- 0:14Speaker 1: Hey, the folks and you Robock and TJ.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Holmes here to your hosts. Here on I Do Part two.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We're continuing to give you some great options for last
- 0:23Speaker 2: minute gifts for the people in your life, single or otherwise.
- 0:26Speaker 1: This one. We recommend this for a single person.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Yes, maybe, because if you have someone with you you
- 0:31Speaker 3: can say, hey, don't forget to wake me up. But
- 0:33Speaker 3: if you're alone, yeah, you need your alarm clock more
- 0:36Speaker 3: than ever.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Correct. If you're single, you got you yourself and.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Well you don't worry about but hey, but I do
- 0:42Speaker 1: Part two.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Part of our you know, the whole the whole podcast
- 0:45Speaker 2: is to get people hooked up so you won't need
- 0:47Speaker 2: this alarm clock later.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So we'll just deal with right now.
- 0:50Speaker 2: For you folks who haven't quite gott in love right
- 0:52Speaker 2: the second or third or fourth time, yet, this clock
- 0:56Speaker 2: might be for you.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:58Speaker 2: This was the one that was not on our radar,
- 1:01Speaker 2: and apparently it's all the rage on social media.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yes, so we did not had not heard of the
- 1:07Speaker 3: hatch restore three sunrise alarm clock, but apparently this gift
- 1:13Speaker 3: is everywhere on TikTok. And I say this because our
- 1:16Speaker 3: nineteen year old came back from college and she saw
- 1:20Speaker 3: that the producers If I Do Part two had sent
- 1:23Speaker 3: a hatch alarm clock for us to look at as
- 1:25Speaker 3: a possible gift idea for any of your single friends
- 1:28Speaker 3: or for you if you happen to be single.
- 1:31Speaker 4: And she said, oh my god, a hatch alarm clock.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Am I exaggerating?
- 1:35Speaker 1: You're not exaggerating again.
- 1:37Speaker 2: But before the nineteen year old came home, we have
- 1:40Speaker 2: the twelve year old at home and Sabine.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Sees it's sitting on the counter and she's wait, can
- 1:45Speaker 1: I have it? You all don't want it? Well, we
- 1:47Speaker 1: didn't get it at all.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So that was the first indication to is how popular
- 1:51Speaker 2: this thing was, how fun it is to people, and
- 1:53Speaker 2: how yes, they're itching to get their hands on it.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:55Speaker 3: And so there are all of these incredible features in
- 1:59Speaker 3: terms of helping you fall asleep, helping you potentially stay asleep,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and to wake you up in a very curated, specific
- 2:07Speaker 3: way that you would prefer. So Annalise got really, really,
- 2:11Speaker 3: really excited when she found out that she could set her.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Hatch restore three sunrise alarm clock.
- 2:17Speaker 3: And I say her because we gave her the other
- 2:19Speaker 3: one to Good Morning Islanders does that sound familiar to
- 2:23Speaker 3: anyone else who loves to watch Love Island? We died laughing.
- 2:27Speaker 3: She was still playing with it, trying to figure out
- 2:29Speaker 3: how to do it, but she said she cannot wait
- 2:31Speaker 3: to have that be the first thing she hears in
- 2:34Speaker 3: the morning.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Now it's supposed to be.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Now, if that's your preference, you want to hear good morning, Islanders.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I don't think I want to hear that. The only
- 2:41Speaker 2: thing worse than that if it screamed out I got
- 2:43Speaker 2: a text, I would throw the damn alarm clock out
- 2:46Speaker 2: the window, but I'd be awake. But yes, they say,
- 2:50Speaker 2: this thing is designed to help you build a bedtime
- 2:52Speaker 2: routine that quiets your mind so you can sleep better. Now,
- 2:56Speaker 2: it looks cool and it has all these features, but
- 2:58Speaker 2: it is supposed to really be good about helping people
- 3:01Speaker 2: get restorative sleep.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yes, an Al was telling us that you can have
- 3:04Speaker 3: and I say this because she was explaining it to
- 3:06Speaker 3: us more than we actually knew, because she's seen all
- 3:09Speaker 3: the tiktoks. But apparently it can read you a bedtime story,
- 3:12Speaker 3: it can walk you through a meditation. It can actually
- 3:15Speaker 3: have some light that will help soothe you and get
- 3:19Speaker 3: you to sleep. And relax you that it sends out
- 3:21Speaker 3: and also that light I was talking about, it actually
- 3:23Speaker 3: illuminates in the morning. It mimics sunrise, so it kind
- 3:28Speaker 3: of starts or jump starts your circadian rhythm, a circadian
- 3:31Speaker 3: rhythm apparently. So it's supposed to actually, from a visual
- 3:35Speaker 3: and from an audio standpoint, help you fall asleep and
- 3:38Speaker 3: help you wake up feeling refreshed.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yes, And even though the light does that in a
- 3:42Speaker 2: soft way, right, it's not supposed to be a sudden
- 3:44Speaker 2: hit of light, which is supposed to mari the sun.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Like you said.
