- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KF I
- 0:04Speaker 1: am six forty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: If you're one of the people to get with scary out,
- 0:13Speaker 2: one out of four are gonna lose the baby.
- 0:15Speaker 3: It's a philosophy, drinking raw milks more than any other benefit.
- 0:19Speaker 3: You know, when Marjorie was pregnant with the girls, I
- 0:21Speaker 3: should have poured raw milk down her throat with a funnel. Okay,
- 0:27Speaker 3: enough of that, and quldn't giving me the look it
- 0:32Speaker 3: was my daughter joke. Okay, horrible human being.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And now handle on the news, Ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Here's Bill Handle. Well another day, another eighty two cents.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Because we work here at iHeart, everybody else gets a dollar.
- 0:53Speaker 3: All right, here we go. Who are we missing here?
- 0:55Speaker 4: Oh?
- 0:55Speaker 3: I don't see Bill or Will on the bill, Will Coleschreiber,
- 0:59Speaker 3: and I don't see Amy on my monitor. Don't know
- 1:04Speaker 3: what's happening.
- 1:04Speaker 2: That's because Will usually puts the zoom on before he
- 1:10Speaker 2: leaves my room at the end of wake up call,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and he is not here because he's not feeling well.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So David Joseph is sitting in for Will, and I'm
- 1:19Speaker 2: dialing in now.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Okay, who is Dasa, David Joseph. Have I ever seen
- 1:24Speaker 3: him before?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Traffic guy extraordinair. Okay, he won't be on the zoom
- 1:28Speaker 2: this morning.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Oh okay, so David's he works for iHeart in traffic.
- 1:35Speaker 1: No, he was just walking around a homeless guy.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I did that because I wanted to say hello to
- 1:42Speaker 3: David and give him good wishes and tell him he's
- 1:44Speaker 3: not going to last a week here.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Oh he's been here for a long time.
- 1:47Speaker 3: See that's so distressing when that happened, it was the
- 1:52Speaker 3: last time was able to do that was with Chris
- 1:55Speaker 3: and Michael with a new show, you know, Monks and Merrill,
- 2:00Speaker 3: and I was able to say, you won't last a week.
- 2:03Speaker 3: And that is a miracle. I don't get that. That's
- 2:09Speaker 3: more of a desperation call from iHeart than it is
- 2:13Speaker 3: how good they are.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Stop it stop way, you're just talking.
- 2:21Speaker 3: The truth is king. The truth is an absolute defense
- 2:25Speaker 3: to any defamation suit. There is no defamation if it
- 2:29Speaker 3: is the truth. Anyway, Good morning, hello, Amy, Hi Bill,
- 2:35Speaker 3: Hi there okay, something mute? Someone got a mute?
- 2:38Speaker 4: All right, there is a good morning and morning there
- 2:43Speaker 4: you are morning cono, good morning, good boy. I don't
- 2:48Speaker 4: even know why I go through this with the morning, morning, morning.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I have my phone, by the way, in case you
- 2:51Speaker 3: want to neither neither one. You have your phone. There
- 2:56Speaker 3: was a glitz this morning. I don't know why. I'm
- 2:58Speaker 3: hell everybody, yo that I was referring to Kono likes
- 3:02Speaker 3: when you say hello to me, So thank you. Okay.
- 3:05Speaker 3: So there's one person, okay, and then enough the good mornings?
- 3:09Speaker 3: All right, no more. And there's Neil there and I'm
- 3:13Speaker 3: not saying good morning to him, okay. Day five of
- 3:17Speaker 3: the war exciting stuff. Did anybody see Caroline Levitt's press
- 3:25Speaker 3: conference yesterday? It was spectacular? It was she was. It
- 3:30Speaker 3: was a press conference referring to the war and questions
- 3:32Speaker 3: he had she had, and man, it was every question.
- 3:36Speaker 3: The great leadership of our president, the unbelievable presidency, the
- 3:41Speaker 3: best president that there ever was. Joe Biden was a disaster,
- 3:46Speaker 3: the worst president. I mean, just answer the question. For
- 3:50Speaker 3: God's sake. It was Come on, guys, did a B
- 3:53Speaker 3: or C happen? Would you comment on this? Why was
- 3:57Speaker 3: this decision? Well, this decision was by the leadership of
- 4:01Speaker 3: our president. Sounded like she was commenting. Her press secretary
- 4:05Speaker 3: for Kim jong Lunn.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It was.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I mean, come on, guys, really, you have the job.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You've got the job already, all right, You're not gonna
- 4:15Speaker 3: get fired anytime soon.
