  Five days after the first big college football Saturday of the

  year. Sorry, I don't count Week 0, but

  we're going to do Week 1 college football recap and we're going

  to try to do this each and every week of the college football

  season. So let's get right to it.

  I'm an Ohio State fan, so I'm going to watch Ohio State
• 0:23
  usually no matter what. Although they are playing
• 0:25
  Grambling coming up this weekend, so that one may be over
• 0:30
  quick. That could be like 70 to zip.
• 0:33
  Although you don't want to show Grambling disrespect, but that
• 0:35
  one is not going to be a great game.

  However, Ohio State, Texas, pretty good game, at least on
• 0:42
  the scoreboard. Now it wasn't the most exciting
• 0:46
  game. Obviously you're thinking maybe
• 0:48
  you could get some some decent offense.
• 0:50
  Obviously both teams have a really good defense and that
• 0:55
  played out, but you had two young gunslingers, unproven but
• 1:00
  really highly touted quarterbacks Arch Manning and
• 1:03
  Julian Sayin and man, there was not a lot of offense to be got
• 1:08
  in that game. However, though, before we start
• 1:10
  breaking that one down, let's talk about the pregame because I
• 1:14
  do think it was cool college game day with Lee Corso.
• 1:18
  I was never really into game day watching.
• 1:21
  I I've never watched it religiously.
• 1:23
  I'm the type of person where if Ohio State's playing at it's 11
• 1:27
  O clock because I live in the central time zone, If Ohio
• 1:31
  State's playing at 11 and they do a lot, I know people complain
• 1:35
  about that. A lot of the big Buckeye games
• 1:38
  are at noon Eastern. But if Ohio State's playing at
• 1:41
  11, then I'm trying to get stuff done in the morning, stuff with
• 1:45
  the kids, maybe they have a a game, try to get to the gym,
• 1:49
  whatever it is, and then just lock in 5-10 minutes before the
• 1:52
  game. So I've never really been a big
• 1:54
  college game day person, but obviously I've seen it over the
• 1:57
  years. And I do think it was very cool
• 1:59
  the way they went out with Lee Corso and they said they're
• 2:03
  going to do it in a way they've never done it before and they're
• 2:05
  out on the field. You're thinking, is he going to
• 2:07
  dot the I? Is he going to dot the I with
• 2:10
  the band, which he didn't do, But still, it was very cool.

  He had the tuxedo on. And what did Lee Corso say?
• 2:16
  My first love, the first mascot had he put on was Brutus.
• 2:23
  Brutus the the nice headgear. And then he did it again for his
• 2:26
  final prediction. And then I saw what did he get
• 2:29
  every single prediction right. So good on Lee Corso.

  That was cool to see. All right, back to the game.

  So look, here's here's what was really entertaining to me.

  The game wasn't that entertaining.
• 2:43
  Now, fourth quarter got a little interesting, but once Arch
• 2:47
  Manning started playing and performing poorly, man, the
• 2:53
  memes on Twitter were so funny, so funny.
• 2:59
  And I was tweeting this out myself.

  I, I wonder if college football Twitter is, is the funniest of
• 3:03
  all twitters? Is it funnier than political
• 3:06
  Twitter? I mean, the memes came fast and
• 3:09
  furious and like a picture of JFK in his older years if he
• 3:16
  would have lived. And it said, you know, this is
• 3:18
  JFK if Arch Manning was the shooter.
• 3:21
  I mean, all kinds of just. And worse than that, worse than
• 3:25
  that. So you can just, you can go and
• 3:28
  check on on X. But they were really, really
• 3:30
  funny. And look, I think it was
• 3:33
  deserved. And some people are saying, oh,
• 3:35
  this is the media's fault for hyping up Arch Manning too much.
• 3:38
  And yeah, did the media hype up Arch Manning a lot?
• 3:42
  They did. But also, I mean, it's year 3
• 3:45
  for this dude. He's a Manning, by the way.
• 3:47
  He was in every commercial. Seems like a good kid, but he
• 3:51
  was in every commercial in between, in between play.
• 3:55
  And it's like at the beginning you're watching him play and
• 3:58
  he's not very good. And then you go to a whatever it
• 4:00
  was, the Ori commercial or the sunglasses, the the eyeglasses
• 4:04
  commercial that he was in there. And I just thought, I thought
• 4:07
  Arch Manning looked rattled early.

