- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Simis podcast. We are
- 0:09Speaker 2: so excited because it's the finale and recapping the finale
- 0:13Speaker 2: is always so fun and there's so much to talk
- 0:14Speaker 2: about about last night's episode. Congratulations to Kelsey and Joey.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I mean I was rooting for Kelsey this entire time.
- 0:22Speaker 2: They just for so cute and perfect together. And how
- 0:26Speaker 2: freaking stunning is that girl? She is a nineties supermodel.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Ben is here. He might be a little in and
- 0:34Speaker 2: out of this episode because he's doing some talk up
- 0:37Speaker 2: in the mountains of Colorado. He's literally in a cabin
- 0:40Speaker 2: right now. He told us that the original Walt Disney
- 0:46Speaker 2: signed the cabin walls that he's in right now. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 2: I can't see the original Disney. Not to be confused
- 0:53Speaker 2: with Mickey Mouse, not Mickey.
- 0:56Speaker 3: The Walt Disney. But I'm pumped to be here. We
- 0:58Speaker 3: have a great group of panelists, right, I mean, this
- 1:01Speaker 3: is just a lot of opinions. I can't wait to
- 1:03Speaker 3: hear all the different opinions. Yep.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So we have Rachel Rekia, who was in the audience
- 1:10Speaker 2: last night. We got to watch it live while be
- 1:12Speaker 2: asking her about the commercial break behind the scenes. And
- 1:17Speaker 2: then we have Susie Evans and Justin Glaize, our favorite
- 1:21Speaker 2: new bachelor, adorable, adorable couple, and everybody's joining us early
- 1:25Speaker 2: on the West Coast, and thank you guys for that.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Ben's like, Ashley, why is eight am early? Like it's
- 1:32Speaker 2: early to get to be like on a screen at
- 1:37Speaker 2: eight am is hard? All right, let's start at the
- 1:40Speaker 2: very beginning. That would be let the meet, the family
- 1:44Speaker 2: meet and greets. All right, so Joe and his family
- 1:46Speaker 2: meet Daisy first. Rachel, what's your take?
- 1:52Speaker 4: I mean, I thought it went really well. I thought
- 1:54Speaker 4: both of the women fit in really well with the family.
- 1:58Speaker 4: I think always Mom went a little hard on Daisy
- 2:01Speaker 4: at the beginning. I was getting a little nervous, but
- 2:04Speaker 4: I think it went really really well.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Wait, how so am I completely forgetting something?
- 2:08Speaker 4: There was like a part where like Daisy was talking
- 2:11Speaker 4: about her feelings, and she was just kind of like, well,
- 2:13Speaker 4: you're one of two, like there's someone else here, and
- 2:16Speaker 4: I was like, you know, we could have just focus
- 2:18Speaker 4: on Daisy in that moment. But then I think they
- 2:20Speaker 4: ended up having like a really good conversation by the
- 2:23Speaker 4: end of it.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah, by the end of it, she said, I'd be
- 2:26Speaker 2: honored for you to be my daughter in law. Both
- 2:28Speaker 2: of them are crying, and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 2:31Speaker 2: that was quite a moment. So c justin, Susie, anything
- 2:35Speaker 2: else you think worth mentioning in that family meet and greet?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I feel a great.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Great I think I think Daisy killed it.
- 2:45Speaker 6: I feel like, once you tell the sisters and the
- 2:49Speaker 6: parents whatever, I feel like, once she said, if you
- 2:52Speaker 6: got down on Onedy, I'd say yes. The kind of
- 2:54Speaker 6: the guard came down and they're like, all right, she's
- 2:56Speaker 6: in it. And I think it was a bit of
- 2:59Speaker 6: hesitat on Kelsey's part. I think they said this is
- 3:01Speaker 6: probably because she was a little nervous. That probably would
- 3:04Speaker 6: have been me like it thinks like, how can you
- 3:07Speaker 6: know for sure? I mean at that point they want
- 3:08Speaker 6: you to know for sure. But I feel like that
- 3:12Speaker 6: kind of won Daisy over in their eyes. But both
- 3:14Speaker 6: of the women did really well with the with the
- 3:16Speaker 6: family met and greed.
- 3:17Speaker 7: I feel like, yeah, I felt like Joey's family loved
- 3:20Speaker 7: dat I mean loved both of them. But like the
- 3:23Speaker 7: I feel like the mom was getting choked up when
- 3:25Speaker 7: she was talking to Daisy. It was like I'd be honored.
- 3:27Speaker 7: I was like, oh my gosh, that's like I feel
- 3:30Speaker 7: like immediately they felt some kind of connection with her.
- 3:33Speaker 7: So I think it's got to be really hard when
- 3:35Speaker 7: you're that like for everybody, when you're that far at
- 3:38Speaker 7: the end and it's like everyone feels this special connection.
