- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:04Speaker 1: six forty and now Handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 0:15Speaker 1: here's not Bill Handle. Look at that. Let's do a show,
- 0:20Speaker 1: shall we. KFI AM six forty live everywhere on the
- 0:25Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app. Love Me Some iHeartRadio app. You know how
- 0:32Speaker 1: huge KFI is on that app. You know, we're like
- 0:34Speaker 1: the number one most listened to radio station on that app.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And just iHeartRadio alone has like eight hundred stations, let
- 0:44Speaker 1: alone all the other stations on there. Look at that.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Do a victory lap with that little number right there,
- 0:50Speaker 1: a worldwide audience, world wide. You're gonna do it around
- 0:55Speaker 1: more world, Mark Dennisa. It's Neil Savager, by the way,
- 0:58Speaker 1: in the morning crew Handles getting a camera in his
- 1:01Speaker 1: bootox right now or soon. And that's okay. That was
- 1:08Speaker 1: strangely enough, that was will Coleshriver's only birthday wish. He said,
- 1:15Speaker 1: blew out the candles and he said, I hope Handle
- 1:18Speaker 1: gets a camera up is ours, and the little birthday
- 1:22Speaker 1: wish fairy said, you don't be true. We're gonna put
- 1:26Speaker 1: those pictures up on Instagram. He wants to. And it's
- 1:29Speaker 1: not the first time we've put him on shirts before.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Many many years ago, he was doing Master Serve, which
- 1:35Speaker 1: is was a re piping company. I don't know if
- 1:37Speaker 1: it's so still around. It was a copper repiping company
- 1:41Speaker 1: that it was a great company, and he was a
- 1:44Speaker 1: spokesperson for them, and they did t shirts brought to
- 1:47Speaker 1: you of his call of his pipes brought to you
- 1:50Speaker 1: by Master Serve.
- 1:53Speaker 2: You know, it's not a big deal to see them
- 1:55Speaker 2: because you know that everything's all clean, and it's kind
- 1:59Speaker 2: of a enough.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Thanks. Amy, I think we learned something about you. Well,
- 2:04Speaker 1: you were talking about King Queen of Clean Closets and Colon's.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Well saved my life, so I'm a big advocate.
- 2:14Speaker 1: No, it didn't. The doctors that removed it did, That's true.
- 2:19Speaker 1: They only saw it that that actually it caused the problem,
- 2:22Speaker 1: Amy King, not exactly. All right, we discovered the problem,
- 2:28Speaker 1: all right. I love when I use really bad like
- 2:33Speaker 1: analogies and logic and then I'll just go like this,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'll go, well, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
- 2:40Speaker 1: They're like, no, two plus two equals four. I'm like,
- 2:43Speaker 1: we'll just have to agreed to disagree. So good morning
- 2:47Speaker 1: to everybody. Hi there, Amy King, Hi, how are you?
- 2:52Speaker 1: I'm great, that beautiful smile, always peppy. Do you ever
- 2:55Speaker 1: get mad? Mm hmmm, oh I don't want to see that. Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I think Gary and Shannon one time I was kind
- 3:02Speaker 2: of in a mood and I dropped the F bomb
- 3:03Speaker 2: and they were like, we've never heard that from.
- 3:05Speaker 1: You, respectfully, because we're you know, same age. Respectfully. It
- 3:15Speaker 1: would be like hearing my mom cuss. And I've heard
- 3:17Speaker 1: my mom cuss. Lovely Catholic woman.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I've never heard my mother say that word.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Oh I have, but it was very rare, and she
- 3:26Speaker 1: was a Catholic school girl. It's very rare, and it
- 3:29Speaker 1: would and she I think she did it because she
- 3:32Speaker 1: had so many boys and she's like, if you guys
- 3:34Speaker 1: are going to do it, then I'm going to do it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: But it did stop everything, and it didn't have the power.
