- 1:37Speaker 2: so good, good Thursday, so far. Yeah, tried out some
- 1:40Speaker 2: hot sauce. I think I'm gonna come out with a
- 1:42Speaker 2: hot sauce soon.
- 1:42Speaker 3: You're gonna come out with a hot sauce. Yeah, ross sauce, Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 3: ross sauce. Oh, that's perfect right, just makes sense.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It's in the prophecy. I have to fulfill the scroll.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And we talked about this a few years ago. And
- 1:54Speaker 2: by the way, you actually have a great connection for that, because, man,
- 1:58Speaker 2: your boy Moe love his hot sauce that he does
- 2:02Speaker 2: has multiple hot sauces. We got like three or four
- 2:04Speaker 2: of those things. Don't Yeah, I'm going green hot sauce.
- 2:06Speaker 2: If you were to make a hot sauce, what color
- 2:09Speaker 2: is it going to be? You know, it's funny. I
- 2:11Speaker 2: actually probably would do something in that tomatillo based hot
- 2:15Speaker 2: sauce because it has a natural natural tartness the tomatillo's do,
- 2:19Speaker 2: and you can really get that spicy with some other
- 2:22Speaker 2: uh peppers and whatnot. I like, hell yeah, you're hitting
- 2:25Speaker 2: it with the tom Dude. It's almost like a first name,
- 2:27Speaker 2: last name Tomatillo. Yeah, Thomas Thomas Tello. I'm a salsa
- 2:30Speaker 2: verde guy. Salsa verde like in the green Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:35Speaker 2: that same.
- 2:36Speaker 3: My favorite.
- 2:37Speaker 2: The favorite chili I ever made in my life, my
- 2:40Speaker 2: son liked was a pork chili, a carneitis chili that
- 2:43Speaker 2: had that was tomatio based, and we called it the
- 2:45Speaker 2: Green Monster.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Nobody else liked it. Like I served at the chili contest.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Won nothing, literally won nothing, got laughed out of the building.
- 2:52Speaker 3: My son thought it was the best thing I've ever
- 2:54Speaker 3: cooked in my life. I actually thought it was pretty
- 2:55Speaker 3: good too, but it was so far removed from your
- 2:58Speaker 3: normal chili that people just simply didn't know how to
- 3:00Speaker 3: react to it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: And it's from my friend's backyard. Oh really yeah, yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 2: he just loves growing peppers and is this hot? Hobnio's
- 3:08Speaker 2: are like klipino based this I forgot what to ask,
- 3:12Speaker 2: but there's like five different peppers in it.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I know Pablano's one of them is good. Polano's kind
- 3:16Speaker 3: of kind of a mild pepper.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Well, I just remember him telling me about the poblanos
- 3:21Speaker 2: to build up the body, and I was like, Poblano body,
- 3:23Speaker 2: and then it was just fun to say. But that's
- 3:26Speaker 2: Pablano Cruz would be a cool There's an old band
- 3:29Speaker 2: called Pablo Cruise, but Peplano Cruz will be a cool name.
- 3:31Speaker 3: There you go.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But Poplanos have a you're right, it's more of a
- 3:35Speaker 2: wholesome kind of uh mellow, but whole flavor as opposed
- 3:40Speaker 2: to you know, your peppers like hobby narrows and kilipinos.
- 3:44Speaker 2: Who have you know that spice almost immediately Hobbinio's for sure. Yeah,
- 3:47Speaker 2: my friend who really loves making hot sauces and growing chili's,
- 3:51Speaker 2: but he also loves playing dungeons and dragons. So he
- 3:55Speaker 2: named his company Sauce Wizards. That's good, right, Oh, I
- 4:00Speaker 2: thought it was cool. There's a funny thing in real
- 4:02Speaker 2: radio history. I think I've told you this before, right,
- 4:05Speaker 2: we did a hot sauce as a radio station years ago. Right,
- 4:09Speaker 2: And I don't know who the who the maker was
- 4:12Speaker 2: or the fulfiller was. It was somebody here locally flat.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I don't know if it was flash, but flats conserves
- 4:18Speaker 2: made by somebody too. Okay, Yeah, so it's a there's
- 4:20Speaker 2: a company out Longwood who actually does this for a
- 4:22Speaker 2: lot of people. It's a packer and you go in
- 4:24Speaker 2: there with your recipe and they make it. You test it,
- 4:26Speaker 2: if you like it, they bottle it up, you bring
- 4:28Speaker 2: the label, and off you go. You got to catch
- 4:29Speaker 2: yourself a product. But we made one, and uh, it
- 4:33Speaker 2: was great. Everybody loved it. And then about three or
- 4:36Speaker 2: four weeks after we released it and people started getting it,
- 4:39Speaker 2: we started kind of getting some complaints that the bottle
- 4:42Speaker 2: would explode on you.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Why whoa what was happening it?
- 4:46Speaker 2: And I don't I don't know not the bottle like
- 4:48Speaker 2: it wouldn't blow up like a handgar nad, but when
- 4:50Speaker 2: you took the top off, it would just kind of erupt.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And what was happening is is I guess when they
- 4:55Speaker 2: put the vegetables in there, they didn't do something right.
- 4:58Speaker 2: And the veggies are like fermenting the bottle and creating
- 5:00Speaker 2: pressure and and when you would open the bottle, it
- 5:04Speaker 2: would literally gush out of there. It was wild. So
- 5:08Speaker 2: we also, we twenty years ago had a Phillips file one.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think that might have been done in t Flats.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We have our pictures on it. And I still have
- 5:18Speaker 2: that bottle sealed up. Oh really, although the color of it,
- 5:21Speaker 2: I don't think it's it's it's darkened a bit, I
- 5:25Speaker 2: would say over the past two decades. Yeah, I don't
- 5:27Speaker 2: know if I would try that, buddy. I just keep
- 5:29Speaker 2: that for nostalgia, that's all I do. I don't forget
- 5:31Speaker 2: you never opened that thing. Yeah, it started off ro
- 5:34Speaker 2: High ended up Chipotle. Yeah, that was a pretty good
- 5:38Speaker 2: food joke. I'm proud of myself, all right. Four O
- 5:40Speaker 2: seven nine four one text us at seven to seven
- 5:44Speaker 2: zero three one start right off, rip I when and
- 5:46Speaker 2: ask you something, because I think you would be more
- 5:48Speaker 2: apt to this than anybody here on the show.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Have you seen online this this guy Chudged the Builder, right, Bud?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Have you seen this guy Chudd the Builder. I don't
- 5:56Speaker 2: know about Chudd the Builder. You don't know about Chudded
- 5:58Speaker 2: the Builder.
- 5:59Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm more of a face guy. That's fine.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Have you heard of Chudd the Builder? And Jack? You
- 6:04Speaker 3: haven't either?
- 6:05Speaker 2: Nope, know Bob the Building. It's it's interesting and I
- 6:07Speaker 2: thought one of you guys would know about it. That's
- 6:09Speaker 2: what reason why I brought it up. It's this white
- 6:10Speaker 2: guy and he walks around, has got this dopey kind
- 6:13Speaker 2: of mustache, is real kind of old uh old time
- 6:17Speaker 2: with the curly what's the old boxers ago? What's that called?
- 6:20Speaker 2: That old style of boxing? What's that called? Like Victorian queen,
- 6:25Speaker 2: that's it. It's queen something boxing, Yeah, and Queensberry. I
- 6:30Speaker 2: think that's what it is. Right where you have what
- 6:32Speaker 2: looks to be a bathing suit, and then you have
- 6:34Speaker 2: your hair slick back like uh, like Freddie Mercury, and
- 6:37Speaker 2: then you have the whole mustache thing. And his whole
- 6:39Speaker 2: bit is is he goes around and he tries to
- 6:42Speaker 2: get black people to do something to him by calling
- 6:46Speaker 2: them the in word and saying other stuff like this.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I thought for sure you guys would have seen him. Sorry,
- 6:51Speaker 2: this is Sud calls himself Chudd the Builder. Look him
- 6:55Speaker 2: up online and put him up there. Yeah, Chud the Builder.
- 6:57Speaker 5: Uh.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I thought for sure you would have seen it. It's
- 6:59Speaker 2: like everywhere right now. But he got deplatform today and uh,
- 7:04Speaker 2: it's so funny. Why why Well, it was it's kick.
- 7:07Speaker 2: They completely deplatformed him. And I thought for sure you
- 7:10Speaker 2: guys would have seen that. That's why I should have
- 7:11Speaker 2: asked beforehand.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:13Speaker 2: But this guy just walked around trying to get people
- 7:15Speaker 2: to swing on him. And I wanted to ask, like,
- 7:17Speaker 2: so let me ask a quick question. And this is
- 7:20Speaker 2: a little bit of a sensitive question, but I have
- 7:22Speaker 2: to ask if I use the in word, is that
- 7:25Speaker 2: is that hate language?
- 7:27Speaker 6: Right?
- 7:27Speaker 3: That's hate speech?
- 7:27Speaker 7: Is it not?
- 7:29Speaker 5: Uh?
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's always in the eye of the beholder.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I don't want to speak for an entire community, but yeah, yeah, okay,
- 7:36Speaker 2: so we go ahead. Yeah, I would just say some
- 7:39Speaker 2: most people are not gonna be okay with that.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 2: And the thing is is, like he does it, and
- 7:44Speaker 2: nobody's busting him for just saying it, because he says
- 7:46Speaker 2: it to people.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Matter of fact.
- 7:47Speaker 2: One of the most famous interactions that he has is
- 7:51Speaker 2: he goes up to this one guy who's like a
- 7:52Speaker 2: bouncer at a bar and he says something. The guy comes.
- 7:56Speaker 2: The guy comes up to the chud guy and says,
- 7:58Speaker 2: you got to step back. He goes, well, I'm on
- 8:00Speaker 2: a public easeman, I can stay here whatever. So the
- 8:02Speaker 2: guy goes. The black guy goes back to his area
- 8:05Speaker 2: by the door of the club, and then the guy
- 8:07Speaker 2: turns around and you know, puts himself in a selfie
- 8:09Speaker 2: so you can see.
- 8:09Speaker 3: The guy goes.
- 8:10Speaker 2: He goes, don't be stupid, man, don't don't chimp out
- 8:12Speaker 2: on me. Don't be chimping out on me, right, calling
- 8:15Speaker 2: him a chimp, like calling him a monkey. And then
- 8:17Speaker 2: as he's walking away, he says, you can't go do nothing,
- 8:19Speaker 2: and then calls him a dumb in right as he's
- 8:22Speaker 2: walking off right. And then of course a lot of
- 8:24Speaker 2: people are reacting to this online and saying, you know
- 8:27Speaker 2: a lot of dudes are like, man, if this guy
- 8:29Speaker 2: comes to my neighborhood, I don't care what the deal
- 8:31Speaker 2: is and some of the times, I guess he's got
- 8:33Speaker 2: a gun on.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Him and he does this.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And the one thing I couldn't understand is is somebody,
- 8:37Speaker 2: a couple of people on line were saying, he that's
- 8:39Speaker 2: hate speech, Like if he calls a black guy the inWORD,
- 8:42Speaker 2: that is hate speech. If he calls a black guy
- 8:44Speaker 2: a chimp, a monkey, whatever the case may be, that's
- 8:47Speaker 2: hate speech. And I and then but nobody's done anything
- 8:50Speaker 2: to him. He's just been deep platformed. I mean, that's
- 8:52Speaker 2: that's bad enough, because I guess he was making money
- 8:54Speaker 2: off this in some way, shape or form. Yeah, But
- 8:56Speaker 2: I mean, are you gonna be shocked when and if
- 8:58Speaker 2: something does happen to him? No, I mean, nobody's gonna
- 9:01Speaker 2: be shocked because of that. But the question I wanted
- 9:03Speaker 2: to ask is I actually did think that was hate speech.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I didn't know that you could really say that or
- 9:08Speaker 2: call somebody that anymore without some kind of repercussions, like legally.
- 9:12Speaker 2: But I guess you can't.
- 9:13Speaker 8: No.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I mean, but because the word's used by communities all
- 9:15Speaker 3: the time.
- 9:16Speaker 2: It would take it would take probably one of those
- 9:18Speaker 2: people to just step out it and just step at it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Go ahead, it and hire a lawyer and be a guy.
- 9:23Speaker 2: This is all over the internet. They might have a
- 9:26Speaker 2: case for some sort of hate crime, because that, like
- 9:29Speaker 2: in a nutshell, is kind of like the whole reason
- 9:32Speaker 2: why the internet is so can be very toxic, because
- 9:36Speaker 2: that behavior is being rewarded. He is he is well,
- 9:40Speaker 2: I mean, you know, they did kick him off the platform,
- 9:41Speaker 2: but he is dead trying to get somebody to engage him.
- 9:44Speaker 2: There is zero question that's his goal. He's trying to
- 9:48Speaker 2: get somebody to engage him, and he's done it to
- 9:50Speaker 2: a number of people. The most famous one is the
- 9:52Speaker 2: one I just saw that. The one that's the most
- 9:54Speaker 2: views is when he tells the guy to stop chipping
- 9:56Speaker 2: out and then calls him the inward as he's walking away.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah. So, and then your question is is.
- 10:01Speaker 2: That And I thought for me, I thought because a
- 10:04Speaker 2: lot of people online were commenting about it, saying, well,
- 10:07Speaker 2: that's hate speech. Why isn't somebody doing anything about it?
- 10:09Speaker 2: And nobody is doing anything about it. He hasn't been arrested,
- 10:11Speaker 2: nobody's press charge or anything like that. Well, he's just
- 10:14Speaker 2: kind of continuing forward. I mean, he did lose his platform.
- 10:17Speaker 2: That is doing something and it's probably the most effective
- 10:20Speaker 2: thing to people who are trying to gain an audience,
- 10:24Speaker 2: to build an audience on a platform when you take
- 10:27Speaker 2: that away from them, and that's just it take as
- 10:29Speaker 2: a streaming platform. Correct, Yes, yeah, so I guess they
- 10:33Speaker 2: threw him off. I mean, I don't know if he
- 10:34Speaker 2: has I don't know if he has platforms elsewhere. And
- 10:37Speaker 2: I assume they'd follow a suit like Twitter would probably
- 10:39Speaker 2: follow suit or Extra.
- 10:41Speaker 3: There's a lot lot I think Acxi's probably okay, yeah, maybe.
- 10:45Speaker 2: A lot of a lot of worlds and parts of
- 10:47Speaker 2: the Internet that are now being celebrated with just a
- 10:50Speaker 2: complete total lack of integrity or ethics or anything. And
- 10:55Speaker 2: what I needed to come to grips with that, although
- 10:58Speaker 2: had me kind of sad some day than not, is
- 11:01Speaker 2: that it doesn't matter in the sense of what matters
- 11:06Speaker 2: is his numbers and how many people are watching, because
- 11:10Speaker 2: there's no more like I don't know, there's no more
- 11:13Speaker 2: standard of like no, you can't do that, or else
- 11:17Speaker 2: the sponsorships will be pulled. He that's the only reason, though,
- 11:19Speaker 2: You're right, that's the only reason the sponsor would have
- 11:21Speaker 2: to go, Hey, if you don't get this guy chut
- 11:22Speaker 2: off there. I'm pulling all my support for your platform.
- 11:25Speaker 2: That's what has to happen. But even then the damage
- 11:28Speaker 2: is done. Oh no, he got banned off of kick
- 11:31Speaker 2: what's that more headlines? Yeah yeah, and then it just
- 11:34Speaker 2: spins off into this big ball of just the absolute worst. Now,
- 11:39Speaker 2: the weird thing is after this happened, the Internet went
- 11:42Speaker 2: deep dive on his ass and found him dressed up
- 11:44Speaker 2: like a fairy when he was young. Yeah, so very
- 11:46Speaker 2: interesting already, right, I mean literally dressed up like a
- 11:49Speaker 2: faery like fairy like headband, short hair, fat leotard to
- 11:53Speaker 2: the whole thing. But yeah, treating people poorly in front
- 11:56Speaker 2: of a camera that it is being streamed is hard
- 11:59Speaker 2: not to look away from. And it is being profited,

- 13:28Speaker 3: It's in my contracted here's the news on the Jim
- 13:32Speaker 3: Colmer Show.
- 13:33Speaker 9: And JCS news is brought to you by that mortgage Guy. Don,
- 13:36Speaker 9: a senior advisor to the World Health Organization, says the
- 13:39Speaker 9: hunt of virus outbreak on a cruise ship in the
- 13:42Speaker 9: Atlantic has never happened before. FIU infectious disease expert doctor
- 13:47Speaker 9: Eileen Marty says the problem is that many exposed passengers
- 13:50Speaker 9: disembarked and may be spreading the virus in at least
- 13:53Speaker 9: five countries, including the US.
- 13:56Speaker 11: I do not think that we're going to have to
- 14:00Speaker 11: have anywhere near the kinds of concerns or worried as
- 14:03Speaker 11: we did a few years ago with COVID nineteen. It's
- 14:07Speaker 11: a very different virus. It spreads differently.
- 14:10Speaker 9: Doctor Marty says that who is monitoring passengers and those
- 14:13Speaker 9: they come in contact with for symptoms of the haunted virus.
- 14:16Speaker 9: She says it starts with flu symptoms and results in
- 14:19Speaker 9: the lungs filling with fluid. So far, at least three
- 14:21Speaker 9: people have died and three others are sick, but we're
- 14:25Speaker 9: hearing of new cases. Thankfully, it doesn't spread as easily
- 14:28Speaker 9: as COVID all right, the Alligator Alcatraz migrant detention facility
- 14:33Speaker 9: in South Florida could be closing. According to a report
- 14:36Speaker 9: from The New York Times, Florida and the Trump administration
- 14:39Speaker 9: are in talks to shut down the facility. The talks
- 14:41Speaker 9: reportedly center on the high costs of operating the detention center.
- 14:46Speaker 9: The outlet also reported that private contractors have been struggling
- 14:50Speaker 9: with costs connected with the site. Alligator Alcatraz was opened
- 14:54Speaker 9: last summer with the intent of helping the Trump administration's
- 14:57Speaker 9: immigration enforcement efforts. According to data from ICE, the center
- 15:01Speaker 9: in the middle of the Florida Everglades held over one
- 15:04Speaker 9: thousand detainees as of last month.
- 15:06Speaker 2: If somebody had only told them six hundred million dollars,
- 15:10Speaker 2: we have yet to be reimbursed by the federal government,
- 15:12Speaker 2: after we were promised that was going.
- 15:13Speaker 9: To happen, and now we're being told, no, we're not
- 15:15Speaker 9: getting that, we're not giving you that money.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Well, it's not the first time I heard, Hey, no
- 15:19Speaker 2: taxpayer money is used on this, and then we find out, hey,
- 15:22Speaker 2: we want taxpayer money to be used.
- 15:24Speaker 9: A billion or so. All right, there is a heightened
- 15:26Speaker 9: risk of fire today in central Florida. A red flag
- 15:29Speaker 9: warning is in effect until eight o'clock for Orange, Seminole, Ostiola, Lake, Vlusha,
- 15:33Speaker 9: and Bervarc Counties. The National Weather Service issued the warning
- 15:37Speaker 9: due to gusty winds and low relative humidity. Wins could
- 15:40Speaker 9: reach twenty five miles an hour and humidity could be
- 15:43Speaker 9: as low as twenty seven percent. The NWUS warns any
- 15:47Speaker 9: fires that develop will likely spread rapidly and outdoor burning
- 15:50Speaker 9: is not recommended. And if you're in Polk County, the
- 15:53Speaker 9: burn ban is back in effect, and that's due to
- 15:56Speaker 9: the ongoing drought conditions. County officials say drag ground elevated
- 16:00Speaker 9: wildfire risk prompted the band, which took effect again on Wednesday.
- 16:04Speaker 9: It applies to unincorporated areas and more than a dozen cities,
- 16:08Speaker 9: including Lakeland, winter Haven, Bartow, Haynes City. The band prohibits campfires,
- 16:13Speaker 9: yard debris burning, and fire works, with violators facing fines
- 16:16Speaker 9: or jail time.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Yeah. I think we're supposed to bet some rain in
- 16:18Speaker 3: the next couple days though, right, yeah we are, And
- 16:21Speaker 3: but until then be afraid to fort holding to God.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Can they tell you like even barbecue girls, Oh yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 3: even barbecue grills.
- 16:29Speaker 9: You if you're having car trouble and you pull over
- 16:31Speaker 9: to the side of the road, turn your vehicle off,
- 16:34Speaker 9: because even the exhaust from your tailpipe could be enough
- 16:37Speaker 9: to ignite really dry grass that's on the side of
- 16:39Speaker 9: the road. Yeah, and definitely don't throw your cigarette butts
- 16:43Speaker 9: out the window, but you shouldn't be doing that anyway.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Get them bib.
- 16:45Speaker 9: Florida is expected to ease into the rainy season May
- 16:48Speaker 9: fifteenth through October fifteenth due to developing El Nino. That's
- 16:52Speaker 9: according to today's annual report. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
- 16:58Speaker 9: meteorologist Robert Muleta says this we'll see below normal rainfall
- 17:03Speaker 9: and above normal temperatures.
- 17:05Speaker 10: We're going to see the drought lingering probably into June,
- 17:09Speaker 10: so leaning towards near to below normal precipitation. Again, we're
- 17:13Speaker 10: talking about this five month rainy season period here.
- 17:15Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 9: So, he says July will be the hottest time of
- 17:18Speaker 9: the year and possibly driest with episodes of Saharan dust,
- 17:22Speaker 9: which delays tropical activity.
- 17:24Speaker 13: He also says sea.
- 17:25Speaker 9: Surface temperatures warmer than normal in the Atlantic and the Gulf.
- 17:29Speaker 9: He also says the first six weeks in June into
- 17:31Speaker 9: early July will be the stormiest. NOAHS Hurricane outlook will
- 17:35Speaker 9: be released in two weeks.
- 17:37Speaker 2: So I did read today though that they're expecting a
- 17:38Speaker 2: pretty strong al Nino this year, which could make a
- 17:41Speaker 2: really wet winter.
- 17:42Speaker 9: Which would be nice good because you know, again, a
- 17:45Speaker 9: lot of officials, emergency management officials in Florida are saying,
- 17:48Speaker 9: we can't keep relying on the you know, this hurricane
- 17:51Speaker 9: season to replenish our water supplies. And yet that's exactly
- 17:55Speaker 9: what we're having to do, all right. A Saint Petersburg
- 17:57Speaker 9: man convicted in a high profile and aimal cruelty case,
- 18:01Speaker 9: so high profile that it led to new laws here
- 18:03Speaker 9: in Florida, is back behind bars following a court ruling
- 18:07Speaker 9: and appeals court upheld sixty six year old Domingo Rodriguez's conviction,
- 18:11Speaker 9: clearing the way for a Penela's County judge to order
- 18:14Speaker 9: him back into custody to finish his fourteenth month sentence.
- 18:17Speaker 9: The case drew widespread attention after prosecutors say Rodriguez killed
- 18:21Speaker 9: his newly adopted dog, Dexter, and then dunk the remains
- 18:24Speaker 9: at Fort de Soto Park. Public outrage over that case
- 18:27Speaker 9: helped lead the passage of Florida's Dexter's Law, which enhances
- 18:31Speaker 9: penalties for animal abuse, and that's the case that created
- 18:34Speaker 9: our state wide offender registry.
- 18:36Speaker 3: That's awesome, it is.
- 18:37Speaker 9: I mean, there's still some bugs that need to be
- 18:39Speaker 9: worked out in the registry, but at least we have
- 18:41Speaker 9: the registry, all right. Rapper Kodak Black, the Grimlin. He
- 18:46Speaker 9: sure likes the Gray Bar hotel.
- 18:48Speaker 3: He does.
