Transcript
- 0:11Hello everyone, you're listening to Galaxy Crashes, the Busted
- 0:14and McFly podcast. The only podcast where the 2
- 0:17worlds of McFly and Busted come together.
- 0:20I'm sham. And I'm Tay.
- 0:22And in this week's episode, we are really diving deep into the
- 0:24nostalgia of the naughties as we discuss Busted hit song Britney.
- 0:28We're going to be talking all things busted as always, diving
- 0:31into the inspiration for this absolute banger, Miss Britney
- 0:35Spears. And this week I'm testing
- 0:37knowledge on McFly songs by playing the One Second Wonder
- 0:40quiz. Oh.
- 0:42My God, I'm I'm not scared of that.
- 0:45You'll. Be fine you'll.
- 0:46Be fine, I'm. You'll be fine.
- 0:49I mean, your track record isn't great, I'm not gonna lie, but
- 0:51oh. I know literally I'm like
- 0:54embarrassed to call myself a McFly fan at this point.
- 0:56The thing is. Maybe I am team busted.
- 0:59It's not it's definitely not all about the trivia, but you know,
- 1:03I, I have faith in you this week.
- 1:04I'm sure you're going to do better than the other two weeks.
- 1:06It's fine. I'm good.
- 1:08Thank you for asking. I'm doing OK.
- 1:10I have been back to school this week, which is Cray Cray.
- 1:14I haven't been in a school environment for about four years
- 1:19cause I've been like teaching online and stuff.
- 1:21So it was pretty scary going back That's.
- 1:23A really long time. Such a honestly I could like it.
- 1:26It feels like yesterday but obviously it has been so long
- 1:29and I didn't realise how nervous I was until I got to reception
- 1:32and they were like, oh you are supply for the day.
- 1:33And I was like, yeah, hello. And then I got into the
- 1:39classroom and the lady was like, oh, what, What was your name?
- 1:43And I was like, I went to say Miss Blake.
- 1:45And I was like, oh, it's Missus Lewis.
- 1:47And I was like, I nearly cried because I was like, I'm Missus
- 1:51Lewis now. I'm not Miss Blake anymore.
- 1:52So it was really weird to be my marriage name Which.
- 1:56Was the woman? I know.
- 1:57Tell me about it. It was absolute, pure chaos.
- 2:01I'm not going to lie. I had a lovely time, but and the
- 2:03kids were wonderful. But my gosh, it was, I was
- 2:06thrown completely in the deep end.
- 2:10Yeah. It was OK, though.
- 2:11I, you know, and The thing is, you've got to just get on with
- 2:13it. When you're a supplier, you
- 2:14don't, you don't have a choice. Just do what they tell you to
- 2:16do. And I took a small group off for
- 2:19for phonics and read, Write ink, which was a bit scary because I
- 2:21haven't taught that in four years.
- 2:23They were like, can you teach Read, Write ink?
- 2:25Yeah. Yeah, I can.
- 2:25Yeah. Of course.
- 2:26You always say yes, you just do it.
- 2:28You're a teacher, you just do what you do.
- 2:30But yeah, it was, it was loads of fun and it just made me
- 2:33realise how much I miss being in a school environment.
- 2:35So keeping my eyes peeled. And you know, I think I'd rather
- 2:40for a while just stick to being a TA, even though like being a
- 2:42teacher obviously is better money.
- 2:44I think like you, it's just better work like work life
- 2:47balance and holidays and things like that.
- 2:50So yeah, keeping my eyes peeled for like like property a jobs.
- 2:55But I'm just enjoying being a bit flexible at the moment and
- 2:57being able to go to different schools and things.
- 2:59But it is obviously a bit Willy nilly because you just sort of
- 3:02get a call at like 7:00 in the morning and they're like, can
- 3:04you go to this school today? And you're like, yeah, no
- 3:06problem. So you have to get up early and
- 3:08get ready and. I could not imagine I need
- 3:12structure. I could not do that.
- 3:14I'd wake up and be like, I'd end up going to school with like, I
- 3:18don't know, no underwear on or something because I just need a
- 3:21structure in my life. The the underwear being the
- 3:24structure, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 3:28The support that you need. The support I need, yeah, yeah.
- 3:32Well, yeah, there, there's definitely less structure, but
- 3:35it is more fun because obviously you get to go here, there and
- 3:37everywhere. And it does work out like
- 3:39slightly better money because you're getting paid daily.
- 3:42So it's, it's, you know, it's all good.
- 3:43Oh, that's good. Yeah, other than that, today
- 3:46it's been absolutely peeing down and it's been hailing.
- 3:49So I've been doing lots of colouring and stacking cups and
- 3:53silly things with my daughter. So that's been fun.
- 3:56Yeah. How are you?
- 3:57Have you been up to working your bum off I imagine?
- 4:00Well, do you know what? This week has actually felt a
- 4:02lot more busy than it actually has been.
- 4:05I feel like I've been shaking my chasing my own ass all week, but
- 4:08I've actually not really done much more than I usually do.
- 4:11Oh no. I feel like.
- 4:13I feel like I've just seen an extra half an hour in the day.
- 4:16Yeah. Just to like sit down and doom
- 4:18scroll on TikTok because I wake up in the morning.
- 4:21I wake up at 5:15, no, 5:45 in the morning every morning and
- 4:26from the second I get out of bed until I want to say about 7:00
- 4:32at night, I don't sit down. I don't like have time to just
- 4:37be me, do you know what I mean? Full time job and mum.
- 4:41Yeah, that literally I get home and then I'm like, right, I've
- 4:43got this, I've got this, I've got this and I've got this.
- 4:45And even though like I'm a one to one with two different people
- 4:49at my school and my one of them is in reception and he's in a
- 4:56pram, he's he's a disabled little boy.
- 4:59So I'm not really doing anything of hardship as per SE, but I am
- 5:04like. It's mental.
- 5:05Strenuous on your head. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:07I have to have, like, my eyes 24/7.
- 5:10I have to be on the ball. So I get home and I think I yawn
- 5:13about 100 times before I actually end up going to bed.
- 5:15Oh. God, you're preaching to the
- 5:17choir with that Hun. Yeah, literally.
- 5:20And I've. Yeah.
- 5:21So yeah, I've just been working a lot and the girls have joined
- 5:23some new clubs as well, which is fun for them.
- 5:26And for them, not you for. Them.
- 5:28Yeah, yeah, and I had my brother's birthday meal this
- 5:31weekend too, which was lovely. No, not from that.
