- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome, Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats.
- 0:07Speaker 2: My name is Michael Bennett.
- 0:09Speaker 1: On this rainy, stormy, thundering, lightning, you name it Wednesday,
- 0:15Speaker 1: almost that Thursday.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I know it.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I was I should have known that was what you're
- 0:19Speaker 1: gonna do. But August twelfth, and Justin Caitlin, as you know,
- 0:24Speaker 1: is with me this morning. But if you want to
- 0:25Speaker 1: call it, you can do it at FABO two three
- 0:27Speaker 1: four fourteen fifty. I who want to text in on
- 0:30Speaker 1: the Whiskey Thief text line because I get a feeling
- 0:33Speaker 1: we're gonna get a lot of texts today because I
- 0:35Speaker 1: got some I got some pretty wacky wild topics for today, Justin.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But good morning to you. How are you doing on
- 0:42Speaker 2: this Wednesday.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I am fantastic. I love Wednesdays because it means we're
- 0:47Speaker 3: halfway through the week. So you're pretty happy.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Yeah, a little more than halfway now because your show
- 0:52Speaker 1: is done, so you only got to sit there and
- 0:55Speaker 1: you know, ride ride along in coast on the rest
- 0:59Speaker 1: of the morning there at the Big Ex. But yeah, yeah,
- 1:03Speaker 1: I enjoyed the storms this morning. I will say we
- 1:07Speaker 1: lost power twice Broly, Oh totally. I mean I'm sitting
- 1:11Speaker 1: here trying to get some work done in my kitchen,
- 1:15Speaker 1: and all of a sudden it just goes totally black.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And course the sun's not up, and I mean it
- 1:20Speaker 1: is as dark as.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It could be.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I loved it. It made me relax.
- 1:24Speaker 1: The only thing that was on was my iPad and
- 1:26Speaker 1: my little you know, my little thing. All did I
- 1:30Speaker 1: use my notebook? I forget what it's called a remarkable yeah,
- 1:37Speaker 1: which is barely any light on it.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Now. Did you get good storms last night? As well?
- 1:42Speaker 1: We got some, not as much as I was hoping.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Did you get y'all got bigger ones than we did,
- 1:48Speaker 1: didn't he Our storms were so disappointing really.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Now, when we were driving back from Park Mammoth last night,
- 1:55Speaker 3: we drove through some crazy stuff. But yeah, the roommate
- 1:59Speaker 3: when I got home, he said, said, we never really
- 2:01Speaker 3: got anything crazy. And I kept waiting. I was just
- 2:03Speaker 3: sitting out on the porch and there was a bunch
- 2:06Speaker 3: of thunder and lightning to the north of me, and
- 2:07Speaker 3: I was like, all right, it's coming, and it just
- 2:09Speaker 3: never got there. Really.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Well, I'm sorry to hear that for you. So but
- 2:13Speaker 1: you got your round in though, correct?
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yeah? We did.
- 2:16Speaker 2: How'd you play pretty horrible.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Really, it was pretty pretty horrible. No, So I shot
- 2:23Speaker 3: a forty seven on the front. I was feeling good
- 2:25Speaker 3: on the front. Yeah, like that's that's okay for me.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's great the back. Really would you
- 2:34Speaker 1: shoot on the back fifty five? Did you really?
- 2:38Speaker 3: My constant?
- 2:39Speaker 2: I am so sorry.
- 2:40Speaker 3: I lost all concentration on the back that. Wow, I
- 2:44Speaker 3: just got a little bit too hot out there, I was, Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 3: but it was it was gorgeous. You haven't played that course?
- 2:49Speaker 3: You gotta do it.
- 2:50Speaker 2: It's all I don't even know where it is. Cave City.
- 2:53Speaker 3: You drove all the way down to Cave City to
- 2:56Speaker 3: play golf. It's only an hour and twenty minutes from here.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Wow, that's still a hike. Okay, Wow, I just uh
- 3:04Speaker 1: Cavee City.
- 3:04Speaker 2: And that was always kind of the halfway point for
- 3:06Speaker 2: us when we drove to Nashville.
- 3:07Speaker 1: We would stop off there, get some gas, get a
- 3:10Speaker 1: little get a little snacky snack, and then get back
- 3:12Speaker 1: in the car and head back down.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Well, if you've ever played Park Bammouth, or you ever
- 3:15Speaker 3: get the chance to, you'll understand that. Why the why
- 3:19Speaker 3: the hour and a half drive is no big deal?
- 3:21Speaker 3: All really well, see it's gorgeous.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That's where they have the dinosaurs, isn't And if I
- 3:27Speaker 1: remember correctly, they when I was a kid, they had
- 3:30Speaker 1: a thing called gun Town Mountain, Okay, and it was
- 3:34Speaker 1: on I love how it was a mountain. Of course,
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's a little hill, but they had little Western town
- 3:40Speaker 1: up there where these guys would be, uh, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: shoot them up, and they'd be up there acting like
- 3:44Speaker 1: they're bad guys, and you had the good guys guys,
- 3:47Speaker 1: as my dad would always teach me, the guys that
- 3:49Speaker 1: wore the black cowboy hats were the bad guys, the
- 3:52Speaker 1: guy that wore the white cowboy hat or the good guys.
- 3:55Speaker 1: So you knew who you wanted to be shot. And
- 3:57Speaker 1: sometimes I wanted the guys with the black hats to win.
- 4:00Speaker 1: But I know it was I think it was called
- 4:04Speaker 1: If I'm not mistaken, I think it's still there. But
- 4:07Speaker 1: I don't think they do the whole Western shoot them
- 4:11Speaker 1: up thing. Are you looking that up by the way, No, okay,
- 4:14Speaker 1: I didn't know if you were or not. But yeah,
- 4:16Speaker 1: Guntown Mountain and we stopped off there one time. In
- 4:19Speaker 1: my dead I can remember my dad saying, yeah, that's
- 4:22Speaker 1: enough for me. So anyway, we never got to go again.
- 4:25Speaker 1: It had a little uh what are those things of
- 4:29Speaker 1: chair lift that you rode up to the top and
- 4:32Speaker 1: so anyway, yeah, and got to see all of Cave City.
- 4:36Speaker 1: But I will tell you I have never partaken anything
- 4:40Speaker 1: in Cave City. I've never been to Mammoth Cave or
- 4:42Speaker 1: anything like that, really, and I've never have and I.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Kind of regret that. I know.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's like like I still have time. I'm acting like
- 4:51Speaker 1: I don't, but I need to go someday. Have you
- 4:54Speaker 1: gone to Mamma Cave?
- 4:57Speaker 2: Have you been to? What is it in Indiana? Morango Cave?
- 5:00Speaker 3: I've been to all? Have you really been all of them?
- 5:03Speaker 3: In Indiana? Squire Boon? Wow, Yeah, you name it. I've
- 5:06Speaker 3: been there.
- 5:07Speaker 2: And what made you go there?
- 5:10Speaker 3: We actually took field trips there when I was in school.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Oh see, that's the difference. So my schools never took
- 5:17Speaker 1: us there, so we never went to any caves or
- 5:20Speaker 1: anything like that. I'm kind of bombing which which of
- 5:23Speaker 1: the caves? Did you like? The Kentucky ones or the
- 5:26Speaker 1: Indiana ones more? They're all pretty much the same.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I mean they're to me, they're all pretty much the
- 5:32Speaker 3: same if you're underground in a cooler environment. You got
- 5:35Speaker 3: stalactites and stalagmites everywhere. In bats, I mean, they're a
- 5:39Speaker 3: cave's a cave, but I mean I don't think squire
- 5:43Speaker 3: Boon or Maringo. I don't think they touch part a
- 5:48Speaker 3: mammoth cave. H Really it's that much better? Yeah, I
- 5:52Speaker 3: had no idea. Okay, well then i'll have to make that.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Are you a cave god? Yeah? And you don't strike
- 5:57Speaker 3: me as somebody that would walk underground.
- 5:59Speaker 1: If if it's a big one, yes, if it's a
- 6:02Speaker 1: small one, which I've been in a small one before,
- 6:04Speaker 1: because when I was younger that I didn't have, I
- 6:07Speaker 1: wasn't claustrophobic.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Like I am today. I don't know what the flip was.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I really don't know at what point I flipped to him,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'm really claustrophobic. But before we would, I went to
- 6:18Speaker 1: a little camp, a Bible camp up in Mitchell, Indiana
- 6:21Speaker 1: called spring Mill Bible Camp. I grew up going there
- 6:24Speaker 1: all my life. Exactly what you're talking about, do you
- 6:27Speaker 1: really spring Mill State Park?
- 6:28Speaker 3: I used to have to drive right by there when
- 6:30Speaker 3: I would drive up to Bloomington.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Really Okay.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Uh it's the home of a famous astronaut and right,
- 6:39Speaker 1: of course I can't think of his name, but uh
- 6:42Speaker 1: not Neil Armstrong. Gus Grissom, yep is the home who
- 6:46Speaker 1: was one of the original Gemini astronauts, the first ones
- 6:50Speaker 1: they ever had, and that was the home. That's what Mitchell,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Indiana was famous for as Gus griss In fact, I
- 6:56Speaker 1: think at the state park there, spring Mill State Park,
- 6:59Speaker 1: they had one of his capsules.
- 7:00Speaker 3: But there now they're famous for Chase Briscoe. There's a
- 7:04Speaker 3: NASCAR driver. Ah see, I don't know Chase Briscoe. He's
- 7:09Speaker 3: from Mitchell, Indiana. Wow, So has he been successful? Yeah?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he's had a great good for him. Yeah
- 7:17Speaker 3: he's still young though, so he's got he's got plenty
- 7:19Speaker 3: of more time. But yeah, he's he's a good little driver.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So at the state park there, spring Mill State Park,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I used to go in the caves.
- 7:25Speaker 3: There, okay, and uh so there'd be some.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Tight spots and uh yeah, I remember a few years
- 7:32Speaker 1: back a couple of guys that had evidently rained really
- 7:34Speaker 1: hard and a couple of guys got caught up in
- 7:36Speaker 1: the cave there.
- 7:37Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, I would be done. Yeah.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Now, uh, because it's not really tight to go into
- 7:44Speaker 1: Mammoth Cave, is it.
- 7:46Speaker 3: No? No, the the openings, so I could go, Yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 3: I could go.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I think I could go in there now yeah, I'd
- 7:55Speaker 1: try it. But uh anyway, Uh oh boy, I can't
- 8:01Speaker 1: wait to read some of these texts that are already
- 8:03Speaker 1: coming in.
- 8:04Speaker 2: All right, then, Uh, I do think.
- 8:07Speaker 1: I listen, You're gonna think I'm crazy, but exactly and
- 8:12Speaker 1: I do. I I can confirm it, but I think
- 8:16Speaker 1: that the story of the day has nothing to do
- 8:18Speaker 1: with UK.
- 8:19Speaker 2: How do you like that?
- 8:22Speaker 1: I really think the biggest story which I really enjoyed
- 8:27Speaker 1: last night. It was all over social media and of
- 8:30Speaker 1: course you could watch it because of uh it's one
- 8:33Speaker 1: of our local teams, not in Louisville but regionally. But
- 8:37Speaker 1: what the Chicago White Sox did last night I thought
- 8:41Speaker 1: was absolutely brilliant and it was it was did they
- 8:45Speaker 1: call it Pope Night or what did they call it?
- 8:47Speaker 1: So if you haven't seen it or not last night
- 8:50Speaker 1: the Chicago White Sox because of the Pope what's his name?
- 8:57Speaker 2: Pope?
- 8:57Speaker 1: It's not Francis, it's uh, great question, Leo Pope? Leo
- 9:03Speaker 1: is his name, yeah, Pope Leo, who is a self
- 9:07Speaker 1: proclaimed White Sox fan. So the White Sox thought it'd
- 9:11Speaker 1: be a great idea to come out with Pope pats,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and they originally thought they would get let's just get
- 9:18Speaker 1: twenty five hundred hats. Then the game sold out immediately,
- 9:22Speaker 1: so I said, well, we'll do five hundred more, and
- 9:24Speaker 1: then more people wanted them, so they talked to the
- 9:28Speaker 1: manufacture of the hats. They got forty thousand Pope pats
- 9:33Speaker 1: to give away last night. Thousand, forty thousand popats. Everybody
- 9:38Speaker 1: was wearing a Pope hat versus the Reds last night.
- 9:42Speaker 3: You didn't know this, no, I mean I knew, I
- 9:44Speaker 3: knew it was popat giveaway night and all that, but
- 9:46Speaker 3: I didn't realize they had forty thousand. Yeah, yeah, yeah
- 9:50Speaker 3: they were.
- 9:51Speaker 1: They had just over forty thousand popeats and they had
- 9:55Speaker 1: thirty eight thousand people in attendance.
