- 0:55Speaker 3: the Bench here in the Capital City, Taylor Sharpe with
- 0:58Speaker 3: elandra Vilarale Braxton Risuta inside the Raisin Kanes Studio. Wednesdays,
- 1:03Speaker 3: Off the Bench brought to you buy the folks over
- 1:06Speaker 3: at Hood Dental Busy hours one and two for us
- 1:10Speaker 3: here in the show, we hit a little bit of
- 1:12Speaker 3: everything coming up next segment. Actually, Devin snow Holde Mayo
- 1:17Speaker 3: will join us. Normally joins us Monday at nine fifteen.
- 1:20Speaker 3: He pushed it back to Wednesday due to the craziness
- 1:24Speaker 3: of all the Marti Gras festivities going on in New Orleans.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Right now.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I want to look at something at ESPN dot com
- 1:34Speaker 3: put out yesterday.
- 1:36Speaker 1: They put out.
- 1:36Speaker 3: The top transfer portal additions for each top twenty five school.
- 1:41Speaker 3: You go down the list, you see a number of
- 1:44Speaker 3: big name guys.
- 1:45Speaker 1: For LSU.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Surprise, surprise, they have quarterback Sam Levitt obvious choice, no
- 1:51Speaker 3: real surprise here. He was the top quarterback in the portal,
- 1:56Speaker 3: immediate impact starter if fully healthy, and he'll thrive in
- 2:00Speaker 3: Kiffin's offense. Go look at what he did a year ago,
- 2:03Speaker 3: and when you look at the raw numbers, you know,
- 2:04Speaker 3: I mean, it's nothing that's going to jump off the
- 2:06Speaker 3: page at you.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But he was hurt.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I mean, he only played in seven games, and even
- 2:10Speaker 3: some of the games he did play, he was playing injured.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Two years ago, this is the team that went to
- 2:17Speaker 3: the college football Playoff. They had Texas on the ropes
- 2:20Speaker 3: in that game that they played, in the quarterfinal game
- 2:24Speaker 3: that they played, and I think they probably should have
- 2:26Speaker 3: won that game. I think there was a miss targeting
- 2:28Speaker 3: call against Texas that ultimately took points away from Arizona
- 2:35Speaker 3: Arizona State in that game. I mean, that was the
- 2:37Speaker 3: Camp Scataboo game where he kind of announced his presence
- 2:39Speaker 3: to the national audience.
- 2:41Speaker 1: And Sam Levitt was really good that year.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Now, a lot of people wanted to see what he
- 2:45Speaker 3: was going to do without a guy like Cam Scataboo.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And you know, they had an up and down season,
- 2:50Speaker 3: So of course the critics came out and said, Okay, well,
- 2:52Speaker 3: Sam levit can't do it without camp scataboo.
- 2:56Speaker 1: But the reality is he was just playing hurt. That's
- 2:58Speaker 1: what it was.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I mean, you saw Garrettmeyer here. My argument all season
- 3:02Speaker 3: long was, Guys, if you don't think Garrett Osmeyer is hurt,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I don't really know what to tell you, because you
- 3:06Speaker 3: either think he's hurt or he completely forgot how to
- 3:08Speaker 3: throw a football. I think one of them's more logical
- 3:11Speaker 3: than the other. Turns out, Garrett Nosmyer was hurt. Huge
- 3:15Speaker 3: shocker to all of us. So look, I get that
- 3:18Speaker 3: they put Sam Levitt on this list. I understand. I
- 3:20Speaker 3: mean even last year he had five rushing touchdowns in
- 3:22Speaker 3: seven games. He's a mobile quarterback. I think he's going
- 3:26Speaker 3: to thrive in Lane Kiffn's offense. The thing that I
- 3:31Speaker 3: like more about this when you go down these list
- 3:33Speaker 3: of teams, he's kind of an obvious candidate that jumps
- 3:37Speaker 3: out right, like Chas Coleman for Tennessee, the big edge rusher. Yeah,
- 3:41Speaker 3: we know that's a huge get Cam Coleman, big git.
- 3:45Speaker 3: You could have kind of had your pick for LSU.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It didn't have to be Sam LENNITTT Like, yeah, it's
- 3:51Speaker 3: an obvious choice. You got the number one quarterback in
- 3:53Speaker 3: the portal. I get it, But look at some of
- 3:56Speaker 3: the other players you brought in first off, If you
- 3:59Speaker 3: could go quarterback room as a whole, if you wanted
- 4:01Speaker 3: to do it that way, look at Land and Clark
- 4:04Speaker 3: and Hussan long Street and Huson long Street didn't play
- 4:07Speaker 3: a ton last year for USC played in three games,
- 4:10Speaker 3: but he was a former five star recruit, and people
- 4:12Speaker 3: have a lot of expectations for him. Land and Clark
- 4:15Speaker 3: coming over from Elon. I get the Elon's a little
- 4:18Speaker 3: bit lower of competition, but he thrived at Elon. He
- 4:21Speaker 3: ran for a lot of yards. He scored a lot
- 4:23Speaker 3: of touchdowns last season. Those two guys are going to
- 4:26Speaker 3: battle it out in the spring in all likelihood with
- 4:29Speaker 3: Sam Levitt sidelined for most of the spring with recovering
- 4:33Speaker 3: from that foot injury. So I get the Sam Levitt
- 4:37Speaker 3: thing here, But who else could you have went with?
- 4:41Speaker 3: What about Jordan Seton. I mean he was one of
- 4:44Speaker 3: the later ads in this portal.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I mean he was.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Number one left tackle in the portal. He was second
- 4:50Speaker 3: team All Big twelve a year ago, and a lot
- 4:54Speaker 3: of people kind of raise their eyebrows at Jordan Seeden
- 4:57Speaker 3: being the number one target or the number one left
- 5:00Speaker 3: tackle in the transfer portal, just because when you look
- 5:02Speaker 3: at Colorado's offensive line as a whole the past two seasons,
- 5:05Speaker 3: it has not been good. He was a little bit
- 5:08Speaker 3: better last year, but not much. I mean, Schador Saders
- 5:10Speaker 3: set the record for most sacks in a season from
- 5:14Speaker 3: a quarterback because he was in front of an awful
- 5:16Speaker 3: offensive line two years ago. Jordan Seeden a former five
- 5:20Speaker 3: star player. He's big, he's physical, like anything you would
- 5:24Speaker 3: want in a left tackle. Jordan Seeden brings that to you.
- 5:27Speaker 3: I think he's gonna slide right in there at that
- 5:30Speaker 3: left tackle spot or right tackle. I mean, I think
- 5:32Speaker 3: he's got one of those tackle spots pretty much locked down. LSU,
- 5:36Speaker 3: you know, went and they spent a lot of money
- 5:38Speaker 3: in the portal to bring in players like a Jordan Seedon,
- 5:43Speaker 3: so you could have win multiple areas on offense. Heck,
- 5:46Speaker 3: you could have win Jase Brown. I'm gonna continue to
- 5:49Speaker 3: rave about Jays Browns.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I think he's gonna be.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Really good in this offense. He ran the ball a
- 5:53Speaker 3: little bit of Kansas State. He was their go to receiver.
