- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katy, and Josh six one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Now Katie is our resident couch potato on the show,
- 0:06Speaker 2: and she's got another Netflix recommendation, but she got our
- 0:10Speaker 2: little potato.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Okay, I do my part, guys, just saying I am
- 0:14Speaker 1: so sucked into this show sixty days in have you
- 0:18Speaker 1: heard of it?
- 0:21Speaker 3: Okay?
- 0:21Speaker 1: So it is essentially regular people who are going undercover
- 0:27Speaker 1: in prison, all right, So they.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Are attend I know, I know that.
- 0:33Speaker 1: So what it is is they're actually attempting to eliminate
- 0:36Speaker 1: like rival gangs, drugs, and corruption within their facilities.
- 0:40Speaker 3: So it is like the cops.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And the sheriffs and the people who are within the
- 0:44Speaker 1: prison system who set all this up and they have
- 0:47Speaker 1: regular normal people spend sixty days in the prison trying
- 0:51Speaker 1: to figure out what's wrong with it so that they
- 0:53Speaker 1: can then correct it. But the part about this that
- 0:57Speaker 1: just like blows my mind are the people who've.
- 1:00Speaker 3: In teer to go in there for sixty days.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Are they like little Mousie, like nerdy guys.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Or you know, immediately I thought it was like, you know,
- 1:09Speaker 1: rich people who have too much money, too much time
- 1:12Speaker 1: on their hands, and they've just run out of thrills, right,
- 1:14Speaker 1: They're like, I'll go into prison for sixty days, it's fine.
- 1:17Speaker 3: But no, it is normal, regular day people. I just
- 1:20Speaker 3: started uching it.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I'm two episodes in and they're focused on this woman
- 1:25Speaker 1: who was a mom of.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Six, and her whole thing is, I'm a mom of six.
- 1:30Speaker 3: I can handle prison. Just wait a minute. I don't
- 1:34Speaker 3: think you know.
- 1:35Speaker 1: What you're getting yourself into. Is this you just trying
- 1:37Speaker 1: to day exactly? I think she's just trying to get
- 1:41Speaker 1: a vacation from her family. I don't think she knows
- 1:44Speaker 1: what she's getting herself into.
- 1:46Speaker 2: But they actually put them, like in the cell, and yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 2: we did.
- 1:50Speaker 3: They're for ten prisoners.
- 1:53Speaker 1: They have a backstory when they go in, Like this
- 1:55Speaker 1: woman who's a mom of six. Her backstory is she
- 1:57Speaker 1: ran over her ex husband and that's why she's president.
- 2:01Speaker 3: So they have a backstory.
- 2:03Speaker 4: They go in, why did she run over it?
- 2:05Speaker 3: No, she did it.
- 2:06Speaker 1: That's just that's her backstory. It's her fake backstory to
- 2:10Speaker 1: go in and be a part of. That's what she
- 2:12Speaker 1: tells all the other inmates.
- 2:14Speaker 3: But they do a strip search, like they're cavity searching hers.
- 2:17Speaker 3: She goes into this thing, so it is no. They
- 2:20Speaker 3: have to do every where.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Do I sign up Netflix? You can go watch it
- 2:24Speaker 1: on Netflix. But they're doing it in no, no where
- 2:27Speaker 1: do I sign up Arizona? So it's in Arizona. So
- 2:30Speaker 1: if you want to be a part of it, yeah,
- 2:32Speaker 1: you just go ahead.
- 2:32Speaker 4: And you look at my Penal County.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Pinal County, Arizona, Pinal County.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I don't know if I'm saying that right, but it's
- 2:39Speaker 1: a e but it's filmed around the clock, so they're
- 2:44Speaker 1: constantly filming these people.
- 2:46Speaker 5: They don't give shame.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Yeah, no, but it is in.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Touch go Touch Cress.
- 2:53Speaker 5: I should sign up for this.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Please? Would you be gone if you did.
- 2:57Speaker 3: This thirty to sixty days?
- 2:59Speaker 2: Is the I'm I don't think you could do.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I don't think you could come out all jacked whatever.
