- 0:11Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I'm Wendy.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm a former Hallmark hater. On today's episode, we are
- 0:19Speaker 1: discussing The Way Home Season four, episode four, titled We've
- 0:22Speaker 1: Got Tonight, which originally aired on the Hallmark Channel on Sunday,
- 0:26Speaker 1: May tenth, and is currently available to stream on Hallmark Plus.
- 0:31Speaker 1: One of our favorite things about the Way Home are
- 0:33Speaker 1: your listener emails and voicemails, which you can send to
- 0:37Speaker 1: us at Hello at Girls Gonehollmark dot com or drop
- 0:40Speaker 1: us a voicemail nine four nine three two nine eight
- 0:43Speaker 1: zero nine zero and come back on Friday for all
- 0:46Speaker 1: your thoughts on.
- 0:47Speaker 2: This week's episode.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I think we have a lot to talk about in
- 0:50Speaker 1: this episode, so why don't we kick it off with
- 0:51Speaker 1: a synopsis. When Nick arrives back in Port Haven, Dell
- 0:55Speaker 1: throws a party like old times. Alice has to keep
- 0:58Speaker 1: her distance from young Colton and Dell, but tries to
- 1:01Speaker 1: learn more.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Dun, Dun, Dun.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The title of this episode is We've Got Tonight. Do
- 1:08Speaker 1: you know that song?
- 1:09Speaker 2: We've got some? Probably come on?
- 1:13Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, I know the Kenny Rodgers version. I mean,
- 1:19Speaker 1: I grew up listening to this music, so.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's a good song. Yeah, it's a.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Really good song. And then this episode had another really
- 1:28Speaker 1: good song in it too, when Dale's dancing in our
- 1:31Speaker 1: kitchen to it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, dancing in the moon.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a good song too.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And we heard that song in another era too, did we. Yeah,
- 1:43Speaker 1: Dell was listening to like the recorded version in present day.
- 1:46Speaker 1: And then we get the flashback to the seventies. Oh,
- 1:49Speaker 1: the kitchen party. Colton's playing in the kitchen party. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:53Speaker 1: We've got tonight. The original was released by Bob Seeker
- 1:57Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy eight. The Kenny Rodgers version came out
- 1:59Speaker 1: a night teen eighty three. Both of those dates are
- 2:01Speaker 1: significant for us here on The Way Home, so we
- 2:04Speaker 1: shall see very interesting. I'm sure there is a connection.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It's no coincidence here. Hey, what is your first impression
- 2:14Speaker 1: of The Way Home? Episode four, Season four? We wanted
- 2:17Speaker 1: Thomas back, and the writers technically complied, Yeah, were you
- 2:24Speaker 1: disappointed that he's not corporeal? Yes? Yeah, he's a figment
- 2:30Speaker 1: of poor Jacob's imagination. I thought it was really freaking
- 2:34Speaker 1: cool though, how they did it? Yes, what's your first impression?
- 2:40Speaker 1: My first impression is I'm getting a little too much
- 2:43Speaker 1: of everything I love about this show right now, stuck
- 2:46Speaker 1: in mysteries on mysteries and waiting for literally even one answer.
- 2:51Speaker 1: These are things you love like, it's doing too much.
- 2:54Speaker 2: It's doing too much. I agree.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I texted you, we're all watching this, yeah, and I
- 3:00Speaker 1: was like, I feel dot dot dot annoyed. There's so
- 3:05Speaker 1: many things happening in this episode, and as much as
- 3:09Speaker 1: I love this show, I was like, are we like.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Have we gone way too what?
- 3:16Speaker 1: What? Well? And we'll talk about one of the biggest
- 3:18Speaker 1: conundrums of this episode poses but I had to literally
- 3:21Speaker 1: lay down with my eyes closed and try and puzzle
- 3:25Speaker 1: it out. So let's get into this episode. Okay, what
- 3:29Speaker 1: do you want to start with? Gonna start with Jacob
- 3:31Speaker 1: in Toronto? Since we talked about Thomas, sure, I mean,
- 3:34Speaker 1: we get to see Jacob at his little bar in Toronto.
- 3:37Speaker 1: For a brief second. It was giving ripple, Oh for sure.
- 3:40Speaker 1: What do you think about that woman and man who
- 3:43Speaker 1: come in in the beginning. The man's like such a
- 3:45Speaker 1: blowhart and the woman's like, we'll see later, old soul.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I think there's a reason for sure. I don't know
- 3:52Speaker 1: what it is. And of course, when I watch this show,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, is that Claire? Is that Tessa? Is?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Like I just want to watch it and enjoy it
- 4:02Speaker 1: and not try to figure it out.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Could this person be somebody?
- 4:07Speaker 1: Sure? Could it just be a beautiful woman who was
- 4:10Speaker 1: attracted to Jacob?
- 4:12Speaker 3: Sure?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Yeah. I think Jacob has a hard time envisioning his future.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Jacob's stuck in his head, and I don't think he
- 4:18Speaker 1: can envision like the right way forward for himself. So
- 4:20Speaker 1: I was thinking, maybe that's just hinting at like Jacob
- 4:24Speaker 1: has a happy future with this woman. They made a
- 4:26Speaker 1: connection when she first walked in. I thought, oh, they
- 4:29Speaker 1: recognize each other.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, But then it.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Just seems like maybe this was just an attractive woman
- 4:35Speaker 1: that Jacob was noticing and she was noticing him, and
- 4:37Speaker 1: they just had this connection, and she realized she was
- 4:39Speaker 1: on a terrible blind date and she was looking for
- 4:41Speaker 1: anything that would save her.
