- 0:00Speaker 1: Previously on Relatables Baddies book Club, they go upstairs, they
- 0:03Speaker 1: make sweet sweet love or night this pissed me off?
- 0:08Speaker 2: But where was the descriptive language?
- 0:11Speaker 1: How big is it? How long did he last? How
- 0:13Speaker 1: many times did she come? How wet was she? What
- 0:16Speaker 1: was his moaning? Like? Where was this?
- 0:18Speaker 2: It's been ten years. I want to know how it
- 0:19Speaker 2: feels the first time.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Like, if you're gonna put sex in a book, give
- 0:24Speaker 1: us what we want. Yeah.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I was like was there a page missing? I was
- 0:28Speaker 2: like what happened? And then it was just like we
- 0:30Speaker 2: woke up in the morning and I.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Was like, no, you didn't.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Welcome to Relatables Baddies book Club, where we will embark
- 0:37Speaker 3: on a journey reading some of the finest pieces of
- 0:39Speaker 3: literature you have ever laid eyes.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Or he is if that's your preferred way to consume
- 0:43Speaker 1: a book.
- 0:43Speaker 2: On The Housemaid, Chapters thirty one to the end, Jake,
- 0:50Speaker 2: we have finished finished, sure, Venito, as Enzo would say, yes,
- 0:57Speaker 2: So here's what I'm thinking.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I've got notes on every chapter. I think what I
- 1:03Speaker 1: wanted to try and do is bang out a quick
- 1:06Speaker 1: synopsis or more recap of what's been read. Get everyone
- 1:12Speaker 1: up to speed and then we'll go into it.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Okay, good because I have a lot of thoughts, okay,
- 1:18Speaker 2: a lot. I like what I'm hearing, very m feelings too.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay. Well, before we even say whether or
- 1:26Speaker 1: not we were happy with the ending, we're happy with
- 1:27Speaker 1: the book or anything, let's get quickly into a recap.
- 1:30Speaker 1: All right, Everyone's welcome if you haven't read the book.
- 1:32Speaker 1: This is why we're doing the recap. And I would
- 1:37Speaker 1: like to remind everyone that where we left off was
- 1:41Speaker 1: millly in bed finding the Broadway show like play Brochure
- 1:49Speaker 1: whatever on her bedside table, which then meant she knows.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Nina knows that she went and fucked out so long ago, yo,
- 2:00Speaker 1: always seems forever ago, because to be fair, we did
- 2:02Speaker 1: just read the second half of the book this one week.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And the second half was fucking way more.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Engaging than the first White Juicy. So I think what
- 2:13Speaker 1: I might do is I'm going to like read that
- 2:15Speaker 1: many and then like quickly bang it out, okay, and
- 2:19Speaker 1: then I'll do like flip her okay, doki. So from
- 2:22Speaker 1: where we left off, what's been going on is Nina's
- 2:26Speaker 1: kind of doing whatever she can to make Millie's life
- 2:28Speaker 1: help just like kind of scaremongering, bit of scare tactics. Right,
- 2:33Speaker 1: She's at the shops and she just makes life hard.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And then Millie gets, you know, taken by the grocery
- 2:39Speaker 1: shop security says, we had someone call in and said
- 2:44Speaker 1: that you might be stealing, and obviously it was Nina.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You know, she's just stressing her out by the sceanes. Yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: so we go. There's a night where Millie can't sleep,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and she goes down to get some water and she
- 2:55Speaker 1: I think she's like thinking about going to watch some
- 2:56Speaker 1: TV or something. She's she doesn't, she's just fucked up.
- 2:59Speaker 1: And she sees Andrew out on the porch just having
- 3:02Speaker 1: a beer. She goes out and they're shitty chatting and
- 3:06Speaker 1: I think she might be just talking about how I
- 3:09Speaker 1: didn't tell you about prison whatever, and so he looks
- 3:12Speaker 1: around kisses her straight up, just like straight up kisses her.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Doesn't even cares. Fucked up dude, it's like insane. So
- 3:20Speaker 1: she goes back upstairs. She goes and then Nina's stuck
- 3:23Speaker 1: in the darkness being scary as hell up and near
- 3:26Speaker 1: the attic, and she's like, Nina, what are you doing?
- 3:27Speaker 1: She goes, it's my house, you don't have to tell
- 3:28Speaker 1: you about my whereabouts. She goes, fair enough, I guess
- 3:31Speaker 1: where's Andrew. I don't know. He's on the porch. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: didn't talk to him. I don't know. Merely's trying to
- 3:35Speaker 1: be like.
- 3:36Speaker 2: What she said was sus like I don't know, but
- 3:38Speaker 2: it like, yeah, I think he's on the porch. I
- 3:40Speaker 2: didn't see him, but I didn't talk to him. Nina
- 3:41Speaker 2: sees her right three. Yeah, all right, Nina's a change.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Okay, it's hard not to say anything.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I know, it's hard.
- 3:48Speaker 1: It trigging rig I didn't I didn't see any of
- 3:50Speaker 1: it coming.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I kind of did, kind of didn't.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That many comments were like all the baddies like I
- 3:55Speaker 2: can't believe you guys haven't.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Guessed this right now.
- 3:57Speaker 2: There was no way in the world I was guessing
- 4:00Speaker 2: what happened.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I we semi whatever. So next day, Nina is accusing
- 4:07Speaker 1: Milli of stealing her clothes. She's like, why did I
- 4:08Speaker 1: find all my clothes in your room? And Milli's like,
- 4:10Speaker 1: you gave him to me, and she goes, why the
- 4:12Speaker 1: fuck would I give my clothes my mate? And Millie
- 4:14Speaker 1: goes ah, Andrew comes down and she's like, Andrew, Milly'
- 4:18Speaker 1: still my clothes and this is like the last straw
- 4:21Speaker 1: for him. He's like, Nina, I fucking saw you put
- 4:24Speaker 1: them in the bags and say you were going to
- 4:25Speaker 1: donate them, like you gave them to Millie. And she's like, what,
- 4:30Speaker 1: You're gonna choose the mate over me? Like what are
- 4:32Speaker 1: you gonna believe her over me? He goes, Millly, do
- 4:35Speaker 1: you mind if we have some privacy? She goes upstairs.
- 4:37Speaker 1: She doesn't go all the way up, she's eavesdropping. Andrew's
- 4:40Speaker 1: just straight up fucking divorces Nina get out. He's like,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I want to separate you. I don't love you anymore
- 4:46Speaker 1: and know what's going on with you? And Nina's like
- 4:48Speaker 1: what what what? And he's like, yeah, look, I just
- 4:51Speaker 1: I don't love you. She goes, this is about Milli
- 4:53Speaker 1: and he goes, it's not about Millie, but I do
- 4:55Speaker 1: have feelings for her. I was like, what I.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Thought, this was very abrupt and there was quite a
- 5:00Speaker 2: lot of things to be like, whoa, okay, shit that
- 5:03Speaker 2: just happened.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So basically Nina leaves all right, and yeah, Millie she
- 5:13Speaker 1: fucks Andrew in the spare room that night. It's a
- 5:15Speaker 1: wonderful night, you know, they get to make some sweet
- 5:19Speaker 1: sweet love. And she's like, oh, well, I guess we're
- 5:20Speaker 1: boyfriend girlfriend now. It's a hop skipping a jumpe. It
- 5:25Speaker 1: is a hop skipping a jump and he's like, you know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you're not my maid anymore. He goes to work, Ceci's
- 5:30Speaker 1: not there. She's like, all right, well, you know I
- 5:33Speaker 1: usually would do this this this on a Monday. And
- 5:35Speaker 1: he goes, don't you dare you know, just relax, you
- 5:38Speaker 1: don't have to do that shit anymore. We'll get someone
- 5:39Speaker 1: else to clean the house. All right. Cool. So she
- 5:45Speaker 1: that day is just chilling at the house and then
- 5:49Speaker 1: she's done some stuff, she's read some books, you know whatever,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and oh sorry quickly. Actually that day Andrew also fires Enzo,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and then Enzo tries to warn Milli like you're in danger,
- 6:03Speaker 1: you're in danger, and then she's like, what the fuck you?
- 6:07Speaker 1: What about? Dude off? So then that day she's chilling
- 6:10Speaker 1: at home, she reads a few books. She leaves him
- 6:12Speaker 1: on the counter, and then Andrew comes home and he's like, oh,
- 6:16Speaker 1: so you did some reading, you know, and She's like yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and then he takes her upstairs, fucks her brains out,
- 6:22Speaker 1: they go to sleep. She wakes up at three am
- 6:23Speaker 1: busting for a piss. She goes to go for a week,
- 6:27Speaker 1: Andrew's not there anymore. So she's like, oh, fair enough.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I feel like if you fell asleep in this cot
- 6:31Speaker 1: up in the attic, like they fucked in the attic
- 6:33Speaker 1: by the way up in the attic, you know, I'd
- 6:35Speaker 1: also want to leave and go back down to my
- 6:36Speaker 1: fucking memory front bed. She goes to open the door,
- 6:40Speaker 1: doesn't budge. She's used to it by now, it always opens.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Goes to the fuckul do you have sex in there?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Goes to open it again. It's fully locked, all right?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And then next chapter, all right, it goes part two.
- 6:56Speaker 1: This shit, this next bit, Nina pov. Damn boy, I.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Got to say, I'm not built for a psychological thriller,
- 7:05Speaker 2: no me, Nina. I was struggling and like, I was scared.
