Latest / HEAVY Music Interviews / Still SUICIDAL After All These Years: MIKE MUIR On The Enduring Power Of Punk
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Cool.
- 0:01Speaker 2: It's Mike Beer from Suicide Tennessee's and Effects Grooves and
- 0:05Speaker 2: psychle Michael, and Uh, Suicidal is coming out to Australia
- 0:11Speaker 2: with a band called Metallica good Friends of Ours, a
- 0:16Speaker 2: bass player used to play in Suicidal. The bass player's
- 0:20Speaker 2: son is playing in Suicidal Tennessees along with Ben Wyman,
- 0:26Speaker 2: who's in a Dilager escape plan that they just played
- 0:28Speaker 2: out in Australia. And Uh, You've got on drums A
- 0:35Speaker 2: Jay Weinberg who was informally a Slipknot and H Dean
- 0:39Speaker 2: Pleasant's been a lot of time Suicide player and myself.
- 0:43Speaker 3: That's all. That's almost a super great by.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Well, there's super good people and that's the most important thing.
- 0:52Speaker 2: It's it's everybody else's background, which is which is great.
- 0:57Speaker 2: But you know, I was talking with Been a little
- 1:00Speaker 2: bit ago about he was always been pushing to do
- 1:03Speaker 2: a new record and one of the things that he said,
- 1:06Speaker 2: he goes, you know, when I was twelve or thirteen
- 1:07Speaker 2: and I was skating and I first switched Suicidal. He goes,
- 1:11Speaker 2: he goes, in moved me, you know, on the skateboard,
- 1:14Speaker 2: but also mentally maybe you know, stop and think compared
- 1:18Speaker 2: to other music. And he's like, I want to do
- 1:21Speaker 2: a record, a Suicidal record that's like that for you
- 1:24Speaker 2: know people, you know, the next generation of people and stuff.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And I think that's really good that he has the
- 1:31Speaker 2: background and what Suicidal meant to him and to be
- 1:34Speaker 2: able to try to carry that on. You have ty who,
- 1:37Speaker 2: as I said, as roberts Son, who just turned twenty
- 1:40Speaker 2: one and he's been playing with us for like six years.
- 1:42Speaker 2: And to grow up in a neighborhood where there's a
- 1:45Speaker 2: lot of pride in the band, and you know he's
- 1:49Speaker 2: obviously was little and going to shows when his dad
- 1:53Speaker 2: was still in before his dad was in the band,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and you know, then went on the playing with Ozzy
- 1:59Speaker 2: and obviously Metallic and to be shared the same stage
- 2:02Speaker 2: with his dad, that's that's a great thing. And we
- 2:06Speaker 2: just did a couple of infectious Groove shows and Tye
- 2:09Speaker 2: and Robert book got up there and did a little
- 2:11Speaker 2: based duels and stuff and it was really really great,
- 2:15Speaker 2: great time and a great thing to experience and as
- 2:19Speaker 2: a family to be able to sit there and you know.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Appreciate that, that's a great thing.
- 2:23Speaker 2: And then you know, everybody has their backgrounds the things
- 2:27Speaker 2: that they've done. But everybody has their association with suicidal
- 2:31Speaker 2: and you know they want to do their part add
- 2:35Speaker 2: their thing to suicidal to make it even more special.
- 2:38Speaker 2: And so we have a similar likeness in that sense,
- 2:44Speaker 2: you know, yeah, in.
- 2:46Speaker 4: That fantastic that by like for you you just sit
- 2:48Speaker 4: there and to say all of that about something you
- 2:50Speaker 4: created fifty years ago and it's still affecting people to
- 2:53Speaker 4: this day.
- 2:54Speaker 3: That's going to be that's going to make you feel
- 2:56Speaker 3: good bright.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Well.
- 2:59Speaker 2: It's it's great because you know, even like when we
- 3:02Speaker 2: go to Australia and so there's so many people. I
- 3:05Speaker 2: lived out there for a bit and there's so many
- 3:07Speaker 2: people that I met over the years, from when we
- 3:09Speaker 2: first went there in ninety three when we were opening
- 3:11Speaker 2: up for hours, change and changing, no one knew who
- 3:13Speaker 2: we were, to ninety nine when we did the Warp
- 3:16Speaker 2: tour and on and on, where you know, you meet
- 3:21Speaker 2: people and then they start to have kids, and then
- 3:25Speaker 2: you see their little kid, and you got pictures on
- 3:26Speaker 2: the little kid, and you come back and now they're
- 3:29Speaker 2: six foot four and you're looking up to them and
- 3:31Speaker 2: you're like, glad, I'm glad I was nice to them.