- 4:43Speaker 2: So I think you're right.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I don't think anything is coincidental, and they could have
- 4:46Speaker 1: done the you know, we don't do a sprescial Martini
- 4:49Speaker 1: stick in any other number of ways without introducing this woman,
- 4:53Speaker 1: right exactly.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Obviously, the big.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Thing happening with Jacob is that he is being visited
- 4:58Speaker 1: by this spirit of Thomas. I don't take it as that.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think it's his conscious Well, yes, I agree with you. Yesay,
- 5:07Speaker 1: like we're not actually getting like ghost Thomas. No no, no, no,
- 5:09Speaker 1: no no, no, you're right, it's like his little Jimminy cricket. Yeah.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think it's really effective.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I loved it because they need somebody for Jacob to
- 5:19Speaker 1: kind of talk to bounce issues off of, right, and
- 5:23Speaker 1: he literally has nobody in Toronto.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So yeah, and it's so much better that they.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Have him like envisioning Thomas as this person, as opposed
- 5:32Speaker 1: to him having these conversations with the bar manager, someone
- 5:36Speaker 1: who's meaningless to us exactly. I'm kind of surprised that
- 5:40Speaker 1: they didn't bring like Elijah back in this role.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but they know what the viewers want.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm saying somebody listening to us. Sure,
- 5:51Speaker 1: I think it's really cool. Like Honestly, when I saw
- 5:55Speaker 1: Chris holden Reid, I was.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Like what Yeah, and then like.
- 5:59Speaker 1: When I realize the purpose, I was like, Okay, But
- 6:04Speaker 1: I still it's very exciting that he's there. Obviously, what
- 6:07Speaker 1: these two are talking about, I think is interesting to
- 6:11Speaker 1: Jacob's storyline. You know, Jacob's trying to convince himself that
- 6:15Speaker 1: the family is better off without him, and that's very
- 6:18Speaker 1: much tied to like his trauma. And I like that
- 6:22Speaker 1: Thomas is pushing back on that. He keeps forcing Jacob
- 6:26Speaker 1: to confront these things. Leaving again might actually be hurting
- 6:31Speaker 1: everyone more. Yes, and I think we see that. I'm
- 6:36Speaker 1: going to jump ahead a second towards the end of
- 6:38Speaker 1: the episode, when Dell's having their kitchen party and the
- 6:41Speaker 1: phone rings, it's very much season one Dell.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yes, when she.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Runs back to the phone, it's Jacob. You know, she
- 6:47Speaker 1: was just waiting for any information about Jacob. I liked
- 6:51Speaker 1: this inclusion of Jacob in this episode. I like telling
- 6:54Speaker 1: this storyline.
- 6:55Speaker 2: But I do think it's a little bit.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Criminal that in episode two and three we really only
- 6:59Speaker 1: saw him be.
- 7:00Speaker 2: A text message. Yeah, that's my feeling on it.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I agree.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I agree.
- 7:04Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on Elliott going to bring Jacob home?
- 7:07Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Actually, really tell me more. Elliott doesn't get a lot
- 7:12Speaker 1: to do and a lot of our stories are told
- 7:16Speaker 1: around Kat and Alice saving people in the past, rescuing Jacob,
- 7:20Speaker 1: figuring out Susannah, helping her. Now we're going to deal
- 7:25Speaker 1: with Tessa. Elliott finally has a tangible path forward that
- 7:30Speaker 1: is helpful to Dell, helpful to Cat. It's something that
- 7:33Speaker 1: he can do, he can take off on his own.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It gives him a purpose. I think it's nice for
- 7:38Speaker 1: Elliott to be the one to say to Jacob, you're wanted,
- 7:42Speaker 1: because I think coming from Cat and Dell, it can
- 7:46Speaker 1: maybe feel like an obligation, like, of course, your mom
- 7:49Speaker 1: and your sister are going to say come home because
- 7:51Speaker 1: we're worried about you, and they're going to put their
- 7:53Speaker 1: feelings about you being home ahead of any trauma that
- 7:56Speaker 1: Jacob feels like he's projecting on them. But I feel
- 8:00Speaker 1: like it means more coming from Elliott well, and I
- 8:03Speaker 1: think as if you were to have Elliott be the
- 8:07Speaker 1: one person to go to Jacob. Obviously we know Jacob
- 8:13Speaker 1: is not really in the know, but we know that
- 8:17Speaker 1: Elliott feels disconnected from his own life or his family history.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You know, he's going through all this stuff with his mom.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Jacob's unaware of all that stuff. So so Elliott going
- 8:26Speaker 1: to him and being like, hey, we want you or
- 8:30Speaker 1: they want you to be there. It's poignant, you know,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you saying that made me think of something else though.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Kat and Alice are willing to jump in the pond
- 8:38Speaker 1: and travel through time, but not willing to get on
- 8:42Speaker 1: a plane. Kat just wants to text bombing, but she
- 8:45Speaker 1: doesn't want.
- 8:46Speaker 2: To text you. What's a power texting? Power text? I
- 8:53Speaker 2: think that's kind of interesting.
- 8:54Speaker 1: That is really interesting actually, because Kat definitely has the
- 8:59Speaker 1: means to get on an airplane going to go try
- 9:00Speaker 1: to find him. Sure, and once they found out, I mean,
- 9:03Speaker 1: if Elliott knew where he was, then so did everybody
- 9:06Speaker 1: else at that point. So that's interesting, very interesting. You
- 9:10Speaker 1: want to talk about Kat investigating old mister Grayson Goodwin
- 9:14Speaker 1: and the Harald connection. She needs to dial it back.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm so frustrated with Kat in this episode. Okay, here's
- 9:23Speaker 1: my biggest beef right now. Okay, Kat has become a
- 9:27Speaker 1: full time detective. Yeah, full time time traveling detective. It's
- 9:33Speaker 1: starting to stress me out. In season four, it's finally
- 9:37Speaker 1: starting to stress me out. It's like Hannah Swinson the
- 9:41Speaker 1: Baker turn detective. Sure, it's like Kat, It's like it's
- 9:46Speaker 1: so Hallmark. Every scene with her is she is chasing
- 9:51Speaker 1: some clues.
- 9:52Speaker 2: I gotta hope save this person.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Jumping timelines, connecting conspiracies, digging through archives like she's trying to.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Crack the case. There's no balance in her life at all.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It is so hard to watch.
- 10:08Speaker 1: And that's why I'm like, does she want to get
- 10:11Speaker 1: married to Elliott right now? I know she's like, I
- 10:13Speaker 1: want to ring, I want to get engaged, But I'm like,
- 10:16Speaker 1: what is happening? Like You're just out in the world
- 10:19Speaker 1: doing all these crazy things all the time as a
- 10:24Speaker 1: parent getting ready to send my own child to college,
- 10:28Speaker 1: Like why is none of that happening? Like Cat's nice,
- 10:31Speaker 1: why are we not shopping for dorm room supplies and
- 10:33Speaker 1: needed wuzoo? Fan? I can't help me, So.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Get the one on the stand.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I'm just saying, it's so interesting.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And then I wonder.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I honestly laughed out loud when she's like, oh, I
- 10:50Speaker 1: got to go to work at the Herald. I was like,
- 10:52Speaker 1: you haven't been at work at the Herald in three years?
