- 2:00Speaker 1: life on the line and stay. J Cole is the
- 2:03Speaker 1: best rapping in the history of rappers. Okay, I mean
- 2:06Speaker 1: I was in my feelings at the concert because man,
- 2:09Speaker 1: you just he me saying some ship man putting funtage

- 2:53Speaker 1: they're getting to the money over there, so doing some expanding.
- 2:57Speaker 1: And then I hosted the inaugural Everyone Eats Foundation and gala,
- 3:01Speaker 1: which was really dope. Shout out the Summer. It's a
- 3:03Speaker 1: nonprofit organization in Atlanta that focuses on the youth and
- 3:06Speaker 1: that girl working out here in these streets. Yeah, it was.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It was good at Thanks for having me, guys. That's beautiful. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 1: you're just growing and growing, you know what I'm talking about, right, Yes,
- 3:16Speaker 1: the dream is speaking of the dream being real, I
- 3:18Speaker 1: had an opportunity with a beautiful a man that seals
- 3:22Speaker 1: to host her Smart, Funny and Black Show. I want
- 3:26Speaker 1: to go on records saying this right now. It's one
- 3:28Speaker 1: of the best shows out and not only is it
- 3:31Speaker 1: one of the best shows out, she's probably one of
- 3:33Speaker 1: the funniest motherfucker's I've ever heard do skit variety stand up,
- 3:39Speaker 1: I mean the smart um, The smart, funny and Black
- 3:44Speaker 1: show is variety, comedy is so many different things, and
- 3:48Speaker 1: she nailed it. I won, by the way. I am
- 3:51Speaker 1: a black spurt robed in crown. I beat the Beautiful
- 3:56Speaker 1: Terry v Yes, yes, the Beautiful Terry Vaughan was my competition. Um,
- 4:06Speaker 1: and I annihilated her. I did. I didn't respect where
- 4:09Speaker 1: I hugged and high fives her the whole way. Um.
- 4:11Speaker 1: But yeah, it was kind of unfair too because it
- 4:14Speaker 1: was a lot of a t L questions you know
- 4:15Speaker 1: what I mean, question but it is but it was
- 4:21Speaker 1: like some Detroit slang and somewhere she got the West
- 4:24Speaker 1: Coast slang because she's from the Bay. Um. But you know,
- 4:27Speaker 1: so it was it was a great time. But like
- 4:29Speaker 1: I said, I was just so impressed with the man
- 4:32Speaker 1: and the way she put it together. And she comes
- 4:34Speaker 1: up with the shows that day, so she has an
- 4:35Speaker 1: idea of like, obviously the guests are gonna be in
- 4:37Speaker 1: the show she puts together that day and she really
- 4:40Speaker 1: murdered it. She just left. She did Atlanta and went
- 4:43Speaker 1: to New Orleans. She's gonna be in Houston, Uh next,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Dallas and Houston next. So super happy for her. Uh
- 4:50Speaker 1: smart funny and black on Instagram follow that movement. Um,
- 4:55Speaker 1: and we got special guest today. So let's get the
- 4:57Speaker 1: show started now. Sign for in case you h prayers
- 5:06Speaker 1: go out for the legend Aretha Franklin. Y'all, she's not
- 5:09Speaker 1: doing too well. We are sending love, uh and prayers
- 5:12Speaker 1: to her and her family um as well. Addie Laverte
- 5:15Speaker 1: passed out on stage here in Atlanta as well. Man,
- 5:20Speaker 1: he's fine. They're saying it was the hydration man, But
- 5:24Speaker 1: the legends. Man, I'm saying, you know what, it's crazy
- 5:27Speaker 1: to think as we get older, we'll be forgetting that
- 5:30Speaker 1: our legends get older too. Bro Like, I'm bugging out,
- 5:33Speaker 1: Like I'm just even listening to a Frankie Beverly and
- 5:35Speaker 1: Maze like advertisement. I've been hearing the stories about his voices.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Vocal ability is not what he used to be, and
- 5:42Speaker 1: I'm like, damn, let me go see I still picture
- 5:47Speaker 1: her as one age like in her Aretha. I don't
- 5:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, So God bless Aretha. All O
- 5:55Speaker 1: gs man, young kids, definitely, it's arrest. Get some rest,
- 6:00Speaker 1: take your time. They're gonna fry on rossa yard. They're
- 6:05Speaker 1: gonna no, no, no, we don't fry to in the hood.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I'm talking about they're gonna fry man. And I want
- 6:11Speaker 1: to go ahead and just put it out there. Of course,
- 6:12Speaker 1: we've all heard what's going on with Omar Rosa, and
- 6:15Speaker 1: you know the tape she recorded something in the most
- 6:18Speaker 1: supposedly the most secure room in the White House. Um,
- 6:22Speaker 1: but let's just step back for a second. At the
- 6:24Speaker 1: end of the day, man of thought and all these
- 6:26Speaker 1: other motherfucker's out here stealing lying. You got Donnie Jr.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And I'm talking, I was in with the Russians. Trump
- 6:35Speaker 1: already put him in public opinion and frieda more accidental. Yeah,
- 6:38Speaker 1: he was in there, but he was getting intail on
- 6:40Speaker 1: on Hillary. But I didn't know nothing about it. Okay,
- 6:42Speaker 1: what you just said, what he was doing. So my
- 6:45Speaker 1: point is they're gonna make an example out of Rosa
- 6:48Speaker 1: because all these other people that deserved have been in
- 6:51Speaker 1: jail and impeached and so on and so forth. They're
- 6:54Speaker 1: gonna take a fact. They're gonna take out on amor
- 6:57Speaker 1: Rosa though, they're gonna take out I can't believe I
- 7:00Speaker 1: said her name that many times when I'm up, But
- 7:02Speaker 1: they're gonna fry. They're gonna fry, and she almost deserves it.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You want to know why, because you knew you weren't
- 7:11Speaker 1: supposed to be in there anyway. So they weren't gonna
- 7:14Speaker 1: have your back anyway. Thank you, and you out there
- 7:16Speaker 1: going against the grain for what? Thank you? Hello, get
- 7:19Speaker 1: some more follows and get some that's what she's gonna say,
- 7:26Speaker 1: community guy. And then you're trying to come back sympathy.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You want some support. And I will say this to
- 7:31Speaker 1: her because I know her. You are a very smart woman,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and I would venture to say that you've done everything
- 7:38Speaker 1: you've done on purpose. But you're putting out this tape,
- 7:41Speaker 1: is putting you in a peculiar situation that you're not
- 7:44Speaker 1: gonna be able to come back for I mean from
- 7:46Speaker 1: and then the book. I mean, I do want to
- 7:49Speaker 1: read the book because I'm sure there's some juicy something's
- 7:51Speaker 1: in there. I mean they were talking about how we
- 7:53Speaker 1: pronounced I would buy it. Would we pronounce her name again?
- 7:59Speaker 1: The only way to get us back in your pocket,
- 8:01Speaker 1: Go fight crime in Chicago. You're gonna fight, Go fight
- 8:05Speaker 1: crime in Chicago and lower the crime rate, and then
- 8:10Speaker 1: maybe we can you know what I'm saying, We can
- 8:11Speaker 1: discuss it. I just, I just I don't believe they're
- 8:14Speaker 1: gonna let up. And speaking of white supremacis um, the
- 8:19Speaker 1: white supremacists made their way to d C for all right, right,
- 8:25Speaker 1: bad They didn't go bad, I didn't. It didn't nothing
- 8:28Speaker 1: crazy it was. It was. It was a low turn
- 8:30Speaker 1: low turn out. Hundred facts. But the craziest thing was Airbnb. No,
- 8:36Speaker 1: they had police escorts though the police escorts they paid
- 8:39Speaker 1: for it. Though they had a train line that went
- 8:42Speaker 1: from the Vienna station into Foggy Bottom. I think direct train.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Are you letting people move around like well, I guess why.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I know why they left and they have to protect
- 8:53Speaker 1: them because you were in Washington, d C. I don't
- 8:55Speaker 1: given how much you try to generify the city, the
- 8:58Speaker 1: element is still around and they will at you. But
- 9:00Speaker 1: there was a one video on ball Alert and Seeson
- 9:02Speaker 1: put this on the screen. The young brother was in
- 9:04Speaker 1: the middle of the march and they had started like
- 9:08Speaker 1: a bond fire right, and people were trying to knight
- 9:11Speaker 1: the fire and the young black kid and the fire
- 9:13Speaker 1: was against Trump. They were trying to set whatever on
- 9:16Speaker 1: fire as a disk to Trump. But the young black
- 9:18Speaker 1: people like y'all don't live here. Y'all do not live here.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Y'are not gonna clean this ship up when y'all go
- 9:24Speaker 1: home after setting all this ship on fire, to have.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You're not gonna throw nothing. He was literally standing there
- 9:29Speaker 1: when people try to throw paper that y'all. I ain't
- 9:31Speaker 1: vote for Trump, but you ain't gonna putting no fuel
- 9:33Speaker 1: to this fire. Y'all going home after this, And I
- 9:35Speaker 1: thought that was big And I thought it was also
- 9:37Speaker 1: big enough drastic happened because we know what could have happened.