- 3:40Speaker 1: She thought it made us go speaking of the F word.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Good morning, Kno, how you doing, buddy? Good morning? I
- 3:48Speaker 1: E one love? That's me one love baby. Hey, who's house?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Ram's house? That's right? Yeah, I know, I'm going through
- 3:57Speaker 1: all the tradition. You know what we got to do though, seeeriously,
- 4:00Speaker 1: we got to get the w. We got to take
- 4:03Speaker 1: it to the paint. We've got to give one hundred
- 4:04Speaker 1: and and we got to get that w. That's it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But yeah, okay, all that, that's a wrong sport. But yes,
- 4:10Speaker 1: what do you mean football's got paid? You don't take
- 4:12Speaker 1: it his paint throughout the field, so you don't know.
- 4:15Speaker 1: But the end zone is paint the paint. No, but
- 4:18Speaker 1: I get you. I didn't say floorboards. Good job. Hey, okay,
- 4:23Speaker 1: we'll agree to disagree. Okay, we'll Cole Schreiber, happy birthday,
- 4:29Speaker 1: good morning, thank you. Look at it and the traffic
- 4:32Speaker 1: gods gave you nothing but smooth sailing. Well not right now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: it's kind offul Yeah, we've got issues. We've got issues.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And like I said, it's clear out side, there's no
- 4:44Speaker 1: issues on the roads. Oh right, yes, Oh, we'll agree
- 4:48Speaker 1: to disagree then, I guess will Cole Schreiber my fault.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Good morning morning, Nice to see you, Good to see you.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You're very lovely. Handle says a lot of crap. I
- 5:00Speaker 1: think you intimidate him. I'm going to be honest. I
- 5:03Speaker 1: think you do. I think you hold the power. Yeah,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and I think he he likes to uh to shock.
- 5:12Speaker 1: But you're he does, Yeah, he does. I wish he
- 5:16Speaker 1: was shocked. I wish we could do that. You know
- 5:19Speaker 1: what I can do that. I'm a maker. I could
- 5:21Speaker 1: wire this chair up. He's a peasy lemon squeeze and
- 5:24Speaker 1: then that button there that says cough. Yeah, and I
- 5:31Speaker 1: did that once. Yeah. I wanted to see what it
- 5:34Speaker 1: did to the dog because someone had one and I said,
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't know that this is great, and so I
- 5:41Speaker 1: put it on and I'm like, it doesn't do anything,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and someone says, well, bark, So I barked, and you
- 5:52Speaker 1: know what, it works. Yeah. And the more you scream
- 5:58Speaker 1: ow similar to a bark, the higher it turns itself up.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I learned, and keeps the intensive.
- 6:05Speaker 2: So you think it's a good thing or a bad thing.
- 6:07Speaker 1: No, I don't know. I don't know enough about the
- 6:10Speaker 1: dog's physiology to know, with the fur and everything, how
- 6:14Speaker 1: it Yeah, you know how it worksspective Yeah. Yeah, I'm
- 6:18Speaker 1: just saying I don't know if I'd rather have that
- 6:21Speaker 1: than one of those forked choke colors. Whenever I see that,
- 6:25Speaker 1: I go this person doesn't know how to fuel their
- 6:28Speaker 1: doc Anyways, any who handle is getting a colonoscoped today,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and we wish the doctor well, not a cave I
- 6:38Speaker 1: want to splunk. But good for him for getting things
- 6:42Speaker 1: checked out. I like Amy King. I am a big
- 6:45Speaker 1: fan of taking care of your business. There was a
- 6:48Speaker 1: there was a billboard that said, gosh, every year, hundreds
- 6:54Speaker 1: of thousands of men die from stupidity because we just
- 7:00Speaker 1: are not good about taking care of ourselves and going
- 7:04Speaker 1: out there.
- 7:05Speaker 2: So coldon cancer is the number two killer.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's seriously, and it's treatable.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It's preventable if you catch it early.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Yeah, and I had a friend die of it. A
- 7:15Speaker 1: very different line.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I have had a couple very dear friends die from.
- 7:19Speaker 1: And I did tell him before he went that I
- 7:24Speaker 1: thought it happened because he was full of crap. Oh
- 7:28Speaker 1: he's not. Now, No, he gotta chuckle out of that.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I kind of say things sometimes you think that I
- 7:38Speaker 1: don't know, I'm real. I guess let's go to the news,
- 7:43Speaker 1: shall we lead story?
