  Yeah, alright, let's get into our hot topics, which is a name

  we all love. OK, starting off, this is one

  that was alluded to in the previous episode and it's been
• 2:05
  the talk of the town Brent Clark slash Drew Doughty.

  So earlier last week we see Brent Clark practicing on power
• 2:12
  play 1, Brown Clarkson get power play one, which honestly, like
• 2:16
  if that had stuck and if it does stick going in the future, I
• 2:19
  think that could be a season defining pickup.
• 2:21
  He has all the tools to be an unbelievable offensive
• 2:24
  defenseman and he is just being hindered by the coach, by
• 2:28
  management. I don't know who's whose choice
• 2:30
  it is, but he's really, you know, really stopping him from
• 2:33
  having any fantasy value. But he can go from like a
• 2:35
  nothing to super valuable. So there's that aspect of it.
• 2:37
  And then a day later, Drew Dowdy's back from injury, he
• 2:41
  heard that someone else was manning power play 1.
• 2:42
  And he was like, no, no, no, hold my beer.
• 2:44
  So he comes back and immediately bumps Clark off fire play 1.
• 2:48
  And then everyone's asking, do I pick up Daddy?
• 2:49
  Do I pick up Clark? Do I drop one for the other?
• 2:51
  Do I leave them both? Do I take both of them?

  All the possible combinations we talked about it a bit on the
• 2:57
  previous episode, but uh, if you guys want to give us a quick a

  quick rundown of your thoughts on.

  This. Yeah, quick rundown, I'll
• 3:03
  reiterate kind of what I said earlier.

  I picked up Clark when I saw those practicing on PP1.
• 3:08
  And then obviously we saw Dowdy get back healthy and then he
• 3:12
  took that spot, which was very disappointing.
• 3:14
  I think Clark has way more upset than Dowdy.
• 3:16
  So I'd rather to me, I have Clark and that is available on
• 3:20
  waivers. I'm not making that swap.
• 3:22
  I I'm not saying that daddy won't be better in the immediate
• 3:25
  future. I'm just saying it's not worth
• 3:26
  making using one of my ads to make that swap when I don't even
• 3:29
  think doubt is necessarily that good.

  Like he has no category coverage.
• 3:33
  Clark is actually really good for shots from a defenseman.
• 3:36
  And also like he'll throw in more blocks than dowdy, which
• 3:38
  might be counterintuitive, but it's statistically proven at
• 3:41
  this point that he is as of late.

  That's what's happening. So we we trust the numbers, but
• 3:48
  also like I, I would be kicking myself if I dropped Clark to
• 3:52
  pick up Dowdy and then Clark gets P1 and I miss out on him.

  I just feel like Clark on PP1 has so much more upside than
• 3:58
  what daddy's can actually give you that I'll take the slight L
• 4:01
  in like the floor of value, let's say by not being on PP1 if
• 4:04
  it means that I'm exposed to the upside of him getting power play
• 4:08
  one or neither or either of them.
• 4:11
  Like super valuable given the situation.
• 4:13
  No, we're in a super deep league that I'm going to hold Clark for
• 4:17
  for the moment just to see how the situation plays out.
• 4:20
  There's not many relevant guys on waivers that have people one
• 4:23
  potential, so that's where I stand.
• 4:25
  But if both are on waivers right now, I'm not really trying to
• 4:28
  pick either of them unless you're in a super deep league.
• 4:30
  Dougherty is basically like not roster able if he's on power
• 4:36
  play one. It's just essentially A
• 4:37
  disruption. So to me like he was obviously
• 4:40
  an amazing player back in the day and Clark could be great or
• 4:45
  not great. There's no sense in picking of
• 4:47
  Dowdy. To me, I would just have Clark
• 4:49
  expect the volatility. So like if it goes well, it
• 4:51
  could go really well. Not to mention the fact that
• 4:54
  yes, we were excited by the power play one, but he didn't
• 4:57
  get his one power play point on the season and he's still been
• 5:00
  like OK in his production, like roster able in a deep league.
• 5:04
  So if you're in a more shallow, keep an eye out.
• 5:06
  If you're in a deeper one, don't drop him for Dowdy.
• 5:09
  It's not. I wouldn't do that.

  Yeah, OK, Let's move on to another defenseman pairing that

  is very interesting. Again, we talked about this a
• 5:17
  lot, but everyone's talking about it.

  Darren Radish turnip slash Victor had min slash, not
• 5:22
  turnip. So pretty much rat headman got
• 5:26
  injured LTIR radish comes in gets power play one, although he
• 5:29
  actually got power play on a bit before the headman injury.
• 5:31
  And then he starts posting 3 point games like he's like Steph
• 5:35
  Curry with the like exactly like it's his day job.
• 5:38
  And then Hedman comes back and at the same time that Hedman
• 5:42
  came back point was out was out for a game.
• 5:45
  The whole power play unit got mixed up shell something dusty
• 5:48
  got power play 1. I think it's called while I
• 5:52
  don't know and it was just a whole mess.
• 5:55
  Radish puts up one game of 0 points after like 2 multi point
• 5:59
  games and everyone's like, do I drop radish?

  Is it over? You know, and what do you know?

  Kucherov and point our back and radishes back on properly one
• 6:07
  even with headmen there. So I would say radish is still
• 6:11
  the power play one guy. I don't think he's going to be
• 6:13
  putting up 3 point nights all year for the rest of the year
• 6:16
  and there is always the chance that had been gets it back, but
• 6:20
  I'm happy to hold radish. He's also a very clear high but
• 6:24
  I'm definitely not dropping them.