- 9:41Speaker 1: That's Chocolate City. I don't get funk what you want
- 9:43Speaker 1: to talk about, how much you try to change the city,
- 9:45Speaker 1: how much you're talking about policy, that's Chocolate City. I mean,
- 9:48Speaker 1: Atlanta is the new Chocolate City. But d C had
- 9:50Speaker 1: the first title. There were still there, goddamn God bless
- 9:55Speaker 1: and it's so tired, y'all. That's that's your native hometown. Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I'm from Washington, DC. Want to raise Yeah, second home
- 10:05Speaker 1: is Atlanta. But I've been in Atlanta longer I've been
- 10:07Speaker 1: in d C at this point because now I'm my
- 10:08Speaker 1: oldest dirt with DC right now. Anyway, for Atlanta being
- 10:12Speaker 1: like one of the most economical places for a Americans, Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: my b speaking of dirt. Selena Posada, let's just talking
- 10:25Speaker 1: about can't be talking about not one of my favorite
- 10:35Speaker 1: guys history of that Pictures of the Pictures League. I
- 10:39Speaker 1: was like, this gotta be old. Is this new? This new?
- 10:45Speaker 1: It was old that that ship still hurt my soul.
- 10:47Speaker 1: I just don't even want to. I'm not talking about him.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Let's talk about her at the end of the day.
- 10:51Speaker 1: What type of journey are you on? She liked the
- 10:55Speaker 1: journey are you on? Do you remember cat stacks? You
- 10:59Speaker 1: remember cats acts, danger, danger, She's on the currins. You's
- 11:04Speaker 1: gonna do a book or some type of reality show something,
- 11:07Speaker 1: something's coming. But it's not new. It's not it's not new.
- 11:11Speaker 1: You're not the first one doing it anymore recent though,
- 11:14Speaker 1: But it's not what I'm saying. The people that did
- 11:17Speaker 1: it before her did it for the attention, the sex, taste,
- 11:20Speaker 1: all the things. It's not new. She likes the attention,
- 11:23Speaker 1: but it still works. It's not working. What's she getting
- 11:26Speaker 1: from it? It works? The thing about holes like when
- 11:31Speaker 1: people wanting holes want what they want the right, they
- 11:34Speaker 1: want the attention, they want to sleep at you, they
- 11:36Speaker 1: want to get a couple of gifts. If she's getting
- 11:38Speaker 1: all that she is getting, she's winning, not the lest
- 11:44Speaker 1: like she's losing in the grand scheme. Agreed, But in
- 11:48Speaker 1: her mind, she's getting everything she wants how she wants it,
- 11:51Speaker 1: so she's winning in her mind. I don't want I
- 11:54Speaker 1: don't want this. I got God babies that I don't want.
- 11:57Speaker 1: This is not this is not status quo. What I
- 12:01Speaker 1: mean the all these men that keep messing on her
- 12:03Speaker 1: and status quo. Okay, we'll talk about something ain't right
- 12:06Speaker 1: with that? Like how many times this girl have to
- 12:09Speaker 1: fool guys for you guys to stop, like, come on,
- 12:15Speaker 1: not stop sleep though. I mean, she she has got
- 12:21Speaker 1: that thing, you know what I'm saying. I don't know
- 12:22Speaker 1: what she had the phone, but hands off her and
- 12:28Speaker 1: sleeping bed with her, like holding her, like y'all are
- 12:30Speaker 1: really like together, like we need to get so much.
- 12:39Speaker 1: She wants to do so, she se Selena Selena Selena Darling. Hello, dear,
- 12:44Speaker 1: we'd like to have you on the ball Alert show.
- 12:46Speaker 1: We don't really have guests, we're starting to do it more,
- 12:49Speaker 1: but we'd like to have you on, and we'll give
- 12:51Speaker 1: you a fair shake. We'll give you the opportunity to
- 12:54Speaker 1: tell your side of the story and if it's what
- 12:56Speaker 1: you're doing and what you want to do, so be it.
- 12:58Speaker 1: But we want to know why I particularly would like
- 13:00Speaker 1: to know why, So please accept my invitation to come
- 13:03Speaker 1: on the ball of their show. Let's have a conversation
- 13:05Speaker 1: about your activity out here in these streets. Is the
- 13:09Speaker 1: dream real or no? Um? Kanye West y'all released a
- 13:14Speaker 1: tractor d J Clark Kent Clark Kent came on the
- 13:17Speaker 1: social sphere and said the card that Kanye asked him
- 13:20Speaker 1: to drop ecstasy um. And in the song he talked
- 13:23Speaker 1: about some things you'd probably say off of extasy. Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: you know, I talked about the Kardashian sisters and sister
- 13:32Speaker 1: in laws that he would do. Yeah, you gotta sister
- 13:35Speaker 1: in law, you will smash I got from damn those sisters.
- 13:43Speaker 1: He did something on Holy Chicken pictures. Damn you need
- 13:47Speaker 1: to be locked up. Now we need a bigger hot tell. Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 1: that's a very honest you know what I'm saying. I
- 13:55Speaker 1: don't know. I'm pretty sure it's a lot of guys
- 13:58Speaker 1: that have in laws that they've probably looked at him,
- 14:00Speaker 1: was like, damn, she bad. Yeah, this is this is
- 14:06Speaker 1: my thing. I am weirded out by the acceptance of
- 14:11Speaker 1: it all. You know what I'm saying, Like the Kardashians
- 14:14Speaker 1: are clearly great at what they do, regardless of I mean,
- 14:18Speaker 1: they're clearly great at what they do, but they really don't.
- 14:22Speaker 1: They don't. It's so public where almost looks orchestrated. He
- 14:29Speaker 1: wasn't all when you record the song. How do you
- 14:32Speaker 1: know Rory was you in Wyoming. I'm assuming that he
- 14:38Speaker 1: did it psychologically from being off. Therefore, I'm pretty sure
- 14:45Speaker 1: it can probably with him. You know what you should say, Babe,
- 14:48Speaker 1: you should say this, But I really think they do
- 14:51Speaker 1: that though. I know, I really think it's to the
- 14:53Speaker 1: point where like he's going to be a billionaire from
- 14:55Speaker 1: Easy and you know he's about to sell that, right,
- 14:57Speaker 1: He's about to be a being there from you Easy.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Let's just even the comments on or the non comment.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Kanye were waiting for her comment too, brother, we need
- 15:04Speaker 1: that um on Jimmy Kitling. He basically, you know, went
- 15:08Speaker 1: on this whole whatever and then got to the question
- 15:10Speaker 1: that everybody needed answer toil and then they go to
- 15:13Speaker 1: commercial and then was that stage too, and then Trump
- 15:16Speaker 1: said I appreciate you, Kanye, thank you for having my back. Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Donald Trump and other known white supremacists say that I
- 15:23Speaker 1: think Donald Trump and six nine are related. Six nine.
- 15:27Speaker 1: By the way, he turned into orange and orange before
- 15:33Speaker 1: it goes to purple and yellow to six nine is
- 15:35Speaker 1: turned into a comedian. I think he's going. When he
- 15:38Speaker 1: was tossing the soap, the bar soap, trying not to
- 15:41Speaker 1: drop it, did you guys see that? Did you see
- 15:43Speaker 1: when he was eating stay away from y I know
- 15:44Speaker 1: that way? Did you see when he was eating the plants?
- 15:48Speaker 1: What was that for? I don't care. He turned into
- 15:51Speaker 1: a comedian. This ship is funny that he's coming. My boy.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I'll be careful out there in the streets.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Um and now signed footballer male message my little ball
- 16:03Speaker 1: mail crew PA change y'all, Uh, it's kind of funny, y'all.
- 16:08Speaker 1: You ready? You always get us ready? Like, name something,
- 16:13Speaker 1: Name something that you wait to do around your potential
- 16:15Speaker 1: boot until you guys become official. Let me say it again,
- 16:19Speaker 1: Name something that you wait to do around your potential
- 16:22Speaker 1: boot until the two of you become official. So like
- 16:26Speaker 1: you may wait to pass gas, or you may wait
- 16:28Speaker 1: to take a poop, or you may wait. You might
- 16:30Speaker 1: wait to take that wig off in front of them.
- 16:33Speaker 1: You may wait to take that makeup. Come on, come on,
- 16:35Speaker 1: Solo Burns, give us give us, give us the give
- 16:38Speaker 1: us your top ten. You wait to do anything, damn
- 16:40Speaker 1: damn talk. That's a lot of you don't do when
- 16:42Speaker 1: your first meet the mother. Top tip. I don't know.
- 16:45Speaker 1: I've gotten really comfortable, so it's not too much. You
- 16:47Speaker 1: get comfortable early. I've just gotten comfortable just over the
- 16:50Speaker 1: year life. Yeah. Like so now it's like you go
- 16:52Speaker 1: into a relationship. It's like, sir, yes, I like to
- 16:55Speaker 1: I like to engage in smoking every now and then.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I might not do it in front of them. If
- 17:00Speaker 1: they don't smoke that, I'm yeah, okay, um what else?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Don't fart, poop and five of them? You don't do
- 17:09Speaker 1: that at all? Now what I mean not in the beginning? Long?
- 17:13Speaker 1: How long? How long is it if you've come in
- 17:15Speaker 1: the house, you first meeting while you're like, what the
- 17:17Speaker 1: funk is this? You know, like you can't meet somebody
- 17:20Speaker 1: like let's say you go over to the house for
- 17:21Speaker 1: the first time, Like, I'm happy to be in your
- 17:23Speaker 1: bathroom for ten minutes. You know, you gotta have a
- 17:26Speaker 1: little first of all, y'all, y'all, things are too close together. Okay,
- 17:29Speaker 1: time about I just want to Yeah, it's too close together.
