- 0:15Speaker 1: It is time to leave your warriors outside and laugh
- 0:21Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Dan O'Malley, along with
- 0:24Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Today's Thursday, August fourteenth, twoenty
- 0:30Speaker 1: twenty five. Almost at the end of this week, I've
- 0:39Speaker 1: decided to bring back throw Back Thursday. If you can
- 0:42Speaker 1: bring something back that you were throwing back originally, we're
- 0:47Speaker 1: doing that now again.
- 0:51Speaker 2: All right, you almost sounded like Christopher Walking.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I wasn't even trying. So let's go back in time.
- 1:08Speaker 1: The year's twenty twenty. A marilynd Man has been charged
- 1:14Speaker 1: after telling his friend he had a woman for him,
- 1:17Speaker 1: but it was really him dressed as a woman.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So progressive.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, if one of your buddies ever tells you, hey,
- 1:34Speaker 1: I got a woman for you, I want you to
- 1:37Speaker 1: remember this moment inside the treehouse. Sean Lamont Brooks was
- 1:48Speaker 1: forty seven at the time in Lexington Park, Maryland. He
- 1:51Speaker 1: was arrested May thirteenth, twenty twenty and charged with a
- 1:55Speaker 1: fourth degree sex offense and committing a perverted practice. Were
- 2:00Speaker 1: telling his friend he had a woman for him, but
- 2:03Speaker 1: it was really him dressed as a woman. Court documents say.
- 2:07Speaker 1: In the winter of twenty nineteen. Sorry, whenever I see that,
- 2:11Speaker 1: especially in this story, all I can hear is it
- 2:13Speaker 1: was the Winter of our discontent. It was for the
- 2:18Speaker 1: white guy.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Oh.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Brooks engaged in sexual contact with an adult male victim
- 2:26Speaker 1: without the victim's consent and committed an unnatural and perverted
- 2:31Speaker 1: sexual practice with the victim. He is currently a registered
- 2:35Speaker 1: sex offender, and his previous crimes involved very similar circumstances,
- 2:39Speaker 1: wherein Brooks used his position as a hairdresser to make
- 2:43Speaker 1: contact with his victims. Look, if we're being honest, you know,
- 2:53Speaker 1: sex crimes, they are bad and they have victims, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: in this case, the old bait and switch really got
- 2:59Speaker 1: this one, dude, and I had to double check.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Hang on, listen, hey, Jerry, you ever set a buddy
- 3:06Speaker 4: up on a date.
- 3:08Speaker 5: One time?
- 3:10Speaker 4: Was it you?
- 3:19Speaker 1: We have a copycatter.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Sometimes you just want to high top fade and you
- 3:24Speaker 6: get something a little more, you know.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I really did. I saw the story and I was like, Okay,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I need to verify this as best as I can.
- 3:36Speaker 1: It was actually pretty easy quick Google search of the
- 3:39Speaker 1: of the man's name, and there did pop up a
- 3:42Speaker 1: story all the way back from the year twenty twenty
- 3:44Speaker 1: about the headline reads Lexington park man arrested after dressing
- 3:48Speaker 1: as a woman to have sex with a man at
- 3:51Speaker 1: Lancaster Park. What I was curious about is how detailed
- 3:58Speaker 1: do they get in this story? And from what I
- 4:01Speaker 1: can tell, it's pretty detailed. Would you like to hear more?
- 4:09Speaker 5: Sure? Sure?
- 4:10Speaker 1: Okay? Throw back Thursday. On December eighteenth, twenty nineteen, Deputy W.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Fornanash of the Saint Mary's County Sheriff's Office made contact
- 4:23Speaker 1: with an adult male who said he believed he'd been
- 4:26Speaker 1: sexually assaulted by Sean Lamont Brooks. The victim advised in
- 4:32Speaker 1: late September to October he got his hair done at
- 4:34Speaker 1: the Executive Salon on Great Mills Road by Brooks. The
- 4:37Speaker 1: victim said Brooks offered to introduce him to some of
- 4:39Speaker 1: his girlfriends that would be interested in meeting him, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: a few days later Brooks contacted him and advised one
- 4:44Speaker 1: of his girlfriends wanted to meet him and wanted to
- 4:46Speaker 1: give him all. The victim agreed and picked up Brooks
- 4:51Speaker 1: from the salon, and Brooks instructed him to drive to
- 4:54Speaker 1: Lancaster Park on Willows Road in Lexington.
- 5:00Speaker 4: That your first clue.
- 5:01Speaker 5: I was about to say, there's already some flags on
- 5:03Speaker 5: this play.
- 5:04Speaker 7: Well, I just like the way Dan reads it, and
- 5:08Speaker 7: it probably was this case. Hey, she wants to give
- 5:11Speaker 7: you and gotta ask any questions.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, let's roll, buddy.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Where's the salon.
- 5:20Speaker 1: On Great Mills Road. Once at the park, Brooks told
- 5:27Speaker 1: the victim to sit on a bench and said he
- 5:29Speaker 1: would go get his girlfriend. The victim said he watched
- 5:32Speaker 1: Brooks go into the woodline with a backpack, and a
- 5:35Speaker 1: few minutes later, what he believed to be a female
- 5:38Speaker 1: emerged from the same wood line and sat next to him.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's the fastest any woman's ever changed.