- 7:09Speaker 2: I was like, I can't, I can't deal with this shit.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, so I was actually also terrified. Yeah,
- 7:16Speaker 1: I was pretty glued to it.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I was good, but I don't like being in that
- 7:19Speaker 2: type of glued it's kind of like, I've got to
- 7:21Speaker 2: find out what happens.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But I'm scared. Yeah, he's so fair. I thought about
- 7:25Speaker 1: flipping to the end. By the way, I thought about
- 7:27Speaker 1: flipping to the end. See, I want to see the
- 7:29Speaker 1: happy ending, to make sure there was a happy ending.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And then I would have been fine to read through
- 7:32Speaker 1: all the shit, because I knew that it's going to
- 7:34Speaker 1: get coming.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Keep going, getting worse and worse and worse.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And I'm like, I'm getting more squirmish and swirmish. All right.
- 7:40Speaker 1: So Nina again, Nina Pov. She's in the hotel, so
- 7:49Speaker 1: that's where she's gone to stay. She goes into her
- 7:53Speaker 1: onto her phone, and she realizes that Millie has turned
- 7:56Speaker 1: off the tracker that she put in a phone because
- 7:58Speaker 1: merely found out there was a tracker. And she's like,
- 8:01Speaker 1: oh fuck, clever girl, but not clever enough. So she
- 8:05Speaker 1: goes into her purse, gets a photo of Andrew and
- 8:07Speaker 1: another thing. She doesn't say what the other thing is.
- 8:10Speaker 1: She gets a photo of Andrew though, and she goes
- 8:13Speaker 1: into the bathroom and she's like talking about her hands
- 8:15Speaker 1: in years, and then she burns the photo and then
- 8:18Speaker 1: there's a title and it's like, it's almost like as
- 8:21Speaker 1: if Nina is telling you a story, and the story
- 8:24Speaker 1: is how to get rid of your evil, sadistic husband,
- 8:27Speaker 1: A Guide by Nina Winchester. Now, the next fair few
- 8:31Speaker 1: chapters are a backstory of how Nina and Andrew met
- 8:34Speaker 1: and the years leading up until Millie got hired. I
- 8:36Speaker 1: felt terrible, all right, So I felt bad too because
- 8:42Speaker 1: we were judging her so much. Oh but yeah, you
- 8:44Speaker 1: have to judge. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So that's the way
- 8:47Speaker 1: it's written. So she started off quite a like back
- 8:51Speaker 1: when she met Andrew. She was working as a secretary
- 8:53Speaker 1: for someone that worked at Andrew's company. She was a
- 8:56Speaker 1: single mum and she had Ceci. She was a few
- 8:59Speaker 1: months old and she was fresh out of school. She
- 9:02Speaker 1: got pregnant on the one night stand. So she talks
- 9:05Speaker 1: about how Andrew was like her boss's boss's boss, and
- 9:08Speaker 1: he's just so handsome. He's like a famous person in
- 9:10Speaker 1: the company. So one day they she's like gets reprimanded
- 9:17Speaker 1: by her boss. She's having a meeting with Andrew because
- 9:19Speaker 1: she lactates and her bott and she's got full breasts
- 9:22Speaker 1: of milk because she's like a mum, her new mum
- 9:24Speaker 1: and her boss like makes fun of her and is
- 9:27Speaker 1: like really rude to her. So Andrew comes out and
- 9:29Speaker 1: he apologizes for it, takes her for lunch, and then
- 9:33Speaker 1: he goes, let me take you for dinner. And he's
- 9:35Speaker 1: just the greenest flag from the fucking get go. He's rich,
- 9:38Speaker 1: he's amazing future. We take, you know, go a few steps.
- 9:43Speaker 1: They just got married. They've been married for three or
- 9:46Speaker 1: four months, all right, and they moved into his house
- 9:50Speaker 1: airtight prenup. His mum is a psycho bitch right, very
- 9:55Speaker 1: very just like condescending, and you can tell that Andrew
- 9:59Speaker 1: just really is a wants to please his mum all
- 10:00Speaker 1: the time. And so one day.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I was thinking he was trying to turn Nina into
- 10:07Speaker 2: his mouth something.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It was crazy bro like yeah. So Nina, one day,
- 10:14Speaker 1: she's like just loving life, best husband ever, you know.
- 10:19Speaker 1: She comes home and he's there and she missed a
- 10:24Speaker 1: hair appointment and he's like notices that she had a
- 10:26Speaker 1: few roots grown through, and he's just like made a
- 10:28Speaker 1: little comment like, oh, your roots are grown through, but
- 10:30Speaker 1: he didn't say he said it just kind of under
- 10:32Speaker 1: his breath, like not a big deal. And so she's
- 10:35Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, yeah. And then they're about to go
- 10:37Speaker 1: to bed, and he says, oh, do you mind helping
- 10:39Speaker 1: me up with some papers in the attic? I need
- 10:42Speaker 1: to get this contract done by tonight for tomorrow. So
- 10:45Speaker 1: she goes up there and goes to help him. They
- 10:47Speaker 1: walk into the attic and there's not much up there.
- 10:49Speaker 1: There's like there's a cot, there's a cupboard, there's a
- 10:53Speaker 1: fridge with the three water bottles, and there's a bucket,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and so she's like, this is weird. She goes in
- 10:59Speaker 1: and then she hears the door slam. She's like, there's
- 11:01Speaker 1: no papers up here, and she's like, why is the
- 11:02Speaker 1: door closed? She's like, where did Andrew go? And so
- 11:05Speaker 1: she's over trying to open the door. It's locked. She's screaming, screaming, screaming.
- 11:09Speaker 1: There's a window it's painted over, like painted shut, and
- 11:13Speaker 1: she's like, Nina is just like screaming, scream and screaming.
- 11:15Speaker 1: She's like, what the fuck's going on? And Andrew's just gone.
- 11:19Speaker 1: She's starting to think like he he, you know, left
- 11:23Speaker 1: the door accidentally closed. He was on his way back up,
- 11:25Speaker 1: but he fell down the stairs shit like that. And
- 11:28Speaker 1: so after ages he comes back and he's like she goes, Andrew,
- 11:33Speaker 1: what the hell are you doing? And he's like, where
- 11:36Speaker 1: are He's like, do you have a key or whatever?
- 11:37Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, I have a kid. And she's like, well,
- 11:38Speaker 1: let me out, and he goes, I'm not going to
- 11:39Speaker 1: do that. She's like what and he's like, he's going,
- 11:44Speaker 1: you need to you need to understand what you've done.
- 11:47Speaker 1: She's going, what are you what? Let me out of
- 11:50Speaker 1: you right fucking now, Andrew, let me out of here?
- 11:53Speaker 1: What is wrong with you? So he fucking is locked
- 11:58Speaker 1: her in there because her roots have grown through. He goes,
- 12:03Speaker 1: you let your roots grow through, all right, I'm not
- 12:06Speaker 1: gonna have my wife walking around like some slobby, homeless person.
- 12:10Speaker 1: You have to understand the privilege of having access to
- 12:14Speaker 1: a hairdresser and the privilege of having hair man. I
- 12:19Speaker 1: hate everything about this, all right. So she's losing the
- 12:24Speaker 1: plot because I'm gonna let you calm down. I'll be
- 12:26Speaker 1: back soon. She's like losing plot scratching and doing everything right.
- 12:30Speaker 2: What would you do in this scenario, your Nina.
- 12:35Speaker 1: I don't actually know. I would like I would resort
- 12:46Speaker 1: to like just trying to use something to break like something,
- 12:54Speaker 1: if that makes any sense At all, I think I'd
- 12:56Speaker 1: break myself. Yeah, like I would. This is what my
- 13:01Speaker 1: nightmare is. Because there is a small window, right, So
- 13:06Speaker 1: I would be using something to break that small window,
- 13:08Speaker 1: even though it's painted over, and so then I would
- 13:12Speaker 1: be yelling out of that window. That's what I would do.
- 13:15Speaker 1: What would you do?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Honestly, I would just kick up.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fucking insane. So he comes back before bed
- 13:24Speaker 1: and she's like, seriously, let me the fuck out of here.
- 13:27Speaker 1: And so then he's like, nuh um, you're gonna spend
- 13:31Speaker 1: the night in here. I gave you three water bottles. Like,
- 13:35Speaker 1: this guy's fucking insane. So she's somehow spends the night
- 13:39Speaker 1: in there. Next day he comes in. He's like, Nina,
- 13:41Speaker 1: you awake. She's been in there for like fifteen hours.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Nina you up. He's like yeah. She's like yes, yes, yes.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He goes, okay, I've thought of for my punishment, because
- 13:50Speaker 1: he said, he says, I need to think of a punishment.
- 13:51Speaker 1: He goes, I thought of what my punishment is. He
- 13:53Speaker 1: slides an envelope under the door and he says, I
- 13:55Speaker 1: need you to give me one hundred strands of your hair.
- 13:59Speaker 1: She goes, I'll that's fine. I'll go get my hair
- 14:02Speaker 1: brush right now. And he goes, no, no, no. From the scalp,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I need you to pull out one hundred strands of
- 14:07Speaker 1: your hair and put them in this envelope and give
- 14:09Speaker 1: them back to me. She goes all right, fine, like
- 14:11Speaker 1: give me two seconds. I'll do it right now. And
- 14:13Speaker 1: he goes, no, no, no, I got to get to work.