- 17:33Speaker 1: But Listen, this is real talk. This is let's just
- 17:36Speaker 1: do a top ten. That's what you're talking to. Thank
- 17:39Speaker 1: you for getting back getting thank you for coming to
- 17:41Speaker 1: the party. But you go front that. No, I'm with that,
- 17:44Speaker 1: I'm with all that. All I'm saying is when you
- 17:46Speaker 1: first meet someone, you shouldn't jump into just everything at
- 17:51Speaker 1: one time. Like a lot of people like, I'm just
- 17:53Speaker 1: gonna do it because I want to do it. They're
- 17:55Speaker 1: gonna love They're gonna love me for me. Okay, you
- 17:57Speaker 1: might be just a nasty motherfucker if you're just not
- 17:59Speaker 1: trying to battle. That's my point is balance it out
- 18:03Speaker 1: nasty like some people like you gotta sis. You gotta
- 18:06Speaker 1: learn to contain that call first of all. If you can't,
- 18:10Speaker 1: you can do whatever you want to do. But I
- 18:11Speaker 1: don't think it's a program. When you first meet somebody,
- 18:13Speaker 1: just be rammy farting, you know what I'm talking about.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Just be that's no nigger. You stack up your insides
- 18:21Speaker 1: all right, and like you know what I'm saying, Or
- 18:24Speaker 1: you garlic, or you don't want to like be sexy
- 18:27Speaker 1: like for women like or dudes even like you know
- 18:29Speaker 1: what I'm saying, just don't care about your being. You
- 18:31Speaker 1: come out all in your eyes about what about chicken wings?
- 18:35Speaker 1: What about chicken Okay, hold on, you know chicken wings,
- 18:39Speaker 1: so the drumsticks. Certain women don't eat chicken wings around food.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about this. It's a little messy, So they
- 18:51Speaker 1: don't eat chicken wings around for the first there's like
- 18:54Speaker 1: almost no cute way to eat. You gotta you know,
- 18:56Speaker 1: you gotta dig that thing out. It's also it looked
- 18:59Speaker 1: to be my ain't of your potential partner. It might
- 19:03Speaker 1: be good for you to like to try to, you know,
- 19:05Speaker 1: kind of get over ways you're currently used to or
- 19:08Speaker 1: not do some of the things you don't even want
- 19:10Speaker 1: to do yourself. Like that's that's that's what relationships are
- 19:13Speaker 1: good for in the beginning too, because if you don't
- 19:15Speaker 1: clean your motherfucking bad room, you know, like I kind
- 19:18Speaker 1: of the little white little thing. If that's dirty, I
- 19:21Speaker 1: got a problem with that. I got any if anything
- 19:24Speaker 1: is dirty. If anything is dirty, I hate when other
- 19:26Speaker 1: people crest like ship. I hate when I leave the
- 19:29Speaker 1: smell like you crib. What's the call for the poor smell?
- 19:33Speaker 1: She said, I just cleaned up. Baby. You can't tell
- 19:35Speaker 1: if I'm in your motherfuck crib in a place that's active,
- 19:38Speaker 1: got some heavy dust. But if you if you put
- 19:41Speaker 1: the drumstick in your mouth and clean it off, you
- 19:45Speaker 1: put the whole drumstick of the chicken turn off. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 1: not saying it's turn off. I'm just gonna be like, yeah,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I'm not mad at there's a YouTube video on how
- 19:59Speaker 1: to eat chicken wing properly. Oh yeah, yeah, with the
- 20:02Speaker 1: with the wing break it, pull it out and then
- 20:05Speaker 1: now you just got straight Yeah, put it on screen,
- 20:09Speaker 1: on the screen right there. That is the proper way
- 20:11Speaker 1: to eat the wing. A you know what, I don't
- 20:14Speaker 1: makeup in front of them for a while, Like, I
- 20:16Speaker 1: don't feel like men should like see the process of
- 20:19Speaker 1: putting on your makeup, especially I don't think women should
- 20:21Speaker 1: use too much makeup period. I don't care about that. No,
- 20:25Speaker 1: too much makeup. Know, too much makeup is annoying as
- 20:28Speaker 1: fun because it gets on everything regardless of what you're
- 20:31Speaker 1: trying to do. It's on your shirts too much. That
- 20:34Speaker 1: that might just be a you don't know how to
- 20:35Speaker 1: set your makeup, so that doesn't necessarily mean it's too much,
- 20:38Speaker 1: but first of as a whole another show because you
- 20:40Speaker 1: don't need as much makeup as y'all think y'all need.
- 20:42Speaker 1: So I just I wouldn't put my makeup on somebody
- 20:46Speaker 1: I just started dating. I wouldn't do that. I'm just
- 20:48Speaker 1: saying make up a lot, but I just don't cause
- 20:50Speaker 1: you'll be beautiful. We have beautiful setting in sometimes when
- 20:53Speaker 1: you want to be wrong with their skin because you've
- 20:55Speaker 1: got so much on your face and then you gotta ship.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Did you use to take the makeup off the Kim Cools?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Do you know that the Revlon packs I used to
- 21:04Speaker 1: clean my tennis shoes. And when I'm talking about that's scary,
- 21:07Speaker 1: No listen to me. It will get on souls for
- 21:10Speaker 1: all my young buzzer out there. To sneaking head, you
- 21:12Speaker 1: can use the Revlon that come in the blue packet,
- 21:15Speaker 1: the joints that y'all used to clean all the makeupball
- 21:17Speaker 1: they clean the dirt, dirt, dirt off of your shoe. There. Scary,
- 21:22Speaker 1: But then y'all wonder why your face be breaking out
- 21:25Speaker 1: or y'all be having issues. You'll be playing and put
- 21:27Speaker 1: all that ship on your face. Even um like Coca Cola.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Don't people use that for like erosion on cars? Right?
- 21:34Speaker 1: That's when I stopped drinking a dark sola because well,
- 21:37Speaker 1: they've had the studies where they put coca cola and
- 21:39Speaker 1: canes and how the acid eats, whether that's that's in
- 21:41Speaker 1: your stomach, that's in your stomach. Okay, So circling back
- 21:45Speaker 1: to yeah, like we just went way off ladies and
- 21:54Speaker 1: gentlemen the forever may have it landed a Grammy Award,
- 21:57Speaker 1: winning in a host of other awards. I'm sure writer
- 22:00Speaker 1: produced a Rappers Songwriters Hall of Fame resident, one of
- 22:04Speaker 1: the first hip hop vegans, father of a queen, and
- 22:06Speaker 1: the zodiac sign is a liberal. Give it up for
- 22:09Speaker 1: Jamaine Duprix Atlanta, where the players played and we ride
- 22:15Speaker 1: on the thanks like every day big beat hit stream
- 22:20Speaker 1: and parties don't stop till how you doing. I'm good
- 22:24Speaker 1: that we're good man twenty five years and so so Deaf. Yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 1: I want to say this. We're just a part of that.
- 22:28Speaker 1: I was actually, I feel like the first actual concert
- 22:31Speaker 1: was at the BT Awards. We celebrated Jermaine dupri and
- 22:35Speaker 1: So So Deaf at the BT Awards. It was one
- 22:37Speaker 1: of the best events of the weekend. And I had
- 22:40Speaker 1: actually after I asked you and uh, I asked you
- 22:45Speaker 1: at the end of it our thing, I was like,
- 22:46Speaker 1: so when this is going on to it? Like yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 1: we were talking to Live Nation, right or whatever whoever
- 22:49Speaker 1: you're going when I was like, damn, it would be
- 22:51Speaker 1: an amazing concert. You showing I've had it underway. Yeah,
- 22:53Speaker 1: definitely now we I mean, well, at night we knew
- 22:56Speaker 1: it was going on. I mean we knew it was
- 22:57Speaker 1: going on to it. We just was like, wait until
- 22:59Speaker 1: now to make sure he was right. Well, if the
- 23:01Speaker 1: twins don't show up, you know, I'm ready to sing
- 23:03Speaker 1: all the parts. You know, was up that joint going ham? Yeah, yeah,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I was. I was. I was doing all the parts now.
- 23:13Speaker 1: But everybody, you know, everybody seems like they're ready. Yeah. Nice,
- 23:16Speaker 1: beautiful man. And I want to say this, man, you
- 23:18Speaker 1: have had hit after hit after hit, and the fact
- 23:25Speaker 1: that someone can be in business for twenty five years,
- 23:28Speaker 1: let alone make hits. Because you're still making hits. I
- 23:30Speaker 1: heard a new record Jock got on us. You're so crazy.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Brian was telling me, Bleeve, what's it going if? I
- 23:37Speaker 1: heard that? So anyway? Um, but but you still how
- 23:40Speaker 1: does it feel to be in business twenty five years later? Um?
- 23:47Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean it feels like I guess
- 23:49Speaker 1: it feels good. You a lot of this. It just
- 23:51Speaker 1: went past though, you know, I it went by so
- 23:53Speaker 1: fast as you was just trying to think about, you know,
- 23:56Speaker 1: continuing on, what you think about continuing. When you just go,
- 24:00Speaker 1: you just go. You don't even put no. You know,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you don't know. I would have been at thirty four
- 24:05Speaker 1: even thought yeah, yeah, before I celebrate it. So you
- 24:08Speaker 1: have to, you know, that's the only thing about it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You have to do something. You got to celebrate to
- 24:12Speaker 1: make sure that you know, God knows that you're paying attention.