- 5:57Speaker 3: He made a couple of tough catches and big time
- 5:58Speaker 3: moments for him. I understand that team didn't have the
- 6:00Speaker 3: season and a lot of people thought they were going to,
- 6:03Speaker 3: but it wasn't Jase Brown's fault. He was really good
- 6:06Speaker 3: when he was on the field for the Wildcats. Jackson Harris,
- 6:10Speaker 3: the receiver out of Hawaii nine hundred yards and ten
- 6:14Speaker 3: touchdowns in only twelve games. It's another guy that is
- 6:17Speaker 3: a big time playmaker on this offense. Brought in all
- 6:21Speaker 3: the running backs. I mean, you could go the offensive
- 6:23Speaker 3: line as a whole if you want to extend it
- 6:24Speaker 3: past Jordan Seedon, but it goes beyond that. Prince will
- 6:30Speaker 3: hu Mon Miellen the number one edge rusher in the
- 6:33Speaker 3: transfer portal. He's a double digit SAT guy coming over
- 6:36Speaker 3: from Old Miss, a guy that has already played under
- 6:39Speaker 3: Lane kiffn that knows what Lane Kifvin expects. He had
- 6:42Speaker 3: a lot of success for the Rebels last year.
- 6:44Speaker 1: On defense.
- 6:45Speaker 3: He was one of the He wasn't just Old Miss's
- 6:47Speaker 3: best pass rusher. He was one of the best pass
- 6:48Speaker 3: rushers in the SEC. That's why you wound up being
- 6:50Speaker 3: the number one edge rusher in the transfer portal. That's
- 6:57Speaker 3: why everybody was so thrilled with the Lane king. If
- 7:00Speaker 3: in transfer portal class you landed Sam Lavitt, the number
- 7:03Speaker 3: one quarterback in the portal, he landed Jordan Seeden, the
- 7:06Speaker 3: number one left tackle in the portal, and you landed
- 7:09Speaker 3: princewellam on me El and the number one addresser. What
- 7:12Speaker 3: does everyone always say most important positions in football quarterback position,
- 7:16Speaker 3: those who protect the quarterback, those who get after the quarterback.
- 7:20Speaker 3: All three of those positions you landed the number one
- 7:22Speaker 3: guy in the portal. It does not get much better
- 7:24Speaker 3: than that. I'd take it a step further and go
- 7:28Speaker 3: you could include tie Benfield on this list. He's a
- 7:31Speaker 3: guy that I rave about and I'm gonna continue to
- 7:33Speaker 3: rave about him because I think talent wise, he was
- 7:35Speaker 3: one of the best players you signed in the transfer portal.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I understand that one paper, safety might not look like
- 7:42Speaker 3: a big position of need.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Kind of was.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I mean, sure, you have Tmarcus Cooley and Deshaun Spears
- 7:48Speaker 3: coming back, but what do you have behind him?
- 7:51Speaker 1: A little bit of a question mark? I mean CJ.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Jim Coyley.
- 7:54Speaker 3: He looked the part last year in fall practice as
- 7:56Speaker 3: a freshman didn't get on the field a ton, but
- 7:59Speaker 3: he's a guy that plays some safety. They moved him
- 8:01Speaker 3: down to Star. He was repping Star a lot last
- 8:04Speaker 3: fall camp. You got some freshmen coming in that can
- 8:09Speaker 3: play safety, but outside of those top two guys, you didn't.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You didn't have a ton of depth there. And I'm
- 8:16Speaker 3: not saying TYD Benifield to depth piece. He's a lot
- 8:18Speaker 3: more than that. He's gonna be a starter on this team.
- 8:21Speaker 3: You go look at Todd Bennfield multiple big time seasons
- 8:23Speaker 3: in Boise State. Last year he had over one hundred
- 8:25Speaker 3: tackles from the safety spot. He was like eighty five
- 8:28Speaker 3: the year before that. TDD Bennfield can play football. I
- 8:32Speaker 3: think he's an immediate starter on this defense. And he's
- 8:36Speaker 3: a guy that he has the coverage skills, but he
- 8:38Speaker 3: also comes up to the line to make a lot
- 8:39Speaker 3: of those tackles. So getting TDD Bennifield, you could play
- 8:43Speaker 3: him at safety, move him to Star. If you like
- 8:45Speaker 3: him at safety, you could move to Sewn Spears down
- 8:47Speaker 3: there the Star, which is ultimately what I think I
- 8:49Speaker 3: would like to see. Shawn Spears is six foot three
- 8:52Speaker 3: pushing two hundred and twenty pounds That's about what Harold
- 8:54Speaker 3: Perkins was when he played Star Perkins was pretty good.
- 8:57Speaker 4: There.
- 8:59Speaker 3: There are so many you could look at in the
- 9:01Speaker 3: transfer portal for LSU and say, yep, Lane Kiffin hit
- 9:04Speaker 3: a home run with that kid. That's why you brought
- 9:08Speaker 3: Lane Kiff in here. To bring in players like this,
- 9:13Speaker 3: Sam Levitt, Jordan Seed and Prince Willumnmeal and Ti Benefield,
- 9:18Speaker 3: you could have win a number of places. There's probably
- 9:20Speaker 3: guys out there I'm forgetting. I mean, Fahim Delane Mansord,
- 9:25Speaker 3: Delane's little brother. He's coming in and I understand that
- 9:30Speaker 3: he wasn't an impact player or anything like that. At
- 9:32Speaker 3: Ohio State. He wasn't a household name. But when when
- 9:36Speaker 3: Mansword Delane got here, he wasn't a first team All American.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I mean he was a second third team All Conference
- 9:42Speaker 3: player at Virginia Tech. He's a solid piece that everybody said, oh, yeah,
- 9:46Speaker 3: you'll come in, he'll compete for a starting job.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:49Speaker 3: He blew all of us away out there at fall practice.
- 9:51Speaker 3: If you were out there, you know what I'm talking about.
- 9:53Speaker 3: And once he got on the field, he showed that
- 9:56Speaker 3: it wasn't just a flash in the pan. Mansword Lane's
- 9:59Speaker 3: gonna be a tough twenty pick in all likelihood and
- 10:01Speaker 3: the upcoming NFL Draft, So it could be somebody completely
- 10:05Speaker 3: under the radar. But when you bring in forty two
- 10:08Speaker 3: players from the transfer portal, most of them at the top,
- 10:11Speaker 3: if not the top of their position, like top three
- 10:13Speaker 3: or four at their position in the portal, you're gonna
- 10:16Speaker 3: see results like this. Just a lot of these other
- 10:19Speaker 3: teams on this list, like you're like, oh, yeah, they
- 10:21Speaker 3: landed that one big name guy. That makes sense? Makes sense?
- 10:24Speaker 1: Why Chas Coleman's on this list for someone that makes sense?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Why cam Coleman would be on this list for LSU.
- 10:31Speaker 3: I think you could have went in a number of
- 10:32Speaker 3: different places. For what it's worth, uh ole miss on
- 10:38Speaker 3: this list. ESPN dot Com has their biggest impact transfers,
- 10:41Speaker 3: Curious Current from LSU. I mean talked a little bit
- 10:45Speaker 3: about it. You know, throughout the offseason, throughout the transfer
- 10:48Speaker 3: portal cycle, that you didn't lose a ton that's gonna
- 10:52Speaker 3: hurt you as far as LSU like a ton of
- 10:54Speaker 3: big time starters. I think Carrious Current was a big one,
- 10:56Speaker 3: probably the biggest. That's a guy that staff loved. He
- 11:01Speaker 3: was a five star. He got some early playing time
- 11:03Speaker 3: mix results, but he got throwed in there as a freshman.
