- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod which Teddy Mellencamp and camera judge.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hi, guys, welcome to another episode of to Teas and
- 0:12Speaker 2: a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencam band.
- 0:14Speaker 1: And Tama Judge. Today we have a very special guest.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Very special guest, high school buddy my no like from
- 0:25Speaker 2: fourth grade on, even though you said he was my age,
- 0:27Speaker 2: which was a real dick move because he's two years older.
- 0:30Speaker 2: But we have Shepherd Rose. Shep is fresh from his
- 0:34Speaker 2: spiritual journey in Costa Rica and continues to work on
- 0:37Speaker 2: his inner piece and is determined to make real growth.
- 0:42Speaker 2: The newfound perspective has given Shep an open heart and
- 0:45Speaker 2: an eternal bachelor has fallen head over heels for new
- 0:50Speaker 2: flame former Ms Bahamas. But we have to dig into
- 0:55Speaker 2: this because I heard that that maybe this bar I'm
- 0:57Speaker 2: so I think this by I was not up to date. Yep,
- 1:03Speaker 2: let's bring him in. Hey, yep, I hate for you
- 1:07Speaker 2: to like sit up straight or like look like you
- 1:10Speaker 2: gave two ships about.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Me, Like I don't like you're the one that switched
- 1:19Speaker 3: the top or I guess I switched the times too.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's been a hectic week.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm nesting right now. So I'm all over the place.
- 1:26Speaker 2: So it's a little bit of a ship storm around here.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Has no idea what that means.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, because he's never kept a relationship for more than
- 1:33Speaker 2: a year out of the game two and a half.
- 1:35Speaker 2: But how many times did you cheat on her?
- 1:38Speaker 3: What does that have to do with anything?
- 1:41Speaker 2: She knows?
- 1:44Speaker 3: Of four who said that?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Taylor?
- 1:47Speaker 1: Oh well, isn't that like so to you know?
- 1:52Speaker 3: She should know because I mean my phone was gone
- 1:55Speaker 3: through several times. Let's just put it that way.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Well, we'll start on more positive things about other people
- 2:02Speaker 2: and then dig into you.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I mean, it's a liar.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I love Craig, And if I had to pick somebody
- 2:08Speaker 2: that I would be interested in from your show, it
- 2:10Speaker 2: would be Craig.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean Teddy. I don't see you guys clicking.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I'm kidding. Oh, he he's just he's I mean, what
- 2:23Speaker 3: what how we all fell in love with Craig or
- 2:25Speaker 3: you know, the audience was his fallibility and his like silliness,
- 2:30Speaker 3: and he'd laugh at himself and and it's all just
- 2:34Speaker 3: it's so it's so miniscule. It's like a tiny little dumb,
- 2:37Speaker 3: pointless stretches of the truth sometimes, you know what I mean,
- 2:41Speaker 3: And he's gotten better. But yeah, I mean it's not
- 2:46Speaker 3: it's not like worth having a tribunal over who do you.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Think lies more, Craig or Austin.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I mean, Austin doesn't tell anybody anything, so.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Lying just withholding the truth truth sometimes.
- 3:03Speaker 3: But he's very close to the vest. But he wants
- 3:06Speaker 3: to hear what you have to say, that's for sure.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he's a big gossiper. You know. Even his
- 3:12Speaker 3: his girlfriends were like, he's like like a girl sitting
- 3:15Speaker 3: in a hair salon. If you give him the chance.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I like him.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Can you shed some light? Teddy said that you guys
- 3:22Speaker 1: went to school together.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Hm, thanks, we hooked up?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Can you? I did not.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm not saying that. Can you just tell us a
- 3:28Speaker 1: little bit about.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Kiss wants Teddy? Oh, okay, we definitely do.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Further than you were always crying to me about Jenny Sonfield.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We were never or Julienne or Julianne Weissak And then
- 3:42Speaker 2: you were, but you were a nice guy. Then you
- 3:44Speaker 2: weren't a player.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Then no I was. I wasn't. I did not have
- 3:48Speaker 3: a whole lot of confidence in the female world. I
- 3:51Speaker 3: mean I was just like, I was really into sports, remember,
- 3:54Speaker 3: Like I didn't care about holding hands or kissing and stuff.
- 3:58Speaker 3: I just wanted to play basketball.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I was Teddy back then. Do you remember she.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Was over confident?
- 4:05Speaker 1: Oh so nothing's changed.
- 4:07Speaker 3: No, I'm kidding. I mean she was a year younger,
- 4:10Speaker 3: but you know, years younger.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Wait a minute, chef, Hold are you forty four five?
- 4:15Speaker 1: Oh you're forty five? Okay, you were right. She said
- 4:18Speaker 1: you were two years older, and I said.
- 4:19Speaker 2: I think yes, I was in ninth grade when he
- 4:22Speaker 2: was in eleventh grade. Well you were, you were staying
- 4:25Speaker 2: over confident.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But this is how Teddy, weren't you held back?