- 4:18Speaker 2: My response to her quiet piggy A.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Nice nice anyway. I just man, I just yeah, I don't.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I don't understand it. I really don't.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah. You don't hear worse Biden bashing by the Trump
- 4:35Speaker 1: people except Kamala when she put out her book.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Other than that, Yeah, it was, and that was she
- 4:42Speaker 3: had to walk a fine line on that one, which
- 4:45Speaker 3: she didn't anymore by the time her book came out.
- 4:48Speaker 3: But she didn't rip into Biden as a human being
- 4:50Speaker 3: or the worst presidency. She just talked about how the campaign,
- 4:55Speaker 3: that the Biden campaign didn't help her. That was that
- 4:59Speaker 3: was it? Interesting book. By the way, Amy, you read
- 5:02Speaker 3: the book, didn't you. I gave it to you. You
- 5:05Speaker 3: didn't kill That's great. Thank you borrowing a book and
- 5:10Speaker 3: never returning it. Thank you return it. Yeah, that'll happen
- 5:13Speaker 3: again in this lifetime.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Well you've already read it, right, I did read it. Yeah, Well,
- 5:17Speaker 2: so what do you care?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not going up on my bookshelf. It is
- 5:21Speaker 3: not going up by my bookshelf next to the five dogs.
- 5:25Speaker 3: It's Lindsay has five dogs up on the shelf. Five
- 5:30Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, they're not yeah yeah, they all have
- 5:35Speaker 3: died and they're not stuffed, is what I would do.
- 5:37Speaker 3: And put them up there are they boxes and.
- 5:40Speaker 2: They have little engravings on them.
- 5:41Speaker 3: They do have little saying, little engravings. And she wanted
- 5:44Speaker 3: to she wanted to put them in the living room,
- 5:46Speaker 3: and I said, we are not going to have boxes
- 5:48Speaker 3: of dead dogs in the living room. That's not going
- 5:50Speaker 3: to happen in this lifetime. Uh. And I'll tell you
- 5:53Speaker 3: if she dies, she wants to be cremated. She wants
- 5:56Speaker 3: to be next to the five dead dogs. So they are.
- 5:59Speaker 3: There's there's a pretty girl, there's a beanie, and then
- 6:04Speaker 3: there'll be a Lindsay. Uh in a box. Okay, guys,
- 6:08Speaker 3: lind Lindsay in a box. You know what that is.
- 6:13Speaker 3: That's a new McDonald's toy that you get when you
- 6:15Speaker 3: buy a happy meal.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Why don't you save space and just mix all the
- 6:19Speaker 1: ashes together that we could?
- 6:20Speaker 3: You know. I once got up one favor before we
- 6:23Speaker 3: get to it. This is just a fun topic I
- 6:25Speaker 3: handle on the law. I got a question and it
- 6:28Speaker 3: was and this happens all the time. Family members are
- 6:30Speaker 3: fighting for the ashes. You've got siblings who hate each other.
- 6:36Speaker 3: They want the ashes of the dead mom or the
- 6:38Speaker 3: dead dad. And oh my god, they're gonna file lawsuit.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And I said, you know what, just let them have it.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Let them have all the ashes. Do you have a
- 6:46Speaker 3: fireplace at home. We can make this real easy. Gonna
- 6:51Speaker 3: sive out them. And then yeah, yeah, here you go,
- 6:55Speaker 3: you can have mom's ashes. Okay, guys, time for handle
- 6:58Speaker 3: on the news with a me, Neil and me lead story. Well,
- 7:04Speaker 3: no surprise, the Senate has rejected that war Powers resolution
- 7:08Speaker 3: blocking the President from ordering further strikes on Iran because
- 7:12Speaker 3: he did not did not talk to Congress, which is
- 7:18Speaker 3: what Well, frankly, the Constitution calls for only Congress to
- 7:22Speaker 3: declare war, and it was he just didn't do it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: He didn't consult with Congress. John Kennedy, who is the
- 7:34Speaker 3: Senator from Louisiana, Republican, staunch Republican, who was almost leading
- 7:39Speaker 3: the leading the fight against this, said we can't get
- 7:44Speaker 3: in the way of the president who is our commander
- 7:47Speaker 3: in chief, and it calls for the commander in chief.