- 14:14Speaker 1: She's said, no, just five minutes, give me five minutes.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'll do it right now. He's like, no, no, I got
- 14:17Speaker 1: to get to work. All right, you've got the day.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'll be back by seven pm. Ceec's taken care of
- 14:23Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah. Okay, oh my fucking gord.
- 14:27Speaker 1: So she's been in there for the night, no food,
- 14:30Speaker 1: just some water to piss in the bucket, and she
- 14:33Speaker 1: takes one hundred stands of hair gives them to him. Boom.
- 14:37Speaker 1: He comes back at seven pm. No, no, are you there? Yep,
- 14:39Speaker 1: she's fucked up, dehydrated. Whatever gives them the hair he
- 14:42Speaker 1: counts me. He goes, all right, I've got the hairs,
- 14:45Speaker 1: but there's just one problem. All of them but one
- 14:48Speaker 1: are from the root. So you're gonna have to do
- 14:50Speaker 1: it again, and so she's like, you're fucked up, dude.
- 14:54Speaker 1: She's losing her mind all right. Now she has to
- 14:58Speaker 1: spend another night in there. He comes back the next morning.
- 15:02Speaker 1: She is she thinks she's gonna die from dehydration. She's
- 15:05Speaker 1: got the new hairs. He counts, and he says, yeah, okay,
- 15:07Speaker 1: ol Good opens the door. He's got a bottle of
- 15:09Speaker 1: a glass of water and a bagel there for her.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So she's thinking, as soon as she gets out of
- 15:13Speaker 1: this room, she's gonna fuck him up. But she's just
- 15:15Speaker 1: so tired. She hasn't eaten for two days, like she's
- 15:17Speaker 1: barely drink any water because those water bottles were small,
- 15:21Speaker 1: and so she just can't even get up. And he
- 15:22Speaker 1: gives her the water, feeds her the bagel, and then
- 15:25Speaker 1: he picks her up, and he just keeps saying to her, like,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know you're gonna be okay? Are you okay? Like
- 15:31Speaker 1: you're acting really strange, and then he keeps on and
- 15:33Speaker 1: then he puts her down into bed and he says,
- 15:35Speaker 1: you just you rest for the day. I'm gonna go
- 15:37Speaker 1: to work, but let me know if you're okay, because
- 15:40Speaker 1: you're not well okay, and then at about midday, she
- 15:44Speaker 1: wakes up and she feels fucked like she hasn't even slept,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but she's been sleeping and she's been woken up, and
- 15:50Speaker 1: she's like, there's someone in the bathroom running water and
- 15:54Speaker 1: the lights on. She's like, who's in my bathroom? And
- 15:56Speaker 1: she's like, what is going on? What is going on?
- 15:58Speaker 1: And she's fucked up. Her phone buzzers. She can bear it.
- 16:02Speaker 1: She checks her phone as she sees it's midday, and
- 16:04Speaker 1: there's messages from Andrew are you okay? I'm about to
- 16:06Speaker 1: go on a meeting, text me if you're okay? Are
- 16:08Speaker 1: you okay? And Nina what are you doing? Nina? Are
- 16:10Speaker 1: you okay? She's like, what the hell? And then there's
- 16:15Speaker 1: still this water running and she's not knowing what it
- 16:17Speaker 1: is and she gets up out of bed to go
- 16:19Speaker 1: see what it is and she's she can't walk. She's like,
- 16:22Speaker 1: what the fuck and then she realizes she hasn't even
- 16:24Speaker 1: thought of Cecilia, so she walk goes over. She has
- 16:27Speaker 1: to crawl, crawl, crawl, crawl. She barely gets there, and
- 16:31Speaker 1: once she gets into the bathroom she still can barely crawl.
- 16:34Speaker 1: She sees Cecilia in the bathtub and the water is
- 16:38Speaker 1: about to be full, She's about to be fully submerged
- 16:40Speaker 1: in the water, and so she's like, what the fuck
- 16:42Speaker 1: has this psychopath done? So she's inching over, she's talking
- 16:45Speaker 1: about how she'll do anything to say her baby. She's
- 16:47Speaker 1: nearly there. She gets up to the bath she nearly
- 16:49Speaker 1: gets to the FORRCET, and then there's a police officer
- 16:51Speaker 1: there that drags her away. Okay, so it.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Was Andrew that drugged Nina and was gonna kill Cecilia.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So I was gaslight here as a reader, but a
- 17:04Speaker 2: really yeah, so what next?
- 17:08Speaker 1: Now that what naps? The next I'll go into a
- 17:10Speaker 1: little bit of detail, even though I just did. Nina
- 17:15Speaker 1: goes to a mental hospital and what they tell her
- 17:20Speaker 1: is that the whole addic thing never happened. She's severely
- 17:26Speaker 1: depressed and she's having hallucinations. She's been she has to
- 17:31Speaker 1: go to a hospital for eight months. She's on psycho
- 17:34Speaker 1: anti psychotics, she's on depressure medication, she got having heavy therapy,
- 17:38Speaker 1: and they're drilling into her that this was a hallucination
- 17:41Speaker 1: and you are sick, and she ends up believing it
- 17:45Speaker 1: and she owns up to what she did. So did I.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So she's so. What they're saying is the addict thing
- 17:50Speaker 1: never happened. You had you had a hallucination, and your
- 17:52Speaker 1: husband never lost you up there. You were so depressed
- 17:55Speaker 1: and hallucinating so bad that you drugged yourself, drugged your baby,
- 17:58Speaker 1: and you were going to drown her. And she admitted
- 18:00Speaker 1: to doing it because they gasted her into say she
- 18:02Speaker 1: did it, and I was like, bullshit, Yeah, all right. Now,
- 18:07Speaker 1: eight months down the track, she's finally let out and
- 18:13Speaker 1: she's going They've been home for a little while. Andrew's
- 18:16Speaker 1: been the perfect husband, all right, the perfect father to Cecilia,
- 18:21Speaker 1: and Cecilia has missed her so much. She's still not
- 18:24Speaker 1: allowed alone with her. Has to have either his Andrew's
- 18:26Speaker 1: mom there or Andrew there while Cecilia is there. And
- 18:29Speaker 1: then there's one day she was she just had one
- 18:32Speaker 1: of her like weekly therapist sessions, and the therapist says,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I really think you should go check the attic because
- 18:36Speaker 1: that's the only thing you haven't done. I think that
- 18:38Speaker 1: you would really be letting yourself out of the prison
- 18:40Speaker 1: that you are scared of if you go check out
- 18:43Speaker 1: the attic.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And all these people are Andrew's family, friends or.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't know that till after the fact, know
- 18:49Speaker 1: the Winchesters. Yeah. So we get back and Andrew says
- 18:54Speaker 1: I agree with him, like you should check it out,
- 18:56Speaker 1: all right. They go home. Andrew's mom is there and
- 19:01Speaker 1: she's looking up to see Cee and she's about to
- 19:03Speaker 1: go home, and she goes, Andrew, I notice she lost
- 19:05Speaker 1: a light on in your bedroom upstairs. And he's all embarrassed.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And Nina's like, yeah, he really does like to please
- 19:12Speaker 1: his mum, so I'll take the blame for this one.
- 19:13Speaker 1: She goes, oh, no, no, that was me. I'm sorry.
- 19:16Speaker 1: And so she's like, you know, you really should think
- 19:21Speaker 1: about the electricity yourself. You're wasting. Nina like that's insane,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and so then they go up and they have dinner,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and then he goes, how do you feel about checking
- 19:30Speaker 1: out the attic and she's like yeap, okay. They go
- 19:33Speaker 1: up together, he's holding her hand, and then they go up.
- 19:38Speaker 1: She goes into the attic and she's really scared, and
- 19:41Speaker 1: then she's like, do you mind turning the light on?
- 19:43Speaker 1: He turns the light on and it's like wicked bright.
- 19:46Speaker 1: All right, you can't even look. You have to close
- 19:47Speaker 1: your eyes. It's so bright, and it's so bright she
- 19:50Speaker 1: can barely see door slam shute. No way, bro, bro,
- 19:56Speaker 1: So Andrew is the fucked up one, all right? Now,
- 20:01Speaker 1: Oh my.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Fucking god, bro now now now, no, no, no, Now,
- 20:05Speaker 3: she's freaking the fuck out, all right.
- 20:10Speaker 1: So what he's done is giving himself an insurance policy.
- 20:15Speaker 1: All right. He has made it look like she's the
- 20:17Speaker 1: crazy one. She has admitted to doing this to think
- 20:21Speaker 1: like she is diagnosed crazy. So what he's done now
- 20:25Speaker 1: has made it so he can make her his little pet,
- 20:29Speaker 1: all right. He can do whatever he wants to her.
- 20:32Speaker 1: And what he says to her is this is how
- 20:34Speaker 1: it's gonna work, Nina. All Right, you're gonna be the
- 20:37Speaker 1: perfect wife. Okay, my insurance policy is x y Z.