- 4:29Speaker 2: No, I barely graduated. I took an ECCE, never went
- 4:33Speaker 2: to college.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Teddy, Teddy was great. But like that's the thing, like
- 4:40Speaker 3: a year or even especially two years in high school
- 4:43Speaker 3: seems like a you know, a giant gap, right, And
- 4:47Speaker 3: you were definitely having fun and Teddy, you know, Teddy
- 4:52Speaker 3: had that amazing house and pretty loose rules over at
- 4:54Speaker 3: that house, and an amazing pools on the beach, and
- 4:59Speaker 3: and we all lived in generally the same area, so
- 5:02Speaker 3: we just ride our bikes over to each other's house.
- 5:04Speaker 3: And have all time.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but Shep had the thing I remember the most
- 5:11Speaker 2: about Shep is all year long. He him and his
- 5:15Speaker 2: brother Whittaker and Katie, like, they would have this Christmas
- 5:19Speaker 2: party and right down the list of people who could come.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Every year we'd all be like, I own of Shep Party.
- 5:31Speaker 3: You were always invited, and you know it.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I know there were subparties. I didn't get invite you,
- 5:36Speaker 2: but I always got to invite it. Cheers.
- 5:37Speaker 3: But yeah, there was a Christmas party, whether they you said,
- 5:40Speaker 3: like my dad would play Santa and the younger kids
- 5:43Speaker 3: would come and they'd give them gifts and there was
- 5:46Speaker 3: good food there. Remember there was like awesome barbecue and
- 5:49Speaker 3: dessert and stuff.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Teddy, did your dad allow you to have parties at
- 5:53Speaker 1: the house?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Absolutely not. No, I lived with my mom.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, but remember that one time Teddy called me.
- 6:00Speaker 3: It was like my dad's in town and he wants
- 6:02Speaker 3: to play football on the beach, gather up some guys.
- 6:04Speaker 3: I was like, okay, I'll be right there.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Did you do it?
- 6:09Speaker 3: I think so? Yeah, absolutely. And then there's that time
- 6:12Speaker 3: where we all the we were in pe class sitting
- 6:15Speaker 3: in the bleach and remember Teddy sid Finkley or the
- 6:20Speaker 3: pe teacher who was so ridiculous. He's like he hated everybody.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And then your your your dad's uh. Then new wife
- 6:32Speaker 3: and Lane walked into the gym and down the hall.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I mean the guys were like, all.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Of y'all took a ship like she was a supermodel.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Nineteen year old supermodel walks in and all my guy
- 6:45Speaker 2: friends are like, good.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Nobody had set foot in the hill Ned Prep gym.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Quite like, oh my god, well I heard, we heard
- 6:59Speaker 5: you broke up with your girlfriends Sanna.
- 7:02Speaker 3: No, no, no, it wasn't like that. What.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Before we get into the breakup, I need to
- 7:07Speaker 2: talk about the awkward scene. I never have seen you
- 7:12Speaker 2: like on the phone, seeming so like.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Wanning Kitty, You're giddy.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You were giddy, but you also like were like I'll come,
- 7:21Speaker 2: like if you want me to come, like you were falling.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Hard for her.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was over. Let's call it six months.
- 7:32Speaker 3: She came to Charleston first, and then and then I
- 7:35Speaker 3: had a house party in Hilton had and she and
- 7:39Speaker 3: I brought her to that and we had just fun
- 7:42Speaker 3: on fun and just really like you know, early passionate
- 7:47Speaker 3: and just like laughing and had lots to talk about
- 7:50Speaker 3: and and then we then I went down to the
- 7:52Speaker 3: Bahamas to see her, met her mom and her sister
- 7:55Speaker 3: and her grandma who's a huge Bravo fan. She was
- 7:59Speaker 3: so so sweet and we went out. We had drinks
- 8:02Speaker 3: at the Four Seasons and down in Nassau. I was
- 8:06Speaker 3: lovely and uh yeah. And then she came up to
- 8:10Speaker 3: the Mountain House in Lynnville and then we took a
- 8:13Speaker 3: little break because of something that happened.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Did you know what did you do?
- 8:19Speaker 3: I didn't do anything. No, no, no, I'll tell you exactly.
- 8:25Speaker 3: So I bought her her flight to Hilton Head and
- 8:29Speaker 3: and Charleston the first two trips, and I was like
- 8:31Speaker 3: happy to do it. Right. Then I went down to
- 8:33Speaker 3: Nassau and she was very generous. She got me a
- 8:35Speaker 3: hotel room of the Baham r and we boy, we
- 8:37Speaker 3: had fun. Bahamas was amazing, and uh, I mean you know,
- 8:41Speaker 3: we we had so much fun. And then I was
- 8:45Speaker 3: like coming to Lynnville and bring a friend because my
- 8:48Speaker 3: parents are going to be in Spain and I've got
- 8:51Speaker 3: the whole house. And so she invited her very nice
- 8:54Speaker 3: gay friend Chris, and I go, okay, guys, here's the deal.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Fly into show. I'm gonna send a car down to
- 9:01Speaker 3: get you. It's a two hour four hour round trip.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Two hours there, two hours back, so it doesn't make
- 9:06Speaker 3: sense for me to drive down and pick you up. Okay, okay,
- 9:09Speaker 3: And the friend was like, I got my flight. I
- 9:12Speaker 3: was like awesome. I was like seeing I get on
- 9:14Speaker 3: that flight, and she was like, I will, I will.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I was like, cause y'all need to ride at the
- 9:17Speaker 3: same time, and so excited. And then the day before
- 9:23Speaker 3: she slated the land, she was like, hey, I've been
- 9:26Speaker 3: really busy. Will you just get my flights? And I
- 9:28Speaker 3: was just like I said yeah, okay, and I bottled
- 9:33Speaker 3: it up. And then after the weekend I said something
- 9:36Speaker 3: to her. You know, we were, you know, brushing our
- 9:39Speaker 3: teeth in the morning, and I was like.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Hey, I got how shitty of a way? Did you
- 9:42Speaker 2: say it to her?