- 7:49Speaker 2: Oh?
- 7:50Speaker 1: Newsome you silly goose. So he says that the White
- 7:55Speaker 1: House blocked him from speaking at a global forum. This
- 7:59Speaker 1: is Gavin new Some Yeah, that one California governor. He
- 8:02Speaker 1: said he was blocked by the Trump administration from speaking
- 8:05Speaker 1: at the World Economic Forum in DeVos Davos, Davos, Davos, Davos, Davos, Davos, Hey, Davos,
- 8:14Speaker 1: Hey there in Switzerland. Still never stayed in Switzerland. Did
- 8:19Speaker 1: a little pit stop once Gorus like a Christmas card.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Apparently he had been asked to speak at the event
- 8:29Speaker 1: at US House. This is the pavilion, the American pavilion
- 8:33Speaker 1: at this annual gathering. I don't know what the political
- 8:39Speaker 1: stupidity is here, but I will tell you. I just
- 8:42Speaker 1: have one wish for politicians. Stop leaving your post for
- 8:50Speaker 1: global stuff. Just stop fill the potholes. Deal with it here.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Do the basic things. That's it. That's it. Everybody wants
- 9:04Speaker 1: to be it's it is truly Hollywood for ugly people
- 9:08Speaker 1: except you, gav But it is that the whole climbing
- 9:12Speaker 1: and wanting to be on a global platform. You are
- 9:16Speaker 1: a California leader, Come lead California, Bass. You are a
- 9:22Speaker 1: La City leader, Come serve La City. Stop thinking that
- 9:28Speaker 1: you have global importance when you have local needs that
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're not attending to please. For the love of all
- 9:35Speaker 1: that is glorious, down off my soak bucks, Okay, Amy
- 9:41Speaker 1: letter roll.
- 9:42Speaker 2: The world's running dry you you, And scientists say dozens
- 9:46Speaker 2: of the world's major rivers are so heavily tapped they
- 9:49Speaker 2: often run dry before they get to the sea. More
- 9:52Speaker 2: than half of all large lakes are shrinking, and most
- 9:55Speaker 2: of the world's major underground sources are declining irreversibly, as
- 10:00Speaker 2: agriculture pumping drains water that took centuries or even thousands
- 10:04Speaker 2: of years to accumulate. The scientists they're calling it a
- 10:08Speaker 2: global water bankruptcy.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Oh, we were taught though, I thought as kids that
- 10:17Speaker 1: the water is water is water, and it goes up
- 10:19Speaker 1: and then it comes back down and it goes up,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and we don't make more and we don't have less.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So are they saying that there is a super evaporation
- 10:29Speaker 1: where or that we're not managing the water we have? Well,
- 10:34Speaker 1: because bankruptcy sounds like to me, it's we're running out. Yeah,
- 10:38Speaker 1: we're running out. We're just gonna have to agree to disagree.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I yeah, all right. Immigration officers they have this assertion
- 10:51Speaker 1: going around because everybody on the interwebs is a legal
- 10:55Speaker 1: analyst when it comes to anything and everything, and they
- 10:59Speaker 1: are asserting they have sweeping power to enter homes without
- 11:02Speaker 1: a judge's warrant because it's the equivalent, from what I've heard,
- 11:07Speaker 1: of a bench warrant, because they're here illegally. So these
- 11:14Speaker 1: federal immigration officers are saying that this sweeping power to
- 11:19Speaker 1: forcibly enter people's home without a judge's warrant is according
- 11:23Speaker 1: to an internal Immigration and Customs enforcement memo. The Associated
- 11:28Speaker 1: Press says they got their hands on this and it
- 11:30Speaker 1: marks a sharp reversal of long standing guidance. Guidance meant
- 11:34Speaker 1: to respect constitutional limits on government searches. So then you
- 11:39Speaker 1: get into the Fourth Amendment and there's issues, but I'm
- 11:45Speaker 1: hearing things going back and forth about how it actually
- 11:49Speaker 1: comes down to the fact that it's it's like if
- 11:52Speaker 1: you miss a court date, you get a bench warrant,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and that happens automatically. Now keep in mind, I'm like handle,
- 11:59Speaker 1: I have no legal expertise, but that was my understanding
- 12:05Speaker 1: of it, and we'll have to see that play out,