- 18:49Speaker 9: Man Hey, he's back in legal trouble after being arrested
- 18:52Speaker 9: on a drug trafficking charge with the Florida Rapper, whose
- 18:54Speaker 9: real name is Bill Capri, was booked into the Orange
- 18:57Speaker 9: County Jail on Wednesday. According to a page affidavit, the
- 19:01Speaker 9: arrest thems from an incident back in November when police
- 19:04Speaker 9: were called to defit to the vicinity of a nonprofit
- 19:07Speaker 9: for children in Orlando, where there were reports of gunfire.
- 19:11Speaker 9: Kodak Black was also arrested in twenty twenty two and
- 19:15Speaker 9: twenty twenty three on drug related charges.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 2: I mean, this guy makes some really bad decisions. Matter
- 19:20Speaker 2: of fact, I guess one of the reasons they were
- 19:22Speaker 2: able to bust him is because a lot of the
- 19:23Speaker 2: social media stuff that he put up had evidence of
- 19:27Speaker 2: what he was doing and when they found him that
- 19:29Speaker 2: evidence was in his car.
- 19:30Speaker 9: He must be speaking of the pink scissors they found
- 19:32Speaker 9: on the floorboard of either the BMW or a Lamborghini
- 19:35Speaker 9: that was parked outside of that nonprofit, and.
- 19:38Speaker 2: A gun and some jewelry. It matched up perfectly, so
- 19:40Speaker 2: they didn't have to go any farther than his own
- 19:42Speaker 2: social media. If he need to bust this dude exactly
- 19:45Speaker 2: exactly so crazy.
- 19:46Speaker 3: It's like not even a good criminal.
- 19:48Speaker 2: It's just crime is water to a magway, they get
- 19:52Speaker 2: a little stronger.
- 19:55Speaker 3: All right. A.
- 19:57Speaker 9: Meanwhile, a special event zone is in effect near Camp
- 20:00Speaker 9: Being World Stadium in Orlando ahead of the Rolling Loud festival. Man,
- 20:03Speaker 9: are we sandwiched between hundreds of thousands of people?
- 20:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 20:06Speaker 9: Welcome both Rockville and Daytona Beach and then Rolling Loud
- 20:09Speaker 9: the only US stop this year. The Orange County Sheriff's
- 20:13Speaker 9: Office says the zone runs from six tonight through eight
- 20:15Speaker 9: Monday morning to prevent unpermitted events and traffic problems. It
- 20:19Speaker 9: covers parts of Colonial Drive, John Young Parkway and Old
- 20:22Speaker 9: Winter Garden Road. Be aware if you're driving through that area.
- 20:26Speaker 9: Under state law, traffic fines are doubled in that zone,
- 20:29Speaker 9: and vehicles can be impounded for violations. You don't even
- 20:32Speaker 9: have to be attending the concert if you're in that
- 20:34Speaker 9: special zone. Playboy, Cardi, NBA, Young Boy, and Don Tolliver
- 20:39Speaker 9: will headline the three day hip hop event. Others set
- 20:42Speaker 9: to perform include SDI Kid, Chief Keef, Destroy, Lonely Too, Sisty,
- 20:46Speaker 9: Sexy Red, and Scrilla just to name a few.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And if you would like a contact high So if
- 20:53Speaker 3: your bag is short, let me give you a little
- 20:56Speaker 3: head zone. Get within one hundred yards of this joint. Ah,
- 20:59Speaker 3: you said you'll be You'll be Stone from October? Is
- 21:04Speaker 3: so this is happening in the same weekend? Oh yeah, Rockville?
- 21:07Speaker 13: Yeah, they both. I mean Rolling Loud kicks off tomorrow.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Is it too inflammatory of a question to ask, who
- 21:14Speaker 2: do you think would win in a fight?
- 21:17Speaker 3: Oh? Man, that's a great question. You got the Festival
- 21:21Speaker 3: of Rock Rock.
- 21:22Speaker 2: My money's on Rockville due to sheer number numbers of people,
- 21:27Speaker 2: two hundred thousand people.
- 21:27Speaker 3: I don't how many people are coming to Rolling Loud. Yeah.
- 21:30Speaker 9: Oh, let's just say Miami Beach is not unhappy that
- 21:33Speaker 9: Rolling Loud is not in Miami Beach this year. What's
- 21:37Speaker 9: interesting is that the Osiola County Sheriff is dealing with
- 21:40Speaker 9: kind of what Sheriff Mike Chitwood was dealing with during
- 21:42Speaker 9: spring break. So Ostiola County Sheriff is having to deal
- 21:46Speaker 9: with all of these unsanctioned house parties. So they're having
- 21:50Speaker 9: I mean, they've got like extra eighty extra Florida Highway
- 21:53Speaker 9: Patrol troopers coming into Ostila County to help them bust these,
- 21:57Speaker 9: you know, unpermitted house parties. They've got gun shot, sexual
- 22:00Speaker 9: assaults being reported, young teens drinking, two hundred kids in
- 22:04Speaker 9: a parking lot, you know, and then you're sure to
- 22:06Speaker 9: have trouble.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we have a story about Airbnb's coming up a
- 22:09Speaker 2: little bit later that kind of focuses on that as well.
- 22:11Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 9: So I would not want to be a deputy anywhere
- 22:14Speaker 9: near central Florida this weekend.
- 22:16Speaker 13: I'd be like having to roper up. Do you remember
- 22:19Speaker 13: romper room?
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah? As a kid, do you remember romper room? Yeah?
- 22:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what my wife complains about whenever we go out.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Not enough romper room in this one.
- 22:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 22:30Speaker 9: Gas prices still spiking, even though the price of oil
- 22:33Speaker 9: is going down with crude falling as much as fifteen percent.
- 22:36Speaker 3: That could help lead to stations at lower prices, maybe
- 22:39Speaker 3: ten or fifteen cents over the next five to seven days,
- 22:42Speaker 3: so long as nothing new developed.
- 22:44Speaker 9: I'm sure nothing Well, gas buddies, Patrick de Hansa's gas
- 22:48Speaker 9: is going for four dollars and fifty nine cents for
- 22:51Speaker 9: regular unleaded here in Florida, which is what I paid
- 22:54Speaker 9: last night to not even fill up my car. That
- 22:56Speaker 9: is above the national average of four to fifty five.
- 22:59Speaker 9: That's a two cents from yesterday and a quarter from
- 23:02Speaker 9: a week ago. One hundred million barrels of oil left
- 23:05Speaker 9: US sure as Wednesday, putting pressure on our supply.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Well this you're saying textures reporting rolling loud is expected
- 23:12Speaker 2: between two hundred and three hundred thousand people.
- 23:14Speaker 3: I was figuring, yeah, I mean that's and I'm also
- 23:18Speaker 3: looking at it right now virtually basically the same numbers
- 23:22Speaker 3: for rolling loud. That's a fun hypothetical squabble right there.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Are you sure? I mean, it's a fun thought.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I'm not rooting for it to happen, But like, what
- 23:35Speaker 2: what's halfway between the two de land US.
- 23:40Speaker 3: You're probably yeah, yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 9: All right, change, change could be coming to what one
- 23:46Speaker 9: Orlando resident calls the freeway of Lake Eola Neighbors and
- 23:50Speaker 9: Lake Eola Heights have been saying for years, speeding has
- 23:53Speaker 9: become a safety problem for drivers and pedestrians, So this
- 23:56Speaker 9: week the city installed cameras to study the issue. Residents
- 24:00Speaker 9: would like to see traffic calmbing devices, like a four
- 24:02Speaker 9: way stop sign, maybe some speed humps, one woman tells
- 24:06Speaker 9: New six. They just don't want anyone to get hurt,
- 24:09Speaker 9: especially their kids.
- 24:10Speaker 3: Sure yeah. Now.
- 24:11Speaker 9: Meanwhile, a massive Orlando development is announcing its contractor. Turner
- 24:15Speaker 9: Construction Company will lead the five hundred million dollar West
- 24:19Speaker 9: Court project. That entertainment complex is being built near the
- 24:22Speaker 9: Kia Center in downtown Orlando. It's going to include restaurant shops, apartments,
- 24:26Speaker 9: a hotel, and a concert venue. The selection marks a
- 24:30Speaker 9: significant step forward for the project, which was supposed to
- 24:32Speaker 9: start construction last year.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, all right.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And by the way, I think it's cool because downtown Orlando,
- 24:39Speaker 2: with the exception of Doctor Phillips, does not have like
- 24:41Speaker 2: a concert venue that isn't like upper scale like Don Point.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Well no, you got Beacham. You got some still live
- 24:49Speaker 2: music venues. Yeah, but I mean Beacham's been like played
- 24:52Speaker 2: a little bit, right. They still do live shows there, Yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 2: it still.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Holds a few people. I didn't know that.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I thought it was just a club.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Now I didn't know they still did live performance.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Oh yeah, all right.
- 25:00Speaker 9: This next story is rich for so many reasons. Rick
- 25:05Speaker 9: Scott is warning Americans not to trust government. That's what
- 25:10Speaker 9: Senator Scott said this week in Miami at a panel
- 25:13Speaker 9: discussion on cryptocurrency.
- 25:15Speaker 3: He's like, while I'm here.
- 25:16Speaker 9: Scott discussed the Clarity Act, which would ban a central
- 25:20Speaker 9: bank digital currency, because he says.
- 25:23Speaker 3: What they're going to do is they will use it
- 25:25Speaker 3: to hurt you. They'll they'll use it. They can eventually
- 25:28Speaker 3: if they want to, they just say, up, we took
- 25:30Speaker 3: all your money.
- 25:31Speaker 10: If you have any concern that they won't do that,
- 25:34Speaker 10: I mean.
- 25:34Speaker 3: They will do it.
- 25:35Speaker 9: Scott says government can't be trusted and there's no way
- 25:38Speaker 9: we should allow it to have a digital currency. He
- 25:41Speaker 9: warns they'll use it to hurt us because targeting people
- 25:43Speaker 9: is what governments do. In the meantime, while costs for
- 25:48Speaker 9: housing and healthcare explode, Scott's fighting to hold bureaucrats accountable.
- 25:52Speaker 9: His plan, no budget, no pay if Congress doesn't do
- 25:55Speaker 9: its job and fund the government on time, they don't get.
- 25:58Speaker 13: A paycheck either period.
- 26:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 13: Yeah, I can't believe I'm saying this. I agree with
- 26:03Speaker 13: him on that.
- 26:04Speaker 2: It is interesting to hear one of the richest guys
- 26:06Speaker 2: in Congress saying that, Yeah.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Isn't it. Yeah? I mean, you know, especially how he
- 26:10Speaker 3: got his money, right, three hundred four million dollar fortune
- 26:12Speaker 3: that guy has.
- 26:13Speaker 9: At the time, one of the largest medicare fraud in
- 26:15Speaker 9: the United States history, not just Florida.
- 26:17Speaker 13: Absolutely, yeah, I love hearing that from him, all right.
- 26:20Speaker 9: Universal Orlando is temporarily closing one of its original attractions.
- 26:24Speaker 9: The company plans to shut down its horror makeup show
- 26:27Speaker 9: in the Hollywood section next week. The final day will
- 26:30Speaker 9: be Monday. Universal promises it'll be improved to include a
- 26:35Speaker 9: mix of classic and modern horror properties and shockingly fun surprises.
- 26:40Speaker 9: It's expected to open by the end of the year,
- 26:42Speaker 9: but no exact date has been announced.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I mean, there's no way they're wiping it out. When
- 26:45Speaker 2: I read that story as well, I gasp, because I
- 26:47Speaker 2: will tell you, if you haven't been to that, I
- 26:49Speaker 2: think it's probably the most underrated thing that happens at
- 26:53Speaker 2: all of Universal Studios. It is one of the most fun,
- 26:56Speaker 2: entertaining shows on property, no question.
- 27:00Speaker 3: That has a very special place in my heart. Yeah.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Someone that I know, not me, definitely me used to
- 27:06Speaker 2: be like an animatronic wolf at the end.
- 27:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Yeah, oh that is so cool. I can't wait to
- 27:11Speaker 3: retool it, man, because it's really really good. I know.
- 27:14Speaker 9: Let's hope it's as fun as the one that they
- 27:15Speaker 9: have right now. All right, Uh, Victoria's Secret, there's a
- 27:20Speaker 9: name you haven't heard from.
- 27:21Speaker 3: I knew Jack.
- 27:22Speaker 13: When I pulled this story and put it in the news.
- 27:24Speaker 9: I thought maybe I should just hey, Jack, I've got
- 27:26Speaker 9: a story for you. Victoria's Secret is officially landing at
- 27:32Speaker 9: Dade Land Mall in Miami for a two day open
- 27:35Speaker 9: casting call that is sure to draw quite the crowd.
- 27:38Speaker 9: I'm just saying, starting at eleven am on May twenty
- 27:42Speaker 9: first and twenty second.
- 27:44Speaker 3: As a young man, yeah, when that is an old man.
- 27:48Speaker 2: When that catalog would come in the mail, it was
- 27:51Speaker 2: just like a nice surprise.
- 27:52Speaker 11: Ye.
- 27:54Speaker 9: With the wife going damn it, I can't find catalog anyway,
- 27:57Speaker 9: it's in the bathroom again.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Just a positive the bank and move forward.
- 28:01Speaker 9: So starting at eleven am on May twenty first and
- 28:04Speaker 9: twenty second. Aspiring models are lining up for a shot
- 28:07Speaker 9: at the twenty twenty six fashion show. And for those
- 28:10Speaker 9: who do not know, this isn't just a walk it
- 28:13Speaker 9: is truly a career changer. The winner will walk away
- 28:16Speaker 9: with an exclusive contract from IMG Models that's the same
- 28:19Speaker 9: agency behind stars like Gigi Hadid. Applicants must be eighteen
- 28:25Speaker 9: years or older and ready to work in the US.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That's right, you too can be part of the legacy
- 28:31Speaker 2: of Les Wexner. Good good, good history right there, don't
- 28:36Speaker 2: look it up. And by the way, if you ever
- 28:38Speaker 2: want to meet a couple pervy thirty eight year olds
- 28:40Speaker 2: and cargo shorts that never take their hands out of
- 28:42Speaker 2: their pockets going down ew Yeah, who was the perfect word?
- 28:47Speaker 3: All right?
- 28:48Speaker 9: Americans are expected to spend how much money this Mother's Day?
- 28:52Speaker 13: This would be total.
- 28:53Speaker 9: So Americans collectively are expected to spend this amount of
- 28:57Speaker 9: money on Mother's Day.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Two and a half billion. Okay, I don't know why
- 29:02Speaker 3: you said.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That's so funny to me. I will say one point
- 29:07Speaker 2: one billion.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Ooh, are you to split them? Jackson?
- 29:10Speaker 2: Now, I'm going for the over and I'll even give
- 29:13Speaker 2: you a little wiggle room, I'll say three billion.
- 29:15Speaker 9: How about thirty eight? No, that's not thirty eight, that's
- 29:19Speaker 9: not a thing. Billion dollars this Mother's Day.
- 29:22Speaker 3: It's almost every state, almost.
- 29:24Speaker 9: I mean the National Retail Federation says that comes out
- 29:27Speaker 9: to two hundred and eighty four dollars a person, and
- 29:31Speaker 9: it would beat the previous record sent in twenty twenty three.
- 29:35Speaker 9: What Mother's Day spending tends to weather times of economic
- 29:38Speaker 9: uncertainty and we all know why, according to the report,
- 29:43Speaker 9: because people want to make sure mom knows she's appreciated.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I would agree, it's got to be second right in
- 29:48Speaker 2: the list, other than Christmas. It's got to be the
- 29:49Speaker 2: second most expensive. I mean, maybe even more than Valentine's Day.
- 29:52Speaker 9: Oh, I would assume more expensive than Valentine's Day, and
- 29:55Speaker 9: I think collectively, maybe even more than the holidays, because
- 29:58Speaker 9: I don't know anyone who spends two hundred and eighty
- 30:01Speaker 9: four dollars a person.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, what yeah? Yeah, no, dude, trust me
- 30:04Speaker 2: what I tell you. My kids are calling me saying, hey,
- 30:06Speaker 2: what does mom want to shoot with this? I'm like, God,
- 30:08Speaker 2: what are you doing? How many moms do you have
- 30:13Speaker 2: to eighty four.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I'm working on I'm working my way up
- 30:18Speaker 3: to that.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I bet I bet this. Here's what
- 30:23Speaker 2: I bet. I bet that's the number one day of
- 30:26Speaker 2: the year for the sale of.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Alcohol. That says something, right, massages.
- 30:34Speaker 2: I bet they sell more massage packages on Mother's Day
- 30:38Speaker 2: than any other day of the year. See, and I
- 30:41Speaker 2: think you kind of besmirched that as like a throwaway gift.
- 30:44Speaker 2: I said it was an easy gift, an easy gift. Yeah,
- 30:47Speaker 2: but I think it's a highly appreciated gift.
- 30:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I didn't say it wasn't that. I just know it's
- 30:52Speaker 2: an easy purchase. If you out there and you need
- 30:54Speaker 2: a mom's a gift. Moms love massages.
- 30:58Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a right.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I mean, it's epsore layups and they count for two
- 31:02Speaker 2: points the same way.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Tell them exactly right. I didn't say it what was bad.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I was saying, it's an easy purchase. It's like it's
- 31:08Speaker 3: like a it's like a cheat code.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Tell this guy with his nasally voice, hell's going on
- 31:14Speaker 2: here today?
- 31:15Speaker 3: Listen to that guy throwing darts hell And that concludes
- 31:20Speaker 3: your JCS news.

- 31:37Speaker 2: it away for your chance in a thousand bucks.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Makeing a second.
- 31:39Speaker 12: Had a question one of your news stories reminded me,
- 31:43Speaker 12: this is from Saint Cloud. So places like Victoria's Secret
- 31:48Speaker 12: and candle shops the women get free stuff from there,
- 31:53Speaker 12: but men doesn't get any free stuff from places like
- 31:56Speaker 12: Home Deep or Ace Hardware. Why is that?
- 31:59Speaker 3: It's a what about ladies night? I mean, man, I
- 32:08Speaker 3: can point it out on a on a map if
- 32:10Speaker 3: you want to see it, I can show you. I
- 32:13Speaker 3: can't say it. All right.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Jim Culbert Show. We're all radio
- 32:16Speaker 2: one oh four point one. Jim, there's death. Hello, Jack
- 32:19Speaker 2: is ear cross with us today?
- 32:21Speaker 3: Hey dude, have you put any thought into what you are?
- 32:25Speaker 3: Where is by the way, is Olivia coming with you
- 32:27Speaker 3: on the yachtley Cruise? I believe?
- 32:29Speaker 11: So?
- 32:29Speaker 2: Okay, have you guys? As long as we bring drama me,
- 32:33Speaker 2: that's fine. I mean it's a it's a riverboat, dude,
- 32:35Speaker 2: Like it's a riverboat. I mean it's like being in
- 32:37Speaker 2: your truck. Some people are very susceptible to motion. Sickness
- 32:41Speaker 2: like you when I was a kid, not as much anymore.
- 32:45Speaker 8: Uh.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Like spinning around is bad for me, But like I
- 32:47Speaker 2: don't get bothered on cruise ships or anything like that anymore.
- 32:50Speaker 2: And if roller coaster's sitting down like that big one,
- 32:53Speaker 2: uh uh Circus World for the longest time, that hurricane thing.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I could ride that all day long. I could do
- 32:57Speaker 2: the up and down thing. I just can't go in circles. God,
- 33:00Speaker 2: can you do the Mummy?
- 33:01Speaker 3: I can do the Mummy. I can't. I can spend you.
- 33:04Speaker 2: But it's just enough though I can. I get mad
- 33:06Speaker 2: about it, Don't get me wrong. I mean, like, if
- 33:08Speaker 2: I get off of it, I'm pissed off, anger me.
- 33:11Speaker 2: But it doesn't make me sick, it does. It just
- 33:14Speaker 2: spends me.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Just can I tell you.
- 33:16Speaker 2: Something that really is weird. I'll give you the example.
- 33:18Speaker 2: Like the Mummy roller coaster part itself doesn't bother me.
- 33:21Speaker 2: It's the spinning. It's the same thing with the men
- 33:23Speaker 2: in black one. Like I have to do that ballerina thing.
- 33:26Speaker 2: You know how when ballerinas do spins, how they look forward,
- 33:29Speaker 2: they do their body and then they'll yank their head
- 33:30Speaker 2: around real quick.
- 33:31Speaker 3: If you guess that.
- 33:32Speaker 2: That's what I have to do on The Men in
- 33:33Speaker 2: Black Ride? So have you've ever seen video of me
- 33:35Speaker 2: writing The Men in Black Ride? I'm the old guy
- 33:37Speaker 2: doing the ballerina move. Yeah, you're pure wedding yeah yeah, whatever.
- 33:40Speaker 14: That is.
- 33:40Speaker 9: Its finding a spot to focus on so that as
- 33:43Speaker 9: you're spinning, you're just focusing on that one.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Spot, coming back right to that spot. That's how I
- 33:46Speaker 3: do that.
- 33:47Speaker 2: And it spends one time too many on the Men
- 33:49Speaker 2: in Black If it didn't spend that last time, it wouldn't.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Bother me at all. But have you guys thought about
- 33:54Speaker 3: what you're dressing up?
- 33:54Speaker 12: Ass?
- 33:54Speaker 3: How you put any thought at all into it? I
- 33:56Speaker 3: have not? No, Yeah, a pirate no, no, no, it's yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 3: it's no. It's princess and pirates and you gotta be one.
- 34:03Speaker 3: It's a yacht rock thing, dude.
- 34:04Speaker 2: So yeah, something like for me the seventies or eighties,
- 34:07Speaker 2: you know, some character or something like that.
- 34:09Speaker 3: The eighties had pirates too, they were the eighteen eighties,
- 34:12Speaker 3: but the.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Yacht rock I am the yacht rock A pirate down Yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 2: So that felt right, not too bad?
- 34:21Speaker 3: I like it? Yeah, Yeah, in my bag leg needs
- 34:24Speaker 3: to go through something.
- 34:25Speaker 2: By the way, you're doing comedy, so consider whatever you're
- 34:28Speaker 2: doing as a pirate. There you go, Oh my god,
- 34:31Speaker 2: please the yacht rock pirate comedian. Yeah yeah, who brought
- 34:34Speaker 2: is all Scotty wag? They buy it in Chaine.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Please please bring that for sure.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Makes some noise, folks, you're ready for twenty Hey the
- 34:43Speaker 2: boat's already sold out, so you're getting twenty minutes of that.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, good Look now people are getting refunds.
- 34:49Speaker 3: I can feel it now. I'm looking forward to it.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I like boats. Oh this thing is crazy. What do
- 34:56Speaker 3: you see it?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Jack and I are going on the lunch cruise in
- 34:59Speaker 2: a couple of weeks kind of figure out what's going
- 35:01Speaker 2: on with it, you know, trying to lay out what
- 35:02Speaker 2: we're gonna do and how we're gonna set things up.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Let's invite you know who, Steve, the misses can come
- 35:07Speaker 3: out on the Saturday. Who's you know who? The missus?
- 35:10Speaker 3: Oh this one the one pretending not to pay attention? Yeah, yea, yeah, yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 3: she ain't going out. She ain't going out so away, Like,
- 35:20Speaker 3: who goes on boats on Saturday when there's a couch
- 35:24Speaker 3: and pajamas? How could that possibly happen.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Meanwhile, cut to a week and though when she said
- 35:30Speaker 2: the biggest misconception about her is that people think she
- 35:32Speaker 2: doesn't like to leave her out. Well that one weekend
- 35:35Speaker 2: she left, like when you got married, you're out all
- 35:39Speaker 2: week and long. Oh yeah, yeah, you were out there
- 35:41Speaker 2: all week and long.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Party down, crazy girl, Yeah exactly. Yeah.