- 9:43Speaker 3: No? No, no, I said, I really need to get this
- 9:45Speaker 3: off my chest. By the way, great job, great time
- 9:48Speaker 3: this weekend, but like I needed to say this, And
- 9:51Speaker 3: I was like, I just don't appreciate the way that
- 9:53Speaker 3: was handled. And you know, I made a lot of
- 9:58Speaker 3: plans and I took care of everything, but like you
- 10:01Speaker 3: don't have to meet me even halfway. Just meet me
- 10:03Speaker 3: somewhere in the middle or near the in the Bell
- 10:07Speaker 3: curve somewhere, because I'm not a desperate man who's flying
- 10:11Speaker 3: girls around. And and I was like, I'm really kind
- 10:14Speaker 3: of I bragged to my family and friends how successful
- 10:17Speaker 3: and entrepreneurial you are.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah. You even Jade and Taylor talking about how successful
- 10:22Speaker 2: she was comparatively speaking, which I did.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Not, like, I know, I didn't mean to say it
- 10:28Speaker 3: that way. Let's put it that way, you know, I
- 10:31Speaker 3: just didn't. You know how it is when you're that
- 10:34Speaker 3: camera's on in the interview room and you're just like, oh,
- 10:37Speaker 3: let me kind of be provocative. Yeah, it's not.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Very No, No, I don't.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Would never know such a thing because she's an angel.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Yeah, no, people off anyway. So so I did say
- 10:53Speaker 3: so I said that, and she was indignant. She was
- 10:55Speaker 3: like where I come from, you know, the man takes
- 10:57Speaker 3: care of everything. I was like, would you how about
- 11:00Speaker 3: the young mentor young girls you might mentor in them,
- 11:02Speaker 3: or would you tell them that, hey, don't worry about it.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Man takes care of everything. That's a bad thing to
- 11:07Speaker 3: think and to practice. Frankly, so anyhow, I was like,
- 11:12Speaker 3: maybe we should take a step back, and she was like, yeah, okay.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I was like, you know, I have nothing but wonderful
- 11:17Speaker 3: memories and I was really into you. And we did
- 11:20Speaker 3: and then she sent me a text a month later
- 11:24Speaker 3: with us in Lynville, all dressed up and hugging each
- 11:27Speaker 3: other in front of the house, and she was like,
- 11:31Speaker 3: I don't feel this strongly about people very often, and
- 11:34Speaker 3: I think we can make this work. And I was like,
- 11:36Speaker 3: oh my god. I was like so. I was like,
- 11:38Speaker 3: that's so sweet because I felt the same way, you know.
- 11:41Speaker 2: So you're right together.
- 11:43Speaker 3: And then we got back together. We went out west.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I don't feel any chemistry with you, guys.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I don't think we've seen enough to determine what broke
- 11:50Speaker 1: you guys up. Or is it on the show.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It's on the show.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Yeah, look as painful as it was, like, it's compelling,
- 11:58Speaker 3: so y'all please watch it. I have I have like
- 12:02Speaker 3: no anxiety about how I handled things at all.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I was you're proud of yourself.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Oh, I don't know about that. I was crestfalling, you know,
- 12:10Speaker 3: and it was happening in real time.
- 12:12Speaker 2: You can't figs with us chef. We don't know what
- 12:15Speaker 2: you're saying on camera.
- 12:16Speaker 3: On camera, it happened, which is rare. But like you know,
- 12:20Speaker 3: I told I tell anybody that I start dating, like
- 12:22Speaker 3: this is what I do. It's for like three four
- 12:23Speaker 3: months a year. If you don't want in you, you know,
- 12:28Speaker 3: I can't work with that because I'm not gonna be
- 12:30Speaker 3: I'm not going to have a secret girlfriend.
- 12:32Speaker 1: What are you doing when you're not.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Filming going around the world Chase travel? Yeah?
- 12:38Speaker 1: Is this show? Is the show? Your your main is
- 12:41Speaker 1: the show? Your main job? Or do you have a
- 12:43Speaker 1: job outside of Bravo?
- 12:46Speaker 3: I don't have a job. You think i'd have a boss? Crazy?
- 12:49Speaker 1: Bravo is your boss.
- 12:50Speaker 3: I invest in things and different. I've got a lot
- 12:54Speaker 3: of coals in the fire. I mean, Teddy knows this.