- 3:37Speaker 2: But you see that that generational thing and how quickly
- 3:40Speaker 2: time to fly, but how much it means to people.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And when we were just in Australia two years ago, suicidal,
- 3:48Speaker 2: so many of the people and when I talked to them,
- 3:51Speaker 2: they were with the group and a lot of them said,
- 3:52Speaker 2: I haven't seen this guy and you know ten.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Years or blah blah blah years or twenty years and
- 3:58Speaker 1: we stop the uh you know that you were coming.
- 4:02Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm gonna get in touch with them,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you know.
- 4:05Speaker 2: And so I was like that was so many different
- 4:08Speaker 2: cities and places people seeing that and you know, in
- 4:11Speaker 2: the same you know group when you're there and they're
- 4:13Speaker 2: like there's two you know.
- 4:14Speaker 1: That was like I felt that was really really a
- 4:17Speaker 1: cool thing.
- 4:17Speaker 2: And you know, so that's that's beyond music and so
- 4:21Speaker 2: really appreciate that. And and you know, like I mentioned
- 4:26Speaker 2: you obviously, I was there the last time a talaka played.
- 4:32Speaker 2: And I love, I love a lot of things about Australia,
- 4:36Speaker 2: love a lot of Australians. But the one thing maybe
- 4:39Speaker 2: I don't like or I could do a little less with,
- 4:43Speaker 2: is the lack of filter and the ability the ability
- 4:50Speaker 2: to ask for things that no one in their right
- 4:53Speaker 2: mind would and try to put it in away like
- 4:56Speaker 2: it's no problem, you know, make talk to Robbie and
- 5:00Speaker 2: me eight backstage passing the snake pits and this and that.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Miss is gonna go and bring your cousins. I'm like,
- 5:04Speaker 1: what the fuck are you talking about? You know, like
- 5:06Speaker 1: it's a done deal. Oh no, he's knockna mine, man,
- 5:09Speaker 1: it's all good.
- 5:10Speaker 2: And they're like, no, no, no, I'm not getting you
- 5:15Speaker 2: in your closest seven friends and your neft door neighbors
- 5:18Speaker 2: and their cousins.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I can do that.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And if I called Robert and asked him, he'd be like,
- 5:23Speaker 2: what the fuck is wrong with you?
- 5:25Speaker 1: And I was like, you know, he's been hanging out
- 5:27Speaker 1: with Australians. Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But so it's it's like I can't hurt to ask,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and I'm like, yeah, not, I could hurt actually, But
- 5:35Speaker 2: that's that's the one side. And so you know with
- 5:38Speaker 2: the Metallica tickets, and you know, we just did like
- 5:40Speaker 2: I said, in the States, and they're doing two shows
- 5:43Speaker 2: and arenas and and I mean in the football stadiums
- 5:45Speaker 2: and and they could have easily done that here. So
- 5:49Speaker 2: it's like, man, getting hit up for tickets is is uh,
- 5:53Speaker 2: that's the only thing that takes away from the fund.
