- 1:22Speaker 1: Thanks for joining us here on a Wednesday Tomorrow. The
- 1:26Speaker 1: Clark Eisenhower Outdoor Edition. UH College World Series. Thought going
- 1:35Speaker 1: in that North Carolina and Georgia were the two best
- 1:38Speaker 1: teams in Omaha. That still certainly may be proved to
- 1:43Speaker 1: be true. Oklahoma has had has played one less game, right, yes,
- 1:51Speaker 1: And I don't know for the Georgia's pitch, like all
- 1:58Speaker 1: Americans against Tech is we'll see what happened. I mean,
- 2:04Speaker 1: they played a close game the other night, a really
- 2:06Speaker 1: close game before the three game, and it'll be interesting
- 2:12Speaker 1: to see what happens this evening.
- 2:15Speaker 6: Yeah, you know, I think if if Georgia wins the
- 2:20Speaker 6: game and forces the ultimate one, what if in that
- 2:24Speaker 6: side the bracket, I think North Carolina's gonna win the
- 2:27Speaker 6: championship because.
- 2:28Speaker 1: They would from playing the extra game, you mean.
- 2:30Speaker 6: From playing the extra game, getting your pitching off to
- 2:34Speaker 6: where uh, North Carolina would have their number one.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Pitcher ready to go, ready to go game one.
- 2:40Speaker 6: And you would have to be throwing your three. That's
- 2:43Speaker 6: how U. C. L A Wrote South Carolina's winning you know,
- 2:48Speaker 6: three game winning streak of winning the World Series, because
- 2:52Speaker 6: they still went three games. But he also got the
- 2:54Speaker 6: game three and with nothing left in the three game
- 2:59Speaker 6: championship series. So I would not be surprised if that
- 3:02Speaker 6: that happens. If Oklahoma wins, I would think that North
- 3:07Speaker 6: Carolina would still be the favorite. But the suitors aren't run.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Yeah they are, they're on a run. I think they
- 3:15Speaker 1: surprised everybody the other night with the wind but they
- 3:18Speaker 1: are definitely on a run and it'll be it'll be,
- 3:23Speaker 1: it'll be fun to watch. You know, Georgia's had to
- 3:26Speaker 1: you know, they scratched and clawed obviously, but you know
- 3:34Speaker 1: they didn't hit the ball last night. But nobody hit
- 3:37Speaker 1: the ball last night. You know, wind blowing in two
- 3:41Speaker 1: really good pitchers, and that's just you know, that's how
- 3:46Speaker 1: the game works. I don't know whether the winds blowing
- 3:49Speaker 1: in or out today. I know there were a lot
- 3:51Speaker 1: of runs scoring that first game. It makes me feel
- 3:54Speaker 1: like the winds bull was blowing out today.
- 3:56Speaker 6: It does not play well for Oklahoma if the wind's.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Blown out, right exactly, But you know, we haven't seen
- 4:07Speaker 1: you know, I'm looking at this. I wouldn't say Georgia's
- 4:14Speaker 1: bats exploded against Texas. You know, they had some unearned runs.
- 4:18Speaker 1: They didn't pound the ball. I'm talking about the first game.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I was talking about the seven to one game, right,
- 4:24Speaker 1: even then they had that huge first inning, and there
- 4:28Speaker 1: were a couple of errors in the first inning, right,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and so they haven't really hit the ball in Obaha,
- 4:35Speaker 1: the way we saw them all year. Now, we knew
- 4:38Speaker 1: coming in that the stadium could be I mean it's large, right,
- 4:42Speaker 1: But the way Georgia hits the ball, they can hit
- 4:45Speaker 1: it out of any stadium. I just don't think they've
- 4:48Speaker 1: hit the ball consistently the way they hit it before
- 4:52Speaker 1: they got to Omaha. Now some of that's pitching, right,
- 4:55Speaker 1: They've seen good pitching.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Yes, And they also are playing in a bandbox.
- 5:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and we talked about that.
- 5:02Speaker 6: Yeah, which is even shorter than.
- 5:05Speaker 1: But Jackson's like one of twelve or something like that,
- 5:09Speaker 1: one of thirteen. You know, he hasn't hit yet. You
- 5:14Speaker 1: really expect him to hit. Yes, if he doesn't hit,
- 5:18Speaker 1: that could be problematic tonight for you know, for Georgia.
- 5:23Speaker 1: They need him, Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 6: They do. And twenty four percent of the home runs
- 5:28Speaker 6: that Oklahoma has hit this season have come in the
- 5:31Speaker 6: nc DOUBLEA Tournament. Wow, Okay, so twenty four of their
- 5:37Speaker 6: eighty four Yeah, they came in the NCUBA Tournament with sixty.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Home run you're talking about Oklahoma, Oklahoma? Yeah, yeah, Yeah.
- 5:45Speaker 6: The first five guys in the lineup for Georgia had
- 5:48Speaker 6: more home runs than Oklahoma had as a team. So,
- 5:55Speaker 6: but they've got on a run and they are the
- 5:58Speaker 6: team that got into the NCAA Tournament and saw that, Hey,
- 6:04Speaker 6: we're not getting our nose bloodied every weekend because we're
- 6:07Speaker 6: not playing SEC teams. Again, what has happened before, but
- 6:11Speaker 6: what just happened before.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why.
- 6:13Speaker 6: That's why I Ole missed the last team in win
- 6:16Speaker 6: and won a national championship for the same exact same
- 6:19Speaker 6: thing that, Hey, this isn't as hard as the regular season,
- 6:24Speaker 6: and we didn't fall into the loser's bracket in any
- 6:27Speaker 6: of these in any of these games, So I don't
- 6:31Speaker 6: think it's like the bubble will burst. I just think
- 6:34Speaker 6: that they got on a run and got their confidence
- 6:36Speaker 6: because they weren't seeing SEC teams during this.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Run against Georgia. And I'll quit it this. Texas had
- 6:47Speaker 1: one run in eighteen innings, they had eight singles, their
- 6:53Speaker 1: only run was unearned on a double play. And the
- 6:58Speaker 1: two losses to Joe Georgia. That sounds like football.
