  happened and I know I had thrown this like deep, deep, deep into

  the pre patch at all or have you been off playing other games as

  the pre show may have mentioned? Let's start with you, Lex.

  What have you been up to so? Currently, I just have not been

  home a lot. I was back and forth to Boston,

  which I really should have gone up to Boston and stayed, but I

  didn't want to. So I have not been in my house

  and not been playing games. If I were to be playing games, I

  would be taking my podcast responsibilities and my, the my
• 4:38
  my work as a World of Warcraft content creator very seriously

  and definitely playing the pre the pre patch and definitely not
• 4:45
  playing balders gate. But because I I'm also certainly
• 4:49
  not behind everyone else in the world who played Balders Gate a
• 4:53
  year ago and I'm certainly not just getting into act to now,
• 4:58
  but so I haven't been able to play a lot because I had to be.

  Social in the real world with my friends and people I love.

  OK, wow. OK, so.

  Wow, go bad from Boston. That's you know what, it's a

  good time to like get out there and touch grass or whatever the

  really glad that you're able to do that, especially since we're

  we are in the pre patch. I obviously have had some real

  life stuff too. So I've been away from the game

  for part of part of the week. We delayed the show, but we're

  here it's Friday and I'll be getting this episode out as soon

  Have you been diving into the pre patch?

  Yeah, I made a joke that the Blizzard had a team assigned to

  listen to the show to make changes based on what we said

  and that I didn't think that was a joke, but it seems like that

  was real. They changed the things we said.

  I have been playing the pre patch event more.

  I will say that the pre patch event is currently in the best
• 6:16
  state I think we could hope for. It is fast leveling, fast
• 6:22
  gearing, fast acquisition of the toys and where the pets and the
• 6:26
  mounts if you want them and if you are so inclined.
• 6:32
  It is almost entirely AFK able. Do I think that's good content?
• 6:42
  No, as far as pre patch events go, it's a great pre patch
• 6:47
  event. I'll take it.
• 6:49
  I have achieved all of the goals that I had for the event.
• 6:52
  I have all of the trans mug unlocked, which is all I really
• 6:54
  wanted. And then the characters that I
• 6:56
  ended up leveling to 70 in the process of unlocking that trans
• 7:00
  mug have now also been fully geared out because you have
• 7:02
  enough currency to buy any pieces that are missing at 480.
• 7:07
  It's I don't ever have to log into it again.
• 7:09
  And I think that's fine. I think the people that are
• 7:11
  still playing it and then can can at least enjoy it in its
• 7:16
  best state. Yeah, but if you want fun, go
• 7:20
  play remix. Well, you still can.
• 7:22
  There are only few days left in remix, so yeah, definitely if
• 7:27
  you are looking to try Remix, you have a very short period of
• 7:30
  time. But As for this pre patch event,
• 7:33
  I I think you're right Sean when you say it's the best version
• 7:38
  that we could hope for at this point.
• 7:40
  I agree with that. I don't think they could do more
• 7:43
  unless they were to like make a completely different event,
• 7:46
  which I this point we're way past that point.

  So for people who don't know what they did, they
• 7:54
  fundamentally changed it. The zones now rotate every hour.
• 7:57
  There's no 90 minutes this week, 60 minutes, thirty minutes
• 8:00
  change. It is just every hour.
• 8:02
  The zones will rotate within that hour.
• 8:05
  If the event is done, it immediately restarts itself in
• 8:09
  that same zone and you do it do it all over again.
• 8:13
  The rewards have been increased. So the amount of currency that
• 8:16
  you're getting, the random drops that you might get for the gear
• 8:21
  as you're leveling or gear that you the 480 gear when you're at
• 8:24
  70 has been increased. It drops Crest and and flight
• 8:30
  zones now, which is fantastic and allows you to upgrade that
• 8:35
  gear further beyond 4480. The gear is now actually able to
• 8:42
  be used with the catalyst and turned into tear sets, which is
• 8:47
  just like why was that in at the beginning that seemed sort of a
• 8:50
  no brainer. Not only that, so a it gives you
• 8:54
  your four piece, which doesn't really matter.
• 8:56
  More importantly, every single class that you don't have the
• 8:58
  LFR and normal transmog for from the season 3 or whatever season
• 9:05
  they are for this, because it's different based on the votes,
• 9:08
  you can now go get those. You get a full set of the
• 9:11
  defender's gear. You fly over to a catalyst.
• 9:13
  You have 9 charges on every character that exists right now.
• 9:16
  You dump all nine pieces and you've got a full trans mug set
• 9:19
  of LFR and then you can use the crests and flights that you got
• 9:21
  in the event to level that up and immediately get the normal
• 9:24
  coloration as well. It's it is sort of like a
• 9:28
  transmoggers dream event right now.
• 9:32
  I mean it was trial of style up until think yesterday or today
• 9:39
  yesterday and oh, I was like going nuts on on the transmog.
• 9:45
  So I really enjoyed this. There are unique transmogs that
• 9:48
  people have discovered since we last did this.
• 9:51
  There is a shield for both the Alliance and the Horde.
• 9:56
  There are a couple of like stuff that is like the same as you
• 10:00
  would see on the Exiles Reach as well as some stuff that wasn't
• 10:05
  on Exiles Reach. So if you're looking for that
• 10:06
  transmog, you can pick that up by just leveling through this.