- 3:46Speaker 2: It also has what they call science backed sleep sounds.
- 3:52Speaker 2: They have eighty plus of these things. What is that
- 3:54Speaker 2: white noise and what's the difference between white and brown?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Brown noises softer and a little bit, yeah, just softer.
- 4:02Speaker 3: The white noise it's a little harsher, and then like
- 4:05Speaker 3: the blue and violet noise is very harsh.
- 4:07Speaker 4: It's more tinny in a sense. But the brown noise.
- 4:12Speaker 3: It almost has like what the hell, you know, get
- 4:15Speaker 3: tinny if someone has a tiny quality to their voice,
- 4:17Speaker 3: it's almost grating. It's like a piercing piercing maybe, So
- 4:21Speaker 3: the black noise I didn't see a ba.
- 4:24Speaker 4: No, there's a brown noise. Did I mentioned how much
- 4:27Speaker 4: I love the brown noise, black noise?
- 4:29Speaker 1: Just the Kendrick Lamars long plan.
- 4:32Speaker 4: That's just your ringtone. They're not like us, They're not.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Like okay, but we did have some downsides, at least
- 4:37Speaker 2: some challenges we found with it. First, we should say
- 4:40Speaker 2: it is good looking. It's like what you would say semircle.
- 4:44Speaker 4: However you want to put it.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I kind of a look.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And it has a mesh front to it, so you
- 4:47Speaker 2: don't just see a display of numbers. Has this mesh
- 4:50Speaker 2: front and the numbers you can have them up or down,
- 4:52Speaker 2: so we could just be sitting there nothing digitally showing up,
- 4:55Speaker 2: no light, So that's cool. The other thing, though, and
- 4:59Speaker 2: trying to get it to work, I think was our
- 5:01Speaker 2: first challenge to wear almost turned us off and made
- 5:03Speaker 2: a question at least to let people know you think
- 5:05Speaker 2: about it before you give it as a gain.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yes, so I couldn't figure out how to even use
- 5:10Speaker 3: the app, which is how you basically control the alarm
- 5:15Speaker 3: clock without agreeing to a subscription. And so they give
- 5:20Speaker 3: you a free seven day trial and it's six ninety
- 5:24Speaker 3: nine a month, even though they advertise it's four ninety
- 5:26Speaker 3: nine a month. When you get on there, it's actually
- 5:28Speaker 3: six ninety nine a month, I can confirm, or you
- 5:30Speaker 3: can opt for a thirty day free trial, and then
- 5:33Speaker 3: at the end of the thirty days it's sixty nine
- 5:36Speaker 3: ninety nine a year. That is a very hefty price tag,
- 5:40Speaker 3: especially for a nineteen year old. I guarantee you she's
- 5:43Speaker 3: not going to pay for it. I told her to
- 5:45Speaker 3: set her alarm to remind her to cancel her subscription. However,
- 5:50Speaker 3: the problem is all the cool features that she was
- 5:52Speaker 3: raving about go along with that subscription.
- 5:56Speaker 4: So I was even considering.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Paying for or maybe at least the first year of
- 6:02Speaker 3: that subscription, to see if she actually uses it and
- 6:04Speaker 3: likes it.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Just something to keep in mind. But they are all
- 6:08Speaker 2: the rage and they sound like a good, fun, cool
- 6:10Speaker 2: product if you can deep dive into the features. Because
- 6:13Speaker 2: this is not for somebody who just needs to hear
- 6:15Speaker 2: an alarm to wake up.
- 6:16Speaker 1: This is for you.
- 6:16Speaker 2: If you're focused on your sleep, or you don't want
- 6:18Speaker 2: a cool item or trying to do better about your pattern.
- 6:21Speaker 1: This is for you.
- 6:22Speaker 2: If you're not worried about that, just set the iPhone
- 6:24Speaker 2: alarm and you'll be fine.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But this is a cool one. Good luck out there.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Anything else on this.
- 6:31Speaker 3: One, I will just say, if you have somebody who
- 6:34Speaker 3: loves TikTok or is of that generation, that age, I
- 6:37Speaker 3: would say anywhere, and if you are yourself, probably anywhere
- 6:40Speaker 3: from forty down under, you're gonna get a big reaction
- 6:44Speaker 3: when they open this.