- 11:06Speaker 3: That's going to happen. He can play guard for you,
- 11:10Speaker 3: he could play tackle for you. He's a guy you
- 11:12Speaker 3: didn't want to lose, and to lose him to the
- 11:13Speaker 3: whole miss of all places with the lane Kiffin saga, YadA, YadA.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I know it sucks, but you gotta move on. I think,
- 11:22Speaker 3: I mean curious Kern's gonna hurt losing in the portal.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I think Kyle Parker's actually going to hurt you. I
- 11:26Speaker 3: thought Kyle Parker was good. I thought he was one
- 11:28Speaker 3: of your top three receivers on this year's team. LSU
- 11:32Speaker 3: used him a lot in the fourth quarter. He just
- 11:34Speaker 3: didn't use him a lot before that. I could never
- 11:36Speaker 3: really figure out why that was. Kyle Parker over at
- 11:39Speaker 3: Ohio State, followed Cortes Hangton, and he's gonna have Jeremiah
- 11:43Speaker 3: Smith on the other side of him to take pressure
- 11:46Speaker 3: off of him. He has Julian saying, who I think
- 11:48Speaker 3: coming into this year is the best quarterback in college
- 11:50Speaker 3: football throwing him the ball. And those are your two
- 11:53Speaker 3: big losses. And it sucks to see Karrious Kern's name
- 11:57Speaker 3: sitting there next to whole Miss, But I mean outside
- 11:59Speaker 3: of Caius Kerrn, where do you go for old Miss.
- 12:02Speaker 3: That's kind of the point, like, yeah, they got a
- 12:04Speaker 3: big name guy who they get outside of that. I'm
- 12:08Speaker 3: like for Indiana. On Indiana on this list, they have
- 12:11Speaker 3: Josh Hoover as as their biggest name transfer.
- 12:15Speaker 1: And I agree.
- 12:16Speaker 3: And Josh Hoover that was kind of an early signing
- 12:19Speaker 3: and that was one that happened really really soon once
- 12:22Speaker 3: he entered the transfer portal, and Josh Houver was a
- 12:25Speaker 3: guy that I like. I pounded the drama a little
- 12:27Speaker 3: bit for Josh Hoover to come here. The only issue
- 12:29Speaker 3: I had was I wanted a little bit more mobile
- 12:31Speaker 3: of a quarterback for Lane Kiffen and his offense. That's
- 12:34Speaker 3: not really Josh Hoover as far as throwing the ball though.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I mean Hoover in his college career sixty five percent
- 12:41Speaker 3: completion percentage, seventy one touchdowns, thirty three interceptions. It was
- 12:45Speaker 3: twenty nine and thirteen a year ago. So anybody that's
- 12:48Speaker 3: wondering if Kurt Signetti and Indiana are going to be
- 12:51Speaker 3: a flash in the pan, No, I think they got
- 12:52Speaker 3: one of the best quarterbacks in the portal again outside
- 12:55Speaker 3: of Josh Hoover, where do you look for Indiana Like
- 13:00Speaker 3: Rocco Beck's on here for Penn State. Yeah, but they
- 13:04Speaker 3: had like thirty transfers all from Iowa State straight to
- 13:07Speaker 3: Penn State when Matt Campbell took that job. And just
- 13:12Speaker 3: when I look at LSU, I see Levitt, I see Seedon,
- 13:15Speaker 3: I see Benefield, who Monmeel and all of these guys
- 13:18Speaker 3: that could have potentially been on this list for the
- 13:20Speaker 3: top portal edition for LSU, And I get really excited
- 13:23Speaker 3: about what's to come, and I realize this is why
- 13:27Speaker 3: you brought Kiffin here. They called him the Portal King
- 13:29Speaker 3: for a reason. He did a bang up job. I'm
- 13:32Speaker 3: excited for spring practice to start. We will take a
- 13:34Speaker 3: quick time out coming up on the other side, Devin
- 13:37Speaker 3: Snow aka hold de Mayo had to move to Wednesday
- 13:40Speaker 3: from his normal Monday slob, but we're talking to him
- 13:42Speaker 3: next here on Off the Bench.
- 13:44Speaker 2: After bench, just.
- 14:03Speaker 1: God, the fun in love with Tennis.

- 14:54Speaker 6: we wanted. It's been a great partnership. You can visit
- 14:57Speaker 6: that location of Firbank as well.
- 14:59Speaker 3: All right, all right, welcome back in our number three
- 15:03Speaker 3: here on a Wednesday edition of Off the Bench, brought
- 15:05Speaker 3: to you by Hood Dental. We normally have him on
- 15:09Speaker 3: Monday around this time. Buddy, he's been a busy man.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Uh sure, He's had a lot of fun with all
- 15:13Speaker 3: the Marty Girl going on in New Orleans. Our guy,
- 15:15Speaker 3: Devin snow aka hold the Mayo, joins us. Now, Dev,
- 15:18Speaker 3: what's going on?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Man?
- 15:20Speaker 4: Yo?
- 15:21Speaker 3: We're doing good? Uh Man, you've been busy last couple
- 15:24Speaker 3: of days.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I was, how.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Busy, having the time of my life.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah, it was amazing, man, really was, especially in Demi
- 15:33Speaker 4: and Sunday. And I'm just sitting here reading the the
- 15:37Speaker 4: Shia La Bust.
- 15:38Speaker 5: It's about to ask you if you were out there with.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Something so like I just got a chance to sit
- 15:44Speaker 2: down and look at this and it's just sob not.
- 15:47Speaker 3: I was gonna ask you about that, like if you
- 15:50Speaker 3: had heard about it. So apparently he just was picking
- 15:52Speaker 3: on the wrong group of guys and they beat his
- 15:54Speaker 3: ass outside of this bar in New Orleans. It was
- 15:57Speaker 3: about two or three guys got arrested. I think he
- 16:00Speaker 3: I think he sent out of jail but got charged
- 16:02Speaker 3: with battery. Not a good day for our guy.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Yeah, And he got out of jail, went right back
- 16:07Speaker 4: to Bourbon.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Oh see, I didn't even know that part.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Oh dude, this is a New Orleans tale if I've.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Ever heard one. I mean, we'll we'll talk about this forever.
- 16:18Speaker 2: It's it's just crazy.
- 16:19Speaker 4: That Louis Stevens is causing so much chaos right now
- 16:23Speaker 4: during Marti gras Man, I forgot about it. Dude.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Even Stevens was an elite show. I mean I remember
- 16:28Speaker 3: when the Even Stevens movie was coming out. I mean
- 16:31Speaker 3: I thought that was gonna change my life forever.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Yeah. And all the characters too, dude, like even Twitty. Uh,
- 16:38Speaker 4: Louis stevens best friend. Twity was funny. Wren had her
- 16:42Speaker 4: own style beans.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, these were real TV characters, bro, this is you know.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I just feel like they could never replicate something like that.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Yeah, it's incredible.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Dev you uh you talking about having the time of
- 16:55Speaker 3: your life out there, Marti Gral how many parades did
- 16:58Speaker 3: we hit?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Or were you just bouncing around all?
- 17:01Speaker 2: I went to let's see, I went to muse This.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I caught two shoes at muse this.
- 17:06Speaker 4: So that was a good night. That was Thursday night,
- 17:10Speaker 4: laylow Friday to get the spots for in Demian, went
- 17:13Speaker 4: to Demian. Then I went to Toath. I didn't make
- 17:16Speaker 4: it tobaccus this happens every year. And then went to
- 17:20Speaker 4: Zulu yesterday.
