- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten WR. Filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark. Here's Ken Rosatto. That's a nice to
- 0:08Speaker 1: be here. Happy Friday, the end of the week here
- 0:11Speaker 1: and Mark taking a nice long weekend. This is Ken Rosotto,
- 0:15Speaker 1: former New York City TV news anchor on duty and
- 0:18Speaker 1: proud to be here. Thank you Mark, Thank you Wor
- 0:21Speaker 1: for letting me sit in the seat. Do you'd probably
- 0:23Speaker 1: best remember me from twenty years I spent anchoring the
- 0:26Speaker 1: morning show at Channel seven, and nowadays I host a
- 0:29Speaker 1: daily show over on a New Jersey based channel. You
- 0:31Speaker 1: could see it everywhere though it's called on New Jersey.
- 0:35Speaker 1: You could stream it atnenj dot com. And I also
- 0:39Speaker 1: have a food website called The Food Dude. You could
- 0:41Speaker 1: catch that at Thefooddude dot us. Thefooddude dot us absolutely free.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Check out some holiday recipes. Good to be with you,
- 0:50Speaker 1: A lot to talk about today, Give us a call
- 0:52Speaker 1: take part one eight hundred three two one zero seven, ten,
- 0:57Speaker 1: one eight hundred three two one zero seven and ten. Well,
- 1:01Speaker 1: it is certainly holiday season in the city. You feel
- 1:03Speaker 1: it everywhere just walking down the street here today, coming
- 1:07Speaker 1: into the studio to do the work here, you got
- 1:10Speaker 1: everything you got the jingling in the air, and you
- 1:13Speaker 1: got the decorations up everywhere. It really does feel festive.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Did you catch that Rockefeller Center tree lighting the other night?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Ten o'clock at night? Gosh, I go to bed at
- 1:22Speaker 1: like seven, so at ten o'clock I had like one.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I always saying, well, you light the damn tree, for guys' sake,
- 1:27Speaker 1: just light it. At least they call it a Christmas tree,
- 1:30Speaker 1: though I give them credit for that. They call it
- 1:33Speaker 1: a Christmas tree, unlike what they did. Was it in Minneapolis,
- 1:36Speaker 1: the Minneapolis tree. They just called the Minneapolis tree, the tree,
- 1:41Speaker 1: the tree. It's like, that's real, really into the spirit
- 1:44Speaker 1: of the season, folks. The tree is God forbid we
- 1:47Speaker 1: offend anyone. Well, the whole point of the tree came
- 1:50Speaker 1: out of the season. Oh right away, we're gonna have
- 1:53Speaker 1: the people say, can you know that's a pagan thing,
- 1:56Speaker 1: the tree? Well, yes and no, yes and no. There's
- 1:59Speaker 1: a lot there's a lot of symbolism behind the tree. Yes,
- 2:02Speaker 1: it was not a direct Christian thing. We could do
- 2:04Speaker 1: a whole show on the origins of the tree. But
- 2:07Speaker 1: nonetheless it has been adapted and adopted into the holiday.
- 2:11Speaker 1: So it is part of the holiday as part of tradition.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So it's okay we call it a Christmas tree. You
- 2:17Speaker 1: don't have to be an apologist for it. It's okay.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You're not calling it a Christmas tree to offend people
- 2:23Speaker 1: who don't celebrate Christmas. You're calling it a Christmas tree
- 2:25Speaker 1: because guess what, it's a Christmas tree. That's it. And
- 2:29Speaker 1: honor and revere and help celebrate everybody else's religion too.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You're entitled to whatever you have in your faith, and
- 2:34Speaker 1: I applaud you, and I would respect anything that you
- 2:38Speaker 1: have in your respective religion, just like we asked that
- 2:43Speaker 1: you respect that we have a Christmas tree. Done enough
- 2:46Speaker 1: said on that. Okay, Hey, it's seven ten wo r
- 2:49Speaker 1: the Voice of New York. Did you hear that the
- 2:51Speaker 1: incoming mayor Mum Dunny says now that he will stop
- 2:56Speaker 1: all homeless encampment sweeps. Did you realize what that means?