- 5:46Speaker 1: It's like Superman in a foam booth. I can't wait
- 5:50Speaker 1: to get this on. The victim told police that because
- 5:54Speaker 1: of how dark it was, he was unable to completely
- 5:57Speaker 1: see the person's face or perhaps feel the stubble on
- 6:02Speaker 1: his face. The victim said as the person touched him
- 6:05Speaker 1: with their hand, he felt as though this person's hands
- 6:08Speaker 1: we're a pretty We're pretty big for a female, and
- 6:11Speaker 1: he became suspicious that the female may be Brooks dressed
- 6:15Speaker 1: as a female. Victim told police the person began giving
- 6:18Speaker 1: him ah, I like, how, I like how the the
- 6:24Speaker 1: quote unquote victim is suspicious, but still is like, well,
- 6:28Speaker 1: let's see this through.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Twenty dollars.
- 6:37Speaker 1: As the person was giving him ah, he observed what
- 6:41Speaker 1: he believed to be an outline of a beard, at
- 6:43Speaker 1: which time he began to think the person was not
- 6:46Speaker 1: a female and in fact could be Lamont Brooks.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Or a Persian girl.
- 6:54Speaker 1: The victim said that's when he became scared and faked
- 6:58Speaker 1: an orgasm. The victims said that the person walked away
- 7:01Speaker 1: back into the woods. In a few minutes later, Lamont
- 7:04Speaker 1: Brooks reappeared from the woods, and the victim said at
- 7:09Speaker 1: this point he was still unsure as to what happened. Therefore,
- 7:13Speaker 1: he made contact with mister Brooks again and asked if
- 7:17Speaker 1: he could set up a second.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Meeting with the girlfriend.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Hey, the Jeffersons had two Lamonts too.
- 7:29Speaker 7: All I can see with this. Do you remember the
- 7:31Speaker 7: dating game skit on a Living Color where Jamie Fox
- 7:34Speaker 7: was dressed in drag?
- 7:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's all.
- 7:39Speaker 4: I can see coming.

- 10:09Speaker 1: tree House Show. There are still so many questions about
- 10:12Speaker 1: how it is you end up in the park with
- 10:15Speaker 1: mister Brooks. Mister Brooks goes to the woods and comes
- 10:18Speaker 1: back as what was the character's name on in Living
- 10:22Speaker 1: Color that we were.
- 10:22Speaker 11: Talking about, Wanda.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So Lamont goes into the woods and comes back looking
- 10:28Speaker 1: like Wanda uh services his uh hair client. Oh okay, Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I'm also beginning to question the statement given by the
- 10:42Speaker 1: victim to police, in which he says, in part that
- 10:45Speaker 1: he faked the orgasm.
- 10:48Speaker 5: I have questions about that too.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Lamont, doesn't I mean, what was he? Uh?
- 11:01Speaker 7: Either he did or he was hoping to? Because yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 7: most people would be like, no stop now. I think
- 11:11Speaker 7: most people would not have gotten to this point.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But do you really think they would be so adamant?
- 11:15Speaker 4: Tray or how you said like no stop now?
- 11:21Speaker 1: Yeah, talking about sounding like Christopher walking, Tray actually sounded
- 11:25Speaker 1: a little bit like Christopher no stop now.
- 11:32Speaker 4: Look at my watch. I've been hiding it for a while.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I can't believe you brought it out of me. Speaking
- 11:46Speaker 1: speaking of going to a park for a date, Trey, Tonight,
- 11:52Speaker 1: tonight is the big night, isn't it. It's Thursday. It's
- 11:55Speaker 1: time for your big night on the Dity Trail, the
- 11:59Speaker 1: thirty five plus Daty Trail event that you got tickets for.
- 12:02Speaker 1: M Yeah, are you in special prep mode? Are you
- 12:06Speaker 1: doing any extra moisturizing on your skin? Are you going
- 12:10Speaker 1: to break out a third loof of glove for the
- 12:12Speaker 1: for the occasion.
- 12:15Speaker 2: That is that.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's.
- 12:20Speaker 1: And then maybe save a fourth glove on the wall
- 12:22Speaker 1: of the bathroom just in case you get lucky. Yeah, seriously, though,
- 12:30Speaker 1: any any special last minute prep before you head out tonight.
- 12:36Speaker 7: Trying to not overthink it because I will think myself
- 12:40Speaker 7: out of going.
- 12:41Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Well that's good. I'm proud of you for that, because
- 12:46Speaker 1: at this point it's essential and mandatory that you go.
- 12:51Speaker 6: I give it twenty minutes. That's fine, that's that's that's
- 12:54Speaker 6: my thing, a trade. When he loses patience, it'll be
- 12:57Speaker 6: about twenty minutes in.
- 13:00Speaker 4: I yeah, I don't know how this one's gonna go.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I really don't.
- 13:06Speaker 7: I I don't think I've been this nervous since Katillion
- 13:10Speaker 7: in like fifth grade, where you know you had to
- 13:12Speaker 7: you know, you the boys are on one side, the
- 13:14Speaker 7: girls on the other, and you had to ask someone
- 13:16Speaker 7: to dance, and you just it.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Was very awkward. That's how I feel.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I am.
- 13:21Speaker 4: I mean again, it is.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Let's see, I will celebrate nine years of sobriety on Sunday,
- 13:29Speaker 7: and but there is the one thing where you really
- 13:33Speaker 7: miss drinking liquid courage, just.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Taking the edge off just enough.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But yeah, nine years of sobriety, and you have yet
- 13:42Speaker 1: to find a replacement for liquid courage.
