- 0:00Probably you might have heard somebody said that they actually
- 0:04worked in faith pertaining something and then at the end of
- 0:08the day, that thing never came into manifestation.
- 0:12You see, most times our inability to understand the
- 0:14subject of faith brings the different biases we see in it.
- 0:19And because of it, what we call faith in most cases is not
- 0:22actually faith. And I will make you understand
- 0:26that in a brief. So maybe in your journey, even
- 0:30you believed your hard faith about something.
- 0:32Probably you're believing God for a promotion, you're
- 0:34believing God for a financial breakthrough, you're believing
- 0:36God to win over some of the parties you're facing.
- 0:39And then all of a sudden it walked to your disfavored or to
- 0:42your disadvantage. And then you are in absolute
- 0:45shock and confusion, knowing fully well that you believe that
- 0:48if you walk by faith, then you're supposed to work for your
- 0:50own benefit. But you see, one of the things
- 0:53that has been, you know, missed out, I believe even in our
- 0:57generation and even in the previous generation is the
- 1:00subject of fit. And because of our inability to
- 1:02understand it, we tend to abuse that very thing.
- 1:05So when they understand of it and it's not understood, the
- 1:08abuse of that, it becomes inevitable.
- 1:10Because most times what we call fit today is not actually fit
- 1:14because Bible fit is not only on the premise of receiving a loan.
- 1:19No Bible fit is actually on the premise of oath receiving, and
- 1:24sometimes you may not actually receive.
- 1:26Let me explain something for you.
- 1:28You see, just the same way faith means you can pray for something
- 1:32and get an answer is the same way faith can also mean that
- 1:36your ability to lose something actually is a statement of
- 1:39faith. The Bible say that Moses forsake
- 1:42forsake all the pleasures of Egypt and he why?
- 1:46Because he was looking at him who was invisible.
- 1:48So Moses meaning abandoned his position to be a king in Egypt,
- 1:52abandoned everything he needed to the pleasures, the glory that
- 1:55came with it, just because of what in his positive faith.
- 1:59You know, there's some people that this scripture made a
- 2:01reference to and you'll see that it's not necessarily because
- 2:04they gained something, but because they in their journey
- 2:07with God, something much more was formed in it.
- 2:10And that is why we must not misunderstand what faith is all
- 2:14about because faith is not only receiving from God.
- 2:16Sometimes faith is also you stepping away from certain
- 2:19things. Faith means you've been able to
- 2:23fully comply with the instruction of God because this
- 2:26is what I'm talking about is Bible faith.
- 2:27I'm not talking about and decree and declare kind of faith
- 2:31because it's not entirely hinged on OK as I want money God, this
- 2:36this is a magic wand. Once I speak, I know you will do
- 2:39it. No, this a fit that comes by
- 2:42your obedience and that only participation comes only when
- 2:45you obey and you obey to the fullness.
- 2:48So in as much as we are exploring the dimension of
- 2:50course fit, we're trying to talk about fit and everything, we
- 2:53must also understand the scope of what fit is all about.
- 2:57So today you're hearing that faith does not just end in you
- 3:01gaining things. Faith could actually mean you're
- 3:03losing things. Faith could actually mean you're
- 3:05abandoning things and that is what is very important because
- 3:10most times we get disappointed again and again because we think
- 3:14God has abandoned us or whereas there's something God is
- 3:17building in your life at that moment.
- 3:19So it's not because he has abandoned you, but it's because
- 3:22he has been able to put you in a part of more, more balanced and
- 3:27more methodical method. For example, one of the things
- 3:30you need to even ask, what is it that you know Abel gained by the
- 3:35reason of his faith, yet the Bible says he was a man of
- 3:37faith. He offers sacrifices and because
- 3:39of his faith he was killed by Cain.
- 3:41Yes, his sacrifice was accepted because he did it in faith and
- 3:45eventually led to the demise of his life.
- 3:48So you see faith does not end on only what you gain, but faith
- 3:52also means you being obedient to the will and to the instructions
- 3:56of God. I believe this world is clear to
- 3:59you today and as you keep on going, may your faith is
- 4:02strengthened in Jesus name. See you next time.
- 4:05God bless you.