- 5:34It's just been very same old. I don't really know why I'm
- 5:36complaining other than I just feel knackered for no reason.
- 5:40I don't think, I just feel, I really don't think you're alone.
- 5:43I feel like. No, but it's like every week is
- 5:45the same. So now I.
- 5:47Feel like the opening of our podcast every week is us just
- 5:50moaning about life. Sorry everyone.
- 5:54I think we do like why do they have kids and why do they work
- 5:57in schools? Because they clearly.
- 5:59Also this is. This.
- 6:00Is a Busted and McFly podcast. Shut up and get on with it.
- 6:03You're right. And on that note, it's time for
- 6:11Quote Corner. So this week I found a quote
- 6:15from our little Jamesy Borney boy.
- 6:17The. Reason Jamesy Borney about the
- 6:20reason why he left, like why Son of Dork is no more.
- 6:23Now I do know it's slightly off topic because it's a busted
- 6:27podcast, but I found the reason to be really interesting.
- 6:33So basically someone tweeted him, I think it was in 2020,
- 6:38saying what happened to Son of Doc, which is, you know, deep in
- 6:42everyone's hearts. And he replied saying in the
- 6:46background I was being heavily sued in the high.
- 6:49Court of Justice for the rights to all of the Busted songs.
- 6:53I left the band to give my undivided attention to fighting
- 6:57this case, which after four years I won.
- 7:00Then I started trying to bring my music career back to life.
- 7:04How much is that? What the hell?
- 7:06Yeah, right. Yeah.
- 7:07So that was 2020 and the band split in 22,000 and seven.
- 7:12So it was like 2011 that he actually.
- 7:16So from 2007 to 2011, he was fighting that.
- 7:21And then in answer to another tweet in 2024, so that was 2020.
- 7:25Lots of numbers here. That was 2020.
- 7:27And then in 2024, somebody said, you know, would you ever come
- 7:32back together? Whatever.
- 7:34And he said son of dog of no reunion planned, but he would
- 7:37consider it if enough people wanted it.
- 7:40Now, I do have to say on behalf of us, all of us losers, we
- 7:44wanted James. All of us dogs, we wanted James.
- 7:48Bring it back. Oh my God.
- 7:49Oh my God. I have unfinished business with
- 7:52Eddie. Please bring it back.
- 7:56Honestly, Eddie. I would.
- 7:58Do you know what I think I remember saying to you the other
- 8:00day that I put Son of Door Call in the car and I could not
- 8:02believe I knew every single word of every song.
- 8:04Yeah. And I would absolutely be 100%
- 8:07down for a Son of Talk Kick. Oh 100% but how funny is it that
- 8:11like he was being heaven? Like he didn't even say I was
- 8:15being sued for the right. He.
- 8:17Was like, I'm being, yeah, the quote is heavily sued in the
- 8:20High Courts of Justice for the rights to all the busted songs.
- 8:24That's all the busted. Songs, I wonder if that's
- 8:26something to do with, you know, like when Charlie left,
- 8:29obviously he went on to do Son of Dork and I remember because I
- 8:33listened to him on Nikki Burned from Westlife.
- 8:38He was on on that podcast and then he was on another podcast.
- 8:41I can't remember What's life. Yeah, shout out, big shout out
- 8:45the the OG, the OG boy band. I yeah, I found him on another
- 8:51podcast as well. And on one of them, or even both
- 8:54of them, he was talking about how the some of the songs that
- 8:57he'd written for Busted ended up being Muck Busted songs or Son
- 9:02of Dork songs because he'd written a lot of these songs
- 9:06himself. No, James, because because
- 9:12Charlie had left that. I wonder whether that's why he
- 9:15was being sued for the rights to them.
- 9:18Do you know what I mean? So because, yeah, so I read it
- 9:21as like a Taylor Swift situation.
- 9:24I read it like maybe Charlie left the record label and
- 9:28whoever the record label was owned the rights to the songs
- 9:32and he had to fight for them. I don't know because of after on
- 9:37again on one of these podcasts it did say that after busted
- 9:39break they were all offered separate recording contracts.
- 9:44Crazy. Oh yeah, because that Charlie.
- 9:47Crash, but they all they were all offered their own recording
- 9:51contracts. But they obviously there were a
- 9:53couple of songs written by James and Matt before Charlie arrived.
- 9:57And like, even when I go to school for was pretty much
- 10:00written when Charlie joined the band.
- 10:03And I think we read an interview with Charlie where he said,
- 10:05like, he did feel like a bit of an outsider because he came into
- 10:09the band. Or do you know, it might have
- 10:11even been James saying that in an interview that it could have
- 10:14come across that way. Don't quote me on that.
- 10:17It's one of them, I promise. But yeah.
- 10:19It's in next week's quote. That's crazy that that you know,
- 10:24imagine writing songs like I mean, we know about all of this
- 10:27with obviously Taylor Swift's and stuff, but imagine writing
- 10:31songs and then having to fight for them like to the right
- 10:35considering they are your softs. Yeah, when I, so when I started,
- 10:39this is like very off topic, but kind of the same thing.
- 10:42When I started at the primary school, we did like a
- 10:46safeguarding thing before I started like some training days.
- 10:51And one of the things we were had this like honestly, I think
- 10:55it was about two hours chat about ChatGPT and how you can't
- 11:00mark somebody else's work because that's copyright via
- 11:05ChatGPT. Sorry.
- 11:06So like, for example, she used the example if JK, if young JK
- 11:11Rowling handed in Harry Potter to you and you put it through
- 11:15ChatGPT, that's copyright because those are her own words.
- 11:20And then somebody else would own that.
- 11:23So it baffles me that those rights are there once you've
- 11:27written it down, but once you've put it out into a public
- 11:31platform or whatever, those don't belong to you anymore.
- 11:34Like it, it just completely doesn't belong to you.
- 11:37They're they're, they're not his anymore.
- 11:38It's such a. Crazy fight for them.
- 11:40Yeah, like a such a crazy load of jargon with it all as well,
- 11:43isn't there? Like actually understanding it.
- 11:45And gosh, Well, we're very, very glad that you did win that case,
- 11:49James. And as Shannon says, all of us
- 11:52losers would happily come to a Son of Dog Reunion.
- 11:55So let's give it a go. Obviously, when you're feeling
- 11:58better and you're back to normal, if we could do Busted
- 12:01versus McFly round two first and then you go on to Son of Dog
- 12:05Reunion, that would be great. You know, in your own time.
