- 1:25Speaker 3: But what did you expect?
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's a podcast called twenty five.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Whistles twenty wine winel. Hey, welcome.
- 1:33Speaker 1: We have a special whistler today. It is George Burge.
- 1:35Speaker 1: I call him country superstar George Burge.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But Eddie's a hater.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's funny, Eddie a hater.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You can blow the whistles, so we can started.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Okay, here we go.
- 1:43Speaker 2: So I text George this morning and said George is
- 1:46Speaker 2: a superstar.
- 1:46Speaker 1: He's in and out all the time. And I was like,
- 1:48Speaker 1: are you in town today? Said yes, said come up
- 1:50Speaker 1: and do whistles with this because we've got some stuff
- 1:52Speaker 1: to talk about. And so he's here, lives a superstar
- 1:54Speaker 1: a live although, George, some people take shots when you're
- 1:57Speaker 1: not here. When you heard the club of Eddie go
- 1:59Speaker 1: George is not a superstar, how'd you feel? Man?
- 2:02Speaker 2: It honestly empowered me a little bit. You know. They
- 2:04Speaker 2: say you don't know that you've made it until you
- 2:06Speaker 2: have haters.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And it was such a visceral reaction to it. Wasn't
- 2:14Speaker 1: that Eddie had planned or like, I'm really gonna get
- 2:16Speaker 1: a little jab out of my friend George.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Now, I thought you were joking, like when the whole
- 2:20Speaker 4: when you did the whole announcement, I'm like, oh, that's
- 2:22Speaker 4: a funny superstar, That's all I said.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Seems like in his heart that actually hurt a little bit.
- 2:27Speaker 2: He's trying to make it better, but it's getting worse.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Actually, I know George doesn't believe that he's a superstar,
- 2:33Speaker 4: but that's.
- 2:33Speaker 2: Not the point.
- 2:34Speaker 1: The point is that you were so against the idea
- 2:38Speaker 1: of anybody thinking he was. And I feel like George
- 2:41Speaker 1: is on the precipice of being a country superstar.
- 2:44Speaker 2: He already is. He's got one number one. Where's your
- 2:47Speaker 2: other song? Now? I think we are We should be
- 2:51Speaker 2: seven this week at seven this week that's a superstar.
- 2:55Speaker 3: That's awesome. Man, that's awesome, George.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Boy, and you were and you're my boy.
- 2:59Speaker 4: And that's why to the personal yeah, you know what too,
- 3:01Speaker 4: like I've known George for so long, like we we're
- 3:05Speaker 4: not like I don't think George as a superstar.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I don't. And this is all due respect, George.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Oh you Hey, when someone is all due respect, because
- 3:11Speaker 1: whatever's coming next, it ain't good, the band aid.
- 3:14Speaker 4: But when you do, like just become a massive superstar,
- 3:19Speaker 4: I'm still gonna think like, oh, this is me and
- 3:20Speaker 4: George playing playing golf together.
- 3:22Speaker 2: And I want that to be that way forever. But
- 3:24Speaker 2: I still have you want to hear, you want to
- 3:27Speaker 2: hear a little motivation every morning. But also this is
- 3:30Speaker 2: what I would counter that with. At one point Eddie
- 3:32Speaker 2: was like, hey, I don't call George. I feel like
- 3:33Speaker 2: he's busy all the time now that he's like a star.
- 3:35Speaker 2: That's what he said, and I goes. I was like,
- 3:37Speaker 2: I'll FaceTime anytime. We FaceTime immediately, And who was he with? Well,
- 3:40Speaker 2: he was riding with Tyler Hubbard.
- 3:42Speaker 3: Superstar stuff.
- 3:45Speaker 2: That's my point. You're talking on both sides of your mouth.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I like that I needed a little bit of that.
- 3:49Speaker 2: We're back, Eddie, We're good again.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Good Man, yeah good.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I was a little ashamed that he said that, and
- 3:54Speaker 1: you know what, I chose to leave it in.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And I thought you were joking. I was like, that's funny, dude.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You know who loved it. It was my wife.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 1: She was like, tell him Eddie, well we're here today.
- 4:07Speaker 2: No, not George. He's already to push him up and
- 4:11Speaker 2: be like, this is who you are.
- 4:13Speaker 1: George is gonna hang out with us for the next
- 4:14Speaker 1: half hours, so a couple of things. It will be
- 4:18Speaker 1: the last pickaball thing until way later. But my wife
- 4:22Speaker 1: and myself played Eddie and Red like four times and doubles.
- 4:26Speaker 1: We killed him every time, like seven to one, seven
- 4:31Speaker 1: two seven one, Like it wasn't even close.
- 4:35Speaker 2: And who who do you think was was bringing the
- 4:38Speaker 2: Eddie and Read team down?
- 4:39Speaker 4: Like if you had to pick a week link, I mean,
- 4:41Speaker 4: this is if we don't do that, right, but if
- 4:42Speaker 4: you had to taking shots already, I.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Just saw something on your sweatshirt.
- 4:46Speaker 5: There.
- 4:48Speaker 1: He's got no dog in him, he's got all goldfish
- 4:50Speaker 1: because he's last in the league. So my wife and
- 4:52Speaker 1: I read, what are you gonna say, buddy.
- 4:53Speaker 6: I'm just saying I realized I am not as good
- 4:56Speaker 6: in doubles as I am in singles.
- 4:58Speaker 1: But you were like last, next to last and singles
- 5:00Speaker 1: until Edie came along. I know you feel like you're
- 5:02Speaker 1: getting better.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like I've gotten a lot better, but
- 5:04Speaker 6: I'm still like I still struggling doubles a little bit.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I think I could diagnose Reid's doubles right here. Yeah,
- 5:10Speaker 2: he's too polite. He said that he's a monster. Uh,
- 5:15Speaker 2: but he'll be like, oh, that's your shot you got.
- 5:16Speaker 2: He wants to you to feel included when he could
- 5:19Speaker 2: potentially take over the game.
- 5:20Speaker 1: We know so much, so a Read will be like,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I got it, and then if I'm just getting there
- 5:24Speaker 1: behind him, he'll go like, oh, even though I said
- 5:26Speaker 1: I got it, I was gonna let you have it.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So, yeah, he won't slam the ball on you.
- 5:30Speaker 4: And if he accidentally does, he says, oh, I'm sorry,
- 5:33Speaker 4: I didn't mean the same I had.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Reading the body like eleven.
- 5:36Speaker 6: I came back with it though.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, So I would say that that's probably Read's overall
- 5:42Speaker 1: problem in athletics is that he's way too nice.
- 5:45Speaker 5: Nice.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We actually talked about this. It'll be on a Bobby
- 5:47Speaker 1: cast tomorrow. My wife and I read. We're talking about Read.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But anyway, we whooped it.
- 5:50Speaker 1: We killed him. But at some point, one point George.
- 5:52Speaker 1: My favorite moment of the night. My wife's a great athlete,
- 5:55Speaker 1: but she doesn't play pickleble hardly ever. But she's a
- 5:56Speaker 1: great athlete, so she can move well.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Read.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's a good shot back over. I hit an excellent
- 6:03Speaker 1: winner and she goes good shot and I'm like, oh,
- 6:04Speaker 1: my wife's compident.
- 6:05Speaker 2: This is night.
- 6:05Speaker 1: She goes good shot, Read, and I'm like, hey, I
- 6:09Speaker 1: hit the good shot.
- 6:10Speaker 2: She goes.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I don't need to compliment you.
- 6:12Speaker 2: They suck. I have to ask, are you guys that
- 6:15Speaker 2: couple that like gives each other a kiss after a
- 6:18Speaker 2: good shot or like.
- 6:19Speaker 3: No, I didn't see that, No, we're not.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I had a couple the other day that were like
- 6:22Speaker 2: spanking each other with a pickleball paddle after after good shots.
- 6:26Speaker 2: It's one of those where it's like that seems like
- 6:29Speaker 2: enough to do that.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I didn't even.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Use a paddle.
- 6:35Speaker 1: My my communication with my wife I've had to change
- 6:38Speaker 1: because we'd play and she's an athlete and so it
- 6:41Speaker 1: would just be like if me and you were on
- 6:42Speaker 1: the same team, like, let's go, good job, stuck it up,
- 6:44Speaker 1: get up whatever. She doesn't respond to that. She just
- 6:47Speaker 1: likes regardless, Hey be positive. Yeah, so there's it's no,
- 6:50Speaker 1: we don't flirt. But she also like it's pretty good.
- 6:54Speaker 2: She's an athlete across a boat.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yes, I just am sure to say, hey, great shot,
- 6:57Speaker 1: good hustle. I keep it very positive when I normally
- 7:00Speaker 1: I don't keep it negative. But I just say how
- 7:01Speaker 1: I feel. But I've changed that communication because that's how
- 7:04Speaker 1: she likes to be communicated to.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to let you know that I too
- 7:07Speaker 2: would like to hear that from you when we because
- 7:09Speaker 2: I've not seen it. We hate it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: We hate ourselves exactly because George and I played together.
- 7:15Speaker 1: We've never lost together. By the way, we'll take on
- 7:17Speaker 1: all comers. But it's not even a bat. Georgie like,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I hate myself sucks so bad.
- 7:22Speaker 2: When he really does, I'm like, okay, man, it's warm
- 7:23Speaker 2: up ball. We'll get him.
- 7:24Speaker 3: We'll get them right.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Nobody's even on the court. You're by yourself. Let me
- 7:27Speaker 4: ask you to a question. Bobby and George, do you guys.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Number one number two the league. Yes, we'll take we'll
- 7:31Speaker 2: take the please.
- 7:32Speaker 4: This is from the old fish in choir guys question here,
- 7:37Speaker 4: what like, do you guys ever play for fun?
- 7:39Speaker 3: Like where you just have fun? What play anything? Anything?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Any kind of game?
- 7:43Speaker 2: You know what's the most fun winning?
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:45Speaker 3: Good point, George, right right, But do you ever just
- 7:48Speaker 3: play for fun?
- 7:49Speaker 2: I don't.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I don't know. Probably if there's like a child, right, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 1: a young child, I will play because I feel like
- 8:01Speaker 1: I need to do something to keep him busy.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Okayta, even with my kids, I'm not gonna like hurt him,
- 8:06Speaker 2: but they're gonna know who the best is, Like like
- 8:09Speaker 2: if we're playing, if we're shooting hoops in the driveway
- 8:10Speaker 2: with my kids, or if we're playing golf or whatever, Like,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna let him think they can beat dad.
- 8:15Speaker 2: They need to know, you know that if they're gonna be.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Mad they Yeah, so where you're a kid, George's kids can't. Yes,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I coached Read to a victory over me.
- 8:26Speaker 6: He coached you beat him?
- 8:27Speaker 2: He did beat him, but but it was coaching. But
- 8:30Speaker 2: it didn't matter.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I just I'm just yell at Read where to hit
- 8:33Speaker 1: it and what he's doing wrong as the points are going.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And he did it and he was great. He was
- 8:37Speaker 1: really good. And I'm like movie feet, hit it to
- 8:39Speaker 1: the left, go right now, and he would do it
- 8:41Speaker 1: every time. His hand our coordination is so good. But
- 8:43Speaker 1: he sometimes he just gets sloppy, and sloppy comes lazy.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Button ub breed could be dangerous. The seven foot wingspan there. Yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 2: but even a coached win is a win, that's true.
- 8:54Speaker 6: I'll take it, of course.
- 8:55Speaker 1: And then we played it uncoached. I woped his butt
- 8:57Speaker 1: but still beat me seven. But a couple of those
- 8:59Speaker 1: points though, I think we know, okay, hold on then,
- 9:01Speaker 1: So so does Reid move up the rankings? Is he
- 9:03Speaker 1: beat number one? I mean he should.
- 9:06Speaker 2: That sounds more like an exhibition game. Yeah. I think
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think you may take it a little tick up.
- 9:10Speaker 6: I'll take a tick.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I think you take a little tick out. I think
- 9:13Speaker 1: you have a lot of potential.
- 9:14Speaker 6: We want to hear it.