- 7:50Speaker 3: I go, how about the Congress that says Congress has
- 7:53Speaker 3: to declare war that's gone, that doesn't even exist. And
- 7:57Speaker 3: then Mike Jo Johnson, the sick of fhant of all
- 7:59Speaker 3: time Speaker of the House, said it was unnecessary for
- 8:03Speaker 3: this resolution because this is not a war. He did
- 8:08Speaker 3: that half an hour after Donald Trump said this is
- 8:11Speaker 3: a war. Anything to make sure that the president gets
- 8:17Speaker 3: his will, and it is, you know, I mean, it's
- 8:19Speaker 3: and it's the powers. And that's not to say he
- 8:21Speaker 3: can't engage in war, and he should be able to,
- 8:24Speaker 3: but the Constitution says Congress has is the only entity
- 8:31Speaker 3: in the United States government that can declare war. And
- 8:34Speaker 3: the reason all of these presidents have gotten away with
- 8:36Speaker 3: it is simply not calling the Korean War a war,
- 8:40Speaker 3: not calling the Vietnam War a war. It's all police
- 8:43Speaker 3: actions or military actions, and it's never a war. Last
- 8:46Speaker 3: time war was actually declared legally per the Constitution December eighth,
- 8:50Speaker 3: nineteen forty, one day after Pearl Harmer was bonded. So anyway,
- 8:54Speaker 3: it failed, and the president is free to commit this
- 8:58Speaker 3: country to war. Excuse me, to a non war an operation, sir,
- 9:04Speaker 3: yes to it. Operation. Yeah, it's a non war. He
- 9:07Speaker 3: is free to declare non war anytime he wants, without
- 9:11Speaker 3: even consulting Congress, not even informing Congress.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Okay, the head of the DWP is out. The head
- 9:21Speaker 2: of Los Angeles Department Water and Power is stepping down.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Mayor Bass said in a statement that Genice Kenyonis, who's
- 9:30Speaker 2: been the DWP's top executive since twenty twenty four, brought
- 9:35Speaker 2: steady leadership and engineering expertise to the utility. Of course,
- 9:40Speaker 2: she's not going leaving empty handed. She's now going to
- 9:43Speaker 2: become the CEO of an electric company in her native
- 9:46Speaker 2: Puerto Rico. Kenyonis will work on modernizing Puerto Rico's electrical grid,
- 9:51Speaker 2: which God knows.
- 9:52Speaker 3: They need it.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Wow, you know. Monica Rodriguez. Council Woman Monica Rodriguez said
- 10:00Speaker 1: she was shocked because there's large scale utility projects, including
- 10:06Speaker 1: two point six billion dollar upgrade of the city's convention
- 10:09Speaker 1: center that they're in the middle.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Of, and they're still working on, you know, fire recovery
- 10:17Speaker 2: for the infrastructure for the Palisades and the eaten fires.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So the positive thing is though we won't have to
- 10:24Speaker 1: hear John Cobalt called her Keynons anymore.
- 10:29Speaker 2: What is it?
- 10:30Speaker 1: He hates what you said. It's got a he he
- 10:36Speaker 1: hates that.
- 10:37Speaker 2: He hates the.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Z all right, this, Uh, this is sad obviously when
- 10:46Speaker 1: you have operations like this going on and people die,
- 10:49Speaker 1: especially Americans. The last two names of the six US
- 10:52Speaker 1: soldiers that we had heard that were killed in the
- 10:56Speaker 1: Kuwait attack were released just yesterday by the Pentagon, So
- 11:01Speaker 1: one of them was one of our own here in California.
- 11:04Speaker 1: The soldiers were identified as Chief Warrant Officer Robert Marzan
- 11:10Speaker 1: of Sacramento and Major Jeffrey O'Brien of Iowa.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Very sad, Musk says there was no misconduct. Elon Musk
- 11:23Speaker 2: took the stand in a trial to defend himself against
- 11:27Speaker 2: accusations that he engaged in a pattern of deceptive behavior
- 11:32Speaker 2: that misled investors as he tried to back out of
- 11:36Speaker 2: his forty four billion dollar deal to buy the former
- 11:39Speaker 2: Twitter before he finally went ahead and completed the takeover.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So it's happening in San Francisco. It centers on a
- 11:45Speaker 2: class action lawsuit filed just before Musk took control of
- 11:49Speaker 2: Twitter in October of twenty twenty two, six months after
- 11:52Speaker 2: he agreed to buy the company for forty four billion dollars.
