Hunter Brown dominated on the mound for the Astros, pitching into the seventh and striking out 14 Mets batters en route to a 3-1 win that lifted Houston above the .500 mark and extended their AL West lead. With the offense grinding out just four hits, Daulton Varsho’s clutch two-run single and Yainer Diaz’s RBI single in the sixth proved decisive.