- 3:42Speaker 7: So I'm sure that was hard for everybody to watch back.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I think it's a classic scenario where they put that
- 3:49Speaker 2: moment in between Daisy and the mom because it was
- 3:51Speaker 2: such a powerful moment, and maybe there was one with Kelsey,
- 3:54Speaker 2: but usually they try to flip the switch and show
- 3:58Speaker 2: the runner ups family time to be a little bit
- 4:02Speaker 2: more emotional, just so that we're perhaps a little thrown off.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But I'm really glad that overall they didn't seem to
- 4:12Speaker 2: have a preference in the girls. They seem to like
- 4:14Speaker 2: both of them. And yeah, they gave Daisy the slight
- 4:18Speaker 2: advantage for saying like I'm ready for an engagement, but
- 4:21Speaker 2: even Kelsey later in the episode, like it was like, well,
- 4:24Speaker 2: that's just like she actually said it to the family too,
- 4:26Speaker 2: So that's not my goal right now, Like I want
- 4:29Speaker 2: to be with him like, yeah, I'm like, I'm just
- 4:31Speaker 2: not here at check off boxes like ready to get engaged,
- 4:34Speaker 2: like must get married soon.
- 4:36Speaker 7: And I love that take. I was like, that's so
- 4:39Speaker 7: mature of her for being so young. She's like, I
- 4:42Speaker 7: don't it sound like she's there for the ring or
- 4:44Speaker 7: just to get engaged, But she was like intentional, which
- 4:46Speaker 7: I love.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that was like every other bachelor's dream because like
- 4:50Speaker 2: so many other bachelors don't really want to get engaged
- 4:53Speaker 2: at the end of it. But he was ready.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And he also said, you know episodes back with Lexi
- 4:58Speaker 2: that he wanted years before the actual wedding, and it
- 5:02Speaker 2: seems like him and Kelsey are really compatible there. That's great.
- 5:05Speaker 3: My question is how weird? I mean, I've never noticed.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I guess my parents went through and I could ask them,
- 5:10Speaker 3: But how weird does this have to be for the parents?
- 5:12Speaker 3: Like how do you do this moment? Well? Because you
- 5:15Speaker 3: want to give both women that you like, like the
- 5:18Speaker 3: validation of hey, I think you're amazing, but you also
- 5:22Speaker 3: know that like one of these women is not being
- 5:24Speaker 3: chosen and now your potential future daughter in law is
- 5:27Speaker 3: going to have to watch you, you know, give somebody
- 5:31Speaker 3: else approval as well. I mean this whole dynamic. I
- 5:36Speaker 3: think this episode was unique because both of them were
- 5:39Speaker 3: so loved. But I think it would be really hard
- 5:42Speaker 3: for the parents, like how do you or like how
- 5:45Speaker 3: do you enter into this and do it appropriately? Is it?
- 5:49Speaker 3: Do you feel like Joey's like mom and family really
- 5:52Speaker 3: did this appropriately? Oh? And like really like did it
- 5:56Speaker 3: the right way or is there a better way to
- 5:58Speaker 3: do it?
- 5:58Speaker 4: I think they did a great I think they gave
- 6:01Speaker 4: both the women like equal amount of like support, and
- 6:06Speaker 4: I think they were just looking to see like maybe
- 6:08Speaker 4: who he meshes with better. But I know when my
- 6:11Speaker 4: parents like went through it, they said they were like,
- 6:13Speaker 4: there is like no wrong decision. It's like whatever you feel,
- 6:16Speaker 4: We just wanted to like meet them. I feel like
- 6:19Speaker 4: they did really really well.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I think they did well too. I think you
- 6:23Speaker 2: kind of have to realize that this is a normal
- 6:27Speaker 2: situation and that like it's just going to be weird
- 6:31Speaker 2: that like, yeah, your first encounter was they were approving
- 6:34Speaker 2: somebody else.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're right. I would agree. I mean,
- 6:39Speaker 3: I don't feel like Kelsey watching this back is going
- 6:41Speaker 3: to be like, oh my, you know, this really hurts me.
- 6:45Speaker 3: To see. It's just like, no, this is how it
- 6:47Speaker 3: had to happen. Had it down.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, let's get to the one on one dates.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I do think that they were short. Kelsey even mentioned
- 6:55Speaker 2: that they were, particularly the daytime date was short, and
- 6:58Speaker 2: I was thinking, like, wow, maybe it was like maybe
- 7:00Speaker 2: an hour or two that they had during the day.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That's not a long time to spend together. But Daisy's
- 7:06Speaker 2: was like, let's get this over with. Like in my
- 7:08Speaker 2: both of them like didn't really want to be there.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I'm well with Daisy. It was so obvious to me
- 7:14Speaker 2: that he was like, I feel so awkward at being
- 7:18Speaker 2: with this girl that I know I'm not going to pick.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And he kept saying, I don't know what I'm gonna do.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I'm not gonna I don't know what I'm gonna do.
- 7:25Speaker 2: But I'm like, yes, you do. I was almost wondering
- 7:28Speaker 2: whether they were using clips from like last week with
- 7:32Speaker 2: him saying he doesn't know what to do because or
- 7:35Speaker 2: they just didn't want a finale in which the bachelor
- 7:38Speaker 2: was giving everything away early on. I don't know. I
- 7:41Speaker 2: felt bad for him for like having to kind of
- 7:44Speaker 2: lead her on on that one on one.