- 13:45Speaker 4: There is none.
- 13:46Speaker 7: I mean, I mean, I'm sure that there is, but
- 13:49Speaker 7: it comes in the form of some other, uh substances.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's gonna come in the form of you
- 13:55Speaker 1: having to return all your chips again. I'm just I'm
- 14:01Speaker 1: happy for you, and I'm proud of you for going,
- 14:03Speaker 1: even if it only lasts twenty minutes and you turned
- 14:06Speaker 1: into the angry, you know, anxious guy in the corner.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm just glad you're going.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Can I make a prediction?
- 14:13Speaker 4: Sure?
- 14:14Speaker 2: Okay, I think you find the one?
- 14:20Speaker 4: The one?
- 14:20Speaker 2: What Lamont Brooks?
- 14:27Speaker 4: How was that to say? Neo? No, I think you
- 14:31Speaker 4: find the lady.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Hi, Tray, I noticed you in the corner. I know
- 14:38Speaker 3: your name is Trey because I saw it on the
- 14:39Speaker 3: name tack on your chest. My name's Lamont, but my
- 14:46Speaker 3: boyfriend's called me Wanda.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Wasn't Lamont also on Sanford and Sons?
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yeah, a big dummy.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Yeah No, I'm pretty sure that's where he his middle name,
- 15:02Speaker 1: because his because his full legal name is Sean Lamont
- 15:05Speaker 1: Brooks and he's forty seven, which tells you his parents
- 15:09Speaker 1: watched Sanford and Son. Therefore they got Lamont from the show.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Someone was a big dummy.
- 15:15Speaker 7: If I had any idea how an edible would hit me,
- 15:20Speaker 7: I wouldn't even be opposed to that. But I just
- 15:22Speaker 7: have no A few times I've I've messed like a
- 15:26Speaker 7: Delta eight or Delta nine gummy. It is all over
- 15:29Speaker 7: the spectrum on how it hits me, and so I
- 15:31Speaker 7: can't like.
- 15:33Speaker 6: I have some Colorado gummies and I would I would
- 15:35Speaker 6: give you like a quarter of it, so it would
- 15:38Speaker 6: be like five milligrams.
- 15:40Speaker 7: It's I have it is I said for sleep and
- 15:44Speaker 7: other things. I have messed around like with some of that,
- 15:46Speaker 7: and I there is no rhyme or reason to how
- 15:49Speaker 7: it hits me like there's But I could end up
- 15:53Speaker 7: being fine, I could end up slobbering in the corner.
- 15:57Speaker 4: So I'm gonna have to.
- 15:58Speaker 2: So I'm coming then.
- 16:02Speaker 6: Because I want to see how I'll bring the five milligram.
- 16:06Speaker 6: I just want to see how it's on the Dainty Trail.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Maybe maybe we try that for the next event, depending
- 16:12Speaker 1: on how this one goes. Let's have him raw dog
- 16:15Speaker 1: this Dainty Trail event and see how it goes. I
- 16:19Speaker 1: do have another suggestion for you. I'm on this one.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I'm serious about what you don't think I have your
- 16:29Speaker 1: best interest in mind?
- 16:31Speaker 6: No, I think you're looking for a segment three.
- 16:38Speaker 4: No, he's looking for a show.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Yeah, a segment I want to show out of this. Okay, Look,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you're obviously not going to take Daisy, which was my
- 16:48Speaker 1: first recommendate. And take Daisy. She's an icebreaker, she's kind
- 16:52Speaker 1: of your emotional support chihuahua. Uh and she's and she's
- 16:56Speaker 1: you know, she's a chick magnet. So she kind of
- 16:59Speaker 1: checks a lot of box for you. But if it
- 17:01Speaker 1: might be unfair and they might say you're not allowed
- 17:03Speaker 1: to have a pet.
- 17:04Speaker 7: Well, if this event was actually on the Katie Trail,
- 17:07Speaker 7: I probably would, but it's not. It's actually off Greenville,
- 17:11Speaker 7: So okay, I doubt that she would even be allowed.
- 17:15Speaker 1: So because of that, I have a different suggestion, okay,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and something that might help give you a little bit
- 17:22Speaker 1: of courage and a little bit of comfort in a
- 17:25Speaker 1: very awkward situation. Okay, since you quit drinking, what's the
- 17:30Speaker 1: one thing you absolutely love more than your dog or
- 17:33Speaker 1: as much.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Sugar?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Snickerdoodles.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Snicker doodles specifically, snickerdoodles, right, yes, because you would do
- 17:47Speaker 1: what for a snickerdoodle?
- 17:52Speaker 7: You know, at some point, especially when I'm quit drinking,
- 17:54Speaker 7: I'd got a man for a snicker doodle.