- 6:45Speaker 4: So that's the fun thing.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Just know that it might come with an ask to
- 6:50Speaker 3: go ahead and pay for that subscription after you've already
- 6:53Speaker 3: purchased the actual item.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And it isn't cheap.
- 6:57Speaker 5: It is.
- 6:58Speaker 4: It comes in four colors.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Can get it on Amazon for one hundred and sixty
- 7:02Speaker 3: nine ninety nine. But go ahead and add that sixty
- 7:05Speaker 3: nine ninety nine a year to your thought when you're
- 7:09Speaker 3: thinking about how much you want to spend.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Okay, well again, thanks for the young folks for helping
- 7:12Speaker 2: us out. We are not as adept at social media
- 7:15Speaker 2: gift guides, but we learned something on this one. We
- 7:18Speaker 2: will now, folks, get back to our lane talking relationships
- 7:21Speaker 2: here on I.
- 7:22Speaker 5: Do Partner, Hey, I Do Part two.
- 7:34Speaker 6: It's your host Jana Kramer jumping in with some more
- 7:36Speaker 6: great last minute gift ideas for the single person in
- 7:38Speaker 6: your life, or hey, if you're single, get these for yourself.
- 7:41Speaker 5: You deserve it.
- 7:43Speaker 6: So first up is the higher torque electric jar opener
- 7:47Speaker 6: by Kitchen Bye by Kitchen Ma. So listen, I got
- 7:52Speaker 6: to be honest with you. The other day, Alan was
- 7:54Speaker 6: out of town and I was trying to open up
- 7:56Speaker 6: a jar. I could not open the jar to save
- 7:59Speaker 6: my life. Well, here's the thing. This is for you
- 8:02Speaker 6: or that elderly person in your family because it's easy
- 8:05Speaker 6: to use. It's an automatic jar opener. It's designed for
- 8:08Speaker 6: maximum simplicity, allowing you to open jars with just a
- 8:11Speaker 6: single button press. This electronic jar opener is especially helpful
- 8:15Speaker 6: for users with arthritis or carpal tunnel, offering a smooth
- 8:19Speaker 6: and hands free opening experience, or for that single mom
- 8:23Speaker 6: or the mom that is home alone without their husband.
- 8:27Speaker 6: Because the amount of times I say here, open this,
- 8:30Speaker 6: I don't need to do that anymore because I've got
- 8:32Speaker 6: this higher torque electric jar opener. It provides a no grip,
- 8:37Speaker 6: no twist solution for individuals with not only hand discomfort
- 8:41Speaker 6: or without a husband. It's powerful, it's a versatile, and
- 8:44Speaker 6: it's thoughtful and practical.
- 8:45Speaker 5: So listen.
- 8:48Speaker 6: For again, the mom from Daughter Seniors, or anyone managing
- 8:51Speaker 6: for frozen shoulder, limited hand mobility, or again like that
- 8:55Speaker 6: mom without the husband. This gift is for them, and
- 9:00Speaker 6: it's adjustable in compact, so that's great too, and you
- 9:02Speaker 6: can get down Amazon. Our favorite for twenty seven ninety nine.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Next up is the road lip case cell phone holder
- 9:10Speaker 6: that holds your lip gloss. So it's pretty cool it
- 9:13Speaker 6: already has I've got the new phone and I already
- 9:15Speaker 6: have the case for it. But it's a silky silicone
- 9:18Speaker 6: case and molded to fit your peptide lip treatment or
- 9:21Speaker 6: tint to puffy back, and tactile buttons for easy grip.
- 9:25Speaker 6: And you know you can get the phone case or
- 9:27Speaker 6: pair it with a road lip gloss. So many to
- 9:29Speaker 6: choose from. I got the lip tint and raspberry jelly
- 9:32Speaker 6: and the case in lip tint is fifty two twenty,
- 9:34Speaker 6: So another little great gift for that best friend in
- 9:38Speaker 6: your life or the mom that just needs a little
- 9:42Speaker 6: help not digging in her purse looking for that lip
- 9:44Speaker 6: gloss because it's attached to their road lip case.
- 9:49Speaker 5: So yeah, I love.
- 9:50Speaker 6: Both of them. I think it's great. I am going
- 9:52Speaker 6: to be using the jar opener many times, and it's
- 9:56Speaker 6: nice to just have that lip gloss on hand literally
- 10:00Speaker 6: with my phone. So I'm a great guest and hope
- 10:03Speaker 6: this helps
