- 0:22Speaker 3: He's in a singing mood.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Today, that's right. Why just feeling the vibes.
- 0:28Speaker 2: The vibes are high.
- 0:29Speaker 1: The vibes are high. I'm on vacation.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Oh you are?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, where are you right now? Let me tell
- 0:40Speaker 1: you something. I am present. I'm gonna focus the next
- 0:43Speaker 1: seven days about being present in the moment.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yes, so that means what She's not sure.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not sure. But like one of the big
- 0:54Speaker 1: things is at night, I always go through like the
- 0:56Speaker 1: laundry list of the next day. Like I'm always like
- 0:58Speaker 1: hyper focused on like the next day and like the
- 1:00Speaker 1: to do list and stuff, and that's just going to
- 1:02Speaker 1: go out the window because you're off, that's right.
- 1:04Speaker 2: So you don't have a to do list, right, No,
- 1:06Speaker 2: Like when.
- 1:07Speaker 1: You're off, you're not really off, you know, like Sonny
- 1:09Speaker 1: has to go to the vets and you know what
- 1:10Speaker 1: I mean, all those little things on vacation, I am
- 1:13Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, I'm just saying, like, mentally, I want
- 1:16Speaker 1: to just be like free bird.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Where are you on vacation?
- 1:22Speaker 1: That's to be determined.
- 1:23Speaker 2: You're kidding me.
- 1:25Speaker 1: A little. Young young chicks just picking up and going
- 1:30Speaker 1: for the.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Where this energy? This time?
- 1:33Speaker 3: We don't know where you're going.
- 1:34Speaker 1: To be, So to be fair, we did not get
- 1:36Speaker 1: our vacation schedule from Ryan about a week ago, so
- 1:40Speaker 1: I've had about a week to figure it out. So
- 1:43Speaker 1: that's kind of where we're at. And I was sick
- 1:45Speaker 1: and was down, and so that's just where we are.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It is Becka Energy.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But I'm ember, what are the options.
- 1:55Speaker 3: It's globe, Yeah, I.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Mean globe, spin, spin the what are those things going?
- 2:00Speaker 3: I'm going to find something that gives me a random
- 2:02Speaker 3: location in the world.
- 2:03Speaker 1: In the Globe's let's see.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, what does that mean?
- 2:08Speaker 1: You know you never know what was keeping you on
- 2:10Speaker 1: your toes.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I'll just check your location.
- 2:14Speaker 1: That's right, you have my location. You never check my location.
- 2:17Speaker 2: That's kind of sad you don't check mine either.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I do. I checked it on the way in
- 2:21Speaker 1: today when I was on the one on one to
- 2:23Speaker 1: see how far back you were and you hadn't left
- 2:25Speaker 1: your house.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yet but aside, you literally never use it. You're always
- 2:29Speaker 2: like where are you, who are you with? What are
- 2:31Speaker 2: you doing? And I'm like, check the location.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Well, the location doesn't tell me who you're with.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Which is fine, you don't need to.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Which that's a feature. I would like them to add,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if I'm being honest, you won't.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Get removed so bad.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Apparently snapchat has that feature.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Well they have snap maps.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah, snap maps.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Multiple people you follow it together, you'd be able to see.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and like apparently a lot of kids feel left
- 2:52Speaker 1: out from it.
- 2:56Speaker 3: To generate a random place, and this is where you'll go.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Here we go, Oh, Spain in Spain, In Spain, here's
- 3:05Speaker 3: another one. France.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Oh, what are the contenders right now?
- 3:16Speaker 1: Greece in Hawaii?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Oh wow?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Directions yes, correct, correct, Just depends on how ambitious we're feeling,
- 3:24Speaker 1: Like the day of no, no, no hopefully. Yeah, I've
- 3:31Speaker 1: never done that before.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's kind of like the same.
- 3:35Speaker 1: True, I feel like Becca's done that before.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I haven't, but I would love to m I added,
- 3:39Speaker 2: as like a content content idea.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Yeah, just show up to the airport and see what's
- 3:45Speaker 1: available and then just go and go, but pack something
- 3:49Speaker 1: that I could wear.
- 3:50Speaker 2: You know, Greece and Hawaii probably are the same vibes,
- 3:52Speaker 2: not vibes, same weather weather.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Correct.
- 3:55Speaker 3: The Scandinavian Airlines announced recently that you can pay like
- 3:58Speaker 3: a thousand bucks or something like that and they'm just
- 4:00Speaker 3: going to send you somewhere and you won't know until
- 4:02Speaker 3: you're on the plane.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was gonna say, I feel like I've
- 4:04Speaker 1: heard about this.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that's I don't know a lot of people.
- 4:08Speaker 1: That's so crazy.
- 4:09Speaker 2: There's a lot of a lot of adventurers out there.
- 4:12Speaker 4: What if you do it? It's like Branson, Missouri.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Like you're, well, it's the Vegas of the Midwest.
- 4:17Speaker 4: That's right here.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah, is that really what it is?
- 4:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:20Speaker 4: Oh wow yeah wow.
- 4:25Speaker 2: No, that's not somewhere I necessarily want to go. But
- 4:28Speaker 2: that's a very adventurous spirit to do that. I don't
- 4:31Speaker 2: even think I would like to do that really. Yeah.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It feels like really rolling the dice.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I like the idea of packing for something for a
- 4:37Speaker 2: type of weather and then getting to the airport and
- 4:39Speaker 2: being like we're going here, but knowing that I have
- 4:42Speaker 2: all the things I need.
- 4:43Speaker 1: That's so I'll tell Haley that would you like me
- 4:45Speaker 1: to pass that message along.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I don't know if she would like that.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh well, no, she would know, she would plan it.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Oh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's fine. I'll let her know. Okay,
- 4:54Speaker 2: I get to see her tomorrow.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Wow, finally today I.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Did I did you guys? Three weeks?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Did you do it? Because we don't know. We only
- 5:04Speaker 3: see you here for all we know. You're in a
- 5:05Speaker 3: fetal position.
- 5:06Speaker 1: The other twenty vertical, horizontal, I.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Would say, stretched out and tall?
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah whatever, yeah yeah, like she's on stilts. She's walking
- 5:18Speaker 1: around like Orange County still.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no spirals this time. Proud of you, thank you.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Yeah, we made it.
- 5:30Speaker 2: We did it, We did it, Joe. Yeah. So I'm
- 5:37Speaker 2: going up tomorrow to see her. It's just for the
- 5:40Speaker 2: weekend and then she'll be back. She has a week
- 5:43Speaker 2: and then she'll be back the next week.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Oh so that's it. Like we're the line.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Let's say we're on the mile twenty twenty three of
- 5:56Speaker 2: a marathon. My wait, it's twenty six point two.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, okay, it's like.
- 6:01Speaker 2: The end, like you're you're struggling, but you know you're
- 6:04Speaker 2: gonna make it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're there.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So I leave tomorrow, I gotta get Phoebe
- 6:10Speaker 2: to Newport with my sister.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah, all the things.
- 6:13Speaker 2: What's to do today?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah, busy gal busy gal in the moon booked and
- 6:17Speaker 1: busy booked him, busy all the time.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's a little bit about me.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Well, you know who I saw yesterday. And I have
- 6:27Speaker 1: to tell you, I like, I think I'm maturing quite
- 6:30Speaker 1: nicely in my age. As I'm aging, I feel as
- 6:33Speaker 1: though things I would have done when I was, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: twenty five, I can hold back on in my elder years.
