- 0:03Jasmine, oolong, green and white.
- 0:07Long ago, these four tees were skilfully brewed at the Blissful Brew.
- 0:11Then, everything changed when the shop's popularity threatened its existence.
- 0:17All Mr.
- 0:17Okran, the shop's owner and teammaster, could do was to recruit four teenage orphans to learn his trade and staff his shop.
- 0:26A year has passed since the orphans were hired, and although their skills have progressed, they still have a lot to learn before they can brew anything.
- 0:34But I believe that they have the potential to make the Blissful Brew the greatest tea shop in the world.
- 0:41Last time on Benders and Brews an Avatar Legends Podcast we've got two individuals, Bill and Guo, who are both helping Mr.
- 0:49Okran set up.
- 0:51On the other hand, we have Rock and Mika, who have disguised themselves like members of the hot leaf juice.
- 0:57Or take a banana.
- 0:58You and you, I need you to go with Cove all into town and bring me back some very important tea ingredients.
- 1:06He has a list.
- 1:07She points at me.
- 1:08Yes, I'm going to drop my banana peel on it, and then I'm going to be very dramatic and falling in hopes that I knock some of their tea glasses over.
- 1:18Yep, sure enough, you come crashing down, knocking down a pretty pefty handful of cups.
- 1:23One more slip up like that, and you're fired.
- 1:27Now get out there and get me those ingredients.
- 1:30I'm going to turn to the guy who has lists, and I'm going to say, why don't we divide up things on the list so we can get more work done faster? He kind of just tears the list in half and then hands you guys one half.
- 1:42I take it.
- 1:43See, I remember everyone getting into the cart back in Boston, say, and I don't remember seeing you.
- 1:49And then he takes up a fighting stance.
- 1:51You better give me that paper.
- 1:53And then scram.
- 1:54And so you use your sweat and you subtly bend it underneath you to make a puddle of mud, and you slap that paper into the mud and run away.
- 2:02Over at the Blissful, Bruce Stand, if you could come with me, we are having the opening ceremony.
- 2:09He has a few words he'd like to say, and thanks to everyone that has made this party possible.
- 2:14Sure, I'll go ahead.
- 2:16I'll stay and defend this thing.
- 2:17All right.
- 2:18Welcome, one and all, to the annual summer bash.
- 2:21Do you want to come up on stage with me? Yes.
- 2:24We have a much more quaint tea shop, mr.
- 2:28Okuron's Blissful Groove.
- 2:30I, like trying to raise my fist.
- 2:32People got to dig the energy.
- 2:33They're like, okay, the plot kind of grows just a little bit.
- 2:37As many of you know, I am an avid mask collector.
- 2:41So as a special event tonight, take yourself a mask and put it on.
- 2:47The game will play like this.
- 2:49It is your duty to determine those behind their masks.
- 2:53The only one mask member remains that individual be pronounced the winner and take home a nice bag of 250.
- 3:03There's a table set up, a whole bunch of spirit masks.
- 3:07Obviously miss the one.
- 3:09I am going to go into some of the rooms of the house looking for a different piece of clothing.
- 3:14And welcome back to Benders and Brews and Avatar Legends.
- 3:18Actual play Podcast, where we actually play Avatar Legends.
- 3:22Ironically, last week last episode rather, we didn't have Connor, aka Broccoli, with us.
- 3:28This week, we have Connor, aka Broccoli with us.
- 3:31What's up? But we do not have Michaela, aka Mica with us.
- 3:40But that's okay.
- 3:42Mika did a lot last episode.
- 3:44And so we're going to give her a little bit of a break, and we'll check back in with the three bros, the three boys of the group, or men.
- 3:53I don't know, wherever it's going to be an episode of Guys Being Dudes.
- 4:01Welcome back to another episode of Guys Being Dudes.
- 4:04Shaw.
- 4:04Dude Shaw.
- 4:06We've got surfer dude.
- 4:08We've got I don't know, what would that be, David? What is that? Pizza delivery board.
- 4:17Yeah, got your pizza.
- 4:20And then whatever Cameron's version of a dude is.
- 4:24Jeez, bro.
- 4:26Anxious dude.
- 4:28Cool.
- 4:29The one that's always like, we should be doing this, guys, I'm hungry.
- 4:38I need some snacks.
- 4:41All right, perfect.

- 5:30Just throwing that one out there before we just jump right in.
- 5:34Drama.
- 6:06loop.
- 6:07Okay, so to start us off, we are going to asking you guys your character question for the day.
- 6:13Today's question is, what does your character want to grow up to be? Whether that be a job or some other dream, aspiration whatever you want to call it, career, hobby.
- 6:26But whatever the case, what do you want to be when you grow up? Cameron, do you want to start us off with Bill Doors? Sure, I guess.
- 6:35Bill Door wants to be like his dad.
- 6:39That's his goal.
- 6:40His dad is an engineer and he's highly regarded in his community, and his dad is always a protector of the family.
- 6:52And those are the three qualities, job quality and respect that Bill Door wants.
- 7:01Right on.
- 7:03Learn a little bit about Bill Door today in this boy's night and this boys night.
- 7:08Boys nights for feelings and sharing.
- 7:13Dave A-K-A GuoHan.
- 7:15Guaujan GuoHan also wants to be similar to Bill Door dad.
- 7:26No, just kidding.
- 7:30But he secretly does want to be a dad, not like in the near future.
- 7:38But he looks at these father figures and he looks back on his life so far, and he wishes that he could be that person for somebody, somebody to take care of them, somebody to watch out for him, to provide for them, to be that support.
- 8:00But it's kind of secretly because he doesn't really think he can do it.
- 8:06He wants to step up and be what he never had.
- 8:09But he scared maybe the past and the influence that had on him might be too much for him to push past.
- 8:17Right.
- 8:18Doesn't know if he can rise above.
- 8:20Wow.
- 8:26emotional.
- 8:27Sizing.
- 8:27All right, Connor, just bring us home.
- 8:30I don't got any emotional thing, I think, for Broccoli.
- 8:39I feel that even though the Earth Rumble career, which we might be getting into in some episodes coming up stay tuned.
- 8:49That's right.
- 8:49The Earth Rumble career started out for only providing for his family with some extra money.
- 8:56I think he's really taking a liking to it.
- 8:58So I think he wants to sort of overtake the league, so to speak.
- 9:04Okay.
- 9:05Be the best in the nation from the Rumble.
- 9:08There you go.
- 9:09I like it.
- 9:11That's right.
- 9:13Yeah.
- 9:13We're going to get emotional and we're going to get sentimental.
- 9:17Wrestle.
- 9:19We're going to wrestle.
- 9:19Afterwards, we're going to smash each other with you.
- 9:23Like a proper Boyd night sleepover.
- 9:26I think we've already figured out the title for this episode.
- 9:33Perfect.
- 9:34That saves me a lot of thinking.
- 9:36If it were to come down to me as the DM, my goal is to I'm going to be the very best, the best that ever was.
- 9:46Catching them will be my real testing.
- 9:49Training them will be my cause.
- 9:54Is that in Avatar again? I've only seen the movie.
- 9:57Why do you have to ruin it? Why have you ruined boys night? This is when everyone pulse new pillows.
- 10:07Awesome.
- 10:08Well, with that being said, and with us knowing a little bit more about everybody's character, let's jump into geronimo.
- 10:19Last time, we found ourselves at the start of the big party that we've been kind of looking into and waiting for and leading up to pretty much this whole time.
- 10:29So the party has begun, things have started.
- 10:33Guests have arrived.
- 10:35Guests have been getting tea, no less, which is obviously a key importance to all of this.
- 10:41We have quo and bill are hanging out with Mr.
- 10:45O'Rourke, trying to keep things tip top into the utmost quality.
- 10:52Over at the Blissful Brew booth, on the other hand, you have Mika, who's nobody's really for sure where Mika is, but she's somewhere out there doing her Roguish thing around the party.
- 11:03And then we have good old Brock Lee just hanging out in disguise.
- 11:08Undercover.
- 11:10There's another word I'm blanking on, but it's basically just incognito.
- 11:15Incognito over at Hot Leaf Juice booth, posing us as one of their many employees, and that's where we're actually going to pick things off.
- 11:26So, Brock, when last episode, we didn't have these.