- 5:55Speaker 2: But that being said, when I was there before I
- 5:58Speaker 2: went on the whole tangent when they played the last
- 6:01Speaker 2: time that they played there, and I was going, oh, man,
- 6:04Speaker 2: that would be amazing to play with Metallic in Australia,
- 6:07Speaker 2: and and I remember, you know that, thinking that, and
- 6:10Speaker 2: so doing that is one of those ones. It's like
- 6:13Speaker 2: that it's great to be able to something happened that
- 6:17Speaker 2: you actually really really really really appreciate, and I try
- 6:20Speaker 2: to appreciate things in general, but so that's very exciting.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Then in the same sense, it's different when we do
- 6:25Speaker 2: our own shows and I love that aspect, and so
- 6:29Speaker 2: it's great to be able to do that, and then
- 6:32Speaker 2: staying a little extra and doing a two cycle micro
- 6:35Speaker 2: shows at the end and the Gold Coast on the
- 6:38Speaker 2: Sunshine Coast, and I'm gonna be able to you know,
- 6:41Speaker 2: I got a record coming out next year, and to
- 6:44Speaker 2: be able to play like new songs that are on
- 6:47Speaker 2: a record and no one's heard is kind of exciting
- 6:52Speaker 2: and fun. And that's you know, that's the way everybody started.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So to be able to do that again and and
- 6:57Speaker 2: the only other time that we did that is, uh, well,
- 7:00Speaker 2: we did the Warp Tour ninety nine. It was before
- 7:02Speaker 2: the Freedom record came out, and we were playing a
- 7:04Speaker 2: bunch of those songs live and that was like really fun.
- 7:08Speaker 2: It was like reminding me, like I said, when you
- 7:10Speaker 2: first start off, you're playing songs people don't know, you know,
- 7:13Speaker 2: and they have to listen to it, and and you
- 7:16Speaker 2: got to win them over, you know, live, and I
- 7:19Speaker 2: think that's a lot of what music is.
- 7:21Speaker 1: So I love that that part. There's a lot of parts,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but I really love that part.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Yeah, we didn't so is this gonna be your first
- 7:28Speaker 4: time playing with Metallica when you do an astrider or
- 7:30Speaker 4: if you played outstations with them.
- 7:32Speaker 2: No, we did the tours in the in the state
- 7:34Speaker 2: this year, so we did quite a few dates with them,
- 7:39Speaker 2: and uh, fortunately they're not bringing that stage. It's great
- 7:43Speaker 2: from a fan point, but from someone that moves like
- 7:46Speaker 2: me up and down steps, dodging drum risers, it's it's uh,
- 7:53Speaker 2: it's it's too much from my mind. And try to
- 7:58Speaker 2: have to be focused in thinking and not tripping and
- 8:00Speaker 2: falling in front of you. The last thing you want
- 8:02Speaker 2: to do is fall in front of sixty thousand people, so,
- 8:06Speaker 2: you know, a more traditional stage. I'm actually very excited.
- 8:10Speaker 4: About it, and of course now Evan Essence are coming
- 8:14Speaker 4: over to you. Like you look at it on paper
- 8:16Speaker 4: at first, and it seems like an unlikely threesome with
- 8:19Speaker 4: ever necessary, but the more you think about it, it's
- 8:21Speaker 4: actually gonna had a different dimension.
- 8:22Speaker 3: To the show.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I reckon, I think everything does.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You know, Originally I had heard it was gonna be
- 8:30Speaker 2: olymp Biscuit and they did some of the they didn't
- 8:34Speaker 2: play there because I said they did two dates and
- 8:37Speaker 2: the ones they did the second date with that's the
- 8:39Speaker 2: one Olympusk it did. And it's kind of it's kind
- 8:43Speaker 2: of cool to see the whole resurgence that they got
- 8:46Speaker 2: going on and getting a really good reaction. And personally,
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'm like, I really like those guys.
- 8:53Speaker 1: They've always been.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Very nice to me and very friendly, and I appreciate that.
- 8:59Speaker 2: You know, I don't know them from way back, and
- 9:02Speaker 2: you know, maybe it was different, but all my experiences
- 9:05Speaker 2: have been really stand up people, and they probably learned
- 9:08Speaker 2: a lot. You know, when you go up that quick,
- 9:11Speaker 2: that fast, that's not easy, and when you go back
- 9:14Speaker 2: down that fast and then to make a great recovery.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And I know that it's funny because when they it
- 9:23Speaker 2: wasn't good things. I think they did in Australia last year?
- 9:28Speaker 1: Was it last year? The year before? Anyhow? A lot
- 9:30Speaker 1: of my friends, a lot of people, I know, they
- 9:31Speaker 1: were like, going, you know, actually, man, my biscuit was
- 9:34Speaker 1: really good. I was like surprised and stuff. And I
- 9:38Speaker 1: was like.