- 6:42Speaker 2: So I have no idea what what's coming out of
- 6:45Speaker 2: your mouth right now?
- 6:46Speaker 1: I saw Ariono Mattox in the flesh.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Oh my god, God, that's a big one.
- 6:52Speaker 1: It's a big one. And I did not harass her.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I did not even go up to her. She was
- 6:57Speaker 1: busy working, and I let her be and I made
- 7:00Speaker 1: eye contact with her. I could have easily been.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Like, ah, old timey would have made that noise.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Correct. So I'm glad you asked. She has a sandwich shop.
- 7:12Speaker 1: What's it called?
- 7:12Speaker 4: Something about her?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Something about her? It's right next to my hair salon, Tawny.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Tawny's hair salon is right next door, and so I
- 7:21Speaker 1: was getting my hair done and there was a line
- 7:23Speaker 1: down the street as there always is, and my friend
- 7:26Speaker 1: from TMZ actually was there, like standing there, and she
- 7:31Speaker 1: ran over because I was like feeding the meter and
- 7:33Speaker 1: she said, hey, like talking to me, and I was like,
- 7:35Speaker 1: what are you doing here? She's like, oh, arian is
- 7:37Speaker 1: here all day? Seth Rogan was just here and I
- 7:40Speaker 1: was like, oh my gosh, what a sight seeing And
- 7:42Speaker 1: I was like, oh cool. So I finished talking to
- 7:45Speaker 1: her and then I walked was about to walk into
- 7:46Speaker 1: the hair salon and I saw Ariana right there on
- 7:48Speaker 1: the sidewalk. Wow. No, I made eye contact. I smiled.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think she could feel my energy that like, I'm
- 7:55Speaker 1: a love Island stan and I commend her and thank
- 7:58Speaker 1: her for her service this season. And that's all. I
- 8:01Speaker 1: just needed the eye contact.
- 8:03Speaker 2: That's so interesting because I feel like you'd at least
- 8:05Speaker 2: be like I love like I loved this season great,
- 8:08Speaker 2: like it was amazing or something.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So I probably I was late for my hair appointment,
- 8:13Speaker 1: so I was stressed, just trying to fly in there
- 8:16Speaker 1: as that quickly as possible. And I thought I could
- 8:19Speaker 1: sense her energy was like I need to get back
- 8:21Speaker 1: into my sandwich Shop. Right, but that's a conversation. I'll
- 8:25Speaker 1: never know how it was. It gone.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Isn't she studying though?
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yeah? And she's much like smaller than I thought everyone is,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I know, but I guess like I've never watched an
- 8:34Speaker 1: episode of Bander Pump Rules, but on Love Island she
- 8:36Speaker 1: looks very tall. She looks like six foot three.
- 8:40Speaker 4: She gets hosted American Top forty last year, and I
- 8:43Speaker 4: have video on my Instagram of her saying that she
- 8:45Speaker 4: and I are best friends, and.
- 8:46Speaker 1: She's much like, yeah, she's like I don't even I
- 8:48Speaker 1: don't really know how tall she is, but.
- 8:49Speaker 4: She's very short. Yeah, and yeah she's the best. Yeah,
- 8:52Speaker 4: you love very animatic?
- 8:53Speaker 3: What an arc? What a what a wife? What a career?
- 8:57Speaker 3: I know, like she gets a reality and.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Like what a blessed though, because that Tom Sandoval was
- 9:01Speaker 1: such a.
- 9:02Speaker 3: And then that all happens, which makes her a household
- 9:05Speaker 3: name for all the wrong reasons. And now she's the
- 9:06Speaker 3: host like the number one show on television, Like that's
- 9:09Speaker 3: just not an arc anybody's ever.
- 9:11Speaker 1: And the sandwich Shop, that's like crushing it. And she
- 9:13Speaker 1: was on Broadway and she's on Broadway on Broadway. Yeah,
- 9:16Speaker 1: she's interesting, winning.
- 9:18Speaker 2: She keeps winning.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Yeah, she goes to show you just you might be
- 9:23Speaker 1: down today. You might be down today, but you can
- 9:26Speaker 1: be up tomorrow. You might be crying today, but you're
- 9:29Speaker 1: gonna be thriving tomorrow. You might be down in the
- 9:32Speaker 1: dumps today, not wanting to get out of bed, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: you're gonna be on Broadway tomorrow. M metaphoric metaphoric Broadway.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah. It goes to show the town.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Wow, exactly, the sandwich of the stars.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Mmmm, the toasted sub of the town.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Well, this reminds me. Actually, it's been a full week
- 9:55Speaker 1: without Love Island. Yes, and I've been missing them. So
- 10:01Speaker 1: I wrote a poem.
- 10:01Speaker 2: But they're all on social media.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Now, You're like, it's different, Oh, they're They're more polished
- 10:07Speaker 1: on Instagram. It's not the raw, unvarnished sims that I'm
- 10:10Speaker 1: used to. Yeah, it's a filtered version of them, you
- 10:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Yeah, I wrote a.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Poem perfectly normal, perfectly healthy.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Who hasn't among us written a poem about a TV show?
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yes?
- 10:23Speaker 1: So I wanted to read that to you all. Should
- 10:26Speaker 1: I do when we come back?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Oh?
- 10:27Speaker 3: I love it?
- 10:28Speaker 2: Wow, Tony a great job.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I've been waiting to get it right once.
- 10:33Speaker 2: It was a good job.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Thank you, and we're back.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Yeah, we're back. You have the floor.
- 10:57Speaker 1: The floor is yours, floor is mine. Yeah, he said,
- 11:00Speaker 1: Can I get just a quick intro? You can do
- 11:04Speaker 1: like five seconds? Perfect? That's good, thank you. Okay, bade
- 11:17Speaker 1: it down. Maybe it was that too long. I don't
- 11:21Speaker 1: even know. Okay, risking it. Don't tell the authorities, scrubvers. Okay,
- 11:26Speaker 1: are you ready? It's been a week without you, my
- 11:31Speaker 1: dear good friends. I never thought we would get to
- 11:34Speaker 1: the end of hearing Kaylor scream, parad to Kendall acting
- 11:43Speaker 1: like such a Karen and Nicole looking flawless every single day,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and Janey being perfect in every single way. It was
- 11:55Speaker 1: a season where the women totally dominated the men. They
- 12:00Speaker 1: kind of were just accessories. They were just kens. It's
- 12:05Speaker 1: love Island, not like Island. So we don't put up
- 12:08Speaker 1: with the lies. We may not have new episodes, but
- 12:12Speaker 1: we will always have soul ties. So cheers to Leah,
- 12:17Speaker 1: Serena and my down ass Bee live. Now, let's hope
- 12:22Speaker 1: these men can be a little more decisive.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Wow, Shakespeare, who honestly one of your best.
- 12:30Speaker 1: It felt good and I wrote it weirdly fast.
- 12:34Speaker 2: It was just waiting to be Yeah, it was like
- 12:36Speaker 2: put down on paper on the phone.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's over. It's over.
- 12:43Speaker 2: The reunion.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Yes, I have the reunion.
- 12:46Speaker 2: So that's something to look forward to.