- 11:30So what was Brock Lee doing at the time when everybody else was kind of getting everything ready and finishing putting those final touches on, setting up? So last I recall, I traits Hot Leaf Juice and their company While they were all setting up, I was able to secure a couple of crates full of tea and cups and whatnot, and if I remember correctly, I catapulted them into the maze that's right in the backyard.
- 12:07And from there, I believe I just tried to go on and blend in.
- 12:14Can I ask, is the party fully started right now? Well, I was going to give you an opportunity.
- 12:19If there was anything that you wanted to do in the short in between before the party fully got kicked into place, there's anything you wanted to do? If not, if you were just keeping your head down and laying low until opportunity arose, that's totally fine.
- 12:35I think I will do that.
- 12:36I'll try and lay low until I'm able to sort of sabotage them again.
- 12:42Sure.
- 12:43All right.
- 12:44Well, then let's just jump right in.
- 12:46The party is in full swing at this point.
- 12:48They have held the opening ceremony, which you would have seen go down during the opening ceremony.
- 12:53The owner of the house, Mr.
- 12:56Yotaku, he presented a game to the people that were in attendance.
- 13:01This is sort of a masquerade game where everybody changed into a new outfit and put on a mask.
- 13:08And there's a monetary prize going out to whoever can sort of be the last mask standing.
- 13:16As they go about the party, they can try to guess and say, hey, I think you're so and so.
- 13:20And if they get it right, the person has to take their mask off.
- 13:23If they get it wrong, they have to take their own mask off.
- 13:26So it's a very difficult game of clever determining and deduction.
- 13:31And you knowing that you were helping with the boot, that wasn't the most interesting thing ever.
- 13:37It was kind of intriguing, but you were like, Well, I'm not participating, so who cares? But the thing that was kind of neat was you watched during the opening ceremony.
- 13:44You got to see Mr.
- 13:45Ocaron and Guo went up on stage as he was kind of the owner of the house.
- 13:50Mr.
- 13:50Yuki was kind of having each of the caterers come up, giving everybody that was in attendance kind of a brief description of what it is that they serve.
- 13:58So that way they knew if I go up to their booth, what am I looking at here? Nobody likes to go to those parties, and they see something fancy and they grab it and they go to take a bite.
- 14:07It's like something really weird, like it looked like cheese, but it turned out to be like this weird flavored tofu it's.
- 14:14Kind of a courtesy to let everybody know what it is.
- 14:17Yeah, like when you're six years old and you think there's ice cream in the middle of the table, and you take a big spoonful and it was just a ball of butter the whole time, when they scoop it just right, it does kind of look like ice cream.
- 14:31I've seen that happen before.
- 14:33May or not be based on a real life event.
- 14:37The secrets that come out during boys night.
- 14:39Yeah, but anyway, so you got to see them go up on stage.
- 14:44Glow did this a little bit while he was up there.
- 14:47We kind of raised his fist and sort of almost victory symbol, and it got the crowd kind of excited.
- 14:54There was some energy to it, so they were feeling it.
- 14:56They're excited to be at this party, so they went right along with it.
- 15:01And it was kind of cool to see that.
- 15:03But otherwise you're back to work at the Hot Leaf juice booth, and things are heated right now at the Hot Leaf Juice booth.
- 15:10Oh, yes.
- 15:12Madame Yang is pacing back and forth.
- 15:16She's actually wearing a mask.
- 15:17But you know who she is.
- 15:20I don't know if I've ever canonically met Madame Yang.
- 15:23I think you saw her from a distance approaching when she was getting out of the Hot Leaf juice cart.
- 15:28When they first approached, mika was outside, tried to drop water on them.
- 15:33You were out there as we were heading out to the cart.
- 15:36So you would have at least seen her.
- 15:38But to be honest with you, a lot of things give her away.
- 15:42Between her hairstyle, her height, her very just kind of intimidating, imposing figure, you almost wonder if she's just wearing the mask more for fun.
- 15:54Like everybody knows she is, and she's just trying to kind of, like, play along with the whole game and stuff like that.
- 16:00So you're not sure if she's really participating per se, but you also know because she's been yelling at all of the employees pretty intensely for the last since the party started, basically, she's very frustrated about missing ingredients.
- 16:16Some employees, actually, she had sent out to go get ingredients came back.
- 16:19They only came back with half of what she needed.
- 16:22She's pretty upset with them about that.
- 16:25In turn, they're upset, so they're kind of like, beaten down on everybody else because they're in trouble.
- 16:31And you always kind of want to pass the blame to the next person.
- 16:34Things along those lines.
- 16:35So there's that going on.
- 16:37Everybody's really stressed out, and you're kind of in the middle of this, where you're in an interesting position of I'm glad to see that everybody's stressed out, but it is kind of annoying to have people yelling at me.
- 16:47Yeah.
- 16:49Tell me about what are you up to right now? Which job position are you kind of holding right now within the business plan? I got a couple of ideas of what I could be doing, but it's sort of depends on what the layout of this hot leaf juice booth is.
- 17:09So for now, I'm just trying to blend in, pick a job that seems like it needs to be filled and keep my head down as of right now.
- 17:19But I would like to know how hot leaf juice operates with their tea.
- 17:26Do they wait to pour it until somebody orders it, or is it sort of like there's tea on the table already poured in their cups, and people will just walk up and grab it? Right.
- 17:36Well, it's funny you say that.
- 17:38You said you were looking for a job to be filled, and ironically, the thing that came to mind was perfect.
- 17:43He's filling cups.
- 17:44Okay.
- 17:45So it's a whole, like, two tables that are just covered in saucer and tea cup, and then you've got a couple of people, one of which I assumed would be yourself, withholding teapots and quickly pouring more tea.
- 17:59If somebody comes by and they take a cup, and then they walk over and there's another table that has some other things they are very big on, the employee is doing it all for you.
- 18:09So nobody puts their own honey in their cup.
- 18:12The employee scoops a little bit out to tell me when or is it in their cup.
- 18:18This is perfect.
- 18:18Yeah.
- 18:19So I am filling teacups.
- 18:22Ready for this? So I'm filling teacups, but in my right hand, I've got the teapot, like the handle.
- 18:33The left hand is, like, supporting it, but in my left hand, I have the little bag of tiny rocks.
- 18:39Oh, okay.
- 18:40I sneakily put one tiny rock in each cup as the thing is pouring.
- 18:47Okay.
- 18:48And when I see, like, somebody picks up the teacup, I earth bend the rock back to me, breaking the cup.
- 18:55Oh, no.
- 18:56Spilling tea everywhere.
- 18:58And how often are you doing this? Every ten cups.
- 19:03What was my wife ten cups? Every ten cups, I put a little pebble in, and I wait.
- 19:10Okay.
- 19:11I wait for someone to grab the cup and start drinking.
- 19:14Sure.
- 19:15I'm going to say that nobody would suspect anything for sure, at least for the first three.
- 19:21But rolling a trick with creativity.
- 19:25Okay.
- 19:26So I have a plus one.
- 19:27Creative.
- 19:27Okay.
- 19:27Awesome.
- 19:34It doesn't work, does it? I don't know.
- 19:36That was so clever.
- 19:38It works the first three times, but they start to get kind of frustrated.
- 19:44A couple of the employees are looking at you, and they're like, I don't know what you're doing.
- 19:47If you're cooling the cups cooled or something, and you're pouring the hot liquid too fast, I don't know what you're doing, but you need to go somewhere else.
- 19:55Go help them lift the fresh tea out from the bat and pour it into the separate you're a strong guy.
- 20:03Go do that.
- 20:04Is that still in this area, or do I need to go somewhere else? I mean, everything's happening within their section of the ballroom.
- 20:11Okay.
- 20:11So, I mean, it's just, like, a few tables over.
- 20:13They've got the big heating bat where they're heating up the teeth, and somebody will pick up a section of it and kind of start pouring it into very carefully into the teapot, which will then take over and into the cups.
- 20:27Can I do the same thing, but with the VAT? It's like a metal VAT.
- 20:30Okay.
- 20:32All right.
- 20:33But as you go over there, madame Ying, she disappeared for a little bit.
- 20:37Like, she went to go look around.
- 20:38She comes back.
- 20:40She looks just as flustered, if not more flustered than she did before.
- 20:45She's sweating.
- 20:46She's red.
- 20:46She takes off her mask so that you guys can see her, because, again, she's not really, like, participating participating in the whole mask for a game.