- 3:07Speaker 5: I think a lot of people go to prison and
- 3:08Speaker 5: get fatter.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I know I would not.
- 3:11Speaker 4: You wouldn't that would be possible.
- 3:13Speaker 3: You have to watch it.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Okay.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So the CPW Colorado Parks and Wildlife reporting an increase
- 3:23Speaker 2: in in vehicle the car versus bear.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Incidents across the state right now.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Wildlife officials are saying drought conditions in some areas, population
- 3:35Speaker 2: growth and expanding suburban development, pushing bears closer and closer
- 3:40Speaker 2: to roads and neighborhoods, and now people be hitting bears
- 3:45Speaker 2: like crazy.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Oh no, not hitting them. I thought they were just
- 3:48Speaker 3: like seeing them.
- 3:49Speaker 4: They're getting hit, Like they say.
- 3:51Speaker 2: You usually think about people just tagging deers and elks
- 3:54Speaker 2: and things like that. But I guess the bears are
- 3:57Speaker 2: coming down closer and closer to town and people keep
- 4:00Speaker 2: running into them, and they say the bears are big
- 4:02Speaker 2: and they'll do some serious damage to your car.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I feel like the bear would be okay, we No,
- 4:07Speaker 5: I'm so.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Sad for the bear. O bear Nana's like, I'm very
- 4:12Speaker 1: sad for them. I didn't know they were getting hit.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I thought, wasn't there one recently you were talking about, Well,
- 4:16Speaker 2: there was.
- 4:17Speaker 1: One in Castle Rock that was just like they had
- 4:20Speaker 1: a video of it climbing into the Castle Rock Police station,
- 4:24Speaker 1: their parking lot where all their vehicles are stored. They
- 4:26Speaker 1: climbed the fence, got in and just ran across the
- 4:29Speaker 1: parking lot and that was it.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And then they had that he was looking for cocaine.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's a cocaine Bear Bear Necessities song in the background playing, Well,
- 4:37Speaker 1: they had the video up. So, but yeah, they are everywhere,
- 4:39Speaker 1: and there are more and more this year because of
- 4:41Speaker 1: the warm winter we had, they woke up early and
- 4:45Speaker 1: they're a lot more just visible this year.
- 4:47Speaker 3: So but I didn't realize that they were getting here.
- 4:49Speaker 4: They're getting hurt. Do you do what's where you're going?
- 4:54Speaker 3: Do we need bear crossings like we have the Do
- 4:57Speaker 3: we need to put up some signs?
- 4:59Speaker 4: It was plushing, it was crossing.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I guess there's a bunch of posts of people just
- 5:04Speaker 2: shooting videos and pictures of bears running through their neighborhood.
- 5:07Speaker 2: A lot of that's getting posted on the social and
- 5:09Speaker 2: somebody actually woke up to a bear in their hot
- 5:11Speaker 2: tub out on their bare. Little reaction in my muscles
- 5:17Speaker 2: because I was hit by a car exactly. We were
- 5:21Speaker 2: zipping around our neighborhood on our bikes the other day
- 5:24Speaker 2: and we went kind of down into a little ravine
- 5:26Speaker 2: area by like a golf course and it puts you
- 5:28Speaker 2: out by four seventy. So we were riding along four
- 5:31Speaker 2: seventy kind of and as we went down into that
- 5:34Speaker 2: little ravine area, we had to all throw on our
- 5:36Speaker 2: brakes because there was like six deer right there. Yeah, like,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I mean, like right there, and we stopped and they
- 5:43Speaker 2: started getting all weird on.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Them because you never know what they're going to do.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I mean, they look all friendly right out, but you
- 5:48Speaker 2: don't want to they're just sitting there eating their leaves. Yeah,
- 5:51Speaker 2: but one of them started like putting his head down
- 5:53Speaker 2: and like going.
- 5:55Speaker 4: That, well, it's like that whole bring it deer?
- 5:58Speaker 3: If not friend? Why friend? Shaped exactly? I know, I
- 6:01Speaker 3: just want to pet you? Why are you so?