- 9:15Speaker 3: But you did earn it.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I didn't hit a single ball for you. All I
- 9:17Speaker 1: was doing was like hit it over here, now do this,
- 9:19Speaker 1: do that, and you did it. It just shows you
- 9:20Speaker 1: have the hand eye coordination. Yeah, and you when you
- 9:23Speaker 1: don't play sloppy and you actually care because he'll just
- 9:26Speaker 1: serve fault and like, dude, just focus, Eddie does that
- 9:30Speaker 1: crap too? What do you serve and hit it out?
- 9:32Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 9:33Speaker 3: But I'm focusing. I just can't hit the ball.
- 9:34Speaker 7: See read does a good serve though?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Really good serf?
- 9:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:38Speaker 2: Okay, pick a ball?
- 9:39Speaker 3: Talk over, Thank goodness, George.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Did you happen to see Caitlin Clark at the LP
- 9:44Speaker 1: or the pro am?
- 9:44Speaker 2: I did?
- 9:45Speaker 1: Did you happen to see her hit into the crowd?
- 9:47Speaker 2: I did?
- 9:48Speaker 3: I did you hear the guy go?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Like so?
- 9:51Speaker 1: And I think she's generally a good golfer.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Her swing is unbelievable and I've seen a bunch of
- 9:56Speaker 2: other shots from her that are incredible, Like so, it
- 9:59Speaker 2: just show you, know it is. Golf is a nerve
- 10:02Speaker 2: wracking game, especially when you have a bunch of people
- 10:04Speaker 2: watching you. When you're trying to swing a club one
- 10:06Speaker 2: hundred miles an hour and hit it on something the
- 10:08Speaker 2: size of a square inch, you know, sometimes you mess
- 10:10Speaker 2: up a little bit.
- 10:11Speaker 1: She was playing the Anika pro am on Wednesday. She
- 10:14Speaker 1: was paired with Nellie Korda. She's the one who smokes
- 10:17Speaker 1: ciarettes on the course.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Right, Uh no, not Nelly.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Oh that's not her, that's who it is. Yeah, And
- 10:22Speaker 1: it was like a dude, like a one word dude name. Yeah,
- 10:25Speaker 1: now I talk it. Jason Ricard, I don't know who
- 10:28Speaker 1: that is. And Dan Towers, but they're there, and so
- 10:30Speaker 1: she's up in there. There's a gallery what do we
- 10:32Speaker 1: call a gallery at the teabo? Oh yeah, okay, And
- 10:35Speaker 1: so she hits and luckily it doesn't hit me in
- 10:36Speaker 1: the face. It goes right over the people.
- 10:38Speaker 2: It missed by like inches.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Somebody have hit someone in the face at a celebrity
- 10:42Speaker 1: tournament before. And George is the best. I think George
- 10:45Speaker 1: is the best golfer in all the country music. I
- 10:47Speaker 1: know there were a pros to live here, so I
- 10:48Speaker 1: can't say all in Nashville, but I think George is
- 10:50Speaker 1: the best golfer in all the country music. He played
- 10:52Speaker 1: golf in college, so I'm sure you have many stories.
- 10:56Speaker 1: We're just out of sheer a numbers game. But I played,
- 11:00Speaker 1: and I was doing a par three at Pebble Beach
- 11:04Speaker 1: and it's a celebrity tournament and the girl was and
- 11:07Speaker 1: I hit a pretty good shot, but she was just
- 11:08Speaker 1: standing on the edge of the green. She did not
- 11:10Speaker 1: see it hit her right in the face. I don't
- 11:13Speaker 1: see it hit her in the face. All I see
- 11:14Speaker 1: is that roll onto the green. It hit her face
- 11:16Speaker 1: and rickeyschet perfectly rolled right toward the hole.
- 11:19Speaker 3: A great shot.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I took off running give them a little fives. I
- 11:22Speaker 1: thought it hit the greatest shot on intrant.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Because it did look like it hit a tree branch
- 11:26Speaker 4: or something. It was right by the hole though, it
- 11:27Speaker 4: was right off the green.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Right off the edge, and but it yeah, I just thought, yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: like it hit like a little some nick of something
- 11:33Speaker 1: in roll. And so I'm just running giving people five,
- 11:35Speaker 1: throwing my clubs and here it comes to go with
- 11:37Speaker 1: a big ice pack on her face and she's like,
- 11:40Speaker 1: I didn't look up and it hit her right in
- 11:42Speaker 1: the face. And that was embarrassing. Ever hit anbody of
- 11:43Speaker 1: the ball.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I have and I also am a strong opinion. It
- 11:46Speaker 2: is probably not a popular opinion, but I do think
- 11:48Speaker 2: that it helps the pros a little bit. You've got
- 11:50Speaker 2: a built in backboard that we as amateurs without galleries
- 11:53Speaker 2: when we go play, we don't have it in the pros.
- 11:54Speaker 2: You know, airmail of the green. You take it off
- 11:56Speaker 2: somebody's head it's back. You take it off the tenth
- 11:58Speaker 2: that they build, it's back. You've got a little bit
- 12:00Speaker 2: of insurance there.
- 12:01Speaker 4: And they never lose a ball because he's got people
- 12:03Speaker 4: looking for him.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's a good point.
- 12:06Speaker 7: I'd be good for us.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But then we played the role like, but if we're
- 12:09Speaker 1: playing with the PG, would we have found it?
- 12:10Speaker 5: Yeah? Okay, they.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Then it's not a drop. So do you have a
- 12:14Speaker 1: story of hitting anybody with the ball?
- 12:15Speaker 2: I've never done like anything like that. I early in
- 12:19Speaker 2: my career, I was signed to a record deal with
- 12:23Speaker 2: Toby Keith and got to know him pretty well, and
- 12:24Speaker 2: I went out to Pebble Beach with him and I
- 12:25Speaker 2: watched him ask a woman about one hundred yards away
- 12:29Speaker 2: from him. He was like, hey, can you move? And
- 12:31Speaker 2: she was like no. He's like, hey can you move?
- 12:32Speaker 2: And he goes okay. He hits his three wood and
- 12:35Speaker 2: drills her oh with the ball and luckily it hit
- 12:38Speaker 2: her in his purse and he goes told you to move,
- 12:41Speaker 2: And he was that good?
- 12:43Speaker 3: I mean, because that's pretty accurate.
- 12:45Speaker 2: No, she was like twenty yards left of the fairway.
- 12:47Speaker 1: It was he knew his tendency.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Dang.
- 12:53Speaker 2: He asked her twice, though aster twice. You know it
- 12:55Speaker 2: wasn't his fault at that point. Yeah, dang, I mentioned
- 12:59Speaker 2: this back Cooper Flag and Duke Kevin. Did you watch
- 13:02Speaker 2: Kentucky and Duke played all?
- 13:03Speaker 7: I did not.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I watched the last couple of minutes on an alert saying
- 13:08Speaker 1: the game was close on Apple.
- 13:09Speaker 2: So did you get the Apple alerts? Guys?
- 13:11Speaker 3: No, but that's awesome any games.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Like it's close, little black thing comes down Apple and
- 13:16Speaker 1: so go over and I watched it, and they went
- 13:18Speaker 1: to Cooper Flag and I so at the end of
- 13:20Speaker 1: the game, he did not hit. They did not win.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So whatever the whole thing to me that sticks out
- 13:25Speaker 1: of my Cooper Flag, who practiced with the Olympic team
- 13:29Speaker 1: right went to Vegas with all those guys. He's still
- 13:32Speaker 1: only seventeen. I know, he's still still only seventeen. He's
- 13:35Speaker 1: not even It's not just that he's a freshman. He's
- 13:38Speaker 1: a reclassified freshman. He would be a senior in high
- 13:40Speaker 1: school this year. He finished the game with twenty six
- 13:43Speaker 1: point twelve rebounds, two blocks. Again at the end, he
- 13:46Speaker 1: had a couple turnovers. Get a little ugly, not even ugly,
- 13:49Speaker 1: but he's so semi dominant at times really dominant. But
- 13:55Speaker 1: he's seventeen years old.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Wild and he didn't even really look it.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Like that was watching Dartmouth or something yesterday and like,
- 14:02Speaker 4: there's a kid there that looked like he's my sixteen
- 14:04Speaker 4: year old's age. Is it any shorter though, Nah, there's
- 14:07Speaker 4: just a face or whatever, but he doesn't look like
- 14:09Speaker 4: seventeen to me.
- 14:10Speaker 3: He's huge.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He has a twin brother who's playing at Maine, and
- 14:13Speaker 1: it's weird when twins don't get the same genetics like that.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I feel bad for the less physically blessed, at least
- 14:25Speaker 1: right now twin because things can change, and who knows
- 14:28Speaker 1: the other brother may be smarter, Yeah, maybe, but it's
- 14:32Speaker 1: some twins are just bigger. For example, Kevin Klug, our trainer,
- 14:36Speaker 1: his brother is twin brother is just a little bigger
- 14:37Speaker 1: than he is, and Kevin Klue play college football. His
- 14:40Speaker 1: brother played in the NFL because his brother was two
- 14:42Speaker 1: inches taller and twenty pounds that made a difference.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gotta suck being the other one.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Because what would probably suck less is if you.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Were just completely different as a twin. Yeah, meaning you're
- 14:55Speaker 1: identical twins but like Ray Mundo and his brother Ray
- 14:59Speaker 1: short and muscular and his brother's tall, Like they weren't
- 15:02Speaker 1: going to do the exact same thing, didn't matter their
- 15:05Speaker 1: bodies weren't the same. That would probably be the better
- 15:07Speaker 1: twin to be than to almost the exact same. And
- 15:10Speaker 1: then one is really great and you're good.
- 15:12Speaker 3: They're the like the Lopez twins. You know that.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we're both so elite.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it. One was better played longer.
- 15:18Speaker 2: But still, Jake Owen has a twin, doesn't he. He does
- 15:21Speaker 2: have a twin very different than him too, very different. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 2: but Jake just chose. I think they just I think
- 15:28Speaker 2: they chose to do different things, like knowing Jake's twin
- 15:32Speaker 2: brother was like the guy in high school athlete, and
- 15:36Speaker 2: Jake was kind of like he played sports. He's kind
- 15:39Speaker 2: of like the loser music guy, and that flipped. Where
- 15:43Speaker 2: as far as the music, well, you're a loser anymore.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Now you're like the guy. Let me tell you from experience,
- 15:48Speaker 2: the flip from being the loser music guy to the
- 15:50Speaker 2: cool music guy is the coolest feeling in the world, because,
- 15:54Speaker 2: I mean, you eat it for a long time. In music,
- 15:57Speaker 2: there's no worse feeling than sitting at a bar playing
- 15:59Speaker 2: guitar and nobody listening and everybody kind of rolling your eyes, like, oh,
- 16:02Speaker 2: you're chasing this dream.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Good luck, dude?
- 16:04Speaker 4: Is that because high school is so like sports based,
- 16:07Speaker 4: where like, oh, you play sports your.
- 16:09Speaker 2: And if you if you bring a guitar, if you
- 16:11Speaker 2: have a guitar, everbody's like, oh, what's this guy gonna
- 16:12Speaker 2: come singing by off campfire?
- 16:15Speaker 1: And you're celebrated within the culture of high school so
- 16:19Speaker 1: on the high school football team, and that school celebrates
- 16:22Speaker 1: that you're a part of what's happening there. Musically, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: guess if there was a band, like every school had
- 16:30Speaker 1: a band they were proud of and went and toured
- 16:31Speaker 1: and rooted for them to win a bat it that
- 16:33Speaker 1: was like that, it would be different. But there's not
- 16:35Speaker 1: a culture of celebrating music like that, Like there's a
- 16:39Speaker 1: culture you know, if you're on count like that idea,
- 16:42Speaker 1: what's that like?
- 16:42Speaker 3: Band?
- 16:42Speaker 2: School getting behind your band, you go win Battle of
- 16:45Speaker 2: the Band.
- 16:45Speaker 3: And they tour.
- 16:46Speaker 2: It's like, yeah, like school of Rock Road high school.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, next up, I got a few things on
- 16:52Speaker 1: my mind here. Hey, I got my.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Mind on you.
