- 0:00Speaker 1: Did you guys see earlier this week, Tom Cruise actually
- 0:02Speaker 1: said he doesn't even read his own scripts because he
- 0:05Speaker 1: feels like he absorbs the material better by listening and
- 0:08Speaker 1: he doesn't want his own ideas interfering before he hears
- 0:11Speaker 1: the material. So they actually said, okay, that's kind of
- 0:14Speaker 1: interesting because this study came out. that found people can
- 0:17Speaker 1: process print and audio differently depending on the task. Print
- 0:21Speaker 1: did better for things like overall gist and vocabulary, but
- 0:24Speaker 1: recall and, like, interference could be, like, the audio is
- 0:28Speaker 1: better for.
- 0:28Speaker 2: That stuff, for recalling it.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Like, you'll remember it better if you hear it rather
- 0:32Speaker 1: than reading it.
- 0:33Speaker 3: So I guess if he reads it, he's thinking, well,
- 0:35Speaker 3: what if I said this instead? But if he hears it,
- 0:36Speaker 3: He's hearing it like a story. I also heard that
- 0:38Speaker 3: he was dyslexic. So one of that has that probably.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Has something to do with it as well.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Also, too, like think about it. Kids, when they rewatch
- 0:45Speaker 4: TV shows, they can. I mean, my nephew does.
- 0:48Speaker 2: He can almost like recite. Oh, my goodness. Every line.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Let's go. Exactly. So it's like when you're hearing it
- 0:53Speaker 2: on repeat, I guess I get that.
- 0:55Speaker 5: I was like that in school.
- 0:56Speaker 3: If you if you were a teacher, like going through history,
- 0:59Speaker 3: if you talk about it and tell it as a
- 1:01Speaker 3: story in class, I got it.
- 1:03Speaker 5: If you've got to read a textbook, probably not going
- 1:04Speaker 5: to read it.
- 1:05Speaker 1: So now it's like there's this online discussion of things
- 1:08Speaker 1: that we should be hearing and not reading, like directions
- 1:12Speaker 1: to somewhere for the first time or a long work email.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Like, don't read it.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Just read it to me because then you can kind
- 1:17Speaker 1: of like multitask and absorb the information that way, too.
- 1:20Speaker 3: OK, well, there's here's one thing in that regard that
- 1:23Speaker 3: I don't like. I don't like when someone sends me
- 1:25Speaker 3: an audio text message. I'd rather read it.
- 1:28Speaker 5: That's funny.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I wonder if now on the audio.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Messages, but I wonder if like you would, you would
- 1:33Speaker 1: remember the text better if you heard it or something
- 1:35Speaker 1: like that, because the next one on the list of
- 1:38Speaker 1: things is a book. And I cannot sit down and
- 1:40Speaker 1: read a book, but I can listen to an audio
- 1:42Speaker 1: book all day.
- 1:43Speaker 4: Oh, really?
- 1:43Speaker 2: See, I'm the exact opposite. I don't want to hear
- 1:45Speaker 2: your voice in my ear.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So when Tom Cruise has someone.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Read a script, then they'll go to him and they'll go, Hey,
- 1:54Speaker 6: this is a good script.
- 1:55Speaker 5: You should read it.
- 1:56Speaker 6: And then he'll be like, okay, now that you read it, okay, good.
- 1:59Speaker 1: They will literally read it out loud to him.
- 2:01Speaker 6: Oh, they read it to him.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Yeah, he'll sing and listen to the script. So he's
- 2:04Speaker 5: hearing the story, which I think is good for him.
- 2:06Speaker 6: I wonder who that, would that be the person reading it,
- 2:07Speaker 6: looking at him nervous, shaking the script?
- 2:09Speaker 5: I know.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Or like you mess up.
- 2:11Speaker 5: I read time.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Great. Or like, what if like your inflection is different
- 2:14Speaker 2: than how he would actually.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Well, you probably hire someone.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Or in his head, he's literally taking the time. Like,
- 2:20Speaker 1: I almost kind of feel like it's maybe a life
- 2:22Speaker 1: hack for him as a movie maker because he's hearing
- 2:25Speaker 1: it and visualizing what the movie is going to be
- 2:27Speaker 1: or visualizing himself as the character.
- 2:29Speaker 3: So he's found something that he just doesn't want to
- 2:32Speaker 3: deal with and has hired somebody to do it.
- 2:33Speaker 6: I'd like to do that with working out. I want
- 2:36Speaker 6: to hire someone to work out for me. Jerry, he's
- 2:38Speaker 6: my leg guy. But somehow I get the benefits.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I would like to hire someone to cook dinner for
- 2:43Speaker 1: me as well.
- 2:44Speaker 2: On that note.
- 2:46Speaker 3: I'd like somebody to tell me, like, if the main
- 2:48Speaker 3: preacher is there on Sunday or if it's a fill-in.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Because if it's a fill-in, I probably won't go.
- 2:52Speaker 6: I'll need to go check the Sun Valley app. I've
- 2:55Speaker 6: investigated a lot on social media to see where the
- 2:58Speaker 6: preacher is before I come in.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I don't want to deal with that.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I just want to know, and then I'll be like,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I want to know before Sunday so I can sleep late.