- 24:15Speaker 1: On said, that's right. I remember seeing you, man. I
- 24:18Speaker 1: remember the first time I ever saw you was in
- 24:20Speaker 1: the video with the Houdini Motherfucker's y'all was on tour.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You was hitting all that Monther but the gang said
- 24:27Speaker 1: about that was your eyes and how bright your smile was,
- 24:30Speaker 1: like you were so happy to be in that mix.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Is that what the passion for the for the genre
- 24:36Speaker 1: comes from? I mean yeah, I think so. Like I
- 24:38Speaker 1: was talking about this last night to Brian, I think
- 24:40Speaker 1: like the music industry now, most of the guys in
- 24:43Speaker 1: the industry now they they're here for money. Um wow,
- 24:46Speaker 1: I wasn't here for the money. Um, I know the
- 24:49Speaker 1: money gonna come, you know what I mean, if you
- 24:51Speaker 1: get hot, the money gonna come. I never, I don't.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I don't go make records to make money. I make
- 24:56Speaker 1: records to achieve something, you know, be competitive with people
- 25:01Speaker 1: that that I feel like are the kings of this game. Um.
- 25:04Speaker 1: And that what you're talking about is the same thing.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I'm twelve years old in that video, crazy old you
- 25:10Speaker 1: get to be on towards um Houdin. I was sinking
- 25:15Speaker 1: a little Duvall record in that video. That's what I
- 25:17Speaker 1: was saying. Ain't got the times. So I'm I'm a
- 25:26Speaker 1: second generation a t L And I say that because
- 25:29Speaker 1: I moved here to go to school like many of
- 25:31Speaker 1: us do. And now all these years later, I've been
- 25:34Speaker 1: here more than half my life, and you know, I've
- 25:39Speaker 1: I've noticed the change in the city. Right when I
- 25:41Speaker 1: first moved here, it was like the school set. You know,
- 25:43Speaker 1: you had the au ce au see dealt with each
- 25:46Speaker 1: other and y'all would come in. But y'all had y'all
- 25:48Speaker 1: I'm talking about, you know, in Atlanta, y'all had the
- 25:51Speaker 1: city doing y'all thing, and a lot of people don't
- 25:53Speaker 1: realize that. They don't realize like how you come here
- 25:56Speaker 1: to go to school and it's a school thing early
- 25:58Speaker 1: in them days, but you have to go outside of
- 26:00Speaker 1: the warehouse and all stuff were doing to really experience Atlanta,
- 26:04Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. And y'all had a vibe
- 26:06Speaker 1: back then, from roller skating to like just all the
- 26:10Speaker 1: So how was Atlanta different than than now? Community wise? Um? Well,
- 26:15Speaker 1: I mean I think the community is still the same.
- 26:17Speaker 1: That's why the music still is it is. But um,
- 26:21Speaker 1: as far as like cultural, I think people have lost
- 26:26Speaker 1: sight of the culture and believe that Atlanta coaches like trapping,
- 26:31Speaker 1: you know what I mean. That's not Atlanta culture, you
- 26:35Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like everybody in Atlanta is not
- 26:37Speaker 1: no drug dealer facts, you know what I mean. So
- 26:40Speaker 1: I think and people outside of Atlanta that's what they believe.
- 26:43Speaker 1: But Atlanta culture, like what you said, it's the a
- 26:46Speaker 1: U Center. Um, it's skating, it's dancing, you know, dancing
- 26:51Speaker 1: was like the thing all of y'all like, that's what's
- 26:55Speaker 1: so crazy. And that's what I'm saying. When I found
- 26:57Speaker 1: out what the Yeek ship was in the move, I
- 27:00Speaker 1: was like, what the fun. I can't do it now.
- 27:03Speaker 1: My hip, My hip won't allow me to get them
- 27:05Speaker 1: up put it on the screen. That yeah, But I mean,
- 27:10Speaker 1: you know, like all of that, that's that's that that's
- 27:12Speaker 1: the culture of Atlanta, you know what I mean. That's
- 27:14Speaker 1: that's what people came here for and stayed and saw.
- 27:18Speaker 1: People came here for Freak Nick. They didn't see drug dealers.
- 27:21Speaker 1: I mean, if they've seen them, but they was in
- 27:23Speaker 1: the streets and hanging out and they was they was
- 27:25Speaker 1: in traffic on Peace Tree, you know what I mean.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Motorcycles and the records. But it was like the music
- 27:31Speaker 1: that you heard, it was like Keylo, you know what
- 27:37Speaker 1: I mean. You heard her and the whole soundtrack. So
- 27:40Speaker 1: so that based all stars, you know what I mean.
- 27:43Speaker 1: It was like the my Boot record. Like people don't that,
- 27:45Speaker 1: they don't really understand how hot that record was. Then
- 27:49Speaker 1: now that song came out, then it was huge. It
- 27:53Speaker 1: was crazy, and that was that's that's the true culture,
- 27:56Speaker 1: you know, like when you go to Compton. Of course
- 28:00Speaker 1: Hendrick got it now, but you can't never forget in
- 28:03Speaker 1: w A and and Dr Dre and and so many
- 28:07Speaker 1: other comforts. Most wanted, so many things that made us
- 28:11Speaker 1: know that little city that wasn't even from there, right,
- 28:15Speaker 1: That's that's the same thing with Atlanta. I just I
- 28:17Speaker 1: just hope that you know, at some point it don't
- 28:19Speaker 1: ever get washed the way that we do have a
- 28:21Speaker 1: true culture, because to me, drugs selling is not a culture.
- 28:25Speaker 1: And what I mean that's it's it's it's a thing
- 28:27Speaker 1: that we got to trap that we think, but it's not.
- 28:29Speaker 1: That's not cultural. It's not girls that can say, yeah,
- 28:34Speaker 1: I'm trapping. I mean, like that's a guy thing. But
- 28:37Speaker 1: it's not, like I said, I've been places where I
- 28:39Speaker 1: hear people say that trapping thing. I'll be really selling
- 28:42Speaker 1: drugs in Atlanta, like really like Miami, Like that's how
- 28:46Speaker 1: we mean we would we was on drugs and on TV.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I mean you know what big every no, no, don't
- 28:55Speaker 1: get wrong. Now, we did have. We had an error.
- 28:59Speaker 1: That can't that no other cities. I mean, and that's
- 29:04Speaker 1: by the way, that's that's part of our culture too.
- 29:08Speaker 1: But I like what you said, and I like why
- 29:10Speaker 1: you why you said it. You're putting in perspective because
- 29:13Speaker 1: you can't look at Atlanta one sided. Yeah, and no
- 29:15Speaker 1: way fashion shape or form now because of the contribution
- 29:18Speaker 1: we're doing with music, the contribution we're doing, the film,
- 29:21Speaker 1: the contribution we're doing. I mean, it's more fortunate fire
- 29:24Speaker 1: Hunter companies here than ever before. We got the busiest
- 29:26Speaker 1: airport in the world. So I'm glad you put that
- 29:28Speaker 1: in perspective. Speaking of that, I mean, I think people,
- 29:31Speaker 1: if you're not from here, you should watch The Man
- 29:33Speaker 1: of Jackson. Just hold on the plane, you know, watch
- 29:36Speaker 1: this Man of Jackson film on Netflix or iTunes, whatever
- 29:40Speaker 1: you want. So you really know why Atlanta is why Atlanta,
- 29:43Speaker 1: you know. I mean it's people that walk through our
- 29:45Speaker 1: airport wondering why all the employees that's in the airport
- 29:48Speaker 1: of black Man is the reason. Man of Jackson, Jackson,
- 29:52Speaker 1: Hartsfield Harfield Jackson. So. Um, you know, I have a
- 29:57Speaker 1: real affinity to Jagged Edge. Um, I've always had and
- 30:06Speaker 1: I've been jumping on stage. You're working on something, I know.
- 30:13Speaker 1: But when is what we need R and B to
- 30:16Speaker 1: come back. And we've seen cycles, we've seen Neo Soul
- 30:20Speaker 1: reintroduced his arm whatever we need it. What's going on?
- 30:24Speaker 1: I mean I've been talking to them about it. You know,
- 30:26Speaker 1: R and B lost this character. R and B live
- 30:30Speaker 1: scientific say it again, what R and B lost his character?
- 30:37Speaker 1: You know, like R and B artists start getting ashamed
- 30:41Speaker 1: because rappers had so much more character. Now you start
- 30:44Speaker 1: seeing R and B artists fall back and the majority
- 30:47Speaker 1: R and B artist you know what you're here on
- 30:49Speaker 1: radio now to me is neo soul. That's what I
- 30:52Speaker 1: would call it. You know, um, nothing wrong with that.
- 30:55Speaker 1: But then it's always been this other R and B,
- 30:57Speaker 1: this harder R and B, this this this Joe to
- 31:01Speaker 1: see this just a different type of R and B.
- 31:03Speaker 1: But that R and B they lost their character, They
- 31:06Speaker 1: lost their um, their confidence to beat, to stand up
- 31:10Speaker 1: beside a rapper. You know, you got rappers out here
- 31:12Speaker 1: like Young Thug that they got their own. They got
- 31:15Speaker 1: a style, like a complete style that usually would be
- 31:18Speaker 1: more of a singer style, but it's a rapper style.