- 7:03Speaker 6: He sounds like football.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I mean, they're getting dominated.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Didn't Texas win a game against Georgia?
- 7:11Speaker 1: Have they ever been Georgia?
- 7:12Speaker 6: Did they get mad and throw trash on the field
- 7:14Speaker 6: and got to win.
- 7:15Speaker 1: No, they didn't get a win.
- 7:17Speaker 6: They didn't win that game.
- 7:18Speaker 1: They did not.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Oh, the referees tried to take it from Georgia. Is
- 7:21Speaker 6: that why they were talking to the Georgia coach because
- 7:23Speaker 6: they won, but the refs tried to take it from us.
- 7:26Speaker 1: The refs tried to take the game from Georgia. Correct,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and they still what said?
- 7:32Speaker 6: I think that's what Kirby said.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Okay, but they still won.
- 7:35Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you can't. You can't throwing that trash
- 7:38Speaker 6: on the field. It's still a damn coaching mistake. It
- 7:40Speaker 6: weren't great, and that the.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Players are playing hard, the coaches are screwing it up.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So you're Michigan State. Yeah, John Smith love that.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Do you think do you think that that Georgia basketball
- 8:00Speaker 6: can start beating Texas?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Now?
- 8:02Speaker 6: They did?
- 8:03Speaker 1: Yes, they did.
- 8:04Speaker 6: You're kidding me.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I'm not kidding you. Georgia beat Texas is the only
- 8:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Vic Shaffer is the only coach Thato knows
- 8:10Speaker 1: how to beat Georgia. I think I don't know about tennis.
- 8:14Speaker 1: I don't know about any of the other minor sports.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I don't know anything about that. I think Vic Shaeffer,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I don't even know if they played this year. Do
- 8:23Speaker 1: they have to play everybody? Okay, well, then he probably
- 8:26Speaker 1: beat Georgia. So yeah, there wasn't there're one sport and
- 8:31Speaker 1: four against against Georgia. They're not doing in the Big
- 8:35Speaker 1: Sports and the Big Sports SEC Championship odds. Now that
- 8:40Speaker 1: Brendan Sowersby is out of the league, we could talk
- 8:42Speaker 1: about odds and Betty. Can't we what are.
- 8:46Speaker 6: We just going to pass? You know we watched for
- 8:49Speaker 6: an hour last week.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Well, I think yes, but I think federal, didn't I.
- 8:55Speaker 6: Say, eventually it was going to become a federal case.
- 8:57Speaker 6: I thought it was going to become a federal case
- 8:59Speaker 6: because of betting across state lines. I didn't think the
- 9:02Speaker 6: lawsuit from the Big twelve would come in as being
- 9:06Speaker 6: a federal case. I thought that there would be federal
- 9:08Speaker 6: charges brought against him because he was breaking federal law byes.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I'll tell you, I will say this. I'm very uncomfortable
- 9:16Speaker 1: about having the words federal and college sports together. I
- 9:22Speaker 1: realize they've been asked. I've said it many times. If
- 9:26Speaker 1: you like the way the federal government works and uses
- 9:29Speaker 1: your tax money, then you ought to be thrilled with
- 9:31Speaker 1: them getting involved with college sports.
- 9:33Speaker 6: I am not can any worse than no rules at all?
- 9:38Speaker 1: I think it can. I think it could go from
- 9:41Speaker 1: no rules at all to five hundred pages.
- 9:48Speaker 6: You know, it's not anymore.
- 9:49Speaker 1: There's no rules, like you just said. But I've uncomfortable
- 9:54Speaker 1: with that, and I don't I still don't think it's
- 9:57Speaker 1: going to happen because I don't think they can get
- 9:58Speaker 1: together in Washington to make anything happened, to do any bills.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I just don't think that's going to happen. Yeah, the
- 10:06Speaker 1: Soresby thing. Did you read Kirt Bulls call him? Do
- 10:11Speaker 1: you get the Chronicle?
- 10:12Speaker 7: Uh?
- 10:13Speaker 1: Yes, you read his column yesterday. It was great. He
- 10:16Speaker 1: said everything that that I would want to say about it.
- 10:19Speaker 1: And and does anybody uh think at all that if
- 10:24Speaker 1: Soresby was a third team offensive tackle, anybody would know
- 10:27Speaker 1: his name? No, No, of course not. He He would
- 10:33Speaker 1: have been kicked off the team that would have issued
- 10:36Speaker 1: a release say, Texas Tech does not tolerate this kind
- 10:39Speaker 1: of behavior. It's bad for college sports.
- 10:41Speaker 6: You mean that they that they voted on six months ago.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I'm talking about the gambling.
- 10:46Speaker 6: I'm talking about gambling that they stood up six months
- 10:49Speaker 6: ago and said, right, gambling's bad, right until they had
- 10:52Speaker 6: a player they got caught with the hand in the
- 10:55Speaker 6: cookie jar.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And a player and a player they needed. Yes, But
- 10:59Speaker 1: but again, it just happens to be Texas Tech. And
- 11:04Speaker 1: and if how many other schools would it would have
- 11:09Speaker 1: I would have done that.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Those guys. Schools have run those guys off.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I'm not saying some don't haven't basketball player or some wouldn't.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm just saying Texas Tech ain't the only school that would.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Everybody's shocked, and I'm going I'm not shocked because this is.
- 11:30Speaker 6: This is where the whole time that he was doing
- 11:33Speaker 6: exactly we have.
