- 0:40Speaker 5: your baseball game. Your was your son's baseball game.
- 0:43Speaker 4: It was my.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Nephew's baseball games. So many baseball softball games in our
- 0:47Speaker 1: lives right now. But something really interesting happened in the
- 0:50Speaker 1: middle of the game. Like it was pretty intense because
- 0:54Speaker 1: I think they were rival schools, and all of a sudden,
- 0:56Speaker 1: the umpire just ran just ran off the field, and
- 1:00Speaker 1: everyone's kind of like looking at each other, like where's
- 1:02Speaker 1: he going?
- 1:02Speaker 2: What is he doing?
- 1:03Speaker 1: And it's out in the open, so we're watching where
- 1:06Speaker 1: he's running to, and we see he's going to the
- 1:09Speaker 1: porta potties nearby.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Your call, Would you could hold a number one for
- 1:15Speaker 2: a while?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:17Speaker 1: So you know, start to get a little sympathy for
- 1:19Speaker 1: this guy because it had to have been an emergent
- 1:22Speaker 1: moment for him to literally just hop up and bounce
- 1:24Speaker 1: in the middle was kind of gone for a long time.
- 1:27Speaker 1: So one of the coaches is like, should I step
- 1:30Speaker 1: in and improvise being the umpire here?
- 1:34Speaker 2: I would you say like time out or no if
- 1:36Speaker 2: you're out?
- 1:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean he's probably got up and ran, and
- 1:38Speaker 4: maybe he thought it was gonna be a quick visit
- 1:40Speaker 4: and it was not a quick visit.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Maybe something else happened. That's the first I know.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Everyone left, though We're like stuck going like what do
- 1:48Speaker 1: we do in this situation or whatever?
- 1:50Speaker 2: And we're kind of just waiting and waiting, and neither.
- 1:52Speaker 1: One of the coaches wanted to step in and improvise
- 1:54Speaker 1: being being the empire because then they would think they're
- 1:58Speaker 1: being favored their team, So we just waited.
- 2:01Speaker 2: We just raded. But I'm like, he came back.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Maybe a parent could have stepped in or someone like
- 2:06Speaker 1: someone should have done something in that case.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But did did A? Did he when he came back?
- 2:11Speaker 2: Does he acknowledge anything about that?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Just game on?
- 2:14Speaker 2: Does he run back or walk back? He jugged? Wow,
- 2:17Speaker 2: he jugged Ginger?
- 2:18Speaker 1: So how long was he in the pody for aroximately
- 2:22Speaker 1: twelve to fifteen?
- 2:23Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that is a big maternity for children. Listen, hey, Darren,
- 2:28Speaker 2: what's up man? You're on the air. You got a
- 2:30Speaker 2: story that's relatable to this?
- 2:31Speaker 4: Uh?
- 2:32Speaker 3: Yeah, So I was an efficient at my college roommate's wedding.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Thirty seconds into the ceremony, I realized I left my
- 2:38Speaker 3: entire printer's speech at my hotel room, so I had
- 2:42Speaker 3: nothing memorized, like nothing. So I stood there at the
- 2:46Speaker 3: altar with two hundred people staring at me, and I
- 2:50Speaker 3: just started improvising. Like I talked for like almost eleven
- 2:53Speaker 3: minutes straight, making up stories about about them that I
- 2:57Speaker 3: wasn't even short it was true. I just, you know,
- 3:00Speaker 3: I just went along with what I was saying at
- 3:01Speaker 3: the time. At some point, I think I accidentally implied
- 3:05Speaker 3: that they met in rehab.
- 3:08Speaker 5: I need not.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I don't think they met and rehab. I'm not one
- 3:12Speaker 3: hundred percent shore, but the groom mother grabbed my arm
- 3:16Speaker 3: as the receptions, I was kind of scared. I was like,
- 3:18Speaker 3: oh my god, did I said something wrong? And she
- 3:20Speaker 3: said that that was the most beautiful thing. She was
- 3:25Speaker 3: probably wasted, so they had no idea that it was
- 3:29Speaker 3: all made up.
- 3:30Speaker 5: That's great. That's probably what the umpire was waiting for
- 3:33Speaker 5: Kyle to say to him. That was just so beautiful.
- 3:39Speaker 2: You have the game finish up in a big hurry
- 3:41Speaker 2: after that, all right, Darren, Well, thanks for calling in man.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Oh yeah, thank you.
- 3:47Speaker 5: You know, speaking of the Empire story, just the other day,
- 3:49Speaker 5: my wife and I were we walked his place to
- 3:51Speaker 5: goat breakfast, and and I normally will be going this walk, Werove,
- 3:56Speaker 5: You've done many many times. Sometimes I have an emergency
- 3:59Speaker 5: because I'm working on my diet right and I'm working
- 4:01Speaker 5: on my gut health, and sometimes I have to go
- 4:03Speaker 5: to the bathroom. And there's been a couple of times
- 4:06Speaker 5: where I've had to go right, you know, you know
- 4:09Speaker 5: I'm talking about.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Like like the umpire the situation.
- 4:12Speaker 5: Yeah, so we're sitting there at breakfast and she goes, okay,
- 4:16Speaker 5: you're ready to walk back, and I like, yeah, I
- 4:17Speaker 5: think I have to go to the bathroom, and I'm like, no,
- 4:18Speaker 5: never mind, I think I'd be okay, and she's like, no,
- 4:21Speaker 5: you go in there, go to the bathroom. I don't
- 4:22Speaker 5: want to have to deal with you pooping in the
- 4:24Speaker 5: alley again. I was like, yeah, I bet you never
- 4:28Speaker 5: thought you were going to say that ever in a relationship.
- 4:31Speaker 5: But it was an emergency and I had to go.
- 4:33Speaker 4: The storage unit.
- 4:35Speaker 5: That was the other one was the other one the
- 4:38Speaker 5: other way. And that's why I can completely relate and
- 4:40Speaker 5: understand this umpire. Sometimes things happen and you have to go,
- 4:44Speaker 5: Like I wonder if a police officer would use that, Like,
- 4:46Speaker 5: if you're a basic, normal, upstanding citizen and you're caught
- 4:51Speaker 5: in an emergency situation go to the bathroom, they arrest you,
- 4:54Speaker 5: or they go, hey, I understand you.
- 4:55Speaker 2: You had to be at that level. And it depends
- 4:57Speaker 2: where you are. Yeah, what's what I mean.
- 4:58Speaker 5: So if you are in the city, if you're coming
- 5:00Speaker 5: out of the nightclub in the middle of the ninety
- 5:02Speaker 5: in the street, okay, that's wrong.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But if you are driving by somewhere.
- 5:05Speaker 5: And you see a guy with his wife and he's
- 5:09Speaker 5: in an alley going to the bathroom, Like I've gone
- 5:11Speaker 5: number one in the bushes, and I'm looking in an
- 5:13Speaker 5: alley looking at the bushes, and I'm like, if I
- 5:14Speaker 5: get pull over, you know, we.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Should almost ask an officer, let's I would like to
- 5:20Speaker 4: know the answer to I would too, because I really
- 5:22Speaker 4: don't know.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I actually could see that becoming like like an on,
- 5:25Speaker 1: like an ongoing bit for us.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Ask an officer. He had to go. You had to go, man,
- 5:36Speaker 2: John J.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Rich because FM or she just a text text JJR
- 5:38Speaker 5: and whatever situation you were in where you had to
- 5:40Speaker 5: improvise to get out of it.
- 5:42Speaker 2: The ninety six eight nine three
