- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Welcome to
- 0:06Speaker 1: Iheartradios almost Famous the Ogs. I am Bob Guiney, and
- 0:11Speaker 1: unfortunately my co host Trista is not available to join
- 0:13Speaker 1: me today, so you won't get the wonderful pizazz of
- 0:17Speaker 1: Trista Sutter and Nae Wren. But I do have a
- 0:21Speaker 1: great guest who's with us today. You know her from
- 0:24Speaker 1: Lorenzo Prince Lorenzo Borghesi's season of The Bachelor way back
- 0:30Speaker 1: in two thousand and six, which is crazy. So this
- 0:34Speaker 1: really is OG style because I was two thousand and three.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Trista and I were two thousand and two and three,
- 0:39Speaker 1: So there you go. I mean, this is going way back.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You remember her from her Tiera and she came on
- 0:45Speaker 1: she was basically a princess, Erica Rose, and Erica is here.
- 0:49Speaker 1: She's gonna join us and we're gonna find out all
- 0:53Speaker 1: things that are going on with Erica. So let's bring
- 0:56Speaker 1: her in. Ladies and gentlemen of the almost famous OG family,
- 1:00Speaker 1: please help me welcome miss Erica Rose. Hi. Wait a minute,
- 1:06Speaker 1: is that your tr Is that the old school tirro
- 1:08Speaker 1: from back in the day.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It's a headband.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Nice to see you too. How are you.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm good. I can't remember if we've ever met irl
- 1:20Speaker 2: and realized.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we did, like some event years ago.
- 1:24Speaker 1: It was very brief, though, and I remember I remember thinking, man,
- 1:27Speaker 1: I realized she's so nice, you know. But it was
- 1:30Speaker 1: crazy because I didn't realize. So, I mean, obviously I
- 1:32Speaker 1: was just talking about before you came in. I was,
- 1:35Speaker 1: you know, way back in the day, of course, two
- 1:37Speaker 1: thousand and three. But then I realized, I'm like, oh
- 1:40Speaker 1: my god, you guys were two thousand and six. You
- 1:42Speaker 1: weren't that far behind me.
- 1:43Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I watched your season, of course, and I felt like,
- 1:48Speaker 3: but sometimes I think I met someone and then it's like,
- 1:52Speaker 3: oh we met online.
- 1:53Speaker 1: You never know, Yeah, I know yours.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Honestly.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I think you have a great attitude, always positive, Oh well.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Thank you, and the feeling is mutual. I know you.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I always thought you were like the first one that
- 2:04Speaker 1: came on with your own thing going on, you know,
- 2:06Speaker 1: like that was before. I feel like you coming on
- 2:10Speaker 1: with a tiara and being like, I'm a princess and
- 2:12Speaker 1: I deserve to be treated a certain way, you know.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I think it really resonated with people and I'm sure
- 2:17Speaker 1: it was polarizing to some right, I'm sure you got
- 2:20Speaker 1: some grief, but obviously you know it made you very noteworthy.
- 2:24Speaker 1: And was it one of those things like like walking
- 2:26Speaker 1: into it, you were just like I've got an idea,
- 2:28Speaker 1: I'm going for it and I'm holding true. Like how
- 2:30Speaker 1: did you make the decision to go in?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Well, it was literally because the bachelor of my season
- 2:35Speaker 3: still friends with me. Prince learns of borghese, that's why
- 2:38Speaker 3: I wore a tiara because he was a prince before that,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I only wan worn one literally once at my twenty
- 2:45Speaker 3: third birthday, and then it just became a thing. But
- 2:51Speaker 3: Lorenzo actually came to my husband and my wedding.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Eight lifelong friends.
- 2:56Speaker 3: But yeah, I always tell people I wouldn't have worn
- 2:59Speaker 3: a tiara, you know it was your season or like righters,
- 3:03Speaker 3: I wouldn't have came in with the crown being like
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm your princess.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That would have been so random.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I think a lot of people like, don't get that
- 3:11Speaker 3: I did that because he was a prince.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I was surprised not more girls did that.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It is actually when you think about it that way,
- 3:18Speaker 1: it makes perfect sense, right, you come in you're like, hey,
- 3:21Speaker 1: I mean, if you were on Jesse's season, you would
- 3:23Speaker 1: have come in with a football helmet, right, I mean,
- 3:25Speaker 1: there's a lot of ways to go.
- 3:28Speaker 2: And I didn't.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I don't even think I would have done like Jesse's
- 3:30Speaker 3: season because I don't think I would have been his hype.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Whereas like Lorenzo, weird lifelong fronts. So there was something
- 3:36Speaker 3: to that, just feeling like either, you know, we could
- 3:40Speaker 3: be a good match, but if not, like I made
- 3:41Speaker 3: a lifelong frunt.
- 3:42Speaker 2: So that's really cool.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I really love Lorenzo. He and I met at
- 3:46Speaker 1: the Kentucky Derby several years back, and I remember just
- 3:49Speaker 1: I liked his whole thing, you know, and it's like
- 3:52Speaker 1: he came in and was just just a nice, nice guy.
- 3:55Speaker 1: In fact, I still keep in touch with them. And
- 3:56Speaker 1: he just sent me some of his beer, which is
- 3:59Speaker 1: really good.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Oh I need to try that.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I'm not a huge beer person, but still I'm sure
- 4:03Speaker 3: his is really good.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's almost like you're drinking like a popsicle, which
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm like that. You know, I'm not a big beer
- 4:09Speaker 1: guy either, so yeah, very sweet. But that okay, so
- 4:12Speaker 1: you go on the show obviously, you know you're a
- 4:15Speaker 1: fan favorite. People really kind of resonate with you and
- 4:18Speaker 1: you you got down. How far did you go on
- 4:20Speaker 1: Lorenzo season? Were you done? The final four?
- 4:23Speaker 3: It was kind of like the final eight, But then
- 4:25Speaker 3: the producers brought me back to judge a competition when
- 4:29Speaker 3: there were six girls left and picked the top two winners,
- 4:32Speaker 3: and the two that I picked, Jen and Sadie ended
- 4:34Speaker 3: up being in the final two. Well, it was there longer,
- 4:38Speaker 3: but I was really like number eight eliminated.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Sure, yeah, I kind of went my season. I was
- 4:44Speaker 1: I was technically like the fifth guy left because they
- 4:47Speaker 1: hadn't really figured I think they went to six and
- 4:49Speaker 1: then they went to four. And similarly, I remember like
- 4:54Speaker 1: I thought I was I was done. You know. So
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm watching the show at home like everybody else, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: every week I'm still in it doing something.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah, That's how I was like editing it and I'm like,
- 5:01Speaker 3: I was like doing this one thing, like in a bathtub.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I'm like, I wasn't there though, I was back home.