- 11:34Speaker 1: This is where we are in college athletics. In other words,
- 11:38Speaker 1: it's like, what can be worse? We had guys with
- 11:42Speaker 1: guns with with deaths involved, uh in college basketball before
- 11:48Speaker 1: they were still playing.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Uh.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Is anybody surprised that that it's gone to this level.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm not surprised it's gone to this level, right, I'm
- 11:58Speaker 1: not at all surprised. And this is this is just
- 12:01Speaker 1: like where we are. And as you just mentioned and
- 12:04Speaker 1: coaches have mentioned, and everybody who follows the sport is mentioned,
- 12:08Speaker 1: it's the wild West out there. Now. We grew up
- 12:13Speaker 1: when there was a payroll to meet, and it was
- 12:16Speaker 1: and it was the wild West a little bit at
- 12:19Speaker 1: that point. But this makes that look really tame, doesn't it.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I mean a trans am, I mean, good gosh, a player, Well,
- 12:27Speaker 1: you can't even turn a player's head with a trans
- 12:29Speaker 1: am today, No, I mean, but I also.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Think chip that when it came to it that Texas
- 12:35Speaker 6: Tech said, we're not going to ask you for money back.
- 12:39Speaker 6: And when they said that, it's my opinions. When they
- 12:44Speaker 6: said you can keep the money we've given you, just
- 12:47Speaker 6: go away, they were happy to do it.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh absolutely, they they got I don't know why
- 12:55Speaker 1: they were so shocked, but they got smoked in the
- 12:57Speaker 1: court of public opinion, right, they just got killed. I
- 13:02Speaker 1: don't know if this would have happened twenty five years
- 13:04Speaker 1: ago without social media, frankly, because it's twenty four to
- 13:09Speaker 1: seven now, right, and it's just constant and you even
- 13:12Speaker 1: have people that don't matter, that don't make any decisions,
- 13:15Speaker 1: you know, weighing in on how horrible everything is. So
- 13:19Speaker 1: I'm not even sure that would have happened, you know,
- 13:21Speaker 1: that long ago. But you're right, they got killed and again, rightly,
- 13:27Speaker 1: so they got smoked in the court of public opinion.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Well, twenty minute video on Sunday was terrible.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It was, it was a joke. It was it was horrible.
- 13:36Speaker 1: They if you haven't seen it, it's the president, it's
- 13:39Speaker 1: Cody Campbell, it's the athletic director, supposedly in charge of
- 13:44Speaker 1: all this stuff, and it was head coach Joey McGuire.
- 13:46Speaker 1: There's four of them videoing around the table explaining why
- 13:50Speaker 1: they did what they did and that they're above reproach
- 13:53Speaker 1: and everything they do and they're only about the kid,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and you know, we and that was after we'd had
- 14:00Speaker 1: to release, you know, with the coach and with Cody Campbell.
- 14:05Speaker 1: But the video was really embarrassing. It's just very embarrassing.
- 14:09Speaker 1: And they just they wouldn't they wouldn't look and say, hey,
- 14:16Speaker 1: maybe we made the wrong choice here, right, Maybe we
- 14:20Speaker 1: made the wrong decision, Maybe we ought to revisit this.
- 14:22Speaker 1: They kept doubling down, and that's what I think just
- 14:27Speaker 1: killed them. If they would have come out immediately after
- 14:32Speaker 1: all of this stuff happened and after all of the
- 14:34Speaker 1: firestorm and said, you know what, we've reconsidered, you're right,
- 14:38Speaker 1: we made a wrong choice. We wouldn't be talking about
- 14:42Speaker 1: it today, we'd be onto something else today. But they
- 14:45Speaker 1: just kept doubling down about how they were right and
- 14:51Speaker 1: that's what just killed them, right, So their pr guy
- 14:54Speaker 1: needs to be fired. I don't know who.
- 14:56Speaker 6: Did it and helped them win. The attorney general running
- 14:58Speaker 6: for state first correct said that the law in the
- 15:04Speaker 6: state of Texas say this right, right, And then all
- 15:06Speaker 6: these other ag.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Started saying, no, that doesn't We're going to sue you.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I get it. I mean, yeah, that didn't help things.
- 15:15Speaker 1: But it should never come to that. But it did.
- 15:20Speaker 1: And and but if they don't win, now, oh they.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Had well, but if they don't, if they.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Don't, you think that Texas Tech has has become a
- 15:30Speaker 1: circle date on most calendars now and before now, yes,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I will say this because of last year, there wasn't
- 15:38Speaker 1: going to be. They weren't going to waltz into any
- 15:40Speaker 1: stadium and have a team think, oh it's Texas Tech
- 15:43Speaker 1: because they knew they were good, right, they knew it
- 15:45Speaker 1: was a good program. But now it's become more emotional. Right.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It hadn't just become physical, it's become no, we're we're
- 15:52Speaker 1: going to beat them down, right.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Whereas you really basically had b Yu carrying that chip
- 15:58Speaker 6: on the yeah. Yeah, after after losing the championship.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but now everyone's got them circled, right, So yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: it's going to be different. But hey, if you if
- 16:09Speaker 1: you want to run with the big dogs, you're gonna
- 16:12Speaker 1: have it circle.
- 16:13Speaker 6: Okay, why don't you coming to Buck I will teach
- 16:15Speaker 6: you what you need to know about being everybody's super Bowl?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yes, yes, exactly.
- 16:21Speaker 6: I mean we're Georgia super Bowl? Is that too soon?
- 16:24Speaker 1: Georgia super Bowl?
- 16:26Speaker 6: Is Texas Georgia super No?
- 16:27Speaker 1: Heck no, Texas is just somebody else. For Georgia, it's like,
- 16:31Speaker 1: give it, give us a game. At least they at
- 16:34Speaker 1: least be competitive. I mean, come on, but I think that.