- 7:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I was kind of wondering if it was a
- 7:50Speaker 6: show type of thing to even have him go through
- 7:52Speaker 6: the night part of it and go through everything, because
- 7:54Speaker 6: it was pretty blatantly obvious, especially at the little stone
- 7:58Speaker 6: thingy at the end, where he was just like, you know,
- 8:02Speaker 6: I'm hoping for the best for both of us and
- 8:05Speaker 6: that we both find happiness.
- 8:06Speaker 2: So I was like, yeah, the focus with Daisy was
- 8:10Speaker 2: all on like the it's just I have two amazing
- 8:13Speaker 2: women and I can't believe I have the decision. And
- 8:15Speaker 2: then with Kelsey, he wasn't. He was like, don't think
- 8:19Speaker 2: about the decision.
- 8:20Speaker 3: Right, don't worry.
- 8:21Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I agree. I think, Yeah, Daisy couldn't
- 8:26Speaker 7: even look at him on that date, like after she
- 8:29Speaker 7: heard that, it was like she couldn't even look at
- 8:31Speaker 7: him in his eyes, Like if he would look at her,
- 8:33Speaker 7: she'd look away. And I think the same thing was happening,
- 8:36Speaker 7: Like I think they both like couldn't meet eye to
- 8:37Speaker 7: eye in that moment because like it was probably just
- 8:41Speaker 7: so painful. But yeah, I think everybody knew, especially Daisy
- 8:46Speaker 7: at that moment. She's like, I think it's not me.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Were you surprised he didn't break up with her? During
- 8:52Speaker 2: the nighttime portion.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Well, that's what I'm saying, Like, I feel like if
- 8:56Speaker 6: I were in that position, and Joey may have wanted
- 8:59Speaker 6: to were requested to, but if that's a production thing where.
- 9:02Speaker 3: They're like, no, we're going this, We're going through it,
- 9:05Speaker 3: you know.
- 9:05Speaker 6: Because I feel like if I were in that position,
- 9:08Speaker 6: I wouldn't want to lead someone on. And if I
- 9:10Speaker 6: at the minute that I knew, I'd be like, all right,
- 9:12Speaker 6: let's just cut it here and move forward with who
- 9:15Speaker 6: I'm picking. But from a production standpoint, I'm sure they were.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Like, we need our show, you know.
- 9:21Speaker 6: Yeah, So you never know what Joey was requesting or
- 9:26Speaker 6: wanting to do.
- 9:27Speaker 4: I felt so bad in the moment when she like
- 9:30Speaker 4: had that last attempt, because I think sometimes you know
- 9:33Speaker 4: when it's happening, but you like don't want to believe it.
- 9:35Speaker 4: And I think that's where Daisy was at, and she
- 9:37Speaker 4: told him that she was in love with him, and
- 9:40Speaker 4: I just remember he like the first thing he did
- 9:42Speaker 4: was like lean back.
- 9:43Speaker 2: His body language, his eye contact so off.
- 9:46Speaker 4: It was so oh my gosh, I was just cringing.
- 9:48Speaker 4: I felt horrible for her because what does she do
- 9:51Speaker 4: in that moment, Like I don't know.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I actually think that like she was, she wanted to
- 9:57Speaker 2: say it. She wanted to say it, let him know,
- 10:00Speaker 2: like she wanted it, like she said off her chest,
- 10:04Speaker 2: knowing that it wasn't her. I think she just wanted
- 10:07Speaker 2: to express it. And that's why her reaction wasn't even
- 10:12Speaker 2: like as painful as we thought it would be, because
- 10:15Speaker 2: if that was the reaction that I got, I would
- 10:19Speaker 2: be like, oh, right, I'm leaving the room now. I
- 10:21Speaker 2: feel like I'm gonna go crawl into a hole and die.
- 10:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I would have cried there like that. Yeah, I would
- 10:27Speaker 4: have been like, okay, so like what's happening. I don't know.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I think it's so easy for us to look at
- 10:32Speaker 4: the situation and be like I would have done this,
- 10:34Speaker 4: but it was just such a horrible, like last chance date.
- 10:38Speaker 2: But that's why I think it was like I'm gonna
- 10:40Speaker 2: make peace, like I'm I'm at peace with this. It's
- 10:43Speaker 2: not me. I'm just going to express it.
- 10:45Speaker 3: I don't think this is the first time Daisy got
- 10:48Speaker 3: the sense that it wasn't her, though, Like I think,
- 10:51Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, I do think it was hard,
- 10:53Speaker 3: and I think it was validation and it was not I,
- 11:00Speaker 3: I don't know who it was shocking to her, Like,
- 11:02Speaker 3: I think she kind of expected this to be the outcome.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Sadly. I think she's just in this mindset where she
- 11:09Speaker 2: thinks that she's just never chosen, so she was assuming.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I think everyone gets in their head too. Like when
- 11:16Speaker 4: I was going through it, I remember the entire time
- 11:18Speaker 4: just thinking it's not you because you're surrounded by so
- 11:21Speaker 4: many beautiful women, so maybe it's just like the environment too.
