- 2:10About the Twizzler straight up the nostrils to the face.
- 2:13This is good, man. I mean, come on, man.
- 2:15I mean, it looks good. It looks edible.
- 2:17It's definitely good. By the way, it's very twisty in
- 2:20my nose and it's getting into my nose hair.
- 2:22Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, he's been waiting carefully.
- 2:26We are now talking to executive producer of the Roommates Show,
- 2:29Cam Smith. Cam, what's up, buddy?
- 2:32What's going on fellas? How we doing?
- 2:34We're good. Y'all had me laughing a little
- 2:36bit earlier. I thought I might see some
- 2:37flames. You know, I might not know the
- 2:39source of the flames, but on my intro I heard that, you know,
- 2:42we're going to be lighting some fires coming in.
- 2:43I'm going to do it. And by the way, anybody that's
- 2:46going to tune in, it's going to be in the next week or so.
- 2:48I'm going to get a nice lighter and I'm going to light it on
- 2:53fire. I'm going to see if I can
- 2:54actually do it. I've never done it before, so
- 2:56this is the first time for me. And on live radio, you're going
- 2:59to get a chance to see a flame come out of my ass.
- 3:02Anyways, Cam, there's a lot of flames from this this basketball
- 3:05series. It's kind of making me sick.
- 3:08The Knicks have been playing really.
- 3:10Yeah, a lot of heat. Thank God it's not the Miami
- 3:12Heat cuz then it'll really be heated.
- 3:15But nevertheless, there's a team called the Indiana Pacers that
- 3:19are young, they're sensational, they're fast and they play a
- 3:22great time style of basketball. What were your thoughts going
- 3:26into the series? What was Jalen Brunson and Josh
- 3:28Hart's thoughts are going into the series against this young
- 3:31Pacers team? Yeah, the thoughts going into
- 3:34the series, I mean, coming in with a lot of confidence, I feel
- 3:37like you knock off the defending champs, you know, make it
- 3:40further than you you have or get to the same point you were 25
- 3:43years ago. You know, you you definitely
- 3:45come into with a lot of confidence.
- 3:47The Pacers, they they their strengths, I think at some
- 3:50points can be the with Knicks weaknesses and vice versa,
- 3:54right. So it looked like they were
- 3:55going to come in, still try to establish the identity they
- 3:58have, which is, you know, the leadership of Brunson, you know,
- 4:01kind of his intelligence, his pace, right.
- 4:04They don't want to try to get in a running match with them,
- 4:06right? They the rotation is already
- 4:09their rotation is already tight, right, But they they do believe
- 4:13in the starters that they have. And I think you've seen even
- 4:16deuce McBride come alive in the playoffs.
- 4:17You see McHale have big games on offense and defense OG as well
- 4:22Mitchell Robinson, who'd been injured for so long and then
- 4:25finally coming back to the roster and being able to
- 4:27contribute immediately. Celtics tried hack a Mitch.
- 4:31Pacers have tried hack a Mitch. It doesn't seem to be a problem
- 4:34right now with how he contributes.
- 4:35But you're not going to beat them with just your your
- 4:38starters right. So definitely need contributions
- 4:40from the bench. And I think when the Knicks got
- 4:42that win in Game 3, we saw more contributors, guys getting
- 4:47longer breaks like Brunson and Hart, and they're able to come
- 4:50back in fresher for the fourth quarter and make those type of
- 4:52comebacks. So yeah, what are your thoughts
- 4:54on the overall changes in the rotation we've seen the last two
- 4:56games and obviously pressures that you are getting is first
- 4:59minutes tonight for the first time in a while.
- 5:01Like how would you do it if you were tips going forward?
- 5:03What do you keep it like game three?
- 5:04Would you keep it like tonight? Is there a method that you would
- 5:07have if you were coaching? Oh man, that's a tough question.
- 5:10I do give credit to tips. He's done an amazing job.
- 5:12He's like revitalize the Knicks right now.
- 5:15For as long as I've been alive, they haven't been, you know,
- 5:18this competitive other than maybe with single season with
- 5:21mellow. But to make deep runs in the
- 5:22playoffs like this comeback wins, right, 320 point comeback
- 5:27wins as something that I really have not seen in the playoffs.
- 5:30So give credit to his strategy. But for me, yeah, I'm running,
- 5:33rocking with the same thing that got me the dub in game three.
- 5:35You know, I'm opening up the bench.
- 5:38The things that I've seen in the first half, the lawn, right
- 5:41appearance. I saw the lawn right corner
- 5:42three. Love to see that.
- 5:44Love to see some hustle plays that I've been seeing from
- 5:46others. Healthy dose of Mitch, right?
- 5:49Also, foul trouble has been huge, right?
- 5:51Trying to keep the starters out of foul trouble.
- 5:53Cat Brunson. There's been, there's been a few
- 5:56wack calls, but you know, you get those, they break either
- 5:59way. Sometimes you get them,
- 6:00sometimes they bounce your way. But I like to see their rotation
- 6:04giving people a new burst of energy.
- 6:05The Pacers, they're throwing guys at you.
- 6:07They're pressing you the whole game.
- 6:08You got to offset that somehow. It's going to be tough.
- 6:11It does going to wear. It's going to wear on you.
- 6:12Even though Brunson's in great shape, heart's in great shape.
- 6:14All the starters that have played huge minutes throughout
- 6:17the year, they're in great shape.
- 6:18But you know, having someone pressing you and in your face
- 6:21and you having to bring the ball up against pressure, it
- 6:22definitely does wear on your legs when you need those fourth
- 6:25quarter threes to go in. Yeah, Cam, like what would talk
- 6:29a little bit about because we've seen obviously the falter being
- 6:31a big thing, but I think a lot of it's been in transition and
- 6:34too, especially when they're switching on the perimeter and
- 6:36you get got Mitch and cat on the perimeter where they get beat,
- 6:40they get blown by and then frustration and you and you get
- 6:43a cheap foul. I'd love to see him more in the
- 6:45block to to be able. I mean, Mitchell only had six
- 6:48rebounds. He's he should be a double,
- 6:50double guy and but when he's having to guard on the perimeter
- 6:53and and almost in a wing capacity, do do you think you
- 6:56always switch on everything or or keep them closer to the
- 6:58basket? I think you switched mostly.
- 7:01It's interesting. I would love to see, I think
- 7:04good players like Halliburton, right, who's All Star caliber,
- 7:07even Siakam who's been a three time All Star.
- 7:09They can kind of key in on those switches in the pick and rolls
- 7:12if you give them the same look all night.
- 7:14I'm not saying like you blitz or double the ball screen, but I
- 7:16would like to see them. You know, the Pacers players
- 7:18have been doing a good job of fighting over the screens and
- 7:21even Brunson, one of the, you know, pick and roll masters that
- 7:23we have in the game. So if we wanted to come out of
- 7:26an after timeout and just like try to fight through right, man
- 7:30on man, this is what we want to see in the playoffs.
- 7:32Stay your own and give them a different look that way.
- 7:35I think that would be great. I've seen a little bit of it.
- 7:38Sometimes, you know, you just got to make adjustments on the
- 7:40fly. People do end up staying on
- 7:42their own, but they do go with mostly switching and I think
- 7:44adding Robinson to the lineup or adding him to the starting
- 7:49lineup could be beneficial. They they brought him in so he
- 7:53can really try to stay under the basket a little bit more and
- 7:56kind of have those other four guys playing on the perimeter
- 7:59and switching with each other. I will say this, I, I, I am
- 8:02eating this Twizzler. It was in my nose and it's
- 8:04delicious. And, you know, I just, I can't
- 8:07breathe. I, I can't finish this interview
- 8:10having a Twizzler in my nose. So I had to, you know, touch it.
- 8:13I'm going to finish it up. It's good you didn't have the
- 8:15the bull nose ring going. I did.
- 8:17Look, you want me to stick the rest of this in my nose?
- 8:19Let's see if I can get it in my nose here.
- 8:21Now it's a shorter bull nose. Ring.
- 8:22There it is, there it. Is I don't know, it could be one
- 8:25of those old school dorms. I look like a clown, you know I
- 8:27look like a clown. Stick it right over here.
- 8:29Anyways, we are talking to executive producer of The
- 8:32Roommates Show, Cam Smith. Now, obviously you work with
- 8:36Jalen Bronson and Josh Hart. They're different personalities.
- 8:39Tell us a little bit about both. Of these guys.
- 8:42What type? Of personality.
- 8:43Is Josh Hart 1st and then obviously his Co host and Jalen
- 8:48Bronson? What type of personality is him,
- 8:50he and how? How does this work?
- 8:53Absolutely. With heart, what you see is what
- 8:55you get for sure. You see the post game
- 8:57interviews, right? And you know that there's, you
- 8:58know, he has an air of joking to him, right?
- 9:03He likes to be the person that brings levity and stuff to the
- 9:06team. You see him on the court, it's
- 9:08like a flip switch. You know, he's the ultimate
- 9:09competitor. He's one of those guys that can
- 9:11run through a brick wall. But yeah, it's amazing to to be
- 9:15in a podcast setting with him and just see how his mind works.
- 9:18These guys are at the top of the game and really top of the craft
- 9:21for basketball. So to get the best of both
- 9:24sides, at least with the comedy and friendship they have, has
- 9:27been a treat to watch. But then also hear them talk
- 9:30hoops and get serious, right? Because we know that they're
- 9:32they're top competitors. It's really cool to hear the
- 9:35back and forth that they have, especially when they're roasting
- 9:37each other about not playing defense or missed assignments,
- 9:40talking about Coach Tibbs, you know, going over to his house
- 9:43for dinner and different things like that that you don't really
- 9:45get to see from traditional media.
- 9:47As as we noted in the past, Brunson for sure.
- 9:50We know for heart as the jokester.
- 9:52But Brunson I think maybe even funnier.