- 16:42Speaker 6: If if, if you know, if they're galvanized and they
- 16:45Speaker 6: have success and they win and the quarterback who's hurt
- 16:49Speaker 6: comes back can play, Yeah, okay, that's fine. If they don't,
- 16:53Speaker 6: it is this all happened because everybody turned against us?
- 16:58Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:58Speaker 1: I mean, look, you don't you think I mean from
- 17:02Speaker 1: their side, it's going to be us against the world anyway.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I mean, whether he stayed or now that he's gone,
- 17:07Speaker 1: it's us against the world, right, yes.
- 17:11Speaker 6: So now they just went through this with softball chip
- 17:15Speaker 6: because they bought this whole team. Yeah, they campered with
- 17:20Speaker 6: players that were still playing, signed them to contract.
- 17:23Speaker 1: They got they got to the title game two years ago.
- 17:25Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying is chip but college softball, except
- 17:29Speaker 6: for Florida State and Texas A and M, Texas Tech,
- 17:33Speaker 6: was a pariah and we weren't going to play them.
- 17:36Speaker 6: They didn't none of the powers.
- 17:39Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 17:40Speaker 6: The only four games they played against power Power four
- 17:45Speaker 6: team were A and M and Florida State, okay, and
- 17:49Speaker 6: non conference. Everything else was in their league or it
- 17:53Speaker 6: was mid majors. No one would play them. The huge
- 17:57Speaker 6: tournament out of California, they played the Japanese national team
- 18:00Speaker 6: because Stanford and USC said, I mean, you see, I said,
- 18:05Speaker 6: we're not going to play our players that you bought
- 18:07Speaker 6: away from us, that we're seeing play against. We're not
- 18:10Speaker 6: going to play you. And we've got the stroke in
- 18:12Speaker 6: this tournament out in California, We're not going to do it.
- 18:15Speaker 6: So the softball world turned against them.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Yeah, but but that's different because we're talking to, you know,
- 18:22Speaker 1: all these teams and said we're not playing them, or
- 18:24Speaker 1: you know, before all of this happened, Right, It's like
- 18:27Speaker 1: there's there's TV contracts, you can't not play them, right,
- 18:32Speaker 1: I mean you can't in the future, that's what. But
- 18:34Speaker 1: within the conference you can't, yes, and and but in
- 18:39Speaker 1: the future, if you want to make a statement, you can,
- 18:41Speaker 1: like like schedule at games. Right, some schools have already said,
- 18:46Speaker 1: even with this happening, we're not going to play the.
- 18:49Speaker 6: Right because what is going to happen with the next guy?
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, So I just.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Think that I think that they're there pariah right now.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Uh you know they're winning, okay by going out and
- 19:01Speaker 6: buying the best portal players they can in softball and
- 19:06Speaker 6: in football. Okay, basketball and basketball. Well actually they kept
- 19:10Speaker 6: one of theirs. They but they had a portal top
- 19:13Speaker 6: portal guy went to Florida, didn't he or where did there?
- 19:16Speaker 1: Yeah? They leave last year.
- 19:18Speaker 6: That was really really good on that team that made
- 19:21Speaker 6: a deep runt. But what I'm saying is if you
- 19:24Speaker 6: don't start winning, then people are going to say, what's
- 19:29Speaker 6: going on there? You got the best team money can buy.
- 19:33Speaker 6: Why can't you win?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Okay? Look, that's that's gonna happen at every major school,
- 19:40Speaker 1: every major school. It's going to happen here. If A
- 19:42Speaker 1: and M doesn't win, okay, why can't you win? We've
- 19:46Speaker 1: spent a lot of money. Yes, I mean that's gonna
- 19:48Speaker 1: happen everywhere, not just at Texas.
- 19:50Speaker 6: I think it's it's more at Tech.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I don't agree with that. I don't think that's true.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Now Tech has the reputation. I do think that's true. Right,
- 19:58Speaker 1: they have this reputation, and they helped create the reputation.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And Cody Campbell has been upfront about that. I talk
- 20:06Speaker 1: with guys about this Monday and with Louis. It's like
- 20:11Speaker 1: there are lots of Cody Campbell's in the United States
- 20:15Speaker 1: behind major athletic programs. Yes, they just don't want their
- 20:18Speaker 1: names out there. Cody Campbell likes the attention and he
- 20:22Speaker 1: doesn't mind, you know, having the arrow shot at him.
- 20:24Speaker 1: He enjoys that.
- 20:25Speaker 8: Right.
- 20:26Speaker 1: There are other guys that write just as big as checks.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But we don't know their names right now, Scott right,
- 20:31Speaker 1: because they've been behind the scenes and they would to
- 20:34Speaker 1: keep it that way. But I promise you any school
- 20:37Speaker 1: this day and age that is quote all in on
- 20:41Speaker 1: trying to win the national championship in the two big sports.
- 20:45Speaker 1: If they don't win, their fan base not gonna be happy.
- 20:48Speaker 6: About Kentucky basketball. Yes, yeah, after buying the shooter from
- 20:52Speaker 6: Iowa State.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Oh my gosh.
- 20:54Speaker 6: If he doesn't win, he's done. Yeah yeah, I mean
- 20:57Speaker 6: win the national championship.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Yes, I'm seeing of it. I think it is.
- 21:01Speaker 6: If they don't win the national championship, he's already on
- 21:03Speaker 6: thin ice.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Oh, he's on thin ice. Yeah, I mean they have
- 21:06Speaker 1: to go deep. I don't know if they have to
- 21:08Speaker 1: win the whole thing, but they better go. You think
- 21:10Speaker 1: a Kentucky they.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Don't have to win it all, they have to win
- 21:13Speaker 6: the whole thing.