- 31:22Speaker 1: So now singers have to come and start. We need
- 31:25Speaker 1: a new Michael Jackson. We need prints, we need we
- 31:27Speaker 1: need all that niggers out here riding around with their
- 31:30Speaker 1: ass out and trying to beat, just trying to beat somebody.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Come on, Paul's on the ass out, but a certain
- 31:36Speaker 1: age and all your accomplishments. We're not holding you people
- 31:40Speaker 1: to understand. You just we just don't have the character,
- 31:43Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like Rick James. Man, we
- 31:45Speaker 1: need to need Rick James because Rick James will stand
- 31:48Speaker 1: up against all these rappers know what's going on. And
- 31:52Speaker 1: that's what Bobby Brown was. Bobby Brown was he got
- 31:55Speaker 1: a bad boy image because he was fighting rappers and
- 31:58Speaker 1: he god not sow anyone thing about And I'm saying
- 32:01Speaker 1: that's not what you gotta do. But the character of
- 32:04Speaker 1: the R and B artist has to come back so
- 32:05Speaker 1: that the R and B music can live the way
- 32:07Speaker 1: it's supposed to live. I'm glad the legend said it.
- 32:09Speaker 1: And it's important because you know, I like Jock Quis,
- 32:13Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I like what John Quis
- 32:14Speaker 1: is doing. But we need more of that. We need
- 32:17Speaker 1: more of that. And I know you've got something brewing.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Um favorite artists? You don't work with so many, man,
- 32:22Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a favorite. And I mean we're talking
- 32:25Speaker 1: to us ship ran carry all the artists, the big
- 32:28Speaker 1: artists you work with. What what are some of your
- 32:31Speaker 1: favorites who I just did an ter view on the
- 32:33Speaker 1: way over here. Um with the A J. C. And
- 32:36Speaker 1: Um they're saying that reath the Franklin is greatly ill.
- 32:39Speaker 1: So I have to I have to say read the
- 32:40Speaker 1: Franklin because not because she's gravely ill, because she taught
- 32:43Speaker 1: me something that that I already knew, but I didn't
- 32:46Speaker 1: pay attention to it the way that I should have.
- 32:48Speaker 1: When I went to the studio R Franklin, Um, I
- 32:51Speaker 1: was just in awe watching her this queens soul. She
- 32:54Speaker 1: was singing, and I wasn't really saying nothing. I was like,
- 32:56Speaker 1: that's dope, let's go to the next take. And she
- 32:58Speaker 1: got kind of frustrat like are you gonna sell me
- 33:01Speaker 1: what to do? When you're gonna tell me what to do?
- 33:04Speaker 1: Like if you just came out here to just say
- 33:06Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm about to go home. These are her
- 33:08Speaker 1: exact words. And at that point I realized my position
- 33:12Speaker 1: in the studio with anybody, I don't care who you are.
- 33:14Speaker 1: If Aretha Frankmin tell me I'm supposed to be doing
- 33:17Speaker 1: my produce me then Joe smokeing him and everybody they're
- 33:21Speaker 1: getting there, getting the ship in the studio me and
- 33:23Speaker 1: she was the one that corrected me. So I gotta
- 33:26Speaker 1: say for her doing that, she got me on a
- 33:28Speaker 1: page that got me to get everybody else right right,
- 33:31Speaker 1: and they got here. Let's listen to God. We are
- 33:35Speaker 1: praying for the queen. All prayers go and love go
- 33:39Speaker 1: to her family. But I will say this confession changed
- 33:42Speaker 1: my perspective on a lot of ship. You know, I
- 33:46Speaker 1: just none, but I just he was in y'alls in
- 33:48Speaker 1: your bag, man, that that that motherfucker and you didn't
- 33:51Speaker 1: had a lot of hits. And I've been supporting you
- 33:53Speaker 1: since it again, but like that was something unbelievable, man,
- 33:57Speaker 1: And it felt like a generational album, like what's going on.
- 34:03Speaker 1: I'm not saying as politically as as you know, what
- 34:06Speaker 1: I'm saying important at the times when what's going on
- 34:08Speaker 1: or let us in the key of life and all
- 34:10Speaker 1: that came up. But I'm saying, but that for that era,
- 34:12Speaker 1: because you know, we're breaking the stereotypes of our parents
- 34:15Speaker 1: and our you know, our our fathers and mothers generations,
- 34:18Speaker 1: you know, just being more responsible being and you know
- 34:21Speaker 1: your dad was cleaning your life, but mine wasn't in mine.
- 34:23Speaker 1: But you know, just breaking the stereotypes. But I think
- 34:25Speaker 1: that record, it took that whole album took us to
- 34:28Speaker 1: a whole another level of consciousness and in relationships and
- 34:32Speaker 1: love and ship gonna happen, but you gotta get back
- 34:35Speaker 1: or whatever the situation y'all were talking about. It was
- 34:38Speaker 1: just so, how did that album feel for you? Feel
- 34:40Speaker 1: to you? It's interesting to hear you talk like that,
- 34:43Speaker 1: because I mean, it wasn't that was It wasn't even
- 34:45Speaker 1: that much thought in to it. It was just like,
- 34:47Speaker 1: um one one confession started by a joke because the
- 34:54Speaker 1: song all Bad, that was the first name. This song
- 34:57Speaker 1: was called all Bad. And then the song I wrote, um,
- 35:00Speaker 1: everything that I've been doing is all bad. I got
- 35:02Speaker 1: a chick on the side with the crib in the rod.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I've been telling so many lies. Ain't nothing good. It's
- 35:06Speaker 1: all bad. I must confess I've been doing you so wrong.
- 35:11Speaker 1: And that's how it started. It wasn't even called confessions.
- 35:15Speaker 1: It was just, you know, that's what it was, was
- 35:16Speaker 1: all bad and then me telling on myself for telling
- 35:20Speaker 1: on us or telling on anybody. It just kept threatening
- 35:24Speaker 1: to how much people was coming in the studio, like, damn,
- 35:27Speaker 1: you're really gonna say that, well, then you might as
- 35:29Speaker 1: well go all the way then, And then when they
- 35:31Speaker 1: start getting to if you're gonna tell, then you might
- 35:33Speaker 1: as well tell everything. I had just went through a
- 35:35Speaker 1: situation in my life where I had a girlfriend and
- 35:38Speaker 1: I got another girl pregnant, and I didn't know how
- 35:41Speaker 1: to deal with. You answered the question I was about
- 35:43Speaker 1: to ask you, because it was or flowing around saying, hey,
- 35:47Speaker 1: that's not that, that's not even that situation, because this
- 35:49Speaker 1: was not even on the radio. This was college park ship.
- 35:52Speaker 1: This is like nothing, but this was. Yeah. I mean,
- 35:58Speaker 1: you know, I was I was in that head. It
- 36:04Speaker 1: was a situation where I was in um and I
- 36:07Speaker 1: didn't know how to deal with. You know what I'm saying.
- 36:09Speaker 1: I called the girl, left a message on her answer machine,
- 36:12Speaker 1: called the total You called the pregnant girl. No, you
- 36:16Speaker 1: don't call the pregnant person. You call the other person person.
- 36:19Speaker 1: The pregnant person already know at the time, you know,
- 36:23Speaker 1: I don't believe it's gonna it's gonna work out. I
- 36:25Speaker 1: got a situation. I left this on, asked me I
- 36:27Speaker 1: didn't have a conversation on and you know, she called
- 36:30Speaker 1: me back like that's not how you do it. It
- 36:32Speaker 1: was just some real like yeah, but that's what I'm saying.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It felt like it almost gave my fucker's the will
- 36:37Speaker 1: to do it if they was in the situation like that.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm saying because to be honest, to be upfront, so
- 36:43Speaker 1: she ain't trying to fight. Hey, she ain't trying to
- 36:44Speaker 1: fight your nothing being up Ultimately, girls, girls, she didn't
- 36:50Speaker 1: have it like that would be what I found out this.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Girls want to know why, So I tried to I
- 36:55Speaker 1: was I was trying to get out of having that conversation,
- 36:58Speaker 1: and she called me like, we're gonna talk about this
- 37:01Speaker 1: and we're gonna You're gonna tell me why and this
- 37:03Speaker 1: stand the third and it blew my mind. But at
- 37:05Speaker 1: the same time we started talking about this in the studio,
- 37:08Speaker 1: it was like, Okay, you really want me to go there?
- 37:11Speaker 1: I can go there. I can take you all the
- 37:13Speaker 1: way there. Before when I wrote this song, I shouldn't
- 37:16Speaker 1: have no kids, so I shouldn't know nothing about I
- 37:18Speaker 1: was talking about. This was me. So I'm sitting there
- 37:22Speaker 1: saying this and I'm like when we first when we
- 37:24Speaker 1: first the first part of Confessions and we got to
- 37:28Speaker 1: the remix, she was like, well, we gotta keep going,
- 37:31Speaker 1: and I was like, what's the next part. He was like,
- 37:32Speaker 1: she got a baby on the way, And I was
- 37:34Speaker 1: like well, so like lys was just something there. I
- 37:41Speaker 1: seen every bit of this immediately, so and then like, man,
- 37:45Speaker 1: this is sounded like my life. And then I started
- 37:46Speaker 1: realizing that it was like a spirit that was his
- 37:49Speaker 1: every day in the studio. But every man in the
- 37:52Speaker 1: world who heard it was like, funk, alright, bet I
- 37:54Speaker 1: got a man up. And that's even the other records
- 37:58Speaker 1: that the album in general was a whole motherfuckering offering.
- 38:03Speaker 1: It is, hands down, but I don't think it's that credit.
