- 0:01If we look at the individual life as separate from the rest
- 0:05of the creation and claimed that it starts at Birth and ends at
- 0:10death, there seems to be no rationale or meaning for that
- 0:14life. Nor can we explain the
- 0:17evolutionary progression of awareness understanding growth
- 0:22and development that we see before us?
- 0:26We see a baby come into the world with very little outward
- 0:29capabilities without a developed language.
- 0:33And over time we see the child grow and go through phases or
- 0:37stages of development such that the physical body.
- 0:42The nervous envelope, the emotional being and the mind
- 0:47systematically develop as this occurs, the child changes, its
- 0:53focus and attention from its childish Pursuits.
- 0:56And moves into activities more suited to its current stage of
- 1:00development when the child reaches the onset of puberty
- 1:05sexual energies become active, which were latent previously.
- 1:10Then the individual turns in a majority of cases, to the
- 1:14development of family and career.
- 1:17At a certain stage, many people find that the interest in outer
- 1:21activities, begins to wane. The Indian tradition of the four
- 1:26stages of Life developed from this type of observation when
- 1:31the interest in the outer life, recedes the individual was
- 1:35encouraged to take up the life of a renunciate and turn towards
- 1:41spiritual seeking. The stages are Cycles at work
- 1:45here. However, begin in past lifetimes
- 1:48and develop over many lifetimes. Some individuals are born into
- 1:53their current life with highly developed capabilities and
- 1:57Spiritual Development already. Evident The Reincarnation of The
- 2:01Dalai Lama and the ability of the chosen.
- 2:04Monks to seek out and find the right Incarnation through
- 2:08unmistakable signs of recognition of items used in the
- 2:12prior lifetime. Is one such illustration.
- 2:17This process explains why some people move through the stages
- 2:21of development of Consciousness faster or slower in a particular
- 2:26lifetime. We also see the process of
- 2:30preparation in the way birth, take place that chicken will sit
- 2:35on an egg to keep it warm for a period of time until the chick
- 2:39inside is ready to break out and manifest itself in the world.
- 2:44Similarly, mammals including human beings.
- 2:48Nurture the fetus in the womb until it is ready to be born at
- 2:53the right time the birth process begins.
- 2:58The manifestation of the spiritual aspiration and the
- 3:02Turning of the attention to spiritual things is similar in
- 3:06many ways to these Cycles. It occurs.
- 3:10When there is a Readiness in the being and then there is
- 3:13sometimes a specific factor that breaks open the concealment and
- 3:18allows the soul to come forward. Thus, there is a combination of
- 3:23the Readiness of the soul and the pressure from the outside.
- 3:27So that creates the conditions for the spiritual aspiration to
- 3:32take hold in the individual for some this is simply a natural
- 3:37growth process for others. It may need a force applied such
- 3:42as some great sorrow or disillusionment in the
- 3:45accomplishments possible in the world 3 aurobindo observes
- 3:50quote, the greater and greater Awakening of Consciousness and
- 3:54it's climb to a higher and higher level.
- 3:57And a wider extent of its vision and action is the condition of
- 4:01our progress towards that Supreme and total Perfection,
- 4:05which is the aim of our existence.
- 4:09All yoga is in its nature and New Birth.
- 4:13It is a birth out of the ordinary, the mentalize material
- 4:18life of ma'am into a higher spiritual consciousness, and a
- 4:23greater and diviner being, no, yoga can be successfully,
- 4:28undertaken, and followed. Unless there is a strong
- 4:31Awakening to the necessity of that larger spiritual existence,
- 4:36the soul that is called to this deep and vast change.
- 4:40May arrive in different ways to the initial, ER, it may come to
- 4:45it by its own natural development, which has been
- 4:48leading it unconsciously towards the Awakening.
- 4:51It may reach it through the influence of a religion or the
- 4:55attraction of a philosophy. It may approach it by a slow
- 4:59illumination or leap to it by a sudden touch or shock.
- 5:04It may be pushed or LED to it by the pressure of outward
- 5:08circumstances or by an inward necessity bias.
- 5:13Single word that breaks the seals of the mind or by long
- 5:17Reflection by the distant example of one who has trod the
- 5:21path or by contact and daily influence, according to the
- 5:26nature and the circumstances the call will come in quote