- 9:57Speaker 2: I thought this was awesome. Extra two thousand I don't know.
- 10:02Speaker 1: But clearly evidently there are people that already have their
- 10:06Speaker 1: Pope hat on eBay selling it for as much as
- 10:09Speaker 1: ten dollars. It's like, really, you go to all that expense,
- 10:13Speaker 1: that effort to go to see the White Sox play
- 10:16Speaker 1: and get your well, well, clearly of most of the
- 10:19Speaker 1: people went there to get their Pope hat and now
- 10:21Speaker 1: you're already gonna sell it. I just thought this was
- 10:24Speaker 1: great and now I'm to the point. Here's what UK
- 10:28Speaker 1: needs to do. They need to talk to the same
- 10:31Speaker 1: manufacture and have a Pope hat night at UK. I
- 10:36Speaker 1: don't you know the one the one year they did
- 10:39Speaker 1: the lower level where they gave the construction hats. I
- 10:42Speaker 1: got one. And it's not because I was in the
- 10:45Speaker 1: lower level. I was up to the media area. But
- 10:48Speaker 1: a friend of mine, his dad was pretty much a
- 10:52Speaker 1: he's a fan of another team and he's like, Michael,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you can have my hat, so he gave me his.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I think they need to do a Pope hat night
- 11:00Speaker 1: in honor of Mark Pope.
- 11:01Speaker 3: When he when he did his introductory press conference, weren't
- 11:04Speaker 3: there a couple of guys standing behind him with Pope outfits.
- 11:08Speaker 1: With Pope outfits on UK ones. And that's why I'm like,
- 11:11Speaker 1: come on, have a little fun. You know you and
- 11:14Speaker 1: I have complimented all week this week the great success
- 11:19Speaker 1: at the athletic department and the social media guys are
- 11:24Speaker 1: doing it UK. This would be the greatest promotion. If
- 11:28Speaker 1: you you can't do it in a football game, you
- 11:31Speaker 1: can't do it at any other vin you because it's
- 11:34Speaker 1: not Mark Pope, that's the coach. It's got to be
- 11:37Speaker 1: a basketball It wouldn't it be fun if you had
- 11:39Speaker 1: all of Reprienda, not just the lower level. Don't go
- 11:42Speaker 1: cheap on the UK. But if you had the entire
- 11:45Speaker 1: reperina wearing UK Pope hats.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I just think it would be fun.
- 11:50Speaker 3: I mean it wouldn't. I don't know, call me crazy,
- 11:52Speaker 3: but I don't think it'd be great for sightlines.
- 11:57Speaker 2: No, of course not if you.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Got everybody wearing the do you got to do it well?
- 12:01Speaker 1: But have you seen the crazy hat that these women
- 12:04Speaker 1: wear sometimes to the derby? It's like, okay, this is ridiculous.
- 12:08Speaker 1: People cannot see around you. If I'm sitting behind them,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I'm asking them to take it off.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Are you never do that? Oh?
- 12:17Speaker 2: Really?
- 12:17Speaker 3: Have you ever had a woman and be like, oh
- 12:19Speaker 3: you know what, sir, You're right, I'm blocking your way.
- 12:21Speaker 3: I apologize. Let me take off this hat that I
- 12:24Speaker 3: paid five hundred dollars for.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But you know what, when you wear but trust me
- 12:31Speaker 1: that I guarantee you those gigantic hats are not five
- 12:34Speaker 1: hundred dollars. I bet they're a lot more than that.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Oh I think, yeah, I think upwards of two three
- 12:39Speaker 1: four thousand dollars for those. Oh yeah, you haven't shop
- 12:44Speaker 1: for hats in a while, have you?
- 12:45Speaker 3: Hats?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Derby hats can be very expensive. Okay, now you believe me,
- 12:52Speaker 1: don't you? Yeah, what are you looking at?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Tell me they're No, they're actually not as as crazy
- 12:59Speaker 3: as you say. So this one's pretty pretty fancy and
- 13:02Speaker 3: it's seven.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Hundred Okay, all right, then never mind. I thought there
- 13:06Speaker 1: were some hats out there once.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Because don't the women do like they customize them all
- 13:13Speaker 3: they yes, yeah, they them up.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:16Speaker 1: So I listen, if if I paid all this money
- 13:20Speaker 1: to go see an event and somebody's wearing something in
- 13:23Speaker 1: front of me, I'm gonna either ask him to politely
- 13:27Speaker 1: take it off or I'm getting an usher. I'm not
- 13:29Speaker 1: paying all this money to be totally blocked like I'm
- 13:32Speaker 1: at a Buffalo Bill's game, so boom roasted. But I just,
- 13:37Speaker 1: but I just I feel like that's obnoxious to wear
- 13:40Speaker 1: something like that so big that you obstruct everybody else's
- 13:44Speaker 1: you now last night, I think that's a lot of fun.
- 13:48Speaker 1: And I think I don't know if people would get
- 13:52Speaker 1: upset that the you're obstructing you can still see around
- 13:55Speaker 1: a popead.
- 13:57Speaker 3: That's one of these.
- 13:59Speaker 2: But I don't know. I think you think they warmed
- 14:02Speaker 2: the entire game.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I would you? Would? You? Really? Absolutely? All right?
- 14:07Speaker 2: So have you gone to a Louisville Kings game?
- 14:10Speaker 3: No?
- 14:11Speaker 1: Okay, because that was one of the more bigger giveaways too,
- 14:14Speaker 1: wasn't it The King's hat? And all these guys are
- 14:17Speaker 1: out there wearing the King's hat, which I thought was awesome.
- 14:20Speaker 3: But that doesn't get in the way.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I would probably wear my Pope hat for five minutes
- 14:27Speaker 1: and I'm the okay, I'm good, and then I'm taking
- 14:29Speaker 1: it home.
- 14:30Speaker 3: After that five minutes. Are you ever wearing it again? Never? Never? Yeah?
- 14:37Speaker 1: I mean I have I have a hat, a cowboy
- 14:39Speaker 1: hat I bought or my mom did, bought a dollhairs
- 14:43Speaker 1: that has a UK wildcat on the front of it
- 14:46Speaker 1: in Kentucky on one side and wildcats on the other.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I wore it to a game one time and that
- 14:50Speaker 1: was enough. I still have it now to stetson. It's
- 14:53Speaker 1: a it's a nice cow is stetson considered a really
- 14:56Speaker 1: nice cowboy hat anymore.
- 14:57Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, I'm not all familiar with
- 15:00Speaker 3: cowboy hats, but I think.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So I'm not either, so I didn't know if that
- 15:03Speaker 1: was considered good anymore. But listen, I think this holy
- 15:06Speaker 1: event last night for the White Sox. They have to
- 15:08Speaker 1: do it again. And if they do it again, I
- 15:10Speaker 1: feel like we need to go. I need to get
- 15:13Speaker 1: a White Sox pop leo hat.
- 15:15Speaker 3: You can on on the internet.
- 15:17Speaker 1: No, I'm not doing that. I gotta go there and
- 15:19Speaker 1: get it for free. I'm not going to go on
- 15:20Speaker 1: the internet and go buy it for five ten dollars.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I think that's ridiculous.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Wow, cowboy hats, Holy smokes, those are expensive, are they really? Yeah?
- 15:32Speaker 3: There's how much your cowboy hats. There's one stetson on
- 15:34Speaker 3: here that's fifteen dollars. Are you kidding me?
- 15:38Speaker 1: No? Why is the stetson fifteen hundred dollars for fourteen? Well,
- 15:44Speaker 1: we've talked about the guy here in town that makes
- 15:47Speaker 1: the custom made hats, and I don't think his are
- 15:50Speaker 1: over one thousand dollars. I think his are like five six, seven,
- 15:53Speaker 1: eight hundred dollars something like that. The guy down there
- 15:55Speaker 1: in Nulu that does those hats, he's got to be
- 15:58Speaker 1: the coolest guy ever.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Here's one for fifty six.
- 16:03Speaker 1: No, I'm not buying a hat for that much. It's
- 16:08Speaker 1: just not going to happen. Yeah, anyway, all right, we
- 16:11Speaker 1: got to take our first break. How do you like that?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Right there? I'm right on time. See now you're looking
- 16:16Speaker 1: at hats the entire time. Uh, but uh uh yeah,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I will. Well, you learn a lot on this show.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Just to let you know now there there are absolutely
- 16:27Speaker 1: facts that you will never useless facts you'll never use again,
- 16:31Speaker 1: except for probably some random what's the game that that
- 16:36Speaker 1: people used to play?
- 16:37Speaker 3: That? Uh? That was useless facts.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I can't think of it, but uh, you'll probably yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 1: somebody will help me out with that. There was a
- 16:45Speaker 1: game people played, okay, Uh, Fible two three four fourteen fifty.
- 16:49Speaker 1: You want to call in Fable two four one four
- 16:51Speaker 1: fourteen fifty. You want to text in on the Whisky
- 16:53Speaker 1: Thief text line, or you tweet me at just the
- 16:55Speaker 1: Cat Radio when.
- 16:56Speaker 2: We come back.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Uh. There was an interview yesterday that I have to
- 17:01Speaker 1: say I really really enjoyed. Amongst two University Kentucky basketball players.
- 17:08Speaker 1: We're going to talk about that when we get back.
- 17:10Speaker 1: In fact, I'm gonna have justin play just a little
- 17:12Speaker 1: tidbit of it, which which I thought, it is like, Okay,
- 17:16Speaker 1: I need more, I need more of this again, it's
- 17:18Speaker 1: back to the social media UK. They're just hitting home
- 17:22Speaker 1: run after home run, and this was the content I
- 17:24Speaker 1: needed to listen to. So stay right there. More just
- 17:28Speaker 1: the cats coming right out.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Try imagine ning a place well, it's always.
- 17:31Speaker 4: Safe and warm, come in, she said, I'll give you
- 17:34Speaker 4: a shelduff rum the storm.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I was burned out.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Whether if you want to sing out, sing out, and
- 17:58Speaker 4: if you want to be free, free, because there has
- 18:02Speaker 4: a million things to be you know that there are,
- 18:09Speaker 4: And if you want to live hot, live hot, and
- 18:12Speaker 4: if you want to live though, live though.
- 18:15Speaker 1: So now all of a sudden, we're having all kinds
- 18:17Speaker 1: of weather alerts. Oh yeah, morning, you know really okay.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I was just gonna ask you, do you think we're
- 18:23Speaker 3: gonna get daylight today?
- 18:26Speaker 1: It's as dark as it can be outside. It's eight thirty,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and I'm right there with you. It just does not
- 18:35Speaker 1: feel like it's gonna get daylight today at all. Which
- 18:37Speaker 1: indicates to me those are some really, really thick crowd
- 18:41Speaker 1: clouds out there.
- 18:41Speaker 3: You know what? You know what this reminds me of, Right, No,
- 18:45Speaker 3: what if we ever get to a point where daylight
- 18:48Speaker 3: savings time goes away? These are the types of mornings
- 18:52Speaker 3: we can expect. It's gonna be dark until nine o'clock
- 18:54Speaker 3: in the morning.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And truthfully, I kind of like that, you don't I do.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I wanted to stay this time all year long the
- 19:04Speaker 1: rest of my life.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It's the time I like the most. I don't want
- 19:07Speaker 2: it the other way around.
- 19:08Speaker 1: If they do it the other way around and it
- 19:10Speaker 1: stays that way the rest of my life, it'll be depressing.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But I know I don't want to change. I just
- 19:16Speaker 1: leave it, leave it this time and will be good.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'd be okay with that. Why would you not like
- 19:23Speaker 1: having dark mornings? It makes you sleep a little longer?
- 19:26Speaker 3: Yeah, But I mean I can't sleep longer though, because
- 19:28Speaker 3: I gotta be up to a certain certain time. But now, No,
- 19:32Speaker 3: there's something to be said about driving here in the
- 19:34Speaker 3: mornings and seeing the sunrise coming up, and then being
- 19:37Speaker 3: able to look out my window whenever I want and
- 19:39Speaker 3: see the sun. Sunris me happy, I don't want it
- 19:42Speaker 3: to be dark on with that.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Sun makes me, it makes everybody happy, but I just
- 19:46Speaker 1: feel like, okay, having the time the way it is
- 19:50Speaker 1: and having it more daylight in the afternoon and evening,
- 19:54Speaker 1: I think is better for me personally.
- 19:57Speaker 2: I like that.