- 12:06Speaker 1: all right.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Taking the law for granted. Former Special Counsel Jack Smith
- 12:12Speaker 2: is apparently going to warn Americans not to take the
- 12:14Speaker 2: rule of law for granted. He'll be making his first
- 12:17Speaker 2: public testimony before Congress about the investigations into President Trump
- 12:22Speaker 2: from his prepared statement, which was obtained by NBC News,
- 12:26Speaker 2: he says, I have seen how the rule of law
- 12:28Speaker 2: can erode my fears. We've seen the rule of law
- 12:31Speaker 2: function in this country for so long that many of
- 12:33Speaker 2: us have come to take it for granted. He's going
- 12:36Speaker 2: to tell that to the House Judiciary Committee. He also
- 12:38Speaker 2: plans to tell Congress that his investigation into President Trump developed,
- 12:43Speaker 2: in his words, proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump
- 12:46Speaker 2: engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn his twenty twenty
- 12:51Speaker 2: election loss.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that was a horrible time. I will you know what.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I hear a lot being thrown around, and listen, call
- 13:00Speaker 1: balls and strikes men. I don't care if you've got
- 13:02Speaker 1: an R or a D. If you do something stupid,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I'm going to point it out. But one of the
- 13:06Speaker 1: things that I hate the most is no one's above
- 13:09Speaker 1: the law. When they're talking about Trump. No one is
- 13:12Speaker 1: above the law unless you're homeless or an illegal alien. Anyhow,
- 13:21Speaker 1: back to the News, shall we go. This surprised the
- 13:24Speaker 1: hell out of me. I don't know how you responded
- 13:26Speaker 1: to it. But the Uvaldi trial that you had that
- 13:30Speaker 1: former school police officer Adrian Gonzalez was found not guilty
- 13:34Speaker 1: on all counts, and this was this jury acquitted him
- 13:40Speaker 1: for his response to the rob Elementary shooting on May
- 13:45Speaker 1: of twenty twenty two. We all remember this just insane.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You had nineteen students, two teachers killed seventy seven minutes
- 13:59Speaker 1: before lawforcement mounted a counter assault. To you know, what
- 14:07Speaker 1: constitutes nothing less than a rampage vulgar display to me
- 14:12Speaker 1: of law enforcement and protection. I don't know how you
- 14:17Speaker 1: could see it anyway. Now, I wasn't on the jury.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I don't know if there's more details to it, but
- 14:22Speaker 1: to me, there.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Had to be something that we didn't hear. If he
- 14:25Speaker 2: was acquitted on all twenty nine charges.
- 14:27Speaker 1: You'd think because you're you're looking at you know, different
- 14:31Speaker 1: all kinds of different charges, and just I mean each
- 14:41Speaker 1: count carried a penalty of two years in prison, and
- 14:46Speaker 1: you've got so many different things that were going on
- 14:50Speaker 1: at the time. The videos I remember us seeing where
- 14:52Speaker 1: they were standing around and listen, law enforcement is not
- 14:56Speaker 1: a job I want to do. I mean there was
- 14:59Speaker 1: a time when I wanted to get into executive security
- 15:03Speaker 1: for high target individual individuals. Yeah, learn something new, huh, Yeah,
- 15:11Speaker 1: But that's a that's a tough gig and we always
- 15:17Speaker 1: second guess them because they have to make, you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: very quick decisions sometimes. But this one just seemed like,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know what, that's that's when you earn that title. Man,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you go in shooting seventy seven minutes is unacceptable to me.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Well, but and I think his his lawyers had said
- 15:35Speaker 2: that they made this gentleman. And I'm not making a
- 15:38Speaker 2: judgment on I'm just saying what they're saying is that
- 15:40Speaker 2: that they made Gonzalez the police officer, the escapegoat for
- 15:45Speaker 2: everything that there were failings. I mean, like to stand
- 15:48Speaker 2: outside for seventy seven minutes. It wasn't only one person.
