- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the Emotional Mastery Podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 1: I am your host, rochelle.
- 0:04Speaker 1: I'm a holistic human design health coach and this is a space for human design and spiritual journey.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It's not about being a master of your emotions, rather mastering the tools to self-regulate, to awakening yourself and remembering who you are.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Human design changed my life about five years ago and I've been learning and teaching the system ever since.
- 0:24Speaker 1: This podcast is human design meets spirituality, meets astrology.
- 0:27Speaker 1: You don't have to have a belief system to be here, just an open mind and curiosity.
- 0:32Speaker 1: This is a journey of meeting yourself and awakening to your infinite potential.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Now let the magic begin.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Emotional Mastery Podcast.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I am Rochelle, and today we're going to be talking about Pluto.
- 0:46Speaker 1: I had planned on sort of doing the planets inner planets, outer planets but with everything going on.
- 0:53Speaker 1: So the next one was going to be Saturn, but with everything going on, I wanted to dive real deep into Pluto and just kind of skip over all the rest and just go to Pluto.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Especially, you know, yesterday was election day.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Today I'm recording this is Wednesday, so tomorrow's Thursday, as this is released, there's a lot of energy going around, there's a lot of fear going around, there's a lot of anxiety going around, and so this aspect of your chart, you know, pluto is really really powerful.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Pluto is really really potent, and I think you know Pluto is in Capricorn currently and moving into Aquarius on the 19th of this month, so this is the last little bit that Pluto is going to be in Capricorn in our lifetimes.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It takes Pluto about 248 years to circle the zodiac, so you know, who knows, though, with Pluto moving into Aquarius, we might have some incredible leaps in medicine, because Aquarius is innovation, it's technology and it is, you know, all these things that are all these new devices and technology that are coming out around health.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It's just, it's really aligned with the astrology, and so, yeah, we're just going to dive into the realm of Pluto and see how you can connect with Pluto in your chart.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I have said it so many times on here, but I have such a Plutonic chart.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I have what they call a Hades moon, which means my moon is square to Pluto.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Pluto is in my fourth house, in Scorpio, and I have Jupiter in the eighth house, and so these are all Scorpionic, plutonic themes, and we'll really dive into that, but I've always really felt this death-rebirth cycle and call it an emotional wave, however you want to word it, on my moon.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So this has always been a huge part of my experience.
- 2:37Speaker 1: And somebody asked me yesterday.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I was on a podcast interview and they were talking about my relationship with my emotions and I can't remember specifically what the question was, but it really related to my emotions and I guess why I really talk about that and it's been a marking factor of my life.
- 2:54Speaker 1: When I look back, it's always always been emotions and the best thing I did for myself was to understand how to regulate, to zoom out, to know that this is just a sensation, I don't have to attach the narrative of my mind.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And so emotions have been huge and I think, because I have this Pluto influence really intense Pluto influence on my emotions has really intensified what I felt.
- 3:16Speaker 1: And so feeling emotions have always, always been a lesson in my life and why I speak to it, why I teach it, why I really dive into it.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And this specific Scorpio season you know Scorpio is usually pretty intense for me because I have Pluto and Scorpio in my fourth house and it really brings up a lot of different things.
- 3:33Speaker 1: But this season I don't know this just feels different.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I think it's because I've been diving into shadow a little bit differently over the last year or so, like really this full embodiment of surrender to it and not resisting it anymore.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Because I think you know, we don't want to feel bad, we don't want to feel the anxiety, and so often we resist it, we push it away and we swear we're going to change and this, that and the other thing.
- 3:56Speaker 1: But like what if you just sat with it and I think that's the realization I've come to over the last, however long where when something comes up, instead of shoving it away and trying to like avoid it or be like no, no, you know this is not happening Just sitting with it.
- 4:09Speaker 1: And you know we have things that we don't want to face about ourself.
- 4:12Speaker 1: We have things, you know, intrusive thoughts, dark thoughts.
- 4:15Speaker 1: It's just part of who we are.
- 4:17Speaker 1: We don't have to act on those things, but it is part of our nature.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Right, where there's lightness, there is dark.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Where there's love, there is hate.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Where there's joy, there is sadness.
- 4:24Speaker 1: It's this polarity.