- 20:54And she says, okay, I want everyone's attention.
- 21:01Earlier, I discovered there was a mole among our ranks, someone pretending to work for hot leaf juice in order to sabotage us and make us fall behind.
- 21:15And I have a theory that she was not working alone.
- 21:21One of you, I believe, is working with her, and I will have none of that.
- 21:28So I'm going to have a little sit down with everyone, starting with you.
- 21:36And she points out one of them not you brought to you, but just a different one.
- 21:40And you watch as they start walking through the ballroom and over, kind of out of sight, still in the building.
- 21:47They didn't go out the front door.
- 21:48You can kind of see the front door to the house from where you're at.
- 21:52It sucks for Gary.
- 21:53I bet he's probably the mall.
- 21:55That guy has been rubbing me the wrong way all night.
- 21:57I don't know about you guys.
- 21:58So did Madame Yang.
- 22:01How many hot Leaf Juice employees are we talking here? We're talking probably about almost a dozen.
- 22:07She comes fully staffed.
- 22:09She has multiple people in one spot.
- 22:11The one thing that she has going right right now with everything else that's going wrong is that she has enough employees to keep things moving.
- 22:21She doesn't have all the ingredients that she needs to make the tea the way that she wants it.
- 22:26And you recognize that as somebody that was serving helping to pour the tea? The ones that you didn't chatter, you did notice that some people just were like, it's okay.
- 22:36It's nothing special, so they don't seem really, like, inspired by any means by this tea.
- 22:44It's not what it's supposed to be.
- 22:45That's true, because you got rid of a lot of ingredients.
- 22:48Obviously, you had destroyed some of their glasses.
- 22:51So the way they've made up for that is they just have an extra couple of their employees that are furiously washing through tea cups, trying to get them back out and clean as quickly as they possibly can, which, again, has affected the rest of the staff.
- 23:03Obviously, having fewer people to make sure that things are running correctly and smoothly is not easy on those that have to kind of make up the difference.
- 23:12So we'll switch over to Bill and Glow.
- 23:18So Bill and Glow, you guys are over at the Blissful Brew, and you guys are experiencing a little bit of problems of your own.
- 23:25Ironically, with all the failure that Hot leaf Juice has been experiencing, you guys have experienced a lot of that success from that.
- 23:35Customers are kind of like, the tea over there is not all that great.
- 23:38Let's go outside.
- 23:40It's a nice day.
- 23:40It's a nice afternoon.
- 23:42We can watch as the sun reset, enjoy the fresh air, and I heard they've got some pretty good tea out of there.
- 23:48On the other hand, now, obviously, that's a great thing, but the negative side is now you've got quite a big line of customers that are starting to develop outside, and it's getting to be a little bit of a lot between three people.
- 24:02And Mr.
- 24:03Oak Brown is trying to make sure the team is being made correctly, so he's working hard to get that done.
- 24:08Bill, you're directly serving the customers, I assume, and then you're kind of an in between guy.
- 24:16I mean, you've got a couple of different options and jump around between, I suppose.
- 24:21I'm helping, Phil.
- 24:22I'm helping.
- 24:24Steep stakes are high, and you got to let it fly.
- 24:27That's right.
- 24:28Now, as things are growing in the hustle and bustle of these customers coming through.
- 24:34Bill, out of the corner of your eye, you do notice that that guy from earlier, that guy that you saw that looked a little sketchy, seemed to be probably a fire vendor somewhere around your age, maybe a little bit older.
- 24:46He's still kind of scouting around the area.
- 24:49He's kind of left the gazebo, and he's kind of trying to slowly kind of, like, make his way closer.
- 24:54Real nonchalantly as best you can.
- 24:56Now you've caught him already as, like, a sketchy figure to keep an eye on.
- 25:00So you notice as he is kind of moving in, you're not like, oh, man, you've really tricked me, but he is moving in.
- 25:07Can I just keep glancing at him while I'm helping people? Yeah, if you want to take a moment to turn around and maybe do something intimidating or something, you can definitely turn around.
- 25:18He's behind me.
- 25:19Yeah, because you have your booth which is right next to kind of the pathway, like, the big main path that a lot of people come down.
- 25:25The gazebo is kind of back behind you.
- 25:28There's a hedge between you and the gazebo.
- 25:31Okay.
- 25:31If you want.
- 25:32So when I turn around to get more ingredients that stroke Run is using to prep, I figured I was taking orders and getting side ingredients while he did all the cooking stuff.
- 25:44Sure.
- 25:44When I turn around to go grab more ingredients from our little cart, I see him, and I just stop, and I just give him, like, a depth layer.
- 25:53Okay.
- 25:54Do an intimidate.
- 25:57Okay.
- 25:58You get to pick one that they cannot choose from that list, which is they run to escape or get back up.
- 26:06They back down to keep watch.
- 26:08They give in with a few stipulations, or they attack you, but off balance, so you can choose one they don't get to choose.
- 26:15I don't want them to attack.
- 26:16That's my last case.
- 26:18Sure.
- 26:18I can't choose that one.
- 26:19Okay.
- 26:20He's too scared to attack.
- 26:21Okay.
- 26:21That's the best way he is going to run.
- 26:25He's going to escape to get back up.
- 26:27I see him run off.
- 26:28Yeah.
- 26:29After Bill sees him run off, he just kind of grabs his ingredients, and he turns around and goes back to helping customers with an award winning smile.
- 26:37That's right.
- 26:39That's why they put Bill up front out of ten.
- 26:43Wow.
- 26:44Anything specific or anything that you wanted to add that you'd be doing? I mean, while all this is going on, we're trying to keep up with all these customers.
- 26:54I'm keeping an eye out on the game that's going on.
- 26:59Yes, the masquerade.
- 27:02Okay.
- 27:03Are you hoping for anything specific, like catching slip ups or not sure.
- 27:08What else? Like maybe trying to figure it out yourself? I don't know how many people you would necessarily know in the area.
- 27:14Or a subtle hint of jealousy.
- 27:16Gohan and wanting to play, or maybe keep giving sidelong glances over.
- 27:24Cool.
- 27:24Thank you.
- 27:25Party.
- 27:26Sighing really loudly behind him.
- 27:32I noticed nobody's going after Madame Yang.
- 27:35I think they're all scared of her.
- 27:37Probably they just all assume that everyone knows who she is, but I guess no one's bothering to just go guess her.
- 27:46That's my best guess.
- 27:48You think she'll get got before the end of the party? I think she'll be the last one standing.
- 27:55She's the last one standing.
- 27:56It clearly means people are more scared to tell her what her name was than anything.
- 28:01Well, you want to put some money on it? What are we betting on here? What we always bet on toilet duty.
- 28:10Toilet duty.
- 28:12I got some coins jangling around in my pocket.
- 28:17Okay, what are you betting on? I bet she makes it to be the last one.
- 28:25Oh, yeah.
- 28:25Okay.
- 28:26I feel like it's a super simple bet for me to win.
- 28:30I'm going to say, yeah, you're on.
- 28:33And I have a whole two copper bet on that one.
- 28:38That's my life savings right there.
- 28:41All right, you're on.
- 28:43All right, moving forward, we got another bet going on.
- 28:46This one not with bathroom.
- 28:51Just waits.
- 28:53He just waits until he's serving customers, and he waits till someone with a mass comes up.
- 28:59He goes, hey, could you help me out with something real quick? After you giving them their tea, do you see that lady with the really tall hair over there working at Hotlease Juice? Could you just walk over and say, hey, you're Madame Yang for me? I'd be appreciative you'd win me some money, I suppose, plus it betters your chances of winning.
- 29:24And Bill gives them a wink, and from underneath the mask you see him give you a wink because you can just see their eyes.
- 29:30Obviously you can see he gives you a wink and then he takes his teeth.
- 29:34He kind of heads off in that direction.
- 29:37And then Bill turns around and looks at Gohan and gives him a wink.
- 29:50one thing that you do notice is that the few times you guys see Madame Yanks is there set up on the inside of the mansion.
- 29:56When you guys see her, she's usually like just like, shooting by making her rounds, just looking for people, whatever it is that she's up to.
- 30:07But she's racing about building that account for the fact that she's probably too quick to stop.
- 30:14Nobody's guessed it because they can't even they can't even stop her.
- 30:17She says, let's keep going.