- 12:00Speaker 1: Iranian dissident groups they're in the northern part of Iraq
- 12:06Speaker 1: are preparing preparing a potential cross border military operation in Iran.
- 12:12Speaker 1: US is all for this. They've asked Iraqi Kurds to
- 12:16Speaker 1: support them, and this particular. These Kurdish groups are widely
- 12:21Speaker 1: seen as the most well organized segment of the fragmented
- 12:25Speaker 1: Iranian opposition, So they believe there's thousands of trained fighters
- 12:30Speaker 1: and it'll be interesting what comes out of that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: What's interesting about that, too, is that there's a lot
- 12:36Speaker 2: of people in the US saying, no boots on the ground.
- 12:39Speaker 2: We don't want US troops on the ground. Trump is hedging, saying,
- 12:43Speaker 2: you know, we're not planning on it, but we could
- 12:44Speaker 2: change our minds. This takes care of that. They're saying,
- 12:47Speaker 2: you know, you can't you can't topple a government without
- 12:50Speaker 2: boots on the ground.
- 12:52Speaker 3: The curs I I just came back. What are you
- 12:55Speaker 3: talking about?
- 12:56Speaker 2: We're talking about the dissidents that Yeah, we're doing the
- 12:59Speaker 2: Handle show.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sorry. Yeah, Well here's my choice. Okay,
- 13:04Speaker 3: you got a chicken chicken bake in the toaster oven
- 13:09Speaker 3: or the show? What do you think takes precedence.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I do absolutely losing it, absolutely losing it.
- 13:17Speaker 3: It's my last chicken bake. By the way, I have
- 13:19Speaker 3: to go back to Costco today.
- 13:22Speaker 1: This is fascinating. You want to stay hid? Everybody again?
- 13:24Speaker 3: Moving on? What story are we on?
- 13:28Speaker 1: Uh? We're moving on to six.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yes, So we got a lot of nervous.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Done when you're gone, we got a lot.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Of nervous news people.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Uhh.
- 13:39Speaker 2: If the paramount Warner Brothers Discovery transaction is approved by regulators,
- 13:45Speaker 2: CNN and CBS News would be forced into potentially rocky
- 13:50Speaker 2: marriage where they were going to have to figure out
- 13:53Speaker 2: who would you know, lead the team, who would be
- 13:56Speaker 2: on this team and uh who, what kind of direction
- 14:00Speaker 2: and what it takes. So there's talk that if the
- 14:02Speaker 2: merger happens that CNN and CBS could merge as well.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Okay one reilly, Yeah, it will happen. They will merge,
- 14:12Speaker 3: and the Trump administration is going to give the approval
- 14:16Speaker 3: because the FCC has to approve it. On top of that,
- 14:20Speaker 3: we already know that new management has come into both
- 14:24Speaker 3: CBS and CNN prior to the merge to make both
- 14:28Speaker 3: of those organizations more even handed. Let's put it that
- 14:34Speaker 3: way because they are too liberals. So they're bringing in
- 14:38Speaker 3: new editorial and a bunch of people have just straight
- 14:42Speaker 3: out resigned from CBS sixty minutes. There was a segment
- 14:46Speaker 3: that was dropped because it was not appropriate, it wasn't
- 14:49Speaker 3: really fair, and it's just crazy. Is anybody attacking Fox
- 14:53Speaker 3: by the way at all for being too biased? Are
- 14:56Speaker 3: they bringing in any new Fox people to make Fox
- 14:58Speaker 3: a little bit more, a little bit more even handed. No, anyways,
- 15:03Speaker 3: things are going to change CBS News and CNN. I
- 15:06Speaker 3: mean they're going to go that way. I guarantee you
- 15:09Speaker 3: they're going away. The only good news is and I
- 15:12Speaker 3: mean this, And you know, I rip into iHeart constantly,
- 15:15Speaker 3: as you know, I rip into everybody constantly, as you know.