- 11:26Speaker 2: And then in the after the final rows we said that,
- 11:30Speaker 2: she even reveals she's Like I thought it wasn't going
- 11:32Speaker 2: to be me because I saw the way that the
- 11:34Speaker 2: two of you looked at each other at that final rosa.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I mean, you know, like the third Place rose ceremony.
- 11:42Speaker 7: That's tough. I mean, yeah, it sounds like maybe she
- 11:45Speaker 7: had an inkling, But I think I hadn't. I of
- 11:49Speaker 7: the viewer, hadn't seen the evidence until that little rock scene,
- 11:53Speaker 7: Like I think that that's when maybe she had Maybe
- 11:57Speaker 7: she did have an inkling before, but I feel like
- 11:58Speaker 7: that solidified it, and at least it did for me.
- 12:02Speaker 7: I feel like it would have been hard not to
- 12:05Speaker 7: know at that moment.
- 12:16Speaker 2: All Right, Well, let's go to the actual huge, as
- 12:21Speaker 2: Jesse would like to say, Bachelor history moment in which
- 12:26Speaker 2: the girls arrived at the Rose ceremony together, the alter moment,
- 12:30Speaker 2: whatever you want to call it. But first Daisy gets
- 12:33Speaker 2: to Kelsey's room. What did you guys think about the
- 12:36Speaker 2: decision for her to go to Kelsey to judge where
- 12:43Speaker 2: her standing was.
- 12:44Speaker 7: I think it showed how much like they valued each
- 12:47Speaker 7: other and how strong their friendship was, because I think
- 12:51Speaker 7: it is risky, like to go and potentially disrupt somebody
- 12:56Speaker 7: else's experience and like risk putting their you know, mental
- 13:02Speaker 7: state in a bad place where if they were to
- 13:04Speaker 7: compare stories, it's like, Okay, well now I feel insecure,
- 13:07Speaker 7: now I'm anxious or whatever. So I feel like it
- 13:09Speaker 7: showed a lot of like the respect they had for
- 13:11Speaker 7: each other because they were able to navigate the conversation
- 13:14Speaker 7: respectfully and like. So I think that it ultimately was
- 13:18Speaker 7: a good decision. But I don't think it would have
- 13:19Speaker 7: worked for everybody. But I think they handled it so well,
- 13:24Speaker 7: and maybe Daisy just needed that last little bit of
- 13:28Speaker 7: information and somebody that she actually really trusted. I think
- 13:32Speaker 7: that's a big part of it too, is just like
- 13:34Speaker 7: having another person that's not production that they can like
- 13:37Speaker 7: bounce things off of.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Justin was your take.
- 13:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I was gonna say it's it's definitely risky, and
- 13:45Speaker 6: I feel like it's a relationship to relationship type of thing.
- 13:47Speaker 6: Like not every pairing could have done that, because although
- 13:51Speaker 6: I didn't make it as far.
- 13:52Speaker 2: As your I mean, you know, I was like you
- 13:55Speaker 2: were second.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I did have the same experience.
- 13:58Speaker 6: Yeah, I think, Kelsey, But I know, towards the end
- 14:03Speaker 6: with like even the last four of us, as close
- 14:06Speaker 6: as Greg and I were, and even Andrew for that
- 14:09Speaker 6: matter before he left, you know.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We at the beginning, it was all he he ha ha,
- 14:14Speaker 2: like how was your date?
- 14:15Speaker 3: Oh, you had a hot up date?
- 14:17Speaker 6: Funny like, and then it got to like the annie
- 14:18Speaker 6: were its Like I don't want to hear any of that.
- 14:21Speaker 6: So I can only imagine, you know, when it's literally
- 14:24Speaker 6: engagement week, I cannot imagine you know, as close as
- 14:28Speaker 6: we were, us me taking that or one of us
- 14:30Speaker 6: taking that risk of being that close to a proposal
- 14:34Speaker 6: and being like comparing stories, right, because Daisy kind of
- 14:38Speaker 6: knew what she was coming to the conversation with, but
- 14:40Speaker 6: for Kelsey, she was like, for all I know, this
- 14:43Speaker 6: girl could be thinking she's the one as well, so
- 14:45Speaker 6: I feel like it's it was so risky. I think
- 14:47Speaker 6: Kelsey did a great job of like trusting it and
- 14:50Speaker 6: opening up and telling her straight how it was with
- 14:53Speaker 6: her and Joey, because I think, like like Suda said,
- 14:56Speaker 6: it really could have messed up her mental state if
- 15:00Speaker 6: was coming in being like I really think it's me
- 15:02Speaker 6: like it like how where are you at?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Kind of thing. But I think they both handled.
- 15:05Speaker 6: It really well.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Rachel, as someone who went through this completely with another girl,
- 15:13Speaker 2: how did you feel about this moment?
