- 0:55Speaker 3: Juicy Scoop.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. So much is happening.
- 1:01Speaker 2: And then I have time with my sister, the criminal
- 1:04Speaker 2: defense attorney, to talk about a sad murder that just happened,
- 1:08Speaker 2: but it's one of those things that happened on a honeymoon.
- 1:10Speaker 2: We're going to get into it. Okay, here we go.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Right off the bat, Britney Spears had quite a weekend
- 1:20Speaker 2: and she went and she posted some very strange things
- 1:23Speaker 2: about liking coffee, wanting coffee. Many of the times when
- 1:28Speaker 2: she goes on these long captions, it's about what she
- 1:32Speaker 2: suffered when she was in this conservatorship for 13 years
- 1:35Speaker 2: and that her family got to do things that she
- 1:37Speaker 2: didn't get to do. And this says the same thing.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And she actually posts a photo that her now husband, Sam,
- 1:45Speaker 2: was getting coffee with his sisters and that her sister, Jamie,
- 1:50Speaker 2: was with her dad, Jamie. And why did they get
- 1:53Speaker 2: to hang out and she didn't get to hang out?
- 1:55Speaker 2: And then she also posted, a text message that she
- 1:57Speaker 2: was sending to someone which no one responded to about
- 2:01Speaker 2: her lithium levels for her bipolar medication. Just now, Lynn Spears,
- 2:08Speaker 2: her mom, reposted a response from whoever that person that
- 2:12Speaker 2: she was writing about the lithium. That person then wrote,
- 2:15Speaker 2: I never got these and showed proof that she had
- 2:19Speaker 2: responded to Brittany, but according to Brittany's phone, no one
- 2:22Speaker 2: had responded to her. So, Now, these people, including Lynn,
- 2:26Speaker 2: are like, you know, were things being deleted? What was
- 2:31Speaker 2: going on these years? Also, Sam Lufty, Lufty, Lufty, if
- 2:35Speaker 2: you follow him on Twitter, he posted some emails that
- 2:40Speaker 2: have been revealed between Lou Taylor, who was the head
- 2:43Speaker 2: of her conservatorship, and some other people about how to,
- 2:47Speaker 2: you know, how to keep the conservatorship going, what to
- 2:49Speaker 2: do for Jamie. So you think you knew it all.
- 2:52Speaker 2: More and more is coming out. Meanwhile, Britney is doing
- 2:56Speaker 2: what Britney loves, saying that the world shouldn't make fun
- 2:59Speaker 2: of her or she hates the documentaries. Yet she's rolling around,
- 3:02Speaker 2: taking millions of pictures, holding her boobs. It makes her happy,
- 3:06Speaker 2: spinning around, dancing, photo dump. But the good news is,
- 3:12Speaker 2: is one of her videos in the past week is
- 3:15Speaker 2: she's singing a little. It's like the first time we've
- 3:17Speaker 2: heard her sing. And the news just came out right
- 3:20Speaker 2: now from page six that it recorded page six. She
- 3:23Speaker 2: is going to do kind of like Dua Lipa did
- 3:27Speaker 2: with Elton John, but singing Tiny Dancer, which what a
- 3:31Speaker 2: great song for her to do, because that's all we
- 3:32Speaker 2: seem to do is spin around and dance. So I
- 3:35Speaker 2: think it's great that she's recording with Elton John. I'm
- 3:38Speaker 2: sure it'll be a big hit. And, you know, but
- 3:41Speaker 2: it's interesting because she's working, but in the stuff that
- 3:44Speaker 2: she just posted, she was saying, I don't want to work.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Leave me alone. So listen. she definitely is going through
- 3:53Speaker 2: it and she likes to go through it with her
- 3:55Speaker 2: 45 million followers. So, um, but the mother is saying,
- 4:01Speaker 2: Lynn Spears is saying, Brittany reaching out through her Instagram
- 4:05Speaker 2: on her grid, please. Can we, you know, can I
- 4:10Speaker 2: see you? Can we talk? Um, I don't know. It's
- 4:13Speaker 2: such a drama. Adele. Meanwhile, she, meanwhile, she is rescheduling
- 4:19Speaker 2: her date. So if you had a ticket, um, And
- 4:22Speaker 2: you're probably heartbroken because I don't think when she canceled
- 4:26Speaker 2: the day before her shows, I don't think she really
- 4:29Speaker 2: thought about how much she was inconveniencing her hardcore fans. Now,
- 4:33Speaker 2: there's some people that are really wealthy and bought the
- 4:36Speaker 2: tickets and took their private jet there and was like, ah, damn.
- 4:39Speaker 2: All right, Adele, you do you, boo. Hang out with
- 4:41Speaker 2: your boyfriend. Figure out what kind of furniture you want
- 4:44Speaker 2: on stage. But there were a lot of people that
- 4:47Speaker 2: this was it. This is where they were going to
- 4:48Speaker 2: ask their girlfriend to marry them. This is where they're
- 4:50Speaker 2: going to celebrate a monumental birthday. This was their bachelorette weekend, whatever.
- 4:56Speaker 2: This was all of their savings for their big trip
- 5:00Speaker 2: to Vegas. And it was all centered around this date
- 5:03Speaker 2: and seeing Adele. Now, when their ticket is honored between
- 5:08Speaker 2: November and March at the Coliseum, who knows if that
- 5:11Speaker 2: person can take that time off of work again, or
- 5:14Speaker 2: pay for the flight or the Ubers or find another hotel,
- 5:19Speaker 2: all of it. And that's where it was a real bummer,
- 5:22Speaker 2: especially when you're canceling at a place like Vegas. You know,
- 5:26Speaker 2: I think it's, I think it's bad if you cancel,
- 5:28Speaker 2: if you're whatever at the Chicago theater or whatever, but
- 5:31Speaker 2: think about it. It's so much worse when it's a
- 5:34Speaker 2: destination type of event. So speaking of destination events, I
- 5:39Speaker 2: will be in New York. with one of your favorite
- 5:42Speaker 2: Carlos King, former producer of real houses, Atlanta and Potomac,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and so many other shows, because we are going to
- 5:48Speaker 2: be there. Bravo con weekend. I have my own show,
- 5:52Speaker 2: live juicy scoop, audience participation, lots of surprises that starts
- 5:58Speaker 2: at seven 30 sharp. It's an hour and a half
- 6:01Speaker 2: approximate show. If you want to know someone asked about that, Heather, mcdonald.net,
- 6:05Speaker 2: October 15th in New York city, get your tickets. They
- 6:08Speaker 2: are moving very fast. Um, I just want to talk
- 6:12Speaker 2: about another doppelganger, like another basically clone. I've talked about
- 6:17Speaker 2: cloning myself and how I would like to raise myself
- 6:20Speaker 2: and tell myself, focus on this. Don't focus on that.
- 6:25Speaker 2: This hairstyle won't look good on you. This is what
- 6:27Speaker 2: you should do. I would love that. Sometimes people actually
- 6:31Speaker 2: give birth to their clone. And Jennifer Garner has. I
- 6:35Speaker 2: saw a photo of Ben Affleck and his new bride, JLo,
- 6:38Speaker 2: and a couple of their kids in Paris and They
- 6:42Speaker 2: are on a big European vacation with the five kids.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And I am like, what? This is so weird. Why
- 6:50Speaker 2: is Jennifer Garner on a honeymoon with them? Okay, I
- 6:53Speaker 2: guess it's great. I guess she's like, you know, they're
- 6:55Speaker 2: that evolved. They're like more evolved than Gwyneth Paltrow and
- 6:58Speaker 2: her ex. No, that's their daughter. That's Ben Affleck's daughter.
- 7:03Speaker 2: She looks so much like Jennifer. It's crazy. Same hair,
- 7:06Speaker 2: same style, wears glasses. natural makeup, feminine, just so little,
- 7:12Speaker 2: just the whole vibe. It's amazing. And she had a
- 7:15Speaker 2: mask on. So maybe she doesn't look as much like
- 7:18Speaker 2: the mom without a mask, but with a mask, I
- 7:20Speaker 2: was dying. So that was kind of fun. What's not
- 7:24Speaker 2: fun is that Ben, I don't think is having that
- 7:26Speaker 2: great of a time. At least not the paparazzi shots
- 7:29Speaker 2: that they're taking and sharing with us. Um, he fell
- 7:34Speaker 2: asleep on like a gondola ride. He's tired. He was
- 7:37Speaker 2: crying at dinner and JLo was consoling him. It's been
- 7:41Speaker 2: a lot. He had to take photos. He had to
- 7:43Speaker 2: do a whole photo shoot at the park. Um, you know,
- 7:46Speaker 2: and pretend that paparazzi aren't looking at them, but there's
- 7:49Speaker 2: one shot where, where she's like hugging him. And Ben
- 7:53Speaker 2: is just like this looking right at the camera. And
- 7:56Speaker 2: I'm like, you're going along with it. You, you did
- 7:59Speaker 2: this 20 years ago with JLo. When you slicked back
- 8:02Speaker 2: your hair and we're driving, you know, um, Bentley's around
- 8:05Speaker 2: with her and Rolls Royces and Mordeo drive as all
- 8:08Speaker 2: the camera photos of you knew what was going to happen.
- 8:12Speaker 2: You guys are meant to be together. Deal with it.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Then he said, happy 53rd birthday JLo. And then of
- 8:17Speaker 2: course she said, oh, it's my birthday. I'm launching my
- 8:21Speaker 2: new JLo body line. Get this body lotion and have
- 8:25Speaker 2: your body look like mine. Amazing. Look, she looks amazing.
- 8:30Speaker 2: But look, she is marketing queen. She wants to stay relevant.
- 8:35Speaker 2: You can't blame her. So there's always new things. She
- 8:37Speaker 2: has a subscription account. She wants you to subscribe to
- 8:40Speaker 2: get the inside scoop of her life. And Ben, deal
- 8:44Speaker 2: with it. Okay. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. A couple
- 8:49Speaker 2: interesting things happened in the show. Jamie Lee Curtis is
- 8:54Speaker 2: an established actress. She's a very well-liked person. I know
- 8:58Speaker 2: this because I was reading the comments, and apparently a
- 9:01Speaker 2: lot of people loved that she made an appearance on
- 9:04Speaker 2: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. So she was in the
- 9:07Speaker 2: Halloweens when Kyle played one of the little kid characters
- 9:10Speaker 2: in it. And Kyle's like, I'm having a lunch to
- 9:14Speaker 2: benefit Children's Hospital with Jamie Lee Curtis. And she comes,
- 9:18Speaker 2: and I gotta say, you guys, I thought it was weird.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I thought it was really odd. I felt like Jamie...
