- 0:49Dayna Roselli: We gave you some podcast episodes over the last couple weeks, but we took a week off actually to spend time with our families in different locations.
- 0:56Dayna Roselli: We are back.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: We have hit the ground running, and we just wrapped up Sean's birthday celebration at the bootlegger.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: That was fun.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Another year older.
- 1:05Sean McAllister: Not sure if it's another year wiser, but you can count on getting older.
- 1:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was kind of a uh a whole string of events and outings.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: Yes, we did a lot, right?
- 1:17Sean McAllister: All week.
- 1:18Sean McAllister: So uh stopped into Bavett's last week for a quick dinner.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: And I've gotta say, we sat at the bar, I got a shrimp cocktail and a wedge salad.
- 1:28Dayna Roselli: Nice.
- 1:28Sean McAllister: And that was a full meal.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's big.
- 1:32Sean McAllister: Those shrimp are are huge, and they they'll even uh chop up the wedge salad for you.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: Nice so you don't have to, you know, saw through a big head of lettuce.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: Right.
- 1:41Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, we went to bootleggers, uh, great Italian place, old school vibes down South Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Randy Couture, the MMA legend, was in there, saw him.
- 1:54Dayna Roselli: That was fun, yeah.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: And we had someone at our table who was visiting and in town for WrestleMania, and he was really excited to see Randy.
- 2:01Sean McAllister: He was like, Oh my gosh, is that really Randy Couture?
- 2:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: That's I we run into him, ironically, quite frequently uh over there.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: I I saw him at Manalay Bay recently as well.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:13Sean McAllister: Um, and then uh kind of rounded out the the weekend at uh Botelia at Green Valley Ranch popped in for brunch.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 2:22Sean McAllister: And that's a great brunch spot.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: Really pretty restaurant.
- 2:24Sean McAllister: And I always forget about going there, and I want to go and eat there more often because it's just so pretty and bright and airy and the food is delicious.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Green Valley Ranch, it's uh great.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: Um and you went to see Bernadette Peters at the Smith Center.
- 2:38Dayna Roselli: Uh, we also both went to at separate times the big 20th anniversary over at Red Rock.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: They did a great Taste of Station culinary poolside event.
- 2:46Dayna Roselli: They had a fabulous drone show, which was a little bit of a surprise for everyone that was that was there.
- 2:51Dayna Roselli: And if you've never seen a drone show, they're just so cool because you watch them all start to form something and you're like, ooh, what's it gonna be?
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: And they had a lot of different things.
- 3:01Dayna Roselli: They had a chef, they had a slot machine, uh 20th anniversary, uh, Red Rock.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: They had it actually created the building structure.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: You know how it kind of swoops up?
- 3:11Sean McAllister: That was cool.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and just did a lot of different things, champagne bottles, so it was a lot of fun.
- 3:16Dayna Roselli: Um, and then we'll also be at the journey concert that will be poolside at Red Rock to celebrate the 20th as well.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: Um, and also coming up is the Stratosphere 30th anniversary, kind of keeping with that anniversary theme.
- 3:30Dayna Roselli: April 30th, the Strat celebrates 30 years.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: They're doing a free live concert by Better Than Ezra at the their poolside venue, um, swim and social.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: So I can't believe all these big milestones are coming up.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: I know it's kind of crazy, but I like that it's really fun what Strat is doing with their poolside concert because they opened back in 1996.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:55Sean McAllister: So they wanted to have a 90s vibe with their concert.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: So they brought Better Than Ezra out.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: Right.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: And that's gonna be, I mean, that is in my playlist of 90s music.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:09Sean McAllister: That's like my late high school and college time, and it's gonna be good.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: Well, it's good.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: That's one of their big songs, as a matter of fact.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: Good.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that'll be good, good, good.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: Um, so congratulations to the strat.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: You know, I mean, you can't come to Vegas and not, if you've never been there, you you always see it.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: Let's put it that way, right?
