- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:04A few days ago, we were looking at Glaine Maxwell's
- 0:07undisputed statement of facts pursuant to the Virginia allegations, while
- 0:11in this episode we're going to start taking a look
- 0:14at Virginia's response to that filing. Case number fifteen DASH

- 0:43Miss roberts false allegations the March twenty eleven statement. In
- 0:48early twenty eleven, Miss Roberts and two British tabloid interviews
- 0:52made numerous false and defamatory allegations against Miss Maxwell. In
- 0:57the articles, Miss Roberts made no direct allegation that Miss
- 1:00Maxwell was involved in any improper conduct with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 1:05who had pleaded guilty in two thousand and seven to
- 1:07procuring a minor for a prostitution. Nonetheless, Miss Roberts suggested
- 1:12that Miss Maxwell worked with Epstein and may have known
- 1:15about the crimes for which he was convicted. Miss Roberts's
- 1:19statement controverting defendants facts. Miss Roberts denies that the allegation
- 1:24she made against Miss Maxwell or false. Furthermore, Miss Roberts
- 1:28did give an interview to journalist Sharon Churcher in which
- 1:32Miss Roberts accurately and truthfully described defendant Maxwell's role as
- 1:36someone who recruited or facilitated the recruitment of young females
- 1:40for Jeffrey Epstein. See McCauley declaration at exhibit thirty four,

- 1:50Roberts was also interviewed by the FBI in twenty eleven,

- 2:12but instead truthful and accurate the defendants reported facts in
- 2:17the articles. Miss Roberts alleged she had sex with Prince Andrew,
- 2:21a well known businessman, A world renowned scientist, a respected
- 2:25liberal politician and a foreign head of state. Miss Robert's

- 2:33but believes that it is a irrelevant Defendants purported Facts three.
- 2:38In response to the allegations, Miss Maxwell's British attorney working
- 2:42with mister gal issued a statement on March ninth, twenty eleven,
- 2:47denying the various allegations about Miss Maxwell that have appeared
- 2:51recently in the media. These allegations are entirely false. Miss

- 3:25Maxwell denies the various allegations about her that have appeared
- 3:29recently in the media. These allegations are entirely false. It
- 3:33is unacceptable that letters sent by Miss Maxwell's legal representatives
- 3:37to certain newspapers, pointing out the truth and asking for
- 3:41the allegations to be withdrawn have simply been ignored in
- 3:45the circumstances. Miss Maxwell is now proceeding to take legal
- 3:48action against those newspapers. I understand newspapers need to tell
- 3:53stories to sell copies. It's also well known that certain
- 3:57newspapers live by the adage why let the truth get
- 4:00way of a good story. However, the allegations made against
- 4:03me are abhorrent and entirely untrue, and I asked that
- 4:07they stop, said Glaine Maxwell. A number of newspapers have
- 4:10shown a complete lack of accuracy in their reporting of
- 4:13this story and a failure to carry out the most
- 4:16elementary investigation or any real due diligence. I am now
- 4:20taking action to clear my name, she said media contact

- 4:38The defendants purported facts five. Miss roberts gratuitous and lurid
- 4:43accusations in an unrelated action in two thousand and eight,
- 4:47two alleged victims of Epstein brought an action under the
- 4:50Crime Victim's Rights Act against the United States Government purporting
- 4:54the challenge Epstein's Plea agreement. They alleged the government violated
- 4:59their cbr A rights by entering into the agreement Miss
- 5:03Robert's statement controverting defendance facts. While we would stipulate to
- 5:07the statement in this paragraph starting with the words in
- 5:10two thousand and eight, we do not stipulate to the