- 9:25Speaker 2: Lee Curtis was there and treated it like she was
- 9:28Speaker 2: doing a guest star on blackish or something like, like
- 9:31Speaker 2: a major sitcom. She came in, she had a lot
- 9:33Speaker 2: of energy. Usually when there's like another famous person, that's
- 9:37Speaker 2: a guest at a party, whether it's me or someone else,
- 9:40Speaker 2: you kind of just act like you're there. You know,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you don't act like you're, you know, the cameras are
- 9:45Speaker 2: on you. You're like, you know, you act kind of
- 9:47Speaker 2: cool about it. Well, I mean, she is a big deal,
- 9:51Speaker 2: but so she walks in and, Kyle's like, I'm sorry,
- 9:55Speaker 2: I'm just a little flustered. I was just coloring my
- 9:58Speaker 2: my roots, getting rid of my gray. And it's just, oh,
- 10:01Speaker 2: just like, doesn't look good. I just need to get
- 10:03Speaker 2: rid of this gray. And she's saying it to Jamie
- 10:05Speaker 2: Lee Curtis, who has a completely gray head of hair
- 10:08Speaker 2: that she's rocked for years. One of the few people
- 10:10Speaker 2: that like rock was like, Hey, I'm gray. I don't
- 10:12Speaker 2: give a shit. And she's like, I'm, I don't care
- 10:16Speaker 2: about your gray. I don't, I don't care about your
- 10:19Speaker 2: gray hair. I don't care about your face. I don't
- 10:22Speaker 2: care about your outfit. I don't care about your home,
- 10:24Speaker 2: though it's lovely. I don't care about the food you're
- 10:26Speaker 2: going to serve. I care about your heart. All I
- 10:30Speaker 2: care about, Kyle, look at me. All I care about
- 10:34Speaker 2: is the beating vessel inside your body between the two lungs.
- 10:39Speaker 2: I was like, I hate that when someone does that
- 10:42Speaker 2: because then you're like, well, now thanks for making me
- 10:43Speaker 2: feel like an asshole that I'm a little bit vain
- 10:46Speaker 2: about my fucking gray roots. I just thought I could
- 10:48Speaker 2: talk to you like a girlfriend, not like you're going
- 10:50Speaker 2: to tell me you're some elevated being that would never
- 10:52Speaker 2: care about looks or anything. So then they sit down,
- 10:56Speaker 2: a bunch of them have COVID. And I remember I
- 10:59Speaker 2: went to a Christmas party and Crystal was there and
- 11:01Speaker 2: I was like, what's the juicy scoop? And she's like, well,
- 11:04Speaker 2: like every week someone has COVID. So we haven't been
- 11:07Speaker 2: filming Like not that things are a little stalled in
- 11:10Speaker 2: the juice department, but I think it's been a good,
- 11:13Speaker 2: I'm enjoying the juice. So anyway, they sit down and
- 11:17Speaker 2: Jamie Lint. So, and Cherie, which is a new girl,
- 11:21Speaker 2: she is Garcelle's friend. She says to Sutton, do you
- 11:27Speaker 2: have any eyelash glue? My eyelash is falling and Sutton
- 11:30Speaker 2: starts to fix it. And then Jamie Lee is like,
- 11:35Speaker 2: oh my God, stop right now. I am so, I
- 11:40Speaker 2: am so invested in this. Oh, let me, as if
- 11:43Speaker 2: she's like, oh, I'm, I've never seen such vanity at
- 11:47Speaker 2: a party. I've never seen girls like, it's just so
- 11:50Speaker 2: not me. Let me. And then she fixed it. And
- 11:52Speaker 2: then Sherry's like, thank you, Auntie Jamie. You just met
- 11:55Speaker 2: the woman. It was weird. Then she goes through her
- 11:58Speaker 2: gift pack, which is all these things. with my hand
- 12:02Speaker 2: in yours, which is great. The money goes to Children's Hospital.
- 12:05Speaker 2: That's nice. And then of course, Dorit's like, so chic.
- 12:08Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. I love it. I
- 12:10Speaker 2: love it. And then she's like, you know, of course,
- 12:13Speaker 2: Jamie Lynn is just such an evolved person. She doesn't
- 12:15Speaker 2: care about looks. We know you don't care about looks,
- 12:17Speaker 2: Jamie Lee. We saw your child's wedding, which was a
- 12:20Speaker 2: cosplay theme. And obviously it's about the people's heart. We
- 12:25Speaker 2: get it. I do believe she truly feels like that.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I thought it was weird. Crystal also talked about that
- 12:32Speaker 2: she has an eating disorder still, and she has a
- 12:35Speaker 2: lot of guilt about what she eats and thinks about it.
- 12:38Speaker 2: And she throws it up into which Eric and Jane goes, really? Well,
- 12:42Speaker 2: when I'm feeling a little bloated, a little fat, I
- 12:44Speaker 2: like to just take a bunch of laxatives and shit
- 12:46Speaker 2: it out. And Crystal's like, and she goes, but you,
- 12:51Speaker 2: you like to puke it. Crystal, you like to puke.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I'm like, give me a toilet and let me sit.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Cause that's the way I do it. Have you tried it? Oh,
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. It was so weird. Then thank God
- 13:05Speaker 2: Kathy Hilton is back. And we, like I said, we've
- 13:08Speaker 2: got a lot to look forward to. She was funny
- 13:10Speaker 2: and cool with Kyle. I missed her. So she is back.
- 13:14Speaker 2: And I got to tell you, Diane Jenkins is fucking
- 13:19Speaker 2: boring as shit. I cannot... I'm fast forwarding it. She's beautiful. Listen,
- 13:27Speaker 2: I don't blame you for casting this woman. I really don't.
- 13:31Speaker 2: She's beautiful. She knows all these celebrities. She's 48 and
- 13:36Speaker 2: trying to get pregnant with her second baby with her
- 13:38Speaker 2: 26-year-old husband. She has a 22-year-old son or something and
- 13:42Speaker 2: another daughter that jumps and is into horses. Yeah.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You got $ 250 million from your ex-husband. You hung out
- 13:50Speaker 2: with Jeffrey Epstein. I don't know. And I don't, you'd
- 13:52Speaker 2: think that was juicy. Okay. She's so bitchy and just boring,
- 13:58Speaker 2: like just boring, just not interesting at all. So I really,
- 14:04Speaker 2: I would be shocked if she came back, but, um, Anyway,
- 14:08Speaker 2: so that happened there. It's good. Also, we concluded the
- 14:13Speaker 2: Ultimate Girls trip. Dorinda, most people still think she's a
- 14:17Speaker 2: mean bitch. And a lot of people wonder, is this
- 14:20Speaker 2: the real Dorinda that we saw the last couple seasons?
- 14:23Speaker 2: And maybe the Dorinda we saw the first couple seasons
- 14:25Speaker 2: was her just acting being nice. And then as the
- 14:28Speaker 2: years went on, the cruelness came out. I don't know,
- 14:32Speaker 2: but she was awful and starting fights with everybody and
- 14:36Speaker 2: drank the whole time. It was just whatever. But what
- 14:39Speaker 2: was juicy is that the guy that was the butler
- 14:42Speaker 2: who was presented as her regular butler Marco, he was like,
- 14:47Speaker 2: I'm going to confess. I'm an actor, a friend of
- 14:50Speaker 2: a friend of a girlfriend worked on the show and
- 14:53Speaker 2: they needed someone right away. And I guess maybe he
- 14:55Speaker 2: has a little bit of service background, like he can
- 14:57Speaker 2: make a drink or whatever, but he did seem like
- 15:00Speaker 2: he wasn't great at the job. He served them food
- 15:02Speaker 2: when they weren't supposed to have food upstairs and At
- 15:05Speaker 2: one point, Brandy and they all get really drunk and
- 15:08Speaker 2: they take off his shirt and he said, my wife
- 15:10Speaker 2: didn't like that. She didn't like seeing me be manhandled.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I'd never seen the show. I didn't know what I
- 15:16Speaker 2: was walking into. So that was kind of juicy. Let
- 15:22Speaker 2: me see. Oh, so this Colorado girl, she's a young
- 15:26Speaker 2: girl under 30, works for a tech company. And she said, oh,
- 15:31Speaker 2: this is how much I make. This is my salary.
- 15:33Speaker 2: And I was able to get a raise, but this
- 15:36Speaker 2: is how much taxes come out when you get this
- 15:38Speaker 2: kind of a raise, but this is what you make.
- 15:40Speaker 2: And so it got a lot of play because people
- 15:42Speaker 2: were kind of interested in what she made, but also
- 15:46Speaker 2: how much you paid taxes when you're a single woman. Well,
- 15:49Speaker 2: her company didn't like that she was revealing that and
- 15:51Speaker 2: they fired her. And they said, we're just, we don't
- 15:54Speaker 2: like that you have this TikTok account because we're afraid
- 15:56Speaker 2: that you could share more about our company than just
- 15:58Speaker 2: your salary because It's not against the law for someone
- 16:01Speaker 2: to share about their salary. There's like labor laws that
- 16:04Speaker 2: she has that right to share that with anybody. But
- 16:06Speaker 2: I do think, you know, I just think so many
- 16:09Speaker 2: people are just so into sharing every single thing about
- 16:12Speaker 2: their lives. And I think you have to be a
- 16:13Speaker 2: little bit careful. Like there is a Real Housewife producer
- 16:17Speaker 2: that I follow on TikTok and I wrote her and
- 16:19Speaker 2: I go, are these production companies not at all bummed
- 16:22Speaker 2: that you like wake up and you're like, okay, we're
- 16:25Speaker 2: going to go film at this place. I had to
- 16:27Speaker 2: just talk to this bitchy housewife for a minute and
- 16:29Speaker 2: tell her that, you know, she better be there on
- 16:31Speaker 2: time or something. I mean, she's like, no, they don't care.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm like, maybe at this point when it's reality TV,
- 16:38Speaker 2: we want all the press we can get. But in
- 16:40Speaker 2: other ways, like I follow this other woman who's like,
- 16:44Speaker 2: I'm a chef for a rich Hamptons family. And she
- 16:48Speaker 2: really does just show the food that she makes. And
- 16:50Speaker 2: it's kind of interesting, but I'm like, Oh, I wonder
- 16:53Speaker 2: if she cleared that with them because like, Do you
- 16:55Speaker 2: imagine if all of a sudden you're just watching someone
- 16:57Speaker 2: on TikTok? You're like, that's my sister's house. Or I've
- 17:01Speaker 2: seen it with nannies and stuff. Like, hi, I'll tell
- 17:03Speaker 2: you what it's like to be a day in the
- 17:04Speaker 2: life of a nanny for someone really rich on the
- 17:06Speaker 2: Upper East Side. So I made the kids some juice.
- 17:09Speaker 2: And she's like showing, she doesn't show the kids, but
- 17:12Speaker 2: she's like showing everything in the house. And besides you
- 17:14Speaker 2: showing everything in my house, I'd be like, can you
- 17:16Speaker 2: not spend your whole day like filming and doing TikToks?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Like I'm paying you to watch my four-year-old. Anyway, that's
- 17:23Speaker 2: my little tip to you guys. Maybe don't put everything
- 17:25Speaker 2: on TikTok. Bethany, however, does. Bethany of Real Housewives of
- 17:30Speaker 2: New York, she told a story on her TikTok about
- 17:34Speaker 2: how she became the highest paid housewife in the history
- 17:37Speaker 2: of housewives. And she said, you know what? Andy came over.