- 6:03Speaker 2: And the whole time, you know, I was thinking, like,
- 6:05Speaker 2: what are those scenarios that we talk about all the
- 6:06Speaker 2: time on the air.
- 6:07Speaker 4: If I had to fight this deer?
- 6:09Speaker 3: If you if you could fight six of them?
- 6:11Speaker 2: Though, could I fight this deer? I don't know if
- 6:13Speaker 2: they'd all come at me. I think we at least two,
- 6:15Speaker 2: so you could take deer. I'd put the bike in
- 6:18Speaker 2: front of me, right yeah, and then I don't.
- 6:21Speaker 5: Know they kick though, because on their hind legs they would.
- 6:26Speaker 4: The moment I was like I could fight that deer
- 6:28Speaker 4: right now.
- 6:30Speaker 3: You think you could stand a chance, But wouldn't they
- 6:32Speaker 3: take you out?
- 6:34Speaker 4: Local radio host trampled by deer? How the sight of
- 6:37Speaker 4: four seventy and you know.
- 6:39Speaker 1: All the other radio people would be like, oh deer, okay.
- 6:44Speaker 4: It's going so good. It was, I was having fun.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Duncan is rolling out some new summer items, including its
- 6:55Speaker 2: limited edition Barbie Pink Strawberry cold Foam.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Oh, cold Foam's like a big thing.
- 7:02Speaker 4: Cold foam is having a moment right now, isn't it.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Cold foam is everywhere?
- 7:07Speaker 4: Is it?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:08Speaker 4: I got some around Thanksgiving.
- 7:11Speaker 2: We had like a pumpkin cold foam or something and
- 7:14Speaker 2: you can get it in the can and you.
- 7:17Speaker 4: And then you read the ingredients on the side and you're.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Like, my body, I know, yeah, didn't need that.
- 7:22Speaker 4: H This one says the sweet creamy topping.
- 7:25Speaker 2: You're a creamy topping can be added to many iced drinks.
- 7:30Speaker 2: It appears in the new offerings such as the Ultimate
- 7:33Speaker 2: Pink day Dream, Double Strawberry Daydream, Pink Mango Daydream, and
- 7:39Speaker 2: Pink Cherry Daydream Refreshers ox with oat milk.
- 7:43Speaker 3: It says, so different flavors but all pink.
- 7:46Speaker 4: Can you imagine.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Mostly specifically you and me Josh a grown man rolling
- 7:55Speaker 2: up to Duncan and being like, hey, give me a
- 7:57Speaker 2: large pink Cherry day Dream refresher and put some of
- 8:02Speaker 2: that barbie cold foam on.
- 8:03Speaker 5: It immediately, taken immediately.
- 8:07Speaker 3: It's so fine. You can get your pink on.
- 8:10Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, tough guys were pink. Tough guys drink pink.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Okay, buddy, alright, you know do you two pink? You
- 8:17Speaker 4: go first, Chuck you go order and let us know
- 8:20Speaker 4: how it is.
- 8:21Speaker 5: It's so good, y'all.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Take that pink cherry daydream please in my diesel truck.
- 8:28Speaker 3: The nitro everything all right, guys.
- 8:34Speaker 4: We'll be backing about two minutes and fifty seconds.
- 8:36Speaker 2: We'll get our fast five on and have some fun
- 8:38Speaker 2: here with JKJ mixed one hundred. So I got this
- 8:40Speaker 2: story here in front of me. We all like snacks
- 8:43Speaker 2: and stuff? How about uh about snacking on bugs. Researchers
- 8:48Speaker 2: are finding people who try insect based foods for the
- 8:52Speaker 2: first time often enjoy them more than anticipated. This is
- 8:58Speaker 2: amongst a group uh well. They only had a sample
- 9:01Speaker 2: size of about thirty eight adults who had never eaten
- 9:04Speaker 2: insects before, but they sampled both insect protein bars and
- 9:10Speaker 2: insect cereal bars while scientists monitored their brain activity and
- 9:15Speaker 2: heart rates, and the results showed that.