- 15:19Speaker 3: One of the things about management ever since Cock I
- 15:23Speaker 3: came in when the Cox people owned KFI, and in
- 15:28Speaker 3: all the years I've been here at KFI nineteen eighty
- 15:31Speaker 3: nine is when I started, not once have I been
- 15:35Speaker 3: told to change a political view or modify a political view.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I've been told a few times you can't say that
- 15:42Speaker 3: because the FCC doesn't allow it. And Bill, you're being
- 15:44Speaker 3: too mean to and then the whole litany of people
- 15:47Speaker 3: that I've been too mean to longless. They wereright, Yeah,
- 15:50Speaker 3: well there's two pages, single space, and they couldn't call it,
- 15:53Speaker 3: couldn't put it all on one page. But as far
- 15:56Speaker 3: as political or biased or non biased, not once have
- 16:01Speaker 3: I ever been told that. I assume Neil you also
- 16:04Speaker 3: have never been told that all year years. So they're
- 16:07Speaker 3: as unbiased as you get. And they don't care. You know,
- 16:10Speaker 3: I heart doesn't care. You could have any view you want.
- 16:13Speaker 3: It's just move ahead. We're a commercial organization and you
- 16:16Speaker 3: can say whatever you do. Just you know, we're interested
- 16:19Speaker 3: in selling products, which is why starting next week, I'm
- 16:23Speaker 3: going to be selling cancer cures for five dollars apiece.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And during the holiday season you're going to get an
- 16:31Speaker 3: extra cancer cure as a stocking stuffer. So if you
- 16:35Speaker 3: wait until December, you can give out a cancer cure
- 16:39Speaker 3: for a gift. Okay, why don't we leave it at that.
- 16:46Speaker 1: The continuing search for Nancy Guthrie goes on and on
- 16:52Speaker 1: with very little payoffs so far. It's into its second month.
- 16:57Speaker 1: And if you remember, we had a brief, little glimpse
- 16:59Speaker 1: of hope about the DNA that was found on that glove,
- 17:04Speaker 1: about two miles from Guthrie's home. Well, it turns out
- 17:08Speaker 1: they have found out who the DNA and that glove
- 17:11Speaker 1: belongs to, and it's a person that has nothing to
- 17:15Speaker 1: do with the case. It seems they were a restaurant
- 17:18Speaker 1: worker or something nearby. So unfortunately, even though it looks
- 17:23Speaker 1: similar to the ones being warned by the person on
- 17:26Speaker 1: the video, it doesn't tie to this case at all.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Another dead end.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I wonder where was that sound? I guess that
- 17:34Speaker 3: was found in the home or is that one of
- 17:35Speaker 3: the gloves that was found out in the This is the.
- 17:38Speaker 2: One that was found about two miles away, Okay, along
- 17:41Speaker 2: the roadside. Another brilliant decision by the la City Council
- 17:47Speaker 2: did you hear my sarcasm? Marijuana dispensaries in La oh
- 17:51Speaker 2: the city about four hundred million dollars in back taxes
- 17:54Speaker 2: and fees, A lot of money right Well, city council
- 17:58Speaker 2: has approved a plan for it calls for those back
- 18:02Speaker 2: taxes and late fees to be waived if the businesses
- 18:04Speaker 2: pay their taxes within three years. If about half edgible
- 18:09Speaker 2: of the eligible cannabis businesses participated, the city would collect
- 18:12Speaker 2: about thirty million dollars of the four hundred million it's
- 18:16Speaker 2: owed while waving about twenty five million in penalties.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Okay, so I have a question about this, just the math. Okay,
- 18:23Speaker 3: they're going to wave the back taxes, but they have
- 18:26Speaker 3: to pay the taxes within three years. I don't quite understand.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Are they talking of paying the taxes that are going
- 18:33Speaker 3: to be due within three years or I don't understand
- 18:38Speaker 3: this at all. You're giving it a weird look too.
- 18:42Speaker 2: It's because I'm looking at it. Yeah, it looks a
- 18:44Speaker 2: little sketchy. It looks like they're not going to have
- 18:47Speaker 2: to pay the back taxes, but they need to pay
- 18:50Speaker 2: their taxes, like get on track.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Yeah, now how about the people that have completely accurate
- 18:55Speaker 3: I don't either. I mean, the story is that weird.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I if I were the owner of a dispense that
- 19:00Speaker 3: did pay my taxes, I'd be suing on this one,
- 19:04Speaker 3: wanting a refund.