- 15:15Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 15:16Speaker 4: I that was my favorite moment of the whole season.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I loved the car ride on the way there and
- 15:22Speaker 4: the moment that they like exchanged before Daisy went down.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I think it just felt so genuine to me. I
- 15:28Speaker 4: think there's a lot of things that I can look
- 15:30Speaker 4: at and be like, oh, you know, production might have
- 15:33Speaker 4: pushed that or so they should go do this, But
- 15:35Speaker 4: I think that moment and their interaction was it was
- 15:39Speaker 4: really really a beautiful thing to watch and a really
- 15:41Speaker 4: great ending I think to a really good season.
- 15:45Speaker 3: You know what I think comes out of this and
- 15:47Speaker 3: a lot of people on this call could actually probably
- 15:49Speaker 3: speak into this, and I would love for you to
- 15:51Speaker 3: disagree with me if you feel this way. I actually
- 15:54Speaker 3: watched this scene and I said, this is actually going
- 15:58Speaker 3: to help Joey Kelsey's relationship. Now, Like this moment I
- 16:03Speaker 3: think actually helps a relationship, because I know from my
- 16:06Speaker 3: experience one of the hardest things was trying to explain
- 16:11Speaker 3: and help people understand the dynamics and why, you know,
- 16:16Speaker 3: somebody was chosen, why somebody wasn't, and how hard and
- 16:18Speaker 3: weird that day is and how emotional that day is
- 16:20Speaker 3: for everybody involved. And I felt like riding in the
- 16:24Speaker 3: car together and kind of coming into it as a team,
- 16:27Speaker 3: having an understanding seeing you know, the emotion on everybody's
- 16:30Speaker 3: faces is actually going to help Joey and Kelsey go no,
- 16:33Speaker 3: we can move on now like this, we we understand
- 16:36Speaker 3: where we're at. And I would love to hear from
- 16:38Speaker 3: you know, obviously Susan and Rachel, especially like, do you
- 16:42Speaker 3: agree with me there or do you think, no, this
- 16:45Speaker 3: this doesn't really you know, affect anything.
- 16:47Speaker 7: No, yeah, one hundred yeah, I think that that's I
- 16:51Speaker 7: think that's a huge part. I'm sure Rachel, when we
- 16:54Speaker 7: were on the show. I'm sure you've felt it and
- 16:56Speaker 7: saw it as well, like when things were airing, like
- 17:00Speaker 7: the world has so many opinions, and I feel like
- 17:05Speaker 7: when we were on the show, like everybody thought it
- 17:08Speaker 7: was like you and Clayton at the end, like I
- 17:10Speaker 7: feel like nobody thought that it was me, And so
- 17:13Speaker 7: when the world's like putting those opinions out there, like
- 17:16Speaker 7: I'm sure Kelsey's seen all season like Daisy at the
- 17:18Speaker 7: first one on one and like everybody thought it was Daisy.
- 17:21Speaker 7: I feel like for a really long time, and I
- 17:23Speaker 7: think even up until the finale, I think people were
- 17:25Speaker 7: really like thinking it was going to be Daisy and
- 17:28Speaker 7: until this last episode. So if I feel like it
- 17:32Speaker 7: probably was really good for Kelsey to be able to
- 17:37Speaker 7: like have that moment with Daisy and know that her
- 17:40Speaker 7: and Daisy are good and that her and Joey like
- 17:45Speaker 7: they they're all on the same page. Like Daisy felt it,
- 17:47Speaker 7: Joey felt it, and Kelsey was like, okay, like I
- 17:51Speaker 7: feel secure in this. So probably watching it back wasn't
- 17:54Speaker 7: as like weird when everyone's like, oh my gosh, it's
- 17:57Speaker 7: got to be Daisy. It's got to be Daisy because
- 18:00Speaker 7: and sit with Daisy. So she's like, no, I saw
- 18:02Speaker 7: what happened, and like, I understand this better.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally agree.
- 18:06Speaker 6: I feel like if I were to put myself in
- 18:09Speaker 6: Kelsey's shoes, even aside from that moment of them having dacent,
- 18:13Speaker 6: Kelsey having you know, that moment together, I feel like
- 18:18Speaker 6: I would feel a bit better regardless of that because
- 18:22Speaker 6: of how awkward it was between Daisy and Joey. You know,
- 18:27Speaker 6: I feel like as Kelsey watched in the back of
- 18:29Speaker 6: like okay, so he really was sure it was me.
- 18:31Speaker 3: It wasn't like a last minute like.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Kelsey exactly exactly he was.
- 18:36Speaker 3: He was sure, you know, so.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she never has to watch it.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Oh but it didn't hint or anything obviously. But I
- 18:44Speaker 6: think even without that, I would have been.
- 18:45Speaker 7: Like, okay, yeah, gave security.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, okay. So I would have loved to see
- 18:54Speaker 2: the moment where they decided to go in the car together,
- 18:58Speaker 2: because that felt like it may have been a little
- 19:00Speaker 2: production y, because it would if if it truly was
- 19:06Speaker 2: the girl's idea, we would have seen it right. We
- 19:09Speaker 2: would have seen them being like Kelsey been like, you know,
- 19:12Speaker 2: do you want do you want to do this? With
- 19:14Speaker 2: somebody like do you want to do this with me?