- 21:13Speaker 1: I mean, that's that's the pressure you coach with at
- 21:16Speaker 1: Kentucky with basketball.
- 21:17Speaker 6: If if if you have a manning quarterback in your team,
- 21:23Speaker 6: and the Longhorns can't be there's no question about that.
- 21:26Speaker 1: If they don't, if they if they if they don't
- 21:28Speaker 1: get to the playoffs this year, no question, I mean
- 21:31Speaker 1: no question. But but that's that's going to be the
- 21:33Speaker 1: case in a lot of schools because that's just that's
- 21:36Speaker 1: what the money does, right, It just creates even more.
- 21:40Speaker 1: And the pressure was already there to win. Don't get
- 21:42Speaker 1: me wrong. On all these big universities, they expect to win, right,
- 21:48Speaker 1: they expect to win. And if they don't win. People
- 21:51Speaker 1: are unhappy now. The people are really unhappy because if
- 21:55Speaker 1: you're writing seven figure checks to win and you're not
- 21:58Speaker 1: seeing your money's earth, well what do you think?
- 22:01Speaker 6: And your player that I bought isn't performing it and.
- 22:04Speaker 1: A player ain't performing at that level.
- 22:05Speaker 6: Because that's once again we're back to what it used
- 22:08Speaker 6: to be. Well that's my player.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah, when.
- 22:12Speaker 6: I'm at the Dallas Club in downtown Dallas and.
- 22:15Speaker 1: He comes with me and and.
- 22:18Speaker 6: All of a sudden, yes, you're not first team All Conference. Yeah,
- 22:23Speaker 6: well why did I give that?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I have been saying that now for about four years
- 22:29Speaker 1: as this thing has ramped up, right, and you keep
- 22:33Speaker 1: going back to the same people and said we need
- 22:36Speaker 1: to tackle nickas that guy said, I wrote a big
- 22:38Speaker 1: check last year because you told me you needed to
- 22:40Speaker 1: tackle Yeah, well he didn't he you know, it wasn't
- 22:42Speaker 1: as good as we thought. He couldn't get the intricacies
- 22:46Speaker 1: of our scheme or whatever. Yes, I mean some of
- 22:49Speaker 1: these guys didn't get Richmond for being stupid. They're not
- 22:52Speaker 1: going to continue writing seven figure checks if they don't
- 22:56Speaker 1: get the results. And everybody can't win, right, everybody in
- 23:04Speaker 1: the SSC can't win.
- 23:06Speaker 6: That's why they're not going to have a forty team
- 23:08Speaker 6: super conference because somebody's got to lose.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Somebody's got to lose. And good time, Charlie's got the Blues.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Yeah, so you're not going to You're not gonna You've got.
- 23:18Speaker 1: To have somebody to lose.
- 23:20Speaker 6: You have to have somebody to lose without a doubt.
- 23:23Speaker 6: So the yellowood guy has gone through coach after coach
- 23:26Speaker 6: at Auburn. YEP, because I gave all this money.
- 23:29Speaker 1: And I don't have any results and I don't have
- 23:31Speaker 1: any results. That's just, Hey, that's the world you live in, man.
- 23:34Speaker 1: That's just that's the world that that is right now,
- 23:38Speaker 1: and it ain't changing, right, it ain't changing. There are
- 23:41Speaker 1: there are I will say again, there are quite a
- 23:46Speaker 1: few Cody Campbell's in the world of college football. You
- 23:48Speaker 1: just don't know their names.
- 23:51Speaker 6: I know the one at Michigan.
- 23:53Speaker 1: We know Oregon. We know Oregon, right, I mean, we
- 23:56Speaker 1: just we know a few. I'm not saying that, but
- 23:59Speaker 1: there are a lot more than whose names we don't
- 24:02Speaker 1: know because they gotta add money.
- 24:05Speaker 6: But guess what, Michigan's got a new coach now because
- 24:08Speaker 6: the powers that be decided that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Well, they couldn't really keep the old coach. They could
- 24:13Speaker 1: have if he'd won enough games, but he.
- 24:15Speaker 6: Didn't win enough games.
- 24:16Speaker 1: They did not.
- 24:17Speaker 6: And I don't know what came before the heart, the
- 24:20Speaker 6: cart or the horse on that one. Anyway, Right, maybe
- 24:22Speaker 6: the pressure cracked to him because he knew he was
- 24:25Speaker 6: on the short leash.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe I'm not gonna excuse what he did.
- 24:29Speaker 6: No, but I'm saying, all of these guys, the guy
- 24:32Speaker 6: at Oregon at least is going to the playoffs.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, he's winning, okay pretty soon. If he
- 24:37Speaker 1: doesn't win, it all won't be enough.
- 24:39Speaker 6: Yes, what if crystalble this quarterback he took from Duke? Now, mensa,
- 24:44Speaker 6: guess what if he can't play even after even after
- 24:48Speaker 6: two straight.
- 24:49Speaker 1: I get I get it. You're gonna say that about
- 24:52Speaker 1: everybody now, everybody. And if I don't think it's gonna happen,
- 24:58Speaker 1: But if it ever goes to twenty four, good gosh,
- 25:01Speaker 1: can you imagine being number twenty five? Now it's already
- 25:04Speaker 1: bad at twelve, right, teams are already saying, hey, there's
- 25:07Speaker 1: twelve teams. If we can't be one of the twelve,
- 25:09Speaker 1: and look at the money we're spending. You just mentioned
- 25:13Speaker 1: the guy in Austin, I mean, you know, and he's
- 25:16Speaker 1: been pretty good. Okay, he's been pretty good. They had
- 25:19Speaker 1: to make it last year at all? Hey one year,
- 25:22Speaker 1: he need to make it. That's like pama, hey, same thing.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Would it make it or you made it? Just got
- 25:30Speaker 1: beat down, right, they got beat down. They are not
- 25:36Speaker 1: used to that in tuscer Loosa getting beaten down like
- 25:40Speaker 1: Indiana beat them down. So that's just that's the world which.