- 12:56Speaker 3: I think about me like, I don't need much. You know,
- 13:00Speaker 3: I don't need a giant house, and nor do I
- 13:02Speaker 3: really want one. I just want to have the freedom
- 13:05Speaker 3: to do the things that I love. And then after
- 13:07Speaker 3: I after I did ayahuasca.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Oh, we need to talk about that.
- 13:11Speaker 3: I'm writing a book about it. I've already written thirty
- 13:13Speaker 3: two thousand words.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Wow, how many pages is that?
- 13:17Speaker 3: One? And fifty. So the name of it teddy like
- 13:22Speaker 3: I was. I went there to sort of deal with
- 13:24Speaker 3: my dabbling in excess for oh so many years.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And yeah, you're pretty hammered.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole time I was hammered. Correct. So anyhow,
- 13:37Speaker 3: thanks for the champagne. Just to add to it, I'm
- 13:39Speaker 3: just kidding.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Now you brought a bottle of whiskey or something.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Jesus Christ.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Anyhow, So I went wore a shirt that had whiskey
- 13:51Speaker 2: pouring into a cup.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Right right. Yeah, it was a bad, bad version of myself.
- 13:58Speaker 3: I got vegas. But no, it was more than that.
- 14:01Speaker 3: It was me coming to the realization that I can't
- 14:04Speaker 3: do things the way that I've done them for so long.
- 14:07Speaker 3: My body and my mind physiologically was just like no, no, no, no, no,
- 14:12Speaker 3: You're going to black out and make a fool out
- 14:14Speaker 3: of yourself and you're gonna be embarrassing. It's not funny anymore.
- 14:16Speaker 3: It used to be funny when my friends would like
- 14:19Speaker 3: compare notes and be like, oh my god, what what
- 14:22Speaker 3: you know? But now it's just like, dude, not funny.
- 14:25Speaker 3: So that I got that.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Makes it a little hard.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Are you saying you're sober?
- 14:30Speaker 3: No?
- 14:31Speaker 2: No, he's already drinking on the show this season.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I know, but that's year.
- 14:36Speaker 3: You know, try no.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Hard alcohol, is that the rule? Try to try to
- 14:41Speaker 2: So I was living Keith Richard, I love you compare
- 14:46Speaker 2: yourself to a full blown rock star.
- 14:48Speaker 3: I thought I was. I thought it was a rock star.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I mean, and Taylor used to say that to me.
- 14:54Speaker 3: She's like, you can think you're a rock star. I
- 14:56Speaker 3: was like, well, I got a lot of free time
- 14:59Speaker 3: and a pocket full of cash. Yeah, maybe I do.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I get that. And you know, everybody wants to hang out,
- 15:07Speaker 3: everybody wants to buy shots, and then you know, one
- 15:11Speaker 3: thing leads to another, so and then you know, got
- 15:15Speaker 3: you know, I don't need to get into that, but anyhow,
- 15:18Speaker 3: I Ahuaska. Yeah, And so they said you take two cups,
- 15:22Speaker 3: two little shot glasses, and they said we want you
- 15:25Speaker 3: to do that. After that, the bar is open, so
- 15:27Speaker 3: to speak. And so I had the amazing vision, Tenny
- 15:32Speaker 3: I after two or three cats, after three cups, I
- 15:37Speaker 3: saw an amusement park ride where the swings hang down
- 15:40Speaker 3: and then it spins around and the swings fly out
- 15:42Speaker 3: and everybody's laughing. Do you know what I'm talking about? Yes, Okay, Well,
- 15:47Speaker 3: everybody I knew and loved, we're in the swings, laughing
- 15:50Speaker 3: and carrying on, and I look closer and I was
- 15:53Speaker 3: the poll and so I had to be sturdy. I
- 15:56Speaker 3: had to be reliable or my amusement park life would
- 15:59Speaker 3: be shattered and everyone would get hurt. And so that
- 16:04Speaker 3: was like, I was like, how you know, it was
- 16:08Speaker 3: like on and off, Like you go into a deep
- 16:11Speaker 3: sort of like I don't know, trance and you're it's
- 16:15Speaker 3: like your webs are being untangled all the inside of
- 16:18Speaker 3: you and you're like, ah, I mean it's crazy. And
- 16:22Speaker 3: then then you come out of it and you're like
- 16:25Speaker 3: and you sort of walk around and then maybe you
- 16:27Speaker 3: take another cup. So the fourth after my fourth cup,
- 16:31Speaker 3: when I'm going there to deal.
- 16:32Speaker 2: With Xcess, yeah, after I took more cups than anybody
- 16:36Speaker 2: else if people did.
- 16:38Speaker 3: More, but anyhow, so I go back to my mattress
- 16:41Speaker 3: and I have my journal.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Mattress.
- 16:43Speaker 3: You have a mattress, a pillow, a blanket, and a
- 16:45Speaker 3: barf bucket. Yeah. I threw up, not as much as
- 16:50Speaker 3: a lot of other people around me, though. So I
- 16:52Speaker 3: go back to and I write in my journal because
- 16:54Speaker 3: I knew after the fourth Cup, Like I was about
- 16:56Speaker 3: a trip balls and I wrote in my journal, why
- 16:59Speaker 3: must I all licked the jar like Winnie the Pew
- 17:05Speaker 3: with a honeypot on his head? And that's kind of
- 17:08Speaker 3: who what I was going there to deal with and
- 17:10Speaker 3: to confront.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Absolutely not, that's what what is with two different Bravo
- 17:18Speaker 2: celebrity men going to do their self help with ayahuasca?