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: Um, and speaking of coming here, um, you know, the airport, I feel like lately with the the rise in, you know, airport tickets, the issues we had with the government stuff, the TSA lines were long, all these different things.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: And they're working really hard at our airport here in Las Vegas to keep things running smooth.
- 4:50Dayna Roselli: And I noticed uh that they put out on social media that you can now see the TSA wait times live on the web.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: And that's a big deal.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: You used to be able to go to the average and get go to the TSA app, but now you can go to Harry ReedAirport.com and you'll see the approximate wait times for security.
- 5:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, and they've really uh invested a lot in making their website a lot more user-friendly and having a lot of features that are really going to help travelers.
- 5:20Sean McAllister: Some of the interactive uh terminal maps that they have on there are fantastic.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: Uh, you can see where the terminals are, you can see the the food and beverage options in each of the terminals.
- 5:33Sean McAllister: Uh so it is.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: It's really great that they've invested in making that user experience a lot better.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: Even before you get to the airport, you can acquaint yourself.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: Uh, in addition to that, uh a new uh airline route has just been added as well.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: Air France is now offering non-stop service from Harry Reid Airport here in Las Vegas to Paris.
- 5:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, three weekly flights.
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: So a lot.
- 6:02Dayna Roselli: And it's exciting because whenever you hear non-stop, your ears perk up.
- 6:05Dayna Roselli: I love a good non-stop flight.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: I mean, it really doesn't it make a big difference as time goes by.
- 6:11Sean McAllister: Everything, man, those non-stops really are clutch.
- 6:15Sean McAllister: And with the way that air traffic, if there's one delay, it can have such a a trickle effect that it I feel like it never got, it never was that bad before.
- 6:29Sean McAllister: Like if there was a delay or if there was something, but the I don't know, the way that schedules are now, it can throw off your entire your entire trip.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, well, and the thing is if it's a non-stop and it's delayed, it's just like, okay, that's not taking off, turn around and go home.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: Well, exactly.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: And but you don't have to worry about making your connection.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:49Sean McAllister: Is the the thing.
- 6:51Dayna Roselli: So that's huge and that's exciting for everyone that loves to visit Petty.
- 6:55Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, and the thing is it's also what like you were saying with the website being good, and you're like, well, why would I need to know all that stuff?
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: But a lot of people really go to the airport early or expect to have, you know, like, you know, you got to check out of your hotel and you want to go early or whatever.
- 7:10Dayna Roselli: You're coming in with people and they're all coming in at different times and that kind of thing.
- 7:14Sean McAllister: One thing I did learn, I spent some time uh with my family.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: Uh we went to South Carolina and stayed at the beach and it was great.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: But on the way back, my family had like an 11 a.m.
- 7:27Sean McAllister: flight uh back up to the uh to western New York.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: And our flight wasn't until 4:30 in the afternoon.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: So we all piled in the car together, got to the airport.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: I did not realize that you cannot check your bags in at the ticket counter more than four hours before your scheduled departure.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: You'd think, you know, you're trying to be all efficient, right?
- 7:52Sean McAllister: I know, and they don't really have uh a lot of bag checks at airports either.
- 7:58Sean McAllister: So we had to kind of camp out at the ticketing area for a few hours.
- 8:05Dayna Roselli: And there's no like concessions or anything, is there?
- 8:07Sean McAllister: I mean, there was a little coffee shop down there.
- 8:09Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay, well.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: And there was like a little uh like one of the airport um one of the little airport stores.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: Oh, okay.
- 8:15Sean McAllister: That had like neck pillows and you know, all the stuff.
- 8:19Sean McAllister: So there was there was stuff down there, but it's not an area that's made to like hang out in.
- 8:26Sean McAllister: So that is one thing that I did learn.
- 8:29Sean McAllister: So if you are planning on getting to the airport super early for whatever reason, four hours before your departure, you can't check your bags in.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, good to know.