- 16:56Speaker 2: And they don't don't sing it if you don't believe it.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Everywhere I go, man, I think he's a superstar rookie
- 17:04Speaker 1: quarterback comparisons. I just wanted to pull up the stats
- 17:06Speaker 1: on these four guys real quick. Caleb stats sevente hundred
- 17:09Speaker 1: passing yards, nine touchdowns, five interceptions. Are they going to
- 17:13Speaker 1: pull him?
- 17:15Speaker 3: I don't think he can.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, not yet.
- 17:17Speaker 8: You got to try it out with the new OC, right,
- 17:19Speaker 8: you know.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Okay, let me rephrase. Are they gonna give him a
- 17:22Speaker 1: break for a minute, or is he just gonna run
- 17:24Speaker 1: with a new because again.
- 17:27Speaker 3: So much hype around him.
- 17:28Speaker 9: That would be maybe after week twelve, when they're officially
- 17:31Speaker 9: eliminated from playoffs, maybe they're like, eh, well let's get
- 17:33Speaker 9: him some rod.
- 17:33Speaker 1: It just feels unhappy, yeah, not just losing. It just
- 17:38Speaker 1: feels un looking at the body language. It feels so unhappy.
- 17:42Speaker 1: And they are not good. And we thought they even myself, like,
- 17:46Speaker 1: look at all the weapons they have everywhere?
- 17:47Speaker 8: Well I never really got while they kept ebraflus or whatever.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And he's an offensive coach, yeah, you know, he's a
- 17:53Speaker 1: purely defensive coach. You would think with a new, young,
- 17:56Speaker 1: hot shot quarterback you'd bring in an offensive mine, right,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and Kingsbury was there right.
- 18:00Speaker 7: Yeah. They do have the hardest schedule remaining too, that
- 18:03Speaker 7: doesn't help.
- 18:04Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Looks like at Jaden's stats with the Commanders, twenty one
- 18:06Speaker 1: hundred passing yards, nine touchdowns, two interceptions. The big difference there,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I mean, for the most part, touchdowns are the same,
- 18:12Speaker 1: are the passing yards a few less interceptions, but the
- 18:15Speaker 1: rushing yards is pretty big. He's got almost five and
- 18:17Speaker 1: also like dude wins.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Yeah, like he was just NFL ready from the get go,
- 18:22Speaker 8: except his body isn't.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Yeah, he's Kevin Durant. Remember Kevin Durant. He's never gonna
- 18:27Speaker 2: make any hue.
- 18:28Speaker 8: That's twig, that's true.
- 18:29Speaker 1: But yeah, Drake May, hey, Drake may dude, I think
- 18:31Speaker 1: you might have something. I think you might have something.
- 18:34Speaker 7: I think so too. We're ready.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Nine.
- 18:37Speaker 1: He does not have the accumulation of passing yards because
- 18:40Speaker 1: he hasn't played as many games and the start as
- 18:42Speaker 1: many games. Obviously, seven touchdown, five interceptions, I would say
- 18:45Speaker 1: the worst cast of all three of those though, Like
- 18:48Speaker 1: he has the least amount of weabonings. Oh yeah, yeah, so,
- 18:52Speaker 1: but I think there's something Drake may and it's pretty
- 18:54Speaker 1: cool to see because it's so raw, but you're starting
- 18:55Speaker 1: to see now like something you feel pretty good about
- 18:58Speaker 1: building around.
- 18:59Speaker 7: Yeah, it's fun to watch, it's exciting.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Married would you have me that behind my desk?
- 19:02Speaker 2: And then yeah, I got you?
- 19:04Speaker 1: And then bon Knicks who has two thousand passing yards,
- 19:07Speaker 1: ten touchdowns, six interceptions.
- 19:09Speaker 8: I love Bick, Give me the Bonnicks, dude, I love
- 19:12Speaker 8: bon Nicks. They should have won that game six and five.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Nicks goes bone.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Nicks goes so hard in both directions, winning and losing,
- 19:20Speaker 1: like he goes. He you can pull it, Yeah, you
- 19:24Speaker 1: pull it on.
- 19:24Speaker 2: I brought this in.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave it up here.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Oh this is my pull, you pull it. This is
- 19:31Speaker 2: my bon Knicks.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Oh that's pretty rookie gold, that's chrome. Look at this.
- 19:40Speaker 2: This is for my guy here who I who?
- 19:42Speaker 1: If I were going to take one of these four quarterbacks,
- 19:44Speaker 1: well may know you, but I'm gonna say it, but
- 19:47Speaker 1: I think Bix is a baller. Yeah he's awesome, no
- 19:50Speaker 1: fear of that's number one. But that's pretty cool halmadah.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Yeah, really cool with a visor, Yeah, blue blue visor.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Bonnicks signed that to Bobby and George my favorite pickleball team.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Really a superstar, George, she wrote down. He wrote that
- 20:03Speaker 1: on the back. What order, Kevin, do you take them?
- 20:05Speaker 1: If you have to redraft them? Jayden, Drake, Drake over Kayle,
- 20:10Speaker 1: Are you being a homer.
- 20:11Speaker 9: Though I'm being a homer. I'm being a homer. But
- 20:13Speaker 9: Jade and Drake, Caleb, Bo.
- 20:16Speaker 8: Can't see you Jaden, Caleb, Drake, Bo Eddie.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I would go Jaden, I would go I still like Caleb,
- 20:26Speaker 4: and I would go Bo Drake. Drake to me, hasn't
- 20:30Speaker 4: proven anything yet. Yes, there's a lot of hope there,
- 20:32Speaker 4: but I don't see it yet.
- 20:35Speaker 1: I'm probably gonna go still Caleb, then Jaden, then Bo,
- 20:41Speaker 1: then Drake. I think all four of these quarterbacks getting
- 20:43Speaker 1: up being good, which is which is odd in a
- 20:45Speaker 1: class where like all four of them hit. We I mean,
- 20:48Speaker 1: we're not gonna get the We're not going to chance
- 20:51Speaker 1: to see old Michigan boyfriend playing with the Vikings until
- 20:55Speaker 1: next year. All right, thank you very much. Let's do this.
- 20:57Speaker 2: You guys want to build a parlay or No, we're
- 20:59Speaker 2: gonna be up on the app.
- 21:00Speaker 7: We're gonna win be next week.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Not this week.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Nope, oh, let's do a three or then okay, we'll go.
- 21:06Speaker 1: We're gonna pick three games here.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I got a good one.
- 21:09Speaker 7: Oh he's ready, I got a good one.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 21:12Speaker 4: We gotta go Northwestern over Ohio State's North's there. It's
- 21:16Speaker 4: a Northwestern is at plus twenty eight and a half.
- 21:19Speaker 4: And for some reason, when I've had crazy parlays hit
- 21:23Speaker 4: this year, Northwestern's that one team where I'm like, let
- 21:26Speaker 4: me just I don't know, let me chance it with Northwestern.
- 21:28Speaker 4: They always come through for me. Dude, this is it
- 21:31Speaker 4: Northwestern is it's gonna be. I wouldn't say it's gonna
- 21:33Speaker 4: be a close game, but they're gonna safely cover that bet.
- 21:36Speaker 1: We're picking based on your ah better than any of
- 21:41Speaker 1: anything else we do. I think when we miss. Okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: so Northwestern plus twenty eight over Ohio State, Dude, they're
- 21:47Speaker 1: gonna get beat by one hundred.
- 21:48Speaker 3: Do you think so?
- 21:49Speaker 2: Don't?
- 21:49Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what I think, because.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I'm telling you, Northwestern's just been that team where I'm.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Like, I mean, just Taylor on them, okay, and they
- 21:58Speaker 4: have not let me down yet.
- 22:00Speaker 2: I'm kevin.
- 22:02Speaker 9: I'm looking at South Carolina at home against Missouri minus
- 22:06Speaker 9: twelve right now?
- 22:07Speaker 7: Is Brady is Cook still out?
- 22:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Obviously he was out last week and that effected the
- 22:12Speaker 1: game greatly.
- 22:13Speaker 7: Do you know yours go with Years if you do?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 22:15Speaker 1: I know mine. That's why I told Amy to bet
- 22:17Speaker 1: Oregon minus fourteen in Wisconsin. Quack quack, Yeah, like, don't
- 22:20Speaker 1: mess with Oregon now they're no good?
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yes?
- 22:22Speaker 2: What is the uh Texas Arkansas spread minus thirteen?
- 22:25Speaker 3: Oh, he's not touching that.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I don't.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I don't game.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Who do you got, George?
- 22:31Speaker 3: Oh? A little a guest picker?
- 22:33Speaker 2: Well, no, he's a Texas fan. I went, we're gonna
- 22:36Speaker 2: talk about that in a second.
- 22:37Speaker 7: Key, I'm just gonna go with it. South Carolina minus twelve?
- 22:43Speaker 3: You sure?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 22:44Speaker 3: I feel like you just threw that one together.
- 22:45Speaker 1: No, it stuck out to me. And so what are
- 22:48Speaker 1: we doing? Northwestern plus twenty eight and a half and
- 22:50Speaker 1: a half, don't forget it? Oregon minus fourteen at at
- 22:54Speaker 1: Wisconsin and Kevin years is.
- 22:56Speaker 7: South Carolina minus twelve at home against Missouri?
- 23:00Speaker 1: Wonder what they know about the quarterback situation? There is
- 23:02Speaker 1: not very good there are they?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Their offense is quite.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Good when their quarterback plays don't let the reputation as
- 23:12Speaker 1: Missouri affect your judgment because they have not been good
- 23:16Speaker 1: for years.
- 23:17Speaker 7: No, I'm not this year. They were frauds in the beginning.
- 23:20Speaker 7: We like Missouri. Nothing against them.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I don't know they were fraudulent. I think some of
- 23:23Speaker 1: the teams that almost beat them, we learned they weren't fraudulent,
- 23:25Speaker 1: like Vanderbilt. Like Vanderbilt takes them to overtime and they
- 23:28Speaker 1: We're like, Missouri is a fraud and they were like, nope,
- 23:31Speaker 1: Vanderbilt is actually pretty good. What's their schedule, don't I'm
- 23:36Speaker 1: not fighting for Missouri, I know.
- 23:38Speaker 7: But South Carolina just smoked Vanderbilt on the road.
- 23:40Speaker 1: South Carolina's really good though. South Carolina, like the week
- 23:43Speaker 1: before that South Carolina beat they had a good win
- 23:46Speaker 1: the week before that. Now games are getting mixed up.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I know there's our game. There is a and M.
- 23:53Speaker 1: That's right, that's right. If you want to that's when

- 24:35Speaker 1: All right, here is our talk with NFL Network insider
- 24:38Speaker 1: Tom Pelsero. Tom's all over NFL Network hosting a daily
- 24:41Speaker 1: TV show called The Insiders, which is a great show
- 24:45Speaker 1: to appearing on Good Morning Football Game Day morning.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I mean he is everywhere he is, as they would say, ubiquitous.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Do you use that word?
- 24:52Speaker 3: I'm no, never. I don't think I've ever used that word.
- 24:55Speaker 7: No, A biquitous.
- 24:57Speaker 3: You don't even know how to pronounce it, do you, George.
- 25:01Speaker 2: That would be a first for me to use.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Ambiguitous.
- 25:05Speaker 1: No, I did not think it was a word that
- 25:08Speaker 1: no one used the word ubiquitous. You should look it
- 25:12Speaker 1: up then, because you'll always remember what it means. The
- 25:14Speaker 1: only reason I even know it and use it is
- 25:16Speaker 1: one time somebody called me that a few years ago
- 25:18Speaker 1: in an article, and I got I was like them,
- 25:20Speaker 1: and then I realized I shouldn't have been mad. I realized,
- 25:24Speaker 1: well that I guess I shouldn't have been mad at that.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Funny Okay, what yeah, how do you spell that?
- 25:28Speaker 2: You be? I? I forgot where we all.
- 25:38Speaker 4: You U I T I O U S and ubigous
- 25:43Speaker 4: present biquitous it's like everywhere like she still spelled it.
- 25:49Speaker 4: It's present appearing and being around everywhere exactly, like you're
- 25:52Speaker 4: just kind of everywhere.