- 10:54Speaker 2: Like well, and she's like, I think I'm gonna shut
- 10:57Speaker 2: it down.
- 10:57Speaker 1: And in that moment I was like, and all of
- 10:59Speaker 1: God's people said, a men, because it is about time.
- 11:03Speaker 2: She does not.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Work there, and she's like, oh, well, the paper's not
- 11:06Speaker 1: important to the town. Maybe it would be if you
- 11:09Speaker 1: wrote it. Also, I'm just very curious. Is Kat single
- 11:12Speaker 1: handedly responsible for writing the entire newspaper herself?
- 11:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:17Speaker 1: That seems untenable. Is it even for someone who shows
- 11:21Speaker 1: up to work every day? Is it like a printed newspaper?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Like where is it getting printed at? Oh, she's not
- 11:26Speaker 1: like printing it in her office there, but I mean
- 11:29Speaker 1: it's all digital. They send it off, they print it,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and they probably have like a third party distribution service.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I don't think Cat's responsible for like delivering it to
- 11:36Speaker 1: the little grocery Storestann a bike.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, chous.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It is weird though, like why is the show bringing
- 11:46Speaker 1: this up now?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Why why they didn't even.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Have to mention her being at the Herald at all
- 11:52Speaker 1: in this episode. They haven't talked about it in three years.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Us as viewers have just been like, Okay, she has
- 11:57Speaker 1: this show, but she doesn't really go there because her
- 11:59Speaker 1: full time job is being a time traveling detective.
- 12:02Speaker 2: So here's why I think they brought it up. I
- 12:04Speaker 2: think two reasons.
- 12:05Speaker 1: One, we all know that Evelyn's files are at the Herald,
- 12:07Speaker 1: so she needed a reason to be going through those.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Two.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I do think we need to close the loop on
- 12:12Speaker 1: the Herald. We've all been saying Kat's the worst employee
- 12:14Speaker 1: of all time, and so while we know she works there,
- 12:18Speaker 1: I think it is important that she decided I'm.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Going to move on.
- 12:22Speaker 1: I'm going to write my novel or write a history
- 12:24Speaker 1: of Port Haven. I think we needed that small little
- 12:27Speaker 1: button on the Harold storyline. I would like to say
- 12:31Speaker 1: something about the novel. Where did we hear someone saying
- 12:36Speaker 1: what if? Was it you who said what if? This
- 12:40Speaker 1: entire series is Kat's novel? I mean, I hope I
- 12:44Speaker 1: said it, because I love that idea, But I can't
- 12:46Speaker 1: remember if I said it or not, or if I
- 12:49Speaker 1: read it in an email. I don't remember. I don't
- 12:51Speaker 1: remember either. But somebody had said what if? That's the conclusion?
- 12:55Speaker 1: And I hate that. That's like the whole that's a
- 12:58Speaker 1: cop out of an ending. I think they're like, none
- 13:01Speaker 1: of it ever happened. This was a figment of cats
- 13:03Speaker 1: and mel.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, we did talk about this.
- 13:05Speaker 1: It's like lost right, right, right, Yeah, so I don't know.
- 13:09Speaker 1: But again, this episode is so frustrating because she she's
- 13:13Speaker 1: investigating Grayson and she's like, oh, I found these this
- 13:16Speaker 1: insignia on the bullet casing and it's the exact same
- 13:18Speaker 1: as the insignia on Grayson in this photo that I
- 13:20Speaker 1: took at the cabin and and now I'm going to
- 13:22Speaker 1: go through Grayson's files. And Grayson had a sister who died.
- 13:25Speaker 1: They look like the children who were in the White
- 13:28Speaker 1: Witch mirror. And I'm like, oh my gosh, stop it.
- 13:31Speaker 1: With the new information, we have to start closing threats.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I found that so frustrating. I hated, hated. Please don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: send your emails to me. I can be critical of
- 13:46Speaker 1: some things I didn't like in an episode, but I
- 13:49Speaker 1: hated that she was like like, you said the insignia,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and then this and that means this, and then that
- 13:55Speaker 1: means this and this, and then I We're gonna this
- 13:57Speaker 1: is it, and I'm.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Like, stop it, stop it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: I know I still enjoy this show, but I do
- 14:02Speaker 1: feel like in some ways the writers have bitten off
- 14:04Speaker 1: more than they can chew. And I hope I eat
- 14:07Speaker 1: my words at the end and it's all very satisfactory,
- 14:10Speaker 1: but we're at episode four and there's no answers at all,
- 14:14Speaker 1: Like we're just more and we're just piling on information
- 14:18Speaker 1: and it gets worse.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I'm frustrated.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, me, she's irustrated, totally frustrated. But I can't help
- 14:24Speaker 1: but think like Kat hasn't changed at all in four seasons.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I don't think in terms of like she's never been
- 14:31Speaker 1: able to find enough answers and she thinks she can
- 14:34Speaker 1: fix everything. This has been her pattern since season one. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: my win is enough enough? Agree, you know, I if
- 14:44Speaker 1: it wasn't for the Alice is so much more thoughtful
- 14:48Speaker 1: about her time traveling. Yes, yeah, and she says like.
- 14:51Speaker 2: I don't think I should go back. I don't think
- 14:53Speaker 2: I go back.
- 14:54Speaker 1: And when she does go back, it's in a very
- 14:57Speaker 1: like lurking sort of way and very interesting. Yeah, really interesting.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Let's talk about Alice in the seventies. Okay, Like I mentioned,
- 15:05Speaker 1: she goes back, but she doesn't interact with any of
- 15:07Speaker 1: our main players, but she is. She's I feel like
- 15:11Speaker 1: she's functioning like an the audience right now. Oh yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 1: because she's just, like like you said, lurking, like she's
- 15:18Speaker 1: observing everything and we The only interaction she has is
- 15:23Speaker 1: with Tessa, and basically she says, I kept your secret
- 15:27Speaker 1: about stealing that money, you keep mine. Obviously, she witnesses
- 15:31Speaker 1: this kitchen party. Dell had told us in the present day, like, oh,
- 15:33Speaker 1: they had these epic kitchen parties. And when she said
- 15:36Speaker 1: like epic, I was picturing something more than this, I
- 15:39Speaker 1: have to admit, like this place was like the place
- 15:42Speaker 1: to be. And it's eight people in their kitchen playing guitar,
- 15:46Speaker 1: eating food, drinking wine. I mean it's fun, looks like
- 15:50Speaker 1: a good time. Yeah, I wouldn't want a big rager anyway.