- 12:47Speaker 1: And I have all of them on every podcastle We've
- 12:51Speaker 1: got Rob or Leah and Call Her Daddy, We've got
- 12:57Speaker 1: Taylor on by Al File File Files, fi Out, We've
- 13:04Speaker 1: got who else is on other podcasts.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I don't know. I haven't. I just see what I
- 13:10Speaker 2: see on TikTok, which is I saw Rob's clips on
- 13:15Speaker 2: which is funny because so he she asked him about Andrea, yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 2: if they would get back together, and he kind of
- 13:25Speaker 2: was like, we've talked, and he kind of is, doesn't
- 13:29Speaker 2: say much, and then he goes, but she posted a lot.
- 13:33Speaker 1: I noticed that, But I'm like, what is that about?
- 13:36Speaker 2: But that he wasn't into it. Yeah, well, I think
- 13:39Speaker 2: he just thought she would like maybe was trying too
- 13:43Speaker 2: hard to like stay relevant or something. I don't know.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So he gave him like the ache or something. Is
- 13:50Speaker 2: kind of the impression I got.
- 13:52Speaker 1: I feel bad because it's like, you get out of
- 13:55Speaker 1: this villa, you're like you fall in love with someone,
- 13:58Speaker 1: they're still in there and you come out.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It's like, you feel like she fell in love with
- 14:05Speaker 2: him in four days.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I do, Yeah, you don't.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I think she really liked him. I think she had
- 14:10Speaker 2: a big crush on him.
- 14:11Speaker 1: You don't think she fell in love. I think they
- 14:13Speaker 1: were like in love with each other.
- 14:14Speaker 2: No, I think they had really deep I think they
- 14:17Speaker 2: liked each other and there was like an attraction. But
- 14:19Speaker 2: I definitely don't feel like.
- 14:20Speaker 1: It was love. Oh yikes.
- 14:24Speaker 2: I mean, anyway, she gets off and she's like doing
- 14:29Speaker 2: a lot of lives. She's posting about everything, like any
- 14:32Speaker 2: any question asked, she's answering it.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Really, how did I miss that?
- 14:36Speaker 2: It was on TikTok oh? But you don't see.
- 14:38Speaker 1: But I think I figured, like US Weekly or something
- 14:41Speaker 1: would pick it up and write a story tomorrow. Yeah. Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 1: nobody said that my way.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Yeah, Ginger chan interesting and so he just kind of referenced.
- 14:50Speaker 2: He was like, she posted a lot, and then I
- 14:52Speaker 2: guess she went and deleted everything. So that's on that.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I don't know what will happen and beyond that, and
- 15:03Speaker 2: then she's having Leo on yeah coming up maybe today
- 15:07Speaker 2: or something. I don't know. And then Kaylor was on
- 15:10Speaker 2: Vile Files and she made me sad because she was
- 15:12Speaker 2: saying how she's never been in a healthy relationship. Yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 2: like her last relationship was really toxic and he was
- 15:17Speaker 2: really controlling and was like told her what she should
- 15:21Speaker 2: wear and if she posted a photo and something sexy,
- 15:23Speaker 2: she needed to tag him, like all this like really
- 15:25Speaker 2: unhealthy stuff. And so she's like, I don't know how
- 15:30Speaker 2: to be in a healthy relationship because that's the only
- 15:33Speaker 2: relationship I've had.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I feel like this ain't it.
- 15:36Speaker 2: And she was like saying that Aaron's like cheers her on,
- 15:39Speaker 2: like when she's sexy. He's like, that's my girl. And
- 15:41Speaker 2: so people in the comments were like, please watch the
- 15:44Speaker 2: whole show, watch Cosso more and make your decisions.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I know. And apparently they said that we didn't even
- 15:50Speaker 1: see the worst of it, oh shoot, which is alarming.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but so Julio, all I have to add because
- 16:00Speaker 2: that's all I've seen, which seems to be more than you. Yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 2: you were writing poems.
- 16:06Speaker 1: I was busy writing my poems. And honestly, it's been
- 16:08Speaker 1: like a whirlwind of a week because I don't know
- 16:10Speaker 1: what to watch every night, Like I've watched. I watched
- 16:12Speaker 1: Beetle Juice last night. That fine, great fan of the original.
- 16:16Speaker 1: It was the original, the original one.
- 16:19Speaker 3: So you're ready now.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm ready ready, fully like remembered the old one.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I liked it. Yeah, but I don't know what to watch.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I guess Love is Blind is coming back early August.
- 16:30Speaker 1: So that's exciting.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Is it nice to have a little break from reality
- 16:33Speaker 3: dating shows?
- 16:34Speaker 1: No?
- 16:34Speaker 2: Okay, you know what's so funny? I read a book
- 16:38Speaker 2: this week, thank you?
- 16:42Speaker 1: How many pages?
- 16:44Speaker 2: I don't know, Like I don't truly know, you don't check.
- 16:48Speaker 1: That's the first thing I look at when I open
- 16:49Speaker 1: a book. Why, just to see what I'm in for?
- 16:54Speaker 2: Like that will make her break if you're gonna readize.
- 16:56Speaker 1: If I see something it's like a thousand pages, no, no, no, no,
- 16:58Speaker 1: if it's three hundred maybe yes, yes, yes.
- 17:01Speaker 2: It was called The Housemaid, so, oh my gosh, it
- 17:05Speaker 2: was so good. Okay. Did anyone in here read Verity
- 17:08Speaker 2: from Colleen Hoover? Okay? It had that same feel, it
- 17:13Speaker 2: was like, so it was such a fast read. I
- 17:15Speaker 2: could have read it in a day, but I couldn't
- 17:17Speaker 2: read it at night because it was kind of a
- 17:18Speaker 2: thriller and I get scared and then I have dreams
- 17:21Speaker 2: about it. But I forgot how much I love to read.
- 17:25Speaker 2: It's so fun. It was so nice to not be
- 17:27Speaker 2: on my phone until so walk me through this. Okay reading?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, So you wake up in the morning and
- 17:38Speaker 1: you decide I'm going to read today. So what day
- 17:41Speaker 1: of the week is this?
- 17:43Speaker 2: What?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Like, what day was like when I started the book,
- 17:46Speaker 1: or in general, the last time you read it. What
- 17:48Speaker 1: day of the week was it.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I started on Sunday, okay, because I went to the
- 17:52Speaker 2: park with Phoebe.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Okay, so you brought it to the park. Yeah. You
- 17:55Speaker 1: just sat on a blanket and you just read the
- 17:57Speaker 1: book for how many hours?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Like two and a half. I mean I wasn't reading
- 18:03Speaker 2: the whole time, but I would like, you know, go
- 18:05Speaker 2: walk with Phoebe, and then I would come back read
- 18:07Speaker 2: a few pages whatever. And then during the day, like
- 18:09Speaker 2: after breakfast, I'd sit and read for like twenty or
- 18:11Speaker 2: thirty minutes.
- 18:13Speaker 1: So you eat your breakfast, you sit down the couch.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Uh huh, you open your book. Yeah, and he just
- 18:18Speaker 1: read for twenty thirty minutes.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Wow.
- 18:21Speaker 2: And then yesterday I went to get a pedicure, and
- 18:24Speaker 2: it brought my book.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Brought your book to the manny petties a lot.
- 18:27Speaker 2: I didn't get a manicure, so I had my hands free.
- 18:30Speaker 2: It was so nice.
- 18:32Speaker 4: You'd do a hard copy or a kindle or paperback.