- 17:40Speaker 2: He's like, the show sucks. The ratings are down. What
- 17:42Speaker 2: do we have to do to get you back on
- 17:44Speaker 2: the show? And I said, you know what? I don't know,
- 17:47Speaker 2: but I don't negotiate. Bring me your best and final offer.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Best and final. And just know it better be high
- 17:54Speaker 2: because I don't need the money. I don't need to
- 17:56Speaker 2: do this. But you know what? If it's give me
- 17:58Speaker 2: an offer, I can't refuse and I'll take it. And
- 18:00Speaker 2: that's how I became the highest paid housewife. So meanwhile,
- 18:05Speaker 2: also Bethany is doing all these posts about beauty products.
- 18:11Speaker 2: And you think she's doing... I think the people at
- 18:13Speaker 2: home think it's like the greatest Christian service that anyone
- 18:17Speaker 2: could ever do. Like, this is not worth this expensive
- 18:21Speaker 2: thing for the department store. And she'll name it out.
- 18:23Speaker 2: She'll be like, this product from blah, blah, blah is
- 18:26Speaker 2: not worth it. This wet and wild lipstick, to die,
- 18:28Speaker 2: to die. Shitballs, bananas, to die. I love it, to die.
- 18:32Speaker 2: And she's doing all these, like, you know, which is cool.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's cool to do. But as someone who knows Bethany,
- 18:39Speaker 2: studies Bethany... People like Bethany don't make TikToks that take
- 18:44Speaker 2: time out of the goodness of their heart. Okay. So
- 18:48Speaker 2: I definitely think, get ready for, I think it's going
- 18:52Speaker 2: to be called Just Be Beauty. Okay. That's what I
- 18:55Speaker 2: think the name's going to be. And I think she's
- 18:56Speaker 2: going to come out with her own beauty line or
- 18:59Speaker 2: be part of a beauty line or something where she's like,
- 19:02Speaker 2: I've tested all the products. I told you what I
- 19:04Speaker 2: like from the expensive to the inexpensive, and I've created
- 19:07Speaker 2: my own line of products. that I love that will evolve.
- 19:10Speaker 2: I'll be introducing new products all the time, but this
- 19:13Speaker 2: is the appropriate price point for the things that spend
- 19:16Speaker 2: a little more on foundation, but you don't need to
- 19:18Speaker 2: spend as much here, you know, that type of thing.
- 19:21Speaker 2: And people will be like, absolutely. You've tested it all.
- 19:23Speaker 2: You know it. We We know this. She's been on
- 19:33Speaker 2: my show a bunch. We've talked about it. Real housewives
- 19:36Speaker 2: and reality stars do not get residuals. But residuals go
- 19:42Speaker 2: down a lot too. So if I did a guest
- 19:44Speaker 2: star on Malcolm in the Middle, I did make money
- 19:47Speaker 2: over the years, but it keeps, it's very little. Now,
- 19:49Speaker 2: if I get a check for that, which was like,
- 19:50Speaker 2: you know, 16 years ago and a guest role, it's like,
- 19:55Speaker 2: I don't know, $ 42. But it is crazy that these
- 19:59Speaker 2: housewives are in all these countries. It's on streaming on Peacock,
- 20:02Speaker 2: but they agreed to it. They, it's a non-union gig.
- 20:05Speaker 2: They don't get health insurance. They agree that we're going
- 20:08Speaker 2: to pay you this much, but that's it. So she
- 20:11Speaker 2: is saying, I don't like that you can use me
- 20:15Speaker 2: in flashbacks like currently. So if there's an episode now
- 20:21Speaker 2: on a season and then they're like, remember at that party?
- 20:24Speaker 2: And then they show Carol or they talk about Carol.
- 20:26Speaker 2: She knows she's not going to get a dime from it.
- 20:29Speaker 2: She's just letting people go, that is kind of shitty. Hey,
- 20:33Speaker 2: there's nothing you can do about it. And you know what?
- 20:36Speaker 2: You don't want to be a NeNe Leakes. That's not
- 20:38Speaker 2: going to help you get back on the show either. Meanwhile,
- 20:41Speaker 2: Ramona is having the time of her life, you guys.
- 20:45Speaker 2: She is wearing this little silver skirt. She's dancing around.
- 20:48Speaker 2: She's like, went to Calvin Harris, going on a yacht
- 20:52Speaker 2: with my girlfriends. She's having the best time of her life.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I don't hate it. I love it. And I thought
- 20:58Speaker 2: about it because I thought, you know, right now Luann
- 21:02Speaker 2: and Sonia are doing this like simple life in this
- 21:05Speaker 2: town of 7,000 people and they're filming it. And I
- 21:10Speaker 2: don't think that was a great day when Ramona found
- 21:13Speaker 2: out that she was not going to be part of
- 21:15Speaker 2: a show with the two women that she started housewives with,
- 21:18Speaker 2: or even actually Sonia came after Ramona. Um, and I,
- 21:23Speaker 2: I love Lou, but if you were to ask me also,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I like to do the impression of Ramona more than
- 21:29Speaker 2: anyone on earth, but I would have thought Ramona and
- 21:31Speaker 2: Sonia together, just the two of them together because they
- 21:35Speaker 2: both drink and, and Lou is sober. Um, I think
- 21:40Speaker 2: they would have been more of a comedic mess and
- 21:44Speaker 2: looking for hot guys. And I don't know, to me,
- 21:48Speaker 2: or all three of them. So I think the fact
- 21:50Speaker 2: that if I was Ramona, I would have been a
- 21:52Speaker 2: little butthurt that I wasn't getting this paycheck, that I
- 21:55Speaker 2: wasn't part of it. And what better way to be like,
- 21:57Speaker 2: you know what? You know what? It's okay. Cause I
- 21:59Speaker 2: have a lot of really rich girlfriends. Okay. I'm the
- 22:01Speaker 2: one with the real gorgeous yacht. We're going to go
- 22:03Speaker 2: to Mykonos. We're going to go to Ibiza and I'm
- 22:06Speaker 2: going to, you know what? I look great. I feel great.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I'm going to dance my ass off. And she is
- 22:10Speaker 2: just having the time of her life. She is partying
- 22:13Speaker 2: till six in the morning. Her legs look great. And
- 22:17Speaker 2: I don't think there's any better thing that she should
- 22:20Speaker 2: have done than tap into her one percenters and get
- 22:22Speaker 2: herself invited. So good for her. Enjoy watching it. It's
- 22:25Speaker 2: like freaking amazing. AI is everywhere, but ROI isn't.
- 22:30Speaker 1: At PWC, we turn AI into advantage so you can
- 22:34Speaker 1: see results, not hype.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 22:45Speaker 3: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 22:48Speaker 3: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 22:53Speaker 3: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I'm heading to the Emmys, and I have police complaints
- 23:01Speaker 1: filed against me. When your free will was about to
- 23:03Speaker 1: be taken from you, what would you do if it
- 23:05Speaker 1: was given back?
- 23:06Speaker 3: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 23:09Speaker 3: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 23:12Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 23:13Speaker 3: I need a home dad.
- 23:14Speaker 2: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 23:21Speaker 3: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 23:24Speaker 3: happens next.
- 23:25Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 23:27Speaker 2: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 23:31Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 23:34Speaker 3: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 23:48Speaker 2: So, um, oh, uh, I interviewed this, uh, girl many
- 23:54Speaker 2: years ago and it's Chuck Lorre's wife and her name
- 23:58Speaker 2: is Arielle Lorre. And I enjoyed having her on my show.
- 24:02Speaker 2: She has her own social media and her own podcast
- 24:06Speaker 2: and everything. Anyway, I was always kind of fascinated about
- 24:10Speaker 2: the age difference between she and her husband. Besides Chuck,
- 24:13Speaker 2: Chuck Lorre is huge in the sitcom world. extremely wealthy,
- 24:19Speaker 2: but all of his shows are huge, huge hits. Two
- 24:23Speaker 2: and a half men, big bang theory, mom, all this stuff.
- 24:28Speaker 2: They met, fell in love, 33 year age difference. She's 36.
- 24:32Speaker 2: He's 69. They announced that they are getting divorced and
- 24:38Speaker 2: she will get spousal support. And then she had a
- 24:41Speaker 2: prenup and I'm sure she's well taken care of. And
- 24:43Speaker 2: she has her own career as well, which is nice.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And they asked for privacy and I'm not giving it.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Cause I just found it interesting. Neither did people. Okay.
- 24:53Speaker 2: People magazine didn't expect privacy either. Um, but one person
- 24:57Speaker 2: wrote in the comment, not all divorces are sad. And
- 25:01Speaker 2: I thought, yeah, you're right. Like I, I, she's like,
- 25:07Speaker 2: like a health nut and stuff. And she's only 36.
- 25:10Speaker 2: And when she came on my show, she's like, no,
- 25:12Speaker 2: I don't want kids. And I'm not saying that she
- 25:14Speaker 2: will have kids, but By ending this marriage after just
- 25:18Speaker 2: a couple years and still being a young girl, you know,
- 25:22Speaker 2: you have a whole nother life to do what you
- 25:26Speaker 2: want to do. And it sounds like she's smart and
- 25:30Speaker 2: she's going to be well taken care of and it's
- 25:32Speaker 2: not ugly and they're both good with it. But, you know,
- 25:36Speaker 2: you know how I feel about these extreme age difference.
- 25:39Speaker 2: 33 years is a lot. So anyway, I think she'll
- 25:42Speaker 2: be just fine. Oh. this is a little update of
- 25:46Speaker 2: an asshole. Remember when Shannon Mochler was with that awful guy,
- 25:51Speaker 2: Matthew Rondo? Oh my God. And he was like filming her. Shannon,
- 25:57Speaker 2: Shana Mochler is Travis Barker's ex-wife. And anyway, she thought
- 26:04Speaker 2: she was pregnant. Then she's like, I'm not pregnant, but
- 26:07Speaker 2: this guy's an asshole. But then they got back together. Well,
- 26:11Speaker 2: according to TMZ and legal docs, the LA City Attorney
- 26:15Speaker 2: did charge him with misdemeanor, domestic violence, and battery and
- 26:19Speaker 2: vandalism for that horrible incident that happened right when she
- 26:22Speaker 2: got back from Big Brother. And so even if you
- 26:27Speaker 2: end up being back with this awful guy, it doesn't matter.
- 26:30Speaker 2: It's up to the DA whether they want to go
- 26:34Speaker 2: forward with charges or not, and they did. So hopefully,
- 26:37Speaker 2: I mean, I think they're still together, but... Now it's just,
- 26:41Speaker 2: it's just so, I feel so badly for women that
- 26:44Speaker 2: then are with this awful person and then they take
- 26:46Speaker 2: them back and now they're being charged with it. And
- 26:49Speaker 2: I'm sure they're like blaming them. I'm sure, I'm sure
- 26:52Speaker 2: he's like such a dick. He's probably blaming her for this, um, arrest.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Oh my God. Julia, what the hell's her name? Julia
- 27:01Speaker 2: Fox wore the most horrific outfit. She wore a bathing
- 27:05Speaker 2: suit top turned upside down. That wasn't the bad part.