- 15:54Speaker 1: You know, epic means different things to sure.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I mean it was memorable.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I'm gonna have an epic night, and I watching TV
- 16:01Speaker 1: on my couch in Yeah, exactly with the heating pad. Obviously.
- 16:07Speaker 1: The main thing that happens is this Tessa Fern blow up.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Fern comes downstairs, she sees Tessa and she freaks out,
- 16:15Speaker 1: You'll never be a Landry, And Colton's like, she's not
- 16:17Speaker 1: going to be a Landry, She's going to be in Augustine,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and Fern is like outside pacing. It's like the end
- 16:24Speaker 1: is her beginning. In the beginning is her end the
- 16:26Speaker 1: end is something like that. She's trying to puzzle it out.
- 16:29Speaker 1: She can't figure out what's going on with Tessa. Obviously
- 16:32Speaker 1: this is happening happening parallel with with Kat in the twenties,
- 16:36Speaker 1: trying to figure out how Fern knows Tessa and all
- 16:40Speaker 1: of that. So we're trying to put these things together
- 16:43Speaker 1: in two different timelines, and we obviously haven't figured out
- 16:46Speaker 1: how Fern knows Tessa in the relationship, but Fern's not
- 16:49Speaker 1: a big fan of Tessa, and Tessa at this point
- 16:53Speaker 1: hasn't met Fern.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the.
- 16:54Speaker 1: First time that she encounters and she certainly hasn't met
- 16:58Speaker 1: young Fern at this point, right right, which Kat puzzles
- 17:03Speaker 1: together later in the episode. I want to talk about
- 17:06Speaker 1: Tessa for a second. Yeah, I think that Tessa stuff
- 17:08Speaker 1: is the most compelling part that's coming out of the
- 17:10Speaker 1: seventy timeline.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Of course, we.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Learn some other details about Dellan Colton having a baby,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and this is nineteen seventy nine, which does not line
- 17:22Speaker 1: up with Kat's actual birth year. We'll talk about it
- 17:26Speaker 1: in a second. But Tessa is deeply suspicious to me.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I like, why does she go to get that almanac
- 17:33Speaker 1: and look at the Jacob? Why does she get the almanac?
- 17:36Speaker 1: Why does she have this weird conversation with Alice out front?
- 17:40Speaker 2: H it feels very much like Tessa. You feel like
- 17:43Speaker 2: Tessa knows more than she lets on.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Sure, And then what I don't understand. If we're backing
- 17:48Speaker 1: up further, Tessa and Dick have this whole conversation outside
- 17:51Speaker 1: the landry house like, oh, You've been working so hard
- 17:53Speaker 1: for a year for this, and she wants friends that
- 17:56Speaker 1: feel like family and like it's all happening.
- 18:00Speaker 2: What Because I have a.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Hard time believing that Dell and Colton wouldn't just be like, oh, hey,
- 18:06Speaker 1: come hang out with us. Like why did tests I
- 18:08Speaker 1: have to work so hard to get so close to
- 18:10Speaker 1: these people over a whole year.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 18:13Speaker 1: If it's just like the history with like the Augustines
- 18:15Speaker 1: kind of being the odd man out and Vic wasn't
- 18:19Speaker 1: really in that circle after I don't buy that brother died.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I don't buy that because remember Colton sitting in the
- 18:26Speaker 1: diner and I'm like, hey, hey, buddy, come sit with us,
- 18:29Speaker 1: and like Vic, sure, you know, took off, but I
- 18:33Speaker 1: don't think Colton and Dell would would hold Vic's feet
- 18:36Speaker 1: to the fire and be like, no, you can't be friends,
- 18:38Speaker 1: but you can't sit with those, Sure, you can't be
- 18:40Speaker 1: friends with us. I don't know. I just the whole
- 18:43Speaker 1: Tessa storyline is weird to me. It is she's weird
- 18:48Speaker 1: to me.
- 18:49Speaker 2: I don't know what it is.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a weird It was noted in our listener
- 18:53Speaker 1: mail bag that when Alice asks her you know where
- 18:56Speaker 1: she's from, what she's doing there, she's kind of cagy
- 18:59Speaker 1: about it, and there is something weird about her, like
- 19:02Speaker 1: otherworldly almost. I don't even know how to describe it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You mentioned Delle's pregnancy in this scene. It's cute because
- 19:11Speaker 1: Evelyn doesn't say anything, but I think she suspects because
- 19:14Speaker 1: she hands Dell a glass of wine and then she
- 19:15Speaker 1: like watches Dell not drink it.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Earlier in the episode Present Day, Dell had said like, well, Kat,
- 19:21Speaker 1: you were born in nineteen eighty two, so we knew
- 19:23Speaker 1: Kat was born in nineteen eighty two. Once again, I
- 19:25Speaker 1: know I was wrong about how old she is, but also,
- 19:28Speaker 1: this is nineteen seventy nine that Alice is visiting, and
- 19:32Speaker 1: obviously pregnancies are not three years long, so does she
- 19:35Speaker 1: have a miscarriage. That's the most likely assumption I think,
- 19:39Speaker 1: other than like this is another baby that gets sent away,
- 19:42Speaker 1: dropped through the pond.
- 19:43Speaker 2: What No, I hope not. I hope not.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I mean I don't hope for the alternative either. While
- 19:50Speaker 1: watching this, I went is Colton the actual biological father
- 19:55Speaker 1: of cat Oh? Because Delle's says something like it was
- 20:03Speaker 1: very hard for them to get pregnant, right, and then
- 20:06Speaker 1: if she loses this pregnancy, then what like, is it
- 20:10Speaker 1: possible that Griffin is the father of Cabbet?