- 19:06Speaker 1: They don't do that with any other small business. Why
- 19:08Speaker 1: would they?
- 19:08Speaker 3: Oh, they do that with the irs, will do that
- 19:11Speaker 3: with people that if you pay a small amount, we'll
- 19:14Speaker 3: waive all the back taxes. But it's a question maybe
- 19:17Speaker 3: the same philosophy. It's better getting something than nothing.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Yeah, But This isn't the IRS, right, it's the city
- 19:22Speaker 2: of la Yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, so you think they said just pay the rest
- 19:26Speaker 1: and purple haired Indico.
- 19:28Speaker 3: That's very funny. Yeah. And by the way, that's just
- 19:30Speaker 3: an analogy I was making. And to compare the IRS.
- 19:33Speaker 3: So the city of the Irs is bad, is wrong
- 19:36Speaker 3: on so many different levels.
- 19:40Speaker 1: All right. So another thing to look forward to. There's
- 19:43Speaker 1: this respiratory virus here in California, certain parts up north,
- 19:48Speaker 1: mostly from what I've seen, and they it's the same
- 19:52Speaker 1: they do with COVID where they go through the sewers
- 19:55Speaker 1: and they can see if there is concentration of certain
- 20:00Speaker 1: you know, diseases or concerns in the wastewater, and that's
- 20:04Speaker 1: what they did here. Meta new meta pneumavirus or h
- 20:09Speaker 1: m p V is what they're detecting so far. They
- 20:13Speaker 1: say it's considered in the load of moderate area and
- 20:16Speaker 1: that there isn't a massive amount of alarms going off
- 20:21Speaker 1: just yet. But something to look forward to.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Do you find it ironic that, uh the it's h
- 20:28Speaker 3: m p V is what they've named it, And originally
- 20:30Speaker 3: it was a sexually transmitted disease why, which is why
- 20:34Speaker 3: they're calling it humph huh humph actually transmitted, Okay, huh yeah.
- 20:47Speaker 1: You know what, when you go to make your next
- 20:50Speaker 1: chicken bake, maybe uh hire yourself a Jewish writer.
- 20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, Jewish right.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Very good, and the subpoenas keep coming. Next up on
- 20:59Speaker 2: Ma Hunt Seat in the investigation of the Jeffrey Epstein files,
- 21:03Speaker 2: Pam Bondi, five Republicans on the House Oversight Committee joined
- 21:07Speaker 2: with the Democrats to subpoena the US Attorney General. Republican
- 21:11Speaker 2: Representative Nancy Mace in an ex post said, the American
- 21:15Speaker 2: people want answers on the Epstein files, and so do we.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Last month, very funny stuff. She was again in
- 21:24Speaker 3: front of a House Judiciary committee and when she was
- 21:28Speaker 3: asked about the Epstein trials the Epstein files, she started
- 21:33Speaker 3: screaming at the senators, saying, how dare you ask me
- 21:38Speaker 3: those questions? What you should be talking about is the
- 21:41Speaker 3: great economy that our great president has produced, and he's
- 21:46Speaker 3: the greatest that ever lived. Yeah, you're the Attorney general,
- 21:50Speaker 3: What the hell do you have to do with the economy.
- 21:54Speaker 3: It's our great president and you should be talking about
- 21:56Speaker 3: how he has changed everything around, unlike Joe Biden. Seriously,
- 22:00Speaker 3: she went into a diatribe about how horrible Joe Biden was,
- 22:04Speaker 3: how great the economy was, and that's what Congress should
- 22:06Speaker 3: be looking at. These people are all nuts, almost spiled it.
- 22:11Speaker 3: These people are all completely nuts. So we'll see it again. Now.
- 22:16Speaker 3: By the way, it used to be that hearings, both
- 22:18Speaker 3: Senate and House hearings, where the senators and the congress
- 22:24Speaker 3: people were given deference. Actually they were asses. They could
- 22:28Speaker 3: attack all they want, and the witnesses just had to
- 22:30Speaker 3: take it. Now it goes the other way, and it's
- 22:34Speaker 3: the witnesses who are screaming right back at the senators
- 22:38Speaker 3: and the congress people, which, by the way, I don't
- 22:39Speaker 3: think I don't I don't think I have a problem
- 22:41Speaker 3: with that. You know, you treat me that way, I'm
- 22:43Speaker 3: gonna treat you this way. Don't give me this. I
- 22:46Speaker 3: start answering a question and you start screaming at me,
- 22:48Speaker 3: I'm going to scream right back. So it's it's fascinating stuff. Boy,
- 22:54Speaker 3: the world has changed completely, I mean completely.