- 25:45Speaker 6: Only the only people that are happy are Indiana exactly.
- 25:50Speaker 1: That's the only that's the only team that's happy.
- 25:52Speaker 6: The only you know, does it upset if Cody Campbell
- 25:57Speaker 6: had lost to Oklahoma? Do you think he'd be upset
- 25:59Speaker 6: as an upset he is about losing the Texas.
- 26:02Speaker 1: No, probably not, Yeah, probably not. But hey, again, that's
- 26:08Speaker 1: just that's where we are, man, that's where we are.
- 26:11Speaker 1: We're out for now. We'll talk next week. Meant to
- 26:17Speaker 1: talk about Ed Harget being the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Congratulations to him. Still remember the sixty eight Cotton Bowl
- 26:23Speaker 1: in that season? So pretty cool.
- 26:25Speaker 6: Do you remember the Texas Tech game? How'd that go for?
- 26:29Speaker 1: It didn't go well for Tech? Ed Harget ran the
- 26:32Speaker 1: winning touchdown then right there in Lubbock and quieted a
- 26:35Speaker 1: lot of those fans. They weren't throwing tortillas in They're
- 26:37Speaker 1: probably throwing, you know, whiskey bottles. Destination Brian. You can

- 30:01Speaker 1: up with Bunny xo.
- 30:04Speaker 7: Oh yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Legal documents cited irreconcilable differences. He filed the divorce petition

- 30:24Speaker 1: just less than ten years after the day of separation

- 30:52Speaker 1: a moving truck outside their home this week. Hours before
- 30:59Speaker 1: the new broke, Bunny Xo shared a set of cryptic
- 31:05Speaker 1: Instagram stories, posting a photo of herself in lingerie like
- 31:15Speaker 1: you do, the text reading She's getting her sparkle back.
- 31:23Speaker 1: She reported a screenshot of a text message to her
- 31:26Speaker 1: Instagram stories that read, come here, let me show you
- 31:30Speaker 1: what love feels like, played over j Cole's Power Trip.
- 31:38Speaker 1: She then reposted a snoop Dog Instagram reel which included
- 31:45Speaker 1: the text you're embarrassing cut it out. The video then
- 31:50Speaker 1: read me about to take it up a notch with
- 31:54Speaker 1: a monkey dancing next to the overlay. It sounds like
- 31:59Speaker 1: by the XO has some issues.
- 32:03Speaker 7: Sounds like a conscious uncompling.
- 32:05Speaker 1: It is a very conscious uncoupling. The pair met, of course,
- 32:11Speaker 1: had a jelly Roll concert in Vegas engaged in the
- 32:19Speaker 1: same evening of the proposal Tide the Knot at a
- 32:23Speaker 1: courthouse ceremony. Returned in twenty twenty three to renew their
- 32:30Speaker 1: wedding vows. They were last seen at the Grammys in February,
- 32:36Speaker 1: packing on the PDA. But alas, it's just it's devastating.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Frankly to one.
- 32:47Speaker 10: Of us, it is actually kind of sad because if
- 32:50Speaker 10: you know anything about their story, which I don't expect
- 32:52Speaker 10: you to do, and I don't even know why I
- 32:54Speaker 10: do but I know that.
- 32:56Speaker 7: She was a very much like a motherly figure and
- 32:58Speaker 7: helped him get out of you know, the dark places
- 33:01Speaker 7: in this list.
- 33:02Speaker 10: She has a lot of dark places too, So you know,
- 33:05Speaker 10: what can you do here?
- 33:08Speaker 7: So a happier story?
- 33:09Speaker 1: Okay?
- 33:09Speaker 5: Good?
- 33:09Speaker 6: Shall we Yeah?
- 33:10Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 33:11Speaker 10: Taylor Taylor Swift maybe in the final stages of planning
- 33:14Speaker 10: her highly anticipated wedding, but that ain't keeping her away
- 33:17Speaker 10: from her happy place, which is the recording studio ship.
- 33:22Speaker 10: She was seen arriving in New York City's famed Electric
- 33:26Speaker 10: Ladies studios on Monday night. She did serve a poker
- 33:30Speaker 10: face as she stayed inside there all night long. She
- 33:34Speaker 10: spotted heading out of the studio around six am Tuesday morning,
- 33:37Speaker 10: wearing the same casual jeans and tea combo and smiling
- 33:41Speaker 10: as she.
- 33:41Speaker 7: Ducked into her vehicle.
- 33:43Speaker 10: Clearly, she's up to something, and if fans have it
- 33:46Speaker 10: their way, we'll obviously find out sooner than later. She
- 33:50Speaker 10: is again getting ready, allegedly for this upcoming wedding to
- 33:54Speaker 10: Travis Kelcey.
- 33:55Speaker 7: And apparently at Madison Square, which makes me laugh because
- 34:01Speaker 7: of all the places.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Nothing like a nothing like a very intimate wedding.
- 34:10Speaker 7: Watch they're already they're already married in there, and then
- 34:13Speaker 7: this is.
- 34:14Speaker 10: Just their celebration with all their celebrity friends, Like.
- 34:17Speaker 7: Gosh, we have so many friends. What venue will fit
- 34:20Speaker 7: them all? Madison Square Garden.
- 34:22Speaker 10: So anyways, apparently they have a thousand guests on their list,
- 34:26Speaker 10: which very intimate, very my worst nightmare personally, but I mean, anyways, so.