- 35:45Speaker 2: One of the most memorable I Got You Dead, one
- 35:48Speaker 2: of the most memorable sets that I've ever had, And
- 35:51Speaker 2: people keep bringing it up. There's some listeners that were there,
- 35:54Speaker 2: But I did that, damn the gambling cruise and it.
- 35:57Speaker 3: Was awesome, man, that one.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I remember going out when one of the employees like
- 36:03Speaker 2: looked at the water and they went, who yeah, this
- 36:05Speaker 2: one's gonna be interesting. Yeah yeah, And I'm like, you
- 36:08Speaker 2: work here, what are you talking about? They go on
- 36:10Speaker 2: the ocean. The gambling cruise goes out in the ocean.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Oh that's a machine altogether. I've been on that thing too.
- 36:16Speaker 2: That is that's an interesting thing. An hour and a
- 36:18Speaker 2: half in when you bust all your cash. Our cruise
- 36:20Speaker 2: is a sunset river cruise. Ye, yes, much calmer water.
- 36:24Speaker 2: I mean you are only I mean the entire time
- 36:26Speaker 2: we're on the water. You're no more than like maybe
- 36:28Speaker 2: fifty sixty feet from the shore, you know, the gator
- 36:32Speaker 2: ridden shore. Yeah, but that gambling cruise I've I've been
- 36:35Speaker 2: on it multiple times, have had a blast every time.
- 36:38Speaker 2: But one time, I I mean, I'm white right now,
- 36:42Speaker 2: I didn't know how white I could actually get. Oh
- 36:44Speaker 2: you get sick, yeah, dude. And I was telling jokes
- 36:48Speaker 2: as I was like, we were slam. It was wild.
- 36:51Speaker 12: Man.
- 36:51Speaker 2: That was the most memorable set of stand up comedy,
- 36:54Speaker 2: most infamous. I will tell you, man, I've been on
- 36:56Speaker 2: a cruise ship one time that got into a really
- 36:58Speaker 2: gnarly storm and it's kind of scary. Matter of fact,
- 37:03Speaker 2: the last one we were on before this one, there
- 37:06Speaker 2: was one day where we were going it was our
- 37:08Speaker 2: day at sea, one of the days at sea, and
- 37:10Speaker 2: we're sitting at this coffee shop right and it's got
- 37:13Speaker 2: the windows there and it's my favorite spot on the ship,
- 37:16Speaker 2: and we're having a cappuccino. We're kind of on our phones,
- 37:18Speaker 2: kind of hanging out talking a little bit, and man,
- 37:20Speaker 2: next thing you know, this like rogue wave hit the
- 37:22Speaker 2: side of the ship and then all you saw was
- 37:24Speaker 2: water and we're fourth floor. Oh, we're the fourth we're
- 37:28Speaker 2: on the fourth level, so that thing had to be
- 37:30Speaker 2: like it was like twenty feet when it hit the
- 37:32Speaker 2: side and it went, I mean it hit it slammed
- 37:35Speaker 2: into it.
- 37:36Speaker 3: It was crazy.
- 37:37Speaker 9: Those are to me some of the most terrifying videos
- 37:40Speaker 9: on social media is when the rogue waves hit the
- 37:43Speaker 9: cruise ships and you see the tables and the chairs
- 37:46Speaker 9: and the people just sliding and there's no control over anything.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Did you see the one where they went into a
- 37:50Speaker 2: tropical storm and people were diving for safety on the
- 37:54Speaker 2: deck because it was picking up the pool furniture and
- 37:57Speaker 2: throwing it like magneto. Like it was crazy. It was
- 38:01Speaker 2: like it looked fake, but it was just basically it
- 38:03Speaker 2: was just swirling. And by the way, those things are
- 38:06Speaker 2: built not to leave the deck, so they're relatively heavy,
- 38:09Speaker 2: even they're all resin so they don't rust, and they're
- 38:11Speaker 2: pretty heavy because they don't want any wind blowing them around.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Thought of that, they don't want this ship.
- 38:16Speaker 2: They don't want them shifting around when the boat tilts,
- 38:18Speaker 2: because the boats are gonna tilt. You're in the ocean.
- 38:20Speaker 2: It's unpredictable, right, But man, I saw those things. You
- 38:23Speaker 2: can see the video on YouTube. It's picking those things
- 38:25Speaker 2: up and throwing them across the deck and people are
- 38:28Speaker 2: barely getting missed.
- 38:29Speaker 3: It's crazy. I'm so emotional you used Magneto. Correct, so
- 38:35Speaker 3: happy my man implemented an X men Yeah influence four
- 38:43Speaker 3: seven nine four one text us at seven seven zero
- 38:48Speaker 3: three one. Got a fresh keyword for you now and
- 38:49Speaker 3: a question for you guys. Want to get back?
- 39:00Speaker 10: Hey, Ross like you.
- 39:02Speaker 15: I was absolutely blown away by Jimmy's absolute Christine reference
- 39:06Speaker 15: to Magneto.
- 39:08Speaker 16: Just another example why this is the greatest show out there.
- 39:11Speaker 3: You guys have a great day. Love you missed ever.
- 39:14Speaker 7: Hey, Jim and crew, I gotta tell you, this is
- 39:17Speaker 7: Frank Frum up here in Illinois. I was so proud
- 39:20Speaker 7: of Jim he actually did use the Magneto reference in
- 39:24Speaker 7: proper context.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Ross. I feel you.
- 39:28Speaker 7: I keep out huge way to go, Jim.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Thank you up the good word. Thank you.
- 39:37Speaker 2: The one problem I did have though, is I said
- 39:39Speaker 2: the chairs were all resin. That means no metal.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Four oh seven nine six four one text dots seven

- 39:52Speaker 3: need to send over to Real Radio NFM for your
- 39:55Speaker 3: chance at one thousand dollars bills? Is the word?
- 39:57Speaker 2: Go get that cash out? A winner yesterday at six
- 40:00Speaker 2: o'clock right here on the Jim Kolber Show, the news
- 40:01Speaker 2: Chunky had one earlier. The gates are open, Go get
- 40:04Speaker 2: the money. Bills is the word, Jim, there's deb hell Jack, Yeah,
- 40:08Speaker 2: and Ross believe in yourself. Got a quick question for
- 40:11Speaker 2: you guys. Good, Then I have one for you. Yeah, sure,
- 40:14Speaker 2: fire away you go first, all right? You ever drive
- 40:16Speaker 2: by a gas station and the price is four fifty nine,
- 40:21Speaker 2: even when it's three fifty nine, and you expect the
- 40:24Speaker 2: next like four fifty nine. I expect the next number
- 40:27Speaker 2: to be five zero zero, like it's a clock.
- 40:31Speaker 15: Right.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Oh no, no, I do not get that.
- 40:34Speaker 2: That never occurred to that. That's interesting. No, no, no, no,
- 40:36Speaker 2: trust me. No, okay, very good. Can I also ask one?
- 40:39Speaker 3: Yeah, sure, question. This is a question segment. All right,
- 40:43Speaker 3: all right, what do you got? Do you ever wash
- 40:45Speaker 3: your dog?
- 40:47Speaker 2: And then whenever you wash your dog, that's when you
- 40:50Speaker 2: realize how much weight they've gained as their hair gets fluffy. No,
- 40:55Speaker 2: I don't have that. I do wash my dog. We've
- 40:57Speaker 2: talked about this before naked in the shower. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 2: So it's odd to really bring up that we have
- 41:05Speaker 2: that in common. But every time I watch my dog,
- 41:07Speaker 2: it gets fluffy and then that's the biggest the dog
- 41:10Speaker 2: looks like that's the biggest silhouette of the dog. Right,
- 41:13Speaker 2: So that's when I really acknowledged that my dog is
- 41:16Speaker 2: that really Yeah, never got that. Watched my dog this morning. Atkins.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Is there an Atkins for dogs?
- 41:23Speaker 3: Yeah? Fat?
- 41:24Speaker 7: Huh?
- 41:24Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 41:24Speaker 3: Stop feeding them? What do you feed them the other
- 41:28Speaker 3: dog's food? Oh? Really?
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's the problem. It's hard when you have
- 41:31Speaker 2: multiple pets. Yeah, it's hard to kind of you don't
- 41:35Speaker 2: know police that you know what I found though, do you?
- 41:38Speaker 2: So you have you don't have a dog anymore?
- 41:40Speaker 3: Jack? Right?
- 41:40Speaker 2: No, thanks for I forgot that. And you don't have
- 41:43Speaker 2: a cat? Right, I've never had a cat. Okay, but
- 41:45Speaker 2: dev you've had dogs and cats? Have you had them
- 41:47Speaker 2: at the same time? No, you never had a dog
- 41:49Speaker 2: and a cat at the same time.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:51Speaker 9: So I always thought I was just a dog person
- 41:53Speaker 9: until I found the kitten here at work.
- 41:56Speaker 3: So you know, we're babysitting our daughter's cat. New York cat.
- 42:00Speaker 2: It's very cool. And then we have our little dog, Sadie,
- 42:03Speaker 2: that's a Shorky which is a sheet too, in a
- 42:06Speaker 2: in a Yorki mix. So she's like eight nine ten
- 42:07Speaker 2: pounds or whatever and adorable, one of the best dogs
- 42:10Speaker 2: we've ever owned ever. But I did notice something. The
- 42:13Speaker 2: cat never tries to eat her food. And Sadie gets
- 42:17Speaker 2: good food. I mean we make her. We make her
- 42:19Speaker 2: food at home, like according to a recipe from that
- 42:22Speaker 2: that farmer's dog thing, So we make it, you know,
- 42:24Speaker 2: at the house, so I've seen it before. I just
- 42:27Speaker 2: think that the gold flakes on top are a little
- 42:29Speaker 2: too much. But the cat never tried, never goes over
- 42:32Speaker 2: to her bowl, never tries to do any of that.
- 42:35Speaker 2: But and then you know, of course she eats hard
- 42:37Speaker 2: food we don't give We don't give her like wet food.
- 42:40Speaker 2: She just eats kibble cat and she loves it, and
- 42:42Speaker 2: she's fat, so she eats a lot of it. But
- 42:44Speaker 2: I just it's kind of wild. Do cats not like
- 42:46Speaker 2: dog food or vice versa. I know, dogs will be anything.
- 42:48Speaker 2: We never had that when we we had three cats
- 42:51Speaker 2: and we still had Geter. He would always get into
- 42:53Speaker 2: their food. Oh really not good for him and they
- 42:56Speaker 2: would never touch his food.
- 42:58Speaker 3: So some thing it has to do with the ingredients. Yeah,
- 43:00Speaker 3: what is the makeup?
- 43:01Speaker 11: What?
- 43:01Speaker 3: What the what?
- 43:02Speaker 9: More beef for dogs and more fish for cats?
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, is there is there a nutrient
- 43:07Speaker 2: thing that hasn't happened differently for eear? I mean, do
- 43:10Speaker 2: cats require a different nutriently more.
- 43:12Speaker 3: I would imagine so yeah, yeah, because I.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Mean when we started making Sades food, we got the
- 43:17Speaker 2: packages of this nutrient pack that when you make it,
- 43:19Speaker 2: you just mix it in there and it has all
- 43:20Speaker 2: the vitamins and minerals and stuff dogs are supposed to
- 43:22Speaker 2: get that would normally be in like wet or dry
- 43:25Speaker 2: food that includes that. But we admit the cat doesn't
- 43:28Speaker 2: even go over to her bowl and her bowls right
- 43:29Speaker 2: there on the ground, never even asked for it, never
- 43:31Speaker 2: looks at it, know nothing.
- 43:33Speaker 13: The other thing you have to be careful of is
- 43:34Speaker 13: dogs love litter boxes.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the one thing that we found out is
- 43:38Speaker 2: my daughter's dog that also stayed with us for a
- 43:40Speaker 2: little while as the baby was getting a little bit older,
- 43:42Speaker 2: is gone now also used to love eating cat poop,
- 43:45Speaker 2: which is disgusting.
- 43:47Speaker 13: Higher fat content in their food than there is in
- 43:51Speaker 13: dogs foods, so to them it's a triosy roll.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that was part of the problem with he was
- 43:56Speaker 2: getting higher fat food and then I noticed he was fat.
- 43:59Speaker 2: It was like a little meat ball. And then you
- 44:01Speaker 2: washed them and you're like, well, time to go bowling something.
- 44:05Speaker 2: I'm telling you. When you wash the dog and they
- 44:07Speaker 2: get all fluffy, the what by far not even close
- 44:11Speaker 2: worst thing that dogs do. Dogs are basically perfect except
- 44:15Speaker 2: the hole there. Yeah, that is truly rock bottom. Yeah,
- 44:20Speaker 2: that last place, and it changes like I didn't I
- 44:22Speaker 2: didn't think my little dog did it right. But there's
- 44:25Speaker 2: a tailtale sign when they do it, and it has
- 44:27Speaker 2: nothing to do with it being in their mouth or
- 44:28Speaker 2: on their breath or anything. But when my little dog
- 44:31Speaker 2: pooped in the house, probably you know, about two years
- 44:34Speaker 2: ago or whatever, she would have been you know, probably
- 44:36Speaker 2: four at that time. I think she's five or six
- 44:38Speaker 2: now whatever, And you can tell because they are little
- 44:41Speaker 2: pieces around, so they would have they she would have
- 44:44Speaker 2: eaten around and left little pieces where like you know,
- 44:46Speaker 2: like it had been messed with or whatever, like she
- 44:48Speaker 2: was trying to cover up the evidence that she'd pooped
- 44:50Speaker 2: in the house. And I looked at her different from
- 44:51Speaker 2: that day on. Yeah, yeah, I just looked at her different.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I don't just need to say over there for a
- 44:55Speaker 2: little bit, because you sit over there for a little bit.
- 44:57Speaker 2: It's hard to you know, exchange that on love and
- 45:00Speaker 2: then you get hit with that as a reminder of
- 45:03Speaker 2: just like, ah, man, I thought you were better than that,
- 45:05Speaker 2: And then every lick on the face you get you
- 45:07Speaker 2: forget about it, and then you see him do it
- 45:08Speaker 2: one time and then you think back up all the
- 45:10Speaker 2: locks on the face, you've got it, and you're like,
- 45:11Speaker 2: what am I doing.
- 45:12Speaker 3: With my life? Yeah, it's not it. Yeah, I'll send
- 45:15Speaker 3: an email to like dog hr or something. Yeah, okay,
- 45:19Speaker 3: that'll be fun. I'll get to the bottom of it.
- 45:20Speaker 2: And the question I want to ask you guys, I
- 45:23Speaker 2: wanted to ask you guys this. Have you ever called
- 45:25Speaker 2: your spouse a different name and vice versa has a nickname? No,
- 45:30Speaker 2: a different name, oh, an accident when you've said something
- 45:35Speaker 2: and you called that person, You've called your loved one
- 45:38Speaker 2: another name, and even if it's another name of the
- 45:41Speaker 2: same gender. And the mistake I would make occasionally is
- 45:44Speaker 2: I would call my wife's name is Tory, and of course,
- 45:46Speaker 2: I know somebody named Corey and I would. I said
- 45:50Speaker 2: that one time and then and here's the thing, my
- 45:53Speaker 2: wife kind of forgot about the whole part of that.
- 45:55Speaker 2: And what do you think the first thing she who's Corey? Yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 2: immediately immediately from from having a cordial conversation right into
- 46:02Speaker 2: who's Cory? She always thinks it's a forty in slip?
- 46:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I'm like, maybe you know who it is.
- 46:07Speaker 2: It's this person. She goes, Oh, were you talking to
- 46:09Speaker 2: that person recently? I was like, we were just texting
- 46:11Speaker 2: the yesterday. So that's exactly what I app I've done
- 46:13Speaker 2: that in relationships before, but never never when I'm with
- 46:17Speaker 2: my wife.
- 46:18Speaker 3: Never with your wife. And I'm not gonna try it
- 46:21Speaker 3: in multiple ways, right. Yeah. Have you ever called Olivia
- 46:24Speaker 3: by another name? I am proud to say I have not. Well,
- 46:27Speaker 3: her name is kind of unique. Yeah, Olivia.
- 46:30Speaker 2: I once called her Bolivia country. Has she ever called
- 46:34Speaker 2: you by a different name?
- 46:35Speaker 3: Yeah? I mean we No, I don't think so. No.
- 46:38Speaker 2: No, you have pet names, but I mean not names
- 46:40Speaker 2: like you. She didn't call you an old boyfriend's name.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Yeah. No, I've never been called David.
- 46:44Speaker 2: You know, I think I think my wife and I
- 46:47Speaker 2: each called like when we first got married. I think
- 46:49Speaker 2: we were maybe two years in our marriage. We each
- 46:52Speaker 2: called each other our ex's name one time. That's a good.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Time to have the scoreboard be tied. Yeah, well it
- 47:00Speaker 3: was a great thing for that to be a draw.
- 47:02Speaker 3: And it was during an argument and I said something
- 47:05Speaker 3: and I said, and you know, I was like so
- 47:08Speaker 3: and so and I said the name, and man, the
- 47:11Speaker 3: argument didn't even matter at that point. The argument switched
- 47:13Speaker 3: to arguments. We went to a whole another argument at
- 47:17Speaker 3: that point. Have you ever had that happen? Yeah? Never,
- 47:23Speaker 3: That's why I go with Bob each other Bob, Yeah,
- 47:27Speaker 3: that's that's so smart. But I also thoroughly enjoy how
- 47:31Speaker 3: you called your wife Corey and she immediately thought that,
- 47:35Speaker 3: you know, the plaque and boy had a secret exactly.
- 47:39Speaker 2: And then again I the 's name thing was like
- 47:43Speaker 2: the scary one because you know it was it was
- 47:46Speaker 2: a weird time in a relationship. So we both made
- 47:49Speaker 2: that slip, and she had credit on me for a
- 47:52Speaker 2: while because I did it first, right, and she would
- 47:54Speaker 2: throw that up because it became a joke in a relationship.
- 47:57Speaker 2: And then like a year later, something happened with her ex,
- 48:00Speaker 2: and it kind of got the thing stirred up, and
- 48:02Speaker 2: then she yelled that name out to me and I.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Was like, ahah, finally, no more of this.
- 48:07Speaker 2: I just did this though for the first time. I'm
- 48:10Speaker 2: not going to say it's worse than if I had
- 48:12Speaker 2: done it with my wife. But with my best friend.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Oh really, yeah, my childhood best friend. You call him
- 48:19Speaker 2: a different name. I called them my other best friend's
- 48:21Speaker 2: name way and a weird way. In some ways, that's worse.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I don't know why, I know. I think I think
- 48:30Speaker 2: it is worse because what your best friend at that
- 48:32Speaker 2: point would think that he's kind of lost your favor,
- 48:35Speaker 2: and then this, this other friend is now your best friend.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and that has some value to people. Dude.
- 48:39Speaker 2: If that happened to me, I would be like, I
- 48:42Speaker 2: would be upset about it per se, but I'd be like,
- 48:44Speaker 2: what would I do?
- 48:44Speaker 3: Dude? Yeah, it's sad. It was a frown moment.
- 48:48Speaker 2: While you cannot get away with it in your relationship,
- 48:51Speaker 2: even with your friends, it doesn't work, but it's almost expected.
- 48:55Speaker 2: If you're a parent and you're talking about your kids,
- 48:57Speaker 2: oh yeah, to get the kids name wrong is just
- 49:01Speaker 2: like a normal thing.
- 49:02Speaker 3: At a comedy.
- 49:03Speaker 9: That's a comedy trope, right, Yeah, you run through all
- 49:05Speaker 9: the kids' names until you get the one that's.
- 49:07Speaker 8: In the in.
- 49:08Speaker 2: The more mad you get, the more often it happens.
- 49:11Speaker 2: You're like Taylor Coby.
- 49:17Speaker 3: You like stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, got it right.
- 49:20Speaker 2: I know that my brother's name is Chase, so my
- 49:23Speaker 2: name was Chay Ross.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Like that's all I heard. Legit.
- 49:28Speaker 2: The majority of the majority of the times that my
- 49:32Speaker 2: mom has called me my name, it has been Chay Ross.
- 49:35Speaker 2: The worst French restaurant. I'll tell you another kind of
- 49:39Speaker 2: hyper sensitive one. And this was a wild time in
- 49:42Speaker 2: my life. And I don't know that I've ever felt worse,
- 49:45Speaker 2: and I didn't even mean to. So when my mom
- 49:48Speaker 2: and dad got divorced and my mom got my dad
- 49:51Speaker 2: got remarried, and when I moved to Orlando after graduating
- 49:56Speaker 2: from high school, my mom took it personally, you know.
- 49:58Speaker 2: She thought I was like leaving her or not just
- 50:00Speaker 2: going out for more opportunity. She took it real personally
- 50:03Speaker 2: because my mom and dad's relationship ended poorly. It was contentious,
- 50:07Speaker 2: to say the very least, so she considered that like
- 50:10Speaker 2: a loss, like me moving down here with my dad
- 50:13Speaker 2: was like to her in some way, although he wanted that, Yeah,
- 50:16Speaker 2: exactly that he won, you know, he he's he's got.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Me now type thing. Right.
- 50:21Speaker 2: So the my step mom, who is a wonderful human
- 50:25Speaker 2: being by the way, a really absolutely beautiful person inside. Now,
- 50:29Speaker 2: she's great, help me out a lot. Hell, yeah, that
- 50:31Speaker 2: has been a great she really has. She I probably
- 50:33Speaker 2: don't tell her not enough, but she's been really really good.
- 50:36Speaker 2: I've never heard and has been that for years.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 50:38Speaker 2: I remember being on the phone with my mom once
- 50:42Speaker 2: and was talking about my step mom and called my
- 50:45Speaker 2: step mom mom on accident. Dude, that was that. That's
- 50:51Speaker 2: the loudest silence I've ever heard my life. Yep, that
- 50:56Speaker 2: phone went dead, but it wasn't dead. You could feel
- 51:00Speaker 2: attention through the phone. And then the next she goes, so,
- 51:02Speaker 2: what are you calling scary now? And I'm like, Mom,
- 51:06Speaker 2: I just call her Sherry. That was I just in
- 51:09Speaker 2: the heat of the conversation, you know, And my mother
- 51:12Speaker 2: was crushed. Dude, was crushed when that happened. Yeah, it's
- 51:19Speaker 2: day story. It was just it was just crazy. I
- 51:22Speaker 2: didn't even mean anything by it. I mean I didn't
- 51:25Speaker 2: you know, I never considered her my mom. She's a
- 51:28Speaker 2: great person, but she's not my mom. She would even
- 51:30Speaker 2: say that she's a logical person. It was just kind
- 51:32Speaker 2: of a wild time.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Damn. Yeah, yeah, never had that happen.
- 51:37Speaker 2: I mean, I I haven't really been called too many names,
- 51:41Speaker 2: but whenever I have long hair, I get misgendered once
- 51:44Speaker 2: a month.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Yeah, there's Ellen's not so famous sister. I've gotten man, ma'am, sir.
- 51:54Speaker 3: I do that so much. I have, I do that
- 51:56Speaker 3: so much. I and I.
- 51:58Speaker 2: It's such a problem saying, you know, buddy or pal
- 52:02Speaker 2: or something like that to the wrong person, you know,
- 52:04Speaker 2: and then what's really it's always a bad boy girl.
- 52:07Speaker 2: So if you're always misgendering, right, so then you start
- 52:09Speaker 2: using the word day and then you're like, oh god,
- 52:12Speaker 2: I'm a paradox.
- 52:13Speaker 3: I became my worst enemy, right all right?
- 52:16Speaker 2: Uh four oh seven nine one six one four one.

