- 0:47you're listening to the Sports Shock Show, I am the Sport Shock Wayne Gandy.
- 0:50Good morning to you out there listening. Man. Glad to be here
- 0:54with you, uh, with my boys in toe bit, Kenny the funny
- 0:57man himself, command you Greg the building. We are marching halfway through this
- 1:03month of June, running into the US Open on this weekend. Game four
- 1:11NBA Finals will happen tomorrow night after once again a great display of team basketball.
- 1:21I know it's a crazy concept. How about all eight ten players participate?
- 1:30I know it is one of those things that blows your mind in this
- 1:36so me first sports world, really just society where everything is supposed to be
- 1:42on one person. The Boston Celtics have decided to invite the whole team to
- 1:48win this series three to zero. Dallas just frustrated. As you saw Luka
- 1:52Duncic get this qualified. Fouled out last night with about five minutes left to
- 1:57go in the game, and you could just see, no matter where they
- 2:01go, the way that the Celtics have been locked in really a decision.
- 2:07You can see in their face that this is the team and this is the
- 2:12year, and there's really nothing else you can do about it. And that's
- 2:15really what it looks like on the MAVs face, like we keep coming at
- 2:20you, but it doesn't seem to work. You don't seem to falter.
- 2:24MAVs started out hot last night. Kyrie Irving steaming in that first half really
- 2:30carried the team the whole game. When you look at it, Luca doing
- 2:35what he could, some of the others got You saw a couple Alley You
- 2:38plays last night. Finally, but Jason Tatum, Jaylen Brown, al Halford,
- 2:44Derek White, and they just keep coming at it. Drew Holiday just
- 2:50anyone at any point contributes. When their opportunity comes to contribute, they contribute.
- 2:57And now they're up three to zero is their life. Yes, because
- 3:02game four is Friday night, it is in Dallas. Do you see this
- 3:07going any further than game five? No? You really feel like even if
- 3:13they, you know, for pride's sake, can do something Friday night come
- 3:17Monday, which is is upsetting two fathers out there. I know you saw
- 3:22it. They always want to hold of game on Mother's Day. Father's Day
- 3:28come around. You just skip over. You skipped over a Sunday Matten Day
- 3:31game where you could possibly if necessary, Remember this ain't even in the books
- 3:40for us to even have an opportunity for Father's Day game. The maths have
- 3:45to win a game, which would be Tomorrow night. But if that would
- 3:50happen, the disrespect that you would skip over Father's Day Sunday and bring me
- 4:00a game on Monday night? Yes, Dad, stand up. Storm the
- 4:10local brewsters, dairy queen. Just go storm it right now and take all
- 4:15the ice cream. Don't go to the Capitol coase you get arrested, have
- 4:16some kind of federal crime on your record. Just go down to the local
- 4:19brewsters hogging dolls and demand a triple scoop now right now, just demand.
- 4:27I know they're probably not even open. Just stand there and bang on the
- 4:30demand you a triple scoop. Take your frustration out on that ice cream server
- 4:39right now, three scoops. The hell with high blood pressure and lactose in
- 4:46tolerance go full in the disrespect of father's agents. At some point, command
- 4:54you, Greg, big Kenny. It has the stop. It has it
- 5:00has. What is Monday? Monday? It says Monday. It's takes Sunday
- 5:03as fathers, we can't get a game. It's taking a turn sports job.
- 5:06It ain't talking about this a game. The Sunday Fathersday game needs to
- 5:11be at three thirty so the dad can really watch and enjoy the game and
- 5:17still have some good time to go to sleep, still have good sleep time,
- 5:21and so he can go to work. And I'll have it late because
- 5:24then he'll be in the fourth quarter sleep fall, fall asleep and missed the
- 5:29game. But do you see the disrespect. It's changing, though, sir,
- 5:34it's changing. I haven't seen any We might not have an NBA Championship
- 5:40game on Father's Day, but they have released a report that says Chick fil
- 5:44A is feeding all fathers free on Sunday, so we can go there.
- 5:49Oh I didn't see that commercial advertising. It's not a commercial. They just
- 5:53put it out on the internet. And if you think about it, I
- 5:56was like, that's gonna be breaking in there there, and that's what I
- 6:00thought about. They didn't even open them. How are we gonna get free
- 6:02food on Sunday? That's fake new, that's fake new, fake news.
- 6:05And see. But then you said storm the Brewsters, and I thought,
- 6:10might as well go the Chicken fil A. I'm saying, I know they
- 6:13closed, but if we storm in Brewsters, I'm not really gonna surpass the
- 6:16lactose intolerance part. I'm just ing for you that maybe not live in the
- 6:21side. I don't know where Bruces is. Out of Bruces is an ice
- 6:25cream gourmet, delicious, great delicious. It is probably my favorite out of
- 6:30the selections that you can have. Brewsters is my favorite. It's hogging dogs,
- 6:34it's basking robins still around, right. And they merged with the donuts.
- 6:40Yeah, and that's kind of when they fell off a little bit.
- 6:43They did, did they? They? They they got with the donut people
- 6:46and now they're doing too much. I think Brewsters is built as handmade,
- 6:49Okay, handmaid. Yes, it's a good mixture of firm and salt.
- 6:54Yeah, sir, it's not as rigid as basking Robbins, but it's not
- 7:00soft serve like when you go to m donald So just want to you know,
- 7:04because some things are regional. You be saying Brewsters and people out west,
- 7:09like, have no clue what you're saying. But I just saw that,
- 7:13like, Okay, the game Friday and then they skipped the Monday.
- 7:16Father's just getting no respect. You should get the big piece of chicken.
- 7:20Top twenty top, twenty holidays. Guess where Father's Day lands? Eighteen close?
- 7:30That was my guess. Okay, we're twenty yeah, twenty really all
- 7:35right about them arbor days before Father'sesday, Auburn r Berber Arbor, the tree
- 7:42the day day before us, Halloween before us. Really, where's the mothers?
- 7:50I think they second too, Yeah, Chris christ Christmas? Yeah,
- 7:56and the dads at twenty twenty. I just said eighteen because I would imagine
- 8:01they wouldn't have put us at the bottom. We got the President's Day.
- 8:05No, No, because they got the sales, That's what I'm saying.
- 8:09That's what I'm saying. Well, you got Father's Day sales though, Yeah,
- 8:16but maybe they might push those to Monday and they forget. I'm telling
- 8:18you that is that is number twenty. Now think of all the how I
- 8:24don't even know. I don't even know twenty holidays. Well, you got
- 8:28fourth of July, okay, Labor Day, two, Memorial Day, Halloween,
- 8:35for Thanksgiving, Christmas six, Valentine's seven, sat Pati eight, President's
- 8:46daylong in Digitous Day, people, Columbus Day, Columbus Day. Okay,
- 9:03So we had what eleven eleven twelve, that is New Years considered a holiday
- 9:09holiday. Let's throw it in there. I mean it is come ons.
- 9:15Okay, that's twelve. Arbor Day came in and I didn't even know that.
- 9:24Yeah, Arbor Day comes in I think at thirteen. So what I'm
- 9:26saying, I didn't even know that was classified as a day. So that
- 9:28might be where it's starting to get exact money exactly. Arbor Day is number
- 9:33thirteen, and then we seven after that. So you got to come up
- 9:37with six holidays that you m Okay, is it though, I'm saying,
- 9:43is it? We Let's put it on there. Let's put it on there.
- 9:46So that's thirteen. M h. You threw it with the Auburs day,
- 9:52because I have that what y'all doing to the fathers? Like, like,
- 9:56what is our contribute? Yeah? But now let her know I be
- 10:01heard in the house in the middle of the night. You want me to
- 10:03get up and go die about it? You see what I'm saying. But
- 10:07I got to wait till twentieth to celeb twenty We got to figure out what
- 10:09the other five days are between day and Father Day. I don't know.
- 10:16I have no idea whatdays are That's I'd said, Labor Day, Yes you
- 10:22did, Okay, what's in June Day? Might be one Veterans Day?
- 10:28Well okay, okay, what's what's this one Father's Day? And it has
- 10:33to be something else this day? But maybe you're just here as a holiday.
- 10:37I mean, so Father been around since the beginning of the time,
- 10:41June teenth's been around since about twenty twenty two, and we still come after
- 10:48them. Come on, man, stop doing that other day. But we
- 10:52got a great show for you today. As I spoke the NBA Finals,
- 10:58the great Jerry West has passed the way at eighty six years of age.
- 11:03No Aaron Rodgers at Jets Camp. Uh. The NFL fan base is upset
- 11:09with the pricing at Direct TV. So we'll talk about that as well,
- 11:16Tom Terrific into the Patriots Hall of Fame. Uh that and much more on
- 11:20this edition of the Sports Jock Show. We'll be back right after this.
- 11:24You're coming with that half box, not just the small time be behind the
- 11:33Greek mine? How much longer will your Pigmond? And I'm gonna tell y'all,

- 14:33It's taken it to a completely different level this year, where we highlight an
- 14:37athlete that has taken their game to the next level. I'm gonna no one
- 14:56that economies flours. Let me know. Right out the curve, bitless fur
- 15:01fly like a bird, spin on the first and the third sided don't keep
- 15:03them out word keeping my equal on. Know what you heard? Crack up
- 15:07the far and us were heard. Welco back to this one Shock show.
- 15:11I'm this one Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there. In
- 15:16case you missed that opening segment, we kind of ragged on the absence of
- 15:22Father's Day game if there is a game five. But if you missed any
- 15:26of that segment, Greg, was that not played on any of the uh
- 15:31social sites? None of them? Okay, so you're gonna have to go
- 15:35back to Apple Podcast, Dezer, Audible, Amazon, Spotify, iHeartRadio to
- 15:41catch that first segment. When we go off air, command you Greg working
- 15:46a little slow. You know those drugs that are on the experiment. That
- 15:50was the system Sports Shock. They heard us talking about Father's Day and they
- 15:52tried to mute us. You know that's how they do No no drug I
- 15:58was trying to defend drugs, to be true. The whole twelve minute segment
- 16:03went out and he didn't He wasn't alert and it sounded like drugs like some
- 16:08drugs. That sounds like some drugs would. But in that first segment,
- 16:15we talked about, UH, the NBA Finals, the MAVs, now down
- 16:21three to zero to the Celtics. How great the Celtics are just playing as
- 16:23a team. This is a team victory, especially on the defensive end of
- 16:29the court, just not giving the Dallas Mavericks anywhere to consistently go. I
- 16:36want to say, this is a third game and a row in these finals.