- 17:23Speaker 2: Because I realize Jesse Lally from the Valley did the
- 17:27Speaker 2: same thing.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Good for him, good for him?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Do you think it made you better? Anyways?
- 17:33Speaker 3: It made me better? And what it did, I mean,
- 17:35Speaker 3: I could go into it, but you'll have to read
- 17:37Speaker 3: the book. But one thing, one huge takeaway. There was
- 17:41Speaker 3: so many people there with so much trauma in their
- 17:43Speaker 3: lives and loss and pain and abuse, and they were
- 17:48Speaker 3: very open and honest about it. And I heard about it,
- 17:50Speaker 3: and you know, you're like, oh my god. Like one
- 17:53Speaker 3: woman the first night was screaming on her. They moved
- 17:56Speaker 3: her outside and they the staff was amazing. They were like, breede,
- 17:59Speaker 3: settled down, and then she started laughing maniacally. I was
- 18:02Speaker 3: like whoa. And then the next day I found her
- 18:06Speaker 3: and I was like, hey, are you okay? She's like
- 18:08Speaker 3: I'm better than okay. I was like, oh good good.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I was like, do you want to share? And she said, yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 3: My mother committed suicide when I was twelve years old,
- 18:17Speaker 3: and I was with her last night and we got
- 18:20Speaker 3: to the root of a lot of things. I know,
- 18:22Speaker 3: I get goosebumps even times, and so that was so
- 18:27Speaker 3: my huge takeaway one of Teddy was how lucky I've been,
- 18:32Speaker 3: and how much gratitude I should feel, and how much
- 18:37Speaker 3: empathy I should give to everyone around me at any
- 18:40Speaker 3: particular time, anyone walking down the street, because there is
- 18:44Speaker 3: a shit ton of trauma in the world, and Hiahuascar
- 18:48Speaker 3: really helps with that. Honestly, you know, I went there
- 18:50Speaker 3: because I was getting wasted, right, There's people going there
- 18:53Speaker 3: for real, real deep seated stuff. I had grown men
- 18:56Speaker 3: crying in my arms at breakfast about how terrible they're
- 18:59Speaker 3: fathers were and things like that. So really really eye
- 19:04Speaker 3: opening and really and so, but it's not a magic pill.
- 19:09Speaker 3: I came back and did some stupid shit. It reverted
- 19:11Speaker 3: back to my old ways, and I was but I
- 19:14Speaker 3: was hard on myself. I knew it was wrong, Like, no, no,
- 19:17Speaker 3: we can't do that.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Would you do it again?
- 19:20Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 19:21Speaker 2: What stupid things did you do?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Just drinking? You know? I was out in Nashville and
- 19:25Speaker 3: just got hammer time and don't know how I got
- 19:28Speaker 3: back to the hotel. And then this girl who I knew,
- 19:30Speaker 3: was like, Chap, what the are you doing? You know?
- 19:33Speaker 3: And I was like, oh no, she's I was worried
- 19:35Speaker 3: about you because I was worried about you getting home safely. Essentially,
- 19:38Speaker 3: you were just out there.
- 19:48Speaker 2: What about this how you said? And you're confessional that
- 19:50Speaker 2: Taylor's family all wants you to be with her. No,
- 19:57Speaker 2: that was while ago, and was it's like now jout.
- 20:01Speaker 1: On social media.
- 20:03Speaker 3: I don't care about it. I didn't read what she said.
- 20:05Speaker 2: But would you like me to tell you I memori.
- 20:09Speaker 3: No, it's none of my business. When everybody else says,
- 20:12Speaker 3: are you still.
- 20:13Speaker 2: In love with her? No, don't bullshit me, he paused,
- 20:19Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 20:19Speaker 3: I just care about her deeply, you know, and worry
- 20:22Speaker 3: about her. But look, I mean before I went did Ayahuasca,
- 20:26Speaker 3: I had lunch with her mom and her sister at
- 20:28Speaker 3: a restaurant in Mount Pleasant and they were so supportive.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I was really close with them. We and uh no,
- 20:36Speaker 3: I don't read their mind.
- 20:37Speaker 1: But the fact do you consider yourself friends with Taylor?
- 20:41Speaker 3: No? I mean that's not my choice, not at all.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Why did you what's the chick's name that had sex
- 20:49Speaker 2: with you and Gaston?
- 20:51Speaker 3: Sally?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Sally?
- 20:53Speaker 2: I didn't know that we needed to see her. I
- 20:55Speaker 2: gotta tell you, Okay, are we going to Yeah?
- 21:00Speaker 3: We are?
- 21:00Speaker 2: We are?
- 21:02Speaker 3: And I mean, look, you know if you I raised
- 21:05Speaker 3: a lot of money for the hurricanes in western North
- 21:07Speaker 3: Carolina by selling shirts, so I'm very happy proud of
- 21:12Speaker 3: and I was messaging with her mom and dad about
- 21:14Speaker 3: where what charities I should send it to in the
- 21:16Speaker 3: Ashville area.