- 52:38Speaker 3: Hope you guys doing well. Thanks by you didn't really.
- 52:43Speaker 4: For the first two and a half years I lived
- 52:44Speaker 4: in Hawaii, bretended on the SS Constitution Inner Island cruise ship.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Monday night, we'd leave out at Kakului on the north
- 52:51Speaker 4: shore Omaui and go around the Hamakua coastline to Hilo
- 52:56Speaker 4: on the east side of the Big Island.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Well, the deck I.
- 52:59Speaker 4: Worked on was sty feet above the water, and I've
- 53:02Speaker 4: seen waves splash up there. I've seen all the pool
- 53:04Speaker 4: furniture go from one side of the deck to the other.
- 53:08Speaker 3: Talk about it.

- 53:39Speaker 2: laughing about over.
- 53:39Speaker 3: There, dude, I'm just in a great mude. That's awesome.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Me too. It's hard to tell when you just spawn
- 53:46Speaker 3: like that. Yeah, yeah, me Tooim in a great moon.
- 53:49Speaker 2: I really am, because yesterday it was dying on the
- 53:51Speaker 2: air like I had this allergy attack or something hit
- 53:53Speaker 2: me like about three thirty or so, and it just, man,
- 53:57Speaker 2: it got progressively worse throughout the day. So I shook
- 54:00Speaker 2: that and uh, feeling a lot better. Good night to sleep.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Last night I did not know I had. I drank
- 54:07Speaker 2: and I had an espresso after dinner. It was my
- 54:09Speaker 2: brother's birthday.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah yeah.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Oh by the way, how was that restaurant? Oh my god,
- 54:14Speaker 2: it's really good. It's special. You know what I love
- 54:16Speaker 2: about that? When you text me that last night, it
- 54:18Speaker 2: made me feel good. And I'll tell you why. Right,
- 54:20Speaker 2: So when you do anybody that has an opinion based
- 54:24Speaker 2: segment on the show, right, and Faiez has an opinion
- 54:27Speaker 2: based segment, right, I mean food quality food experiences are
- 54:32Speaker 2: unbelievably subjective will you agree. So it's hard for one
- 54:36Speaker 2: person to say, hey, you're going to love this because
- 54:39Speaker 2: I love it. But you know, I trust Faiez his
- 54:41Speaker 2: palate because I know he appreciates a lot of different foods,
- 54:45Speaker 2: whether it be the most basic American food all the
- 54:47Speaker 2: way up to the most egregious and out there. You know,
- 54:52Speaker 2: Asian foods he's like, and you know, Indian foods, African foods.
- 54:55Speaker 3: He loves all of it.
- 54:56Speaker 2: That dude is unbelievably versed in great food and he
- 55:00Speaker 2: thinks the restaurant that you went to last night's top
- 55:03Speaker 2: three in the city.
- 55:04Speaker 3: It is.
- 55:05Speaker 2: This is how good it was. Is that it was
- 55:07Speaker 2: my brother's birthday. And this is kind of part of
- 55:08Speaker 2: thoughts a little bit, But it was my brother's birthday.
- 55:11Speaker 2: And I don't think you'd be too mad at me
- 55:13Speaker 2: sharing this. But very common to be kind of sad
- 55:17Speaker 2: on your birthday. As you get a little bit older,
- 55:20Speaker 2: as you look back and reflect, you're coming to grips
- 55:23Speaker 2: with your mortality more and more. You're at the time
- 55:26Speaker 2: of the age where you do that. I don't think
- 55:27Speaker 2: any of us do that.
- 55:29Speaker 3: I yeah, I'm there.
- 55:30Speaker 2: I wept like two birthdays ago when my wife was pregnant,
- 55:34Speaker 2: and I was just like, oh God, life is here.
- 55:37Speaker 2: And I've said this and if there's one thing I
- 55:39Speaker 2: would love for everyone just to take a moment and
- 55:41Speaker 2: soak in because this is such a belief that I have.
- 55:44Speaker 2: It's part of my creed now, is that when you
- 55:46Speaker 2: are young, it is such a privilege to not know
- 55:50Speaker 2: the answers to the questions about your future. Yes, it
- 55:55Speaker 2: is almost this bulletproof shield. Well you know, later down
- 55:59Speaker 2: on the road, I'll fix that. Or you keep thinking,
- 56:02Speaker 2: I wonder who my partner will be, and then you
- 56:04Speaker 2: find out and it's great news. But but now that
- 56:07Speaker 2: life question has been answered, it's been answered. Check that
- 56:10Speaker 2: one off the box. You don't know how much of
- 56:14Speaker 2: a gas tank or propellant. That is when you don't
- 56:17Speaker 2: have the answers to those questions. And once you get
- 56:21Speaker 2: those answers, they can be great answers. But boy, having
- 56:24Speaker 2: the questions that only youth can bring you man, and
- 56:28Speaker 2: then like, am I gonna be a good dad? You
- 56:30Speaker 2: have to be seen, Gotta find out, Gotta feed them honestly,
- 56:34Speaker 2: gotta feed them more. That's what I'm learning.
- 56:37Speaker 3: Still, what restaurant did you go to? June. It's in
- 56:41Speaker 3: Thornton Park.
- 56:43Speaker 2: It's such a it was such a good dining experience
- 56:46Speaker 2: that my brother was kind of having somewhat of a
- 56:48Speaker 2: you know, getting close to that sad birthday, and I
- 56:51Speaker 2: forced them out. I made sure that we went out
- 56:54Speaker 2: and got a good restaurant, a good dinner. It's your birthday,
- 56:58Speaker 2: if there's not, if there's one day out of the
- 57:00Speaker 2: year to go out of the way to love yourself
- 57:02Speaker 2: and spend money on yourself and your family, it's your
- 57:06Speaker 2: and there's birth days. Yeah, one hundred percent I would
- 57:08Speaker 2: agree with that. So, yeah, we're actually celebrating my daughters
- 57:11Speaker 2: this weekend. So I appreciate that one hundred percent. It
- 57:13Speaker 2: turned his night around. That's what good drink and good
- 57:16Speaker 2: food and good company and can do. It's funny you
- 57:18Speaker 2: mention that, because actually, what I was going to talk
- 57:19Speaker 2: about this for this short segment before we get to
- 57:21Speaker 2: Colbert Court, because Glenn will be here in just a
- 57:22Speaker 2: few minutes, was this, how long did you guys hang
- 57:25Speaker 2: out at your table after you paid your tab?
- 57:28Speaker 3: Fair amount? How long is a fair amount?
- 57:30Speaker 2: I would say fifteen fifteen minutes? Yeah, what do you
- 57:35Speaker 2: think the etiquette says for that. I read this today,
- 57:38Speaker 2: and I've never heard this before, although I've eaten at
- 57:41Speaker 2: restaurants and then afterwards, like you guys, get a cup
- 57:43Speaker 2: of coffee with your dessert, right, and then you want
- 57:46Speaker 2: to finish the coffee, And that's a really good conversation thing.
- 57:49Speaker 2: At the end of the meal. Everybody's goint of chilled out.
- 57:51Speaker 2: You've done the eating stuff and now you can like
- 57:53Speaker 2: talk and just kind of enjoy your coffee. And I
- 57:55Speaker 2: agree with that, and I thought for sure, like you know,
- 57:58Speaker 2: fifteen minutes was perfect.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Fine, Oh wow, it's not. Well, it's dependent on some things.
- 58:03Speaker 3: What do you think it should be After you've paid
- 58:05Speaker 3: your bill, After you've paid your bill, they cut around.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Everybody's paid their checks. But you got this, they serve dessert.
- 58:10Speaker 2: They're not going to give you your bill before the last
- 58:13Speaker 2: thing you paid for comes. Right, You get your dessert
- 58:16Speaker 2: and coffee, right, and then they read the tab. They
- 58:18Speaker 2: lay the tab down as you're eating your dis right,
- 58:21Speaker 2: and then you pay that off and they're gone and
- 58:23Speaker 2: you're still enjoying your dessert.
- 58:24Speaker 13: I would say five minutes at most five minutes fine.
- 58:27Speaker 3: Because after you've paid your bills. See, that's right, she
- 58:30Speaker 3: hates being outside.
- 58:34Speaker 9: They want to turn that table over and get some
- 58:36Speaker 9: more people.
- 58:37Speaker 3: Now what they want. That comes into play, right, that
- 58:40Speaker 3: comes into play.
- 58:40Speaker 2: What do you think, Ross, I think fifteen minutes fine,
- 58:45Speaker 2: just wrapping things up, little tidbits of conversation. And you
- 58:48Speaker 2: guys are actually pretty darn close because what they say,
- 58:51Speaker 2: this is the mis etiquette thing. What they say is,
- 58:53Speaker 2: by the way, I'm ten, it's dependent on how busy
- 58:57Speaker 2: the restaurant is. Like, if you're eating at six o'clock,
- 59:00Speaker 2: can you finish in a busy restaurant? You know, they
- 59:03Speaker 2: say five ten minutes max. And by the way, some
- 59:06Speaker 2: restaurants will throw your ass out. Some restaurants will come over,
- 59:09Speaker 2: they'll send a server over and say, hey, we wrapping
- 59:12Speaker 2: up here because they got tables to turn and that's
- 59:14Speaker 2: money in the bank for those guys. But the ad
- 59:17Speaker 2: they said fifteen minutes, fifteen to thirty minutes based on that,
- 59:20Speaker 2: if you're at the end of the night, you've had
- 59:21Speaker 2: a late dinner, it's like eight o'clock, and the restaurant
- 59:25Speaker 2: really isn't that busy. You can hang out as much
- 59:27Speaker 2: as you want. For the most part, restaurant owners say
- 59:29Speaker 2: they don't care really if you hang out. If there
- 59:31Speaker 2: are available tables and if somebody comes in and they
- 59:33Speaker 2: can seat them, no problem. If there are people in
- 59:36Speaker 2: the restaurant and it's busy, it's like if you're eating
- 59:38Speaker 2: at the primetime six thirty seven o'clock, they say, you
- 59:41Speaker 2: want to get out of there five ten minutes max.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Don't hang out, don't loiter, you want to make somebody mad.
- 59:47Speaker 2: Just hang out there because the servers, that's ten minutes
- 59:50Speaker 2: they're not serving and impressing somebody to get tips. Oh man,
- 59:54Speaker 2: what a restaurant. If you ever go to June, get
- 59:57Speaker 2: the carrots, send me the email later.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Carrots.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never seen I've never heard anybody recommend Carrots.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: That's how good this restaurant is. Yeah.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he says it's amazing. He said it's so good
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: that when he went the first time, he went back,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: I want to say, two or three days in a
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: row because he wanted to eat the entire menu, because
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: he said the first day when he went, he goes,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: if if what I ate was that good, the rest
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: of it has to be as good, and he wanted
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: to try it. He thinks it's one of the best
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: in the city and it's a birthday dinner. I'm paying
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: this dinner off for the next two to three months.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: And it's Mexican, right, yes, but what you expect Mexican
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: to be. It's not what it's like a high credit
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: score Mexicans. It's not text mes Mexican.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, yeah, it's not the burritos, tacos, complimentary chips
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: and sauce at the table right.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: No what, I'm out, by the way, that's the thirty
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: dog for me. I'm out by the way, that's the press.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: When you say dog, it makes me laugh.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: So yeah, I know why.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: It's like it's like me saying magneto. He said dog,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: I thought of America.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: That's not for me. Dog.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Can we agree on this? Can we agree that chips
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: and salsa are the best pre meal free thing you
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: get from any single restaurant. Better than rolls, better than
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: garlic nons, better than your little cracker basket.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Make it. It's the best, don't don't you? What are
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: you writhing over there for?
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: I've gotta go with garlic bread. I'm gonna go with
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: garlic bread. You get me a little dipping sauce when
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: I still think it the olive oil should be in
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: a bowl, but it's in a little coffee plate, a
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: little coffee sauce.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: All right, that's that's why go to you.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: I like that, okay, more so than let's say, rolls
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: from a steak restaurant with that cinnamon butter.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Oh did I throw a wrench in the machine? Wait?
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: What side are you on? I'm saying that's great.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: I still think depending on how good the salsa is
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: or the pico is, I still think that's it.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: What do you think? I don't.
- 1:01:54Speaker 9: I'm gonna go tortilla chips you like to or the
- 1:01:58Speaker 9: peanuts you get, Oh.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Oh, peanuts, that's a good time. Baskets of peanuts is good.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: You don't do baskets anymore.
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: Now you get a bucket with a little bag with
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: a bag and they have a big sign outside the
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: door that says caution peanut and peanut dust in the air.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: The thing with rolls though, you can fill up on that. Yeah,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: it's like, man, do I want to blow all the
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: calorie intake on this bread?
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: I don't just settle down. I don't understand what side
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: gym is on. You can do that with gyms.
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Pips is actually we just did at the ternight because
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: ta Wan the flats was so busy it took forever.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: We had full on chips. While wife everything you ate yourdagos.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: I have to save some of the break because I
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: want the bread with my entree, especially if there's anything
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: right on the plate. Oh yeah, where you can sp
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: it up red sauce or something like that, I want
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: bread with that. Like like any dish, I usually want
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: the bread with it.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: I don't want it as an appen but these are freebies.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: And as a rule, when you're to an Italian restaurant
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: and you order something and you get that, that's an order.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: Like if you go get like Mozrel six, that's an order.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: I'm talking about stuff they bring up complimentary and sit
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: down for you to noah on until your meal. You
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: fill up on a bowl of bread. Then are you
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: even making it to dessert with chips?
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: We've established that theoretically. No, you keep a control on chips.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: And with the SUSA that's a vegetable, man, that's healthy food.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: The answer is the bread that comes with olive oil,
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: then you can hit it with the regno and then
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: you put some balsamic in it and you kind of
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: make it look cool and it looks like an Italian broken.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: Only Jack would say that the sauce is healthy when
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: you eat it with a fried spoon. Yeah, because the
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: chip is a fried spoon, all right. Four seven night,
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: hold me back, Jim four O seven N four one
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: text seven seven zero three one colbrat Court.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: On the other side, stay tuned.

- 1:04:04Speaker 17: your show.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:04:05Speaker 17: I just started listening to it recently. My name is Kate,
- 1:04:08Speaker 17: and I'm thinking about those things that they put out
- 1:04:10Speaker 17: to eat before you actually eat at a restaurant. What's
- 1:04:13Speaker 17: fun with the carne Chians is that what they call it,
- 1:04:17Speaker 17: the pickles and all those and things, all those sauce
- 1:04:19Speaker 17: is really good that sometimes they just want to spoon
- 1:04:21Speaker 17: to just cirk it up and not have to have
- 1:04:23Speaker 17: all of the tortilla calories. Maybe just a.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: Couple of tim.
- 1:04:29Speaker 18: Yeah, chips and sauce are pretty good, but it is
- 1:04:32Speaker 18: also hard to beat breadsticks and alfreda sauce from out Look, but.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: You have to pay for the alfredo.
- 1:04:38Speaker 15: I will agree with you if you're done eat, You
- 1:04:42Speaker 15: gotta help. It's time to get the hell out.
- 1:04:44Speaker 11: Of But.
- 1:04:47Speaker 15: Company's going good, everyone's having fun. We don't really want
- 1:04:51Speaker 15: to leave yet. It's the waitress or waiter egg. Can
- 1:04:54Speaker 15: we stay another twenty thirty minutes? Get another drink, cup
- 1:04:58Speaker 15: of coffee. I'll make it worse, you know what I mean.
- 1:05:01Speaker 15: I'll tip twenty and then i'll tip fifteen or twenty
- 1:05:03Speaker 15: percent on top of that.
- 1:05:06Speaker 14: Hey, we're visiting from out of town, staying in Mount
- 1:05:09Speaker 14: Dora the next three nights. Just need some casual restaurant recommendations.
- 1:05:14Speaker 14: Where do we want to go eat the next few nights?
- 1:05:16Speaker 14: Thanks appreciate it.
- 1:05:18Speaker 9: You want to go to the Artery, You want to
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: go to Back Porch, Pizza Lost Palmis, Lost Palmis. If
- 1:05:25Speaker 9: you want some Cuban food, Pisces Rising. If you want
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: a view of the lake that you can't get anywhere else,
- 1:05:31Speaker 9: and you.
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: Want to step it up nineteen twenty one, or the
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Goblin Market.
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: Yeah, but those are going to be reservations, and that's
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: going to be like Ross's birthday dinner. It's a birthday
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: dinner type restaurant, but some really good food.
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: And if you want legit one of the best sandwiches
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: you'll ever eat in your entire life. There's a little
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: place in out door called the Butcher's Nook, and I
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: swear on my life it is such a special little spot, dude.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: It is so blanking good. It really is great.
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: Yeah, and then go to mass Mountain moonshine, get yourself
- 1:05:55Speaker 9: some moonshine and walk around out Mondorra.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: All right, welcome back to the Jim Culbert Show. Already
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: one four point one bills is your four o'clock keyword
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: b I LS. Go to real Radio dot FM and
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: send it off for your chance at one thousand bucks.
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: I'm Jim. There's deb Jack. Yeah, Ross is here as well.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Can't get it to UI walking. Let's do Colbert Court
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: when you are listening to is real?
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Well sort of. The participants are not actors as a fact.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: This is, however, a real case that will be decided
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: here in our four of love.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Colbert Court. Colber Court brought to you my good friend
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Klausman Law, Glen Klausman and Klausman Law. That's k l
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: a U. S.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: M An Law dot com offices right there in Winner
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Park four oh seven nine one seven seventeen eighteen car
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: crash call Klausman.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: Guys good in laud for mister Glenn. Clausman Voices Bang Glynn.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: Glenn handles a lot of cases, a lot of car
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: accident cases, a trip and ball cases. You have any
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: of that stuff, he can certainly handle it for you.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Very good at it, by the way, legal elite super lawyer,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: one of the lawyers in town that other lawyers call
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: for issues when they get kind of caught up as well. True, well,
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: thank yeah, yeah, it's true though, right, I mean true,
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: it's a hundred percent truth. Let me ask you a question.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Do you linger because you eat out a lot? Do
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: you linger a little bit after you eat? Or you
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: just get up and leave?
- 1:07:08Speaker 10: Depends on what we're doing. Yeah, yeah, you know sometimes
- 1:07:11Speaker 10: we do, but most often we get up and leave.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: And then, what do you think, because we were talking
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: about this right before you came in, what do you
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: think the best complementary pre meal thing is? Like your
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: chips and sauce at Mexican restaurants? And I know that
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: we mentioned one of our favorite places, Francesco's has that
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: bread and the olive oil with the balsamic vinegar and
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: some herbs in there.
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: We both love that.
- 1:07:34Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:07:34Speaker 10: Yeah, and I get lunch at Francescoes and with your
- 1:07:37Speaker 10: lunch entree you get either super salad and his soup
- 1:07:40Speaker 10: is phenomenal.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: The suits are free and it's free, right it comes
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: with a lunch. Yeah yeah, it's amazing. And another people
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: a pizza, I get salad or soup.
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: That's awesome. Yeah.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: And then you and I like going to Enzo's, which
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: is the most legendary Italian spot, I mean, like real
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: Italian spot in town. And I think their pre meal
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: basket of like crackers and breads is also very good.
- 1:07:59Speaker 10: It is terrific. And the butter even is wonderful. Oh yeah,
- 1:08:02Speaker 10: it's a real butter.
- 1:08:02Speaker 13: Yeah all right, I'm sorry, Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: That's another good one, cheddar Baby biscuits.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: I remember going to Enzas with Glenn and Jim. I
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: think all of us were there the entire time. I
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: was like, I shouldn't be here. Well, I mean, when
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: you look around, it's like Judge, Judge Lawyer, to go
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: build Orlando. They have to go builds Orlando. It's like
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: the who's who of the city over there. I'm wearing
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: a halo reach t shirt, you know, like I look
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: like I'm about to kick flip of three.
- 1:08:31Speaker 10: Well, and prices are not out of sight. It's reasonable
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: for what you get, but it's a great rest of
- 1:08:35Speaker 10: it's phenomenal. Yeah, it certainly is. Glenn stops it on
- 1:08:38Speaker 10: Thursdays every Thursday. Actually, we have a case here, and
- 1:08:40Speaker 10: what we'll do is we'll go around the room and
- 1:08:42Speaker 10: try to figure the case out. These are usually cases
- 1:08:44Speaker 10: Glenn is actually arguing right now or is this the
- 1:08:47Speaker 10: case you had? It's an older case. I thought it'd
- 1:08:49Speaker 10: be appropriate though, because it's getting to that time of
- 1:08:51Speaker 10: year where people using off road vehicles and that sort
- 1:08:53Speaker 10: of thing.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: Yeah, summertime, kids will be out of school, that'll be
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: looking for things to do, and stuff like this will
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: happen for sure. So if you're just tuning into, say
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: for the first time, like I said, we'll go around
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: faticcus here, Oh he was bowling here, very nice, and
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: we'll try to figure out then we'll kick it over
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: to Glenn. One of the reasons we do this is
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: so that you get a better comprehensive idea of how
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: the law works when it comes to applying your insurance
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: to certain scenarios. Hopefully making you a better citizen when
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: it comes to kind of knowing your rights against your
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: very own insurance company and what the law allows and
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: will not allow, and some of it gets very shocking
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: at times. So I'm going to read this case. We'll
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: go around the room and figure it out. And I
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: would like to point out I want to I don't
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: want to jinx it like naming you a horse winner.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: But I've been right the last two maybe even three times.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: I believe the tapes. All right, very good. Here we go. Billy,
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: age ten, had a sleepover at his friend's house excuse me,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: and they joined other kids across the street at a
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: birthday party.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: The kids were riding up and down the street in
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: a gated community on a Kalasaki Mule four wheel utility
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: vehicle when the nine year old girl driver turned and
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: caused the utility of vehicle to flip on its side.
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: There were four kids in the utility vehicle and Billy
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: suffered a serious leg injury. Remember he's ten years old.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Utility vehicle is owned by the business of the person
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: where the birthday party was held at the business owner's
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: vacation home. Oh ma, oh no, your Billy's attorney and
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: his family need your help. What do you do? Let
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: me Cliff notes. This billy goes over to a birthday party.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: He's had a sleepover. They go to across the party
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: join other kids at a birthday party. Those kids were
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: riding up and down the street.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: It's a gated.
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: Community on a mule four wheel you guys know what
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: those are, by the way, kind of like an ATV
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: with a bed in the back.
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: Right, I'm a super liberal.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: No, there's a nine year old girl driving, nine years
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: old driving this vehicle's.
- 1:10:49Speaker 10: She did have experience from driving her barbie cart before.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: Okay, we have jokes, ladies and gentlemen. There were four
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: kids in the bed of the vehicle. Billy suffered a
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: serious leg injury. Here's where it gets testing. The vehicle
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: is owned by the business of the person where the
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: birthday party was held at the business owner's vacation home.
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: So the business or where it happened was at a
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: vacation home that is owned by the business of the
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: guy where they were having the birthday party. And the
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: utility vehicle is also registered to the business, and that's
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: a vacation home, not the primary residence. Is the vacation
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: home owned by the business. Okay I said that incorrectly. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: you got a business that owns the utility, the vehicle.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: They're at the vacation home owned by mister and missus,
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: And I would say the homeowner's insurance on the vacation
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: home people is on the hook here as well as
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: the business insurance that has the vehicle. Why would they
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: mention gated neighborhood, why would they come? Why would they
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: bring that up? I think sometimes Glenn likes to use extra.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Words, does he really? Yeah?
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: Usually Glenn is pretty efficient the words, and in the
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: cases that actually come into play, I think we know
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: it's probably more affluent.
- 1:12:06Speaker 13: That's what I was going to say.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: The fact that you're also getting summer home. Yeah, and
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: you know a quad you know thing.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: Do we know who the parents of the nine year
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: old are?