- 3:02Speaker 1: That means that this time next year you will be
- 3:04Speaker 1: crawling over homeless people at every intersection, because somehow he
- 3:10Speaker 1: thinks that everybody has a right to every inch of
- 3:12Speaker 1: sidewalk in Manhattan. Oh, unless, of course you're trying to
- 3:14Speaker 1: be a capitalist. I'm sure if you tried to sell something,
- 3:17Speaker 1: Oh no, he'll lock you up for that. He'll give
- 3:19Speaker 1: you fines. Because no, we don't like capitalism. The city
- 3:23Speaker 1: and the whole country was built on it. No, but
- 3:25Speaker 1: we don't like that. But if you want to do drugs, drink,
- 3:29Speaker 1: urinate on your pants and your pants rather than do
- 3:32Speaker 1: whatever else to be disgusting in the city, you know
- 3:35Speaker 1: and know the ninety nine point nine percent of the
- 3:37Speaker 1: homeless are not just people who were working yesterday and
- 3:41Speaker 1: today it can get a check. There are some, of course,
- 3:44Speaker 1: who are down in their luck, and that does happen.
- 3:47Speaker 1: But if you ask anybody who deals with homeless on
- 3:50Speaker 1: a regular basis, the vast majority of people who are
- 3:53Speaker 1: homeless have either mental psychological problems and need help. And
- 3:57Speaker 1: that's what we should be doing, is helping that, okay,
- 4:00Speaker 1: or they have drug or alcohol addiction. Period. Very very
- 4:05Speaker 1: tiny fraction of a percent actually are homeless because mom
- 4:10Speaker 1: and dad both lost their jobs, they have the three kids,
- 4:12Speaker 1: and they're now living on the street. That does happen. Again,
- 4:15Speaker 1: like I said, but it's very very rare. But now
- 4:18Speaker 1: under incoming mayor Mom Donnie A note that I can
- 4:20Speaker 1: pronounce his name properly that he will stop all homeless
- 4:25Speaker 1: encampment sweeps. So naturally he doesn't have an answer for
- 4:29Speaker 1: what's going to happen. What are you gonna do when
- 4:31Speaker 1: you're crawling over homeless people? Is that the better thing?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Is that the more respectful thing to do for a
- 4:36Speaker 1: human being to let them wallow in their feces in
- 4:39Speaker 1: the street and step over them. I guess that's the
- 4:42Speaker 1: better thing that's in the minds of a socialist. That's
- 4:46Speaker 1: the better thing than to try to help them up
- 4:48Speaker 1: and get them some help. Seven ten w R the
- 4:51Speaker 1: Voice of New York. We want to hear from you.
- 4:53Speaker 1: So that number again is eight hundred three two one
- 4:55Speaker 1: zero seven ten. How about Maurice Dubois over at CBS
- 5:00Speaker 1: Evening News. I've met Maurice probably a dozen times. Just
- 5:05Speaker 1: a total gentleman, handsome as all heck, as handsome as
- 5:08Speaker 1: he looks on TV, he's even more handsome in person,
- 5:11Speaker 1: nice gentleman, and he is just that a gentleman. I
- 5:14Speaker 1: don't care about the politics whatever. I don't even know
- 5:16Speaker 1: what his politics are, quite frankly, I can't really tell everyone.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So Kenny's got to be a Democrat. He's an anchor. Well,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I was an anchor. You all thought I was a liberal.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You had to see the stuff that I would get.
- 5:25Speaker 1: You a liberal? Are you lefty? If they only knew,
- 5:28Speaker 1: I would just sit there and laugh when I get
- 5:30Speaker 1: that stuff. I don't know where Maurice stands politically, and
- 5:33Speaker 1: that's the way it should be. What I do know
- 5:35Speaker 1: is he's a fantastic anchor, and he is a fantastic person,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and he is exiting CBS and that leaves the CBS
- 5:43Speaker 1: Evening News without anchors. They were the only ones with
- 5:46Speaker 1: an anchor team, and now they're the only ones. And
- 5:50Speaker 1: by the way, when I'm talking about the CBS Evening News,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I'm not talking about Channel too Local. I'm talking about
- 5:54Speaker 1: the network news that goes on from six thirty to
- 5:57Speaker 1: seven pm week nights. That's the CBS Evening News. A
- 6:00Speaker 1: lot of people confuse Channel to Local with CBS Network
- 6:05Speaker 1: co owned by the same parent company, but run as
- 6:07Speaker 1: two different entities. One is national and one is just
- 6:10Speaker 1: I say, just New York nine percent of the population
- 6:13Speaker 1: just New York. But nonetheless, that will leave them from
- 6:18Speaker 1: two anchors down to none. Because John Dickerson announced that
- 6:22Speaker 1: he was leaving at the end of December sent CBS,
- 6:26Speaker 1: who a few weeks ago had two anchors, Now they
- 6:30Speaker 1: will have none, literally in a matter of weeks, so
- 6:32Speaker 1: they better act fast. And no, I'm not available for
- 6:35Speaker 1: the record. I got stuff going on in my life. Now.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You could have called me a couple of years ago.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I had some free free time. Seven t w R
- 6:43Speaker 1: The Voice of New York. What do you think about
- 6:46Speaker 1: this pipe bomber arrest? Well, if you haven't heard a
- 6:49Speaker 1: suspect has been arrested in connection with the planting of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the pipe bombs, if you haven't checked news out for days.