- 25:53Speaker 1: And the article and the article was like, byes, everybody's
- 25:55Speaker 1: on TV. But it was like, BYBLE'TU biquitous? I'm like,
- 25:57Speaker 1: f you whatever that means?
- 25:58Speaker 2: I am not that.
- 25:59Speaker 1: It's like, oh, it means I'm just kind of living
- 26:02Speaker 1: in some areas.
- 26:02Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Yeah, Tom Pelisero, he is ubiquitous. He's everywhere. Tom is
- 26:06Speaker 1: very dialed in. Follow him at Tom Pallisero. Here he is,
- 26:10Speaker 1: as we said eighteen times, Tom Pallisero, you're the guy
- 26:12Speaker 1: who wanted to talk to for a couple of reasons.
- 26:14Speaker 1: One because we feel like if there's anyone that knows
- 26:17Speaker 1: what's going on with the Anthony richards situation and with Colts,
- 26:20Speaker 1: it would be you. Ye, they're going back to Richardson?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Are they going to stay with him? Like?
- 26:25Speaker 2: Why did they make this decision?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Now?
- 26:26Speaker 5: Yeah, So they went to Joe Flacco two weeks ago,
- 26:30Speaker 5: and that was a product of a couple of things. One,
- 26:32Speaker 5: they just weren't efficient offensively. There was a strange situation
- 26:36Speaker 5: where Anthony Richardson literally taps out of that game because
- 26:40Speaker 5: he was gassed. What I was told at the time
- 26:42Speaker 5: was Anthony Richardson needed a breath, whether that's mentally, physically, emotionally,
- 26:50Speaker 5: he just needed to have something of a reset. Obviously,
- 26:54Speaker 5: they had seen Joe Flacco playing at a high level
- 26:57Speaker 5: to that point in the season. When he'd gotten onto
- 26:59Speaker 5: the field, their passing game had been more consistent. So
- 27:03Speaker 5: Flacco gets his first start Sunday Night Football against the
- 27:05Speaker 5: Vikings against a really tough opponent on the road, tough environment,
- 27:09Speaker 5: Brian Flores call him. The plays doesn't go great, and
- 27:13Speaker 5: then last week, you know, the pick six right out
- 27:15Speaker 5: of the Gate and the Colts are in the early hole.
- 27:17Speaker 5: Even though Shane Steichen went to the podium on Monday
- 27:20Speaker 5: and said, Joe Flacco's the guy until I say otherwise.
- 27:22Speaker 5: Joe Flacco's the guy moving forward, it probably shouldn't shock
- 27:26Speaker 5: anybody that, you know, at that time, he already was
- 27:28Speaker 5: thinking we may have to switch back to Anthony Richardson.
- 27:31Speaker 5: So the hope here is that for a guy who
- 27:33Speaker 5: was drafted fourth overall, who had not played a ton
- 27:36Speaker 5: of football, who is still one of the youngest quarterbacks
- 27:38Speaker 5: in the NFL about he's twenty two years old, that
- 27:41Speaker 5: this was kind of a you know, a wake up
- 27:44Speaker 5: call a little bit. You know, we got we got
- 27:45Speaker 5: to grow up a bit. It wasn't doing anything wrong
- 27:48Speaker 5: per se, but there's a youth to him and maybe
- 27:51Speaker 5: a naivete where all those extra things. It's not just
- 27:55Speaker 5: a matter of being a great preparer, it's being the best.
- 27:59Speaker 5: Those are the things that we were hoping sitting back
- 28:01Speaker 5: for a couple of weeks with Joe Flacco's starting was
- 28:03Speaker 5: going to bring him. They're optimistic that he did learn
- 28:05Speaker 5: some things. They would have loved that Joe Flacco and
- 28:07Speaker 5: the Colts had won those games, then we're not even
- 28:09Speaker 5: having this discussion. But Anthony Richardson, even though it's very inconsistent,
- 28:13Speaker 5: lowest completion percentage, all that stuff, he's got one or
- 28:16Speaker 5: two plays every game. We were like, holy cal they
- 28:19Speaker 5: could harness that. This guy's got a chance. We'll see
- 28:23Speaker 5: in a second opportunity whether he's able to take those
- 28:25Speaker 5: steps forward.
- 28:26Speaker 1: A couple of human questions based on this circumstances. One
- 28:30Speaker 1: Joe Flacker, like, how does he feel about being benched again?
- 28:34Speaker 1: Did he know his role as just to be the
- 28:36Speaker 1: stop gap? He played great with the Browns, wasn't expected
- 28:39Speaker 1: to really be the quarterback for the Browns, but then
- 28:41Speaker 1: does and plays wonderfully. Then was with you know, with
- 28:43Speaker 1: the Colts this year not as great of a season.
- 28:45Speaker 1: But does he get upset when he gets benched or
- 28:47Speaker 1: does he from the very beginning Noah's role? And the
- 28:49Speaker 1: second part of the human question is like, how does
- 28:51Speaker 1: the locker room feel about Anthony Richardson in general?
- 28:54Speaker 5: Joe Flacco is you know, he's seen it all, he's
- 28:57Speaker 5: forty years old, he was drafted back and oh, you know,
- 29:00Speaker 5: this is a guy who has won a Super Bowl,
- 29:03Speaker 5: been the highest paid player in the NFL twice, yet
- 29:06Speaker 5: for a large chunk of his career in Baltimore, you know,
- 29:09Speaker 5: he was a bit of a punch line. It was
- 29:11Speaker 5: just Joe Flacco because he's I think this big, kind
- 29:14Speaker 5: of gangly looking, immobile guy. People just wanted to, you know,
- 29:19Speaker 5: poke holes in him. But he's highly accomplished with in
- 29:21Speaker 5: the league. Nobody signed him last year. The guy's on
- 29:24Speaker 5: his couch in November the Browns. He was the fifth
- 29:26Speaker 5: different or the fourth or fifth different starting quarterback the
- 29:29Speaker 5: Browns had last year. Nobody was signing him. And then
- 29:32Speaker 5: he goes on that run last year. He plays well
- 29:34Speaker 5: down the stretch. He still got one coach that I
- 29:37Speaker 5: really trust in the league always describes it this way
- 29:38Speaker 5: with Joe Flacco. He's got arm twitch. In other words,
- 29:41Speaker 5: not only is he seeing the field and processing quickly,
- 29:44Speaker 5: but the way he can still get the ball out
- 29:46Speaker 5: even though he doesn't move really great, he can get
- 29:48Speaker 5: the football out really quickly. That part of his game
- 29:50Speaker 5: is still there. But nobody was signing him this offseason.
- 29:53Speaker 5: The Browns weren't resigning him. Part of that was I'm
- 29:56Speaker 5: sure that they didn't want calls for Joe Flacco. The
- 29:58Speaker 5: moment that Deshaun Watson struck in the end. Maybe the
- 30:01Speaker 5: Browns would have liked Joe Flackol to be there based
- 30:03Speaker 5: upon how their season went. But for Joe Flacol, he
- 30:07Speaker 5: knows this is results based. He knows he's not anybody's
- 30:09Speaker 5: long term solution. As long as he wants to play
- 30:12Speaker 5: in the NFL, this is probably his role most backup quarterbacks, Bobby,
- 30:17Speaker 5: if you look across the NFL over the course of time,
- 30:19Speaker 5: you're happy if you can go five hundred with those guys.
- 30:22Speaker 5: There's not a lot of times. Yeah, Nick Foles had
- 30:24Speaker 5: a great run with the Eagles Flacco last season when
- 30:26Speaker 5: he came in, but those are those stories are few
- 30:29Speaker 5: and far between. You're just hoping somebody can get you
- 30:31Speaker 5: back to your starting quarterback. Flaco had his opportunity. They
- 30:35Speaker 5: lost a couple of games. And with regard to the
- 30:37Speaker 5: locker room and Anthony Richardson, everybody wants the same thing.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Everybody there wants to have a team that's winning, a
- 30:44Speaker 5: team that is productive, that's making big plays, and it's
- 30:47Speaker 5: fun to be on the field. They're not out of it.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Look at the standings right now, the AFC South is
- 30:52Speaker 5: wide open. Especially with the Texans stumbling of late here.
- 30:55Speaker 5: I anticipate fully that they are going to rally around
- 30:58Speaker 5: Anthony Richardson and they're gonna hope again that this wake
- 31:02Speaker 5: up call for him over the last couple of weeks
- 31:04Speaker 5: brings back a guy who maybe takes, you know, even
- 31:07Speaker 5: if it's baby steps toward making the most of his
- 31:09Speaker 5: guy given abilities.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I want to stay internally and even to speculating internally
- 31:14Speaker 1: with the Bears. They just fired Waldron, the offensive coordinator.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I don't know, you know, if any of those guys
- 31:20Speaker 1: are going to be around next year. But how do
- 31:22Speaker 1: you feel Caleb Williams is being received by his teammates.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I mean, we've seen people walk off the field. You know,
- 31:28Speaker 1: maybe maybe he had an injury, but like what's happening
- 31:31Speaker 1: there with Caleb Williams Chicago.
- 31:33Speaker 5: I think it's it's hard Bobby to fully evaluate, you know,
- 31:38Speaker 5: anything that's going on with surrounding specifically Caleb Williams, because
- 31:42Speaker 5: the whole thing hasn't looked very good. Dj Moore, who's
- 31:45Speaker 5: got a great reputation as a locker room guy. As
- 31:47Speaker 5: a person, he's been the one throwing his helmet. He's
- 31:50Speaker 5: the one as you reference who in the middle of
- 31:52Speaker 5: a play. I've never seen that before. EA tweaks something
- 31:54Speaker 5: but walks off the field and is sitting on the
- 31:56Speaker 5: bench while Caleb Williams is still scrambling around. These are
- 32:00Speaker 5: unusual types of things. I think that there were probably
- 32:04Speaker 5: unrealistic expectations, quite honestly, for how quickly the Bears were
- 32:08Speaker 5: going to play at a high level this season. Because
- 32:10Speaker 5: they went and they signed DeAndre Swift, or they traded
- 32:12Speaker 5: for Kean Allen and they drafted Romadunze, the defense was
- 32:15Speaker 5: playing great. Everybody looked at him like, hey, basically challenging
- 32:18Speaker 5: in the division. The reality is coming from that air
- 32:21Speaker 5: a derivative scheme that Caleb Williams played in with Lincoln Riley,
- 32:25Speaker 5: and specifically in twenty twenty three when USC's receivers in
- 32:27Speaker 5: their offensive line weren't very good. If you watch his
- 32:30Speaker 5: highlight reel, almost everything is off schedule, hero ball, throwing
- 32:34Speaker 5: off balance, running around outside the pocket. It's hard to
- 32:37Speaker 5: live like that in the NFL, and so there was
- 32:40Speaker 5: a lot that Caleb Williams was going to have to
- 32:42Speaker 5: learn in terms of playing within the scope of an
- 32:44Speaker 5: offense and playing within rhythm.
- 32:47Speaker 1: You know.
- 32:47Speaker 5: I've known Shane Waldron for a long time. He trained
- 32:50Speaker 5: under Bill Belichick, Sean McVay, Pete Carroll. All those guys
- 32:53Speaker 5: trusted him on staff. He was the OC the last
- 32:56Speaker 5: two years of Pete in Seattle. He's a very smart guy.
- 33:00Speaker 5: He's a good football coach. He's a great dude. But
- 33:02Speaker 5: he is a personality that, if not introverted, he's at
- 33:06Speaker 5: minimum introspective and intellectual. He is not going to be
- 33:10Speaker 5: a high energy, in your face type of guy. Some
- 33:14Speaker 5: of the stuff you've been hearing from players, both what
- 33:16Speaker 5: was leaked out early in the season and what guys
- 33:18Speaker 5: like Kean Allen said yesterday as well, he didn't coach
- 33:21Speaker 5: us hard enough. He lets some things slide. He was
- 33:24Speaker 5: too nice of a guy. That's shame, and that works
- 33:26Speaker 5: with certain players, with certain groups players. Obviously with this one,
- 33:30Speaker 5: they want to be coached differently. They now have a
- 33:32Speaker 5: guy in Thomas Brown coming in who I also have
- 33:34Speaker 5: known for a number of years as a former NFL player.