- 5:07Speaker 3: But it was fun because I got to hang out
- 5:08Speaker 3: in Rome with a handler, you know, for a couple year.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That was nice. That was at that point.
- 5:15Speaker 1: That's so awesome. Yeah, you you were one of the
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm not sure if it was before your season, but
- 5:21Speaker 1: it became a thing where obviously with Lorenzo, you know,
- 5:24Speaker 1: being in Italy was was key, but I feel like
- 5:27Speaker 1: that sort of kick started the season starting to travel
- 5:29Speaker 1: a lot more and a lot earlier. You know.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of oh, like I felt I
- 5:35Speaker 3: was twenty three, so it was a little over I've
- 5:37Speaker 3: been overseas, I'd been to Italy, but it was overwhelming
- 5:40Speaker 3: to me. I think, like leaving my dog, leaving my family,
- 5:44Speaker 3: like going to Italy. I think it would have been
- 5:47Speaker 3: like when I did Bachelor Pad and it was in
- 5:48Speaker 3: la that was a lot less scary.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:51Speaker 3: There was something about like the whole season being in
- 5:54Speaker 3: Italy that was just it.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Really felt like Wow, I'm like really like going away
- 5:58Speaker 2: to a foreign country like this, this is crazy.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a big deal. I mean I remember
- 6:03Speaker 1: when they traveled the show that year, and the whole
- 6:05Speaker 1: thing I mean I heard his stories was the mansion.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Like you now, did you all stay in the same mansion.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm sorry, you gotta refresh my memory, but were you
- 6:11Speaker 1: guys all in the same mansion on that one or
- 6:13Speaker 1: was it did you have different homes?
- 6:16Speaker 3: So, yeah, we stayed in the same place. I didn't
- 6:18Speaker 3: make it to like overnight traveling dates or anything. But
- 6:21Speaker 3: it was funny because the villa in Italy was not
- 6:24Speaker 3: like as nice as the Bachelor mansion, only because it
- 6:27Speaker 3: was Italy. It was the summer, and it's like Houston
- 6:30Speaker 3: summer weather, but in Italy, I'm like, here, there's no
- 6:34Speaker 3: air conditioning, right, old villa that was one of his
- 6:37Speaker 3: I think relatives villas from back.
- 6:39Speaker 2: In the day. So it was hot.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Af We were like seating like glow, like not cutely
- 6:44Speaker 3: but glowing all our and they were like bringing in
- 6:48Speaker 3: fans to cool us down. So like it was a
- 6:50Speaker 3: beautiful villa, but it was really uncomfortably hot. Yeah, the
- 6:55Speaker 3: mansion honestly was a lot nicer, even though we slept,
- 6:58Speaker 3: you know, in bunk buds when we did back, which
- 7:00Speaker 3: was also so crazy. Yeah, like literally having sex in
- 7:05Speaker 3: the bunk beds, Like, well, I go, but I just
- 7:08Speaker 3: didn't care.
- 7:08Speaker 2: We were so tired. I'm like, I'm just so asleep.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Well, I was gonna say, I remember talking to Lorenzo
- 7:13Speaker 1: about the villain Italy and he was like, oh my god,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it was amazing. But yeah, he's like, but you know, yes,
- 7:21Speaker 1: I do remember that.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we went and we did have a date at
- 7:24Speaker 3: his billow where he was staying the one I was
- 7:26Speaker 3: eliminated at two on one. But where he was staying
- 7:29Speaker 3: was nice, you know, of course air conditioning. Yeah, like closet.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I don't know, so of course this would be nicer.
- 7:36Speaker 3: But people thought it was funny. When I remember I
- 7:39Speaker 3: complained about where we were staying. It wasn't the aesthetics.
- 7:42Speaker 3: It was that it was about one hundred degrees in
- 7:45Speaker 3: like the summer in Rome, and there was no air.
- 7:48Speaker 2: You know, that was crazy, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Knowing the producers, I gotta believe they were like, this
- 7:53Speaker 1: would be great. It'll really get the women pissed off.
- 7:55Speaker 1: It'll be fantastic, you know what I mean. Yeah, but
- 7:59Speaker 1: then you mentioned that. So yeah, so you went from
- 8:02Speaker 1: Bachelor your you know, top top ten of course on
- 8:05Speaker 1: a bachelor topic, and then you go how long were
- 8:08Speaker 1: you home before they called you about bachelor? Pepe?
- 8:10Speaker 3: My like, life moved on, like I literally started law
- 8:13Speaker 3: school and was like that's it, Like I'm going to
- 8:16Speaker 3: be you know, time passed I started lost, like thinking
- 8:18Speaker 3: like two thousand and nine, yeah, and maybe twenty ten,
- 8:23Speaker 3: but anyway, and so then I was like in law
- 8:25Speaker 3: school doing my thing, and they invited me to kind
- 8:29Speaker 3: of like a little not reunion.
- 8:31Speaker 2: But it was after like a men's taping.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Of the tel you know, the reunion yah in La
- 8:36Speaker 3: went to that, and then they were like, we'd love
- 8:40Speaker 3: to have you on Bachelor Pad. I didn't do it
- 8:42Speaker 3: the first season because I had a really good summer
- 8:44Speaker 3: clerkship in law school with like this criminal fence layer.
- 8:48Speaker 2: So I think I had a lot of friends that
- 8:50Speaker 2: did that season.
- 8:51Speaker 3: But I ended up doing Bachelor Pod season two and three,
- 8:54Speaker 3: which was three was the final season.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah, was it awesome? I mean, did you did you
- 8:59Speaker 1: love it? Was it a great experience? Was it? No?
- 9:02Speaker 3: Bachelor itself was a great experience. I can't say that
- 9:05Speaker 3: I on that the first Bachelor pat I did. I
- 9:08Speaker 3: can't say it was a bad experience because I made
- 9:09Speaker 3: good friends like Vienna for example, my friend Melissa. They
- 9:12Speaker 3: all came to my wedding, so in that regard, like
- 9:16Speaker 3: and even Michelle Money I love her, Yeah to their wedding,
- 9:21Speaker 3: you know, So I can't say I regret doing it
- 9:23Speaker 3: because of the cool friends that I made, even though
- 9:26Speaker 3: I got eggs thrown at me, Like I honestly wasn't.