- 19:58Speaker 1: So I'm okay with it being it because I I
- 20:00Speaker 1: guess because I'm so used to getting up anyway and
- 20:03Speaker 1: it's dark that it's just never affected me. So if
- 20:07Speaker 1: it stays darker a little longer, so wide, just so
- 20:10Speaker 1: be it. I'm just with you on that one. So
- 20:13Speaker 1: one person texted in, if you had one job in
- 20:16Speaker 1: pro sports, what would it be for me? It would
- 20:19Speaker 1: be the person behind the goalie that that signals that
- 20:22Speaker 1: the putt went in or not. Would like to believe
- 20:26Speaker 1: that pays well, but I have no idea. I also
- 20:30Speaker 1: have to like to believe every time they signal a goal,
- 20:35Speaker 1: the horn celebration automatically goes off and that is an
- 20:38Speaker 1: incredible use of power.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Well, they don't use those guys in hockey anymore, do they.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I'm not tu me.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I don't think they do in the NHL, so I
- 20:47Speaker 1: think that's kind of thing of the past because they've
- 20:50Speaker 1: gone to where it's all video proof, so they don't
- 20:53Speaker 1: need anybody sitting there. And honestly, I doubt NHL doesn't
- 20:59Speaker 1: generate the money that MLB, NBA and NFL does, so
- 21:04Speaker 1: i'd have to believe justin those guys don't make much money.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Probably not.
- 21:08Speaker 1: No, Yeah, yeah, so now all right, I already know
- 21:13Speaker 1: what I would love to do.
- 21:14Speaker 3: Oh you do?
- 21:15Speaker 2: Okay?
- 21:16Speaker 3: Perfect? What would it be so mine? With my play
- 21:19Speaker 3: by play background, obviously, doing radio broadcasts for the Pittsburgh
- 21:23Speaker 3: Steelers would be an absolute dream. Heck, give me, give
- 21:27Speaker 3: me the Reds, give me the Hoosiers. I don't really care.
- 21:29Speaker 3: As long as I'm doing play by play for one
- 21:31Speaker 3: of my teams. I think that would be a lot
- 21:32Speaker 3: of fun. But if you take away that stipulation, let's
- 21:36Speaker 3: just say I can't do play by play. I would
- 21:40Speaker 3: love Although I know these guys are volunteers. I would
- 21:43Speaker 3: fight for it to be a paid position, but I
- 21:46Speaker 3: would love to be the guys on the golf course
- 21:48Speaker 3: that are sticking the flag by the ball.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Is that really volunteering?
- 21:54Speaker 3: I'm pretty yeah? Really?
- 21:57Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, because my dad volunteered at UH for the
- 22:03Speaker 1: it was the I think it was the Ryder Cup
- 22:06Speaker 1: at Valhalla and he had a bout. Williams made this
- 22:12Speaker 1: really long putt uh and bou weekly yeah and in
- 22:17Speaker 1: the uh in the Ryder Cup and he came by
- 22:21Speaker 1: in high fight my dad.
- 22:22Speaker 2: It was all over ESPN.
- 22:24Speaker 1: I mean it was oh yeah, so my dad was
- 22:26Speaker 1: on ESPN and we all had a hoot with that one.
- 22:28Speaker 1: But uh, Now for me, I I've always wanted to do.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I always wanted to be an official in the In
- 22:35Speaker 1: the NFL, you take a lot of well, I'm with it,
- 22:39Speaker 1: but I thought that would be now here's what Michael
- 22:43Speaker 1: Bennett would be at that point. I would be one
- 22:46Speaker 1: of the ripped officials. I would be working out and
- 22:50Speaker 1: pumping iron every scene day because I want to be
- 22:55Speaker 1: one of those guys that wears one of the really
- 22:58Speaker 1: tight official shirts. Because when those guys come up to
- 23:02Speaker 1: me and argue, man, I'm gonna flex my nipples and
- 23:04Speaker 1: they're not gonna say a word to be okay, that's
- 23:06Speaker 1: what's gonna happen, because that's I'd be in the best
- 23:09Speaker 1: shape of my life. I just always wanted to be
- 23:11Speaker 1: an official. I thought it'd be fun. My goal was
- 23:14Speaker 1: always be official in the SEC. I am and I
- 23:18Speaker 1: just I.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Just never did it.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I'm just far too thin skinned to be an official. Really.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I would hear one person say something that's
- 23:26Speaker 3: a horrible call, and I'd like, I'd break down, like,
- 23:30Speaker 3: you know what you're right was a horrible call. Yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Well, my dad was an official, a basketball official in
- 23:37Speaker 1: the SEC many years ago, and man, he said he
- 23:42Speaker 1: he took it as a gigantic compliment when Adolph Rupp
- 23:48Speaker 1: came and chewed him out, and he.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Thought that was the greatest thing.
- 23:51Speaker 1: And he thought Adolf Rupp was going to intimidate him,
- 23:54Speaker 1: all right, No, yeah, and Adolf Rupp, I think thought
- 23:56Speaker 1: he was going to intimidate him too. But my dad
- 23:59Speaker 1: just like smiled and and and thought to himself, this
- 24:02Speaker 1: is my dream come true. I just got chewed out
- 24:04Speaker 1: for the first time by Adolf up and he loved it.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I mean, he bragged about the rest of his life.
- 24:09Speaker 1: So uh and uh. But anyway, that I just I
- 24:13Speaker 1: always thought that'd be fun to be an official. But yeah,
- 24:15Speaker 1: I could have guessed what you were gonna say. But
- 24:18Speaker 1: other than that, I was always envious to the guys
- 24:20Speaker 1: that held the yardsticks.
- 24:22Speaker 3: Oh you want to be a chain part of the
- 24:24Speaker 3: chain gang.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Part of the chain gang. Yeah, why not?
- 24:28Speaker 1: You got the best seat in the house. Can you
- 24:31Speaker 1: imagine being there? And do those guys get paid? I
- 24:34Speaker 1: I think they do. They're part of the Okay, so
- 24:38Speaker 1: I listen, you were a part of the best seat
- 24:41Speaker 1: in the house and you have to watch you are
- 24:43Speaker 1: required to watch that game.
- 24:45Speaker 2: I thought it'd be fun, but evidently you don't think so.
- 24:48Speaker 3: I don't know what else.
- 24:49Speaker 2: That's a great question, by the way.
- 24:51Speaker 3: It is because there's a lot of jobs in sports
- 24:53Speaker 3: that we don't.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Even think about exactly. Well, can you imagine what Corey
- 24:58Speaker 1: Price does for UK?
- 24:59Speaker 3: Don't?
- 25:00Speaker 1: Do you think he enjoys that right there? That would
- 25:03Speaker 1: be fun to be a part of the broadcast team.
- 25:05Speaker 1: You're not having to announce, but you're doing all the
- 25:08Speaker 1: stats or doing s potter.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I think even doing something like figuring out promotions, like
- 25:14Speaker 3: doing the White Sox thing last night, I think that
- 25:16Speaker 3: would be fun.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah. I can tell you. I've got a really good
- 25:22Speaker 1: friend named Darren Brown. His best friend is Kirk kirk Street,
- 25:26Speaker 1: and Darren travels with Kirk to every single game and
- 25:31Speaker 1: is his spotter for every game that they do. He
- 25:35Speaker 1: doesn't have to do it, and it's voluntary. He doesn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: do this for pay. He does this because he wants
- 25:40Speaker 1: to hang out with Kirpan. He gets to go to
- 25:41Speaker 1: all these different games across the country and he has
- 25:45Speaker 1: a ball.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I guarantee it.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he loves it. So I always thought that
- 25:51Speaker 1: would be a good one. Michelle texted out, Michael, you
- 25:56Speaker 1: can't even go into an MRI. You will not be
- 25:59Speaker 1: able to go to the Mammoth Cave.
- 26:01Speaker 3: No, Mammoth Cave's huge.
- 26:03Speaker 1: I think she means, if you can't go into an MRI,
- 26:06Speaker 1: you will not be able to go to Mammoth Cave.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Do you think so?
- 26:10Speaker 3: I mean it's called Mammoth Cave. It's pretty big. How
- 26:13Speaker 3: big is the entrance though?
- 26:16Speaker 2: Oh it is?
- 26:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I could do it. It's like all
- 26:20Speaker 3: it's all commercialized now, Like there's stairs leading into the
- 26:24Speaker 3: entrance and oh really, is it a lot of stairs
- 26:28Speaker 3: that you got to go up and down? I mean,
- 26:30Speaker 3: once you're inside, there's quite a bit of staircases.
- 26:33Speaker 2: But yeah, okay, I listen, I'd like to try once.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Uh. One person texted out, Michael's school probably dug their
- 26:41Speaker 1: own cave, so they didn't have to travel. Thanks, I'm
- 26:48Speaker 1: not that am I really does everybody think I'm that
- 26:51Speaker 1: old to say something like that? Come on, I gotta
- 26:55Speaker 1: get never mind, I'm not gonna say it. Just just
- 26:58Speaker 1: forget it. One person said, uh. A forty eight handler
- 27:03Speaker 1: says yayh yeah. A Guntown Mountain was pretty phony even
- 27:09Speaker 1: back in the day. Remember the motel rooms shaped like tps.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I do remember that they had TP motels. They were awesome.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I always wanted to stay in. My dad like, we're
- 27:20Speaker 1: not spending that money. It's like geez man, Well, I
- 27:26Speaker 1: mean I would have rather stayed in a TP than
- 27:29Speaker 1: an ice house, like I did this past February.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I can tell you that.
- 27:32Speaker 1: But before they consolidated, I played against the Marango Caveman
- 27:36Speaker 1: in high school. The locker rooms were shaped like a cave.
- 27:40Speaker 1: That's pretty cool.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Wait, who's this team from?
- 27:43Speaker 2: This is coming from forty eight handling that was forever ago. Well,
- 27:49Speaker 2: so you know about this?
- 27:50Speaker 3: I know, I don't know. I've never even heard of
- 27:52Speaker 3: the Maringo Caveman. That's what I'm saying.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Morango Caveman high School. Their locker rooms were shaped like
- 27:58Speaker 1: a cave.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I feel like I have a pretty good knowledge of
- 28:01Speaker 3: all the Indiana high schools, and I've never heard of
- 28:03Speaker 3: that one.
- 28:04Speaker 2: That's pretty cool.
- 28:05Speaker 1: If that's the case, and they need to go back
- 28:06Speaker 1: to that, they they have to raise some money. Is
- 28:09Speaker 1: that there is that they're real, real mascot the caveman. Well,
- 28:12Speaker 1: they're not a high school anymore.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Oh they're not.
- 28:15Speaker 3: All. That's because i'd never even heard.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, okay, uh, Josh texted out Stetson's are
- 28:25Speaker 1: weird because hipsters are buying them now too. Vintage ones
- 28:29Speaker 1: bring a premium. If you want to get deeper into
- 28:33Speaker 1: look into vintage or even current Pendleton flannel shirts. Great
- 28:38Speaker 1: quality stuff, but they bring big money to I. I
- 28:41Speaker 1: have no idea what a Pendleton flannel shirt is the neither.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Do you wear flannel shirts?
- 28:49Speaker 3: No?
- 28:50Speaker 2: Not in the winter. I have a few, but they're comfortable.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Not grand law. It is all about them, is he
- 28:58Speaker 3: RelA your grandfather? Two every single day, one on top
- 29:02Speaker 3: of each other. Wait wait wait wait wait you mean
- 29:06Speaker 3: even in the summer. Even in the summer he wears
- 29:08Speaker 3: one with another one on top of it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Why are we wearing two flannel shirts?
- 29:14Speaker 3: No idea, That's just how he is you've never asked him. No,
- 29:17Speaker 3: he's He's just always been that way as long as
- 29:20Speaker 3: I can remember.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Well, see, I used to get criticized that I wear
- 29:24Speaker 1: I like to wear undershirts even in the summertime. Clearly
- 29:28Speaker 1: it's it's great in the wintertime, but it protects your shirt.
- 29:31Speaker 1: Plus it keeps you cooler. Even on a hot day.
- 29:35Speaker 1: You are cooler wearing an undershirt than you are. It's
- 29:39Speaker 1: just it's just a T shirt. I mean, it's not
- 29:40Speaker 1: like the ones that they call those other things, you know,
- 29:43Speaker 1: the beaters. I don't wear those. I wear the ones
- 29:47Speaker 1: that have sleeves.
- 29:47Speaker 3: When I was in high school, I wore basketball shorts
- 29:50Speaker 3: under my jeans.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Why would you wear basketball shorts under your geans?
- 29:55Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you. I wish I could sit here and
- 29:57Speaker 3: tell you that I had a good reason for it
- 29:59Speaker 3: back in the day, but I really didn't. I have
- 30:02Speaker 3: no idea why I did that.