- 20:16Speaker 2: I don't like that.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I just put that in your back pocket, just put
- 20:21Speaker 1: that in my possible I just don't like it. Okay,
- 20:33Speaker 1: let's talk present day kitchen party. Okay, first of all,
- 20:36Speaker 1: can I before we get into the kitchen party for
- 20:40Speaker 1: Nick's homecoming? Why is Nick coming back? He walks in
- 20:45Speaker 1: and I was like, ugh, I don't want anything to
- 20:49Speaker 1: do with Nick.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Still no Claire, Still no Claire.
- 20:53Speaker 1: I actually want to talk about Nick, like at the
- 20:56Speaker 1: end of our episode. Okay, but you know, don't want
- 20:59Speaker 1: to have this big line.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Yeah, since when is Dell Nick's biggest fan? Agreed?
- 21:04Speaker 1: She was so happy to see him, and I don't
- 21:06Speaker 1: think she had any negative feelings towards Nick, but I
- 21:09Speaker 1: just thought she greeted him like her long lost son.
- 21:12Speaker 1: And then she's like, we got to have this homecoming.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I was like, oh, Delle really likes mister Julian here,
- 21:17Speaker 1: and she's like, we gotta celebrate Nick coming back so
- 21:19Speaker 1: I can get it on this milk toased biofather over here. Okay, Well,
- 21:24Speaker 1: first of all, that introducing Julian feels very unnecessary to me.
- 21:29Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a reason for it, but why are
- 21:33Speaker 1: we introducing another new character in episode four of the
- 21:38Speaker 1: final season. And I don't like And I think there's
- 21:42Speaker 1: more to it, but I don't like this triangle that
- 21:45Speaker 1: this love triangle that they have set up between Julian
- 21:48Speaker 1: Salmon Dell. I do believe it's going to be less
- 21:53Speaker 1: about a love triangle and more of a storytelling tool
- 21:57Speaker 1: for Dell because episode this is where like my hairstep
- 22:03Speaker 1: on my neck a little bit, when Julian and Delle
- 22:06Speaker 1: have this conversation, like she wants to know how Julian
- 22:10Speaker 1: got to be where he is in his life, like
- 22:12Speaker 1: how did you become the Biodad to Nick blah blah
- 22:16Speaker 1: blah whatever. It's basically mentioned that there's this unconventional family
- 22:21Speaker 1: structure for them, right, And I was like, oh, this
- 22:25Speaker 1: is also happening concurrently about Dell's pregnancy timeline unfolding, And
- 22:31Speaker 1: I was like, unconventional family structure. Could we be implying that,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like Colton is not the father of Dell's kids?
- 22:41Speaker 2: Here? Do you see what I'm no?
- 22:44Speaker 1: I absolutely do, And I think that's an interesting parallel
- 22:47Speaker 1: that I absolutely hadn't pulled. I had other thoughts about
- 22:50Speaker 1: Julian's presence, but yeah, that's a good point. I think
- 22:54Speaker 1: this episode wants us to start thinking about like family
- 22:57Speaker 1: lines and who belongs to who, and like how how
- 23:00Speaker 1: people got to be where they are. It's interesting because
- 23:04Speaker 1: we didn't need to have the mechanics of like how
- 23:06Speaker 1: did NA get here?
- 23:07Speaker 2: Because it's not all.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That uncommon that a saying Set's couple would turn to
- 23:11Speaker 1: a close friend of theirs and be like, hey, will
- 23:13Speaker 1: you be the biolog I don't think that's an uncommon
- 23:16Speaker 1: thing exactly, certainly not unheard of, so we didn't need it. Right,
- 23:21Speaker 1: my feeling on Julian before now, I had a spinning,
- 23:25Speaker 1: but was more that he was a vehicle to make
- 23:29Speaker 1: Dell think more clearly about her relationship with Sam, and
- 23:33Speaker 1: I actually kind of don't like it. I don't like
- 23:36Speaker 1: Dell's reaction here we're talking about the kitchen party. But
- 23:39Speaker 1: if I can just talk about Dell and Sam here,
- 23:41Speaker 1: they have that confrontation in the stables and Dell's like,
- 23:46Speaker 1: I'm not something to be taken for granted. Our relationship
- 23:48Speaker 1: is a gift. And I just thought, like, when Julian says,
- 23:52Speaker 1: you guys seem very comfortable, she takes that as a
- 23:55Speaker 1: slight totally, And I think, Okay, I don't see Sam
- 23:59Speaker 1: taking advantage of Dell at all or taking her for granted.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I should say, like he seems all in on their relationship.
- 24:06Speaker 1: To me, it just seems like a convenient excuse for Dell,
- 24:08Speaker 1: who isn't quite ready to commit to Sam for whatever reason,
- 24:12Speaker 1: for her to be like, oh, you take us for granted,
- 24:14Speaker 1: we're too comfortable. I feel like, if I am the
- 24:18Speaker 1: grandmother of a child going to college, the best I
- 24:21Speaker 1: can ask for is a relationship that I'm comfortable in totally,
- 24:25Speaker 1: Like that seems like a dream if you're just like
- 24:27Speaker 1: we're cool man totally. Well, I yeah, I was like,
- 24:30Speaker 1: why is Dale getting so like offended?
- 24:34Speaker 2: Like they just seemed maybe she's just.
- 24:36Speaker 1: So overwhelmed by Sam wanting her to move in and
- 24:40Speaker 1: at the beginning of the episode that she's like, I'm
- 24:41Speaker 1: not ready to talk about that.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I need to table that. And I like a lot
- 24:45Speaker 2: of change is coming for her.
- 24:46Speaker 1: I get that, like she is finally going to be alone,
- 24:48Speaker 1: and I think it's perfectly reasonable for her to say, like, look,
- 24:51Speaker 1: not finally, because she was alone for a long time.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Sure I heard of them, but there's a lot of change.