- 33:37Speaker 5: He is going to be high energy and have a
- 33:39Speaker 5: ton of juice. It's a different personality. Is that going
- 33:42Speaker 5: to make a difference. It's the same playbook, it's the
- 33:45Speaker 5: same players on the field. Sometimes at least short term,
- 33:48Speaker 5: this is a placebo effect and people can feel like, well,
- 33:51Speaker 5: this is different. This gives us a chance here. But
- 33:55Speaker 5: in terms of the big picture, you nailed it. You know.
- 33:57Speaker 5: What happens these last eight games is certainly going to
- 33:59Speaker 5: end luence where things go from here. For the Bears
- 34:02Speaker 5: coaching staff, for the Bears organization. The one thing that
- 34:05Speaker 5: I can sit here and confidently tell you is the
- 34:08Speaker 5: Bears believe in Caleb Williams. They want Caleb Williams to
- 34:11Speaker 5: be the guy trying to build a stadium. Caleb is
- 34:14Speaker 5: a big piece of that. They've got to get this
- 34:16Speaker 5: thing right, and they'll continue to tweak things until they
- 34:19Speaker 5: do that.
- 34:20Speaker 1: I was watching Aaron Rodgers, I guess after practice yesterday
- 34:23Speaker 1: and they'd asked him, Hey, do you want to come back?
- 34:24Speaker 1: And he's like, yeah, I think I do. Know whatever
- 34:26Speaker 1: it is a little yeah whatever. His little answer was there,
- 34:28Speaker 1: like do we believe he will come back? Do we
- 34:30Speaker 1: believe he even thinks he's going to come back? Or
- 34:32Speaker 1: is he just doing like Aaron Rodgers extension of care
- 34:34Speaker 1: about me content?
- 34:36Speaker 5: You know, it was interesting because Aaron, for all the
- 34:38Speaker 5: times that he kind of mused about retirement late in
- 34:41Speaker 5: his days in Green Bay, and at one point threatened
- 34:44Speaker 5: retirement because he was fed up with the Packers organization.
- 34:48Speaker 5: Then they paid him on a big contract after another
- 34:50Speaker 5: MVP season. Things seemed fine for like another year, and
- 34:53Speaker 5: then he ends up getting traded to the Jets over time,
- 34:56Speaker 5: and even while you know, he played four snaps last
- 34:58Speaker 5: season before he tore the Achilles, but there were interviews
- 35:01Speaker 5: with him because he goes on the Pat McAfee show
- 35:03Speaker 5: every week, and it was like, yeah, I think I
- 35:05Speaker 5: want to play multiple seasons, you know, I'd like to play.
- 35:06Speaker 5: Three seasons started to extend, then all of a sudden,
- 35:09Speaker 5: the losses start to mount again, and now we're back
- 35:11Speaker 5: to I think I want to play in twenty twenty five.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Quite honestly, this is the first time, or at least
- 35:18Speaker 5: the most degree to which Aaron Rodgers has not necessarily
- 35:22Speaker 5: been in control of his future. You know, there's real questions.
- 35:26Speaker 5: They already fired Robert Sola, his good friend Nathaniel Hackett
- 35:29Speaker 5: is not calling plays anymore for the Jets. He's under
- 35:32Speaker 5: contract with New York, But do the Jets want him back?
- 35:36Speaker 5: Under what circumstances do they want him back, Who would
- 35:38Speaker 5: the coaches be on that team? Does he really want
- 35:41Speaker 5: to go and start over someplace else and have to
- 35:43Speaker 5: go through this same process and trying to get some
- 35:45Speaker 5: of his people in and learn new teammates. These are
- 35:48Speaker 5: real questions, and it's going to be, you know, dictated
- 35:52Speaker 5: in part by who they end up hiring. This question
- 35:54Speaker 5: is just about the head coach hiring process that they're
- 35:56Speaker 5: going to go through, because Donald Trump was just re
- 35:59Speaker 5: elected and that means Woody Johnson could be the owner,
- 36:01Speaker 5: could be headed for an ambassadorship, and so it could
- 36:03Speaker 5: be his brother Christopher run in the process. You know,
- 36:06Speaker 5: it's wild to think about like these massive world issues
- 36:08Speaker 5: that impact professional football, but they're real things and they
- 36:13Speaker 5: definitely also, you know, potentially bear on the future of
- 36:16Speaker 5: a guy who has dabbled a little bit in politics
- 36:18Speaker 5: himself in Aaron Rodgers. I'm sure he's got a million
- 36:21Speaker 5: other things in this life that he wants to do.
- 36:22Speaker 5: But I will tell you this, Bobby, if he had
- 36:25Speaker 5: thought there was a one percent chance that the twenty
- 36:28Speaker 5: twenty fourth season went like this in New York, I
- 36:31Speaker 5: don't believe he would have come back for this year.
- 36:33Speaker 5: I look at him taking hits like he did the
- 36:36Speaker 5: play after last week when there's a third down pass
- 36:38Speaker 5: for DeVonta Adams in the end zone, it gets tipped
- 36:40Speaker 5: and it falls incomplete. Fourth down. He's trying to do
- 36:43Speaker 5: an old school Aaron Rodgers thing, scrambling around by time
- 36:46Speaker 5: outside inside the pocket, and he gets blasted and he
- 36:50Speaker 5: goes down in like the chalk outline pose on the ground,
- 36:53Speaker 5: and all I'm thinking watching this as somebody who's covered
- 36:55Speaker 5: Aaron since my day's back at the Green Bay pres
- 36:57Speaker 5: because that is he's got to be laying there going
- 37:00Speaker 5: what am I doing? Well? Why am I? I've made
- 37:02Speaker 5: all the money of one four MVPs, I've want Why
- 37:04Speaker 5: am I out here getting my butt kicked on a
- 37:08Speaker 5: bad team right now? You know, I would anticipate he's gonna,
- 37:12Speaker 5: you know, step back after the season, evaluate what's best
- 37:15Speaker 5: for him, but also evaluate the landscape. And the Jets
- 37:17Speaker 5: are going to be doing the same thing.
- 37:19Speaker 1: My final three questions, I want to go to coaching.
- 37:20Speaker 1: I just want to ask about Belichick. Do you think
- 37:23Speaker 1: we'll be He'll be back next year.
- 37:25Speaker 5: He'd like to be Bill Belichick, despite the fact that
- 37:28Speaker 5: has he done your show, Bobby has he been. Has
- 37:30Speaker 5: he been here?
- 37:30Speaker 2: He has not. He has not been on our show yet.
- 37:33Speaker 5: You're you're the last show, I think, which is why
- 37:35Speaker 5: we haven't gone after, but you were not going out?
- 37:38Speaker 1: Has he even offered it is different than has he
- 37:40Speaker 1: been on We Love We Love Coach?
- 37:41Speaker 2: But yes, I'm just.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Say he's everywhere in the media game. But I can
- 37:45Speaker 5: tell you he is doing things on a daily basis
- 37:48Speaker 5: all the time to prepare to return. He is staying
- 37:51Speaker 5: up up the speed on game tape, he's staying up
- 37:53Speaker 5: to speed on staffing, and he's talking to people. He's
- 37:56Speaker 5: evaluating potential coaching open He's he intends to be back.
- 37:59Speaker 5: What it'll be ter est to see with Belichick is
- 38:02Speaker 5: what opportunities present themselves and are they the ones that
- 38:06Speaker 5: he would want. He's going to be selected. He's not
- 38:08Speaker 5: going to go to a total tear down rebuild with
- 38:10Speaker 5: no resources, no quarterback. I don't know that he really
- 38:14Speaker 5: would want to go, you know, to the West Coast,
- 38:17Speaker 5: even just based on you know, where he's at in
- 38:19Speaker 5: his life and where his family is located. You know,
- 38:22Speaker 5: one of his sons is obviously not at the University
- 38:24Speaker 5: of Washington, but a lot of his families on the
- 38:26Speaker 5: East Coast. You know, those are all questions he'll have
- 38:29Speaker 5: to evaluate here. The other piece of this is, you know,
- 38:32Speaker 5: for Bill and for Mike Rabel and for Brian Flores
- 38:36Speaker 5: among others, there's real questions based on the hiring process
- 38:39Speaker 5: a year ago of do owners still want to hire
- 38:42Speaker 5: people from negative reinforcement cultures. There's a lot of enthusiasm
- 38:47Speaker 5: right now about the Dan Campbell's of the world and
- 38:49Speaker 5: the Demico Ryans and these coaches who it's positive energy
- 38:53Speaker 5: all the time and they want everyone to be a
- 38:56Speaker 5: part of it, as opposed to like the football god
- 39:00Speaker 5: archetype where it's Bill Belichick. Everyone answers to him, don't
- 39:03Speaker 5: question him. You know, he's on top. I believe Bill
- 39:05Speaker 5: at this point knows probably some you know, things that
- 39:08Speaker 5: maybe he would do differently from his days in New England.
- 39:11Speaker 5: I think he's more meldable to working with different people.
- 39:14Speaker 5: But it's still he knows one way to coach, which
- 39:16Speaker 5: is always to point out the things that we could
- 39:18Speaker 5: do better. This generation of players, does that get through
- 39:22Speaker 5: you know? Right now we're seeing some of the guys
- 39:24Speaker 5: like Dan Quinn who have been that positive reinforcement guy
- 39:27Speaker 5: for a long time having success. Does that impact the
- 39:29Speaker 5: hiring frends? Or do people go Bill Belichick's one more
- 39:32Speaker 5: games than almost everybody in NFL history. What are we
- 39:35Speaker 5: We're gonna hire some thirty five year old one year
- 39:38Speaker 5: offensive coordinator, or we're gonna hire Bill? If you're close,
- 39:41Speaker 5: if you think that you're not that far away, and
- 39:43Speaker 5: you got the resources in place, maybe it's a thing.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Two questions left, and I'll spin off that if the
- 39:50Speaker 1: Cowboys make a coaching change, which it seems inevitable they will,
- 39:54Speaker 1: would Jerry Jones hire someone like a Vrabel or a Belichick,
- 39:57Speaker 1: a big personality coach he does and have a long
- 40:00Speaker 1: left to live. That's a morbid thing to say. But
- 40:02Speaker 1: does he finally give up on having somebody he can control?
- 40:06Speaker 5: Well? I think also does Jerry want to start over?
- 40:08Speaker 5: Mike McCarthy's contracts up, so one way or another, Mike
- 40:11Speaker 5: and the Cowboys are going to have decisions to make
- 40:14Speaker 5: at the end of this thing. You know, if you
- 40:16Speaker 5: bring in, for instance, a Belichick, Bill's history and again
- 40:20Speaker 5: I think he's more meltable on this, But Bill's history
- 40:22Speaker 5: as been You set up a program a certain way,
- 40:25Speaker 5: and you're probably going to go down before you go up.
- 40:28Speaker 5: The Cowboys won twelve games each of the last three seasons.
- 40:31Speaker 5: This season for a variety of different reasons, including not
- 40:34Speaker 5: paying Cee Lambun til the last second, including not paying
- 40:37Speaker 5: Dak until the end, a bunch of different injuries here,
- 40:40Speaker 5: there have been circumstances. Does Jerry believe bringing in a
- 40:43Speaker 5: Belichick is going to help him win right away? Whatever
- 40:45Speaker 5: he thinks can get them put one more trophy in
- 40:49Speaker 5: the case. I believe to your point, that's what Jerry's
- 40:52Speaker 5: going to want to do. Having said that, the idea
- 40:55Speaker 5: of Bill Belichick being the head coach of the Cowboys
- 40:59Speaker 5: and after game is fird. He walks to the podium
- 41:02Speaker 5: and he wants to give his usual three word answers,
- 41:04Speaker 5: and someone's like, yeah, Jerry's out in the hall questioning
- 41:07Speaker 5: that third down defense you called there. What do you
- 41:09Speaker 5: think Bill's head would explode? I just I can't imagine
- 41:13Speaker 5: that he'd want to be in that type of an environment.