- 15:51Speaker 1: No, No, I agree, I agree that they lost the board.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so they he was saying, they basically said he
- 15:57Speaker 2: was responsible for all the things that went wrong, And
- 16:02Speaker 2: maybe that's why the Jersey just went, yeah, he's not
- 16:05Speaker 2: the only one responsible. So maybe I know, again, it
- 16:09Speaker 2: wasn't mean You're probably right.
- 16:10Speaker 1: I think it was one of those things where they
- 16:12Speaker 1: tried to lump it all onto one person and it
- 16:14Speaker 1: was a total breakdown across the board.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, a baby lion's been rescued. Okay, so yesterday I
- 16:23Speaker 2: said it on KTLA. They had video of a mountain
- 16:27Speaker 2: lion cub sitting in the middle of a road in
- 16:30Speaker 2: Castaic and just looked so adorable and peaceful.
- 16:34Speaker 1: But it wasn't.
- 16:36Speaker 2: The little guy was injured and then he apparently was
- 16:39Speaker 2: able to run off. Wildlife officials went and searched for
- 16:43Speaker 2: him because he may have been hit by a car.
- 16:45Speaker 2: They're saying they did find him and grabbed him. I'm
- 16:50Speaker 2: calling him him. We don't know if it's a boy,
- 16:52Speaker 2: but the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has rescued
- 16:55Speaker 2: him and now he's being treated.
- 16:58Speaker 1: You know what Anne wants to do. Adopt him, hug it.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you should have seen me and Ann
- 17:04Speaker 2: yesterday or Anne and I yesterday. We were like just like, oh,
- 17:07Speaker 2: the baby, it was so beautiful. No, he was too
- 17:11Speaker 2: small to eat us.
- 17:12Speaker 1: He would eat you at well a little bit at
- 17:14Speaker 1: a time.
- 17:14Speaker 2: But then Anne was saying, I would have gone, like
- 17:16Speaker 2: I would have had to go rescue him because they
- 17:18Speaker 2: were just kind of staring at him. There was a
- 17:19Speaker 2: car there with his headlights on it because it was
- 17:21Speaker 2: discovered at like one in the morning. But would you
- 17:24Speaker 2: because they also had two other mountain lions nearby, and
- 17:27Speaker 2: they think one of them was a mother. And if
- 17:28Speaker 2: you went up to the mountain lion cub.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but you are supposed to stay in your car,
- 17:34Speaker 1: pull over and call law enforcement when you hit a
- 17:37Speaker 1: wild animal like that.
- 17:39Speaker 2: I don't think the person who found him hit him.
- 17:42Speaker 1: No, no, but I'm saying whoever did hit them shouldn't
- 17:44Speaker 1: have left the scene. Well, they should have. Unfortunately, I've
- 17:49Speaker 1: hit a deer and you pull over and coming back
- 17:57Speaker 1: from from Big Bear and the smaller ones, the young
- 18:03Speaker 1: ones are just stupid. They will wait until you're close
- 18:07Speaker 1: and then jump out of the trees.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Oh the adults do it too.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, It just it was like, you know, and
- 18:14Speaker 1: you're going, gosh, I'm very you know, try and be
- 18:18Speaker 1: reasonable about those things. But yeah, and it's horrible. And
- 18:20Speaker 1: then you got to find a signal on the mountain
- 18:24Speaker 1: to be able to call the police, and then you
- 18:26Speaker 1: got to wait for them to come. And you just know,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and you know, if you've hit something, yes you do.