- 12:07Brilliant. This week, my quote, I've gone
- 12:13with our favourite set of eyebrows, Charlie Simpson, his
- 12:17quote. I really, I found this really
- 12:19interesting because I know me and you have talked a little bit
- 12:22about Charlie and, and his lots of different things that he's
- 12:25been doing. And I found this and I thought,
- 12:27oh, this is an opportunity to discuss it a little bit.
- 12:29So Charlie said I've got so many musical personalities, I could
- 12:34probably get treatment for it, which I thought was great
- 12:37because he's. Very He's not wrong.
- 12:40No, exactly. And I was just thinking about
- 12:43like all the different sides of Charlie Simpson that we've seen.
- 12:45Like we see him in Busted, we saw him, you know, 2002 Busted
- 12:50Charlie, we've seen him 2025 Busted Charlie and you know,
- 12:54with halfway there and all of that sort of stuff as well.
- 12:57We've seen him as fight star Charlie and we've seen him as
- 13:00solo album Charlie. And now we've you know, only a
- 13:03couple of years ago we saw him as mask singer Charlie as Rhino
- 13:07and you know, the whole president is he is he not kind
- 13:12of question as well, obviously as but still his voice so
- 13:16phenomenal. You can literally like I was
- 13:18watching some videos of Rhino the mask singer earlier when I
- 13:20found this quote, I was like, I'm just going to remind myself
- 13:23of, you know, what that sort of was like and how did anybody get
- 13:26that wrong this. Is so this is what I'm thinking
- 13:29about president. This is like what I'm thinking
- 13:31about president because I saw so I don't watch Max Mass singer,
- 13:35but my mum was like, ah, so my mum watched it and she messaged
- 13:39me and she was like, I recognise his voice.
- 13:40I don't know where it's from. I feel like you'd know.
- 13:42It sent it to me and within 5 seconds I was like Charlie
- 13:47Simpson and he would have watched people guessing his
- 13:51voice within seconds online, like manically putting it on
- 13:56Twitter or Instagram or. I don't.
- 13:58Know Reddit or whatever, do you know what I mean?
- 14:01Putting it on straight away, he has a mask on and people are
- 14:05still recognising his voice. Why does he think we would not
- 14:10recognise him with a different mask?
- 14:12Because the size of your mask does not change your voice.
- 14:15Charlie Simpson. Yeah, the fact that you had a
- 14:17huge rhino head on makes no no difference to the sign.
- 14:22Yeah, he sounds his voice, voice is so obvious and so it's
- 14:26distinctive, unique. Yeah.
- 14:28And it's really funny because the video I watched was actually
- 14:31him singing. I just can't wait to be King
- 14:32from. Polite.
- 14:33Oh, love that, I love it. Was so good.
- 14:37I just thought it was great. He did all the little voices for
- 14:39Zazu and everything. It was just like, yes, Charlie,
- 14:43but I just thought that was a really cool quote because
- 14:46actually he's right. He does have so many musical
- 14:48personalities and actually his voice stays the same, you know,
- 14:51like, and although that his work with, you know, you've got like
- 14:55busted, which is nostalgic naughties pop rock, then you've
- 14:58got like fight style, which is a lot more heavy and a bit
- 15:00rockier. And then like, I mean, I don't
- 15:03listen. I haven't listened to president
- 15:05as much as you. I've heard a little bit of it
- 15:06here and there, but obviously it's very, very different to the
- 15:09sort of music that he did with Busted, yeah.
- 15:12And then how? Do you go from Britney to?
- 15:15To that. In the in the name of a father
- 15:18to like just can't wait to be king literally to paint your
- 15:24target fight star everything is so.
- 15:27Everything is different. And like I was reading up about
- 15:29his his solo work and actually had an old friend who he used to
- 15:34share a lot of his solo work all the time.
- 15:36And it's really funny because this is way before he got back
- 15:39with busted. And like back, you know, when at
- 15:41uni days and she used to share like Charlie Simpson, Charlie
- 15:45Simpson and it I swear down it never clicked who he was.
- 15:49Like it did not click for such a long time because she was
- 15:53sharing this music. It wasn't even like I don't
- 15:56think it was even his music. I think it was like like
- 15:59pictures or like, yeah, album artwork or something.
- 16:02And I just, I don't even remember going, Oh my God,
- 16:05that's Charlie from Busted. Like I remember thinking when I
- 16:08when I finally thought, Oh my God, that's Charlie from Busted.
- 16:11I thought I've seen this so many times by this person has posted
- 16:14this so many times and I didn't realise who it was.
- 16:16How did I not realise? Yeah.
- 16:17I know it's made lapsely mental because his music was a lot more
- 16:21like folksy and like, do you know, it was like very, very
- 16:26different to anything I've I'd ever heard from Charlie Simpson.
- 16:28So I think that was why my my brain didn't quite link with my
- 16:32ears at that moment in time. It didn't sort of, you know,
- 16:36connect the two dots. But yeah, I thought it was cool.
- 16:39And I think me and you are very similar.
- 16:41We also have very many musical personalities because you listen
- 16:45to you. You're you probably more than
- 16:47me, but you listen to things like Fight Star, but you also
- 16:49listen to things like, you know, Lion King soundtrack.
- 16:53Yes, I do. I'm, I said, who was I talking
- 16:56to the other day? Oh, somebody at school.
- 16:59Because obviously I'm new and I don't know all the people there.
- 17:01And I'm starting to get a little friendship group.
- 17:04And someone asked because I it was actually life of a showgirl
- 17:07day and I'd forgot my lanyard and I came in and I was like,
- 17:10I'm so sorry. Distracted my.
- 17:12Lanyard. Yeah.
- 17:13And then in the staff room at lunchtime, they were like, why
- 17:16have you got a fake lanyardo? Because we have to wear like a
- 17:20fair one just so people there we are.
- 17:23And I was like, I stayed up. No, I woke up so early to listen
- 17:27to Taylor Swift that I forgot. I was just so distracted that I
- 17:31just left the house. And then she was, she was like,
- 17:35Oh my God, I wouldn't be friends with you because if only you
- 17:37like Taylor Swift. I was like, hold on a second.
- 17:39I am also cool. I am also like, hang on, hang
- 17:44on, don't judge. Me by my.
- 17:46Not court. Don't like.
- 17:49I was like, I was like, tell me. What you like and I guarantee
- 17:53you, I like. Something the.
- 17:55Same genres you. Yeah.
- 17:56And she was like, oh, I like stuff a bit more Rocky.
