The Terrible Outdoorsman · Nov 22, 2023 · 1h 5m

This weeks episode is live on location for Bob & Ryan's UP Deer Camp with their buddy Arnie Harris. Lots of laughs and good Deer Camp talk in this one. We talk the UP wolf population, Rifle Cartridges, Old stories and even a little UP fishing.

Here is Jason's version of the Poem:

Original by: George Augustus "Gus" Bixby in rural Wisconsin in 1905

PALACE IN THE POPPLE

It’s a smoky, raunchy bears’ nest

With an unswept, drafty floor.

And pillow ticking curtains

And apple pucker for a snort.

The smell of a pine knot fire

From a stove pipe that has come loose

Mingles sweetly with the boot grease…