- 41:15Speaker 5: But if that's you know, if that's the best place,
- 41:18Speaker 5: and if they can figure it out, hey, we're just
- 41:20Speaker 5: gonna make our egos come together for the next couple
- 41:23Speaker 5: of years. You rule nothing out. I don't personally believe
- 41:26Speaker 5: that's a great fit for anybody involved, but until the
- 41:29Speaker 5: Cowboys figure out their plan for twenty twenty five, anything's possible.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Last question, and I know you're a Minnesota guy, what's
- 41:35Speaker 1: up with JJ McCarthy. Obviously not playing injured, but what like,
- 41:37Speaker 1: what's the future there at quarterback in Minnesota.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Well, the first thing you got to ask yourself is,
- 41:42Speaker 5: you know JJ McCarthy's health, because he did have the
- 41:45Speaker 5: additional procedure they called it a biologic injection, which I
- 41:49Speaker 5: think gives people a bunch of like images of aliens
- 41:52Speaker 5: and stuff. Now it's this comment treatment's PRP and things
- 41:55Speaker 5: that they do to promote healing. He had some swelling
- 41:59Speaker 5: when he was going through his rehab, you know, as
- 42:01Speaker 5: they kind of were increasing the load on thene that
- 42:03Speaker 5: he had the meniscus repaired, in my understanding, is pretty
- 42:06Speaker 5: minor procedure, no impact on the timeline, should be back
- 42:09Speaker 5: for twenty twenty five. Flip side of that, Sam Donald,
- 42:12Speaker 5: even though we've seen a little more of the bad
- 42:15Speaker 5: Sam Donald here in recent weeks, he's still played by
- 42:17Speaker 5: a large at a high level, and I would think,
- 42:20Speaker 5: you know, there's really no precedent for a rookie quarterback
- 42:23Speaker 5: to miss an entire season because of injury. There've been
- 42:26Speaker 5: guys who have sacked, but that's a whole year reps
- 42:28Speaker 5: that JJ McCarthy is missing out on. Even though Kevin
- 42:31Speaker 5: O'Connell said, like two days after he got hurt, you know,
- 42:33Speaker 5: we've seen enough. We know JJ's gonna be our quarterback
- 42:35Speaker 5: of the future. I don't take that to mean he's
- 42:38Speaker 5: gonna be QB one and we're just gonna have some
- 42:41Speaker 5: young backup or you know, the Joe Flacco's the world
- 42:43Speaker 5: behind it. I think you have to go into twenty
- 42:45Speaker 5: twenty five with another plan, if for no other reason
- 42:49Speaker 5: than to ease the pressure on JJ McCarthy's he's coming
- 42:53Speaker 5: off of a major surgery to get back in you know,
- 42:57Speaker 5: and up and running quickly here. So what's going to
- 42:59Speaker 5: cost if Sam Darnald is that guy? And I would
- 43:02Speaker 5: certainly think, you know again, if he's given the opportunity, Hey,
- 43:05Speaker 5: you're going to come in here, You're gonna be the
- 43:06Speaker 5: guy at the front of the line. We're playing on
- 43:08Speaker 5: you starting until JJ's ready. I would think Sam Darnald
- 43:10Speaker 5: would love to be back. Is that something in the
- 43:12Speaker 5: neighborhood of you know, is it the Baker Mayfield contract
- 43:16Speaker 5: from two years ago which was one year, five millions?
- 43:19Speaker 5: Kind of like Donald's deal? I think is one year
- 43:21Speaker 5: ten million this year? Or is closer to the Baker
- 43:23Speaker 5: Mayfield deal he got this past March after one year
- 43:25Speaker 5: in Tampa, which was three years for seventy five It's
- 43:28Speaker 5: probably the latter. There's not enough quarterbacks in the league.
- 43:32Speaker 5: Are the Vikings willing to spend that type of money
- 43:35Speaker 5: to bring Donald back? I would certainly think that they
- 43:37Speaker 5: have a plan for it. I just Jaj McCarthy is
- 43:40Speaker 5: the future in Minnesota. Does that future mean Week one
- 43:43Speaker 5: to twenty twenty five.
- 43:44Speaker 1: TVD we were talking about before you came out on
- 43:46Speaker 1: how get a job you do on NFL Network? That's
- 43:47Speaker 1: a great you guys do a great job on the show,
- 43:49Speaker 1: So congratulations on that. You do. Awesome feeling and for
- 43:52Speaker 1: rich is isant when he's gone, like, You're like the
- 43:54Speaker 1: only guest host on any podcast I listened to that
- 43:56Speaker 1: I will actually listen to mostly I'm like, I listen
- 43:58Speaker 1: to a podcast for the person, but when you're on,
- 44:00Speaker 1: you kill it, and you guys will put his social
- 44:03Speaker 1: handles down in the notes as well. Tom, thank you
- 44:05Speaker 1: for the time.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Man.
- 44:06Speaker 1: I'm a massive fan, you know, more than anybody else
- 44:08Speaker 1: period in football, and we're so happy you spend some
- 44:10Speaker 1: time with this man. Thank you well.
- 44:11Speaker 5: Bobby. Next time you're making an album or a TV show,
- 44:14Speaker 5: or writing a book or one of your many other products,
- 44:16Speaker 5: you need to fill in on the Bobby Bows Podcast.
- 44:18Speaker 2: It's you, you know it is, all right, Tom, see
- 44:20Speaker 2: about it?
- 44:21Speaker 1: All right? A couple of things. Let's talk about the
- 44:22Speaker 1: Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight. One, what's our level of carrying?
- 44:26Speaker 1: George bursh ten means you wouldn't miss it for anything
- 44:29Speaker 1: in the world. One means huh Tyson, Paul, how much
- 44:31Speaker 1: do you care?
- 44:33Speaker 2: I am excited. I've been watching. I actually spent an
- 44:36Speaker 2: hour when I should have been going to bed watching
- 44:38Speaker 2: Mike Tyson hype videos last night of his new training routine.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Oh wait, yeah, so he's moving really well for what
- 44:45Speaker 2: is he fifty six year old? Something like that, Yeah,
- 44:48Speaker 2: fifty six fifty eight. Maybe he's he's up there, but
- 44:50Speaker 2: I mean the sound the bag makes when that fist
- 44:53Speaker 2: hits it is I mean, you take one shot and
- 44:55Speaker 2: you're gone. Now, the thing that's taking my interest level
- 44:58Speaker 2: down a little bit is it sounds it. They're like,
- 45:00Speaker 2: there's some kind of kitchy rules in there.
- 45:02Speaker 1: The gloves are a little softer, two ounces, the rounds
- 45:06Speaker 1: are instead of three minute rounds or two minute rounds.
- 45:09Speaker 1: What's what I like about it, though, because you're right,
- 45:12Speaker 1: they did soften it a bit to make it not
- 45:15Speaker 1: feel like a boring boxing match that we're going to
- 45:18Speaker 1: see on showtime. If happened to go across showtime for
- 45:20Speaker 1: two guys I've never.
- 45:21Speaker 3: Heard of in the middle of the night.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Yeah, because that's kind of the only time I've ever
- 45:23Speaker 1: seen boxing anymore. Is that it is it does count
- 45:28Speaker 1: on your record. Because at first it wasn't counting, and
- 45:31Speaker 1: people were like, we don't care because you're going to
- 45:33Speaker 1: throw it. Fix it, make it entertainment because it's pure.
- 45:37Speaker 1: It might as well be wwe if it doesn't count.
- 45:40Speaker 3: But it does.
- 45:40Speaker 1: They've said it does count on your record, and because
- 45:43Speaker 1: of that, that interests.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Me a bit. Sure, I think the other cool thing is,
- 45:48Speaker 2: and it might be wrong, but I don't think he's
- 45:50Speaker 2: ever boxed anybody with the hitting power of Tyson, so
- 45:56Speaker 2: you know, he's been able to kind of get inside,
- 45:59Speaker 2: keep his hand up and kind of just crowd the
- 46:01Speaker 2: other boxer every match so far and kind of just
- 46:04Speaker 2: wear people out. He does a lot of hugging in
- 46:07Speaker 2: there kind of And I think Tyson has enough power
- 46:09Speaker 2: where you know, he throws a couple of shots and
- 46:11Speaker 2: can kind of knock him on his heels, And it'd
- 46:13Speaker 2: be fun to see him get knocked out. I'll say that.
- 46:14Speaker 1: It would be fun. Yeah, it'd be fun to see either.
- 46:18Speaker 1: The best scenario would be Paul to get knocked out.
- 46:22Speaker 1: The second best scenario would be see Mike Tyson get
- 46:24Speaker 1: knocked out because you just know they were trying then,
- 46:27Speaker 1: and which is also.
- 46:28Speaker 2: I mean, he's huge, Jake Paul has gotten Yeah, Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 1: And I don't want Mike Tyson get knocked out. But
- 46:34Speaker 1: if that happens, then you know they were really trying. Yeah,
- 46:36Speaker 1: otherwise they're brother in law each other.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I just don't want to see the Mayweather fight over again,
- 46:41Speaker 2: you know what I mean? And that was yeah, I
- 46:43Speaker 2: think yeah, and we all kind of felt like we
- 46:45Speaker 2: wasted our time watching that.
- 46:47Speaker 8: It was just.
- 46:49Speaker 4: As Gregor, who did McGregor fight Mayweather? They boxed, he
- 46:53Speaker 4: boxed them, He would try to hammer fit them and everything.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Which, honestly, I felt like it was pretty noble of
- 46:58Speaker 2: McGregor to get out of his comfort and his own
- 47:02Speaker 2: like pretty respectively. Yeah, I'll be he's on the beach
- 47:05Speaker 2: with bottle service now. But Gregory is chilling.
- 47:07Speaker 3: He threw a couple of kicks in there too. They're like, yeah,
- 47:10Speaker 3: the breaks.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Here we go, both fighters. We'll wearing fourteen ounce gloves
- 47:13Speaker 1: instead of the ten ounce gloves. Each round will be
- 47:15Speaker 1: two minutes rather than three to fight a schedule to
- 47:17Speaker 1: go eight rounds instead of ten. So yes, they have
- 47:20Speaker 1: modified it to make it a bit more uh stimulating
- 47:24Speaker 1: for not the common boxing fan, for like us who
- 47:28Speaker 1: will take two minutes. We'll take a little puffy your gloves.
- 47:30Speaker 1: We don't need as many rounds, like just go hit
- 47:32Speaker 1: each other. Also, I wish they would do it, but
- 47:34Speaker 1: those big, big, real big gloves, like one round, yeah,
- 47:37Speaker 1: like round five, those gigantic gloves.
- 47:40Speaker 3: That'd be awesome.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Yeah, but like randomly draw one number which round this
- 47:44Speaker 1: is the round they put on those those gloves hulcanes. Yeah, yes,
- 47:47Speaker 1: that kind of thing, that would be awesome, Uh do
- 47:51Speaker 1: we think and let's just go around there and do
- 47:53Speaker 1: you think it will be a legitimate fight, meaning they're
- 47:55Speaker 1: both gonna try as hard as they can.
- 47:56Speaker 2: George, I don't think that Tyson is training like he
- 48:00Speaker 2: is to not go in there and and mail it in.
- 48:02Speaker 2: I think he's gonna I think he's going in there
- 48:05Speaker 2: with the goal of knocking him out.
- 48:06Speaker 7: No, I don't think it will be. I think we've
- 48:08Speaker 7: seen this too many times in the last decade. I'm like,
- 48:10Speaker 7: I just I'm not falling for this one. I can't
- 48:11Speaker 7: do it.
- 48:14Speaker 1: They have conditioned us to not be to not believe it.
- 48:16Speaker 1: I mean they've conditioned because like weird things. Uh, casey.
- 48:20Speaker 8: I agree with Georgia that I think Tyson is putting
- 48:22Speaker 8: a lot of work in that at least he's taking
- 48:24Speaker 8: it seriously.
- 48:24Speaker 3: I don't know about you.
- 48:25Speaker 2: You're talking about a guy that bit another dude's ear off, Like,
- 48:27Speaker 2: it's not like he has a governor. I was watching
- 48:29Speaker 2: him talk and he was like, I don't like I
- 48:32Speaker 2: don't like who I who have to turn into when
- 48:34Speaker 2: I train. I try to not be that guy. But
- 48:36Speaker 2: and the whole time I was trying not to be
- 48:37Speaker 2: that guy, and I'm training, but now I'm that guy.