- 30:04Speaker 1: By the way, the Chris Berman video it's going it's
- 30:09Speaker 1: still going strong, you know that it is. It's everywhere
- 30:13Speaker 1: I look, Chris Berman trying to pull up his pants,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and I just to me, I want to walk up
- 30:18Speaker 1: behind him and pull him up as far as I can.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Why he just pulls him up just a cinimeter just
- 30:25Speaker 1: drives me nuts. Dude, just please pull him up a
- 30:27Speaker 1: little further. Please, for the love of you know what,
- 30:31Speaker 1: one person texts out, You mean to tell me a
- 30:33Speaker 1: ten dollars pope pad is too pricey for mister fancy
- 30:36Speaker 1: pants and the Pope and for the Pope no less
- 30:40Speaker 1: shame boo this man booo.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I'm with you.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Well, probably because it's just some cheap hat. I'm not
- 30:48Speaker 1: gonna go over there. Listen, I am very I would
- 30:52Speaker 1: consider myself frivolous. I do not just go spend money
- 30:58Speaker 1: for the sake of spending money. I don't. And by
- 31:01Speaker 1: the way, that that game I was trying to think
- 31:03Speaker 1: of earlier I thought about during the brink. It's called
- 31:06Speaker 1: Trivial Pursuit. We didn't you ever play Trivial Pursuit?
- 31:10Speaker 3: I mean, not really, but I'm definitely familiar with it.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Does anybody play board games anymore?
- 31:15Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't think they're nearest common as they used
- 31:19Speaker 3: to be.
- 31:19Speaker 1: But yeah, sure, I don't play. I haven't played a
- 31:22Speaker 1: board game in probably since my kids were little. We
- 31:26Speaker 1: played Monopolies probably the last board game I.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Played now I do feel like there has been a
- 31:30Speaker 3: movement off of board games. People are more apt to
- 31:33Speaker 3: play like card games, like the what's the inappropriate one
- 31:37Speaker 3: where you have the raunchy answers. Sometimes I have no
- 31:41Speaker 3: idea what you're talking about. A person lays down a
- 31:43Speaker 3: card on the table and everybody else puts their card
- 31:46Speaker 3: in to try to get the right answer, or that
- 31:48Speaker 3: makes them laugh the most. Yeah, I feel like we've
- 31:51Speaker 3: gone away that. Wow the crap out of me.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I love your response. Right there.
- 32:00Speaker 1: That was some serious thunder right there. Oh my god.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I literally thought somebody was driving through the building.
- 32:06Speaker 1: See, that's what scares me about this building, because you
- 32:08Speaker 1: know the fact that we've got all this electronics here,
- 32:12Speaker 1: you got the satellite out back. Where is that lightning
- 32:15Speaker 1: going to hit first? Your heartbeat is racing roll? Yeah, absolutely,
- 32:19Speaker 1: that scared that.
- 32:20Speaker 2: That had to have gone over the radio probably, Yeah.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yeah, if y'all heard that thunder just a second ago,
- 32:29Speaker 1: come over to the radio.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Please let me.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I literally jumped. I have no idea what I was
- 32:32Speaker 3: even saying. So let's move on. We're talking about card games.
- 32:36Speaker 3: You were saying this card game you were talking about
- 32:39Speaker 3: moving away from videos. I used to love.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Playing jin rom me the most. I don't know how
- 32:42Speaker 2: to play poker.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Uh.
- 32:44Speaker 1: My favorite board game was probably you Sink My Battleship.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Battleship. Yeah, yeah, that was well that.
- 32:53Speaker 1: I wasn't trying to bring that up, but anyway, I
- 32:57Speaker 1: appreciate that.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, okay.
- 33:01Speaker 1: One person said it's a rich jab at KCD being
- 33:04Speaker 1: high flutin Michael, not an old old man joke. Okay,
- 33:08Speaker 1: thank you. I appreciate that. Michael's school probably dug their
- 33:13Speaker 1: own caves so they didn't have to travel.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Okay, by the way, Maringo High School shut down in
- 33:19Speaker 3: nineteen seventy six, nineteen seventy six, so it's totally gone.
- 33:25Speaker 2: That's a shame. And where they.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Called the cavemen, they were yep.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Wow, that's too bad. That's a shame when you see
- 33:34Speaker 1: old schools like that no longer. Flage A is the
- 33:37Speaker 1: one I have heard all my life, and I think
- 33:40Speaker 1: it was gone when I was a kid, and just
- 33:43Speaker 1: with the incredible athletes that they had there. Card game
- 33:47Speaker 1: Cards against Humanity? Is that what it's called? Card game?
- 33:53Speaker 2: Cards against Humanity?
- 33:55Speaker 1: I've literally never heard of that card game, So okay,
- 34:00Speaker 1: when we come back. I want to talk about this interview.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I will play the interview, and I want to see
- 34:05Speaker 1: how much fun these two guys are going to be.
- 34:07Speaker 1: They are quickly becoming my two favorite players on this
- 34:10Speaker 1: basketball team and the season hasn't even started. So we'll
- 34:13Speaker 1: play that soon as we get back. Stay right there
- 34:15Speaker 1: more just the CAAT's coming right up.
- 34:19Speaker 4: The opportunities on if you find a new way that
- 34:26Speaker 4: you can do it today, that you can make it
- 34:31Speaker 4: all true and you can make it.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I know that's an old song, but man, I do
- 35:07Speaker 1: like the guitar in this, just to let you know.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I mean, that's if you've never heard this as an
- 35:11Speaker 1: old George Harrison song, which is probably of all the Beatles,
- 35:15Speaker 1: he's my favorite, between he and Ringo Star, I don't
- 35:21Speaker 1: but I liked him as individuals. There's only one Beatle
- 35:25Speaker 1: I didn't really care for. Ye Yeah, Elton that's it. Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: the lone lost Beatle, Elton John that's him. You nailed it, man.
- 35:37Speaker 1: As soon as I came.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Out and I was like, what a freaking moron?
- 35:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, all right, I do want to talk
- 35:48Speaker 1: about this because that that that made me laugh.
- 35:50Speaker 2: Uh uh.
- 35:51Speaker 1: This interview that they did between Frank Frank kep Nang
- 35:55Speaker 1: and uh Ousmane and Die was released, and as soon
- 36:00Speaker 1: as I saw it, okay, there's something to it. Now,
- 36:03Speaker 1: I gotta go watch the whole thing. It's really a
- 36:05Speaker 1: fun interview. And the part I want you to play,
- 36:09Speaker 1: justin is the part did you find it by the
- 36:10Speaker 1: way I did?
- 36:11Speaker 2: Okay?
- 36:12Speaker 3: Good?
- 36:13Speaker 1: This to me, this is like you can tell they
- 36:16Speaker 1: have become what seems to be fast friends, And go
- 36:19Speaker 1: ahead and play it and then we'll talk about just
- 36:21Speaker 1: a second.
- 36:23Speaker 5: Can't you got a song? I wasn't thinking about the song.
- 36:28Speaker 5: But I've been preparing for my feet for.
- 36:30Speaker 3: Like three months.
- 36:32Speaker 5: You're walking feet, my walking feet. I've been preparing for
- 36:35Speaker 5: three months.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Are you wearing that suit?
- 36:39Speaker 5: Oh? Hell yeah, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna anything.
- 36:47Speaker 5: I'm not gonna I need rest shoes.
- 36:50Speaker 2: I'm gonna go.
- 36:51Speaker 5: I need to stay tuned for that feet.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I'm just just now I'm dying to know what the
- 36:56Speaker 1: suit is.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Okay.
- 36:57Speaker 1: The fact that the fact that he's so excited and
- 37:00Speaker 1: he's already planned on exactly what he's going to wear
- 37:05Speaker 1: for Big Blue Madness, I think it is awesome.
- 37:09Speaker 2: So I I don't know what the suit is.
- 37:11Speaker 1: And the fact that Frank Kepnank knew it was going
- 37:14Speaker 1: to be this one particular suit and how excited he
- 37:18Speaker 1: got about this suit. It's like, okay, I'm trying to
- 37:22Speaker 1: imagine in my head what it looks like. Do you
- 37:25Speaker 1: can you put in your head?
- 37:27Speaker 2: What what?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Because the way they both reacted about that suit, you
- 37:31Speaker 1: have any idea what it looks like? Should we should
- 37:34Speaker 1: we try to guess what it looks like and then
- 37:37Speaker 1: see what what what? Come back and see uh what
- 37:40Speaker 1: our guess was when it finally happens.
- 37:43Speaker 3: I'm thinking something like blue velvet, yes, with the velvet, yeah,
- 37:49Speaker 3: blue velvet with the like black? What are the things
- 37:53Speaker 3: that go around the neck and come down?
- 37:55Speaker 2: Sequence?
- 37:57Speaker 3: Is that what it's called sequence?
- 37:58Speaker 2: Are you talking about the shiny yes?
- 38:00Speaker 3: No? No, no, like the like the the neck where
- 38:04Speaker 3: you put your tie under. What what would you call that?
- 38:09Speaker 3: Like on your you got one on your shirt?
- 38:12Speaker 2: A collar?
- 38:12Speaker 3: Collar? Okay? So yeah, I'm picturing like a U struggling?
- 38:15Speaker 3: Are you okay today? Stroke?
- 38:18Speaker 1: My gosh, Elton John is part of the Beatles, and
- 38:21Speaker 1: you couldn't think what you put your tie under?
- 38:23Speaker 3: It's called a collar. I'm still scared from this thunder.
- 38:27Speaker 3: But no, I'm picturing like a thick, thick black silk
- 38:32Speaker 3: collar to go with that blue velvet.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Right, That's what I'm thinking. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I'm thinking it's something blue and probably has UK all
- 38:42Speaker 1: over it. It's a custom made suit. It probably didn't
- 38:45Speaker 1: have UK all over it. But you know, I had
- 38:48Speaker 1: a custom jacket made a few years back when I
- 38:51Speaker 1: was a part of that wrestling thing they did over
- 38:54Speaker 1: at the whatever it's called, uh, what's it, mid Ohio
- 38:59Speaker 1: or Ohio that wrestling and I had a royal blue
- 39:04Speaker 1: just the.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Cats custom blazer. Mate.
- 39:08Speaker 1: That's the one and only time I've worn it, and
- 39:11Speaker 1: I've always thought where would I wear it again?
- 39:16Speaker 2: Would I wear it?
- 39:16Speaker 3: Huh? Anywhere?
- 39:18Speaker 2: You think so?
- 39:19Speaker 3: I would look ridiculous. Wear it out to dinner, Wear
- 39:22Speaker 3: it on the backside of Churchill when we're out there
- 39:24Speaker 3: next year.
- 39:25Speaker 1: You know what, That's where I should wear it exactly,
- 39:29Speaker 1: is the backside of Churchill downs Derby Weak and look
- 39:33Speaker 1: absolutely ridiculous. I think that's a fantastic idea that or
- 39:37Speaker 1: I've often thought about, well, maybe I should dress up
- 39:40Speaker 1: and go I've never been to Big Blue Madness. I
- 39:43Speaker 1: just I just I know a lot of people get
- 39:45Speaker 1: into it. I've just never really been into it. Correct
- 39:48Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Isn't that just like an introduction to the team and
- 39:51Speaker 3: a practice and it is, Yeah, you might get a
- 39:56Speaker 3: scrimmage out of it. You get a scrimmage, and hell
- 39:59Speaker 3: is in John you wearing a suit.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Because well he's talking about the blue carp the red carpet,
- 40:06Speaker 1: when well, the blue carpet is what they call it.
- 40:09Speaker 1: But when you come into Reperena, there's a lot of
- 40:11Speaker 1: media taking pictures as the players are coming into Reperena,
- 40:14Speaker 1: and then they do have a stage set up and
- 40:18Speaker 1: to where remember that's what how John wall Kate was introduced,
- 40:21Speaker 1: and that was Big Blue Madness when he did the
- 40:24Speaker 1: Dougie and all that kind of stuff. So that's what
- 40:27Speaker 1: they're doing, so that's how he wants to be introduced.
- 40:29Speaker 1: And then they do have a little scrimmage between uh,
- 40:31Speaker 1: the women have a scrimmage and then the men have
- 40:34Speaker 1: a scrimmage. So it's it's it's it's a fun night.
- 40:36Speaker 1: From what I've seen, I've just never been interested. I mean,
- 40:40Speaker 1: if if I lived in Lexington, i'd probably go, but
- 40:44Speaker 1: since it's an hour and whatever drive over there now
- 40:48Speaker 1: or whatever.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Back, I just like, love me go to the games
- 40:51Speaker 3: and that's enough for me.
- 40:52Speaker 1: I just and I should. I should probably go one time,
- 40:55Speaker 1: but uh, I just I haven't. You've never I have
- 40:59Speaker 1: never been. Yeah, I've never been because before it was
- 41:03Speaker 1: before it was big blue madness, it was called midnight madness,
- 41:06Speaker 1: and that truly when you know, all the people camped
- 41:09Speaker 1: out to get the tickets to go to that, and
- 41:11Speaker 1: it really had to be the stroke of midnight before
- 41:14Speaker 1: the team could come out there. In practice, that's when
- 41:16Speaker 1: it was really fun. I wish it would so do I.