- 8:42SPEAKER_02: And then you gotta check them in, and then you gotta go sit around again.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: Then you gotta wait for your oh my gosh.
- 8:47SPEAKER_02: Well, we did.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: We we did get lounge passes though.
- 8:50Sean McAllister: So at least we had you know drinks and food waiting for us on the other side of security.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: Gosh, yeah, it's a lot.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: Travel's a lot, it's not for everyone.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: People love it.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: Some people love it.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: I do not love it.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: I like it.
- 9:02Dayna Roselli: I don't love it.
- 9:03Sean McAllister: We have friends who are who travel a ton for work, and it seems like they're always living out of a suitcase.
- 9:10Sean McAllister: And I'm like, man, how do you do this?
- 9:13SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 9:14Sean McAllister: I like being home.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Me too.
- 9:17Sean McAllister: I like to go places, but I like to be home a lot too.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: And if I do go someplace, I like short jaunts.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: I don't know why.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: Everyone's different, whatever.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: Anyway, we love that you love to visit us here in Las Vegas.
- 9:28Dayna Roselli: And we told you about the MGM Resorts All-Inclusive Experience deal.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: And everyone's rolling out deals now.
- 9:35Dayna Roselli: So we're not gonna get into the thick of it.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: Um, but we wanted you to know that Caesars does have an inclusive summer package deal now that they rolled out.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: And that is for the Link Hotel, Flamingo, and Hara's.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: That's$200 per night for one guest.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: It includes resort fees and taxes.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: Each additional guest is an additional hundred bucks, but you're getting uh ride on the high roller observation wheel, you're getting discounts at the cabana and day beds at the pool at the link, you're getting bottomless well drinks, house wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages at Select Bars at Hera's Link in Flamingo.
- 10:13Dayna Roselli: And you're also getting, I think it's two meals a day for that one.
- 10:18Dayna Roselli: And you can use full service restaurants like uh Gordon Ramsey, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieti, and so um a lot of different options there.
- 10:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, Caesars on the front page of their uh website, Caesars.com, C-A-E-S-A-R-S.com.
- 10:35Sean McAllister: Uh, if you scroll just down from the the top of the page, you'll see an entire carousel of all the deals that they have going on right now.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: And they have a specific page that's dedicated to all the deals.
- 10:48Sean McAllister: There's a variety of them that they're offering.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: So uh go Caesars.com, check out all the deals that they've got there.
- 10:56Dayna Roselli: And Circa brought back it's uh we're talking about Circa Downtown, brought back its all-in package for the summer.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: That is available to book starting May 19th to September 10th, and that's available for midweek stays.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: The$400 package provides uh an all-in-one escape, they say, at the adults only hot spot.
- 11:17Dayna Roselli: It is 21 and over, the resort.
- 11:19Dayna Roselli: Um, but it does uh include the room.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: You also get like a day bed, I think it is, at Stadium Swim.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: There's a lot that's uh involved in the all-in package.
- 11:30Sean McAllister: You can go up to the long list.
- 11:32Sean McAllister: Yeah, the legacy club up on the roof, the mega bar, the overhang bar, the circa bar.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: They've got a lot of bars.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: A lot of bars, yes.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Derek Stevens loves his bars.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, you get a hundred dollar dining credit to use at the property at those places, and there's a lot of other little things, so a lot of perks.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: But again, go to circalosvegas.com.
- 11:52Dayna Roselli: You'll see the all-in-summer hotel package and check it out.
- 11:55Dayna Roselli: The plaza's doing something of its own.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: So a lot of different things coming out.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Summer might be the time for you, spring summer, to visit Las Vegas.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: It's very affordable.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: It is.
- 12:06Sean McAllister: There are a ton of deals that are out there right now.
- 12:11Sean McAllister: So just keep that in mind.
- 12:13Sean McAllister: Look around, look at the uh websites of different properties because each one is offering something different right now.
- 12:21Sean McAllister: So check that out.