- 4:26Speaker 1: And another thing that came up on the podcast interview yesterday, as I was, they were asking about my chart and kind of going into depth, going into detail about my chart.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You know astrology and human design and she had said she was like.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You know, it's really interesting.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Your chart holds a lot of oppositions, a lot of opposing energy, a lot of polarity, and I've always felt that in my life and it can be really confusing because I hold both energies really in a lot of the aspects of my chart.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Right Like Taurus, sun, leo, moon, earth and fire are opposing energies.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Right Like Earth and water go together, fire and air go together, but Earth and water sorry, earth and fire and air and water are sort of these opposite elements.
- 5:07Speaker 1: They're more challenging elements to get together.
- 5:10Speaker 1: And then I have the six three profile in human design.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I just there's a lot to it and it's sort of been, you know, it's been a part of my, my life and my journey and I had to get to the point where I could realize I can hold both and it's not either, or it's both.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Realize I can hold both and it's not either, or it's both.
- 5:25Speaker 1: And I can hold both opposing energies, I can use those to better myself and to accept myself and to be myself.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And that's such a beautiful for me, that was such a beautiful realization where it's like through this, when you look from your big three right, like your sun, moon and rising, it's like through that Leo energy, through being, you know, bold, or through speaking my voice, or through just that dramatic kind of like see me, leo energy that will allow me then to settle in to my Taurus energy, you know.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And so it's really this beautiful thing.
- 5:58Speaker 1: That's why, you know, human design and astrology is so holistic, because it's not just one piece to it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: When you have to, you have to look at the whole and everything that goes along with it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: So, with all of that being said, let's dive into Pluto.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Right, pluto is the planet of transformation, power, death, rebirth right, it's everything that's in the shadows.
- 6:18Speaker 1: So this also, you know, pluto is the planet of the underworld, the hidden parts of our psyche.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So our subconscious, right, this is where we store our deepest fears, but also the greatest potential for your rebirth.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So, if you're interested in understanding your inner power and transformation, pluto is the way that we can get there through our chart, right.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And so, when you look at Pluto and the underworld, so we're just looking at mythology, right and the underworld, so we're just looking at mythology right, pluto is a planet of transformation and it's really deep and it's slow and it's intense, right, and it's really challenging.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Pluto enters our lives.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It really digs up what we've hidden and especially aspects of ourselves that we'd rather not like see, right?
- 7:00Speaker 1: So Pluto holds the energy, pluto holds the memory of, like trauma, past traumas that sometimes our conscious mind isn't ready to face, and it will hold that until you're ready to see it.
- 7:10Speaker 1: And this is typically like whenever Pluto has a transit that impacts your chart specifically.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It sort of makes it uncomfortable, so that you have to face these things and you have to move through these things, right?
- 7:21Speaker 1: So think of, like that underworld in mythology.
- 7:23Speaker 1: This is a place where you know all the dark hidden fears and desires and wounds.
- 7:28Speaker 1: They all live there, right?
- 7:29Speaker 1: And so when you think of the mythology, like Pluto, hades basically stole Persephone from the like, from the world, and brought her down to Hades, brought her down to to hell, basically, hades and her mother, mother Gaia, right, mother Nature was just distraught, was so upset, and just this is why we have, like, these different seasons right, nothing grew in the winter.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Right, nothing grew when Persephone was not there.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And so you know, there are so many different versions of the story.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Some are very I guess the word grotesque is coming to my mind, but really dark Right.
- 8:04Speaker 1: And then you have just like the overview of the story where you know he basically captured her Right and made her his queen, like kind of forced her into being his queen.
- 8:13Speaker 1: And then you know her mother begged Zeus to return her back to Earth and they made this deal where he agreed that she would come back to Earth but she would have to spend some time in Hades and she ate a pomegranate, which is why Pluto it rules pomegranates, it rules psilocybin mushrooms, these types of things from herbalism perspective, but she ate the pomegranates before she went.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So then she was forced to come back for six months out of the year.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So if you think about the seasons, right when Persephone was returned to Earth, that spring and summer where her mother was able to rejoice and be happy, and then when she's in Hades, she then it's, you know, fall and winter.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Things are dying and it's just a natural part of life, like death and rebirth, and it can be literal, but it doesn't have to be literal right, when we think of the seasons, I mean plants, things have to die in order to be reborn, and so, again, that's really about the ego and stuff, and so it can be applied to the ego is what I meant.