- 34:35Speaker 1: There's that Wow, she's supposed to she's supposed to be
- 34:39Speaker 1: building this massive stage. Yeah, in in in a warehouse
- 34:48Speaker 1: in Pennsylvania, this massive stage being constructed under lock and
- 34:56Speaker 1: key with security guards. Apparently her whole band is going
- 35:05Speaker 1: to be at the wedding, and there are some there
- 35:12Speaker 1: are some reports that the wedding is going to take
- 35:17Speaker 1: place at a much smaller place away from the garden,
- 35:24Speaker 1: and the garden is like the reception, and certain amount
- 35:30Speaker 1: of people have been invited to the wedding and the
- 35:34Speaker 1: thousand guest list apparently is for the Madison Square Gardens celebration.
- 35:42Speaker 10: Can you imagine those one guests be like, oh, you
- 35:45Speaker 10: only got an invite.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you're just going to.
- 35:50Speaker 8: La la la.
- 35:51Speaker 7: So did it make the list?
- 35:53Speaker 1: We do have a list of Taylor's hospitality writer the
- 35:58Speaker 1: stuff that she requires backstage before her concerts to be
- 36:04Speaker 1: to be stocked no later than two pm in big
- 36:09Speaker 1: bold letters. Are you ready?
- 36:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm so ready.
- 36:14Speaker 1: Two bottles of the finest red wine, twelve bottles of
- 36:21Speaker 1: chilled mineral water. One bottle of chilled chocolate milk. I
- 36:28Speaker 1: think that's for Travis. One bottle of Welch's grape juice
- 36:35Speaker 1: Chill Travis. Six cans of chilled diet pepsi, twelve Fortnum
- 36:45Speaker 1: and Mason tea bags assorted flavors. One bag of tostitos
- 36:53Speaker 1: tortilla chips, one container of lemon hummus. Never heard of
- 37:00Speaker 1: lemon hummus. One tub of Greek yogurt, one jar of
- 37:09Speaker 1: Minuka honey, one jar of mild paste Pecani sauce mild.
- 37:20Speaker 1: One bag of Kraft cheddar cheese. I guess she's making nachos. Nope,
- 37:27Speaker 1: nope it three boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese, one
- 37:37Speaker 1: stick of butter, one bag of twizzlers, two tubs of
- 37:45Speaker 1: bin and jerries okay, and a box of microwave popcorn. Hm.
- 37:56Speaker 1: No beer for Travis.
- 37:59Speaker 7: No, you can of the fine wine.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I guess he's doing the fine wines.
- 38:03Speaker 7: Yeah, that's why he gets the he gets chocolate milk.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, he's gonta juice, chocolate milk, and apparently some
- 38:13Speaker 1: mac and cheese.
- 38:15Speaker 7: What Toddler is in these?
- 38:17Speaker 10: Uh no, I guess they're making.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Now what we have to figure out is she putting
- 38:23Speaker 1: the Paccani sauce in the mac and cheese or is
- 38:27Speaker 1: she just using that for the you know, for the
- 38:29Speaker 1: toast tostitos to dip.
- 38:33Speaker 7: You know, the options are endless, you know, with these celebrities.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And how about the two tubs of Bin and Jerry's.
- 38:43Speaker 7: I mean, I can go for that.
- 38:44Speaker 11: I like that.
- 38:45Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I'm not gonna lie. I mean and cheese.
- 38:48Speaker 1: You know, she's I don't doubt she's spending a lot
- 38:52Speaker 1: of calories on stage.
- 38:54Speaker 10: You know, she's got the Greek yogurt and the hummus,
- 38:59Speaker 10: it all out.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Yeah, And I'm wondering if this is for other people
- 39:04Speaker 1: or if she's just chowing down on that mac and
- 39:07Speaker 1: cheese and the twizzlers and the Bin and Jerry's. Because
- 39:12Speaker 1: there's some healthy stuff here, right, like the hummus and
- 39:16Speaker 1: the mineral water and the tea and the diet drinks
- 39:19Speaker 1: and the yogurt and honey. But then there's some you know,
- 39:23Speaker 1: stuff that's not so healthy.
- 39:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know.
- 39:28Speaker 10: Yeah, but you were listing all those drinks, and all
- 39:31Speaker 10: I kept thinking was, man, how does she not have
- 39:33Speaker 10: to pee during her confidence?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Well, you know she's sweat, she's sweating quite a bit.
- 39:39Speaker 10: That's true too.
- 39:40Speaker 1: And you know, now, I mean she makes wardrobe changes.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Says she's not on stage the whole time, right.
- 39:47Speaker 10: Yeah, but those wardrobe changes are like thirty seconds if anything.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 10: And on top of that, I mean, I'm just picturing

- 40:06Speaker 7: Oat some royalty or good royalty, No good, okay.
- 40:10Speaker 10: Harry and Meghan are bringing their family to the United
- 40:12Speaker 10: Kingdom for a rare trip next month. Oh they are
- 40:19Speaker 10: visiting England in July. The trip will mark the first
- 40:23Speaker 10: time the family has visited Harry's home country since June
- 40:27Speaker 10: twenty twenty two, when they joined a celebration to mark
- 40:30Speaker 10: Queen Elizabeth the second seven year reign.
- 40:35Speaker 7: They dramatically left the United Kingdom, as we know.

- 41:19Speaker 10: first time since twenty twenty.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Excellent.
- 41:23Speaker 7: Yes, the second day of the annual horse racing event
- 41:26Speaker 7: is today.
- 41:27Speaker 10: The couple did arrive to the Ascot Race horse as
- 41:31Speaker 10: part of the Royal Procession, the horse drawn carriage ride
- 41:35Speaker 10: that officially starts the day's event. Yes, they're in the
- 41:40Speaker 10: same coach as Duke and Duchess of Richmond and Gordon.