- 9:55You just don't see it as much or behind closed doors.
- 9:57The jokes he's letting off are hilarious.
- 9:59Tom Thibodeau, a pot roast guy, Because he kind of looks like
- 10:02it. We could be pot roast, you know
- 10:05what if I had to, if I had to pick, you know, just because
- 10:08tips came on the show, He's an interviewer.
- 10:10I would say that. He needs to get his hair.
- 10:12He needs to shave his head. I mean, come on, Java's favorite
- 10:14hair? I mean his hair.
- 10:15Bro his. No, you got to keep it.
- 10:17It's a signature. Look, now you got a rocket.
- 10:19I mean. It's it's signature now.
- 10:21We need. We need.
- 10:22To look, you got Doc Rivers, man.
- 10:24He's hanging on, folks. Are hanging on Errol's favorite?
- 10:26Coach, I can't stand. Doc Rivers.
- 10:28Oh my God, I can't stand. And Doc was a good basketball
- 10:32player, but as a head coach, you know what?
- 10:34What is the love fest for this guy?
- 10:35He he won 1 championship and Tom Thibodeau was his defensive guy.
- 10:40The reason why Garnett and Paul Pierce and Rondo and that team
- 10:44was a great defensive team was Stibs.
- 10:46It had nothing to do with Doc Rivers.
- 10:48Doc Rivers hasn't come close to the finals since that
- 10:50championship. Why does everybody love?
- 10:52This step, brother, you're going to be dealing with Doc Rivers to
- 10:55the end of time. You know, once you get that
- 10:56championship, you're grandfathered in, baby.
- 10:58You're good for life. That could be your coaching.
- 11:01That's your tenure. You better not say that's going
- 11:04to be my coach. I don't want Doc Rivers.
- 11:06I'll take Tom Thibodeau in a heartbeat over Doc Rivers.
- 11:09I don't know what listen, his son and I'll say this.
- 11:13I just speaking the truth. I'm a Duke Blue Devil fan.
- 11:16And if anybody doesn't? Know.
- 11:18Oh no, let me Where's the Leaf Studio button?
- 11:22Austin Rivers played for the Duke Blue Devils, did he not
- 11:24100%? OK, yeah, so I watched the
- 11:27iconic shots. Boy, but that that Duke team was
- 11:30one of the worst teams. I I got a chance to watch OK,
- 11:33and why? Because I got the chance to see
- 11:35Doc Rivers on the sidelines coaching instead of coach K.
- 11:38So I'm just not a Doc Rivers fan, but Austin was a cool guy.
- 11:42I met him at one of the events Seems like a cool guy.
- 11:44He does say stupid things off air.
- 11:46He he definitely does. So I'm just I'm just speaking
- 11:48the truth. You probably have good friends
- 11:49with him. So I'm going to kind of go off
- 11:51target over here. I want to get myself into
- 11:53trouble and maybe I I do want to get myself into trouble, but
- 11:55nevertheless, I I do think it's pretty cool to watch two guys, 2
- 11:59personalities go on a show and actually bring their
- 12:02personalities out away from the basketball hoop.
- 12:05When you got a guy like Jaylen Bronson who seems like a calm,
- 12:08collective and quiet person when he goes on that radio show, I
- 12:12think he's just a completely different person.
- 12:14I think Josh kind of brings out the presence of the personality
- 12:18and completely changes Jaylen Bronson and his personality.
- 12:22When he brings up a story from villain over, it brings up a
- 12:24story on a basketball court or practice.
- 12:27I got a chance to check out his show, their show when it first
- 12:30came out and I was like what, you know, I'm a big fan.
- 12:33I'm a big fan of Josh Hart. When when the Knicks traded for
- 12:36Josh Hart, I was excited. So was Jalen Brunson.
- 12:39Jalen Brunson was I, I forget where he was, but he was at an
- 12:42event and he came out. He found out that on Twitter
- 12:45that Josh Hart was traded to the New York Knicks and he was
- 12:48excited. But the one thing that I I
- 12:51really like about Josh Hart is just his heart on a basketball
- 12:55court. He goes out there, he puts it
- 12:56all on the line, and I see that on the radio show.
- 12:59What now? What type of personality or fair
- 13:02when you're not recording? Do they play practical jokes on
- 13:04each other? Do they do anything that you
- 13:06don't get a chance to see on the camera?
- 13:10We try our best to keep it, you know, you know, if these guys
- 13:13are going off on a funny tangent or they're they're roasting each
- 13:15other about the Eagles score versus the Commanders, which
- 13:18Josh is a Commander's fan, which, you know, I don't think
- 13:21any of us could stand. But you know, he is from the
- 13:24Maryland DMV area. But we'll so we'll let him rock.
- 13:27But I'm trying to think of practical jokes.
- 13:30Practical. Have they ever?
- 13:32Recently, Josh. Have they ever played a
- 13:33practical joke on you? Oh, yeah, absolutely.
- 13:37So it's funny, like we get into these roasting sessions all the
- 13:40time. If someone cracks a joke and,
- 13:41and, you know, kind of our studio audience, our folks work
- 13:44in the podcast laugh too loud. Jalen's turning on them and he's
- 13:47just like, who? All right, who's laughing too
- 13:49loud over there? So it's, it's, it's firing
- 13:52either way. I'd say practical jokes on me.
- 13:55We we do like to make bets, you know, you know, should something
- 14:00happen or say the guys, they, they like to play college
- 14:03football NCAA, right? They're, they're constantly
- 14:05betting on that or they're betting on if they were right
- 14:08about a certain sports fact, right.
- 14:10If I get in there, you know, we'll make bets and and
- 14:12different things like that. So we'd like to keep it
- 14:14competitive. Those two guys are they love to
- 14:17have a good time, but they're Uber competitive.
- 14:20You know, I've come on the show and made some appearances.
- 14:22We've played some kind of like different trivia games and stuff
- 14:24before too. So it's it's been nice being
- 14:27able to get to get to know them and, you know, see that
- 14:29competitive side of them, see the friendship.
- 14:32It really is crazy to think of a professional sports situation
- 14:35where you're next to two of your college teammates who you won a
- 14:38championship with. So very rare situation.
- 14:42Your dad is also an assistant coach if you're Jalen.
- 14:44So it really has been kind of like a family affair.
- 14:47And to get an inside look at that is really cool.
- 14:50So I want to ask about your best fun fact you heard about both
- 14:55players, both Josh Hart and Jalen Bronson, that you've heard
- 14:57on the show. I am surprised, not really
- 15:02surprised, but Jalen is a very big Dragon Ball Z fan.
- 15:06So for the for the anime and then it could be a little bit of
- 15:09watered down anime, but you know, kind of popularized anime.
- 15:12He loves him some Dragon Ball Z, which I was a big fan of too
- 15:15growing up. Come back to me.
- 15:18I could think of a better fun fact, but a lot of people don't
- 15:21know this about heart, but he's actually an Eagle Scout from
- 15:24when he was he was growing up. That means you get every single
- 15:27badge Boy Scouts. And it's kind of like a
- 15:31testament to his character and like Will not to give up.
- 15:35He said that he wanted to quit very many times, but his pops
- 15:37wouldn't let him. He was just he was not going to
- 15:40be that kid that that starts something it does not finish.
- 15:43And he's kind of taking that lesson to him.
- 15:45He said a few times just throughout life and it kind of
- 15:48shows in his play in the NBA, right?
- 15:50This is a guy right? Been traded multiple times and
- 15:54now playing his best basketball in year like 7 or 8 going in
- 15:59deeper playoff runs than he ever has before.
- 16:01So definitely hats off and admire that quality about him,
- 16:05that he's just going to be someone that just outworks you.
- 16:07Who's picking up the tab? That's what I want to know.
- 16:10Who's picking up the tab? They've they've said so before
- 16:12that, but the Josh is the best tipper.
- 16:15And we also have a Co host Matt Hillman, right, who grew up with
- 16:17Josh and is his high school teammate.
- 16:21He's been great, you know, being able to ask the questions that
- 16:24the fans want to hear on camera and everyone attests it's it's
- 16:28without a doubt that Josh is going to be the best tipper.
- 16:30He's going to pick up that tab. JB took that pay cut, you know
- 16:33what I mean? So I think he.
- 16:35You know. We'll wait for him to resign
- 16:37before we we're asking or you know.
- 16:38Look, giving them that. Are you kidding me?
- 16:40He he's got the, he's got that Gator arm, just can't quite get
- 16:44in there. We'll give it to him, you know,
- 16:47we'll use that arm for buckets, like, hey, you know, what?
- 16:49Do you got this? One, do you get 160 million?
- 16:51I mean, I'd like that pay cut too, you know, I mean, give me a
- 16:54million, I'll be pretty happy with that.
- 16:56I mean, Java made a couple million.
- 16:57I mean, he was a professional athlete, so why?
- 16:59Why couldn't? Why?
- 17:01Couldn't any of us would take that because.
- 17:03You know camo, how much are they paying you?
- 17:05I'll be your roadie. Are they paying you some big
- 17:09bucks? Are they tipping?
- 17:10You can we get the NDA's in the chat, we'll get that signed, you
- 17:13know, you'll know that total salary.
- 17:15Harold attends the the bull riding of vetted Vasta Square
- 17:17Garden. Maybe you can get $150 million
- 17:19to to ride one of those with a Twizzler and it's.
- 17:22No. So you guys know, I actually
- 17:24went back-to-back years to the Bull Riding Championship and I
- 17:28got a chance to be on stage and get a chance to talk to some of
- 17:31the best bull riders in the world.
- 17:34And I'm going to tell you right now that is one of the fun
- 17:37events you could ever go to because you're right in front of
- 17:40like a 5 ton bowl and these guys are trying to ride it and they
- 17:44get caught under the bowl and they get a throat around like a,
- 17:47you know, a towel, you know, from, from this big huge bowl.
