- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:37Hi, it's Adam here, and you're about to listen to a hypnosis
- 0:41session all about breaking a dependency on ketamine.
- 0:46And ketamine is one of those treatments that has been gaining
- 0:52popularity. Because.
- 0:54It has been. Proven to have.
- 0:56Positive impacts on people with anxiety, some elements of
- 0:59depression and enhanced neuroplasticity.
- 1:03But with anything that has benefits it can lead to
- 1:07dependencies and I was working with a client that.
- 1:11Had really used. It to make several
- 1:12breakthroughs, but now they were in a position where they felt
- 1:16that they were becoming too reliant on ketamine to live
- 1:20their life in the way that they wanted.
- 1:23What this hypnosis session does is it treats it like you can
- 1:28bank the benefits of everything that it's done up to this point.
- 1:31But. Without needing to keep using
- 1:34it. And it uses a metaphor of
- 1:36training wheels on a child's bike.
- 1:39Because. Training wheels can be very
- 1:41useful for a young child to learn how to ride because they
- 1:45don't fall off, but it's only ever meant to be a temporary
- 1:50measure. If a child is using the training
- 1:53wheels for too long, then they start becoming too dependent and
- 1:56they start believing that they can't ride the bike without
- 1:59them. And that's a very good metaphor
- 2:01for any drug that has a time when it was useful but is now
- 2:06becoming dependent. And I would say this session
- 2:10could also work for people that have used the GLP 1 treatments.
- 2:16Now whether? That's Ozempic or Monjaro.
- 2:19Those kind of medications may have had a time when they were
- 2:23beneficial, but if people can only maintain a weight if they
- 2:27keep using them. Again.
- 2:29You've got that element of dependency.
- 2:31So this session uses regression to a time where they did not
- 2:34have any ketamine and felt very clear headed, very resourceful
- 2:39and in a good place. And it uses.
- 2:41That to remind them that actually they probably don't
- 2:44need ketamine anymore. So if you can relate to ketamine
- 2:48or any other medication that you feel too dependent and you feel
- 2:51like you've had the benefits, but now you're just getting the
- 2:53dependency, you will get some value from this session.
- 2:57It was created for an individual though, therefore.
- 3:00Some of the. References to being on a lake
- 3:03house in India probably won't make sense for you if you've
- 3:06never been to a lake house in India and haven't felt good
- 3:09without any dependency in that place.
- 3:12But at a metaphorical level, it can still work for you.
- 3:15So just disregard any suggestions that don't directly
- 3:18fit you. Absorb and accept any
- 3:21suggestions that are beneficial. And if you are interested in
- 3:25working with me directly, have a look either on my website
- 3:27adamcox.co.uk or in the description to this episode and
- 3:32you'll be able to find all the details to explore working with
- 3:35me directly. For now, though, all I want you
- 3:37to do is to find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:40won't be distracted or disturbed.
- 3:43Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 4:05breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 4:10relaxation. And as you exhale, give
- 4:19permission for any tension, stress, or worries to feel like
- 4:24it's melting away and leaving your body in your outward
- 4:29breath, breathing in a wonderful feeling of peace and calm and
- 4:39releasing any chaos and tension. So much so that each breath
- 4:45facilitates A deeper, more relaxing experience.
- 4:54With your eyes closed and eyelids feeling heavier, you're
- 4:58able to focus more on the sound of my voice.
- 5:03Each breath takes you deeper and more relaxed, enabling neural
- 5:14pathways to be more receptive to change.
- 5:18And as your physical body relaxes, your imagination
- 5:24awakens. So just scan your body and see
- 5:34if you can assess any ways to improve the comfort.
- 5:40Of your position. Take a deep breath in and just
- 5:48release as you exhale. Then another slow breath in and
- 5:56an even slower breath as you exhale.
- 6:04And with each breath, allow your body to settle your shoulders,
- 6:11soften and relax your jaw, unclench.
- 6:16Release even more now and just quiet in your mind.
- 6:23This hypnosis isn't about forcing anything to happen, it
- 6:29simply allows the mind to reconnect and recalibrate with
- 6:37something that already exists within you.
- 6:45And as your breathing becomes slower and steadier, don't be
- 6:50surprised if your imagination in your mind can travel.
- 6:58Some people believe in astral projection, that your
- 7:05imagination can travel in space but also in time.
- 7:11And I want you to think of a place and time where you felt at
- 7:17peace, a time when you felt clear headed.
