- 0:06Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous people. It is La La Kent with Randall
- 0:11Speaker 1: and this is Give Them La La with Randall the podcast.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Yes, finally you fucking remember my name. I gotta stop.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Cursing, babe. We got we had notes, but said that
- 0:22Speaker 1: you cursed too much.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah. By the way, I got a note from
- 0:25Speaker 2: the studio that says I say the F wort too much.
- 0:27Speaker 2: So the goal in this podcast I've already failed is
- 0:30Speaker 2: to not curse, so I am gonna wor up. My
- 0:32Speaker 2: mother raised me to not curse. She is very disappointed,
- 0:36Speaker 2: so I'm not going to curse anything.
- 0:37Speaker 1: When when you read the email to out loud to
- 0:40Speaker 1: me and it was like, hey, just a few notes
- 0:42Speaker 1: like don't curse as much and we were gonna listen
- 0:45Speaker 1: to the episode we did with Jackson Britt, I was like,
- 0:47Speaker 1: oh no, I cursed too much. And then it ended
- 0:50Speaker 1: up being you saying the F word the whole time.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I felt Yeah. When I saw the only note
- 0:54Speaker 2: was to me, I actually thought I was getting cut
- 0:56Speaker 2: for the podcast again. But I made it to episode three,
- 0:59Speaker 2: so I'm excited. I'm here still.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And by the way, you're such a rookie that you
- 1:03Speaker 1: have your phone on right now.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Listen, it's with Randall. That's why I'm not a give
- 1:06Speaker 2: them lalla. I'm on the sidekick.
- 1:09Speaker 1: You're welcome. Turn the damn phone off.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Okay, I did. I just want to tell you that
- 1:13Speaker 2: we we and it is important because we're sitting here
- 1:16Speaker 2: now twenty four hours back from Sundance, and I am
- 1:20Speaker 2: so proud of you. You crushed it. You had the
- 1:22Speaker 2: premiere of your movie, and I think you should talk
- 1:24Speaker 2: about that because that was your first time ever having
- 1:27Speaker 2: a premiere at Sundance, and I was so moved and
- 1:30Speaker 2: so excited for you, as like a kid in a
- 1:32Speaker 2: candy shop. So why don't you tell everybody about that?
- 1:34Speaker 1: The experience in Sundance was absolutely amazing. I've been going
- 1:38Speaker 1: there for so many years when I lived in Utah,
- 1:41Speaker 1: and I would like pass out goodie bags or like
- 1:43Speaker 1: serve drinks.
- 1:44Speaker 2: You were, but I mean explain to people like you
- 1:47Speaker 2: were like five dollars six dollars an hour? You know, yeah, no,
- 1:51Speaker 2: had a party, your help.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We're not making mad money. I mean if you were
- 1:55Speaker 1: making two hundred dollars for the night, you were like,
- 1:57Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I'm rich. But it was amazing and
- 2:02Speaker 1: not only was the experience great, when I went to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the premiere of the film Spree, it was just unbelievable.
- 2:10Speaker 1: It was a great no.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And I'll just when I say like, because I know,
- 2:14Speaker 2: because look, I started as an assistant. I worked, you know,
- 2:16Speaker 2: all these odd jobs to get you know, come up
- 2:19Speaker 2: and babe and try to you know, become you know,
- 2:22Speaker 2: in the business and become successful. And you've done the
- 2:25Speaker 2: same thing, and I don't think people really understand, like
- 2:27Speaker 2: you fit modeled and you worked, you know, hosting gigs
- 2:30Speaker 2: and all that stuff. For you to show up on
- 2:32Speaker 2: a red carpet at the Sundance Film Festival, it's got
- 2:35Speaker 2: to be pretty. I mean, I know what it meant
- 2:38Speaker 2: to you. But I mean I think people, you know,
- 2:40Speaker 2: don't realize how epic that one moment is when you
- 2:43Speaker 2: get it.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Well, it's like when you sit there and you've been
- 2:46Speaker 1: thinking about something your entire life, and you know, things
- 2:50Speaker 1: didn't always.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Go my way.
- 2:51Speaker 1: Of course, I'm so grateful for vander pump roles, but
- 2:54Speaker 1: you have to understand, as a kid, like I was
- 2:55Speaker 1: never thinking I want to do reality TV, right, and
- 2:59Speaker 1: when I signed on to vander Pump, I never wanted
- 3:01Speaker 1: to lose the vision of wanting to become an actress
- 3:04Speaker 1: and working on my craft. Of course, So to go
- 3:06Speaker 1: back to my home state to a film festival that
- 3:10Speaker 1: I've been going to for years and actually have a film,
- 3:12Speaker 1: it was surreal.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And what I what I love about vander Pomp and
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think people know this probably is that it's it's
- 3:20Speaker 2: been such a springboard for you. It's given you so
- 3:22Speaker 2: many cool opportunities, and it continues. So I think that's cool,
- 3:26Speaker 2: you know, And then.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So you get to like turn I love you vander
- 3:30Speaker 1: Pump Rules plug.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Lisa Vanner Pump. No, but I think I think it's cool.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I think you get to do reality, you get to
- 3:37Speaker 2: go do your acting. Well.
- 3:38Speaker 1: If someone asked me that rand when when I was
- 3:40Speaker 1: doing press, they were like, so are you thinking like
- 3:43Speaker 1: you're just going to focus on acting and not do
- 3:44Speaker 1: vander Pump. I'm like, we live in a world where
- 3:47Speaker 1: you can do it all. Like I'm not canceling anything out.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I love acting and I love doing vander Pump Rules. Like,
- 3:53Speaker 1: let's rock it all till the wheels fall off.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I think it's cool. And now we're here working together.
- 3:59Speaker 1: But let's talk about one thing. Because I can't not
- 4:03Speaker 1: talk about this. We had an amazing sun dance. We're
- 4:08Speaker 1: living our best life. We're on the PJ on Sunday,
- 4:12Speaker 1: flying from Utah to to Ohio, and we see online
- 4:16Speaker 1: that Kobe Bryant has passed away with his daughter.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Okay, and here here's a crazy thing. And this is
- 4:23Speaker 2: I mean, obviously everybody in the world has been affected
- 4:25Speaker 2: by this. We're on the plane and we get a text,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and I mean we see on our thing it says
- 4:31Speaker 2: TMZ reports it, and you go into that complete denial,
- 4:35Speaker 2: like it's this didn't happen, there's this is bullshit reporting.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And then everybody on the plane starts googling. And within
- 4:42Speaker 2: eleven minutes, eleven minutes from the time we saw the TMZ,
- 4:46Speaker 2: it was everywhere. And that plane ride, that last hour
- 4:50Speaker 2: and a half from when we found out it was
- 4:55Speaker 2: jaw dropping disbelief, heartbreak, by the way, and I just
- 4:59Speaker 2: want to put this out there. I was never a
- 5:01Speaker 2: big sports person, you know that, baby, I mean I
- 5:03Speaker 2: don't even I barely know, but I mean Kobe Bryant
- 5:07Speaker 2: what I've watched, I've gone to a lot of Laker games.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I mean, this is this is the icon of the
- 5:13Speaker 2: hero of basketball, and even myself tears and heartbreak and
- 5:18Speaker 2: emotional and then you and I mean this with love.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And I'm sitting right next to you, and I know
- 5:23Speaker 2: you gonna get upset. And I'm not laughing. I'm I mean,
- 5:26Speaker 2: I have to laugh. I have to find some humor,
- 5:28Speaker 2: but there really is none right now. But I watched
- 5:31Speaker 2: you all night. You couldn't leave the hotel. See you
- 5:34Speaker 2: have tears over your eyes, and I love you and
- 5:36Speaker 2: gonna get me upset now, But I watched you all
- 5:39Speaker 2: night and and and it's just Kobe Bryant has had
- 5:43Speaker 2: the effect on the world that that he's had. You're
- 5:48Speaker 2: sitting here with tears in your eyes right now, and
- 5:50Speaker 2: that to me shows this is a legend that the
- 5:54Speaker 2: world will honor his. And then and then the heartbreak
- 5:58Speaker 2: of the other victims. I love. It's okay, I know,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and I want to say there are other people. Obviously
- 6:04Speaker 2: we know there were, you know, other people on the helicopter.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Other families that are I've watched the news with all
- 6:09Speaker 2: these different families.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Alto with his wife and his daughter, but all of
- 6:14Speaker 1: the victims of.
- 6:14Speaker 2: This, of this horrific, horrific, but you can't even process
- 6:20Speaker 2: it as somebody like myself who isn't connected to Kobe
- 6:23Speaker 2: Bryant in that way as a family member. I feel
- 6:27Speaker 2: for for the victims, for the families, for the heartbreak,
- 6:30Speaker 2: for the children, and and and and I don't even
- 6:33Speaker 2: know what to say. And I'm watching you with tears
- 6:35Speaker 2: and ears, but I want to say this, Kobe Bryant
- 6:39Speaker 2: and all of the people, but Kobe Bryant, what an
- 6:43Speaker 2: effect he has had on me, somebody who's not even
- 6:47Speaker 2: a sports person. And I'm gonna let you jump back
- 6:49Speaker 2: in here because I want you to. I want you
- 6:51Speaker 2: to share your feelings because you shared them with me
- 6:52Speaker 2: last night, the last two days. Yesterday, sorry, yesterday, you
- 6:57Speaker 2: couldn't really get out of bed. I mean you were
- 7:00Speaker 2: laying in Betterson. I'm maybe let's go to dinner. You said,
- 7:03Speaker 2: I am really in a dark place right now. That's
- 7:05Speaker 2: what you said to me.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, And for me, like Kobe Bryant, when when you
- 7:09Speaker 1: think about like your first love, when you're a kid,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you see someone on TV and you're like, I'm in
- 7:14Speaker 1: love with that person. Kobe Bryant was that for me.
- 7:18Speaker 1: I was a basketball player up until junior high and
- 7:21Speaker 1: like I just wanted to be athletic like him. I
- 7:25Speaker 1: thought he was the most fascinating human being. I used
- 7:29Speaker 1: to google him twenty four to seven. I knew everything
- 7:31Speaker 1: about him. I would make books about him. And I
- 7:34Speaker 1: just you know, the night that it happened, or the
- 7:37Speaker 1: morning that it happened. That night, I just kept waking up,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and you were next to me, and it was just like,
- 7:43Speaker 1: I know, baby, it's okay to think about his wife, who.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it's left behind to be strong up with him again. No,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and to be and and her daughter led all.