- 17:59I was like, well, I'm your girl. I like everything.
- 18:03There's only. I would say I don't really like
- 18:06like hardcore rap and I don't really like like deep trancey
- 18:12dance music. Trancey dance, yeah, yeah.
- 18:16But I do like like nineties 80s classic dance music.
- 18:22R. And BI.
- 18:22Like a bit, yeah. R and BI, like a bit of
- 18:26everything. So I relate to Charlie Simpson
- 18:29and I think this means that we could be friends.
- 18:31So hit me up. I agree.
- 18:38So this week, after watching way too many episodes of The Hit
- 18:41List, I decided to put together a little quiz for you, Shannon,
- 18:45where I will play you one to two seconds of five McFly songs and
- 18:49see if you can guess them from just that 2 seconds.
- 18:54You chose 10, so I asked you to give me 10 that you think you
- 18:57know well. And out of those, I selected
- 19:00four and then I added one of my own.
- 19:02You can play along at this. You can play along with this at
- 19:05home if you haven't already. You can find the quiz on our
- 19:08Instagram highlights. I'm going to play the clip a
- 19:11total of three times for each song if you need me to.
- 19:14If you don't need me to, then obviously I won't.
- 19:17And after the third time, you will only have 10 seconds to to
- 19:20give me your final answer. OK, does that make sense?
- 19:24OK, I'm going to write down obviously what you say and then
- 19:29I'll give you the answers after. Are you ready?
- 19:32OK. You got this, you got this.
- 19:36OK, let's go. Ready for song #1?
- 19:43Did you hear bubble wrap? Bubble wrap.
- 19:48Let's write it down, OK? Arguably arguably the best
- 19:53written McFly song of all time. Arguably #2 #2.
- 20:03Why did I have to think about that then all about you?
- 20:08Why did I have to think? I was like, whoa, what?
- 20:11What is this trickery? OK, next one.
- 20:21I got you. You know when like your child
- 20:25asks you how to spell something like table and you forget
- 20:29because you've written it the same so many times where your
- 20:32whole life she. Asked me how to spell orange.
- 20:38OK #4 Are you ready? I'm ready.
- 20:48Did you hear it, Ballad of Paul K?
- 20:51OK, OK. And finally, last one.
- 21:01Happiness. OK, OK, we'll go through your
- 21:08answers and I'll let you know if you were.
- 21:10Correct number one is wrong. I need to be sacked from this.
- 21:15I mean, I need to be I'd. Probably.
- 21:16I'd probably. Bring back Tash.
- 21:18Yeah I probably would try and find another Co host #1 yay
- 21:23bubble wrap. Woohoo, that's.
- 21:25So fun. Definitely, you were right on
- 21:29that one obviously #2 just a moment for this wonderful song.
- 21:38Get a little Red Nose. Out all about you our one of our
- 21:41favourites #3 was have you seen the drama have you seen I feel
- 21:55like we. I feel like we quote it every
- 21:57single. Why is that our favourite quote
- 21:59ever? It's just not OK.
- 22:01Is that #4 It was the ballad of 4K.
- 22:08Well done. Definitely.
- 22:10I can't wait. I cannot wait to rate that song.
- 22:15I can't wait to go some of these Motion in the Ocean songs as
- 22:18well. I can't wait for motion.
- 22:20I'm excited. And finally, the last one, it
- 22:33was happiness. Shannon, you got 5 out of five.
- 22:37I have redeemed myself, I hope. I'm so proud of you.
- 22:43Amazing. And of me too, even though I
- 22:45changed the song. Well, equally I did add, I added
- 22:48I got you in there And also if you'd if you'd have got any of
- 22:52those wrong, I genuinely don't think I'd have been able to be
- 22:54your friend because very easy. There definitely were more.
- 22:58I could have chosen a lot more conspicuous ones, but I didn't
- 23:02because I wanted you to do well. I think we should turn this into
- 23:06a biweekly segment and I think we should do the host or the the
- 23:15the quizzer chooses. That's a great idea.
- 23:18Yeah. Although we probably fail.
- 23:21Oh, no, I probably fail. You're definitely better at this
- 23:25than I am. I bear in mind.
- 23:27Yeah. Taylor Swift, I tell you now, no
- 23:31other than like the probably like maybe 10 songs on the
- 23:34Tortured Poets, because Tortured Poets is 32 songs long.
- 23:37I know every single song that woman has ever written.
- 23:40And I would still get them wrong because I'm just terrible at
- 23:43remembering the intros. So yeah, you definitely do
- 23:47better. We could do like a we could do
- 23:48like a Finish the lyric, Oh, my brains bubbling.
- 23:52My brains bubbling. So many segments, so many
- 23:55episodes to kind a good job. We've got like 10 albums to get
- 23:57through. We're going to be doing this for
- 23:59next 10 years. Yeah, 10 years.
- 24:02We'll be 40 by the time this podcast ends.
- 24:05That's fine. That's fine.
- 24:06Oh dear. Anyway, if you played along at
- 24:09home and you got them right, well done.
- 24:11Please let us know on our Instagram.
- 24:14You can comment on the posts on the stories or send us Adm.
- 24:17We love hearing from you anyway, so please let us know.
- 24:20And hopefully you did just as well as Shannon, because she's
- 24:23redeemed herself this week. So she's called herself.
- 24:26She can call herself a. Fan again a Chuck.
- 24:30I've got given some heroes at school today and I'm going to
- 24:32treat myself to one in a minute. You go for.
- 24:34A little prize you. Deserve it.
- 24:39It's time for Song of the week this week.
- 24:42Song Focus is the third song on Busted debut album Brittany.
- 24:49And this song was released in 2002 along with their debut
- 24:53album, which actually sold over 1.2 million copies and was
- 24:57certified four times platinum in the UK.
- 25:00That fact blew me away. And also, apparently Britney
- 25:03Spears heard the song shortly after its release and thought it
- 25:06was a nice gesture. I actually as a sorry I'm I'm
- 25:13going completely off topic. Well, not really, but as a
- 25:16Busted fan, I, it's not one of the, it's, it's like it's a song
- 25:22for the real fans, but it's not a song for your, your general,
- 25:26you know, child lover or whatever.
- 25:28Yeah, I can't believe that was four times platinum in the UK.
- 25:32Mental, literally mental. But actually, I think when I
- 25:37look at like, because obviously they did the Britney Nerdy
- 25:41medley on tour, which I loved. It was so nice to hear Brittany
- 25:45Knife after all these years. But equally I needed the whole
- 25:47song and it just wasn't enough. Yeah.