- 12:22Sean McAllister: It'll definitely have an impact on your pocketbook and save you some cash.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: Um, you just mentioned the plaza, Dana, and they're rolling out something new.
- 12:32Sean McAllister: They're putting in a high limit gaming room over there at Plaza, and this is for uh some slot games, some state-of-the-art slot games for high limit players.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's coming later this summer, so it's not open just yet.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: But I was reading about it and I was like, you know, a lot of people get excited over high limit gaming rooms, and I was like, wow, look at all the little perks that you get.
- 12:55Dayna Roselli: But it's on it's gonna be on the main casino floor.
- 12:58Dayna Roselli: Um, and apparently it will have 60 state-of-the-art games, including several electronic table games for an enhanced experience.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: They will also offer players convenient amenities like a concierge desk where casino hosts can assist with booking dinner reservations at Oscar Steakhouse, get hotel upgrades, uh, cabana on the plaza's rooftop pool.
- 13:22Dayna Roselli: Um, they're gonna have dedicated cocktail servers and around the clock and all sorts of stuff.
- 13:27Dayna Roselli: So if you are one of those people who loves your high-limit gaming room, Plaza's getting one.
- 13:31Sean McAllister: And Jonathan Jostle knows what he's doing over there at Plaza.
- 13:34Sean McAllister: So I have a feeling that that is gonna have uh it's gonna attract a lot of players over there.
- 13:41Sean McAllister: Well, we know that Las Vegas is a constantly evolving city and the landscape of entertainment is always changing.
- 13:50Sean McAllister: The landscape of food is changing now too, with a couple long time restaurants going away.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:57Sean McAllister: Starting with La Cirque over at Bellagio, this is a restaurant that opened with that property.
- 14:04Sean McAllister: So it's been there for a such a long time now.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: Yeah, October 1998.
- 14:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, and it's become it had become a mainstay and really helped put Las Vegas on the map culinarily.
- 14:19Dayna Roselli: Mm-hmm.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it and a lot of people on uh Twitter were actually responding to our message there saying, no, like I had my special birthday dinner there or my anniversary.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: I mean, it is a treat to go there, it's a stunning restaurant.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: Um, but they're gonna close permanently after dinner service on Sunday, August 23rd.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: So you have some time.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: You might want to get on now and book.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: Um, but apparently it's gonna transition into a new culinary concept um that will open about mid-2027.
- 14:48Dayna Roselli: So I'm sure they have something amazing coming, but it is sad to see to see that close.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: It's been a big part of the Bellagio, which is iconic all around the world.
- 14:57Sean McAllister: And it sounds like they're they're going to have uh more things planned to celebrate the legacy of Le Cirque here in uh Las Vegas as well.
- 15:07Sean McAllister: Another bit of news that we got is that the MGM Grand Buffet is going to permanently close as of May 31st.
- 15:16Sean McAllister: So still, I don't know, a few more weeks to take advantage of that.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: But uh, we were just kind of talking about how uh that was one of the remaining buffets here in Las Vegas, but its time is now limited.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: I know the buffet, and we always say the buffet is going away, but no, there are plenty of buffets still, but this was one of them, and so it's kind of a bummer.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: They don't have any immediate plans for the space at this time, but um they do say that they do have you know a lot of breakfast and lunch options at MGM Grand, so keep that in mind.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: If you want to get in, you gotta go before May 31st.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: So, and they have a lot of events coming up.
- 15:54Dayna Roselli: Um, what the country music awards, country music awards, and the American Music Awards at MGM Grand in the month of May.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: So, you know, all our A listers and all our top singers, if you're coming into town, you might want to hit the buffet for one last time.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: After you hit the red carpet in that dress.
- 16:13Sean McAllister: You've been that's been fitted within a millimeter of your life.
- 16:18Dayna Roselli: Hey, speaking of singers, we just got our Cindy Lopper tickets uh texted to us for opening night because we're covering that.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: Cindy's kicking off at the Coliseum.