- 20:42Speaker 1: He's made it impossible for her to get out of this,
- 20:44Speaker 1: all right. And then every time you do something bad,
- 20:47Speaker 1: there will be a punishment, and it will be in
- 20:48Speaker 1: the attic, all right, and every time there will be
- 20:52Speaker 1: a new punishment. So she spends another few days in there,
- 20:56Speaker 1: and she's fucked up, all right. Now. She spends the
- 20:59Speaker 1: next like seven years just going through hell and right,
- 21:04Speaker 1: so she goes through the stage where she tries to
- 21:07Speaker 1: hate him. All right, she puts her in the attic.
- 21:10Speaker 1: She tries to love him. She can't barely. Like it's insane, bro.
- 21:14Speaker 1: She tries to be the perfect wife. At one point
- 21:16Speaker 1: she cop it be the perfect wife, but he'll just
- 21:19Speaker 1: nitty gritty pick the tiniest little thing she does that
- 21:22Speaker 1: isn't perfect, and she goes in the attic for it. Now. Also,
- 21:26Speaker 1: if Cecilia is naughty, Nina goes in the attic. So
- 21:30Speaker 1: then Cecilia starts to notice that whenever she does something
- 21:33Speaker 1: bad that her dad doesn't like, Mum goes away. Cecilia
- 21:37Speaker 1: doesn't know where she goes, but she goes away, and
- 21:38Speaker 1: she doesn't like it when she's gone. So this shit's
- 21:42Speaker 1: fucking crazy. One day she tells like he again, Andrew
- 21:48Speaker 1: has these insurance policies, like she can't tell a soul.
- 21:50Speaker 1: One day she gets drunk and she tells her best
- 21:52Speaker 1: friend Suzanne. She comes home and Suzanne says, you're gonna
- 21:56Speaker 1: get through this. She walks in the door, Andrew's there,
- 22:00Speaker 1: fucked up attic Now, Suzanne told Andrew because every single
- 22:05Speaker 1: time Nina gets a new friend, Andrew has to go
- 22:07Speaker 1: and have a one on one conversation and let them
- 22:09Speaker 1: know what happened with Cecilia. And the reason why she
- 22:12Speaker 1: thinks Cecilia was actually drowning was because he put her
- 22:15Speaker 1: in the attic. But it's a delusion. So if she
- 22:16Speaker 1: tries to tell you any stories to do with an addict,
- 22:18Speaker 1: you have to let me know because that means that
- 22:19Speaker 1: she needs to go back to the hospital. So after
- 22:22Speaker 1: that thing with Susannah hospital, two more months, Well, bro,
- 22:26Speaker 1: this is fucked that, I know. I don't know how
- 22:28Speaker 1: fuck anyone thinks of the shit, So back out. And
- 22:35Speaker 1: it gets to the point where she's like every other
- 22:37Speaker 1: month she gets put in the attic. All right, she's
- 22:39Speaker 1: living in constant fear. Sometimes it can go six months.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Sometimes it's more frequent, like, but she's in the attic
- 22:45Speaker 1: like at least, you know, six times a year. So
- 22:52Speaker 1: one day she comes home and she comes home with Suzanne.
- 22:59Speaker 1: She's still goes and see Suzanne for lunch on Mondays,
- 23:02Speaker 1: and Enzo's working in the yard and Suzanne's gulking at
- 23:08Speaker 1: him and saying like he's so sexy, and Nina's like, yeah,
- 23:11Speaker 1: he's good at what he does. He's obviously he's attractive, yes,
- 23:13Speaker 1: but like he doesn't speak any English's like all the better.
- 23:18Speaker 1: And so she goes in and she says, ah, she's
- 23:19Speaker 1: like chow and zo and he's like and so because
- 23:23Speaker 1: he didn't speak English, she just thinks like, fuck it,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I can just get something off my chest. And she
- 23:28Speaker 1: goes and he's like, how are you whatever? And she goes, oh,
- 23:31Speaker 1: my husband locks me in the attic all the time.
- 23:33Speaker 1: And he's like what. She goes, she thought he didn't understand.
- 23:38Speaker 1: She's like, I need to tell someone what Oh, never mind,
- 23:42Speaker 1: all right. Now, that night she gets locked in the attic,
- 23:46Speaker 1: she does something bad. She's freaking the fuck out at
- 23:51Speaker 1: the moment. The window, the one little window that looks
- 23:55Speaker 1: out in the backyard. She's just looking at it to
- 23:57Speaker 1: get some daylight. Who's out there, Enzo? He sees her
- 24:02Speaker 1: and he's like what the fuck? Drops, everything goes up,
- 24:05Speaker 1: starts banging on the attic door. Nina, what are you
- 24:07Speaker 1: doing in there? What are you doing?
- 24:08Speaker 3: He's English perfect, by the way, perfect, Okay, Nina, what
- 24:13Speaker 3: are you doing?
- 24:13Speaker 1: She goes, please please, no, no, no, no, it's fine, it's fine.
- 24:15Speaker 1: I'm just uppy. He's like, I'm breaking the door down.
- 24:17Speaker 1: She goes, please, I'm begging you know. I'm begging you know.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And so she says, you're gonna make it worse. You're
- 24:21Speaker 1: gonna make it worse. So he says, okay, you want
- 24:24Speaker 1: me to leave? He said, yes, please leave. I've got
- 24:26Speaker 1: this under control. Please leave. He says, okay, but if
- 24:29Speaker 1: you're not back by the morning, I'm coming back and
- 24:31Speaker 1: I'm breaking this door down. So next day he lets
- 24:36Speaker 1: her Andrew lets her out, and that night was a
- 24:39Speaker 1: particularly bad punishment. She had to pepper spray herself because
- 24:42Speaker 1: what she did the night prior was there was one
- 24:45Speaker 1: time where she got put in the attic because she
- 24:47Speaker 1: didn't spray enough air freshener in their room, and so
- 24:49Speaker 1: she makes sure she sprays enough every night, but this
- 24:51Speaker 1: night she just spread a little bit too much, and
- 24:53Speaker 1: he said that it hurt his eyes. So he put
- 24:54Speaker 1: her in the attic and he says, I need you
- 24:56Speaker 1: to pepper spray yourself so you know what it feels like,
- 25:00Speaker 1: I could see you and insane. So now she comes
- 25:06Speaker 1: back and she's all her face is all fucked u
- 25:07Speaker 1: from the pep spray, and Enso is there and he
- 25:11Speaker 1: sees her right so she finally she confides in in Enzo. Right,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I think he kind of is like you, what is
- 25:22Speaker 1: going on? So she tells Enso everything right, Andrew hasn't
- 25:27Speaker 1: vetted Enzo, by the way, and also Enso's seen her
- 25:29Speaker 1: in the attic. She tells Enso everything, and he's like,
- 25:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna kill him, like I'm find he's dead. She goes, no, no, no, no, no,
- 25:36Speaker 1: no no. Right. He tells a small backstory about how
- 25:40Speaker 1: his sister was with a man who was like Andrew,
- 25:43Speaker 1: and one day his sister was dead. So the reason
- 25:49Speaker 1: he has fled his country is because he didn't kill
- 25:52Speaker 1: the man, but he heard him very bad. But that
- 25:54Speaker 1: man was very powerful and he can't go back into
- 25:56Speaker 1: the country because he'll be dead before he even leaves
- 25:57Speaker 1: the airport. So he's stuck in America. I'm gonna kill Andrew.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And then she goes, well, like, let's not do that,
- 26:05Speaker 1: let's do something different. Can you help me? And he's
- 26:10Speaker 1: like yeah, same, and so he goes, You're gonna need
- 26:14Speaker 1: He's like, I can't help you, but I know people
- 26:16Speaker 1: who can. He's you gonna need money, and you're gonna
- 26:19Speaker 1: need passports, new names, everything, and so he's been helping
- 26:25Speaker 1: her with this for a little bit. Right, one day
- 26:27Speaker 1: they go to his apartment and they plan it out
- 26:30Speaker 1: or see he's at school. And then so she has
- 26:37Speaker 1: this whole plan with Enzo. There's one day where they're
- 26:41Speaker 1: about to execute the plan. What they have is the money.
- 26:45Speaker 1: They have the passports and everything, and they have them
- 26:49Speaker 1: in two different safe boxes. She comes home one day
- 26:53Speaker 1: Andrew sitting there with the passports. He's like really, So
- 26:57Speaker 1: he's like, Nina, you didn't think i'd find this shit.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Everything I know everything you do, Nina, all right, you
- 27:04Speaker 1: didn't think I find this shit? And so once again
- 27:09Speaker 1: attic dude, she's getting fucking fucked up in this attic.
- 27:14Speaker 1: So this time, but this time he goes to grab
- 27:19Speaker 1: her and she runs out to her car. She's running
- 27:24Speaker 1: and she drives to Enzo's place. She goes in there
- 27:26Speaker 1: and he's like, what's going on, and she goes, he
- 27:28Speaker 1: found the drop of the lock box, but he didn't
- 27:30Speaker 1: find the mom with the money, and so he's I think.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Now he's like okay, and now I'm gonna kill him.
- 27:35Speaker 1: She goes, no, no, no, no, no, Actually I have a
- 27:38Speaker 1: better idea. So she has a better idea, and her
- 27:43Speaker 1: idea is to find a replacement for Nina. The plan
- 27:47Speaker 1: is in Genie. Yes, so she has to very meticulously
- 27:51Speaker 1: plan this. Okay, So what she does is she hires
- 27:56Speaker 1: a maid, She does her research and the people that apply,
- 28:00Speaker 1: she does lots of deep research on They need to
- 28:02Speaker 1: be desperate, they need to be xyz, they need to
- 28:05Speaker 1: and they need all these things because what Nina's she
- 28:08Speaker 1: knows what she has to do. Nina has to be crazy,
- 28:11Speaker 1: so merely applies. She does a background check on Millie.