- 17:56Speaker 1: All right, that's the line I was looking for. So
- 17:58Speaker 1: here's what you do. You go to tiff Streets or
- 18:02Speaker 1: call tiff Streets. They'll bring it to you. That's the
- 18:04Speaker 1: beauty of tiff Streets. They deliver you, get you a
- 18:08Speaker 1: dozen cookies, make sure you get a hand like four
- 18:12Speaker 1: or something, force nicker doodles for yourself, and you've got
- 18:16Speaker 1: a box of cookies something that you can hold, so
- 18:19Speaker 1: now you don't have to worry about what to do
- 18:21Speaker 1: with your hands, especially because you don't drink and don't
- 18:23Speaker 1: want to have something awkward, and you have a little
- 18:27Speaker 1: comfort food there because you love snicker doodles, and it
- 18:29Speaker 1: might put you at ease because you're enjoying one of
- 18:32Speaker 1: your favorite treats. And a box of cookies is going
- 18:37Speaker 1: to act as an icebreaker slash attractant to any female
- 18:40Speaker 1: that might be tempted by such things.
- 18:45Speaker 2: A box of cookies might get you some cookie.
- 18:47Speaker 6: So right, yeah, this is the weirdest therapy session I've.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Ever heard it is, you know.
- 18:55Speaker 1: But if you notice, Trey has not immediately dismissed it,
- 18:57Speaker 1: he's considering it.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Well, no, because the.
- 18:59Speaker 7: First, you know, when you ask the questions what's the
- 19:01Speaker 7: one thing I love, you know since I quit drinking,
- 19:03Speaker 7: my first answer is gonna be masturbation, and that would
- 19:05Speaker 7: have been a really awkward show.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah, don't do that at the same.

- 20:32Speaker 1: trick to keep you together forever. All right, are you
- 20:36Speaker 1: ready for this?
- 20:37Speaker 5: Oh?
- 20:37Speaker 4: I can't wait?
- 20:45Speaker 1: Okay, mis wing, let's see. All right, here we go.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Couples who bond over this nasty habit are happier. Okay,
- 20:57Speaker 1: see if you can guess this. Couples who bond over
- 21:01Speaker 1: this nasty habit are happier. What do you think that
- 21:05Speaker 1: habit is? Trey will start with you. Any guesses this
- 21:12Speaker 1: nasty habit?
- 21:16Speaker 4: Picking your nose?
- 21:18Speaker 1: Okay, raj.
- 21:23Speaker 2: Passing gas.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Jerry, do you have a guess on the nasty habit
- 21:28Speaker 1: that makes couples happier?
- 21:33Speaker 5: Farting was mine?
- 21:34Speaker 1: So right, there we go. Couples who bond over this
- 21:40Speaker 1: nasty habit are happier. Gossip Gossiping with your spouse can
- 21:47Speaker 1: improve your relationship, or so, says a new study from
- 21:51Speaker 1: Uce Riverside in California. Seventy six couples wore special devices
- 21:56Speaker 1: and agreed to have their conversations recorded throughout the day.
- 21:59Speaker 1: About four thirteen percent of their entire day was taped,
- 22:02Speaker 1: and they found we spend an average of thirty eight
- 22:05Speaker 1: minutes a day gossiping, and twenty nine of those minutes
- 22:08Speaker 1: are spent gossiping with our significant other, so that means
- 22:12Speaker 1: our significant other is our biggest partner in crime. Researchers
- 22:17Speaker 1: think gossiping together makes us closer because it's a form
- 22:19Speaker 1: of emotional bonding, and it also reinforces the idea that
- 22:24Speaker 1: you're on the same team. And it doesn't matter if
- 22:25Speaker 1: the gossip is positive or negative. They actually say negatively,
- 22:30Speaker 1: gossiping with one's romantic partner on the way home from
- 22:33Speaker 1: a party could signal that the couple's bond is stronger
- 22:36Speaker 1: than with their friends at the party, and then positive
- 22:38Speaker 1: gossip could prolong the fun experiences that you had. So
- 22:43Speaker 1: gossiping is the nasty habit that will make your relationship happier.
- 22:48Speaker 7: I feel like this is a thing that where the
- 22:52Speaker 7: woman is doing ninety five percent of the talking and
- 22:54Speaker 7: the guy's going yeah, okay, yeah, Becky, she crazy.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I mean.
- 23:01Speaker 1: What you do smile a nod or just just respond
- 23:04Speaker 1: with approving.
- 23:06Speaker 7: And and the and the occasional time you really want
- 23:08Speaker 7: to event about somebody, it's probably considered gossiping. And then yeah,
- 23:11Speaker 7: she'll listen for a minute and then turn the conversation
- 23:15Speaker 7: back to her day.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 1: On the other hand, I mean, are we really talking
- 23:20Speaker 1: about gossip or is this really just talking about your
- 23:24Speaker 1: friends that one.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Mhm.
- 23:27Speaker 6: I don't think my aunt's had any friends so outside
- 23:31Speaker 6: of work, But she like she liked a gossip and
- 23:34Speaker 6: I like to listen because it was kind of fun.
- 23:36Speaker 2: M h.
- 23:38Speaker 6: I don't really talk about people like that. It's not
- 23:42Speaker 6: it's not in my wheelhouse, but.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Well it's it's interesting. Like my last relationship, we met
- 23:51Speaker 7: through the same for the lack of a better term,
- 23:55Speaker 7: social circles, Like, we knew a lot of the same people,
- 23:58Speaker 7: so things would come up where it did make it
- 24:02Speaker 7: at least when she wanted to, you know, and most
- 24:06Speaker 7: of the time it was her talking, but at least
- 24:07Speaker 7: I knew who she was talking about, and yeah it
- 24:09Speaker 7: was you know, I could feign some interest in it.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:14Speaker 7: And then she knew my old bosses, and so when
- 24:16Speaker 7: I would, you know, then about them, then she understood.