- 16:26Dayna Roselli: We're excited to see her show.
- 16:27Dayna Roselli: We'll let you know how it is.
- 16:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, I've seen that she's been posting videos of her rehearsals and she was just in town uh performing at a uh benefit for uh a nonprofit organization.
- 16:39Sean McAllister: So uh it'll be good to see her.
- 16:41Sean McAllister: I've never seen her do her thing on stage.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: I talked to her, I did an interview with her uh having to do with kinky boots when that came through Las Vegas, but never seen her like do her own music.
- 16:53Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 16:54Dayna Roselli: It's gonna be great.
- 16:56Dayna Roselli: And speaking of, you know, iconic women singers, we just interviewed Tiffany.
- 16:59Dayna Roselli: We'll have that in an upcoming podcast, but she's gonna be in town, she's debuting and launching a new cookbook that mixes music and 80s food.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:08Sean McAllister: A very nostalgic project.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, it is.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: And pretty cool.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: Um, and she's having an event here in Vegas, so we'll tell you more about that.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: Um, but hey, let's go back to downtown.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: I saw this, Sean, and I thought, ooh, this sounds fun.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: We've been to Cheap Shot.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: We went to a couple people's birthday parties at Cheap Shot.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Uh it's a downtown bar.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Um, it's kind of like a, I feel like it's it's like a little burlesque kind of club.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: They got a little corner where they play live music, jazzy, kind of fun.
- 17:33Dayna Roselli: But they are doing, um, they've debuted a piano bar care.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: It's called piano bar karaoke, and it's held from 5 to 11, Thursday through Monday.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: It's a new late night experience that blends Las Vegas' signature spectacle with live music, crowd-driven karaoke, and curated cocktails.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: And I thought, wow, this sounds different and sounds really fun.
- 17:55Sean McAllister: It does.
- 17:56Sean McAllister: And you know, it I think the uh piano karaoke is what it what kind of gives me a throwback kind of vibe because in the early 2000s, it seemed like there were dueling piano bars everywhere around Las Vegas, and those were just so much fun because it's the music, it's like all the bangers that everybody sings along to.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: You know, they do journey, everyone's uh, you know, it's I think this is gonna be a hit.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's great, and I'm glad it's like downtown, you know?
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: Yes, because there's a lot of things you can find on the strip, but um cheap shots over there on Fremont East.
- 18:36Sean McAllister: So and when you're in there, look at the pictures on the wall because it's very they have very unique art.
- 18:42Sean McAllister: They do.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: It's a cool, it's a cool spot.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: It is a good little spot.
- 18:46Dayna Roselli: Um back to the strip, just FYI.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: If you're coming in for Mother's Day, um Sunday, May 11th is Mother's Day, and if you want to make some reservations, La Fontaine at the Fountain Blue is doing their um uh Mother's Day brunch menu that blends a bunch of different things.
- 19:03Dayna Roselli: And I have I did their Easter one where it was like a prefix and you had to pay one price, and it was just absolutely delicious, but also very stunning.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: So, what I so I guess I'm suggesting if you if you want to do an elevated Mother's Day experience, this they do a great job, and it's great because they're there, they're celebrating the moms, you're coming in, you're gonna get treated special.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: Um, it's priced at$135 per guest,$69 for children under 12, but you do get a lot of food with it, and they usually do a lot of special things.
- 19:36Dayna Roselli: So La Fontaine at uh Fountain Blue, and it's beautiful in there.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: It's like pinks and maroons and creams, it's a stunning restaurant.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Very, very mother, like Mother's Day.
- 19:47Sean McAllister: It is, it's something that mom would definitely enjoy.
- 19:50Sean McAllister: Um, and they're everything that I've had at La Fontaine has been delicious, and they have great coffee too.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, just their regular coffee is so good.
- 19:59Dayna Roselli: Because it comes out in like the pot and you pour your own.