- 41:20Speaker 1: I really do too. And I've always thought that it'd
- 41:23Speaker 1: be a lot of fun. I know a lot of
- 41:26Speaker 1: the season tickets holders wouldn't like this, to have a
- 41:29Speaker 1: game at midnight. I think that would be a lot
- 41:32Speaker 1: of fun because that's what the hockey team has done
- 41:34Speaker 1: in the past, the hockey team for UK, even though
- 41:37Speaker 1: it's a club team, they'll play games at midnight and
- 41:39Speaker 1: that was always a big party scene.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 41:42Speaker 1: But I don't know, let's just do something, do something
- 41:45Speaker 1: with the new regime now they are.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Thinking outside the box.
- 41:50Speaker 3: A whole lot.
- 41:52Speaker 1: So I think you take an exhibition game or one
- 41:55Speaker 1: of the games that you know should be a win
- 41:57Speaker 1: and move it to memorial. Uh the whole doubleheader where
- 42:02Speaker 1: you have UK women play first and the UK men
- 42:05Speaker 1: play second at Reparina, I think that would be a
- 42:08Speaker 1: huge game. I just think outside the box and do
- 42:12Speaker 1: one of these things. But uh yeah, but going back
- 42:15Speaker 1: to uh uh Inde's suit, I just that's the one
- 42:21Speaker 1: thing I think everybody's going to be waiting on.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It's like, Okay, you got to tell me what the
- 42:26Speaker 3: suit is. I can't wait to see it, and it'll
- 42:28Speaker 3: be a big deal. So hopefully the worth the wait
- 42:31Speaker 3: is worth the role war.
- 42:33Speaker 1: By the way, uh with the big blue medium madness,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I'm noticing a lot of guys posting on social media
- 42:42Speaker 1: that they're really taking the serious.
- 42:44Speaker 3: You're working out? Yeah, oh boy. Steven Peak and Jack
- 42:48Speaker 3: Pilgrim have been doing six thirty am workouts and shoot
- 42:52Speaker 3: a rounds.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Is it Jack Pilgrim or is it?
- 42:55Speaker 3: Uh? Who was it?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Did you say?
- 42:58Speaker 3: I want to say it was Jack Pilgrim.
- 43:00Speaker 1: But Pilgrim lives in Lexington and Peak is here in Louisville.
- 43:05Speaker 3: He goes to Lexington all the time. Oh he does okay?
- 43:08Speaker 3: Well I uh iuh man, that's tough all right?
- 43:12Speaker 2: Then?
- 43:13Speaker 1: Well, I guess my wife was asking me, are you
- 43:15Speaker 1: going to get yourself in shape? Was it really okay?
- 43:20Speaker 1: I thought it was? Uh uh Nick Rouse.
- 43:22Speaker 3: They did two hours of drills and pickup games? Wow?
- 43:28Speaker 2: And how did they feel the next day? And are
- 43:33Speaker 2: they doing this consistently?
- 43:34Speaker 1: I uh, there were a couple other guys that are
- 43:37Speaker 1: out there out there working out to get this going.
- 43:40Speaker 1: I think this is great. This needs to be a
- 43:43Speaker 1: thing every year. Let's get to back to the text line.
- 43:46Speaker 1: One John said, Uh, Cards against Humanity is that crazy game?
- 43:51Speaker 1: Justin Also, a lot of people are playing games on
- 43:54Speaker 1: their app together.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Really, that's a big thing in our family. Like Ma,
- 44:02Speaker 3: my mom will break out a game on her phone
- 44:04Speaker 3: and then my nephews and my niece are all like, well,
- 44:06Speaker 3: let me play, and then they all try to beat
- 44:08Speaker 3: each other scores on.
- 44:10Speaker 2: The same phone. Okay, I thought they were separate.
- 44:13Speaker 1: One My wife and I will play the board game
- 44:17Speaker 1: Sorry on our phones against each other at the restaurant
- 44:20Speaker 1: while we wait for our food. I didn't know you
- 44:24Speaker 1: could play Sorry on your phone. I've never played.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I don't know how it evens. Do you know I
- 44:30Speaker 1: have never played sorry?
- 44:32Speaker 2: Is it really?
- 44:33Speaker 3: Oh?
- 44:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I don't even know how to play it.
- 44:36Speaker 1: So it's just one of those things that I don't know.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Maybe one day I'll learn. Uh, listen, how much time
- 44:42Speaker 1: would we have?
- 44:43Speaker 3: Oh? We have any time? All right? No?
- 44:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we got no time? So all right, we
- 44:48Speaker 1: got to take a break. Hour two coming up. When
- 44:50Speaker 1: we come back, I do want to talk about a
- 44:54Speaker 1: football stadium that is opening up this year, a new
- 44:57Speaker 1: college football stadium, and is this the trend? As well
- 45:00Speaker 1: as who's going to be the go to shooter this
- 45:03Speaker 1: year for UK basketball? Is it? Is it going to
- 45:07Speaker 1: be one or two players or more? Who is it
- 45:11Speaker 1: going to be? So we'll talk about that because Mark
- 45:13Speaker 1: Pope gave us a little bit of a hint there,
- 45:15Speaker 1: as well as this whole five on five thing, you
- 45:17Speaker 1: know we talked about in cross talk. It's getting crazier
- 45:20Speaker 1: and crazier. So stay right there. Hour two of Just
- 45:23Speaker 1: the Cats coming right out.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 45:46Speaker 1: All right, our number two on this Wednesday. Hope everybody's
- 45:49Speaker 1: safe out there. This rain is just coming down, but
- 45:52Speaker 1: as we got a whole bunch of we haven't had
- 45:54Speaker 1: any more weather alerts, have we since that last one?
- 45:57Speaker 3: Uh? Not that I've heard, but I'm sure there's been
- 45:59Speaker 3: a couple. And by the way, I didn't realize I had.
- 46:01Speaker 3: You viewed it during the break there, so you didn't
- 46:04Speaker 3: even hear the two loud, loud cracks of thunder that
- 46:06Speaker 3: rivaled I. No, I didn't hear a thing. But it's
- 46:10Speaker 3: have you ever seen the movie Matilda? No?
- 46:14Speaker 2: Wait, is that what? Danny DeVito? Yeah? And the little
- 46:18Speaker 2: Girl that was in a bunch of movies.
- 46:20Speaker 3: So you know the part where she's at Miss trunch
- 46:22Speaker 3: Bull's house and she's making everything go crazy. She's like
- 46:25Speaker 3: throwing the javelin and the balls at her and eventually
- 46:28Speaker 3: Miss trunch Bull's like, leave me alone. That's kind of
- 46:31Speaker 3: how I feel about this thunder this morning.
- 46:33Speaker 1: I'm just really wait, wait, wait, wait wait, But you
- 46:36Speaker 1: love thunder, though, why why are you seeing this already?
- 46:39Speaker 1: That's uh, well, that's that's news to me in the
- 46:41Speaker 1: first time.
- 46:42Speaker 3: I do love thunder, but when it's all happening right
- 46:45Speaker 3: outside my window and I don't have the ability to
- 46:48Speaker 3: just stop doing this show and watch them turn around.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Then I don't care much for thunder anymore. Yeah.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Well, I mean here's what I decided for everybody that
- 46:56Speaker 1: didn't know. I decided to stay at my house today
- 46:58Speaker 1: because of the other and I have an absolute river
- 47:04Speaker 1: going through my backyard right now.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it is so much water going through it.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's just unbelievable mountain and uh, it's just
- 47:13Speaker 1: coming right through Prospect and and points of beyond through
- 47:19Speaker 1: Oldham County and it's just crazy. Oh really that's the
- 47:25Speaker 1: bad part because okay, well tomorrow I needed to clear
- 47:29Speaker 1: off for it just a little bit in the morning.
- 47:31Speaker 1: But anyway, I did like how Universit Kentucky women's basketball
- 47:36Speaker 1: released their SEC schedule.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Did you I don't know if you saw the video
- 47:40Speaker 2: or not. It's pretty cool.
- 47:42Speaker 1: So, uh, they played a game of heads up where
- 47:47Speaker 1: they would guess what team that they were playing. So
- 47:51Speaker 1: they'd put the you know, the phone up and it
- 47:53Speaker 1: would have the name of the school and then all
- 47:55Speaker 1: the other players would do a gesture. Have you ever
- 47:58Speaker 1: played that before? It's kind of fun. It's kind of
- 48:00Speaker 1: like charades. But that's what they did for the reveal.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Again. Another hit by.
- 48:06Speaker 1: The media Social Media UK, and I thought it was
- 48:09Speaker 1: fun to watch to see them go through the entire schedule.
- 48:14Speaker 3: It's pretty hilarious that the first one was Florida. That
- 48:17Speaker 3: one was easy. Yeah, everybody just did the motion.
- 48:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Which which one do you think is the
- 48:24Speaker 1: hardest to come up with?
- 48:27Speaker 3: To me? Probably South Carolina? Right, That's exactly it. Yes,
- 48:32Speaker 3: it's a game cock. How do you come up? I mean,
- 48:37Speaker 3: there's ways to do it.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm laughing.
- 48:41Speaker 3: I bet Why did I just ask that question? I
- 48:44Speaker 3: bet South Carolina doesn't make it in this video?
- 48:47Speaker 5: Oh?
- 48:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, I just yeah, I just I am
- 48:58Speaker 1: so sorry I asked that question right there. Okay, well,
- 49:01Speaker 1: let's just move on to something completely else after that.
- 49:05Speaker 1: I just, ah, geez man, how do I get myself?
- 49:09Speaker 1: I have dug a hole right now. I don't know
- 49:11Speaker 1: how to get out of it. All right, let's talk
- 49:13Speaker 1: about this universe of Kentucky. Deputy Deputy Athletic Director Mark
- 49:19Speaker 1: Hill decided to announced yesterday that he's.
- 49:22Speaker 3: Taking a job with BYU. How do you like that?
- 49:26Speaker 1: I mean, you kind of felt like that if Mark Hill,
- 49:29Speaker 1: because you know he had been at UK. If you
- 49:32Speaker 1: don't know who Mark Hill is. You'd probably recognize his face.
- 49:36Speaker 1: He where Mitch Barnho. Stopped laughing because you're gonna get
- 49:40Speaker 1: me so distracted, it's not even funny. Okay, stop laughing,
- 49:43Speaker 1: you're making me distracted. Anyway, we cannot talk about that
- 49:48Speaker 1: subject anymore. Okay, just let's just I just I just
- 49:51Speaker 1: passed the part in the video or they did it.
- 49:55Speaker 1: They almost just skipped right over it. Oh, of course
- 49:58Speaker 1: they did. And I mean it would be worse if
- 50:02Speaker 1: it was the men's basketball team doing this, because you
- 50:05Speaker 1: know that would come up. But anyway, at least there's
- 50:07Speaker 1: a little dignity with the women's basketball team. But yeah,
- 50:12Speaker 1: Mark Hill had been at UK for twenty seven years, exactly,
- 50:19Speaker 1: almost thirty years. I listen. I always like Mark. Mark
- 50:23Speaker 1: was always very nice to me, and I consider him
- 50:27Speaker 1: a friend. I'm disappointed to see him leave him but
- 50:30Speaker 1: she kind of got the feeling that if he did
- 50:33Speaker 1: not replace Mitch Barnhardt, you kind of knew he wouldn't
- 50:37Speaker 1: be there much longer.
- 50:38Speaker 3: It feels like the Boston College thing, right, like it
- 50:41Speaker 3: just get rid of everybody that was attached to the
- 50:43Speaker 3: last administration and let's it start all in.
- 50:46Speaker 1: But I don't really think that's the case with Jay
- 50:48Speaker 1: Batt though. I don't think he's encouraging or trying to
- 50:53Speaker 1: push out anybody. I just think that it's happening on
- 50:57Speaker 1: their own. You know, anytime there is a change in leadership,
- 51:02Speaker 1: everybody that was used to are accustomed to a different
- 51:05Speaker 1: style of leadership. They're just like, yeah, this is different.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I don't feel like I'm a part of this, and
- 51:10Speaker 1: they just they're used in accustomed to something else, completely different,
- 51:14Speaker 1: so they decided to go somewhere else. But I did
- 51:16Speaker 1: find it interesting that of all places to go is BYU.
- 51:21Speaker 1: I mean, what's going on between BYU and UK?
- 51:24Speaker 3: I ask how many flip flops have they made amongst those.