- 17:21Speaker 1: And caught some coconuts tooth is the early morning when right, Yeah.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Toath is pretty early, but Zus even earlier, starts at
- 17:29Speaker 2: eight o'clock.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Dude, I hear more people that like live out in
- 17:34Speaker 3: the New Orleans area go out there every year.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So many people tell me Tooth is like their favorite parade.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Now, yeah, because Toth throws the most, you know what
- 17:42Speaker 4: I'm saying, Like they throw more than any other parade.
- 17:44Speaker 4: So yeah, you got a nice spot for Tooth. You're
- 17:47Speaker 4: gonna get bombed. I mean, they just they they throw everything.
- 17:50Speaker 1: But the float literally, were you out there at in Demians?
- 17:55Speaker 1: You can see Lane Kiffin.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I did see Lane Kiffin. I did see Lane. He
- 18:00Speaker 2: didn't see me, but.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Still in all I mean it was. It's a nice
- 18:04Speaker 4: float too, really was There's a cool looking float. Uh Lane,
- 18:09Speaker 4: I don't know, man, I don't know how Lane does this. Man.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I feel like he's on.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Like a social tour right now. Uh, just dude, this
- 18:16Speaker 2: dude is that everywhere man.
- 18:17Speaker 4: Especially down here, and he's been down here a lot.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Yeah, some of the Pelicans game.
- 18:21Speaker 3: I'm like, dude, you really got to be just fully
- 18:23Speaker 3: diving into Louisiana culture if you're gonna go to a
- 18:26Speaker 3: Pelicans game.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, he's on a culture tour.
- 18:29Speaker 2: That's that's right, he's on the culture tour right.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Now, dev moving away from Marty grawl.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Uh.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Winter Olympics going on right now? How locked in or
- 18:40Speaker 1: are you?
- 18:41Speaker 3: Because I mean, you know you always like to to
- 18:44Speaker 3: dip you toes in a lot of different areas. I
- 18:45Speaker 3: know you're big on the UFC and I mean obviously
- 18:47Speaker 3: huge fan of all things Saints like Winter Olympics.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Where where do you?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Where do you fall in that category? Are you locked in?
- 18:52Speaker 3: Or is it just kind of background fodder?
- 18:55Speaker 4: I'm not.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I can't. I can't say you I'm background. Where do
- 18:57Speaker 2: you even watch the Olympics?
- 18:58Speaker 3: Peca, Yeah, peacockuse Uh it's it's NBC, so like you
- 19:02Speaker 3: got you got peacock on it. But uh no, no
- 19:04Speaker 3: Olympics for you.
- 19:06Speaker 4: No, I mean I'll tune in for the Summer Olympics.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Like the win Olympics. I don't know, man, Like what
- 19:12Speaker 4: what you want to watch on the.
- 19:14Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, Like, what's a good thing
- 19:15Speaker 2: going with the win Olympics right now? What's a good sport?
- 19:18Speaker 3: The downhill skiing is pretty good, that's kind of the
- 19:21Speaker 3: so I like, I like the ski jump where they
- 19:23Speaker 3: make like the one giant jump because I always wonder,
- 19:26Speaker 3: like how they trained for that sport because if you crash,
- 19:29Speaker 3: you're getting seriously injured. So I don't I don't really
- 19:31Speaker 3: understand how they how they trained for something like that.
- 19:34Speaker 1: But no, I'm with you.
- 19:34Speaker 3: I was always more locked into to Summer Olympics as well,
- 19:38Speaker 3: because growing up, like I like to watch the dominance
- 19:41Speaker 3: that was Michael Phelps, Like, I just feel like the US,
- 19:44Speaker 3: the US has never really had that one Winter Olympic
- 19:48Speaker 3: athlete that's kind of just captivated everyone.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I guess you.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Could say, maybe what but that wasn't Yeah, what was that?
- 19:56Speaker 4: Was that one Olympics though? Was that X Game?
- 19:58Speaker 7: I think it was both?
- 20:00Speaker 5: He did like three Winter Olympics, I think.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean he's definitely the most legendary gotta be
- 20:06Speaker 4: the most legendary American Winter Olympic guy.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, like you got you got Lindsay Vaughan.
- 20:13Speaker 3: But I mean every talked about her has been she
- 20:16Speaker 3: broke her leg going down the hill. I mean, she
- 20:18Speaker 3: didn't even really get to compete this year and she's
- 20:21Speaker 3: forty one. It's probably her last Olympics. Like the US
- 20:23Speaker 3: as far as like marketing for the Winter Olympics. Like
- 20:26Speaker 3: I just found out the Olympics was coming up like
- 20:28Speaker 3: three months ago.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Yeah, and then all right, so what's up with the
- 20:32Speaker 4: flag football?
- 20:33Speaker 2: That's what I'm trying to say.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so that's the next Summer Olympics.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Okay, And I saw it like during the Super Bowl
- 20:41Speaker 2: it had Jalen Hurts and is that is that our quarterback?
- 20:43Speaker 3: I don't know, but they are letting they are letting
- 20:45Speaker 3: like NFL players play in it. Because there was a
- 20:48Speaker 3: big debate on like, oh do you let like the
- 20:50Speaker 3: current flag football leagues across America do And they're like, nah,
- 20:52Speaker 3: we want to get eyeballs on this thing, man. So
- 20:54Speaker 3: they are letting current NFL players play in the flag
- 20:57Speaker 3: football League.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I imagine the US is wing to dominate that up.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think at it. I would be devastated if
- 21:04Speaker 4: they didn't.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I mean imagine, But then you.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Never know, you know, there may be some other countries
- 21:08Speaker 4: that are strictly practicing flag football. Dude. The end and outs, you.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Know, the time to the franchise tag people is going
- 21:19Speaker 3: on right now. And the Saints have a couple of veterans,
- 21:22Speaker 3: uh this contractor coming up. They gott to bring back
- 21:26Speaker 3: Cam and to Mario.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Right, yeah, no, they not tomorrow. I've said this on
- 21:30Speaker 2: this show before.
- 21:31Speaker 4: I do not.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Believe to Mario is coming back.
- 21:33Speaker 4: I think Tomorrio They've just gonna be a Chicago band.
- 21:36Speaker 4: That's just my early prediction on it. Dennis Allen Yep, yep.
- 21:41Speaker 4: And then I think that if out of all these guys,
- 21:43Speaker 4: I think Cam would be the one that we work
- 21:46Speaker 4: something out with. And I think Taysom. I don't want
- 21:50Speaker 4: to say he's retiring, but I just don't think he'll
- 21:51Speaker 4: be back in the Saint tune.
- 21:53Speaker 2: For me, that's just my that's.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Just my guess. I'm pretty I'm.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Pretty confident with the to Mario thing.
- 21:58Speaker 4: Though, because of how he talked since the season has
- 22:01Speaker 4: been over.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I mean, the thing about to Mario is though, man,
- 22:04Speaker 3: like I look at it, everybody, it's like, oh, you know,
- 22:06Speaker 3: he's gonna be thirty seven and all this. He set
- 22:09Speaker 3: career highs and tackles this year, and before that it
- 22:12Speaker 3: was last year. Like to Mario Davis has actually had
- 22:14Speaker 3: his two best years of the last two seasons. If
- 22:16Speaker 3: I'm the Saints, I got to bring this.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Guy back, trust me. They're gonna want to. But I
- 22:22Speaker 4: think he's playing hordball, dude, because of all those things
- 22:25Speaker 4: you just said, I think that he's gonna be playing hardball.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I don't think it'll just be money either. I think
- 22:32Speaker 4: it will be hey like to go and get in
- 22:34Speaker 4: position with.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I mean, look what the band did this past year.