- 6:55Speaker 1: The bombs were planted outside both the Democratic and report
- 7:00Speaker 1: Publican national committees back on the eve of the January sixth,
- 7:04Speaker 1: twenty twenty one Capitol riot. Now, mainstream legacy left wing
- 7:08Speaker 1: media has tried and tried and tried to paint the
- 7:11Speaker 1: guy who was arrested as either a right wing extremist
- 7:15Speaker 1: or a centrist because he planted bombs in front of
- 7:18Speaker 1: both locations, the Republican and Democrat National Committees. But it
- 7:23Speaker 1: turns out he's not a centrist and he certainly is
- 7:26Speaker 1: not a MAGA right winger. The suspect is a thirty
- 7:29Speaker 1: year old man who lived in his mommy and daddy's
- 7:32Speaker 1: basement and a beautiful suburb of d C. His name,
- 7:36Speaker 1: according to authorities, is Brian J. Cole Junior. He lived
- 7:41Speaker 1: with his parents in a lovely suburb of DC called Woodbridge, Virginia.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It's not too far outside of DC. You can make
- 7:48Speaker 1: it there in about half an hour. It's about twenty
- 7:49Speaker 1: miles out of Washington. Now, normally I wouldn't mention somebody's
- 7:53Speaker 1: race and connection with an arrest. We had a rule
- 7:55Speaker 1: when I was a Channel seven, Channel five and anywhere.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It's kind of standard the time you have to you'd
- 8:01Speaker 1: say somebody is black, Asian, white is if it is
- 8:05Speaker 1: in connection with other identifying features. So if the person
- 8:08Speaker 1: had a scar under his left eye, brown eyes, brown hair,
- 8:12Speaker 1: six foot four, had a limp, and is black, that's okay,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because now that gives you somebody to look for to
- 8:18Speaker 1: say it's a black male. Now you're identifying somebody as
- 8:21Speaker 1: one of maybe a million people. So that's not fair.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And that's the way we had that as a rule. Okay, Well,
- 8:27Speaker 1: apparently CNN has has different rules. Jacob Tapper and I
- 8:31Speaker 1: say Jacob, because that's what former President obam used to
- 8:34Speaker 1: call him Jacob Copper, Jacob Jacob. Jacob Tapper decided to
- 8:40Speaker 1: describe the person as if he were still on the
- 8:43Speaker 1: loose when he was already under arrest, and yesterday, Jacob
- 8:46Speaker 1: Tapper at CNN breathlessly identified this January sixth pipe bombing
- 8:52Speaker 1: suspect as a thirty year old white man.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Listen to this, Brian Cole Junior, a thirty year old
- 8:59Speaker 2: white man from the DC suburbs is charts with transporting
- 9:02Speaker 2: and explosive device in interstate commerce and with malicious destruction
- 9:08Speaker 2: by means of explosions. Seeing an observed local and federal
- 9:11Speaker 2: law enforcement outside his home in Woodbridge, Virginia this morning.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Now, Okay, I don't care, white, black, green, Asian doesn't
- 9:18Speaker 1: matter to me. The fact. The fact is this guy
- 9:21Speaker 1: is a suspect for planning pipe pomps. That's what he
- 9:24Speaker 1: suspected of doing. And you're innocent, un less proven guilty.
- 9:27Speaker 1: So I just want to make that clear here. Bottom
- 9:30Speaker 1: line is literally who was his producer? On the TV screen,
- 9:35Speaker 1: there is an image of the man who is clearly
- 9:37Speaker 1: African American, and you have Jacob Tapper voicing the story
- 9:43Speaker 1: as a thirty year old white man. It's like, who
- 9:45Speaker 1: are you going to believe me? Or your own lying eyes?
