributed to misidentification, fear or
- 34:31folklore influencing perception. There is no physical evidence
- 34:34proving that noise exists. Much like other shape shifting
- 34:37legends, encounters are merely anecdotal and are rooted in
- 34:41community storytelling. So is the Nawala protector a
- 34:46witch? A misunderstood spiritual
- 34:48figure? And if you were an owal, what
- 34:51animal would you turn into? Beautiful question.
- 34:55If those were the only options, I would do no.
- 34:58No, there, I should have pulled up the whole list.
- 35:00So you're Nawali also means like a specific animal like y'all can
- 35:08correct me, but from the article I read, you are born with a
- 35:13specific animal attached to your calendar, kind of like the
- 35:17Chinese New Year, but it's based on your your your birth date.
- 35:22And that is the animal that you have connected to you
- 35:24spiritually, OK. And the Nawaz our ability to
- 35:27have an innate ability to really connect with those animals and
- 35:30therefore turn into them. OK.
- 35:33I'm trying to see if I can find the calendar.
- 35:36I think Jaguar is cool. I would love to turn to Jaguar.
- 35:39Hey what is it the Jaguar that has the the most?
- 35:42Was it PSI the bite force of all the big cats?
- 35:46I is it Jaguar I have? No idea, I trust you with all
- 35:49your zoology facts. I want to say it's a Jaguar.
- 35:55Let me no. I'm searching the.
- 35:57Cats, let me pull something up because as I mentioned, there
- 36:01was a news article regarding a sighting of the nawal.
- 36:06The Jaguar has the strongest bite of all big cats, boasting a
- 36:09bite for us of approximately 1500 to 2000 PSI.
- 36:13Nice. Damn.
- 36:14You hit that on that. OK, Jerry, I found the video
- 36:18that this article was referring to.
- 36:20Let me see that. OK, I wonder if I can put a clip
- 36:23of the audio in the podcast, but it's like almost 6 minutes long,
- 36:28so we're just kind of kind of skip around so I don't put the
- 36:30whole audio. But this is the pandemonium.
- 36:35Shot on iPhone fucking. Two yeah, grainy footage, but
- 36:42they're just they have their lights pointing up at a tree.
- 36:44There's dogs barking like crazy. Bro whoever has the lights, stop
- 36:52moving them. And they're also all just
- 36:54agitating one another like it's there.
- 36:56Yeah. This was a like a live stream.
- 37:16Someone was streaming on Instagram I believe.
- 37:23They. Have a whole like freaking
- 37:28neighborhood out here. They do.
- 37:59Granted, when I went through this video, there's a lot of
- 38:01moments where they're like, all there it is, there it is.
- 38:04I don't see nothing. I see.
- 38:05I don't see a single. Thing is, is the nawal in the
- 38:08room with us? I mean.
- 38:10There's clearly something there. The nawal is the friends we made
- 38:13on the. Laid You look around and we all
- 38:18have a beast inside of us. We just have to recognize.
- 38:24I don't know where I'm going with this.
- 38:25I'm sorry. So deep.
- 38:27My God, Jerry, you're right, we do.
- 38:29We do have that animalistic creature inside of us.
- 38:31That's dog in me trying to get out claws ways.
- 38:34The dog in me is a little dog with this like.
- 38:37It's a Chewanese little beep beep beep beep.
- 38:40OK, so the ones here say. And I think it has to do with
- 38:45the Mayan calendar. OK, find your Maya spirit
- 38:49companion. We're going to do yours because
- 38:51your birthday is coming up. OK, go over it.
- 38:53OK, Give us your birthday. March 8298.
- 39:01Damn. Jerry is a baby converter.
- 39:03Me. I'm.
- 39:05Just a little baby. The fuck is an at SNAB?
- 39:08What? The hell you call me?
- 39:10At SNAB I've been it represents the Flint knife, Obsidian and
- 39:16the white mirror. So you're my spirit companion is
- 39:20Damn, I should've done more research.
- 39:22I'm cutting all of this out. It's OK.
- 39:23Yeah. We'll get it out of it.
- 39:25Yeah, but it just gave me that some of these are ads for items.
- 39:33Yeah, that's me and Jerry are going down the exact same Google
- 39:37search. OK, Each thing is determined by
- 39:39your sun sign. And.
- 39:40Got it. OK, we're going to try this one.
- 39:42March. OK.
- 39:44The Flint. OK.
- 39:49Your tone number is 10. Galactic numbers 218.
- 39:55OK, so the tech battle is the 18th Aztec Day sign,
- 40:01representing a day of sacrifice, trial, and sharp widness, ruled
- 40:05by the deity Chalchi Huitotoline, the Jeweled Fowl.
- 40:12Cool. So your bird, is that what a
- 40:15fowl is? Yeah, I think so.