- 38:06Speaker 1: But I think it is, yeah, not with that. But
- 38:07Speaker 1: like I said, they didn't start off like that. It
- 38:09Speaker 1: was just started off from me just like looking at
- 38:12Speaker 1: just looking at somebody saying this is all bad. I mean,
- 38:15Speaker 1: that's how all us your songs started. When I saw Usher,
- 38:18Speaker 1: he had a girlfriend and he was in the studio
- 38:20Speaker 1: here in Atlanta, and she kept calling the studio while
- 38:22Speaker 1: he was working. He'd get on the phone here and
- 38:24Speaker 1: run out out of the dot and I was like, yo,
- 38:26Speaker 1: you got it bad, and he was like, what do
- 38:29Speaker 1: you mean. He was like I gotta go, and he left.
- 38:31Speaker 1: When he left, I just started writing, I'm like, I
- 38:34Speaker 1: got this song. I called him back like thirty minutes.
- 38:37Speaker 1: I'm like I got it, hang up, That's what I'm saying.
- 38:43Speaker 1: But it was so important to the culture. And that's
- 38:45Speaker 1: why I like, if anybody can spearhead that comeback of
- 38:49Speaker 1: R and B issue, like I'm dying here. I mean,
- 38:53Speaker 1: at the same time, I wasn't you know a lot
- 38:54Speaker 1: of things that I spearhead that I don't be like
- 38:57Speaker 1: I'd be trying to avoid that and shot at me.
- 39:02Speaker 1: But at the same sometimes I've avoided that dark. But
- 39:11Speaker 1: you know, as I got older, I realized that, you know,
- 39:14Speaker 1: ain't nobody really gonna do it, so I might as
- 39:16Speaker 1: well just step into that space. So that's how even
- 39:18Speaker 1: with the rap game, like as many people said, I,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you know, always was producing kids. That's not a true statement,
- 39:25Speaker 1: but you don't want to say, and that's what they
- 39:27Speaker 1: want to believe that I just I said, you know what,
- 39:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna step into that light. Ain't nobody else gonna
- 39:31Speaker 1: do it? I do did that better than anybody ever. Mean,
- 39:35Speaker 1: that was the biggest phenomenon that was pre social media.
- 39:38Speaker 1: That was on tour Michael Jack. That one footage I
- 39:40Speaker 1: see with DJ Nabs and the kids out there and
- 39:43Speaker 1: sucking Uglo Slavia or whatever. I didn't realize he produced.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Like I mean, I was, you know, going through and
- 39:49Speaker 1: I was like, damn you did, Still you did. Marian
- 39:52Speaker 1: carried back from charm me from my favorite. I listened
- 39:56Speaker 1: to Mimi's Emancipation like NonStop all day, day and night,
- 40:00Speaker 1: and I just it took me back to this. Okay,
- 40:03Speaker 1: what is what is old Atlanta versus New Atlanta? Like
- 40:06Speaker 1: what do you what? What's the difference between Atlanta's maybe
- 40:09Speaker 1: a sound to what it is now? Well, I want
- 40:10Speaker 1: to say this too. That's another that's another thing that
- 40:12Speaker 1: I don't like. And I'm from Atlanta, so I don't.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't want nobody even be you can say that.
- 40:18Speaker 1: You want to say, like, ain't no real Atlanta niggas
- 40:22Speaker 1: and ain't no fake Atlanta niques? You know what I mean?
- 40:24Speaker 1: Like people I'll be seeing people say this that real Atlanta?
- 40:27Speaker 1: What the fund do they? Because Atlanta is so different,
- 40:30Speaker 1: like Zone six, I'm from South, I'm from the South Side.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Me and Gucci Man is completely different. So everybody and
- 40:39Speaker 1: Atlanta we argue every day. They from the East, I'm
- 40:41Speaker 1: from the South. We got different minds west, right, because
- 40:49Speaker 1: we think different and we talk different, and we got
- 40:52Speaker 1: different slang. That don't make this person to fake a TL.
- 40:56Speaker 1: It's a real a T. I live on Old National.
- 41:00Speaker 1: You want to see where real right right? Like I
- 41:04Speaker 1: don't know where everybody else living. My mom still lives
- 41:06Speaker 1: on Old National. So if y'all want to see what
- 41:08Speaker 1: real nat And I think that conversation was started on
- 41:14Speaker 1: some funk man's reflection, meaning like the old head has
- 41:17Speaker 1: something to say about the young nigger. I'm talking about
- 41:19Speaker 1: the motherfucker old head that just got something to say
- 41:22Speaker 1: without thinking about the culture, you know what. But I
- 41:24Speaker 1: do think that I think that a lot of the
- 41:25Speaker 1: old heads were looking at you know, the millennials coming up,
- 41:28Speaker 1: and because we're coming up differently, maybe they don't really
- 41:31Speaker 1: respect it the same like they're looking at it like, oh, y'all, y'all,
- 41:33Speaker 1: niggle is just doing this on on social media. Everybody's
- 41:36Speaker 1: not gonna pop off on social media. You still have
- 41:38Speaker 1: to have something about you. It's like somebody hating on
- 41:40Speaker 1: the motherfucking meg. Did y'all see St. Louis last night?
- 41:42Speaker 1: List Christ till it comes to wait till they mean?
- 41:46Speaker 1: But you know, like once again that even like the meges,
- 41:49Speaker 1: like like I said, I'm from the south. We never
- 41:51Speaker 1: heard about the north for years. That's the beauty of
- 41:55Speaker 1: the c Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's the beauty
- 41:56Speaker 1: of the growth of the city. Um. But like I said,
- 41:59Speaker 1: I would never say they fake a TL. They just
- 42:02Speaker 1: ain't from my side, right, that's where they from, you know,
- 42:04Speaker 1: they just from And you know it's two north sides.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Now they got the North, which is eighty five north,
- 42:08Speaker 1: that's n A w F and he got the North
- 42:10Speaker 1: which stuff. I'm just letting y'all know. But I do
- 42:16Speaker 1: got a question. J D, it's two. It was two
- 42:19Speaker 1: j d s. To me, it was the j D
- 42:20Speaker 1: with the braids. Then it was j D now with
- 42:23Speaker 1: no braids. The j D with the braids ushered the
- 42:28Speaker 1: whole nine. The j D with no braids, we got
- 42:30Speaker 1: the rap game. We want TV like we're more uh
- 42:35Speaker 1: kind of like on some O G O G O G.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Like the j D with the braids, you was he
- 42:38Speaker 1: was in between it. He was in it, he was
- 42:40Speaker 1: in the field, he was alt producer. But the j D, now,
- 42:44Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying now, it's there a particular
- 42:46Speaker 1: reason why you got rid of the braids. Uh. Well,
- 42:54Speaker 1: let me just let you don't coind of like an
- 42:55Speaker 1: icebreaker question, but now people don't never ask you that.
- 42:58Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure what I'm saying. Let me back though,
- 43:00Speaker 1: because because because j D the braids, um j D
- 43:05Speaker 1: without the braids, maybe we belong together, which is we
- 43:09Speaker 1: even logether in history of her career. Come on, talk
- 43:13Speaker 1: to that ship, j D. I don't know I talked
- 43:15Speaker 1: to him. But j D with the braids then confessions.
- 43:18Speaker 1: All I'm saying is what is the difference? He didn't
- 43:20Speaker 1: do that j D with you had no braids. That's
- 43:24Speaker 1: what I'm saying them two albums was made with braids. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:28Speaker 1: one of the greatest arms albums that was out without
- 43:33Speaker 1: the braids. Now, j D, you know what it's crazy
- 43:37Speaker 1: about this. I'm glad you bring this up because I'm
- 43:39Speaker 1: gonna get y'all, get y'all a little secret away. Come
- 43:41Speaker 1: on with the tour. J D versus j D is
- 43:44Speaker 1: happening on this tool. See it's too JD. You can
- 43:49Speaker 1: pick whatever side you want to be on. But that's
- 43:50Speaker 1: how hard I'm going is it? J D with the
- 43:52Speaker 1: braids versus j D without We're gonna that's how hard
- 43:55Speaker 1: we're gonna go in this arena. That's beautiful. Man. How
- 43:57Speaker 1: many days is it? Uh? It's fifteen right now and
- 44:00Speaker 1: the first day is d C. I told before team see,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I got I got one more question. What's up? What's
- 44:08Speaker 1: up with U boy? Man? What's going on with him?
- 44:11Speaker 1: I mean, you're not lashing out on social media lately.