- 22:57Speaker 1: GLP ones are all over the place, curving the desire
- 23:00Speaker 1: to eat, but evidence continues to mount suggesting that the
- 23:04Speaker 1: GLP one drugs may help in other ways, as well,
- 23:08Speaker 1: cutting back on cigarettes, drinking, and even opioid use. So
- 23:14Speaker 1: somemeglatide and tran zeppeatide have grown in popularity. These are
- 23:20Speaker 1: the of course, the ozembic and goov and all those things,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and they're finding that they could help in other areas too,
- 23:28Speaker 1: like drinking, having the urge to drink alcohol and like
- 23:33Speaker 1: so yay yep.
- 23:35Speaker 3: The most effective way to take those is the way
- 23:38Speaker 3: I'm doing it this morning is injecting and having a
- 23:41Speaker 3: chicken bake at the same time. And that's exactly what's
- 23:44Speaker 3: going on.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Why don't you just inject it into the chicken bake?
- 23:47Speaker 3: And I thought you actually would be a very good
- 23:49Speaker 3: IDEA chick shrink. Yeah, it would lose fat preparation h on.
- 23:55Speaker 3: The chicken bake would also make a trunk oh boy,
- 23:58Speaker 3: and not as tasty. Okay, moving on.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Not closed but not really open either. A judge in
- 24:05Speaker 2: Texas declined to fully close Camp Mystic, And you'll remember
- 24:10Speaker 2: Camp Mystic is the place where flooding tore through the
- 24:13Speaker 2: summer camp on July fourth, killing twenty five campers and
- 24:17Speaker 2: two councilors. But the judge said, while not closing the camp,
- 24:23Speaker 2: she's preventing the rebuilding in any of the flooded area.
- 24:29Speaker 3: And the reason is evidence. They're saying, you are not
- 24:36Speaker 3: going to alter, change, or do anything to this camp
- 24:40Speaker 3: until all the evidence is collected and done. It all
- 24:44Speaker 3: had to do with the evidence.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I thought it was like a memoriam thing.
- 24:47Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, it's it's.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Right all this time. Still.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what the judge said. Yeah, yeah, So there
- 24:57Speaker 3: is a temporary injunction barring the them, barring the summer
- 25:02Speaker 3: camp owners from altering or remodeling any structures where they
- 25:06Speaker 3: were housed during the tragedy. So that makes sense.
- 25:13Speaker 1: You know, children, the elderly, and animals, When you read
- 25:17Speaker 1: story about people mistreating them, you can't help but get furious.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You have a Carson couple. They've been arrested following an
- 25:25Speaker 1: elder abuse investigation in Los Angeles County. So eleven elderly
- 25:31Speaker 1: patients were in this home that apparently was unlicensed, and
- 25:36Speaker 1: it's said that the detectives found that they ran a
- 25:40Speaker 1: very abusive elderly care operation no license. They were committing fraud.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Neighbors called this place the house of horrors, and in
- 25:49Speaker 1: the middle of the night they're here. People screaming, saying
- 25:53Speaker 1: things like nobody cares. I'm screaming because nobody cares. And
- 25:58Speaker 1: the thought of you know, elderly people being mistreated like this,
- 26:04Speaker 1: I just hope that these people get locked up.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Oh they will, They'll get locked up. And if I'm
- 26:10Speaker 3: not mistaken, I think when you're also dealing with crimes regard,
- 26:15Speaker 3: you know, in reference to elderly people, that is an
- 26:18Speaker 3: enhancement on top of the whatever sentencing there is. Because
- 26:23Speaker 3: there's certain things are enhancements.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Seriously, so when I make a joke about you, it
- 26:27Speaker 1: can make my jail stay longer.