- 51:28Speaker 1: Two schools exactly? It's really course. You know, Mark Pope
- 51:32Speaker 1: came from BYU. You had the one player that came
- 51:35Speaker 1: from BYU goes back to BUYU.
- 51:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Colin Chandler.
- 51:39Speaker 1: And now you've got Mark Hill, the deputy, the number
- 51:42Speaker 1: two guy under the athletic department, going out from UK
- 51:45Speaker 1: going to BYU, and just a lot of connections here
- 51:48Speaker 1: that just I've never seen this before. But I do
- 51:52Speaker 1: want to wish him the best and he'll he'll be
- 51:54Speaker 1: sorely missed, but you kind of knew it'd probably come
- 51:58Speaker 1: since he didn't get the job.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I wasn't surprised to see the news yesterday.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, let's talk about, uh, the Purdue athletic
- 52:07Speaker 1: director Tommy McClellan. Do you like the fact that he
- 52:12Speaker 1: kind of came back from his comments and how has
- 52:16Speaker 1: now apologized for the if you don't want to win championships.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Go to IU.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Should he have apologized?
- 52:26Speaker 3: Whah? Because rivalry and he but he sounded like a
- 52:30Speaker 3: complete moron. I mean even I went on Twitter that day,
- 52:34Speaker 3: even Purdue fans are like, what are you doing? Man? Like,
- 52:38Speaker 3: why are you saying that when everything you just said
- 52:42Speaker 3: is factually untrue? I mean, Purdue fans were ticked off
- 52:45Speaker 3: at this dude. It wasn't It wasn't just Indiana fans,
- 52:48Speaker 3: it was Purdue fans as well. So yeah, he he
- 52:51Speaker 3: definitely had to do something. The one part about it
- 52:54Speaker 3: is when he was on the Pat McAfee show and
- 52:56Speaker 3: he said, yeah, it was completely off script. I just
- 53:00Speaker 3: threw it in there. But it's like, if you go
- 53:02Speaker 3: back and rewatch the video, he's staring down at his
- 53:05Speaker 3: notes the whole time.
- 53:06Speaker 1: It was not off script. That was in your notes, buddy.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Oh really, so I hadn't seen that part of it.
- 53:13Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 53:14Speaker 1: I don't think you go back and apologize it's a rivalry.
- 53:17Speaker 2: You made the dumb comment.
- 53:19Speaker 1: You'll leave it alone because now he's getting criticized all
- 53:22Speaker 1: over again. I think you just leave it once you
- 53:26Speaker 1: make a dumb comment. You know, if somebody said to
- 53:29Speaker 1: me their favorite beatle is Elton John, I think you
- 53:34Speaker 1: just leave it alone. You don't go back and say,
- 53:36Speaker 1: oh I didn't mean to say that.
- 53:38Speaker 3: You just leave it. Yeah, yeah, dah, yeah, I hear you. Okay, fine,
- 53:45Speaker 3: did you see Signetti was asked about it though? Oh no,
- 53:48Speaker 3: I did not see that. Okay, they asked him. They
- 53:51Speaker 3: were like, yeah, I'm sure you saw the comments from
- 53:53Speaker 3: Produce ad earlier this week. I was just just wondering
- 53:56Speaker 3: if you had any comments on it. And Signetti gives
- 53:59Speaker 3: his smug look that you see on the sideline all
- 54:01Speaker 3: the time, and he just goes, not really, AKA, AKA,
- 54:06Speaker 3: we'll talk about it when we beat their ass seventy
- 54:08Speaker 3: seven to nothing. Oh he said that, No, but that
- 54:13Speaker 3: that was basically like that's probably what he was that
- 54:15Speaker 3: was the look he was insinuating, like, we'll just kill
- 54:17Speaker 3: them this upcoming year and it's gonna be all good. Well,
- 54:21Speaker 3: and they will and it won't even be closed. You
- 54:24Speaker 3: know what the score is perdue Indiana two years under
- 54:27Speaker 3: signetty total score?
- 54:29Speaker 2: Oh no, it's probably two hundred and fifty to seven.
- 54:32Speaker 3: One two to three.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Wow, that's pretty bad. Yeah, that's just I don't know
- 54:39Speaker 1: how you slip a comment like that. I really don't.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Even if it wasn't off script, you don't say something
- 54:46Speaker 1: like that. Yes, your rivals with them, but come on that.
- 54:50Speaker 1: That to me, that's just locker room material for Indiana.
- 54:56Speaker 3: And we didn't need it against those jokesters, but we'll
- 54:59Speaker 3: take it.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Oh, you're going to get it even more this year.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I mean, I really believe they're going to punish them
- 55:04Speaker 1: even more after that comment. That is the absolute worst
- 55:08Speaker 1: way to come into a new job is want to
- 55:10Speaker 1: say something like that.
- 55:11Speaker 3: When I say seventy seven to nothing, I'm dead serious
- 55:14Speaker 3: with that prediction.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Are you really?
- 55:16Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah?
- 55:17Speaker 2: Are they that bad?
- 55:18Speaker 3: Oh? They're horrible?
- 55:19Speaker 2: So they've fallen that much since Jeff Brown left to
- 55:22Speaker 2: not done.
- 55:23Speaker 3: They've maybe won four games since Jeff Brown. Wow, they've
- 55:27Speaker 3: been awful. See that's the kind of situation.
- 55:30Speaker 1: I'd like to ask the former coaches what do they
- 55:32Speaker 1: think about that all the work they did it because
- 55:34Speaker 1: I know I heard it from Rich Brooks that he
- 55:36Speaker 1: was so disappointed when all the work he did had
- 55:39Speaker 1: the team on the rise at us Kentucky, only to
- 55:42Speaker 1: have Joker Phillips come in here and just just throw
- 55:45Speaker 1: it back down, probably worse than it was before. And
- 55:48Speaker 1: I always felt bad for Coach Brooks from that standpoint
- 55:51Speaker 1: because you could just see it. He didn't have to
- 55:54Speaker 1: say anything. You could see it in his eyes, the
- 55:57Speaker 1: disappointment that he had on all that work. And I
- 56:01Speaker 1: wonder if Jeff Brown's kind of the same way. But
- 56:04Speaker 1: I don't know if you saw this or not, but
- 56:05Speaker 1: the PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp officially announced that there
- 56:11Speaker 1: will be no merger between the PGA and Live. No.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I mean it's kind of easy. Well, you know, there's
- 56:19Speaker 1: been talked about the last two or three years.
- 56:22Speaker 3: I never thought that actually had a chance.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Really, and now with all the financial issues that they're
- 56:27Speaker 1: having between Live, it's just like, why would they merge
- 56:32Speaker 1: now and save Live? So to me, that's an easy say,
- 56:37Speaker 1: and I wouldn't be surprised by it either. Why would
- 56:39Speaker 1: they merge at.
- 56:40Speaker 3: This point, there's no point doing that. Yeah. Yeah.
- 56:44Speaker 1: By the way, I was trying to lead that into
- 56:45Speaker 1: a segue about a story you had from Monday.
- 56:49Speaker 3: Oh about the golf teater.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Did you talk about it on your show this morning?
- 56:53Speaker 4: Oh?
- 56:53Speaker 3: You did?
- 56:53Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, okay, So everybody kind of knows that story.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Just to me, that's the crazy story where a guy
- 57:01Speaker 1: gets up in the morning and then puts a hole,
- 57:03Speaker 1: a ball in the hole, and then acts like he
- 57:05Speaker 1: hit I just you know, he's been banned from that club. Now, yeah,
- 57:09Speaker 1: well he did it himself though, yes, I mean it
- 57:12Speaker 1: was gonna happen probably regardless, but he was he saw
- 57:15Speaker 1: the foresight and just did it himself.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Said I'm I'm gonna revoke my membership.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I just I don't get that. I don't know what
- 57:22Speaker 2: was the prize anyway, I.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Don't Yeah, you know, I don't know, but it was
- 57:26Speaker 3: so they had a hole in one pot and it
- 57:28Speaker 3: was I mean, those member tournaments they throw around a
- 57:31Speaker 3: lot of money, so I would guess it was probably
- 57:35Speaker 3: ten grand. Oh my gosh, are you kidding me. I mean,
- 57:39Speaker 3: that's just that's just a guess. But yeah, I mean,
- 57:41Speaker 3: and then for him to come out and apologize, which
- 57:44Speaker 3: you rightfully so you should apologize, but to then say
- 57:48Speaker 3: in that statement that there was.
- 57:49Speaker 2: No motivation for it, Yeah there was? What, Yeah, there
- 57:53Speaker 2: was motivation?
- 57:56Speaker 3: Motivation. Yeah.
- 57:57Speaker 1: Did the fisherman that put weights and fish did they
- 58:00Speaker 1: ever apologize? I know they had to go to I've
- 58:04Speaker 1: never followed up what really happened to those guys, but
- 58:08Speaker 1: I guess there was.
- 58:09Speaker 3: According to John on the text line, there was another
- 58:12Speaker 3: fish cheating story this year. Really, I just I don't
- 58:18Speaker 3: I just I don't understand the concept of competing and
- 58:23Speaker 3: then cheating to get the win. Like maybe I'm crazy,
- 58:26Speaker 3: maybe I'm alone in that, but I just I've never
- 58:29Speaker 3: had the mindset of, well, how can I cheat so
- 58:31Speaker 3: I can win? That's that can't be said.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm with it right there. And because you're going
- 58:38Speaker 1: to get caught more times than not, you're going to
- 58:41Speaker 1: get caught. I mean I would I would put up there.
- 58:44Speaker 1: And maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm way off base with this.
- 58:46Speaker 1: I would say ninety percent of the time when you
- 58:48Speaker 1: do something like this, you're going to get caught.
- 58:51Speaker 2: Is that too hot?
- 58:51Speaker 3: No, I'd say that's about right.
- 58:53Speaker 2: I do too.
- 58:54Speaker 1: And it just seems like with with everyone that has
- 58:57Speaker 1: a camera around their house today. Everybody does, and you know,
- 59:02Speaker 1: it's amazing. We were talking about last week with all
- 59:04Speaker 1: the cameras they are setting up down in Saint Petersburg, Florida,
- 59:06Speaker 1: Tampa Bay area and people are complaining about It's like, well,
- 59:09Speaker 1: wait a minute, why are you complaining about the city
- 59:12Speaker 1: doing this when basically every single house on streets today
- 59:17Speaker 1: has a camera on their front door.
- 59:20Speaker 3: But that's for the houses, that's for their protection and
- 59:23Speaker 3: for their convenience to see when somebody's there. You don't
- 59:26Speaker 3: think the cameras on streets are for their protection. I
- 59:29Speaker 3: don't know. I think the are you I assume you're
- 59:31Speaker 3: talking about the flock cameras, correct, I just I think
- 59:34Speaker 3: they're an invasion of privacy, to be honest with you.
- 59:37Speaker 1: And so the the the ring camera that everybody has
- 59:41Speaker 1: on their front door is not an invasion of privacy
- 59:44Speaker 1: because I'm driving down the street and it'll have me
- 59:47Speaker 1: going down the street on a public street.
- 59:50Speaker 3: Yeah. The purpose of a ring though, isn't to invade
- 59:52Speaker 3: your privacy. It's to keep the homeowner safe.
- 59:55Speaker 1: And but that's how they caught this guy cheating on
- 59:57Speaker 1: the golf course. It's because of the camera the his garage.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: No, that's all.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: That's an invasion privacy right there.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: I think the flock cameras, the ones they're putting up now,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: I think those are an invasion of privacy. I mean
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: some of the stories, Like I read a story last
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: week about a guy from Wisconsin who went to Michigan
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: to buy legal weed that he could buy in Michigan,
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: and they tracked him all the way from his house
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: to Michigan and then from Michigan all the way back
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: to Wisconsin and arrested him in the second he got
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: back from south to Holy Cow. That's that You wouldn't
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: know that he was doing that without flockcam. Yes, but
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: don't you want that? No, because that guy is not
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: an issue. That guy just wants to go home and
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: get high, like I have no issue with.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: What do you think about the Colorado woman that had
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: her fifth grader arrested because he would not take a
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: first day of school picture. Wait, really, I'm totally serious
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Now that was all in joke, but yes, he called
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: I think a friend with the police and had him
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: literally arrested, and they have pictures of him getting arrested
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: with handcuffs behind his back, being put in the backseat
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: of a car.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: I thought it was awesome.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: It was it a first grader.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: I thought it was a fifth grader. Fifth grader.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: A fifth grader, Yeah, I thought. I think that's hilarious.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: So now from now on, his fifth grade pictures will
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: be of him getting arrested on the first day of school.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: I loved it.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: From here on out, I don't know.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: He might insist, well, Mom, I want to get arrested,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: and then she the poor kids got to get arrested
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: every single year the rest of his career in school.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: I think it's funny.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: Sounds like he's up to no good. Yeah.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Probably so.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: By the way, there's there's a podcast and I've never
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: listened to it. It's called rep to No Good. Yeah,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: it's gotta be the greatest name who's in it? Uh?