  I actually thought, and I tweeted this, I thought he
• 4:13
  looked Yippy. I thought he had the yips a
• 4:15
  little bit. Now a lot of people way smarter
• 4:17
  than I in football are saying that Matt Matt Patricia's
• 4:21
  defense was just just right on point in terms of disguising
• 4:27
  coverages. And I and I get that as well,
• 4:29
  but still like some of his early throws, he's skipping the ball
• 4:32
  off the turf and throwing the ball behind guys and you know,
• 4:36
  throwing at dudes shoe tops and all that.
• 4:38
  So I thought he looked nervous honestly.
• 4:41
  And credit goes to Matt Patricia, who, by the way, I
• 4:45
  never really liked. So now as an Ohio State fan, I
• 4:48
  feel like I do have to like Matt Patricia.
• 4:50
  But I mean, he dialed it up and he had just an absolutely
• 4:53
  picture perfect game plan. But also it looked like it
• 4:58
  looked like Arch Manning had time to throw.
• 5:02
  And I don't know if he was seeing ghosts out there, but he
• 5:05
  looked bad to me. And I understand it's on the
• 5:07
  road. First big, big game, first big
• 5:11
  start, 1st Rd. start. Ohio State's defence is elite.
• 5:14
  It's going to be just packed with NFL players.
• 5:16
  But I was really, really unimpressed.
• 5:19
  Actually, I was really unimpressed with Arch Manning.
• 5:22
  And I hope he plays better moving forward.
• 5:24
  I got nothing against the kid, but like, based on all the hype
• 5:28
  and I'm not somebody who watches all the games.
• 5:31
  And I never, I never have been the last several years since
• 5:33
  I've been out of TV especially. So I'm watching Ohio State so
• 5:36
  I've heard of the hype about Arch Manning and I looked and I
• 5:39
  guess he what started a couple games last year and I think he
• 5:41
  started against Mississippi State.
• 5:44
  So that's decent competition, but I, I just expected him to be
• 5:49
  pretty good in this game. I expected Julian Sane to be
• 5:53
  pretty good. I think Julian Sane was better
• 5:55
  than Arch Manning, but I think as that game progressed, Ryan
• 6:00
  Day just kind of realized what they had to do to win.
• 6:03
  And I think he was super, super conservative and it worked out,
• 6:06
  even though in the end there it's A1 score game and Texas and
• 6:10
  Arch Manning have the chance to, to tie it there at the end.

  But I never, I never really thought Ohio State was going to
• 6:17
  lose that game. And you know, after a few, a few
• 6:21
  minutes in 1/4 in whatever it was, I, I didn't really think
• 6:24
  Ohio State was going to lose that game.
• 6:26
  Also glad Ohio State is number one in the country.

  And I, I don't even want to say I don't care, but that was the
• 6:33
  right pick. I saw some people on ESPNI think
• 6:37
  it was Booger. McFarlane even suggested Penn
• 6:39
  State should be #1 it's like, what are, what are we talking
• 6:42
  about here? And then someone else, was it
• 6:44
  Heather Dennich? I, I don't know all the names,
• 6:46
  but I feel like she said, you know, LSU because they're a win
• 6:49
  on the road versus Clemson. I'm just thinking to myself,
• 6:52
  we're we're trying too hard here, folks.

  I understand ESPN is in bed with the SEC.
• 6:58
  We know Fox, Fox is in bed with the Big 10.

  But like we're overthinking things And, and I give LSU
• 7:07
  credit, that's a big win on the road Clemson.

  But like Ohio State is the defending national champs.

  They won, they beat the number one team in the country.

  Their defense was just off the charts good.

  Ohio State should be #1 they were ranked #1 and it wasn't
• 7:25
  even close. So that was good to see.

  OK, so Ohio State watch that whole game, Bing bang boom.

  And then so I didn't watch, I mean, Alabama.

  Another thing. I mean, Alabama fans going crazy
• 7:38
  didn't watch that game, but who? So what?

  Kaylyn De Boer has lost five games in his last, however many.