- 28:14Speaker 1: She goes, oh my god, prison for ten years. Just
- 28:17Speaker 1: lost her job because they were going to call the
- 28:19Speaker 1: police on her. And she didn't go to prison for anything.
- 28:22Speaker 1: She went to prison for murder. She did it when
- 28:26Speaker 1: she was sixteen, and she was tried a mine as
- 28:28Speaker 1: a minor, so she only got ten years. What she
- 28:30Speaker 1: did was she was in college. She was at a
- 28:34Speaker 1: party and a football player was coming onto one of
- 28:36Speaker 1: her friends and was about to sexually assault her. So
- 28:39Speaker 1: she goes in. She picks up a paperweight and beats
- 28:41Speaker 1: the man to death. Goes to jail. Now she doesn't
- 28:47Speaker 1: want to go back to jail, so she hires Millie
- 28:51Speaker 1: and everything's going to plan. She said, what I need
- 28:54Speaker 1: is her and Andrew need to be in the same
- 28:58Speaker 1: room bonding over something. Right. So for the last couple
- 29:03Speaker 1: of weeks, Nina's just been crazy to Andrew. And then
- 29:06Speaker 1: Andrew comes home and finds out she's hired Milly and
- 29:08Speaker 1: Millie's living in the attic and he's like, what the
- 29:10Speaker 1: fuck are you doing? They're in the garage and he
- 29:12Speaker 1: grabs her by the arm. She's like, what the fuck
- 29:13Speaker 1: are you doing by her right now? What do you
- 29:15Speaker 1: think you're doing? You put her in the attic. You
- 29:16Speaker 1: could at least put her in the fucking guest room.
- 29:19Speaker 1: And she's like, no, no, no, no, what if your mum
- 29:20Speaker 1: wants to stay, Like she's not gonna sleep on the
- 29:22Speaker 1: lounge right, And he's like, she's not staying here, and
- 29:26Speaker 1: she goes, you can buy her then, and he's like, okay,
- 29:28Speaker 1: I will tomorrow now next day, all right. This is
- 29:34Speaker 1: when Nina is It's Millie's first morning, and this is
- 29:37Speaker 1: when Nina he's like throwing everything from the fucking fridge
- 29:41Speaker 1: onto the ground and making a huge mess. Right. So
- 29:48Speaker 1: that's when she got Andrew and Milli to bond, and
- 29:51Speaker 1: she knew from then on because she's like saying, you know,
- 29:55Speaker 1: what'd you do with my notes? And she feels really
- 29:56Speaker 1: bad for blaming Milli for this, but she has to
- 29:58Speaker 1: do what she has to do just keep her daughter safe. Whatever.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Now everything worked out perfectly.
- 30:06Speaker 2: It was opening seeing like two different povs. Yeah, and
- 30:11Speaker 2: then everything Nina did for this, and also how the
- 30:15Speaker 2: psych medication and everything made Nina put on weight, and
- 30:18Speaker 2: like everything is like fuck, there's always two sides of
- 30:20Speaker 2: the story.
- 30:22Speaker 1: So everything worked out perfect. Lee Ceci goes to summer camp,
- 30:27Speaker 1: so she's far away from Andrew because that was another
- 30:29Speaker 1: one of his insurance policies was he'll hurt Cec if
- 30:31Speaker 1: Nina tries to get away. Now she knows that they're
- 30:36Speaker 1: in Manhattan, she knows they slept together. Perfect, she makes
- 30:40Speaker 1: Andrew leave her. She's like, finally I'm free. So she
- 30:44Speaker 1: goes and picks Cecy up from the summer camp. She's like,
- 30:48Speaker 1: what do you want to do? Where do you want
- 30:49Speaker 1: to go? You know Dad's not coming with us. Cecy's
- 30:53Speaker 1: like fuck yes. She goes to Enzo's place to thank him,
- 30:56Speaker 1: and then she's like, Nina, we have to help Millie
- 30:59Speaker 1: she's like, no, I refuse, I'm done. I'm not holding
- 31:01Speaker 1: Millie now. From here, each chapter is a different POV.
- 31:05Speaker 1: We go back to Millie's POV. She's stuck in the
- 31:09Speaker 1: attic all right, Andrew comes in the morning. She's like,
- 31:13Speaker 1: what the fuck are you doing? And he's like, do
- 31:16Speaker 1: you see those books I left in the room. Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 1: She's like yeah, yeah, she's like yeah. He's like, well, Millie,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you left those books out and that's very rude. Those
- 31:32Speaker 1: are my books. She's like yes, so we'll put them
- 31:34Speaker 1: back whatever, and he goes, nah, you need to be
- 31:37Speaker 1: punished for this, all right, Oh my Dave, you need
- 31:41Speaker 1: to be punished for this. And when you put those
- 31:43Speaker 1: books on your stomach for three hours, of course, she's like,
- 31:47Speaker 1: the fuck is wrong with you? No, and so then
- 31:50Speaker 1: he fucks off. He does the exact same thing to
- 31:53Speaker 1: Millie that he did to Nina. So she's like, I'm
- 31:57Speaker 1: fucking busting for a piss dude, Like there's a bucket
- 32:00Speaker 1: in there for her, So she's like what the hell.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So finally she's in there for two days, she does
- 32:08Speaker 1: the three books, and he goes, yeah, you did it,
- 32:10Speaker 1: but you're five minutes short. You have to do it again.
- 32:14Speaker 1: So she goes, fuck fuck you. She does it again
- 32:19Speaker 1: for three hours and ten minutes. She finds out there's
- 32:21Speaker 1: a camera in there, and that's how he knows. So
- 32:23Speaker 1: she's like, okay, cool. So he comes in in the
- 32:27Speaker 1: morning and she's fucked up, dehydrated. The books. She's bruising
- 32:30Speaker 1: on the stoma because the books are heavy books. Heavy books,
- 32:32Speaker 1: three hours, heavy books six hours altogether. And so he
- 32:37Speaker 1: comes in and he's like, all right, you know, brings
- 32:42Speaker 1: a glass of water. She necks that thing. I thought
- 32:44Speaker 1: she was going to be drugged, and she's like, he goes,
- 32:48Speaker 1: all right, this how it's gonna work, Millie. You're going
- 32:50Speaker 1: to do everything I say. If you need to be punished,
- 32:53Speaker 1: you're gonna come up here, all right. But if you
- 32:57Speaker 1: do what I say, you don't if you go back
- 32:58Speaker 1: to prison. He thinks, he thinks he's got it. He
- 33:01Speaker 1: does all right, he thinks he's got her, and really
- 33:03Speaker 1: goes fuck that. She's like, this is an inner monologue moment.
- 33:11Speaker 1: She goes, I get the pepper spread but that I
- 33:12Speaker 1: found in the bucket out of my pocket, and I
- 33:14Speaker 1: spray and point blank in the eyes, and so Andrew's
- 33:20Speaker 1: fucked up from the pepper spray, and then he drops
- 33:23Speaker 1: his phone. She picks it up, dips out of the room,
- 33:26Speaker 1: closes the door, locks it with the key that Nina
- 33:29Speaker 1: gave her. All right, oh my days. And he's like, merely,
- 33:33Speaker 1: what the fuck? She goes, hey, games the game? Yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 1: how's your own medicine taste? Yeah, and he's like Milli.
- 33:40Speaker 1: He's like, really, get me out of here right now.
- 33:41Speaker 1: He's furious. She's like, give me out of your road shit.
- 33:44Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, yeah, I love her demeanor. Yeah, she's
- 33:50Speaker 1: just she's like, I'm good. Yeah, I don't think I will.
- 33:55Speaker 1: She goes, look, I will let you out, obviously, I'm
- 33:58Speaker 1: going to let you out, but just not right now.
- 34:00Speaker 1: All right, So here's what's going to happen. I want
- 34:03Speaker 1: you to lay down, and you see those books. I
- 34:09Speaker 1: want you to put them on your stomach for three hours.
- 34:13Speaker 1: And she's got his phone. She's looking at his camera.
- 34:15Speaker 1: She's looking at him. He's furious, and he's like, don't
- 34:18Speaker 1: be stupid. She goes, what are you talking about? I'm
- 34:20Speaker 1: being dead serious. So he lays down, he puts the
- 34:22Speaker 1: books on his stuff. He goes, fine, I'll play your games,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and the books don't really do anything to him because
- 34:27Speaker 1: he's so much bigger. She goes, no, put him lower,
- 34:30Speaker 1: and he's like, are you serious. She goes a bit lower,
- 34:33Speaker 1: a bit lower, until they're resting on his dick and balls,
- 34:36Speaker 1: and he's like, this is fucked Meally, I can't do this.
- 34:38Speaker 1: She goes, well, just three hours, time will be you know,
- 34:40Speaker 1: I'll be back. She goes down, makes herself something to eat.
- 34:43Speaker 1: She's just chilling watching TV looking at the camera. He
- 34:46Speaker 1: does it, He fully does it, and then she goes up.
- 34:50Speaker 1: He's fucked up, and he's like, all right, let me out.