- 9:40Speaker 2: I kind of like I laugh at that and stuff,
- 9:42Speaker 2: and I go, you know, it's like there's certain things
- 9:44Speaker 2: you're not supposed to and you like to test the
- 9:47Speaker 2: water to see the reaction.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I got there. They're cool. They a pretty cool. I
- 9:50Speaker 1: was like, yeah, okay, good, good, good good. You know, so.
- 9:56Speaker 4: You mentioned it first time here in two years, and
- 9:58Speaker 4: you touch on a bit before, but what's hines You
- 10:00Speaker 4: through soot and see realized.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Well we went last year and with infectious and you
- 10:10Speaker 2: know the joke is, uh, before we get there, we'll
- 10:13Speaker 2: already have our next trip planned out.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You know, I love being there.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I'm going to go there way early in October and
- 10:22Speaker 2: stay in during December. And you know a lot of
- 10:27Speaker 2: people know I was was the permanent used to be
- 10:28Speaker 2: a permanent resident and lived there in a couple of
- 10:31Speaker 2: different places, and my my three boys were born there.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And so I love it.
- 10:37Speaker 2: It's a not an easy place to commute from, so
- 10:42Speaker 2: and it makes things very difficult. And had a family
- 10:45Speaker 2: here and and everything going on here. It's it's not possible.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But I really enjoyed being there and and you know,
- 10:52Speaker 2: and in cosequality. That's why I also wanted to do
- 10:55Speaker 2: the the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast because I used
- 10:57Speaker 2: to live on the Sunshine Coast and my wife's got
- 10:59Speaker 2: family on the Go Coast and a lot of people
- 11:03Speaker 2: that I met, you know, from going way back to
- 11:06Speaker 2: my brother being a pro skateboarder and surfing people coming
- 11:09Speaker 2: from Australia to the States and meeting them and and
- 11:13Speaker 2: you know Burly Head and all of those places. So
- 11:16Speaker 2: it's it's a it's really it's really exciting for me
- 11:19Speaker 2: and like to just get into the uh off the
- 11:22Speaker 2: plane land, get to the Gold Coast and jump in
- 11:25Speaker 2: the ocean.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Yeah, nothing better? Is it? Nothing better?
- 11:29Speaker 1: No?
- 11:30Speaker 4: Nah?
- 11:31Speaker 2: It's funny because I was in Burly Heads, went there
- 11:36Speaker 2: twenty some years ago, and we were going there in
- 11:39Speaker 2: the meeting with some of my brothers and of his
- 11:40Speaker 2: friends and I was like.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Oh man, it's cool.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I got these little surf towns and blah blah blah
- 11:46Speaker 2: crossing the street and uh when I was I.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Just sat was out there. Oh when was the last time?
- 11:54Speaker 2: A few months back, and I was like waiting to
- 11:57Speaker 2: cross the street, all this traffics going, and then I
- 12:00Speaker 2: was like, wait a second, this was the exact spot
- 12:03Speaker 2: in Parly Heads.
- 12:05Speaker 1: They had no traffic that I thought.
- 12:06Speaker 2: You know, And now I'm looking at seeing all these
- 12:08Speaker 2: skyscrapers and all these you know, huge apartments that are
- 12:13Speaker 2: you know, twenty stories high and all that, and I
- 12:16Speaker 2: was like, wow, it's changed, but still still got to
- 12:20Speaker 2: love it.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So a character of that, oh.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and it reminds me the sense of like a
- 12:27Speaker 2: lot of people talk about Venice and it's like it's
- 12:30Speaker 2: changed and blah blah blah, and and you could tell
- 12:32Speaker 2: the difference between the people or they sometimes try to
- 12:36Speaker 2: magnify I've been here for.
- 12:37Speaker 1: A long time, you know, and that. But it's it's cool.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I enjoy it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And for the most part, I don't really have any
- 12:45Speaker 2: problems anywhere, and and I don't look for problems, and
- 12:49Speaker 2: I'm very fortunate that no people from a lot of places,
- 12:52Speaker 2: and you know, they welcome me and stuff and let
- 12:57Speaker 2: me see other parts and just the tourist trap, so
- 13:00Speaker 2: to speak.
- 13:01Speaker 1: And so that's that's probably the best thing, you know.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, I think the probably the biggest thing to
- 13:06Speaker 4: change with the BANDSS you hear last too, is Jay
- 13:09Speaker 4: Weiberg wasn't drumming for you last time, you daddy, mate.