- 18:36Speaker 2: I was like, neither a paper back.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Oh sorry, I meant like a physical comic.
- 18:40Speaker 2: However, I don't have a kindle because I like, see
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm torn between this because I like the idea of
- 18:46Speaker 2: having access to get whatever any book.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Yeah, on my face.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Demanded basically the streaming of But.
- 18:52Speaker 2: I love like I love like the feeling of a book,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and I love not looking at a screen.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Yeah, that's probably good for you. But I like my
- 18:58Speaker 3: iPad because I can keep a lot of books.
- 19:00Speaker 1: No, I know it's sleek and fits in your pocket.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I know they're so cute, the little kindles The Handmaid.
- 19:06Speaker 3: The house Maid looks really good. I'm just reading it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Is that's nice.
- 19:10Speaker 2: That's a nice so good even I was normally, if
- 19:13Speaker 2: I watch a show or read something or whatever, have
- 19:16Speaker 2: a story for Haley. If you know how there's certain
- 19:18Speaker 2: things where you or like you have a dream and
- 19:21Speaker 2: you tell someone and they were like, I don't really
- 19:23Speaker 2: care because I didn't live that.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I was telling Haley about the book, and like midway
- 19:28Speaker 2: through explaining, I was like, she probably does not care
- 19:30Speaker 2: about this at all, but she kept asking questions and
- 19:33Speaker 2: she was like, wait, so so.
- 19:35Speaker 1: And so did blah blah blah.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And I was like, Okay, this is a good book
- 19:38Speaker 2: because in a good partner. But it's a good book
- 19:41Speaker 2: because it was engaging enough that she did care about
- 19:44Speaker 2: it even though she had no.
- 19:45Speaker 1: You know that book that I started reading, I don't
- 19:47Speaker 1: even know at what point the magic oh doctor Seuss. No, No,
- 19:51Speaker 1: it was like the magic of the magic of making
- 19:53Speaker 1: things happen or whatever? Is that book I started a
- 19:57Speaker 1: long time ago?
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, did you finish?
- 19:59Speaker 1: No, it's still it's still on my bedside table.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Well that's a self help book, right.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but a good one, a really good one.
- 20:06Speaker 2: I love self help books, but it does take me
- 20:09Speaker 2: longer to get through those because a lot of times,
- 20:11Speaker 2: like I've been trying to read The Artist's Way for
- 20:13Speaker 2: so long, because it's like basically helps anyone. It's not
- 20:17Speaker 2: just artists, but like any it just helps you unlock
- 20:19Speaker 2: your creativity. But it's like homework, Like you wake up
- 20:23Speaker 2: and you do an hour of like brain dumping every morning,
- 20:26Speaker 2: where you write for an hour just anything that comes
- 20:28Speaker 2: to mind.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Oh, my, brain dumping. That's interesting. We should do that together.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:33Speaker 2: No, I've been wanting to do it because apparently it
- 20:37Speaker 2: is so incredible what it does for your brain when
- 20:40Speaker 2: you wake up and immediately write and you just keep
- 20:43Speaker 2: writing and anything that comes to your mind, it gets
- 20:45Speaker 2: like everything out and clears your brain and allows for
- 20:47Speaker 2: more space. It's really interesting. They do it in a
- 20:49Speaker 2: lot of classes that are study like I think marketing
- 20:54Speaker 2: and creative strategy and stuff.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Did Becca get smarter? What's happening the book? You read?
- 21:00Speaker 2: Something quite intelligent?
- 21:02Speaker 1: I just my gosh, do you.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Just see my podcast in social media persona?
- 21:09Speaker 1: No, not me.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm I'm pretty deep.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Well I know that, but like, who knew that you'd
- 21:18Speaker 1: learned about brain dumping? Those are the that's the term
- 21:21Speaker 1: that I wish you would share with me.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Well, those are things that I actually learn on TikTok
- 21:26Speaker 2: as well.
- 21:26Speaker 1: TikTok for me isn't just TikTok.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah. That's the problem with TikTok for me is that
- 21:32Speaker 2: sometimes it's such a like time suck and I'm like,
- 21:36Speaker 2: I just spent two hours watching what. But then there's
- 21:38Speaker 2: also informative things where I learn there's a lot of
- 21:42Speaker 2: information on like politics and stuff that you want tot
- 21:44Speaker 2: hear in like mainstream media. So I don't know, I
- 21:48Speaker 2: feel like there is there is a pro.
- 21:51Speaker 1: To see my algorithm shows me like, no, it will
- 21:55Speaker 1: show me like recently, it showed me like a concoction
- 21:57Speaker 1: that I can make on the stove to keep bugs
- 21:59Speaker 1: out of my head house, and I'll like save it.
- 22:01Speaker 1: But I'm like, I'm never going to make this concoction
- 22:03Speaker 1: with like cloves and like whatever, do you know what
- 22:05Speaker 1: I mean? Spray it around the walls of my home.
- 22:07Speaker 1: But the other one was the how you can get
- 22:12Speaker 1: mold in your dishwasher and how to prevent that from happening.
- 22:16Speaker 1: So that sent me into a spiral of like We're
- 22:18Speaker 1: never using our dishwasher again.
- 22:21Speaker 2: You know.
- 22:21Speaker 1: It's really pleasant over here.
- 22:24Speaker 3: For recommending books. I'm reading a book called Fantastic Land
- 22:27Speaker 3: right now that I'm really enjoying. It's about a hurricane
- 22:29Speaker 3: hitting a theme park in Florida and everyone is trapped
- 22:33Speaker 3: in the theme park because of the hurricane. All the
- 22:35Speaker 3: employees so it's like teenagers and young people are trapped
- 22:38Speaker 3: in there and all hell breaks loose. It's pretty dark,
- 22:41Speaker 3: but it's dark. Yeah dark.
- 22:42Speaker 4: This is on my kindle Wishless.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah, in the middle of it, it's good. Wow.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:47Speaker 2: I had this moment where I was like, I love
- 22:50Speaker 2: the community of the book world because I'm reading at
- 22:53Speaker 2: the nail salon and the girl the receptionist, goes Becca
- 22:56Speaker 2: and I was like, who's save my name? I was
- 22:59Speaker 2: like yeah, and she goes, are you reading The Housemaid?
- 23:02Speaker 2: And I was like yes. So I was like it's
- 23:04Speaker 2: so good. She's like I just downloaded it. I'm on
- 23:07Speaker 2: chapter three or something, and I was like, oh, just wait.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Not just a community brings people.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Together, kind of like Love Island exactly.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaking of Twitter, I mean there was no talk
- 23:20Speaker 2: of Twitter. Speaking of TikTok, there.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Is actually X now app Yeah what.
- 23:26Speaker 2: X Either way, I don't have it, and that's not
- 23:28Speaker 2: what I was referring to. So there are these wedding
- 23:31Speaker 2: trends that people are over and my thing with a
- 23:35Speaker 2: wedding is you do what you want to do, Like
- 23:37Speaker 2: that's always.
- 23:38Speaker 1: My opinion of your own drama.
- 23:40Speaker 2: Yeah, do what you want to do tradition, non tradition.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I'm all about it. But I do like the idea
- 23:45Speaker 2: of talking about these trends and seeing what you think
- 23:47Speaker 2: of them as a future bride. All right, okay, so
- 23:52Speaker 2: this is let's see if Tanya would want to incorporate
- 23:55Speaker 2: these into her wedding.