- 25:50But so I mean it's. So deeply loved by real, like
- 25:52real like strong fans, but I don't think but like your
- 25:55average fan. Yeah, there was so much love for
- 25:58it though. There was so much on tour and
- 26:01like even like when he came out in his Britney T-shirt and
- 26:03stuff, there was so much love for it.
- 26:05I think it made me realise it was a little bit more popular
- 26:07than perhaps I'd first perceived it to be.
- 26:09And obviously when I saw this fact, I was like, Christ, 1.2
- 26:12million copies, That's amazing. Yeah, that is amazing.
- 26:16Yeah. Another interesting fact about
- 26:18Busted and Brittany is that they actually went head to head to
- 26:22head for number one in the charts with Crash the Wedding
- 26:26and then Me Against the Music. That song she did with Madonna
- 26:28where they like, didn't they like get off in the music video?
- 26:31I think they kissed in that music.
- 26:32Yeah, I think they did. Or like it ended just before
- 26:35their lips touched. Maybe.
- 26:36I'm not sure but I. Think they actually kissed?
- 26:39I've got a, I've got a I've got a visual memory of them being
- 26:43back-to-back on the wall. You've stored that.
- 26:46Memory in your head. I have.
- 26:49You know me too well. Definitely stalled that one.
- 26:55I I had this vivid memory of her like putting her hand on the
- 26:59wall and like leaning into her face.
- 27:00Have you seen the wall? Discuss.
- 27:03Yeah, There's like a viral TikTok going around of like,
- 27:05like boys in books or something. And it's like somebody leaning
- 27:08on a wall. Yeah, it was that kind of kind
- 27:10of thing. And then there was that weird
- 27:12thing. On book talk I've seen.
- 27:14Yeah, I'm sure you have. There's also that performance
- 27:17that Madonna did with Britney and Christina.
- 27:20Do you remember? And she kissed both of them.
- 27:22Yes, this. Came up not that long ago and it
- 27:26was because I was looking at Britney's pissed off ready for
- 27:28this. We're looking at different
- 27:30women, Britney Spears kissed. Yes.
- 27:32Yeah. Well, obviously that's what I
- 27:33googled. But yeah, so busted one the top
- 27:37spot. That's crazy.
- 27:39Crash the wedding. Crash the Wedding beat me
- 27:41against the music with 6000 more copies, which I think is
- 27:45actually that bizarre to me because of that kiss because I
- 27:48remember it being very. Massive.
- 27:51It was, it was like very taboo and I remember.
- 27:54But it was the video. Talking about it.
- 27:56Yeah, it was the video, isn't it?
- 27:58It was the video I think that didn't the single song come out
- 28:01before the video or was it released at the same time back
- 28:03then? I can't remember.
- 28:05But equally I think back then was like when we bought CDs.
- 28:09Do you know what I mean? Like actual CD.
- 28:10There was no like there was no like logging into Spotify and
- 28:14downloading it like pre saving a song.
- 28:17Like it was genuinely go to HMV and buy the disc.
- 28:21So a little bit a little bit more mad.
- 28:24So the we've actually we've actually made the rest of this
- 28:27episode a little bit shorter because there's so much to talk
- 28:30about with this song and we've already waffled absolute Well,
- 28:33we've already talked absolute waffle, I suppose.
- 28:35So already in this like waffle first, waffle first bit of this
- 28:40section. So do you want to tell people
- 28:42what we're going to talk about mainly?
- 28:44Oh yeah. So we're going to mainly talk
- 28:45about the inspiration of the song, obviously, and the lyrics.
- 28:49Yes, and let's not forget that we also chat for England, so
- 28:52we'll probably get carried away at some point too.
- 28:54So we could be here all night, who knows?
- 28:56Do you want to give me your ratings out of 10 and talk about
- 29:00what you like about this song? OK, my rating out of 10 for this
- 29:03week is you're all going to be absolutely shook, bamboozled,
- 29:08because my live rating is the same as my like, streaming
- 29:13rating. Yeah, exactly the same. 10 out
- 29:17of 10. Yeah.
- 29:19She finally found a song that. She likes. 10 out of 10, I have
- 29:25no notes for this song. Like genuinely, I think it is a
- 29:30Stella song. I remember, I don't know if I've
- 29:32mentioned it on the podcast before.
- 29:35I might have mentioned it to you.
- 29:36And we were talking about like our favourite songs and stuff in
- 29:38passing. But I like this song so much
- 29:42that me and my mum, there was, there was this, there was this
- 29:45Pepsi competition where you collected.
- 29:48Oh yes, you know the you know the what's what?
- 29:51They called like the little cap of a cap.
- 29:54Tabs like the little ring ring tabs you.
- 29:56Collected enough of them and then you sent it off to Pepsi
- 30:00and then they sent you the CD and it was like a side Britney B
- 30:04side Dawson's Geek, which also like spoiler 10 out 10.
- 30:09But yeah, I absolutely love. I have no notes.
- 30:13It's just so good and it's doing exactly what they do best.
- 30:18It is fun music, brilliant storytelling and like secret
- 30:23messages within. Like the thing with Bust, yeah,
- 30:26they're so the thing with Busted is they make music for when I
- 30:30was younger, so I'm going to say kids.
- 30:31They make music for kids because I was listening to it then, but
- 30:35as an adult listening to it now, I'm like, Oh my God, how was I
- 30:38ever allowed to listen to that? Because they're so clever with
- 30:42how they write music. It doesn't sound like it's going
- 30:44to be a bit naughty. It doesn't sound like it's going
- 30:46to be a bit risque. Doesn't sound secret meanings,
- 30:49but there are definitely and there is.
- 30:51Yeah, so many. 10 out 10. Brilliant song.
- 30:54I love that for you. I'm so happy.
- 30:56After six episodes, we finally got past the sort of 56 mark.
- 31:00Yeah, it's been, it's been a big gap.
- 31:02So well done. I'm just going to touch on
- 31:04something you just said actually about how, you know, that we
- 31:08listened to this as kids. I told somebody earlier, it was
- 31:12somebody on my, my Instagram like business page and I was
- 31:16talking to her about just generic stuff and what I've been
- 31:18up to and whatnot and told her that I've been doing a podcast
- 31:21and she's like, oh, that sounds fun.
- 31:22Like what's it about? And I said, oh, it's, it's about
- 31:24Busted and McFly. I do it with my best friend and,
- 31:27you know, it's a lot of fun. And she, she sent me oh, and a
- 31:31laughing face. Not really my food.