- 18:33Speaker 1: And you know what's sad more sad is I was
- 18:37Speaker 1: going slow enough to just kind of push it into
- 18:40Speaker 1: the road, and the other drivers on the other side
- 18:43Speaker 1: of the ones that but they didn't stop Cono. Somebody
- 18:52Speaker 1: hit us up on the talk back, by the way,
- 18:54Speaker 1: and you can do that easily if you're listening to
- 18:56Speaker 1: us on the iHeartRadio app. And you can just see
- 19:01Speaker 1: that little red button with the icon of a mic,
- 19:05Speaker 1: and you hit that and you got like thirty seconds
- 19:07Speaker 1: and we'll see them. They come up here. A lot
- 19:09Speaker 1: of happy birthdays to you, Will a lot of shout
- 19:12Speaker 1: outs for our own will Cole Schreiber. It's his birthday
- 19:16Speaker 1: and people are wishing you happy birthday. Nice. It feels
- 19:18Speaker 1: good to be finally thirty nine. Yeah, you know what,
- 19:21Speaker 1: and it looks good on you, buddy. I was surprised
- 19:24Speaker 1: to hear you were thirty nine. I thought twenty nine. Tops.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Oh man, you're my favorite, top, You're my favorite. But
- 19:32Speaker 1: one guy I said that I call balls and strikes,
- 19:35Speaker 1: and I do. I do not belong to a political party.
- 19:38Speaker 1: They both do stupid things and they both do good things.
- 19:42Speaker 1: But I said that when the left speaks about Trump,
- 19:47Speaker 1: they're always like, no one's above the law. And then
- 19:49Speaker 1: I said, except if you're homeless or an illegal immigrant,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and he was a Latino man and got upset. Well,
- 19:58Speaker 1: I hate to break it to you. But I'm Mexican,
- 20:00Speaker 1: so I'm of Mexican descent. Now I'm a proud American
- 20:03Speaker 1: of Mexican descent. But I think what's going on right
- 20:08Speaker 1: now with ICE's crap not because I don't think we
- 20:11Speaker 1: need to enforce our borders. We absolutely need to enforce
- 20:14Speaker 1: our borders. Every country does. I was talking about in
- 20:21Speaker 1: this particular case, about Democrats saying no one's above the law,
- 20:24Speaker 1: and then them making exceptions basing on what they believe.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I am a very fond of good neighbor policies and
- 20:33Speaker 1: that Latino brothers and sisters from the South should be
- 20:38Speaker 1: able to work here, and we should be able to
- 20:40Speaker 1: do it legally. We're smarter than that. So take your
- 20:44Speaker 1: hostility somewhere else back to handle. On the news, shall
- 20:46Speaker 1: we go? Beating death of a Glendale firefighter's wife allegedly
- 20:53Speaker 1: with an axe horrible story. Now new details are coming
- 20:57Speaker 1: out in the rest of an off duty Glendale firefighter
- 21:02Speaker 1: believed to have done this, just just horrific. So the
- 21:08Speaker 1: victim identified by family members as Mayra m a y r.
- 21:15Speaker 1: That Amy King going with Meyra on that one? Not Myra?
- 21:20Speaker 1: Is it not? Mayra?
- 21:21Speaker 2: I am not one hundred percent.
- 21:23Speaker 1: M mens. She's fifty five, was described by friends as
- 21:26Speaker 1: a caring educator. She was a union representative actually with
- 21:30Speaker 1: the United Teachers of Los Angeles. But there's more and
- 21:35Speaker 1: more coming out of this story, and they found officers
- 21:40Speaker 1: responded to this fifty six hundred block and Satsuma Avenue
- 21:46Speaker 1: and found the victim who was dead and had been
- 21:48Speaker 1: brutally beaten. I was listening the other day to someone
- 21:54Speaker 1: in law enforcement talk about how the vast majority of
- 22:00Speaker 1: calls for local law enforcement officers are domestic, the vast majority,
- 22:10Speaker 1: and that there's some of the most intense calls on
- 22:14Speaker 1: how people get put back on the streets immediately, because
- 22:16Speaker 1: the victims often will just say no, nothing happened later,
- 22:21Speaker 1: just horrific Amy King.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So maybe all the bluster paid off. President Trump says
- 22:28Speaker 2: that he has reached a framework of a deal with
- 22:32Speaker 2: NATO over Greenland's future. He also pulled his threat of
- 22:38Speaker 2: slapping additional chair tariffs on eight European allies that had
- 22:43Speaker 2: been resisting his insistence that the US should own Greenland.