- 9:48Speaker 1: So right away you're thinking, either they're showing the wrong
- 9:50Speaker 1: video or whoever wrote Jacob Tapper's script is going to
- 9:54Speaker 1: have a meeting because that was wrong. But what's worse
- 9:57Speaker 1: is I didn't hear any correction later. Can you imagine
- 10:01Speaker 1: for a second if the reverse were true. Can you
- 10:04Speaker 1: imagine if the suspect arrested in an offense were white,
- 10:10Speaker 1: and that suspect were identified on the air as a
- 10:14Speaker 1: black man, then all you would hear is, oh, you're
- 10:18Speaker 1: trying to identify black with criminality. Right away, that's what
- 10:21Speaker 1: you'd hear. And you know what, they would be right.
- 10:23Speaker 1: They would be right, because it's wrong. If you're going
- 10:26Speaker 1: to mention somebody's race, you damn well better get it
- 10:30Speaker 1: right or else don't indict a whole race of people,
- 10:33Speaker 1: whether you're talking about black people, white people, or Asian
- 10:37Speaker 1: people or anyone else. But it seems that for CNN
- 10:41Speaker 1: and many in mainstream media, if you're indicting white people,
- 10:45Speaker 1: it's okay because Whites and Christians throw them under the bus.
- 10:50Speaker 1: You know, they got away with so much over the years,
- 10:52Speaker 1: who really cares well, It turns out that thirty year
- 10:56Speaker 1: old so called white man is a thirty year old
- 10:59Speaker 1: black man. The color has no consequence, all right. He
- 11:02Speaker 1: comes from a very nice background. He comes from a
- 11:05Speaker 1: wealthy suburb, wealthy parents. His dad owns a bail bond's business.
- 11:09Speaker 1: He deals with a lot of money. His mom is
- 11:12Speaker 1: also professional, but he still hasn't launched. At thirty, he's
- 11:17Speaker 1: living with his folks, although he worked for his dad.
- 11:20Speaker 1: His picture was released to the press when Jake Tapper
- 11:24Speaker 1: was doing the story, which makes you scratch your head
- 11:26Speaker 1: and wonder who wrote this story and why and how
- 11:28Speaker 1: do they get it so wrong? It's crazy anyway. Brian
- 11:32Speaker 1: Cole Junior is considered not a right wing maga guy,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but an activist for the left. He is a radical
- 11:39Speaker 1: anti Trump warrior. He has sued Trump, Ice and the
- 11:43Speaker 1: Department of Homeland Security for quote racial injustice. He generally
- 11:48Speaker 1: has been known to support BLM style causes. He's also
- 11:53Speaker 1: the bail bond business that his father runs is specifically
- 11:57Speaker 1: there to help bail out illegal aliens. That's what they do,
- 12:02Speaker 1: so they are very much anti Ice, anti Homeland Security
- 12:06Speaker 1: in many ways, etc. These are far leftist people. They
- 12:10Speaker 1: are not moderates, They're not in the middle of the road,
- 12:12Speaker 1: they're not Republicans. These are leftists. So you wonder why
- 12:17Speaker 1: the Biden FBI for four years, who had the information
- 12:20Speaker 1: about this guy, they knew that he was out there,
- 12:22Speaker 1: they never bothered to investigate. No, for the Biden FBI,
- 12:27Speaker 1: it was more important to hunt down parents who show
- 12:30Speaker 1: up at school board meetings complaining that their little girls
- 12:33Speaker 1: have to get naked in the shower next to a
- 12:36Speaker 1: biological male who thinks that day that they're a woman.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Those are the parents that need to be identified by
- 12:42Speaker 1: the FBI and investigated. Little old ladies on their knees
- 12:46Speaker 1: four blocks away from an abortion clinic praying the Rosary
- 12:49Speaker 1: and begging God that somebody changes their mind about having
- 12:52Speaker 1: an abortion, Those are the people that the FBI needed
- 12:55Speaker 1: to investigate because they pose a threat to humanity. Roman
- 12:58Speaker 1: Catholics who like the traditional Latin Mass and prey in
- 13:01Speaker 1: Latin because the church has done that for two thousand
- 13:04Speaker 1: freaking years, those are the people will have to be investigated.