- 21:17Speaker 2: So Sally's or tailor Taylor.
- 21:20Speaker 3: They connected me to these great charities and people that
- 21:24Speaker 3: they know and trust. So does that mean they want
- 21:26Speaker 3: to get back together? Absolutely not. That's absurd. Was that?
- 21:31Speaker 3: H Did I think that a year and a half ago? Yeah?
- 21:34Speaker 3: I did a year and a half ago, But you know,
- 21:36Speaker 3: things change.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Is ghost Dawn a cheater? Because that's what Sally's making
- 21:41Speaker 2: him out to be.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I don't know him. I don't know him. He doesn't
- 21:44Speaker 3: want to know me. I know that he's not pleased
- 21:46Speaker 3: about my existence.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Are they still together together?
- 21:49Speaker 3: Right? I guess? So? Yeah, Yeah, we.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Have the fan questions asking do you still speak to Thomas, Catherine,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Chelsea or Cam.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I talked to Cam, and I love Chill See to death.
- 22:01Speaker 3: She just had a kid, camps sort of like a hermit. Honestly,
- 22:07Speaker 3: I just don't think she goes out a lot.
- 22:08Speaker 2: But how many kids does she have? Now?
- 22:12Speaker 3: One? And she and I were supposed to go to
- 22:15Speaker 3: the South Carolina Bigfoot Festival because we both are obsessed
- 22:18Speaker 3: with Bigfoot, and I ended up Whitney and I ended
- 22:21Speaker 3: up going. We brought cameras. It's gonna be hilarious.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Whitney is giving me a little bit of the eck
- 22:26Speaker 2: the way he said that to Molly about the cup
- 22:30Speaker 2: about eating.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you were.
- 22:34Speaker 2: Nice to her in that moment, but like that's kind
- 22:35Speaker 2: of is Whitney trying to be funny when he does
- 22:38Speaker 2: that stuff.
- 22:39Speaker 3: That's who Whitney is. He's absolutely inappropriate at all times.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Like I've seen him just I'm like, did you just
- 22:46Speaker 3: say that? Like he has no filter? And or he
- 22:50Speaker 3: you know, and he just and he and Molly have
- 22:53Speaker 3: a long history.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And does Whitney thinks that like his ship doesn't stink,
- 22:59Speaker 2: Like I can't even imagine out the supermodel girl.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Are you shaking your leg?
- 23:06Speaker 4: Yeah, you're always shaking your leg always, always Why burning cows?
- 23:10Speaker 1: You have nervous energy all the time, burning cows.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Uh, I can't stop. My My whole mom's side of
- 23:17Speaker 3: the family shakes their leg. My uncle, my grandfather did, yeah.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Adhd, my mom does too. My brother drives me crazy,
- 23:24Speaker 1: the tapping, tapping on things or shaking. I'm like, stop, yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's it's yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:31Speaker 2: She gets really upset if she hears me chew.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Oh I can't. I got that thing. Or I don't
- 23:35Speaker 1: want to hear anybody chewing or slurping, or.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Then don't do ayahuasca because you have to hear them. Barf.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Oh, so you're so out of it. I don't think
- 23:44Speaker 1: you even really even acknowledge that.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it was fascinating. If you have any sort of
- 23:50Speaker 3: sort of things you want to be introspective about, I
- 23:53Speaker 3: would I'd recommend looking into it. I'm sure in La
- 23:56Speaker 3: you can do it. Like there's tons of people.
- 23:58Speaker 2: And there's absolutely no way I could do ayahuasca. I
- 24:01Speaker 2: do not like to feel out of control. I like
- 24:04Speaker 2: to throw up.
- 24:05Speaker 3: And you used to do mushrooms with us, Teddy all
- 24:07Speaker 3: the time.
- 24:08Speaker 2: You guys could do the mushroom tea. I never did it.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Only one time. I did a water bowl and I
- 24:15Speaker 2: threw up everywhere and that was at the end of it.
- 24:18Speaker 1: I did mushrooms once in Vegas. Is the worst experience
- 24:20Speaker 1: of my life.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not a drug goal.
- 24:22Speaker 3: And we talked about who you hooked up with out
- 24:25Speaker 3: of our out of our friend group.
- 24:26Speaker 4: Yes, can we play it, yes, Scott yes, Cayley, yes,
- 24:36Speaker 4: if you have to think about it.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Car Mines what car Well, we know that you did
- 24:44Speaker 3: with with Constable that summer. You had a thing for him.
- 24:48Speaker 3: He remember my friend he is?
- 24:50Speaker 1: What is with these names?
- 24:52Speaker 2: Was he long hair?
- 24:53Speaker 3: No? He was like a mountain man.
- 24:55Speaker 2: He was like, uh, I like Constable. No, but you're
- 25:00Speaker 2: missing the main one.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Weird seraate Nick Rose? Nick Rose, Yeah, he was a
- 25:07Speaker 3: popular guy.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Welcome to my childhood.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it was pretty damn good. So here's my I
- 25:15Speaker 3: had this wonderful epiphany, Teddy. On the last night it was.