- 9:18Speaker 1: So in astrology, pluto is associated with Scorpio.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It rules Scorpio, as well as Mars, and it rules the eighth house.
- 9:24Speaker 1: So these you know, it's all about going beneath the surface, uncovering mysteries, confronting taboos.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So, whether it's fear, control, death, rebirth, pluto really wants us to look at these things.
- 9:38Speaker 1: We can also think about Pluto as like our shadow self, right?
- 9:41Speaker 1: So this is like Carl Jung, who talks about this, the shadow.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's parts of ourselves that we repress or avoid.
- 9:46Speaker 1: So this is our underworld, our deep subconscious.
- 9:49Speaker 1: So if we're willing to face our shadow, pluto really, really offers us the potential for healing.
- 9:54Speaker 1: That's why it is transformation.
- 9:56Speaker 1: It is known as transformation.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So if on the same coin, on the opposite side of the same coin, two sides of the same coin, whatever term I'm trying to say, right, if we resist Pluto, it can feel really destructive.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to say, right, if we resist Pluto, it can feel really destructive.
- 10:10Speaker 1: So it's going to bring up the same thing over and over and over and over again until we deal with them.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That's why Pluto is also known a little bit.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I know.
- 10:16Speaker 1: We know that Saturn is the planet of karma, but Pluto also holds a lot of karma, right.
- 10:20Speaker 1: This is really going to reveal those patterns that persist, that keep showing up until we transform.
- 10:25Speaker 1: And you know, if you're on this personal development journey, like we know that, like things are going to show up in a different way, a different form, until we learn that lesson and so that Pluto really holds a part of that right.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Pluto is really again these aspects of ourself that we suppress.
- 10:39Speaker 1: We need to gain awareness, you know, and that pressure of it.
- 10:43Speaker 1: When it's when there's a transiting aspect of Pluto that hits our chart, it's going to come up right.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So let's look at Pluto in your natal chart, right, because where it is is where you'll experience this transformation and, of course, this pain and possibly trauma and all those things it represents your relationship to power and control, regeneration, and so when you understand the area of life that Pluto is influencing, you can really begin to see where you'll face some of your biggest challenges and your biggest growth opportunities.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So the house placement is really important as well.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So Pluto is a generational planet, so it's gonna, you know it's not like you're the only one on that day or whatever that's born with it.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It is a generational planet.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Now what makes it unique is the way it's aspected in your chart, the house that it's in, and so it really operates differently in different houses.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So, like in the fourth house, I have Pluto in my fourth house, right.
- 11:35Speaker 1: It really challenges you to face family patterns and ancestral wounds, and this was really powerful because I understood, once I really dug in and learned, what Pluto in the first house meant.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I could then understand why I viewed from the lens that I do.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Right, it doesn't mean that my immediate family has so much trauma held in it, but likely maybe ancestral trauma, things that have been passed down that haven't been dealt with.
- 12:00Speaker 1: But also, pluto in the fourth house just gives the lens I'm viewing through this lens right of what that means.
- 12:08Speaker 1: So in a you know maybe in the seventh house, right, it's really then influencing your relationships and bringing transformative or even calling in karmic partners that will help you heal the area of your life.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Right In the 10th house, it really brings transformation to your career, your public life, and there's always an element of discomfort when it comes to this because it is challenging you.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Right, it's holding karma and it is challenging you.
- 12:30Speaker 1: So each house really holds a different energy, a different area of life where you might experience like control, power struggles and, again, healing, so it can feel really intense, but, again, like the goal is to heal and evolve in these areas of your life, and Pluto takes about 12 to 30 years.
- 12:50Speaker 1: It really really depends.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Each sign is different but it takes about 12 to 30 years to move through each sign, meaning that it influences like the entire generation.
- 12:59Speaker 1: We're going to go through a little bit in actually we'll just do it now what each, each sign means, but it's usually, again, generational themes tied to power, growth and transformation.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So if we're looking at each, you know again it takes 248 years.
- 13:16Speaker 1: So kind of starting from, let's start from Leo, which was 1939, kind of like just going back to that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: So Pluto was in Leo in 1939 to 1958.