  They've adjusted the difficulty of stuff so like the mini bosses
• 10:14
  and the bosses and the objectives are just a lot
• 10:17
  smoother. Honestly, every pain point that
• 10:21
  was in here, they seem to have affected over the course of like
• 10:24
  2 Hot fixes in rapid succession. We had one literally the day
• 10:30
  after we recorded and then again there was another hot fix
• 10:35
  quickly after that. So I think that go ahead.

  To the team that watches the show, like whatever team was

  assigned to for Azeroth, for Azeroth dev team, take the

  the event is sort of, if you're not in it for the prizes, you're

  think you will do, it just becomes mind numbing enough that

  you just kind of say, you know what, I've got enough alts at

  70. I'm done.

  I'm still going in. I want to get at least one

  character of each class up to 70.

  But it's no longer about this event.

  It's because I want them at 70 for the Love is in the Air event

  so I can try and get that stupid mount.

  Isn't that a one time a week drop with the scaling that

  that's a holiday mount so that'll be affected by the the

  It's it takes 45 minutes to go from 10 to 70 if you have a a

  geared friend or a geared character on another account.

  Yeah, remix is still faster leveling, but you can't AFK

  remix and you can't AFK this. There we go.

  OK, with that said, let's look towards some of the stuff that

  is upcoming for this one. We have got the launch patch and

  the launch patch is coming next week, the 13th in NA, 14th if
• 15:36
  you are part of the European crowd.

  And that is going to include a major set of updates, not just
• 15:44
  to classes, but some stuff in the UI and such.

  People who are part of the add on community have said that this
• 15:52
  will be Armageddon Part 2. So be prepared for all those
• 15:56
  add-ons that you fixed and stuff.

  You're going to have to fix them again.

  But for those of you trying to learn your spec or talents or
• 16:09
  any of that, well, a lot of that is also going to be upset.

  When we had this pre patch that came in and Sean, you were

  talking to me and you're like, Oh, you should be happy.

  I'm like, actually, this is based on a build.

  They had a couple builds back and I haven't been super happy.

  But you know what, give me time a reason to play my alts guys,

  and I've been happy about that. But this, this has all of the

  stuff that they've put in in the War Within, which means that
• 16:43
  shamans are going to be a rejoicing, especially
• 16:46
  enhancement. Shamans, warriors are pretty
• 16:51
  good throughout, I think. Like there hasn't been a crazy
• 16:55
  amount of changes. Sean, you're more warrior than I
• 16:57
  am. Pratt Warrior will play
• 17:00
  functionally the same, you won't notice the difference.

  Theory Warrior plays functionally the same at 70 with
• 17:07
  this build, you won't notice the difference.

  Arms will be slightly weaker, yeah.

  And I. Play protection on my warrior

  out. You might, yeah.

  Curls, you might start. You might start to notice the

  fury or the rage generation changes on ARMS. I don't know.

  that I've really been paying attention to is the warlock and

  warlocks have just been in such a good place in dragon fight.

  And then I have like one or two weak auras.

  But I don't use a lot of weak auras, even though everyone

  tells me if you use weak auras instead of tell me when, but I

  use tell me when I'm not changing.

  And then I use decursively. But like there's like 5

  different add-ons going but most of them I haven't individually

  messed with a lot. Or if I do mess with it, it's

  things that I change like mid raid frequently.

  Like for example, I'm constantly going between whether I want to

  know how many stacks of a debuff there are on D cursive versus
• 19:59
  how long a debuff has. And then I changed, you know,

  mid grade, which is why if anyone back when I was

  streaming, my UI was hideous. And it still is.

  It's just nobody knows anymore. I don't stream anymore.

  And I also have had my Guild yell at me that there's so many

  choices and they can't like if you know, we're doing a thing

  together and they're like, does somebody want to go on streams?

  We can watch them. They it can't be me because

  But what that means I might have to mess with my tell me when if

  dating back to the FA that it hasn't just been good.

  check out some of these UI installation packages that that