- 19:16Speaker 2: And then got in the car together, and that would
- 19:17Speaker 2: have been cute. I just I wonder if there was
- 19:21Speaker 2: any sort of feeling from Kelsey like, oh, I want
- 19:25Speaker 2: this to be my own moment.
- 19:26Speaker 6: The music was nuts.
- 19:28Speaker 2: The music last day, it was nuts. The reveal from
- 19:33Speaker 2: the audience, the audience reactions to seeing the two of
- 19:36Speaker 2: them holding hands. I know when they did the two shot, but.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 19:45Speaker 4: I think it's like it makes it better when you
- 19:47Speaker 4: go through it with someone, like I don't feel like
- 19:49Speaker 4: there's ever point where like like I need this moment,
- 19:52Speaker 4: because the moment is like you sitting in a car
- 19:54Speaker 4: with a producer, like sitting there nervous and then like
- 19:56Speaker 4: filming you by yourself. So I think going through it
- 19:59Speaker 4: with someone so much better, even if it was like
- 20:01Speaker 4: originally a production idea. I think their body language was
- 20:05Speaker 4: so obvious like that their friendship is so strong.
- 20:08Speaker 3: You also, though, Rachel, have a very unique perspective because
- 20:14Speaker 3: you've went through this whole thing with somebody else, like
- 20:16Speaker 3: both sides, you know, you always have had somebody there,
- 20:19Speaker 3: and you've done it so beautifully, Like I think that
- 20:22Speaker 3: has to take a unique season. There's so many seasons
- 20:25Speaker 3: I can think of, obviously from the past, like if
- 20:27Speaker 3: they had Nick Vile and sham Booth in the same
- 20:30Speaker 3: car riding together.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Like the Amazing TV.
- 20:35Speaker 3: I wish it would happen every season, Like I don't
- 20:37Speaker 3: just want it to happen when people get along and
- 20:38Speaker 3: when they're nice to each other. I want this to
- 20:40Speaker 3: happen when you're like, I hate you so much and
- 20:43Speaker 3: I want to punch you in the face, and now
- 20:44Speaker 3: I have to sit beside you the ultimate two on
- 20:47Speaker 3: one you Rachel, are like, no, it makes sense to
- 20:50Speaker 3: do this together. It's so much easier, so much better,
- 20:52Speaker 3: so much more fun to share stories with other people.
- 20:54Speaker 3: I think there's many seasons, probably most in my mind,
- 20:57Speaker 3: where this would have never worked like it would have
- 21:00Speaker 3: It would have been more awkward than it would have
- 21:01Speaker 3: been supportive.
- 21:03Speaker 4: It's funny because me and Gabby did ride in the
- 21:05Speaker 4: car together on the way to our engagement day, so
- 21:10Speaker 4: it was like, it's like, so fun. But yeah, I
- 21:12Speaker 4: guess I do have the like perspective of always doing
- 21:15Speaker 4: it with someone else is better. But I agree. I
- 21:17Speaker 4: think they should do this every single time now because
- 21:20Speaker 4: I want to see everyone sitting next to each other
- 21:22Speaker 4: on the final day. I think that's such a good take.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Good So, like what happened when they were like, all right, Daisy,
- 21:40Speaker 2: you get out of the car first, because everybody always
- 21:42Speaker 2: looks out for that chew the bottom of the dress
- 21:44Speaker 2: who's stepping out of the van first, because that's the
- 21:48Speaker 2: person who's getting dumped. So did Daisy just say like, okay,
- 21:52Speaker 2: this is my I will get out of the car now,
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'll go down and I'll tell him I know it's
- 21:57Speaker 2: not me goodbye.
- 21:59Speaker 6: That what I was I was like, was Kelsey just
- 22:01Speaker 6: waiting in the cars like it'll be quick, don'try?
- 22:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Like what is Kelsey going ims? I'm like, I
- 22:09Speaker 3: wouldn't focus on anything, like what is she doing in
- 22:11Speaker 3: the meantime?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Also, did Kelsey just get away with having like the
- 22:16Speaker 2: least nerve wracking which is the alter moment of all time?
- 22:19Speaker 2: Like she just got to pull up and be.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Like it's me, I guarantee Justin's riding on. How this
- 22:27Speaker 3: played out? Right? They both got there, they both got
- 22:29Speaker 3: of the car, they both went to itms and then
- 22:31Speaker 3: one of like you needn't know who got pulled back
- 22:33Speaker 3: first or last, you got no clue if you were
- 22:36Speaker 3: gone or not.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Okay, But then Kelsey didn't have to do a little
- 22:42Speaker 2: speech at the altar. It was just Joey proposing in
- 22:45Speaker 2: the mostly in a classic standard way. She didn't have
- 22:48Speaker 2: to suprocate. Oh so, I think so they either cut
- 22:53Speaker 2: that out, which definitely is a possibility, or or it
- 22:57Speaker 2: was just everybody knew everybody was away of the situation.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I think Ben knows more than he's late leading on
- 23:04Speaker 2: right now.