- 7:56Speaker 1: These people, but that I can kind of the families
- 7:59Speaker 1: lost their sister, their mom and their dad. It's just truly.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Well, I listen, I listen. I listen to the coach
- 8:08Speaker 2: and and and and I listened to the coach who
- 8:10Speaker 2: lost his wife and has has I think four kids.
- 8:13Speaker 2: And he said, I just don't know how I'm going
- 8:15Speaker 2: to go on without without a wife, without a mother
- 8:18Speaker 2: for my children. I cannot and I cannot and I
- 8:21Speaker 2: and I've shed a lot of tears over this, watching
- 8:24Speaker 2: you and myself just emotionally how catastrophic this is. I
- 8:29Speaker 2: cannot imagine, uh, what these people, how they're going to
- 8:33Speaker 2: pick the pieces up, and I just want to send
- 8:35Speaker 2: prayers to each and every one of them, every family member,
- 8:39Speaker 2: and to the world and to the world for the
- 8:41Speaker 2: compassion that our world has showed these people.
- 8:44Speaker 1: Oh, we're all getting choked.
- 8:46Speaker 2: It's uh, it's it's just it's heartbreak. I just want
- 8:49Speaker 2: to say that, I just everybody. It seems like the
- 8:52Speaker 2: world is coming together over this and and and there's.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Very like cliche to be like, live every day grateful,
- 9:00Speaker 1: but I'm telling you you guys, as someone who has
- 9:02Speaker 1: lost a parent, which I'm sure there are many of
- 9:04Speaker 1: you who.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Have had that.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Sister, just lost a friend, it is earth shattering and
- 9:10Speaker 1: for real, you just have to walk this earth with
- 9:13Speaker 1: your head held high and be so grateful every day moment.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So Kobe Bryant, you will be extremely missed, brother, and
- 9:21Speaker 1: your beautiful daughter, and.
- 9:23Speaker 2: All the families and all the victims families. We just
- 9:26Speaker 2: send our love, and everybody listening just take off second
- 9:30Speaker 2: and and send your love outside. I'm gonna segue here.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I don't know how we sege be your note, We're
- 9:37Speaker 1: gonna try.
- 9:38Speaker 2: YEA.
- 9:39Speaker 1: So we are in Ohio filming a movie called Open Source.
- 9:44Speaker 1: We have yours truly, La La Kent. We have Jesse Metcac,
- 9:49Speaker 1: we have the infamous Bruce Willis, but we also have
- 9:54Speaker 1: the badass of all bad asses. Oh God, Natalie Eva Marie.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Oh Natalie. Anyway, Natalie. I got to tell you, this
- 10:04Speaker 2: is my second movie with Natalie. We did another movie
- 10:06Speaker 2: called Inconceivable, and that's where we met. And she is
- 10:10Speaker 2: such a talent, first of all, an any woman that's
- 10:13Speaker 2: wrestling and could kick any man's ass.
- 10:17Speaker 1: She's I did my fitting with her, you guys, and
- 10:21Speaker 1: as she was like putting her stuff on, I was like,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I really need to stop eating Nacho's Belgrande at one
- 10:29Speaker 1: in the morning because that bod that she works on
- 10:33Speaker 1: twenty four second, she's just a freaking athlete, dude.
- 10:37Speaker 2: She is. It's so crazy because her Instagram, you know,
- 10:40Speaker 2: obviously we're friends with her and we follow her. You know,
- 10:43Speaker 2: I get pissed off because I'm like, dude, I'm like
- 10:46Speaker 2: chunky monkey and I look at her on this Gram
- 10:50Speaker 2: and she's got i mean, like inverted body fat. She's
- 10:52Speaker 2: got inverted body fat. I've got extroverted body fat, like
- 10:57Speaker 2: I have a six pack. I know what's beneath about
- 10:59Speaker 2: the eight and a half pounds of fat on my stomach.
- 11:01Speaker 2: But but the thing is, she is like, I mean,
- 11:05Speaker 2: I don't even know what it is.
- 11:06Speaker 1: It's she works hard, dude, but hardy.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Herd is like hard is like you go to the
- 11:11Speaker 2: gym and you like I, I flex a few times.
- 11:14Speaker 1: This bitch tells me she's like squatting two hundred pounds.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I'm like, what, Yeah, she told us that. By the way,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I don't even know what that means because I don't
- 11:23Speaker 2: go to the gym. It's obviously clearly looking and I
- 11:25Speaker 2: was like, what is a squat No, I know how
- 11:26Speaker 2: to get the dunkin donuts about.
- 11:30Speaker 3: That's a me.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But listen, listen. I give her respect. But here's the thing.
- 11:34Speaker 2: She's gonna bust my balls a little bit because I
- 11:37Speaker 2: call her up in panic when my fat role gets
- 11:39Speaker 2: to be too much. And I okay with that.
- 11:41Speaker 1: She said it in the car, bro you don't do anything.
- 11:43Speaker 3: You don't go to the gym.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You try to eat healthy like stuff.
- 11:46Speaker 2: I made plants. Wait, I made baby, I made plans.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I made plans with all of you to go to
- 11:50Speaker 2: the gym the other day. And here's the thing. I
- 11:52Speaker 2: went to the store and I bought all the ship
- 11:53Speaker 2: I bought the shoes, the shirts. Look in the other room,
- 11:55Speaker 2: I have all the sweatpants.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'll show you the shoes. You're wearing those geriatric motherfuckers.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Okay, that's fucking that's hateful. You're pissing me off. Now
- 12:02Speaker 2: you're doing that bullshit again. Lalla. Those are those are
- 12:06Speaker 2: hookahs or hookahs or hookahs? Those are Yeah, those are
- 12:10Speaker 2: professional running shoes. Why don't you get la la right? No, no, no,
- 12:14Speaker 2: I want to I'm not letting you get off this point.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Listen to me real quick. No, you can't just take
- 12:18Speaker 2: a dig and move on. I want to say something
- 12:20Speaker 2: about my shoes. Okay, okay, we don't all have to
- 12:23Speaker 2: look like a runway model every single day. Sometimes I
- 12:27Speaker 2: want to just feel comfortable. So my hookah shoes or
- 12:30Speaker 2: hookah wherever they're called, are bad ass, and you should
- 12:34Speaker 2: be respectful that I have to walk around a lot
- 12:36Speaker 2: on the set and I need comfortable shoes. I am
- 12:39Speaker 2: not in a runway model show. And second of all,
- 12:43Speaker 2: I have the effort and commitment to work out mentally
- 12:47Speaker 2: up here just physically. My body doesn't go to the gym,
- 12:50Speaker 2: so Natalie, and you need to back off on this
- 12:53Speaker 2: episode and not talking about it.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I've off for a long time, you guys.
- 13:00Speaker 2: All right, wait, can I ask you a question?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Ask me the question, and I want to get these voices.
- 13:03Speaker 2: We can I ask you a question. What do you think?
- 13:06Speaker 2: Don't okay this fucking attitude, I't het. Here's tell me,
- 13:08Speaker 2: I am never recording a podcast with you ever again
- 13:11Speaker 2: during your time in the month. I swear on myself.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Never you think I'm joking, I will not do this again. Now,
- 13:17Speaker 2: I want to tell you one thing. I put on
- 13:20Speaker 2: my jeans today, but my loose ones, okay, and they
- 13:24Speaker 2: became skinny jeans. That's a problem. We have a problem, Houston.
- 13:29Speaker 1: We have a problem.
- 13:30Speaker 2: So I'm ready for an intervention in.
- 13:33Speaker 1: All right, should we podcast your intervention?
- 13:35Speaker 2: That'd be no, no, no, I'm not looking to go
- 13:37Speaker 2: publicitive you think.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Okay, honey, I'm an alcoholic. An intervention that kind of
- 13:42Speaker 1: intervention is like child part right. All right, you guys,
- 13:46Speaker 1: we have amazing voicemails. Let's start with number one.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Hi, Lala, Hi Randall. I'm a huge fan of the show.
- 13:55Speaker 4: So my question goes out to both of you. When
- 13:59Speaker 4: you guys first late eyes on each other. What was
- 14:02Speaker 4: the first thought that came through your mind.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It's like, let me think about that.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Remember me when I didn't show you my PMS bitch face,
- 14:12Speaker 1: when you've ripped my head off the very first time ever, let.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Me go back in time. I have to really think.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I remember.
- 14:21Speaker 2: I'll definitely sleep another.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I remember you, Like when I first saw you, you
- 14:28Speaker 1: had like your voice is very sexy. I've always said that,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and you had the face for radio No, but let's
- 14:35Speaker 1: be for real. And then your mannerisms. I was like,
- 14:38Speaker 1: this guy has a lot of swag. You always so
- 14:41Speaker 1: that white guy.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Okay, well you didn't say that.
- 14:45Speaker 1: No, you had mad swag and you were so sweet
- 14:48Speaker 1: to me. And I was like, all right, I need
- 14:49Speaker 1: to hit that. And then I hit that.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yeah this is what you thought.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yes, and I think this is nice that. I was like,
- 14:58Speaker 1: he's been look is this. I got to hit that,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and then I need to bag that. And after we
- 15:04Speaker 1: were in separate.
- 15:04Speaker 2: So your line was I got to hit it and
- 15:06Speaker 2: then bag it. Yeah, so that's how you looked at me.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I got to put in that good good so that
- 15:10Speaker 1: I can really you know what that.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Sounds like what, you're robbing a fucking bank.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Well, you know, it was kind of like, oh, this
- 15:17Speaker 1: is so whacked.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Okay, all right now, I guess that's your what. Well
- 15:21Speaker 2: mine was a little different because I'm a romantic. Oh
- 15:24Speaker 2: tell me, I saw you, and I I felt a
- 15:27Speaker 2: very deep connection to you, and I felt very connected
- 15:31Speaker 2: and I didn't want to be away from you. Oh
- 15:35Speaker 2: I didn't want to hit it and bag it. I mean,
- 15:41Speaker 2: I mean I never ever heard of that. I mean,
- 15:42Speaker 2: you know, what, do me a favorite next time, bab
- 15:44Speaker 2: when somebody asked something like that, can you just drop
- 15:45Speaker 2: both those? Yeah, just say something romantic and then I'll
- 15:50Speaker 2: do the next question and I'll start the answer because
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm freaked out right now you want to hit and
- 15:55Speaker 2: bag me? I mean it's like hit it and tag
- 15:57Speaker 2: it or bag it and tag it. The question is
- 16:01Speaker 2: Kai Lala.