- 24:19Speaker 6: So yeah, I'm not a big gossiper. I do like
- 24:24Speaker 6: to listen to it. I think that's entertaining.
- 24:27Speaker 1: And I like how you say gossiping is not in
- 24:30Speaker 1: your wheelhouse. But if if you're actively listening to me.
- 24:33Speaker 1: You're that's that's approving, that's you know.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Well, I mean sometimes I get material out of it,
- 24:40Speaker 2: so that that's.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Oh so it's for work now, Oh it's well, oh
- 24:42Speaker 1: it's for stand upright, then I can write it off.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I'd love to see your accountant's face when you say
- 24:49Speaker 1: I have to write off four nine and twenty two
- 24:52Speaker 1: minutes of speaking with my significant other, please.
- 24:55Speaker 2: And you would go, we can do that.
- 24:59Speaker 1: You can do anything on your taxes as long as
- 25:01Speaker 1: as long as no one calls your bluff. That's really
- 25:03Speaker 1: at the end of the day, that's all it really is. Yeah, audit,
- 25:06Speaker 1: you can do whatever you want on your taxes on
- 25:08Speaker 1: the ten forty or whatever forms you fill out, as
- 25:11Speaker 1: long as you file. That's step number one. Step number
- 25:15Speaker 1: two is just whether or not someone decides to question
- 25:18Speaker 1: any of it. And if they don't, it doesn't matter
- 25:20Speaker 1: what you put in those things.
- 25:21Speaker 6: Yeah, some of the stuff that I like for stage,
- 25:24Speaker 6: like the stage clothes, Like I don't wear all of
- 25:27Speaker 6: it on stage, but I still write it off And
- 25:29Speaker 6: I'm like, you bought that, Okay, I'll take the I'll
- 25:34Speaker 6: take the return.
- 25:35Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Meanwhile, your significant other is gossiping about your purchases.
- 25:44Speaker 2: To my accountant, Yeah, over a dinner that we're gonna
- 25:49Speaker 2: write off anyway.
- 25:52Speaker 7: Tara's accountants going, why do you have to buy so
- 25:55Speaker 7: many big pencils?
- 25:58Speaker 2: What's pegging? Yeah?
- 26:04Speaker 1: I don't think there's a form for that for the irs.

- 27:11Speaker 1: Has Daisy, your three pound chihuahua, ever been any sort
- 27:15Speaker 1: of what's what I'm trying to think of? Has she
- 27:20Speaker 1: ever contributed financially to the household?
- 27:26Speaker 4: No, I've never made her get a job?
- 27:28Speaker 1: Okay, well, there might be an opportunity here for Daisy.
- 27:34Speaker 1: All right, the search is on for the next four
- 27:38Speaker 1: legged star of air Bud Returns. And who better to
- 27:45Speaker 1: fill the little Golden Retriever sneakers than Daisy, your fourteen
- 27:52Speaker 1: to fifteen year old, three pound toothless Chihuahua.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Yeah, who is smaller than a sneaker.
- 28:00Speaker 7: That's much less of basketball, right, I think that that
- 28:04Speaker 7: might involve some Cgi.
- 28:07Speaker 2: She would be the she would be the spud web
- 28:09Speaker 2: of dogs.
- 28:10Speaker 1: That a few weeks ago it was announced that a
- 28:15Speaker 1: new air Bud is in the works, called air Bud Returns.
- 28:20Speaker 1: And now the search is on to find the new
- 28:22Speaker 1: air Bud, which obviously sounds like an adorable casting call. However,
- 28:28Speaker 1: they're being very Hollywood about it. Instead of opening the
- 28:31Speaker 1: doors up entirely to all sorts of dogs, they're actually
- 28:37Speaker 1: staying with the blonde hair, blue eyed Golden Retriever style.
- 28:42Speaker 1: I know, brown eye, but you get the idea. They're
- 28:43Speaker 1: sticking with the Golden Retriever.
- 28:47Speaker 6: Uh.
- 28:47Speaker 1: They want a pure, pure bread Golden Retriever only. But
- 28:51Speaker 1: if you think yours could be the next star, you
- 28:54Speaker 1: can submit an application online. Even if your Goldie is
- 28:57Speaker 1: not chosen, you're still eligible to win prizes like Airbud jerseys,
- 29:01Speaker 1: signed movie merch hopefully by the dog, or a trip
- 29:05Speaker 1: to the premiere in Los Angeles. Airbud Returns is supposed
- 29:09Speaker 1: to be in theaters next summer. I see this as
- 29:11Speaker 1: very myopic on the part of Hollywood. Hollywood as an
- 29:14Speaker 1: institution has long been very progressive and it's casting choices. Okay, well,
- 29:21Speaker 1: sometimes I just see an opportunity here to open the
- 29:25Speaker 1: doors a little bit. You know, why does Airbud have
- 29:28Speaker 1: to be a golden retriever. I think I think you
- 29:33Speaker 1: should open it up to another breed someone, you know.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I tell you what, Let's let's make it a meritocracy.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Let's find the best dog for the job.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I never saw the movie, so I don't know what
- 29:45Speaker 6: it's is a basketball playing dog?
- 29:47Speaker 5: Is that what we're basically?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Okay, I think so, gotcha. I'll send Grace's picture in
- 29:55Speaker 2: and see what they say.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Your little pit bull puppy.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Could do.