- 22:38Speaker 4: I don't know, man, It just if you listen to
- 22:40Speaker 4: any of his interviews since the season ended, it just
- 22:43Speaker 4: sounds like he's about to play a little hardball.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Respectfully, I think I think Saint Sam's would be devastated
- 22:49Speaker 3: by that. But like Cam Jordan, Cam Cam, to me,
- 22:52Speaker 3: seems like he's in it for the long haul. Like
- 22:54Speaker 3: I was talking about it the other day, Like you
- 22:55Speaker 3: go into the Superdome for any Saints games, you're gonna
- 22:58Speaker 3: see ninety four jersey. He's most, if not most, like
- 23:02Speaker 3: second most of any of any jersey in there. I
- 23:05Speaker 3: mean you'll see some Breeze ones obviously, But like Cam Jordan,
- 23:08Speaker 3: like kind of is the New Orleans Saints right now?
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:12Speaker 4: And a great season. I mean he had ten sacks.
- 23:15Speaker 4: It's not like this dude had four sacts and we
- 23:18Speaker 4: like just you know, rooting for a good guy here.
- 23:20Speaker 4: I mean, this guy played good, So yeah.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I don't I could never see Cam Jordan playing in
- 23:25Speaker 2: another uniform or anything like that.
- 23:26Speaker 4: And I do think that they'll work it out, but
- 23:30Speaker 4: it's just the other two.
- 23:31Speaker 2: To Mario and Tashm, I think it's over.
- 23:33Speaker 8: I really do, Man Bro, I was gonna say, like,
- 23:36Speaker 8: in terms of Cam Jordan, he did like come out
- 23:38Speaker 8: and say I love the Saints, would love to stay,
- 23:40Speaker 8: but to Mario did the complete opposite.
- 23:43Speaker 5: So I'm kind of with you.
- 23:44Speaker 8: It's gonna be like I think he is going to
- 23:46Speaker 8: play some hardball and it might be a little bit
- 23:47Speaker 8: of a challenge to get to Mario back on on
- 23:51Speaker 8: board with.
- 23:51Speaker 4: The New Orleans. And the thing about it is is Stutsman,
- 23:55Speaker 4: who we know is you know a little flash that
- 23:58Speaker 4: a little flash.
- 23:59Speaker 2: I'm still that kind of confident just rolling out there
- 24:01Speaker 2: with Stutsman, only though, you.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Know, with Stutsman and who knows where.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Or you know what I'm saying, Yeah, I.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Just if the Mario doesn't come back, they're gonna they're
- 24:12Speaker 4: gonna have to go get somebody.
- 24:14Speaker 3: It changes everything free agency, dev it changes everything in
- 24:17Speaker 3: the draft. Like the Mario leaving is not just losing
- 24:21Speaker 3: your middle linebacker, like it changes your entire offseason strategy.
- 24:24Speaker 3: And now I'm with you on stutsman, like he had
- 24:26Speaker 3: flashes last year, but I mean he's you know, he
- 24:29Speaker 3: still needs to put on a little bit of way
- 24:31Speaker 3: to be an NFL middle linebacker, Like can he can?
- 24:33Speaker 3: He can he be in every down player? Like we don't,
- 24:36Speaker 3: we don't know, but like if the Saints are doing
- 24:38Speaker 3: in fact, let him walk, man, They're they're gonna be
- 24:40Speaker 3: in for quite the hectic offseason deb Before we get
- 24:44Speaker 3: you out of here, what's the rest of the week
- 24:46Speaker 3: look like for you got anything coming up? Or you
- 24:48Speaker 3: just in pure recovery mode from the craziness that was
- 24:51Speaker 3: Mardy girl.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I just figure another day of recovery mode.
- 24:55Speaker 4: I mean it's it was like four straight days of this, man,
- 24:58Speaker 4: So it's over. Another day of recovery and then yeah, dude,
- 25:03Speaker 4: I got a lot of stuff to tackle, man, I
- 25:04Speaker 4: got a lot of challenges, especially you know the whole
- 25:07Speaker 4: YouTube thing. I'm really trying to get that going more
- 25:10Speaker 4: than what it is.
- 25:11Speaker 2: So I'm back to off season Mayo.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Trying to tackle challenges, man, do and do new stuff.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Hell yeah, man, I can't wait to see what you
- 25:20Speaker 3: do next. The RB and R was was awesome. I'm
- 25:23Speaker 3: excited for everything you got to come in your way.

- 28:13Speaker 3: edition of OTB. Just about twenty minutes or so left
- 28:17Speaker 3: to go here on today's show. And my God, Strawberry
- 28:21Speaker 3: Wine might be my favorite one hit wonder of all time.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Like Dina Carter made that song and then just said,
- 28:27Speaker 3: you know what, I'm good. I mean, look, she obviously
- 28:30Speaker 3: had others, but none of them were as big of
- 28:31Speaker 3: a hit. As strawberry wine. My gosh, one of this
- 28:36Speaker 3: is a this might be a top five tailor song.
- 28:41Speaker 3: I love this song as a laundra's vibeing right now.
- 28:50Speaker 5: This is a great song.
- 28:51Speaker 1: This is an incredible song.
- 28:52Speaker 5: It makes me want to like do karaoke right.
- 28:55Speaker 3: This is a this is a race You're terrible, But
- 28:58Speaker 3: it's also what everybody would sing. I was gonna sa
- 29:00Speaker 3: it's a song that a lot of people know they
- 29:01Speaker 3: would join in and sing. Those are the best karaoke songs,
- 29:04Speaker 3: the ones where people.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Will join it.
- 29:06Speaker 8: Get out a lighter This is a lighter song yet
- 29:10Speaker 8: hell yeah, hold it up.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Yeah the songs.
- 29:14Speaker 7: So what.
- 29:20Speaker 1: I'm gonna be thirty.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Next by Braxton. You're like twelve years old. When you become,
- 29:28Speaker 3: you know, in your mid twenties, every birthday is pretty
- 29:32Speaker 3: much gonna feel the same. When I got to twenty eight,
- 29:36Speaker 3: everything changed. I was like, I'm like late late twenties.
- 29:41Speaker 3: I turned twenty nine in September, and I was like,
- 29:43Speaker 3: I gotta I gotta cherish this forever, Like that's it.
- 29:46Speaker 1: In what September, I'll be thirty as a milestone. Yeah, but.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I mean like I'll be thirty, I'll be a dad.
- 29:56Speaker 5: Like, yeah, that's real good dad part.
- 30:00Speaker 8: That's like I know and you know what you So,
- 30:03Speaker 8: Jake and I when we were on the sorry, when
- 30:04Speaker 8: we were on the way back from Obile, we were like, ooh,
- 30:06Speaker 8: Taylor's about to have a straight up reality check when
- 30:10Speaker 8: he has a kid.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 30:12Speaker 3: And the crazy thing about it is, I'm kind of
- 30:16Speaker 3: the last of my friger Like the guy who's the
- 30:17Speaker 3: best man in my wedding, he just had a baby
- 30:19Speaker 3: in December. Buddy of mine's uh firstborn turned one on Saturday,
- 30:25Speaker 3: So I mean, I'm they already have kids, So I mean,
- 30:29Speaker 3: where you getting old?