- 16:38They've held Dallas under one hundred points, and I everyone keeps talking about
- 16:44that they'll get one for pride, and I can't imagine that in the last
- 16:48three games. They feelings hadn't been in it, you know what I'm saying.
- 16:53They look concerned, they look focused and present, and it's steal not
- 17:00working well. You sometimes can learn that the other team right now is just
- 17:03better, yeah than you. They're playing better. They know. You hope
- 17:10there's a spark, you hope there's a break. When this series started,
- 17:12I spoke more about for Dallas to have a chance, the game had to
- 17:17get late, yeah, down to that last three four minutes, and the
- 17:21game had to be within five six points where Luca or Kyrie could break it
- 17:26open. The games really haven't gotten down to that point. They have,
- 17:30and even last night when it did, Luca fouled out. So they kind
- 17:34of got what they wanted, but now Luca's out and Kyrie is your only
- 17:40option and it just is not To excuse me, it's just not enough to
- 17:45carry them pass when everybody on the team right last night game started eight thirty
- 17:51correct, about eight forty two, my best friend texts me Dallas should run
- 17:57away with this one tonight and I was just like, man, should they?
- 18:02You know, I'm not We've seen this before. We've seen this come
- 18:06out hot and start like we're gonna do something, and then that team basketball
- 18:11is just unbeatable. Well, word is that you would think that, Okay,
- 18:15Dallas hadn't played a home game in a week, and the fans would
- 18:18be excited, they would have the energy. At the same time, the
- 18:23Celtics have not lost a road game in the playoffs, so it's like it's
- 18:30not a it's not a big deal dealing with, you know, the fact
- 18:33that we're on the road. H One thing. Speaking on the road here
- 18:38locally, we had a bus hijacking here in Atlanta. I'm quite sure if
- 18:45you've been paying attention to the news anywhere in the country two days ago bus
- 18:49hijacking are are we really are people trying to transfer television to real life.
- 19:02Does it not seem like some of the crimes, because bus hijacking is more
- 19:10of something of terror, terror, right, right, Because that's not really
- 19:15like a crime. It's not like you go when when it gets to I
- 19:19got to run to the bus and I'm hijack the bus. That means the
- 19:25crime is over. It's time just to lay down and be arrested. I'm
- 19:30saying, you don't want to go to a heavier crime. Remember I was
- 19:33just getting stealing some gas from the gas station, and then they said he
- 19:40run down hijacked this bus. I've committed a whole another crime across several counties
- 19:51now, And you said it's much differentcause we've all jacked the car, am
- 19:55I right, We've all whether we whether we jack the car or not.
- 20:00Bus bus full of people, people on the bus. The young man ended
- 20:04up killing shooting one of the passengers in the leg, which must have hit
- 20:08that artery in the leg, and the passenger I think was like around fifty
- 20:12six fifty eight years old, passed away. And I just kept thinking because
- 20:18over the last week or so, I've been seeing so many stories that seem
- 20:22like a plot in a TV show or a movie I have seen, and
- 20:30I'm thinking, you know, for my most of my life, people have
- 20:34always talked about the influence that media, television, music can have on the
- 20:44subconscious. Yeah, and for you to start getting into those that's very interesting.
- 20:49Bus hijacking to get away and I'm thinking this wasn't its a scene in
- 20:56something and sports Jack. What made it more like a movie was that he
- 21:00he wasn't the person driving the bus. He was the person that made the
- 21:03driver of the bus flee for an hour or more, hitting cars and having
- 21:10to swerve through traffic, trying to protect people and himself and his passengers.
- 21:14And it's like the movie Speed because the people on the bus weren't allowed to
- 21:18stop. They couldn't stop. There was pressure on them from the terrorist person
- 21:23to keep the bus moving at a certain speed, and this man had to
- 21:27do all of that and it's just so And then the fact that the hijacker
- 21:32was interviewed on the news just two hours before, just very interesting set of
- 21:37circumstances. And that was just the part when I thought, I was thinking,
- 21:40is this television carryover grand theft that so many crimes seem like they're just
- 21:47taking whatever their favorite TV show and thinking I can do that, or I'm
- 21:52gonna use that. I can find a way to get away with it.
- 21:55Yeah, we'll be back with more the Sports Shock Show right after this ut
- 22:03around. I'm too fucking I'm I'll come to joone Boorway or of the Sports
- 22:17Josh Show with Wayne Dandridius combing up next. Never completely ready to adopt a

- 25:26I'm this what shock? Winning? Candy commits Greg Big Kenny in the

- 25:36three zero over the Dallas Mavericks. Game four is tomorrow night heading to Father's
- 25:42Day weekend. Also, the US Open is this weekend as well. NBA
- 25:49lost a great sports lost a great iconic player in Jerry West. And you
- 25:56say iconic whenever you reach the level of the name being spoken. And you
- 26:04never saw him play, that's always you know. You hear about Babe Ruth
- 26:10and and most of us are alive now never even got to see these men
- 26:15in work in their profession. But Jerry West passing away at the ripe old
- 26:21age of eighty six, which is an honor in itself, especially when you
- 26:26talk about an ex athlete. You can get into your mid late eighties,
- 26:30you pulling one off. You actually are winning against the reaper at that point.
- 26:36But Jerry Wes was selected to the Basketball Hall of Fame three different ways,
- 26:42as a player, as an executive, and as part of the nineteen
- 26:48sixty Olympic team. We'll talk more about the Olympics here in a second,
- 26:52but he bridged the gap from Elgin Baylor all the way up to players like
- 26:59Clay Thompson. When you talk about the range, whether he played or drafted
- 27:04or was the president of the team, that's how long he had been around
- 27:11in the nb A. He is the logo. We've had ends conversation a
- 27:18lot over the years of should the NBA switch up I don't see why they
- 27:25should. If what your selling branded is working, I don't see what I
- 27:34need to change everything about. You know, it's like mister Clean is mister
- 27:40clean, yeah, and they changed They changed mister Clean. He didn't he
- 27:48come back with an ear ring or something like. They changed him. He
- 27:52had one look and then they made mister Clean a little more beefcake. That
- 27:57was one of the complaints that people have muscular. Yeah, they made him
- 28:00muscular and a little darker and gave him an earring to make it more attractive.
- 28:06I guess to who they considered the people using the product in the home,
- 28:11So all earring dark skinned man to just pop up in your kitchen when
- 28:18you moping. But it happens, we've all done it right. I think
- 28:22that sometimes marketing is convinced by the just insurmountable numbers of young people that if
- 28:32it doesn't resonate with us, it's not relevant, and they'll go and remove
- 28:38time honored, traditional, all kinds of standard inserted things because ah, the
- 28:45young people ain't getting it. And truth of the matter is, young people
- 28:48never got it. They didn't get it back in the sixties, they didn't
- 28:52get it in the nineties. You know what I'm saying. And then they
- 28:56become older and they're right back where you started. So leave the logo alone.
- 29:02And I think Jerry West was the first NBA Finals MVP in his career,
- 29:08and so the career was much bigger than you imagine. It was just
- 29:12as good as any wise's career at that time. Was Jerry West playing on
- 29:19those championship teams. He won one with the Lakers. They went to the
- 29:22finals nine times. I just couldn't ever really win other than the one time.
- 29:30But Jerry West one of the legends of the games, the first Finals
- 29:34MVP. He sounded like he was around when basketball was invented, you know,
- 29:40he put the peach basket up and just stayed around. Well remember,
- 29:44just like with the Super Bowl, they had AFC and NFC championships, So
- 29:51before sixty six there was no Super Bowl. Football was around, but the
- 29:56leagues hadn't come together basically to create NFL. So I'm quite sure it's something
- 30:03like that for basketball as well. Dad. And this came from from Jared.
- 30:08Jerry West is he won the first Finals MVP and as of now,
- 30:11the only Finals MVP on the losing team. Okay, they switched it around.
- 30:18That's interesting. That's a good notation right there, because there's so many
- 30:22games you watch and the best player in that game was a lot of times
- 30:26it is on the losing team, and then that effort gets erased because they
- 30:33lost. So it makes it seem like and maybe they can one day change
- 30:37that. Almost well, it seemed like it would have been close, and
- 30:41I think it was twenty fifteen with the Cavs and Warriors and Kevin Love is
- 30:48hurt, Kyrie was hurt. So Lebron averaged like thirty eight, ten and
- 30:52nine, but they still lost the series. And I think he later I
- 30:57think he won an sb or thing for like the best Championship performance even though
- 31:02they lost the series. Yeah, so Jerry West laid to rest and overachiever
- 31:07on the basketball court. Overachiever logging eighty six years. That's a long time.
- 31:15Don't fool yourself. It's a long time. That's a that's a good
- 31:18run at it, that's a that's an excellent run at it. That is
- 31:22an excellent run at it. I mean because my mother's about turn eighty one,
- 31:26and that's like you need like five extra more years to catch up.
- 31:32And I'm saying my mom would be is she at the age? Now we'll
- 31:34carry this purse for me, baby. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 31:37I don't feel like touching stuff, so come with me to the store.