- 24:56Speaker 1: I think it's fine for her to say, like I
- 24:57Speaker 1: need to process my grandchild moving away, my daughter moving
- 25:01Speaker 1: in with her future husband, let me figure out where
- 25:05Speaker 1: I am before we move in together. But throwing this
- 25:07Speaker 1: bomb in her relationship I thought was unnecessary and a
- 25:11Speaker 1: little She's like Jacob in this moment, a little self destructive. Yeah,
- 25:16Speaker 1: for sure, for sure. Also at that kitchen party, Julian
- 25:21Speaker 1: recites a passage from The Tempest. Yes, I have never
- 25:24Speaker 1: read The Tempest, but I googled its significance because that's
- 25:27Speaker 1: what I did. Now the AI overview on Google. I'm
- 25:33Speaker 1: admitting this is as far as I went. Okay, y'all,
- 25:36Speaker 1: because this show's doing a lot. The speaker in this
- 25:39Speaker 1: passage is Prospero, reflecting on the impermanence of existence, and
- 25:45Speaker 1: it says it highlights the intersection of illusion, reality and mortality.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Oh interesting, very interesting. Do I know what that means
- 25:56Speaker 2: at this point?
- 25:56Speaker 1: No? I do not. Are we going to come back
- 25:58Speaker 1: around to it? Sure as hell helps? So what are
- 26:02Speaker 1: your thoughts?
- 26:04Speaker 2: I mean I was googling as well. M hmm.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Like you can't throw like Shakespeare into like a I
- 26:11Speaker 1: mean you can, but I just need a I just
- 26:14Speaker 1: need some context, like hit me over the head with
- 26:17Speaker 1: it a little bit more sure?
- 26:20Speaker 2: What is the theme here? What are you trying to say?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Give me a little exposition where Kat's like, oh, that's
- 26:25Speaker 1: so interesting because exactly exactly. I'm sure they're smarter viewers
- 26:31Speaker 1: out there who got the reference. Why is Julian bumping
- 26:35Speaker 1: on the snapdragons? What the hell is going on there? Yeah?
- 26:38Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:40Speaker 1: The Other thing about the Kitchen party is Alice comes
- 26:43Speaker 1: home from her nineteen seventy nine travel and she's not
- 26:47Speaker 1: wet FYI either. Oh look at that, And she's like, no,
- 26:52Speaker 1: I want to sing for you, Dell, because she's heartbroken
- 26:54Speaker 1: knowing that something's gonna happen with this pregnancy that she's
- 26:57Speaker 1: just seen in nineteen seventy nine. And of course it's
- 27:01Speaker 1: she's hands Elliott some sheet music on her phone and
- 27:05Speaker 1: it's the same song Coulton was singing at the nineteen
- 27:07Speaker 1: seventies kitchen party. Doll gets emotional, and this is when
- 27:10Speaker 1: we get our phone call from.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Jacob del Say's I almost had it.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah, like, these people are dealing with so much trauma,
- 27:18Speaker 1: but you can't go to a therapist and talk about
- 27:22Speaker 1: time travel. You know. I had a question, there's so
- 27:27Speaker 1: much like I'm no fun. First of all, let's establish
- 27:32Speaker 1: that if we haven't already. But they're singing like these
- 27:35Speaker 1: old timey songs that I is not realistic.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Five one in four came out. Yeah, why are they
- 27:44Speaker 2: singing that?
- 27:45Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's relevant to our show, but
- 27:47Speaker 1: wouldn't you be like doing your best Kendrick Lamar or
- 27:50Speaker 1: something like that, busting out your Britney spears moment.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I just yeah, but again they needed the rights.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, I was like, what why are we
- 28:02Speaker 1: singing these songs? Like? It just seems so weird to
- 28:06Speaker 1: me in different time eras you know. Well, I'm sure
- 28:12Speaker 1: there's like some California songs that are relevant to where
- 28:17Speaker 1: I live, but we don't gather around the kitchen and
- 28:21Speaker 1: sing them. You know.
- 28:22Speaker 2: It just is weird. It's not a third grade play
- 28:25Speaker 2: about your community.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Yes, that's what it's giving, exact that a walk through
- 28:30Speaker 1: port Heavens.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Yet you know, oh man, if you know you know, oh.
- 28:37Speaker 1: My goodness, Okay, let's talk for An and Cat in
- 28:40Speaker 1: nineteen twenty nine, okay, or actually, my bad, I don't
- 28:43Speaker 1: know if it's nineteen twenty five. Yeah, for An in
- 28:45Speaker 1: Cat in nineteen twenty five.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be honest.
- 28:49Speaker 1: It's this is the one storyline that's losing me a
- 28:52Speaker 1: little bit.
- 28:53Speaker 2: I like the idea of Fern.
- 28:56Speaker 1: She's an unreliable narrator, so I don't I'm like, I
- 29:00Speaker 1: trust you, what's going on with you?
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 29:01Speaker 1: But here's my criticism is that in the nineteen twenty
- 29:05Speaker 1: scenes they veer almost into everyone is talking like a
- 29:10Speaker 1: caricature of an old movie, especially Fern, especially Fern, and
- 29:15Speaker 1: then Cliff kind of does it too.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Like all the scenes with Cliff are like Humphrey booger.
- 29:23Speaker 1: I know this is probably a wrong reference. I know
- 29:26Speaker 1: what you mean, but it's very much like a little
- 29:28Speaker 1: tib of the hat and it like looks black and white.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Might as well have a cigar hanging out the corner
- 29:32Speaker 2: of his mouth.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just like, what I don't these feel corny
- 29:38Speaker 1: to me a little bit. And when we have a
- 29:41Speaker 1: show that feels grounded, it's a time travel show, Like
- 29:45Speaker 1: those scenes feel rounded to me compared to like these
- 29:49Speaker 1: nineteen twenty scenes feel like a I'm watching an old movie. Yeah,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I agree with you, because there's something about the vehicle
- 29:57Speaker 1: through which they time travel being the pond and not
- 30:00Speaker 1: some actual like science fiction situation. Because when Nick's like
- 30:04Speaker 1: I get to go in the time machine, right, oh
- 30:06Speaker 1: my god, which Nick, it dies annoying.
- 30:09Speaker 2: But you're right that usually, like when we're in.
- 30:12Speaker 1: The nineties or we're in the seventies, there's nothing about
- 30:15Speaker 1: that that feels like back to the future. Martin McFly, Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 1: pump up sneakers. This scene, Cliff gives this monologue about
- 30:24Speaker 1: like it's all about the money and all we do
- 30:26Speaker 1: is arrest people and let them go, and it's just
- 30:28Speaker 1: I was like, what's going on there, and then Tessa
- 30:32Speaker 1: comes in and she's like, I gotta save my girl, Cat,
- 30:35Speaker 1: and I put you in jail to save you from
- 30:37Speaker 1: the Augi brothers.