- 48:39Speaker 2: I don't like me that's scared of himself. I never
- 48:44Speaker 2: wanted to be I never want to even be me
- 48:46Speaker 2: and I am.
- 48:48Speaker 6: I unfortunately think it's gonna be a situation where, uh,
- 48:52Speaker 6: he's just it, Jake's gonna barely win it at the end,
- 48:57Speaker 6: and Mike's gonna just pass the crown. I don't think
- 48:59Speaker 6: Mike would go into it knowing that he would get
- 49:02Speaker 6: knocked out or that it would just be an insane
- 49:05Speaker 6: fight to where Jake wins. But I think you.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Think it's already gonna be in their mind they know
- 49:10Speaker 1: the ending. I think so do you think if it's well,
- 49:13Speaker 1: it's a it's a real sanction fight. So I don't
- 49:15Speaker 1: know the judges are, but the fact that it's actually
- 49:18Speaker 1: sanction makes me feel like they can't cheat that much
- 49:20Speaker 1: openly or like ruin the credibility of the people. But
- 49:22Speaker 1: you even in like the real fights, it seems like
- 49:24Speaker 1: they're cheating, like that's it's a sport where true.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I have a question, what does Mike's bank account look like?
- 49:28Speaker 2: Does he need the money or is.
- 49:30Speaker 1: It like here's why I would I would like to
- 49:34Speaker 1: give a semi educated answer on that. What do you
- 49:36Speaker 1: guys think first, I.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Think he could use it. He can use some money.
- 49:40Speaker 3: Maybe the funds are a little low.
- 49:42Speaker 1: But what does that mean, like he only has some
- 49:43Speaker 1: millions or he's.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Broke only some millions and would like some more.
- 49:48Speaker 2: That, Yeah, that would be my guess.
- 49:50Speaker 1: I know that they paid him what was rumored to
- 49:53Speaker 1: be twenty thousand dollars to come here to do a
- 49:57Speaker 1: signing at a sports card thing where he came for
- 49:59Speaker 1: the day and signed and like he flew here to
- 50:02Speaker 1: do and that I thought that was extremely low.
- 50:06Speaker 3: Yeah, twenty grand.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say that he came.
- 50:08Speaker 1: He didn't fly private, he flew, They paid for his flight.
- 50:11Speaker 1: He flies over, stays in a hotel, signs for twenty
- 50:14Speaker 1: then that's a lot of money. But I'm saying for him,
- 50:16Speaker 1: so if he's gonna do that, I would think he
- 50:18Speaker 1: does not have a humongous nest egg that he's like, I'm.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Rich, I'm good either way. He's not poor.
- 50:24Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's poor, but I would have thought
- 50:26Speaker 1: for like the Tyson that as legendary as he is,
- 50:28Speaker 1: it's like one hundred thousand bucks to get him to
- 50:30Speaker 1: go anywhere. Yeah, yeah, but he flew commercial made twenty grand.
- 50:34Speaker 1: That's very interesting, and that's why that's the only reason
- 50:36Speaker 1: I feel the way that I.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Do have They revealed the money for this fight.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Would you google that?
- 50:41Speaker 10: He was paid around twenty million? Who was Mike Tyson
- 50:44Speaker 10: was paid around twenty million and at one point he
- 50:45Speaker 10: had a net worth of four hundred million, then he
- 50:47Speaker 10: went broke.
- 50:49Speaker 8: He's worth about he works about ten million.
- 50:51Speaker 2: Ten was going to be my guess.
- 50:52Speaker 6: Yeah, he's still getting paid for him hangover.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Probably those little checks. I get a little originuals and bandslams.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I'm sure he by the way, thank you very much.
- 51:00Speaker 2: I appreciate that.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Okay, championship odds NCAA football number one Ohio State, number
- 51:06Speaker 1: two Oregon. They'll have to play each other most likely,
- 51:10Speaker 1: if Ohio State beats Indiana, they'll play each other again
- 51:13Speaker 1: in the championship game. Right, it'd be awesome if Indiana
- 51:16Speaker 1: beat Ohio State. I have a bad feeling that Indiana
- 51:18Speaker 1: is about to have to learn a quick lesson and hey,
- 51:22Speaker 1: that's cute, but I want them to beat Ohio State.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It's not this week anyway, it's next week, right, right, And.
- 51:28Speaker 3: I mean, Ohio State has to get through Northwestern first
- 51:31Speaker 3: the same.
- 51:34Speaker 1: And a half, Texas at three, Georgia at four, Ole
- 51:39Speaker 1: miss and Alabama both at five plus one thousand. I mean,
- 51:41Speaker 1: my money's on Alabama. It was before this last win.
- 51:45Speaker 1: My money's on Alabama. What's going to be crazy is
- 51:47Speaker 1: Georgia misses, and like Georgia is going to be a
- 51:50Speaker 1: better team than my Notre Dame has an ugly loss.
- 51:56Speaker 1: That Northern Mill loss is the ugliest of anybody that's
- 51:59Speaker 1: even in consideration to be the College four playoffs. That's
- 52:01Speaker 1: an ugly loss at home too, that's the worst loss.
- 52:05Speaker 1: Georgia is easily better than Notre Dame, Indiana, Miami, Clemson s.
- 52:11Speaker 1: They're better than almost everybody quickly without even there're being consideration.
- 52:18Speaker 1: And they may miss the playoff.
- 52:20Speaker 3: That's wild.
- 52:22Speaker 2: That's wild.
- 52:24Speaker 8: I alway say, it doesn't even make sense.
- 52:25Speaker 1: I also love the playoff.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Like some they were like old, we hate to playoff.
- 52:28Speaker 2: It's going to make it.
- 52:29Speaker 1: It's it's amazing. There's so many games that matter now,
- 52:33Speaker 1: like in the grand scheme of winning a National chang
- 52:35Speaker 1: it's the greatest thing.
- 52:36Speaker 4: But what's crazy is people are still going to be
- 52:38Speaker 4: upset even though they're twelve, But.
- 52:40Speaker 1: It's so much easier to be upset about thirteen to
- 52:42Speaker 1: fourteen then three and four, sure, because there's a real
- 52:45Speaker 1: fight at three and four, especially last year with fust.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Just makes so many more games that matter, which is
- 52:50Speaker 2: so much fun to watch.
- 52:51Speaker 1: And if your thirteenth or fourteenth, buddy, that's on you, right,
- 52:54Speaker 1: that means you lost a couple of games.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that means you lost.
- 52:57Speaker 1: You could have lost one game and had an equal
- 52:59Speaker 1: wreck and not been the two team you know last
- 53:02Speaker 1: year is so it's made football so much better. Okay,
- 53:08Speaker 1: anything else I want to do here?
- 53:10Speaker 2: Mike? Do we need to go to one more break?
- 53:11Speaker 1: Yeah? It's good to one Mark, Okay, one more break.

- 54:40Speaker 1: Why it sucks?
- 54:41Speaker 2: Hey, I get it. I know, I hate it. It sucks.
- 54:44Speaker 7: Are you going or no?
- 54:46Speaker 2: I wasn't, but you are now.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I might. I hate losing. I hate losing to Texas.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I hate losing to Texas and then being trapped and
- 55:05Speaker 1: can't get out because it takes forever to get out
- 55:07Speaker 1: of that place because's no roads. So then you're just
- 55:09Speaker 1: like laying in your own stew It's like you you
- 55:11Speaker 1: peed in the bathtub with your bath water, and then
- 55:14Speaker 1: someone's holding you in there and you're like, well, there,
- 55:16Speaker 1: I gotta stand this peede bathwater.
- 55:18Speaker 3: It's a terrible Now have you done that before? Dude?
- 55:20Speaker 1: It's a hypothetical that just came description. I I hate
- 55:27Speaker 1: I hate Texas, hate everything about school. I wish they
- 55:31Speaker 1: would disappear, which they'd break it up and send it
- 55:32Speaker 1: to the other school.
- 55:34Speaker 2: I said that.
- 55:36Speaker 1: It's out of respect though, because Texts has more money,
- 55:39Speaker 1: they win more than us. The colors aren't cooler, but
- 55:42Speaker 1: they do have their own color that they own and
- 55:44Speaker 1: that's pretty cool. But I was not going to go
- 55:48Speaker 1: because I didn't want to just go and take the
- 55:49Speaker 1: beating man.
- 55:50Speaker 2: I think we might do it. I think you'll have
- 55:53Speaker 2: a real football team. For one, I think that it
- 55:56Speaker 2: would we don't have for one, for my first point.
- 56:02Speaker 2: For two, let me roll this list out here. Really,
- 56:08Speaker 2: I think we are healthier than we have been and
- 56:11Speaker 2: for the first time in a second, Texas looked pretty
- 56:13Speaker 2: strong last week. I think it's gonna be a football game.
- 56:17Speaker 2: I do think it will be uh not a blow
- 56:19Speaker 2: away either way, and I'll be exciting to watch. The
- 56:21Speaker 2: last time we played you guys, I was like two
- 56:23Speaker 2: years three year ago.
- 56:24Speaker 3: I was there.
- 56:24Speaker 1: It was awesome. Were storm on the field after I did,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and I was up in the sweet and worry about me.
- 56:27Speaker 2: I forgot care.
- 56:27Speaker 3: You're older now, yeah, you're older?
- 56:29Speaker 2: Black that out.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Oh no, that was three years ago. I was like
- 56:32Speaker 1: maybe two years ago.
- 56:33Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 56:33Speaker 3: I got it.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I was up in Sweet. It was awesome.
- 56:37Speaker 1: And then you guys ended up not having a great year.
- 56:38Speaker 1: It was it was his first year coaching, so you
- 56:41Speaker 1: guys want like six to six that year.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Stark's been really good for the program. It's been cool
- 56:44Speaker 2: to see him turn around just everything now. Yeah, because
- 56:48Speaker 2: I mean, you talk about Texas having tournament last year
- 56:50Speaker 2: with four teams. You talk about Texas having money and
- 56:53Speaker 2: a brand and everything. I mean, we could do whatever
- 56:55Speaker 2: we wanted, but we could not win. I mean that
- 56:58Speaker 2: was a ten year stretch where were his head coach
- 57:00Speaker 2: after head coach seasons that were not up to Texas standards.
- 57:03Speaker 2: So to see him turning that program all the way around, Yeah,
- 57:06Speaker 2: it's exciting to be a long worn fan again. I
- 57:08Speaker 2: hope you lose so bad, but I hope that is
- 57:11Speaker 2: there a team that you just want to get beat
- 57:14Speaker 2: by whomever they play, Like, who is that team for Chris?
- 57:17Speaker 2: Texas Tech UK For me, you hate the tack when
- 57:20Speaker 2: they throw the tortillas on the fields after they went
- 57:23Speaker 2: and when they killed our national championship hopes crab Tree
- 57:29Speaker 2: that was Halloween that and then to watch the tortillas
- 57:33Speaker 2: and all, I mean it was it hurt.
- 57:36Speaker 1: That was such a crack. I mean, so that's it's
- 57:40Speaker 1: sexist Tech. Yeah, do that crabs your catch like at
- 57:42Speaker 1: the sideline and then oh my god. And then it
- 57:46Speaker 1: was in Lubbock. Yeah, and they went berserk and sexts
- 57:50Speaker 1: of everything. Yeah, alone, he's got tortillas, just ready to get.
- 58:00Speaker 2: This Texas obviously Kevin, who's yours.
- 58:01Speaker 9: Mine's gonna be usc Growing up in Sunday, California when
- 58:04Speaker 9: they were good in the early two thousands, couldn't stand
- 58:06Speaker 9: their fans, couldn't stand here and about them. The same
- 58:08Speaker 9: thing as you kind of with Texas, where they were
- 58:09Speaker 9: always winning, always on top, and it just got annoying.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I would even put for a long time the Cardinals
- 58:14Speaker 1: baseball team up there because I'm such a Cups fan.