- 27:08Speaker 2: And then these weird pants. that were so, so low
- 27:12Speaker 2: in the pelvic area that you could see the razor
- 27:16Speaker 2: burn from where she had to shave the top of
- 27:18Speaker 2: her pubes. I mean, literally like the line of the
- 27:22Speaker 2: vagina was almost being seen like the top. It was
- 27:26Speaker 2: so gross. I mean, she's very thin. So it's like,
- 27:29Speaker 2: you're seeing like all the pelvic bones. It is awful. Um,
- 27:34Speaker 2: if she ever wanted to act again, she's not going to.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I think she thought me showing up in these weird
- 27:40Speaker 2: fucking outfits will keep Juicy Scoop talking about me. Well,
- 27:42Speaker 2: it did to an extent, but no one's going to
- 27:44Speaker 2: cast you in anything, you weirdo desperate thing. Oh, I
- 27:48Speaker 2: want to talk about one more thing. I am not
- 27:50Speaker 2: at all endorsing this, but people are talking about it.
- 27:54Speaker 2: So I thought I might. A lot of people are
- 27:58Speaker 2: wondering what are the Kardashians using where they had such
- 28:02Speaker 2: rapid weight loss and dropped it so quick and their
- 28:05Speaker 2: bodies completely transformed. What is it? And a lot of
- 28:10Speaker 2: people are talking about this and it's called Ozempic. And
- 28:16Speaker 2: it is an injectable medication. They're claiming it's safe and
- 28:20Speaker 2: effective for long-term weight loss. It is for, it's a diet.
- 28:24Speaker 2: It was originally a diabetes drug, but it's a once
- 28:28Speaker 2: a week injectable. And I just think you guys should
- 28:30Speaker 2: know that's what's going on. That's what people are doing.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And I, I don't know that it's good or bad.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I'm not doing it, but People are talking about it,
- 28:40Speaker 2: so I think you should be made aware. Check it out.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Or don't. Or don't. Just know that when you see
- 28:46Speaker 2: someone get that freaking skinny, it's not because they were
- 28:49Speaker 2: doing squats and holding off on the carbs. But hey,
- 28:55Speaker 2: it's okay. It can be all that. Okay, you guys.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Now for some real juicy crimes and some updates with
- 29:02Speaker 2: my sister, Shannon. I want to talk about Athletic Greens.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I'm really loving it. I've been taking it for about
- 29:09Speaker 2: three weeks now, and I am enjoying it. I thought
- 29:13Speaker 2: it was going to be super healthy tasting. No, this
- 29:16Speaker 2: one little scoop gives me– it's got a great tropical flavor,
- 29:20Speaker 2: and by doing it, I am getting– over 75 high
- 29:25Speaker 2: quality vitamins, minerals, whole foods, sourced ingredients, probiotics, and adaptogens.
- 29:30Speaker 2: And what I really love is because I really didn't
- 29:33Speaker 2: like taking vitamins. It was really hard for me. I
- 29:36Speaker 2: blew it off certain days. I'm kind of really getting
- 29:39Speaker 2: into this and I'm having it every single day. And
- 29:41Speaker 2: what I love is it actually is less than $ 3
- 29:43Speaker 2: a day. And it's so much better for you than
- 29:46Speaker 2: maybe the $ 5, think about it, latte that you're getting
- 29:49Speaker 2: every day. This is really good for you. And it's
- 29:53Speaker 2: really about gut health. And it's just a small micro

- 30:27Speaker 2: daily nutritional insurance. Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well,
- 30:33Speaker 2: as promised, my sister, Shannon McDonald Goldstein, attorney at law,
- 30:38Speaker 2: criminal defense attorney, happened to be visiting this weekend, so
- 30:41Speaker 2: we get to have her one more time. We're going
- 30:42Speaker 2: to do some updates and some other juicy crimes that
- 30:45Speaker 2: have happened. So, Shannon, welcome back. Thanks, Heather. It's really
- 30:50Speaker 2: good to be back. Okay, we have another... Murder on
- 30:54Speaker 2: a honeymoon, you guys. American man is accused of murdering
- 30:57Speaker 2: his wife while on their honeymoon in Fiji. Tell us
- 31:00Speaker 2: about this, Shannon.
- 31:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 31:02Speaker 2: So this is actually, I did a little bit of
- 31:04Speaker 2: a deeper dive because there really wasn't anything on this.
- 31:07Speaker 2: But this couple, they get married in February and they're
- 31:09Speaker 2: planning this fabulous vacation. She's 36, he's 38. Unfortunately, about
- 31:16Speaker 2: three to four days in and they're at this resort
- 31:18Speaker 2: where literally only like 14 couples are there. So it's
- 31:21Speaker 2: like an own private island. So it's very exclusive and
- 31:25Speaker 2: they find her body bludgeoned, beaten in the bathroom of
- 31:30Speaker 2: the resort. of the room, but they don't find it.
- 31:33Speaker 2: It's like the next day of the hotel, of the hotel.
- 31:36Speaker 2: So they immediately start looking for the husband because he's
- 31:38Speaker 2: not around. You got to figure there's only, your suspect
- 31:41Speaker 2: pool has gone down significantly. You're only at about 15 people, right?
- 31:44Speaker 2: If you don't look, if everybody else has been accounted for.
- 31:47Speaker 2: So what I found out is apparently, um, allegedly he
- 31:51Speaker 2: was found a day or two, maybe a day or
- 31:54Speaker 2: two later, but he was actually, um, kayaking or paddling
- 32:00Speaker 2: at two or three in the morning to the other island.
- 32:03Speaker 2: It was like two kilometers away. Yes, I found this.
- 32:06Speaker 2: And he was bloody on his hands and he was
- 32:08Speaker 2: bloody and bruised. He's still bloody even though he's paddling
- 32:12Speaker 2: and water's getting splashed? Well, they think that he was bruised. Well,
- 32:15Speaker 2: it was bruised and bloody. And they think that maybe
- 32:18Speaker 2: one of the witnesses said that because maybe he got
- 32:19Speaker 2: stuck in those coral patches that you get in Fiji.
- 32:22Speaker 2: So maybe not that. But supposedly, he got to the
- 32:26Speaker 2: island by a kayak somehow in the morning. So that's
- 32:30Speaker 2: not good. Then they start talking about now that it
- 32:33Speaker 2: was kind of a whirlwind romance. Now we're talking about
- 32:36Speaker 2: the family. So she is of Asian descent. And she
- 32:39Speaker 2: was a pastry chef that then became a pharmacist. He
- 32:43Speaker 2: actually works in charity work for a place called Youth Village.
- 32:47Speaker 2: They say that when they got married, suddenly half the
- 32:50Speaker 2: people at the wedding had met him for the first time.
- 32:53Speaker 2: So we don't really know where he kind of came from.
- 32:55Speaker 2: So they were a little like, what's going on with that?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Like is he a dirty John or something?
- 32:59Speaker 3: Something.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Like love bombed her and kept her a little isolated
- 33:03Speaker 2: from her friends in order for them not to investigate him.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You think about that. Now it's kind of like, hmm,
- 33:09Speaker 2: what was this? But I think, and I think... they're right.
- 33:13Speaker 2: You know, there's a picture of them very happy at
- 33:15Speaker 2: their wedding and then we're married for six months and
- 33:17Speaker 2: there was no, Oh, they were married for six months
- 33:20Speaker 2: and then they just now went on the honeymoon. Right.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Cause of COVID and everything. Probably COVID maybe because they
- 33:25Speaker 2: were trying to, you know, figure out how to afford
- 33:28Speaker 2: this vacation. I mean, if you work for a charity, I'm,
- 33:31Speaker 2: I can't imagine this was an easy honeymoon to plan. Right.
- 33:35Speaker 2: And she wanted to be married to him forever. They
- 33:37Speaker 2: say she really wanted babies. So I don't know if
- 33:39Speaker 2: this was an argument about, you know, children or, I
- 33:42Speaker 2: don't really know what happened. Obviously, he's denying everything, and
- 33:46Speaker 2: they're trying to get him bailed out. He has to
- 33:48Speaker 2: go back to Fiji and the main island on the 27th,
- 33:52Speaker 2: but he's not going to bail out because he has
- 33:54Speaker 2: no contacts or no reason to stay. Okay, so Shannon,
- 33:57Speaker 2: you got this. This is your client. Oh, my God.
- 34:01Speaker 2: What's the story? What is the defense? I mean, I
- 34:06Speaker 2: would think if I was on your team of lawyers,
- 34:09Speaker 2: I would say, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 34:12Speaker 2: You can't tell him what to do. No, but you're
- 34:14Speaker 2: going to tell me what your defense is. I'm not me.
- 34:16Speaker 2: I'm not going to tell you what my defense is. No,
- 34:18Speaker 2: you be the attorney, but I'm going to be what
- 34:19Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you as the husband. As the husband. Okay. Well,
- 34:25Speaker 2: you're right. You know, people are right. We did get
- 34:29Speaker 2: in an argument because, you know, she was flirting with
- 34:37Speaker 2: this workman throughout the whole time that we were there.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I don't know his name. Juan or something. Um, you know,
- 34:43Speaker 2: he's bartender, whatever. Just, it was different guys the whole time.
- 34:48Speaker 2: I know there was only 15 people there, but she
- 34:50Speaker 2: was flirting with all these guys. And I just said,
- 34:53Speaker 2: you know what? I don't even know why I'm here. Just,
- 34:57Speaker 2: why don't you just get with a bartender? And I
- 35:00Speaker 2: just hopped in this kayak and I was so pissed
- 35:04Speaker 2: about how, you know, she was disrespecting me. Maybe this
- 35:07Speaker 2: marriage wasn't right. And I paddle, paddle, paddle. And then
- 35:10Speaker 2: I saw that I had gone so far from this
- 35:12Speaker 2: Island that I'm like, I better not turn around and
- 35:15Speaker 2: go back to this Island where I have a hotel
- 35:17Speaker 2: room that I paid for. Let me go to this
- 35:19Speaker 2: other Island and just, and then I'll get on the phone.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I'll call her and we'll make up. So when I
- 35:24Speaker 2: got there, you can imagine my surprise when the authorities
- 35:28Speaker 2: found me there and told me that my wife had
- 35:29Speaker 2: been bludgeoned to death. Well, cause I didn't do it obviously.
- 35:35Speaker 2: And my, my hands are marked up. These aren't nail scratches.