- 34:54Speaker 1: She goes, here's the thing. I think you misheard me.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Three hours I said five. He's like, Milli, I can't, Millie, seriously,
- 35:05Speaker 1: I can't. I can't. Can I at least have some water?
- 35:08Speaker 1: I gave you water. She goes, yeah, you'll be fine.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I should have thought of that when you want me
- 35:14Speaker 1: in here.
- 35:14Speaker 3: I should have bought some water for yourself. Got a
- 35:17Speaker 3: plan for these things, Andrew and I was like, fuck, yeah,
- 35:20Speaker 3: that's bro so and then she leaves again. She goes
- 35:25Speaker 3: and she spends the night in the in the guest room,
- 35:27Speaker 3: she wakes up. She checks camera, he's not there. She's
- 35:29Speaker 3: freaking out. Then he rolls over.
- 35:31Speaker 1: He's in the bed. He's there. He did the thing.
- 35:33Speaker 1: He fucking left him on his junk for five hours.
- 35:36Speaker 1: So she goes She's like, fuck, what do I even do?
- 35:39Speaker 1: He obviously I can't let him out because he's gonna
- 35:41Speaker 1: kill me. So she's like, what do I do? He shit?
- 35:44Speaker 1: She goes down. She gets some tools from the garage.
- 35:46Speaker 1: She goes back up. She's like, Andrew, you're awake, and
- 35:50Speaker 1: he's like, Millie, let me the fuck out of here.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I'll give you a million dollars. She's like, man, he goes,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I'll give you two million dollars. She's like, in her head,
- 36:01Speaker 1: he's not gonna give me that money because that's a lot.
- 36:04Speaker 1: She has some pliers. She slides the pliers underneath the door.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You can see these. I want you to use these,
- 36:11Speaker 1: all right, to pull out one of your teeth, and
- 36:14Speaker 1: he says, fuck off. He gets angry. He starts body
- 36:18Speaker 1: slamming the door, trying to break the door down. Doesn't budge.
- 36:22Speaker 1: She's going, hey, once you pull out one of your teeth,
- 36:25Speaker 1: I will let you out. And by the way you're
- 36:27Speaker 1: gonna keep in mind he's going crazy because he's been
- 36:29Speaker 1: in there for two days, dehydrated, fucking, barely sleeping, bruised nuts.
- 36:34Speaker 2: I was thinking she was gonna let him out.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I was all thinking. So she's like, yeah, pull out
- 36:42Speaker 1: one of your teeth. So he goes and he does it.
- 36:44Speaker 1: All right. Back to Nina Pov and she's at her
- 36:48Speaker 1: hotel and she's sorry, she hasn't picked up CC yet.
- 36:51Speaker 1: By the way, I've did that in wrong order. But still,
- 36:53Speaker 1: so she's at a hotel, She's gonna go pick up CC.
- 36:56Speaker 1: The next day, Enzo knocks comes in. This was us
- 37:00Speaker 1: was weird as he fucks her brains out. Yeah, fucks
- 37:03Speaker 1: her brains out, if.
- 37:05Speaker 2: You gotta do it, put de Kelly, Yeah, yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. Then the next day she picks up Ceci.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Then she goes to see Enzo. That's when he says, no, no, no,
- 37:13Speaker 1: we need to help her now. He is like one,
- 37:19Speaker 1: like we need to need to need to. Then she
- 37:23Speaker 1: says no, leaves. A couple of days later, gets called Fmenzo.
- 37:26Speaker 1: She goes. He's like, please, please, Needa, we need to
- 37:28Speaker 1: help me. She hasn't left the house in three days.
- 37:30Speaker 1: She's like, you don't understand. He's gonna be a good
- 37:33Speaker 1: boyfriend and a good husband. He's not doing anything to
- 37:35Speaker 1: her yet. She's like, no, I put a mark on
- 37:37Speaker 1: her car and she hasn't left in three days. The
- 37:39Speaker 1: mark on her car on her wheel hasn't moved, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: like she's going, okay, what the fuck? So she says, fine,
- 37:46Speaker 1: but on one condition, you need to look after Ceci.
- 37:50Speaker 1: So Nina goes to the house, tries ring the doorbell,
- 37:53Speaker 1: no one answers, uses her key, goes in. She's scared
- 37:56Speaker 1: as fuck, goes up to the attic, goes up. No
- 37:58Speaker 1: one's home. She's like, knocking on the door, Milli, I'm here.
- 38:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna get you out. Millie, it's okay, I'm here
- 38:03Speaker 1: to save you. Opens the door. Andrew's in there, unconscious, bruised, nuts,
- 38:09Speaker 1: five teeth missing, all right. She looks at him. He's
- 38:13Speaker 1: not moving, he's not breathing. All right.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I thought she was going to open it. Andrew's still alive. Yeah,
- 38:20Speaker 2: and takes it and then she gets trapped again, and
- 38:22Speaker 2: Millie's gone, yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 38:23Speaker 1: So she's like fuck, now, hmm, little did So we
- 38:31Speaker 1: find out that she actually did hire Millie to kill Andrewah.
- 38:35Speaker 1: She didn't think she'd actually do it. She's like, fuck.
- 38:39Speaker 1: And then she says she hears someone say, hey, Nina,
- 38:41Speaker 1: pepper spray in her face and it's Millie. She's like,
- 38:44Speaker 1: whoa fuck, no, no, no, I'm here to save you,
- 38:46Speaker 1: like I swear I'm going to save you. Blah blah blah.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Because Millie still doesn't know if Nina's crazy or not,
- 38:49Speaker 1: and so she's like, he's dead and Milly's like, I
- 38:53Speaker 1: don't know, hasn't now, Like how long can someone last
- 38:55Speaker 1: without water? She goes, I don't know, let me check
- 38:57Speaker 1: checks his pulse. He's dead. Millie's freaking out. She goes, fuck,
- 39:01Speaker 1: I don't want to go back to our prison. Fuck.
- 39:03Speaker 1: And so Nina is a feeling all bad for me
- 39:05Speaker 1: because she put her in this situation. So she's like, merely, leaf,
- 39:08Speaker 1: you have to leave. Leave, I'll call the cops and
- 39:13Speaker 1: I'll tell them that I sent you on vacation for
- 39:15Speaker 1: a week, all right. So the cops come Nina's downstairs,
- 39:20Speaker 1: and so from the very pro that prologue at the
- 39:22Speaker 1: start of the book, where the CoP's talking to someone,
- 39:23Speaker 1: they're talking to Nina. She's chilling, and so she's really scared.
- 39:27Speaker 1: She's like, I'm obviously going to prison. Cecilia's with Enzo,
- 39:30Speaker 1: she'll be safe, but everyone thinks I'm psycho. Now. The
- 39:33Speaker 1: constable that was upstairs comes downstairs, or the detective or whatever,
- 39:37Speaker 1: and he's like, so you're telling me that he accidentally
- 39:42Speaker 1: got locked up there died from dehydration. But he's missing
- 39:47Speaker 1: five teeth and has a bruises all over his genitals,
- 39:50Speaker 1: and she's like, yep, you know it's about what yeah,
- 39:56Speaker 1: And he goes, okay, okay, well all right, and then
- 40:01Speaker 1: he leans down into area and he goes, I came
- 40:06Speaker 1: here about a year ago, and it's interesting, my daughter
- 40:14Speaker 1: actually used to be your husband's fiance. And Nina's like, whoa.
- 40:19Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, her name's Kathleen. The breakup was very
- 40:23Speaker 1: hard on her. She actually moved away and changed her identity.
- 40:31Speaker 1: So I tried to do some digging about who X was,
- 40:36Speaker 1: but all sorts of files were covered up because the
- 40:39Speaker 1: Winchesters have lots of friends in high places. He goes,
- 40:42Speaker 1: I got transferred here, and to me, I gotta say,
- 40:48Speaker 1: it looks like he did just get locked up there
- 40:50Speaker 1: and died from dehydration. He says, I'm not friends with
- 40:54Speaker 1: the Winchesters, and I got a friend down at the
- 40:57Speaker 1: morgue and I was like, fuck, yes, bro.
- 41:02Speaker 3: So now we're at the funeral. Yes, Mellly's gone, Like
- 41:05Speaker 3: Mellie's chilling. We're at the funeral.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Nina's there, pretending to be a sad housewife, and she's there.
- 41:11Speaker 1: She's like fucking oath, like, I'm so happy to be
- 41:13Speaker 1: away from this. And Andrew's parents rock up and it's
- 41:17Speaker 1: just her and Andrew's mum at the casket looking at
- 41:20Speaker 1: Andrew and you can see the missing teeth and stuff.
- 41:22Speaker 1: And then Andrew's mum starts to talk and she's like, hmm, sad.
- 41:27Speaker 1: But I always tried to teach him about good dental hygiene,
- 41:33Speaker 1: you know, and well, I tried to teach him what
- 41:38Speaker 1: a privilege it was to have teeth, and I thought
- 41:41Speaker 1: it really would have been cemented in that one time
- 41:43Speaker 1: he didn't brush his teeth. When I pulled out one
- 41:45Speaker 1: of his teeth, and Nina's like, what the fuck. So
- 41:49Speaker 1: it turns out he's like that because his mum was
- 41:53Speaker 1: like that. And that's the end of the book, and
- 41:55Speaker 1: then there's an epilogue. All right, and I assume that
- 41:57Speaker 1: this is booked too. The epilogue is merely at an
- 42:00Speaker 1: interview to be another house made for a rich family,
- 42:03Speaker 1: and she's like, so this lady called Millie, and Milly
- 42:10Speaker 1: was like yeah, yeah, yeah, and she goes, yeah, look,
- 42:12Speaker 1: Nina Winchester, she couldn't recommend you more highly. She goes, oh, oh,
- 42:18Speaker 1: that's very nice of her. And this lady's like, yeah,
- 42:21Speaker 1: so it would be a living house position. There'll be
- 42:23Speaker 1: some cooking, some cleaning, some general you know, maid stuff,
- 42:26Speaker 1: being a nanny. And then she walks over to the knives.