- 31:41And in a small two month period, we lost Jerry West at eighty
- 31:45six, OJ at seventy six, and Bill Walton has seventy one. Oh
- 31:52it down, young man. You know so three big name ta nons iconic
- 32:00figures in sports and and and when I say that, as far as in
- 32:04sports, I'm talking about OJ the football player. Yes, yes, I
- 32:08separated too. People can't as the football player before the whole commercial being in
- 32:17those movies the seventies, o J running a football was as good as it
- 32:24gets. You got to see it. Go back and just google OJ football,
- 32:29Google OJA. And he he played the airline what was the airplane movies
- 32:35or whatever those movies rent a car, naked gun and all that. Now
- 32:38I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the guy and a helmet.
- 32:43It was as good as it gets for the buffalo. And he was from
- 32:47California, which probably why he ran so fast because he was trying to get
- 32:51somewhere warm. Man, if it's caed touchdown and they're running the locker room
- 32:53and warm up. But it was I actually became more familiar with OJ as
- 33:00an actor and a pitchman first, then got to see his football footage and
- 33:06at first didn't really believe this could be the same dude. This can't be
- 33:10the funny guy from those airplane movies and juice. He was properly named.
- 33:19Dan Hurley, Yukon coach last week turned down the Lakers job. I just
- 33:24figured that he got there, went in for the interview and a lot of
- 33:30times, just like we've seen throughout the careers of people like Bobby Knight,
- 33:37Mike Kizhsky, there's something that if you stay in one level of the game
- 33:43too long, the way that level works is now imprinted on how you see
- 33:52life. Yes, yes, so if you're in, that's why you don't
- 33:59see a lot of back and forth, or you see just one time a
- 34:04guy will try it and then he leaves it. Steve Spurrier tried to go
- 34:07to Washington. He thought it could translate, but he didn't realize when you
- 34:12get to Washington, you can't rotate quarterbacks. This is not Florida. You
- 34:15can't have well, Big Kenny go get your That's not how the pros work,
- 34:22and it's it's simple. It's just as you want to make it more
- 34:24complicated. But it's just that kind of mindset. So I read this story
- 34:30about Danny Hurley at UCON. He's won back to back championships. He's fifty
- 34:36two now. He's been on the college level as far as I know,
- 34:39his whole time coaching. His brother is a college coach. His dad was
- 34:44like a great high school coach. That's their level which will allow them control.
- 34:51You go to the pros and you start dealing with pro sports. Is
- 34:57negotiation longer? Really tell a player? You convince a player? Yeah.
- 35:07In college, I tell you I want twenty rebounds, Come at you,
- 35:10greg Or. It's gonna be some consequences tomorrow. Matter of fact, it
- 35:15might start right after the game if I don't get my twenty rebounds and you
- 35:20be out there getting them rebounds. In the pros, it's more, Hey,
- 35:24command, let me talk to you. It might be a good ideas.
- 35:30I really think you got twenty reboundsing you man, I think you got
- 35:34it. Man, Hey, I understand if you don't, but I think
- 35:37you should really really rest up and want to go out and get those rebounds.
- 35:42It's like being a parent, like at home that go to bed at
- 35:45nine, mean something, be quiet. But you out in the mall and
- 35:50to some young people you go be quiet. Shut up, old man.
- 35:52Okay, I'm gonna go over this way to the food court. I mean,
- 35:57it becomes we see ourselves differently. It's not about the coach, it's
- 36:02not about the process. It's the same game, but they see themselves differently.
- 36:07And now you with truth, negotiation, colleges control, and when you
- 36:13go to the Lakers, when you go to places like Dallas, you're kind
- 36:16of just coaching more than you are the coach. The way they have it
- 36:22structured, you're just coaching. Rob Polanski, what his name, Polluta Palinka,
- 36:32Jenny Buss, the powers that be, they are the coach. Same
- 36:36thing down in Dallas, Jerry Jones. You're just coaching. And they really
- 36:42treat those jobs that way. And that's why you've seen them both those teams
- 36:45iconic team, two most popular teams in sports. When you're about the Lakers
- 36:51and the Cowboys, the one thing they have in coming is that have y'all
- 36:53ever noticed they hire a lot of assistant coaches unproven coaches, coaches that they
- 37:00can puppet master. Yeah, the Lakers. I was trying to think,
- 37:05who have they ever had that came in with just power? Phil Jackson was
- 37:08I was about to say Phil rod was an assistant that they hired. That
- 37:14they hired he didn't have a proven track record. Well, that's like at
- 37:19the time, it was just because of like numbers, like Okay, you
- 37:22had the head coach and then one assistant. You didn't have twelve assistants like
- 37:29they do now. So it was just by it. Well, it's that
- 37:31we got the next twelve. Grab on the other side of the break more

- 40:52you out there and listening, Land glad to be here with you. USA
- 40:57Basketball comes out with a lie. Yeah, I'm gonna say comand you Greg.
- 41:05They cite inexperience for while Caitlyn Clark's been omitted from the Olympics. First
- 41:13of all, for you all out there, so you know, you don't
- 41:17have to be in the WNBA to be on the Olympics team. You don't
- 41:24have to be in the NBA to be on the Olympic team. Until the
- 41:31Dream Team of ninety two came by, the Olympic team was all amateur athletes.
- 41:39Same for women's basketball. The WNBA started in ninety seven. Some young
- 41:49ladies were from college. It was a mixture of college and it was a
- 41:52mixture of some of the young ladies who have gone overseas. So when you
- 41:58try to say that this young lady was it because of anexperience, how would
- 42:01you say that when Cheryl Miller for his Olympics right out of college. She
- 42:08went to Olympics, won goal, and so many others. Teresa Edwards do
- 42:14just go down the line. In fact, when the Dream Team first started,
- 42:19they used to keep one spot for the best college player. So we're
- 42:25big Kenny comand you great, please enlighten me how the USA Basketball Committee decided
- 42:34to use this as the tagline lack of experience. Yes, well, I
- 42:42think we had spoken on it earlier, and at first they were saying that
- 42:45the lack of experience would prevent her from getting a lot of playing time,
- 42:50which would upset her fans, which sounds like if you in court, you're
- 42:55going to jail. Bru you know what I'm saying Like that don't sound like
- 42:59even your lawyer would be like, I'm not I'm dropping you as a client
- 43:01because that don't sound like a good defense. We're going to lose. So
- 43:05I don't understand you and the disingenuineness of not coming out with one solid reason.
- 43:13You got a couple of reasons. It could be this, it could
- 43:15be that, but you know what it really is. Come on, man,
- 43:19y'all you dropped the ball. And I think that it would upset the
- 43:24whole pushing the sport forward thing if they reveal the real reason why. Because
- 43:30she wasn't welcomed by her peers in that group, she wasn't They weren't excited
- 43:39about her coming in and possibly taking the limelight, which some of them may
- 43:45see as their last shot at this and here she come. Imagine. Well,
- 43:51I think the I think the inexperienced part comes from the like her being
- 43:57in the program. As far as the Team USA program, she wasn't in
- 44:02their training camp which was during the final four, so of course she couldn't
- 44:07be there because she was playing in the final four. And I think part
- 44:12of it is also it may be some animosity from other the other players,
- 44:17similar to what we found out they did with Isaiah Thomas. Well remember exactly
- 44:25exactly, I mean, I think it was. It came from the way
- 44:32it looked, is like Team us A really hings this making that dream team
- 44:37based on if Michael Jordan would be there, And it was really just him
- 44:43that said he didn't want Isaiah Thomas. If y'all picked him, I'm not
- 44:45playing. And so it's like they chose Jordan over Isaiah. No, they
- 44:52kept Isaiah off. Came It wasn't the yes, it wasn't either or if
- 45:02I'll play, but long as Isaiah is not on the team. Right and
- 45:07if if they if they if they brought in Isaiah, then Jordan wouldn't play.
- 45:12Yeah, but no, no, no, When you first pitched it.
- 45:14It sounded like you were saying they was down to two people. Oh
- 45:16no, no, not like no, not like that. No, no,
- 45:19it was Michael Jordan's just like I'm saying, on this team. I
- 45:22believe that some of it is these young ladies see that there's a star that
- 45:27can overshine any of them. Well, I think, But I think in
- 45:30this case, what makes a little different to me is they would look at
- 45:35her as being there, as getting a spot that she didn't actually earn.
- 45:39She was playing basketball, she was hooping the whole time they practiced. They
- 45:44don't. They don't earn it. They send summer league players. They sent
- 45:52what what's my man named Austin for the Lakers. Reeves are reeds and all
- 45:58those guys went for the son games to qualify the basketball and now they're getting
- 46:04replaced by Lebron. I think in the with the women's program, it might.
- 46:10I think it's a different. It's different than that. Diana to ARROSSI
- 46:15is this or six Olympics and years I do the math, that's twenty four
- 46:21years or even if she was first year available, that's twenty one years of
- 46:24her. So she was twenty one when she went to the first Olympics.
- 46:29That's two thousand and four. Okay, so she would have been Caitlin Clark's
- 46:32twenty three and now Diana Tarossi's what forty three? Forty two? Yes,
- 46:39and you Finna played the world. So where's this? Where is this adding
- 46:45up hate, envy, jealousy. I think that they think that she didn't
- 46:50she didn't earn it, she didn't earn a spot. Listen, and the
- 46:53most the most unfortunate part about this is that and she hadn't been part of
- 46:59the program too. The US Olympic women's basketball program allowed this to fly.
- 47:06That's the most. Now whoever felt like they felt human humans are fallible but
- 47:13for the system that they play in and go, okay, we'll keep the
- 47:16best one, the most, the brightest new star, the one that's packing
- 47:22out arenas and causing your team to go to a bigger venue when she comes
- 47:25play you, we're not gonna have her because we don't want your feelings.
- 47:30The guys that make the Pro Bowls in the NFL. When the Pro Bowl
- 47:34used to be after the Super Bowl, they could make the game. You
- 47:38move the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl. They can't make the game.
- 47:42They still get to distinguish that they made the Pro Bowl even though they're in
- 47:45the Super Bowl. So these rules that they're making up is a bunch of
- 47:51lies. And most likely you had the majority of that team that's going over
- 47:58hating on this young ass. I said, I'm not just defending her.