- 44:14Speaker 1: I'll be hands around him. What's up with our boy? Okay? Um,
- 44:19Speaker 1: you know it's a funny question. So it's a very
- 44:22Speaker 1: interesting question for me because the way I look at
- 44:26Speaker 1: people don't really understand has always been my barometer if
- 44:31Speaker 1: that's the right word whatever for we know that's a
- 44:35Speaker 1: word you just want to know if it was right right, Okay,
- 44:40Speaker 1: So he's always been in this for me as far
- 44:43Speaker 1: as my gauge for that age group. Right. And when
- 44:48Speaker 1: I look on the internet, and this is what people
- 44:50Speaker 1: sunk up without is that people don't understands age is
- 44:55Speaker 1: the same age. It's all the other niggas that's on
- 44:57Speaker 1: the internet doing the same dumb ship. People just keep
- 45:00Speaker 1: looking at him like he's older because he started so
- 45:03Speaker 1: much younger, but he's exact same age. We're looking at
- 45:06Speaker 1: him like he's thirty eight. But he really thirty? How
- 45:13Speaker 1: just he just turned thirty? Okay, so that's what I'm say,
- 45:17Speaker 1: still a millennial. I mean, the celebrity status is why
- 45:20Speaker 1: people hold him to a higher statue man than the
- 45:22Speaker 1: average person, which is unfair. Yeah, But but even with that,
- 45:26Speaker 1: I think I think people just lose in translation about
- 45:29Speaker 1: his age. Let me tell you something about what I
- 45:32Speaker 1: told me. He was on tour and was at the
- 45:35Speaker 1: height of his career. We went to the mall one
- 45:37Speaker 1: day and we was in Phips and I was in
- 45:40Speaker 1: Fasachi buying up a whole bunch of ships, and I
- 45:45Speaker 1: was super young, and he didn't really he wasn't really
- 45:48Speaker 1: on spending a whole bunch of money. He had the money,
- 45:50Speaker 1: but he won on it. And by I said to me,
- 45:53Speaker 1: he was like, man, why do you keep buying all
- 45:55Speaker 1: this jury and you keep spending all this money on
- 45:58Speaker 1: your jury? And I'm like, what you're talking about? He
- 45:59Speaker 1: was like, you could just go right upstairs to the mall,
- 46:01Speaker 1: upstairs and the mall and just get that same ship.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Nobody ever know you, j D. And listen that thinking,
- 46:09Speaker 1: that that way of thinking is the way these young
- 46:12Speaker 1: niggas think right now, Like you cat, you know, but
- 46:15Speaker 1: we don't. We don't changeing it to a place where
- 46:17Speaker 1: we're catching people getting caught doing that. But I'm just
- 46:20Speaker 1: telling you about the mindset of it. When says it
- 46:22Speaker 1: to me, I see ten million other people do the
- 46:25Speaker 1: exact same thing I think for and this is my thing.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I think that he says things he knows he should do,
- 46:32Speaker 1: like he said the other morning, like you know, I
- 46:34Speaker 1: should go to North Carolina. Just yeah, he probably should.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Because what social media does it takes away from the
- 46:41Speaker 1: specialness of the human being at times, because you you know,
- 46:45Speaker 1: you're vulnerable and if you say something out then you
- 46:47Speaker 1: thought out of you can't just pull it back. And
- 46:49Speaker 1: my thing when him is and we always say he's
- 46:51Speaker 1: been successful for so long, started at a you know,
- 46:54Speaker 1: super young age, and really has been mature the whole time,
- 46:59Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, But now social media until
- 47:01Speaker 1: social media, right, so perception of him was that he
- 47:04Speaker 1: was very mature until social media. Yeah, well nobody, but
- 47:07Speaker 1: I think too. And and to what Jermaine was saying,
- 47:10Speaker 1: and I would have to agree, everybody does it. So
- 47:14Speaker 1: it's not it's not him, you know what I'm saying,
- 47:16Speaker 1: Like mature I just say more so he just loses controls. Yeah,
- 47:19Speaker 1: but but but you gotta think, Okay, what is control though,
- 47:21Speaker 1: Like if you had the attention that he has, then
- 47:23Speaker 1: what this is my whole thing? I'm not this I
- 47:26Speaker 1: want And you even said it on the show the
- 47:28Speaker 1: last time. He don't have O g s around him
- 47:31Speaker 1: like he does. That's why you ain't seeing him go
- 47:33Speaker 1: to jail. It could go, it could go further than
- 47:36Speaker 1: what he's actually doing. It could be bad. But but
- 47:39Speaker 1: he got me. I'm not you know, I'm not gonna
- 47:41Speaker 1: let him go. But so far, and then he got Snooping.
- 47:43Speaker 1: We got a lot of people when it's when it
- 47:46Speaker 1: started looking like it's crazy, he got he get a
- 47:49Speaker 1: lot of phone calls from a lot of people that
- 47:51Speaker 1: will beat the ship out of him. You know what
- 47:52Speaker 1: I mean, because because we put a lot into making
- 47:55Speaker 1: that person that y'all see that I was not. You know,
- 47:58Speaker 1: this is not a person that just aimed at us
- 48:00Speaker 1: with all of this talent he was put. Snoop gave
- 48:03Speaker 1: him a lot of stuff. I gave him so much
- 48:05Speaker 1: this person gave him. It's like he's been built into
- 48:10Speaker 1: so I mean, you know, he's still gotta focus. But
- 48:12Speaker 1: I think at the end of the day, it's just
- 48:14Speaker 1: like I said, it's it's it's it's him, And it's
- 48:16Speaker 1: also a lot of these young artists. A lot of
- 48:18Speaker 1: these young artists go through this hip hop monster that
- 48:21Speaker 1: they have to fight and and the hip hop monster
- 48:26Speaker 1: could have got me, but I was too smart and
- 48:28Speaker 1: I realized that, Um I knew that I knew what
- 48:31Speaker 1: I was doing was my field, right, But like just
- 48:34Speaker 1: say fencive when everybody say, you know, I got this
- 48:37Speaker 1: by Dr Dre, I got this by eminem and exhibit
- 48:39Speaker 1: about creating young artists. Right now, every artist that's out
- 48:45Speaker 1: right now is under twenty one. That's popular. But but
- 48:49Speaker 1: ten years ago j D was doing something wrong because
- 48:52Speaker 1: I wanted to work with artists that was on the
- 48:53Speaker 1: twenty one. Only now every record companies won't sign the
- 48:57Speaker 1: nig if he twenty seven years old. Thanks, you can
- 49:02Speaker 1: hang it up. I want you to do j D.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Let him know that he is a uh he's loved
- 49:08Speaker 1: one by the people. He think he's not too that
- 49:12Speaker 1: he needs to jump in that acting ship man. He
- 49:14Speaker 1: needs scratch the surface man. He has a sensibility that
- 49:20Speaker 1: you know you can't teach, so he should go forth
- 49:22Speaker 1: with that. But I'm hosting to be in my awards
- 49:23Speaker 1: that ship, and I know you're not affiliated with them, um,
- 49:26Speaker 1: but we're honoring yea, yeah, yeah, I'm hosting to be
- 49:33Speaker 1: in my awards and we're honoring I'm sorry, I have
- 49:36Speaker 1: nothing to know you have something to do with him mother,
- 49:40Speaker 1: and we're honoring Janet Jackson. How is that? Jend how
- 49:49Speaker 1: I gotta get my phone out for this. I want
- 49:54Speaker 1: people to know how my life? Yeah right now? Yeah,
- 50:03Speaker 1: what are you saying? Yes, so I'm hosting the being
- 50:06Speaker 1: my Awards. I know you have nothing to do with
- 50:07Speaker 1: being mine, but um, you have everything to do with
- 50:09Speaker 1: the person that we're honoring, Um, Janet Jackson. I just
- 50:12Speaker 1: want to know how was it? And that was the
- 50:17Speaker 1: perfect sixties seconds? Yeah I'm a professional, no, but how
- 50:22Speaker 1: was it? I mean, like, how was it? How was
- 50:23Speaker 1: it dating one of the biggest superstars in the galaxy?
- 50:29Speaker 1: That's a penny, that's so many motherfuckers they have Beyonce
- 50:34Speaker 1: versus Jenns. Jackson debates, they're going on currently hold on,
- 50:38Speaker 1: you're a liberman, right, yes. What they say about Lieberman
- 50:41Speaker 1: is that you guys are romantic. You all enjoy being
- 50:43Speaker 1: in getting baby burns. So I want to know how
- 50:48Speaker 1: romantic were you in y'all's situation. I wanted j D
- 50:52Speaker 1: with the Braves. They got a secret love child. That's
- 50:54Speaker 1: how my roman You know that ain't that other man.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I'm just you know, it is what it is. It's
- 51:06Speaker 1: not really that JD. You came out, you came, you
- 51:09Speaker 1: came out of nowhere with that relationship. First of all,
- 51:12Speaker 1: Now people might not know behind the scenes how cool
- 51:14Speaker 1: y'all was whatever, even me being around like like time,
- 51:21Speaker 1: I didn't really have a lot about like j D
- 51:23Speaker 1: being with all different types of women. No, no, no,
- 51:25Speaker 1: he did whatever. But it wasn't as bad as it
- 51:29Speaker 1: could have been. It wasn't as bad as it could
- 51:31Speaker 1: have been. Right, the real the women that that you
- 51:35Speaker 1: were like really out with, you were really with them
- 51:38Speaker 1: and it like they were your women. So with Janet,
- 51:41Speaker 1: because I think that shocked the world. It definitely shocked
- 51:43Speaker 1: the hell out of me. How where did that come from? Like,
- 51:47Speaker 1: I mean, you just shot at anybody? Hey, make it
- 51:54Speaker 1: hard for you, make it hard that I feel like,
- 52:00Speaker 1: I mean, I feel like if you you know, if
- 52:02Speaker 1: you go after something and you, and you aggressively go
- 52:06Speaker 1: after the way you go after, it could possibly happeny'all
- 52:08Speaker 1: was together for a while, eight or nine years? Yeah,
- 52:14Speaker 1: together that long. It was a very long time. Yeah damn.
- 52:18Speaker 1: What then? Why do you think everybody still talking about
- 52:20Speaker 1: we was together? Everybody talking about right, I'm gonna keep
- 52:24Speaker 1: talking about that because it was incredible married together, but
- 52:32Speaker 1: so so was it? So what happened? Why? What do
- 52:35Speaker 1: you think? I mean? I mean, you know, a lot
- 52:41Speaker 1: on my part, I would say I was you know,
- 52:42Speaker 1: I was young, and it was that was the first
- 52:45Speaker 1: longest relationship I've ever been there, you know. Um, like
- 52:49Speaker 1: I said with the confession ship, I don't know. I
- 52:51Speaker 1: don't know everything. I definitely don't know everything about relationships.