- 20:01Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, it's so good.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: Well, they pour that for you, and then you get you know the leftover.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:06Dayna Roselli: Um, so that's happening Mother's Day.
- 20:08Dayna Roselli: And if we hear of other things that um, you know, catch our attention, we'll share other Mother's Day experience stuff coming up in the next few shows.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: There's a lot going on.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Mary J.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: Blige Blige is about to uh launch her show May 1st.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: So lots of shows are kicking off here in Las Vegas.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: We're gonna go finally check out Empire Strikes Back at the Rio.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: Strips back.
- 20:30Dayna Roselli: Strips back, sorry.
- 20:31Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: Strips back.
- 20:33Dayna Roselli: Apparently, they're adding shows.
- 20:35Dayna Roselli: It's so popular that everyone's loving it.
- 20:37Dayna Roselli: So we're gonna go see that.
- 20:39Sean McAllister: And this is a Star Wars-themed burlesque parody show.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: Sounds interesting.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: I'm excited to see it finally.
- 20:47Sean McAllister: And apparently, a lot of people have gone to see it.
- 20:49Sean McAllister: So we're gonna go check that out.
- 20:51Sean McAllister: That'll be fun.
- 20:52Dayna Roselli: Uh, but first we have some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 20:57Dayna Roselli: John, there's so much Tom Cruise news, I don't even know where to start.
- 21:01Sean McAllister: Oh my god.
- 21:02Sean McAllister: Well, listen, I know that it has been an exciting uh week or so because Cinemacon has been happening here in Las Vegas.
- 21:11Sean McAllister: This is an annual uh convention and gathering of movie theater owners and also vendors that serve movie theater.
- 21:22Sean McAllister: So there's one section of this gathering that is geared toward everything you would find at a movie theater, concessions, new seats, new projection system, high-tech stuff, all that high-tech stuff.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: But then another part of it are movie studios that are coming here with their big stars to present their coming attractions to movie theater owners so that they get excited about promoting these movies.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:53Dayna Roselli: And Tom Cruise was here in Las Vegas.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: He comes a lot for Cinemacon when he's got something coming out.
- 21:58Dayna Roselli: Um, but he's gonna he's in a new movie called Dick.
- 22:00Dayna Roselli: And so while he was here, he also, I don't know if it was like specifically him, but um, you know, confirmed that Top Gun Three is in in the works, and so it's super exciting, and that he is gonna be a part of it because people thought maybe Top Gun Three, like maybe he's gonna just pass the torch on now.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: You know, it's gonna go to Miles Teller, Goose's son, and he's gonna take it and they're gonna build this whole story around that and have the mentions of everything.
- 22:29Dayna Roselli: But no, apparently Tom Cruise is gonna be in this, so that's exciting.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Um, I saw John Hamm talking about it too.
- 22:35Dayna Roselli: So Top Gun Three is in the works.
- 22:38Dayna Roselli: Also, um FYI Top Gun is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
- 22:45Dayna Roselli: So on the week of May 13th, for one week only, they just announced that um they're gonna put Top Gun the Original and the second one in theaters back to back for one week only.
- 22:58Dayna Roselli: So we uh gotta go to that.
- 23:01Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, and then I also saw a photo of Tom uh with a fan or someone um at Peter Luger's steakhouse.
- 23:07Dayna Roselli: So he was at Caesars Eaton and you know, doing his thing.
- 23:10Sean McAllister: And there were a ton of other stars here too.
- 23:13Sean McAllister: Uh Dwayne the Rock Johnson was here, Zendaya, Timothy Chalamet, Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Michael B.
- 23:19Sean McAllister: Jordan, Queen Latifah, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Jack Black.
- 23:26Sean McAllister: Uh, and that's just some of them.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: And Sandra Bullock made her Instagram debut right around Cinemacon.
- 23:32Dayna Roselli: She never had an account.
- 23:33Sean McAllister: Oh, really?
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: Somebody made her get it.
- 23:35Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you gotta go follow her.