- 1:12:18Speaker 10: Yeah, we know, we know who they are. You they're different. No,
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: that's a different party than the place where Billy is
- 1:12:26Speaker 10: sleeping over, and it's different than the people who own the.
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: Vacation So there's like three different entities here. Because you
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: could also go after the car insurance of the parents
- 1:12:36Speaker 9: of the nine year old since she was the one
- 1:12:38Speaker 9: driving the vehicle. Also go after the insurance for the
- 1:12:43Speaker 9: business vehicle since that's the vehicle that was involved in
- 1:12:46Speaker 9: the accident, as well as the homeowner's insurance for the
- 1:12:50Speaker 9: vacation home where the family is staying.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: How about the communities homeowners association?
- 1:12:54Speaker 9: That could be the reason another reason why the gated
- 1:12:57Speaker 9: community is brought up, because.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: Maybe that like rules and regulations of what can or
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: cannot be on the road there.
- 1:13:04Speaker 10: Well, it wouldn't be the homeowner's liability, homeowers association liability.
- 1:13:08Speaker 10: It's kind of mentioned because it's the perception that it's
- 1:13:11Speaker 10: safer it's a gated community.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: Oh, I gotcha up and down.
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: Yet it's not like they're in an area where they
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: can go out on a highway.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: Right, So that's right, I would start, How serious is
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: this leg injury? Bad? It was really bad.
- 1:13:22Speaker 10: Yeah, there was some thought he might might lose part
- 1:13:25Speaker 10: of his leg no way, really yeah, Fortunately that didn't happen.
- 1:13:28Speaker 10: I mean this case is, you know, years ago, but
- 1:13:30Speaker 10: I thought it'd be appropriate to bring it back now,
- 1:13:31Speaker 10: and and he's doing wonderfully.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: Well, oh that's great, good though, good to hear. But
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: we're talking like six years later a question for mister Klausman.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: I know that age always plays a role when it
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: comes to types of different settlements. If you are twenty
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: years old, you have more life ahead of you. But
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: I do know at ten years old that you have
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: a higher chance of healing. Isn't that correct?
- 1:13:54Speaker 10: Hey, younger people heel better than older people. That's yeah.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: Would that play a factor in the overall and result
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: that is the settlement?
- 1:14:02Speaker 10: Probably not, because you know, it's just a bad, bad injury,
- 1:14:05Speaker 10: and it's you know, it's a terrible thing for the
- 1:14:08Speaker 10: young child to go through.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: Who are the parents of the nine year old?
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: It's a single mom that has very limited insurance.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: So the driver of the vehicle's mother has virtually no
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: insurance and she's a single mom.
- 1:14:23Speaker 10: Mom ten thousand dollars in liability insurance. Liability insurance pays
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: when you're level.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Who allowed the nine year old to drive the UTV?
- 1:14:30Speaker 10: That's a great question. I mean, the answer that we
- 1:14:33Speaker 10: found during litigating the case was one of the children
- 1:14:37Speaker 10: of mister and missus who owned a vacation home.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:14:42Speaker 10: Their families. Util Yeah, the nine year old say, Hey,
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: I want to drive. I have a Barbie car. And
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: I have a driving you know, kids are in there,
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: and that was yeah.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: It's their responsibility. It's their utility vehicle. The keys are
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: there and they if children are riding it. That's plus they're.
- 1:15:03Speaker 9: Having a birthday party, so they knew the temptation of
- 1:15:07Speaker 9: the kids wanting to drive the vehicle. If they didn't
- 1:15:09Speaker 9: want the kids to have access to the vehicle, they
- 1:15:11Speaker 9: would kept the keys or you know, put it in
- 1:15:13Speaker 9: the garage, put it under a tarp, keep the keys,
- 1:15:16Speaker 9: make it you know. But it's tempting when it's sitting
- 1:15:18Speaker 9: there and you're having a birthday party for nine and
- 1:15:20Speaker 9: ten year olds, of course they're gonna want to go
- 1:15:22Speaker 9: out and drive it. Well, mom, it's a gated community.
- 1:15:24Speaker 9: It's not like cars can come down the street. We're
- 1:15:26Speaker 9: gonna be okay.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: Tell them no, it's not a toy. I'm a parent,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: I'm not your friend. Sit down and shut up and
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: eat some cake. It's just got to be the owners
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: of the vacation property and the owners of the UTV.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Those are the people that are on the hook for this,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: and that should be it, right, that's my take. Yeah,
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: that's got to be it. I mean, there's really, really well,
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: is the vacation home owned. It's not owned by the business,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: right you know? A yeah, yeah, okay, I gotcha.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: The couple who owned the u TV, but the business
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: owns the u TV.
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: The business owns the util so the.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: Business is actually on the hook.
- 1:15:57Speaker 10: Business is on a hook, right, Yeah, So mean vacation
- 1:16:00Speaker 10: home folks are on the hook.
- 1:16:01Speaker 9: You're right, yeah, exactly, So leave the mom of the
- 1:16:04Speaker 9: nine year old out on the hoop.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Let me ask a silly question, because if the business
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: is incorporated, right, and it is an incorporation and the
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: business owns this, doesn't that kind of shield the owners
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: of the of the ATV as personal owners.
- 1:16:20Speaker 10: No, No, they're they're liable. They're because they're negligent in
- 1:16:23Speaker 10: not supervising these children like they were supposed to supervise
- 1:16:26Speaker 10: the children, gotcha, Okay, yeah, that's why liable. And go ahead.
- 1:16:31Speaker 9: I was just going to ask about the house where
- 1:16:33Speaker 9: Billy is sleeping over is there any responsibility there without
- 1:16:39Speaker 9: keeping the children at the home or at least supervising
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: when they go across the street.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: What's going to be happening?
- 1:16:46Speaker 8: Right?
- 1:16:46Speaker 10: Great question? And their insurance paid also?
- 1:16:48Speaker 13: Wow?
- 1:16:49Speaker 10: Really think they were negligent in not supervising the kid
- 1:16:53Speaker 10: that was sleeping over.
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: I mean, you drop your kids off to have fun
- 1:16:56Speaker 9: at a birthday party, You're not expecting to find out
- 1:16:58Speaker 9: that they're going to lose part of their legs simply
- 1:17:00Speaker 9: because the parents just let them go across the street
- 1:17:03Speaker 9: and get into a vehicle without an adult in it.
- 1:17:05Speaker 19: Right.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: I feel lucky for not being zued for this.
- 1:17:07Speaker 10: Yeah. And then the insurance actually for mister and missus
- 1:17:11Speaker 10: on their regular home the homeowners was also on the
- 1:17:14Speaker 10: hook because because they're liable.
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: I believe we are now up to four is that
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: not maybe even five things?
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: Entities?
- 1:17:23Speaker 10: You're up to five?
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: So let me that's that's an interesting thing, right, So
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: now you have five, five entities that can be sued
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: for insurance money to get this boy's leg. Do we
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: how much the total was for the to set the
- 1:17:33Speaker 2: leg and everything back to normal.
- 1:17:35Speaker 10: Well, I can't tell you what the settlement was because
- 1:17:36Speaker 10: it's confidential, okay. But what became interesting was the law
- 1:17:40Speaker 10: is if you go to trial in a case like this,
- 1:17:42Speaker 10: the jury will apportion fault to whoever. You know the
- 1:17:46Speaker 10: percentages of fault. Yeah, And the other issue was which
- 1:17:52Speaker 10: was a really main issue in a case when when
- 1:17:54Speaker 10: couldn't get a settle during mediation was the insurance companies
- 1:17:57Speaker 10: were arguing with each other as to who comes first,
- 1:17:59Speaker 10: who's primary, who's primary, we're secondary of your primary, and
- 1:18:03Speaker 10: they're arguing amongst themselves. So we were at the point
- 1:18:06Speaker 10: where we're getting ready to go to trial, and they
- 1:18:07Speaker 10: were concerned that we would get a much larger verdict
- 1:18:11Speaker 10: than what we were willing to settle for. And ultimately
- 1:18:15Speaker 10: one of them with the biggest coverage decided to pay,
- 1:18:18Speaker 10: and then they would go after one with the smaller
- 1:18:20Speaker 10: coverage to get what they believe was the percentage that
- 1:18:23Speaker 10: that insurance company owed.
- 1:18:24Speaker 9: Wow.
- 1:18:24Speaker 10: So but for years it went on where they delayed
- 1:18:27Speaker 10: things and you know, just kept arguing over who's for
- 1:18:30Speaker 10: Hugo's first.
- 1:18:30Speaker 3: How long did it take to get the settled?
- 1:18:32Speaker 10: I think about three years, it three years, two to
- 1:18:34Speaker 10: three I'm trying to remember back two to three years.
- 1:18:36Speaker 10: It was obviously fault wasn't the issue here. It was
- 1:18:39Speaker 10: just who was responsible for paying the bill? Right, Fault
- 1:18:42Speaker 10: was not the issue.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: Yeah, never an issue that the.
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: Child was not at fault and his parents, you know,
- 1:18:45Speaker 10: they tried to well his parents, you know, they should
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: have been supervising him. Also, yeah, that's not the case.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: And that's not evidence based, Like what what particular entity
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: gets hit for more cash is not evidence base. It's
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: just based on the money spent on you know how
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: big the coverage is.
- 1:18:59Speaker 10: It's not necessarily evidence based. It's Uh, that's interesting and
- 1:19:03Speaker 10: one of the one of the things in this case
- 1:19:05Speaker 10: I really should to bring it up for folks that
- 1:19:07Speaker 10: have these kind of utility vehicles is if the person
- 1:19:11Speaker 10: is under sixteen, it has to be with the supervision
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: of an adult operating in the vehicle. If the person
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: operating it is under six sixteen or under, they must
- 1:19:20Speaker 10: have a complete approved safety course for operating utility vehicle.
- 1:19:24Speaker 10: Every person on that utility vehicles must must have an
- 1:19:27Speaker 10: approved safety helmet. And uh, there's only allowed You're only
- 1:19:32Speaker 10: allowed to have one operator and one passenger. In this
- 1:19:35Speaker 10: there were two kids in the bed, there's only one.
- 1:19:38Speaker 10: There's only two seat belts, and you know, it was
- 1:19:40Speaker 10: just a mess they got. It was so clear that
- 1:19:43Speaker 10: this was just so bad.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: They got unbelievably lucky he just broke his leg then,
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: I mean, it really could have been tragic for or
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: any other kids hurt.
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: None of the other kids were bad because he was
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: in the passenger seat. And yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: Wow yeah, wow wow wow wow. Did the single mom
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: get hit?
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: Single mom? Not really? I mean her insurance paid a
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: little bit amount. Whey that was there and that was
- 1:20:08Speaker 10: the end of it.
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: Yeah, that was it for them. Yeah wow, really incredible case. Man.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: So does any of this apply to motorcycles or is
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: it just UTV's How do insurance separate them? Because that's
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: interesting because because again that's another vehicle accessible by young people.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: I know that my son wanted a motorcycle. I had
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: a motorcycle when I was younger, So does that apply
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: to that as well? Well, there's not your rules for motorcycles,
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: and you kind of, you know, make sure you're buying
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: the by all the rules. I don't know what they
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: all are. Driver's license. I don't think you have to
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: have a driver's license for the UTV, right right. And
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: you don't have to have a helmet. I mean that's crazy. Yeah,
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: you don't have to have a helmet. And that's really
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: about it.
- 1:20:42Speaker 10: For motorcycles as far as I can think that, you
- 1:20:44Speaker 10: have to have a licensesea that's crazy, right.
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: This is exactly like the movie Reservoir Dogs. Oh really,
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: where five things are at the end of nail on
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: the hook. It's above, it's above all of us. Jack's
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: with me, Who's with me?
- 1:20:59Speaker 6: Well?
- 1:21:00Speaker 10: Good?
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: Anybody? Great case they do? For real?
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: This is awesome. And again, if you out there and
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: you find yourself in a situation where you've been in
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: a crash, excuse me, you've had a situation like this
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: happened obviously Glenn can give you all these great answers.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: This is very complicated stuff. You heard him say it yourself.
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: Three years it took to work this out. So if
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: you need somebody that comprehensively looks at everything. And by
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: the way, Glenn has helped Ross. Glenn has helped Jack,
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: let us help me. Glenn has helped my stepdad or
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: my father in law, and everybody in between.
- 1:21:26Speaker 3: My next door neighbor, next door.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: Neighbor, Ross's wife, I mean, everybody in these rooms has
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: been helped out by the great knowledge that mister Klosman
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: has here and it can help you in your family
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: as well. And the cool thing is, I will tell
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: you straight up, you know what your my favorite thing
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: about dealing with you is do you know I've never
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: told you.
- 1:21:42Speaker 10: This gook is all right? What do you think it
- 1:21:44Speaker 10: is that I pick up the phone to talk to
- 1:21:46Speaker 10: your solicis when they call.
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: That's part of it.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: You don't bs, You don't waste anybody's time. I like
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: the fact that you get direct answers yes, I can, no,
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: I can't, and I can't do it because of this.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: Here's somebody who maybe can. I like the fact that
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: there's no wasted time, no BS. When you deal with you,
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: you just get the answer you need and you can
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: move forward or you get information you can use to
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: move forward, which is what I love about dealing with you.
- 1:22:10Speaker 10: Yeah, thanks so much. And you know, there's lots of
- 1:22:11Speaker 10: stuff that I don't specialize in, and I do know
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: lawyers who do. And if you know, it's like, if
- 1:22:16Speaker 10: you need brain surgery, are you going to go to
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: a doctor who specializes in repairing hernias? I mean it's
- 1:22:21Speaker 10: you know, there are areas of specialization, and if I
- 1:22:24Speaker 10: don't do something, I probably know a good lawyer who does.
- 1:22:27Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: Yeah, you've been in the business a long time here
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: in the city, so again it's a closemon law that's
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: k l A U S M A in law dot
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: com offices right there on Winner Park Again. It's four

- 1:23:15Speaker 11: It for you.
- 1:23:15Speaker 20: So I worked there for my teens up to my
- 1:23:18Speaker 20: mid twenties, all the way up the head cook. And
- 1:23:21Speaker 20: while ninety eight percent of the food in that restaurant
- 1:23:24Speaker 20: is scratch made, it's all delicious.
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: It is horrible for you.
- 1:23:29Speaker 20: It's not healthy at all. Two of the rolls no honey,
- 1:23:32Speaker 20: cinnamon butter calorie equivalent of a big Mac.
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: No gratulations, everyone, get out here. That can't be true.
- 1:23:44Speaker 8: Hello.
- 1:23:44Speaker 6: Back to my heyday, guys, when I used to serve
- 1:23:46Speaker 6: tables and I had campers. I would give them maybe
- 1:23:50Speaker 6: five to ten minutes, and then I would start clearing
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: the table. Go back, clear the table, go back clear
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: their table some more until there's nothing on the table.
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: They're glad, are gone, that civil ware is gone, their
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: coasters are gone. You just got to give these campers
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: hint to get out, because I got to turn the table,
- 1:24:08Speaker 6: because I'm getting paid two dollars an hour to serve tables.
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: Every buy on tables.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: You're five o'clock. Keyword is rich r I c H.

- 1:24:31Speaker 2: get that money. Rich is the word good luck.
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: I'm Jim. There's deb Hello Jack Yo and Ross as well. Yeah.
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: I have a Ross thoughts coming up in just a
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: little bit trivia this hour as well at five forty five,
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: so stay tuned for that. Get a good question for
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: you today? Uh seven seven zero three one is how
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: you text us?
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: We lit a fire with that that free pre dinner thing.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: People were freaking out and like sending stuff from every
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: because yeast rolls came up from back in the day.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: Yeah you never got to Yeah, Chedderbae biscuits. You never
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: get to experience the yeast roll. Did you russ bit
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: that east roll's gone before you?
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I don't know. Yeah I didn't either.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: Oh no, man, a super gooey roll with that margarine butter,
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: that hybrid margarine butter.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: Reminder you're on team Chip. Yeah, he's taking this person.
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: I can still have, I can still admire. I can't.
- 1:25:21Speaker 17: I can't.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: But you can't argue both sides. I'm not arguing both sides.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: I'm just telling you there are other products. Look the
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: bread at the Francesca's we were talking about delicious. Yeah,
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: I just I like when it's wet bread. That's the
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: first thing that I did a bad well, just like
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: oily butter when it looks sweaty. We went to a
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: place they put out a little bowl of bread and
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: some olive oil. My wife and I. She takes a bite,
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: chips her tooth on the bread. No, it cracked her tooth.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: That is unbelievable. And so she haddy the whole meal
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: on the and like one side of her mouth. Constant
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: a lot of money to get that fixed. And uh
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: she holds it against that restaurant, So does she really?
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: And I like that restaurant really is it national chain?
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: It is not?
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: Oh really, that's even worse Mom and pop. When mom
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: and pop do you wrong, it hurts worse. I think
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: See, my dad chipped the tooth in a Taco Bell
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: burrito because what there was like a rock shaped bean
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: in one of them. No way, yeah, rot, get out
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: of here, shaved rock would We took my father got it.
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: We took my father in law to a seafood place
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: here in town. It's not a chain, it's a local place.
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: And uh know the guy know the restaurant, great reputation
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: and stuff like this happens, right, no problem in Mike coleslaw.
- 1:26:50Speaker 2: You know when you open up a jar of something
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: and it has that seal thing, do there you have
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: to tear that off? Yes, one of those completely intact
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: in the bottom of my coal.
- 1:27:01Speaker 3: Slow, I see that doesn't freak me out.
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: And what it was is it was a when you
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: open a thing of spices that has that seal. Somebody
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: obviously peeled that seal off and thought they threw it away,
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: but it obviously fell into the batch and it put
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: it in there. And when I called the guy over,
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: I showed it to him. This was the worst response.
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: And I knew this guy like I knew him. He
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: knew we were there because I knew him. And the
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: first thing he said to me is, oh, I guess
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: you want your wholemeal for free now? And I looked
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: at him and I said, what are you talking about, dog?
- 1:27:33Speaker 2: We just brought you over here, so this didn't happen
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: to anybody else. I don't want anything free from you.
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: And by the way, I've given you an asshole of
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: free advertising. You should probably chill out. And and it
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: was a really weird situation. Never went back. I've never
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: been back, never talked to the guy again after that. Yeah,
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: well you caught a stray. Well it was just wild
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: that he kind of flipped the switch like that, like it,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: and nobody asked anything. I didn't say any of this,
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: said heyn, just give your heads up.
- 1:27:57Speaker 3: This was in here.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: He paused, Oh god, sorry he paused and said it. So,
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: I guess you wants your whole meal for free now,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: And I'm like, no, dude, I didn't say anything like
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: that at all, So we will gladly pay for the meal.
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: It's worth paying for.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: I'm just trying you give you a heads up that
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: somebody in the kitchen isn't paying attention. And you better
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: be lucky it was me, because somebody may have asked
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: you to pay for their entire meal. I'm not gonna
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: do that. You didn't like getting victim blamed.
- 1:28:20Speaker 3: It was it was.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: It really was the craziest thing because again I knew
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: this Kuy it would be like Jack doing it.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: Ah, it was nuts.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: I literally just had him on my show, my primetime
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: kitchen show, not even three weeks before that.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: His restaurant, talking about the restaurant the hood nine yards. Wow.
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: That was wild, dude, all right, four a seven million.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: He knew it was you, right, he knew it was me.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: We called up and said we're coming out to celebrate
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Father's Day at your restaurant. He was happy about it.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: We brought like eight people with us. It was nuts,
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: all right, seven seven zero three one. That's how you
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: text us. I'm gonna go back and listen to old
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: episodes of Primetime Kitchen Break.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: You don't have to worry. I'll tell you immediately as
- 1:29:00Speaker 3: soon as we go to break.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: By the way, somebody texted and said, will you guys
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: please give us a list at some point of your
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: favorite restaurants in the city. I guess we talk about
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: these restaurants, but we only talk about them glancingly. Yeah,
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: and nobody can remember when we talk about them, but
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: we could gladly do that. I mean I probably have
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: like ten. You just named five Mound Dora ones and
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: I didn't write down Anny.
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you don't need to.
- 1:29:20Speaker 13: You know who to call.
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: Yeah, goh Sbusters.
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: But I mean Ross eats in a lot of different
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: places than I eat. Yeah, I mean he still lives
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: in town and I lived out of town for a while,
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: so I haven't been in downtown and eating out any
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: of the new places in a minute.
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: I haven't bought.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Clothes in years, and every time I go out to
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: a nice restaurant, I think I should buy clothes instead
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: of going out to nice restaurants, because I mean, I'm
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: this shirt ten years old. I mean, I'm looking raggedy.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: But you're going to nice restaurants, do You guys do
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: that with everything when you buy something for yourself, or
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: you buy something like that, you go to a nice meal,
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: or buy something that isn't tangible, you can't hold it
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: in your hand, and you always assign a value that's
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: for something that, Yep, you going to dinner. You spend
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: like two three hundred bucks on dinner, and you walk
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: out of there and like, wow, man, that could have
- 1:30:06Speaker 2: been a new this we need this. It could have
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: been that we need this, It could have been that.
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that would have been the water.
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: But for some strange reason, dinner is the most guilt
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: free of money that I spend. And I could also
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: argue it might be the most wasteful. Yeah, I was
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: gonna say it should be the most guilty you spent,
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: because I mean, I'll tell you this, Like so the
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: Apple card thing. You can go back on your Apple
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: card and it shows you, like with the color of
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: the card where you spend your money.
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: Each color represents something differently.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: And when I went back a month ago and looked
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: at how much money we spent on food, I could
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: not believe it. Like I couldn't. You don't think about
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: it because you're just you know, you're just going out
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: to eat, you know, you come home, you have to eat,
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: You go home, and then you look at it and
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: you just can't believe how much money you spend on it.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: I think this is really what it is.
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: I think it's so easy for me to be guilt
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: free about going out to dinner and spending like not
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: cheap money on food, but not spending any other money
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: on virtually anything else for myself.
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: Is because you have to eat, well, yeah, I know you,
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: but you don't have to eat there. Yeah, that's for sure.
- 1:31:10Speaker 3: You don't eat there.
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: You can have a twenty dollars meal at home or
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty dollars meal out right. Yeah yeah,
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: I get that. But like I don't need to wear
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: or go out shopping. I want to, but I need
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: to eat food. So then all of a sudden, I'm like,
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: well if I need to eat food, yeah yeah, Well,
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: I mean every time you got about debt, but every
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: time I walk out of a restaurant, I spend like
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: tw hundred and fifty three undred bucks, I'm like, that's
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: a three wood you know, that's that's a hybrid.
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: I need. I think the same thing.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: I know you don't think that, do you do you
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: do you apply that to anything else? Like you you
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: guys go out and have a nice meal or do
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: something that isn't tangible. You can't hold it in your hand.
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: And you apply that money value to something that you
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: think you need around the house.
- 1:31:49Speaker 9: Not really, Yeah, yeah, not really, because I mean needs
- 1:31:53Speaker 9: and wants.
- 1:31:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: And by the way, that's good for you. By the way,
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: when you go you out and do stuff for yourself
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: like that, it actually makes yourself.
- 1:32:00Speaker 9: When are you going to go and finally get that
- 1:32:02Speaker 9: three wood or that driver you've been talking about getting
- 1:32:04Speaker 9: yourself with the Apple cash?
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: I feel so guilty for buying stuff myself. That's the
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: problem I have. And that's a real problem. By the way,
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: I don't know how you get over that. Spend three
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: hundred dollars on that, But don't let me hear you
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: complaining about the next time you fill up your car
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: with gas. I'm not wasn't complaining. I'm just telling you
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: how much it was eighty six months.