- 13:08Speaker 1: But yet, a guy who has all these ties to
- 13:12Speaker 1: radical causes, etc. And whose family actually bails out illegal aliens. Now,
- 13:18Speaker 1: the FBI says, leave them alone, we're not going to
- 13:20Speaker 1: investigate them, even though even though they had evidence they
- 13:24Speaker 1: had pings from the guy's cell phone. They claim the
- 13:28Speaker 1: FBI they had pings putting him in the location of
- 13:32Speaker 1: both the Republican National Committee and the Democrat National Committee
- 13:36Speaker 1: at the time the pipe bombs were planted. So that
- 13:40Speaker 1: should have been something that at least should have been
- 13:42Speaker 1: looked into by the FBI. But amazingly, either they didn't
- 13:46Speaker 1: do it, or they did it and it didn't fit
- 13:48Speaker 1: the narrative, so they chose not to do anything about it. Well,
- 13:51Speaker 1: believe me, this will be looked into now because this
- 13:54Speaker 1: guy was floating out there potentially posing a threat for
- 13:57Speaker 1: four years and it didn't have to be that way.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten, eight hundred
- 14:02Speaker 1: three to two to one zero seven ten. Give us
- 14:04Speaker 1: a call, let us know what you're thinking. Luigi man
- 14:08Speaker 1: Joni's High State Court hearing resumed yesterday, but we just
- 14:11Speaker 1: find out now that he will not be in court today.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Apparently he's a little under the weather, either his eyebrows
- 14:17Speaker 1: neither trimming or something, but he wasn't feeling well. Poor Luigi. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: it was okay. He was feeling well enough a year
- 14:24Speaker 1: ago allegedly to allegedly shoot somebody dead, a father and
- 14:29Speaker 1: a husband. He was feeling well enough then. But he
- 14:31Speaker 1: has Tommy ache or something. Should we have to let
- 14:33Speaker 1: poor Luigi rest up today? Yeah, it was already a
- 14:37Speaker 1: year this week that he allegedly murdered United Healthcare CEO
- 14:40Speaker 1: Brian Thompson literally blocks from where I'm sitting here in
- 14:43Speaker 1: midtown Manhattan. So now the big theory here now. And
- 14:47Speaker 1: we heard about this on MENTI in the morning too.
- 14:49Speaker 1: It's amazing that the defense is trying to get the
- 14:53Speaker 1: case thrown out on technicalities about the reading of the
- 14:58Speaker 1: Miranda laws and when you have to. We're going to
- 15:00Speaker 1: talk with Greg Jarrett, who's the legal and political consultant
- 15:04Speaker 1: over it to Fox News Channel. You've seen Greg on
- 15:07Speaker 1: the air a million times, I'm sure, and Greg is
- 15:09Speaker 1: an attorney. He's going to talk about when you have
- 15:12Speaker 1: to and when you don't have to read Miranda rights
- 15:15Speaker 1: to somebody. If somebody volunteers information or in the process
- 15:19Speaker 1: of an arrest, say they have a backpack and something
- 15:21Speaker 1: evidence falls out and it happens accidentally but not and
- 15:25Speaker 1: you hadn't yet read the Miranda rights. A lawyer will
- 15:28Speaker 1: tell you the details there. At that point, it's okay.
- 15:31Speaker 1: It's most lawyers will tell you that's admissible evidence at
- 15:35Speaker 1: that point. If, however, you stop somebody randomly on the
- 15:38Speaker 1: street without reading Miranda rights and you haven't announced their
- 15:42Speaker 1: arrest and you start rifling through their stuff and you
- 15:43Speaker 1: find something illegal, that's a whole different story. That's sort
- 15:46Speaker 1: of the way the defense is trying to paint this
- 15:49Speaker 1: right now. So we'll see what happens. We'll talk to
- 15:51Speaker 1: the expert, Greg Jarrett about that in just a little
- 15:54Speaker 1: bit seven ten wo R The Voice of New York.
- 15:57Speaker 1: It is cold. As every free analogy I have I
- 16:01Speaker 1: can't say on the radio. Let's just suffice to say
- 16:02Speaker 1: it's very very cold out there. And if you haven't
- 16:07Speaker 1: got out yet, make sure you bundle up because you're
- 16:09Speaker 1: gonna need to. And it's going to be that way
- 16:11Speaker 1: through the day today. Some sun this morning, it's going
- 16:13Speaker 1: to lead to some clouds later on in the day,
- 16:17Speaker 1: highs only in the upper twenties, then more clouds than
- 16:21Speaker 1: sun tomorrow and Sunday, hides both days only in the
- 16:23Speaker 1: upper thirties. And no, it's not yet even officially winter.
- 16:29Speaker 1: So once again, in just a bit we'll talk to
- 16:30Speaker 1: Fox News legal analyst Greg Jarrett. The time now is
- 16:33Speaker 1: ten twenty one WR. We're coming right back