- 17:50It's so freaking cool. And you get a chance to really
- 17:53experience it up and close and personal at Madison Square
- 17:55Garden. And it's something that you'll
- 17:57definitely love to go and check out and your kids bring your
- 18:00kids to go and check out. Kim Hey, we we better.
- 18:02American whiskey. We better.
- 18:04It's like 10 years. What would you say, Kim?
- 18:07It is. One of my restaurants, we've
- 18:10been the sponsor for him. Kim now speaking about bulls, I
- 18:13mean, if you had somebody that could ride on top of you, who
- 18:16would it be, Jabba, me or Speedy?
- 18:19Come on, wait a minute. You.
- 18:21Can volunteer Nathan too? I'm sorry guys, that's a bad,
- 18:25that's a bad three quarter. Come on, you could.
- 18:30With all due respect to. You you could do a write in vote
- 18:32of the it's the nightmare rotation all.
- 18:35You want on that one? It was probably if Jabba jumped
- 18:39on your back, you'd probably be crushed anyway.
- 18:44I'm about. I'm about 225 now.
- 18:47Really. You're 225.
- 18:48Really. Yeah.
- 18:49Look at you, man. You lost some weight.
- 18:51You're. Doing good good that's within
- 18:53squat range but I don't know if this is the situation.
- 18:55I'm 2. 20 so. Ken, we'll let you write a NIF.
- 18:58If you prefer, is that 100 million if 100?
- 19:01Million. I'll probably do it.
- 19:02I'd like 100 million if I ever want to.
- 19:05If I ever, you know, obviously earned $100 million.
- 19:08Well, you know what I would do? I would give $1,000,000 to all
- 19:11my friends in my family. That's what I would do.
- 19:13First thing I would to is give every one of my friends and my
- 19:16family $1,000,000. That's pretty fair.
- 19:18By the way, we are talking executive producer from the
- 19:21Roommates show, obviously Jalen Bronson, Josh Hart, Cam Smith,
- 19:26executive producer. Very cool to have him on the
- 19:29show. I know he's pretty busy.
- 19:31I know he's watching this cruddy basketball game and hopefully
- 19:34the Knicks pull it out in the fourth quarter like they they've
- 19:36been doing. But this is typical New York
- 19:39Knick fashion. They fall behind and then they
- 19:41have to play catch up in the fourth quarter.
- 19:43You. Got them where we want them.
- 19:44Is that what you is that? Is that the?
- 19:46Game plan. The fourth quarter team.
- 19:47Is, is that the game plan or is that the conversations?
- 19:50Do you text obviously Jalen Bronson, Josh Hart during the
- 19:53game and at the end of the game they actually reach out to you
- 19:55and say, yo, that was the game plan.
- 19:57That was the game plan, Cam. That was what we were planning
- 20:00to do. I could try.
- 20:01I'm not getting the text back during the game or on game day.
- 20:04Those guys are all business. I respect that part about them
- 20:08that they don't handle business or kind of outside stuff other
- 20:10than the game on game day. So I love that.
- 20:13But yeah, yeah, when I talk, they are they everyone always
- 20:16knows what what what's going on. These guys are champion.
- 20:18Now I got AI. Got a question.
- 20:20You've had Dante Divicenzo on your show.
- 20:22You've met Mikhail Bridges on your show.
- 20:25These all times all four guys have played on Villanova, win a
- 20:30national championship, actually 2 national championships.
- 20:33What is it like what? What kind of personalities when
- 20:36when those two guys are on a show, how do they bring out the
- 20:39personalities of Josh Hart and obviously Jalen Brunson?
- 20:43Absolutely. You know, kind of with our set
- 20:44design, some of the Pennant flags and different stuff we
- 20:47have in the background, when you get these guys together, it's
- 20:49just like you're stepping into like their college dorm room and
- 20:52it's like no time has passed since Nova.
- 20:54These guys are joking on each other, you know, telling those
- 20:56unstool untold stories that the fans and stuff love to hear.
- 21:01But yeah, the personalities is great.
- 21:02And it's like it's kind of like each person has their you could
- 21:05see them kind of slip into those different roles, like kind of
- 21:08like the like The Avengers, if you wanted to give people a
- 21:10role, you know, Brunson will be your Captain America, right?
- 21:13And then you you kind of got heart, which is this is your
- 21:15wild card. But yeah, I could see Dante,
- 21:19right? He's kind of like that.
- 21:21He's got that quiet leader quality to him, right.
- 21:23He definitely doesn't take any stuff.
- 21:25He he's talked about getting into fights with with heart in
- 21:27the in the weight room and stuff at Villanova.
- 21:30And he was someone I really loved the heart that he played
- 21:33with last year in the playoffs. One specific instance was that
- 21:38game seven against the Pacers, right where team is hobbled,
- 21:42right? A lot of folks are out.
- 21:43OG was trying to play, probably could only give 5 minutes on
- 21:46that hamstring, limping around and Dante ends up 39 points just
- 21:50pouring his heart out. So that's the kind of character
- 21:52and stuff that he had. McHale also a funny jokester as
- 21:55well. You have a chance to sit with
- 21:57Bronson Hart or McHale Bridges and interview him.
- 22:01Who would it be and why? Luckily I had the chance to like
- 22:05talk to like all of them and get to know their personalities
- 22:08right. So man, it is tough to tough to
- 22:11choose, but I feel like Dante is the more quiet of the four right
- 22:17of the of heart. You know all the all the Nova
- 22:19Knicks or Nova Knicks past. So I would like to know a little
- 22:23bit more about kind of like his mentality, how he gets up for
- 22:26games. He has a ton of confidence.
- 22:27He's one of those kind of like shooters that I admire that have
- 22:30that that Curry quality where it's always the next ones going
- 22:33in, right? And you know, he can have no
- 22:35conscience at times. And when he's come up big for
- 22:37the Knicks and you see him now, I think he had 21 points last
- 22:41game for the for the T Wolves, you know, even after a shooting
- 22:45slump, right? So I would like to get to know a
- 22:47little bit more of his mindset. I know he's a chill guy, right?
- 22:52Maybe not too flashy, but here's some of the things he likes to
- 22:54do to to unwind, to get in the right headspace.
- 22:58And, you know, it's interesting hearing things about athletes to
- 23:01kind of like humanize them to kind of like bring them to, you
- 23:05know, a level as just people. But here an athlete's playlist
- 23:08and different things like that. Not even pregame, just what you
- 23:10listen to, to chill like tells you so much about a person.
- 23:14So I want to ask the most most interesting guests and your
- 23:17favorite guests that you've had on since you've joined join the
- 23:20show. Most interesting, We've had an
- 23:23amazing slate, dude, because it's just like we've been really
- 23:26blessed to get folks like Tom Brady and Lil Wayne on the show.
- 23:29I'll be able to pick their brains.
- 23:31I'm a football fan. So like Eli Manning is up there.
- 23:35That was a remote 1. Even musicians being able to
- 23:39have like a a boogie, right? So for the younger rap scene,
- 23:44Fat Joe, I'd say our most interesting 2 most interesting
- 23:48guests, it would be Action Bronson, right?
- 23:51This is someone who was like. A lot of.
- 23:53Weight turned rapper or he's he's killing it in the gym.
- 23:57If you guys ever watch his workouts, he's throwing up big
- 23:59weight and I love to see it like he's got the power lift grind.
- 24:02He did lose a lot of weights. I think he said that he's oh, he
- 24:05does. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:08He's he's doing good things in the weight room, man.
- 24:10So I, I love that, love the weight loss journey.
- 24:15I would say Action Bronson definitely has a super unique
- 24:18personality. Hilarious.
- 24:20Keegan Michael Key is up there, but someone you'd never know
- 24:24what they're going to say next would be Ocho Ocho Cinco.
- 24:28Not surprised. Not surprised I.
- 24:30Mean yeah, you guys know him well so.
- 24:32Like I actually met The funny thing about Ocho Cinco.
- 24:35I met him when I was in Miami. I was on the boardwalk.
- 24:38I was having a mimosa and a funny story is is me and my
- 24:41friend. I actually had a chance on that
- 24:43trip to interview Dwyane Wade, Cuba Gunney Junior.
- 24:46He was on that. He did.
- 24:47They did that OJ, you know, that OJ series.
- 24:51So I got a chance to meet him. He was partying.
- 24:52They were doing their final, the final taping over there.
- 24:55So I got a chance to hang out with him, Floyd Mayweather.
- 24:58But Ocho Cinco, we were, it was the morning time, we were just
- 25:01hanging out at this place and we're having a mimosa and this
- 25:03guy is running on the boardwalk. And I was like, yo, that's Chad
- 25:06Johnson. And then he sits down like 2
- 25:09tables away from us and I'm like, I, I told my friend Justin
- 25:12I was like, I'm just going to go over there and sit next to him
- 25:14and have a conversation with him.
- 25:15Sat with him and he looked at me for a second.
- 25:17He thought I had like 6 heads while he's sitting here.
- 25:19And then I get into a conversation with him and he, he
- 25:22just the guy does when he speaks weeks, he doesn't stop.
- 25:26He just, and he goes on and on and on.
- 25:29And then he says, I got to, I got to finish my run, but I got
- 25:32I got a date. I got a big date later.
- 25:34So I was that was the last time, but that was the first time I
- 25:37met Ocho Cinco. So and that was when he just
- 25:40changed his name to Ocho Cinco. I think, I think it was.
- 25:43But anyways, he's an. Interesting.
- 25:44Dude, I knew that that was a big headline.
- 25:46Yeah. He's kind of got that quality
- 25:47about him where he's just like, you could tell he's the guy that
- 25:49oozes confidence like, you know, most top athletes are.
- 25:52But he's just like, he's more soft spoken that than I
- 25:55imagined, you know, kind of talks a little bit, you know,
- 25:57quietly, a little bit more reserved.