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: How do you How do you conquer that? I do
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: not know the answer to it, but I've dealt with
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: it my entire life.
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: I think you got to do it I think you
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: got to desensitize. Yeah, I'll go driver for driver, Puss. Sorry,
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: that was aggressive. I just want to get the most
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: out of you, and I figured I might get the
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: old baseball ways out of it.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: And look, here's the thing.
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: Obviously, you can you know, I can afford to go
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: get a new driver and a new three wood and
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: stuff like that. I just feel guilty spending money on myself.
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: And I do not understand that mentality. I do not
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: get it. I do not know where it comes from.
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: We I shop at thrift stores for my clothes the
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: same money or well, I mean we were, I mean
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: you were. We grew up humbly. It wasn't like poor.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: We knew people were way more more than we were.
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: I always had clothes and stuff, always food. Though you
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: were poor, but you weren't po.
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: No, I wasn't po. I knew. I knew a bunch
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: of poe people. I knew people without power.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: Yeoh, government cheese man. That's kind of the stereotype of bro. Yeah,
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: but that's not I don't you know, that's not really.
- 1:33:14Speaker 2: I mean, you know a lot of people that are
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: on food assistants listening to the show right now, that
- 1:33:18Speaker 2: have full time jobs.
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: I'm telling you straight up, that's the case. Yeah, that
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: is no question the case.
- 1:33:22Speaker 13: Forty nine percent of this country is food insecure.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: Yeah, man, so that's that's a different topic. But I
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: think a lot of people I remember my mom growing up,
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: just like working so much but still never getting ahead.
- 1:33:35Speaker 2: So there's plenty of people working full time jobs that
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: are still broke.
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Money actually, I think that might be a
- 1:33:42Speaker 3: whole different topic. Yeah.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: Well, I mean it really goes back to everything, like
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: like I don't feel I don't know, I just I
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: don't know what the answer is. But I have a
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: very difficult time spending money on myself. So let's uh
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: spend money on me, and I'll spend money on you.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: I for an eye can see what I'm saying. I
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: gift you the money and then you buy me what
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: I want. I mean, I wasn't even going there. I
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: also would like to buy a driver. I have that
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: kind of you know, in the near future, your driver sucks. Yeah, okay,
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: so I thought that was a little unnecessary. It's still
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: a name brand. But if i'll if you buy a driver,
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: I'll buy a driver. Do you make that promise with me.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: So whenever I buy a driver, driver, you have to
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: conquer your little weird insecure by a driver fear. Yeah,
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: it doesn't even have to be driver. It could be anything.
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: Like I have our time buying literally anything for myself.
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: Like I go into a PJ. Tour superstore and you
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: want to look nice on the golf course. You want
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: to buy like, you know, nice shorts and stuff, and
- 1:34:37Speaker 2: you look at a pair of golf shorts these days
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: are like one hundred dollars, and then the shirt's like
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: one hundred dollars, and I'm like, there's no blanking way
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: I'm ever going to spend two hundred dollars on a
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: shirt and a pair of shorts. It will never happen.
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: That's a smart man. Yeah, I know I agree with that,
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: but they call me cheap, right, Yeah.
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: But the thing is is like I can, like I
- 1:34:59Speaker 3: can go in there that It's just that I don't
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: want to because it feels so ridiculous to spend that
- 1:35:04Speaker 3: kind of money on stuff. But when I go to
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: the golf course, everybody I know that's playing golf is
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: wearing all that night stuff and I'm not, yep, and
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: they're all playing with brand new clubs, brand new drivers
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: and new wedges and all that stuff. And I don't
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: have any of that stuff. That's so unfair. You're right, Jack.
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: It's like when you do that, everyone calls you cheap.
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: When Jim does that, we're like, oh, he doesn't like him,
- 1:35:23Speaker 2: so all right, I don't know which one's worse, actually.
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: Four oh seven nine one six four one texts seven
- 1:35:30Speaker 2: seven zero three one. I saw a map today and
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: I don't even know. To be honest with you, I
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: don't know where this came from. But I'm going to
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: share something with you guys after the break that I
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: learned today. That is a basic thing that everybody does.
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: And I had no idea how limited an experience that
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: we have in this country is.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: I'll explain it fully next hang loose.
- 1:35:55Speaker 21: Got.
- 1:35:58Speaker 3: Jim, I've got the same problem.
- 1:36:00Speaker 22: Golf equipment and apparel is so freaking expensive nowadays, it's ridiculous.
- 1:36:05Speaker 22: But I've worked in the golf industry my entire life,
- 1:36:08Speaker 22: and I'll tell you what, I've gotten free clubs for years.
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: How do you do it?
- 1:36:13Speaker 22: If I wasn't working in golf, there'd be no way
- 1:36:15Speaker 22: I would be paying this amount of money.
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: For clubs.
- 1:36:19Speaker 22: I say, we get you a staff field, get some
- 1:36:21Speaker 22: good callaway equipment.
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: But I'm down impressive in no time. Yeah, Calwi driver
- 1:36:26Speaker 3: right now.
- 1:36:26Speaker 7: Hey, Jim Frank from Illinois here again. Having grown up
- 1:36:29Speaker 7: white trailer park trash, I have the exact same feeling
- 1:36:34Speaker 7: when I spend money on myself. I'm now fifty six
- 1:36:38Speaker 7: years old and still not over it, and I do
- 1:36:42Speaker 7: believe it comes from growing up in that environment.
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: How do you beat it?
- 1:36:48Speaker 23: You're talking to Glenn about a gated community. I actually
- 1:36:51Speaker 23: live in a gay head community down here near Punta Gorda.
- 1:36:57Speaker 23: You gotta be gay, and your name's got to be
- 1:37:01Speaker 23: your name's got to be Ted.
- 1:37:02Speaker 24: We've got a lot of homeowners in here, and that's
- 1:37:04Speaker 24: kind of a wing wing joke we tell one another.
- 1:37:07Speaker 24: We were recently voted U Florida's number one boothing community
- 1:37:12Speaker 24: and which we're very proud of.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: And frequently you'll walk down the road and you'll hear people.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: Did they say boofing? They did? I think he said boofing?
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: One of my favorite talk packs and that way. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: it's not a bad one. The rich, by the way,
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: that is your five o'cuck. He worked r I c
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: H go to real Radio dot FM and send it
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: off for your chance of one thousand bucks.
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: Smoking back, I'm ginder dib Hello, Jack and Ross.
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: It's all true, all right, guys. So you know travel,
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: I travel around a little bit. You guys know where
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: I go, like cruse stuff, you know, on the Caribbean
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: a lot, right, And I was looking around today, just
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: looking for stuff to talk about, and as I did,
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: I stumbled onto this map here. And I knew that
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: in some parts of the world this is how they rolled,
- 1:38:04Speaker 2: But when I saw the map, I had no idea.
- 1:38:07Speaker 2: It was this much of the world. Do you know
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: what portion of the world there is that you can't
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: flush toilet paper? Whoa, Oh, it makes me see it
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: may feel like it's gonna be more than I thought it.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: And it was really something I never ever thought about
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: until I left this country. And really the first time
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: I had to personally deal with it was the Costa
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: Rica trip.
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: I wanted right now.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: See, I've I've not been anywhere where I had to
- 1:38:39Speaker 2: do this every time, even in the Caribbean, where there
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: are places where maybe you have to do this, I
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: never had to go. I was always able to get
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: back on the ship and it timed it out and
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: do what I had to do there. Uh, if you're
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: if you're listening right now, go to a real radio
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: DOFM slash watch and you can do Jim Corbrashore Live.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: And what I'm wondering, what you're telling you? What we're
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: gonna watch. So I'm gonna show you this map here
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: in a second, I'm gonna turnround and see it so
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: you can see it. And I want you to look
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: in the when I show you this map, you guys,
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: check out the screen here. The green portions that you
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: see when I show this map are the places on
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: Earth where you can flush your toilet paper. I have
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: a gas everywhere else you cannot you ready? Yeah, North
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: America and Europe right yep. In Australia and oh Australia
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: and that's pretty one. One area in South Africa. Are
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: in Africa, a couple of the island areas Europe and Australia,
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: New Zealand and that is it Canada. Those are the
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: only places on Earth where you can flush your toilet paper.
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: No idea. It was like that.
- 1:39:46Speaker 2: I knew there were some places where, well, the infrastructure's
- 1:39:48Speaker 2: a little wild. The pipes aren't like new, so we
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: can't do that. You need to wipe and put it
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: in the toilet paper, you know, put it in the
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: in the trash can. We had an area for that
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: and that's it, dude. I had no idea. It was
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: literally three coral three quarters of earth props to what's
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: the country in Africa? Yeah, they were isolated. They were
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: the only one. Yeah, it doesn't it doesn't really tell
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: me where that is. That is kind of wild, but
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: is the it's a bottom if you're looking at Africa,
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: it's like a bottom, right, but not quite all the
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: way down, like three quarters of the way down on
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: the right. They were very oddly passionate about it, you know,
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: they were like, no, we're doing this. When you were
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: in Europe, when you went over there for your trip
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: and stuff, did you have to do that? Were you
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: able to flush in Europe?
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: Everyone was flushing when I was there. When I was
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: in Mexico, give you an idea of how nice of
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: a place that, you know, all the hotels that I
- 1:40:36Speaker 2: was staying at all flushing. And I always thought it
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: was really funny that I could flush. But I was
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: also being told to not use the water. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: I mean that's common, right, and you don't drink the water.
- 1:40:45Speaker 2: It's alway bottled water for sure.
- 1:40:47Speaker 3: But usually I agree. I mean, I followed suit.
- 1:40:50Speaker 2: But I just thought it was interesting that we have,
- 1:40:52Speaker 2: you know, great plumbing in this hotel room, but I
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: can't use the water to brush my teeth. And by
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: the way, not all of Europe, Italy obviously Italy is
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: that it depends, like they have like the yellow spots
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: are like it depends, the red spots are. No, you
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: cannot flush your toilet paper.
- 1:41:06Speaker 13: I would imagine in Venice they don't want you to
- 1:41:08Speaker 13: flush your toilet p Yeah.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it's in Italy and I don't know. Those
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: other countries are right there, but like it's really only
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: northern Europe where you can do it. In the Scandinavian
- 1:41:16Speaker 2: countries you can do it there. Yeah, I mean, scott
- 1:41:19Speaker 2: all of the EU, I would think. No, it's not dude,
- 1:41:23Speaker 2: I'm telling you, yeah, just told Italy doesn't do it.
- 1:41:25Speaker 2: Italy has its toilets, Okay, they do. What what I'm
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: saying is it says here the old it depends, So
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: I guess it's from spot to spot and what they
- 1:41:33Speaker 2: do tell you is when you go to the nicer places,
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: those places have been afforded the ability to change their
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: plumbing so that the pipes are big enough to handle
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: the toilet paper. But a lot of those places do not,
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: and that plumbing is hundreds of years old. Yeah, there
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: is right there, because like you know, Italy's gotta be flushing,
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: right yeah.
- 1:41:51Speaker 9: I mean, well, it's not about not using the toilet ross,
- 1:41:54Speaker 9: it's about the ability to handle the paper products that
- 1:41:58Speaker 9: you put in it. So there's still flesh the toilet.
- 1:42:00Speaker 9: You just can't flush the paper products with it.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Text in it, says.
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: My roommate's family from Puerto Rico visited a couple of
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: years ago, but his brother, His brother walked out of
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: the bathroom with a handful of used put poo toilet paper,
- 1:42:12Speaker 2: asking where to put it, and dude almost lost his
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: lost his mind. He's a well, yeah, that's one way
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: to wake up the Carabas.
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: Yeah. By the way, Tanzania is it Tanana Hansannia is
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: the lone country on the continent of Africa where it's
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: okay to flush toilet paper. That's kind of crazy.
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: Not a bad life, though, I think I've done it once.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: I forgot where I was. I think I was in
- 1:42:36Speaker 2: Hawaii and I had.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: To do that. I heard like in Japan you can't
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: or can you? Japan you can?
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: It says you can flush, and oh it does Japan's
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: pooping in the year three thousand.
- 1:42:46Speaker 3: I'm not sure if you see what they got going? Yeah?
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: Well really yeah, Russia's in know, well, they're very old.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: Those countries are very old. You know what I'm talking
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: about Russia. It depends. The depends one.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: You don't want to be flushing, pat it's you're where
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: your where your family's from.
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh is that a no go there, no go no,
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: especially on the island.
- 1:43:08Speaker 8: Wow?
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: Really yea, yeah, what's that is that?
- 1:43:11Speaker 21: Is it?
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: Do they have?
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Okay, well, I'm asking what do they have, like a
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: special thing that you put or is it just to
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: you just put it in the trash can?
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: Covered garbage can. It's a coverage garb.
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: There's no like diaper genie or any machine that kind
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: of keeps the smell away or anything like that.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: No, but amazingly enough, it doesn't. It doesn't have that. No,
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: it's not that bad.
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, you got I was a little freaked out
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: about it before I went out, like worry, worried about it, right,
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: and then after a while you're like, oh, it's you
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: don't really think about it. Really, God, that would trip
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: me out. I don't know why. It seems like it
- 1:43:46Speaker 2: would be horrifying not to deal that.
- 1:43:48Speaker 13: Nah, it's so funny.
- 1:43:50Speaker 9: Well, something happened with the plumbing in my mom's house
- 1:43:53Speaker 9: and she called the plumber and she said, yeah, you
- 1:43:55Speaker 9: had to heat water up on the stove to you know,
- 1:43:58Speaker 9: wash my air. And the guy said, you not believe
- 1:44:00Speaker 9: how many people's homes I visit that when the water
- 1:44:03Speaker 9: doesn't come out of the faucet, they don't know what
- 1:44:05Speaker 9: to do, Like, oh really, they don't know how to
- 1:44:08Speaker 9: bathe their body with a bucket, a cup, Oh really,
- 1:44:10Speaker 9: a fifty five gallon drum when you need to bathe, Yeah,
- 1:44:13Speaker 9: you're going to figure out a way to bathe, Yeah,
- 1:44:15Speaker 9: even if you don't have the modern conveniences.
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: But I only deal with that stuff at camping. I've
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: never had a situation where I had to, you know,
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: wash out of a bucket at the house. I thank god,
- 1:44:23Speaker 2: I should say, But in camping, I mean that's pretty common.
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: You make a camping shower where you know it is,
- 1:44:28Speaker 2: you know, poke some holes in the out of a bucket,
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: lifted up and off you go.
- 1:44:31Speaker 9: Right, and on an island, when the water may or
- 1:44:34Speaker 9: may not come out of the fawcet, you have to
- 1:44:36Speaker 9: lean on your cistern, which is why everyone has a
- 1:44:39Speaker 9: rainwater cistern, because rainwater you can count on, right, you
- 1:44:43Speaker 9: can't count a municipality.
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: Wow, that's so crazy.
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: Why why did it seems like this seems like a
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: like a weakness of yours who mine?
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I you think this is like,
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:44:55Speaker 2: I can't say it's not normal because three quarters of
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: the world does it, So obviously it's more normal than
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: what we do, right, Yeah, and I we're the odd
- 1:45:02Speaker 2: people out in this situation.
- 1:45:03Speaker 9: I mean, it's so odd that people in this country
- 1:45:06Speaker 9: will use their toilet as a garbage can. So they'll
- 1:45:08Speaker 9: throw when feminine products they'll throw, when wet wipes they'll throw,
- 1:45:12Speaker 9: in Q tips, they'll throw in paper toweling. Zen's I mean,
- 1:45:17Speaker 9: it's such a difference.
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: Yeah, my son, we learned that lesson with my son
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: because my son obsessively for a while cleaned his ears
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: with Q tips and he would just throw them in
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: the toilet instead of the can. And I'm like, Bob,
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: what you're doing is is you're building a matrix like
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: a dam down there because these things are crisscrossing. And
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: sure not that's exactly what happened. You can't, but you
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: would not believe what it took them to clear that
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: line all the way to the sewer.
- 1:45:43Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: They were in my house for eight hours trying to
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: clean that because my son had put so many Q
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: tips down the toilet, it had created a dam and
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: everything that went down there stopped. And what happened was
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: there was just enough room for water to go through
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: after a period of time that when by the time
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: it would back up and we couldn't get it through.
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: The dude said there was twenty feet of toilet paper
- 1:46:06Speaker 2: and other stuff built up in the in the line
- 1:46:10Speaker 2: to be able to punch out going to the road
- 1:46:11Speaker 2: going out to the main sewer system, because that's how
- 1:46:15Speaker 2: long he had been doing it. WHOA along with every
- 1:46:18Speaker 2: other thing my daughters were putting there as well.
- 1:46:20Speaker 3: It was a nightmare.
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: And I was like, bubb of all the things to
- 1:46:24Speaker 2: put in the toilet needed no and I mean it wasn't.
- 1:46:26Speaker 2: I'm like, you can't put this stuff in the toilet.
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: This is what happens, and he's like, oh makes sense. Now,
- 1:46:31Speaker 2: eight hundred bucks later, I think you got it. Like
- 1:46:36Speaker 2: you if forced, you're down to do two in the ground, right.
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: Okay, So I've done that.
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: I mean because again we went camping, so I've I've
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: had no problem doing that because we made rudimentary toilets
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: before and did that. But I mean that was like
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: an extreme scenario. I couldn't imagine doing that in my home.
- 1:46:53Speaker 2: I thought the oddest part was, yeah, when you throw
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: it away instead of flushing and that that's oooh yeah,
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: that's a plot twist for good old American means yeah,
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: I would not. It would be very bizarre for me.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: And you know, again you said something about Japan's doing
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: it in the year three thousand.
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: Yeah, they got music and like light shows on their stuff.
- 1:47:14Speaker 2: Are there even bowls there? Isn't It just like basically
- 1:47:17Speaker 2: a hole in the ground and you kind of squat
- 1:47:19Speaker 2: over it in an area or something like that.
- 1:47:21Speaker 9: China and in France, oh really like the campgrounds and
- 1:47:25Speaker 9: stuff like that.
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: But I heard even in the main toilets. I've seen
- 1:47:28Speaker 2: pictures where you in there and it's like the stall,
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: and you in there and there's just an area where
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: you put your feet and then there's like a it's
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: not just a hole. I mean there's a little rim
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: to it, but basically it's a hole in the ground.
- 1:47:38Speaker 2: There's nowhere to sit or anything. You just basically squat down.
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: And I know that there's a thing called a squatty potty,
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: right that you can put over your toilet and gotta
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: get up there where you can actually squat, because that's
- 1:47:47Speaker 2: supposed to be the best way to do it. It
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: just raises your feet.
- 1:47:50Speaker 9: No, no, no, it raises That's what the squatty potty
- 1:47:53Speaker 9: is for our toilets, right, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: That squat potty is supposed to be easier to evacuate.
- 1:47:58Speaker 2: It's the best for you, right as you're compressing all
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: that down, that's what they say.
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I have listen, I don't have a squatty potty.
- 1:48:05Speaker 2: I just used like a really small Fisher Price a
- 1:48:08Speaker 2: little coffee table thing.
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: You go.
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: Frugal. Yeah, yeah, I'm making most out of this. We
- 1:48:14Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: It's cheap and it helps it helps, it does, knees up,
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: it helps. Yeah, yah, I mean I'm sure it does.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: I mean, science seems like I mean, that seems like
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: it would help. But I went to another place when
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: we went to Colorado, we went to the Stanley Hotel,
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: you know where the shining was, Uh that hole based
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: on the shining thing. He went to the bathroom there
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: and no, no, because it's so old, the bowlt the
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: toilets are really small. Have you guys ever experienced that
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: where you go into a thing and the toilets are tiny.
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: And that's a wild scenario as well, because you're like, man,
- 1:48:43Speaker 2: how do I do that without especially for a bigger fella.
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, Jack, one hundred percent. You're a
- 1:48:49Speaker 2: tunic away from Shrek stop four oh seven nine one
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: six one four one text us at seven seven zero
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: three one. And look some of the paper you get
- 1:48:57Speaker 2: even here like this, man, breeches are not good. Dude, dude,
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: I gotta show you. Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: With Japanese. The Japanese they.
- 1:49:06Speaker 9: Have they're like the Lamborghinian toilets. There's like a it's
- 1:49:09Speaker 9: a pod, isn't it. It can be But I mean
- 1:49:11Speaker 9: there's like a whole display screen like do you want
- 1:49:14Speaker 9: soapy bubbles? Do you want hot air? Do you want
- 1:49:17Speaker 9: a warm seat? Do you want really?
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, dude, It's like a Michael Jackson Janet Jackson
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: music video.
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: When it comes to their toilets, it is futuristic.
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: Well, I remember the one. The one thing I remember
- 1:49:29Speaker 2: about that is their public toilets were like pods, right,
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: and you'd step into it, you do your thing, and
- 1:49:34Speaker 2: then when you got done and you and the door closed,
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: it would wash. It would pressure wash the entire inside
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: of the of the bathroom. Thing like I had a
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: pressurized hot water that would sanitize and clean everything. And
- 1:49:49Speaker 2: then I'm also looking at some of their so their
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: traditional squat toilet over in Japan. Yeah, that's just in
- 1:49:55Speaker 2: the ground but also tiled up. It's almost like a
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: urinal that instead of against the walls, just in the ground,
- 1:50:03Speaker 2: and it kind of looks like a slipper. Guy says here,
- 1:50:05Speaker 2: my children are half Columby, and it's still a fight
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: with my daughter to get her to put the paper
- 1:50:08Speaker 2: on the toilet. Wife and my wife and her trips
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: to Columbia has almost ruined her. Nah that's a little aggressive.
- 1:50:14Speaker 2: But yeah, somebody said, my privilege is showing as if
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: that dude doesn't live in America.
- 1:50:22Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I'm fine with calling it a privilege. It
- 1:50:24Speaker 3: is a privilege.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: I mean, now, obviously we have the evidence like if
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: we are only twenty five percent of the planet that's
- 1:50:30Speaker 2: able to flush our toilet paper and the rest of
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: the planet does not, we are the odd ones out,
- 1:50:35Speaker 2: we're the outliers. And just because if we use a
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: ceramic toilet though, doesn't mean that it's not possible for
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: us to have a bad day. Do you think when
- 1:50:41Speaker 2: people come to this country that don't live in a
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: country that you can that they still just instinctively put
- 1:50:47Speaker 2: it in the trash can? Or do you think because
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: they're here, it's like a thing like, oh wow, I
- 1:50:51Speaker 2: get to flush my paper now.
- 1:50:53Speaker 3: Do you think they look at it like that?
- 1:50:54Speaker 2: I think it's a little bit of column a colum
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: b Yeah, you start bor at right, Yes, chack, I
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: saw bort. That was uncomfortable. All right, Rich, it's your
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: five o'clock y word, r I c H. Go to
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: real radio dotf him and send that away for your
- 1:51:09Speaker 2: chance at one thousand dollars guys, let m up and
- 1:51:12Speaker 2: cyber trivia.
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: Let's do that next product.
- 1:51:14Speaker 25: Since yeah, I'm boucom and Jamaica, we flush every team one,
- 1:51:18Speaker 25: so we're gonna mess her on with that. But work
- 1:51:20Speaker 25: in construction here in the US, I have to deal
- 1:51:23Speaker 25: with a lot of people, especially from Sultan Central America.
- 1:51:26Speaker 25: That's the first time I came across that. I hear
- 1:51:28Speaker 25: about that, to the point where you have some of
- 1:51:31Speaker 25: it's so ingrained in some of the Central Americans, especially
- 1:51:35Speaker 25: not even the Port of John there's still a choice
- 1:51:38Speaker 25: on the grown instid. I dropped it inside of that
- 1:51:40Speaker 25: the receptacle.