- 35:37Speaker 2: They're the coral reef scratches. Um, From not being that
- 35:41Speaker 2: experienced of a kayaker, but just really wanting to get my,
- 35:45Speaker 2: not my steps in, but my strokes in of a Fitbit. Well,
- 35:49Speaker 2: I certainly can understand this story, especially if the next
- 35:54Speaker 2: day you maybe reached out and couldn't find your wife
- 35:57Speaker 2: on this island, but they didn't arrest you until two
- 36:00Speaker 2: days later. Were you ever planning on coming back to
- 36:03Speaker 2: see if she was okay? Or were you really done
- 36:05Speaker 2: with the marriage? She said, get the hell out. When
- 36:07Speaker 2: we were fighting, she said, get the hell out. So
- 36:09Speaker 2: I left. I mean, I would never want this. Like,
- 36:13Speaker 2: why would I want her dead? She makes incredible pastries
- 36:16Speaker 2: and she can get me like a Z-pack anytime I
- 36:20Speaker 2: need it from the pharmacy. So like, obviously it benefits
- 36:23Speaker 2: me nothing. except the life insurance policy, but every couple
- 36:28Speaker 2: has that. So no, there's no benefit in this happening.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I mean, I'm devastated. So where were you when they
- 36:35Speaker 2: arrested you? I was just sitting at this little bar
- 36:39Speaker 2: and having a Mai Tai because I just thought we
- 36:41Speaker 2: were just having a fight for two days though. How
- 36:45Speaker 2: long was your honeymoon for? How long was it for?
- 36:49Speaker 2: Did you look it up?
- 36:50Speaker 1: No.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Probably a week. Probably 10 days.
- 36:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 36:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 36:53Speaker 2: So what was the plan? Before you were arrested, what
- 36:55Speaker 2: was the plan? After you finished the Mai Tai, kind
- 36:57Speaker 2: of tell me what the plan was. The plan was
- 36:59Speaker 2: let her get some steam off. She wasn't calling me back,
- 37:03Speaker 2: as you can see. I called her. I left her
- 37:05Speaker 2: very sweet voicemail messages. Babe, let's work this out. Babe,
- 37:10Speaker 2: sorry I got so heated. I'm just such, you know,
- 37:13Speaker 2: I don't know why you're flirting with all these weird people.
- 37:16Speaker 2: Local guys whose names I don't know or faces I
- 37:19Speaker 2: can't recognize. But stay away from them because, you know,
- 37:23Speaker 2: they could get weird. And I love you. Let's work
- 37:27Speaker 2: it out. So there's like tons of those messages. Some
- 37:30Speaker 2: of them I even did from the boat. From the kayak. Oh,
- 37:33Speaker 2: from the kayak. Okay. Yeah. So, um, so I'm assuming
- 37:35Speaker 2: the police have taken your phone, correct?
- 37:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Okay. And, um, and it's not going to be concerning
- 37:40Speaker 2: at all to them. No, cause I deleted everything.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 2: You deleted everything. Oh, all the messages you said just
- 37:46Speaker 2: because you were. No, the messages are on her phone.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I left those voicemail messages, but all the texts and stuff,
- 37:51Speaker 2: I just, I just deleted just cause I thought, you know,
- 37:55Speaker 2: we were saying mean stuff to each other. So I
- 37:57Speaker 2: just deleted that. Like, I don't need to look at
- 37:59Speaker 2: that and be reminded that we were fighting. So that's gone.
- 38:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Well, this is good. And then my Snapchat and all that, that,
- 38:05Speaker 2: you know, that always disappears anyway.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Okay.
- 38:07Speaker 2: And I got rid of my Instagram and DMs too.
- 38:10Speaker 2: So when you were fighting, you definitely left the phone there.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Her phone was just sitting there, correct? Yeah, I guess.
- 38:19Speaker 2: You know, I left. When I left, she was, you know, alive, obviously. Okay.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And where was she? Was she in the- Just in
- 38:26Speaker 2: the living room, just like yelling at me. So then
- 38:29Speaker 2: I was like, hey, I'm getting out of here.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:31Speaker 2: Yeah. And about what time did you leave? And then
- 38:32Speaker 2: she said she was good. She's like, good, I'm glad
- 38:34Speaker 2: you're leaving because I'm going to go walk around and
- 38:36Speaker 2: have a drink with some of these strange people I've
- 38:38Speaker 2: been flirting with. And I'm like, you go do it.
- 38:41Speaker 2: And I'm so mad at myself that I let her
- 38:43Speaker 2: do that. Just, oh, how could I? Yeah. Okay. Well, good.
- 38:49Speaker 2: I mean, I think we're going to see, I think
- 38:52Speaker 2: we have a solid case. And once they do the
- 38:54Speaker 2: investigation and they, you know, take, um, you know, they
- 38:58Speaker 2: determine where the, the blood splatter evidence is and, um,
- 39:03Speaker 2: you know, kind of around the house. And, um, so
- 39:06Speaker 2: what were you, were you staying at a, a department
- 39:12Speaker 2: or a condo or anything over on that other Island? Well,
- 39:16Speaker 2: I had done the dumb mistake of like not leaving
- 39:18Speaker 2: with a lot of money. So I just was just
- 39:20Speaker 2: sleeping in the sand. Is that where you met that
- 39:23Speaker 2: friend that saw that you were kind of like your
- 39:27Speaker 2: hands were all sort of beaten and torn up? Oh,
- 39:30Speaker 2: that guy that's talking to local police that I met
- 39:32Speaker 2: at the bar? Yeah. Yeah. I thought he was cool. Whatever. Yeah. Well, no,
- 39:37Speaker 2: I mean, he said that that's what you said. He
- 39:39Speaker 2: said that usually inexperienced kayakers have that problem with the coral.
- 39:43Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Well, we'll talk to him, too, because he sounds like
- 39:46Speaker 2: a really good witness. Okay. Okay. Great. Now, Shannon, you've
- 39:51Speaker 2: been given this case, and I am your client. Mm-hmm.
- 39:58Speaker 2: What angle are you going to take? Okay. So first
- 40:04Speaker 2: of all, I'm going to call my client down and
- 40:06Speaker 2: I'm going to be... And I'm absolutely... We'll not discuss
- 40:08Speaker 2: the case with him at all. I do not want
- 40:11Speaker 2: to hear his story. Not yet. Not at all.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 40:13Speaker 2: So you're bummed that I told you everything. Yeah. I
- 40:15Speaker 2: kind of... I am kind of bummed. But it's okay because...
- 40:18Speaker 2: You have, I, right now I'm just going to, you know,
- 40:21Speaker 2: proclaim your innocence and we'll get to that point and stuff.
- 40:24Speaker 2: And we're going to probably have to talk about it.
- 40:26Speaker 2: But right now we just, I want to calm him down.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I want to figure out bail. I want to talk
- 40:30Speaker 2: to his family. I want to find out a little
- 40:32Speaker 2: bit more about her. I want to find out if
- 40:35Speaker 2: there were, you know, what were your days like? Who
- 40:38Speaker 2: did you befriend? I'll talk to that other potential witness.
- 40:43Speaker 2: So I definitely have my own investigation going on. And
- 40:46Speaker 2: just kind of, other than just saying, it's... When do
- 40:51Speaker 2: you go to him? Would you only go to him
- 40:55Speaker 2: if they had some really solid stuff? Like DNA and...
- 40:59Speaker 2: Would you go to who? Like, would you go to
- 41:02Speaker 2: your client and tell them, I think you better plea.
- 41:06Speaker 2: What if they said we have a bloody... Handprint on
- 41:10Speaker 2: the wall. That's his handprint. That's pretty inexcusable that he
- 41:17Speaker 2: was there while she was bleeding and chose to let
- 41:22Speaker 2: her die and leave. But there's, but there's so many,
- 41:25Speaker 2: I like your story. I totally love your story. Just
- 41:27Speaker 2: for example. And actually it was not a story that
- 41:30Speaker 2: I was actually thinking. So I was actually thinking a
- 41:32Speaker 2: different story, a different defense. What was your defense? I
- 41:36Speaker 2: was thinking that they did have a fight, which would
- 41:39Speaker 2: explain her blood and potentially his blood. Oh, like it
- 41:44Speaker 2: did get physical. It did get physical.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Like it did definitely get physical, but he said, you know,
- 41:49Speaker 2: and he kind of, freaked out and got upset. Um,
- 41:53Speaker 2: I also think that there might've been a situation where
- 41:56Speaker 2: she sort of feigned it all by basically kind of
- 41:59Speaker 2: starting herself. She could have been hurting herself. He could
- 42:02Speaker 2: have come in and seen her, tried to stop, grabbed her, uh,
- 42:06Speaker 2: and then realized that she was already dying. You know,
- 42:09Speaker 2: I don't know what beaten to death means. So I'd
- 42:10Speaker 2: have to look at that. It could be just like
- 42:12Speaker 2: she slit her wrist. It could be a lot of
- 42:13Speaker 2: different things. But then he would have had the blood
- 42:16Speaker 2: on her already. So that could have, depending on what
- 42:18Speaker 2: the forensic evidence shows, that's another thing we'd have to
- 42:20Speaker 2: kind of, you know, evaluate. Why wouldn't he tell anybody?
- 42:23Speaker 2: Why would he get in the kayak? Well, because he's
- 42:24Speaker 2: freaked out. He's like, oh my God, oh my God,
- 42:26Speaker 2: what's going to happen now? I need to get into
- 42:27Speaker 2: the kayak. I do have a real big issue with
- 42:30Speaker 2: the fact that if he left at two or three
- 42:32Speaker 2: in the morning and nobody, you know, they find him
- 42:35Speaker 2: not the next morning on the island, but two days later,
- 42:38Speaker 2: that's going to be tougher. To say, what were you
- 42:41Speaker 2: doing for two days? And also, kayaking at night. And also,
- 42:46Speaker 2: did he just steal the kayak or did he rent
- 42:49Speaker 2: it out? Obviously, that's a problem. So that's going to
- 42:51Speaker 2: be another crime. That's going to be another, yeah. And
- 42:54Speaker 2: we got to see what's in the kayak and where
- 42:55Speaker 2: the kayak is. And if the story is just bullshit,
- 42:59Speaker 2: but it's... read really good for today's podcast. So, I mean,
- 43:02Speaker 2: because it makes it very interesting. But when you look
- 43:04Speaker 2: at the story, no, it doesn't look good. But there's
- 43:07Speaker 2: all these kinds of areas that you could go into. Now,
- 43:10Speaker 2: if it's not a lot there, and you might just say, look,
- 43:14Speaker 2: it just went really, really, really bad. Then you can
- 43:15Speaker 2: at least not do a murder two or a murder one.
- 43:18Speaker 2: You can do a voluntary manslaughter. Crime of passion. Which
- 43:21Speaker 2: is going to lower the potential time. I have no
- 43:23Speaker 2: idea how Fiji even handles this. Right. Because- But you
- 43:26Speaker 2: have to kind of wonder. He has to stay in Fiji,
- 43:29Speaker 2: but then Fiji... He has to stay in Fiji. Okay. Basically,
- 43:34Speaker 2: when you're a US citizen and you go overseas, right now,
- 43:37Speaker 2: they really basically have to handle this case because this
- 43:39Speaker 2: is where the crime... Fiji does.
- 43:40Speaker 3: Yes.