- 25:59And then he'll say something outlandish.
- 26:00You'll be like, what? How does your brain even come to
- 26:04this? Are you a Yankee fan?
- 26:06Are you a Yankee fan? Yeah, rock with the Yankees.
- 26:08I wouldn't say I'm too much of a baseball fan, but you see, I got
- 26:11the Yankee blue on. Right now I see it.
- 26:12I see it. So you got a chance to see Jabba
- 26:15what? What were your thoughts to Jabba
- 26:16Chamberlain as a Yankee fan when he he helped win a World Series
- 26:20in 2009? So I wouldn't say I would be
- 26:25tapped. No, no, no.
- 26:27I wasn't tapped into baseball too much at that point.
- 26:30But yeah, I did see the championship run.
- 26:33I mean, to be to get to that level and have that, you know,
- 26:38it's kind of like a dream. When you set out Jabba, what age
- 26:40did you start? Would you start playing
- 26:41baseball? I know you were a pitcher.
- 26:43Right, I was. I was 3.
- 26:45But 3-3 years old, right? Because I'm I'm former pro
- 26:48Hooper. Played one year in Ireland
- 26:50before I was just like, I kind of wanted to switch careers and
- 26:55kind of focus on like a secondary dream of of content,
- 26:58right. So I kind of know what it's like
- 26:59definitely not to be at that level to be at the the World
- 27:02Series, but just to be in the locker room and kind of get that
- 27:05understanding of the everyday grind that it takes to get there
- 27:08and how long and how early these guys start and how competitive
- 27:12it is to get to that top level. But yeah, that, that that really
- 27:16is like the athlete's dream. You know, you, you start at
- 27:19three years old, you're imagining yourself in the yard,
- 27:21right? Like at at three-year and not
- 27:24even at three years old, but just your whole life, you know,
- 27:26imagine that this is the World Series, right?
- 27:28And this is the the bomb I'm about to hit, you know, or this
- 27:32is the. 1000 times before it happens and you never think
- 27:36you're going to get. There.
- 27:37But oh, I got a follow up question because I heard Mikhail
- 27:40Bridges say this about playing in the NBA Finals.
- 27:43This is just like to get there and the reps that you have to do
- 27:46and the games you have to play are in the thousands.
- 27:49The the hours you have to play are well over the 10,000 hours
- 27:52to even, you know, sniff to be able to get the that level in
- 27:56the postseason as a as a pro. But he was like, when you're
- 27:59there, it just doesn't, you know, you built it up to this
- 28:01and it doesn't feel like it. It doesn't feel like like this
- 28:04is the moment. You know, you're just kind of
- 28:06you're focused on your game plan and it's just like it doesn't
- 28:09feel that different than another than the other games, the other
- 28:12playoff games you've played. Yeah, it's, you know what's
- 28:14weird, it's like once you get done with the regular season,
- 28:18then like that new season starts in that first game.
- 28:21It's kind of the one where you kind of get that.
- 28:24But then as you continue to go through, it's like, OK, it's
- 28:26another series. Like, yeah, it's winter, go home
- 28:29and you know that. But it is interesting because
- 28:32when you get there and and you got to understand, it's, you
- 28:34know, we've played over 200 games because we have 40 in
- 28:37spring training, 162 the regular season.
- 28:39And then we were at like, I think we played fourteen in the
- 28:42postseason. And so you just get to a point
- 28:45where you know, it's like once you once you get into the
- 28:48postseason, you get those all right, here we go.
- 28:51Here we go. But then like I got to the World
- 28:53Series and there was a rule that one of my coaches always said
- 28:56you never, you never touched the foul line unless, and I was
- 29:00fortunate enough to play in the College World Series and, you
- 29:03know, big league World Series. And that was the only time you
- 29:05could ever step on the chalk line is if you made it to the
- 29:08World Series. And it's like those are just
- 29:10like certain things where it like slows you down to bring you
- 29:13into the moment to not let it get too big, because it's like
- 29:16you've put the work in and you know, you're you're one of the
- 29:20last one standings and you're on this roster.
- 29:22You you made an impact and it does it, it kind of like I was
- 29:27pitching in game six. I stepped off the mound and
- 29:29started laughing because everything just slowed down and
- 29:33I'm like, I'm, I'm a 22 year old kid, like living a dream that
- 29:37all these kids want to do in, in every instance.
- 29:40And they asked me about it. I was like, I wanted to take it
- 29:43in like I, I didn't, I didn't have a pitch clock.
- 29:46So I, I, I was able to, to take some time.
- 29:50And so it is true, though, it is true when you get there, it in
- 29:54some it speeds up, some it slows down.
- 29:56But just knowing you got there, it's it's obviously sucks to
- 29:59lose and I've been on both ends of it, but just getting there,
- 30:04knowing the work and everybody thinks like there's an offseason
- 30:08there for an athlete to be what you want to be.
- 30:11You may take a couple weeks, but there's real no true offseason.
- 30:14You're always working on something, whether it's you
- 30:17getting in the playbook, you watching film, like it may not
- 30:20be the physical aspect of it, but the mental side of it too.
- 30:23And I think, you know, that's a lot of I was going to ask you
- 30:27too, from your end and and from, you know, playing a little bit
- 30:30and know what goes into it and being around these guys.
- 30:34Do you think too like some of this?
- 30:36We know social media can be kind of a pain in the ass.
- 30:39But I think on the other hand, with shows like your guys's and
- 30:42ours, I think what it does for the sport, it grows it because
- 30:46you actually get to see their personality of who they are
- 30:49because you only get to see what they do on the court.
- 30:51You don't get to see the jabbing at each other and making fun of
- 30:55each other in the story. So have you seen like how these
- 31:00guys have matured not only on the court, but as as human
- 31:04beings and friends? Just because now the avenue that
- 31:07we have to talk and show who we are as individuals helps grow
- 31:11the game and grow their brand as as a personal type of brand.
- 31:16Yeah, absolutely. That's a great question.
- 31:17I really do think it is a win win for both the fans and the
- 31:20athletes because I feel like, you know, you're pro athletes
- 31:24yourself. You kind of want to have these
- 31:27these conversations, right? Or want to let them
- 31:29multifaceted, like sides of yourself be known to the public,
- 31:33right? That you're not just like an
- 31:36athlete. You could just that only exists
- 31:39when you turn on the TV at 7, right?
- 31:42You have all these interests, right?
- 31:43You have businesses and ideas and things that you want to get
- 31:46out to the world. So it has been really, really
- 31:48beneficial. And I think in these guys case,
- 31:50their success of the Knicks has kind of coincided with, you
- 31:55know, kind of when we have started the podcast, luckily,
- 31:57not saying the two things are related, but hey, you want to
- 32:00draw that conclusion. They've kind of emerged as
- 32:02leaders of the team, right? The Knicks didn't have a team
- 32:05captain right at the time that Brunson joined the team.
- 32:10And this is something that they wanted to to entrust him with
- 32:12because of how he carries himself like on the court.
- 32:16And then, you know, just within the facility, you know, as a
- 32:19leader off the court as well. And you know, how he carries
- 32:23himself and his daily business dealings and things with his
- 32:26family as well. He brings the same kind of
- 32:28leadership to the podcast heart as well.
- 32:33He's someone that is going to ride or die for his teammates.
- 32:36This guy's ride or die for their teammates.
- 32:38They ride or die for Coach Tibbs.
- 32:40They're always backing each other.
- 32:42You know, there's been a lot of criticism and you know what it's
- 32:45like playing in New York, right? You get it from every angle.
- 32:48And the social media, it's interesting, these guys.
- 32:50I know Josh has said he's muted, you know, kind of his timeline
- 32:53sometimes or muted certain words because I know he's big into
- 32:57social media. But I know for sure Jalen sees
- 33:01everything, but he kind of has that mindset or you know, of
- 33:04growing up Rick, that's been a mindset that's been taught that
- 33:06he is going to all the praise, he's going to take it and put it
- 33:09in the basket and go and go ball.
- 33:11All the negativity, he's going to take it, put it in the
- 33:13basketball. So he's going to see it and just
- 33:15treat it the same way, positive or negative.
- 33:17We are talking executive producer of The Roommate Show,
- 33:20Jalen Bronson and the one and only Josh Hart.
- 33:23Cam Smith, before we let you go, we're going to let you.
- 33:25I want you to do save the save your tears with us.
- 33:28You've never done it before. It'll be fun.
- 33:30So we're going to get you in fall before before we do that.
- 33:33OK. How do you know Nathan?
- 33:34How did you meet the one and only Nathan?
- 33:37I mean, he's 5 foot 6. He's a, he's a wonderful, he's a
- 33:41wonderful meeting. Approach you with a leash.
- 33:42I mean by the way. A lot of hot ladies he.
- 33:45Believes that there's a lot of hot ladies out there and by the.
- 33:47Way I'm putting you on a leash now.
- 33:49He wants to put you on a leash. I hope you didn't put you on a
- 33:51leash. He's one of.
- 33:53These they call me the Ladies Man and Mr. Steal Your Girl.
- 33:56He likes to steal girls. I hear Mr. Steel.
- 33:58Your girl. Yeah.
- 33:59Yeah. How did we meet?
- 34:01How did I meet Nathan? How did?
- 34:02You meet Nathan. I think it was online during
- 34:05COVID. I was working for a different
- 34:07unnamed sports media company than Playmaker, but also a good
- 34:11one. I was doing some on camera
- 34:13talent work. Talking Sports actually came on
- 34:15Nathan's show. I got connected to him through
- 34:19one of my college teammates who he went to high school with.
- 34:23So this how I got to meet Nipping.
- 34:25I've been following. Yeah, there you go.
- 34:28The Tim Meadows, The Real Ladies Man A.
- 34:31Lot of hot ladies. Yo, I see the leashes because he
- 34:36got that dog in them. Oh.