- 31:35Used to listen to them as a kid though.
- 31:38Like rude. Oh block delete report as report
- 31:44as spam. I hope she never listens to
- 31:46this. I'm not taking the miss out of
- 31:47her at all. Like fair blade.
- 31:49I didn't. I did feel did that.
- 31:53That hit me hard, hit me in the heart.
- 31:56I felt, well, personally attacked.
- 31:59Yeah, To be fair, when I went to, when we, I went to the best,
- 32:02best McFly tour, I sent my partner a little photo because
- 32:07we got to the stadium really early because I just wanted to
- 32:10be nowhere. I sat, sat down, took a picture
- 32:14and most of the seats were empty because everyone was, you know,
- 32:16not there an hour and a half. And he was like, they're never
- 32:22going to sell that out. And then I was like, are you
- 32:25joking? And then when I got home, he was
- 32:27like, I can't believe people still listen to them.
- 32:29And I was like, are you how, how am I with you?
- 32:33Breathe. Breathe.
- 32:34We have children. Do children with this man?
- 32:38Jack just doesn't say anything. I know he's secretive judges,
- 32:41but. He doesn't say anything.
- 32:42Smart man. He's a very smart man.
- 32:45But like, you know, equally, like we were saying earlier,
- 32:47we've, we've got many different music tastes.
- 32:50And I I listen to Jack's music. I mean, Jack's music has changed
- 32:54a lot over the years. But I'm not sure he'd be down
- 32:57with down with it if I got into the car and put McFly on, to be
- 33:00completely honest. But, you know, it happens every
- 33:03now and again. It's all good.
- 33:05Oh, dear. So I love this song.
- 33:09Obviously. Yeah.
- 33:10Yeah, I've told you before, I absolutely love this song.
- 33:14I'm sorry, my phone is dinging in the background.
- 33:15I didn't even realise it wasn't in Silent.
- 33:17Apologies everybody. I think that in terms of
- 33:21ratings, I'd probably have to rate it a nine, because I know,
- 33:28I know. But I think for me, there's one
- 33:32more song that I would rate higher as there's a few songs
- 33:36that I would also rate 9 that are are due to come up.
- 33:39But there's another song that I, I know I would rate A10 and is
- 33:43my all time favourite Busted song.
- 33:45So I'm saving my 10 for that one.
- 33:52But yeah, I think it's a definitely a strong nine.
- 33:55I think for me, I think when I was younger, I think I, I jumped
- 34:01on that hype of like the Britney thing.
- 34:05Like I loved Brittany back when I was like young and I like the
- 34:08schoolgirl outfit. And like, you know, I think when
- 34:10I had, I might have, I think I had a couple of like outfit.
- 34:14Like if I went to a party or a fancy dress party or something,
- 34:17I would definitely go as like Brittany with the plaits and the
- 34:19schoolgirl outfit. Like I, I loved all of that.
- 34:23And not like, I think because, because it was so big, because
- 34:28all the girls. And this is the the thing I was
- 34:31like thinking about earlier was like all the girls wanted to be
- 34:33her and all the boys wanted her. Like they all fancied Brittany,
- 34:37wanted to be the girls, or wanted to be.
- 34:40Well, I put it slightly nicer than you, but, you know, if
- 34:43we're crossing that door, we might as well open it, swing it
- 34:47open wide. But yeah, I think, I think that
- 34:49was it. I think we all wanted to be, you
- 34:51know, as she was cool. She was a bit sassy and sexy and
- 34:55every. She was cool.
- 34:56Yeah, like I. Loved Britney, I was a proper
- 34:59Britney girl I liked. My favourite was crazy.
- 35:02Loved that song. Yeah, great song.
- 35:05I yeah, there's, there's so many good Britney songs.
- 35:09But I think for me, I think, yeah, definitely 9 out of 10.
- 35:12Again, I think it's the storytelling aspect, but I think
- 35:14it's definitely pure nostalgia because not only you getting
- 35:18that this is a busted song, so it's taking you back anyway to
- 35:21the naughties. But it's about Britney, who was
- 35:24very, very popular back then. And like the first lyric is
- 35:27literally your face is everywhere I go.
- 35:29You're on every television show. And it was like that.
- 35:32She was everywhere, like every magazine, everything on and TV.
- 35:36Like you'd literally go to the go to the supermarket and see
- 35:39Smash Hits and all the other mags and she was just on
- 35:42everything. She was in adverts.
- 35:44She was like the face of Pepsi, wasn't she?
- 35:46Literally, yeah. She was everywhere.
- 35:48Absolutely everywhere. And I think it's crazy that like
- 35:51somebody can take over like that.
- 35:53I mean, look at Taylor Swift bringing her up again.
- 35:55Sorry listeners. What's this?
- 35:58Hey, Taylor. Swift Well, no, unfortunately
- 36:01there was already a Taylor Swift podcast.
- 36:05We couldn't do one of those. But yeah, I think, you know,
- 36:08it's the same with her when when the era store was happening, she
- 36:11was everywhere, everything all over the place.
- 36:14There's no avoiding it. And and she is like the Britney
- 36:17of today, isn't she, when you think about it.
- 36:19So I definitely like it for the nostalgic aspect, but equally
- 36:23it's the storytelling. It's it's all of that, isn't it?
- 36:25But the inspiration? Really clever songwriting, I.
- 36:28Think Yeah, exactly. And like the inspiration being
- 36:32that they based it all around their love for her and how they
- 36:35were like completely obsessed with her.
- 36:37And I think not only did we relate to it, like because we
- 36:40were living at the same time as them, as the same sort of age as
- 36:44them, they were only sort of like 5 years older than us or
- 36:46whatever. And we, I think we, we almost
- 36:48looked at them like, I don't know about you, but when I was
- 36:5115, all I wanted was like an older boyfriend who had a car.
- 36:54Like I wanted, you know, like we wanted.
- 36:56There's like, cool boys. With my head and done in the
- 37:01back seat, I was all. Right, enough of the Taylor
- 37:03Swift preferences. But you know, I think we wanted
- 37:07that. But equally, and I'm not saying
- 37:08that loads of boys listened to Busted back in the day, but then
- 37:11some of them did because actually I bet a lot of them
- 37:14could could relate to this song because I bet a lot of them were
- 37:17obsessed with Britney, like Busted Fur.
- 37:19You know, there's so many subtle and not so subtle hints to
- 37:25Britney in this song. Do you know what we pick out?