- 30:19She's like sasquatch.
- 30:20People see a glimpse of her, and when someone tries us our conversation with her, she grabs one of her Hunchman and just shoves them in front.
- 30:27Talk to them for me.
- 30:29It's like when you get served and noticed to go to court.
- 30:33If they can't say your name and they serve you, then they can't give you the service.
- 30:38Right? Are you Madame Yang? No comment.
- 30:43Walks away.
- 30:45Didn't call it.
- 30:46You asked little known fact about Madame Yang, former high school track star, even in high heels.
- 30:55Well, Mr.
- 30:56O'Brien turns and he says, can confirm.
- 31:00They yell out that piece of detail in your very lengthy backstory, Mr.
- 31:04Oak run.
- 31:06My apologies.
- 31:06I never even got to high school.
- 31:08So what's in high school? Okay, well, then he just continues to talk while we're serving TV.
- 31:14She was involved in every organization, but I never really heard that she actually didn't.
- 31:21Anyways, I'm going to jump back over to Brock.
- 31:28I did notice they were talking about that fire vendor looking guy, looking shady over at our tea stand.
- 31:37You said the rich people, they all change clothes, right? That's right.
- 31:40Are their clothes all in a conveniently placed closet somewhere? When he made the announcement, he had mentioned that they had distributed, so everybody had brought a second outfit when they came, they had distributed everybody's second outfit.
- 31:58That they would change into into the many rooms in the mansion.
- 32:02Everybody kind of as part of their invitation and been told, like, which room they would have their stuff put inside of.
- 32:08So, you know, that pretty much walking into just about any bedroom in this house.
- 32:11You'll probably find a nice, probably not pile of clothes.
- 32:14They'll be nicely folded and waiting for their owners to return to get them.
- 32:18Or even you wonder if, maybe, given the high society of all those, they might honestly just be delivered back to the houses by the end of the night.
- 32:28So there might be staff members that are actually going through the close right now and taking them back over to their houses, but there's going to be some that definitely, by this point, have not been collected yet.
- 32:38Okay.
- 32:39Because I got to change out of the hot leaf juice stuff, so I'm going to go try and find a bedroom that's got any sort of clothes that are relatively my size, try and change into those, and I want to go confront this firebender guy.
- 32:56Okay.
- 32:57Just before you can leave, as you're kind of, like, making your way out, one of the hotlife juice employees and starts yelling at you, kate, where do you think you're going? Get back here and help.
- 33:10I am helping.
- 33:11Some of these glasses broke, so I got to go grab a broom.
- 33:14You don't want people stepping on our broken porcelain and blaming us, right? Oh, jeez.
- 33:18I didn't even notice those, therapies being so focused.
- 33:21Yeah, no, that's a good point.
- 33:22That's a good point.
- 33:23Okay.
- 33:25Yeah.
- 33:25I don't know where the closet is, but I'm sure if you ask one of the staff members who can help you out yeah, I'll find it.
- 33:30No worries.
- 33:31All right, hurry back.
- 33:33We need all the help we can get right now.
- 33:35I believe it.
- 33:36I see all you guys scrub and stuff.
- 33:37Don't worry.
- 33:38I want nothing more than the scrubs and pops.
- 33:40Yeah.
- 33:41Because it makes Madame Yang happy.
- 33:43Those are, like, weird hand things.
- 33:47I'm doing the rock on, but I don't know.
- 33:49He's doing something else.
- 33:50Italian.
- 33:52It makes them Madam Young happy.
- 33:55I just sort of, like, trying to play along, but it's obvious that I have no idea what the hands on is.
- 34:00Makes her happy.
- 34:02Yeah.
- 34:02I'll be right back.
- 34:04And as you're walking away, you see Matt and come back with the previous employee that she took with her, and they kind of look a little bit out of it.
- 34:12They kind of look their eyes are a little bit, like, wider.
- 34:15Their pupils are a little bit dilated.
- 34:19They walk a little bit stiff, and as soon as she brings them back, they go straight to work.
- 34:24She doesn't even say, like, all right, get back to it, or point at a job until they start doing it.
- 34:29They just get to it.
- 34:30Did she trug this man? No.
- 34:33If that's a question for the Doctor.
- 34:35I have not.
- 34:37Not a broker.
- 34:50So obviously, as she brings that employee back, she points at another one and takes them off to go talk to them or whatever it is.
- 34:58So you kind of see which direction they're going in and I don't know.
- 35:01Where are you headed? I'm heading the polar opposite direction from them, trying to find just a room with clothes and a mask.
- 35:10Okay.
- 35:11All I need.
- 35:12Sure.
- 35:12You very easily are able to find a bedroom with clothes in it.
- 35:17You go by a couple that have staff members in it that are, like, folding up clothes, and they're like, okay, these belong to so and so and so.
- 35:26The kind of idea was that you leave your invitation on the previous close.
- 35:30That way they know who they belong to and things like that.
- 35:33They're getting ready, but eventually you kind of figure out, like, oh, they're going room to room.
- 35:37So I'll just go to the next room that they're not at, grab some clothes out of there.
- 35:40So you're able to find some clothes, but you cannot find a mask.
- 35:43When the people lose the game, where do they put their masks? Do they keep them, like, in their pockets or they throw them away? You see, most people hand them off to a staff member.
- 35:53I wonder if maybe somewhere in the back rooms where the staff are operating from, there might be an opportunity to figure out where it is, if they're keeping them.
- 36:05Am I already wearing the new clothes? That's up to you.
- 36:08Do you want to be wearing them or do you want to wait? Yeah, I'm wearing the new clothes.
- 36:11Okay.
- 36:11I'm going to change the new clothes.
- 36:12Okay.
- 36:14You are now wearing some very ornate, earth vendor kind of high society robes.
- 36:22So I want to go up to one of these staff members.
- 36:28I'm going to tell them, like, hey, I never received a mask, and I still like to join in this game if it's not too late.
- 36:36Is that possible? Did you already change your other clothing? I did.
- 36:43Oh, dear me.
- 36:45Yes.
- 36:45Please follow me.
- 36:47Yes, come with me quickly.
- 36:48I will get your mask.
- 36:49Don't let anybody see you.
- 36:51I don't want you to feel like you've had the game ruined for you.
- 36:55Absolutely.
- 36:57I will make sure.
- 36:58Okay.
- 37:00He's got, like, an empty platter.
- 37:02He was, like, handing out our nerves or whatever, and he has an empty platter.
- 37:04He holds it up, but he's not sure where to hold it up next to you because you're a reasonably well, you are a reasonably tall guy.
- 37:11We know that.
- 37:12And so he's trying to cover your face, but then he's like but also he's wearing the clothes, so I need to cover the clothes and, like, oh, which is more recognizable.
- 37:21And then finally he gets you into the back room.
- 37:24Oh, my.
- 37:25Hopefully, nobody will easily screw you.
- 37:28Just follow me.
- 37:29And I will get you to one of the masks.
- 37:32We can find a mask for you.
- 37:33Thank you.
- 37:34I really appreciate it.
- 37:35It's honestly my fault.
- 37:37Don't worry about it.
- 37:39I took a little extra time in the bathroom with the misses, if you know what I mean.
- 37:44Oh, for sure.
- 37:48They won't ask questions.
- 37:51Yeah.
- 37:52And he does look very awkward when you say this.
- 37:54So he just quickly rushes you down the hall and takes you to a room and inside the room.
- 38:02So any masks that are being brought back in.
- 38:05You kind of wonder if maybe they're.
- 38:07Like.
- 38:07Collectibles.
- 38:08Because as you look around.
- 38:09Staff members that are bringing them back in are putting them in very specific places within the room.
- 38:15And so the staff member that you're with, he looks at you and he says, feel free to pick any of the masks that are in the room, except for the one in the center.
- 38:26That is Mr.
- 38:27Yotaku.
- 38:28His pride and joy, you might say.
- 38:31You got it.
- 38:31I will absolutely not even consider touching that one.
- 38:36You have been a great help.
- 38:37Thank you so much.
- 38:38Oh, Jesse, please let me know if you need anything else.
- 38:41He bowed his way out of the room very quickly, bows multiple times as, like, every step back he takes is another bow, and then eventually he's back out.
- 38:51Okay, so obviously I need to get this.
- 38:59Is it, like, on a stick, like, a Masquerade mask, or is it and it's inside of, like, a glass case.