- 23:05Speaker 3: No, I don't know she gave a speech or not.
- 23:08Speaker 2: But do you do you think that they all knew?
- 23:10Speaker 3: No, I mean, I'm assuming she gave a speech. I
- 23:13Speaker 3: don't think. I think how we saw it on television,
- 23:16Speaker 3: it felt like it was very clear obviously of what
- 23:19Speaker 3: was happening. I don't think the two women involved knew
- 23:22Speaker 3: at all was happening until Daisy got back and was like, hey,
- 23:28Speaker 3: you know, and she said all the beautiful things to Kelsey.
- 23:31Speaker 3: She walked down and saw Kelsey like I think that
- 23:34Speaker 3: was the moment they both knew. Like that, Kelsey at
- 23:36Speaker 3: least knew of Hey, this this is gonna be me.
- 23:39Speaker 3: But I'm sure she gave a speech. I'm sure it
- 23:42Speaker 3: felt very like familiar like it has every season, but
- 23:47Speaker 3: they cut it out that they had to have cut it.
- 23:51Speaker 3: You don't just get up there and stand there and
- 23:53Speaker 3: be like, all right, my point, nothing is going on plan.
- 24:00Speaker 4: So maybe she was just like, okay, what do we
- 24:02Speaker 4: do at this point? Like it is also unorthodox up
- 24:06Speaker 4: to this point.
- 24:08Speaker 2: Well, I mean, obviously Kelsey did go down. She knew
- 24:12Speaker 2: when she yes, you said, like they said goodbye at
- 24:14Speaker 2: the van, so like of course when she actually walked down,
- 24:16Speaker 2: she did not feel any nerves. I mean, I gulse
- 24:19Speaker 2: you could always say the possibility that he was gonna
- 24:21Speaker 2: dump it, that he wasn't gonna dump it, like we
- 24:23Speaker 2: all know this. She knew this, and then it just
- 24:26Speaker 2: let's just point out that it was a very emotional
- 24:28Speaker 2: moment when Daisy hugs Kelsey and says, I know your
- 24:30Speaker 2: mom is looking down on you so sweet.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, let's not be naive here. A lot of
- 24:40Speaker 3: people hear everybody here, I guess, other than my wonderful
- 24:43Speaker 3: co host has been a part of a fantasy suite
- 24:45Speaker 3: before I.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Had been part of two fantasy suits.
- 24:47Speaker 3: You bad, I said, justin ads, Yeah, in paradise. I'm
- 24:53Speaker 3: talking like on the show that we're talking about. You've
- 24:54Speaker 3: never been a part of a fantasy sweet Justin, Nah,
- 24:57Speaker 3: I got tossed right before it. Oh dang, okay, well,
- 25:00Speaker 3: well then there's.
- 25:00Speaker 6: Three of us all how Blake as Blake had his
- 25:06Speaker 6: and I guess it was so magical it wasn't worth
- 25:08Speaker 6: going through.
- 25:10Speaker 3: He was like, I'm actually good, No need to proceed. Yeah, okay,
- 25:18Speaker 3: well three of us here. There's things said in the
- 25:21Speaker 3: fantasy Suite that probably gave Kelsey a lot of confidence
- 25:25Speaker 3: that it was going to be her at the end.
- 25:27Speaker 6: Not a throws shade at her guy, because I think
- 25:29Speaker 6: he's great, But Gary also apparently said some promising things.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So you can never go by just a pillow talk exactly.
- 25:38Speaker 3: So you're right, that's a good point, Justin, because here
- 25:41Speaker 3: a season ago we had a lot of women confused
- 25:44Speaker 3: because like he said it was me, He said it
- 25:46Speaker 3: was me, He said it was me, and then he
- 25:47Speaker 3: was like, ah, but I do feel like most times
- 25:54Speaker 3: there is some validation given in the fantasy suite that
- 25:57Speaker 3: allows you some confidence walking into there's still nerves because
- 26:01Speaker 3: you feel like, what if something's changed, what if they
- 26:03Speaker 3: had a really great day and he doesn't feel like
- 26:05Speaker 3: we did, or she doesn't feel like we did, or whatever.
- 26:08Speaker 3: But I don't think Kelsey was was surprised that it
- 26:12Speaker 3: was her. I think she was hoping that his words
- 26:15Speaker 3: held weight coming from the fantasy suite is what I'll say. Yeah, yeah,
- 26:20Speaker 3: which is the way it should be. Honestly, I don't
- 26:22Speaker 3: think anybody should have a problem with that. It's like,
- 26:23Speaker 3: you're gonna engage your fiance. Should have some like validation
- 26:27Speaker 3: and confidence going into that day. They should not be
- 26:30Speaker 3: a complete shocker to them. They should not be worried
- 26:32Speaker 3: about you know too much. They should be like, no,
- 26:35Speaker 3: he cares about me, he loves me. Let's let's make
- 26:37Speaker 3: this thing happen.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Yeah, But then you get the people that go then
- 26:40Speaker 2: you go in the fantay sistite after that talk, and
- 26:42Speaker 2: then you sleep with somebody else, and it's like, well,
- 26:44Speaker 2: if you told me it was me, why did you
- 26:45Speaker 2: sleep with her?