- 30:32Speaker 7: I just had a mouth. I'm just twenty one, but.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Jesus, Cassie's been my coworker for like two years from
- 30:39Speaker 3: now when she same age as my younger brother, which
- 30:41Speaker 3: makes me feel bad pretty much every day.
- 30:44Speaker 8: I don't know, like I feel like, Okay, So I
- 30:46Speaker 8: just I just turned twenty eight, and y'all know that
- 30:50Speaker 8: I was having like a bit of an existential crisis.
- 30:53Speaker 5: But I'm like, no, I think we're still young, Like
- 30:56Speaker 5: twenty eight.
- 30:57Speaker 1: You're good, You're good, you got two more years.
- 30:59Speaker 8: But I still feel like he is pretty young too, though, like,
- 31:02Speaker 8: I don't think you hit your rhythm or prime until
- 31:04Speaker 8: you're like mid thirty.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Yeah, me too, me too. That's what that's where I'm
- 31:08Speaker 1: going at.
- 31:08Speaker 5: No, I think that's objectively true.
- 31:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna adopt that.
- 31:12Speaker 10: Yeah, you see, you let your kids start, you know, walking,
- 31:15Speaker 10: hitting all these other milestones, then it might hit a
- 31:18Speaker 10: little different.
- 31:18Speaker 7: But you haven't experienced all that yet. So young, we'll see.
- 31:23Speaker 3: You know who's not young, Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill has
- 31:28Speaker 3: been He has been released by the Miami Dolphins for
- 31:32Speaker 3: failing a physical, but they were gonna move on from
- 31:35Speaker 3: him anyways. Tyreek Hill thirty one years old, and of
- 31:37Speaker 3: course all the wide receiver needy teams, these NFL insiders say, oh, well,
- 31:42Speaker 3: this team's got a land Tyreek Hill. So the question
- 31:45Speaker 3: presents itself. Should the New Orleans Saints sign Tyreek Hill?
- 31:49Speaker 3: Absolutely not, They should not sign Tyreek Hill, but you.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Know that they're definitely looking at him.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Mickey is an agent.
- 31:56Speaker 5: V that is a Saints ass.
- 31:59Speaker 3: Loves an agent, right, And like two years ago, back
- 32:03Speaker 3: to back seventeen hundred yard seasons, still looked like he
- 32:06Speaker 3: was one of the best receivers in the NFL two
- 32:08Speaker 3: years ago, played the full season less than a thousand yards,
- 32:12Speaker 3: six touchdowns, also at eleven point eight yards per catch,
- 32:15Speaker 3: lowest of his career. Last year, he only played in
- 32:19Speaker 3: four games. He was injured the entire season. He's coming
- 32:21Speaker 3: off of a knee injury. I just mentioned he had
- 32:23Speaker 3: a potential failed physical two hundred and sixty eight yard
- 32:26Speaker 3: receiving in a touchdown. Tyreek Hill is well past his prime. Also,
- 32:32Speaker 3: he's not what the New Orleans Saints need. He's an
- 32:35Speaker 3: aging vet. Also, it's clear that he's lost his step
- 32:39Speaker 3: when he's on the field, and he's a five to
- 32:41Speaker 3: eleven guy who relies on his speed, and I mean
- 32:44Speaker 3: his speed may not be there the same way. He's
- 32:45Speaker 3: coming off knee injury. He's thirty one years old. Go
- 32:48Speaker 3: find me a highlight reel of Tyreek Hill making contested catches.
- 32:52Speaker 3: You're not gonna do it because they're not out there.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill, speed guy, not the best route runner, not
- 32:57Speaker 3: really a contested catch guy.
- 32:59Speaker 1: That's what you need.
- 33:00Speaker 3: We talk about Chris Alave all the time, great route runner,
- 33:02Speaker 3: he needs to be better with contested catches. Bringing in
- 33:05Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill solves none of that for you.
- 33:07Speaker 10: You know who else is the free agent Mike Evans.
- 33:10Speaker 10: He's also don't bring him in.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I got some options for us that are a little
- 33:15Speaker 3: bit younger than what maybe we could look at with
- 33:19Speaker 3: a Tyreek killer a Mike Evans, because right now, your
- 33:21Speaker 3: two proven weapons are Chris Olave and Jawan Johnson. I
- 33:24Speaker 3: am not putting Devon vey Leg in that proven weapon
- 33:26Speaker 3: option yet. He had a pretty good three to four
- 33:28Speaker 3: game run this year with Tyler Shock. But we need
- 33:31Speaker 3: to see a little bit more. So you got two
- 33:32Speaker 3: proven guys A Lave and Juwan Johnson right now. Jawan
- 33:37Speaker 3: Jennings is a free agent. Is Juwan Jennings wing to
- 33:40Speaker 3: solve all of your problems? No, but he's a different
- 33:42Speaker 3: type of receiver than what you already have. He's six
- 33:44Speaker 3: foot threes, two hundred and fifteen pounds. This year wasn't
- 33:49Speaker 3: the best year for him. I mean fifteen catches, I
- 33:51Speaker 3: mean fifteen games, six hundred and forty three yards, receiving
- 33:54Speaker 3: nine touchdowns. But that entire team was out of whack, right,
- 33:57Speaker 3: I mean, the forty nine ers had so many injuries.
- 34:01Speaker 3: Rumors as to why all these injuries occurred, we got
- 34:03Speaker 3: into all that. But when he was fully healthy two
- 34:07Speaker 3: years ago, and he was even in and out of
- 34:09Speaker 3: the lineup there. He had at a nagging injury nine
- 34:14Speaker 3: and seventy five yards and six touchdowns on a playoff
- 34:16Speaker 3: team and had seventy seven catches. Juwan Johnson is a
- 34:20Speaker 3: really good player. You're not gonna have to ask him
- 34:22Speaker 3: to be your bona fide number one receiver because you
- 34:24Speaker 3: got Chris Alave there to take some of the pressure
- 34:26Speaker 3: off of him. But Jawan Johnson is a guy. He'll
- 34:28Speaker 3: be twenty nine years old next season. He's a big body.
- 34:32Speaker 3: He could provide something for you that you don't already have.
- 34:35Speaker 3: What about Christian Kirk Again, he's not gonna solve all
- 34:40Speaker 3: your issues, but he's younger than Tyreek Hill. Now, Kirk's
- 34:43Speaker 3: been in and out of the lineup too, played in
- 34:46Speaker 3: thirteen games with three starts of this year, only eight
- 34:48Speaker 3: games of the year before. He's twenty nine years old.
- 34:51Speaker 3: But can you bring in Kirk to be your number
- 34:53Speaker 3: two behind a Lave. I'm okay with that, provided he
- 34:57Speaker 3: could stay healthy. He's still younger and cheaper than a
- 35:00Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill. He could probably make a little bit more
- 35:03Speaker 3: impact at this point. What about Deebo Samuel.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I get it.
- 35:07Speaker 3: Everyone wants to say, Oh, Debo's old, he's fat, he's
- 35:09Speaker 3: out of shape. Debot was pretty good this year for
- 35:12Speaker 3: the for Washington, he started twelve games, seven hundred and
- 35:16Speaker 3: twenty seven yard receiving in five touchdowns.
- 35:19Speaker 1: He was their number one guy.