- 39:06Okay, but you don't know whether or not the last case is, like, a locked case or anything.
- 39:14I might need Indiana Jones.
- 39:16That's true.
- 39:19I might want to come back for that.
- 39:21Okay, so where you drop a giant boulder on it.
- 39:26It is Rock signature.
- 39:29Just when in doubt, smash it with a Mash.
- 39:31It with a rock.
- 39:33Rock was cheering for the boulder when he watched that movie.
- 39:37When I grew up fighting a young blind girl, the molder is over his conflicted feelings.
- 39:52All right, so in this storage room, is it just masks, or do they just have boxes? Masks, and there are other stuff.
- 40:01So this is more like a display room, so it's pretty much all masks.
- 40:07Okay.
- 40:08You get the impression that Mr.
- 40:10Yotaku has a thing for masks.
- 40:13And there are a lot of different kinds of masks too.
- 40:15They're regular, like, kind of traditional Masquerade masks.
- 40:19There are masks very similar to the blue spirit mask, kind of along those lines.
- 40:25So a lot of spirit masks which have sort of tie strings in the back to hold them to your head rather than having to hold it.
- 40:34There are, like, Kabuki style masks.
- 40:39Anything that you could kind of think of that has kind of like a Chinese, Japanese, even, like, Korean kind of a tone to it in our world, you could probably find a version of it here in this room.
- 40:55Okay, so I want to grab a mask that can tie in the back.
- 41:01So I have to hold it.
- 41:03Yes.
- 41:03Because if I'm confronting this guy, I don't want to have a disadvantage of only having one hand.
- 41:09Yeah, I've never really understood that at masquerade balls.
- 41:11I'm like, you guys are going to dance.
- 41:12You guys are going to grab your drinks and stuff, and you're going to hold a little stick mask the whole time.
- 41:18Yeah, I never understood that.
- 41:20So I'm going to go grab a mask.
- 41:22Let's go with the blue spirit mask.
- 41:23That's very cool.
- 41:25Classic.
- 41:26Wellback, it might clash with the green of my earth benders higher.
- 41:31So I don't want to stick out like that because it could be spelled bad news because rich people love to match colors and such.
- 41:38I see.
- 41:39So I'm going to grab just a regular black and white kabuki mask.
- 41:43Okay.
- 41:43That ties in the back.
- 41:44I'm going to remember where this room is because I really want to grab that mask, that other mask, and I want to go just back the way I came.
- 41:53But I want to make sure that the servant is out of the way.
- 42:01I want to make sure that I'm not going to run into anybody until I hit the floor where everybody's at? Okay.
- 42:06And I go just cross the floor, and I go and try and confront that fire vendor.
- 42:13Okay.
- 42:13I don't know why I'm gesturing.
- 42:16Okay.
- 42:18Yeah.
- 42:19You walk out of the room, and another key point is any staff members that you do see that are anywhere in the area, they just very quickly, like, bow.
- 42:27They're like, oh, if you need anything, please let us know.
- 42:30Kind of a thing.
- 42:31Nobody's accusing you of anything or anything.
- 42:33They don't assume anything.
- 42:34They get nervous at the idea that you're back here because they're like, oh, man, we must have messed up.
- 42:39Is he an angry customer? Coming back here to be like, oh, man, that banana I ate earlier was a little off or something.
- 42:47So they're glad that, honestly, you walking past them is like, oh, so you easily make it back out onto the floor.
- 42:56As you do, you look over to the hot leaf juice area, and you see, madame Yang has brought back the employee that she took as you were leaving.
- 43:06This one also has kind of that very wide eyed kind of off.
- 43:11Like, you wave your hand in front of them, they might not react.
- 43:14Just seems odd.
- 43:17Goes back to work.
- 43:18She's about to call over the next one, when all of a sudden an individual runs inside and starts whispering in her ear something that obviously you can't hear.
- 43:29Yeah.
- 43:30Got a feeling she's like, hypnotizing these mans or drugging them or both.
- 43:38There is no war in Boston.
- 43:42Judy.
- 43:43My name is Judy.
- 43:45Can I ask them their name? Judy.
- 43:47They don't recognize me, so I could go ask them their names.
- 43:51No, I got to stay focused.
- 43:54We must so many possibilities.
- 43:55We must stay focused.
- 43:59So this Firebender guy, can you give me a brief description? I was not here with no, that's fine.
- 44:06I mean, there wasn't really much description, I guess, before either.
- 44:09That's my bad.
- 44:10So he is wearing whereas most of the employees are wearing kind of like a pink and related tone outfits for the hot leaf juice with the logo on it and stuff like that.
- 44:23He is actually just in a very simple robe that features kind of like red tone colors.
- 44:31So it's like kind of adjacent but not directly like that kind of pink that all the other ones have.
- 44:39So he's a hot leaf juice Floyd.
- 44:41You assume that he must be if he's whispering to Madame Yank, but he doesn't have any insignia on him to suggest that he is.
- 44:48All right, so I'm going to go up to the Blissful Brew table.
- 44:54Okay.
- 44:55I'm going to oh, man.
- 45:13up to the Blissful Brew, grab two teacups.
- 45:18I'm going to kind of wink at them just to sort of like Blissful Brew, and I'm going to walk over to the guy.
- 45:27Do you wink at either of them in particular? I went at both of them at the same time.
- 45:31They mistake it just for blink.
- 45:36Did you see that guy give us a weird blink? Why do you just steal our teacups? What did he even ask? He just walked up and walked away with them.
- 45:45He think he knows they didn't even have teams.
- 45:51Well, no, the audacity of these rich people, not you.
- 45:55And he looks at the house, not you.
- 46:02Oh, no.
- 46:03It feels stupid.
- 46:05Well, why are they on the table if they're going to be empty cups? They're preparing.
- 46:11I go back and I grab cups.
- 46:13Always return.
- 46:19Have you guys? It's me.
- 46:21Give me some tea.
- 46:22I don't know if they know who I am for my voice, but they should know.
- 46:26Okay, riddle man.
- 46:29Thank you.
- 46:30Guau hangs your name.
- 46:37Yo, it's me, Brock Rock.
- 46:39I know Brock.
- 46:41I'm going to go talk to Mans over there.
- 46:43That's giving us some weird looks.
- 46:45Just be prepared.
- 46:47If something goes down, don't tell Mr.
- 46:50Oakler.
- 46:51So I go and I grab the restaurant.
- 46:53Standing right there.
- 46:54Just don't worry about it.
- 46:59Sorry.
- 47:00He's absorbed in his crack.
- 47:02He started mixes and stuff.
- 47:04So I grabbed two full teacups.
- 47:07I walk over, saunter, if you will, to this van.
- 47:11I hand him one of the teacups.
- 47:13I'm like, yeah, it's a good party going on out in there.
- 47:16So why are you just chilling out here? Why don't you go inside and join the fun, the festivities? So this guy turns to you and he says, oh, yes, my name is Timothy.
- 47:29Like the least intimidating.
- 47:31My name is Timothy.
- 47:33It's very nice to meet you.
- 47:35May I ask? Oh, of course.
- 47:38I can ask who you are.
- 47:39You are the best part.
- 47:40My apologies.
- 47:42Of course.
- 47:43I've seen you out here.
- 47:44You haven't really been mingling amongst the rest of us.
- 47:48What's been up out here? What's so exciting out here? Oh, you must forgive me.
- 47:53Call me a tenant soul.
- 47:56I don't always have as much need or initiative to socialize with people.
- 48:04Not that I'm not enjoying our conversation.
- 48:08You have me intrigued.
- 48:09I'm not from around here.
- 48:10I'm actually from Basin SEI.
- 48:13The big sea? Yes.
- 48:17Well, as I heard that one of my favorite tea shops from my hometown is here.
- 48:23I'm in town visiting, so my hometown visiting Blissful Brew.
- 48:27I've always loved their tea.
- 48:28And I saw you looking over at their stand over there and thought maybe you were a little too shy or something to go up and get some, so I went ahead and I brought you some of my favorite tea in the Earth kingdom.
- 48:39And he looks at the tea and he says, well, thank you.
- 48:46And he takes the tea cup, and he goes in for a sip.
- 48:52And he takes a sip.
- 48:55Yes.
- 48:57Okay.
- 48:58Very good.