- 9:29Speaker 3: I forgot about that, but it was it was like
- 9:33Speaker 3: more at the time, I was just so busy and
- 9:35Speaker 3: wanting to move on because I had to gool. But
- 9:37Speaker 3: then it was more awkward when I was dating someone
- 9:40Speaker 3: like not on the show, you know, in real life,
- 9:43Speaker 3: and they would see the egg toss challenge and be like,
- 9:45Speaker 3: oh my god, you're the least attractive girl in the
- 9:47Speaker 3: house because that's what the things said. So I was
- 9:49Speaker 3: really lucky when I met my husband that he had
- 9:51Speaker 3: only seen The Bachelor but not Bachelor Pad still hasn't
- 9:55Speaker 3: watched it. He knows about the challenge, but I didn't.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I don't think I brought it up to him until
- 9:59Speaker 3: maybe we were married a couple of years.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Well, I think you probably can guess at this point
- 10:04Speaker 1: that was a pretty produced moment for them to say
- 10:05Speaker 1: something like that anyway, because clearly that's not the case.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But well, you know, it's funny. I mean, I I
- 10:11Speaker 1: got invited back, and it was kind of fun for
- 10:14Speaker 1: me to entertain the idea. But they had called me
- 10:17Speaker 1: at one point about Bachelor Pad, and I was like,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I thought they meant to host it. You know, it
- 10:22Speaker 1: was for the first one. So I was like, oh,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you know, maybe I would do that. That sounds fun.
- 10:26Speaker 1: And they're like, no, we want to have an actual
- 10:28Speaker 1: you know, one of the like the bachelors on it.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And I'm like, so tell me the concept, you know,
- 10:32Speaker 1: And I remember how they pitched it to me, and
- 10:34Speaker 1: then I remember kind of looking into it a little
- 10:36Speaker 1: bit more and I'm like, are you kidding me? I
- 10:37Speaker 1: would get killed there. Like it's like Survivor meets.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Hard Yeahelor in Paradise. They have it easy. I mean,
- 10:45Speaker 2: they're just hanging at the beach.
- 10:47Speaker 3: The challenges we were doing were like these kind of
- 10:49Speaker 3: like real world brogruals challenges from.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Back in the day if you ever watched that would
- 10:52Speaker 2: be like yes.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Down, synchronized swimming, just like the craziest things. Obviously a
- 10:57Speaker 3: lot of them were not my strong suit. Ones that
- 10:59Speaker 3: all more like strategizing. It was better at but I
- 11:04Speaker 3: Jake did it, you know, the former back Yeah, yeah,
- 11:06Speaker 3: And so I you know, I thought it was cool
- 11:09Speaker 3: that he was there. I thought I was like, he's
- 11:10Speaker 3: the cutest one because he was the only one that
- 11:13Speaker 3: was a bachelor. So I think I feel like you
- 11:16Speaker 3: would have done well on it.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Just the seasons. Everyone would have liked you.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I think I would have gotten thank you. It's very
- 11:22Speaker 1: sweet of you to say I would have gotten killed.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I literally thought about it. I was like, I don't
- 11:26Speaker 1: even understand. When I watched Survivor, I get so uncomfortable,
- 11:29Speaker 1: Like I'm always like, oh my god, how do they
- 11:31Speaker 1: form alliances and all this kind of stuff. I'm like,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I would never make it.
- 11:34Speaker 3: But because the alliances started before, like people would remember,
- 11:38Speaker 3: my friend Casey Kale called me up like I had
- 11:40Speaker 3: met him at some reunion party and he called me
- 11:42Speaker 3: up ahead of time, being like, okay, girl, you're gonna
- 11:44Speaker 3: be in my life. I'm like what wtff? Like people
- 11:47Speaker 3: are already strategizing. I was lucky to have that.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Yeah, he did.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Like, since I was so bad at the challenges, it
- 11:54Speaker 3: really did carry you a long way. And looking back,
- 11:58Speaker 3: even at season three, the last one I did, I
- 12:00Speaker 3: was upset with my friend Michael Stagliano at the time,
- 12:03Speaker 3: but he was like, I saved you from like four eliminations.
- 12:06Speaker 3: You literally lost every challenge, So I think I shouldn't
- 12:10Speaker 3: have been asn't sat with him as I was in
- 12:12Speaker 3: filling betrayed when you know, yeah me and then I
- 12:15Speaker 3: elimitated him. Whatever, it's all water under the bridge. But
- 12:19Speaker 3: it's just you know, you reflect and you look back.
- 12:21Speaker 3: But the alliance stuff, and it was kind of a
- 12:24Speaker 3: chaotic environment for sure.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well, and it was kind of uncharted waters, right
- 12:29Speaker 1: because it's also like everybody's probably hooking up and like
- 12:31Speaker 1: you said, you know, you're in a bunk bed. It's like,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I think it would be so uncomfortable. Okay, so you
- 12:46Speaker 1: go through that, you're are you a lawyer yet or
- 12:48Speaker 1: are you Where are you at? At that point?
- 12:50Speaker 3: I graduated law school and then instead of so I
- 12:54Speaker 3: like season two was fine. I should have just like
- 12:56Speaker 3: taken the bar exam with all my friends from law
- 12:58Speaker 3: school in the summer of twenty two. That's the only
- 13:01Speaker 3: thing I regat is doing season three. I think in
- 13:03Speaker 3: my mind, I was like, didn't find love in season two? Yeah,
- 13:07Speaker 3: actually had I'm going to do it this time. I
- 13:09Speaker 3: had just turned twenty nine, so all my friends from Houston,
- 13:12Speaker 3: like back home, were getting married, and I really should
- 13:15Speaker 3: have just like taken my bar exam and just moved
- 13:17Speaker 3: on with my life.
- 13:18Speaker 2: But instead I didn't do that.
- 13:20Speaker 3: So I filmed season three and like nothing horrible happens,
- 13:23Speaker 3: but like didn't find love. So I think I had
- 13:26Speaker 3: a time where after that I was like, Okay, I'm
- 13:29Speaker 3: done with this. You know, I thought I wanted to
- 13:32Speaker 3: do entertainment media a lot. Like, stayed in LA for
- 13:35Speaker 3: a little bit, had a baby. My acts who were friends,
- 13:39Speaker 3: still co parents whatever. Then I moved back to Houston
- 13:43Speaker 3: with her, my daughter, reconnected with my husband, got married.
