- 0:00Happy Monday morning everybody, I had a wonderful weekend.
- 0:08Went to a hot Atlanta baby Atlanta, GA, flew down there
- 0:14with my dear friend John Scotone on that SR22 aeroplane, landed
- 0:22and made our way to the hotel and boy was nice.
- 0:26I thought the temperature was really nice.
- 0:28Did not need a jacket on Saturday night.
- 0:31But boy, when we woke up Sunday morning in Atlanta, it was
- 0:36beautiful. It was sunny and my gosh was it
- 0:40windy and cold. But the racing was hot on the
- 0:44racetrack. Had a wonderful time and so much
- 0:51to talk about. So we're going to have a short
- 0:53monologue so we can get right to it today.
- 0:58Would you look here? Lucy loves me.
- 1:07Lucy loves me. OK, man, old man.
- 1:14NASCAR is on a roll. Two straight weeks or six
- 1:20straight races, Trucks, O'Reilly Auto Parts and the Cup Series at
- 1:26Daytona. All three races come around to
- 1:30the start. Finish line ended under green,
- 1:35took a break, went to hot Atlanta.
- 1:38It was supposed to rain in Atlanta.
- 1:40Remember the good Lord, said NASCAR.
- 1:45You've been roughed up enough. We're going to give you a gift.
- 1:49So NASCAR gets everything in Atlanta.
- 1:54Course it was cold and windy and all three races come right
- 1:59around to the start finish line and they ended under green.
- 2:04NASCAR right now has learned an incredible lesson and they are
- 2:11finally after 20 years, NASCAR is officially back.
- 2:21Couple things have happened that caught me off guard.
- 2:26Number one, while I was at Atlanta and I was doing
- 2:30Trackside live, remember, I was there with thousands of fans.
- 2:36That hell yeah. A deal.
- 2:39Hell yeah. You know, I kind of made fun of
- 2:43it. I said, oh, so this is going to
- 2:44bring NASCAR back? Hell yeah.
- 2:47Nick, Can you imagine being in a very mature meeting with all the
- 2:52business people? You know, NASCAR pays this group
- 2:57and says, OK, we're going to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars
- 3:01to study and see what can bring the sport back and make the fans
- 3:04love us. Could you imagine if Rodger
- 3:07Penske was in that meeting? And here's the finality, Mr.
- 3:13Penske. We know you're worth over two $3
- 3:17billion. Rodger's very serious.
- 3:21Yes, Rodger, if we say 2 words, it will bring the sport back.
- 3:28We're going to make everybody go hell yeah.
- 3:32I'm telling you, I was there. We had so much fun at Trackside
- 3:37Live. And then after that, I went up
- 3:40to the Turn 1 suite. It is Atlanta's biggest suite.
- 3:46All I would do was go one 2-3 and the fans would scream
- 3:53deafening scream. Hell yeah, hell yeah.
- 3:59Makes them feel like we're back. It is amazing.
- 4:02I know, as goofy as it sounds right now, it is like this rally
- 4:07cry. It's like we recognize you
- 4:10rednecks and all of us. They love it.
- 4:14Who would have ever thought respond right here, dude.
- 4:22I mean, you could tell by my face.
- 4:26I guess that's why those marketing companies make
- 4:29millions of dollars. Who would have ever thought, you
- 4:33know, that, that that company is saying, OK, what do we want to
- 4:35accomplish here? And NASCAR probably had to give
- 4:38them all the results. Like you're using artificial
- 4:41intelligence. Hey, who knows?
- 4:43Maybe AI could have done that. Maybe AI did do it for NASCAR.
- 4:48Maybe. I don't know.
- 4:51But all they did was they told the company.
- 4:53OK, look, you know, we've, we've made our old fans mad.
- 4:58You know, they, they felt like we went after Gen.
- 5:01Z and forgot about the old fans. And, you know, our sport is
- 5:05basically made-up of, you know, rednecks.
- 5:09Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
- 5:11They all kept saying it down there.
- 5:15I want to tell you another thing that's helping NASCAR that a lot
- 5:18of people don't realize, but I witnessed Drink a coffee,
- 5:26Michael Jordan. Oh, yeah, and Denny Hamlin.
- 5:30That 2311 deal. That lawsuit matched with Tyler
- 5:37Reddick just having a drive for his life, winning two in a row.
- 5:43OK, that's good, but where am I going with this?
- 5:47Have you noticed Michael Jordan is not quiet anymore?
- 5:51Have you noticed Michael Jordan is giving interviews to Jamie
- 5:56Little? Only Jamie Little has a way of
- 6:03making people feel comfortable. And when Jamie Little walks up
- 6:10to Michael Jordan, Michael Jordan is happy to do an
- 6:14interview with her because they know Michael knows that she's
- 6:21going to be fair. There are a lot of people here.
- 6:25I'm going to give you an example.
- 6:26When we were getting ready to leave the racetrack, some young
- 6:29man, you know, they got a golf cart company around the
- 6:33racetrack at Atlanta, and they make money for, like, churches,
- 6:37and you donate money to the golf cart and it goes to a church.
- 6:41So I then mowed our golf cart kid a little money to run us
- 6:46across the street to the airport about a half a mile away.
- 6:49Wait, He takes us in a golf cart and there's Michael Jordan's,
- 6:53you know, plane right there, jet.
- 6:56And I said, yeah, that's Michael Jordan's jet.
- 6:59The kid literally says, what's he doing here?
- 7:03I looked at the kid like he had four eyes.
- 7:06I said Michael Jordan owns three race teams.
- 7:11He owns Tyler Reddick, he owns Bubba Wallace and Riley Herbs,
- 7:15and his his partner is Denny Hamlin.
- 7:18And the kid looks at me and he goes, wait, you mean Michael
- 7:21Jordan owns a NASCAR team that falls under kids don't care
- 7:28about cars anymore. But with Michael Jordan doing
- 7:32these TV interviews, it's making networks like ESPN and, and you
- 7:39know, all the networks, it's making them recognize NASCAR.
- 7:43They're like, wait, I didn't know Michael Jordan owned the
- 7:47NASCAR team. Well, you wouldn't really know
- 7:49if it because his teams were not winning.
- 7:52Now Michael Jordan's teams are winning and he's being
- 7:55interviewed. He's on TVA lot, so hell yeah.
- 8:02Michael Jordan interviews reminding the world that I own a
- 8:05NASCAR team. So in in in a, in a wild way,
- 8:09Michael Jordan is saving NASCAR. I think that's going to be my
- 8:14headlines. Michael Jordan is saving NASCAR.
- 8:18Hell yeah. Respond right here.
- 8:23I sure am happy to see all the happiness everybody is still on
- 8:27social media now once again I'm going to acknowledge, but the
- 8:32haters are being drowned out. You all are becoming lesser and
- 8:35lesser because they're the race is just so damn good.
- 8:40That's all there is to it. All right, everybody, we getting
- 8:44ready to do Herman Schrader. We're going to talk about it
- 8:50all. Have a great Monday, everybody.