- 34:37I got I got one for you ready, ready for this one.
- 34:39I like anal. That's a great one.
- 34:44That's a great sound. How did you let that?
- 34:46How did you let them get a hold of that?
- 34:48I got one for you. My dog wants your Pussycat.
- 34:52No, Nathan actually encouraged that.
- 34:55Two in the pink and one in the stink.
- 34:58Oh, never mind. OK, I see.
- 35:00He's the ringleader. We got to we got to have a chat
- 35:03after this brother. I have no sack.
- 35:07Oh, these are elite sound bites. Wait a minute, is this sound
- 35:09board like a like a MP3 or can I get this?
- 35:12It's like watch, it's like a file.
- 35:14I'm just going to bust this out into the Zoom meeting.
- 35:16I got 1 foot I. Need a gin and tonic?
- 35:21That what a good What was that? I need a gin and tonic.
- 35:25I need a gin and tonic. Oh, a classic G&T.
- 35:28Do you want to jerk me off? If you're ever a gin and.
- 35:30Tonic. That's the think of that.
- 35:32That's the panic order. That's like when you get up
- 35:34there, you're waiting in line, but you weren't paying
- 35:35attention. Maybe you're talking to somebody
- 35:37or something and then you get up there.
- 35:39G and TG. And TI have no woody.
- 35:45Oh, I know that one. Is what?
- 35:47Hold on, Hold on. We got one.
- 35:48Hold on. Here, do you want to jerk me
- 35:50off? No, I do not.
- 35:54How about? This one.
- 35:57Titties. Here.
- 36:00I can't. I don't know some.
- 36:02Of these faces, here it is. It is.
- 36:07There's an explanation about this leash and we're going to do
- 36:10teeth at the bottom. Dog might not be safe for the
- 36:12show. It's a myth a lot.
- 36:13It's like a it's like a folklore, the leash, you know
- 36:16one will ever be able to explain how it's how epic it.
- 36:19Really is. It runs deep, which is
- 36:21hilarious. He's an interesting dude, man.
- 36:24I love Nathan, He's got a great personality.
- 36:26But before we let you go, you got to join us for your first
- 36:30Save your tears. Let's go for it.
- 36:33It is. Let's get.
- 36:34It worldwide. Oh, it wasn't that wasn't the
- 36:36drop. But what's here it is thing that
- 36:39you can't talk to me about my sexual fantasies.
- 36:44Say your sorry this. Is not ideal, but if it's, what
- 36:47means it is not ideal, but if it's just not ideal, but if it?
- 36:50Is what means you can't treble stamp a double stamp, you can't
- 36:53treble stamp a double stamp, Lord, you can't treble stamp a
- 36:55double stamp. But but you guys, now it's time
- 37:01for save your tears, right? And you, Cam, this is the first
- 37:07time for you and we're going to teach you a game that you've
- 37:10never played before. And we're going to see where you
- 37:12land when it comes to percentages.
- 37:15Are you ready? Are you ready to do Savior?
- 37:16Do it all right, ready to play? All right, let's do.
- 37:20It all right, welcome Cam. My name is fish right here.
- 37:22I'm the EP on this show and we have this fun segment that we
- 37:26like to do. It's one of those $15 salary
- 37:28caps and it was for the conference finals.
- 37:31So this these were the guys we could pick from.
- 37:34Basically, I made these based on what the stats looked like and
- 37:38we had, you know, $5 player and Shay Gill, just Alexander over
- 37:41Jalen, Tyrese Halliburton at $3. And then, you know, as you see,
- 37:46guys are a little bit less playing time as you go down, you
- 37:48get $15. We're just curious, you know,
- 37:51this is for games one through 3 of the Eastern and Western
- 37:55Conference finals. And the way that we play is we
- 37:57pick our teams and then the winning team, he gets to get a
- 38:02compliment chorus from everybody that lost, starting with the
- 38:05team who did the worst. And those compliments have to be
- 38:08at least 51% genuine 51. Percent.
- 38:13I like it right, it's majority. It's the majority, we don't
- 38:16always get to 51 but we aim and fold it out of my ass for 51 and
- 38:21tonight we have the big reveal and the winning player is yes,
- 38:29it is going to be our host. Oh my God, I won again.
- 38:35To back. That's two times in the last
- 38:38three Errol had not won until recently.
- 38:40Yo, what's up Kim? So my guy.
- 38:43What's good Nathan? How you doing bro?
- 38:44Nick is on his score as well. Keeping the scores right now.
- 38:48So we see Errol with a 559 big time numbers.
- 38:52You know, Errol, just everybody knows these are big time
- 38:54numbers. Halliburton was probably the
- 38:57right choice. It was only three bucks and had
- 38:59more than Jalen by a few points and only a couple of points less
- 39:02than Shay Gilgeous Alexander at shooting guard.
- 39:05Anthony Edwards was clearly the right choice.
- 39:07Almost everybody took them. If you didn't take them, it was
- 39:09a big mistake by you. Everyone was pretty close to the
- 39:13top with Nee, Smith and Hart really close together.
- 39:16Jaden McDaniels also would. You stick a finger in his ass.
- 39:19Going on, OG had a really great job.
- 39:21I think OG had something like 8 blocks and steals in three games
- 39:26for the Knicks in the first three games, which is what
- 39:28helped get his points up. And if you take a look, Goody
- 39:32almost won, even though Goody's not with us and Goody knows
- 39:35probably I don't know you. Just have to take open top.
- 39:38Basketball and he didn't take OB top and he probably would have
- 39:42won this one even though he doesn't know anything about.
- 39:44Basketball, but Cam according to perspective OB top, it was his
- 39:46first pick for some milk. Out of.
- 39:49Somebody and we're going to start off with the compliment
- 39:51course you get to sit on on this one Cam.
- 39:53Yeah, for sure, for sure. Jabba, Jabba, you had a tough,
- 39:56you had a tough week. You got let down by Lou Dort.
- 39:59Isaiah Hardenstein let us down too.
- 40:02I mean, he left the Knicks and now he destroyed our saviour
- 40:05tears teams. That's 2 bit strikes against
- 40:07him, Jabba. It's time to pay up.
- 40:11We got some compliments for Mr. Errol Marx.
- 40:13Yeah, but first, if so, Cam, if you had 15 bucks, what would
- 40:17have been your team? Oh, that was tough so.
- 40:20Let's go back to that. Yeah, can we pull up the tears
- 40:22again? Yep, right here.
- 40:26It would be hard to go away from SGA.
- 40:28You really can't go wrong with SGA or Anthony Edwards.
- 40:30So I probably would have picked one of those two.
- 40:32I let's say I would just go get gone with SGA for the five.
- 40:36A lot of value Brunson. I mean, yeah, I think I would I
- 40:39would take him with how he's been playing.
- 40:41So that's my 9 right there. Now you get one for you can.
- 40:46Only pick one from each category so you can. 01 for one point.
- 40:49Guard one shooting guard. So it's a little bit tricky,
- 40:54yeah. SGA has been putting up crazy
- 40:57fantasy numbers, but I would rock.
- 40:59I would have rocked with Bronson in this, in this regard, even
- 41:02though Halliburton was the sleeper with the three crazy
- 41:05two. Yeah, I would have picked
- 41:06Anthony Edwards 3 just to get through this.
- 41:11Wow. Nesmith could have been a
- 41:13sleeper, but I probably would have picked the I probably would
- 41:17have picked Jaden McDaniels. I kind of really like what he's,
- 41:21what he's been doing. And he actually.
- 41:23Did really? Well, in that stretch too.
- 41:25So he he was the right pick at that position in this week and
- 41:29then you. So that gives you a dollar.
- 41:31He's at 9 right now. 69 so you got 6 left for your lat for
- 41:35forward and center. 6 For last two, Nazarene, a bit of a good
- 41:43pick, good pick up. But for the I probably would
- 41:47have gone the four and two. I probably would have gone for
- 41:50Hartenstein and Siakam. Yeah.
- 41:53I mean, and that would have been probably a competitive team with
- 41:56everybody. We everyone made a mistake.
- 41:59Matheran was the worst player on this entire board.
- 42:01That was my mistake. But we'll start off with Jabba,
- 42:05with the compliments for Mr. Errol Marx.
- 42:08Yeah, You know what? It's back-to-back weeks you're
- 42:10getting. You're getting better at this.
- 42:12Errol, I'm proud of you. You just, you didn't steal all
- 42:15of Fish's picks. You kind of weren't paying
- 42:18attention and then just kind of just did your thing.
- 42:20So, you know, back-to-back weeks is something to be proud of.
- 42:23So you should, you know, give yourself a pat on the back.
- 42:27I think that's 51%, yeah. Next, who came in the next
- 42:32position? I never heard of the same.
- 42:34Flu Nithin. Mr. Nithin.
- 42:37Pete Alonzo. Is going to accept it.
- 42:39Some compliments for Errol Marx. Go back to Errol's.
- 42:44Room. Oh, you want you want to take a
- 42:45look at the stats? Yeah.
- 42:47No. Oh, we have 5.
- 42:50OK, well, Errol, good job. I love, I love your team.
- 42:54Obviously. Halliburton, Anthony Edwards,
- 42:57Josh Hart. No, no, this is your No.
- 42:59You got Albert and Brunson. No.
- 43:01What do you got? Albert, Anthony.
- 43:03Edwards, Hart. Dammit, Nathan, can you not
- 43:05read? Yeah, all I have to say, great
- 43:10team, man. You killed it once again.
- 43:12There you go. That, that was inspired, that
- 43:17was inspiring. It's my turn next.
- 43:21I I thanked as well Errol, sometimes when we talk about
- 43:26winning, we talk about mindset and mindset is where you won
- 43:31this tournament. This is why you are now the
- 43:33back-to-back savior tears champion.
- 43:36It was the superior mindset. You locked in.