- 30:00Speaker 1: It could do wonders for the stigma around pitbulls.
- 30:02Speaker 7: Absolutely, if you were on the best dog for the
- 30:05Speaker 7: dog like, it would probably be a Belgian malinwah uh, yeah.
- 30:11Speaker 4: You know, and they would shoot you while they're going
- 30:14Speaker 4: up for the dunk.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, because those are the dogs that are very common
- 30:18Speaker 1: in police and military, also known as fur missiles.
- 30:23Speaker 6: What does it big the case corso something like that
- 30:25Speaker 6: is that? Oh yeah, those things beautiful cheese. Look at
- 30:30Speaker 6: the size of that, like scary. You want to talk
- 30:33Speaker 6: about you want to talk about being able to dunk?
- 30:34Speaker 6: That's like they're doing Tomahawk dunks.
- 30:37Speaker 1: It's the Dominique Wilkins of dogs. I still like the
- 30:44Speaker 1: idea of having Tray's dog Daisy, I mean, a three
- 30:47Speaker 1: pound old ash Chihuahwa with no teeth. I feel like
- 30:52Speaker 1: making dreams come true. It really would be an inspiring story.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Here's this little dog that everyone thinks can't possibly play basketball,
- 31:01Speaker 1: yet she finds a way. Now, some people are inevitably
- 31:05Speaker 1: going to say Hollywood is gone too woke because it's
- 31:08Speaker 1: a little Mexican dog that somehow found its way into
- 31:10Speaker 1: America and into air bud sneakers. So some people are
- 31:15Speaker 1: gonna fan the flames of controversy on that side. But
- 31:17Speaker 1: I say stick with it. I think it's an inspiring story.
- 31:22Speaker 2: She gets arrested by Ice at the end.
- 31:27Speaker 1: They found her because she won at the end. Yeah,
- 31:30Speaker 1: she's a S thirteen. Yeah, the tattoos just underneath her collar.
- 31:37Speaker 5: Cross her little pause.
- 31:38Speaker 1: The credit scene is her on a on a flame
- 31:41Speaker 1: on a plane to Elf Salvador.
- 31:46Speaker 6: With all the other juhuahua's like like loved you in
- 31:50Speaker 6: Airbud two man.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yeah, But the good news is is Airbud two returns
- 31:55Speaker 1: again is actually going to be more of a Conair two.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Just to playful at Chihuahas.

- 32:54Speaker 1: just imagining a Conair two flight full of uh deported
- 32:59Speaker 1: Chihuahis in shackles and Nicholas cage.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Of course, who's the John Malkovich of the Chihualas? Which one?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Uh, that's where we'll have to do a little role appropriation.
- 33:16Speaker 1: So instead of it being a hardcore Chihuahua, it'll be
- 33:20Speaker 1: the slack jawed pug from Deadpool and Wolverine. All right,
- 33:27Speaker 1: today is actually Danny Trea can still play himself.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. Yeah.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Today is Thursday, August fourteenth, twenty twenty five. Let's celebrate
- 33:40Speaker 1: today with some birthdays. Speaking of the Deadpool movies, actress
- 33:47Speaker 1: Bringanna Hildebrand is twenty nine today. She's the one that
- 33:50Speaker 1: plays Negasnic teenage Warhead, which is still by far and
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure Deadpool said this in that first movie.
- 33:58Speaker 1: One of the coolest names for a super hero that
- 34:00Speaker 1: I can that I that I'm aware of Negasnic teenage Warhead.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 6: So, but the interaction was great, by the way, every
- 34:10Speaker 6: single time. And then the girlfriend was fantastic as well.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, the anime girlfriend.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Anyway, she's twenty nine today. Tim Tebow turns thirty eight.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Mister Christian yep Hall Lou. Tim Tebow made it thirty eight,
- 34:26Speaker 1: did not make it in the NFL. Some think that
- 34:29Speaker 1: he got the shaft on that he would say, well,
- 34:32Speaker 1: Jesus would disapprove.
- 34:33Speaker 2: So No, he was just he was just not good.
- 34:36Speaker 4: Yeah, he was just a bust.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yeah, but so many people say, well, look at that
- 34:40Speaker 1: playoff game he won, okay, the one, the one about
- 34:47Speaker 1: as many as Romo and Prescott.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 34:52Speaker 4: But he wasn't like it. He just wasn't good.
- 34:55Speaker 7: No, the truth about her is he wasn't a great
- 34:58Speaker 7: He wasn't a great college quarterback. He was just in
- 35:01Speaker 7: a great system at at the right time and where
- 35:05Speaker 7: you know, he could throw it well enough and and
- 35:08Speaker 7: and he was big and he could run. But yeah,
- 35:11Speaker 7: he was an awful NFL quarterback.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Those Florida teams with Tim Tebow are a master class
- 35:16Speaker 1: in head coaching about because what's what's the the the
- 35:20Speaker 1: old tried and true thing about coaching. What is coaching,
- 35:24Speaker 1: it's putting your players in the best possible position to win.
- 35:29Speaker 1: And that's exactly what urban Meyer did in those in
- 35:31Speaker 1: those years because he saw Tim Tebow and thought, Okay,
- 35:35Speaker 1: we're not going to run a spread style, pro offense
- 35:38Speaker 1: type situation. We're gonna have Tim Tebow basically be a
- 35:41Speaker 1: glorified running back that occasionally throws the ball.