- 23:57Speaker 1: The grimace on your face makes me nervous.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Very popular right now? Trends.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Yeah, acrylic signs, so like the signs that a welcome
- 24:09Speaker 2: sign when you enter it's it would say, like the yadagars.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Right, So I don't think I want any signs. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: think I want no signs.
- 24:17Speaker 2: No signage.
- 24:18Speaker 1: No, like if there's things that I need you to know,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I think it's going to be pretty self explanatory, like
- 24:23Speaker 1: sign these cards, find your name, is it at your table?
- 24:28Speaker 2: You know, restrooms, directional information, but not like big signs
- 24:34Speaker 2: with like your new last name.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Well, now that you put it that way, No, I
- 24:40Speaker 1: don't think I want signs.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Okay, Well, no acrylic sign or just sign no signs.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Sis.
- 24:45Speaker 2: What about pompous grass arches and boho dresses like the
- 24:48Speaker 2: Boho vi with like whimsicle you know the grass that
- 24:51Speaker 2: like blows in the Yeah, not for me, okay, no boho, No.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Boho like probably the opposite of boho.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Okay. What about rustic like wood fall color flowers going
- 25:04Speaker 2: to be a fault?
- 25:05Speaker 4: No?
- 25:06Speaker 1: Okay, And like Mexico's, it's quite the opposite of rustic, right.
- 25:12Speaker 2: I guess it depends on where you are.
- 25:13Speaker 1: True, true, true?
- 25:15Speaker 2: Okay. What about a donut wall, so instead of people
- 25:19Speaker 2: getting like a dessert cake, they would have a wall
- 25:22Speaker 2: of donuts like it's they're like on little hooks. Yeah.
- 25:26Speaker 1: I've seen a donut wall like a Halloween party and stuff.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Uh not for me.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Will you have a traditional wedding cake with the tears
- 25:33Speaker 3: and everything and a little couple on top? Uh?
- 25:36Speaker 1: I don't think so interesting?
- 25:38Speaker 4: We had a donut wall everybody?
- 25:39Speaker 1: Did you really?
- 25:41Speaker 3: How do I not remember that?
- 25:42Speaker 1: I don't remember it either.
- 25:44Speaker 4: Well, did you not get a donut?
- 25:45Speaker 3: I don't think I did.
- 25:46Speaker 4: We didn't have it like we had a very small
- 25:47Speaker 4: wedding cake and then we gave everyone donuts.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I think like we'll probably do some sort of dessert treat,
- 25:54Speaker 1: but I don't know that we're going to do a
- 25:58Speaker 1: traditional like full blown cake.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Okay, what flavor cake would you do? If you did
- 26:04Speaker 2: a cake.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Great question. I'm glad you asked. Maybe true to go
- 26:10Speaker 1: with like the Mexican Yes, okay, like a trace chase.
- 26:17Speaker 2: What about little a truro wall and it's like they're
- 26:20Speaker 2: like in little like sleeves.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that or true, We're going to lean
- 26:25Speaker 1: into the to the Mexico of it, you know what
- 26:27Speaker 1: I mean?
- 26:28Speaker 2: Okay, film cameras on tables, so like people will put
- 26:32Speaker 2: little cameras, disposable cameras, and then you develop, everyone takes
- 26:36Speaker 2: them and then it's their own little like photography session.
- 26:39Speaker 2: Then you'll get to keep them someone their pants.
- 26:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's probably gonna be a no for me.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Okay, Wow, I've never heard of that. Blurry film photos
- 26:48Speaker 2: you know?
- 26:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, you see my engagement photos where
- 26:50Speaker 1: like there's some blurry ones.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I was like, yes, beige, white, tan esthetic.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Yes, So I think I'm gonna have a color palette
- 26:59Speaker 1: for the has to choose from, Like if you would
- 27:04Speaker 1: like to be on theme, these are the kind of
- 27:05Speaker 1: the colors that are going to be the theme.
- 27:07Speaker 2: It's risky.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Why are risky?
- 27:09Speaker 2: It's risky because let's say seventy five percent of the
- 27:15Speaker 2: people adhere to the theme and then twenty five say
- 27:20Speaker 2: I'm coming with what I've got the phote. It could
- 27:25Speaker 2: just look at there.
- 27:26Speaker 1: There's gonna be some reserve seats in the back.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I've always I liked the idea of it esthetic, you know, themed,
- 27:34Speaker 2: but you just always have a few that won't participate.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah, they're gonna be like pretty generic easy. I'm not
- 27:42Speaker 1: doing like canary yellow and you know what I mean,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Like it's not going to be anything crazy, but like, yeah,
- 27:47Speaker 1: I think a color palette is nice.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Okay, what about washed out pastel color schemes like sage
- 27:52Speaker 2: and mint green.
- 27:54Speaker 1: I like that, but I don't think for me, Okay.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Mismatched bridesmaid stresses definitely like in terms of the style
- 28:02Speaker 2: of the dress.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I'm gonna give you all a color
- 28:06Speaker 1: and let you pick your.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Dress, but we will send for approval correct champagne tower.
- 28:16Speaker 1: So it's funny. I was actually reading that that's like
- 28:18Speaker 1: a very easy cost cutter, Like nobody drinks the champagne
- 28:23Speaker 1: from the champagne tower. It's such a waste of money.
- 28:27Speaker 1: But I like the look of it, so I think, yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 2: Okay, okay, bridesmaid groomsmen entrance dances.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Definitely not. I don't want you guys to I don't
- 28:39Speaker 1: even want the like give it up for a bat
- 28:43Speaker 1: that's actually gonna be you. I might put you in
- 28:45Speaker 1: charge of that of what entrances. You might be the
- 28:48Speaker 1: em C.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I'm the m C.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I think that's pretty.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Great because Ryan Secrets will be there, but you'll be
- 28:55Speaker 3: the EMC.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Well, no, he's going to be the officiant. That's different.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I'm not going to like make him do the whole
- 29:00Speaker 1: night saying.
- 29:01Speaker 3: One of the better known mcs in America is going
- 29:04Speaker 3: to be there, and Becca's going.
- 29:05Speaker 1: To be But what I don't want is I don't
- 29:07Speaker 1: want I don't want to put you on the spot
- 29:09Speaker 1: to like run into our whatever with like Robbie's brother
- 29:13Speaker 1: holding hands and like in the you know, Macarena.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I think I would. I think it'd be fun if
- 29:18Speaker 2: all the girls walked in together and then all the
- 29:21Speaker 2: guys walked in together. Yeah, and then y'all walk in together.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So it doesn't need to be like we have to
- 29:26Speaker 2: dance like it's your partner, David. Yeah, okay, are you
- 29:35Speaker 2: doing dances with your parents?
- 29:39Speaker 1: I think so? Okay, you know, I'm really torn on this.
- 29:43Speaker 2: This is a Ali did not do this. She didn't
- 29:46Speaker 2: do a first dance or dance with the parents.
- 29:49Speaker 1: So what we really want is we want the ceremony
- 29:51Speaker 1: to be like the ceremony and beautiful and and sweet
- 29:55Speaker 1: and like let's cry and and and then once that's over,
- 30:00Speaker 1: we want it to be like party. Yeah, we want
- 30:03Speaker 1: to be like fun. We want everybody just to like dance.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And I feel like if we do, you know, me
- 30:09Speaker 1: and my dad, Robbie and his mom, Me and Robbie,
- 30:11Speaker 1: that's a good twenty minutes of just us dancing on
- 30:15Speaker 1: the dance floor where everybody's just kind of gonna sit
- 30:18Speaker 1: there and maybe lose their buzz.