- 30:37Speaker 2: They're they're coming to get you. What Yeah? What yeah,
- 30:42Speaker 2: big old question mark?
- 30:43Speaker 1: What? M M yeah, I agree. I had a feeling. Well,
- 30:49Speaker 1: obviously I thought Fern was the one who drugged her,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and I had a feeling it was under the guise
- 30:55Speaker 1: of protecting her. Sure, but give us some more reason.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Why would the Augi brothers be after Kat? Like she
- 31:01Speaker 1: just says this stuff to Kat and Kat doesn't say why,
- 31:05Speaker 1: Like what is it about me that they would come
- 31:08Speaker 1: after me? Right? Like we're not getting there, like, but
- 31:12Speaker 1: then Kat's like trying to put all these pieces together
- 31:14Speaker 1: and like not real not asking the right questions?
- 31:18Speaker 2: Correct?
- 31:19Speaker 1: Can I Can I talk about Nick for another minute?
- 31:23Speaker 2: Please do?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Why is he so invested? I'm getting red flax from Nick? Oh.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I just think he wants to be included, but maybe
- 31:33Speaker 1: I should be getting I think he's just like I
- 31:35Speaker 1: want to be part of the Scooby Gang, which I'm like,
- 31:39Speaker 1: go away. First of all, like this is like a
- 31:41Speaker 1: generational family secret that they've let you in on, which
- 31:46Speaker 1: is a big mistake in my opinion. Nobody else knows
- 31:49Speaker 1: about it except for Nick. Yeah, well and Elliott. But
- 31:52Speaker 1: Nick come on and every time like he comes into
- 31:56Speaker 1: a scene, He's like, what's going on, give me the tea,
- 31:58Speaker 1: what's the latest, tell me what you found out. I'm like, dude,
- 32:02Speaker 1: you're asking too many questions, like just chill. And then
- 32:07Speaker 1: at the end, what is Kat thinking she's gonna bring
- 32:11Speaker 1: Nick with her in the pond?
- 32:13Speaker 2: Well, he's disposable. Yikes. I think that's why. Oh my god,
- 32:21Speaker 2: how do you explain that Nick just goes missing?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Like he gets trapped in a time. You know, you
- 32:27Speaker 1: have an invisible fiance who's gonna miss him? I think
- 32:30Speaker 1: she takes a Jolie's disposable because Alice wants to go
- 32:34Speaker 1: and Kat's like no, it's it's too dangerous. And so
- 32:36Speaker 1: Nick's like I'll go, and Kat's like, all right, Elliot's gone.
- 32:39Speaker 1: She needs someone to go with her, and I think
- 32:42Speaker 1: she's willing to risk Nick. Why does Nick need to
- 32:44Speaker 1: go with her for protection? I mean that's the way
- 32:47Speaker 1: he sold it. I know, I'm been a bosin, I
- 32:49Speaker 1: know how to be a whatever. I'm like, what he's
- 32:52Speaker 1: a what he said he was a bosin on a
- 32:55Speaker 1: boat girl, Oh oh, watching a bolow deck.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Yes, I heard. I don't You're right, but I.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Just think it's so weird. And when he was being
- 33:03Speaker 1: so goofy about like I get to go on the
- 33:05Speaker 1: toy machine, I'm like, nope, nope, I don't know.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I hate Nick. I don't hate him.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I just I think he's just kind of this like
- 33:15Speaker 1: clown a little bit. I hate the character they made
- 33:19Speaker 1: him as an adult because I thought he was so
- 33:22Speaker 1: charming as a teenager and they turned him into this
- 33:25Speaker 1: buffoon in adulthood, like he could still be a little
- 33:31Speaker 1: free wheeling kind of you know, I travel on a boat,
- 33:35Speaker 1: I work on a boat.
- 33:36Speaker 2: You know, my life is fluid kind.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Of guy without being a doofis Yeah, I agree. Let's
- 33:42Speaker 1: talk about this final element of this show. Okay, So
- 33:46Speaker 1: while Alice is in nineteen seventy nine, she sees Tessa
- 33:51Speaker 1: get the almanac and she's asking about this entry about
- 33:53Speaker 1: Jacob Junior. Cat and Alice are looking at it, and
- 33:57Speaker 1: Kat's like, wait a minute, that handwriting familiar? Come on,
- 34:01Speaker 1: Like that looks like the handwriting in Tessa's letter. Give
- 34:05Speaker 1: me a break. They run to Elliott's house. They're comparing them,
- 34:08Speaker 1: they're the same. This is when Nick shows up and
- 34:10Speaker 1: they're trying to figure out where Tessa has been. The
- 34:13Speaker 1: only reason I'm going through this is I feel like
- 34:15Speaker 1: we need to talk about the details.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 34:17Speaker 1: What they believed happened is Tessa jumped back to eighteen
- 34:22Speaker 1: eighty two with Griffin, and Tessa stayed for whatever reason,
- 34:28Speaker 1: and they believe that Griffin came back.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Now, they don't go fully into.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Detail here, but what I think they think happened is
- 34:35Speaker 1: Griffin came back with the intent to go back and
- 34:38Speaker 1: get her, and then time passed and he couldn't because
- 34:42Speaker 1: he wasn't able to bring her forward in time. And
- 34:45Speaker 1: Kat says, Tessa has been waiting forty three years for
- 34:47Speaker 1: someone from her timeline to bring her home.
- 34:50Speaker 2: How do they get to forty three years?
- 34:52Speaker 1: Oh, because that's when they left Eliott got it.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Yeah, eighteen eighty two to eighty two to twenty five.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Okay, that's the forty three ers. This is what doesn't
- 35:03Speaker 1: make sense to me. I kind of had my brain
- 35:06Speaker 1: wrapped around. Okay, Tessa and Griffin jump, Griffin comes back,
- 35:13Speaker 1: Griffin tries to jump back, but he's not able to
- 35:16Speaker 1: bring her forward because now he's from the future, which
- 35:20Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, if like if time passes for Griffin,
- 35:26Speaker 1: but he still somehow managed just to jump back to
- 35:28Speaker 1: like eighteen eighty two and that time hasn't passed for
- 35:31Speaker 1: Tessa and now he's from the future and he can't
- 35:33Speaker 1: bring her back. Okay, I kind of understand that. Nevertheless,
- 35:38Speaker 1: Griffin and Tessa are in theory from the same timeline
- 35:44Speaker 1: like they were their normal age in nineteen eighty three
- 35:49Speaker 1: when they left. Kat is also from that timeline, Like,
- 35:56Speaker 1: how is Kat more from that timeline than Griffin is?