- 1:51:41Speaker 8: Sc damn what of JCS crew. My wife's Columbia, and
- 1:51:46Speaker 8: then we've been married for like twenty eight years. We've
- 1:51:48Speaker 8: been together for longer than that. But until like the
- 1:51:52Speaker 8: last five years, she would throw a tool of paper
- 1:51:55Speaker 8: in the in the trash. She had the mentality, you know,
- 1:51:58Speaker 8: but yellow, let it me a little bit brown, flush
- 1:52:00Speaker 8: it down. But I've been to Columbia. I get it,
- 1:52:03Speaker 8: like that's how it is. But she's finally become an American.
- 1:52:10Speaker 3: So I just second.
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: Instead of most truck stops, they have diagrams on stalls
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: to throw a toilet paper in the toilet, not in
- 1:52:17Speaker 2: the trash because people who come over for brother countries
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: get driving jobs and they go into the truck stops
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: and instead of using the toilet the way we use
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: it in America, they will throw it in the trash can.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: And I'm guessing the people who clean those bathrooms are
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: done with that. It's an odd part of the citizenship test, thougheah,
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: really yeah, that's unique, right, Rich, is your five o'clock
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: key working about ten minutes or so to get over

- 1:53:47Speaker 2: I thought he must still chase a game, all right, Chaf,
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: this is a real easy game. Buddy, got a questionnaire
- 1:53:54Speaker 2: for you. Four answers. One of these answers is not true.
- 1:53:58Speaker 2: What but if you can find that, I'll send you
- 1:54:00Speaker 2: over to see Jackie's got some stuff and maybe you
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: can pick out.
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: Something nice for yourself. Are you ready? Here we go, buddy.
- 1:54:06Speaker 2: On this day, in nineteen thirty four, the world's largest
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: pearl was discovered in the Philippines. That's right, I'll tell
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: you more about it in a second. Here are three
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: fun facts about pearls and one clutched lie. All right,
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: but we're talking about pearls, which one of these is
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: not true? Number one Pearls are the only gemstone that
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: comes from a living creature. Number two, Pearls are the
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: customary gift for a thirtieth anniversary. Number three, it takes
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: about one year for a wild oyster to form a
- 1:54:36Speaker 2: pearl the size of a pee or Lastly, wild pearls
- 1:54:40Speaker 2: are extremely rare. Only one in ten thousand wild oysters
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: produce them. Which of those is a lie?
- 1:54:50Speaker 3: Number three is the answer? Buddy you're with How long
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: did you think it was?
- 1:54:58Speaker 10: Honestly, I couldn't tell you.
- 1:54:59Speaker 3: That was a shot in the dark. It is to
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: shun the dark. All right, buddy, thank you, appreciate it.
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: You're a winner.
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: I'm gonna put you on hold. Chase is a winner today.
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: Anybody there? You go ill appropriate?
- 1:55:07Speaker 14: Yeah?
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: Yeah, very nice. Chafe to get it on.
- 1:55:09Speaker 13: The first one really chafed your ass, didn't it.
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: Pearls are the only gymstones that come from living creatures.
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: That is absolutely true.
- 1:55:17Speaker 13: I don't think of any others.
- 1:55:18Speaker 2: Yeah, pearls are the customary gift for the thirtieth anniversary.
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: You learned that today? Did not know that?
- 1:55:23Speaker 9: Probably because the amount of time it takes to create
- 1:55:25Speaker 9: all the pearls.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: How long do you actually think it takes for a
- 1:55:28Speaker 2: wild oyster to create a pearl the size of a.
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: Pee ten years fifty one hundred about six months? Oh wow,
- 1:55:38Speaker 3: about six months. That's why I said one year. I
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: thought one year was as believable as it got to be.
- 1:55:42Speaker 3: Just stabbed in the dark, it doesn't matter. And then
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: wild pearls are extremely rare. Only one in ten thousand
- 1:55:49Speaker 3: wild oysters will create a pearl. A couple other things
- 1:55:53Speaker 3: you may not know about pearls. Before we get to
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: the top of the hour, some Rosscot's coming your way.
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: What do you think the first cultivated pearl was created?
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: So what they do is he actually puts something in
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: the oyster so that it creates that what they call
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: I think it's nacre in acre, which is the layers
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: that the molusk produces the pearl with. When do you
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: think that first happened?
- 1:56:16Speaker 13: Eighteen seventies, nineteen.
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: Oh five, seventeen hundred. What eighteen seventy oh?
- 1:56:23Speaker 2: Pick one four eighteen seventy eight is the answer, Wow,
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: eighteen seventy eight. The most expensive pearl in the world
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: was actually the one we're talking about at the top.
- 1:56:34Speaker 13: Of this got to be a black pearl.
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: Okay, how long do you think it is? How much
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: do you think it weighs? And how much do you
- 1:56:40Speaker 2: think it's worth? And by the way, the story behind
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: this is one of the craziest things I've read this year.
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: Two and a half pounds one point six million dollars.
- 1:56:51Speaker 9: I'm gonna say, so you ask how much it weighs,
- 1:56:53Speaker 9: how long it is, I'm gonna say it's two and
- 1:56:56Speaker 9: a half inches long. I don't know what that would weigh,
- 1:57:01Speaker 9: but I'm gonna save five point two million.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: And then how many pounds do you think or whatever
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: you for? Okay, very nice Jack? What do you think buddy?
- 1:57:09Speaker 2: Five across to the board? Five across the board? Yeah,
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: twenty three inches long. It weighed seventy five pounds. Wow,
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: and it was. It's now currently worth one hundred million dollars.
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: I think, what the hell nailed Oo?
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: Okay, so check this out. Well, if Malus created that.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: Look a giant clam, maybe I'm But the funny interesting
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: thing about this is this thing sat under a farmer's
- 1:57:32Speaker 2: bed for years and it only was discovered when the
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: house burned down. If I remember reading the story right,
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: it is crazy how this thing kind of came about
- 1:57:41Speaker 2: because it was found and then disappeared and then found again.
- 1:57:44Speaker 3: If I remember reading it, it.
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: Was a Filipino fisherman. Yeah, yeah, wow, what story? How
- 1:57:50Speaker 2: about this? And then lastly here, at one point in history,
- 1:57:53Speaker 2: pearl diving was the most one of the most dangerous
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: jobs in the world. What was the mortality rate for
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: an oyster diver? Pearl diver? Three percent? They would die
- 1:58:04Speaker 2: three percent? Three percent of them.
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: Sevent mortality right, fifty percent is the answer.
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: Half half of the pearl divers that we're working in
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: that era when that was going on, would die. Yeah,
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: you dead now, yeah exactly.
- 1:58:19Speaker 9: What's so cool though, is that something that started off
- 1:58:22Speaker 9: aggravating the oyster and like being something beautiful?
- 1:58:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right.
- 1:58:27Speaker 2: And looking at the photo of the world's biggest pearl
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: pretty disappointing. Yeah, yeah, it's not pretty. It looks like
- 1:58:33Speaker 2: a giant like ugly tear drop or snot drop, doesn't it.
- 1:58:36Speaker 2: It looks like yeah, yeah, it's like a giant snot
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: drop is what it looks like.
- 1:58:41Speaker 9: I want to know the mollusk that created it.
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: It's got to be a giant clam or something, right.
- 1:58:45Speaker 3: Oysters don't get that big, do.
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: They It's it is massive, but it's also not a ball.
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: It's very tumorish. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. And you know
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: they say that the natural pearls when you get them,
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: I mean, they're they're the shape they are, right, They're
- 1:58:58Speaker 2: extremely valuable even now, and it's kind of wild. Pearls
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: are back now, but not for girls, like dudes are
- 1:59:02Speaker 2: wearing them. I thought pearls always came in spheres. No, no, no,
- 1:59:07Speaker 2: they have tear teardrops and a bunch of different colors.
- 1:59:10Speaker 9: To freshwater pearls are going to be more likely to
- 1:59:12Speaker 9: have a kind of an oblong shape, whereas the cultivated
- 1:59:16Speaker 9: pearls you'll get that perfectly round sphere.
- 1:59:19Speaker 3: Yeah, because I guess what's the freshwater mollusk that makes them?
- 1:59:23Speaker 9: I don't know, but I know when I was graduating
- 1:59:25Speaker 9: high school that was a traditional gift. So you take
- 1:59:28Speaker 9: your graduating photos with your new pearl necklace, your earrings.
- 1:59:32Speaker 3: That was do you have them?
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: Aren't they always associated with older women, but now they're
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: kind of more fashionable for younger people, aren't they.
- 1:59:38Speaker 9: I mean, now I'm an older woman, but beck when
- 1:59:40Speaker 9: I was graduating high school, it was just kind of
- 1:59:42Speaker 9: considered one of those first truly lady like gifts that
- 1:59:46Speaker 9: you received.
- 1:59:46Speaker 3: Am I right there. Dudes are wearing these things now, Like.
- 1:59:49Speaker 9: I think Harry Styles was wearing pearls with a really
- 1:59:52Speaker 9: cute sweater.
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: If you consider pop stars to be regular people, yeah, never,
- 1:59:57Speaker 2: I know. It's I mean sometimes you'll see dudes in
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: those these guys doing stuff and they'll they'll mimic it,
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: and you know, bros want to do stuff that is
- 2:00:03Speaker 2: like really out of the box. I could rock a
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: black pearl. I think black pearls are cooler, yeah than
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: white pearls. And that's not the obvious joke that I'm
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: like butt to pinch that.
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: Yeah thoughts. Yeah, what a great way to segue into that.
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: It was my brother's birthday, and we're not going to
- 2:00:27Speaker 2: be talking about my brother's birthday for the entire segment,
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: but we are going to be talking about birthdays, and
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: specifically I came across you said that that pearl story
- 2:00:39Speaker 2: just was like craziest thing you've read. I heard one
- 2:00:42Speaker 2: of the craziest Snapple facts. Well Snapple fact as it's
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: like you open it up, you're just trying to get
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: orange juice. And then you absorb knowledge instead of just
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: vitamin C. Right, I came across one of those Snapple facts.
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: It is still it. Doesn't you ever come across the fact.
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: You're like, it's just not true, it can't be true,
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: and then every time you research it, it just turns
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: out to be even more true. I cannot wait to
- 2:01:06Speaker 2: hear that I love something. It's an unbelievable fact that.
- 2:01:09Speaker 2: Trust me, you're not gonna believe it either. Right after
- 2:01:12Speaker 2: the break, Rostots all right for a seven nine four
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: one texts seven seven zero three one, got a keywork
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: for you now.
- 2:01:17Speaker 3: And Rostot's on the other side of this break at work.
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: Just pretend you're on a zoom call with us the
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: Jim Colbert Show on YouTube.
- 2:01:26Speaker 3: Subscribe and watch, Hey.
- 2:01:33Speaker 19: There, Colbert crew. Rob here from Florida's served by cash
- 2:01:36Speaker 19: per use. Just wondering about the the portions of the
- 2:01:40Speaker 19: world where you can't flush the toilet paper. And I
- 2:01:43Speaker 19: mean in developed countries, not you know, third world type situations.
- 2:01:47Speaker 19: But in these places if you can't flush the toilet paper,
- 2:01:50Speaker 19: have they really developed the days and everything like that?
- 2:01:54Speaker 19: You know, maybe that's that's what's unusual to the rest
- 2:01:56Speaker 19: of the world. The fact that we're still using paper. Well,
- 2:01:59Speaker 19: they've got the day. They're taking care of business. What
- 2:02:02Speaker 19: do you think.
- 2:02:04Speaker 3: Guess was from Tanzania, your boy, bro.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: They use a lot of they have intual, a good
- 2:02:09Speaker 2: toilet system, and they use a lot of badas.
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: So yep, there you go, thanks by.
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: Thanks by. I think I think Fayaz is from Tanzania.
- 2:02:18Speaker 13: Yes he is.
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I thought he was Canadian. Well, I mean
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: he is Canadian, but I think va Tanzania. There you go,
- 2:02:28Speaker 2: all right for seven nine one, six four one. Don't
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: forget your six o'clock. Heyword is fun if you in
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: go over to real radio don f M and send
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: them off or your chance at one thousand bucks out
- 2:02:37Speaker 2: of winter yesterday this hour, let's get another one. Fun
- 2:02:39Speaker 2: is the word, guys, go get that money on Jim.
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: There's deb hello and Ross has some thoughts.
- 2:02:44Speaker 3: Let's get him. It's weird brought to you by Mills
- 2:02:48Speaker 3: Are Funny. Sometimes just had them stop by.
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: Coming to a cross spelled like sauce.
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: It's Ross thoughts. Ross thoughts is brought to you by Mills.
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: Are you don't know about Mills Air That's because maybe
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: you just moved to our Lando. Well, let me introduce you.
- 2:03:05Speaker 2: They're the greatest AC company all of Central Florida's history.
- 2:03:09Speaker 3: So good. They've been doing it for multiple decades. They've
- 2:03:11Speaker 3: helped me out.
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: They can help you out if you have any questions,
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: any needs. When it comes to AC Mills, air is
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: the plug. And you know, I was in my perfectly
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: air conditioned home right before I left with my brother
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: to go celebrate his birthday. And uh, you know, for birthdays,
- 2:03:31Speaker 2: I always try to like find something a little interesting
- 2:03:35Speaker 2: nugget of stuff.
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: How much older is he than you? He is six
- 2:03:38Speaker 3: years six years old? Okay, go ahead, six years And uh,
- 2:03:41Speaker 3: while I was, you know, it was on my brother's birthday,
- 2:03:44Speaker 3: I found out something called the birthday problem. It's also
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: called the birthday paradox. Not heard this.
- 2:03:51Speaker 2: Do me a favor, Jim, because I don't want to
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: be the person who sounds completely wrong, Okay, saying on
- 2:04:00Speaker 2: this platform we call real Radio one oh four one,
- 2:04:03Speaker 2: because this is the most insane, unbelievable thing that I've heard.
- 2:04:07Speaker 2: I've heard some crazy sports stats. Do me a favor.
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: I want you to look up a birthday problem or yeah,
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: birthday paradig I think, Uh yeah, I think both of
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: them should pop up. Like, here's a stat that I
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: recently heard I think I just shared it is that
- 2:04:23Speaker 2: all of Lebron's career, he's averaged twenty seven, seven and seven.
- 2:04:27Speaker 2: Not once in his twenty year career has he ever
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: had the score line of twenty seven, seven and seven,
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: which is insane. Yeah, I just love these facts. Birthday problem.
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: Did you guys find it?
- 2:04:38Speaker 3: Yeah? I have it right here in front of me.
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: Say it a birthday paradox states And in a group
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: of just twenty three people, there's over a fifty chance
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: that at least two individuals share the same birthday. Oh wow,
- 2:04:51Speaker 2: is that even remotely close to believable? Or am I
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: an idiot? Okay, so we can both be true the
- 2:04:59Speaker 2: men I thought of this, I immediately know that there's somebody
- 2:05:03Speaker 2: in my group of people that has my birthday. Now
- 2:05:05Speaker 2: it's just one that I know of, but definitely know
- 2:05:09Speaker 2: one person in my group of friends that has my
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: birthday same date, not the same date, the same day
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: and month. That is insane to me. Once again, and
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: a group of just twenty three people, there's about a
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: fifty percent chance that two of those people share the
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: same birthday.
- 2:05:28Speaker 3: That's crazy. There's three hundred and sixty five days. Yeah.
- 2:05:32Speaker 2: Yeah, but there's also seven billion people on the planet. Yeah,
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: but they're not even caring about that. They're just about
- 2:05:38Speaker 2: of twenty three people in your group, right, talking twenty
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: three people at any given time.
- 2:05:42Speaker 3: I get that a lot of people are born on
- 2:05:46Speaker 3: the same day.
- 2:05:46Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question. Is there anybody in
- 2:05:48Speaker 2: the building that has your same birthday?
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: Yes? Anybody in the building it has your same birthday,
- 2:05:52Speaker 3: not that I know of in yours?
- 2:05:53Speaker 8: No.
- 2:05:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:05:54Speaker 9: Yeah, although my hairdresser used to share my birthday.
- 2:05:57Speaker 3: Really yeah, when he left and we're not talking about
- 2:05:59Speaker 3: him anymore. I don't think anybody in the building has
- 2:06:01Speaker 3: my same birthday. Who is it in the in the
- 2:06:03Speaker 3: building has your birth Summer in promotion?
- 2:06:05Speaker 11: Oh?
- 2:06:06Speaker 3: Really?
- 2:06:06Speaker 2: Well all right, so isn't too happy about it, to
- 2:06:09Speaker 2: be honest. Okay, the math are you don't like Summer? No,
- 2:06:11Speaker 2: I don't like sharing my birthday. Oh okay, it sounds selfish.
- 2:06:15Speaker 2: It sounds like you didn't like Summer. Summer is a
- 2:06:17Speaker 2: lovely person. So let's change the math, right, Instead of
- 2:06:20Speaker 2: what is it twenty three people in the room yeah,
- 2:06:21Speaker 2: twenty three people, yes, all right, ten people in the room,
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: twelve percent chance, fifty people in the room. What is
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: the percentage of someone sharing your birthday? If you were
- 2:06:33Speaker 2: in a room with fifty people, fifty pp.
- 2:06:35Speaker 3: And this could be random. It could have been at
- 2:06:36Speaker 3: the restaurant you were at that night.
- 2:06:38Speaker 2: Yep, it could be if I went out tonight to
- 2:06:40Speaker 2: Texas Roadhouse and I went into Texas road House and
- 2:06:42Speaker 2: there's sixty there's at least fifty people in there. This
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: is the percent of chance that at least one person
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: will have my birthday or two?
- 2:06:50Speaker 3: What one person? Person? I'll say twelve percent. It's got
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: to be higher than that, right, and he's going to
- 2:06:56Speaker 3: be higher.
- 2:06:57Speaker 2: If twenty three is the number of people that it
- 2:07:00Speaker 2: takes for you to have a fifty chance of sharing
- 2:07:02Speaker 2: more birth people, more people there goes down the chance
- 2:07:06Speaker 2: will yeah, yeah, I'll go sixteen to five.
- 2:07:11Speaker 3: All right. So you said sixty five sixty five percent?
- 2:07:13Speaker 3: All right?
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: So what'd you say? I'll go sixty six all right,
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: and seventy five percent? How about ninety seven percent? I
- 2:07:22Speaker 2: told you I came with facts.
- 2:07:24Speaker 3: That are unbelievable.
- 2:07:24Speaker 2: You're telling me if I'm in a room of fifty
- 2:07:26Speaker 2: random people, there's almost a one hundred percent chance that
- 2:07:30Speaker 2: one of those people will have the same exact birth
- 2:07:32Speaker 2: date that I do. Not not not year, right, just day,
- 2:07:36Speaker 2: just day, not year day. It seems unbelievable. Birthday is
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: the same day birth date? Birthday? Now, why would that
- 2:07:48Speaker 2: even come close to true? It made me double down.
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: I had to find out, like, how in the hell
- 2:07:52Speaker 2: is this even what is going on?
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:07:54Speaker 2: Because there are three hundred and sixty five days. I
- 2:07:56Speaker 2: mean that doesn't even cover like a fifth of the year.
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: Seven billion people. A lot of people are going on
- 2:08:01Speaker 3: the same day. Let's go. Would you find out.
- 2:08:02Speaker 2: I don't understand your logic here when it comes to people.
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but there's only so many There's only three hundred
- 2:08:08Speaker 3: and sixty five possible days. So yeah, you did.
- 2:08:10Speaker 2: You divide three hundred and sixty five and the seven
- 2:08:12Speaker 2: billion people, and that's how many people are born on
- 2:08:14Speaker 2: each Actually it's more like a and I found out
- 2:08:17Speaker 2: and I found out this, by the way, in this
- 2:08:19Speaker 2: little weird research that I was sober on my couch
- 2:08:22Speaker 2: doing last night, is that there's about a little over
- 2:08:25Speaker 2: twenty million give or take a million each way that
- 2:08:29Speaker 2: share your birthday on this planet. Wow, really that's wild.
- 2:08:34Speaker 2: I mean on the ballpark, that's average. Do you know
- 2:08:36Speaker 2: the famous people that share your birthday?
- 2:08:38Speaker 3: I do not. I think Robin Williams. God, this is
- 2:08:41Speaker 3: gonna sound so sad. I don't know if he killed
- 2:08:43Speaker 3: himself or had his birthday on July twenty five. The
- 2:08:46Speaker 3: famous people that are born on your day? No, I know.
- 2:08:49Speaker 3: Jay Z is born on my birthday.
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: And this is also where I'm at in my life,
- 2:08:54Speaker 2: and I have a hard time seeing myself not being
- 2:08:57Speaker 2: able to teach this to my son. But like everything
- 2:08:59Speaker 2: is numbers to me, probability and statistics in high school
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: absolutely ruined me.
- 2:09:05Speaker 3: So how many people are born on one day? Did
- 2:09:07Speaker 3: you discover birthday?
- 2:09:09Speaker 2: I believe it's over twenty mil Wow, I just look
- 2:09:12Speaker 2: how many people were born on my birthday? I put
- 2:09:15Speaker 2: in April seventh. It said, based on statistical averages, approximately
- 2:09:20Speaker 2: twenty two million people world wide share a birthday in
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: April seventh. And it's a horse race between who's more
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: famous between me and Russell Crow, both born on April seventh.
- 2:09:31Speaker 2: Neck and neck, neck and neck, Yeah, thank you, thank you.
- 2:09:34Speaker 2: So twenty three people in a room. Fifty percent chance
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: they share your birthday.
- 2:09:39Speaker 13: I have some pretty cool names.
- 2:09:40Speaker 2: Fifty people in a room ninety seven percent chance. How
- 2:09:44Speaker 2: is that possible? The only answer that I have is
- 2:09:49Speaker 2: people have birthdays on pretty predictable times of year. So
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: there are way more September babies than any other type
- 2:09:59Speaker 2: of baby because you're or you're.
- 2:10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you're doing it at the beginning of the year
- 2:10:02Speaker 3: or whatever. The holidays, yeah, Christmas, no one ever gets
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: turned on by the third of January. New Year is like, hey,
- 2:10:11Speaker 3: let's start the year out with them. I'm so hot.
- 2:10:13Speaker 3: It's December twenty eighth. It's literally what happened to me?
- 2:10:16Speaker 3: My son?
- 2:10:16Speaker 2: Are you ready for the top five most popular, most
- 2:10:20Speaker 2: common average daily birthday?
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: I will tell you something weird, dude, that you brought
- 2:10:24Speaker 3: this up. Now, I'm getting mind blown.
- 2:10:26Speaker 2: So when I pulled trivia every day, one of the
- 2:10:28Speaker 2: things I do is is birthdays, Like, you know, if
- 2:10:30Speaker 2: you're born on that day, I will feature that day.
- 2:10:32Speaker 2: There are some days that when you're scrolling, you can't
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: believe how many famous people are born on that day,
- 2:10:39Speaker 2: And there are other days where you can't believe how
- 2:10:41Speaker 2: few famous people are on that day just yesterday. The
- 2:10:45Speaker 2: only famous birthday that anybody would know is George Clooney's.
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: Everybody else is like a nobody. From my sources, My
- 2:10:51Speaker 2: sources say that the top five most common birthdays to have,
- 2:10:55Speaker 2: are you ready? September tenth, September seventeenth, September two, twelfth, September, nineteenth,
- 2:11:02Speaker 2: September ninth. Those are the top five days that people
- 2:11:06Speaker 2: have the most kids. That is so wild, man, that
- 2:11:09Speaker 2: is kind of crazy. You would figure also like during
- 2:11:11Speaker 2: like a Valentine's Day around that time, which would be February, March, April, May, June, July, September, August,
- 2:11:16Speaker 2: like you would think there'd be some November babies in
- 2:11:18Speaker 2: there too, But really, honest with you, it works with
- 2:11:21Speaker 2: late September as well. And guess what, I absolutely became
- 2:11:24Speaker 2: a dad because Christmas made me horny, really right? Yeah,
- 2:11:28Speaker 2: you know, it's cold outside, got a huddle up, candy canes.