- 43:41Speaker 2: This is where the crime happened. Now, I think it's
- 43:43Speaker 2: better than maybe happening in China or something, but they're
- 43:45Speaker 2: going to take it very seriously. I kind of wonder,
- 43:48Speaker 2: it's really the timing element for me is what I'm
- 43:52Speaker 2: concerned about. Because you have 14 supposed couples. So did
- 43:56Speaker 2: they wait 24 hours before they found the body? Because
- 43:59Speaker 2: how long was the body post-mortem? It was the housekeeper
- 44:03Speaker 2: that found her. Okay, it was. So then you would
- 44:06Speaker 2: think that that would have happened the next day. So
- 44:10Speaker 2: then you're trying to find him. But also, you know,
- 44:12Speaker 2: so many hotels I go to now, they're like, sorry,
- 44:15Speaker 2: because of COVID, we don't have housekeeping. So unless you
- 44:17Speaker 2: really want it, you have to call down and ask
- 44:19Speaker 2: for it. And usually when I'm on the road, I'm like,
- 44:21Speaker 2: Just send me some more towels and some ice. Like,
- 44:23Speaker 2: I don't need you coming in. It's fine. And they
- 44:27Speaker 2: could have been that couple that said, I don't need...
- 44:29Speaker 2: But I mean, at a fancy resort, I kind of
- 44:30Speaker 2: doubt it. I would think that it's still once a
- 44:31Speaker 2: day because it's like resort-y. But also just like what
- 44:35Speaker 2: that famous story that happened in Cancun where the producer
- 44:38Speaker 2: of Survivor did get convicted for killing his wife and
- 44:42Speaker 2: they found her body in like a manhole thing on
- 44:45Speaker 2: the resort. The defense could be... that the prosecutor of
- 44:54Speaker 2: these countries, they definitely want it to be the husband.
- 44:57Speaker 2: They don't want it to be some random worker.
- 44:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Because we need all the Americans to come and, you know,
- 45:04Speaker 2: tourism is our biggest commodity or whatever. And they make
- 45:07Speaker 2: a big deal about it. We want everyone to know
- 45:09Speaker 2: that this is safe, safe, safe, safe, safe. We know
- 45:11Speaker 2: it's the husband and we know it was intentional. Right.
- 45:13Speaker 2: He's not going to go after anybody else. But that's
- 45:15Speaker 2: always a good defense too, is to say like, you
- 45:17Speaker 2: guys are so quick to make it the husband, you know,
- 45:20Speaker 2: and that in that Cancun case, there were sketchy stories
- 45:26Speaker 2: of people at this resort and walking in and there
- 45:28Speaker 2: being like a workman in their room and strange things
- 45:31Speaker 2: that had happened, but there was enough evidence. I do
- 45:34Speaker 2: think they got the right person in that particular case.
- 45:38Speaker 2: If you guys want to look it up, it's survivor
- 45:41Speaker 2: producer just google survivor producer and cancun and i i
- 45:46Speaker 2: i think he's still there doing the time but he
- 45:48Speaker 2: still proclaims his innocence and everything but it's yeah so
- 45:51Speaker 2: we'll see where this goes but it's very sad obviously
- 45:54Speaker 2: very sad for the victim and her friends and family
- 45:56Speaker 2: but maybe they got this is weird because he doesn't
- 45:58Speaker 2: want the children you know you don't know where this
- 46:01Speaker 2: fight could have led to like what you know what
- 46:03Speaker 2: the fight was about yeah maybe it was about the
- 46:04Speaker 2: child maybe it was about the flirting maybe it was
- 46:07Speaker 2: maybe it was somebody that was wait why do you
- 46:09Speaker 2: keep bringing up children Because she said she wanted to
- 46:11Speaker 2: be married to this guy forever and have babies. That's
- 46:14Speaker 2: what some of the family said because they didn't really
- 46:16Speaker 2: know him that well. And she's 36. He's 38. It
- 46:20Speaker 2: was a whirlwind romance. How did they meet? And so
- 46:22Speaker 2: you're thinking maybe he was like, I don't want to.
- 46:25Speaker 2: It just, maybe the last six months wasn't what he
- 46:27Speaker 2: banked on. I mean, but you would, again, you would
- 46:30Speaker 2: think if he really did this. Do we know what
- 46:31Speaker 2: he did for a living?
- 46:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 2: He worked for a charity, Village Youth.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Oh.
- 46:35Speaker 2: So he's like this, yeah. Sounds a little shady. A little, yeah.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Then you kind of wonder about that. And then you're like,
- 46:40Speaker 2: but then if it was really something that he intended,
- 46:43Speaker 2: couldn't he have done a better job cleaning up the
- 46:45Speaker 2: body that's in the bathroom? I read something about like
- 46:47Speaker 2: a dirty John type and saying you work for a
- 46:50Speaker 2: charity is a very easy thing to fake. Right. A job.
- 46:53Speaker 2: I definitely think there's... Because you can leave every day
- 46:56Speaker 2: and you can go to a coffee shop and whatever.
- 46:58Speaker 2: So we'll see. Something is definitely not right. This does
- 47:01Speaker 2: not look good for him. Okay. This was Juicy and
- 47:04Speaker 2: you have some info on it. We all remember the
- 47:08Speaker 2: Juicy GoFundMe story where there was this couple who did
- 47:16Speaker 2: like a video and said, oh my God, I was
- 47:18Speaker 2: getting gas and I had no money and I needed gas.
- 47:21Speaker 2: And a homeless guy who turns out to be a
- 47:24Speaker 2: former vet or is a vet, a former Marine, gave
- 47:27Speaker 2: me his last $ 10. Let's do something for him, you guys.
- 47:32Speaker 2: And she started to go fund me and he got
- 47:36Speaker 2: over $ 400, 000. And then it gets revealed that they were
- 47:41Speaker 2: all in cahoots. So explain a little bit of how
- 47:43Speaker 2: they got caught and what is going on because she's
- 47:46Speaker 2: in a lot of trouble, the girl. So this happened
- 47:48Speaker 2: in 2017. And it played out exactly like the way
- 47:53Speaker 2: you said it. But obviously they were in cahoots. I
- 47:55Speaker 2: think he was definitely homeless, but it wasn't so much like, oh,
- 47:59Speaker 2: I ran out of gas and he paid me $ 20.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It was more like, hey, you scratch my back, I
- 48:04Speaker 2: could scratch yours and we could help each other out.
- 48:06Speaker 2: Didn't they meet him somewhere and plan it out? Correct.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Okay.
- 48:10Speaker 2: So they met him somewhere and thought of this whole
- 48:12Speaker 2: elaborate plan, which I find really So juicy and fascinating because,
- 48:18Speaker 2: you know, you see these things where things go viral
- 48:22Speaker 2: and it's like, what came first, the chicken or the egg,
- 48:26Speaker 2: and then how you can get things from it. And, um,
- 48:29Speaker 2: there was actually a movie coming out where a girl
- 48:33Speaker 2: does a fake, um, tries to pretend that she's a
- 48:36Speaker 2: fake influencer flying all around Paris, which we've seen happens
- 48:39Speaker 2: where people put like private shit, they Photoshop stuff. And
- 48:43Speaker 2: so she figures out a way to Photoshop that she's
- 48:45Speaker 2: in Paris. And then there's a terrorist attack in Paris.
- 48:49Speaker 2: And they're like, oh my God, our favorite influencer. Let's
- 48:52Speaker 2: talk to her. And she starts to say, oh, it was,
- 48:55Speaker 2: I can't believe I made it out alive. And now
- 48:57Speaker 2: she's in this huge lie. Yeah, she's lie after lie
- 49:00Speaker 2: after lie. And now she has to dig herself out.
- 49:02Speaker 2: And you're getting this fame and you're getting, and you know,
- 49:04Speaker 2: as such a, like that's a scripted story, but so juicy.
- 49:09Speaker 2: And this is kind of one of those things where
- 49:10Speaker 2: they probably saw, saw, stuff like this happening, realized how
- 49:13Speaker 2: people love a story like this, that, oh my God,
- 49:17Speaker 2: even though this guy was down and out. he still
- 49:20Speaker 2: had the heart to give this girl $ 10. And then
- 49:23Speaker 2: this couple's so great to help him. But then where
- 49:27Speaker 2: it gets weird, what I remember, is first we heard
- 49:29Speaker 2: that then he came forward and was like, they took
- 49:33Speaker 2: all my money. So here's what happened. Okay. So they
- 49:35Speaker 2: end up getting about $ 400, 000 from GoFundMe. And they're probably
- 49:39Speaker 2: not thinking it's the worst thing in the world because
- 49:40Speaker 2: everyone gives about $ 100, like speaking about the Genshaw, like
- 49:43Speaker 2: I'm not hurting one person all that much. They get
- 49:46Speaker 2: about 360, you know, after fees. They give him like $ 75, 000.
- 49:48Speaker 2: But whether that was agreed to or not, who knows?
- 49:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 2: So they think $ 75, 000, he'll be great. Well, you know,
- 49:58Speaker 2: he probably blows it on alcohol or drugs and he
- 50:00Speaker 2: doesn't really change his life. And now he's mad. So
- 50:03Speaker 2: he goes after them and sues them. And that's when
- 50:07Speaker 2: they got a hold of this. Because in the meantime,
- 50:10Speaker 2: they're buying Louis Vuitton purses. The couple is. She is, yeah.
- 50:13Speaker 2: They're taking the Las Vegas trip. They're gambling to, you know,
- 50:16Speaker 2: succeed on the money. I mean, I think this whole
- 50:18Speaker 2: thing started because they sort of found each other and
- 50:21Speaker 2: realized that they were all kind of financially in trouble.
- 50:23Speaker 2: And maybe they could all benefit each other. And I
- 50:25Speaker 2: think this couple thought this guy will go away for
- 50:28Speaker 2: 75 grand and he didn't. And then it all really
- 50:30Speaker 2: blew up. Right. I mean, I also love that. It's just,
- 50:33Speaker 2: it's just the, the decade of the hoaxes. Oh God.
- 50:37Speaker 2: I mean, between, you know, the Petaluma mom who, you know,
- 50:43Speaker 2: tried to say that her kids were being followed by
- 50:45Speaker 2: a couple that wanted to kidnap them. And it was
- 50:49Speaker 2: for her to gain followers basically and get attention and,
- 50:53Speaker 2: She wasn't worried about that. The couple was like, what? Us?
- 50:56Speaker 2: That story. You know that one. Of course, my other
- 51:00Speaker 2: favorite one, the girl that faked her own kidnapping to
- 51:03Speaker 2: be with her high school boyfriend. Where was she from?
- 51:06Speaker 2: That was up in Northern California, too. Yeah, a lot
- 51:09Speaker 2: of California weirdos. Well, I think it's more about attention, too.
- 51:12Speaker 2: It's about wanting the attention and what it gains and
- 51:15Speaker 2: what it gets. Also, so many people just doing... like
- 51:20Speaker 2: a Tik TOK after something traumatic happens, there's actually a
- 51:24Speaker 2: funny trend, um, on Tik TOK right now, a parody.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I don't know if you've seen this, Annie, where people
- 51:31Speaker 2: are saying like, oh my gosh, I was with my
- 51:33Speaker 2: daughter and she's, um, 163 months old. And my other
- 51:39Speaker 2: son is 93 months old. Like they're all the kids.