- 5:18number six. Seven years later, on December thirtieth, twenty fifteen,
- 5:23Miss Roberts moved to join the CVR action, claiming she
- 5:26too had her cvr A rights violated by the government.
- 5:31On January first, twenty fifteen, Miss Roberts filed a corrected
- 5:35joinder motion miss Robert's statement controverting defendance facts agreed Defendants
- 5:41Purported Facts seven. The issue presented in her joinder motion
- 5:45was narrow whether she should be permitted to join the
- 5:48CVR action as a party under the Federal Rule of
- 5:52Civil Procedure twenty one, specifically, whether she was a known
- 5:56victim of mister Epstein and the government owed them CVR duties,
- 6:00Yet the bulk of the motion consists of copious factual
- 6:03details that Miss Roberts and her co movement would prove
- 6:07if allowed to join. Miss Roberts gratuitously included provocative and
- 6:12lurid details of her alleged sexual activities as an alleged
- 6:16victim of sexual trafficking. Miss Robert's statement controverting defendants facts.
- 6:22Miss Roberts denies that the issues presented in her joinder
- 6:26motion were narrow. The issues presented by the joinder motion
- 6:29and related pleadings were multiple and complex, requiring numerous details
- 6:34about Miss Robert's sexual abuse and the perpetrators of her abuse.
- 6:39In a pleading explaining why the motion was filed, Miss
- 6:42Robert's lawyers specifically listed nine separate reasons why Jane Doe
- 6:46three's allegations that Dershowitz had sexually abused her were relevant
- 6:50to the case and appropriately included in irrelevant filings. One
- 6:55to establish that Jane Doe three had been sexually abused
- 6:59by Jeffrey Epstein and his co conspirators, including co conspirator
- 7:03Alan Dershowitz, which would make her a victim of a
- 7:06broad sex trafficking conspiracy covered by the Federal Crime Victim's
- 7:10Rights Act eighteen US Code, Section three seven seventy one,
- 7:14and therefore entitled to participate in the case. Two To
- 7:18support the pending discovery requests that ask specifically for information
- 7:22related to contacts by Dershowitz with the government on behalf
- 7:26of Jeffrey Epstein. Three. To support the victim's allegation that
- 7:30the government had a motive for failing to afford victims
- 7:34with their rights in the criminal process, specifically pressure from
- 7:37Dershowitz and other members of Epstein's legal team to keep
- 7:41the parameters of the non prosecution agreement secret. To prevent
- 7:45Jane do three and other victims from objecting to and
- 7:48blocking judicial approval of the agreement. Number four to establish
- 7:53the breath of the NPA's provision extending immunity to any
- 7:57potential co conspirator of Epstein, and the scope of the
- 8:00remedy that the victims, including not only Jane do three,
- 8:04but also similarly situated minor victims who had been sexually
- 8:07abused by Dershowitz, might be able to obtain for a
- 8:11violation of rights. Number five, to provide part of the
- 8:15factual context for the scope of the interface between the victims,
- 8:19the government, and Epstein's defense team, an interface that was
- 8:23relevant under Judge Mara's previous ruling that the government was
- 8:26entitled to raise a fact sensitive equitable defense which must
- 8:30be considered in the factual context of the entire interface
- 8:34between Epstein, the relevant prosecutorial authorities, and the federal offense victims.
- 8:40Number six to prove the applicability of the crime fraud
- 8:44misconduct exception to the attorney client privilege that was being
- 8:48raised by the government in opposition to the victim's motion
- 8:51for production of numerous documents. Number seven to bolster the
- 8:56victim's argument that their right to be treated with fairness
- 8:59us CO. Eighteen, Section three seven seventy one an eight
- 9:03had been violated through the government's secret negotiations with one
- 9:07of their abusers. Number eight to provide notice and lay
- 9:10out the parameters of potential witness testimony for any subsequent
- 9:15proceedings or trial, ie the scope of the testimony that
- 9:18Jane Doe three was expected to provide in support of
- 9:21Jane Do one and Jane Do two, the already recognized
- 9:24Miss Roberts in the action. And nine to support Jane
- 9:28Doe three's argument for equitable estoppel to toll the six
- 9:33year Statute of Limitations being raised by the Government in
- 9:36opposition to her emotion to join ie that the statute
- 9:40was told while she was in hiding in Australia due
- 9:43to the danger posed by Epstein and his powerful friends,
- 9:47including prominent lawyer Alan Dershowitz Chaine. Doe's number one and

- 10:16Mara's ruling concluded that certain allegations were not necessary at
- 10:20this juncture. In the Proceedings d at three twenty four