- 52:54Speaker 1: So you know, Um, it was a lot of fumbles
- 52:57Speaker 1: that I made. That is what it is learned. Did
- 53:01Speaker 1: you ever see Michael Jackson in the face when you
- 53:03Speaker 1: looked at it? No, I'm talking about in her face
- 53:04Speaker 1: when you looked at it. I get scared sometimes that's
- 53:09Speaker 1: a question. Okay, all of them be together? How was
- 53:16Speaker 1: Joe Jackson? Very interesting? Joe, Joe, see me by without
- 53:23Speaker 1: in Vegas and just be talking to me, you know, Yeah,
- 53:28Speaker 1: that's crazy, But you've been a part of a lot
- 53:29Speaker 1: of history. You're gonna keep making history. Nothing that tell
- 53:31Speaker 1: us all about this tour because it's coming up and
- 53:33Speaker 1: starts in d C. October fourteen. Running on stage during
- 53:37Speaker 1: the j D versus j D segment. Yeah, I mean
- 53:41Speaker 1: it's gonna be crazy. I was getting ready write this
- 53:44Speaker 1: post before I even came in here about asking people,
- 53:47Speaker 1: have you ever been to a concert where, damn it,
- 53:49Speaker 1: every song that the person performs it is number one
- 53:53Speaker 1: that I can't wait to go? I mean I haven't
- 53:58Speaker 1: been to That's a hell of a statement of jay D.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Everybody can't say that I been to a concert like that.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I swear to you. The first ten songs that we
- 54:05Speaker 1: performed on this tour, every one of them is number
- 54:07Speaker 1: one record. Wow for me. They from other the people
- 54:12Speaker 1: that's on this show Escape number one, Jagged Heads, Bratt,
- 54:16Speaker 1: all these people have number one one you need. I
- 54:20Speaker 1: was at the show when you brought jay Z out
- 54:22Speaker 1: in Atlanta. Remember that that party you did it after
- 54:25Speaker 1: party the Compound. Actually that was one of the best
- 54:27Speaker 1: parties ever at the world famous Compound. That night. Remember
- 54:30Speaker 1: that party because it's so just it was just so
- 54:33Speaker 1: much gonna That was one of the best parties. That
- 54:35Speaker 1: part of the concert. You know, the combat Fox, but
- 54:38Speaker 1: I'm talking about that he did that after that was
- 54:41Speaker 1: one of the best part of the COMPAI. And then
- 54:42Speaker 1: the other one was Birthday Bass when Drake and but
- 54:45Speaker 1: that was one of the best and whole had the
- 54:47Speaker 1: fucking you remember he damned left when the lights came on.
- 54:50Speaker 1: He never does that. I mean, you know, jay Z knows.
- 54:55Speaker 1: You know, the one thing I can tell people about
- 54:56Speaker 1: jay Z is jay Z understands the true, the truth
- 55:00Speaker 1: about he and our you know, our relationship um and
- 55:04Speaker 1: his connection to Atlanta and how it changed once I
- 55:07Speaker 1: did money saying. You know, people want to argue about
- 55:09Speaker 1: when I say that, you know, Nigga's and College Park
- 55:12Speaker 1: wasn't riding to jay Z like no told I was
- 55:15Speaker 1: the first person to bring him to Atlanta. I ain't
- 55:19Speaker 1: gonna lie. Niggas were surprised, especially the up north the
- 55:22Speaker 1: East Coast. They was like, how are you doing the regular?
- 55:24Speaker 1: But when that record came out, crazy crazy as far
- 55:31Speaker 1: as to seeing and like I said, that wasn't my goal.
- 55:34Speaker 1: But I know that I know that that relationship wasn't
- 55:37Speaker 1: there the way he has a relationship with the South
- 55:39Speaker 1: now definitely, and Atlanta especially Atlanta became one of his
- 55:44Speaker 1: favorite cities to come to. His biggest markets actually, um
- 55:47Speaker 1: and and you know that that relationship came from us.
- 55:50Speaker 1: So it was funny when people kept saying, but you're
- 55:52Speaker 1: doing the show with the Fox, but you ain't got
- 55:54Speaker 1: jay Z And I was just like, you know, if
- 55:56Speaker 1: y'all think that's gonna happen, then you keep thinking that.
- 56:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, But it is what it
- 56:02Speaker 1: is that in the crowd. In the crowd, I love
- 56:06Speaker 1: how you continue to be at the pivot of history.
- 56:09Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. It's it's hard for people
- 56:12Speaker 1: to actually be on every time it turn, you turn
- 56:14Speaker 1: it with it. You know, some people get left behind,
- 56:16Speaker 1: some people come back and catch up, but you've been
- 56:18Speaker 1: literally a part of the pivot every time, every time.
- 56:22Speaker 1: One that I must speak on now is that Billboard
- 56:26Speaker 1: just put out this chart last week of the greatest
- 56:30Speaker 1: R and B records ever. Yeah, and me and Becos
- 56:34Speaker 1: got number one and number three. You deserve it, though
- 56:38Speaker 1: I'm saying, like I think it's crazycause when I when
- 56:44Speaker 1: I go to the studio. It's so many artists that
- 56:47Speaker 1: I'm trying to compete with, like a Michael Jackson. The
- 56:50Speaker 1: album all so to hear you talk about confessions, like
- 56:53Speaker 1: this is what stud you're talking about? Like, how do
- 56:55Speaker 1: we make a record that you know resonates with people
- 56:58Speaker 1: the way Off the Wall resonates with me? So when
- 57:00Speaker 1: I hear y'all talk, it's just crazy to me, it
- 57:01Speaker 1: sounds like, you know, it feels like I actually did something,
- 57:05Speaker 1: like I compared it to what's going on, Like you
- 57:09Speaker 1: gotta think about what I'm saying too, because not just confession,
- 57:11Speaker 1: the whole body of work for the album was like
- 57:14Speaker 1: a look in the mirror for so many of us
- 57:17Speaker 1: as a culture. You know, I'm talking about into to
- 57:20Speaker 1: to to really dive into it and look at the
- 57:23Speaker 1: whole about your whole body of work. I'm talking about
- 57:25Speaker 1: Escape Records, I'm talking about Usher Records, I'm talking about
- 57:28Speaker 1: Mariah Records. So my last question for you, since you're
- 57:34Speaker 1: a jacket edge, remember yes, you heard it, you heard it.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Don't pass that you heard that. Sleeping in my Battery
- 57:44Speaker 1: remix or let's get married. Um, let's get married. Let's
- 57:50Speaker 1: get married. Let's get married. You know we played that.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's the record you're gonna play at
- 57:55Speaker 1: the way you're gonna play that record for the rest
- 57:58Speaker 1: of eternity. I mean that's like before I let go
- 58:00Speaker 1: gets me because you have the original, then you have
- 58:02Speaker 1: like the I've heard some some like techno remixing, so
- 58:05Speaker 1: I just feel like, no dead ass no, Like that
- 58:08Speaker 1: song has gone to every genre. It's touched every type
- 58:12Speaker 1: of of be you could think of, so it always
- 58:15Speaker 1: feels fresh to me. Like as soon as I hear it,
- 58:16Speaker 1: I'm just in my zwn like I'm thinking about the
- 58:19Speaker 1: husband I don't have. You know, we're walking down. It's
- 58:22Speaker 1: a nostalgic, memorable song. Every time you hear you see
- 58:25Speaker 1: something and once again that that record is a truthful record.
- 58:29Speaker 1: That's why you're feeling record that was made from a confession.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Let's get and I'm gonna tell you haven't run on
- 58:37Speaker 1: that song. But it's so many jack of their songs doing.
- 58:44Speaker 1: I really don't care people that song sound think that
- 58:52Speaker 1: I pitched myself. No, no, listen for real be for rug.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I was shocked. I was shocked when Escaped accomplished with
- 59:04Speaker 1: they accomplished, but then I forgot about the hits because
- 59:07Speaker 1: you memeb when they went on tour like this they're
- 59:08Speaker 1: doing in Phillips Arena, maybe the five Nigger, but they
- 59:12Speaker 1: got I mean, so the records that they do, it's like,
- 59:14Speaker 1: wait what you got? Like you said, everybody performer has
- 59:17Speaker 1: number one. I don't even mean to be this excited.
- 59:21Speaker 1: Another thing about sold them most records on ones. So
- 59:27Speaker 1: we talked about all of these artists on this tour
- 59:30Speaker 1: about while still has sold more records than everybody else,
- 59:33Speaker 1: and he got you know, number ones too of them.
- 59:36Speaker 1: And they're coming to see him at thirty because his
- 59:39Speaker 1: generation has grown now and they want to come see
- 59:41Speaker 1: that shows in the club. That's what I'm saying. It's
- 59:43Speaker 1: like for him, like for me always has been that bar,
- 59:48Speaker 1: like what is doing the same people as his age
- 59:51Speaker 1: group are doing the exact same thing. And here's premium whiskey.
- 59:58Speaker 1: That's mine. I'm an owner. Yeah, I'm an owner that's
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: made by the slave that taught Jack Daniels how to
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: steal own number seven. I don't know if you heard
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the story, but that's for you. We'll talk about it
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: off air, but um. The tour starts October fourteen, Washington,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: d C. And it goes through what um November two,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: Um supposedly, but I mean, as you know, as people
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: talk about it and the hype gets ground, get more markets,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: the dream is motherfucking really give it up for my
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: brother Jamain three, y'all. It's real.