- 23:36Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 23:37Sean McAllister: I like Sandra.
- 23:38Sean McAllister: I know a lot.
- 23:38Dayna Roselli: She never had Instagram.
- 23:40Dayna Roselli: Oh, I forget who it was that made her sign up.
- 23:42Dayna Roselli: It wasn't Nicole Kidman.
- 23:44Dayna Roselli: Um, oh, I think it was Jennifer Aniston got her signed up like kind of like a couple weeks before she came into town to they're pushing practical magic.
- 23:54Sean McAllister: Oh, gosh.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: So I think they're like, you gotta be on the socials.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: Finally.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: So anyway, Sandra Bullock Snow, yeah, on Instagram.
- 24:00Dayna Roselli: Oh, well, good for Sandy.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: Huge A-listers in town for Cinemacon.
- 24:04Sean McAllister: Oh, it's it's always a massive event.
- 24:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, so we had lots of stars, lots of star sightings, but that wasn't the end of it.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 24:11Dayna Roselli: While we were gone, Bruno Mars got a street named after him here in Las Vegas.
- 24:15Dayna Roselli: Bruno Mars Drive is now right in front of Park MGM.
- 24:19Dayna Roselli: There was a huge parade.
- 24:20Dayna Roselli: It was Bruno Mars Day.
- 24:23Dayna Roselli: There was a proclamation, he got a key to the strip, he gave away like a million dollars to a children's charity.
- 24:30Dayna Roselli: I mean, it was just a whole big day.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: Then he kicked off his world tour here in Las Vegas at Allegiance Stadium.
- 24:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and uh, if you missed the two shows that he did here to kick off that tour, he's going uh across the country and around the world now.
- 24:46Sean McAllister: So look and see if he's coming anywhere near you.
- 24:49Sean McAllister: Uh, if you live in Southern California, I know he's going to be back there for a string of shows.
- 24:54Dayna Roselli: Yeah, September 30th, he starts that.
- 24:56Sean McAllister: Yeah, and late in the fall.
- 24:57Sean McAllister: And um So that's your chance, right?
- 25:00Sean McAllister: Yeah, so that's your chance.
- 25:01Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because I think he went from here to Arizona, so he's kind of like going across.
- 25:04Dayna Roselli: Um, but let's listen to Bruno.
- 25:06Dayna Roselli: He was excited and he did talk about, you know, how he started here in Las Vegas years and years ago.
- 25:13Dayna Roselli: And the and he talked about how he had a lot of people to think.
- 25:16Dayna Roselli: Anyway, let's listen to him uh on stage.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: Las Vegas, um I'm at a loss for words.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: This is so beautiful.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Thank you guys so much for turning out in this sun.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Being able to perform for Tumor Cino every night, you never know what you're gonna get, and you get to meet and sing for people all over the world and and and and experience different cultures.
- 26:10SPEAKER_00: It's such a privilege, and I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for giving me this today.
- 26:16Dayna Roselli: I didn't know Bruno was from Honolulu.
- 26:18Dayna Roselli: We learned that.
- 26:19Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 26:20Sean McAllister: There are actually videos out there of Bruno performing as a kid on stage in Hawaii as a little Elvis.
- 26:30Dayna Roselli: Well, he just shared one.
- 26:31Dayna Roselli: Uh, he put it in his story the other day, so he's definitely proud of it.
- 26:34Dayna Roselli: You don't either.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: Yes, he is.
- 26:36Dayna Roselli: And it was so cute.
- 26:38Sean McAllister: It's adorable.
- 26:38Dayna Roselli: It's adorable.
- 26:40Sean McAllister: So I've had the entertainer in him since he was a little kid.
- 26:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he really, really.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: And there, you know, are so many streets here in Vegas.
- 26:48Dayna Roselli: Um, we have an Elvis Presley, a Frank Sinatra, a Dean Martin, a Sammy Davis Jr.