- 13:25Speaker 1: This is like the me generation I'm air quoting it.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Themes that would come up with Pluto and Leo are themes of self-expression, power, legacy, right.
- 13:35Speaker 1: This was a time marked by innovation and rebellion and leadership and societal roles.
- 13:39Speaker 1: If we're looking back at history and that moves into Pluto and Virgo, this is the self-improvement generation, right, this was 1956 to 1972, focused on health service, critical analysis and this has also really witnessed some cultural shifts in wellness, work and environmental awareness during this time, because, of course, with anything there's the opposition.
- 13:58Speaker 1: So Virgo holds some of the energy of Pisces as well, right, pluto or sorry, leo holds the energy of Aquarius.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Then Libra, which was 1971 to 1984, it is going to hold some of the energy of Aries, because in order to really embody that energy, we have to go through the opposite.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And so this was the relationship generation, right.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Redefining partnerships, marriages, equality.
- 14:19Speaker 1: This was really marked by social justice movements and shifts in interpersonal dynamics.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And then Pluto and Scorpio, which is what I am a generation of 1983 to 1995.
- 14:31Speaker 1: This was the transformational generation.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Pluto rules, scorpio right.
- 14:34Speaker 1: So a lot of us were interested in psychology, the occult.
- 14:38Speaker 1: We experienced really deep and sometimes painful collective shifts around sexuality, death, rebirth.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And then Pluto and Sagittarius, 1995 to 2008.
- 14:48Speaker 1: This is the expansion generation, driven by their desire for freedom, adventure and meaning.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Right.
- 14:55Speaker 1: This generation really witnessed the globalization and radical shifts in technology, knowledge and cultural expansion.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Pluto and Capricorn, which is both my kids, 2008 to 2023, this is the authority generation, right.
- 15:07Speaker 1: They focus on power structures, tradition, institutions and they, as most of us did, really saw transformations in government finance and corporate structures, right, as well as the rise in, like, collective responsibility.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And then Pluto and Aquarius, which is where we're heading 2023 to 2043.
- 15:24Speaker 1: So the 19th when it goes into Aquarius, it will be there until, basically, for four years, for four years, for 20 years, because it will it'll dip back in.
- 15:33Speaker 1: So 2043 is when it moves into Pisces, but then it'll kind of dip back into Aquarius a couple times, just like it has done over the last year.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So this is the revolution generation, right, this is collective transformation through technology, social reforms and freedom.
- 15:47Speaker 1: So this generation will likely push boundaries on individuality, innovation and really redefine that collective identity and I think we're seeing that already.
- 15:57Speaker 1: So that's sort of an overview of Pluto and the signs that we have seen it in so far that we have seen it in so far.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So Pluto transits right, this is a transformation in action, right?
- 16:10Speaker 1: So when we're looking through the transits and seeing how it impacts us again remember when the transits impact your chart specifically you're going to feel that pressure, like personally, for me, pluto has been square my nodes for a while and I really, really feel that pressure.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And as Pluto moves through Aquarius, it's going to be opposite my moon, which I'm already anticipating to be a little bit intense.
- 16:28Speaker 1: But I already have moon, square, pluto, so I feel that intensity inside, the difference between squares and oppositions, they're both kind of more challenging.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Squares are internal challenges that we need to like act on right.
- 16:39Speaker 1: We need to like take action to change or to move through.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Oppositions are more challenging energies that we're going to witness from outside of us, right.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So Pluto, again, it's really slow moving.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So when it has transits, they're long lasting periods right, they're long lasting transits, and so that's why it's so significant when it aspects things in your chart, because it's not going to be like two days and it's over.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Right, they often last several years.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So this is really creating the opportunity for deep transformational work and I think a lot of the things that I'm currently moving through, like the Scorpio season, it's been really intense, but the ability to sort of like lean into the shadow as opposed to like stopping it is because it's been pressure on my nodes for so long.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's not letting me avoid that.
- 17:21Speaker 1: You know, people-pleasing like Libra, and it's making it so uncomfortable where I'm like I really constantly have to check in myself.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Am I people-pleasing like Libra and it's making it so uncomfortable, where I'm like I really constantly have to check in myself Am I being?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Am I people-pleasing right now?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Am I being codependent, like and it's also making the qualities of Aries a little bit uncomfortable, right, where it's like that leadership, it's like I see the areas where I feel so much discomfort there and I have to really push through them.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's forcing me to do that right.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So again, for example, like when Pluto transits your natal moon which for me it will soon, right, but you may find your emotional life is really really impacted, right, this could be a period of emotional release.