- 22:47Speaker 2: He said he would not use force to assert American ownership.
- 22:53Speaker 2: We don't know the details of the deal, but apparently
- 22:56Speaker 2: we got one, and NATO's Secretary General said, yep, we
- 23:00Speaker 2: got a deal.
- 23:01Speaker 1: He always goes to one hundred. He goes to one hundred.
- 23:05Speaker 1: If he wants thirty, he goes to one hundred. And
- 23:08Speaker 1: then I mean it's so it's such basic negotiations, right,
- 23:13Speaker 1: ask for everything, come out huffing and puffin, and he's
- 23:18Speaker 1: good a huff and puffin, yeah, and then getting that
- 23:20Speaker 1: little piece. But we'll see how that plays out, all right,
- 23:24Speaker 1: sad sad story. Austin Butner, now he has been in
- 23:30Speaker 1: the news quite a bit. He is running for La mayor.
- 23:35Speaker 1: He is a candidate that wants to go up against Bass.
- 23:39Speaker 1: They have gone head to head and toe to toe
- 23:41Speaker 1: and a lot of things. One of the things he
- 23:43Speaker 1: points out is, of course, how the handling of last
- 23:46Speaker 1: year's Palisades fire, destroying thousands of homes, left twelve people.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Dad puts that at the foot of Bass. And it
- 23:56Speaker 1: turns out his one of his four daughters, who is
- 23:59Speaker 1: twenty two, passed away on January sixth, And this comes
- 24:05Speaker 1: from the La County Medical Examiner's website. But no reason
- 24:12Speaker 1: as to how we were what caused it. We know
- 24:15Speaker 1: she was in the hospital at the time and a
- 24:17Speaker 1: sad tie to this. You did have Bass come out
- 24:21Speaker 1: and say that she was profoundly saddened by the news,
- 24:26Speaker 1: and rightly so. But she has a different tie to this. Bass,
- 24:31Speaker 1: if you didn't know, had a daughter and a son
- 24:33Speaker 1: in law killed in two thousand and six in a
- 24:36Speaker 1: car crash on the four or five freeway, and so
- 24:41Speaker 1: they're bonded by this horrible similarity that just is I
- 24:47Speaker 1: could not imagine with a nine year old boy. To
- 24:52Speaker 1: lose a child is horrific.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Mister freeze means business. Here's a massive winter storm moving
- 25:02Speaker 2: across the US. More than two dozen states. They're going
- 25:05Speaker 2: to be affected. Their forecasters are saying damaging ice and
- 25:09Speaker 2: heavy snow is expected to hit late this week. The
- 25:13Speaker 2: blast of arctic air could set records during the typical
- 25:17Speaker 2: coldest time of the year. Snow's sleet, freezing rain could
- 25:20Speaker 2: stretch more than fifteen hundred miles all the way from
- 25:22Speaker 2: the plains across the south and into the Northeast. They're
- 25:25Speaker 2: expecting major travel disruction on roads and airports across the
- 25:30Speaker 2: entire footprint of the storm, and they're also saying be
- 25:33Speaker 2: ready for potentially long lasting power outages.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Okay, forty five bucks to fly without a real ID
- 25:44Speaker 1: that's starting in February. How many times, Amy, did they
- 25:50Speaker 1: ask us or tell us that we had to do
- 25:52Speaker 1: it by a certain date, certain date, certain day. I
- 25:55Speaker 1: mean seems like half a dozen times they changed.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Well, you know, initially, remember it was supposed to be
- 26:00Speaker 2: back in like twenty twenty, but then COVID hit and
- 26:03Speaker 2: so then they pushed it back, pushed it back, and
- 26:05Speaker 2: now it's you're supposed to have it, but now you
- 26:07Speaker 2: can still fly, but you have to pay a fee.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Yeah, forty five bucks.
- 26:13Speaker 2: To or use your passport and you don't have to
- 26:15Speaker 2: worry about it.
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I just it wasn't I did it during COVID,
- 26:21Speaker 1: and it was a pain because they had all those
- 26:23Speaker 1: COVID rules to do it. And it's the worst picture
- 26:27Speaker 1: of my entire life. Really, it's horrible. Listen, I'm not
- 26:31Speaker 1: a pretty person. I get it, but this is worse.