- 13:11Speaker 3: So how does having someone like him thanks your live show?
- 13:14Speaker 2: I guess Well, Jay's amazing drummer and he's also he's
- 13:21Speaker 2: a really smart drummer. And when you're playing in a
- 13:25Speaker 2: big old you know I said, big old football stadium
- 13:28Speaker 2: and the stage is like totally separated and you don't
- 13:32Speaker 2: have monitors, it could be very difficult. But he does
- 13:37Speaker 2: drive the bus and he knows how to drive it
- 13:39Speaker 2: as a sports car, and he knows how to drive it,
- 13:42Speaker 2: you know, to keep everybody together and to make it
- 13:45Speaker 2: exciting and but uh, you know, keep it all, keep
- 13:50Speaker 2: it all good and fun. So he's probably the best
- 13:54Speaker 2: person I can think of to play drums in this environment.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So I feel very fortunate to be playing with them.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and you're.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Also coming armed with your first new music in seven
- 14:05Speaker 4: years too, bro, with a song adrenale ad adrenaline addicts.
- 14:08Speaker 3: So tell us about that one.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Well, like everything suicidal.
- 14:14Speaker 2: When we first was working on the song, it was
- 14:17Speaker 2: actually me and Josh Paul, which is the old bass
- 14:20Speaker 2: player Suicidal for a different thing that we were doing
- 14:23Speaker 2: and writing a bunch of songs and with Nishe and
- 14:28Speaker 2: as I was playing it to people, people are like, oh, fuck, dude,
- 14:30Speaker 2: that's a new suicidalist. No, it's not suicidal, and is thatidal?
- 14:35Speaker 2: That's cool blah, and they like help you played and
- 14:41Speaker 2: they listen to lyricy, dude, that sounds so suicidal, you know,
- 14:44Speaker 2: and like so we're like, okay, let's let's I'm actually,
- 14:49Speaker 2: you know, try to do the transition into suicidal. And
- 14:52Speaker 2: then I tried to sing the Parsonisha did and it
- 14:54Speaker 2: just didn't work, you know, And there's a lyrically and
- 14:58Speaker 2: and that, you know, and but I listen to it,
- 15:01Speaker 2: it's like, to me, that is kind of very suicidal
- 15:03Speaker 2: adrenaline attic. It's like, you know, when I used to
- 15:06Speaker 2: you know, skate or whatever anything before I did it
- 15:09Speaker 2: was you know, a little scared.
- 15:11Speaker 1: You know.
- 15:11Speaker 2: I listen to music and they'd always be a certain
- 15:13Speaker 2: track that like okay, let's go.
- 15:16Speaker 1: You know, where music.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Used to be, they have expression, used to be the
- 15:18Speaker 2: soundtrack of life rather than the background noise, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 2: And so we wanted to do a song like that
- 15:25Speaker 2: that had that straight ahead energy that if you were
- 15:28Speaker 2: at the top of the hill back in the day
- 15:30Speaker 2: and you were scared of or you know, the big
- 15:33Speaker 2: wave surfing or whatever you're going to do, you listen
- 15:36Speaker 2: to and just like you know, power through. And then
- 15:38Speaker 2: it also very suicidal in the sense of, you know,
- 15:42Speaker 2: if do you have something to say, and and a
- 15:45Speaker 2: lot of times what you have to say, there's an
- 15:48Speaker 2: expression on anything good to say, don't say it at all.