  So unlike the previous example, radishes entire value comes from
• 6:30
  the power play 1, whereas Clark it's really not that attached to
• 6:34
  it because they're power place garbage and Tampa Bay is power
• 6:37
  play is really good. So all this to say, radish to me
• 6:41
  is actually like his spot. There is not.
• 6:45
  I don't think it's going to necessarily logically move, but
• 6:49
  Hedman can have it if he wants it as we've spoken about
• 6:51
  previously. So I definitely like don't feel
• 6:57
  bad about owning Victor Hedman right now.

  My big thing here though is that if if Raddish keeps Power Play
• 7:02
  1, then Hedman's value is significantly less than it
• 7:05
  otherwise would. So it is definitely a hot topic.

  I mean, that's the biggest part of the question right now,

  because there's nobody saying that radish is not valuable when
• 7:13
  Hedman is healthy is radish is not valuable when he loses P1.

  So I have no worry in my mind that I want to get rid of him

  unless I see that happen with my own eyes.

  The question right now is like your admin owner, like you just

  stashed on IR. He's back healthy.

  He's not on P1. If he's not on P1, he's like

  less valuable than a John Carlson type of thing who we

  just talked about in recent episodes where you know he's

  getting bumped back up to PP1 because of Dorian Leonard

  injury. But I'd rather have John Carlson

  on PP1 than had been on P2. So where where do you, you know,

  rank admin rest of season right now?

  Like, would you rather know adoption than than Victor Hedman

  right now? Or are you buying low with the

  hope that he gets it back? Like, it just feels inevitable.

  But if the power play is clicking this much, are they

  I think if I'm not a headman owner, I'm not particularly

  trying to buy low on him. I think the whole situation is a

  certain on it. So I'm not going after him.

  can do is really hold and hope. It's kind of a similar situation

  always the hope they can get it and they immediately become an

  situation to be in, but you're not gonna sell them for peanuts

  How do we see this playing out rest of season?

  Obviously, Hill is injured indefinitely.

  There's no news. But I will say that the last guy

  on Vegas was injured and definitely was Mark Stone.

  And then he inside, it's just returned the second effect

  upgrade in Bowman. So, you know, maybe if I picked

  up Carter Hart, then Hill would magically heal.

  But yeah, you've got Hill who's injured for who knows how long.

  You've got Carter Hart didn't play for like 2 years, get

  signed by Vegas, comes in and actually has two very strong

  showings. And then you got a curious to me

  who's kind of like never really been an NHL starter.

  He's kind of shown flashes here and there over his career.

  But he was filling in while he was gone and now it seems like

  he's losing the net to Carter Hart.

  So what do you guys think is the future rest of season outlook on

  these guys? How do you rank who you want to

  What do you guys think? I think Hearts going to take

  over from Schmidt in the very near future and if he performs

  well enough to keep Vegas as a top team, then he's just going

  to be the starter there even when when Hill comes back.

  Schmidt did get a shutout last game though, I will say.

  For sure, for sure, but they they they got heart for heart to

  be the guy. Now, I think that they like Hill

  a lot, but like let's not forget that this is not someone who

  like because he look, he had that amazing job, So that's why

  they're they're designed to him. I totally understand but it's

  like they wouldn't have gone Hart to fill in for him if like

  this is someone. Who is loyal to no one, right?

  Like there's not a single player on that team that if you told me

  they got traded tomorrow, I'd be surprised.

  And that includes guys like Eichel and Marner.

  But exactly. But you you sincerely believe

  that Aiden Hill is healthy in a week.

  They're not giving him the opportunity to be a starter.

  So first, there's two aspects of this hot topic.

  First of all, there's the fact that he's been kind of awful the

  past two weeks, right? And then the second is that

  there's been all sorts of rumors.

  Everyone knows Quinn Hughes is going to the Devils in the next

  couple of years. Right.

  Or Detroit. I mean, look, anybody goes is

  just a stop on the way to the Devils.

  So I think it's a pretty foregone conclusion.

  So I guess there's been a lot more chatter about it lately.

  And I guess my question is, do you guys believe this is

  something that could happen this year or do you think this is

  like an offseason slash in a year or two type of thing?

  I think this is a big problem for Luke, who's still really

  young at this point in his career.

  around because he's a good player no matter where he is.

  But will he get traded? What will that do to his value?

  not that convince is going to be the devils.

  And if it is the devil's eyes? Here, no getting out of this

  season. I don't think he gets traded to

  the double S during the year this year.

  But do you think he gets traded like mid season to anyone where

  dressing room together. But right now it's bad in

  hurt. Like who who it's Quinn Hughes

  and friends right now and could use one point in the last two

  weeks. Like first of all, he's a buy

  low. So if we're doing a bilevel cell

  high episode right now, like you'd be somebody that we talk

  about, but would I be shocked if it happens this year?

  No, it would just like all the cards would have to be pushed

  into the middle and everybody's all in type of thing, you know?

  Yeah. And I do think Detroit and New

  Jersey are the two most likeliest destinations, but it

  just feels like inevitable that New Jersey gets him at some

  point. So I I'm leaning that it does

  not happen this season. I think it's one, it's too big

  of a trade to happen in the middle of the season unless like
• 18:33
  he's actually fed up and there's like relationships that have

  broken down in the background. Yeah.

  Which normally we're seeing, we're seeing interviews and kind

  of like his reactions and on the ice and to coaching staff and it

  does not look pretty right now guys like I'm actually genuinely

  worried. So maybe it's closer than we

  think. Like normally I would say

  there's no chance something that this happens mid-season, right?

  But last year the Rantanen stuff just, yeah, absolutely floored

  me and it made me think that anything is possible.