- 16:01Speaker 5: I'm a huge fan from Connecticut. I was just calling
- 16:05Speaker 5: in because I was wondering. I know you and randall
- 16:09Speaker 5: got a lot of shit when you first started dating.
- 16:12Speaker 5: For your age different and my boyfriend is significantly older,
- 16:16Speaker 5: and I was just wondering if you had any advice
- 16:19Speaker 5: for dealing with family and friends, which is don't approve it. Again,
- 16:24Speaker 5: huge fans of both of you. I'm so happy that
- 16:26Speaker 5: Rand's on the show, and so congratulations on your wedding. Thanks.
- 16:31Speaker 1: This one is a little hard for me because my
- 16:34Speaker 1: family always approved, didn't have that issue. I didn't have that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: My family's very much like I brought home some sketchy
- 16:40Speaker 1: dudes before Rand, and they were like even accepting of that.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Okay, so but yes, I mean, but the truth is
- 16:46Speaker 2: your family and I met I remember meeting your family.
- 16:48Speaker 2: They were they were as welcoming like they didn't even
- 16:53Speaker 2: there was no they didn't even think. There was never
- 16:54Speaker 2: a conversation about their age.
- 16:56Speaker 1: They knew if he's good to you, that's what it is.
- 16:58Speaker 2: But let me but let me give you my advice
- 17:00Speaker 2: because because even though.
- 17:01Speaker 1: We haven't had parents, we've got a lot of people
- 17:04Speaker 1: that I like a lot. I think it's so weird.
- 17:06Speaker 2: I agree with that, and a lot of people have
- 17:07Speaker 2: talk shit. But but here's what I want to say.
- 17:09Speaker 2: At the end of the day, in your life, you're
- 17:11Speaker 2: gonna put your head down on the pillow with the
- 17:13Speaker 2: person you love. And if you're living for other people's opinions,
- 17:18Speaker 2: those people obviously have their own issues. And if you
- 17:21Speaker 2: love your man the way I assume you do, and
- 17:24Speaker 2: you put your head down next to him and that's
- 17:26Speaker 2: where you feel the safest, then then you then you
- 17:29Speaker 2: do that, and you do you because at the end
- 17:31Speaker 2: of your life, you're gonna have a smile on your
- 17:33Speaker 2: face and the rest of this.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They're all going to fall into place, exactly. They're all
- 17:36Speaker 1: going to see you happy. And it may take some time, but.
- 17:39Speaker 2: It eventually goes away. It goes away.
- 17:41Speaker 1: But if you have your soulmate, the time is worth it.
- 17:44Speaker 2: And let me say one last thing. People talked a
- 17:46Speaker 2: lot of shit, as you guys all know. Baby, I mean, oh.
- 17:49Speaker 1: He's like your dad, but you didn't that's my favorite one.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Well, law, you also didn't help the cause with all
- 17:55Speaker 2: the bullshit you say. I was like, ooh, daddy, all right,
- 17:58Speaker 2: maybe okay, this is the part where I want to
- 18:00Speaker 2: make it. Give them laala without Randall.
- 18:02Speaker 1: No, you're stuck with me, all right, babe.
- 18:04Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is that a lot of people
- 18:06Speaker 2: said a lot of shit to us, and I think people,
- 18:08Speaker 2: over time, we prove them wrong. And I hope that
- 18:10Speaker 2: you stick with your boyfriend and whatever people give you.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Prove them wrong the fling in the world.
- 18:16Speaker 2: And I agree, and it's it's just you know what,
- 18:18Speaker 2: people will fall on line and at the end of
- 18:20Speaker 2: the day.
- 18:21Speaker 1: That's that I am so when they were like, you
- 18:24Speaker 1: guys are never gonna make it. He's never going to
- 18:26Speaker 1: marry you, and then I was like, that was like
- 18:28Speaker 1: this rigged bitch. Okay again, there's still time for him
- 18:32Speaker 1: to leave me. We better head to the court house.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Okay, let's do this, because I am so excited that
- 18:39Speaker 2: a friend of both of ours and also an incredible actress,
- 18:42Speaker 2: an incredible ww superstar.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Great actress everything, our friend, a sober sister of.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Mine, sober sister of yours, our friend Natalie Eva.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Natalie Eva Maria.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yes, that's right.
- 19:08Speaker 1: We knew right off the bat. I was like, we're
- 19:11Speaker 1: having Eva do this because you're a freaking badass. You're
- 19:16Speaker 1: like what you're like wrestling? Then I've read that you
- 19:19Speaker 1: like played soccer. Your body's banging like no.
- 19:23Speaker 3: I can't no hold on man.
- 19:24Speaker 7: First of all, for everybody that's listening, first of all,
- 19:26Speaker 7: you guys were on like literally location right, I'm doing
- 19:29Speaker 7: a movie with Laala.
- 19:30Speaker 2: First of all.
- 19:31Speaker 7: Second of all, the full circle of everything. Randall gave
- 19:33Speaker 7: me my first movie, shout out, shout.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Out to out.
- 19:38Speaker 2: By the way, I gave her first movie Badass. I
- 19:41Speaker 2: was lucky to get you early on, and I just
- 19:44Speaker 2: want to say that we became friends, you and your husband,
- 19:47Speaker 2: and I want to say that now this is full circle.
- 19:50Speaker 2: As you say, we're sitting here in the hotel room
- 19:53Speaker 2: of another production that we're doing together with my fiance.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I mean, this is just cool as shit.
- 19:57Speaker 3: It is. It's actually very very cool.
- 19:59Speaker 7: Yeah, only that, But I have to say, inconceivable is
- 20:02Speaker 7: bomb so bomb.
- 20:03Speaker 3: You can watch it on Netflix.
- 20:04Speaker 7: Holler, and it's with Nicholas Cage.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Wait wait wait, and then you just go down that
- 20:11Speaker 2: and then you just go from that, you jump back over.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Now you with Bruce Walls and.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Little stars out here, you're gonna be like the female
- 20:20Speaker 1: version of the Rock Stop it.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yes right, yes, yes, so so a couple of things,
- 20:25Speaker 2: because you know, I was intrigued because IVE asked you
- 20:27Speaker 2: one hundred questions back in the day. For sure, I
- 20:30Speaker 2: just want you just get a snapshot of like how
- 20:32Speaker 2: did you be calm? W W fucking because I just
- 20:36Speaker 2: think it's the most intriguing story because people see you
- 20:39Speaker 2: you're a superstar and they think, oh, you just jumped
- 20:40Speaker 2: in a Superstarum no, yes.
- 20:42Speaker 7: Tell us how kind of the evolution short story version
- 20:46Speaker 7: because it's long. Obviously the grind, the hustle is real.
- 20:51Speaker 7: So the the goal was to be a professional soccer player.
- 20:54Speaker 7: So that was like the whole youngest of three boys,
- 20:57Speaker 7: like very much tomboy. But w W came in because
- 21:03Speaker 7: after I finished school, tore my legm into my ankle,
- 21:05Speaker 7: so that dream was shattered, right, So then moved to
- 21:08Speaker 7: LA because I wasn't ready to go and dabble in
- 21:10Speaker 7: the business corporate world. Moved to LA and dabbled in
- 21:14Speaker 7: a little bit of modeling and acting, and I was like, oh.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I like it over here.
- 21:17Speaker 7: I like like I like this. My dad always being
- 21:20Speaker 7: like when are you gonna.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Get a real job?
- 21:23Speaker 2: You know that.
- 21:24Speaker 7: So that whole thing, and especially because education to my
- 21:27Speaker 7: parents was like every like it's just like they didn't
- 21:31Speaker 7: they didn't go to college. So it was very much
- 21:33Speaker 7: something that I feel like parents just want to give
- 21:36Speaker 7: whatever they did not have, you know.
- 21:39Speaker 3: So, and obviously as I.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Get older and older, I really appreciate my parents. Like
- 21:43Speaker 7: day I'm with them, so moved to l A and
- 21:52Speaker 7: like literally was getting just enough gigs to hold on
- 21:58Speaker 7: to the pipe drink just scrap because technically not really
- 22:03Speaker 7: because I was doing the bottle service and waitress, doing
- 22:07Speaker 7: auditioning and during the day doing it off Hollywood dream yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 3: Right up, straight up.
- 22:12Speaker 7: So then all of a sudden, boom w W came
- 22:15Speaker 7: into town and I got and by this time I'd
- 22:17Speaker 7: already been on so many auditions, so it was just
- 22:19Speaker 7: like another one, no big deal, nothing, like I did
- 22:22Speaker 7: not see casting open call, Well I got it.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I was in a minor.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Like boutiquish type agency because I had done a fitness
- 22:32Speaker 7: competition and I want it, so that was like the perk.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but let me ask question. So you go to
- 22:38Speaker 2: an open call with.
- 22:39Speaker 3: Hundreds hundreds, how does the audition? So I walk into
- 22:43Speaker 3: the HQ right and then I'm looking around and I'm like, oh, holdly, what.
- 22:46Speaker 7: The I'm like, whoa, This is straight up w w
- 22:50Speaker 7: F that I used to watch with my brothers back
- 22:52Speaker 7: in the day. So then it's starting to like really click,
- 22:54Speaker 7: like what's really going on here?
- 22:56Speaker 3: And I'm like damn.
- 22:57Speaker 7: Because I shared a room with one of my brothers
- 23:00Speaker 7: and we had bunk beds, so we're dropping, like, you know,
- 23:03Speaker 7: doing the whole deal.
- 23:05Speaker 3: So I'm like, wow, this is wild. So immediately I'm
- 23:07Speaker 3: like on Google.
- 23:08Speaker 7: Right, trying to do a little research, and I'm like, wow,
- 23:11Speaker 7: this actually has everything infused into one spot. So I mean,
- 23:15Speaker 7: at this point in my time, I had nothing to lose.
- 23:17Speaker 3: So here we go.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Now you're on the stage. Audition.