- 41:44Speaker 10: After sporting a yellow coach dress for Garter Day on Monday,
- 41:49Speaker 10: Princess Kate did for the same color in a boulder
- 41:52Speaker 10: hue for the Royal ascot parketing or pairing sorry, her

- 42:06Speaker 1: It's not it's not the Evening Tales, but it's okay,
- 42:13Speaker 1: it's formal.
- 42:14Speaker 7: Gotcha, gotcha? Okay, never knew. But I'm also very least
- 42:19Speaker 7: sophisticated person in the world.
- 42:22Speaker 10: She got it to the carriage onlookers, she looked lovely.
- 42:28Speaker 7: Hopefully the sun stays out.
- 42:31Speaker 10: She's just a ray of sunshiney especially and the yellow.
- 42:35Speaker 1: I think I think, I think yellow is one of
- 42:38Speaker 1: her colors.
- 42:39Speaker 7: Actually, that's great.
- 42:42Speaker 1: You know. Ella Langley is blowing up everywhere. Rising country
- 42:46Speaker 1: star blowing up on social media after performing a cover
- 42:51Speaker 1: of Shanaia Twain's You're Still the One on TikTok. The
- 42:57Speaker 1: minute long clip shared last week shows Ella cruiting the
- 43:02Speaker 1: late nineties ballad while accompanying herself on piano. I'll never
- 43:08Speaker 1: get over this song, she wrote in the post caption.
- 43:11Speaker 1: The video has since racked up three point two million views,
- 43:17Speaker 1: drawing praise from fans. From Langley's tender vocals and the
- 43:22Speaker 1: covers candid feel Langley's rendition got some love from Shania herself.
- 43:30Speaker 1: So flattered, she commented loved getting to concert at the
- 43:36Speaker 1: ACM Awards. Langley has been taking over by storm since
- 43:42Speaker 1: the release of her debut album Hungover in twenty twenty four.
- 43:48Speaker 1: Her latest studio effort, Dandy Lyon, released in April, topped
- 43:52Speaker 1: the Billboard two hundred and earned her her first Hot
- 43:57Speaker 1: one hundred number one with choosing Texas. So how about that?
- 44:04Speaker 1: You know it made the headlines when the Aggie Wranglers
- 44:08Speaker 1: were part of her music video within the last few months.
- 44:13Speaker 7: Oh cool, I didn't even.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Know about it.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Yes, they weren't. They weren't told what was going to
- 44:18Speaker 1: happen until after the fact that they were very excited. So, hey,
- 44:26Speaker 1: you know where I'm going this weekend?
- 44:29Speaker 7: Where?
- 44:30Speaker 1: And I'll give you, I'll give you. I've got a
- 44:32Speaker 1: couple of things. Number One, I went to see Michael
- 44:36Speaker 1: over the weekend, the Michael Jackson movie. I enjoyed it.
- 44:42Speaker 1: His father didn't come off too well in the movie,
- 44:45Speaker 1: but I.
- 44:46Speaker 7: Haven't heard great things if I'm being honest.
- 44:48Speaker 1: So I enjoyed it. And I'm going to see Nate
- 44:53Speaker 1: Borgotzi this weekend, the comedian. So I'm very excited about that.
- 44:58Speaker 1: So it's going to be a laughing weekend, which we
- 45:02Speaker 1: all need more of. Right. Do you know that Diddy
- 45:07Speaker 1: has had his prison release moved once again. I heard
- 45:14Speaker 1: he's in New Jersey at Fort Dix. He's now been
- 45:20Speaker 1: set to release February twenty third, which is two months
- 45:25Speaker 1: ahead of when his original release was scheduled. This is
- 45:29Speaker 1: in twenty twenty eight, so he's still got two more years.
- 45:34Speaker 1: The Federal Bureau of Prisons declined to comment. Maybe it's
- 45:38Speaker 1: for good behavior on the reason for the change, but
- 45:41Speaker 1: it does not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual,
- 45:46Speaker 1: including release plans. The Bureau sided general reasons a release
- 45:53Speaker 1: date would be moved up, including good conduct, time, time
- 45:57Speaker 1: credits from approved programs and activities, and credit for time
- 46:03Speaker 1: serve before sentencing. Maybe he has finished a couple of
- 46:06Speaker 1: coloring books and done very well there. Uh huh.
- 46:13Speaker 7: Yes.
- 46:14Speaker 10: I heard it had something to do with didn't he
- 46:16Speaker 10: get in trouble for something?
- 46:19Speaker 5: I don't remember what it was, and then they.
- 46:21Speaker 7: Kind of extended it a little bit. I got dismissed, but.
- 46:25Speaker 10: I could be completely wrong, because I have that's just
- 46:28Speaker 10: my brain recting something I thought I read, well.
- 46:33Speaker 1: There was. There were rumors, since denied by his reps,
- 46:37Speaker 1: that he had created and consumed alcohol in prison.
- 46:44Speaker 7: Oh that's just the experience.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's just the part of the experience.
- 46:51Speaker 7: I can only imagine.
- 46:52Speaker 1: I do have some news on Only Murders in the Building.
- 46:58Speaker 10: Oh uh.

- 47:10Speaker 1: been renewed for a sixth season an all new setting.
- 47:14Speaker 1: They will be in London. Season five saw the sleuths
- 47:19Speaker 1: unraveling the mystery of Doorman Lester was the show's most
- 47:24Speaker 1: star studded yet, with Rene Zelweger, Diane Wiest, Richard Kind
- 47:29Speaker 1: among others. The show's next outing might have it beat.
- 47:35Speaker 1: There's going to be a spice girl in the cast apparently, yes,
- 47:44Speaker 1: so we will see what happens with Only Murders in
- 47:51Speaker 1: the Building.
- 47:54Speaker 10: Man, well, I know we don't really talk about her much,