- 9:17Speaker 4: They loved them.
- 9:19Speaker 2: They became more attentive and engaged while eating insect based products,
- 9:25Speaker 2: they had increased heart rates and heightened arousal.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Oh what whoa cricketing?
- 9:33Speaker 4: This is a cereal bar?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Oh baby, I had no idea that you'd have heightened
- 9:40Speaker 2: arousal if you're eating insects.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I think I'd enjoy it more if they did make
- 9:44Speaker 1: it a bar or a powder or something though, Like
- 9:47Speaker 1: I imagine just eating a straight cricket or.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Beat the chocolate covered cricket, grind them up, put them
- 9:52Speaker 2: in your Yeah, protein shapes like.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Cereal and stuff like that.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I could probably get on board with a lot more
- 9:57Speaker 1: than just eating a straight insect.
- 10:00Speaker 2: And researchers are calling the findings very surprising. And you
- 10:05Speaker 2: can mash all sorts of stuff up be in there,
- 10:07Speaker 2: like yellow meal worms, locusts, crickets that's been a thing forever,
- 10:11Speaker 2: like chocolate dipped crickets and stuff like that. But you're
- 10:14Speaker 2: gonna become more attentive, and your heart rate's gonna spike,
- 10:17Speaker 2: and you're gonna become incredibly aroused if you eat these
- 10:19Speaker 2: insects cereal bars. I think you come home and your
- 10:22Speaker 2: wife's like watching insect videos.
- 10:25Speaker 5: What are you doing?
- 10:27Speaker 4: I'm just watching videos. What are you watching?
- 10:31Speaker 5: I'm glad I got caught watching insects now.
- 10:34Speaker 3: I think it'd be bad.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Like, as long as you name it something fun, I
- 10:37Speaker 1: think people would.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Be on board with it.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Which part like a protein bar made of crickets, Like
- 10:42Speaker 1: we could call it like a crick cat crick cat,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you know, come up with a fun name and people
- 10:48Speaker 1: will be okay eating it.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I think that's part of it, you know. Do you
- 10:53Speaker 3: think do you think?
- 10:55Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Well, here's where we say wayne to you telling us
- 10:57Speaker 2: about your snack you've been eating.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Well, I have been eating a high protein snack and
- 11:02Speaker 1: my kid is like grossed out by it. It's not
- 11:04Speaker 1: even gross, it's just a little unorthodox. And it is
- 11:07Speaker 1: my protein bread, which is fabulous.
- 11:10Speaker 3: By the way.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I love it, my peanut butter, and then blueberries, not jelly,
- 11:16Speaker 1: actual fruit on the peanut butter, and then I smash
- 11:19Speaker 1: it and I make a sandwich and it is like
- 11:21Speaker 1: my favorite thing.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I get protein, I get fiber. But for whatever reason,
- 11:26Speaker 3: my kid is grossed out by it. She's like, why
- 11:28Speaker 3: are you putting fruit in it when you could.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Just it's no different than jam or jelly.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, fruit bas and then you got the peanut butter,
- 11:35Speaker 2: and it's like, it's a peanut butterry jelly sandwich.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's got a little bit more texture in it too, right,
- 11:39Speaker 1: because I throw a whole handful of blueberries.
- 11:41Speaker 5: And people do the peanut butter and banana sandwiches for decades.
- 11:44Speaker 3: And shut up.
- 11:46Speaker 1: But I asked a few other people asked my brother.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I was talking to my brother last night, and I just, hey,
- 11:51Speaker 1: what do you think about a peanut butter sandwich? But
- 11:53Speaker 1: instead of jelly, you put blueberries? And then it's like,
- 11:56Speaker 1: why wouldn't you.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Just put jelly. That's everybody's answer to me.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I just wanted to ask you, guys, if you were
- 12:02Speaker 1: okay with my peanut butter and blueberry sing.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I'm so fine with it.
- 12:06Speaker 3: And I can add crickets and we're even better.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Right, What do you need to tell? Baby?
- 12:11Speaker 3: No, no, shut up. I love you.