- 15:50Speaker 2: But there's also a lot of things you're gonna say
- 15:53Speaker 2: people aren't gonna want to hear. And but that doesn't
- 15:55Speaker 2: necessarily mean it's not shouldn't be sad. And you know,
- 15:58Speaker 2: I have a way of saying things that mean something
- 16:01Speaker 2: to me in the suit side way. And you know,
- 16:03Speaker 2: it starts off and says life isn't fair. No one
- 16:07Speaker 2: said it would be, you know, and it has those
- 16:11Speaker 2: different callback things that basically, you know, leave it up
- 16:15Speaker 2: to it leaves it up to you, you know, at
- 16:18Speaker 2: the end of the day, we can have the worst luck,
- 16:20Speaker 2: we can have all kinds of terrible things, we can
- 16:23Speaker 2: happen in this and that, But ultimately, at the end
- 16:25Speaker 2: of the day, you know, you're going to have to
- 16:28Speaker 2: decide what you accept, what you tolerate, and what you're
- 16:31Speaker 2: willing to fight for, you know, and how you're going
- 16:34Speaker 2: to live your life. And we're all quote unquote alive,
- 16:38Speaker 2: but we're not all living. And I think that sometimes
- 16:41Speaker 2: we find things to kind of substitute and pat us
- 16:45Speaker 2: per se so that we don't have to live, And
- 16:49Speaker 2: then we find things that keep us distracted so that
- 16:53Speaker 2: people won't question the way that we live. And I
- 16:57Speaker 2: think a lot of times when people talk about other
- 16:59Speaker 2: people questioning them, I go, I don't think you're really
- 17:02Speaker 2: worried about other people questioning because you don't give a
- 17:04Speaker 2: fuck what they think. I think you don't want I
- 17:07Speaker 2: think you don't want them to question because you actually
- 17:10Speaker 2: do give a fuck about yourself. And it's easy to
- 17:14Speaker 2: say that you don't care about them, you know, But
- 17:17Speaker 2: I don't think you're necessarily happy, you know, and you
- 17:21Speaker 2: don't want to question yourself. And we all need to
- 17:24Speaker 2: question ourselves more often than we'd like to and it's
- 17:27Speaker 2: usually a very painful conversation and very uncomfortable. But if
- 17:32Speaker 2: you don't have to have it, great, I feel good
- 17:34Speaker 2: for you. But you know that bikes smile. I want
- 17:37Speaker 2: to get you so far.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yeah, damns right and your Voice of Nations together to brill.
- 17:42Speaker 4: I want to first listen to that song. It's sort
- 17:44Speaker 4: of at first it was like a bit I was
- 17:46Speaker 4: out on you, but as the song Guys on You,
- 17:48Speaker 4: guys vitalized really well together.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It's funny because.
- 17:56Speaker 2: The thing that we're doing is called Cycostar, and some
- 17:59Speaker 2: of it it's a like I go, I'm seeing on
- 18:01Speaker 2: there and there are people like no, no, no, and
- 18:02Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm on.
- 18:03Speaker 1: There too, and they're like, no, no, no, that's just
- 18:05Speaker 1: I only hear the chick. And I'm like, well, thank
- 18:08Speaker 1: you for putting it that way, but I'm on there too,
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know. And they have to go in the tracks
- 18:14Speaker 1: and be like, oh, yeah you are there and stuff.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I'm like, it's like, okay, thank you for that compliment.
- 18:20Speaker 1: They're like, well, sounds good. Sounds good.
- 18:22Speaker 2: I'm like, you say, guys, sound good as a chick,
- 18:25Speaker 2: but yeah, I in adrenaline addict.
- 18:30Speaker 1: There is definitely the contrast.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And I think that's you know, that's that's you know,
- 18:34Speaker 2: the good and badison, and you know, you can't always
- 18:37Speaker 2: decipher what it is. After the fact. It's a lot
- 18:39Speaker 2: easier too, you know. And you know, so many times
- 18:42Speaker 2: even with people, so many times people oh they're so nice,
- 18:44Speaker 2: they're so great. I'm like, why because they smiled and
- 18:48Speaker 2: they told you everything they could thought you'd want to hear,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you know, and just oh yeah, yeah, and agreed with
- 18:55Speaker 2: everything that makes them a great person. And nah, they're
- 18:58Speaker 2: just sucking you in, you sizing you up for the kill.
- 19:02Speaker 2: You know, there's there's no sincerity there whatsoever, you know.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So anyhow, Yeah, it's it's uh, it's uh, it's it's
- 19:11Speaker 2: kind of funny and it's cool and uh, it's it's
- 19:13Speaker 2: also exciting to do something different, to be able to
- 19:18Speaker 2: do things that are different and to have the Cycle
- 19:21Speaker 2: Michael record coming out and be assigned with VMG and
- 19:24Speaker 2: it's coming out at the beginning of next year, and
- 19:27Speaker 2: it's going to have like some new suicidal, new infectious groups,
- 19:33Speaker 2: all different stuff that unreleased or new stuff that I
- 19:36Speaker 2: never put out. It's kind of a new cycle Star
- 19:38Speaker 2: song to introduce that and uh so it's it's kind
- 19:42Speaker 2: of like all over the place, and that's kind of
- 19:44Speaker 2: like my life, you know, and my musical preferences.