- 23:20Speaker 7: Audition, got a call back, totally left thinking like, there's
- 23:24Speaker 7: so many girls you know, and like and it's la,
- 23:27Speaker 7: there's so many so you never know.
- 23:29Speaker 3: And so anyways, call back, call back, call back, in front.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Of multiples, multiple Yeah, there were like four.
- 23:34Speaker 7: You said, yeah, four and then an interring Uh no,
- 23:37Speaker 7: the fourth one wasn't injuring physicality.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Tryout, Oh my god, how does that work?
- 23:41Speaker 7: Well, first, let me get to the one I don't
- 23:42Speaker 7: want to go the one prior to that one, I
- 23:44Speaker 7: walk into all the yes men. So those those those
- 23:48Speaker 7: guys are the ones that are like literally hammering me
- 23:51Speaker 7: questions and lights, camera action.
- 23:53Speaker 3: You walk into a room and I'm like this with
- 23:56Speaker 3: a mic standing up there.
- 23:58Speaker 1: How many people?
- 23:59Speaker 3: How many dudes were there's uh, there's women in there
- 24:01Speaker 3: as well.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Okay, people waiting for your answer maybe twelve.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Wow, that's including cameramen. They're just firing, firing like.
- 24:11Speaker 7: Left and right, left and right, like like literally, you know,
- 24:14Speaker 7: it was It was so wild because I'd never experienced
- 24:17Speaker 7: something like that.
- 24:18Speaker 3: But I do think God puts you in a.
- 24:21Speaker 7: Place at the right time, right. It's just like timing
- 24:25Speaker 7: in my life and everything. And I was like, bringing on,
- 24:27Speaker 7: let's go because I had nothing to hide. I had
- 24:29Speaker 7: already been through a ton in my life. So and
- 24:34Speaker 7: I have tough skin, like I have all older brothers,
- 24:36Speaker 7: So you don't think.
- 24:37Speaker 3: They pick on me. I don't think that I got.
- 24:44Speaker 7: Totally you're trying to prove like, no, I'm alpha, I'm alpha.
- 24:47Speaker 7: I'm so it was totally easy, breezy, and I walked
- 24:53Speaker 7: out of there not really feeling like, oh I think
- 24:55Speaker 7: I nailed it or anything like that.
- 24:56Speaker 3: I just kind of gave it up.
- 24:58Speaker 1: And well, like you said, it was just like any
- 25:00Speaker 1: other audition you had been totally money that. It was
- 25:02Speaker 1: just like another yeah, for.
- 25:04Speaker 3: Sure, checkbox now.
- 25:07Speaker 7: So then, and it was wild because the separation and
- 25:12Speaker 7: time was insane. It was super long, so like it
- 25:17Speaker 7: was months what so by the third to the in
- 25:21Speaker 7: ring physicality.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Tryout was like maybe two and a half three.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Oh, at this one, I would think he gets ship.
- 25:26Speaker 3: I would I forgot about it.
- 25:28Speaker 2: No, I would even I forgot about it.
- 25:29Speaker 3: What I mean completely do you get a phone call?
- 25:31Speaker 3: So I get a phone call?
- 25:32Speaker 7: And I made it back to the fourth and final audition,
- 25:36Speaker 7: which is in ring physicality and what that means. They
- 25:38Speaker 7: narrowed it down to I believe it was at the
- 25:40Speaker 7: time fourteen or fifteen girls.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I have a question. I have a question. Well,
- 25:45Speaker 2: first of all, going in, do you feel, not knowing
- 25:48Speaker 2: about this, that you are fit enough for this? Like
- 25:51Speaker 2: were you already an athlete like you are now, meaning
- 25:53Speaker 2: were you still in the shape ready to go?
- 25:55Speaker 3: Fitness was definitely like still a part of me.
- 25:58Speaker 7: However, when it comes to a sport wrestling, never in
- 26:02Speaker 7: my life except like horsing around with my brothers, you know.
- 26:07Speaker 7: So that was definitely intimidating and scary because I've never
- 26:10Speaker 7: in my life like.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Hit ropes Like what No, that is totally and I
- 26:17Speaker 3: was like intimidated in that manner. But then the first
- 26:22Speaker 3: day it was wild.
- 26:24Speaker 7: So we're doing like four rolls, backward roles and for me,
- 26:28Speaker 7: I'm a field athlete.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I like both seet on the floor. So immediately I.
- 26:34Speaker 8: Was like, what the this is so hard?
- 26:39Speaker 7: Like it was insane. And then four girls immediately right yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 7: because they're they're not.
- 26:46Speaker 2: They can't even they couldn't even hold well.
- 26:48Speaker 7: And like not and I don't if anything, I'm like,
- 26:51Speaker 7: good for you because they're like, yeah, not happening.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I'm not going to get slapped. Cool, I'm not going
- 26:55Speaker 3: to take a clothes line. No, you want me to
- 26:56Speaker 3: do a back bump, I don't think.
- 26:58Speaker 1: So they left on their own.
- 26:59Speaker 3: They were like yeah, they're like no, no, you're down to
- 27:01Speaker 3: eight or seven now.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Now we're down to I think eight, okay yea, and
- 27:05Speaker 7: how long does this?
- 27:07Speaker 3: So four weeks?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Four weeks, four weeks of U after a.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Day and they're teaching you literally like.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Keep going.
- 27:18Speaker 7: You were very wait, actually, you guys, I love your
- 27:24Speaker 7: goddamn podcast.
- 27:25Speaker 3: First of all, I didn't even say that.
- 27:27Speaker 7: I didn't even say thank you so much for having
- 27:29Speaker 7: me on, because when I watch or watched, I feel
- 27:32Speaker 7: like I.
- 27:32Speaker 3: Actually visioning you guys.
- 27:35Speaker 7: Yeah, you guys actually need to throw this on YouTube
- 27:38Speaker 7: so people can see it, because they would be that's
- 27:41Speaker 7: another little money little thing, Randall.
- 27:44Speaker 8: I know you like my nave that, but it is
- 27:52Speaker 8: seriously so good, Like I hadn't seen you guys in
- 27:56Speaker 8: in a minute, and so I just listened to your
- 27:59Speaker 8: little sneak peek, like what's it come, you know?
- 28:02Speaker 7: And then obviously the first episode and I was like,
- 28:05Speaker 7: oh my god, they're the same, like straight up.
- 28:08Speaker 1: You're like by you love it.
- 28:11Speaker 2: People understand that this is no.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I know, it is so good to it.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Thank you for being on it.
- 28:17Speaker 3: It is Oh no, I'm super stoked.
- 28:20Speaker 2: You're like family. So it's like you already Mexican Italian.
- 28:23Speaker 3: I love to talk, give me a give me a mic.
- 28:26Speaker 2: We are dropping the mic. Okay here more. Okay, you're
- 28:32Speaker 2: exciting for people because I mean, come on, become a
- 28:34Speaker 2: w W superstar and they.
- 28:36Speaker 3: Don't do the Diva search anymore. They don't know they
- 28:38Speaker 3: took it out. They don't even we're not even called
- 28:40Speaker 3: divas anymore. We're all called w W superstars. Wow, you
- 28:43Speaker 3: know equality, equality you go so now, so.
- 28:48Speaker 7: Now we're in the in in ring part right, and
- 28:50Speaker 7: it's like, okay, each day is obviously different. But the
- 28:53Speaker 7: first like three days after my initial first week, I
- 28:58Speaker 7: literally cannot lift my like I was staying with at
- 29:01Speaker 7: the time when I got the job. I was living
- 29:04Speaker 7: with my girlfriend and she had those little baby gates
- 29:06Speaker 7: or the doggy gates or whatever because she.
- 29:08Speaker 3: Had little dogs.
- 29:09Speaker 7: I could not get over it. I had to lift
- 29:11Speaker 7: my leg with my that's how bad. And new muscles,
- 29:17Speaker 7: all new muscles that were being worked that I had
- 29:19Speaker 7: never in a million years even thought I even had.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Wow, So it was insane.
- 29:25Speaker 7: But anyway, so basically, you do the in ring, try
- 29:27Speaker 7: out to see if you can handle the physicality and.
- 29:29Speaker 3: If they like you and see potential.
- 29:31Speaker 7: And all that really promised you was you could hopefully
- 29:35Speaker 7: at the end get a developmental deal. You got a shot,
- 29:38Speaker 7: a shot right to learn how to wrestle. They take
- 29:41Speaker 7: the acting classes, create your character will help guide you.
- 29:44Speaker 7: And then you're also traveling and doing live shows for
- 29:48Speaker 7: like ten people, setting up a ring like doing the deal.
- 29:51Speaker 3: So that's the development. It's a grind. It's a grind.
- 29:54Speaker 7: So then after those four weeks, that's what everybody's trying
- 29:57Speaker 7: out for, that's what everyone's.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Hoping for, just that development. Yes, okay, four of us
- 30:01Speaker 3: got it.
- 30:02Speaker 2: The developmental contret so you're cell right, and that's a
- 30:04Speaker 2: big deal. I'd i'd be off the chop the charts.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Yeah, all like so like life changing. This was everything.
- 30:12Speaker 7: Meanwhile, I had met Jonathan now my husband, four weeks,
- 30:16Speaker 7: five weeks before I started my in ring physicality.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Oh so two months you've been dating at this point, right,
- 30:21Speaker 2: four or five weeks before?
- 30:22Speaker 3: Four week probably now three months, two two months.
- 30:26Speaker 7: So I met him like right, like literally right before.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Just because he's, by the way, the nicest human being
- 30:34Speaker 2: on the planet. And another, by the way, those of
- 30:39Speaker 2: you that don't know Natalie's husband, you look him up
- 30:42Speaker 2: on the ground. Okay, dude is shredded superstar like superhero
- 30:46Speaker 2: Superman again, not like my jelly rolls, but nicest guy
- 30:50Speaker 2: on the planet. Nice. I love him, And I know
- 30:53Speaker 2: he's your business partner. And you guys, you guys have
- 30:55Speaker 2: a huge brand company and all that stuff. But but
- 30:57Speaker 2: go ahead, so how did you guys meet?
- 30:58Speaker 3: We met actually on the gram.
- 31:01Speaker 7: He has a whole nother story like how how I
- 31:04Speaker 7: went down, But basically it started with a like and
- 31:10Speaker 7: this was and this was right before Instagram, but you
- 31:12Speaker 7: couldn't even DM anybody, and and and you couldn't. Uh,
- 31:17Speaker 7: Instagram was only four Apple phones.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Do you remember that? I know that I didn't know.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I didn't. I got it late late the game.