- 25:20Speaker 3: It was I was on Ayhuasca and I had just
- 25:24Speaker 3: visions of my childhood, my mom making pancakes, me and
- 25:27Speaker 3: Whittaker hiding behind the couch while my sister got picked
- 25:30Speaker 3: up for her first prom. My dad and my brother
- 25:34Speaker 3: and I driving to t ball practice, me and Carmen's
- 25:37Speaker 3: riding our bikes through Palmetto Dunes to the mall and
- 25:40Speaker 3: and just all this beautiful stuff. And I just started bawling,
- 25:44Speaker 3: crying because how beautiful our childhoods were. You know, it
- 25:48Speaker 3: was like a dream, it really was.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Don't you think, well, you could have that same dream
- 25:53Speaker 2: if you are you going to settle down and get
- 25:55Speaker 2: married and have kids. I want a job with little Craig.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I want to.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I think, Craig is you can just start dating Teddy,
- 26:02Speaker 1: bring her on over to Southern charm and she's already
- 26:05Speaker 1: got built built in family.
- 26:06Speaker 2: After hearing how shep is in bed, I'm good.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, do you want to clear that up?
- 26:12Speaker 2: Who said that?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Gu's who said that? Sour grapes? I mean, that's what,
- 26:18Speaker 3: you know what, that's what that's funny because I was like, okay,
- 26:21Speaker 3: first of all, tacky as hell, Like I would never
- 26:24Speaker 3: comment on anybody in bed on national television. That's just
- 26:28Speaker 3: like beyond the pale. But that's how I was, you know,
- 26:30Speaker 3: that's how I am. My. I mean, my mom and
- 26:32Speaker 3: dad would never allow they would they would faint if
- 26:35Speaker 3: I started talking that way. But but it reminded me
- 26:38Speaker 3: of when Dwayne Wade and some of these NBA guys
- 26:41Speaker 3: divorced their first wives. They like totally tried to poison
- 26:45Speaker 3: the water for the next They were like, yeah, he's
- 26:49Speaker 3: got herpes. Oh my god, remember all that? Yeah, exactly,
- 26:55Speaker 3: That's exactly what it was like, because that's ridiculous. And
- 26:59Speaker 3: I don't really care what she I mean, she she
- 27:01Speaker 3: wanted me to ask her to marry her, so I
- 27:03Speaker 3: guess I was doing.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Here's the thing. I don't mind that. Yes, you're angry
- 27:09Speaker 2: and annoyed about the things that she said and done,
- 27:11Speaker 2: but you can't angry not angry. What your defensive slightly.
- 27:17Speaker 3: Well, you brought it up, but.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yeah I did bring it up. But my point is
- 27:23Speaker 2: there is a part of you that still really cares
- 27:27Speaker 2: about her.
- 27:27Speaker 3: And I know that one hundred percent. And I care
- 27:30Speaker 3: about her family and I used to think about her
- 27:34Speaker 3: all the time, like I want all the best for her,
- 27:36Speaker 3: I want all these good things to happen to her.
- 27:39Speaker 3: And you know, what can I do? How can I
- 27:42Speaker 3: help in any way? But I'm I'm sort of an alien.
- 27:45Speaker 3: I guess do you think.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It's because you're so close to her family.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Yeah, and her man, Like, when I met her, you know,
- 27:53Speaker 3: she had hadn't really been I took her in California
- 27:59Speaker 3: for the first time, Mexico for the first time, Europe
- 28:01Speaker 3: for the first time. I was like, and I was
- 28:03Speaker 3: happy to do it, very happy, because I love being
- 28:06Speaker 3: tour guide.
- 28:07Speaker 2: You loved giving her those experiences.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to see her grow and blossom, and
- 28:12Speaker 3: I think she still can't.
- 28:13Speaker 2: You can't say that. You can't say I want to
- 28:15Speaker 2: see her growing blossom.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Well she did, she did when we when we were together,
- 28:19Speaker 3: but I definitely put her through some bullshit. I'm not
- 28:22Speaker 3: gonna deny that. And when I look back, especially these days,
- 28:27Speaker 3: I literally have like I'm like, oh my god, I
- 28:29Speaker 3: can't believe that time where I did this or you know,
- 28:33Speaker 3: and I mean I could. There's just like a hundred
- 28:36Speaker 3: little things where it was just uncool and bad and
- 28:39Speaker 3: and uh just took it for granted her her absolute
- 28:43Speaker 3: love and affection for me.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Are you dating anyone now?
- 28:47Speaker 3: No, I can't seem to find anybody.
- 28:51Speaker 2: You know, ran out of the girls in Charleston.
- 28:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you won't. That's not the car. But yeah,
- 28:59Speaker 3: I mean I I, Well, the thing with Sienna is
- 29:01Speaker 3: that I felt very strongly and I've may be over
- 29:05Speaker 3: and that's and I was so surprised five years old,
- 29:07Speaker 3: Chep twenty six. I was so shocked that I felt
- 29:11Speaker 3: so strongly about someone so soon after after Taylor and
- 29:15Speaker 3: I his breakup, because typically she was Miss Bahamas.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I'm sure I would feel twenty six. He's twenty six
- 29:22Speaker 2: from Miss Bahamas and like itching to get on television
- 29:26Speaker 2: and be with Shep the Playboy, like you knew what
- 29:31Speaker 2: was coming.