- 19:49Speaker 3: You wouldn't have it any other way, would your brother?
- 19:51Speaker 1: No? No, not at all, you know.
- 19:53Speaker 2: And uh, I don't try to be chaotic, to be chaotic,
- 19:58Speaker 2: and I found a lot of times p what people
- 20:00Speaker 2: describe as chaotic. I find it very comfortable and it's
- 20:06Speaker 2: very logical. And I find that when people don't agree,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and when they eventually sometimes they do agree, it scares them.
- 20:14Speaker 2: They go, actually, that actually makes sense to me.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Now I'm scared.
- 20:18Speaker 2: But yeah, I think we see all see things in
- 20:21Speaker 2: a all different way, and sometimes we squint our eyes
- 20:24Speaker 2: to see what we want to see. And I've never
- 20:26Speaker 2: been an ice winner, you know. I have a bad
- 20:29Speaker 2: eyesight to begin with. So I always try to see
- 20:32Speaker 2: way the way things are, and you know, work to
- 20:36Speaker 2: get them the way that I want to be. But
- 20:38Speaker 2: before I try to change something, make sure I know
- 20:42Speaker 2: what I.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Want and why I want it, and that it is.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Important, you know, and how it affects other people and
- 20:48Speaker 2: all those other different levels. It gets so convoluted that
- 20:51Speaker 2: it's kind of like breathing. You know, you can hold
- 20:55Speaker 2: your breath, you can breathe fast.
- 20:56Speaker 1: But you know, we breathe. We don't have to think
- 20:58Speaker 1: about it.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And that's kind of how the way I think is
- 21:02Speaker 2: is just I don't need to think about it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I just think it happens.
- 21:06Speaker 2: And if I thought about it, I probably would confuse
- 21:08Speaker 2: the hell out of myself.
- 21:10Speaker 3: That's the best lodging come my head.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, the logical thoughts of the logical thoughts of a
- 21:16Speaker 2: lunatic man.
- 21:18Speaker 3: But just so I'm pretty bit of one.
- 21:21Speaker 4: This something might before you wake and stuff up and
- 21:23Speaker 4: you probably do you remember you why I'm people want
- 21:25Speaker 4: to see my house?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, No, It's funny because, uh, on the zoom thing,
- 21:30Speaker 2: people trip out there, like what are you doing? I'm like,
- 21:32Speaker 2: I can't ever since I've been a little and and uh,
- 21:37Speaker 2: I just I pace around and and when I even
- 21:41Speaker 2: have the phone, they're like people jack gas on it
- 21:45Speaker 2: because I just like walk around on the phone and stuff.
- 21:48Speaker 2: And I'll get go out like sometimes outside, and then
- 21:51Speaker 2: I'll start walking somewhere or whatever, and then I'm like
- 21:55Speaker 2: I'm an hour away and then I'm like, oh shit, okay,
- 22:01Speaker 2: we've got GPS on this, Yeah, get another call.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Where are you at? I'm like, I'm on the phone,
- 22:07Speaker 1: but where I don't know.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I've got my hand up. Look come here.
- 22:12Speaker 1: They're like, well, how long have you been on the phone?
- 22:15Speaker 1: About forty five minutes? And the okay, okay, you're forty
- 22:17Speaker 1: five minutes away.
- 22:18Speaker 3: And so you're at the circumference. Yeah, having to drive?
- 22:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you know right, well the recital Tennessee is in Australia.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Problem I remember. The first is Metallica. They got to
- 22:29Speaker 3: swag in their own side shows going on.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Mike's got a couple of Sichie Mike shows on the
- 22:33Speaker 4: Gold Coast Brothers, so good on.
- 22:34Speaker 3: You're looking forward to seeing the mate and I'll catch
- 22:36Speaker 3: you at the Briste shirt.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Cool sounds great man. I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