- 13:48Speaker 3: We studied for our bar exams together. I passed it
- 13:52Speaker 3: and so I've been a lawyer almost five years. And
- 13:54Speaker 3: then my husband I also have a daughter together, so
- 13:56Speaker 3: I have two daughters.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I know, congratulations, they're adorable. I was looking at some
- 14:01Speaker 1: pictures earlier, Holland and Aspen. Those are awesome as thank you,
- 14:05Speaker 1: You're welcome. And I like that they're both middle name
- 14:08Speaker 1: Rows too. I think that's very cool.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's funny because everyone growing up always called me
- 14:13Speaker 3: Eric Caros because Eric has such a common name, so
- 14:16Speaker 3: there was always one other Eric on my grade.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Yes, I was Air Crows.
- 14:20Speaker 3: So I felt like with my kids, they just go
- 14:22Speaker 3: buy their first names because their first names are so cool.
- 14:25Speaker 3: But I liked giving them my name is a middle name,
- 14:28Speaker 3: especially because they both have different last names than each other.
- 14:31Speaker 3: You know, yeah, that's last name, and so I thought
- 14:34Speaker 3: like that would be cool.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I think that's super cool actually, And that's a great
- 14:38Speaker 1: way to think about it too. I wasn't even thinking
- 14:40Speaker 1: about the fact that they had different last names. So
- 14:42Speaker 1: that's beautiful ties them together even more.
- 14:45Speaker 3: You know, they're so close and they're funny, and of
- 14:47Speaker 3: course they they're already fighting over clothes, like they wear
- 14:50Speaker 3: the same side and they're four and a half and
- 14:52Speaker 3: six and a half. And the other day Holland was
- 14:54Speaker 3: wearing Asbin's dress and ass like that's mine.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Holland, Like, there are so funny.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Me are they? Are they into fashion? Like do they
- 15:03Speaker 1: love like getting all dressed up and stuff?
- 15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, especially my daughter Holland, But she wants to dress
- 15:08Speaker 3: like I do. So she's always looking for like fashion.
- 15:11Speaker 3: But she's like obsessed with Taylor Swift. I just took
- 15:14Speaker 3: her to the concert. She loved it. But she's very
- 15:17Speaker 3: into like fashion. She's the one that made me get
- 15:20Speaker 3: its TikTok. She's like, mom, we need to make it TikTok.
- 15:24Speaker 1: You guys do the dances all the stuff.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they shattered it than me.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Fun, that's awesome. Now you then from the show you
- 15:34Speaker 1: jump in, so you're you're you're practicing law now right,
- 15:37Speaker 1: everything's going great, and then you get a call to
- 15:40Speaker 1: go on below deck or do you about that?
- 15:45Speaker 3: So how that happened is they were always the blow
- 15:48Speaker 3: deck people. They I think they just somehow get your
- 15:51Speaker 3: email from like I don't even know. They started emailing me,
- 15:54Speaker 3: and it was never a good time to do it.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Besides during twenty twenty, because I did it twice during
- 16:01Speaker 3: twenty twenty. It was like we not a lot of us,
- 16:04Speaker 3: had a lot of things going on with my girlfriend,
- 16:07Speaker 3: so it was kind of like girls trip. It was
- 16:09Speaker 3: a bunch of my friends that we had all lived
- 16:11Speaker 3: in LA at the same time, but now we're all
- 16:14Speaker 3: all over the country. So for once in our lives,
- 16:17Speaker 3: like we had a week off basically to go to
- 16:21Speaker 3: Croatia and do this. And yeah, I owned my own business,
- 16:24Speaker 3: my own law room, so I figured it's good marketing
- 16:26Speaker 3: but also be a fun girls trip. I hadn't done
- 16:29Speaker 3: that since having kids, and I still haven't done it.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Since then.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Literally, yeah, and since my husband didn't come the first time,
- 16:35Speaker 3: it was it was fun and he stayed home and
- 16:38Speaker 3: watched the kids, so that was good. And then he
- 16:40Speaker 3: came back with me last or two summers ago, and
- 16:43Speaker 3: that was very, very chaotic. But so I didn't really
- 16:49Speaker 3: receive negativity when I met with my friends, but I
- 16:51Speaker 3: was surprised at when my husband came with me that
- 16:55Speaker 3: people were getting really nasty, like on social media, just
- 16:59Speaker 3: saying things like people would message me being like, oh girl,
- 17:02Speaker 3: I hope you like get divorce. I feel so bad
- 17:04Speaker 3: for you, or like I feel bad and I'm like, you, guys,
- 17:06Speaker 3: this is not real life. He's a great dad, he's
- 17:10Speaker 3: a really good husband, and it was helpful to me that,
- 17:13Speaker 3: I mean, he was choosing to act a little bit.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Chaotic in my opinion. He was a theater major in
- 17:19Speaker 2: college and I felt like it was he had never
- 17:21Speaker 2: gotten to use that degree.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Made this was his time. Yeah, fine, but.
- 17:26Speaker 2: He's really a nice person for sure.
- 17:29Speaker 3: It was definitely it didn't acpect him to fight with
- 17:32Speaker 3: like my hairdresser, and just like all the things that happened,
- 17:35Speaker 3: it was a lot, but like we have moved on
- 17:38Speaker 3: from it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But it's weird. We know when they're re airing it.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Because we'll still he'll he especially will get like random
- 17:43Speaker 3: people hating on him on Instagram, And the Colodex airings
- 17:47Speaker 3: were like, I guess they're refeeding episodes.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Here we go get well. It says it was one
- 17:52Speaker 1: of the highest rated episodes, so it's probably why, right.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, it was, but it wasn't fun. I think now
- 17:59Speaker 3: that I'm no one like talked badly about me as
- 18:01Speaker 3: a lawyer. I just got Rising Star Super Lawyer, which
- 18:03Speaker 3: is like a really big award.
- 18:05Speaker 1: But that's awesome.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Thank you for Family Law.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's not like you're in a small town either,
- 18:09Speaker 1: you know, you're city.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't like the negativity.
- 18:16Speaker 3: My husband was like, he's literally like the kind of
- 18:19Speaker 3: person that's zero f's given, Like that'sh wucking nuts like
- 18:22Speaker 3: him basically, So.
- 18:24Speaker 2: He really didn't care.
- 18:25Speaker 3: He was sad that I cared, But I think I
- 18:28Speaker 3: took it personally because I don't know why people were
- 18:30Speaker 3: mentioning things about my kids when they weren't on the trip,
- 18:33Speaker 3: So to say that that reflects on us or him
- 18:36Speaker 3: as a parent, I don't get the logical connection. We
- 18:39Speaker 3: were gone that time for three days and the kids
- 18:41Speaker 3: weren't there, and like us, someone acts on a yacht,
- 18:44Speaker 3: you know.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Without la Oh my god. Yeah, it's not how they
- 18:47Speaker 2: act at home with it.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I think, you know, it's so funny, because not funny.