- 31:22Speaker 7: So it was like super brand, like super I remember
- 31:26Speaker 7: how many followers he had because I was like, who
- 31:28Speaker 7: is he had twenty five k and I was like.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Who is he?
- 31:31Speaker 2: Wow?
- 31:32Speaker 5: I had?
- 31:33Speaker 3: I had? I had, I had five? Yeah, see you doubles? Okay, baby,
- 31:40Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 31:41Speaker 7: So I saw all of a sudden, I saw this
- 31:44Speaker 7: dude that I had never seen before, like a couple
- 31:47Speaker 7: of photos and they weren't like the thirst photos of
- 31:50Speaker 7: like bikini like nah, it was it was the book
- 31:57Speaker 7: the Five Level Languages.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Can I tell you? He liked the fact that I
- 32:00Speaker 1: posted probably didn't have his many likes, so he's like,
- 32:02Speaker 1: I got to like the ones because then she'll notice.
- 32:04Speaker 3: Something he had. Ye jan smart.
- 32:09Speaker 7: That's why I literally married the guy because he's smart.
- 32:11Speaker 2: I know him. I don't look at thinking, yeah, it's
- 32:14Speaker 2: all up here besides the fact that it's a flawless physique,
- 32:18Speaker 2: but yes, the guy is very upstairs.
- 32:20Speaker 3: Oh he's going to love you guys for this.
- 32:21Speaker 7: He's going to be like, yeah, make sure you tune into.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Love.
- 32:30Speaker 3: But so that's kind of how it went down.
- 32:32Speaker 7: And then he likes linked up shot me his email
- 32:35Speaker 7: in a comment, and then we were emailing back and forth.
- 32:39Speaker 3: No, we might not actually across the gym.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Real, so ship, I would never meet it a freaking
- 32:46Speaker 2: gym for a day because I couldn't get through six.
- 32:48Speaker 1: When I was dating. If you weren't giving me alcohol,
- 32:50Speaker 1: I wasn't showing up.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Okay, well that okay again, things some things could be
- 32:54Speaker 2: left unsaid. Thank you very much for that, la la okay.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Question.
- 33:01Speaker 1: When you were auditioned to WW, were they casting that
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know of four Total Divas? Were they looking for
- 33:11Speaker 1: the next Total Diva?
- 33:12Speaker 7: No, so I did not know of Total Diva, so
- 33:16Speaker 7: that all kind of goes into the same timeframe. So
- 33:20Speaker 7: they were casting at that time, but they did not
- 33:23Speaker 7: make it like public. It was more in house. So
- 33:26Speaker 7: WW was trying to decide whether or not they already
- 33:29Speaker 7: had who they were going to have on the cast.
- 33:30Speaker 7: So they really only needed two more girls, and they
- 33:33Speaker 7: were originally going to bring up two NXT girls up
- 33:37Speaker 7: on the main roster as well as be a part
- 33:39Speaker 7: of Total Divas. Then I have no idea where the
- 33:44Speaker 7: shift happened. But the shift happened, thank God in my favor.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Else I want to be sitting where somebody somehow said,
- 33:54Speaker 7: you know, what would be great is to have two
- 33:57Speaker 7: brand new girls, fresh that know nothing about the business.
- 34:02Speaker 2: How long wa WD are you a developmental girl? When
- 34:05Speaker 2: they make this call?
- 34:06Speaker 3: I got my job within forty eight hours, so I
- 34:08Speaker 3: got my developmental deal. So they got offered four.
- 34:10Speaker 7: So I told Jonathan like, oh my god, kay whatever
- 34:13Speaker 7: you know, like, I got it, I got it, I
- 34:15Speaker 7: got it. Then I get a call saying, hey, by
- 34:17Speaker 7: the way, since you live in La, do you mind
- 34:19Speaker 7: going in on this audition slash interview can't really tell
- 34:22Speaker 7: you exactly what it is.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Is that in the other And I was like, yeah, sure,
- 34:26Speaker 3: so I go in.
- 34:26Speaker 7: It's being a Murray, so everybody knows Murray's makes road
- 34:32Speaker 7: rural road rules.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Kardashians, Kardashians. That's all you got it, That's all I
- 34:36Speaker 3: gotta do, say.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Murray, the original, original and real World, the pioneer of reality.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Totally there.
- 34:44Speaker 2: You go. Tell us because when I met you at
- 34:54Speaker 2: your agent William wore Brad a mutual friend, he had
- 34:59Speaker 2: told because he represents the rock ye and brought the
- 35:02Speaker 2: Rock up. Just tell me kind of your Rock like
- 35:05Speaker 2: relationship history, like it's cool like whatever mentor whatever it is.
- 35:09Speaker 7: It honestly like the whole WWE kind of experience. I
- 35:15Speaker 7: guess how I walked into that specific job at that
- 35:19Speaker 7: specific time was all I guess.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I don't want to say dream because that's so cliche.
- 35:23Speaker 3: It is, but it's so not like it will not
- 35:26Speaker 3: happen again.
- 35:27Speaker 7: So some like to someone when they don't do the
- 35:29Speaker 7: Diva searches number two Total Divas is on.
- 35:31Speaker 3: It's probably way out right.
- 35:35Speaker 1: As long as vander Pump eight eight Wow.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Okay, so that world is different today. But came into
- 35:43Speaker 2: it like the Rock was just like like just explaination.
- 35:46Speaker 7: No, he wasn't because he was already transitioned, so he
- 35:49Speaker 7: was never.
- 35:49Speaker 3: On the road.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yes, she had John Cena.
- 35:52Speaker 7: John Cena was on the road with us wow constantly.
- 35:55Speaker 7: So he was the only one. Rock would only come
- 35:57Speaker 7: back like radical exactly for like a big moment.
- 36:00Speaker 2: What do you mean, like you're you're you're an actress
- 36:04Speaker 2: or a brand, a wrestler or everything, and the Rock
- 36:07Speaker 2: shows up twenty million dollar movie stars slash wrestlers. Does
- 36:11Speaker 2: he just come to hang out with you and like
- 36:12Speaker 2: shoot the ship. Do you go to the gym and
- 36:14Speaker 2: pump iron? Do you lift weights? What do you do?
- 36:16Speaker 7: I mean not when I was there. I mean he
- 36:18Speaker 7: might have been. He might have, but not my days.
- 36:20Speaker 7: My days is he has his you know, room, and
- 36:23Speaker 7: he it's like social to get in and do his
- 36:27Speaker 7: job and then get out because Simon is money and
- 36:30Speaker 7: he's busy totally. So I remember like passing out a
- 36:35Speaker 7: WrestleMania and I'm this when I passed Brad.
- 36:38Speaker 3: But I didn't know it was Brad at the time.
- 36:41Speaker 7: And that was like the first time that I said hello.
- 36:43Speaker 7: So it was like an awesome like just a normal
- 36:46Speaker 7: encounter instead of you don't want to be like.
- 36:50Speaker 2: You want to be door, No, I don't want to be.
- 36:53Speaker 3: No, you don't you.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Don't genuine totally interest. Sure, please take me or pick
- 36:59Speaker 2: get it.
- 37:00Speaker 3: I really get that for sure.
- 37:01Speaker 7: So I was like, you know, lucky enough to just
- 37:04Speaker 7: like even coincidentally run into Rock and then it was
- 37:08Speaker 7: Brad and then kind of like a little bit of
- 37:10Speaker 7: entourage guys that happened to be because he was performing
- 37:13Speaker 7: for WrestleMania got to introduce say what's up hello, introduce
- 37:16Speaker 7: myself and kept it pushing. But then like but then
- 37:21Speaker 7: I think about four or five months later, I get
- 37:24Speaker 7: a call. I'm doing a shoot and it's our I
- 37:28Speaker 7: can't remember her position. I think it's public relation maybe,
- 37:31Speaker 7: but anyways, gives me a call and says, hey, even
- 37:35Speaker 7: would you take a meeting with this guy Brad Slater?
- 37:40Speaker 3: And I'm like, you're like what After.
- 37:44Speaker 7: We got into w W, that's when like business started
- 37:47Speaker 7: really like like no, no, no where Jonathan and I
- 37:51Speaker 7: really wanted to utilize the platform.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Yes, because it's like.
- 37:55Speaker 2: So that's where you started saying let's try to brand.
- 37:57Speaker 7: Yes of course, yeah, right, well and not only that
- 38:01Speaker 7: going into w W as well, Jonathan is smart and
- 38:05Speaker 7: he with my contract he was he helped you totally
- 38:10Speaker 7: where like I had my whole website and everything. That's
- 38:13Speaker 7: why I was able to have my name and stuff
- 38:15Speaker 7: like that, which is alous.
- 38:16Speaker 2: It's like it's like I I created la There was
- 38:19Speaker 2: no LAA before.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Give me a break.
- 38:24Speaker 3: That's what they all think.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Definitely getting voted getting voted off Mom and my dad.
- 38:28Speaker 3: There you go, Hey.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I'm getting voted off the island.
- 38:31Speaker 1: You're getting voted off the island with Laala.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Give them.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Okay, wait get back to wait back the business.
- 38:42Speaker 1: We can go back to business. But there's a big
- 38:45Speaker 1: question that I have. Yes, at what point in your
- 38:49Speaker 1: life did you say I got to get sober?
- 38:52Speaker 3: M m oh into I got sober when?
- 39:01Speaker 7: Well, first, I was raised so in a really really strict,
- 39:06Speaker 7: strict household. So once I ended up leaving my parents,
- 39:10Speaker 7: that was almost like where it was like all bets
- 39:13Speaker 7: are off where I'm like, wait a minute, I don't
- 39:15Speaker 7: have a curfew, like it is poppin' right, and then,
- 39:20Speaker 7: you know, bad decision after another.
- 39:21Speaker 3: I got into, you know, a lot of trouble.