- 26:34Speaker 1: This is just a just horrific. But now it's it's done.
- 26:39Speaker 1: They keep telling you you gotta do this, you gotta
- 26:41Speaker 1: do this, you got to do this, and flying is
- 26:44Speaker 1: not a right you got to have that id.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Ice is in Maine and we're not talking about the
- 26:54Speaker 2: Big storm. A new immigration enforcement operation has been launched
- 26:58Speaker 2: in Maine, according to the Apartment of Homeland Security. They
- 27:02Speaker 2: didn't say how many arrests were made during the first day,
- 27:06Speaker 2: but they dubbed the operation in Maine Catch of the Day.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Oh boy. Yeah, all right. So this is like the
- 27:17Speaker 1: full on reality TV that everybody wants, and that is
- 27:20Speaker 1: the Clinton's on stand. I don't know what it is
- 27:23Speaker 1: about them. I don't think Clinton was a horrible president,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I really don't, but he and his wife were shady.
- 27:34Speaker 1: They just have always been shady to me. Good speaker,
- 27:39Speaker 1: but shady. So lawmakers have taken the next step towards
- 27:43Speaker 1: holding Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress. And
- 27:47Speaker 1: now they're saying this is because they refuse to comply
- 27:50Speaker 1: with a subpoena to testify. And this all has to
- 27:52Speaker 1: do with the investigation, the congressional investigation of Jeffrey Epstein. Now,
- 28:00Speaker 1: remember Bill Clinton came out saying something along lines that
- 28:03Speaker 1: this these files need to come out. He's gonna be
- 28:09Speaker 1: I mean, he visited the island. I think there's so
- 28:13Speaker 1: many people on this list. Neither side wants this information out,
- 28:18Speaker 1: but he came out and he was saying, yeah, they've
- 28:20Speaker 1: got to release the files and all of this stuff,
- 28:23Speaker 1: but yet he doesn't want to comply with the investigation.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Seems odd and they could be in They could be
- 28:32Speaker 2: in real trouble for this. They could launch a criminal investigation.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Was talking to Steven Portnoy about this, and they said
- 28:40Speaker 2: they could go and have the house guard go fetch
- 28:44Speaker 2: them and bring them in. I mean, yeah, fetch yeah,
- 28:47Speaker 2: fetch them.
- 28:48Speaker 1: But they're not stupid. They're both attorneys.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, and the interesting thing about this one too,
- 28:53Speaker 2: is it's bipartisan. Like the eight Democrats on the committee
- 28:57Speaker 2: also voted for for.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Bill, but not for Hillary. There was like three that voted.
- 29:04Speaker 1: I thought it was funny that when it came to Bill,
- 29:07Speaker 1: like eight Democrats were like, yeah, get that guy, this dad,
- 29:09Speaker 1: and then when it came to Hillary, like three of
- 29:11Speaker 1: them are like, yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Well there's pictures with Bill and.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, like in the water.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And he's a there's talk that he was on the
- 29:21Speaker 2: plane went to the island. Did Hillary too or did
- 29:25Speaker 2: she just know about his travels?
- 29:28Speaker 1: I don't know. They have a weird marriage. So we
- 29:34Speaker 1: shall see. All right, that's all we have time for today,
- 29:37Speaker 1: stick around. More to come. We are going to get
- 29:40Speaker 1: into weird tie with the GLP ones, the weight loss drugs,
- 29:49Speaker 1: a benefit that no one saw coming. Neil Savedra and
- 29:53Speaker 1: the morning crew in for Handle this morning. Who is
- 29:57Speaker 1: getting a colonoscopy? And I say that not because it's
- 30:00Speaker 1: Bill getting a colonoscopy, but because we should all be
- 30:04Speaker 1: doing that. Isn't that right? Amy?
- 30:06Speaker 2: Yes, it is so stick you haven't please go do it?
- 30:10Speaker 1: All right? This is KFI heard everywhere on the iHeartRadio app.