- 26:47Speaker 4: Or you do it?
- 26:48Speaker 3: You know, they did the jestin and say hey, actually
- 26:50Speaker 3: I'm good. That's how you avoid all that.
- 26:56Speaker 7: All that.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Was okay, guys, anything else to talk about with this
- 27:03Speaker 2: first half of the episode before we get into in
- 27:06Speaker 2: the next episode, The Bachelorette announcement, because that is going
- 27:12Speaker 2: to be quite the conversation.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Can I throw out a conspiracy theory that I thought
- 27:17Speaker 7: was happening?
- 27:18Speaker 2: I love comes seriracy theories, and yes, Ben and I
- 27:20Speaker 2: have our own.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Okay, so I just obviously didn't happen. But there was
- 27:24Speaker 7: this part of me that maybe this is the part
- 27:25Speaker 7: of me that just deeply doesn't trust reality TV. But
- 27:30Speaker 7: I was like, is this all a huge setup for
- 27:32Speaker 7: Daisy to go down and do this and it was
- 27:36Speaker 7: actually her the whole time? And then they have to
- 27:38Speaker 7: like it's like a whole like I was waiting for
- 27:41Speaker 7: it to be a major singer and then Kelsey's up
- 27:43Speaker 7: at the top thinking that she's the one, and then
- 27:45Speaker 7: Daisy has just I was like kind of low key
- 27:49Speaker 7: sick in the back of my head thinking about like
- 27:51Speaker 7: what if this is what is going to happen.
- 27:54Speaker 5: But I also wondered like if Daisy was like, I
- 27:57Speaker 5: know it was not me, and he's like, yes it is, yeah,
- 27:59Speaker 5: like what happened and She's like I just told Kelsey
- 28:03Speaker 5: like it's not me, and now it is and now
- 28:06Speaker 5: I actually do love him, so like yeah, yeah, like
- 28:09Speaker 5: that would have been she had.
- 28:10Speaker 7: To go back up there and be like, I'm so sorry,
- 28:12Speaker 7: Like I had this completely Like I was thinking about
- 28:15Speaker 7: in my head. I was like, what if production let
- 28:17Speaker 7: them do this, then it would be the biggest twist
- 28:20Speaker 7: of all time actually, because I was like, what's this
- 28:22Speaker 7: big twist going to be?
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd been Do you want to explain what our
- 28:25Speaker 2: theory was going to be?
- 28:26Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a theory we had, but I also
- 28:27Speaker 3: agree with you that would have been wild, and it
- 28:30Speaker 3: also would have made sense for how much they built
- 28:32Speaker 3: up this ending that was. It was different, but it
- 28:36Speaker 3: wasn't like that different. It wasn't uniquely different than other seasons.
- 28:42Speaker 3: We've seen stuff similar in the same vein. What Ashley
- 28:46Speaker 3: and I actually thought there was going to happen was
- 28:49Speaker 3: that Kelsey was gonna feel like the default option, especially
- 28:53Speaker 3: to the viewer. So Daisy gets down and she's like, hey,
- 28:56Speaker 3: it's you know, it's obviously you know I got to go.
- 29:00Speaker 3: This isn't going to work between us and Joey's on
- 29:02Speaker 3: the eye and standing there at.
- 29:04Speaker 2: The you know, yeah, like they were gonna make it
- 29:07Speaker 2: look like he was really upset about that.
- 29:10Speaker 3: And then it was like Kelsey comes down, He's like,
- 29:12Speaker 3: I guess it's you, which I'm so glad they didn't
- 29:15Speaker 3: because that would have absolutely won. It would have really
- 29:20Speaker 3: made like I think viewers upset because we would have
- 29:22Speaker 3: been like, wait, so is it a love story or
- 29:24Speaker 3: is it like not? And then I think it would
- 29:26Speaker 3: have been really hard and I never want to under
- 29:30Speaker 3: uh speak to this, especially for the people listening. It'd
- 29:33Speaker 3: been really hard on the couple if that's how they
- 29:36Speaker 3: made it look, because no matter what, then Joey be
- 29:39Speaker 3: like trying and explain to Kelsey like, no, it really
- 29:41Speaker 3: always was to you, and this was the way it seemed.
- 29:43Speaker 3: So I'm glad that went it did. But that's what
- 29:45Speaker 3: Ashley and I thought was gonna happen, was that Kelsey
- 29:47Speaker 3: was like the default because Daisy leaves.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Yeah, both terrifying. We're so glad that they made it
- 29:55Speaker 2: that it was as happy ending as it could have been. Okay, well,
- 30:01Speaker 2: let's take a little pause here and we're going to
- 30:05Speaker 2: regroup everyone, and we're going to talk about the after
- 30:09Speaker 2: the final rowse and most importantly the Bachelorette selection. We
- 30:15Speaker 2: will see you next time. Look after that part two,
- 30:17Speaker 2: the next time We do love you bye.