- 30:19Speaker 2: You could do like a minute of a song, yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 2: if you wanted to incorporate that, if it is important
- 30:25Speaker 2: to you, you could do like a minute of a
- 30:27Speaker 2: special song and then you know that goes back quick.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe we'll do like a first dance.
- 30:31Speaker 2: I love a first dance.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I think we're definitely gonna do the first dance because
- 30:35Speaker 1: I really want, I really want, I really have like
- 30:37Speaker 1: a special moment in vision for that. Do you have
- 30:40Speaker 1: a song It's probably gonna be invisible string or Maren
- 30:45Speaker 1: Morris the Bones.
- 30:47Speaker 4: That's exactly what I was thinking. We've got one of
- 30:48Speaker 4: those two.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I want one of my bridesmaids to
- 30:51Speaker 1: sing it.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Wow, I can say, well, sing I'm already taken for
- 30:57Speaker 2: the night. I gotta serve. Yeah yeah, yeah, Well hopefully
- 31:02Speaker 2: people can read between the lines on that one. Yeah,
- 31:06Speaker 2: Taylor Slick, that's right, Okay. And then well, Paulina and
- 31:13Speaker 2: I have to give a speech.
- 31:15Speaker 1: I think we're going to do speeches at the rehearsal dinner,
- 31:19Speaker 1: not the I don't think no speeches at the wedding. Wow,
- 31:22Speaker 1: maybe one speech or two.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Maybe you're the parents.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't really run this by Robbie,
- 31:28Speaker 1: so we're going to figure that out. But I feel
- 31:32Speaker 1: like speeches every time i've I've I've listened to like
- 31:35Speaker 1: a myriad of speeches. I lose my buzz and she's
- 31:39Speaker 1: really worried about I'm really worried about I'm really worried
- 31:42Speaker 1: about people maintaining their buzz.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 3: What that strikes me is weird, but it's not part
- 31:48Speaker 3: of my.
- 31:49Speaker 1: World, so really, I know, But like, you want to
- 31:53Speaker 1: keep the part of the.
- 31:56Speaker 4: Speeches.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't like the energy. I just want I
- 31:59Speaker 1: don't want the end energy to like, once you sit
- 32:02Speaker 1: down your seat for thirty minutes, you're done for. So
- 32:06Speaker 1: I want to keep people up.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Okay, okay, no sitting in this wedding.
- 32:10Speaker 1: No, no, you better get those heels polished off because
- 32:13Speaker 1: they're going to be put to work.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Yep.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, Well there you have it. Do we
- 32:18Speaker 2: have a date yet?
- 32:19Speaker 1: Not officially?
- 32:21Speaker 3: Are you down to options like two or three options?
- 32:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Okay, March is in there, marches in play, May is
- 32:28Speaker 1: in play, March in May, March in May, spring wedding.
- 32:33Speaker 2: That's right, if you do it the same weekend of
- 32:36Speaker 2: Ali and jojok.
- 32:39Speaker 1: You Actually I don't think I will because I think
- 32:41Speaker 1: it's Mother's Day weekend.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Oh that y'all are looking up?
- 32:44Speaker 1: No, that's that's wasn't there's like May tenth, eleven something
- 32:48Speaker 1: like that.
- 32:48Speaker 2: No, theirs was the eighteenth.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Oh well so it feels like a lucky day.
- 32:57Speaker 2: No, this is the fourteenth. Sorry, yeah, I think it's yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 2: JoJo's was the fourteenth. Alleys was the eighteenth?
- 33:03Speaker 1: Okay yeah, same same same area area.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Well, anyways, that's very exciting. Glad we got some insight
- 33:10Speaker 2: on the wedding. Finally, we're gonna take a break and
- 33:13Speaker 2: we have a dear bonya question, so we'll be right back. Tanya,
- 33:34Speaker 2: Who're going? She was like, you never talked about going
- 33:36Speaker 2: to Lallapalooza. What would you like to talk about it?
- 33:38Speaker 1: I mean, you've never gone before. It's a big days
- 33:41Speaker 1: ac festival. What are you doing? What are you wearing?
- 33:43Speaker 2: I'm going with.
- 33:46Speaker 3: The big one. I think, are you going with?
- 33:48Speaker 2: Che Ley saved it for the end. I'm going with
- 33:51Speaker 2: Chase Bank Actually.
- 33:52Speaker 1: Okay, cool.
- 33:53Speaker 2: I'm a Chase girl, me too, through and through since
- 33:57Speaker 2: high school?
- 33:58Speaker 1: Me too.
- 33:58Speaker 2: My first ever car and so.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Loyal high school. I think I got mine in college.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Yeah, like right in that area. Anyways, So I'm going
- 34:08Speaker 2: with Chase and Ali's going with me, and we are going.
- 34:14Speaker 2: I've never been, so I was like asking questions. I
- 34:16Speaker 2: don't know what the I'm assuming it's hot everywhere, but
- 34:19Speaker 2: I was curious about the humidity and apparently it's extremely
- 34:24Speaker 2: humid and muggy in Chicago.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Really, and I.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Asked if it was like Coachella, and they're like, it's
- 34:29Speaker 2: way more casual than Coachella.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels like chiller lots of walking, gonna bust
- 34:35Speaker 1: out the hookahs, no, no.
- 34:37Speaker 2: No stuff. I like, will suffer through your beauty over
- 34:43Speaker 2: so much, the beauty over pain or what is it
- 34:45Speaker 2: you your beauty over comfort?
- 34:48Speaker 1: Yes, and I'm comfort over beauty yes.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yeah, Ali too. Yeah, it's a thing.
- 34:53Speaker 1: It's a thing.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so I will sacrifice my feet.
- 34:58Speaker 4: For the Look are you doing all four days?
- 35:01Speaker 2: No? Just Friday and No? Yeah, Friday and Saturday.
- 35:05Speaker 3: Are you excited to see? I have the good question?
- 35:08Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, So the problem is the person I'm most
- 35:11Speaker 2: excited to see is on Thursday.
- 35:12Speaker 3: So you're not gonna see Stallionparone chapelone.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Yes, on Friday and Saturday. Who are you excited to see?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Let me look at the lineup, because I well, I
- 35:23Speaker 2: had people, and then I realized that a lot of
- 35:25Speaker 2: them were on Thursday.
- 35:26Speaker 3: I would be excited to see The Killers on Saturday.
- 35:28Speaker 3: That would be great.
- 35:30Speaker 2: The Killers.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Killers are gonna be fun, that is Yeah.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I'm gonna miss Blink one too.
- 35:34Speaker 4: And Melanie Martinez.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you know my my friend Dez was
- 35:39Speaker 2: on the voice with Melanie Martinez. Really yeah, well yeah,
- 35:44Speaker 2: so I'm excited to see Sis. Actually Friday Night. I
- 35:50Speaker 2: do love herne rap. Yeah, No, I'm excited. I think
- 35:53Speaker 2: it's gonna be a vibe like I'm this might be
- 35:55Speaker 2: the new festival that's on my doable of choice festival choice.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Oh wow, So I'm really excited. Still don't know what
- 36:03Speaker 2: I'm gonna wear, thank you see, but it'll be fun.