- 39:25Speaker 7: And then my oldest brother actually ended up getting sober,
- 39:30Speaker 7: and he basically in a sense I always looked up
- 39:35Speaker 7: to him, so I was like, damn, well, I mean
- 39:38Speaker 7: if he's doing it, and I'm I'm I was depressed
- 39:40Speaker 7: and my life was like you know, I was throwing
- 39:42Speaker 7: it literally away, and I was not raised the way
- 39:44Speaker 7: that I was. Some of the decisions that I was
- 39:46Speaker 7: making where you know, for anyone that's listening to, like
- 39:51Speaker 7: especially parents and stuff like I feel so bad to
- 39:55Speaker 7: this day, like.
- 39:56Speaker 3: My parents are rock stars, They're my everything. They they.
- 40:01Speaker 7: Had no like input in the sense of like where
- 40:05Speaker 7: they should feel bad because a parent is always going
- 40:08Speaker 7: to feel bad if their child's not.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Doing well, wealthy right, maybe they had done something wrong total.
- 40:13Speaker 7: Or something or didn't do went left or right, whatever
- 40:16Speaker 7: you want to say, you know what I'm saying. And
- 40:18Speaker 7: he addiction runs like deep in my family too. So
- 40:21Speaker 7: I got sober originally at twenty three.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Wow, you were young.
- 40:26Speaker 3: That's a baby.
- 40:26Speaker 2: So that what that means that she had a really
- 40:28Speaker 2: good time from fifteen to twenty three, I would.
- 40:32Speaker 7: Say eighteen to twenty three when.
- 40:36Speaker 3: She moved out once I moved out to my parents.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, And I have to make light because obviously
- 40:41Speaker 2: I've been with Laala, you know for a long time,
- 40:43Speaker 2: and and and and you know, I've been through her addiction.
- 40:46Speaker 2: My dad's sober like twenty plus years, so he runs.
- 40:50Speaker 2: It runs in my family. Yeah, but I gotta say, so,
- 40:53Speaker 2: when you got sober that young, similar to her, because
- 40:56Speaker 2: she got sober late twenties, what was the challenge and
- 40:59Speaker 2: what got you through being staying sober? Because you I've
- 41:02Speaker 2: read quotes from you where you say most people fail once,
- 41:07Speaker 2: but don't give up, like so what, so what does
- 41:09Speaker 2: that mean.
- 41:10Speaker 7: It's kind of like one of the things where I
- 41:13Speaker 7: know that I put a lot of like because I
- 41:15Speaker 7: work a program, like I work a twelve step program,
- 41:18Speaker 7: so I feel like I infuse that in a lot
- 41:20Speaker 7: of aspects of my life.
- 41:22Speaker 3: So if you fail.
- 41:23Speaker 7: So when I first got into a or my program,
- 41:28Speaker 7: I do the whole deal. I have a sponsor, I
- 41:30Speaker 7: sponsor women, I go to meetings. It sucks, it's super annoying,
- 41:34Speaker 7: it's super hard. It's so it's I'm not it's so
- 41:37Speaker 7: like not what I want to do. I never want
- 41:39Speaker 7: to go to a meeting, but I always feel better after.
- 41:42Speaker 7: I never want to, Like I love all my girls
- 41:44Speaker 7: that I sponsor, but like a lot of times I
- 41:47Speaker 7: want to be like not doing yeah, because of course,
- 41:52Speaker 7: because that's like I don't want to lose what I
- 41:54Speaker 7: have now, because I never want to go back to
- 41:58Speaker 7: the dark moment.
- 41:59Speaker 3: That that I used.
- 42:01Speaker 7: To dabble in, you know, But it is, it's it's
- 42:05Speaker 7: definitely that's why they always say, like a simple program,
- 42:08Speaker 7: but it takes a lot of hard work. But in
- 42:11Speaker 7: how I infuse it into all aspects of life is
- 42:13Speaker 7: we're going to fail, We're gonna get told no so
- 42:16Speaker 7: many times, like I've gotten told no way more than
- 42:19Speaker 7: I've ever been told yes. So it's it's just making
- 42:23Speaker 7: sure that you do all the cliche ship we always hear,
- 42:26Speaker 7: get back up, keep going, believing in yourself and kind
- 42:30Speaker 7: of like keep.
- 42:31Speaker 3: The engine going totally.
- 42:33Speaker 7: But I think I was super cocky too, and I
- 42:36Speaker 7: was like, I'm never gonna relapse. I'm like, what these
- 42:38Speaker 7: people are crazy, like super judgmental like this, I am
- 42:42Speaker 7: not one of these, like you know what I mean.
- 42:44Speaker 7: On my little poney, So I lasted three years?
- 42:47Speaker 2: What yep?
- 42:50Speaker 3: So I lasted three years?
- 42:51Speaker 7: And I called up my sponsor, who is still my sponsor.
- 42:56Speaker 7: Now from the beginning, I've noted for like, damn fourteen years.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Wow, that's amazing, so.
- 43:04Speaker 7: Would technically I should be celebrating thirteen. She's about to celebrate.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Fourteen, so I can three years sober.
- 43:10Speaker 3: So I'm three years sober.
- 43:11Speaker 7: I call her up, MO, I love you so much,
- 43:12Speaker 7: thank you for everything, because sometimes as well as you know,
- 43:16Speaker 7: like you know the promises that if anybody doesn't know,
- 43:19Speaker 7: like if you work a program, certain things are to
- 43:20Speaker 7: happen in your life, like normal people get like I
- 43:23Speaker 7: got my license back.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Good thing. Yeah, I started paying taxes, you know what
- 43:28Speaker 3: I mean, like a normal like.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Lowood like Lala was like like once she got sober
- 43:34Speaker 2: and God bless her. I tell her every day her
- 43:37Speaker 2: biggest accomplishment in life will be this. Sure and thirteen
- 43:41Speaker 2: fourteen months she's been sober. I mean fifteen eighty see,
- 43:46Speaker 2: but fifteen months been definitely. Miracles have happened daily, weekly,
- 43:50Speaker 2: and she acknowledged.
- 43:51Speaker 7: So I, hey, that's what they say. They say, don't
- 43:53Speaker 7: leave until the miracle happens.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Legit like as that is you're preaching that big book.
- 44:02Speaker 7: Okay, three years in and so I start like, obviously,
- 44:07Speaker 7: you know, getting my life back. I'm feeling good, like
- 44:09Speaker 7: being great. And so I called him and I was like, oh,
- 44:11Speaker 7: I love you so much to thank you for everything,
- 44:13Speaker 7: but I'm good. And she's like, what do you mean good?
- 44:16Speaker 3: Like what?
- 44:16Speaker 7: And then she's like, well, you know, I don't suggest this,
- 44:21Speaker 7: but okay, sure enough. Within like nine months, I think,
- 44:26Speaker 7: I like white knuckled it or so they say, that's
- 44:28Speaker 7: a phrase. I guess without working a program, without having
- 44:32Speaker 7: a sponsor, just like living like just a sober dry
- 44:37Speaker 7: they called right.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Yeah, And within nine months.
- 44:40Speaker 7: Just it was just like on and popping, like once
- 44:43Speaker 7: I had a little it was just.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Like I never stopped. So then I was out for
- 44:48Speaker 3: like two years, for two years and we're really bad.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Rehab rehab, and then never that was it.
- 44:56Speaker 3: No, And then so I met Jonathan straight out of rehab.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Wow.
- 45:00Speaker 7: Wow, I know this is like kind of mic drop stuff.
- 45:04Speaker 7: I haven't dropped any of this stuff.
- 45:05Speaker 2: But this is the stuff I think that that matters
- 45:07Speaker 2: because all the other ship, like you know, success and
- 45:10Speaker 2: all that, but this is the stuff that I think
- 45:12Speaker 2: people like Laala gets so many so much love for sobriety,
- 45:16Speaker 2: you know, and and I give her more.
- 45:18Speaker 3: Kind of love's ever given.
- 45:19Speaker 2: She she loves that. Let me ask you a question.
- 45:23Speaker 2: Jonathan is sober not sober.
- 45:25Speaker 3: No, he's a normy. So we got on Friday.
- 45:28Speaker 2: We pay the next day.
- 45:30Speaker 1: This is what I love about normies. You can go
- 45:32Speaker 1: out and get drunk and the next day you'll be
- 45:33Speaker 1: like I'm done for a minute, like you had a
- 45:36Speaker 1: good time. It's like I got sucked up last night.
- 45:38Speaker 1: I better get it pop in so I can say normal,
- 45:40Speaker 1: Like we.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Went to Sunday. We went to Sunday. This is just me.
- 45:43Speaker 2: We went to Sundance Alie to sit here. We went
- 45:45Speaker 2: out and was it Friday Friday? And we got back
- 45:48Speaker 2: to the house whatever, like two o'clock and we sat
- 45:50Speaker 2: in the kitchen and continue to drink. And then I
- 45:53Speaker 2: woke up the next day and I said to God, please,
- 45:55Speaker 2: where's the ivy doctor? Brought the IV doctor in? Oh,
- 45:58Speaker 2: got that. Then I had to go to tubing and sled,
- 46:00Speaker 2: followed by bloody Mary and then and then and then
- 46:03Speaker 2: I said, Okay, I'm good for like two or three months.
- 46:05Speaker 2: I don't need to have another, you know. Now It's
- 46:07Speaker 2: like right, no me? So yeah. The fact of like,
- 46:11Speaker 2: but but I what I'm saying is like I just
- 46:13Speaker 2: but I was with Law and obviously in her dark,
- 46:15Speaker 2: dark phase, I've never seen Listen, she's a little person,
- 46:19Speaker 2: you know, I've never seen somebody. She would get mad
- 46:22Speaker 2: at me. She would say we wereround. This is I
- 46:23Speaker 2: didn't understand until it got really really bad. She would
- 46:27Speaker 2: say to me like I'd say, babe, can we go home? Now?
- 46:29Speaker 2: It's like twelve thirty sep. You're a loser. Your drink
- 46:32Speaker 2: is half full. Nobody leaves a drink on the table.
- 46:34Speaker 2: A loser leaves a drink on the tail. I mean
- 46:36Speaker 2: it was it was a dark, dark, dark place. And
- 46:39Speaker 2: now now she's like, Babe, can we watch Friends today?
- 46:42Speaker 2: That teven fifteen?
- 46:43Speaker 1: Because I go to sleep at eight and go to
- 46:46Speaker 1: restaurants that that don't have alcohol.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, normally I would would sure, why would we go here?
- 46:54Speaker 2: She would not know?
- 46:54Speaker 1: Everyone else around me is like, they don't have alcoholic.