- 48:58Yes.
- 49:00I'm glad you enjoy it.
- 49:01It's funny.
- 49:03I have a feeling you got to be here for some reason, even if you're not the most social soul.
- 49:08So if you're not the most social and that's not your reason for being here, what brings you over to this party? Oh, well, you might say that I was somebody's plus one.
- 49:19And where are they at? I haven't really seen you interacting with too many people here.
- 49:25Oh, it feels like you've been watching me now.
- 49:29No, not at all.
- 49:31I mean, one man standing outside by himself is a little hard to miss.
- 49:35Oh, my.
- 49:37Wow.
- 49:38The irony that a person doesn't really like socializing, yet he ends up standing out more than anyone else.
- 49:44I suppose.
- 49:45Yes.
- 49:46If you want to blend in, you really got to get up in there.
- 49:49You make a fair point.
- 49:51Yes.
- 49:51No.
- 49:52I am here on behest of Madame Yang.
- 49:57Madame? As I said, I'm a close friend.
- 49:59One might say her plus one to the party.
- 50:02Okay.
- 50:03Not like that, of course.
- 50:06No romantic relations, I assure you.
- 50:09Just strictly platonic.
- 50:13I see.
- 50:14Well, I best leave you here.
- 50:18Otherwise you might think I'm trying to interrogate you or something.
- 50:22No.
- 50:22You enjoy your night.
- 50:23Yes, of course.
- 50:25And she was well so, with that new information, I go back over back over to the Blissful Brew, drop off my teacups, and I'm talking to Guilhan just Guild Han.
- 50:37Honestly, because if I talked to both of them, then it might look a little spicious to Mr.
- 50:43Ocaron.
- 50:44That man over there is with Madame Yang.
- 51:06we're pretty packed right now with customers lined up here partygoers? Yeah, but what do you think we should do? If we can get some more information out of them, we can know.
- 51:24So we can know what he's trying to do because he's just standing out there on his own.
- 51:31There's no reason for him to be standing there.
- 51:32He's with Madam Yang.
- 51:34He could be helping her out.
- 51:35Maybe he's got to be up to something.
- 51:37We could lure him in by leaving a seeming opening in our awareness.
- 51:48What do you suggest? Well, maybe he's trying to even the score with what you guys are doing over there.
- 51:57But you wouldn't know it was us.
- 52:00But has Mika been found out? You wouldn't know.
- 52:07You haven't seen me in quite a while.
- 52:08Actually, regardless of who's doing it, they got to see how successful we're doing over here.
- 52:17They got to.
- 52:17Not like that.
- 52:18True.
- 52:20Do you think if he's going to try something, I think we should lure him into it.
- 52:39sure.
- 52:41So are you just sticking around by them while you think if I walk around and mingle, there's a chance? Well, Madame Yang wouldn't know his name because I got a mask in a new disguise.
- 52:56I'm going to try to nonchalantly follow Madame Yang as she's pulling off those people to the side.
- 53:01Perfect.
- 53:04Yeah.
- 53:05I'm going to try and try and follow her and see where she's taking them.
- 53:10Okay.
- 53:11One of the most fearful things that a DM can ever say to you, which is I was hoping you would do that.
- 53:17But before we cut over to that, we'll jump over.
- 53:20As you walk away, we'll cut over to Bill and wow.
- 53:27I want you guys and I know this is kind of more of a sort of D and D style move to do this, but I want you guys to both roll.
- 53:34Or one of you can help and one of you can roll.
- 53:37It's up to you guys for an assessment situation.
- 53:41Something as you guys are getting things done, something just feels off.
- 53:46Your spider sense is tingling.
- 53:48Something just doesn't seem right.
- 53:51Mr.
- 53:51Okran is super focused making sure everything is man.
- 53:55You guys noticed something is not right.
- 54:00I got an eleven.
- 54:02Nice.
- 54:03I got it, too.
- 54:04Nice.
- 54:05All right.
- 54:09They're badgering me with orders.
- 54:11Right now.
- 54:11You are lost in the soft and the fact that you look a little intently at each one as they pass by because you really want to see who else is winking at you and why and who else is going to just steal our cups.
- 54:25Also, that because it's happened once already.
- 54:28That's right.
- 54:29How many other times has it happened without paying attention? Running off with your cup.
- 54:33Explain that.
- 54:33You say that up.
- 54:34So while you get to ask a question from the list of questions, actually, I think you get because you got an eleven and you get a plus one ongoing when acting on the answer to these questions.
- 54:47So you'll get a plus one for a role relating to doing something about whatever the answer the question is.
- 54:53So the questions that you have the option to ask what here can I use to blank? Who or what is the biggest threat, what should I be on the lookout for? What's the best way out in or through and who or what is in the greatest danger? And I feel like there's a few of these questions that the answer is probably going to end up being the same, but in a good way.
- 55:19What should I be on the lookout for? Okay, perfect.
- 55:22So you should be on the lookout for some sketchy individuals who might be trying to at the very moment seal your tea ingredients from right out of the hand cart.
- 55:36And sure enough as this kind of like inkling in your mind of I feel like we need to keep an eye on things and make sure nothing's being taken from something in your mind clicks.
- 55:48You think, wait a minute, if we destroy the ingredients or some of the ingredients from hot leaf juice, they can't get it from elsewhere.
- 55:55Because you remember Mika came back and she said she destroyed half the list and all this other stuff and you're like, where else could they get the ingredients from? Yeah, exactly.
- 56:06Probably from you guys.
- 56:08And as you turn around, you see two individuals wearing hot leaf juice outfits that look like they are rummaging through your hand cart.
- 56:17Who is the biggest threat? These guys.
- 56:26One of them is pulling a box of ingredients out at this very moment.
- 56:31And you think all it would take from is to get too far away from you that you can't chase them or even just the idea.
- 56:39Like if they ran into the grouping and the party, just like the various partygoers, you might lose them in the crowds and that would obviously be a problem.
- 56:47Okay, so we have partygoers are still actively lining up here.
- 56:54True.
- 56:54Yes.
- 56:56I'm going to take a couple of cups of tea and pretend to trip and throw it on the car.
- 57:03Okay.
- 57:03Hot tea coming at him.
- 57:05Okay.
- 57:08This is why I almost feel like this would jump us into a combat situation.
- 57:15Take them out.
- 57:16Well, hot.
- 57:19Sure.
- 57:20I would also be like Bill, our ingredients, look out.
- 57:28Good thing he said look out.
- 57:30Because Billy's like, yeah, our ingredients, nice.
- 57:35They're pretty solid.
- 57:37People are loving them.
- 57:40When Bill hears that he would immediately turn around these guys, these guys scrumaging through our cart.
- 57:48And you would immediately flick up his bow staff which he's had on his face entire time.
- 57:52Yes.
- 57:53And you also had a plus one.
- 57:55You were prepared.
- 57:57You were technically prepared.
- 57:58The other guy.
- 57:58But I would say that you were prepared.
- 58:00I never took it off my foot.
- 58:01Right.
- 58:01You were prepared for the concept that somebody might try to sabotage.
- 58:06That's what I'm going to say.
- 58:06So technically, both of you have plus one, and we are going to call this an encounter.
- 58:13So we're going to call this a combat situation.
- 58:16Kill him.
- 58:17So you guys will each be picking a combat approach to take this turn, as will they to make my grand kill dead.
- 58:26I don't think that's a normal term in Avatar, but hey, I only watch the movie.
- 58:31Just love to remind us.
- 58:32Focus, people.
- 58:34All right, so we're going to encounter.
- 58:35What would you guys like to do? What is your combat approach going to be? Are you going to defend and maneuver? Are you going to advance an attack, or are you going to evade and observe maneuver? You're going to defend in maneuver.
- 58:46Okay, I'm going to advance an attack.
- 58:49Yeah.
- 58:49We're on this legendary tea cup attack.
- 58:53Well, if that is the case, then rolling with folks.
- 58:57Yes.
- 58:57If you don't know anything about build, he is not the offensive fighter.
- 59:00He is a defensive fighter.
- 59:01He is called the Guardian for a reason.
- 59:03That's true.
- 59:05And then, Guao, since you're doing advanced attack, you will roll with passion.
- 59:08Plus, of course, ten.
- 59:10Okay.
- 59:11You get a plus three.
- 59:13Yes, I do.
- 59:14You get a seven.