- 26:29Speaker 3: That is correct. But the problem is you'd rather be
- 26:31Speaker 3: in jail than be on the show. I understand that
- 26:34Speaker 3: is six to' one. Yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Legendary coach of the Fighting Irish has died. Lou Holtz
- 26:43Speaker 2: died in Orlando, Florida, yesterday. He was eighty nine, had
- 26:47Speaker 2: nearly two hundred and fifty wins under his belt and
- 26:50Speaker 2: a national title with Notre Dame, while cementing himself as
- 26:54Speaker 2: both one of the most lovable and unlikable characters in
- 26:58Speaker 2: college football.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Sports talk, go sports games. Yes, so, I've never I've
- 27:07Speaker 1: never heard the term snow drought but apparently we're having one.
- 27:12Speaker 1: Snowpack is well below even though we had a couple
- 27:16Speaker 1: of weeks back a little bit of hopeful rain and
- 27:18Speaker 1: snow there. But what happens when you have warm weather
- 27:22Speaker 1: on the rise and no snow pack, or at least
- 27:26Speaker 1: less than normal. You get wildfire risks. Not to be
- 27:30Speaker 1: confused with the wild failure of last January, but you
- 27:36Speaker 1: get these wildfire risks. And as we get closer to spring, which.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Is interesting because we've got so much more rain than
- 27:45Speaker 2: normal and the snake is no longer in a drought
- 27:47Speaker 2: at all.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Weird.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It's so weird. Oh, in that story about Lou Holes,
- 27:53Speaker 3: you went past it too quickly because I had a
- 27:55Speaker 3: I had such a great line. I mean, I had
- 27:58Speaker 3: a great line.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Go back to.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Okay, here we go. Lou Holts passed away, great coach
- 28:05Speaker 3: of all time. Uh. And his face he died at
- 28:08Speaker 3: eighty nine. When he was in the funeral home, Uh,
- 28:11Speaker 3: and they were going to uh you know basically, uh,
- 28:15Speaker 3: you know, put him in, just put him in the coffin.
- 28:18Speaker 3: His family asked the more mortician to put his game
- 28:22Speaker 3: face on. See that was probably not worth it, because
- 28:26Speaker 3: they do make up. You know that, don't you on
- 28:29Speaker 3: people and they can put your put a game face on. Okay,
- 28:34Speaker 3: I'm glad we went back to that. By the way,
- 28:36Speaker 3: we got it to No, I understand you got it. Yeah,
- 28:39Speaker 3: you got it the first time and it was horrible
- 28:41Speaker 3: the first time and the second time. Yeah.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You love when people explained bad jokes.
- 28:49Speaker 3: That's because in the hopes that you didn't get it.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Uh.
- 28:55Speaker 3: And the problem is when you do get it and
- 28:57Speaker 3: you still don't laugh. That is the problem.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Handle, ladies and gentlemen. The only Jew in all of
- 29:03Speaker 1: Hollywood that can't write a good joke that's correct?
- 29:07Speaker 3: All right? And then amy the last one real quickly.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Here's the story of a house named Brady. Okay, that's enough.
- 29:14Speaker 2: La City Council has voted unanimously to designate the Brady
- 29:17Speaker 2: Bunch House in Studio City as an historic Cultural monument
- 29:23Speaker 2: that will protect the home from being demolished. And of course,
- 29:26Speaker 2: the house was only used for exterior shots. The series
- 29:31Speaker 2: in the sixties and seventies of The Brady Bunch was
- 29:35Speaker 2: shot entirely on a studio lot until HGTV stepped in
- 29:40Speaker 2: a few years ago did a series of its own
- 29:42Speaker 2: on remodeling it and made the inside look like what
- 29:46Speaker 2: you saw on the show.
- 29:48Speaker 3: So this is a fine example of telling the La
- 29:51Speaker 3: City Council, don't you have time to actually pass some
- 29:54Speaker 3: laws that makes sense. Okay, we're done, guys.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They were worried about the mark. I guess in bat No.
- 30:01Speaker 3: Yes, so Marsham, Marsha, Marsha, Marshas, we're done, done, done,
- 30:06Speaker 3: coming up over it was happening in the war. The
- 30:10Speaker 3: President is calling on the Kurds to help the US efforts,
- 30:13Speaker 3: and I'm going to talk about that thought or two
- 30:16Speaker 3: about the war, and I want to, I think put
- 30:19Speaker 3: it into perspective, at least in my mind. We'll be back.
- 30:22Speaker 3: This is kf I A M six forty. You've been
