Beacon Below the Canyon: How a Mountain Vanished a Skier
A pulse of an avalanche beacon showed up 1,300 feet below the nearest snowpack - transmitting at 457 kHz and 62% battery - and a methodical backcountry skier had vanished four days earlier; how did a man who logged 37 consecutive outings and folded his protein-bar wrapper exactly the same way end up erased from the mountain’s trail? What single piece of evidence was deliberately placed where it should not have been, and who moved it?
In this episode, you’ll hear the timeline from the morning Jerry Andrews was last seen to the discovery…