- 36:09Speaker 2: I'm we'll see how I'm feeling after I choose beauty
- 36:12Speaker 2: over comfort.
- 36:13Speaker 1: You should go to one of Juliana Ransick's restaurants in Chicago.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, just let me know which one.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Well, I think it's called our PM Steak.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember that when they promoted that when it
- 36:30Speaker 2: first opened.
- 36:31Speaker 3: All right, now, now that you don't have the line
- 36:33Speaker 3: up in front of you, we're going to play a game.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Oh I love it.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I'm going to give you an artist. Do you tell
- 36:39Speaker 3: me if this is an actual artist at Lallapaloos your
- 36:42Speaker 3: attending or an artist that we completely made up.
- 36:44Speaker 2: I'll tell you one thing. I just looked at the
- 36:46Speaker 2: list and I didn't know a whole lot of them.
- 36:49Speaker 3: So here we go, real or made up? Post sex nachos?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Is that a real band or somebody we made up?
- 36:57Speaker 2: It feels made up.
- 36:58Speaker 3: That is a real band. Bring Sunday at Oh.
- 37:02Speaker 1: You're gonna miss them anyway.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm not going to see them unfortunately.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Next up, Chump Daddy.
- 37:10Speaker 2: It's giving made up.
- 37:11Speaker 3: That is made up. Okay, Generous Dollop.
- 37:16Speaker 2: That's giving made up.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Also made up, Papaul Rod, he feels real, real, very
- 37:25Speaker 3: good game. Medium build that feels real, that is real, legitimately,
- 37:33Speaker 3: Maple Sticky.
- 37:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna go made up that is made.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Good, very good. That's that's good. I think we're good.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Oh better than I thought.
- 37:45Speaker 3: Excellent that game.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Dear Bonya, Mark take it away.
- 37:48Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 37:49Speaker 3: What's it dear bonya question? Everyone, let's see what our
- 37:52Speaker 3: answer is to this one. As a single, no kids,
- 37:56Speaker 3: thirty something, I found I'm struggling with loneliness and disconnection
- 37:59Speaker 3: from my friends. My friends all have kids. I have
- 38:01Speaker 3: lost connection with them. I love children, and I get
- 38:04Speaker 3: that balancing act, kids, family, work, et cetera. Can be
- 38:06Speaker 3: a lot. But how can I keep these friendships alive
- 38:10Speaker 3: if I invite them to my house? Well, I have
- 38:12Speaker 3: a small home that's not babyproofed. I can't invite myself
- 38:14Speaker 3: to their house. I've tried meeting up for a meal
- 38:17Speaker 3: out with small children. But I felt like my friends
- 38:19Speaker 3: were more stressed keeping up with the kids and keeping
- 38:21Speaker 3: them occupied than enjoying catching up. And it was soul crushing.
- 38:25Speaker 3: And it suggestions from those with no kids mark and
- 38:28Speaker 3: it suggestions as a parent. I don't mind seeing them less,
- 38:31Speaker 3: but at this point I'm seeing them once or twice
- 38:33Speaker 3: a year.
- 38:35Speaker 2: This is interesting, yeah, because there's a part of me
- 38:39Speaker 2: that feels like that might be what you get out
- 38:45Speaker 2: of them is seeing them a couple times a year
- 38:48Speaker 2: where you have their full attention, especially if their kids
- 38:51Speaker 2: are young. Like I just think there's gonna be a
- 38:53Speaker 2: season of life where you're just not going to have
- 38:55Speaker 2: them like you used to. Yeah, And I think that
- 38:59Speaker 2: you'll get to point where y'all catch up and it
- 39:01Speaker 2: feels more like normal because the kids won't be as
- 39:04Speaker 2: like demanding of their attention and time. But there's also
- 39:09Speaker 2: this part of me that feels like you have friends
- 39:12Speaker 2: that will be in your life forever. But there's also
- 39:15Speaker 2: friends that are there for like a season, and that
- 39:18Speaker 2: you meet at a time where you really needed them.
- 39:21Speaker 2: And I think this might be a season where you
- 39:23Speaker 2: have new people come into your life that are on
- 39:26Speaker 2: the same page as you and can give you the
- 39:28Speaker 2: same amount of energy and time that you can give them.
- 39:30Speaker 2: And I don't think your friends can do that for
- 39:33Speaker 2: you right now.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's weird. I mean I think it's
- 39:36Speaker 1: hard because I think everybody deals with it in a
- 39:38Speaker 1: different way. I have friends who have had kids and
- 39:44Speaker 1: fully just fallen off the face of the earth, like
- 39:47Speaker 1: they are just completely mia and like that's fine, you
- 39:50Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like that's what they're choosing to do,
- 39:52Speaker 1: and like you have to just give people grace to
- 39:54Speaker 1: just do what they need to do. There's only so
- 39:57Speaker 1: much you can say, Hey, can we get a meal together,
- 40:00Speaker 1: Hey can we make some time? You know what I
- 40:02Speaker 1: mean before you get the hint, right. But then I
- 40:06Speaker 1: also have people that I know that had kids and
- 40:08Speaker 1: are like very present and they just like bring the
- 40:11Speaker 1: kid and then can still be fully engaged in conversation.
- 40:14Speaker 1: And so I think if, like if your friends are
- 40:17Speaker 1: the kind that are not really coming around making plans,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I think maybe Becka's advice is right, and like maybe
- 40:25Speaker 1: you should make some new friends who are in the
- 40:27Speaker 1: same season of life as you are.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Yeah, because I I realize that all of my friends.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I feel like y'all are all going to be pregnant
- 40:35Speaker 2: and going into this like new season of life at
- 40:37Speaker 2: the same time. But I have other and I'm gonna
- 40:40Speaker 2: be so excited to be a part of that with y'all.
- 40:42Speaker 2: But I know that things will change, you know, like
- 40:44Speaker 2: there will be a difference in like your availability and
- 40:47Speaker 2: time and like capacity. And so it's like knowing that
- 40:50Speaker 2: I have friends that are in the same season of
- 40:52Speaker 2: life as me also brings me comfort knowing that, like,
- 40:55Speaker 2: once that season happens, I'm not going to be like,
- 40:58Speaker 2: where are my friends? I don't have this can anymore,
- 41:00Speaker 2: because it's just gonna be a shift.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think like it was already a shift
- 41:04Speaker 1: for me because I have two step kids, and so
- 41:07Speaker 1: when we have fifty to fifty percent custody of the kids,
- 41:10Speaker 1: and when we have them, we try to be very
- 41:12Speaker 1: present and with them on the nights that we have them,
- 41:15Speaker 1: so I try not to like make plans, So that
- 41:19Speaker 1: has already kind of shifted my time and my availability.
- 41:23Speaker 1: So I kind of already have like a little bit
- 41:24Speaker 1: of a taste of it. But I do feel like
- 41:26Speaker 1: a baby is like a whole nother yea ballgame.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I was gonna ask Mark because I feel like Mark
- 41:31Speaker 2: and Easton. I feel like Easton. You probably have friends
- 41:36Speaker 2: who have had children and have felt that shift, and
- 41:39Speaker 2: then you, as the other side of things, have the
- 41:42Speaker 2: kids and have probably watched the shift in like your
- 41:46Speaker 2: time and the energy at some point. So I'm curious
- 41:49Speaker 2: about you guys.