- 2:11:31Speaker 2: They have the whole thing, red and white. Everybody knows
- 2:11:33Speaker 2: she was sunburned. I'm white. We held each other, it
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: was very pepperminteite. I gotcha, And next thing I know,
- 2:11:40Speaker 2: I'm a dad. Nine months later, what's his birthday? September eleventh. Wow,
- 2:11:45Speaker 2: so yeah, ful fills that stereotype. But now you know,
- 2:11:48Speaker 2: now I ruined your day by hearing allegedly a factual
- 2:11:53Speaker 2: fact that if you were in a room with twenty
- 2:11:55Speaker 2: three other people, you have a fifty percent chance, allegedly
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: that some one shares your birthday, not birth year. How
- 2:12:02Speaker 2: many people after hearing this are going to be so
- 2:12:04Speaker 2: tempted when they're in their bar the next time to
- 2:12:07Speaker 2: stand up and yell who was born on this day?
- 2:12:09Speaker 3: Just to see if this adds up. I'm gonna do it.
- 2:12:12Speaker 3: I'm telling you I'm doing it.
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: You got to go find out your birthday, bro. The
- 2:12:14Speaker 2: next time you have a couple of cores. Let me
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: ask you guys a quick question. I'm looking at the
- 2:12:18Speaker 2: famous people born on the same day that I was
- 2:12:19Speaker 2: born on. Tell me who's the most famous? Jay Z,
- 2:12:22Speaker 2: Jeff Bridges, Marissa Tome, Tyra Banks, Jelly Roll or Fred
- 2:12:27Speaker 2: Armison jay Z.
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: Yeah it's jay Z. It's jay Z, isn't I don't know.
- 2:12:31Speaker 3: Jeff Bridges pretty famous, but jay Z's probably the bit all.
- 2:12:33Speaker 2: Right, So it's not only me and Russell Crowe. Jackie
- 2:12:36Speaker 2: Chan also has a yeah, yeah, that's awesome, dude. I
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: still think I got him though, right by age or
- 2:12:42Speaker 2: he's like seventy one or two years old? No being
- 2:12:44Speaker 2: more famous? Oh no, no, no. Last fact, if you are
- 2:12:48Speaker 2: in a room of seventy five people, ninety nine point
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: nine chance that is so crazy. That sounds like I
- 2:12:56Speaker 2: know that it rules out half of the calendar, and
- 2:12:59Speaker 2: so wild that it even happen. Someone texted it says,
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: you're misrepresenting the premise of this and it's crucial.
- 2:13:05Speaker 3: Well what's the crucial? I guess we'll find out when
- 2:13:08Speaker 3: we get back. Oh, is that what's gonna happen? He's
- 2:13:10Speaker 3: gonna call him? Well that.
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: Let me just ruin your Google history. Look up the
- 2:13:14Speaker 2: birthday problem, look up the birthday paradox. It's a whole
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: bunch of probability and statistics.
- 2:13:21Speaker 3: But what I gather from is that we maybe aren't
- 2:13:24Speaker 3: as special as we once thought. What's your birthday again?
- 2:13:28Speaker 3: July twenty first, July twenty first, Actually, ju I.
- 2:13:33Speaker 2: We're just we're just so bad at judging probability. I
- 2:13:38Speaker 2: think just as a as a species, you think, well,
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: I mean the average person. The mathematicians, they're like, oh,
- 2:13:46Speaker 2: this is what you gotta do, dude.
- 2:13:47Speaker 3: You bet you have some. You have some good ones.
- 2:13:49Speaker 3: You're ready.
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: Josh Hartnett, Okay, not the best example. Robin Williams was
- 2:13:54Speaker 2: born on your birthday?
- 2:13:55Speaker 12: All right?
- 2:13:55Speaker 3: Cool? Don Nutts, Which you have a little Don nuts
- 2:13:59Speaker 3: in you?
- 2:13:59Speaker 8: Dude?
- 2:14:00Speaker 3: Yeah, you got a little Natson. It's not a gay joke.
- 2:14:02Speaker 2: By the way, one of the most underrated SNL character
- 2:14:05Speaker 2: actors of all time. And by the way, cast members
- 2:14:09Speaker 2: and comedians also think this guy is one of the
- 2:14:11Speaker 2: most underrated members of SNL of all time. Joe Piscopal,
- 2:14:17Speaker 2: John Love. It's yeah on your day. That's right there.
- 2:14:21Speaker 2: You are the only one to survive the worst season
- 2:14:23Speaker 2: of SNL.
- 2:14:24Speaker 3: No know less. Those are your ross stots. Happy birthday.
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: If if it's your birthday coming up, I genuinely mean this,
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: go out and enjoy it.
- 2:14:33Speaker 3: Yeah, very nice.
- 2:14:34Speaker 2: If there's only one time of year that it feels
- 2:14:37Speaker 2: okay to love yourself, love yourself on that day. And
- 2:14:40Speaker 2: remember there's twenty million other people also celebrating a birthday,
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: so it's not that special. Don't freak out. Those are
- 2:14:45Speaker 2: your rostots. I'm out, peace right. Fun is your six
- 2:14:48Speaker 2: o'clock keyword? Fu in go to real Radio don FM
- 2:14:50Speaker 2: and send it up for your chance on one thousand
- 2:14:52Speaker 2: bucks back in a second with more than Jim Colberg shows,
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: say right.
- 2:14:54Speaker 3: There for.
- 2:15:00Speaker 15: Colbert crew.
- 2:15:00Speaker 18: This is Adam from Sanford and I was calling to
- 2:15:03Speaker 18: talk about the birthdays I have one I really don't like.
- 2:15:07Speaker 18: The most famous person certainly is that I share a
- 2:15:11Speaker 18: birthday with is Kanye West. But the flip side to
- 2:15:15Speaker 18: it is there's also a singer for a band that
- 2:15:18Speaker 18: I love, Yen's kidman of My Sugar, who I also
- 2:15:21Speaker 18: share a birthday with Sugar, And that's the one that's
- 2:15:25Speaker 18: gonna be my favorite.
- 2:15:28Speaker 15: What up?
- 2:15:29Speaker 8: Jayseys Drew oh Man, February nineteenth is my oldest sister
- 2:15:33Speaker 8: in laws birthday, my youngest sistant loves birthday, my son's birthday,
- 2:15:38Speaker 8: a good friend of mine's kid's birthday, And I think
- 2:15:41Speaker 8: I know like three other people with the same birthday. Dan,
- 2:15:43Speaker 8: that's crazy what that means nine months before they're all
- 2:15:48Speaker 8: Mother's day birthdays.
- 2:15:50Speaker 16: Oh wow, So you're in a room with three hundred
- 2:15:55Speaker 16: and sixty five people, it's one hundred percent true that
- 2:15:59Speaker 16: at least two people in that room have the same birthday.
- 2:16:02Speaker 10: I'd tell you square your head.
- 2:16:05Speaker 3: What's the problem with that.
- 2:16:08Speaker 2: I think it's actually it would have to be three
- 2:16:10Speaker 2: hundred and sixty seven people because you have a leap year.
- 2:16:14Speaker 3: Someone could be born on leap year. Yep.
- 2:16:16Speaker 2: So then that three hundred and sixty seventh birthday would
- 2:16:19Speaker 2: have to be a double for one of the other people.
- 2:16:23Speaker 3: Interesting, So that was it. The subtle thing we discovered
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: during the break.
- 2:16:28Speaker 2: Yes, and just to confirm is that it doesn't have
- 2:16:31Speaker 2: seemed it's just two same birthday, two same birthdays, not
- 2:16:34Speaker 2: yours in particular. Yes, y am, so a room of
- 2:16:37Speaker 2: twenty three people, fifty chance two of those twenty three
- 2:16:40Speaker 2: people have the same birthday, but still is just as
- 2:16:43Speaker 2: amazing it is to be yours, and it's still just
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: as amazing.
- 2:16:46Speaker 3: Uh. Fun, By the way as your six o'clock here.
- 2:16:48Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 2:16:49Speaker 2: Go to real Radio dot FM and send that away
- 2:16:50Speaker 2: for your chance on one thousand bucks.
- 2:16:52Speaker 3: Fun.
- 2:16:52Speaker 2: Guys, that is the six o'clock here. Good luck, hope
- 2:16:55Speaker 2: you win. I'm Jim, deb Jack and Ross are here
- 2:16:57Speaker 2: as well. I was just looking at Debrah's deb January sixteenth.
- 2:17:01Speaker 2: She's got some cool people she's bar world with. Okay,
- 2:17:05Speaker 2: out of this list, who do you think is the
- 2:17:06Speaker 2: most famous for deb Lynn Manuel Miranda, Kate, Kate Moss,
- 2:17:13Speaker 2: Sauda or shot A, John Carpenter or Aliyah? Actually unfortunately,
- 2:17:19Speaker 2: you know, God rest her soul and and Jack for you,
- 2:17:22Speaker 2: ethel Merman, I've gotta be more famous then, ethel Merman.
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: How about Albert Albert business like business Albert Bules, you know,
- 2:17:34Speaker 2: big time baseball player. So out of those, out of
- 2:17:36Speaker 2: those first five, and do you think the most famous
- 2:17:38Speaker 2: is Manuel Miranda is more famous than Kate Moss. Like
- 2:17:43Speaker 2: if you were to mention, if you were to go
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: into a room of one thousand random people and what
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: one to one and you said Lynn Manuel as opposed
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: to Kate Moss, you think more people would say Lynn Manuel.
- 2:17:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm going John Carpenter. Yeah. For me, it's John Carpenter.
- 2:17:57Speaker 3: Actually I told Devah Jimmy.
- 2:17:59Speaker 2: I was like, that's the coolest thing in the world
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: is John Carpenter is born on the same day as you. Wait,
- 2:18:03Speaker 2: guys like the you know, horror legend, You're a horror legend.
- 2:18:09Speaker 2: So it works out great. Yeah, but for worldwide recognition,
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: it might be Kate Moss. It's worldwide? Is it actually
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: probably shawt a. I mean she is a global star, dude, yeah,
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: global cap Moss really is very famous.
- 2:18:23Speaker 9: But it's it's interesting because Shada, you could say, okay,
- 2:18:25Speaker 9: famous in the eighties and nineties, Cape Moss supermodel era nineties.
- 2:18:31Speaker 2: You know, yeah, but you did you think that? And
- 2:18:33Speaker 2: I've got a little thing for Shade, by the way,
- 2:18:36Speaker 2: And that was just YouTube being some shot a shows
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: just to see how she looked and see how she
- 2:18:39Speaker 2: said is amazing.
- 2:18:41Speaker 3: She's sixty seven.
- 2:18:42Speaker 2: Years old now, dog, she looks still amaze balls And
- 2:18:46Speaker 2: you should have seen the crowd she was singing too.
- 2:18:49Speaker 2: There must have been twenty thousand people there and she
- 2:18:51Speaker 2: was destroying it. I got Horney immediately. That is baby music, dude,
- 2:18:57Speaker 2: Are you kidding you? Are you familiar with Shade?
- 2:19:00Speaker 3: I mean not to making love? Are you kidding? You
- 2:19:04Speaker 3: need to put some some on?
- 2:19:08Speaker 2: And I don't care what generation you're from. Shaw Day
- 2:19:11Speaker 2: is the I mean that is just it zips your
- 2:19:13Speaker 2: pants down for you. You don't have to do anything, You
- 2:19:15Speaker 2: just hold your hands up in there and your pants
- 2:19:17Speaker 2: just come undone.
- 2:19:18Speaker 3: Dude, I'm not kidding.
- 2:19:19Speaker 2: I haven't made too much love to too many songs.
- 2:19:22Speaker 2: What yeah, there hasn't been.
- 2:19:24Speaker 3: Oh my god, I don't have a soundtrack. Bro, I
- 2:19:26Speaker 3: don't think I have a soundtrack. I don't think I
- 2:19:28Speaker 3: don't have a theme song.
- 2:19:29Speaker 23: I have not.
- 2:19:30Speaker 13: Oh, Jack, what's your theme song? We know Jimmy's What
- 2:19:33Speaker 13: what is Jack? Do you remember Jimmy's seal?
- 2:19:41Speaker 11: No?
- 2:19:42Speaker 3: It's Enigma? No, man, you make love to Enigma? Have
- 2:19:46Speaker 3: you heard? You know the song?
- 2:19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's like massage, envy, waiting room stuff or
- 2:19:53Speaker 2: I mean it's good. I like it, but I'm not
- 2:19:55Speaker 2: what then? What is sexier than that? When that girl goes,
- 2:20:00Speaker 2: are you kidding? What's hotter than that? My back hair
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: just stood up.
- 2:20:05Speaker 3: I don't ever ever say it's gonna say show it
- 2:20:09Speaker 3: to me because it makes you hot too. Yeah, they
- 2:20:12Speaker 3: call it the bear move. Everybody knows. Everybody knows.
- 2:20:16Speaker 2: Every time I see jim swim, I'm always like, yeah,
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: it just reminds me of the Coca Cola bear, Like
- 2:20:24Speaker 2: I just want to drink of Coca Cola on Christmas morning.
- 2:20:26Speaker 2: By the way, Jack's song is the Dollar General theme? Yeah,
- 2:20:30Speaker 2: that's the jingle.
- 2:20:32Speaker 3: Do you have a Do you have a song?
- 2:20:33Speaker 8: Jack?
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: At one point in your life, do you put on
- 2:20:35Speaker 2: for sexyton Did you ever have something like that? I mean, yeah,
- 2:20:40Speaker 2: well now it's just like playing a channel on the
- 2:20:43Speaker 2: smart speaker, right, Oh, is that what you do now?
- 2:20:45Speaker 23: You know?
- 2:20:45Speaker 2: Do you how often do you do that? Like when
- 2:20:47Speaker 2: you're making love? How often do you employ music?
- 2:20:50Speaker 8: For me?
- 2:20:50Speaker 3: Not so much lately. It depends on what's happening. But
- 2:20:54Speaker 3: back in the day, dude, back of the day, why
- 2:20:56Speaker 3: is it over before the song? It's too unpredictable.
- 2:21:01Speaker 2: We're doing it now, so it's kind of weird to
- 2:21:03Speaker 2: go in there, go wait a minute, gotta do this
- 2:21:04Speaker 2: first because only got so much time dog in fifty eight,
- 2:21:07Speaker 2: So you gotta get.
- 2:21:08Speaker 3: In there and go.
- 2:21:09Speaker 2: And you can't give it any time to think about it.
- 2:21:11Speaker 2: You can't get you can't go, hey, we're about to
- 2:21:13Speaker 2: do this, and it's like, okay, I'm ready to go.
- 2:21:15Speaker 2: You say, hold on for a second, though, he's gotta been.
- 2:21:17Speaker 2: It's like he's already asleep.
- 2:21:19Speaker 3: It's already a sleep in the time I told it
- 2:21:20Speaker 3: to hold on, I'm gonna put on some enigma. It's
- 2:21:22Speaker 3: already gone.
- 2:21:23Speaker 2: I remember one time, I think I even told you, guys,
- 2:21:25Speaker 2: this is probably the last time I had intercourse into
- 2:21:29Speaker 2: a song was Uh, the song is called Saint James,
- 2:21:32Speaker 2: like infirmary or something, Saint James Infirmary.
- 2:21:36Speaker 13: I was expecting death, to be honest.
- 2:21:38Speaker 3: That sounds promising. No, No, get down to an emergency room.
- 2:21:42Speaker 3: Who's the guy that you do in impression of and
- 2:21:44Speaker 3: everyone else can do an impression of bad Bud? Yeah,
- 2:21:52Speaker 3: that's the Frogs. You're right, it is. I get down
- 2:21:54Speaker 3: to that too, then, yeah. Yeah, after all's Saint James Infirmary.
- 2:22:02Speaker 3: It's this song. It's haunting to.
- 2:22:04Speaker 2: Play that jack we have that, I would think it
- 2:22:06Speaker 2: might be in the system. All I know is is
- 2:22:08Speaker 2: that I'm pretty sure it's about like dead soldiers.
- 2:22:11Speaker 3: Come on, Why would you do it to that?
- 2:22:13Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 2:22:13Speaker 3: Well because it's a sexy sounding song.
- 2:22:16Speaker 2: What I don't have Saint James Infernory, but I do
- 2:22:18Speaker 2: have Saint Elmo's Fire.
- 2:22:20Speaker 3: Okay, that's that close, way different.
- 2:22:22Speaker 2: Well, like it's about a soldier like in a hospital
- 2:22:24Speaker 2: or something, and it's dark.
- 2:22:26Speaker 3: I'm not saying that. I'm not trying to make light.
- 2:22:28Speaker 2: Of it, but it's just like who's voice saxophone and sexy.
- 2:22:34Speaker 3: That's still not doing it?
- 2:22:35Speaker 16: That is it?
- 2:22:35Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, it's not that voice with saxophone makes it worse.
- 2:22:38Speaker 3: It's does it for me? Yeah? What do you guys think?
- 2:22:42Speaker 3: Debs is?
- 2:22:43Speaker 5: Oh?
- 2:22:44Speaker 3: God? Well if this is a good way because she is, man,
- 2:22:47Speaker 3: it's too much. Oh do you have one? Do you
- 2:22:50Speaker 3: have a song?
- 2:22:51Speaker 8: Mean?
- 2:22:51Speaker 3: Do you have something like that?
- 2:22:52Speaker 13: It would have been it would have been yeah, yeah,
- 2:22:55Speaker 13: yeah anything?
- 2:22:57Speaker 3: Yeah, so good. I mean there's one song. I kind
- 2:23:00Speaker 3: of want to have sex to you? What's them? I've
- 2:23:04Speaker 3: never done it and I hope she's listening. Well, this
- 2:23:06Speaker 3: is so easy to do. You can do it tonight.
- 2:23:09Speaker 3: Oh yeah, this is.
- 2:23:15Speaker 21: As for the birthday paradox, I share a birthday with
- 2:23:19Speaker 21: two friends, my aunt and actor Brent Spiner. We were
- 2:23:25Speaker 21: all born on Grund Hadden's Day. My sexy theme song
- 2:23:30Speaker 21: is gotta be Marvin Gaye's Sexual Human.
- 2:23:32Speaker 3: That's a good one. Hi, gang, love you Charles in
- 2:23:37Speaker 3: Melbourne here.
- 2:23:38Speaker 19: My wife just googled Saint James Infirma. It's about a
- 2:23:43Speaker 19: guy visiting the Morgana Hospital to view his lover's body
- 2:23:49Speaker 19: and exploring grief and pain. Does that make your horning?
- 2:23:58Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 2:23:58Speaker 6: It doesn't do much for me.
- 2:24:02Speaker 5: I have composed Haikub and honor of Jim Colbert.
- 2:24:08Speaker 3: It's called Oysters.

- 2:25:07Speaker 3: Yeah we just did that. Oh No, lots and lots
- 2:25:09Speaker 3: of fun. All right, dad, Let's get some news. Let's
- 2:25:12Speaker 3: get it good.
- 2:25:14Speaker 1: Time for you heard it here first on The Jim
- 2:25:17Speaker 1: Colbert Show.
- 2:25:18Speaker 9: IndyCar has pulled a shirt meant to promote the upcoming
- 2:25:22Speaker 9: race in Washington, d C. After receiving backlash. The cream
- 2:25:26Speaker 9: colored shirt displayed the slogan quote one Nation, one race
- 2:25:29Speaker 9: end quote and a.
- 2:25:30Speaker 3: Feature those things will be one thousand dollars apiece if you.
- 2:25:38Speaker 9: And featured a helmeted driver seated on the Lincoln Memorial
- 2:25:42Speaker 9: oh Man. The shirt was taken down from IndyCar's online
- 2:25:45Speaker 9: store within hours, and a statement IndyCar said the decision
- 2:25:49Speaker 9: was made following feedback from customers.
- 2:25:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, I love it.
- 2:25:53Speaker 9: The Freedom two fifty Grand Prix is set to take
- 2:25:56Speaker 9: place around the nation's capital in August to help celebrate
- 2:25:59Speaker 9: the Country Trees two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. All Right,
- 2:26:03Speaker 9: The youth softball community in Lake County is rallying behind
- 2:26:06Speaker 9: a family hurt in a car crash. Five members of
- 2:26:09Speaker 9: a Leesburg family are in the hospital after Monday's crash
- 2:26:12Speaker 9: in Vlusha County on State Road forty and Lake Wanona Road.
- 2:26:16Speaker 9: You heard about that tragic accident because three people in
- 2:26:19Speaker 9: the other car were killed. The Leesburg family consists of
- 2:26:22Speaker 9: a husband, his wife, and their three kids, ages eleven, fourteen,
- 2:26:26Speaker 9: and sixteen. Friends say the mom is a softball coach
- 2:26:29Speaker 9: and her fourteen year old daughter is a player. So
- 2:26:31Speaker 9: Robin McDaniel started to go fundme page that is raised
- 2:26:34Speaker 9: over fifteen hundred dollars for the family could be hopefully
- 2:26:37Speaker 9: even higher. McDaniel says, this family has shown up, given
- 2:26:41Speaker 9: back and supported those around them time and time again,
- 2:26:44Speaker 9: and now they need us.
- 2:26:45Speaker 3: What's the go fund me? I look that up. Look
- 2:26:49Speaker 3: for Robin McDaniel.
- 2:26:51Speaker 8: OK.
- 2:26:51Speaker 3: Yeah, look for that name, and that should lead you
- 2:26:53Speaker 3: to the Leesburg family. All right.
- 2:26:55Speaker 9: The NFL is planning to split former Monday night football
- 2:26:58Speaker 9: double header games between Netflix and.
- 2:27:00Speaker 3: YouTube Wow really yes.
- 2:27:03Speaker 9: CNBC reports The four games became available after ESPN gave
- 2:27:08Speaker 9: up the package as part of Disney's acquisition of NFL
- 2:27:11Speaker 9: Network So. NFL officials say the move follows fan frustrations
- 2:27:15Speaker 9: with overlapping Monday Night games. Reports say the league may
- 2:27:19Speaker 9: add another game for a major global streaming service while
- 2:27:23Speaker 9: Netflix seeks to renew its current NFL agreement. Disney officials
- 2:27:28Speaker 9: say ESPN has not yet opened renewal talks for the
- 2:27:31Speaker 9: primetime games, though its current deal with the NFL runs
- 2:27:34Speaker 9: through twenty thirty man.
- 2:27:36Speaker 2: Those NFL deals are some of the biggest money deals
- 2:27:39Speaker 2: out there. If you I don't know, if you've ever
- 2:27:40Speaker 2: researched what like what ESPN paid to be able to
- 2:27:43Speaker 2: broadcast those games. But I believe they'll liken some of
- 2:27:45Speaker 2: that money to the problems they've had and all the
- 2:27:48Speaker 2: cuts they've had to make, because I mean, you're just
- 2:27:50Speaker 2: paying so much money to be able to broadcast that game.
- 2:27:52Speaker 2: It's hard to make your money back, even at the
- 2:27:54Speaker 2: highest ad rates. I don't even I don't know how
- 2:27:56Speaker 2: they do it. That's why that math always seemed amazing.
- 2:27:59Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, you heard it here first on the Jim
- 2:28:01Speaker 13: Culbert Show.
- 2:28:02Speaker 3: Now you never appreciate that. You're welcome to whom do

- 2:28:15Speaker 2: another unit in the room we haven't been using, but
- 2:28:17Speaker 2: we're actually about to start using that room again, so

- 2:28:51Speaker 2: texts the show all the time. He only has positive
- 2:28:54Speaker 2: things to say about the show. He listens to all