- 36:00Speaker 1: Please email me and talk to me like I am
- 36:02Speaker 1: five years old. I do not understand. That's why I
- 36:05Speaker 1: don't understand how Cat would be able to bring her back.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Agree.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Yeah, if somebody is on the pulse here and can
- 36:14Speaker 1: make it make sense, please email us. Yeah, how can
- 36:17Speaker 1: Cat bring her back but Griffin can't. It's some weird
- 36:21Speaker 1: time travel loophole that I do not understand. Me and
- 36:25Speaker 1: neither Yeah, I don't understand it. I'm sorry. I tried,
- 36:30Speaker 1: but I don't. Oh, we had to talk about one
- 36:32Speaker 1: more thing go ahead the end of the episode, but Wars,
- 36:37Speaker 1: we see Dell's out on Stormy. I was like the
- 36:40Speaker 1: freaking horse again. She sees someone who she thinks looks
- 36:46Speaker 1: like Colton walking by the Big Boulder onto the path
- 36:50Speaker 1: towards the pond, and then she tries to get Stormy
- 36:53Speaker 1: to go down that path. And we all know from
- 36:55Speaker 1: the last episode that Stormy is very reluctant, and we
- 36:58Speaker 1: don't know why Dell was giving pull that bus over
- 37:02Speaker 1: energy here. I'm like, get off the horse and run
- 37:05Speaker 1: in there, Like, who cares if the horse won't ride
- 37:08Speaker 1: in there?
- 37:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't be that fass in front of you.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 37:11Speaker 1: The person was walking slowly, so Stormy bucks Dell off
- 37:16Speaker 1: the horse, and the end of the episode ends with
- 37:20Speaker 1: Dell laying there on the ground.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Is she good? No?
- 37:25Speaker 3: No?
- 37:26Speaker 1: Semi conscious. When they were showing that shot of the
- 37:29Speaker 1: leaves overhead, I was like, someone's gonna lean over and
- 37:31Speaker 1: it's gonna be like Sam maybe yeah. Because the way
- 37:36Speaker 1: it's edited is it seems like this is just after
- 37:41Speaker 1: Kat and Nick have jumped. We don't know that that's
- 37:44Speaker 1: the case, but because Dell's right in the same location,
- 37:46Speaker 1: it seems to me like it is.
- 37:48Speaker 2: And then we see someone walking in? Is it Sam
- 37:51Speaker 2: walking in to have followed them to see what they're doing?
- 37:54Speaker 2: It's certainly not Colton. No, Colton is dead. Colton is dead.
- 38:00Speaker 1: So and I was kind of annoyed that Dell had
- 38:03Speaker 1: like a, why would you think it's Colton? Yeah, I
- 38:06Speaker 1: don't know. Like I thought we were okay, Yeah, I
- 38:09Speaker 1: thought we were done seeing Colton everywhere. And to me,
- 38:14Speaker 1: it looked like seventies Colton, Like it was like, oh,
- 38:17Speaker 1: you know, it was like a I mean, it couldn't.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I mean, unless Colton's got the market cornered on the flannel,
- 38:25Speaker 1: you know, wasn't he wearing like a barn jacket? Yeah,
- 38:28Speaker 1: sort of, but I thought it was like flannel pattern whatever,
- 38:33Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I don't know why she thought it
- 38:34Speaker 1: would be him though he's dead. Well, if you're turning
- 38:37Speaker 1: to this episode for more answers than you got while
- 38:40Speaker 1: watching this, I'm sorry, but we're all in the.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Dark hair totally.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Should we go through our I mean, I have new
- 38:49Speaker 1: questions posed by this, but did we get we didn't
- 38:52Speaker 1: get any answers to our ongoing question.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Let me Grayson's deal with the men at the party.
- 38:57Speaker 1: What's going on? There the object. We did answer our
- 39:00Speaker 1: question about what Alice finds in the tunnel. It is
- 39:02Speaker 1: a bullet case thing that was answered. How does Cliff
- 39:04Speaker 1: connect to the events around the explosion?
- 39:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Does Fern know Tessa? She reacted when Kat called her
- 39:10Speaker 1: Tessa Cooper. Who's Fern's child's father. We do know that
- 39:16Speaker 1: Grayson and Fern do not get married because Grayson marry
- 39:19Speaker 1: someone else based on his marriage certificate. What's the deal
- 39:22Speaker 1: with the mural at Lingermore? Will the pond ever take
- 39:26Speaker 1: Elliott again? All of these remain unanswered. Tessa's bracelet, what's
- 39:31Speaker 1: going on there? We do not know who is the
- 39:34Speaker 1: person torn out of the photo with Tessa.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Who are the Augustine boys.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Trying to get rid of Tessa's Alice in Wonderland quotes
- 39:40Speaker 1: the torn pages and Alice's Alice in Wonderland. We did
- 39:43Speaker 1: find out who Spike's cats during so many questions, so
- 39:47Speaker 1: many questions, so many and I want to hear the
- 39:49Speaker 1: sherrys so email us at Hello at Girls Gone Hallmark
- 39:52Speaker 1: dot Com. Yeah, a couple of new questions raised by
- 39:55Speaker 1: this episode. Who did Grayson mary if not Fern? Fern
- 39:58Speaker 1: believes that Grayson's not the one run in this operation.
- 40:01Speaker 1: I think she's wrong. But what's the deal there? What
- 40:05Speaker 1: happened to Dallas in nineteen seventy nine? Pregnancy is for
- 40:08Speaker 1: a time traveler? I think is a question that we
- 40:11Speaker 1: haven't fully answered. I think the answer is no. She
- 40:14Speaker 1: just has all this knowledge of the time travelers. Why
- 40:16Speaker 1: wouldn't she be a time traveler? Though she's a landry
- 40:20Speaker 1: I know, but I think she wanted to be and
- 40:22Speaker 1: it never worked for her. Oh okay, all right, guys,
- 40:24Speaker 1: I'm exhausted. Please send us your emails let us know