- 42:29Speaker 1: She picks a knife up, and Millie is like really uncomfortable.
- 42:31Speaker 1: She's like, what the hell She's like twiddling this knife.
- 42:34Speaker 1: She's like yeah, you know, and as she's doing it,
- 42:37Speaker 1: she's like tussling. This lady's like tussling her blouse down
- 42:40Speaker 1: and you can see on her arms are bruises from
- 42:44Speaker 1: fingers from her husband. And so she's like so, and
- 42:48Speaker 1: Millie's like catching onto what's happening here. She's like, so, yeah,
- 42:52Speaker 1: Nina obviously really highly recommended you. I'd love to know
- 42:54Speaker 1: when you can start like do you think you could
- 42:55Speaker 1: help me with this problem? And Millie goes, yeah, I
- 43:00Speaker 1: think I can book sense crazy dude.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Sorry, I told you i'd make it quick, but it
- 43:06Speaker 3: was a lot of like I left a lot out.
- 43:07Speaker 1: It was thirty chapters. To be fair, you did great.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Oh oh okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 43:13Speaker 1: So take a break, my friend.
- 43:16Speaker 2: You want to do thoughts and Feelings and I'll start.
- 43:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Ah, as I say at the start, thoughts and feelings
- 43:23Speaker 2: were edgier seat type stuff. But for me, wrong edgier
- 43:30Speaker 2: seat and I just it made me squirmish. I had
- 43:34Speaker 2: everything about it, but I was entertained.
- 43:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I hated everything about it as well.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Also, I couldn't see a single thing coming normally, I
- 43:40Speaker 2: think my predictions are somewhat decent.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Couldn't see a single thing. The only thing I think
- 43:44Speaker 1: that we got correct was that Andrew has a dark side.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, who thinks of this stuff?
- 43:53Speaker 1: Man? Oh? Psychological thrillers, I don't do you think you
- 43:55Speaker 1: could read another one? Or you didn't mind it? Ah?
- 44:00Speaker 1: I think I could only read them if they're this size, true,
- 44:03Speaker 1: like if there was one that was a size like
- 44:04Speaker 1: an akatar.
- 44:04Speaker 2: But I like sex law like, I know there's some
- 44:08Speaker 2: gruesome shit in that, but I feel safe.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I want this is what I want. I want.
- 44:13Speaker 1: I want. I want the main character to be like
- 44:20Speaker 1: unknowingly beautiful, all right, She's like I see, yeah, okay,
- 44:25Speaker 1: and then she gets trapped in a magical world and
- 44:28Speaker 1: the fucking princes of this world sweeps her up and
- 44:32Speaker 1: it's gonna make her his slave, but then falls in
- 44:34Speaker 1: love with her. And I want there to be world
- 44:37Speaker 1: building and characters on characters and love triangles, and I
- 44:41Speaker 1: want there to be enemies to lovers, and I want
- 44:45Speaker 1: there to be the world to be in threats, like
- 44:47Speaker 1: I don't want any of this shit.
- 44:49Speaker 2: No, you know what in a movie how it's like
- 44:51Speaker 2: this is based on a true story. Obviously this wasn't,
- 44:54Speaker 2: but it felt like when you're reading it, and it
- 44:56Speaker 2: makes it so much scarier, more gruesome, Like I was
- 44:59Speaker 2: traveling I think a bed, thinking I'm scared.
- 45:01Speaker 1: It's fucked. This is fucked. So I don't know if
- 45:04Speaker 1: we've read enough books to be able to give ratings
- 45:06Speaker 1: on books or say like whether a book is good
- 45:09Speaker 1: or not. I assume this book is widely considered to
- 45:12Speaker 1: be good, but I think it's now coming to me
- 45:15Speaker 1: that I didn't dislike it. But I didn't like it.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I think it comes back to like that.
- 45:26Speaker 2: I don't know if it's a stereotype, but how women
- 45:29Speaker 2: like crime podcasts and like crime TV.
- 45:32Speaker 1: I think it comes back to that. That's where it
- 45:34Speaker 1: stems from. Yeah, I that's.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Why the rating is so high, and we don't.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Like that stuff. I was a little I think one
- 45:41Speaker 1: thing I did think it kind of highlighted pretty well,
- 45:45Speaker 1: oh problems for sure, was like some pretty major issues,
- 45:48Speaker 1: like how it wasn't even just the fact that Nina
- 45:52Speaker 1: was portrayed to be crazy by Andrew, but and like
- 45:55Speaker 1: he manufactured that, but it was just the fact that
- 45:57Speaker 1: like she was a woman was another reason everyone like
- 46:01Speaker 1: she highlighted a lot that the fact that she was
- 46:03Speaker 1: a woman, and like the only people she could speak
- 46:05Speaker 1: to in the situation that Andrew manufactured was men, so
- 46:09Speaker 1: no one really listened. And then also just the fact
- 46:11Speaker 1: that like Andrew being a super attractive rich man could
- 46:15Speaker 1: get in the heads of people very easily, and so
- 46:19Speaker 1: you could just like very much tell it was just
- 46:22Speaker 1: like a massive power struggle.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't take it in my consideration. What I
- 46:27Speaker 2: was about to say, was like.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Yeah, how powerless.
- 46:32Speaker 2: How well highlighted the powerless of being a woman can be.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it was highlighted in that very well kind
- 46:39Speaker 1: of from the beginning of like and like how she
- 46:42Speaker 1: had zero options. Yeah, even though you feel like she Yeah,
- 46:48Speaker 1: I know it's a book and stuff, but to me,
- 46:50Speaker 1: like just the fact that like even the guy, like
- 46:54Speaker 1: the only one that could save her was Enzo and
- 46:57Speaker 1: then that lieutenant detective that you know, I had friends
- 47:00Speaker 1: at the Morgan shit, Like, it's just yeah, it was crazy,
- 47:05Speaker 1: and I was just like, yes, fucking fucked up. It
- 47:08Speaker 1: just highlights it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it just also
- 47:10Speaker 1: highlights the fact that often men are the psycho ones,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you know, and she had to play the part of
- 47:19Speaker 1: being a psychopath to get out of it. Yeah.
- 47:22Speaker 2: I think maybe not the best use of vocovery, but
- 47:25Speaker 2: the whole thing's just fucked up.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Yeah, for lack of a better word, Yeah, it's fucking collapsed.
- 47:31Speaker 2: You said, we probably haven't read enough books, especially we
- 47:34Speaker 2: haven't read enough psychological thrillers to give a ratiting, but
- 47:36Speaker 2: I think we just still give one.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Yeah, Like I just I was thinking to myself, like
- 47:40Speaker 1: have I read enough books to be able to say
- 47:42Speaker 1: tell someone whether or not a book is good or bad.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Everything's opinions, though everything's everything's Yeah.
- 47:47Speaker 2: We got a lot of comments saying this is a
- 47:49Speaker 2: really good book, But to me, what makes up a
- 47:52Speaker 2: really good book isn't this?
- 47:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's also the genre, huge fans of
- 47:58Speaker 1: the genre, so I again, yeah. Another thing that another
- 48:05Speaker 1: way I think they highlighted this, like kind of patriarchy world,
- 48:10Speaker 1: is the fact that merely she was defending a friend
- 48:15Speaker 1: from being raped, she went too far. She killed someone,
- 48:20Speaker 1: right was he can't kill people, but so she was
- 48:22Speaker 1: defending someone because she says it in there, she's like, Okay,
- 48:27Speaker 1: I'm not advocating for murder, but she's like, who knows
- 48:30Speaker 1: how many girls I just saved by accidentally killing him.
- 48:33Speaker 1: And then there was another thing where a she got
- 48:38Speaker 1: the reason she got sent to like a boarding school
- 48:41Speaker 1: for troubled youths is because she slashed a male teacher's
- 48:45Speaker 1: tires because the male teacher said he'd give her a
- 48:48Speaker 1: bad grade unless she let him feel her up when
- 48:51Speaker 1: she was young, and that's why she slashed his tires.
- 48:53Speaker 1: But then no one believed her story. They only believed
- 48:55Speaker 1: his story, and then when she got out of jail,
- 48:58Speaker 1: the reason she got fired from the bar she was
- 49:00Speaker 1: working out is because there was one bartender that also
- 49:03Speaker 1: worked there that was always touching her bum and one
- 49:05Speaker 1: day she just turned around and punched him in the face,
- 49:08Speaker 1: and everyone believed his story and not her story. And
- 49:10Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, it's just like kind of highlighting
- 49:12Speaker 1: a bit. How Yeah, it's like as much as everyone
- 49:15Speaker 1: thinks women have a voice these days, they still don't
- 49:18Speaker 1: have a huge voice. Yeah, And it was like I
- 49:21Speaker 1: was just it was like realizing it as I was
- 49:22Speaker 1: reading it, and I was like, yeah, that's kind of
- 49:24Speaker 1: fucking fucked.