- 46:56Speaker 2: They've given your line my favorite line when the waiter
- 46:58Speaker 2: always comes to you and says, do you want to
- 47:00Speaker 2: drink tonight?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Tell them what you say or if you if you
- 47:04Speaker 1: don't want your restaurant burned down?
- 47:08Speaker 3: You know, because seriously, same light.
- 47:11Speaker 6: And ship up.
- 47:12Speaker 1: If you give me alcohol.
- 47:13Speaker 7: One hundred percent, lames are happening, games are going down,
- 47:20Speaker 7: We're kicking through doors like you you know, it's what
- 47:22Speaker 7: you want totally.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:26Speaker 7: So then right out of rehab. So then I don't
- 47:30Speaker 7: tell him. I don't know, I know, how could I
- 47:33Speaker 7: like all of a sudden, don't do this anybody that's listening.
- 47:37Speaker 3: But in my in my head, I'm thinking, like, there's
- 47:40Speaker 3: no way that, like the first couple of days, I'm
- 47:42Speaker 3: gonna be.
- 47:42Speaker 7: Like, oh, by the way, I just got out of
- 47:45Speaker 7: rehab and this is uh, you know.
- 47:48Speaker 3: I'm rock solid over here. You know, I have.
- 47:54Speaker 2: To laugh only because as somebody who's been and lived
- 47:57Speaker 2: through an alcoholic partner.
- 47:59Speaker 7: Yeah, you know you for sure I could laugh now
- 48:04Speaker 7: because we went we through it, you know.
- 48:07Speaker 2: And you're standing here totally to inspire people. And by
- 48:11Speaker 2: the way, I have to laugh because I know that
- 48:13Speaker 2: both of you inspire people all over the world to
- 48:16Speaker 2: be sober, to be healthy if they if they need
- 48:18Speaker 2: that real.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I'll tell you what if that's the only thing I
- 48:21Speaker 1: ever do in my life, yo, to inspire someone. I agree,
- 48:25Speaker 1: and like I that is.
- 48:27Speaker 7: Not only that, but because I think too for females,
- 48:31Speaker 7: and I feel like there's this like stigma with girls,
- 48:33Speaker 7: especially for just alcoholism or addiction in general. Like I
- 48:38Speaker 7: feel like I don't know why, but I feel like
- 48:39Speaker 7: I talk about it a little bit more. But with Jonathan,
- 48:43Speaker 7: I think the best thing that happened to me. So
- 48:45Speaker 7: I didn't tell him right and we ended up how long,
- 48:49Speaker 7: I only lasted a few weeks because his best friend
- 48:52Speaker 7: was getting married.
- 48:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's a good song his I know.
- 48:57Speaker 7: I wish Jonathan was here because he would he would
- 48:59Speaker 7: literally tell you verbatim, because I there's moments that I
- 49:04Speaker 7: obviously don't remember. But so his best and I've only
- 49:11Speaker 7: known Jonathan, mind you, maybe we've gone on a couple dates,
- 49:17Speaker 7: that's dates, and so this is like the first time
- 49:20Speaker 7: that I'm actually sleeping over to. So like, uh, obviously
- 49:24Speaker 7: it was like a joint hotel room and stuff, but
- 49:27Speaker 7: still first like yeah, and like meeting his best friend
- 49:32Speaker 7: and his best friend's wife and all her friends and stuff.
- 49:35Speaker 3: So I'm like, oh, yeah, so where do they go?
- 49:38Speaker 1: Right?
- 49:39Speaker 3: Vegas? Cool?
- 49:40Speaker 5: God?
- 49:41Speaker 7: Yeah, So I'm not even thinking anything of it, right
- 49:44Speaker 7: because of course not. So we get we get.
- 49:49Speaker 3: There, first night. Cool, well, no, first night.
- 49:52Speaker 7: We get into the room and everybody starts doing a
- 49:55Speaker 7: round of shots around to Jack and so in my
- 49:59Speaker 7: head it's like, you know, the devil, the devil Nat
- 50:02Speaker 7: and then the angel Nat. The devil, the one that
- 50:05Speaker 7: always wants to take me down. She's a tough cooking man.
- 50:08Speaker 7: She is a tough she wants to take me out
- 50:09Speaker 7: every day. I'm like, I'm like, stay down, like dang,
- 50:16Speaker 7: Like she is tough. So she's strong and she just
- 50:21Speaker 7: she's strong armed, and I've ended up.
- 50:23Speaker 3: Okay I did. So then but now, but so I
- 50:26Speaker 3: took it down.
- 50:27Speaker 2: How long have you point?
- 50:29Speaker 1: She just got out of rehab at.
- 50:31Speaker 3: This point, I most probably maybe three and a half four.
- 50:35Speaker 7: Oh, okay, so I was fresh, right, so you would
- 50:38Speaker 7: think that it would be fresh in my brain, like yay,
- 50:41Speaker 7: you just what's wrong with you? And I paid rehab
- 50:45Speaker 7: for myself, so I it was a pretty penny.
- 50:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:49Speaker 7: So I took the hit too where I'm like, what's
- 50:52Speaker 7: wrong with you? But addiction you do crazy things. So
- 50:56Speaker 7: first night, everything's good, have some drinks, we go out
- 50:59Speaker 7: to the club.
- 51:00Speaker 3: Everything's fine. Come back the next morning, I'm like, hey.
- 51:03Speaker 7: I was cool, like last night, right, like right, And
- 51:07Speaker 7: he kept thinking, but he was no, I did, but
- 51:13Speaker 7: kind of vaguely, but I still wanted to get that reassurance.
- 51:16Speaker 7: So he was like, yeah, everything was cool, it was good, good, good, Okay.
- 51:22Speaker 3: This is a like m.
- 51:25Speaker 7: I don't know, I can't remember exactly what time in
- 51:27Speaker 7: the morning. And then so that night comes, we go
- 51:32Speaker 7: out on and popping. It's like now one, two, three
- 51:37Speaker 7: in the morning. We go to some little buffet and
- 51:40Speaker 7: it's like all you can drink Mimosa's or something. So
- 51:43Speaker 7: I start going in there, go back to the room.
- 51:48Speaker 7: I think we fell asleep for like an hour, and
- 51:50Speaker 7: then all of a sudden, I woke up like a
- 51:52Speaker 7: bright idea and it was a pool party for her
- 51:55Speaker 7: like her, which is girl so terrible like impression. Yeah,
- 52:03Speaker 7: I decide cool, I almost start early. Yeah, it's six am,
- 52:08Speaker 7: so I down an entire bottle of jack, no.
- 52:13Speaker 2: The dome, an s higher bottle of jack.
- 52:16Speaker 1: That's like you would have had a lot of fun together.
- 52:19Speaker 3: So Jonathan he hears me, he's sleeping. He hears me
- 52:22Speaker 3: like all of a sudden, I'm all light loud.
- 52:25Speaker 7: I'm naturally loud anyways, so now I'm like yes, like
- 52:32Speaker 7: he comes out like and he like looks at me,
- 52:35Speaker 7: and I don't recall this, but he did like a
- 52:38Speaker 7: double take because he's.
- 52:39Speaker 3: Like, wait a minute, it's seven she is she drunk?
- 52:44Speaker 7: So anyways, long story short, we end up going to
- 52:47Speaker 7: that party.
- 52:48Speaker 3: I am like eighth, just a disaster like extensions kind
- 52:53Speaker 3: of like falling out of my head.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Yes, yes, like bad.
- 53:00Speaker 7: He called my mom and was like, like, your daughter.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Has an alcohol problem or moms like she just got
- 53:07Speaker 3: out of rehab. My Mom's like I know.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Tells ever tells him everything and now what does he do?
- 53:13Speaker 7: And now he's basically stuck because I'm obviously he's not
- 53:18Speaker 7: going to be a jerk and just say boom me
- 53:21Speaker 7: out the room.
- 53:23Speaker 2: You know.
- 53:25Speaker 7: So the next day or no, later on that night,
- 53:28Speaker 7: I like totally sober up and he basically like looks
- 53:31Speaker 7: me in my face and gets kind of crazy, and
- 53:35Speaker 7: I felt like a little kid where I was like, yeah,
- 53:39Speaker 7: all of a sudden, I was like, oh, my best
- 53:41Speaker 7: behavior for because we still had like thirty six hours
- 53:44Speaker 7: left at the trip.
- 53:45Speaker 2: Oh man, this is.
- 53:46Speaker 3: So those thirty six hours.
- 53:48Speaker 2: He is a rock star. Yeah, I know, I mean
- 53:51Speaker 2: to handle this because I thought anybody else would have
- 53:53Speaker 2: been like, here's your Southwest ticket, here's the driver.
- 53:56Speaker 3: Totally.
- 53:58Speaker 7: One hundred person we're going to get through. So well
- 54:02Speaker 7: he wasn't that nice. But but those thirty six hours
- 54:07Speaker 7: I was like, no, no, hell no, I wasn't need
- 54:12Speaker 7: that day.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Yes I was.
- 54:14Speaker 7: I actually was, because he said we had like a
- 54:17Speaker 7: big because everything was changing, so I had.
- 54:20Speaker 3: It was actually right before my w W tryout when
- 54:22Speaker 3: that happened to.
- 54:24Speaker 1: So god girl, yeah, this is yeah.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Could you imagine me drinking?
- 54:29Speaker 2: Well, well, none of that would you would have made
- 54:32Speaker 2: it through. So that is God's way because you after that,
- 54:37Speaker 2: I assume you both you get you know he he.
- 54:40Speaker 7: Gets ober, Yeah, because he he kind of in a
- 54:43Speaker 7: sense gave me an ultimatum if I wanted to continue
- 54:45Speaker 7: to date him or see where this relationship was going.
- 54:49Speaker 7: There was no way I would have to go back
- 54:52Speaker 7: to the way that because obviously my mom let him
- 54:55Speaker 7: in on I worked a program. She was sober, right,
- 54:59Speaker 7: So he told me that, and then that's when I
- 55:01Speaker 7: was like, all right, well that's it, that's from there.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Got you've just done. Yeah.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Wow.
- 55:09Speaker 7: It took me probably a little bit to hop on
- 55:12Speaker 7: and like I had to put my tail between my legs.