- 58:16Speaker 1: But then I became an adult, and then you realize
- 58:19Speaker 1: in professional sports they just kind of go where they'll
- 58:22Speaker 1: pay you. Now it's that way in college too, but
- 58:24Speaker 1: there's something about there's still like a little bit of
- 58:27Speaker 1: romance about college and they're going to school and they
- 58:29Speaker 1: have books.
- 58:30Speaker 2: You know, Yeah, so out of you.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm not jumping on your bandwagon, but I'm gonna
- 58:36Speaker 4: go to Texas too, But for a whole other reason
- 58:37Speaker 4: because when I worked right next to the stadium, they'd
- 58:39Speaker 4: pee on my tires. All the tailgators they'd get drunk
- 58:42Speaker 4: and they'd pee on my tires. Have to tell me,
- 58:43Speaker 4: hey stop he there hated that crap.
- 58:46Speaker 2: That might have been me.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Before I knew George read.
- 58:51Speaker 6: I think just LSU mainly for my dad, and my
- 58:54Speaker 6: dad hated LSU fans. I just feel like the LSU
- 58:58Speaker 6: fans are so obnoxious in the sense they're the type
- 59:00Speaker 6: of people that would go to NFL game and wear
- 59:02Speaker 6: l s U jerseys. They're just like they're just gonna
- 59:07Speaker 6: cake everything.
- 59:07Speaker 2: They have their house, their walls.
- 59:09Speaker 6: With LSU stuff, their cars literally.
- 59:12Speaker 1: True, that's true. Gotta respect a super fan because if
- 59:15Speaker 1: you're gonna hate them, you're only hating them because you
- 59:17Speaker 1: respect them.
- 59:17Speaker 4: I feel like I see a lot of role tide,
- 59:19Speaker 4: especially around Nashville.
- 59:20Speaker 2: And the more they there's a lot of bandwagon roll tide.
- 59:23Speaker 2: I gotta say, people that you know, saw Alabama winning
- 59:25Speaker 2: for years and years and kind of just you know,
- 59:27Speaker 2: maybe didn't go to school there, maybe didn't even grow
- 59:29Speaker 2: up in Alabama, but they wanted to be a part
- 59:30Speaker 2: of a winning program. But that that's my issue with
- 59:33Speaker 2: Bama is there's so much bandwagon roll tide, and might
- 59:35Speaker 2: put up a bandwagon Tennessee. I know one, they one
- 59:42Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 59:43Speaker 7: Yeah they one over here.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Casey, who do you hate?
- 59:45Speaker 8: Wells is more of a basketball school. So North Carolina
- 59:49Speaker 8: is the team that we don't like NFL wise, Uh
- 59:52Speaker 8: the Pats, Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah.
- 59:57Speaker 1: If I if I were the Jets or the Giant anywhere,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: any of the Northeast things, I would freaking hate you
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: guys just for all the winning you did. But most
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: of the Jets.
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: Yeah yeah, yeah, that sucks.
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: That's fair because you guess, man, I.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Think some of the Pat's hate has gone away with
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: kind of the fall from Grace.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a little reluctant. It's a little different.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: Why would we hate a loser?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: There's nothing to hate.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Well, I never hated the Chiefs until the last three years, right,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: you just get annoyed by them because they went all
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: the time. Although I don't hate the Chiefs, I didn't
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: hate the Patriots. I like I rooted for the Patriots.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I wasn't, I wasn't a fan, but yeah, I liked.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: I liked dynasties because they're rare, and I thought it
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: was so cool that we would see something. I love consistency.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: It doesn't matter what it's in. I mean, we were
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: seeing consistency and just winning. Got lucky to see Lebron,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: got lucky to see Jordan, got lucky to see the Patriots.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: There are a few of those. We didn't really get
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: to see the Lakers do that. That was kind of
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: we were Wait, we're too young for that. But Jack
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: and Kobe, I know, I'm talking about winning all the champions.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Do you say the Patriots like the Celtics and Lakers
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: against each other?
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: You say the Patriots are Tom Brady the Patriots, Eddie.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: This is helping me kind of understand your attitude towards
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: me lately as well.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Oh boy, hey, as a Cowboys a dynasty and he
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: is as a Cowboys fan, George, Like, who do you hate?
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: I would say probably the Eagles was always a tough
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: one for us. Their fans love to rub our noses
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: in it. Yeah, Commanders are tough for us too.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: Yeah, what about the Niners.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: Never really had a problem with the Niners.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he's too young to see the Super bowls, Anty
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: championship games.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: He missed us a while.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: All Right, I think we're done here. Good luck to
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: all your teams, Casey, you're done.
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: I'm done.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Yeah, Jets, you.
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: Know, but the Jets are gonna win this game just
- 1:01:43Speaker 8: to screw over the draft order thing, because.
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: That's like kind of how they roll, Eddie bones you
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: don't think the Cowboys are done.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I do now, yeah, when we're done, right, I thought
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: if you could win, if you could win last week
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I thought. I also I was thinking Cooper Rush would
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: be a little better.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: Honestly, I think it was not.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: It was hard to watch. Yeah, yeah, just based on
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the year before. Is it a lot year before? You
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: want two years?
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: And now I know now they're blaming it on the
- 1:02:05Speaker 8: sunlight in the stadium too.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Yeah, me too, That's why I saw.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: But you know they're the Monday night game this week,
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: and it's like, great, my Monday's wasted in the.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Battle of Texas. Do you want them to play Trey Lance?
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: Sure, let's I mean, let's let's are you are you
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: want them to start him?
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: Let's see what he can do as a starter. I
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: would love that, I agree.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: But are you doing that so you can see what
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: he can do? Or are you doing that because you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: know what he can do and you'd rather just lose
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: and get a better draft. No?
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: No, no, I want to see what he can do because
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: I mean, he does have a different game than Dak.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Dak can't run the ball. So Trey Lance with the
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: little weak offensive line that we have. He could make
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: something out of it, and I'd like to see it.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: If that's even possible, I guess.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: And Trey Lance can't throw the ball, so like if
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: you combine their powers, you'd have an actual quarterbacke. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: look at that. Uh do you guys follow George? Is
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: it just at George Burge?
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: At George Burge.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: We'll put in the notes. Where are you going today?
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: I am headed out to Uh we're taking the bus
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: out tonight, but we're headed out just around Chicago. Yeah,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: playing shows, playing a little private show out there.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Yeah see hey, yeah, superstars play private shows.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: You know who doesn't get it asked through private shows?
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: Not superstars like us. Normies don't.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Normies don't get asked to do that. Who does superstars? Right?
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: Uh?
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Congratulations George, thank you for being on with us. You
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: guys go follow George And I hope Barkets'll beat Texas,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: But I have no expectation. But if I'm there, just
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: know I had expectation.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: Proud to be an honorary whistler today. And yeah, how's
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: ever read? Are you sick?
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: I got a little stuff in this going.
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: Do you hear that?
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: What's up?
- 1:03:31Speaker 6: I don't know. Morgan had it on the plane. Yeah,
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: so I don't know if I got it from her.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Or wasn't Bobby on the plane too.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you should record some music while your voice is
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: like that. Man, it's got smoke to it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: No, okay, does he sound sick.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: No, but he's been. I know what it's like to
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: travel all the freaking time. And and even when I
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: text him, I was like, hey, come up, because I
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: was like, are you in town? He goes for just
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: a few hours whatever. I was like, never mind, if
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you want to come up. He goes, I'm in No.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I said, dude, I love you, so I would rather
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you not come in now because I know you're gonna
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: be exhausted. And he goes, no, I'm here, I'm coming up.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I was like, okay, fine, I just know that sleeping
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: on a bus last.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Night was actually weird. I did a casino show, which
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: is like so easy for us. There's a million people
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: helping everything's backline and set up. It was all I
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: had to do was play four songs. I played four
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: songs and they gave me a box with a wedding cake.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: On the way out, They're like, hey, just take this,
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: And so I went up to my room and I
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: ate a half a wedding cake and watched Breen Mile
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: and fell asleep by ten o'clock. It was a really
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: good night movie. Weird, weirder than it should, like out
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: of nowhere. This is the first time I'd ever seen it,
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: and I had heard about it a million times. Great movie, yeah,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: but at one point you're like real weird.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: You're like, wow, this is really a really great time
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: piece of history. I really don't agree with how they
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: used to treat people. This is not good.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's so weird for those anything you
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: might have learned.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Yeah, like you're actually learning, like wow, why there are
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: certain aspects of our country that were not good? It's
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: certain and you're like, well, I'm taking this for a
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: good plug. Oh my god, that's too weird, and you
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: forget everything you just learned over the past hour and.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: Hap like my son was like that, what's another good
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Tom Hanks movie? Like, oh, we need to see Green Mile,
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: And then I thought, like, you know what, we don't you.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Get to pass on that week after watching that was
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: my first time to see it last night. I'm a
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Tom Hanks super fan. Right, Yeah, I wouldn't put that
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: one up at the top. Have you seen from the
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: TV show from No anybody else? Read?
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: No Reads the one who was so Caitlin says, last night,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: because we were recording a podcast, my wife never does anything,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: and she happened to come down and she owes me
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: some episodes from Losing Bets. I never cash him in,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: but she had walked down. It was just reading nine
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: in the studio because we were trying to go live
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: on YouTube, and she was like, hey, what's up.
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: So she sits down.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: I was like you, I said, you owe me some
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: episodes you want to go live? And she's like yeah
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: or whatever, and so I was surprised. So I take
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: advantage of it. And we're talking and she's like, you
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: know that we're talking about TV shows. She goes, I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: want to watch that show from and I'm like, I
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: never heard of it, and she's great at picking shows,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: and Read automatically gets a boner like yeah, that's weird,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: and we're like, we're like, what's that for?
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: And he goes from the show with the voice to.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: This, and so she had already been told it was
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: good and she was in and Read was like you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: will love it. And so we watched the first episode
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: last night.
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: Did you like it? I gotta admit it took me
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: like three episodes.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Oh no. After the first episode, I was like two
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: two things. I was like, I didn't want to be scared.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I hate scary stuff, pretty creepy. And at one point
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: there's something that happens or I go ah, I kind
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: of like that. I was like, we're not gonna make
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: it through this, are we. I didn't even watch Twilight
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: because I had nightmares.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: Plot on this from thing.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Don't spoil I can tell you only what I know
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: because I've only seen one episode. Because I don't feel
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: like I'm spoiling because I can't because I haven't seen anything. Yeah,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: by the way, I'm obsessed with going to watch the
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: next episode. If you want to know how my brain like,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: I cannot wait.
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: Well, you got two more seasons after.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: There's a small town, And what I know is when
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: it started to get dark, the sheriff walks through ringing
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: a bell to everybody get in the house. There's something
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that lives in the woods.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I'm in already.
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: Too.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Yeah, there's something that lives in the woods or may
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: not be the one. I don't know with one episode
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: that comes out and just's with people and they can
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: like apparently look like people you know or something when.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: You say trick you f with people like kill them?
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Yeah, what what platforms is on?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: We watch it on Amazon? Okay, but it says it's
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: on MGM plus and we're like, we don't have this one.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: I watch it on Amazon.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: You do? Yeah, yeah, so we're one.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: I can't. It's a feelish it read.
- 1:07:21Speaker 6: I'm all caught up, Like now I just gotta wait
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: on Sunday.
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: You can say, having made it through the whole thing,
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: like you were satisfied.
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: That dude that you watch. It's so good also, which
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: I love, like weird sci fi kind of kind of
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: shows too, and it's like a little bit of creepy,
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: a little bit of sci fi and like you just
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: keep showing your toes.
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: I love it.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: It's listed as a horror sci fi. The horror part's
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: tough for me. If they just would have said like
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: weird slash, like totally for me, weird horror okay, year
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: round or is it just like Halloween War at time?
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: Well horror whatever you want?
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Super Star.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Never for me. I don't like stray. Yeah, I don't
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: mind zombies because I feel like that could probably really happens.
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: I justify that scary stuff like you can think about
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: it for way too long after you watch it, which
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: I don't like.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: It consumes my life, Like I.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Like Jason Freddie, never watch any of that. I don't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: like scary stuff.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: That's not good.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: But I think generally, I don't know. I don't watch