- 48:01There's three or four of those rookies. I would have sent. Yeah,
- 48:06hour the old in with the new, and you know why this is such
- 48:10a mess. We'll be back with Morning It Sports Shock Show right after this.

- 50:37b hold on did you say on when you just see what makes you this
- 51:05sword shock show? I'm the sword Shock Wing cans he. Good morning to
- 51:08you. The WNBA in their first month highest earned television ratings in history.
- 51:19Over the last month, this first month of the season, it has been
- 51:23more watches of the WNBA games than any time in their what twenty seven years
- 51:31now history? Now do they break it down even further by which teams are
- 51:37getting watched the most. I'm quite sure it had something to do with Indiana
- 51:42whoever they're playing there. I think, what did we say, like thirty
- 51:46eight of their forty one games? Or are national some kind of national game?
- 51:52So and this the girl they didn't bring tip somebody getting fired? Okay,
- 51:55I'm telling you, somebody in the Olympic to getting fired, they get
- 51:59fired. Okay, if she's supposed to be on the team for marketing purposes
- 52:06to push the game forward, or is it for the talent, I think
- 52:09she's both. She's talented, there's no denying that, and she's definitely pushing
- 52:15the game forward. Ball don't lie. Numbers, don't lie, man,
- 52:20just read the numbers. But okay, so if someone's supposed to be taking
- 52:24off the team for her a lot I've heard a lot of people say like,
- 52:28oh, just take Tarassi off. Why are we just taking Diana Tarassi
- 52:31off the team. We're taking Diana Tarassi off. We're taking Britney Grinder off.
- 52:37Bam, We're putting Angel Rees on, We're putting Caitlyn Clark on.
- 52:40I'm gonna go even deeper. I'm gonna take the Cameron Brink girl woman,
- 52:45excuse me from the sparks. I'm gonna get rid of one of those other
- 52:49players. I don't know. Other day I told you there was like three
- 52:52or four girls on the team. I'm in trying to fix your problem.
- 52:57You say your biggest problem is that you don't make any money. Your biggest
- 53:01problem is you got all these years you've been flying commercial and you want to
- 53:05fly private. Well, for that to happen, we need advertisers. And
- 53:13this group of women has brought in a wave of attention and advertisers. They
- 53:17ain't got nothing to do. Every woman in the NBA can make the Olympic
- 53:24team. That's why they're in the WNBA. That's how good they are.
- 53:30But they can't sell no tickets. But they ain't selling no tickets. And
- 53:35I'm about to go to the marketing capital of the world, pav Pavy with
- 53:39the Olympics. And let me say this. Let me say this. How
- 53:44is this young lady, this young lady can leave college and in three weeks
- 53:47be the starting point guard for a w NBA team. She averages like eighteen
- 53:55points a game. I'm fresh from college. You keep talking about the talent
- 54:00level, and then I don't, I don't. I think their their focus
- 54:05is more on the talent level, like the the twelve that's there, Like
- 54:10Diane to ROSSI is still one of the twelve best players in the world,
- 54:14even in the world they gatekeeping. And then this is this is me.
- 54:19This is me because I am one hundred percent married to the dollar. When
- 54:23it comes to business, that's all it's about. It ain't got nothing.
- 54:28So this is the most This draft class of w n B A went to
- 54:32the podium in couture. They were the most high fashion looking draft class ever.
- 54:40I'm talking about hot Mademoiselle Vogue magazine model looks in Paris for the summer.
- 54:51Everybody flies private come fall. But no, we want to keep Britney
- 54:55grinding them on the team. And that's no dis marriage to her talent.
- 55:00But she don't sell no tickets. She was the hottest thing in the w
- 55:05NBA and didn't sell nay one ticket. And that's all I'm saying. Everybody
- 55:10crying about who you want to see innate talent, none of that has matched
- 55:15up to a bottom line profit. And if you don't want to profit,
- 55:21then just go out of business. Quit hampering the NBA and other sports franchises
- 55:28to you right now, you're panhandling, you're begging, You're always begging for
- 55:32more than you've actually produced. Everything you want comes at the expense of somebody
- 55:38else's. You keep saying, well, the Indiana FEVA and Indiana Pacers should
- 55:44be but your bottom line is not the Pacers, but you want the Pacers
- 55:49to share the money with you, I'm giving you a chance to make your
- 55:52own money. We gotta get up before we can start all that others.
- 56:00And if you think that Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reyes and this draft class is
- 56:04not the reason, I'm telling you as a sports enthusiast, those two young
- 56:09ladies not being on the Olympic team has made me go from thinking of watching
- 56:15every game to just catching the highlights. So if I'm feeling that, and
- 56:23I'm an enthusiast, what do you think that millions of people who barely watch
- 56:30that's watching now are thinking you've calmed your fan base. You could have had.
- 56:38You could have had Caitland Clark fans from Slovenia. You could have had
- 56:44Caitland Clark fans from Yugo, Slavia and Belarus. Because the world is watching.
- 56:51Who's that beautiful young woman? Angel? They call her Chicago Barbie.
- 56:54I'm googling now now. I got me a whole Chicago Barbie documentary going on
- 57:00in London. I got me a hole where did these girls come from?
- 57:05Thing going on on Netflix? But we just see it. You tridding out
- 57:09the same stuff from last year. Every year. The fashion shows are new.
- 57:15Sometimes people think it's bizarre fashion. But you can't bring me what you
- 57:19bought me last year. The pencil skirt is dead. We need something different,
- 57:22and business dictates that with the you winning the goal will not be as
- 57:34alluring as those young ladies I announced being on your team. See you're looking,
- 57:38Oh, we come back with the gold. Nobody's going to care.
- 57:42They feel they already feel you can win the goal. That's what they're That's
- 57:45how they're looking at now. All these other opportunities or ratings there. It's
- 57:52not being considered people for their mask. Can people consider dream team to find
- 58:00on least see Magic Johnson throw the ball to Larry Bird. Larry Bird to
- 58:09go with the behind the pass, back pass to Michael Jordan for the dunk.
- 58:15We're gonna really see this together, like in the same jersey. And
- 58:21did they not at Mike House. They're not at Mike House on a Saturday
- 58:23afternoon grilling and hanging out. This is really gonna help this and you saw
- 58:29it. Magic past the ball to Bird Bird, them willing them winning the
- 58:35gold was just a byproduct of the fascinating the fascination that these guys not on
- 58:40a video game, but on an actual court are throwing the ball to each
- 58:46other. And I believe that for the w NBA to not admit that is
- 58:51disingenuously. We'll be back with more than Sports Yo show right after this from
- 58:54the man of the Gang bank. Since I was a little way that got
- 58:58bank change, it's the same old saying bush mush like Saddam Hussein, I
- 59:04cack and hat planning Lee insane to deal with this bulls forday today if I
- 59:08sell some day, well smoke some hate you to throw me your repelicans bank,
- 59:14don't go away. Word of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dandidias coming
- 59:17up next. And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three quarters
- 59:22of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only
- 59:28forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me
- 59:31and my wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever
- 59:35life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 59:37Will you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a
- 59:42kid in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 59:44survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant.
- 59:47Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family security no matter what stage
- 59:52of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether
- 59:54I leave my family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy, whether
- 59:59you're twenty five fifty, whether you earn a little or a lot. All
- 1:00:01you need is the insurance informat to help you build a foundation of security,
- 1:00:06because without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:00:10Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits or bills dot com.

- 1:00:27perfectly imperfect, beating in rhythm to the world you've created. But every
- 1:00:35time you drive after drinking music gets drowned out. Your life sounds pretty great.
- 1:00:43Don't let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving is drunk driving. Don't
- 1:00:46drive buzzed. A message from Knits in the ad Council. My simple solution
- 1:00:52to their problem was remove people from the scene and help them feel safer.
- 1:00:57It responds to attacks against Asian Americans. Maddie Park raised over two hundred and
- 1:01:01fifty thousand dollars to donate cab rights to the Asian community. There is so
- 1:01:06much more work to be done. We really need to come together and tackle

- 1:01:31Wayne yany excuse me while I will this out shore broadcasting live and it led
- 1:01:38her to a jat this this is the sports jock Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:01:45You may began ling up, gig, can you find me down that council
- 1:01:52council pocket. Yet the consol look is it's just a welcome back to this
- 1:02:06What Shock Show. I'm this What Shock waing gaining. Good morning to you.
- 1:02:09If you missed any of that first hour after we go off, you
- 1:02:14can go to Audible, Deezer, Spotify, our iHeartRadio, Amazon, Apple
- 1:02:20Podcasts and hear the replay, especially some of you who might have missed that
- 1:02:23opening segment of the day. Just click on and you'll be able to hear
- 1:02:30the show in its entirety. In that first hour, we talked about the
- 1:02:35great Jerry West passing away Game three last night, MAVs losing again to the
- 1:02:40Celtics. Game four will be on Friday night, the Celtics going for the
- 1:02:47sweep. In that situation, we talked about Team USA citing inexperience, which
- 1:02:57is very funny. Inexperience of why Caitlyn Clark, Angel Reese in the young
- 1:03:05rookie class has no participants. I remember on this team, no player is
- 1:03:10under twenty six years of age. Old basketball team headed over to Pavy.
- 1:03:20Just that's just not something you hear with the NBA. Lebron James was not
- 1:03:25twenty six when he went to his first Olympics. He probably was barely able
- 1:03:30to drink when he went over there, something like that. I think he
- 1:03:34was still nineteen. No, that's what I'm saying. He might have just
- 1:03:37been getting to drink at that. Just big people just assume they's grown,
- 1:03:42you know what I'm saying. Get a little man one, he gotta be
- 1:03:45you gotta be grown. Tom Brady. Number twelve is now officially retired for
- 1:03:51the New England Patriots. Robert Krave has deemed that no one will ever were
- 1:03:59number twelve. Now this is surprised because I hadn't heard anything about this retirement
- 1:04:03ceremony. They did have Jay Z perform come out for this situation. I
- 1:04:10had some legends there and oh you had some other legends and attendance to this
- 1:04:23gala where you could see Tom Brady getting emotional. But as we know,
- 1:04:30consider the greatest Patriot of all time on a short list based on how you
- 1:04:35see football, as the greatest quarterback of all time in a uniform, the
- 1:04:44winning spoke for itself. But getting a jump on the season. Having this
- 1:04:49ceremony, remember Tom is going into the booth. You expected maybe something like
- 1:04:56this to be held. When if he broadcast one of the Patriots game.