- 51:41Speaker 2: And I was at target and my God, you guys,
- 51:44Speaker 2: this guy, glanced at my children twice. I am shaking.
- 51:49Speaker 2: I am shaking. Like everyone acting like their kids are
- 51:51Speaker 2: about to be stolen from target and like, watch your
- 51:53Speaker 2: kids and like be, be a warrior mama. Like it's,
- 51:58Speaker 2: you know, but it's, it all comes from that of
- 52:00Speaker 2: just like these, just people having to, Tell their story
- 52:03Speaker 2: every time something happens to them. And then it's like...
- 52:06Speaker 2: But it's also kind of sad because there's younger kids
- 52:09Speaker 2: that actually do get kidnapped even from stores like this. No,
- 52:11Speaker 2: it does happen. But it's like... So it's like... But
- 52:14Speaker 2: I mean, I get the... Everyone thinking that they're kids.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:17Speaker 2: But okay, so now... Continue with this. So now at
- 52:19Speaker 2: the end... So basically, everybody got convicted. They all got
- 52:22Speaker 2: convicted of basically deception by... Fraud by deception, right? Because
- 52:26Speaker 2: they all... unwillingly got this money, including Mr. Bobbitt, who
- 52:30Speaker 2: was homeless. Undeservingly got the money. They lied about it. Right. Yeah.
- 52:35Speaker 2: So now the main guy got five years. The boyfriend.
- 52:38Speaker 2: The boyfriend. And I'm not sure where he is in
- 52:41Speaker 2: that actual custody time. The girl got her one year
- 52:45Speaker 2: and then suspended the rest, and then she should be
- 52:47Speaker 2: going in soon. And Mr. Bobbitt, actually, he ended up
- 52:51Speaker 2: pleading on the night about two years ago. He did
- 52:55Speaker 2: not get any time, but he did get probation that
- 52:57Speaker 2: required rehab. It is kind of interesting. That's a good story. Well,
- 53:02Speaker 2: I mean, he needs it. I mean, yeah, but I
- 53:05Speaker 2: also feel he was a victim too. He was. And
- 53:08Speaker 2: they found this guy who was just like... A drug addict,
- 53:12Speaker 2: a vet, like homeless. And yeah. So I'm glad that
- 53:15Speaker 2: he didn't do time. They were the masterminds. They were
- 53:18Speaker 2: the masterminds. And I think that's exactly why. But at
- 53:20Speaker 2: the same time, really, who are the victims? Unfortunately, we're
- 53:24Speaker 2: the GoFundMe people. But also, can you imagine when he
- 53:26Speaker 2: came after them, how they must have been like, God,
- 53:29Speaker 2: you fucking idiot. Like, shut up. Right. You had 75,000
- 53:33Speaker 2: and everyone like, You're the one that didn't use it right.
- 53:39Speaker 2: But I think the problem is he probably was hanging
- 53:41Speaker 2: out with his friends. He had already blown through the 75.
- 53:43Speaker 2: He told the story. He told the story. And those
- 53:46Speaker 2: guys around were like, man, you need to get more money. God,
- 53:50Speaker 2: I think we know exactly.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Totally.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Exactly what happened. He's like, why are you guy? And then,
- 53:54Speaker 2: of course, you're saying, well, I think they got something
- 53:56Speaker 2: like $ 400, 000. So an attorney is going to say, well,
- 53:58Speaker 2: that means, okay, so 33% of $ 350, 000. Yeah, I'll take
- 54:02Speaker 2: this case for you. And then it's out. And then
- 54:04Speaker 2: if they're really smart, the attorney probably has a buddy
- 54:08Speaker 2: in the DA's office, the investigative office, and says, hey,
- 54:12Speaker 2: this is kind of BS. But the truth, really what
- 54:14Speaker 2: the saddest thing about this whole thing is whoever created GoFundMe... was,
- 54:20Speaker 2: it was a, it was, it went in with good intentions, right?
- 54:24Speaker 2: Such good intentions. And GoFundMe is really great, but you should, um,
- 54:29Speaker 2: and if you're someone that, you know, has a GoFundMe
- 54:31Speaker 2: account and you like to give five, $ 20, whatever, just
- 54:34Speaker 2: be really conscious of who you're, who's really getting it.
- 54:37Speaker 2: And also like, look, have they reached their goal? Then
- 54:41Speaker 2: maybe give to someone else. Like, you know, like sometimes
- 54:43Speaker 2: I see these things where they're like, above the goal.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:46Speaker 2: The goal was 20,000 and it's like, you know, 250,000
- 54:48Speaker 2: because the story was that good or it was in
- 54:51Speaker 2: the news. And I'm like, all right. You know, like,
- 54:54Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just saying be, be very careful because,
- 54:57Speaker 2: but then I think what people liked about GoFundMe is
- 54:59Speaker 2: that it went directly to the person when you'd hear
- 55:01Speaker 2: about the, you know, the misappropriation of funds of like
- 55:05Speaker 2: these big charity events and these foundations and, you know,
- 55:09Speaker 2: Like when I was doing something and they said, oh,
- 55:12Speaker 2: what's your charity? And I said, oh, you know, I
- 55:14Speaker 2: was joking. I'm like, oh, it's the Heather McDonald Foundation.
- 55:16Speaker 2: It helps middle-aged women named Heather McDonald get, you know, Botox.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I'm like, really? It's called your foundation? Right. And you
- 55:26Speaker 2: think it's... Come on. Well, you have to. I mean,
- 55:29Speaker 2: there are certain foundations under your name that really... But
- 55:31Speaker 2: that's why it's so important under 501Cs that you are
- 55:34Speaker 2: supposed to be showing all of these things. But you
- 55:36Speaker 2: should be also very careful who you give your money to. Absolutely.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I think that's why people liked it is because it
- 55:41Speaker 2: would go directly to the person to have a funeral
- 55:43Speaker 2: or whatever they needed. But some of these things are
- 55:46Speaker 2: when you see people that are asking for... something, you know, like,
- 55:50Speaker 2: oh my gosh, my kid really wants their closet redone
- 55:54Speaker 2: and they like live in a nice home. I'm just
- 55:56Speaker 2: using as an example. And it would just be so
- 55:58Speaker 2: much if my teenage daughter could have the walk-in closet
- 56:00Speaker 2: of her dreams. And like, I mean, I've literally... Oh no,
- 56:03Speaker 2: I've seen it. And because they're a celebrity, people will
- 56:06Speaker 2: give that. And it's like, okay, but your child's still
- 56:09Speaker 2: in private school and... But I think people are giving
- 56:12Speaker 2: to these ridiculous things because it's going viral, because then
- 56:16Speaker 2: they'll be jumping on the viral attention bandwagon. And I
- 56:19Speaker 2: think a lot of people never gave money to like
- 56:21Speaker 2: maybe United Way or a lot of places because their
- 56:24Speaker 2: donation kind of get lost and it might go into
- 56:26Speaker 2: administrative stuff and they didn't want that. But then they
- 56:28Speaker 2: give it to somebody who's just... you know, these people
- 56:32Speaker 2: and then it goes sideways. So yeah, somewhere in the middle,
- 56:34Speaker 2: maybe there might be a movie or a doc about
- 56:37Speaker 2: this or coming out, which I think is very juicy.
- 56:39Speaker 2: I think they should. It's really interesting. You were a
- 56:41Speaker 2: big hit in convincing, uh, Jen Shaw to do her
- 56:45Speaker 2: plea deal. Um, Jen Shaw, I just, uh, noticed that
- 56:49Speaker 2: she's back. She's posting, she's doing shamazing and, um, you know,
- 56:55Speaker 2: a lot of people are talking about the speculation of
- 56:58Speaker 2: what kind of time she actually will get. We had
- 57:01Speaker 2: said she can't appeal if she gets more than 14 years,
- 57:06Speaker 2: but that doesn't mean she's going to get 14 years.
- 57:09Speaker 2: Do you have any more thoughts or predictions of about
- 57:12Speaker 2: the time that she would do? Well, I'm glad she's
- 57:15Speaker 2: doing shemazing and, um, I'm hoping she's wearing less purses
- 57:19Speaker 2: and she's taking it down a notch. And I, you know,
- 57:22Speaker 2: I hope maybe she, uh, Took my advice and is
- 57:26Speaker 2: working on lowering that time. I do think she's going
- 57:28Speaker 2: to get some time. I don't think... I think there's
- 57:31Speaker 2: a strong possibility it won't be 14 years. I think
- 57:35Speaker 2: we saw that she gets to do Halloween, which is
- 57:39Speaker 2: great because I'm sure she had some great costumes planned.
- 57:41Speaker 2: It's always a fun holiday. I think she's going to
- 57:44Speaker 2: get sentenced after Thanksgiving. And then I heard somewhere that they...
- 57:50Speaker 2: her people might, she might get sentenced, but then she
- 57:53Speaker 2: might not have to turn herself in until maybe after Christmas.
- 57:57Speaker 2: And that can happen for sure. I mean, if you
- 58:00Speaker 2: could try to work something out, but a lot of
- 58:02Speaker 2: times it's, if it's not really determined ahead of time, then,
- 58:06Speaker 2: you know, you don't know, you can't take anything for granted.
- 58:09Speaker 2: So if I was her, I'd be still working with the,
- 58:13Speaker 2: like the the sentencing memorandum. I'd be working with the
- 58:16Speaker 2: prosecution to the extent that they can say anything good.
- 58:19Speaker 2: I'd be obviously working with the victims to the extent that,
- 58:22Speaker 2: you know, anything like, I think I mentioned before restitution,
- 58:26Speaker 2: I think could be a huge factor in that. So
- 58:29Speaker 2: she's going to be, she should be paying all that money.
- 58:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 58:31Speaker 2: The thing is, is that I think when people in
- 58:33Speaker 2: the Bravo world compare her and I just saw posts, like,
- 58:36Speaker 2: why aren't people more upset with about Jen Shah. They're
- 58:39Speaker 2: so upset about Erica Jane. And I just think the
- 58:42Speaker 2: cases are just very different. And in this one, she
- 58:46Speaker 2: was doing the scam and we haven't really, even the
- 58:50Speaker 2: Hulu doc didn't really, we didn't see a personal victim
- 58:54Speaker 2: like we did in the, um, the Jen Shah Hulu
- 58:57Speaker 2: doc was very different than the, than the Erica Jane
- 59:00Speaker 2: Hulu doc where we actually saw the victim and, saw
- 59:04Speaker 2: his burns and saw what he went through and heard
- 59:07Speaker 2: from himself, what it was like. And I don't think
- 59:10Speaker 2: that we literally don't know what the... We haven't heard
- 59:15Speaker 2: anyone be like, so I was living my great life.