- 37:28A. Few of it reminds me of a, you
- 37:32know, on the board. You know the I think it's a
- 37:35Facebook page and an Instagram page.
- 37:36It's a board in London where they, if somebody's playing in
- 37:40London, I know they did it with Lucy Parley.
- 37:42I think they did it with Buster Frust McFly.
- 37:43Actually, they write a whole passage that fit the song titles
- 37:48in it. On the tube, underground white,
- 37:51white boards. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:52Yeah, I think the the page is called on the board, on the
- 37:55board. This this song is the song
- 37:59version of those boards. I love that that's such a good
- 38:03idea, actually makes. A lot like, that's literally
- 38:05what it, yeah, that's what it feels like to me because there's
- 38:08so many references. So many and we have picked out a
- 38:12few to share with you guys, hence why this episode has been
- 38:15chopped in other places because we're already at 40 minutes and
- 38:18there's so many, so many to share.
- 38:21So we're going to have a go at sharing some of the lyrics and
- 38:24some of the things that relate to those lyrics.
- 38:27Do you want to go first, Chan? Yeah.
- 38:30OK. What about let's say it because
- 38:33I've just mentioned it, but the lyric Pepsi, let me taste you.
- 38:37Yes, that's like a direct limit lyric to Britney because she was
- 38:42the face of Pepsi for a really long time.
- 38:45Yeah, in it was 2001 actually, and it was the biggest ever
- 38:48promotional deal with Pepsi. She signed a contract with them
- 38:52and she was like their spokesperson for a really long
- 38:55time. So it was like a well known
- 38:58thing that that Britney was the face of Pepsi.
- 39:01So a great little lyric in there.
- 39:03I love all of the ***NSYNC and things like like the bits,
- 39:09honestly, when I, I started reading about them and obviously
- 39:12you know, they're in there, but like to actually put like link
- 39:15them in. So they do the I need you here
- 39:20with May. May.
- 39:24And obviously that is a direct, direct reference to NSYNC's
- 39:29number one hit. It's gonna be May, which
- 39:33obviously they don't say me, they say May.
- 39:37It's gonna be May. And obviously the reason they
- 39:40did this is because even though it's not a Britney Spears song,
- 39:43it is because Britney was in a very high profile relationship
- 39:47with Justin Timberlake, who was N syncs probably most famous
- 39:51member at the time and. Still is I would say.
- 39:55Yeah, very. Any other members actually like
- 39:59their full name? Well, probably not.
- 40:02And it's there's they also say because one day it's going to be
- 40:08me. That's obviously the song is
- 40:12called It's going to Be Me. So another direct reference
- 40:16there as well. Have you got any more you want
- 40:18to share? How about what about I'll become
- 40:25a slave for you? Brilliant or you drive me crazy.
- 40:30You drive me crazy. Literally her song his the song
- 40:34is literally called Brackets. You drive me word crazy.
- 40:38Yeah, exactly. I love the I'll become a slave
- 40:42for you lyric. I do you want to know something
- 40:45really funny? I'm going to write this down to
- 40:48say and I didn't write it down. And then I was like, I'll
- 40:50probably mention it anyway, But that lyric when he says I'll
- 40:54become a slave for you, that bit I'd swear down never knew what
- 40:59he was saying. And I used to just chat.
- 41:01I literally used to say I'll become a slave for you.
- 41:04I actually know what they were saying.
- 41:08And I swear down. It took me years to actually
- 41:12realise that what the lyrics are, I have a lot.
- 41:14More respect from you for you now.
- 41:16I really do. That's brilliant.
- 41:20I can't believe it. I think we need to do a section
- 41:22of misheard lyrics because there's definitely some McFly
- 41:24ones as well. They're terrible.
- 41:27Obviously. I'm a Slave For You was massive
- 41:30because it was a really edgy music video and it was showing
- 41:35like that she's moved. She was moving away from that
- 41:37like Girl Next Door era where she was really, you know, like
- 41:42soft. Sorry to interrupt you.
- 41:43Sorry to interrupt you, but if you can hear anything in the
- 41:45background, my cat is meowing like crazy.
- 41:47OK, this is he just really likes.
- 41:51His song, obviously he loves it. He wants to be your slave.
- 41:55Or he's singing in his head about you because you're
- 41:57probably more his slave. I am his slave.
- 42:00That's all we are to. Come, he's meowing because he
- 42:03just wants a little stroke. That's so funny, sorry.
- 42:06Carry. On no problem, say she was
- 42:08moving away from the girl next door image, which was her being
- 42:10very sweet and innocent to being, you know, a little bit
- 42:12more bad bad girl. Do you remember this scene where
- 42:16she had that massive snake around her?
- 42:19She. Literally had like an Anaconda
- 42:21or something, and she was like dancing with this.
- 42:22And she was, yeah. Wasn't she in like green and the
- 42:25Anaconda is like a yellowy? Colour.
- 42:27Yeah, yeah, yeah. The background's all golden.
- 42:30I think, sorry, just knocked my microphone over.
- 42:32I think she did it live as well. I had like a live snake brought
- 42:37out on stage at one point as well, which is mad because
- 42:39probably wouldn't be able to do that anymore.
- 42:41But yeah, that was like a massive thing.
- 42:43Obviously a huge change for her. So adding that in was pretty
- 42:46cool. And you mentioned You Drive Me
- 42:50Crazy. The song obviously came from,
- 42:54there was a movie called Drive Me Crazy.
- 42:56I don't know whether you you know it had.
- 42:59I don't know that. Melissa Joan Hart, if you watch
- 43:02the video, she's like the blonde girl.
- 43:04Yeah, yeah, I love Melissa Joan Hart so much.
- 43:07She's a music video. Yeah, yeah.
- 43:09So that the music video, it was literally promoting the film and
- 43:12the film was originally called Next to You.
- 43:14But when they added the song to the soundtrack, they changed the
- 43:18name of the film to Drive Me Crazy because that was the name
- 43:21of the song she wrote for it. Crazy that.
- 43:23Is crazy, so crazy. Absolutely Chrissy.
- 43:28I love this Joan Hart, a little known for this little bit of
- 43:31Shannon trivia. My first ever e-mail address
- 43:34wasshannontheteenagewitch@aol.com because I was obsessed.
- 43:41I was deeply obsessed with Sabrina Tayndridge.
- 43:44I'm quite a like witchy, like I like fantasy stuff like that.
- 43:48Anyway, I love all that kind of like 90s nostalgia witchy vibes.