- 43:39You made sure you you got your stretch, you got your early
- 43:42workout, you got your shoot around.
- 43:43Then you were the first one on the court like Kobe, just like
- 43:46Kobe, very similar actually. And then when you made your
- 43:50team, it was like Kobe 2 point O great job.
- 43:55Wow, that's a that's a pretty good compliment.
- 43:57I mean, may rest in peace, but I'm wearing a Carmelo, I'm
- 44:00wearing a Carmelo Anthony jersey.
- 44:02So it's definitely not all about winning on that one.
- 44:07All right, who's next? We got it, Tommy.
- 44:12Tommy's up. All right, well, arrow, man, you
- 44:14just picked an absolutely phenomenal team.
- 44:16I really lucked out with the Nemhart there and, you know, you
- 44:19really know how to pick your squad there.
- 44:21Back-to-back champs like you said as well.
- 44:24And you really, I guess you could say you really blaze
- 44:27through like the great ass blazer you are, you know,
- 44:29because you're the gross sexual action of cream on somebody's
- 44:33face. Well, yeah, there's that.
- 44:38He can clean themselves. Yeah, I think Cam prefers
- 44:42Nitin's drops. How about a bareback?
- 44:49We may have. Would you?
- 44:50Stick a finger on his answer. Drops list at this point.
- 44:54All of Nathan's definitely crack up.
- 44:56I've got one for you. Do you know a rooster is a cock?
- 45:01Tommy, let's let's. Let's go stupid yeah man, you
- 45:06definitely know how to you definitely are getting the hang
- 45:08of this you know it's definitely is becoming a more of a strong
- 45:11suit and yeah this absolutely great win this week looking.
- 45:16You got to put your tongue on something.
- 45:20All right, let's go to Speedy to finish this off because our 2nd
- 45:24and 3rd place guys. Are beg your pardon?
- 45:27If Cox could kill. So yes, our almost most
- 45:32passionate, knowledgeable and stylish Knicks fan that I know
- 45:36definitely served as due by doing the one thing that a lot
- 45:39of our guys did not do is staying away for some other
- 45:42former Knicks. Obviously Goody headlined it
- 45:44with Obie Toppin and I unfortunately with a lot of some
- 45:47other good battles. I got let down by Isaiah
- 45:49Hartenstein. You made you made the great move
- 45:52of not picking any former New York Knicks and end up
- 45:55triumphing because of it. I want you to trim fish.
- 45:58All right, And if you're upset at the results, guys, remember,
- 46:02I can't cry about in this game. You got to save your tears.
- 46:06Save your tears and I'm about to cry because the Knicks are
- 46:09playing like crap. Come on, Knicks.
- 46:11This is starting to make me throw up.
- 46:13I'm watching this the by the way, the referees are we got.
- 46:17Them where we want them. Is that, is that what you're
- 46:19trying to sell to me here, Cam? I mean, I mean, I, I might as
- 46:22well get some more Twizzlers and stick it in my nose.
- 46:25I mean, this is just, this is horrible.
- 46:27We've seen it before, but I guess this is, you know.
- 46:29I mean, this is starting to really make me sick.
- 46:31And by the way, the referees have been on Indiana's side
- 46:34throughout this game. I mean, they're getting every
- 46:36single call in the third quarter and at the obviously throughout
- 46:40this, this last 3-4 minutes of the fourth quarter, they're
- 46:43getting every single call. So I, I don't get it.
- 46:46But again, oh, there it is. Look at that.
- 46:47There you go. That's a nice.
- 46:49That's a nice they. Should never answered my
- 46:50question. Which minor League Baseball team
- 46:51did that come? From Why don't you just cream
- 46:53and get on top? I I have no idea Speedy.
- 46:56I just found the picture and I just thought it was an uncanny
- 46:58likeness. You know, before we let you go,
- 47:00my friend, because you seem like a really cool dude, we got to
- 47:05get you on the show one of these days just to shoot the crap with
- 47:08you, let you join the show. We go into some, you know, some
- 47:11subjects when it comes to sports.
- 47:13How much do you know your football?
- 47:15How much do you know your basketball and your baseball?
- 47:17What? Obviously basketball is your
- 47:19sport, but do you know your football?
- 47:20You know your football. That's the one I came up
- 47:22playing. Definitely watch college stay
- 47:24tapped in with the NFL Baseball baseball.
- 47:27I'm a one out of 10, but we're we're all working, we're
- 47:29getting. All right, so who's your
- 47:30favorite football team? Cowboys, OH.
- 47:34My God, that's why you were nifting I.
- 47:36Knew it. I knew.
- 47:37Yeah. Me and Nathan been locked in.
- 47:38Like that. That's why that's what it is.
- 47:40By the way, I'm the only. Person who was named this year's
- 47:43the year Oh. Yeah, our year it's.
- 47:45Our year to. Do to do what?
- 47:49Wait eight games of the interim coach.
- 47:52I will be fired. I will say this, I I'm a big Dak
- 47:55Prescott supporter. I love Dak Prescott.
- 47:58I've supported everything that's gone on with him over the last
- 48:01couple of years. Very well deserved.
- 48:02I know everybody says a lot. It's a lot of money, but the
- 48:06Cowboys don't realize that now that they added another weapon.
- 48:09If George Pickens could get along with CD Lamb, they've got
- 48:12some weapons, man. And they got a pretty good
- 48:14running back that they drafted. And what was it?
- 48:16Flow Jayden Blue. It was fourth round 5th.
- 48:18Round. Fifth round.
- 48:19So Nexus. Yeah, I think.
- 48:21The guard, too. I like the old lineman they took
- 48:23from Oregon so. Yep.
- 48:26So you you got something set up, man.
- 48:28Why don't we get you on the show, You know, and one of these
- 48:30days we should get all of you guys.
- 48:32We should get Jalen Bronson, we should get Josh Hart, we should
- 48:35get you we should get your partner in crime over there, one
- 48:38of their other boys over there, get McHale Bridges.
- 48:41We should all get us all on the and and actually shoot the crap
- 48:44and talk a little basketball after the season.
- 48:46That would be pretty cool. And hopefully the Knicks are
- 48:49winning a championship and we celebrate and we we like, we get
- 48:53a nice statue of Jalen Brunson and and Josh Hart in front of
- 48:56Madison Square Garden. But it doesn't look good
- 48:58tonight. It really doesn't.
- 49:00But hey, maybe. I got to, I got to check the
- 49:02score again. But yeah, I would.
- 49:03I would honestly love that. We'd love to come back on the
- 49:05show. Absolutely.
- 49:06Get these guys on here. Hopefully they're in the
- 49:08championship hunt. So bring the trophy on the show.
- 49:10Bring the damn trophy. That would be great.
- 49:15You know what we got to do first.
- 49:17But we we got to do like a practical joke on Nathan.
- 49:19I mean, there's something that we got to do to Nathan during
- 49:23the live show, I mean. 13 to one O 1.
- 49:26I got to think. About I'm going to mail a
- 49:28rooster. I'm going to mail a live rooster
- 49:30to his house. What do you think?
- 49:32You think a rooster? I'm going to buy a rooster.
- 49:35Would you ever catch the rooster with your leash?
- 49:37Doing it together. Chicks with Dicks.
- 49:40That, that would be an interesting, you know, animal to
- 49:42have on a leash, Nathan. Could you imagine Nathan Cam?
- 49:45This guy is like all about leashes.
- 49:48And he the interesting thing about Nathan is, is that when we
- 49:52had a conversation about women, I said, what would you, what is
- 49:55it with you and women? He says, well, what I like to do
- 49:58with women is I like to put a leash on them and take them for
- 50:01a walk. That's what he told us.
- 50:04I was like, you do what? And he says I yeah, you know, I
- 50:07put a leash on women. I'm like, dude, if you put a
- 50:10leash on a woman, I'm surprised. You're consensually.
- 50:12Yeah, yeah, breaking. News, ladies.
- 50:19Hey Cam Fish, I don't know if you can pull this up, but can we
- 50:23work on Nathan's fit? Like his outfits are rough.
- 50:27Yo Java. But clothes don't make the man
- 50:31tell them. Wait.
- 50:33The swag is on the inside they. Poof.
- 50:36Bagel hole all. Right, All right, Yeah, that's.
- 50:39Way better. It's solid.
- 50:41It's Little Jake from State Farm.
- 50:44Yum Yum glory hole Cam you could.
- 50:49Call that the the Nith insurance line.
- 50:53Nith Insurance. I've got one for you ready.
- 50:56Breaking news, I got to go back off now.
- 51:00Nith Insurance. All your leashes will be
- 51:02protected. Oh God.
- 51:06Anyways, Cam, we really appreciate you joining us.
- 51:09Let's stay in touch and we'll definitely after the season, we
- 51:12definitely got to talk. We we would love for you to come
- 51:14back on and have a lot of fun with us.
- 51:16So I. Had a lot of fun here today
- 51:18fellas. So that's, that's dope.
- 51:19I appreciate that. Appreciate the invite y'all.
- 51:21There's the fit right there. Yeah, look at the ammo.
- 51:24Look at that. Look at that picture, man.
- 51:26I mean, he's wearing. Is that the same shirt, Nathan?
- 51:28Definitely the same shirt. Yep.
- 51:30Wow, what change that's? Changed the formula.
- 51:34He's got 20 duplicates of the same shirt.
- 51:37That was such a good outfit because I could only see the the
- 51:40upper half of his body like. The only the.
- 51:42Top is visible and like that jacket could be like the
- 51:46invisibility cloak, we don't know.
- 51:48And that, I mean, that's, that's that's real.
- 51:50Like stealthy, yeah, is what I think.
- 51:52He's got the blue blazer. I mean, that's what we call him
- 51:54the blue, the 1st. And I want to I want to give you
- 51:57a shout out Nathan, because I love you.
- 52:00Before I start, when I when I started this show a long, long
- 52:03time ago, Nathan was a big fan of the show.