- 35:44Speaker 7: I mean, urban Meyer's talent was putting him in the
- 35:47Speaker 7: best place. It was keeping them out of jail.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Yes, that's true.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, no taken. So yeah, it was like a
- 35:54Speaker 1: one A one B kind of thing.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's a two A. It's an AA kind
- 35:59Speaker 2: of thing.
- 36:00Speaker 7: I mean, think about who Team Tebow's you know, traveling
- 36:04Speaker 7: roommate was when they were on the road.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Was it Aaron Hernandez?
- 36:08Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, let's go murder and then pray.
- 36:14Speaker 1: So like Tim Tebow was mister Gator and Aaron Hernandez
- 36:17Speaker 1: was mister Murder.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Yes, I know. He was the first part of Gator.
- 36:25Speaker 4: That was his big problem.
- 36:29Speaker 1: H Happy birthday, Tim. Meela Cunis is forty two today,
- 36:39Speaker 1: married to Ashton Kutcher, so their whole kind of life
- 36:42Speaker 1: has come full circle where they started out on that
- 36:45Speaker 1: seventies show together, had little crushes on each other. I
- 36:47Speaker 1: think he may have even dated back on that show,
- 36:49Speaker 1: and then eventually they often get married with interesting romances
- 36:54Speaker 1: for each other in between. Meela Cunis turns forty two.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Christopher Gorum is fifty one. It's from the show Insatiable.
- 37:03Speaker 1: He was also Jake two point zero, Piper Perabo's handler
- 37:06Speaker 1: on Covert Affairs, and he was also on Ugly. Betty
- 37:09Speaker 1: Catherine Bell from JAG is fifty seven today from JAG.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, haven't heard that. I haven't heard that show's
- 37:20Speaker 6: that name in a while. Man, didn't that turn into
- 37:22Speaker 6: ncis different?
- 37:26Speaker 1: It is different, Yeah, because n CIA is like a
- 37:28Speaker 1: special investigative in Jags. JAG is military lawyers.
- 37:33Speaker 2: But the Denozo came from JAG. Right, wasn't he on
- 37:36Speaker 2: that show, Tony? What's his name? The guy that plays
- 37:39Speaker 2: Anthony Denoso?
- 37:40Speaker 4: I think no. I think in the backstory he was
- 37:42Speaker 4: a JAG officer. But okay, I don't know.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Okay, anyway, I don't know.
- 37:48Speaker 4: It was all CBS, so they could have been some
- 37:50Speaker 4: weird crossover.
- 37:51Speaker 1: But of course, Catherine Bell fifty seven, Happy birthday to her.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Halle Berry turns fifty nine today. Halle Berry nine years
- 38:01Speaker 1: old today. And I haven't seen it yet, but God
- 38:04Speaker 1: only knows what sort of a birthday pick she's going
- 38:06Speaker 1: to post on Instagram.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Oh, it's gonna be good.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I mean, I think it was Valentine's Day. She had
- 38:13Speaker 1: the video of her and her husband in bed saying
- 38:15Speaker 1: they were getting ready to get it on and she
- 38:17Speaker 1: was showing off. I guess some endorsement product that she had.
- 38:20Speaker 1: That's lube hilarious.
- 38:23Speaker 6: I like my when she won the oscar, but that
- 38:25Speaker 6: was my one of my favorite moments when she thanked
- 38:27Speaker 6: her mom for making her a proud black woman, and
- 38:30Speaker 6: they cut to her mom and she's white. The unintentioned
- 38:38Speaker 6: oh camera, that's miraculous, but that cameraman was like, okay,
- 38:50Speaker 6: uh huh. Right around and there's and her mother's a
- 38:53Speaker 6: beautiful white lady. But I thank you for she's crying,
- 38:56Speaker 6: thank you for making me a proud black woman, and
- 38:59Speaker 6: then boom, white lady. I was like, this is the
- 39:01Speaker 6: best Oscars ever.
- 39:04Speaker 1: All at once, America did the RCA dog.

- 40:04Speaker 1: taxes earlier in the show. I forget exactly why. But
- 40:08Speaker 1: in the break, Jerry, you were telling us that was
- 40:10Speaker 1: it last year or this year, whatever it was, you
- 40:13Speaker 1: had to actually pay taxes for the first time ever.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Yes, Oh it sucks.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I hate that.
- 40:19Speaker 5: Never been on that end of it before.
- 40:24Speaker 6: Yeah, I think I paid once. I paid one hundred
- 40:26Speaker 6: and eighty one dollars. That's what I had to pay once.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, you're self employed. How was it you're not
- 40:33Speaker 1: paying taxes? Oh okay, never mind, I answered my own question.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I'm just not Dan, Okay, thanks.
- 40:39Speaker 6: No, it's just as comics they changed the laws for entertainers,
- 40:43Speaker 6: so you can ride a lot of stuff off.
- 40:45Speaker 2: So anything I.
- 40:46Speaker 6: Buy, like clothes wise, or shoes or makeup or whatever,
- 40:49Speaker 6: I can write all of that off. Food, as long
- 40:52Speaker 6: as I have a conversation about business, I can ride
- 40:54Speaker 6: all of that off as well.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Travel to write all that off.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Do you have to art? You were saying.