- 40:18I should know that. Yes.
- 40:21A rooster or hen. Oh, like a fowl?
- 40:23Yeah. Like like poultry?
- 40:26Terry is giving cock. If I had to choose, it would be
- 40:31some sort of hawk like I have to.
- 40:33I have to because my growing up it was bear like I had to be a
- 40:37grizzly bear. It was always grizzly bear.
- 40:40Now you'd still become a in my ripe age.
- 40:43I'm going bear hybrid. I'm kidding.
- 40:45I'm doing owl bear, owl bear and we're back to DND.
- 40:50And we're back to DND. How did you not?
- 40:52Gee, how did you not connect the dots?
- 40:54I'm so sorry. That's so cool dude.
- 41:00Like it's I, I, I believe it. And and one of your questions
- 41:04was, fuck, I'm forgetting it now.
- 41:08I'll bring them up. Is it like?
- 41:11Is it a protector? Is it a witch?
- 41:14Misunderstood spiritual misunderstood, yes, and I'm
- 41:17going to go and misunderstood because what's the what's the
- 41:19common theme? Outsiders invading an area.
- 41:23Some they're saying things they don't understand they attributed
- 41:26to negative. Yep, that is a common fucking
- 41:28story. That is the way.
- 41:29And and of course, in this instance, that instance, there's
- 41:32the people with, you know, more developed technology disease,
- 41:36and, you know, they're going to do everything they can to try to
- 41:39make people assimilate. And it's so crazy.
- 41:41You come in and invade and then you bring plague upon.
- 41:44US, yeah, upon our people, yeah. So it's automatically seen as.
- 41:48Where are the demons? Yeah, demons, dark witchcraft.
- 41:52It's evil. It's it's it's it's insane.
- 41:56It's sad. I saw a really good TikTok that
- 42:01I think when I was doing research for this, where the guy
- 42:03says it is a misrepresentation. The Christian white man brought
- 42:09about the idea of the devil. And that is your belief, not
- 42:12mine. And I'm like, damn, that's so.
- 42:15That's so smart. The devil's something you
- 42:16believe in. That is something that you
- 42:18brought to the people, the places you call it nice.
- 42:20And you instilled that fear. And it's a fear.
- 42:23And it's a fear. And you put, you destroyed, you
- 42:25pillaged, you stole. And you instead gave them back
- 42:29here as everything that you have to abide by.
- 42:31Anything that is not this is now of the devil.
- 42:35Yeah, is not normal. It's not meant to be.
- 42:37Exactly. Oh, I hate imperialism.
- 42:42Back to werewolves. Kidding.
- 42:44Yeah, no. I'd rather live in that reality
- 42:47of shape of of spiritual shape shifting deities.
- 42:52I I think I've mentioned this, I grew up reading animors and the
- 42:56prequels to those which are the Andalite Chronicles and not know
- 42:59that alien dude. If you were to search up and
- 43:01Andalite and I forget his name, the main character.
- 43:04I would used to read some of the Animorphs, but I never read them
- 43:06consecutively to know that there was a bigger story.
- 43:09Jake was my first introduction of a red tail hawk, you
- 43:13remember? Yeah.
- 43:13And then getting stuck in that form.
- 43:15And yeah, I retained very limited information in grade
- 43:18school and that's one of them. The end of like Chronicles.
- 43:21We read this in 3rd grade. This is probably 1 of like man,
- 43:24the first books that just got me into like fantasy and just a
- 43:30world of books. Like books were like I, I, I had
- 43:33a self awakening for like books and only for Animorphs, only for
- 43:39Animorphs. But that's, that's an Andelite
- 43:41right there. He's the.
- 43:42One that brought that technology.
- 43:45He's the one that brought that technology to.
- 43:47I forgot that they were aliens. Yep and he was running away.
- 43:52His crash ship crashed in on earth and the four kids found
- 43:57him at. Fuck dude, that throws me that
- 43:59that just takes me back. Damn, Jerry's reciting this just
- 44:01from memory, staring at the cover of this book.
- 44:05That's so cool, I really peaked in 3rd grade.
- 44:10OK. No, Jerry, you learn how to read
- 44:12again. I.
- 44:13Did I did. You read The Lord of the Rings?
- 44:15Yeah. And now we're on our way to
- 44:17Isengard to fight with the ants and Legolas and Gimli son.
- 44:23Oh, Brian also got me this little duck, Gimli, which is a
- 44:26dwarf in in Lord of the Rings. Gimli, son of glory.
- 44:30Yeah, pretty fucking awesome. I've.
- 44:32Never seen the Lord of the Rings movie, never read the books
- 44:35ever. Anything Jerry has said to me
- 44:36about this to me is just an original idea Jerry has had.