- 52:05He never, he was never doing media or anything like that.
- 52:08He actually started to watch my show and and kind of became a
- 52:11fan. And then he's like, Oh, I want
- 52:13and we spoke off air and he started to get into the media
- 52:16and, and ever since then, I've watched Nathan grow as a media
- 52:20guy and he's an interesting personality.
- 52:22He's a good kid. He's very kind soul and and the
- 52:25one thing I could say about Nathan, he's a very likable
- 52:27person no matter what. He has got a good heart.
- 52:30So I could see why you guys are Cowboy fans.
- 52:33I don't know why you're Cowboy fans, but I could see why you're
- 52:35Cowboy fans and you have something something connected
- 52:38with each other. Hopefully it's not doing, you
- 52:41know, a little crazy things like.
- 52:44It's a. 10 point game. Let's go three that up.
- 52:48Ridges with the three. Come on.
- 52:50No, let's go. All right, Well, let's hope.
- 52:51Let's maybe ahead of y'all. Yeah, you are.
- 52:54But Cam, we really appreciate the time and we'll definitely
- 52:57talk to you soon, buddy. Thank you for joining us.
- 53:00Thanks for having me y'all. Ladies and gentlemen, the one
- 53:03and only executive producer of The Roommates, The one and only
- 53:07Cam Smith Golf Club. Everybody Golf Club.
- 53:11Give him a Golf Club, yes. Let's go.
- 53:14Let's hope, let's hope the Knicks win this game because I
- 53:16don't want to see them go back to Madison Square gone down 3 to
- 53:191 and playing chasey, chasey, chasey.
- 53:22But I like him. I like him, I like him, I like
- 53:25him, I like him. Thank you, Nathan for giving us
- 53:28a very good guest. And, and he has a great
- 53:30personality and I could see why he works with Jaylen Bronson and
- 53:35Josh Hart because he's, he's, he's open and he, he seems like
- 53:39he's a down to earth dude. So I, I, I like him and, and,
- 53:42and by the way, he joined us for save the tears.
- 53:44So I, I save your tears. So I actually liked it.
- 53:47So what do you guys think? What is the impression of him in
- 53:50the Save Your Tears recap? I, I thought it was great.
- 53:54I, you know, we got to get him on on a time where we're like,
- 53:57we're actually doing it so that like he can like now.
- 54:00Pick OB top at number one overall listen.
- 54:03You know, you know, what's great about Nathan is Nathan, he, he
- 54:06Cam seems like a really cool down to earth guy.
- 54:09And if we, if he can kind of talk to Jalen Brunson and Josh
- 54:12Hart to come on our show, it would be, it would be really,
- 54:15really cool. Speaking of cool, the Oilers
- 54:18blew out the Stars 6 to one in game #3 to take A21 series lead.
- 54:24Both Connor McDavid and Zach Hyman had two goals each, and
- 54:29the Oilers had five different players with two or more points.
- 54:33Goalie Mr. Stewart Skinner has saved 58 out of 59 shots in the
- 54:39series, including the shutout in game #2 the Hurricanes avoid a
- 54:43sweep by beating the Panthers 3 to nothing in game four, their
- 54:48first conference finals win since 2006, the year they won
- 54:52the Stanley Cup. The Panthers outscored the
- 54:54Hurricane 16 to 4 in the 1st three games of the series before
- 54:59game four's loss. the Hurricanes will try to save their season at
- 55:04home for Game 5, where they were undefeated in the postseason up
- 55:10until this series. Well, let's go with the Oilers.
- 55:13I, I'm not surprised the Oilers are here.
- 55:15I'm not. And I, I think the Oilers have
- 55:18the best young coach in hockey. They have the best player in
- 55:20hockey and probably have the second best player in hockey.
- 55:24And if Skinner plays like this, I, I think Edmonton wins to
- 55:27Stanley Cup. I, I'm, I'm just telling you,
- 55:30Connor McDavid is that much better than every single player
- 55:33in the, in any of these series. Okay, He is that great of a
- 55:36player when you compare his skills to Sidney Crosby or
- 55:40Alexander Ovechkin, He's a little bit of Sid and, and a lot
- 55:44of Ovechkin. He could do everything.
- 55:45He's big, he's strong, he's won it.
- 55:47He's the fastest skater in the league.
- 55:49He's won the fasting faster fast skating contest.
- 55:52How many times, 3-4 times? I mean, there's nobody better
- 55:56than Connor McDavid when he's at the top of his game.
- 55:58Team Canada's best player, captain of their team.
- 56:01So it's a great story guys, but I, I want to see them get over
- 56:06the hump. Dallas is probably Dallas and
- 56:08Florida are the two best teams really from the western to east.
- 56:12I would have loved to see Dallas versus Florida and still could
- 56:15happen. But I, I just, there's something
- 56:18about the Oilers over the last couple of years.
- 56:20They just they get to the finals, but they their
- 56:23goaltending is just never good. But Skinner, if he plays like
- 56:25this, I I mean, it's sensational.
- 56:27As far as the Florida Panthers series, it's over. the
- 56:31Hurricanes, Florida Panther series is over. the Hurricanes
- 56:34are trying to breathe and they get a win and it makes it makes
- 56:37the series somewhat better than being swept.
- 56:40But there's no way Florida loses going up 30.
- 56:44I note how many teams have ever done that?
- 56:46I mean, what was it? The Sharks.
- 56:47Did it, The Sharks did it. I think the Flyers did it.
- 56:51That's all I can think of. Two teams.
- 56:52I think it was only two teams that's ever done that.
- 56:54I do not see. I do not see the Hurricanes
- 56:57doing it. They don't have the goaltending
- 56:59and and I expected that in this series with the talent that they
- 57:02have, Brian Marshawn Anning in the, you know, during the trade
- 57:05deadline, getting a healthy Kashuk back and the goaltending
- 57:08that they have. Bob Rodski is probably, you
- 57:11know, obviously one of the most underrated goal tenders we've
- 57:13seen in the NHL and NHL history. This guy's as good as any goalie
- 57:17we've seen. Russian goalie.
- 57:18You talk about Russian goalies being really the dominant force
- 57:21of the NHL over the last couple of years.
- 57:23Well, this guy's been the him and Vasilovski have been the two
- 57:27best Russian goalies. Now you have guys like Sarokin
- 57:30and Starkin. I mean, it's always a good
- 57:33goaltender coming from Russia. So I'm not surprised that the
- 57:36Panthers are going to probably go through the Hurricanes.
- 57:39But I would like to see the Panthers and the Dallas Stars
- 57:42because they think they match up very well against each other.
- 57:45Edmonton, it's either hit or miss.
- 57:47If Skinner shows up and does what he's doing in this series
- 57:49against Dallas, then there's no way Florida beats them.
- 57:53But how do you believe Skinner's going to do it?
- 57:55The back-to-back series. That's the weird part because I
- 57:58it's like he has these two shot 2 almost shut outs in a row that
- 58:01is 58 saves, 59 shots. Then he'll go down where he has
- 58:04a safe percentage under 900 the next game he plays.
- 58:07Then he gets pulled for Calvin Picker who did very well in that
- 58:09first series against the Kings. Remember they were trailing the
- 58:11Kings 2O in that series and I just switched goalies.
- 58:14So they have AI guess a system of trying to make that work and
- 58:16still being able to play with confidence.
- 58:18I mean, we see goalie platoons all the time, but sometimes it's
- 58:20not this quick switch that you see all the time.
- 58:23So you're right, if they keep this up where it's only A1 game
- 58:26hindrance, if Skinner does have one off game and they get his
- 58:28confidence back quickly and that has a lot to do with the
- 58:30coaching, Knobloch deserves a lot of credit for not having
- 58:33Skinner get too rattled by that. He's used to being pulled, I
- 58:35guess, much more confidently. And on the other end, with Jake
- 58:37Ottinger, he's got to find that because we've seen instances
- 58:40where Ottinger's been great and then he'll have a bad game and
- 58:42he gets pulled and then he'll bounce back.
- 58:44So that's what the Dallas is going to need in this series to
- 58:46be able to do that and also stay out of the penalty box too.
- 58:48It's something that hurt them last year when they played in
- 58:50the Eastern in the Western Conference finals.
- 58:52Edmonton was ferocious on the power play.
- 58:54Last year, Dallas was up two to one in that series and Edmonton
- 58:56came back really solely on the power play.
- 58:58And they have already had too much of that in game three.
- 59:00Because besides that, like outplaying him on five on five
- 59:03hockey, a lot of the time Dallas is going to get a ton of shots
- 59:05on goal and they're playing good enough defense.
- 59:07Considering the circumstances. There's no way they should have
- 59:09even lost Game 2 either. Game 2, they outplayed him
- 59:11enough. And yeah, Florida's definitely
- 59:13going to win at this point if they win in five, and it'll be
- 59:15interesting to see because I was talking about it last week, is
- 59:17the rest usually something that hurts A-Team like Florida or
- 59:21Carolina? Carolina rested forever and now
- 59:23they're not really seeing the repercussions.
- 59:24And maybe that happens with Florida if they win it too
- 59:26quickly and the other series goes to 7.
- 59:29Florida is unbelievable. I know they got shut out I and
- 59:33it was 3 nothing. It was, you know, it was 1
- 59:35nothing and a couple of anti net goals and it was just because of
- 59:39a turn. This is a bunch of by the way,
- 59:40I'm sorry to cut you off. This is a bunch of crap.
- 59:42This is a bunch of crap. The referees are calling
- 59:45everything for the Indiana Pacers.
- 59:47Everything. I'm sorry.
- 59:48Towns is down. What happened?
- 59:54I didn't even see it. Looked like he banged knees.
- 59:57He'll get up it. Better freaking get up.
- 1:00:01Not that it's been mattering right now.
- 1:00:03They, I mean, they've got it in close, but.