- 29:31Speaker 3: I liked it. Yeah, not when it comes.
- 29:35Speaker 1: To how did you even meet her?
- 29:37Speaker 3: Girls?
- 29:38Speaker 2: Rayah oh oh yeah, yeah, I've scrolled through. Riot doesn't
- 29:45Speaker 2: look like a place for me.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm sort of obsessed with it. I
- 29:49Speaker 3: need to relax because.
- 29:50Speaker 2: It's just like the profile picture.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Girls are just so gorgeous on it. I'm like, oh
- 29:55Speaker 3: my god.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Well, you have to go through a process, you have
- 29:58Speaker 2: to audition to get in.
- 30:00Speaker 3: I was there early. I've had a lot of fun.
- 30:02Speaker 2: You men just have to have a certain amount of money.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Women have to look a certain way. Yeah, I mean,
- 30:07Speaker 2: I know the quality of people you're going to get
- 30:10Speaker 2: from Ryant.
- 30:11Speaker 3: I know Matthew Perry was on it when he oh.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Yeah he dated everybody.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yeah, but anyways, yeah, and I just look, you know me, Teddy,
- 30:22Speaker 3: give me a little bit of credit. I mean, Sienna,
- 30:25Speaker 3: I would not fall for somebody who had didn't have
- 30:28Speaker 3: any substance like we. She was a very interesting girl
- 30:32Speaker 3: and I really liked talking to her and spending time
- 30:34Speaker 3: with her, and we had a lot of very lovely,
- 30:37Speaker 3: tender moments. And it was not for nothing. I mean,
- 30:41Speaker 3: don't believe everything you see on TV, you know what
- 30:43Speaker 3: I mean.
- 30:44Speaker 2: No, I will give you credit. You're I think you
- 30:47Speaker 2: have a good heart, and you're a good person, and
- 30:49Speaker 2: you're good at reading people. Just sometimes you know, like us,
- 30:53Speaker 2: all you make dumb mistakes.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Blinded by the Bahamas. That should be my next book.
- 31:00Speaker 2: But you still never sent me your last book.
- 31:02Speaker 3: So I'll send you both of them.
- 31:04Speaker 2: All right, Well, we're proud of you ship. We hope
- 31:08Speaker 2: that we see things play out through the season. We're
- 31:11Speaker 2: enjoying recapping it.
- 31:12Speaker 1: One last question. Do you think Page and Craig you're
- 31:17Speaker 1: going to get married?
- 31:18Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean I think I know that
- 31:21Speaker 3: he wanted to, and I think she's like super career oriented.
- 31:24Speaker 3: I mean that's sort of that is a tale as
- 31:28Speaker 3: old as time, either on the woman or the man's side.
- 31:32Speaker 3: So I just don't know enough. And you know, I
- 31:35Speaker 3: love Page, but we haven't sat down and had a
- 31:38Speaker 3: cup of coffee. I mean, I just I think she's
- 31:40Speaker 3: a lot of fun and I would like to banter
- 31:43Speaker 3: with her more.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Frankly, thank you so much.
- 31:45Speaker 2: We appreciate it.
- 31:46Speaker 1: We're loving the show. I'm actually going back watching like
- 31:50Speaker 1: season one going through. I've been sick for like two weeks.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I've been like in bed watching season one season two.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I loved. I did it in Boston recently
- 32:03Speaker 3: and they had like six TVs all playing different seasons
- 32:07Speaker 3: of our show in the room, and I was like,
- 32:09Speaker 3: my head was on a swim. I was like, no way,
- 32:11Speaker 3: I remember that. Holy hell, so pretty cool.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Craig is the one that is like changed the most.
- 32:16Speaker 1: He was like a little, tiny, skinny little boy. I'm like,
- 32:19Speaker 1: I know he was.
- 32:21Speaker 3: I mean, he's honest about that. He was like I
- 32:23Speaker 3: was addicted to adderall and he wasn't eating.
- 32:25Speaker 5: You know, Oh well that'll do it.
- 32:27Speaker 3: But he looks great now.
- 32:28Speaker 4: That helps you.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Talk that helps you talk on the show.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Yeah exactly. I mean that's I love that sort of honesty,
- 32:34Speaker 3: and that's what I tried to do, right talking openly
- 32:38Speaker 3: in the you know, in the reunion last year and
- 32:41Speaker 3: then this season, I like my my Navy seal friend
- 32:46Speaker 3: who I did ayahuasca with said, chep vulner Vulnerability is
- 32:50Speaker 3: the new masculinity, and I was like, I love that,
- 32:54Speaker 3: and that's how that's the sign of confidence. If you
- 32:57Speaker 3: if you share your struggle one hundred.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Percent, we are enjoying you.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Love you on the show.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Thank you much, success, and I can't wait to watch
- 33:07Speaker 1: the rest of the season. And thanks for coming on.
- 33:09Speaker 3: My pleasure anything for y'all.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Okay, thanks Chepye, Bye bye,