- 17:52Speaker 1: This could be really healing past traumas, facing deep fears, right, because Pluto will bring up what has been repressed.
- 17:59Speaker 1: So, whether that's in the area of emotions, relationships, self-perception, right, wherever it is.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So, for this one, aquarius for me is in my seventh house and Leo, my moon, is in my first house.
- 18:11Speaker 1: So this is really going to be putting pressure on my relationships and my sense, my personal identity, my sense of self and how I show up in there, right.
- 18:19Speaker 1: So this is going to be really uncomfortable.
- 18:21Speaker 1: But also, I sort of get excited for those things now because I'm like it's really there for the opportunity to transform and I think that when we can see it like that, it helps us really move through it.
- 18:33Speaker 1: One major transit many of us will experience is going to be Pluto square Pluto which usually happens in your late 30s, and this can really feel like intense confrontation with the self.
- 18:44Speaker 1: So that's also going to be happening to me.
- 18:47Speaker 1: That's actually kind of getting close to being squared right now.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because my Pluto is at five degrees of Scorpio and so once Pluto hits five degrees of Aquarius, it's going to be squared and it's still within the realm right now.
- 19:01Speaker 1: So that's really challenging.
- 19:03Speaker 1: So I can definitely relate and I really just just now realized that that was happening to me.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But again, this can feel like really intense confrontation with the self, right, it's really calling us to break free from our patterns that we've lived in for decades and I'm like literally the aha, like the bells, the light bulbs are going off right now, like so crazy of what I've been experiencing with this in my own personal life and it's going to get more intense as it like directly squares.
- 19:27Speaker 1: But yeah, this might be something for a whole other podcast episode, but again like super challenging, right, and but they're also again, they're also allowing us to reclaim our personal power and remember squares are challenging aspects that we're being called to take action on.
- 19:42Speaker 1: So creating awareness, doing the work, facing the shadows.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And then how can you change it?
- 19:48Speaker 1: Because, just like anything, if we're not changing it, we're choosing it.
- 19:51Speaker 1: If we're not changing it, it's going to continue to show up over and over in different ways until we actually claim it and change it Right.
- 20:00Speaker 1: And so I mean I love journaling, you know and I.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Something I posted on Instagram was inspiring, keeping your daily life inspired.
- 20:09Speaker 1: And so what I mean by this is, like I am very clear on the life that I want to live, right, I've journaled on it.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I have this picture of this image in my mind, like I know, I know what is available to me, I know what I'm going to embody, I know what I'm going to be, and so it would be so easy to just write that down once and go through my day and like not think about it, right, but instead, like I choose to inspire myself through podcasts, through YouTube videos, through audio books, like through things that I'm constantly consuming, to keep me tapped into that image, that visual, that dream, keep me tapped into source, just keep me tapped into that energetic frequency of what I'm going to call in.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So that's what I constantly do during my day.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Of course, I have moments, ebbs and flows, like I have sometimes, like the summer, when I've just completely gone down the rabbit hole of, like fantasy, romantic books, like I love it, right, and that's really sparking my creativity again.
- 20:58Speaker 1: So I really really appreciate that.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But also making sure I'm finding time to read other things and to infuse other things in my life so that I am continuing to be inspired and I'm continuing to bring these things into my life.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Right, I'm just gonna turn my page here, cause I took notes and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything as we're moving through this.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Um, yeah, so one thing that I did write down too is like where pluto um, where pluto is might hold confusion.
- 21:25Speaker 1: We, we know it's going to hold pain, but it might hold some confusion and pain.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And then this is a quote that I'm not sure what book it was from.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I think it's from the book of pl by Stephen Forrest.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I could be incorrect, but it says a descent into the dark must proceed an ascent into the light.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I will read that one more time A descent into the dark must proceed, an ascent into the light.
- 21:48Speaker 1: So we have to face the darkness in order to come into the light, right, so okay, so we've kind of talked about and identified Pluto in your chart transiting Pluto, how that will impact you, how Pluto shows up.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I mean, it's just Pluto.