- 43:53Sabrina the Teenage Witch just won me over.
- 43:55I've actually started watching it with my eldest daughter.
- 43:58That makes me so happy, Oh my God.
- 44:01I can remember. So I can remember watching it
- 44:04after school. Yeah, when I.
- 44:06When she like changes her clothes in the mirror, she like
- 44:09points. Yeah, and they had the cat,
- 44:11didn't they? Yeah.
- 44:12Salem. Little cat.
- 44:13Salem. Yeah.
- 44:14Yeah, I love that. Love him.
- 44:16Yeah, 100%. I, I, there's so many more.
- 44:20I like the that there's one line that God must have spent a
- 44:25little more time on you. God must have spent a little
- 44:28more time on you. That's an M sync song, which is
- 44:31literally called bracket. God must have spent bracket a
- 44:34little more time on you. That was actually the name of
- 44:37their song. So very, very direct reference.
- 44:40And then the next line is in school uniform.
- 44:43You look so good, obviously. What does this relate to
- 44:46Shannon? Do you want to tell everybody?
- 44:47Because obviously. Everybody.
- 44:49Knows but. Is it hit me baby, one more
- 44:52time? It it might have been it.
- 44:55Might be when I think of that music video, I don't think of
- 44:59her in her uniform. I think of, you know, the little
- 45:02this is Sonish, this is Sonish. I think I'm the only one that
- 45:05thinks of this. But you know the little pink pom
- 45:09pom hair bubble? She has.
- 45:12Oh, she's like a flat with a little pink.
- 45:14They have like little balls on them or something.
- 45:17Yeah, they're like little pink, pink pom pom balls.
- 45:20I when I tell you I wanted those hair bubbles so much, I used to
- 45:23go to Claire's accessories looking specifically for those
- 45:26hair bubbles. I love that so much.
- 45:29I used to aggressively chew gum because I wanted to look as cool
- 45:32as she does in that video. Aggressively chewing gum.
- 45:35Yeah. Such a lever not good.
- 45:39And then there's another one that I really like, which is the
- 45:44you say that you're not a girl, I'll make you a woman.
- 45:49So good, which is good. Obviously another direct
- 45:54reference from her song I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, which
- 45:57was my third album and it was in, it was in Crossroads.
- 46:02Did you know? I found this fact out, found
- 46:04this fact out that this song won the Golden Raspberry Award for
- 46:10worst original song. Worst.
- 46:14I'm not even joking. To the point where I literally
- 46:16spent about 15 minutes earlier looking up what the Golden
- 46:19Raspberry Award was. So apparently there's an actual
- 46:23like, you know, you have like, the Grammys and the Baftas and
- 46:27all of that. Yeah, this is like, the opposite
- 46:31of that. And it's for, is it like worst?
- 46:34Yeah, like a Raspberry, like if something's rubbish and see they
- 46:38rate the worst songs in in music so it won worst original song.
- 46:43But apparently it's because the movie was bad.
- 46:46Not the song was bad. Movie got a really bad rap.
- 46:50I couldn't believe it. I've literally put love to the
- 46:52movie. What the fuck?
- 46:53Next to my note. This movie was so good.
- 46:57So I think, Oh my God, I think I used to watch it like once a
- 47:01month. Like I loved it.
- 47:04I genuinely it was like a a feel good movie for me.
- 47:07Oh my God, I've just, I've just remembered they sing and sing in
- 47:10that movie. Of course they do.
- 47:12In the car, they sing. Do they sing?
- 47:14Bye, bye, bye. Yeah.
- 47:15Yeah, yeah, yeah. I used to love that film and it
- 47:18was very much like a dream of one day escaping the lonely
- 47:23roads of Cornwall in a convertible with my best girl
- 47:25pals. Yeah, which obviously, obviously
- 47:28happened. All the time, every day.
- 47:32I I also really like the lyric. Don't judge me because it's a
- 47:37bit saucy, but I think it's very smart.
- 47:40I like the lyric. You can, you can run, you can
- 47:43hide. I'll make you feel good inside.
- 47:47Oh. Very saucy, but very smart.
- 47:53Like I was saying Elliot's the lyrics are so smart because the
- 47:56song sometimes, sometimes. Sometimes they're high.
- 48:01Yeah. Sometimes I'm scared of scared
- 48:04of you. What's a tune such?
- 48:07A good song, but yeah, like, unless you know Britney's busy
- 48:10songs, and unless you know that this song is direct reference to
- 48:13Britney, you wouldn't know that that is.
- 48:15Yeah, that is like a reference. In for her.
- 48:18Yeah, exactly. It's so clever.
- 48:20I mean look at that. That's like what, 9 points, 8-9
- 48:22points that we've made at least on this, just on the lyrics.
- 48:26And you know, obviously like the way they sing and stuff as well
- 48:29is quite like they reference like a bit of the, the me and
- 48:33the May thing. And they say baby as well at one
- 48:36point. And he says like, you know, like
- 48:38Britney Spears is like iconic hit me baby one more time.
- 48:42And she goes, oh, baby, baby at the beginning.
- 48:50I'm not sure I can. Oh baby, baby.
- 48:54Thank you. You're welcome.
- 48:56That's good. I was going to say, you're going
- 48:58to clip that and play at my 40th birthday, aren't you?
- 49:01Yes I am. I'm just scary child.
- 49:05Scary. Close.
- 49:06Scarily not that far away. Well, hopefully you guys enjoyed
- 49:11hearing a little bit of the information about why this song
- 49:15is so good in our eyes, but also all those amazing references to
- 49:20the one the only Britney Spears. Britney also, if you haven't
- 49:24heard the song, if you are one of those like casual fans that I
- 49:27was listening to and you've just like stumbled across this
- 49:29podcast, please do yourself a favour and listen to that song
- 49:32because I promise you, it's my first.
- 49:35It's my first 10 out of 10 for a reason.
- 49:37My first high rated song. Also a little like I have quite
- 49:41a few 10 out of 10s for Bastard. They just haven't come up OK.
- 49:44I'm not just like a little hater giving them all four stars.
- 49:46No, we're only three down for Bastard and three down for OK,
- 49:50so you've got time. I've got time to redeem myself
- 49:53in that instance as well, like I did with the quiz.
- 49:55I'll redeem it with songs. Yeah, it's brilliant.
- 49:59Go and listen to it. Actually, even if you've heard
- 50:01it before, go and listen to it again.
- 50:05Hit replay. Hit Replay.