- 49:25Speaker 2: Yeah, she's done brilliantly in that aspect. Yeah, And I
- 49:28Speaker 2: think taking into my consideration, okay, readability for me six however.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Or really I think readability in terms of it just
- 49:40Speaker 1: was not that many words, true, so easy for that,
- 49:43Speaker 1: but then in terms of readability of like.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my sixth but the ability to highlight such
- 49:50Speaker 2: issues within a book that is a book, yeah, I'm
- 49:53Speaker 2: going to put overall rating eight. Yeah, I would say
- 49:58Speaker 2: the same because it makes starts the conversations or brings
- 50:01Speaker 2: to light issues obviously that are going around in a book.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I would agree. I do think that the fact
- 50:07Speaker 1: that so I think, yeah, I think the fact that
- 50:09Speaker 1: some very real life issues were portrayed in the book.
- 50:14Speaker 1: And I guess also the fact that I noticed is like, yeah,
- 50:20Speaker 1: it was worth the read. Yeah, I think it was
- 50:22Speaker 1: worth the read for sure. Yeah, I would give it
- 50:23Speaker 1: like a solid seven eight.
- 50:25Speaker 2: I'm struggling to put into words like my reading experience
- 50:29Speaker 2: of a sense of like I didn't enjoy it that much,
- 50:31Speaker 2: but I can also I also like appreciated.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Its way to say it. Yeah, it's kind of hard,
- 50:36Speaker 1: Like I found it jarring how much how psycho Nina was,
- 50:44Speaker 1: and then it's like, obviously everything's made up for that
- 50:49Speaker 1: because of the circumstances. And then I found it jarring
- 50:54Speaker 1: how psycho Andrew was and then merely kills in. I'm like, fuck,
- 50:58Speaker 1: yeah he's dead. Whatever.
- 51:00Speaker 3: But I just like, I just don't know if I
- 51:02Speaker 3: enjoy this type of book.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I don't think I can't do it to myself. Yeah,
- 51:08Speaker 1: the psychological thrillers are maybe maybe a murder mystery could
- 51:12Speaker 1: be a good next stume. That's what I was thinking
- 51:15Speaker 1: it was.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I also didn't do my research, like probably.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Needed did I? I just thought that there was a
- 51:20Speaker 1: movie coming out. I do want to watch the movie still. Oh,
- 51:23Speaker 1: definitely watched the movie.
- 51:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but oh I'm.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Happy we did it. Say so, I have a question
- 51:29Speaker 1: for all the baddies. Right if it's gonna depends on
- 51:36Speaker 1: how many comments we get on this video, but I
- 51:38Speaker 1: did want to put it out there. We spoke about
- 51:39Speaker 1: it and it baddie commented it on Patreon. They said
- 51:43Speaker 1: like Housemaid watch party question Mark. So I was thinking,
- 51:51Speaker 1: how could we watch The Housemaid with the baddies? I
- 51:55Speaker 1: texted you, did you? Yeah? Did you say we could?
- 51:58Speaker 1: We could hire out a whole theater? You we could? Yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 1: it wouldn't be if you fucking I wonder how much
- 52:02Speaker 1: that costs. Can they give you a discount of people
- 52:03Speaker 1: some on our story? Yeah? True, we could like get
- 52:05Speaker 1: in touch with the theaterrem So I think what I
- 52:07Speaker 1: want to ask is Sydney based or if you're willing
- 52:10Speaker 1: to come to Sydney, comment if you will come and
- 52:15Speaker 1: watch the house Made with us? Because instead of going
- 52:17Speaker 1: to the premiere, I'd happily wait and watch it with
- 52:19Speaker 1: the baddies.
- 52:20Speaker 2: Agreed, Agreed, Yeah, it could be a sense of we
- 52:23Speaker 2: go do both to get that. Yeah, but we could
- 52:27Speaker 2: figure something out. I think I think be fucking sick
- 52:29Speaker 2: because worst casing work, because obviously we would love to
- 52:33Speaker 2: do it in a sense of like live reactions to it,
- 52:35Speaker 2: but there's a lot of licensing issues.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Yeah, if you were just way sick of to just
- 52:38Speaker 1: watch it with fifty batties, yeah, yeah, and talk about
- 52:42Speaker 1: it after and ship Yeah, fu we can somehow people
- 52:44Speaker 1: in a movie theater. You can fit hundreds, hundreds, it
- 52:47Speaker 1: depends which one you go away. Yeah, I'd like to
- 52:49Speaker 1: keep it small because you.
- 52:50Speaker 2: Could also do an intimate one in a sense of
- 52:52Speaker 2: I'm sure there's theaters like that, but near where we
- 52:54Speaker 2: live there's like a little intimate one and they get
- 52:55Speaker 2: showing the shit and you can hide that out easily
- 52:57Speaker 2: hundred percent.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we can find it because I'm.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Wonder if you could just get the licensing to it
- 53:00Speaker 2: about Oh, we want to go this year. It's got
- 53:02Speaker 2: fifty people, can we have it?
- 53:03Speaker 1: Ah? Yeah, about it anyway, We'll figure out logistics, we'll
- 53:07Speaker 1: talk about management, but just comment if you would love
- 53:10Speaker 1: to come watch.
- 53:11Speaker 2: It with us. Yeah, yeah, let's get a little bit
- 53:12Speaker 2: of a gauge to see anyway. But Jake, the question
- 53:19Speaker 2: that everyone is here for, yes, is what series slash
- 53:24Speaker 2: book are we reading next?
- 53:29Speaker 1: Do you want to do the honors or do you want.
- 53:32Speaker 2: I think you should do it?
- 53:34Speaker 1: Count me down, three, two, one, Fourth Wing. Let's go.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Four Wing, and I know we get that many d
- 53:46Speaker 2: ms on the daily saying read fourth Wing, Read Fourth Wing.
- 53:49Speaker 1: And I think it's going to be Jake Bredt.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Brought up a good point before when we were talking,
- 53:53Speaker 2: like some people are very Rebecca Garis or j Mass
- 53:59Speaker 2: and because we are such nubes, we want to give
- 54:02Speaker 2: both of them a proper chance. We know Fourth Wing
- 54:04Speaker 2: isn't finished, but also Akata will have finished, and let's
- 54:07Speaker 2: just see what happens.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Should we give the reasoning? Also, it's because you guys
- 54:11Speaker 2: voted obviously, Oh everyone voted. Any reasonings behind we didn't
- 54:14Speaker 2: go with Crescent City or Throne of Glass.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Well, we would have gone Crescent City if it one. Yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 1: but we we want some smut, yeah all right, and
- 54:23Speaker 1: nothing against Throne of Glass, but we will read it
- 54:25Speaker 1: one day. We're just like, we have a hankering for
- 54:27Speaker 1: some smut now after not having schmut for this short book.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and also fourth thing to how many books in
- 54:34Speaker 2: fourthing three free is a lot better than like fucking eight.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Apparently there's supposed to be five and there's so there's
- 54:40Speaker 1: two more coming out, but she's just like, hasn't even
- 54:42Speaker 1: written them.
- 54:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm really good because we've never had anything to
- 54:45Speaker 2: compare it to where we have Akatan.
- 54:47Speaker 1: It's going to take a lot to beat that for me. Yeah,
- 54:50Speaker 1: for me. In terms of comparing the series, it's gonna
- 54:52Speaker 1: I don't read.
- 54:53Speaker 2: I like that comparison because there's a different author similar
- 54:56Speaker 2: is she vibe Yeap, But we have a comparison, so
- 54:58Speaker 2: the sort of synopsis will be a lot better.
- 55:01Speaker 1: And the question is who is the main shadow Daddy?
- 55:05Speaker 1: What's this guy's name? I don't even know?
- 55:08Speaker 2: Zayden Zayden okay okay.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Spelt really cool as well spelt x A.
- 55:12Speaker 2: But also we like Cassian, not Recan. So yeah, we
- 55:16Speaker 2: like and everyone was like shadow Daddy, but also we
- 55:19Speaker 2: just like Cassian.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Also Asrael's sexy.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Asrael's a shadow Daddy. Anyway, Apparently Book of Asrael is
- 55:24Speaker 2: meant to be really good. It has nothing to do
- 55:25Speaker 2: with Akatar, but has raving reviews. Throwing it out there
- 55:29Speaker 2: for the future.
- 55:30Speaker 1: All Right, you had it here first. Next week we'll
- 55:32Speaker 1: be ten chapters deep into fourth Wing. Ten chapters. Here's
- 55:35Speaker 1: another question is how many chapters do you Yeah?
- 55:38Speaker 2: Also comments, a lot of comments is do you like
- 55:41Speaker 2: Jag doing a big synopsis or we could do more chapters,
- 55:44Speaker 2: less detailed because you're reading along, you.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Know what fucking happened.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like there's a different way to do it
- 55:49Speaker 2: and we want to do the best by you. We
- 55:51Speaker 2: could do way more thoughts and feelings and then also
- 55:53Speaker 2: little games to do with the shadow daddies with a lot.
- 55:57Speaker 1: To compare to. Yeah, we'll get creative. Let us know
- 55:59Speaker 1: what you like. Stay bad. We love you.