- 1:05:00I don't know if that's some kind of bylaw that you can't mix those occasions,
- 1:05:09but I could have sworn I've seen him mix him before. They had
- 1:05:13they had Tony Romo doing Cowboys games all the time. Well, no,
- 1:05:15I'm talking about where you not that you can't call the game. I'm talking
- 1:05:19about where you have some kind of recognition, recognition of the announce half and
- 1:05:27he comes from the booths down to the field and he waves and they retire
- 1:05:30his number and then he goes back up and he goes, well, how
- 1:05:32did you feel about that? Well? I thought it was good at walking
- 1:05:39down there. You can see the emotion on my face. Did you ever
- 1:05:42think we would get here? Tom? No, Tom, I didn't think
- 1:05:45we'd get here. But Tom Brady emotional going into as I said, I
- 1:05:50would just name the Hall of Fame room, Tom Brady Hall of Fame room.
- 1:05:59Had Patriots Stadium, Bill Bell at Bill Belichick Field, at Bill Belichickfield,
- 1:06:04at Robert Craft Stadium, and just be done with it. So we
- 1:06:08had Robert Craft Stadium, Bill Belichick Field, and Tom Brady Hall of Fame.
- 1:06:14Yeah, and just be done with it. That's what it is.
- 1:06:16It's never going to be done again. Have a lot massage. Yeah,
- 1:06:20there'll never be twenty years of dominance of a sport like football. It's one
- 1:06:28of those things you can go ahead on and a lot of money on that.
- 1:06:30That was something that you couldn't just manifest where one team seems like it
- 1:06:39was always on the cuffs, but winning they went ten, eight championships.
- 1:06:45How many times did Tom go Super Rachel? Nine they won sick they lost
- 1:06:53through yeah? Nine? Yeah. The fact that you won six can we
- 1:07:00stop it? One? Six? Why do we have to keep on counting?
- 1:07:02And that's the problem with the sports fan in America is that we could
- 1:07:06say he won six and we still want to right, we still want to
- 1:07:12flesh out, well, how many did he go to? One? Six?
- 1:07:15Is enough, ain't it? They went to the championship maybe like at
- 1:07:19least fourteen times. Yeah, but they like they were playing. They were
- 1:07:24playing for a championship every year. Me and the AFC Championship mean yeah,
- 1:07:30yeah, we ain't mean the trigger though, George, We're sorry about that
- 1:07:35championship and the losses live forever. We were heading to the super He's on
- 1:07:40your way, yes, yeah, but it never made it. Had your
- 1:07:44bag packed and everything, yeah yeah. And then Tom them came and Robert
- 1:07:47Craft was still there, wasn't they Okay? And Belichick was there and he
- 1:07:51you know, they named the field after him eventually and named the stadium,
- 1:07:57uh, rober Craft Stadium. And did I think they're gonna name the Hall
- 1:08:00of Fame? But them was the people that was Greg bringing up that he
- 1:08:06knew he took you. I was trying to mask it by saying they went
- 1:08:12all these other times. I wasn't trying to put out one no Joey Chestnut
- 1:08:18on uh this July fourth, Joey has decided and sponsored by another hot dog
- 1:08:29brand from what I read, a plant based hot dog brand. So not
- 1:08:35only is it not the same sponsor, this is not even meat that he's
- 1:08:41eating, yes, right, but which is if you know he could be
- 1:08:45on move to The doctor has told him, Joey the two decades of swallowing
- 1:08:51everything, We're gonna have to need some plant base. You need some vegetables.
- 1:08:58Joey records and more than just hot dogs. Yeah, he's like the
- 1:09:02number one I don't know in the world, in the world, correct,
- 1:09:05Yeah, that would be his listing. But he is going to do on
- 1:09:10September the second on Netflix a hot dog eating contests against what was his name
- 1:09:18to Carol Kobayashi. Kobayashi Now Kobyashi beat him once, right, Yeah,
- 1:09:24it was probably over the last three of them is when Kobyashi went in the
- 1:09:32hot dog eating contest and then Chestnut beat him, and then it's been Joey
- 1:09:38Chesting. So they've just they've been the last two superstars of competitive eating and
- 1:09:43they're going to put it on. I don't know, I gotta be real.
- 1:09:48I'm not clicking on to see a hot dog eating contest. That for
- 1:09:54the fourth that's one thing. For just some night sitting home that doesn't.
- 1:10:00That's not appealing TV. It's a Labor day that's another especially listen. But
- 1:10:06this is the thing. I know, sports jock, but this is the
- 1:10:10thing. Netflix is fun to put on a competitive eating competition on Labor Day
- 1:10:15weekend. How many competitive TV competitions have you watched on a streaming network?
- 1:10:24None? How many times have they streamed? None? So anybody watched this,
- 1:10:31there's a win. But Netflix, I think even if just the people
- 1:10:34who love and follow Joey Chestnut watch this, they'll consider that a win for
- 1:10:40their brand. And it sounds almost like the live golf thing. The thing
- 1:10:44with Netflix and I and I might be other outlets as well. In their
- 1:10:50rush to try to make some of these stories, they're actually rushing it.
- 1:10:56Yeah, it seemed like a rush. Product is like sooner as they get
- 1:11:00a little hint of something happening, they want to hurry up and make some
- 1:11:03documentary of it. And it comes off that way, right. You ever
- 1:11:09watch something that comes off cheap like the twenty twenty the twenty twenty four NBA
- 1:11:16Championship documentary out tonight on Netflix, like this is just Game four, all
- 1:11:26the drama, all the heartbreak, the winners, the lose and like,
- 1:11:30wait a minute, how do you do a documentary on three games? But
- 1:11:33they will do it and they'll put it out. Speaking of which, I
- 1:11:36saw something. There is a documentary out on OJ on TB produced by TMZ
- 1:11:43and the executive producer Harvey Levin. In his promoting it last night, he
- 1:11:48tells some behind the scenes stories and he says, before OJ went in to
- 1:11:54kill them. Now OJ was found not guilty of murder. To say that,
- 1:12:00is that opening yourself up for life? I mean, because Harvey Levan
- 1:12:02used to be a lawyer, surely he knows that that's slanderers, right.
- 1:12:06Can someone from O Jay's estate sue him for saying that? Commandie, you're
- 1:12:11a resident lawyer. It's uh, it's possible if the estate feels like they
- 1:12:19can get something from that. Well, not that they feel that they can
- 1:12:24win, but you know there may be some of the word You can speculating
- 1:12:30that, Yeah, you can like speculate on that, right, But you
- 1:12:33say before he went in and to say it stated as if it were fact,
- 1:12:40is slanderous and libelous. So I was just surprised that he even did
- 1:12:44something like that, but it seems so rushed everything. He died, and
- 1:12:48next day we got a whole documentary about when he was alive and in his
- 1:12:53most infamous time, and and and it reflects how the stories are reported now
- 1:12:59pure. That's why sometimes on our show we say let it breathe yes,
- 1:13:03because first reports could be are the most damaging reports. They just throw everything
- 1:13:09out there. And by the time we sifted out, we figured two of
- 1:13:13the eight things were actually trying. We figured Chick fil aane even open on
- 1:13:16Sunday. We'll be back more to sports doc show right after this. Well,
- 1:13:20because I got a show for the first class. How I get around
- 1:13:23to worrow? Just missus be with the drama unless you come in with dark
- 1:13:27Ohamas or jailing sound up, because we're about to pour rounds up. Jon't
- 1:13:34Bowl, Wayne Board of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Dantis coming up next.
- 1:13:45Have you noticed bad behavior has become normalized at interscholastic athletic events. Some
- 1:13:50fan seemed angry, They lacks civility towards one another. Some even get aggressive
- 1:13:56and unruly. Time out what is going on? This has to stop.
- 1:14:03Let's not forget. School sports aren't just about winning, and they're definitely not
- 1:14:08an excuse to take your frustrations out on the official or the opponent. They're
- 1:14:13about teaching lessons like perseverance, respect, and empathy so students can learn and
- 1:14:18grow as people, not just as players. We all have a role to
- 1:14:23play in setting a good example for our students and teaching them these important values.

- 1:16:24Captain America Chris Evans is forty three years of age. Mary Kate and
- 1:16:30Ashley o Son are thirty eight years of age. Yeah, it just seems
- 1:16:35like they should be older, but you forget you've been knowing them since they
- 1:16:40were two, So now thirty eight years of age. Tim Allen, what
- 1:16:45was that show called two Time Home Improvement? Home Improvement seventy one years old.
- 1:16:50Did you ever see his other show, Last Man Standing? I didn't.
- 1:16:54I think I watched the episode of it, but not much. It
- 1:16:57was just yeah, he had had some great writing. Sammy Watkins is the
- 1:17:01NFL Receiver thirty one, Sleepy Sam Perkins is sixty three. Courtney Cox is
- 1:17:10sixty years of age. Doogie Howser MD, MD. Yeah, I remember
- 1:17:17who Doogie House is? What it was? His name Fred Neil Patrick.
- 1:17:25Harris Neil Patrick has show How I Met Your Mother is fifty one years old.
- 1:17:31First scene, first thing I ever saw him was in Dougie Howser MD.
- 1:17:36He's fifty one now. And Andy Pettitt of the Yankees fifty two.