- 35:20Speaker 5: He did terrible for my fantasy, though.
- 35:21Speaker 3: He did terrible for your fantasy, sure, which again big
- 35:26Speaker 3: part of the equation. But Jayden Daniels is out all year, Like,
- 35:30Speaker 3: you go, look at how bad that offense was. Once
- 35:32Speaker 3: Jayden went down seven twenty seven and five touchdowns, you
- 35:35Speaker 3: go look at what everybody else put up. Even Terry
- 35:37Speaker 3: McLaurin had a down year, even he was in and
- 35:39Speaker 3: out of the lineup with an injury. Cod Deebo Samuel
- 35:42Speaker 3: maybe bring you something again. He's not going to solve
- 35:44Speaker 3: all of your problems. But I'd probably preferre Debo over
- 35:47Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill. He had a much better year last year
- 35:50Speaker 3: and again probably still a little bit cheaper. What about
- 35:53Speaker 3: bringing back Rashid Chhiheed, Now I would like it just
- 35:58Speaker 3: because you know Shaheed could do well in system. I
- 36:01Speaker 3: thinking about Rashiji heat is though he has never been
- 36:04Speaker 3: a target monster He's never been one of those guys.
- 36:07Speaker 1: He's just gonna have twelve thirteen catches a game.
- 36:09Speaker 3: I mean, his best season in New Orleans yardage wise,
- 36:12Speaker 3: was back in twenty twenty three seven hundred and nineteen yards,
- 36:15Speaker 3: five touchdowns. Twenty twenty five combined between New Orleans and
- 36:20Speaker 3: Seattle six hundred and eighty seven yards, and in Seattle
- 36:23Speaker 3: he had fifteen catches. His The biggest m back in
- 36:26Speaker 3: Seattle was in the return game. If you want to
- 36:28Speaker 3: bring him back for that, I'm all good with it.
- 36:31Speaker 3: I just view Rashid I view Rashiji Heat is a
- 36:33Speaker 3: great number three option. I view him as a number
- 36:36Speaker 3: three option. I don't think the Saints will bring him
- 36:38Speaker 3: back only because I think he's kind of attached to
- 36:41Speaker 3: the Raiders right now. His offensive coordinator, in Clink Kubiak,
- 36:44Speaker 3: who he played for under here in New Orleans as well,
- 36:47Speaker 3: is the new head coach of the Raiders. I think
- 36:49Speaker 3: that makes a ton of sense for a guy like
- 36:51Speaker 3: Rashiji Heat because Kubiak knows how to use him. I
- 36:54Speaker 3: think it would be a tough sell to get him
- 36:55Speaker 3: to come.
- 36:55Speaker 4: Back here.
- 36:57Speaker 3: If you don't get any of those big time agents, though,
- 37:03Speaker 3: for me, like, my preference would be to draft a
- 37:05Speaker 3: young receiver in the draft.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You have eight overall.
- 37:07Speaker 3: At eight, it's tough for me to pass up on
- 37:09Speaker 3: a guy like Jordan Tyson or Carnel Tait in.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Round one, but you could.
- 37:13Speaker 3: I mean, there's been a lot to talk about Jordan Love,
- 37:15Speaker 3: There's been a lot to talk about ed rushers.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'm okay with it. Again.
- 37:20Speaker 3: I would prefer one of those Eligue guys, but it's
- 37:21Speaker 3: a deep receiver class. Zachariyah Branch, he had a really
- 37:25Speaker 3: good year at Georgia. He'll be there when you're picking
- 37:27Speaker 3: at forty three. Omar Cooper from Indiana. Chris Brazl is
- 37:31Speaker 3: six foot five out of Tennessee. That fits some of
- 37:34Speaker 3: your needs. He's a really good player. Elijah Surrat Omar
- 37:38Speaker 3: Cooper's body from Indiana. He'll be there later in the draft.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Because you're picking for forty second overall and then seventy third,
- 37:46Speaker 3: a lot of these guys will be there. There's rumors
- 37:48Speaker 3: now that Casey Conception and could fall out of the
- 37:50Speaker 3: first round. I don't think you will, but if he does,
- 37:53Speaker 3: and he's there at forty two overall, you could take
- 37:55Speaker 3: Casey Conception a little bit smaller than what you would like.
- 37:58Speaker 3: He sits there at five eleven, but he's good enough
- 38:00Speaker 3: athlete to where it doesn't matter a lot of the times.
- 38:03Speaker 3: He was one of the most athletic receivers in college football. Issue,
- 38:07Speaker 3: you don't have to sign any of these guys. The
- 38:10Speaker 3: point I'm trying to make is there's gonna be a
- 38:12Speaker 3: lot of rumors, whether it's the Saints or other teams
- 38:15Speaker 3: trying to throw a bag at Tyreek Hill, trying to
- 38:17Speaker 3: see if they can make one last run at a
- 38:19Speaker 3: Super Bowl. And I just I don't think he's a
- 38:21Speaker 3: good fit in New Orleans.
- 38:22Speaker 2: One.
- 38:22Speaker 3: I think New Orleans is a year away from a
- 38:24Speaker 3: Super Bowl run. I'm not sure how desirable that would
- 38:26Speaker 3: be for Tyreek Hill. But also, Tyreek Hill around five
- 38:29Speaker 3: foot ten, a guy who's clearly lost a step while
- 38:32Speaker 3: he's on the field. He's thirty one years old. He's
- 38:34Speaker 3: gonna command a lot of money on the open market.
- 38:38Speaker 3: Is it really worth it to you? Like Tyreek Hill
- 38:39Speaker 3: is a one at most two year rental for the
- 38:42Speaker 3: New Orleans Saints. That doesn't really fit what you're trying
- 38:44Speaker 3: to build there in New Orleans. I say no to
- 38:47Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill. All right, we'll take a quick time out.
- 38:49Speaker 3: When we get back, we'll close the show out like
- 38:52Speaker 3: we do every day with as the bench off the bench.
- 38:56Speaker 6: All right, go to Sincere Plumbing Dot or the ones
- 38:59Speaker 6: shot for all of your plumbing needs. But not only
- 39:03Speaker 6: in Central it is the entire greater Baton Rouge area.

- 39:10Speaker 6: to be there for you.

- 39:16Speaker 6: two o'clock and if you have an issue, trust me
- 39:19Speaker 6: when I say they're still going to be there. Two
- 39:22Speaker 6: two five five zero zero zero seven seven four. Two
- 39:25Speaker 6: to five five zero zero zero seven seven four.
- 39:29Speaker 7: That is the number.
- 39:30Speaker 6: Call them today.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Central Plumbing Dottle Right, Central Plumbing Dottle.
- 39:34Speaker 9: Argument, Like Jake said, that's like a huge resource to have,
- 39:37Speaker 9: just knowing that if anything ever goes wrong at your
- 39:39Speaker 9: place of work, at your home with a plumbing like
- 39:41Speaker 9: they can call. It doesn't matter what is happening. It
- 39:43Speaker 9: doesn't matter if it's the bottom of the ninth, it
- 39:46Speaker 9: doesn't matter if there's a huge gold medal race happening
- 39:49Speaker 9: in the Olympics.
- 39:50Speaker 1: They will come.
- 39:51Speaker 9: They will service your every single naed right there, Central
- 39:54Speaker 9: Plumbing dot Org.
- 40:00Speaker 5: The bench presented by Hoodental.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Rock.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Can we just played this for the whole last segment?