- 18:52Speaker 1: I shouldn't say that, but it's so interesting to me.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It's almost like a like the biggest social science experiment
- 18:57Speaker 1: in the world, right, Like you go on these shows
- 18:59Speaker 1: and and and in the Internet is harsh. I mean, Tristan,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I we talked about of the bunch, but you came
- 19:05Speaker 1: along when you start when you were on The Bachelor,
- 19:08Speaker 1: I think was when it was really kind of starting
- 19:10Speaker 1: off with social media, right, And yeah, we didn't have
- 19:14Speaker 1: it at all when we did the show. So like,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know, if I didn't stumble into a chat room,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I thought everybody loved me, you know, and then I know,
- 19:21Speaker 1: God forbid, you know, my friends would be like, dude,
- 19:24Speaker 1: you know, I.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Think most people did like you from what I wrote.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Oh thank you, you'd be surprised though. I mean I
- 19:30Speaker 1: used to say it. I was like I would, I
- 19:32Speaker 1: tell my wife. Now I'm always like, look back in
- 19:35Speaker 1: the day, I'm like I would see a hundred nice
- 19:37Speaker 1: things about me, and then I'd see one negative thing
- 19:40Speaker 1: and I couldn't get out of my head for like weeks. Right,
- 19:43Speaker 1: And people don't realize the power that that stuff has
- 19:45Speaker 1: on social media because we are real people, and you know,
- 19:48Speaker 1: like you said, your husband doesn't care. I wish I
- 19:50Speaker 1: had that power. I care too much, you know, with me.
- 19:53Speaker 3: And so I just kind of like learned to tune
- 19:55Speaker 3: it out. I used to not block people on Instagram
- 19:58Speaker 3: when they would write something rude. Now I'm just like blocked, blocked,
- 20:01Speaker 3: like I don't want to hear from that. If someone's
- 20:03Speaker 3: come to me with like constructive criticism, that's positive, I'll listen.
- 20:07Speaker 3: But if they're just gonna be hateful, body shaming, whatever
- 20:10Speaker 3: negative prop they're doing, like I'm going to just block
- 20:13Speaker 3: that person because I don't I really don't have time
- 20:15Speaker 3: guard anymore. And yeah, it does get in your psyche
- 20:17Speaker 3: and it does affect you, and it can be so
- 20:20Speaker 3: toxic and hurtful.
- 20:22Speaker 2: So I just no longer entertain it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, well you have to, I mean, especially when you know,
- 20:27Speaker 1: you've got a successful career going, you have a good marriage,
- 20:30Speaker 1: you have great kids. It's like you know, at the
- 20:33Speaker 1: end of the day, you did a few things that
- 20:34Speaker 1: were fun, and you got to go on a you know,
- 20:35Speaker 1: a trip to Croatia, which is a dream of mine.
- 20:37Speaker 2: By the way, you should do it, but not that.
- 20:40Speaker 3: I mean, you've got just go anyways, yeah, you know,
- 20:45Speaker 3: or just go without a yat.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But it's a really beautiful country.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It really is. Now do you what is your is
- 20:52Speaker 1: your heritage? Do you have any like is Croatia.
- 20:55Speaker 3: It was so funny because when I was in Croatia,
- 20:57Speaker 3: so many people thought I was part Yeah, I'm like
- 21:00Speaker 3: I could be.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I thought maybe you were, because yeah, you resemble a
- 21:04Speaker 1: friend of mine. Yeah, she's just got these she's just
- 21:07Speaker 1: very she's got a lot of the Croatian qualities and
- 21:09Speaker 1: they're very beautiful people, obviously, you know, thank you.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I mean it was funny because several people thought that.
- 21:14Speaker 3: But I have like a lot of different ancestry. I've
- 21:17Speaker 3: done my DNA. It's always interesting to find.
- 21:19Speaker 2: Out new things. Yeah, but it's a bunch of stuff.
- 21:24Speaker 1: In Croatia is not in the mix. Huh.
- 21:25Speaker 3: No, it was part Swedish, there was my grandmother was
- 21:29Speaker 3: born in like Turkey, and then I have like Polish
- 21:33Speaker 3: just like kind of everything.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Basically, Yeah, well that's interesting. Are good for you, That's
- 21:37Speaker 1: pretty awesome. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 21:39Speaker 1: I need to get to my We did a twenty
- 21:41Speaker 1: three and meat thing here on the show. And I
- 21:44Speaker 1: was always told growing up that I was American, Indian
- 21:47Speaker 1: and Irish, okay, and nothing else, right, that was it
- 21:50Speaker 1: just like basically these two, you know, main things, and
- 21:54Speaker 1: I didn't know which one had a heavier lean Like
- 21:57Speaker 1: I didn't know if I was more American Indian or
- 21:58Speaker 1: more Irish. I have assumed more Irish, but my dad
- 22:01Speaker 1: was like really dark hair, dark skins. I'm like, maybe
- 22:03Speaker 1: I'm American, Indian, Irish equal split. Come to find out, Uh,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you know, my American Indian numism is like this big,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and you know my Irish, Scottish, German. You have a
- 22:14Speaker 1: million other things, you know, So I'm like, oh, this
- 22:16Speaker 1: isn't what I expected. I was, frankly, I was a
- 22:19Speaker 1: little disappointed because I was kind of like, you know,
- 22:21Speaker 1: I liked being you know, in my mind, being the
- 22:24Speaker 1: sixatic mix, you know, didn't necessarily work out, so who knows.
- 22:29Speaker 2: And it's so interesting.
- 22:30Speaker 3: My husband, my husband didn't do his but his sister did,
- 22:34Speaker 3: and so they found out they have, like part Pacific Islander,
- 22:37Speaker 3: a lot of Greek heritage, which I think is cool.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So a lot of people always think he's Italian, but yeah,
- 22:42Speaker 3: it's funny when you do it and you're I mean,
- 22:44Speaker 3: I hope it's accurate and they're not just making stuff up,
- 22:46Speaker 3: but you.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Know, I hope. So, yeah, that would suck. That would
- 22:51Speaker 1: suck really bad. So now what's going on with you?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Obviously you're practicing law. You're a rising star in your
- 22:59Speaker 1: office there, I mean in his family law. Right, did
- 23:01Speaker 1: your experiences influence that at all? Yes?