- 1:17:42Waye Boggs of the Red Sox sixty six, Mike Homegrom former NFL longtime coach
- 1:17:48seventy six, Nick Sorryanny is forty three, Dusty Baker seventy five, Cooper
- 1:17:57Cup of the Rams is thirty one. Yay Yay, Ice Cube is fifty
- 1:18:02five. Bruce Bowens of the Spurs mainly hit that corner jumper for Tim Duncan
- 1:18:10fifty three. Moving on Up. Marlar Gibbs ninety three years old, Hold
- 1:18:17on Mars, she gonna make two two seven. Why R J. Barrett
- 1:18:25of the Toronto Raptors is twenty four, boy George is sixty three, Ghanna
- 1:18:33is thirty one, and uh, mister President Donald Trump is seventy eight,
- 1:18:43and today's his birthday, which is gonna be huge. It's a strong birthday.
- 1:18:48It's a big day, big day, strong day. It's all across
- 1:18:53America. Strong day. Dude, what do you think of trump birthday party?
- 1:18:59Is like, because I want to go now or I'm saying anytime,
- 1:19:05because because this is the thing. Leopard don't change his spots. He might
- 1:19:09be a little slower, but he's still the same animal. So then now,
- 1:19:14because I don't know, because there is there is, there's a difference.
- 1:19:18And see that's why I don't think I survive a then party because because
- 1:19:24it's just like the Dream Team. I got Rodman, I got o J,
- 1:19:28I got Mike Tyson next to each other at the same table. It
- 1:19:30says something's gonna go wrong. Yeah, because you're saying that his forty fifth
- 1:19:34birthday party, OJ was there. That's what I'm saying. With Rodman and
- 1:19:40Mike Tyson, something's gonna go wrong. And then I get poured into the
- 1:19:44mix. This is not going to be a good night. So what do
- 1:19:46you think would happen? Uh? Now, it would be a little more
- 1:19:50sophisticated, you know, more orchestra band and not some rock band. But
- 1:19:59that room, that room, still that back room. Adult entertainment industry suing
- 1:20:08again over the law requiring pornographic sites to verify users' ages. So basically,
- 1:20:15they don't want to site. They don't want to have to register to be
- 1:20:18eighteen? Is that what they're trying to circonventeen this story? But in that
- 1:20:25what that's reading, They don't. They're trying to get that removed, that
- 1:20:29the user has this right to click age verify their age. Right. Oh,
- 1:20:34they're saying the viewers have to verify their age, right, that's what
- 1:20:39they're Oh yeah, well I'm sure that's what they're asking. If they're not,
- 1:20:45that would begraphy right. Well, the pornography distribution to children, which
- 1:20:54is basically some child endanger right in endangerment, child sexual It has always been
- 1:21:01that way. You can't get into a bar without a sports I'm not you
- 1:21:08can't get in a strip club without being eighteen to not being twenty one,
- 1:21:13and you can't buy a magazine. You can't buy a Playboy unless you team
- 1:21:17at least eighteen. So what's the difference. I don't know, sir.
- 1:21:23I think the difference is today's sensibilities. We really would like to believe that
- 1:21:28kids, because it's the Internet, should be able to click on whatever their
- 1:21:32thumbs lead them to and consume that freely. And that's the only reason I
- 1:21:40see even trying to sell that to someone. Oh come on, man,
- 1:21:44little man to be you don't And I'm not against porn. I'm just saying
- 1:21:48you got I'm not against strip clubs or going into bars. I just think
- 1:21:53that all of that making it be a minimum age requirement is necessary for a
- 1:21:59reason. They put that in there for a reason. And if we remember,
- 1:22:01and that's why I'm using other examples of adult entertainment, whether it be
- 1:22:06magazines or a venue, have always had this rule. You're trying to erase
- 1:22:14the rule as though this has not been the established reality of those type where
- 1:22:19you fall into the same field. Your angle is just video. So I
- 1:22:26don't see how why a governing body would would move that eighteen year old restriction.
- 1:22:31Roy McElroy, one of the best golfers of his generation, has walked

- 1:22:45a divorce. Now he's saying they're going to work it out. The US
- 1:22:49Open is this weekend. I guess in these cases, like a lot of
- 1:22:53things in the media, I don't understand why so many people feel like they
- 1:22:58need to tell you their business, especially when it comes to their relationships.
- 1:23:03To me, it seems that those kind of things is we'll tell you when
- 1:23:08it ended, until then we're together, regardless of what you see. Yeah,
- 1:23:14we'll tell you if it ended. And Rory about was he was.
- 1:23:16He was all in until his accountant came that's what it's gonna break down to.
- 1:23:21And then Ry was like, man, let me call my lady.

- 1:26:51news out of Southern Miss. University of Southern Mississippi cornerback Marcus m. J
- 1:26:59Daniel Junior, who also played at Old Miss, was tragically shot and killed
- 1:27:04in his car this week. He was just twenty one years old. The
- 1:27:11Hattiesburg Department of Police excuse me, Hattesburg Police Departments that the shooting happened Tuesday
- 1:27:16night near Highway forty nine in Mississippi Hattiesburg. Is I mean Big Kenny's old
- 1:27:24stumping grounds down at Southern Miss Big Ken. You had a couple of details
- 1:27:30of this story. Now, where it happened was a complex called Ivy Walk.
- 1:27:36To my knowledge, Ivy Walk is a what they were calling upscale student
- 1:27:43housing development. It's gated to access entry. You have to have a key
- 1:27:48card. It's near a metroplex theater and across the street from an upscale hotel
- 1:27:58where my family stays when we go. So the assertion is that there were
- 1:28:04four gentlemen in hoodies scene running from the scene, and this was from one
- 1:28:10of those on the scene, self proclaim reporting type people. You're outside,
- 1:28:15Hey, you know where I am? You know whose house this is?
- 1:28:18You know whose car this is? Is how the video kind of went,
- 1:28:23and then a lot of what that person said was confirmed later in the news
- 1:28:28reports that the gentleman was found unresponsive in the Ivy Walk community and they have
- 1:28:38said that it's from gunshot wounds. So they have no suspects in custody yet
- 1:28:44and as of my last research, had no motive. Wow. So so
- 1:28:49dude just found dead because and that sounds so, you know, well it
- 1:28:55just happened, what's less than forty eight hours ago. So we do have
- 1:29:01to give especially now in these times where we in these cases we have a
- 1:29:10lot of it. Used to be the athlete just was at school and went
- 1:29:13to school, went to school. In a lot of these cases we find
- 1:29:15out that they have way more involvement and some other things that also draw violence
- 1:29:24around them. When I saw this story, made me check up on Auburn's
- 1:29:29running back Brian Batti. He's improving. He was on a ventilator. Remember
- 1:29:34about this has been what maybe four weeks. He was down in Florida,
- 1:29:41his hometown that Sarasota Bradenton area where him and his brother, his brother.
- 1:29:47Both were shot in the head. The brother passed away at the scene,
- 1:29:51and Brian has been fighting his way back. But the report I read yesterday
- 1:29:57that he was improving. Now what that means, I'm not sure, but
- 1:30:00it seems like maybe he's out of danger of passing away as Brian batt out
- 1:30:08of Auburn. But sad news at USM and so much tragedy we keep this
- 1:30:13is becoming a consistent storyline as well. Football player and being shot the butt
- 1:30:23Brian Batti story is a little more common when you leave go home, But
- 1:30:28we do see that MJ. Daniels, that story somewhere on campus, somewhere
- 1:30:34near to college is also becoming a more familiar storyline as well. And that
- 1:30:41used to kind of be your safe haven as an athlete. If I can
- 1:30:45get back to campus, I'm good. Yeah, that used to be the
- 1:30:48w Well, if I could just get back to the campus, I'm in
- 1:30:53my protective zone. The annual Congressional baseball game over thelized couple of days Big
- 1:31:00Kenny. They stormed the field in Washington, d C. Several up to
- 1:31:06ten arrests were made. This was the baseball game between the Republicans and Democrats.
- 1:31:15The game has been going on since nineteen o nine. Now it wasn't
- 1:31:17I didn't know it was that long. Yeah, Now, wasn't that the
- 1:31:20game where a couple of senators were shot a couple of years ago during this
- 1:31:26baseball game? I think so? Yeah, during the congressional baseball game,
- 1:31:31someone stormed in and there were several senators shot, and I believe the perpetrator
- 1:31:40was taken down at the scene, if I'm correct. But to not have
- 1:31:45more security than that now that people are able to or was it just a
- 1:31:47large group of people? Well, it looks like these people attended the game
- 1:31:53and then went from in the stands to over the walls. So it wasn't
- 1:31:59it looks like they they played that old part where we barre to the kids
- 1:32:02and then as we see people running into the venue of the game. But
- 1:32:10it was a group of climate change protesters, those people that decided to invade
- 1:32:17the feeld. Most of them were arrested in this case. They are with
- 1:32:26the group called Climate Defiance. So now now, now, but I know
- 1:32:35America's very liberal country. But if but if someone just alleged that on their
- 1:32:43way to police station they got roughed up, would you be mad the climate
- 1:32:48people. If one of the climate people happened to get accidentally you know what
- 1:32:53I'm saying, we escort them to the police car. He tripped, cracked
- 1:32:57two ribs, got a concussion, it happened. As long as that's the
- 1:33:00story, that okay, they tripped. However, like you know, it
- 1:33:04just got to be consistent with a trip rather than you know what I'm saying.
- 1:33:08Sometimes people trip and crack a couple of ribs and get right. I
- 1:33:11say, it's like it happened. You just would you be upset because a
- 1:33:16lot of this, in my opinion, just seems like too much about nothing.