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: You got Matt Sack, you got Bradley Wildcat Tongue, and
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: then Big Blue Bud. How do you know this because
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: I listen to it? You do? Yeah? Those I love
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: all four of those guys. I think they do a
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: great job. It just it started out as just to
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: so they were good friends and they were like, oh,
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: let's do a podcast, and then it's grown into I
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: think it's grown into something way bigger than they ever thought. Wow, Okay,
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: they do a good job. You'll have to check it
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: out sometimes, do they?
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Okay, well, maybe they should come on with me sometime
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: or fill in for me on the radio.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Hosts did Kentucky Roll Call several times?
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Have they really?
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Okay, well, then they're bigger than I am, So I
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: just I apologize. I've never heard it, and uh I'm
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: just a little pee on here. Maybe they'll let me
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: be a guest host on this.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: They would, I think they would gladly fill.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: In, would they really?
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a few people I really like filling in
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: for me, and uh incause you know, uh Van Hiles
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: and Anthony White are two of my favorites right there.
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: So but uh, anyway, I just think that's fun.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Uh well, we can't do it now because we got
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: to take a break. But when we come back, I
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: want to talk about what Mark Pope was saying. You know,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: a couple more comments that he made on Field of
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: sixty eight the other day that it's like, oh boy,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: because I didn't listen to the whole thing.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: I just wanted to hear the bits and pieces.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: And now more bits and pieces are coming out, and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: he starts talking about how well a shooting team this
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: team is, and I'm like, oh, please, don't go down
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: that path again. But there was an interesting part that
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: he said that I kind of like, so, but is
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: that really the only answer. So we'll talk about that
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: as soon as we get back. Stay right there or
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: guess the CAATs coming right out.
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: There is nothing that is wrong. I wanted you to
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: stay here with me. I know you've got somewhere to go,
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: won't you make yourself.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Fo two four one four fifty one text in on
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: the Whiskey Thief text line, Uh, let's see here. One
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: person said, it's obvious talking about the When's basketball team
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: when they were playing a game of heads up and
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: we couldn't figure a way to do South Carolina. He says,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: it's obvious you struck like a rooster. What on earth
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: were you thinking about? Hmmm, exactly what you think we
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: were thinking about? Yah?
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Yeah, well exactly. I mean, I'm clearly I am guilty, guilty,
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: guilty right there.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I mean, just like, come on, it's a it's all.
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: Just didn't they name him the roosters? Then why do
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: they have to name them the other mascot?
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Imagine the South Carolina roosters. That Actually that slaps. I
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: kind of liked it. What's wrong with that?
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Forty eight handly said Mark Twain famously addressed cheating in
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: his jumping frog of Calavere's County, poured a load of
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: buckshot down the favorite throat and when they poked him,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: he dwelt. I have no idea what he's talking about that,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: but okay, that's nice that they did, so I don't know. So.
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: By the way, speaking forty eight handly of horse racing,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: did you see one particular owner. Let me get to
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: his name.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: His name is.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Travis Borisma. Travis Borisma. He spent last two days at
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the Saratoga yearling Sale. So we're talking about one year
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: old race horses that you have no idea if they'll
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: even get to the track or not, have yet to
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: be broken or anything. This one individual spit twenty one
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: point six million dollars. Excuse me, you're exactly how hardy
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: horses I believe it was like nine horses, and unfortunately
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: I don't know where they went. I had him up
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: here and uh, yeah, he spent that much on horses.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Can you imagine? And I saw that and I couldn't
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: believe it, and it's like, what the heck is this
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: guy doing.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: I'm not convinced I could buy twenty one dollars and
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: sixty cents worth of horses.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Really well, it was an amazing, amazing amount. Now here's
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: the thing about it. He he owns a company we
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: all kind of know the name of. He owns Dutch
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Brothers Coffee. Have you been to Dutch Brothers yet they've
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: got I think they've got two here in Louisville now.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: And clearly it's because of the of being close proximity
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: to Churchill Downs and being in Kentucky. And plus I
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: believe he just bought a horse farm the last couple
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: of years, I believe building nine or ten horses. He's
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: spent four point two million dollars on one horse, three
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: million on another, one, two million on another one, one
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: million on another one. It was just amazing the amount
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: of money he was spending on horses. But yeah, it's
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: the owner of Dutch Brother's coffee. So, my gosh, I
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: had no idea these coffee places could make that kind
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: of money.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: The guy's evidently worth three point eight.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Billion dollars Jesus all on a coffee company, of all things.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: So I just like congratulate relations. I just I again,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: I go back to my point from yesterday. Twenty one
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: million dollars and you're only buying that amount. I would
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: spend half that money, up a quarter of that money,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: and still come away ten or fifteen horses, and I think.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: Are really nice, right, Yeah, itsyway. Now, maybe it was
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: one of those things where he got auctioned up, you know,
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: like they do in storage wars. You got annoying Yeah,
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: oh that oh my god. I mean they bid him
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: up just because he's annoying as hell. So maybe that's all.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Really yeah maybe so I don't know, But I because
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you got a lot of egos.
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: At that sale.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I mean big, big egos up at Saratoga, New York.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: But all right, who do you think is going to
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: be as far as the upcoming basketball season, Who in
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: your mind is going to be the go to player
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: for that last second shot that you need to win?
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Do you do you have any buying mind because two
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: come to mind for me, Well, maybe three come to
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: mind with me. Is it really all right?
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: Who? See?
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: That's what Mark Pope said, And I'm thinking, well.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: Unless you need a baseball pass all the way down
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: the floor, then maybe it's Malaca boy.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: That was a great shot. That was that was a
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: perfect pass, a great shot. And course that that got
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: a name for him. So uh uh, but I don't know.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I mean probably monchillovit is one, but then you got
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the two other ones between Cam Williams and Alex Wilkins.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Now, are you needing a three? I assume in this situation. Yeah,
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: absolutely you need a three because I was gonna say,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: I mean you could put the ball in Zoom's hands
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: and just let him atake.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Oh absolutely, yeah, absolutely, And I think that's a great
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: point as well. But no, if you need if you
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: need a shot to meet that has to go up quickly,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: you don't have enough time to attack. Uh. I think
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: you're right. I think mom Chilovich is is the guy.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: But and according to mom Chilvid, he's just he savors
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: those moments. From what I'm learning, But who's your number
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: two guy? Is it?
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: Alex Wilkins or is it Cam Williams.
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: I would probably go right now with Cam Williams just
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: because I know his game better and I know what
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: he's capable of, Whereas I really don't have an understanding
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: of that just yet with Wilkins, so I don't have
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: the same sort of trust in his shooting abilities that
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: I do with with Cam right now.
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: Not yet. But I think we will be though.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: I think we quickly will find out and he's he's
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: going to be.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: I predict it, just like I predicted last year, and
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: unfortunately the injury kind of dampened that. I still predict
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Cam Williams is going to be a fan favorite. But
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I really predict there's going to be a few players
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: on this team that are gonna this team is going
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: to be fan favorites. You know, I was talking about
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: kept Nang and Uh and Die earlier. I think they
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: will definitely be for those sound bites a lot of
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: fun because you know, they got those thick accents. I
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: just there's something about that, and then they smile and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: laugh and have fun combination. I think that's why I'm
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: so attracted to wu orb Zoo because the fact he's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: got that thick polish accent, and then on top of all,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: he says something funny. I think it makes it even funnier.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: But I think there's gonna be several players on this
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: team that was obviously is.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: Gonna be Zoom Cam Williams.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I even think Mason Williams it's gonna be somewhat of
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: a fan favorite. Why do you shake your head?
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: No, I'm not shaking my head. No, it's more of
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: a we'll we'll see type of thing. I don't. I
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: don't think in his freshman year he's gonna be elevated
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: to a guy that's taking the game winning shot.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: I just no, no, no, no, I'm not talking. I'm
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: talking about fan favorites, not game winning shots.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, well that's the thing. I don't. You could
- 1:11:56Speaker 3: say every single player on this team, because BBN is
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: crazy about their basketball, so Alexai Morenos, the other one
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: I left, They're gonna they're gonna like a good majority
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: of the players on this team. But there is always
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: it seems like on some teams there's one or two
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: players they really favor more than the other. And I
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: really think on this team, I think this could be
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: multiple players. I bet it'll be Milan.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: Really yeah, yeah, And I have a hard time debating
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: that with you because I kind of agree with you.
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: But I don't know if you saw this or not.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Northwestern University know that's been the big talk up in
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: Chicago just completed their eight hundred and seventy five million
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: dollars football stadium.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: Out time here's longer than Vanderbilt.
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: You think so, well, I mean, they started from scratching.
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: It should have taken longer. Vanderbilt was a renovation, but
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: this one that they built from ground up. Now, their
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: last stadium was forty seven It held forty seven thousand fans.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: This one is only thirty five thousand fans, twelve thousand less.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: And they made the bold statement that.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Saying it's the worst seat is about one hundred and
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: thirty six feet from the sidelines. The worst seat, well,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I mean, when you're talking about a thirty seven thousand,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: thirty five thousand seat stadium, that doesn't surprise me. No,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: And there's really not a bad seat in the entire stadium,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: but it does.
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: Look like every seat's got a great sightline. Yeah, well exactly.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: And so they're bragging about their are boasting their field
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: level suites, They got a ten thousand square foot scoreboard,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: and that every single seat in.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: The stadium is covered.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Now, it's still they'll still get wet out there, Yeah,
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: I mean the wind is blowing or anything like that.
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Now, my question to you, justin.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: As a recruit, you go look at a stadium like
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: Northwestern that only seats thirty five thousand, Is that a
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: stadium that you really want to go play if you're
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: a really good athlete and they're trying to create national
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: championship caliber teams. I mean, I'm kind of surprised that
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: they're boasting this as a only a thirty five thousand
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: seat stadium. If I'm a great athlete, I want to
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: go to the biggest stadium out there.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: Yeah. But i mean, obviously, if you're a great athlete,
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: you also have to be wicked smart to get in
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: a Northwestern.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Oh okay, so you think Diego Pavia is wicked smart
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: and got into Vanderbilt.
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: Doesn't seem like he is, does it.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: If they're a great athlete, they want him to go
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: to the school, they're going to get in school.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Oh, they'll find a way.
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Now for me, it's not it's not so much
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: about the stadium size. It's about you're in Northwestern, Like what,
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: I don't want to play at Northwestern. That would be
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: a That's one of those schools that would be a
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: really really hard sell for me if I was a
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: big time recruit. Why Cause it's just I don't I
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: don't know. When I think of Northwestern, I just think
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: of incompetency.
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: What.
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: I just feel like they're incompetent everything they've made. Didn't
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: they just make the tournament in basketball for the first
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: time like two years ago. Yeah, I mean, Northwestern athletics
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: doesn't ever get.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: So they don't care.
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: In other words, so them building a new stadium, they
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: really it's proving to you they ever really care about athles.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: No.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: I think they're making a a big push in athletics.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: I just don't think they've gotten to that point yet.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: I mean, but I think this new stadium is a
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: great first step. They got a from my understanding, they
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: got a pretty big donation as well, five million, I
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: want to say towards ni R. Also, they're gonna get
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: to the point where they're at least competing. But I
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: don't expect Northwestern to ever be a world beater.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: No, No, especially when they're only building a stadium that
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: seats thirty five thousand people, But the athletes want to
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: go to the big stadium.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: But there is something to be said for a nice
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: new stadium regardless of the size. That means you're gonna
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: have great locker rooms. You've probably got great facilities within
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: that stadium. So that part of it would be would
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: be pretty awesome.
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Because it always amazed me. I'll talk out of both
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: sides of my mouth right now. Let's turn it over
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: to basketball. It always amazed me how a guy would
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: want to go if it's if it's between UK and Duke,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: Why would you pick.
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: Duke over UK?
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: When you go to Repperina and see how big a
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: place that is, and can you imagine twenty some one
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: thousand fans yelling at you the entire game, rooting you on.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: And then you go look at Cameron Indoor and it
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: only seats what eight thousand people? Yeah, but it's more
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: why would you? Okay, So that's the that's the argument
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: for Northwestern. Then it's more intimate, So you'd think a
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: more intimate place is somewhere you would rather play than
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: a large Kansas.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: Rep arena.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: If I have the guarantee that those games are gonna
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: be sold out, Yes, But at Northwestern, even though it's
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: only thirty seven thousand seats, they won't sell out games.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: So that that to me doesn't make it as intimate
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: unless the stadium's full. Whereas at Cameron Indoor they're selling
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: out every single game. I understand, but they don't have
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: as many tickets to sell out every single game. Right.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: Well, to me, if if you k is selling out
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: every single let's make everything even if UK is selling
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: out every single game and Duke is selling out every
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: single game, where would you rather play every home game?