- 59:16Okay.
- 59:16All right.
- 59:17My thing is plus three.
- 59:19We will start with bill, you rolled a ten, so that means you have a number of options, but you get to choose.
- 59:27Yeah.
- 59:28Choose one.
- 59:28One from the list.
- 59:29Yeah.
- 59:30So mark one fatigue to use a learn technique, use one practiced technique or use two basic or mastered techniques.
- 59:39It says use two basic or master.
- 59:41Could I use one of each? Sure.
- 59:43Okay.
- 59:43Because I want to use divert, and then I want to use retaliate, because they combo together.
- 59:51Divert is the special fighting technique for the Guardian.
- 59:56Okay.
- 59:56And it says in this case, it's kind of a little word.
- 59:58It says step into the way of blows intended for allies.
- 1:00:01I want to say the ally is the cart.
- 1:00:03Oh, okay.
- 1:00:04And when it says when an ally within reach within the cart suffers a blow, this exchange, which I assume has been taking stuff out of the cart, you can suffer it for them.
- 1:00:15I basically can just step in the way of the cart.
- 1:00:19I just basically put my body between them in the cart.
- 1:00:21Sure.
- 1:00:21And then I'm going to use retaliate.
- 1:00:23And retaliate is steal yourself for the blows.
- 1:00:26Each time a phone inflicts fatigue, a condition or shifts your balance, I inflict one back at them in return.
- 1:00:33Okay.
- 1:00:34And it says if I use Italia along with my dessert, I deal with additional fatigue.
- 1:00:38Oh, okay.
- 1:00:39So no matter how much fatigue they do, let me take back plus one.
- 1:00:42Okay.
- 1:00:43Got it.
- 1:00:43All right.
- 1:00:44So what you do is bill you nimbly, having your staff prepared at your feet.
- 1:00:50You kick it up, catch it in the air, and immediately start to sprint over towards the wagon, probably doing some acrobatics in the air as you kind of, like, jump and kind of like, catapult forward with your bow staff and then maybe, like, flip in the air as you do and landed front of the cart.
- 1:01:06Blocking them from access to grabbing any more items and preparing yourself for them to make any sort of attempts to do so.
- 1:01:17They also chose to defend a maneuver.
- 1:01:19Theirs was to seize a position, and their plan is to escape the scene with the two boxes, or at least yeah, like a box and maybe like a crate or something.
- 1:01:31A small crate that they each have in their hands.
- 1:01:34But any foe engaged with them can mark one fatigue to block this technique and stop them from getting away.
- 1:01:41Does it go for either of them? Yes, I'll do that.
- 1:01:45Okay.
- 1:01:46Makes sense.
- 1:01:46Since you're up there, you're, like, bending the card.
- 1:01:51The content will hand it back.
- 1:01:54All right, perfect.
- 1:01:55All right.
- 1:01:56And then we will hop over to Gua.
- 1:01:59What are you doing with your advance in attack? You said you rolled a seven, so you get to GM.
- 1:02:04So I'm going to strike.
- 1:02:09strike.
- 1:02:10Okay.
- 1:02:11That's right.
- 1:02:12Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:12Because you're spilling tea on them.
- 1:02:14That's right.
- 1:02:14How do you brew and you fling hot scalding tea onto them, which hits them on probably the hands where they're holding these crates or these boxes.
- 1:02:30Go and they scream as they take.
- 1:02:35I do want to add I find it funny that Gohan said he was acting like he was trapping and spilled the tea, but it still managed to say a catchphrase before I did it.
- 1:02:44Actually, that's how he greets customers.
- 1:02:57they keep making him go into the back and wash dishes.
- 1:03:00He's never gotten to use it.
- 1:03:03All right, I'm going to mark them as stunging.
- 1:03:07Yeah, exactly.
- 1:03:08I'm going to mark them as stun so they are caught off guard.
- 1:03:11They can't act or respond for a few seconds until they steady themselves.
- 1:03:15Given that they just had hot tea spilled on them, I think that fits.
- 1:03:19And then Bill trips them.
- 1:03:20Correct.
- 1:03:21Oh, boy.
- 1:03:22They've been hit with the one two combo, hot tea and sweeping the legs.
- 1:03:27All right, so with these guys stunned and such, you guys have the option.
- 1:03:31You can continue to maintain the exchange, or we can kind of drop it for the moment.
- 1:03:36If you guys wanted to do some more, like, handle this more of a role play direction, what would you like to do? Cursed out those not that option.
- 1:03:51I would say that they did drop the boxes that they were holding.
- 1:03:54Given that they're surprised by both of you, and Guao kind of spilled hot tea on their hands, I would assume that they were probably wearing clothing.
- 1:04:03So really, the tea really only scalded them where they didn't have clothing.
- 1:04:06On, which would be there.
- 1:04:07Like, they didn't have gloves or anything, so it makes sense that they drop it.
- 1:04:11So they're both on the ground.
- 1:04:12I wouldn't say they're necessarily on the ground, but they're startled and they're stunned.
- 1:04:17So they're not, like, running away at the moment.
- 1:04:19They're kind of baffled that you guys would just come out of nowhere at them.
- 1:04:24Bill is just going to point his staff at them and take a stance, like above the t.
- 1:04:30He's going to just say, back off, or else you're going to get a stick to the head.
- 1:04:36And you notice that their eyes are fairly wide and their pupils are kind of dilated.
- 1:04:43And they both say, at the same time almost eerily.
- 1:04:46Madame Yang wants these.
- 1:04:48And what Madame Yang wants, Madame Yang gets.
- 1:04:52And then the bill is going to kind of, like, kind of, like, step in this way forward.
- 1:04:58He's basically just kind of, like, pushed back.
- 1:05:01His goal is to push them away from the t, and then he's going to kind of slide them with his feet over the quo, put these back in the car.
- 1:05:10They're not aggressive.
- 1:05:12They're not, like, leaping down to grab it or anything like that.
- 1:05:15They just kind of seem like they're not really sure what to do right now.
- 1:05:18They've been caught, but they also seem a little bit out of it.
- 1:05:22And they also kind of have this I don't really want to leave without it kind of a look in their eyes.
- 1:05:27Look, I don't want to hurt you, but, like, we're running a business here, and we need that tea.
- 1:05:34And look, we got nice customers wait, and we don't need to cause trouble.
- 1:05:40Get out of here.
- 1:05:41Feed it, bozos.
- 1:05:43I'll have you guys here.
- 1:05:45Bill, I'm going to have you rolled, but you're there with him.
- 1:05:49You can help him.
- 1:05:52Actually, hold on, Mark.
- 1:05:56If it should give them a plus one if you'd like to.
- 1:06:10Either one, I suppose.
- 1:06:15Okay.
- 1:06:16All right.
- 1:06:17So you did intimidate.
- 1:06:18You rolled a seven.
- 1:06:20All right.
- 1:06:21They're going to give in with a few stipulations.
- 1:06:24They're going to start backing away, and their stipulation is just simply Adam Yang.
- 1:06:30They'll not be happy about this.
- 1:06:34Bill Dor is going to step forward again.
- 1:06:36He's going to just put his step down by side.
- 1:06:38He's going to say, well, Bill Door ain't too happy about this either.
- 1:06:43Bill Door got, like, a southern no, I wasn't trying to go no, bill Door ain't happy about what you two are doing here.
- 1:06:55Gone cram.
- 1:06:56I'm glad Bill Door is not Larry the Cable guy.
- 1:07:00Appreciate that.
- 1:07:00Same here.
- 1:07:02All right.
- 1:07:04They back away, and then eventually they actually turn around.
- 1:07:08After almost bumping into a partygoor as they were walking backwards, they turn around and they walk forward the rest of the way back into the mansion.
- 1:07:19All right.
- 1:07:19And build over turns around.
- 1:07:21Is Guajan loading? Yeah, I'm picking up the stuff and putting it back where it belongs, restoring it.
- 1:07:42Excuse me? Let's get back to where it comes.
- 1:07:48And then Joe is going to walk back up to the table, and he's going to lay his boast back underneath.
- 1:07:54Okay.
- 1:07:55He's going to wipe off the front of his, like, dust off the front of his vest and straighten it in his tie, and he's going to go, sorry for giving you quite a show back there, but got to defend the business.