- 7:23And maybe that place was far away, a different continent, a
- 7:31different country, ours outside a large city.
- 7:36I want you to think of a large lake house next to a tranquil
- 7:43lake, far away from the chaos, the energy of the city.
- 7:52And I want you to connect with somewhere quieter, maybe
- 7:58recognize the place, or maybe your imagination creates a new
- 8:01place like it. You could think of a lake house
- 8:06beside calm water, with large trees that seem to have been
- 8:14intentional. They were planted or moved there
- 8:20to enhance the surrounding. You could imagine leaves and
- 8:26branches, and I want you to imagine the sun setting there by
- 8:33the lake, and perhaps as evening arrives the air becomes softer
- 8:40and cooler. The sky above it starts filling
- 8:46with bright stars, clear, vivid, endless.
- 8:54Not just stars, but galaxies, nebula.
- 9:00I want you to imagine how it felt to be there.
- 9:06Peaceful, clear headed, self trusting and in that moment
- 9:16realized that you didn't need anything to enhance it.
- 9:22No need for it, just you thinking clearly, speaking
- 9:31naturally, feeling resourceful. And I want you to think what it
- 9:41would be like to be by the stillness of the lake, all on
- 9:47your own. There may be other people
- 9:49nearby, maybe in the lake house or further away, but just
- 9:54connect with you. The gentle movement of water,
- 9:59the quiet sounds of nature. Connect without feeling of
- 10:04safety and calm. And as you sit or stand near
- 10:10that lake, I want you to imagine a wonderful feeling.
- 10:19A feeling of connection clarity, that just as your normal
- 10:26pathways can connect, you can connect.
- 10:30And what if this place wasn't just a location?
- 10:38What if this facilitated a state of mind, a pocket of peace?
- 10:45Some people believe that any emotion, any sensation you
- 10:50experience, even just once, can be harnessed, replicated, and
- 10:56utilized again. Because the interesting thing
- 11:01about a pocket is that you can take it with you.
- 11:07I want you to imagine that peaceful, clear feeling by the
- 11:11lake. I want you to imagine where that
- 11:16clear headedness feels. Is it by your temple, the back
- 11:22of your head, the top of your head, or just there around your
- 11:26head? Imagine a colour that represents
- 11:32that clear headedness. Maybe a shape or a sound.
- 11:37And the more you think of that colour, that shape, that sound,
- 11:42the more the pocket of peace and clear headedness begins settling
- 11:47deeper inside you. And then imagine that self
- 11:55trust. Maybe you feel it somewhere
- 11:59deeper. The gut, the solar plexus, the
- 12:03chest. And if that had a colour, a
- 12:07shape, a sound, what would self trust feel like?
- 12:13What would it be like? And the combination of that
- 12:18clear headedness and that self trust is your pocket of peace.
- 12:25Whenever you think of these colours, sounds and shapes,
- 12:29whenever you breathe, the way you breathe there by the lake,
- 12:35it's like reaching into that pocket of peace and feeling.
- 12:40You can access that state whenever you need it, even in a
- 12:46busy city, even in difficult moments.
- 12:54And from this peaceful state, I wonder if you can detach and
- 12:59look at your journey with honesty and wisdom.
- 13:05Maybe there was a time when ketamine served a purpose.
- 13:10It helped open new perspectives. Maybe it helped your brain
- 13:16become more flexible, adaptable. Maybe it gave you the ability to
- 13:23see new ones and Shades of Grey where before it was just black
- 13:27and white. Maybe it'll help you discover
- 13:31parts of yourself that had always been there but locked.
- 13:36New levels of confidence, self belief, creativity and all those
- 13:45benefits are real. But what if now you realize
- 13:52something deeply profound? What if the ketamine was just
- 14:00the key to open up those feelings that were already in
- 14:06you? Ketamine simply helped you
- 14:10access them. I want you to imagine perhaps by
- 14:18the lake, this time in the daytime, or maybe somewhere
- 14:22else. Imagine a child learning to ride
- 14:26a bicycle and at first they use training wheels to stabilize.