- 1:33:21Well, well, there are better ways to make your point. Well,
- 1:33:25I thought the whole thing about you fighting for your calls was to always
- 1:33:30fight for your calls peacefully, because your most time a cause is fighting for
- 1:33:38less damage to something right. But to go and damage or attack, to
- 1:33:45me, put you in the same boat as the people that you're going after,
- 1:33:50doesn't it to me? It seems that way right to me? It
- 1:33:55seems that way. So you're here, and to answer your question, it's
- 1:33:59the first time the Congressional Baseball Game has had anyone. Twenty seventeen was that
- 1:34:06mass shooting, right, this is the first time anyone June fourteenth, twenty
- 1:34:13seventeen, sixty six year old James Hotkinson shot six people at that time,
- 1:34:23So I'm quite sure it was a lot of security. Yeah, And seeing
- 1:34:28some of the footage when they hit the ball out into the outfield, you
- 1:34:31see all those the security people on the field. And so for them,
- 1:34:35these people came knowing that they would have to face legal consequences. And to
- 1:34:41me, I think that doing things knowing you're gonna face legal consequences, you
- 1:34:45should face the stiffest possible penalty. It's premeditated. It's premeditative to you know.
- 1:34:51And I'm thinking, Okay, your protests and your right is to as
- 1:34:56the people drive up to wear your shirts, picket, that is your right.
- 1:35:00That's you're right now. You're breaking the law doing and I just feel
- 1:35:05like this running on the field stuff is dangerous. I think the law.
- 1:35:09I've said this on several times. I think the federal government needs to step
- 1:35:14in. I don't when you run into sporting event type situations, you're inciting
- 1:35:25riot. Yeah, what what was it? It just happened. Guy runs
- 1:35:27onto the field, does a backflip, started running and the guy tased him,
- 1:35:30and now everybody's on some No, that was so inappropriate. You're supposed
- 1:35:34to grab what before I'm supposed to chase him down. If it was that
- 1:35:42one guy, If it was just one guy trying to chase him down,
- 1:35:45I'm okay with that. With the with the taste listen have heated. I
- 1:35:50ain't gonna say it. I ain't gonna say it because people too sensitive.
- 1:35:54That that's the part. People are too sensitive about protecting people who are obviously
- 1:35:59intentionally doing wrong. That's the whole thing that gets me. It's not like
- 1:36:03you don't want to see people be abused by police. I get that part.
- 1:36:06But if I got a gun and I'm shooting at people and then you
- 1:36:11shoot me, and then you say the police be overreacting, I don't know.
- 1:36:16If it's stadium security, they can't say the same thing that they're overreacting.
- 1:36:23Yeah. If the same security uses the taser, then that's I believe
- 1:36:28you should be tased. Yeah. Yeah, So it's got to be that
- 1:36:30if it's not the police, you can't say anything. Well, well,
- 1:36:33and all of that, all of that should be encompassed in the fact that
- 1:36:38on the ticket to till you stay off the field, just a professional game.
- 1:36:43Anything past that, whatever happens to you, you invite, you invited,
- 1:36:45anything that happened. They even know it has to be on the ticket,
- 1:36:49like this is what can happen if you write ignorance of the law is
- 1:36:51no exception. That's what they told me. Yeah, whatever happens to you
- 1:36:56when you run out on that field, that's just I deserve it. You
- 1:36:59you that, that's it. Whatever it is, I'm sorry, paralyzed,
- 1:37:02broke leg, collar bone, broke taze. You invited that. Then if
- 1:37:10I shoot the taze at you and it missed and hit somebody else, they
- 1:37:13get to sue you because it was your actions that caused them to be injured.
- 1:37:16And just like these laws right here to me, these need to be
- 1:37:21mandatory. These people should mandatorily know. Yes that you run out here on
- 1:37:30this baseball game, it's a year sentence or a two year sentence. Federal's
- 1:37:35not none of this is. My lawyer got me off, and we're just
- 1:37:38gonna laugh away because that's how you that most of these groups approached that kind
- 1:37:42of stuff. It'll be some kind of fine and something I can work off
- 1:37:46of my record and now you'll be back with more to the Sports Talk show

- 1:41:08to this war. Shuck shue, this war shuck wing KND Aaron Rodgers.
- 1:41:14Big things was expected last year for Aaron Rodgers and the j E. T.
- 1:41:18S Jets. Jets Jets put Aaron Rodgers a couple of plays into the
- 1:41:24game toward his achilles and missed the entire twenty twenty three season. This offseason,
- 1:41:32he showed up to most of the OTAs as organized team activities, but
- 1:41:38he was a no show at mandatory mini camp over the last on Tuesday,
- 1:41:45which has Robert Salah scratching his head. Fines could total up to about one
- 1:41:50hundred thousand dollars for missing all three days of this mandatory mini camp. Rogers,
- 1:41:58who is forty, will turn forty one during the season. Is this
- 1:42:02his time for Joshua Tree? No, do y'all know? When? Is
- 1:42:09this Joshua Tree retreat for the shrooms? Because maybe that's why he went to
- 1:42:14the OTAs because the mini camp was going to interfere with his trek. I
- 1:42:23don't know. I'm not sure that he said he didn't come because what was
- 1:42:28his quote, He just didn't want to be there or something like that.
- 1:42:30That's just the thing I said, But they haven't said what if the reson
- 1:42:35actual reason was they just knew he wasn't going to be there, and that's
- 1:42:42all I could think that because he had a good attendance for OTAs, which
- 1:42:47for most players, especially veterans, is basically kind of voluntary, right,
- 1:42:55But for many camp he's been a wall. And I just thought, well,
- 1:43:00for you to do one and then missed the other, I was like,
- 1:43:02well, maybe Joshua Tree, And I guess he is. And I
- 1:43:06guess he's in the stage of his career where that isn't his priority, his
- 1:43:13career, his whatever he's seeking at the Joshua Tree and like men are spiritual
- 1:43:17centering, I don't know, but that's what might be getting him into these
- 1:43:21later years and through these years. Yes, at this point, yes,
- 1:43:27so maybe that is as big of a situation for him. You might not
- 1:43:30understand it, right, but he comes back a lot more focused. And
- 1:43:33I'm not excusing it at all because it is a mandatory camp, and you
- 1:43:39would like if he was going to show up to be at the mandatory mini
- 1:43:44camp, which is just the three days and then they take a month off
- 1:43:47and then we will start training camp here in a month in camp, when
- 1:43:54you were there, a veteran doesn't show. Did it poison the chemistry of
- 1:43:59the team. Did you start thinking, well, maybe next year I won't
- 1:44:01come, or did you think that, ah man, this dude should have
- 1:44:04been How does it affect you as a player who does arrive. If I'm
- 1:44:09playing with Aaron Rodgers and I was there and he wasn't, I don't really
- 1:44:13care at this point in his career either he's going to show and prove or
- 1:44:19he's not. But I don't have to question his ability to know what to
- 1:44:23do and be able to do it. So it's not it doesn't have that.
- 1:44:30Typically, guys that get upset, or the same people that are jealous
- 1:44:33of Caitlyn Clark, they're just jealous people. Somebody's getting something more than you,
- 1:44:40or they're getting to pass, or I think I'm on their level,
- 1:44:43so I shouldn't have had to be here. I'm here for I'm here for
- 1:44:46Wayne Gandy. Number seventy two right, whatever you got going on, you
- 1:44:51got going on. This ain't high school or college. We are all independent
- 1:44:56contractors. Yes, so I came here to I part, and hopefully by
- 1:45:00the time July comes around, you ready to do yours. Those guys that
- 1:45:05wants to sit there and have something to say, they're just jealous. They
- 1:45:10don't have the power to do it and keep their job, or they don't
- 1:45:13have the economics to lose one hundred grand just on a win. Right on
- 1:45:18the one. Ghosts for some spiritual but Lamar Jackson didn't show up to a
- 1:45:23bunch of stuff this all season. He closed about a million dollars. But
- 1:45:26hey, I felt like, get my fingernails buffed. That's what's That's what
- 1:45:31they called me. Ljon didn't give me the extension. A lot of that
- 1:45:35just don't be fine, you know what I'm saying. So I got it.
- 1:45:40Yeah one would he get one sixty Lamar Jackson? No, he got
- 1:45:47like two hundred. Oh yeah, you might not show up for another season.
- 1:45:50It might be three seasons before he comes back. And I'm in the
- 1:45:54hold of clapping and ready to go with the backup man. I ain't got
- 1:45:57nothing to do with it. Ljil show up and show up. But I
- 1:46:01don't you know that's That's what I'm saying. Your mindset, those one or
- 1:46:04two guys are just jealous. Okay, there's always even in the league,
- 1:46:10there's still those jealous people that want to be seen. As I always say
- 1:46:15on the show, everything has to be conceded to the quarterback. Me and
- 1:46:18his rules are two different rules. We can quickly get that understand. Like
- 1:46:26we're not even on the same right, We're not. Our whole agenda is
- 1:46:32the society has made it that way, right sports Jack? Why you?
- 1:46:36Why you? Three minutes later? Oh man, I need you to focus
- 1:46:40on you. We're not talking about Aaron right now. Oh I wouldn't even
- 1:46:44go there, right. I barely want to ask the questions for myself while
- 1:46:46you missed that blog. Let's move on. That was my answer. So
- 1:46:57I know I ain't got nothing to do with everyone. They got to through
- 1:47:00it. Aaron, that sounds like something to do that's missing here today,
- 1:47:02would say, Oh man, Airing ain't never none of this stuff, no
- 1:47:11how it works? Do you? And when September comes, that's all I
- 1:47:15want you to do too, do you? Mine is more of I questioned
- 1:47:19things more when like I think you can play through an injury, or you
- 1:47:27show up Friday smelling like alcohol when I know the game Sunday. You know,
- 1:47:32I'm okay with Tuesday morning alcohol smell. I'm not good with Friday afternoon
- 1:47:39you smell like you know. Those are my little quirks on whether we but
- 1:47:43Aaron Rodgers missing a mini camp in June does what? Because I'm only here
- 1:47:49to keep them getting fine boss right, So I know if you I can't
- 1:47:54just give up this hundred thouars. So and if I could, though,
- 1:47:57if I had just two fifty guarantees, yeah, I might be a Joshua
- 1:48:00Tree too. I couldn't have played with you, Sports Jack. You mad
- 1:48:03about Friday morningsman like alcohol. You come in the locker room halftime, I'm
- 1:48:09doing shots. You'd be like, ah right, yeah, we'll be back
- 1:48:12more to Sports Jock Show right after this became my cove in that away Jn't
- 1:48:30Go Away board of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Danpius coming up next.