- 26:52Dayna Roselli: But I mean, I feel like Bruno is one of very few current singer or performers.
- 26:59Dayna Roselli: We have iconic people.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:01Dayna Roselli: We have the Siegfried and Roy, we got the Frank Marino, we got the Robin Leach.
- 27:05Dayna Roselli: I mean, we have little, you know, streets around town and the Jay Sarnos and things like that.
- 27:10Sean McAllister: But for a contemporary artist, I think he's pr kind of maybe the theory.
- 27:17Sean McAllister: Yeah, the last big street naming that we saw was uh the Cirque Show Mystery.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 27:23Sean McAllister: Had a uh the street in front of Treasure Island named after the show.
- 27:27Sean McAllister: But yeah, this is a big deal for Bruno.
- 27:28Sean McAllister: And by the way, his residency show over at Park MGM has brought in more than 880,000 fans in the decade that decade plus that he's now been performing here.
- 27:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean he's definitely brought people in, and then he did Silksonic.
- 27:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and then he's done shows at MJM Grand and T-Mobile and Allegiant Stadium and all that kind of thing.
- 27:51Dayna Roselli: So I mean, I don't know if he's ever performed at T-Mobile, probably not, because he'd probably need in an Allegiant size.
- 27:57Dayna Roselli: Unless he has like before Allegiant was built.
- 27:59Dayna Roselli: Anyway, regardless, he's he's been here for a long time and he said, I love Las Vegas.
- 28:03Dayna Roselli: You heard him.
- 28:04Dayna Roselli: So I think that's cool.
- 28:05Dayna Roselli: Um, and people love Bruno, and it's hard to get up close and personal with Bruno.
- 28:09Dayna Roselli: So all those fans that came in for the romantic tour, I love it because they had this extra bonus of pop, there were pop-ups all around town.
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: They got to see the parade, stand out there while Bruno spoke and took, you know, they unveiled the sign.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, what a moment for them.
- 28:25Sean McAllister: Yeah, and to have that, you know, pop-up concert out there too.
- 28:29Sean McAllister: What a what a cool experience and one of those experiences that you pretty much are only going to have in Las Vegas, you know, and then follow that up with Cinemacon and have all these stars walking around and have WrestleMania mixed in there at the same time and have WWE stars everywhere.
- 28:48Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 28:49Sean McAllister: I mean, it's a it's uh pretty cool.
- 28:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 28:52Dayna Roselli: I mean, Vegas is great.
- 28:53Dayna Roselli: Sometimes when I land here back from when I leave, I'm like, oh, I really do love it here.
- 28:57Sean McAllister: So do I.
- 28:59Sean McAllister: I love getting off the plane and seeing the slot machines.
- 29:03Sean McAllister: It just makes me feel like home.
- 29:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, there's like a smell, a certain smell, and then like the warmth.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: It's usually mild.
- 29:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, we have our windy days and an occasional cloudy day, but usually when you step outside, you're like, oh, it's calm.
- 29:16unknown: I know.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: There's a calm.
- 29:17Dayna Roselli: It's like a fun, exciting calm.
- 29:19Sean McAllister: It is.
- 29:20Sean McAllister: The calm before all the before we go out and go to all these shows and restaurants and events.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: We do have a lot.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: We have a lot coming up.
- 29:31Dayna Roselli: It never ends here in Vegas.

- 29:53Dayna Roselli: And everyone always tells me they enjoyed it after.
- 29:56Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 29:56Sean McAllister: I I I just got a message from uh a guy I went to high school with.
- 30:01Sean McAllister: He was like, Hey, my sons are now both 21 years old.

- 30:18Sean McAllister: I said, now is a great time to bring your sons because you're gonna find some some good deals.

- 30:30Dayna Roselli: And I think they were in one of those driverless cars.
- 30:34Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 30:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he was like in there and he was like showing me the voice, and I was like, Oh, we haven't tried that yet.
- 30:38Dayna Roselli: We got we gotta maybe try it.