- 23:04Speaker 2: They definitely, well kind of.
- 23:06Speaker 3: So I was going to do entertainment media, but then
- 23:08Speaker 3: I told one of my friends in LA I wanted
- 23:10Speaker 3: to do family law. And that is how I met
- 23:13Speaker 3: my daughter, Holland's father. Is that my friend Nikki said,
- 23:17Speaker 3: I know this guy, he does high end family life.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I think he would like working with him, not like
- 23:22Speaker 2: setting a slot. But we were.
- 23:24Speaker 3: Working together for a little bit and then you know,
- 23:28Speaker 3: I really learned a lot from him, and then I
- 23:30Speaker 3: think I was just really ready, and so was he.
- 23:32Speaker 3: He has a child that's a now twenty year old son,
- 23:37Speaker 3: and we were like Christmas shopping one day for gifts
- 23:40Speaker 3: for his church, and he said the biggest thing he
- 23:43Speaker 3: regrets was not having a second child. And I was
- 23:46Speaker 3: thirty thirty one at the time, and I was like
- 23:48Speaker 3: I was just at the moment like okay, you know, yeah, yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 3: but one thing led to another. We were dating, and
- 23:55Speaker 3: it's a very la thing, I guess to say, like
- 23:58Speaker 3: let's just have a baby, like who can?
- 24:00Speaker 2: I was about like getting married, you know, let's see
- 24:01Speaker 2: what happened.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and then after a couple months, like it was
- 24:05Speaker 3: faster than we thought, but we were trying. It was
- 24:08Speaker 3: not like oops, no, like this is like the only time,
- 24:11Speaker 3: but that I was like, I'm ready to be a mom,
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know. So we were pregnant, we thought, we moved
- 24:18Speaker 3: in together, like we kind of we thought about getting married,
- 24:22Speaker 3: tried that out. I mean, we didn't get married, but
- 24:24Speaker 3: thought about it, took it. And it was so crazy
- 24:28Speaker 3: when we went to Jade and Tanner's wedding together.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Yeah that's where we met. That's where we met, where
- 24:34Speaker 1: we met. Knew it. Yes, Yeah, that.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Was such a nice wedding. It was I felt like
- 24:39Speaker 3: they were so in love and that's kind of weird.
- 24:42Speaker 3: But for me, that's when I knew, like, I don't
- 24:44Speaker 3: think that my ex and I should get married because
- 24:48Speaker 3: I wouldn't feel that way and I don't think he
- 24:50Speaker 3: would either, walking.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Down the aisle like they did. And it's okay.
- 24:54Speaker 3: It was a confusing time. I felt pressure, like from
- 24:57Speaker 3: my family that kind of thing. And then I on
- 25:00Speaker 3: this show Chris or on Jade and Tanner's wedding, The
- 25:02Speaker 3: Love Special. Chris was asking me like, when are you
- 25:05Speaker 3: guys going to get married? Because I was already like
- 25:07Speaker 3: a little pregnant. I was like, oh, we'll just have
- 25:09Speaker 3: a shotgun wedding, like just saying all the stuff. But
- 25:13Speaker 3: we took a few steps back and just decided, now
- 25:17Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Yeah, things happened, and move
- 25:20Speaker 3: back to Houston. But now we get along really well
- 25:23Speaker 3: as parents because that's the most important thing. And now
- 25:25Speaker 3: my daughter has two different dat like my husband and
- 25:29Speaker 3: her dad, you know, and that it's definitely taken a
- 25:33Speaker 3: while to get to that moment, but so that's how
- 25:37Speaker 3: I ended up. So going through that experience, I guess, yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 3: it strengthened me with family law because I have a
- 25:43Speaker 3: lot of compassion for my clients and whatever do.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I don't take it lightly.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I'm an impath, so it's hard for me to not
- 25:50Speaker 3: feel they're feelings sometimes and that's the biggest challenge. But
- 25:54Speaker 3: I feel like, based on my own experiences, I can
- 25:56Speaker 3: tell them, like I promise you, there's a light at
- 25:58Speaker 3: the end of the tunnel, Like one day you guys
- 26:00Speaker 3: will get along when they have kids together, because they're not.
- 26:03Speaker 3: You know, it might five years, it might take six years,
- 26:06Speaker 3: but especially when you both have moved on, you know we.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Have, then you can be good friends.
- 26:11Speaker 1: It might be Yeah, you know, it's a little perspective, right,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you just have a little time away. Yeah. And is
- 26:17Speaker 1: he still in La or is he? Did he have
- 26:18Speaker 1: to become Houston too?
- 26:20Speaker 3: In La?
- 26:20Speaker 2: But he was just here over the weekend.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Our daughter performs at a halftime show at the Houston
- 26:25Speaker 3: Dynao Games, So that was so cute. And we go
- 26:29Speaker 3: back and forth, you know, but she lives here, goes
- 26:31Speaker 3: to school here, all that, and he and I agreed
- 26:34Speaker 3: to everything, like we're very much stuff.
- 26:37Speaker 2: And I don't know, it's just it was.
- 26:39Speaker 3: It's been a process, but it's been interesting, but I
- 26:42Speaker 3: feel like it's good.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:44Speaker 3: So Aside from that, I'm launching this thing called Slaying
- 26:48Speaker 3: Down the Law. It's not laying down the law. It's
- 26:50Speaker 3: like slayhing, you know, but it's gonna be like an
- 26:55Speaker 3: internet show. So far, I took some footage at this event.
- 26:59Speaker 3: I had a couple of week go and it was
- 27:00Speaker 3: kind of fun. So we'll just see what happens with that,
- 27:03Speaker 3: because I feel like I always need to creative outlet.
- 27:05Speaker 2: But yeah, expect for me to be in charge of
- 27:08Speaker 2: it this time.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Well, I'm excited about slaying down the Law. That sounds
- 27:22Speaker 1: exciting to me. You know, it is true. It's like
- 27:24Speaker 1: once you go through this process and it's kind of funny.
- 27:27Speaker 1: But one of the critiques you know that everyone always
- 27:29Speaker 1: gets is like, oh, well, you know, you had to
- 27:31Speaker 1: taste of it. You can't get away from it. But
- 27:32Speaker 1: it is one of those things. It is kind of
- 27:34Speaker 1: like it really does get your creative juices flowing, and
- 27:36Speaker 1: you know, you see a show and you're like, I
- 27:38Speaker 1: could do that. You know, I can do something like that.