- 1:48:35And now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe
- 1:48:41that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent
- 1:48:45actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my wife
- 1:48:48were just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance
- 1:48:51was the last thing on my mind. What about you? Will you be
- 1:48:55leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a kid in college
- 1:48:59and bills piling up, I was worried how my family was survive without me.
- 1:49:01That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant. Information gives you
- 1:49:04power, and life insurance gives your family security no matter what stage of life
- 1:49:09you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll leave
- 1:49:12my family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy, whether you're twenty

- 1:50:45It's time put a school board when we put a spin on life and
- 1:50:48sports and how they enter mingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy,
- 1:51:01Get checked up and her rud Ice Cube. I'm on the Crime all the
- 1:51:16welcome back to the show. I'm gonna watch Wayne Candy, Tim members of
- 1:51:19the NC States nineteen eighty three national champ team. Uh, they're assuing the
- 1:51:25n C double A over ni L compensation. Is this the case to be
- 1:51:30one? We shall see. It could send off a lot of fireworks with
- 1:51:34this, uh name image licensing compensation, with some of the things that have
- 1:51:43passed, you could see a lot of older and I think this eighty three
- 1:51:48team is when Jim Valvano and those guys won that title for NC State and
- 1:51:54you always see them show that clip and holding him up and all that.
- 1:51:59So you're gonna se a lot of guys try to retroactively go back and see
- 1:52:03what they can. Why not. All you gotta do is call Ken Nugent
- 1:52:09one call that's all you have. You been injured in the ni L claim?
- 1:52:15Did you not get your proper pay when you were playing college sports?
- 1:52:19Call me now, yeah you got trust me. You got a lot of
- 1:52:23lawyers just sitting there trying to go back and and find all kinds of advertising
- 1:52:29that would have had your n i L money right there for you. So
- 1:52:32basically, the entire probably if it's ten members, then probably the ten members
- 1:52:36that still live. Yeah, the only one I know that they have the
- 1:52:43Yeah, the players listed. The only one I know that that's still alive
- 1:52:46that isn't listed was dere Wittenberg. It was really their best player. Uh
- 1:52:56so yeah, it's they're saying that if they the NCAA has made money off
- 1:53:01of correct Yes, now now so quantifying nothing. It's been how long forty
- 1:53:10one years? Are we going to have to retroactively pay you for all of
- 1:53:14that time? Or are we going to just cut you up? We can
- 1:53:16settle, That's what I'm saying. Are we going to just be like Ezekiel
- 1:53:20what's his name from the movie Friday? It I won't fit that billion dollars,
- 1:53:29but we can sell it right now one hundred dollars US. Cricket is
- 1:53:33making a splash this year in the World Tournament. Did you guys know that
- 1:53:39cricket is the number two sport in the world behind side soccer. Yes,
- 1:53:45I did not know that because it never registered in my mind because some things
- 1:53:49like cricket it falls into almost like a shooting pool, like it doesn't really
- 1:53:58register. It just something that people used to do. It seemed like just
- 1:54:02like a yard game. Mike almost like corn hole doesn't really say sport,
- 1:54:09It just say like a what do you call those? Not a hobby?
- 1:54:12What is it? Easier activity? Yeah, your family. But from what
- 1:54:16I've seen, I know, and that's no knock yet cricket. So people
- 1:54:20that played cricket thankfully yelling at me, but it just doesn't hit like that
- 1:54:26from what I've seen. I don't know if ESPN does it anymore. But
- 1:54:30they had a World Fame one hundred the top one hundred athletes in the world
- 1:54:34based on their salary, how much people search them on Google, and their
- 1:54:41endorsements, and there were like at least eight cricket players listed essentially left there
- 1:54:50were no Major League Baseball players or there was one. I think it was
- 1:54:55Bryce Harper. So yeah, it's a it's a major sport. Like outside
- 1:55:00it's it's like soccer, where like outside of America we learning all kind of
- 1:55:06stuff. Cricket is far more important than American football, and Father's Day ain't
- 1:55:12quite as important as as anything as anything in the world. JJ Redick,
- 1:55:18of from what we're sitting here reading, is going to be interviewed for that
- 1:55:24Lakers job. His name was being thrown around even before Dan Hurley went out
- 1:55:30for an interview JJ Reddick, who has never coached as far as I know
- 1:55:36in the NBA, long time player out of Duke, He's done announcing.
- 1:55:41Announcing jobs in the NBA have been very lucrative for a lot of players and
- 1:55:48coaches to end up back in the league or get their first time being coaches.
- 1:55:55You've seen a lot of people, whether it was Chauncey, Billubs,
- 1:55:59Mark Jack, Steve, Steve Kerr, guys that were announcing get a call
- 1:56:05to see if they wanted to come and run a team and beat a head
- 1:56:10coach who it wouldn't be surprising. I think it's just sometimes, like JJ
- 1:56:14Reddick, you have you've never really but if you haven't been in the locker
- 1:56:17room, you wouldn't know how his mind works right right, you know?
- 1:56:21Sometimes that's the key. He could have been the guy that helping other players
- 1:56:29strategize and teaching them the plays. But if you've never been to if you've
- 1:56:32just been going off of what you saw outwardly, it seems like he hadn't
- 1:56:38been in the coaching brain. He could have been a guy going to the
- 1:56:41assistant coach like man tell him to do this he'll take it better coming from
- 1:56:45you, and it work, and he just developed a reputation. You know
- 1:56:47on JJ asked him about it. Yeah, one of those situations. So
- 1:56:51you never know. I know a lot of people discredit him because maybe his
- 1:57:00television persona hasn't always been I guess pliable to people's palate. And I say
- 1:57:11that in a that sounds politically acceptable enough. I say that that that that
- 1:57:15that's for the Yeah, that's politically acceptable enough. Command you. Greg says
- 1:57:21that Direct TV is being sued by some viewers. Is that correct? The
- 1:57:27viewers want to know they're suing the NFL. The viewers are suing the NFL
- 1:57:31over direct TV. Yes, and the prices right right? What about the
- 1:57:38prices that are affected that they keep going up, that they keep going up,
- 1:57:41and how they handle out of market games is leading to the prices that
- 1:57:47keep going up and they don't like it. But Direct TV sold the package
- 1:57:53to YouTube last year and it's kind of out of their hands now. So
- 1:58:00how would I how did you get back to me? I don't even well,
- 1:58:02I probably you had it before. As slow as the streaming is,
- 1:58:08Yeah, I found two seasons and y'all just now getting it in the court.
- 1:58:14Uh what what was the It was the second part of that, right,
- 1:58:17it was it was the ticket price going up. Uh. You know
- 1:58:24you said about the market game, out of market games. Let's see if
- 1:58:28I can pull it up real quick for what they're actually suing for. Okay,
- 1:58:36so, uh yeah, about the constant price raises and how they handle
- 1:58:43out of market games. And the NFL said that the Sunday ticket is a
- 1:58:45premium level product and it's a class action anti trust case, and they want
- 1:58:56seven million dollars, but under federal rules that will triple two twenty one billion
- 1:59:01dollars twenty one bill billion. They wanted seven billion, right, but just
- 1:59:08because of the rule, I thought you said seven million, and then I
- 1:59:11was wait a minute. They with the and we are in the ocean.
- 1:59:18The truth is he will throw your to the ocean. It's time to wrap
- 1:59:23things up. On the Sports Jut Show with Wayne Gandy, we here de
- 1:59:54sounds an ocean to give to sport shout test a minute to Vin. Would
- 1:59:57like to thank you for tuning in to today's show, any minute, any
- 2:00:00segment. We appreciate you letting us entertain you. If you missed any of
- 2:00:05the show, as we go off, you can go to Apple Podcasts,
- 2:00:10Amazon Podcasts, Spotify, Audible, Deezer, or iHeartRadio and hear the replay
- 2:00:18in its entirety. Now I'm giving you something special for this summer weekend.
- 2:00:26We're throwing two people in the ocean. Just making sure you understand that.
- 2:00:30As we go forward, give you too the lights this weekend. One out
- 2:00:39of Oregon father decided he wanted peace in his house, so he decided to
- 2:00:48spike his daughter's friends smoothies. He even spiked his own daughter smoothie. Four
- 2:01:00twelve year olds just knocked out, said he wanted peace in the house.
- 2:01:05When they had their sleepover, all of them fell asleep. One of them
- 2:01:13didn't really feel the sedative. They must have already been a user, so
- 2:01:23they were able to report and as of this week, the dad was sentenced
- 2:01:30to two years, which is kind of liked. Two years for sedative in
- 2:01:35the twelve year old sleepover. But not to be outdone up in Michigan middle
- 2:01:45school coach had beef with a student and I'm talking about that kind of beef
- 2:01:54like Piggie talk about beef. Found us that in the hallway, snuck up
- 2:02:03on him from behind, wrapped his shirt around his neck and started choking him.
- 2:02:15He passed out. I bet it might be a tempting murther. I
- 2:02:18know, I'm laughing. I don't know what's going on with these two,
- 2:02:24but I must kid must have slept with his daughter. I don't know what
- 2:02:27happened, but he he choked him out with a T shirt at the school
- 2:02:32on tape Michigan Middle School coach, So for that, I gave you a
- 2:02:38two for this weekend, just because he looks like it's gonna be a beautiful
- 2:02:43weekend weatherwise. He in Atlanta, So COMANCHI walked up. Clank. Now,
- 2:02:58if you don't do anything when the show will go off, make sure
- 2:03:00you google that coach choking the dude. It's hilarious. If it's not your
- 2:03:05kid, it's hilarious. And I'm gonna show this to my kids on SO
- 2:03:10y'all better act right. I'm just saying, don't make me come up to
- 2:03:14the school for commands. You, Greg mc kenny from the sports job,