- 41:50Speaker 3: So first, because I'm quick, I got good news and
- 41:52Speaker 3: bad news. The bad news is this is a losing battle.
- 41:57Speaker 3: The good news is it's not going to last until
- 41:59Speaker 3: the kids are eighteen. This is only gonna last for
- 42:01Speaker 3: a couple of years. When the kids are like three
- 42:03Speaker 3: or four, it's gonna be a lot easier to schedule
- 42:05Speaker 3: time with them, especially once they start school. Once they
- 42:07Speaker 3: start school, then then they might be more free for
- 42:10Speaker 3: lunches and that sort of thing. But for right now,
- 42:12Speaker 3: I don't think this is happening. And the other bad
- 42:15Speaker 3: news is our best friends lived in the valley and
- 42:18Speaker 3: so we rarely saw them because we're out one thousand
- 42:20Speaker 3: oaks and it was a good forty minutes to an
- 42:21Speaker 3: hour drive to go see them. Finally they moved out
- 42:24Speaker 3: by us, like, oh, finally we get to see you.
- 42:26Speaker 3: We still see them maybe two three times a year.
- 42:29Speaker 3: So yeah, you're just super busy and that's what happens,
- 42:32Speaker 3: and everything else falls by the wayside. So I don't
- 42:34Speaker 3: have a rosy picture for you, but like it better
- 42:37Speaker 3: than it is now once the kids start school.
- 42:40Speaker 4: I mean, we definitely have a lot of our friends
- 42:43Speaker 4: are having kids right now and we still hang out
- 42:47Speaker 4: with them. We see them less and that's fine, and
- 42:50Speaker 4: you know, we try to make ourselves available to We'll
- 42:52Speaker 4: go meet them at a park or something so they
- 42:53Speaker 4: can bring the little brats with them if they want to.
- 42:55Speaker 4: I'm just kidding. I love children. We used to, uh
- 43:03Speaker 4: we would go see all the Marvel movies and like
- 43:05Speaker 4: a big group, and everyone in that group has started
- 43:07Speaker 4: having kids. And now it's like just Alison and I
- 43:09Speaker 4: and one of the couples. We're going to see Deadpool
- 43:13Speaker 4: with the wife like she's coming and the husband's staying
- 43:15Speaker 4: home with the child. So you know, just changes and
- 43:19Speaker 4: it's fine, and I don't like, we don't. This is
- 43:21Speaker 4: what they want to do, you know, so I don't
- 43:23Speaker 4: hold it against them. And whenever they want to hang
- 43:24Speaker 4: out and down to hang out.
- 43:26Speaker 2: That's how I feel. I was going to say, don't
- 43:27Speaker 2: have resentment towards them because they're living their life. They're
- 43:30Speaker 2: choosing the path that they wanted, which was to create
- 43:33Speaker 2: a family, and it just it's hard. It's like all
- 43:36Speaker 2: of a sudden, they're in charge of keeping this tiny
- 43:38Speaker 2: human alive and you know, alive, and it's a lot,
- 43:43Speaker 2: and they're tired, and it's like this new season.
- 43:45Speaker 1: So I know it's so interesting though, because like it's
- 43:48Speaker 1: so you do. I base a lot of this stuff
- 43:50Speaker 1: off of what I see on Instagram and like the
- 43:52Speaker 1: moms that I follow on Instagram, like the new moms
- 43:54Speaker 1: with like newborns, and I'm like, oh it visually on
- 43:58Speaker 1: social media looks like the kids just like I don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: like along for the ride, you know what I mean?
- 44:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so like Brittany and Michael didn't miss
- 44:07Speaker 2: a beat. They like go everywhere with Kingston. We go
- 44:10Speaker 2: over there and play games like it's very much like they.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Right, there's like a couple months when you're like in
- 44:16Speaker 1: the trenches and then it's like they just bounce. They
- 44:19Speaker 1: just bounce back and I don't be bounced back.
- 44:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it depends on the kids. Because also if I'm
- 44:24Speaker 2: going out with someone or and I want like quality
- 44:28Speaker 2: time and they're like, well, I have to bring the baby,
- 44:29Speaker 2: and the baby's like a nightmare and like like crying
- 44:33Speaker 2: and like screaming that I'm like, it will catch up
- 44:35Speaker 2: another time, you know what I'm saying.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Yeah, And I know that's hard.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Because moms need that outlet as well. But I think
- 44:41Speaker 2: if you're a friend and you're looking for that connection
- 44:43Speaker 2: with your friend and you're not, like it's said, it's
- 44:45Speaker 2: soul crushing. I can't imagine waiting and then you finally
- 44:48Speaker 2: get that time with your friend and it's like they
- 44:50Speaker 2: can't even pay attention to you, but they're having to
- 44:52Speaker 2: give their you know. Yeah, I think it's just hard.
- 44:54Speaker 2: So I think you find people that are in the
- 44:58Speaker 2: same season as you, because I think you're going to
- 45:00Speaker 2: crave that quality time and attention that you give a friendship,
- 45:05Speaker 2: and I don't think you're gonna get it from your
- 45:06Speaker 2: friends who have like little babies right now.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Slow pulp real band or made up band?
- 45:13Speaker 4: Slow pulps Pul's real? It is real?
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Twenty four Roads.
- 45:18Speaker 2: To Tuesday, Oh, that's for sure real.
- 45:20Speaker 3: That's made up? Okay, water made up?
- 45:25Speaker 2: Probably I'm gonna go real it is real.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Geese Geese, oh Geese.
- 45:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 2: I love their song Bread real.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Yeah, they are real. How about the Worry Club?
- 45:39Speaker 2: No, no, no, Yeah, they're real.
- 45:42Speaker 3: Avocado fam Oh they're not. They're made up. Yeah, alien stylists,
- 45:47Speaker 3: they're real, they're made up. Oh the Last Dinner Party,
- 45:51Speaker 3: that's real.
- 45:52Speaker 2: That is real, Like I've heard of that one.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Actually, this is so wild the names.
- 46:01Speaker 2: That's all for today.
- 46:02Speaker 3: That's it.
- 46:03Speaker 2: But but we do have a Thursday episode.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Oh tell me about it, becha.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I'm so excited because we are having Becca Moore on
- 46:11Speaker 2: the podcast. Becca is a TikToker, She's hilarious, and she
- 46:17Speaker 2: is recently announced that she's dating Shannon Beveridge, who was
- 46:21Speaker 2: on our podcast a few months ago. And I'm so
- 46:24Speaker 2: excited to talk to her. We have a very similar.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Path in our and similar names, the same name, so similar,
- 46:33Speaker 1: so similar, it's the same.
- 46:35Speaker 2: So we'll be talking to her this Thursday. And that's that.
- 46:40Speaker 1: We love you, We love you, We love you like
- 46:46Speaker 1: so much, so much.
- 46:50Speaker 2: And we hope you have the best week.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and stay healthy, please, everybody.
- 46:57Speaker 2: This is stay healthy.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm serious. Whatever's go around is pretty wild. Tawny the
- 47:01Speaker 1: other day she asked if I could come early because
- 47:03Speaker 1: she was like, all my clients are sick. I was like, damn, damn,
- 47:08Speaker 1: you infected them.
- 47:08Speaker 2: I imagine going around the city with her virus.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Anywhoy