- 44:40Until I saw this Gimli at the sword.
- 44:43I'm like, damn, he did read. He did read that book.
- 44:49Hell yeah. Oh my God, back to to creatures
- 44:52that transform and just that idea and one of the other
- 44:58articles that I was reading about, Oh my shoulder pile
- 45:01reading about. The transfer rations happening
- 45:04is breaking bone. It's me, I'm brittle.
- 45:09Oh my God, I just said the word. I was thinking about it earlier,
- 45:12what do you call someone who transforms?
- 45:15Transform a transformer. Transformer transgression
- 45:21trends. I want to reiterate that I'm
- 45:27tired guys. Which already pulled up.
- 45:29I was like, I'm falling asleep on the couch.
- 45:32You did say it. I did.
- 45:34You said it like multiple times, Yeah.
- 45:35That's in my notes, I just have to find the exact.
- 45:38We're doing so much editing. No, we're going to leave it as
- 45:42is. You guys get a hear me struggle.
- 45:44Oh no, it it. Maybe I'm getting sick.
- 45:48No. Shapeshifter shape shifting is
- 45:51the word crazy. So shape shifting.
- 45:54The idea transcends boundaries, like the idea of people
- 46:00transforming into creatures has been found in so many ancient
- 46:04civilizations all around the world.
- 46:07Where does that? Come from?
- 46:08Where does this idea come from? Is there something just deep in
- 46:12our psyche that not that it knows it's a possibility?
- 46:17Or is there some sort of truth and everything?
- 46:21I got my tinfoil hat on my Ancient Aliens hat.
- 46:24Aliens. How?
- 46:28How has this story transcended eons?
- 46:31Not maybe, maybe not eons, but like thousands of years of
- 46:33humanity. I don't know.
- 46:36Let's ask the listeners, what do you know?
- 46:40If you do tell me, send me YouTube video with Tiktok.
- 46:43I'm very. Gullible and tired.
- 46:46And I'll believe anything you say, especially if I'm sleepy.
- 46:51Sleepy Brian Just like death, a lot of similar beliefs around
- 46:59the. World a lot of beliefs of of
- 47:01the. Life after death, like
- 47:04Underworld, that depiction of heaven, what that looks like.
- 47:08Yeah damn I wish I can transform into animals.
- 47:11I would love that. I play a druid.
- 47:13I love playing druids. I love transforming into ship.
- 47:16My current character is a lichen which he can turn into a hybrid.
- 47:21Werewolf and yet I'm the one that's all furry.
- 47:24Anything Jerry has ever done in DND has been animal related.
- 47:28I don't have pictures with whiskers drawn on my that's.
- 47:33Cold were ears. No, I actually played the one
- 47:40shot with the cat ears on. I lied because I was A to back
- 47:44seat. Back seat.
- 47:46Fuck, you see, I don't. I don't own cat ears right now.
- 47:49Takes a furry to know a furry. Is that you coming out, Jerry?
- 47:53Congratulations. Geez guys, catch me at Ren Fair
- 47:57in my full just. Wolf Jerry's into gifting.
- 48:01Hybrid what? What the fuck?
- 48:02I'm not going to. Explain that to you.
- 48:04You have to figure that out on your own.
- 48:07Google it later, I'm late at night when it's just you with
- 48:10your thoughts. With adults who's fast asleep.
- 48:13Yeah. She's reading and you're
- 48:15Googling Yipping. Yipping.
- 48:17So what are you doing, babe? Reading.
- 48:18Yeah. What?
- 48:19No, I'm reading too. I'm give.
- 48:22Keep you comments to yourself. What?
- 48:26I don't know. OK, I'll.
- 48:27I'll switch it up. I hope.
- 48:28I hope it's nothing. I'm not even going to finish
- 48:32that sentence. It probably is.
- 48:33I probably would experience it and then send me a text message
- 48:36later. If you guys could transform into
- 48:40any kind of creature, if you were a shapeshifter, what would
- 48:44you want to transform into? I have a 5050.
- 48:48I think I want to do something. Maybe we can give a top three.
- 48:54OK. I think I would want to be some
- 48:59sort of bird because the idea of flying you'd be traffic and if
- 49:05you fly low enough you don't have to worry about a plane.
- 49:08Yeah. But I don't know birds the way
- 49:10you do. What's a good bird that can like
- 49:14fly for hours? A lot of them.
- 49:18OK, good. So I'm just going to be a bird.
- 49:22A pretty 1 specifically. Pretty bird that can fly for
- 49:24hours. Yeah, you.
- 49:26Can think of that while I give you my other ones.
- 49:29How colorful? Sure.
- 49:32OK, I think I know. OK.
- 49:34And then I also want to be an aquatic animal.