- 22:02Speaker 1: There's so much depth to it, like I mean, I love it, I love that depth, but it can be really challenging, especially if we don't want to face it, right.
- 22:09Speaker 1: But here are some tools, right, here are some ways that you can work with the energy.
- 22:15Speaker 1: What I've really been doing for myself is again stopping to, stop resisting it, because for so long I was, I would.
- 22:21Speaker 1: My internal narrative was like no, don't think that, don't feel like that, right, and so I had to stop that and be like okay, so I'm feeling this, I'm thinking this and I'll journal.
- 22:31Speaker 1: If it's a thought, I'll journal on it.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Um, kind of prove myself wrong a little bit.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Or rather like kind of come at it with compassion too, so I'll question it.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Okay, do I know that this is true?
- 22:41Speaker 1: Why do I think this?
- 22:43Speaker 1: What is the worst case scenario?
- 22:44Speaker 1: What is likely to happen?
- 22:45Speaker 1: Just sort of like these poking holes sort of on the narrative and then also holding myself a little bit where it's like okay, do I like this thought?
- 22:53Speaker 1: No, but can I love it as well?
- 22:56Speaker 1: Because I love myself and this is a piece of me.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Right, I'm reading a book Phantasma it's a really dark fantasy book, I guess and she has what she calls the shadow voice, and it's basically intrusive thoughts.
- 23:08Speaker 1: It's this voice in her head that's constantly telling her to do these horrific things, and so it tells her she has to knock on things, she has to say things, like in order to stop the voice, like it'll only stop when she like does these things.
- 23:18Speaker 1: And so somebody is witnessing her in this moment of like panic, where she's knocking on things and she's saying things, and he's like what's happening?
- 23:24Speaker 1: And she's like it's just, it's the voice in my head, right, it's the shadow voice.
- 23:28Speaker 1: And he's like what is the shadow voice?
- 23:29Speaker 1: And I thought it was so beautiful and so scorpionic and so plutonic.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Right, because we all have it.
- 23:38Speaker 1: We all have parts of ourselves inside that we don't want to face.
- 23:40Speaker 1: To walk around and act like we're perfect and we have no shadow is bullshit, like it's not possible.
- 23:44Speaker 1: We all hold it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Just look around the world, right, like we are all fragments of each other.
- 23:50Speaker 1: We are all mirrors of each other and we all hold the energy of shadow.
- 23:52Speaker 1: We all hold the energy of shadow, we all hold the energy of darkness, and to deny that further suppresses it.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And it's like, when we look around at society, I think the things that are the most taboo are the things that we most suppress and that's why they become dangerous.
- 24:09Speaker 1: It's not because the thing in itself is dangerous.
- 24:11Speaker 1: It's because it's so suppressed that, in order to act it out or in order, it's like, our desire for it has increased so much.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's like.
- 24:19Speaker 1: It's like if I put a lollipop in the kitchen and I told my kids you can't touch that and I just left it there, like 100% they're going to eat it, but they're going to feel bad about it.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Right, they're going to try and hide it, as opposed to just like leaving a lollipop out there and like being like okay, it's bad for you, but if you want to have it, have it right, then they would just eat it and like move on, or maybe they wouldn't even eat it.
- 24:37Speaker 1: It's the it creates this desire for it.
- 24:40Speaker 1: That wouldn't have been there had it not, and I think that's sort of like cheating right, like when we put this like no, like we need to be monogamous and there's no cheating allowed, or we have no grace for people who slip up, or whatever it's like.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I think half of cheating is the no factor, like it's off limits, it's not allowed, which then creates this rush, almost this like taboo Right.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And I think that if we and I'm going to say this and I'm a Taurus sun and a Scorpio earth, so I'm really jealous and possessive, so like I get it, but like if we almost made it like not that big of a deal, the drive and the desire for it would be less right If you're with a partner who is not really jealous or controlling or possessive, like your desire like to be with somebody else or like to get something from somebody else wouldn't be that intense, so anyway.
- 25:32Speaker 1: So that was a little bit of a side note, okay, so back to tools, to working with the Pluto in your chart.