- 40:14Speaker 3: Jam this one in Bubba, shout that Juba. You want
- 40:17Speaker 3: to get Jacob Estre going. These are the ones, the goods.
- 40:23Speaker 1: They h.
- 40:26Speaker 3: They like recut this last year and they brought in
- 40:28Speaker 3: Luke Combs to do it with them.
- 40:30Speaker 1: It was great.
- 40:30Speaker 3: If anybody hasn't heard it is it was awesome. Uh,
- 40:33Speaker 3: Shintendo has still got it too.
- 40:35Speaker 5: Marty still has great hair, does he?
- 40:37Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 40:38Speaker 1: See, I haven't seen him in person.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Gave me last time I saw him.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Were they were? They were Rocked the Country.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Mark Chestnut. Mark Chestnut was in Rock the Country. That's
- 40:48Speaker 3: the one that Jake was excited about. We didn't get
- 40:51Speaker 3: out there though.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I went for Nickelback.
- 40:58Speaker 5: Yeah, well I didn't. You could rock at this last
- 41:01Speaker 5: Rock the Country. I saw them.
- 41:03Speaker 1: I know they're not coming back here this year.
- 41:05Speaker 7: There was something no longer it was like somewhere.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that was rock Country.
- 41:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Yeah, you said you hadn't asked the bench. Yeah, but
- 41:17Speaker 3: we'll get to the chat.
- 41:18Speaker 7: Ones in a second.
- 41:18Speaker 1: But you get to.
- 41:21Speaker 7: See.
- 41:22Speaker 10: All right, So in college basketball, there is one team
- 41:25Speaker 10: that is still undefeated.
- 41:27Speaker 3: You know that is so yes, but I'm gonna cheat
- 41:30Speaker 3: a little bit because Jay Davis is last week.
- 41:32Speaker 1: It's Miami of Ohio.
- 41:33Speaker 10: Yeah, they currently have seven games left. Do you think
- 41:39Speaker 10: they can finish undefeated?
- 41:41Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Sure, why not? Now are they gonna get a one seed?
- 41:43Speaker 4: Now?
- 41:43Speaker 1: No, there'll be like a five seed in the tournament
- 41:45Speaker 1: or something?
- 41:46Speaker 4: Uh?
- 41:47Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah they can't. I mean they're they're clearly at
- 41:49Speaker 3: the top of their conference.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Why not.
- 41:51Speaker 3: I've had a really good season so far. Yeah, Now
- 41:54Speaker 3: they're gonna have to go through the conference tournament undefeated
- 41:58Speaker 3: as well. That I don't know, regular season shirt conference
- 42:01Speaker 3: tournament because a lot of those teams, you know, they
- 42:05Speaker 3: have a really good regular season, they already locked up.
- 42:07Speaker 3: They rest some of their guys in that conference tournament
- 42:09Speaker 3: because it doesn't matter.
- 42:10Speaker 1: So that'll be the that'll be the one to watch
- 42:12Speaker 1: me on. I think they can do it.
- 42:14Speaker 10: Then eight teams that have been unefeated for their entire season,
- 42:17Speaker 10: including ins a tournament, and one then like championship eight teams.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Asked the bench heard briefly go over LSU wide receivers.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Who's going to be our one two punch like Malie
- 42:34Speaker 3: can be TJ. Jefferson, Chase Odell and.
- 42:37Speaker 8: Landry Winnie and Trey Wilson.
- 42:43Speaker 5: That's just off the top of my head.
- 42:44Speaker 1: No, I like it.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Do you put Trey Wilson in there, I'll go too,
- 42:47Speaker 3: completely different, Jays Brown and Jackson Harris.
- 42:51Speaker 8: I like Brown, Okay, I'll go from Hawaiian.
- 42:55Speaker 7: Yep, I got James Brown and Wilson.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Okay, that's actually what I was That's actually what I
- 43:02Speaker 3: was gonna got. I just wanted to have two different ones, Okay.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Asked the bench, Are you sure it's your baby? Yes, guys,
- 43:11Speaker 3: I'm sure, Yes, guys. I mean technically I don't know
- 43:16Speaker 3: for sure for sure, but yeah, I mean I'm I'm
- 43:19Speaker 3: like ninety nine point percent sure that it is. Asked
- 43:26Speaker 3: the bench my baby. You know about Let's Stay that
- 43:32Speaker 3: Cat Williams. Though some I've never actually seen that movie.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I've seen the clip though of it. The clip that
- 43:39Speaker 3: is one of the funniest clips I've ever seen. He's like,
- 43:42Speaker 3: that's your baby, goes. No, just because him this one
- 43:45Speaker 3: might be just because you named him Darryl doesn't mean
- 43:47Speaker 3: he belongs to Darryl. He goes, I don't care what
- 43:50Speaker 3: this baby's name is. That's white child. He's like that
- 43:53Speaker 3: kid's got a seven thirty credit score right now, Kevin,
- 43:56Speaker 3: I mean Cat Williams used to be golly. I haven't
- 43:59Speaker 3: heard even stand up some while, but he used to
- 44:00Speaker 3: be like my favorite one out there.
- 44:03Speaker 1: All right, that's going to.
- 44:06Speaker 10: Oh yeah, oh you've seen the clip of Theo Vonn
- 44:09Speaker 10: having like a statue of like a character.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it just looks exactly like Cat Williams.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, that's pretty much gonna do it for
- 44:19Speaker 3: today's Off the Bench Fun Show hit A lot of
- 44:23Speaker 3: different things. Uh, it's some saying to melochie football, a
- 44:26Speaker 3: lot of baseball talk because the Tigers will take one
- 44:29Speaker 3: the Nickel State Colonel's this afternoon one o'clock in Alec Box.
- 44:33Speaker 3: That Steven Etheridge was in the studio for his normal
- 44:36Speaker 3: eight am segment. Thanks to him for coming by l
- 44:39Speaker 3: she Beach volleyball coach Russell Brock. We had a really
- 44:41Speaker 3: good talk with him. Eight fifteen, their season officially begins
- 44:45Speaker 3: one for Friday out in New Orleans and then Devin
- 44:49Speaker 3: snow Hold, the Mayor, he opped on with us at
- 44:51Speaker 3: eight fifteen.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Normally here on Monday.
- 44:53Speaker 3: But straight from the horse's mouth, he said, I was
- 44:56Speaker 3: busy having the time of my life for the past
- 44:59Speaker 3: four days. I don't doubt it. Saw some VIDs, some
- 45:02Speaker 3: picks from out there in New Orleans. Looked like it
- 45:04Speaker 3: was a really good time. A lot of people out
- 45:06Speaker 3: there the Endemian Parade. I don't know if they could
- 45:09Speaker 3: have fit a single person out there. But again, Tiger's
- 45:12Speaker 3: coming up this afternoon. We'll recap it tomorrow. We got
- 45:15Speaker 3: two more days left, Flynn. We'll be back on Monday.
- 45:20Speaker 3: We'll see with Jake as well. But we're hanging out
- 45:23Speaker 3: with you the rest of the week. Two more days
- 45:25Speaker 3: left with you.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Again.
- 45:26Speaker 3: We got a lot of LSU baseball talk coming your way.
- 45:29Speaker 3: They start their next weekend series on Friday, so stay
- 45:32Speaker 3: tuned Thursday and Friday. We'll be right here with you
- 45:34Speaker 3: on off the bench, Off the bench,