- 27:41Speaker 1: So good for you, especially when it's something you're passionate about.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good because I'm doing it with Well, my
- 27:46Speaker 3: husband's going to be part of it. And then also
- 27:48Speaker 3: my friend Brandon, and he has like a really different perspective,
- 27:53Speaker 3: a really good one. He's gotten me really involved in
- 27:55Speaker 3: a lot of philanthropy. Like we went to a teen
- 27:58Speaker 3: shelter recently for Easter and like handed out easter baskets,
- 28:02Speaker 3: bought these teenagers girls.
- 28:05Speaker 2: They really touched my heart, you know.
- 28:08Speaker 3: So I've met one and gave her because but the
- 28:11Speaker 3: point is like he gets me out there in the
- 28:12Speaker 3: community doing like hands on volunteering. I feel like in
- 28:16Speaker 3: a different way in other communities that.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't have. So that's going to be part of
- 28:20Speaker 2: it too.
- 28:21Speaker 3: There's just so much, but I feel like it's going
- 28:24Speaker 3: to be cool and we're just Yeah, we shot some
- 28:26Speaker 3: things at like my Rising Stars Super Layer Slash fortieth birthday,
- 28:30Speaker 3: which is That's one thing they don't tell you is
- 28:32Speaker 3: when you go on The Bachelor and you're twenty three,
- 28:34Speaker 3: Like you don't care about your age being.
- 28:36Speaker 2: On the internet, but yeah.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Changes even from thirty nine to forty, Like forty just
- 28:41Speaker 3: looks a lot older, you.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, it does. Wait till you get fifty, fifty
- 28:46Speaker 1: looks a lot older.
- 28:47Speaker 2: You're not no way, You're not fifty right.
- 28:50Speaker 1: Oh, I'm gonna be fifty two. I'm gonna be fifty
- 28:53Speaker 1: two in a week.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I have no idea of it.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Happy, almost terrified.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It's crazy, but you do not look it.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Thanks. Yeah, that's good. That's very sweet of you. You
- 29:02Speaker 1: know it's uh. I basically just soak my body in
- 29:05Speaker 1: as much vibe because I can at all times. And
- 29:08Speaker 1: I think having a four year old and a two
- 29:09Speaker 1: year old has been helpful.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Yeah, girl, do you have a daughter?
- 29:15Speaker 1: I have both boys now, both boys, and you know,
- 29:19Speaker 1: it's it's funny. We Uh. I really thought our second
- 29:23Speaker 1: son was going to be a girl, like if I
- 29:25Speaker 1: were a betting person. At the time, I was like,
- 29:28Speaker 1: we definitely are having a girl. And I was prepared,
- 29:30Speaker 1: like I was. I was excited, you know, my daddy's
- 29:32Speaker 1: little girl. Like you think about all that stuff. But
- 29:35Speaker 1: I look at it now and I'm like, man, it's
- 29:37Speaker 1: the perfect mix for my wife and I. These two
- 29:39Speaker 1: little dudes are oh they're rough and tumble. They just
- 29:43Speaker 1: you know, they tear the house apart. They're going crazy
- 29:45Speaker 1: all the time, and and it's funny. But my wife
- 29:47Speaker 1: is like just a really great boy dad. She's kind
- 29:50Speaker 1: of she's a tomboy, you know, she's just a really
- 29:52Speaker 1: great boy dad. So we would love to have another
- 29:56Speaker 1: one and try and hope for a girl. But I
- 29:58Speaker 1: even said it to the other day. I'm like, I'm
- 30:00Speaker 1: I'm already going to be fifty two. Like I'm already
- 30:03Speaker 1: going to be like the dude you know teat ball
- 30:05Speaker 1: games at Walker, I'll be like seventy.
- 30:09Speaker 3: You know, ex was I think fifty two. He's sixty
- 30:12Speaker 3: one now, so whatever. He was older when we had
- 30:15Speaker 3: our daughter, but I guess you never too.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Old, It's true, but I'm done.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Like my husband before we got married, he's like, I
- 30:22Speaker 3: want one has to be a girl. I thought my
- 30:24Speaker 3: second would be a boy because I love my brother,
- 30:26Speaker 3: and that's just what I thought. But I love having sisters,
- 30:30Speaker 3: and I feel like, for you having brothers, there's something
- 30:32Speaker 3: cool about having a lifelong best friend that when you
- 30:35Speaker 3: have whether when it's a different gen er, you won't
- 30:38Speaker 3: stay best friends for life, sadly because eventually you guys
- 30:41Speaker 3: both get married.
- 30:42Speaker 2: It's just different.
- 30:43Speaker 3: True, Like I was always envious of my friends that
- 30:46Speaker 3: had sisters and the bonds that they had, So I'm
- 30:49Speaker 3: excited for my daughters to have that. Yeah, your sons
- 30:52Speaker 3: will be like the same way.
- 30:54Speaker 1: I think. So do you ever think I mean, do
- 30:56Speaker 1: you and your husband, you and Chuck ever talk about
- 30:58Speaker 1: having another one? You know, you're done?
- 31:00Speaker 3: Like the opposite. He's such a girl dad, to the
- 31:04Speaker 3: point where we even got a boy dog and he
- 31:06Speaker 3: wasn't even vibing with that, so my dad had to
- 31:09Speaker 3: adopt our dog. He has another boy dog. We have
- 31:12Speaker 3: a female cat who my husband loves. But he's just
- 31:15Speaker 3: like the biggest girl dad.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Like.
- 31:16Speaker 3: He loves to come with us to get like how
- 31:18Speaker 3: to cure Yeah, I guess the kids will be like,
- 31:22Speaker 3: let's play. We have a basketball and that at our house,
- 31:24Speaker 3: and the kids want to do that. It's like kind
- 31:26Speaker 3: of up to me. He loves to watch sports. He
- 31:29Speaker 3: went to a and weer into watching sports, but actively
- 31:32Speaker 3: playing them is just not his thing.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Right.
- 31:35Speaker 2: I think it's really good that we have girls.
- 31:38Speaker 1: That's awesome. Well you know what it's I mean, I
- 31:40Speaker 1: think it's great a lot as it works for you guys.
- 31:42Speaker 1: I mean that's amazing, right, That's what really matters. So
- 31:45Speaker 1: at the end of the day, you know, I was
- 31:46Speaker 1: going to ask you, like, when you look back at
- 31:48Speaker 1: your time with the reality TV stuff, because obviously I
- 31:51Speaker 1: know you've you've really moved into a different chapter of
- 31:53Speaker 1: your life with your practice and everything. But do you
- 31:56Speaker 1: ever think like if your daughters were to come to
- 31:58Speaker 1: you and be like, you know, I think, oh my god,
- 31:59Speaker 1: I want to be on this show. I mean, where's
- 32:01Speaker 1: your head on that?