- 25:38Speaker 1: So shadow work, journaling, right, this is really really helpful.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Like I said, scorpio season I knew I was going to be doing some shadow work, so I've really really been identifying my shadows when I'm moving through, like noticing when in my body I'm feeling and just like kind of sitting with it.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So you can ask yourself, like what fears am I avoiding?
- 25:54Speaker 1: Where in my life am I giving away my power, right?
- 25:57Speaker 1: So if you can like bring these up and like invite them to the table, pluto will really face these parts and eventually release them.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Right.
- 26:05Speaker 1: So it's like when you have awareness of something, it lessens its hold on you.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So, instead of like, if you have that shadow sort of like creeping up, instead of being like no, go back down there If you're like, okay, what do you need?
- 26:15Speaker 1: Right, like it all of a sudden is disarmed a little bit and you'll end up moving through it.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Meditation and visual visualization is really helpful, as you can find like guided, guided visualizations or guided meditations right To like really meet and integrate your shadow.
- 26:31Speaker 1: To be magnetic has some amazing ones.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Insight timer has so many meditations and visualizations you can go through there, right, or you can even just like.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I went to like energy workers once and they were like there's something you know.
- 26:44Speaker 1: They were just like doing energy work.
- 26:45Speaker 1: They're at my body and they kind of stopped at my heart space and they were like there's like a door locked in here and I was like, yeah, there is and they're like, do you want to open it?
- 26:51Speaker 1: And I was like not really at the time this was years ago Right, it was like not really, cause there's, there's, I could feel it.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Right, I could feel the energy there.
- 26:57Speaker 1: And since I've like slowly kind of opened that up and like seen what's really in there.
- 27:00Speaker 1: But if you can just imagine yourself maybe on the other side of a door right, like descending into like a safe, create, a safe space, but a safe dark space where that you can coming in right and then just like imagine integrating these parts.
- 27:16Speaker 1: I think one of the beautiful pieces of the shadow work DI within tuba magnetic is like going down, collecting your shadow part, coming up and then facing your highest self and your shadow self and just letting them merge together.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Because that's what we are right.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Breathwork, grounding practices these are just really great for, like emotional regulation, no-transcript regulate that, so you're not always taken away with it.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It can help you process and release emotions.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Also, eft tapping has been one I've really really been diving into because you can do oh my gosh, brad Yates I believe his name Tap Daddy is what they call him on YouTube.
- 27:56Speaker 1: He's got so many different ones, like five minute tapping.
- 28:00Speaker 1: It's super easy, it touches on all your meridian points.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It just really is a really beautiful practice.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So I try and do that before I leave the house in the morning.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Just do a real quick like I'll just whatever if I'm feeling anxiety, if I want abundance, if I'm feeling stressed, if I'm overthinking, literally type anything into youtube, like eft tapping for, and I promise you he's got a video in there and they're usually pretty short, and so it just allows you to tap in and ground in before, like, I leave the house.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And then, of course, like, like therapy is really helpful, it'll really help.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You know, guided with somebody can bring some themes and understanding to like childhood trauma, unconscious mind right, and so that can be really really helpful as well.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And, of course, pluto in Scorpio generation is like most of us do that.
- 28:42Speaker 1: So like, even as I'm, you know, like focused on astrology.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I focus on psychological astrology because I find it fascinating the way that we perceive ourself right and focusing on somatic work and moving through all this and healing.
- 28:54Speaker 1: That's very Pluto and Scorpio.
- 28:56Speaker 1: So again, just to wrap up this episode and how you can really start to work with Pluto in your chart, what I love to do.
- 29:05Speaker 1: When I'm working with any aspect in my chart, I just take a fresh page of my notebook and I write it down.
- 29:10Speaker 1: So, pluto, for me it's five degrees of Scorpio, in the fourth house.
- 29:14Speaker 1: So I'll write that down and then I Google it.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Or I have so many books, but you can Google it right.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Just Google Pluto in the fourth house, write down everything that resonates, or whatever house it is for you, right, pluto at five degrees.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Write down everything that resonates.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Pluto in Scorpio write down everything that resonates and sit with it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Really sit with it, right.
- 29:30Speaker 1: But again, identify Pluto's house.