- 1:00:05They're going to need something to change in their favor.
- 1:00:07But he's not getting up. That's not good.
- 1:00:13Yikes. OK, well that aside, I guess
- 1:00:17we'll talk a little bit about hockey so I don't get really
- 1:00:20depressed. How is that?
- 1:00:21How is that not a foul? How is that on a foul?
- 1:00:25But they won't call it on them. I don't know.
- 1:00:29I know that sometimes you you land and your legs a little too
- 1:00:32straight, you can kind of hyperextend that knee.
- 1:00:35They bang knees. They look like they.
- 1:00:38I mean, if it's a bone, you can get a bone bruise on a knee like
- 1:00:40that real, that hurts, that's painful, but you got to get your
- 1:00:44ass up. You got, I mean, let's go.
- 1:00:47There's 3 minutes left. There's not even 3 minutes left.
- 1:00:49That's just how I feel about it. I hope he's OK.
- 1:00:52I hope he's OK. It's great.
- 1:00:54It looks like a bruise. That's what it looks like.
- 1:00:57You never know what that when that leg, when they land on it
- 1:00:59and there's no bend in the knee, that's when you start seeing
- 1:01:02some of those injuries happen that are like more like men like
- 1:01:06meniscus type things. You know that could get.
- 1:01:08I always worry about a big man. I don't think it was a meniscus.
- 1:01:11I think they bang knees. That's what I look.
- 1:01:12Like freaking better not be a meniscus because that's a
- 1:01:15problem for us here. They they're coming back with a
- 1:01:17replay. It was a knee Smith was driving.
- 1:01:20If anything that fouls on towns for a block.
- 1:01:22I'm glad they didn't call it, but he immediately went for that
- 1:01:24leg like something happened it it.
- 1:01:27Looked like he was. Needing, I think he I think he
- 1:01:29banged his knee and it just hurts like hell.
- 1:01:33It looked like he banged. And they're reviewing what it
- 1:01:35is. I bet they're going to call
- 1:01:36Fallon Towns because he wasn't in position and he's never in
- 1:01:39position. But that's a whole nother story.
- 1:01:42The guy's a little banged up right now.
- 1:01:43Don't want to talk about his bullshit.
- 1:01:46They said a successful challenge.
- 1:01:47I don't. I have it on mute because we got
- 1:01:49the show on. So is it a successful challenge?
- 1:01:51I don't. I don't know.
- 1:01:52I'm not watching. Successful challenge.
- 1:01:55So they're so they're they're going to, they're going to the
- 1:01:57line, so. This game should be a Fallon
- 1:01:59Towns. That's the right call, yeah.
- 1:02:02This game is probably over. So I I don't see the Knicks
- 1:02:05coming back in this game. It's it's just he's.
- 1:02:09He's walking, I'm telling you, he banged his knee.
- 1:02:11He banged his knee. It was knee to knee.
- 1:02:13He's going to be fine. He's going to be fine.
- 1:02:15He's. Staying in the game.
- 1:02:16He's staying in the game. I knew.
- 1:02:17I knew it was knee to knee guys. He's making lots of faces.
- 1:02:21I don't, I don't enjoy the, you know, whatever happened to like,
- 1:02:26I'm just not going to show that I'm in pain or anything like
- 1:02:28that, guys. No, he's in pain.
- 1:02:31He's in pain. He's definitely.
- 1:02:32Like, tough it out. Like, you know, don't exaggerate
- 1:02:34or don't ham it up a little bit. It was neat and neat, that's
- 1:02:37what that's what it looks like. That's that's like funny bone
- 1:02:40when that type of stuff happens, that sucks, but it goes away.
- 1:02:44Well, I'm not very happy about it, but anyways, interesting.
- 1:02:48Edmonton. I think if Edmonton can win this
- 1:02:50series, I wouldn't be surprised if Edmonton wins their first
- 1:02:52Stanley Cup. And like, what was the last time
- 1:02:55they won it? Was it like in the 80s?
- 1:02:57Yeah. 87. Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, I
- 1:03:00remember that was the Mark Messier team.
- 1:03:02So I it's, it's been a long time for Edmonton.
- 1:03:05New ownership, just absolutely bad luck trading away pieces.
- 1:03:10Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier should have finished their
- 1:03:12careers over there in Edmonton and they decided to trade away
- 1:03:15pieces, but unfortunately that never happened.
- 1:03:18But by the way, who won? Who won that?
- 1:03:20It looks like the Knicks won that.
- 1:03:22Now they kept that. I we're behind.
- 1:03:25It I guess the Knicks kept it. I don't know.
- 1:03:27All I know is I don't like what I'm seeing.
- 1:03:32It's still it's still competitive.
- 1:03:34I did want to say something about the the Oilers stars match
- 1:03:37up because you I think it was you Errol is saying about they
- 1:03:40got to get out of the penalty box.
- 1:03:42Might have been you, speedy, but you cannot.
- 1:03:44Last year or two, that was the big problem.
- 1:03:46Against Edmonton, I mean of all teams, you have to do everything
- 1:03:51you can to stay out-of-the-box. Against Edmonton, they are too
- 1:03:55damn good. So as long as you can play like
- 1:03:58have the recipe of you got five on five hockey or maybe you can
- 1:04:02get a couple of advantages and you capitalize and just just
- 1:04:05grind the puck, dump it in cycle and just just out hustle them
- 1:04:10until the game is over. I don't really know how you beat
- 1:04:13them offensively unless you have a team that's as good two way as
- 1:04:17Florida and I think Florida is just unbelievable this year.
- 1:04:21So now, Speedy, you got to tell me, did they do the lightning
- 1:04:25trick with the cap with Kachuk with to add Marsh And yes, where
- 1:04:30they didn't have, they did right.
- 1:04:32So that's something that I don't think is being talked about
- 1:04:34enough in my opinion because they this is a cap trick Errol
- 1:04:38that we saw the lightning use of four, four years ago.
- 1:04:41Vegas did last year too. The same thing when they got
- 1:04:43Hurdle. With the Kucherov, you know, and
- 1:04:45they brought Kucherov back and who had Kucherov had a huge cap
- 1:04:48hit. And since they kept him out of
- 1:04:50the the second-half of the season and brought him back for
- 1:04:53the playoffs, they got to add $8 million or something worth of
- 1:04:57players at the trade deadline and from their minor league
- 1:05:00system, obviously, and then bring him in without any cap
- 1:05:05penalty. So it's like you have like 2
- 1:05:07extra good players on your roster and it's actually super
- 1:05:10beneficial to keep a guy like Kachuk out.
- 1:05:13And a lot of people think Kachuk wasn't hurt as bad as they said
- 1:05:16he was. I think Dallas actually did the
- 1:05:18same thing too because they got a bunch of trade deadline
- 1:05:20acquisitions too. I think they did that with
- 1:05:21Sagan. I'm pretty sure they left him
- 1:05:23out. Towards the end of the season, I
- 1:05:24think you're right. I think you're right about that,
- 1:05:26but it's, that's something that has to come up in the next CBA
- 1:05:31that that's something that they got to fix.
- 1:05:33I, I don't think that's smart the way they're doing it that
- 1:05:35way. You need to be a little bit more
- 1:05:38honest with your systems. And that's just, there's a lot
- 1:05:40of loopholes. I don't think that's what we
- 1:05:42want. And it doesn't look like the
- 1:05:43Knicks are. We're going to come away with
- 1:05:45the Knicks victory tonight either.
- 1:05:47No, I didn't think that was going to happen.
- 1:05:49They're going to have to. They're going to have to be the
- 1:05:5014th team then coming back down 3/1.
- 1:05:53I don't know. I, I don't know how they do it
- 1:05:55because even if they beat him, she says.
- 1:05:56Landry Landry Shamit in on in the game right now with like a
- 1:06:01minute and a half left and. They're down I.
- 1:06:05I just don't understand I, I don't understand the rotation
- 1:06:09and again, the the, the fact that the Knicks.
- 1:06:11Fouled out. Yeah, I, I, I don't understand
- 1:06:14how as a Knick fan you'd actually, they have the last
- 1:06:18three games, they have two of the last three games at home.
- 1:06:21So they're going to have to beat India, they're going to have to
- 1:06:23win three games in a row to beat this Indiana team three games
- 1:06:26in. A row.
- 1:06:27Look, crazier things have happened.
- 1:06:28I think I like their odds in game five at the Garden.
- 1:06:32And then there's a lot of pressure on on Indianapolis in
- 1:06:35Game 6. And I'm sure we'll have plenty
- 1:06:36of time to talk about it, you know, on Thursday's show, that's
- 1:06:40for sure. You know, there's we're going to
- 1:06:42be in the middle of the game on Thursday just like we are right
- 1:06:44now. They just don't, they don't make
- 1:06:46they don't make the right shots. They they play catch up this
- 1:06:51every single game, the every single I don't.
- 1:06:53Think they've shot well tonight. I think it's been particularly
- 1:06:56poor. They just, they don't, they
- 1:06:58don't take over games. They don't play good
- 1:07:00offensively. It's just it's, it's horrible to
- 1:07:03watch, by the way, it's just horrible to watch.
- 1:07:05But that's. Just stats right now in this
- 1:07:07game, the Knicks are shooting. Actually, Knicks are shooting
- 1:07:10halfway decent. They're shooting 40% from three,
- 1:07:13actually, but they're only shooting 46%.
- 1:07:16Pacers shooting 51%, and the Pacers are shooting also 40%
- 1:07:20from 3. So there's the losing foul
- 1:07:23shots. The Knicks have a lot more foul
- 1:07:26shots. They're both hitting.
- 1:07:28Both teams are hitting over 84% of their foul shots.
- 1:07:31So it's just a real two really good offensive teams and the
- 1:07:34Knicks aren't aren't getting enough stops for making enough.
- 1:07:37Alright, I want to talk about it.