- 14:36The training wheels give stability, they give confidence,
- 14:43and they allow the child to learn balance safely and for a
- 14:49time. Those training wheels are
- 14:52helpful because if the child started trying to ride the bike
- 15:01on two wheels immediately, what if they fell off so many times
- 15:07that they created a belief that wasn't true, that they couldn't
- 15:12ride the bike. But when they learned to ride
- 15:16the bike with the training wheels, something interesting
- 15:20happens. They create a belief and
- 15:23identity that they can ride the bike, but if the training wheels
- 15:29stay on too long and they stop helping, they actually start
- 15:36holding the rider back because the child stops learning how to
- 15:42balance and then becomes dependent on the training
- 15:47wheels. When the child already has the
- 15:51skill, already has the confidence, keeping the training
- 15:57wheels on becomes an impediment, not an advantage.
- 16:06And then imagine seeing the training wheels come off, not
- 16:12because they were bad, but simply because they served their
- 16:17purpose and now they are no longer needed.
- 16:25And imagine seeing that child, nervous, daunted because they
- 16:33got used to the training wheels and then they wobble.
- 16:39But then they find their balance and the moment they are riding
- 16:45faster and further than ever before.
- 16:51If you were to ask the child if they want to have those training
- 16:55wheels put back on, of course they would say no, because life
- 17:02is better without them. And as you imagine sitting or
- 17:08standing by that peaceful lake, you realize that you can bank
- 17:15everything useful. What if you could keep the
- 17:23insights, the confidence, the expanded thinking, the
- 17:29creativity? What if all of those things
- 17:33remain because they belong to your brain?
- 17:39The mind has already changed, The locks have already been
- 17:46opened, the growth has already happened, and now your mind
- 17:54understands something powerful. Since you've used them so often,
- 18:01you can access these states naturally, clearly, soberly, and
- 18:10when your mind is clear headed. What's interesting is those
- 18:15qualities actually become stronger, more stable, more
- 18:23reliable. And as you look out across the
- 18:29lake, I want you to begin to see a hologram of you in your future
- 18:36forming. It almost seems to have an
- 18:41evolved identity, a version of you that is subtly different.
- 18:48Maybe it's back in the city, but you still look calm, centred,
- 18:54self trusting. And if you were to describe that
- 18:58future version of you, you would say clear headed or self
- 19:06trusting. But this identity has one
- 19:12crucial difference. There is no dependency or desire
- 19:18for ketamine because that version of you trusts your mind.
- 19:27They trust your ability to think clearly.
- 19:33They trust your ability to handle life without needing any
- 19:38chemical assistance. That version of you does not
- 19:42need the training wheels. And just as you felt this way in
- 19:49India, you can feel this way in the present and the future
- 19:59because every day you decide you don't need it.
- 20:03Self trust grows stronger. Every time you handle a
- 20:08difficult situation sober, your brain records the evidence that
- 20:13you can do this. That you already have what you
- 20:17need. And what if that trust becomes
- 20:21stronger than any substance? You've banked all the benefits
- 20:28and now broken free of the shackles of those training
- 20:33wheels that you don't need anymore, because all of those
- 20:37resources come from within, and the more you trust yourself, the
- 20:45less any external thing is needed.
- 20:51And I want you to imagine placing that lake, the stars,
- 20:56the trees, even all of the nature of that part of India
- 21:02inside your mind into a pocket, as if that place becomes a
- 21:09permanent inner refuge, a pocket of peace that you carry with you
- 21:16everywhere. And whenever you need calm, you
- 21:21can return there. Whenever you need clarity, you
- 21:27can return there. And whenever you want to
- 21:31remember who you truly are, without the influence of
- 21:36ketamine, you can return there. Clear headed, self trusting, and
- 21:45most importantly, free. Because from this point forward,
- 21:52ketamine simply becomes an echo of the past, a temporary tool, a
- 22:01set of training wheels. They were useful for a time, but
- 22:07not only no longer necessary, now they are the impediment.
- 22:15Because you already know how to balance.
- 22:18You already know how to move forward.
- 22:21You already know how to trust yourself.
- 22:25And as that understanding settles deeper into your mind,
- 22:31that quiet confidence begins to grow.
- 22:35The confidence of someone who truly knows you have what you
- 22:40need, your mind is clear and your trust is within you.
- 22:46I want you to imagine leaving the lake, floating all the way
- 22:57up into the stars, and then returning all the way to your
- 23:03present. Reverse that astral projection
- 23:08back to the here and the now as you take a deep breath in
- 23:13through your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:19Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate
- 23:23into the here and the now as very soon I will count from 1:00
- 23:28to 10:00 to awaken you. And you will awaken feeling
- 23:32clear headed, full of self trust, with a feeling that
- 23:36ketamine is no longer something you need and in fact don't even
- 23:42want. Starting to count. 123 waking up