- 29:32Speaker 1: So this is the area of life that transformation is happening, where you're likely going to face that pain, that confusion, your deepest fears.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Right and like, reflect on where that power and control or loss, right, like, reflect where those themes have come up in this area of life.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Then next you want to look at Pluto's aspects.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So if you pull your chart from astrocom, there are listed.
- 29:54Speaker 1: There's like a box thing on the bottom that lists your aspects, but an easier one.
- 29:58Speaker 1: If you're not very, if you're like reading astrology isn't necessarily your thing, you can go.
- 30:03Speaker 1: There's so many websites but, like time passages will literally list them out.
- 30:06Speaker 1: So it will say like Pluto.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So you can look for Pluto, pluto square, this, Pluto trine, this, like whatever.
- 30:15Speaker 1: So again like, look for any major aspects that Pluto makes to your personal planets right in your chart.
- 30:18Speaker 1: If it's, it could also be conjunct some outer planets.
- 30:19Speaker 1: So just like, look for that.
- 30:20Speaker 1: But like hard aspects again, like squares and oppositions often point to areas of tension, growth and then trans and sex styles are more harmonious energy.
- 30:29Speaker 1: So this is where you can naturally work with Pluto.
- 30:32Speaker 1: So, again, write down anything that resonates right.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Observe Pluto transits.
- 30:36Speaker 1: See if anything is happening right now in the transits that's really impacting you and what you're moving through.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Right, because these are slow moving.
- 30:43Speaker 1: So over years it can really bring like life changes and opportunities for this healing work.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Engage in shadow work.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Remember you're safe, make sure it's a safe space.
- 30:52Speaker 1: But journaling, meditation, visualization, sort of anything that we went through to really connect with those parts of yourself that maybe you would usually avoid.
- 30:59Speaker 1: So ask yourself again where you can just be honest about it and then where you can take power over these areas.
- 31:05Speaker 1: And then patience, right, like about it, and then where you can take power over these areas.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And then patience, right, like this work is slow, it's really really slow.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Pluto moves slow, but it is so profound, right, give yourself time to integrate and then really be gentle with yourself during these shifts.
- 31:16Speaker 1: And, of course, if you are really wanting to do a deep dive into this, you can book a session and we can really go over in detail.
- 31:23Speaker 1: You know what Pluto means in your charts.
- 31:24Speaker 1: All the links are down the show notes.
- 31:26Speaker 1: I don't currently have a schedule or up, so just send me a DM and we'll book something.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Actually might make a request form, so check out checking the show notes for that.
- 31:38Speaker 1: But again, like, yeah, this is, it's really powerful, it's transformative, this energy.
- 31:42Speaker 1: So I thank you so much for diving into Pluto with me.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Right, and again, it's not about fixing or controlling.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Really it's about surrendering and allowing.
- 31:52Speaker 1: So allow yourself to grow, allow yourself to face the pain, find ways to regulate yourself, whether that's through therapy, grounding, whatever works to help regulate your emotions as you go through this.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Because, again, like, pluto holds really really deep stuff.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Right, and the last thing I'll say is, like Mars and Pluto, both real Scorpio and the difference really is that Mars, because right now we have this Mars Pluto opposition in the transits, which is really, really intense.
- 32:15Speaker 1: But, like Mars is sort of that like fiery, quick, immature, um, expression of our anger, right, it's just like it's something happens.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It's reactionary, it's reacting in the moment, it's like frustration, whereas Pluto is like things that have been brewing and boiling and it's like really deep, deep inside and it's been, it's been wanting to come to the surface.
- 32:33Speaker 1: So it's very different energy, right, you kind of have that quick, fast reaction and then Pluto is like all the secrets, all the things that you haven't quite said yet, and it's just coming up and it's feeling really intense.
- 32:44Speaker 1: So that's the difference between these two.
- 32:45Speaker 1: But that's Pluto.
- 32:48Speaker 1: So I hope this episode really helped you, especially during Scorpio season.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Move through this and understand Pluto in your chart a little bit and kind of empower you more when it comes to the energy of Pluto, because it's not supposed to be scary or it doesn't have to be scary, I'll say that, right, it can be really helps you.
- 33:05Speaker 1: It is transformation and so allowing yourself to be transformed by it but again, thank you so much for listening Um, and all the ways that you can work with me, all the things that you need to know are down in the show notes holistic human design Academy.