- 55:15Speaker 7: Call Mo my sponsor, because there was no way that
- 55:18Speaker 7: I was going to have a new sponsor and put
- 55:19Speaker 7: all my dirt out on the street like that.
- 55:21Speaker 3: No, I was like, I was like, no, no, no, Mo, Hey,
- 55:26Speaker 3: hey take me back. You already know how much up
- 55:30Speaker 3: high She knew it. She did, and so she picked
- 55:34Speaker 3: up phone and.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Literally a story. I mean, now I have now when
- 55:40Speaker 2: I see John that to give him like so much
- 55:41Speaker 2: more love, because you look at somebody's spouse just like
- 55:45Speaker 2: they look at us, and they don't know what. Nobody
- 55:47Speaker 2: knows what anybody's been through, like for sure, and relationships
- 55:49Speaker 2: like look if you look at Lala and I and
- 55:51Speaker 2: they look at us and they're like, you know, oh
- 55:52Speaker 2: their course and they fly on, it's all bullshit like
- 55:55Speaker 2: at the end of the day, you know. And that's
- 55:57Speaker 2: why I love this podcast because people get to see
- 55:59Speaker 2: how we are. I give Jonathan mad love and respect
- 56:02Speaker 2: because you know, I had been through it with her
- 56:04Speaker 2: for a long time. Again, she tricked me for a
- 56:08Speaker 2: long time because I didn't know she had like a
- 56:10Speaker 2: full alcoholic.
- 56:11Speaker 7: I tried to trick Jonathan, but.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't. He was quicker. He was quicker. He
- 56:16Speaker 2: was because already got out of Rehabit was a quicker
- 56:18Speaker 2: like heads up. Lala was just more like I was.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Like she would hide the day drinking, for sure. So
- 56:23Speaker 2: when the day she would.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Wake up and you're not down a party like that,
- 56:27Speaker 1: well then I'll just this in my coffee cup and
- 56:29Speaker 1: we'll call it good.
- 56:30Speaker 2: Right one day, and then one day she was a
- 56:32Speaker 2: little off in the morning. This is kind of the beginning.
- 56:34Speaker 2: One day you were a little off in the morning.
- 56:36Speaker 2: We were swimming in the pool and it was like
- 56:38Speaker 2: nine am, and I was like, you sound a little
- 56:41Speaker 2: off you Okay, I was already I was already onto
- 56:44Speaker 2: her at that point, and I said, let me, let me.
- 56:46Speaker 2: She put the cup down, I grabbed it and took
- 56:48Speaker 2: a sip.
- 56:48Speaker 1: No, you didn't know, you didn't. I remember this vividly
- 56:51Speaker 1: ident and I was so knocking threw over the what
- 56:54Speaker 1: happened the pool? Going to let him have a tape?
- 56:56Speaker 2: It was vodka. She threw it over the balcon of
- 56:58Speaker 2: the pool. And then at that point, you.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Know, it games up, games up, her.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Last, her, her last whatever, what do you call it?
- 57:07Speaker 2: Your last day out?
- 57:09Speaker 1: Yeah, my last hurrah.
- 57:11Speaker 2: She she got on the plane we're coming back from
- 57:14Speaker 2: a Disney.
- 57:15Speaker 1: World, which I was black out the whole time.
- 57:17Speaker 2: And why didn't I didn't. I didn't even see her
- 57:19Speaker 2: because I was. It was so bad and I just didn't.
- 57:22Speaker 2: It was so bad that I for me at that point,
- 57:24Speaker 2: it was kind of the disconnected. It was the end
- 57:26Speaker 2: of our relationship, in my opinion. I'd written her a
- 57:28Speaker 2: letter and said that this is I can't do this anymore,
- 57:31Speaker 2: and if you can figure it out, I'll be there
- 57:33Speaker 2: for you, but for now we're done. And so I've
- 57:35Speaker 2: written this letter. So we got home. I was going
- 57:38Speaker 2: to read it to her, but we got on the
- 57:39Speaker 2: plane and and and uh and I remember she.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Had a bottle of was it Tennessee?
- 57:44Speaker 2: Tennessee?
- 57:45Speaker 1: All I cared about drinking.
- 57:47Speaker 2: From the morning all the way together the plane and
- 57:48Speaker 2: got on the plane. She's like out of a rap video,
- 57:51Speaker 2: you know, in her hand, and she drank herself until
- 57:55Speaker 2: she's passed out. And it's when she passed out, I
- 57:57Speaker 2: wrote this letter. And and then you know it came home.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Oh, don't get emotional.
- 58:02Speaker 7: I know it's super tough because it's one of those
- 58:07Speaker 7: things like that's why it's it's nice to laugh and
- 58:11Speaker 7: joke about it, because it was such a dark and serious.
- 58:16Speaker 1: While for me to be able to have him look
- 58:18Speaker 1: back on it.
- 58:19Speaker 2: I couldn't laugh for a long.
- 58:20Speaker 1: I was like, I'm so ashamed of that. Like for
- 58:22Speaker 1: sure now we look back on it.
- 58:25Speaker 2: But I'll tell you something there was like there was
- 58:27Speaker 2: like yeah, I also didn't believe like because I was
- 58:30Speaker 2: ready to be done with, you know, with everything, and
- 58:33Speaker 2: there was and there was so when when she walked
- 58:36Speaker 2: to my office that day, I was gonna read the letter,
- 58:38Speaker 2: she said, you know, I'm an alcoholic. She had never
- 58:40Speaker 2: said that before, and so then I said, okay, obviously
- 58:43Speaker 2: I'm not going to turn my back on somebody. That's
- 58:45Speaker 2: so I was like, okay, let's go play this game.
- 58:46Speaker 2: Because she told me she's gonna stop righting. So we
- 58:49Speaker 2: and and and and I, you know, go where you
- 58:51Speaker 2: party and have a fun night. A couple of lines.
- 58:54Speaker 2: This is a different thing. This was seven days. But
- 58:57Speaker 2: so I wrote it out and I had such resentment
- 58:59Speaker 2: and such anger. So when she got sober, I couldn't
- 59:03Speaker 2: let it go. And so there was a couple months
- 59:06Speaker 2: and and to just say a love story short. When
- 59:08Speaker 2: we went to a.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Meeting, you know, I called him. I was like, which,
- 59:13Speaker 1: keep in mind there were many times where I would
- 59:14Speaker 1: tell him meet me.
- 59:15Speaker 2: She she couldn't show up, She'd fall down. It was mortifying.
- 59:20Speaker 2: I couldn't make plans. I'm talking about at the end
- 59:22Speaker 2: when it got really early.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Yeah, but then I was like, hey, I need you
- 59:25Speaker 1: to meet me a meeting. I was like, they're early.
- 59:29Speaker 2: So she said, like seven o'clock. She said seven o'clock.
- 59:32Speaker 2: And I'm like, this is another like and there's about
- 59:34Speaker 2: thirty days in and forty days in and I show up.
- 59:36Speaker 2: She's standing out front, like at six forty five waiting
- 59:39Speaker 2: for me, couldn't wait to walk be in there, two
- 59:41Speaker 2: steep people, and I'm like, what is going on? I'm confused.
- 59:44Speaker 2: She could even make it some days, and so that
- 59:47Speaker 2: was probably the beginning for me and the excite. And
- 59:49Speaker 2: then and then about ninety days in or six days in,
- 59:52Speaker 2: when it still had a lot of resentment from things
- 59:54Speaker 2: that had been done, she she said, look, you you
- 59:58Speaker 2: have to make a decision, like like you can't like
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: either you have to like be with me and forgive me,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: or you have to like walk away, because you know
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: you can't. And I did a lot of soul searching,
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: and my soul searching was that I can't punish somebody
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: who's in recovery either. I have to go off on
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: my own and be away.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: And I told him that because for me, it was
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: like at that.
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: Moment, you had given me a lot of time and
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: I but I.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Also told him, I'm like, my recovery is more important
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: than you right now, my family, because I'm not helpful
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: to anybody. If I pick up a drink and I'm
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: already beating myself up, like I can't have.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: You totally because there's so much that you like you
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: you bury and then not only that, when you and
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: it has to at some point through recovery, it's going
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: to surface and it's going to come to light and
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: you're going to walk through it. You're going to get
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: through it, and it's super painful and you're it's it's
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: a lot.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: But eventually forgive yourself the addiction. And I also, you know,
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: have been through you know, my own recovery, not for alhostuff,
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: but like in life, just to work on myself and things.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: I've totally and I'll tell you that. The final note
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: here I'll say is that like I woke up after
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: that and I kind of spent some time with myself
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: and I said, either this is the woman I love
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: and look at her. I've got the best version, or
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: I need to go on and move on. Because our
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: relationship was, you know, it was struggled for a long time.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: And that's when we I think we finally just put
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: it together and we said, look, you know, in the beginning,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: our relationship you know, was what it was. It was
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: not perfect at anyway, but now let's go try to
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: create a great relationshipship. We work every day and we're
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: still learning things about each other. But you know what,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: like any relationship, we try to talk through things and
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: we try to work through things, right, babe. But I
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: am very proud, Like I tell her her greatest concimence.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: I don't give a shit about TV shows, and I
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: don't care about movies, and I don't care about money
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: she makes and all the things that she does her
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: sobriety will be her greatest accomplishment. I give her a
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: matter respect. I love you.
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: Jonathan says the same thing, yeah, because and I think
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: it was so a monumental moment for him to actually
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: see what a change in me, because it's really hard
- 1:02:11Speaker 7: for somebody that does not understand either alcoholism or addiction,
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: for somebody to say that I am and not get
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: it because they're normal, so they don't understand.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: The severity of like the disease.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: So for him to actually witness full point blank like
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: this face in his face, just like wait a minute,
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: this is And then who like doctor Deckel and mister Hyde,
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: like that's who different people like you're cool?
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: This is I don't even know what this is, right, Like,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: who are you?
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Ag? I feel like I feel like our relationship honestly,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: and I don't describe it things, but you know, we've
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: had a lot of hills and valleys. I feel like
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: the last year was really where it came together. Like
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: that's where our relationship. Our relationship before that was was
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: crazy and you know, break up and you get sure
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: we just were nuts. And now now I have somebody
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: who's like, Babe, you'll be here at eight o'clock and
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: you'll be here sharp, and I show up seven minutes later.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: She's like, I said, a babe, I'm like, who are you?
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: It took me about six months to realize that I