- 49:38I feel like being a whale would be fun.
- 49:42An orca specifically like Free Willy and then a mammal.
- 49:50OK, so those are your three. You have to pick a flying an
- 49:53ocean or an aquatic animal and then a land man animal.
- 49:58I got those are those are the three food.
- 49:59Groups. I got them.
- 50:01Damn OK my ground one would be I don't want to commit to the bit.
- 50:12It's some sort of dog. A ton of squinkler.
- 50:17No, I know. Oh no, it's actually ugly.
- 50:21Not not not the trouble. I'm talking about the bird I'm
- 50:23looking. At I'm like, bitch, I want to
- 50:24get one of those eventually. Now I want to be like like a
- 50:29golden retriever. Golden.
- 50:31Oh my God, a golden retriever. I want to be a a fluffy dog, a
- 50:37boneless dog, one of those that just lop around.
- 50:40A boneless dog? Is that what you said?
- 50:42I mean, they got bones, but they're just all floppy, you
- 50:45know what I mean? Like a Like a weenie dog, like
- 50:48a. Sneaker.
- 50:49No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Like a golden retriever.
- 50:54Damn, I'm trying. I'm trying to remember the name
- 50:56of this bird. OK, well my third option is just
- 50:58bird nondescript. What are?
- 51:00What are yours? OK, because there's this one.
- 51:03I, I, I've always, I've always loved it.
- 51:04It's called. Cherry would be an Osprey, some
- 51:08sort of. Yeah.
- 51:08So it's an osprey. It's going to be the osprey, the
- 51:10flying bird. Favorite, favorite bird of all
- 51:11time. The osprey.
- 51:13It's you can name an osprey semi aquatic because it dives full
- 51:18body into the water. We saw one the other day.
- 51:20We did see one and you caught it, you found it, you located
- 51:23it. You were like, wow, so I would
- 51:25be an osprey flying animal. I would be a grizzly bear
- 51:28mammal. Like grizzly, like just full on
- 51:30grizzly bear and then not a brown bear.
- 51:33That's 2, two different animals. Yep, two different species.
- 51:37And then for Marine, I would be a giant Pacific octopus or some
- 51:41sort of octopus for sure. Aliens going back to that.
- 51:46Damned, I agree with you on that one.
- 51:48Look, look how cool that one looks, but I think this is
- 51:50flightless. I don't think this one.
- 51:51Fly. No, I I have to fly.
- 51:54Otherwise I would have been like an ostrich.
- 51:56Oh, but I mean, run fast as fuck, boy.
- 51:58Yeah. But the whole point is I want to
- 52:00feel the wind between my feathers.
- 52:02I get you, but do they fly? No, I think they do fly.
- 52:06What if I'm just like a Bluebird?
- 52:10Little Bluebird 'cause I was going to say like a a little.
- 52:13Oh my God, that one with a serpent tail, you know, Yes,
- 52:16Green emerald, The one. I think that's the one you did
- 52:21at Joel. I we did it.
- 52:24You did at Joel. No.
- 52:26What would you be? What would you turn into if you
- 52:28had the chance to turn into an animal?
- 52:32Three different animals I feel like.
- 52:33Yeah, give us give us your land, air and water.
- 52:36If I can do that, I don't care about being a werewolf or Vine
- 52:39Parry. Let me just turn into three
- 52:40different animals and that's it. That is it.
- 52:43And if you know someone out there who does turn into
- 52:45animals, please let. Let us know.
- 52:48Yeah, just hit up our DMS. We're down.
- 52:51We're down for anything. Let us know how we can start our
- 52:53own, you know, transformation. That'd be super cool.
- 52:57And we will pay you. Yeah.
- 53:01But I need to see a certificate of like business or something,
- 53:04something like professional maybe.
- 53:05Maybe a certificate from your local government saying
- 53:08acknowledging you of an anniversary or something.
- 53:11Yeah, that works or business card.
- 53:13Or business card? Hi everyone.
- 53:18Well, do you have any you have a song recommendation for the
- 53:21week? I feel like I do.
- 53:25I've been listening to my day list on Spotify recently, which
- 53:29I have not been doing because normally I just do Spotify DJ
- 53:33that, but it's always been so repetitive.
- 53:36The day list has to really like put me on some new stuff and I
- 53:40think was have I liked most recently.
- 53:45I'm going to recommend the song You're Still Everything by
- 53:53Madison Beer. She just dropped an album.
- 53:56That song. Really good really.
- 54:01I'll check it out. I'm going to recommend Bark at
- 54:03the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne. The Prince, so on the nose.
- 54:06So on the nose, on the dog nose. Oh.
- 54:08My God, on the snout. On the snout.
- 54:13And that's it. Thank you guys for listening.
- 54:18Oh, bye guys.