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: It's a coin.
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: To me, it's a no brainer.
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: Well that's because you're a Kentucky fan.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: But to me, it's it's alright, let's make it Kansas.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Then if it's Kansas, it's a it's a no brainer
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: to me. If it's Kansas, I'm going to the place
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: that's bigger. I would rather play at Arkansas. I would
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: rather play at Bud Walton Arena than I would Cameron
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Indoor because those people are rabbit fans about basketball. If
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: you're a recruit, you would go to Arkansas over Duke. Okay,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: Kansas I'd go to Kansas over Duke. I'd go to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: North Carolina over Duke.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: It's a wild thing to say.
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: I don't know why it's wild because.
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: Justlike Duke, and as much as you dislike Duke, there's
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: no debating that they are one of the best college
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: basketball programs of all time. With North Carolina something something
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: about Duke. I would I got the Dean Dome, Duke
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: would be my number one choice. Dean Dome is very famous.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: You had Dean Smith, who was long time one of
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: the wildly widest known successful basketball coaches out there. I
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: would pick going to North Carolina way over Duke because listen,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: it's a huge stadium.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: I want to play in a large amount of people.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I don't want to play in some little, crappy old
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: stadium that only seats eight thousand people and have those
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: goofy geeks out there jumping up and down the entire game.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: I want to go play at North Carolina, so I
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: could leave, I could leave Uk out of it all
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: day long, and I'm still picking anybody else than Duke
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: because it's just too small. And that's the way I
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: kind of felt like with Northwestern, It's like you're going
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: so small that it's like, Okay, well we'll only seat
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: thirty five thousand people because I don't think we're going
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to sell out that much and we're not taking our
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: football that serious.
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: That's the way I look at it.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: No, I think they're on the up and up. Just wait.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: But again, I still think they underbuilt.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: Just so that's why I was so disappointed when Mitch
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Barnhardt started making Ruppery in a smaller and Commonwealth stadium smaller.
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: It's like, well, wait a minute, why do you want
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: to make it smaller? To me, make it bigger. You
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: want more fans, you want to you want to create
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: an environment that's large like your competitors. You think George
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: is gonna go smaller, You think Alabama's gonna go smaller.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: You think Texas, Texas A and M is going smaller,
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: But no, they're going bigger. It's just like anything else though.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: They're supplying demand. And if the demand's not there for
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: the tickets and you're not selling out every game, then
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: what's the point and having such a big.
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: Stadium because you create, you create the demand. That's why
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: you created.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: If you have a coach that's not doing the job,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: that's selling out the stadiums, which is a part of
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: the success of that team. You create that demand, you
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: go find that coach that'll be out there, and I
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: think they did that with will Stein, and I think
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: will Stein would say, listen, I hope at some point
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: when I get this team rolland e Verus Kentucky, we
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: expand Commonwealth Stadium and make it bigger.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: If you're consistently selling out, Yeah, if you're consistently selling out,
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: like that'll happen. That has That'll have happened in the
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: next couple of years up at Indiana. I mean, there's that,
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: there's st exactly. You don't think Kurt Signetti wants a
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: bigger stadium? Yeah, no, he's mentioned are they consistently selling
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: out right now? Oh yeah?
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: Okay, so you just proved my point right there.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: Yeah. But that's what I'm saying, is no, that's I'm
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: on the opposite of that though. If the demand's not there,
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: which oh, we're all right there with you, it's not
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: right now then. But as a player, don't you want
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: to go play at a larger stadium? If I had
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: the choice between Indiana and Michigan, Mike, I don't know.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: How I could tell you any other way. The side
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: of the stadium and how many people are in there
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: does not matter whate iota to me.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: I want to win.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: I want to go to a place with some history,
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: and that's that's about it. I don't care how many
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: people are surrounding me.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: So if that's the case, you would never pick Indiana.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: There's no history there is. Now try again, big dog,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: there's only recent history. That's history that Oh my gosh, listen,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I love how you're talking out of both sides of
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: your mouth now. So anyway, all right, we gotta take
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: our last break followed two four one four fourteen fifty gods,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: this is when you make me smile so much.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: I love this because that was a ridiculous conversation. But
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: anyway you.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: Made it, I did make it that way. I write
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: the rules on this show. It's fun.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: So yeah, sal I'm resting, don't you think?
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: Give so long? Talk Salad? Leave so soon?
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I didn't try it all right long, just to talk
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: with you.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: Well it's all run, please.
- 1:23:06Speaker 3: Please, Well it's.
- 1:23:11Speaker 4: In the mession, can well?
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: Is is that the last? Great? What you call megaband
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: right there?
- 1:23:27Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: Real so okay, because you know that had what I
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: think Bob Dylan was a part of it at one time,
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: George Harrison, Jeff Lynn from Yellow, Roy Orbison, and of
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: course Tom Petty.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: But man, that that's that's a band. I always love that.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: To me, that's fun when guys get like together like that,
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: by the way, and that would be something I would
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: do if I won the power Ball. By the way,
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: did you see the odds to win the power Ball
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: now up to over a billion?
- 1:24:00Speaker 3: The odds?
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: No? No, no, no, to win to win the jackpot
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: is a billion dollars the odds are um oh, let
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: me see.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: I think it was like two million probably, Yes, that's it.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: That's it right there. Yeah, what exactly is that? Crazy?
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: One and two hundred and ninety two million to win it?
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: What a crazy? Good guess that was? That was you?
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: You were that? So that was a guess. I thought
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: you looked that up.
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: No, that was wow.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: I'm impressed.
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: Okay, good good, I'm getting myself on the back here.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: So it's one hundred it's one billion dollars? Are you
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: ready for how much? The irs immediately takes out six
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: hundred billion, No, not that much. One hundred and three
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: point nine million.
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: Oh, that's it.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: So the lump sum is forty three, four hundred and
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: thirty three million. Yeah, Irs, the IRS takes out one
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: hundred Yeah, exactly right. So Powerball keeps six hundred million,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: you get four hundred and thirty three million. Then of
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: that four hundred and thirty three million, the IRS immediately
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: takes out one hundred and three million. So now you're
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: down to three hundred and twenty nine million dollars. I'd
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: still bend over for that kind of money.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: I don't think they wouldn't take that out immediately, but
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: when you have to pay your taxes the next year,
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: they would no.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, the IRS immediately takes that out.
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: So where's the other five hundred million. Gum? Uh, it's
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: going to uh lottery. That's Here's the one thing I
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: don't understand. If they're taking five hundred million dollars for
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: themselves off of a million or billion dollar jackpot, then
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: why the hell does the powerball start back over at
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: fifty million or whatever it is.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: You're talking numbers. I'll never understand. I don't know how
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: it makes money, but this is how they make money.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: It's because they're keeping all that money to themselves. Well,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: because you know, there's always that debate do you take
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: the lump sum or do you take it over time?
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: And I've always heard people say, no, take the lump sum.
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: Would you really sew it on?
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and listen, you might not know I'd won, but
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: there would be signs. So I heard Seth Clarovich, Chad
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: Brown's main man, that's a trainer up in New York,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: spent fifty million last year. I had no idea about
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: that up at the Saratoga sales. So thank you for
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: telling me that forty eight handily. Um. The way to
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: get the boys to Northwestern is having coach Kelly show
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: up to practice in his hard hat and safety vest.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: Oh geez man, Yeah, that's not going to work up there.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: I wonder how his accent sounds.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: Now, See, that's exactly what I would say, I know,
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: and then no, he's got a stay in the Chicago accent.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: You know what, welcome to Rigleyville or or Harry carry accent.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: That's that's the one he should do right there. I
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: was watching a clip last night because it had been
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: a number of years since Harry Carey passed away. And
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: one of his big dreams was to have Skip carry.
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: And then I think it was his son, our grandson
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: announced the game there, and then they showed a video
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: of it happening, because you know, Skip Carrey was the
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: famous play by play guy for the Atlanta Braves for
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: many years. And then his grandson started doing play by
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: play too, and they showed a video of all three
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: of them. Of course, Harry Carey doing the Cubs, and
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: then Skip and his son Chip I think was his
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: is his name, doing the Braves game, which was really cool.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Talk about nepotism.
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: That's okay, though, isn't They're good? They I I And honestly,
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: that's just.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: Me being jealous that my dad wasn't a broadcaster.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: Oh really, Skip Carry was probably the best of all three.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: I thought he was good. Now, Harry Carey was beloved
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: just because of his personality. But yeah, I just think
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: that's one of those cool things. One person said, I
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: think recruits are more interested in intimate co eds than
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: intimate stadiums.
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you're probably right. Yeah, I would agree with that.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: One person said, it's called highway robbery the lottery that
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: is is it really is?
- 1:28:39Speaker 3: Yeah, it probably is. Absolutely, without a doubt.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: All Right, CBS has made the announcement that JJ Watt,
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: the former Houston Texan, it's going to be taking over
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: for Tony Romo while he's out. Is this the first
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: step to getting rid of Tony Romo? Because if it succeeds,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: how do you go back to Tony Romo? I mean,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: I'll tell you the exact same thing I told you
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: last week. I don't think so.
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: I think. I think really they're just punished Tony, make
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: him sit out a few weeks, and then they'll bring
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: him back.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: But if it's wildly successful, and then they because JJ
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: is really good, he is good, And so how do
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: you go back to Tony Romo when fans are probably
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: going to be complaining that, hey, we want JJ Watt back.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: I see, I disagree with you. I really believe this
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: is the first step to getting rid of Tony Romo.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: They what we talked about it last week or week before.
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: They owe him another four years of eighteen million dollars
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: a year, and so that's that gets rid of that
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: because there was a clause in it that they could
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: dismiss him for.
- 1:29:53Speaker 2: And I think it's a test.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: I think it's a test to see how uh tony,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: how jim Nanton j Jay Watt worked together.
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: And maybe it is. But I have my thoughts, you
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: have yours, so I'm not otherwise, I'm not changing.
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: Well, do you think we will jim Nantz allowed to Okay, thanks,
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: Will jim Nantz allowed JJ Watt to be himself?
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: Wouldn't he? I don't know.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: I'm just curious what you think.
- 1:30:21Speaker 3: I hope he does. Play by play guys don't have
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: control over the way color guys act at all.
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: I mean, you're probably right, the good ones.
- 1:30:32Speaker 3: I've worked with some color guys in the past where
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: they've said some wild things and I don't have a
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: way to rain him in. That's not my responsibility. No,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: it's executive producer, the main producer over the whole broadcast.
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: That's his job.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Well, we'll see what happens, and uh, I'm looking forward
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: to it, and uh, I think it'll be a lot
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: of fun to have JJ Watt in the main booth
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: with jim nant So.
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: By the way, I didn't get to say it yesterday,
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: but it was it now.
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: A couple of days ago.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: In Drew Carr, former UK basketball player, is headed to
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: Australia good back. Yeah, I see, I knew you would
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: say that. And then the other thing was, uh, what
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: was the horse chief wallaby? Yeah, you see exactly. That's
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: the only voice you can do is the Australian went,
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: and you do it that way. Huh yeah, right, I
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: can do all kinds of voice.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: Oh can you really?
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: Okay, here you said you couldn't do a German voice,
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: and nowt's hear the German voice thing, because.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Oh geez, how many words can you speak in German?
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: Probably fifty?
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: Oh I thought you would say more.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: No, probably only around fifty because your grandmother doesn't speak German.
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: They do, they just they never really taught me growing up.
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: I mean I could say simple phrases like which means
- 1:31:53Speaker 3: I love you, or deck tetsu which means cover up,
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: or danka and bitta please and thank you, and I
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: can count to probably forty in German. So yeah, I
- 1:32:04Speaker 3: mean I may know more than a think because there's
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: not a big German population in this area, right or
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: am I wrong about that? I mean, yeah, there's probably
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: more than you think, is there?
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: I mean when I used to I grew up at
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: the German American Club off Poplar Level, and yeah, those
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: events would be packed with German really.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, well they used to have a German
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: restaurant up there at Brownsburro Road and Waters Expressway. It
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: was great food.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: Now if you go down to like Jasper area, there
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: are a ton of Germans.
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: You mean up Jasper What Jasper, Indiana?
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so you could go up towards Indianapolis Jasper's northdn't No,
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: it's like in the.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: Oh it is, okay, Yeah, it's just been a long
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: time since I've been there.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: All right, everybody, we got to go stay safe out
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: there in all this rain, and we'll see you tomorrow
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: on just the captain.
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: Jamar Wi bray baby da
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: Well, it's all alright, given it to say a w
