- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. So today happy spring again.
- 0:33Just I'm on a spring theme right now because I just feel like
- 0:37it's just such an appropriate thing and I just am in this
- 0:41place where today it was a great reminder for me.
- 0:45The weather wasn't so harsh and overnight and so this morning
- 0:51when I walked out, it was just beautiful and the air was fresh.
- 0:56And spring is just an absolutely wonderful reminder of how
- 1:01beautiful things can be and how beautiful change can be.
- 1:06Like the heat that was causing all of this rain and just or
- 1:11awful weather we were having just left.
- 1:13And all of a sudden there was like a breath of fresh air in
- 1:16the whole area. And for me that's just, oh, that
- 1:19breath of change is just beautiful.
- 1:22But I know most people, many of us have a have a thing with
- 1:26change and me being so certainty driven as I am, I used to really
- 1:31dread change. I didn't like it.
- 1:33I just wanted things to stay exactly as they were, and I had
- 1:37to learn to adapt and learn to pivot with that, especially when
- 1:40I was younger. So I wanted to talk a bit about
- 1:44that today, about how to kind of get your head around change,
- 1:48because springtime, everything is changing.
- 1:51We're going from what was barren and cold and nothingness, and
- 1:54all of a sudden the bulbs are coming up, flowers are blooming,
- 1:58birds are having babies, we have baby chickens in the chicken
- 2:01coop. All kinds of amazing things
- 2:04start to happen in the springtime.
- 2:06And it for me, it's just a great reminder to I have to
- 2:11recalibrate myself and say this is a time to learn how valuable
- 2:15change is. Because change doesn't always
- 2:18seem like it's wonderful. But when we really hunker down
- 2:21and we really start to think about it, we can understand
- 2:24exactly how much it is a wonderful thing to be in a state
- 2:29and operate with change constantly happening.
- 2:32Now whether we like to face it or not, change is always
- 2:36happening every day. We don't think it is, but it is.
- 2:39You know that and I I'll I'll use this as an example because I
- 2:43think it's such an important one.
- 2:44So you're either moving closer to the person you want to be or
- 2:49further from the person you want to be every day those little
- 2:52changes. So if you decide, OK, I'm going
- 2:55to work out, I'm going to lose weight, I'm going to get
- 2:56healthy, I'm going to do all these wonderful things for my
- 2:59body. And then all of a sudden you
- 3:00change that and you decide, oh, well, it's OK to eat the burger
- 3:04or OK, it's OK to have the extra beer or it's OK to do those
- 3:09little things. And I'm going to skip the
- 3:10workout or the walks or the the reading and the learning and the
- 3:15mindset, whatever it might be. Those are all small little
- 3:19changes that are something that you're saying.
- 3:24I'm going to push that aside for right now.
- 3:26But the truth is, they have massive impact.
- 3:29And when you don't pay attention to them and you don't
- 3:32consistently do them over time, all those little tiny changes
- 3:36have a bigger impact. So the small one change, eating
- 3:39the burger one day might not be a big deal, but eating the
- 3:42burger over the course of six months might be a really big
- 3:46deal. So the little changes, if you
- 3:49handle them, all of a sudden everything else seems to take
- 3:53care of itself. But if you don't handle the
- 3:55small ones, the bigger ones, you know, as they become bigger and
- 4:00they get more defined, all those little changes that you made
- 4:04along the way add up to big changes.
- 4:07Now, they don't always have to add up to negatives.
- 4:09They can add up to positives because that's the beautiful
- 4:12part of our world. Change has duality.
- 4:15It can be for the better or it can be for the worst.
- 4:18And, you know, I think the most important part about
- 4:22understanding change is accepting that it's constantly
- 4:25happening. So once you accept it, you can
- 4:28say I'm going to choose to focus on all the great changes.
- 4:32I'm going to choose to focus on all the things that move me
- 4:35towards who I choose to be or my outcomes, my goals, my
- 4:39intentions, whatever you want to call it.
- 4:41But it's that acceptance of change.
- 4:43It's the acceptance of what's happening and saying, OK, you
- 4:47know, I have to allow myself that that awareness that all
- 4:52change is not bad. So there are things that change
- 4:56constantly on this farm. There are things that change
- 4:59constantly. I have no control over the
- 5:01weather. I have no control over the
- 5:03behaviour of animals. They're going to be who they
- 5:06are. I have a beautiful chicken,
- 5:09Buffy, who's got quite an attitude on her.
- 5:13Some of you may have seen her before on my Facebook and
- 5:16Instagram. She's got she's blondish colored
- 5:20and she has big puffy hairdo. She kind of reminds me of
- 5:24Phyllis Diller from the 70s, and boy does she.
- 5:27She looks so sweet and so pretty, but that attitude is so
- 5:31day is long. She's got an attitude and I have
- 5:34watched her over time shift and change and become something of a
- 5:40leader in the group. She's not the top chicken, but
- 5:42she's up there and she does have these little changes about her
- 5:47all the time. And all the chickens do.
- 5:49They all have these little shifts.
- 5:51You'll see how they change their roles.
- 5:53You'll see. You know the the younger ones
- 5:56starting to take more of a role. It's constantly in flux and it's
- 6:00just a reminder for me about how much that takes place
- 6:04everywhere. Doesn't matter what you think,
- 6:07it takes place everywhere. So I'm going to tell you,
- 6:11embrace the change. Make it your friend.
- 6:14Talk to it, welcome it and look at it and say, you know what it
- 6:18is a sign of hope. It is a sign of.
- 6:21I have some control because I can focus my attention on the
- 6:25positive parts of the change and know exactly what I want to
- 6:29attract. All right, my friends, I'll see
- 6:31you tomorrow morning and I hope you have a very blessed day.
- 6:34Bye.