- 3:05Speaker 1: If you go to Sun Valley, you can see the
- 3:07Speaker 1: schedule on the app.
- 3:08Speaker 5: I love the guy.
- 3:09Speaker 6: That's very trendy of Sun Valley. Terry Chris, the guy
- 3:12Speaker 6: I love. I will look on social media and see
- 3:13Speaker 6: if he's there. If he's on vacation or whatever, I'm like,
- 3:15Speaker 6: he's probably not.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Going to be there.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Then you go to the website and you see if
- 3:18Speaker 6: there's a guest speaker. But if they don't say there's
- 3:20Speaker 6: a guest speaker and it's just the backup preacher.
- 3:22Speaker 5: I'm like, oh.
- 3:22Speaker 1: But sometimes the guest speaker is like almost better.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Not better, but almost always is pretty good.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 6: I think it depends on where you go. So someone
- 3:32Speaker 6: cook for you. Someone work out for you. Tom Cruise
- 3:35Speaker 6: has someone read for you.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I want the alert for the guest speaker to come
- 3:38Speaker 5: through on a Saturday.
- 3:40Speaker 6: I like to have somebody just run all the tedious errands,
- 3:43Speaker 6: you know?
- 3:44Speaker 5: I feel like that. For example, I had three weeks
- 3:46Speaker 5: of my air on my tires being low.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I think you guys are kind of like making a
- 3:49Speaker 1: case to have like a robot in your house because
- 3:51Speaker 1: they could like.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Do all those things. Except they're working out for you.
- 3:54Speaker 5: That wouldn't work. I've been trying to get us a
- 3:55Speaker 5: show robot for a long time and we would name
- 3:57Speaker 5: him Showbot. I like Showbot.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Wouldn't this all just be like an assistant if he
- 4:00Speaker 4: had one? Like I bet you Kim Kardashian's assistant does.
- 4:02Speaker 2: All of that kind of stuff.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Except she can't work out for you.
- 4:05Speaker 5: That's like the one thing.
- 4:06Speaker 6: Do this for me so I can take a day off.
- 4:10Speaker 4: You know those things like at the medispa where they
- 4:12Speaker 4: like zap your abs and like it makes you have like.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:16Speaker 2: No, John Jay, we've done that before.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Yeah, we've done it.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They would do it to our butt. So you would
- 4:20Speaker 2: have to buy one and have your assistant do your
- 4:22Speaker 2: workout for you that way.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I feel like they need to create a suit.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Like a suit you could just wear around all day
- 4:29Speaker 1: as you're doing your normal walking.
- 4:30Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 4:31Speaker 2: I have a pair of leggings that literally have workout
- 4:34Speaker 2: bands inside of them. I remember those. And when you
- 4:37Speaker 2: walk in, you can, like, squat. Send me the link.
- 4:39Speaker 5: What do you mean?
- 4:39Speaker 2: They're called Sweet Flex.
- 4:40Speaker 6: I think.
- 4:41Speaker 5: Oh, so what are you talking about?
- 4:42Speaker 2: They're literally leggings that have.
- 4:45Speaker 4: resistance bands sewn into them.
- 4:48Speaker 2: So when you walk, it's like giving resistance. Okay, I
- 4:50Speaker 2: think I've been getting Instagram ads for those. They're actually really...
- 4:53Speaker 2: Make sure you size up because they do run a
- 4:55Speaker 2: little small. But they're really nice.
- 4:56Speaker 6: All right, so what would you like someone to do
- 4:58Speaker 6: for you? I mean, essentially something to do for you, right?
- 5:01Speaker 5: Yeah, something that you... I want someone to chew my
- 5:03Speaker 5: food for me.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Remember we did Baby Bird?
- 5:04Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, yes, I do.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Do you know what Baby Bird is?
- 5:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's where you chew up your food and spit
- 5:08Speaker 4: it in someone else's mouth.
- 5:09Speaker 6: Yeah, we had Kyle do that to something. She spit
- 5:11Speaker 6: her food in his mouth and he ate it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Ew.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Guess what it was?
- 5:14Speaker 4: I would want someone to like do all like the annoying,
- 5:16Speaker 4: like brush my teeth or like take a shower for
- 5:19Speaker 4: me or like put my, like the things I just
- 5:21Speaker 4: don't want to do.
- 5:21Speaker 6: We got to do that again. Who could Kyle baby bird?
- 5:25Speaker 2: That was really gross. That is actually disgusting.
- 5:27Speaker 5: We don't have an intern anymore. Didn't we also call it?
- 5:29Speaker 4: It wasn't.
- 5:29Speaker 5: It was Joey Bradfish.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Ew.
- 5:31Speaker 5: Ew. Let's bring him back from that.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Did you really like mush it up?
- 5:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I was part of the gig.
- 5:38Speaker 6: I'll volunteer.
- 5:38Speaker 5: You can just spit in my face.
- 5:40Speaker 6: I'm down.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Baby bird. Baby bird me.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Baby bird.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Okay.