  So Alabama fans are are not too happy and I got nothing against
• 7:53
  Kaylin De Boer. So I like I like seeing people

  getting ornery and clearly Alabama fans are it's pretty

  early. I mean it's year 21 game in the

  year 2. But you're starting to see
• 8:06
  little leaks and this and that and things about culture.

  And I saw it today. I was reading a headline where

  what a Michigan player said that they run more at Michigan, a
• 8:15
  transfer because De Boer, you know, they didn't condition well
• 8:20
  at Alabama. You're starting to just see some
• 8:22
  little things here. A booster comes out and
• 8:25
  anonymously at a blog and says these guys at the hotel are
• 8:29
  coming in and out and eating food at late hours and all that
• 8:33
  and just seems like it's not the same discipline program as as
• 8:36
  Nick Saban. So so we'll see.

  It's very early there. I do think though, I mean,

  Kaitlyn Dubourg just really came on the scene on a national, on a
• 8:45
  national level pretty quickly there with Washington and all of
• 8:48
  a sudden boom gets the Bama job. It did seem kind of like an odd

  fit to me. And I understand he was really
• 8:56
  hot at the time. I always thought, I always
• 8:59
  thought that Dabo, just because Dabo went to Alabama.

  I always thought Dabo was the guy that would succeed Nick
• 9:09
  Saban. But obviously Dabo's got Clemson
• 9:10
  rolling so good the last 10-15 years, so he's got a good thing

  going right there. So Bama fans going nuts and then

  let's move to was it? Was it Sunday?

  Sunday is Notre Dame and Miami. And I did watch like the final

  quarter of that game and Notre Dame comes back and then there's

  the field goal at the end. So Miami wins it.

  And again, I just watched the last quarter of that game.

  I'm I'm rooting for Marcus Freeman.

  I grew up, I was never a fan of Notre Dame.

  I kind of always like to see Notre Dame lose.

  I really didn't like Brian Kelly at all.

  Still don't. But I root for Marcus Freeman,

  not just because he was a Buckeye, but he seems like a
• 9:54
  good dude. He's likable.

  But it does always seem like Notre Dame.

  They're always a little bit overrated, even if it's a little

  bit, they're a little bit overrated.

  Usually at the beginning of the season.

  Even last year when they came back and they were in the

  College Football Playoff championship game.

  But I mean they're early ranking, they lost to Northern

  Illinois. I mean they were favored on the

  road True Rd. game at Miami. I thought that was a little

  much. So watched all of Ohio State,

  watched 1/4 of Notre Dame, Miami and then I want to get to this

  is Monday. I don't watch any of I'm just
• 10:33
  being honest with you folks. Didn't watch any of North
• 10:35
  Carolina TCU, but obviously TCU crushes Chapel Bill and Bill
• 10:41
  Belichick in North Carolina in his debut.

  Everybody's going nuts and you got the girlfriend and all that.

  And I do think it's just such a hilarious story to me, Bill
• 10:52
  Belichick and his girlfriend. It's such a hilarious story.

  And we all know if you're a rich dude, successful dude, you got
• 11:00
  money, you got Super Bowls and all that.

  We know you're going to get younger women, right?

  I just, I find it so funny and I wonder when did Bill Belichick

  actually think he could score a lady that much younger, You

  know, whatever he is. Is he 73?

  She's 24. I don't even know the exact

  numbers, but it's, it's a, it's an insane age gap.

  I just find it hilarious. And if they met on a plane a

  couple years ago, whatever it was again, if Bill Belichick's

  in his 70s money, power, Super Bowls, he knows he's going to be

  able to get any. OK, 52 year old woman, sure. 46

  year old divorcee, all good. But like when that woman sat

  down next to him, did Bill really think he had a chance?

  Like, OK again, 38 year old what's what's the old?

  The old adages. You take the person's number,

  I believe so if Bill Belichick, I don't even know what he is.

  chance with this, with this girl who's basically 50 years younger

  than me. I just, I find I find the whole

  story hilarious. I will literally just be sitting

  around and I'll just think of that every once in a while and I

  just laugh. And you see her gorgeous.

  that. Hey, and, and I've seen the meme

  before. You show an old dude with a