- 59:18Speaker 2: I wanted to do this thing. And after that, I
- 59:22Speaker 2: lost my home. I lost this. My life was ruined.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I got divorced. We don't know what So I don't
- 59:29Speaker 2: think as a person at home that we have that
- 59:30Speaker 2: same kind of passion that we do, obviously. And the
- 59:34Speaker 2: crimes were worse as far as the Tom Girardi did. Well,
- 59:38Speaker 2: that's what sentencing is about. Because we're talking about what's
- 59:41Speaker 2: Jen Shaw's defense or what's her mitigation. But really, it's
- 59:44Speaker 2: what the prosecution is going to present. So expect a
- 59:47Speaker 2: sentencing that That does feature that. Extremely tough. Yeah. To
- 59:51Speaker 2: tell these stories. I mean, it's not really unlike anything
- 59:54Speaker 2: that we saw with the Athlete A story. That was
- 59:56Speaker 2: all the sentencing. When all those athletes... Oh, with the... Gymnastics.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Do you remember the... Larry... Nassif. Nassif. Oh. So that
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: was sentencing. When he was... Yes. Yes. Well, all the
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: girls that got molested and, you know, violated all those years. Okay.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Then you got, then you all, and then they came
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: and they told their impact statements and they said what happened.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Got it.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: So there's two ways you can kind of do this.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: I mean, there could be a situation where it would
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: benefit if she paid the restitution, if she showed some
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: more remorse, and then maybe the prosecution won't go after
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: her any more than they already have. And you have
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: to kind of wonder, did they agree to the 14 years?
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: And same with the judge, because maybe they don't have
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: those victims readily available. And I just wonder if the victims,
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: is it like there's 2,000 victims, but nobody lost more
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: than $ 12, 000? Yes. We don't know what I mean. Like there,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: there isn't that like, you know, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: That's where I, I think. And then the other question is,
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: does her, did her, why is no one going after
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: her husband the way they're going after Erica Jane? Well,
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: quite simply, Erica Jane has checks going to Erica Jane's
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: business from the law firm and I don't think there's
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: any checks like that. Did he, did Jen Shah's husband
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: benefit from being her husband and, you know, having some
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Gucci loafers and having a nice party thrown for him? Yeah.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: But he also had a whole nother career that he
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: got a paycheck from completely separate from her, but he
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: was a former attorney. So did he know what was
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: going on? Yeah. I think people know when they're married
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: to someone shady. I think there's a lot of women
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: out there that know they're married to someone shady. And
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: they're like, I don't really want to ask about it.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: But you also have to understand what the Erika Jayne thing...
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: I mean, Tom Girardi, everybody knew who Tom Girardi is,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: but everybody knew who Erika Jayne was. I mean, we
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: know who coach... I don't even know his last name.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: But we only know who Erika Jayne was because Real
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: Housewives of Beverly Hills. When she was paying to perform
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: at the white parties in Palm Springs, nobody, including the
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: gay guys gyrating to her song, had ever heard of
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: her before. No, but I agree. But once you get
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: that persona, and then it comes out that all the
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: money that was being loaned to this company, I mean... Okay.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: I mean, look, Erica could put on her blinders and say, oh,
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: everything was great. And there is no problem with them
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: doing that. But the problem I really have, if you
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: really look through the background of it, is that she
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: was subpoenaed twice for that original lawsuit. Who are we
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: talking about? Jen. No, now I'm talking about Erica Jane. Okay,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Erica Jane. She was subpoenaed twice. That was, I believe,
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: in March and June of 2020. She didn't announce her
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: divorce until November of 2020. Okay. She acts like she
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: didn't know anything about it. And somewhere along 2020, he's,
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: you know, going through the Alzheimer's or... Well, I'll tell
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: you what happened, baby. I'll tell you what happened. Tom
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: told me, don't worry about it. That's part of the game.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: You get sued, you sue people, you know, jealous people.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: So I answered the best I could, but no, I
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: didn't have the knowledge of it. Yeah, she probably had
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: the knowledge of it. I think it's pretty clear. Of
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: course she had. And one of the reasons she... Because
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: we know she didn't even show up for the subpoena.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: She just dodged bullets. Oh, I'm on vacation or I'm
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: on something. So then six months later, while this case
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: is supposedly going further and she's still getting money put
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: in her account and she's accepting it and she's making
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: her own money and somehow, I mean, did she know
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: exactly what was happening? I don't know, but I mean, really?
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: It was just a bottomless well? Two juicy things that
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: happened in the episode that aired this past week was
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: she goes over to Diane Jenkins' house and Diane Jenkins
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: is going to donate or get rid of some of
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: her fancy clothes. And Erica's like, it's a lot. It's
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: a lot when you have a collection like this. I
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: sold a lot of my collection. And I was like,
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: Where did that go? Yeah. I thought there was some
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: limit to her going to the real, real with her clothes.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: And then the other thing she said was, I'm still
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: separated from Tom because if I divorced him, I'd have
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: to pay alimony. So I'll just stay separated. And I'm like, yeah,
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I agree. Don't get divorced. And you would have to
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: pay alimony because you're making a salary and he's not.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: And you giving him money so he can have more
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: snacks at the memory care facility. I don't think that's
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: going to help the victims either. And you better save
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: it for your glam squad in your dollhouse. So, I mean,
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: I thought that was kind of some juicy stuff that
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: was revealed. Well, the divorce is really just to take second.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: you know, tier to obviously all the other cases that
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: are going on. I mean, the victims are more important.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: So it's like the divorce right now. Okay. That's just
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: kind of a juggernaut. I mean, why are, for his
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: sake too, like, does it really matter? I mean, both,
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: he doesn't supposedly have any money because if he did,
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: he'd be giving it to the victims. And right now,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: because we don't really know where the money is, that's
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: really the scary thing. We have to go after Erica
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: Jane because she's the only one that maybe has this money.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: If she even still has it. I don't think there
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: is any. I kind of wonder too. I don't think...
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: I mean... But where are you going to go? Because
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: it's bad enough. I mean, his reputation has been ruined.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: It's also very sad if he was going through this
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Alzheimer's thing. But if it's really been going on for
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: a decade, which is the allegation and the complaint, then...
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: You mean the crimes? The crimes. Well, I think they've
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: even gone... I think we discovered that it had even
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: gone farther. Even to the Erin Brockovich days, there was
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: stuff that wasn't done totally right. And I know that
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: attorney that's dealing with... not Ron Richards, but the other
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: attorney I think is now, I want to say his
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: name is Edelson.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: He's trying to, you know, really basically kind of go
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: back into years, you know, and then, but then you
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: also want to think about not just him, but all
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: of the partners, because there's another lawsuit going where his
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: partners are suing Tom Girardi. But then when you look
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: at that point, it was like, I understand that they
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: didn't get their partner money, but you're saying for all
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: that time, you didn't know what was going on and
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: you didn't know that these cases were, these victims were
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: not being paid and, And I also read something too,
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: that toward the end, he was giving these, he was
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: basically pawning these cases off where he thought he'd be
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: getting quite a bit of money, like a good personal
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: injury case and giving it to other attorneys.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: So he would get someone to come into him because
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: they know Erica Jane and they know the, you know, uh,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Aaron Brockovich story. And he'd be like, oh, this crime
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: happened in Chicago. I'll give it to this attorney and
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: then I get like a referral fee or a chunk
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: of it. So he gets some money. But the other
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: person really does all the work. Right. Well, he also,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I mean, he doesn't want to have more victims. Right.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: So he's taking, because right now everything, I mean, really
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: literally it's he's taking away one area to fill up
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: another pot. Right. So it's like he wants to give
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: it to another attorney because- I'll take that. I'll take
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: some money I can spend as opposed to having these
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: 500 victims not get their settlement check because I can't,
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: because I've got to fill out the other pot to
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: pay the other people I never paid off. So it
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: just becomes so deep. There's nowhere to go. And that's
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: what happens. Well, okay. So, so that's, we'll see what happens. Um,
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: but she can enjoy the rest of her Halloween, her summer,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: her filming, Jen Shaw can, um, And then we'll see
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: what she gets. I wanted to just say one thing
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: on that. When we talk about like sympathetic victims, I
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: kind of get the feeling at least with a little
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: bit that we do know about these victims. Which about
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Jen Shaw. Jen Shaw now. Is that, you know, yeah,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: it's pretty gross what she did because we're talking about
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: maybe somewhat more vulnerable people. But I think most people
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: know that you shouldn't be investing in stupid stuff like this.
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: It's like a little bit of a dummy thing. But
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: that's another reason why I don't think we're getting anyone
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: that wanted to go on the Hulu doc, because they're embarrassed.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: It's like, think about if it happened to dad. Think
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: if when dad got an email or dad thought something was,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: you know, whatever, and ended up giving this chick, Jen Shaw,
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: 10 grand that he never got back. There's no way
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: dad would want to be on camera or dad go
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: down to the courthouse and tell his boo-hoo story about
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: being such an old, stupid man that he gave $ 10, 000. Yeah,
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: that he doesn't understand. And so that's where I think it's,
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: you know, and even in her head, even though they
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: were vulnerable and stuff in her head, she probably was like,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: this isn't going to, you know, I'm not taking someone's
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: home from them. So we'll find out what happens because
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: if there is something there, the prosecution is going to
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: bring it. And if there's not, and she's able to
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: pay off that restitution, you're probably going to see significantly
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: less time than 14 years. I'm going to say my
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: prediction now. Mark it down, Annie. I'm going to say
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: she gets sentenced for like 34 months and she gets out.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: So that's three years, just under three years. I just
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: didn't do want to do it on the dot because
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: I just thought that would be like two on the nose, 36.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: So I'm going to say 34 years. And then she
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: gets out at like 21. She gets out just under
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: two years. That's my prediction. I think she's going to
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: get five years. And I think she's going to get
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: approximately 10 years supervised probation. I don't think supervised. Who
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: cares about supervised probation? I know, but that's the justification,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: I think, for the five years as opposed to the 10, 11, 12, 8, 9. Okay,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: that's a good one. I think she'll get about five,
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: give or take. She'll get up and then how much
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: time will she do? Maybe three and a half. Okay.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: All right. Well, we're close. Well, Shannon, thank you so
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: much for all your juicy, uh, tidbits and role-playing with me.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Tell everybody where they can find you and your husband's
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: practice if they ever need an attorney or advice. Thank you.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: We are in the Palm Desert Coachella area and it's
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: actually michaelgoldstein.net, www.michaelgoldstein.net. But I'm Shannon McDonald Goldstein. You can
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: always find me up and, uh, And our website's pretty
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: easy to find. And we do all of the DUIs.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: And we do a lot of traffic. But we do
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: all kinds of criminal work. And I've done some juvenile.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: And hopefully that's not needed too. But I do juvenile
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: dependency work too. Great. Thanks.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: All right. Bye.
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: The car is beautiful. Where did you end up going
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: for it? This exclusive place that Dad has connections with.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: They have more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: What's it called?
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: It's Dunaidial.
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: Where?
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: Dunaidial. There's an accent on the E. Do you mean... Yes,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Lift?
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Please. Are you going past Kimmage?
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Oh, Kimmage.
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: No.
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