- 32:02Speaker 2: I feel like I would.
- 32:04Speaker 3: They're different people than me, but if they wanted to,
- 32:07Speaker 3: I think they could hold their own And I feel
- 32:09Speaker 3: like I would depending on this show. If the Bachelor's
- 32:12Speaker 3: still around, I don't know if it will be, but
- 32:14Speaker 3: maybe so I would, you know, I don't know. I
- 32:16Speaker 3: feel like I would be a little concerned because I
- 32:20Speaker 3: think I want the best in the world for my daughter.
- 32:22Speaker 3: So I'd be like, no, you don't need to like
- 32:24Speaker 3: compete over one guy. They need to compete over you. Right,
- 32:28Speaker 3: I'm already teaching my daughter things like that she already
- 32:31Speaker 3: a lot of boyfriends. And then the boyfriend like, I
- 32:34Speaker 3: don't know what she's thinking, he kissed her on the tea.
- 32:37Speaker 3: Then she's like, he cheated on me. I'm like, Earl,
- 32:39Speaker 3: you're in kindergarten. Not get that serious. Over all this
- 32:43Speaker 3: oh im doing.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I would let them do it. I mean, if they
- 32:47Speaker 2: were like, I'm gonna go on naked and afraid, I'd
- 32:48Speaker 2: be like, no, yeah, let's not do that. But I
- 32:53Speaker 2: think it's up, you know.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I feel like if they wanted to, they're like, so
- 32:56Speaker 3: I think so highly of them, I would give advice
- 32:59Speaker 3: and guidance, but I wouldn't don't really stop them from
- 33:01Speaker 3: doing anything.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Well, I think you'd probably have some really great advice
- 33:04Speaker 1: to give too, because you, I mean, it seems like
- 33:08Speaker 1: you were cast as a villain because you rolled in
- 33:10Speaker 1: with a tiara, right, And it's like we had that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: We had that on Russ's when we are season with Trista.
- 33:16Speaker 1: When we were on the Bachelorette, a guy named Russ
- 33:18Speaker 1: showed up. He was the only one at this time
- 33:20Speaker 1: that showed up with a gift, right, He showed up
- 33:22Speaker 1: with a box from Tiffany's. So we just thought he's
- 33:24Speaker 1: a jackass, right, even though even though we just didn't
- 33:26Speaker 1: think of it, right. So when you think something different,
- 33:29Speaker 1: you know, you could get kind of pegged in a
- 33:32Speaker 1: certain way. But it's like from your experiences you've you've
- 33:34Speaker 1: probably had a lot of the good, but you also
- 33:36Speaker 1: know how to navigate through the bad.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think that I just have changed a
- 33:40Speaker 3: lot as a person, and I truly am just more
- 33:42Speaker 3: down to earth now.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Honestly, I definitely think I.
- 33:46Speaker 3: Was a little bit like spoiled and entitled back then
- 33:49Speaker 3: to be honest, and then life has experiences that humble
- 33:52Speaker 3: you when things happen.
- 33:53Speaker 2: So I'm trying to raise my daughters to be not
- 33:56Speaker 2: that way, you know what I mean.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I want them to like realizing they realized how hard
- 34:00Speaker 3: I work, and so I just feel like I'm trying
- 34:02Speaker 3: to raise them differently and not complaining at my parents.
- 34:04Speaker 2: But it was a different time. I don't know, but.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like it's part of it is like
- 34:11Speaker 3: I was acting a little like much, but at the
- 34:13Speaker 3: same time, part of it had to be true, you
- 34:16Speaker 3: know what I mean, Like it had to yeah, the
- 34:17Speaker 3: personality at the same time.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Well, I mean, we didn't talk about you, but you
- 34:20Speaker 1: also ended up on that kind of intervention show that
- 34:24Speaker 1: you were cut off, right, I Mean, there was that show.
- 34:26Speaker 3: That was like really life changing to the point where
- 34:29Speaker 3: like they actually convinced us that if we didn't graduate
- 34:32Speaker 3: from this program that we would remain cut off. And
- 34:34Speaker 3: I think we wanted to believe it. But somehow we
- 34:38Speaker 3: really did believe it because they played messages from our
- 34:40Speaker 3: parents and then we were like so concerned about graduating
- 34:44Speaker 3: that program, and I was so happy.
- 34:46Speaker 2: When I graduated. My mom came out.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I was so mad at my dad because I'm like,
- 34:50Speaker 3: you've seen it come to my graduation.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Show.
- 34:55Speaker 3: But it was I mean, I also made a lifelong
- 34:57Speaker 3: front on that. My friend Jess, she was on the
- 35:00Speaker 3: first flow deck trip with me. But that was like
- 35:02Speaker 3: a really meaningful experience. It was kind of like therapy.
- 35:06Speaker 3: I don't really even know what it was. We had
- 35:08Speaker 3: a life coach. It's pretty amazing, and I think that
- 35:12Speaker 3: it was good for us. We had to actually live
- 35:13Speaker 3: on a budget. There was one week my friends and
- 35:16Speaker 3: I were like do we want cheese its or box wine?
- 35:18Speaker 2: Like at the.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Grocery star and we were like can we afford both
- 35:22Speaker 3: cheeses and boxed wine? And then after that like box
- 35:25Speaker 3: wine is my thing? Like I'd show up to parties
- 35:27Speaker 3: thinking it was like really cool, so like bring box wine.
- 35:30Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's awesome.
- 35:31Speaker 3: But yeah, that show was really it was life changing.
- 35:34Speaker 3: I felt like, for sure, yeah.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So you did get something out of this whole experience definitely. Well, well,
- 35:40Speaker 1: I love checking in with you, and thank you so
- 35:42Speaker 1: much for coming on the show and for talking to

- 35:49Speaker 1: no way that you know that Eric Rose was on
- 35:52Speaker 1: an OG style season, and I started looking at like,
- 35:54Speaker 1: oh my god, yes she was.
- 35:55Speaker 3: I know.
- 35:56Speaker 2: I was twenty three and I'm forty. Craziness, right, it
- 36:00Speaker 2: is crazy.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Well, you don't look forty, I mean, And I'm so
- 36:04Speaker 1: glad for all your success and for the beautiful kids