- 1:08:09So he grabs his note fan and goes, may I take your order? And the woman standing in front of you winks and says, okay, well, I'll take something hot and spilled all over me.
- 1:08:24I'm sad I missed out on that lady.
- 1:08:27Hotel.
- 1:08:37RT is quite hot.
- 1:08:39It may burn you.
- 1:08:41Alcoholic drink names.
- 1:08:43Like, what was the one Emily ordered the other day? Sand in your shorts on the beach Insects on the beach.
- 1:08:49Yeah.
- 1:08:49So it's like, hot.
- 1:08:51She didn't want to order the Sex on the beach.
- 1:08:53Coming back over to Brock.
- 1:08:58So you managed to follow Madam Yang to hand this employee to this room.
- 1:09:04It's kind of like a farther into the back, whatever.
- 1:09:08There are two hot leaf juice employees that seem to be standing outside the room, but these guys kind of look like the guy that you confronted earlier.
- 1:09:16You assume they're hot leaves employees because they're waiting for her, but they're not wearing any necessarily, like, insignia or anything like that.
- 1:09:24So there's one on each side of the door.
- 1:09:25As soon as she brings that employee over there and they go inside, these two kind of go in with her, and then they close the door behind them.
- 1:09:33Okay.
- 1:09:36Is this one particular room the only one in this particular hallway, or there are multiple rooms in the immediate area? There are some other rooms in the area.
- 1:09:45All right.
- 1:09:47I'm going to try and get as close as I can to that one room.
- 1:09:50Okay.
- 1:09:50So I'm going to go is it like a bedroom, or is this lead down another hallway that they're going in? It's another bedroom.
- 1:09:57Yeah.
- 1:09:58Okay.
- 1:09:58So I'm going to go down this hall, and I'm going to try and get into one of the bedrooms that's right next door to Jason.
- 1:10:06Sure.
- 1:10:07Okay.
- 1:10:07Yeah.
- 1:10:08You're able to do that? Okay.
- 1:10:09I don't have to confront anybody about it? No.
- 1:10:12You noticed that there's no clothing in on the beds.
- 1:10:14Do you assume the staff probably already, like, grabbed the clothes that were in here and they took them out? This is pretty much just an open bedroom.
- 1:10:20Nobody's in there for any other reason.
- 1:10:22Okay.
- 1:10:23So I go into this bedroom, and I put my ear up to the wall sure.
- 1:10:27To try and listen in on what's going on in the other room.
- 1:10:29Okay.
- 1:10:30I'm going to have you rely on your skills and training, and that will be focus.
- 1:10:36So I get no additional focus.
- 1:10:42Ten.
- 1:10:42Nice.
- 1:10:43Okay, perfect.
- 1:10:44So you do it.
- 1:10:44Yeah.
- 1:10:45You successfully are able to hear everything that goes on in this room.
- 1:10:48So as you're listening, you can hear Madame Yang on the wall.
- 1:10:51You hear, like, some shuffling around as this person has sat down on the chair.
- 1:10:55Whatever the case, you hear her ask, what is the finest tea in the land? And the employee that she has sitting in there responds, the tea that grows on Madame Yang's trees.
- 1:11:15All those things you say out loud that sounds weird.
- 1:11:18You pre wrote that.
- 1:11:19That's what I was oh, boy.
- 1:11:22You pre written stuff out loud that sounded somewhat cryptic and somewhat something else.
- 1:11:43Now get back out there and do what I've hired you to do.
- 1:11:47And then you hear that there's a little bit of shuffling, and then the door opens, and they head back out.
- 1:11:54Do all of them leave, or do those other two still stand? The other two still stand guard? Yeah.
- 1:12:00Are these rooms one of the walls made out of here? Are they made of the paper walls, or are we talking, like, concrete, wooden rock wall? What's the interior looking like in here? I would say that they are stonewalls.
- 1:12:18Well, I'll give you that.
- 1:12:21Little old me here, the earthbender present.
- 1:12:27I will bend a small broccoli or not small, but a broccoli sized doorway down into the ground, and I want to go through there into the other room, bring the wall back up, and I want to investigate what's going on in this other room.
- 1:12:43Okay.
- 1:12:44Yeah, you're able to do that.
- 1:12:46You enter into the room, and you see it's a very simple room.
- 1:12:51It seems like all the furniture, for the most part, has actually been moved out of the way to the edges of the room, kind of against the wall, except for one chair in the middle, and then one chair across from it, kind of facing each other.
- 1:13:03And right in between this, if you look up on the ceiling, there's a large, small chandelier that's hanging there.
- 1:13:10And then from the chandelier, there's a sort of long gold chain with a elongated diamond shaped green stone on it, and it kind of just sways back and forth ever so slightly.
- 1:13:23Okay.
- 1:13:25So from this, I'm judging that Madame Yang is, in fact, hypnotizing her employees.
- 1:13:30Is it obvious to tell which chair Madame Yang is in and which chair the employees go in? Yeah.
- 1:13:36The chair that you assume the employees go in looks to be set a little bit closer to where the pendulum swinging.
- 1:13:43The other one is set a little bit further back.
- 1:13:46Okay.
- 1:13:46So what I'm going to do what are the floors made out of first? Are they also stone? They'd also be stone, yeah.
- 1:13:51All right.
- 1:13:52This is going to be a stretch.
- 1:13:53What we're going to do, I'm going to stand with my back.
- 1:13:58So facing the wall, I'm standing with my back to the chair, my arms on either side, and I'm an earth bend.
- 1:14:04Two straight lines in front of me.
- 1:14:07Okay.
- 1:14:07I'm using his measuring points into the next room.
- 1:14:12I make another broccoli sized wall in the wall, and then I go back in and I wait for Madame Yang to bring in another employee.
- 1:14:22Okay.
- 1:14:22The two lines that you're making so hold on.
- 1:14:26Explain that to me.
- 1:14:27So do you want me to explain the full plan or just like yeah, I mean, I'm not here as DM trying to stump, you know, I'm not going to met a game or anything like that, so yeah, feel free.
- 1:14:40Let me think.
- 1:14:40As far as, like, I don't know.
- 1:14:42I kind of wanted to play out.
- 1:14:43Let's let it play out for the audio.
- 1:14:45Okay.
- 1:14:45So I make two very small, like, very small thin lines across the floor.
- 1:14:52Okay.
- 1:14:53Unless you're looking directly at it, it's not going to be noticeable.
- 1:14:57Okay.
- 1:14:57But the lines go through, but essentially yes.
- 1:15:02Through the wall into the other room where I'm going to be.
- 1:15:05I make a broccoli door.
- 1:15:08I go through into the other room again, and I put the door back where it was.
- 1:15:13Okay.
- 1:15:13So it says if you were never there and you're back in the bedroom that's next door, and then you've got these lines that are they impressed or exercised? Very slightly impressed.
- 1:15:27Okay.
- 1:15:28But if it's a stone floor, it's going to just look like it's going to nobody really noticed it.
- 1:15:36And they go into the next room where you're at.
- 1:15:38Okay.
- 1:15:39Sounds good.
- 1:15:40All right.
- 1:15:41And then you wait for maybe another five minutes or so, and then, sure enough, you hear the door on the other side open again.
- 1:15:47Madame Yang steps in, and you start to hear a little bit of shuffling as an employee and her two senator specialty subordinates step into the room.
- 1:15:59They sit the employee down on the chair.
- 1:16:02They start going about their questioning.
- 1:16:06Okay.
- 1:16:22okay.
- 1:16:22All right.
- 1:16:24To trap an enemy into the Earth, and they become trapped.
- 1:16:29Okay.
- 1:16:29So you're kind of like a cushion kind of thing where you pull okay.
- 1:16:32But it's like a pit.
- 1:16:35Sure.
- 1:16:37So I would push her down, and she'd be in a pit.
- 1:16:42Sure.
- 1:16:42Okay, so do I have to roll or just mark two fatigue? I think you just mark two fatigue.
- 1:16:48All things considered, it would technically be a combat move, but we're not in combat, and she wouldn't know to react.
- 1:16:53So I'm going to say just go with the stipulations of what it costs you.
- 1:16:58That lady be underground.
- 1:16:59All right.
- 1:17:00So you do your maneuvering, and suddenly you hear sort of a crashesque kind of more just like an earth against earth, stone against stone, sliding sound and suddenly you hear and with that, we're going to call it at night boys night.