- 41:00Speaker 1: That's part of what we were saying before, is that
- 41:02Speaker 1: it doesn't matter what you file when it comes to taxes,
- 41:05Speaker 1: as long as you file something, because chances are the
- 41:08Speaker 1: irs and go. Okay, Dan did his trade, did his
- 41:12Speaker 1: raj did his Jerry did his fine, and nothing may
- 41:14Speaker 1: ever come from it, unless someone decided to take a
- 41:17Speaker 1: look at it a little bit closer and go, hey,
- 41:19Speaker 1: some of this doesn't add up. So you really can
- 41:21Speaker 1: file whatever and then just hope that you don't get caught,
- 41:25Speaker 1: which is what a lot of people do. And so
- 41:29Speaker 1: I find it interesting that as self employed you've only
- 41:32Speaker 1: had to pay once I realized you can write lots
- 41:35Speaker 1: of stuff off. But that seems shocking to me.
- 41:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean think about it, like all my gas,
- 41:41Speaker 6: all I'm going back and forth to the clubs, all
- 41:44Speaker 6: that comes off, all the wear and tear, the oil
- 41:46Speaker 6: changes everything, tires, I mean, everything gets right off because
- 41:51Speaker 6: I use that for transportation to go to my job.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I think the more specific version of that, the way
- 41:58Speaker 1: that's supposed to work is the percentage for which you
- 42:02Speaker 1: use it for the job. Tray is now smiling because
- 42:06Speaker 1: having both worked in real estate, we know kind of
- 42:08Speaker 1: how that goes. You can't just write off everything, but
- 42:11Speaker 1: again that goes back to it doesn't matter if you
- 42:14Speaker 1: don't get audited. If you don't get audited, then you're good.
- 42:19Speaker 6: Yes, So though I always do the wink wing nuts nudge,
- 42:23Speaker 6: you can write everything off, but you can write everything off.
- 42:26Speaker 6: But I mean, obviously if somebody was to come and check,
- 42:29Speaker 6: there would be a I would have to pay quite
- 42:31Speaker 6: a bit.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Yeah, being self employed now I have to pay, and
- 42:36Speaker 1: paying sucks. Yes, And while I'll write off some stuff,
- 42:40Speaker 1: I don't write off everything, just in case someone does
- 42:45Speaker 1: decide to look a little too closely at the stuff.
- 42:47Speaker 1: I don't want to be like, well, I'm going to
- 42:50Speaker 1: disappear from the planet now.
- 42:51Speaker 6: Yeah, the one Irs agent in the US Virgin Islands,
- 42:55Speaker 6: they have.
- 42:57Speaker 2: The time, so yeah, you want to be careful.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Their hands are still kind of full with Epstein's mess.
- 43:07Speaker 1: So you had to pay for the first time. Jerry,
- 43:10Speaker 1: my sympathies. That's never a fun feeling. I know that
- 43:12Speaker 1: that stings a little bit. I remember, yeah, uh, that
- 43:17Speaker 1: is one of the benefits of working for somebody else,
- 43:22Speaker 1: especially if it's a large company. They'll do all that
- 43:26Speaker 1: taking of the money out of for you and then
- 43:28Speaker 1: maybe you get some back in the end. But I
- 43:31Speaker 1: remember in I was in high school and my mom
- 43:33Speaker 1: did my taxes, and I remember one time she told me, oh,
- 43:36Speaker 1: it looks like you're getting a return back one hundred dollars,
- 43:39Speaker 1: and I was like, Okay, cool, that's about right. I
- 43:41Speaker 1: think it was like my second year of having to
- 43:43Speaker 1: file taxes. And then like a couple of weeks later,
- 43:48Speaker 1: she's like, Hey, remember how I said you you're going
- 43:50Speaker 1: to get back a couple hundred. Yeah, it turns out
- 43:53Speaker 1: you owe a couple hundred.
- 43:54Speaker 4: What.
- 43:56Speaker 1: This is the woman that worked in accounting for sixteen
- 43:59Speaker 1: years at Phillips Petroleum Company. And I told her, I
- 44:02Speaker 1: was like, how do you mess that up? How do
- 44:04Speaker 1: I go from being owed money to owing money? You
- 44:07Speaker 1: wear an accountant? How are you this bad at taxes?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Is this why Phillips Petroleum Company went down the toilet?
- 44:15Speaker 6: You mom bankrupted? Phillips's a powerful woman or really bad
- 44:23Speaker 6: at maths?
- 44:24Speaker 1: Both both can be true. I mean, she is a
- 44:29Speaker 1: strong willed woman and horrible at accounting. Sorry, mister Phillips,
- 44:36Speaker 1: your gas station's gotta go back.
- 44:41Speaker 4: She had gas stations repossessed.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I mean, it really does make sense when I look
- 44:46Speaker 1: back on it. I mean, she did work for the
- 44:48Speaker 1: sixteen crucial years at the Phillips Petroleum Company when they
- 44:52Speaker 1: were needing to downsize because they somehow couldn't make oil
- 44:55Speaker 1: and gas profitable.
- 44:57Speaker 6: They couldn't make payments. How many how many people does
- 45:04Speaker 6: your mom have laid off?
- 45:09Speaker 4: Did she then turn to work in radio? She's a
- 45:14Speaker 4: ceover at Diheart.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Now, yeah, we know radio revenue is down seven percent,
- 45:21Speaker 1: but a bit is up six For all things Treehouse,
