- 0:01So last year the Courier male here in QLD published several
- 0:05articles which in my opinion glamorised only fans.
- 0:10They were framing it as a legitimate career career path
- 0:14for young Queenslanders. They highlighted success
- 0:18stories, talked about income, presented online sexual content
- 0:24creation as empowerment, which I spoke about last year.
- 0:30I did, I did several episodes on it because to be honest, I'll
- 0:33just disgusted in the way they framed, they framed these
- 0:37articles presenting them as these legitimate career choices.
- 0:41And you know, today, this very day, and what is it?
- 0:45The sixth of the 7th here in in Queensland, where I am, it's
- 0:48Monday the 6th of the 7th, 2026. The same newspaper has published
- 0:53a new article warning that Australian schoolgirls are being
- 0:58groomed into the porn pipeline through social media.
- 1:03So which is it? Career male?
- 1:05Is only Fans a glamorous career? Or is it a dangerous pipeline
- 1:11pulling young girls into exploitation?
- 1:14The career male can't have it both ways.
- 1:17I'm Jay Fallon and this is the Slippery Slope podcast.
- 1:34Clearly, OK, the Career Male promotes only fans as a a new
- 1:38generation career celebrating young women making money online.
- 1:44Several, several articles. Several articles going down this
- 1:48line of thought promoting it. They frame sexual content
- 1:51creation as normal, a viable, even admirable.
- 1:56Then Fast forward to July this year.
- 1:59Today, the Career Male warns that schoolgirls are being lured
- 2:02into selling their bodies online.
- 2:05They describe a porn pipeline that starts on social media and
- 2:10ends on platforms like Only Fans.
- 2:13These articles contradict each other completely.
- 2:18One glamorises the industry, the other condemns, condemns its
- 2:23consequences. This isn't, it's not journalism.
- 2:27This is it's moral opportunism. They're like the, the career
- 2:32male is acting, behaving like a Reed swaying in the breeze.
- 2:37You know, they're bending whichever way the cultural wind
- 2:40blows. They have no standards, no
- 2:44consistency, and no moral backbone.
- 2:48They're they're not protecting young people.
- 2:52They're not taking a stand, they're not offering clarity,
- 2:57they're simply chasing whatever narrative they think will sell
- 3:01today. Last year the empowerment angle
- 3:04sold, today the danger El angle sells.
- 3:08This is the instability of a media organisation that has
- 3:12abandoned truth for trends. So this is the real damage.
- 3:18The way I see it, it's the deeper problem.
- 3:21They helped creates the very pipeline they're now pretending
- 3:26to expose. When mainstream media normalises
- 3:31sexual content creation, it's it.
- 3:35It lowers cultural guardrails. It glamorises exploitation.
- 3:40It reframes prostitution as empowerment.
- 3:44And Only fans is just another form of prostitution.
- 3:47It tells young people you know this is normal, this is success.
- 3:52It creates the environment where grooming thrives.
- 3:56You cannot promote only fans one year and then act shocked when
- 4:02young girls are drawn into it the next year.
- 4:05That's not journalism career male, that's hypocrisy.
- 4:10So look, look, when I was in policing, I've spoken about a
- 4:14number of times my career in, in Queensland police, when I was in
- 4:18Korea in policing, I could see, I saw first hand out
- 4:23exploitation pipelines work. And here's the truth, they
- 4:26rarely, they really start with a criminal lurking in the shadows.
- 4:31They start with culture, they start with messaging.
- 4:35They start with what young people see online, with what we
- 4:38all see online, what's what we hear from influencers and and
- 4:42yeah, what what we even read and see and hear in mainstream
- 4:48media. When a newspaper like the
- 4:50Courier Mail publishes A glossy piece celebrating online fans as
- 4:56a career, they're not just reporting, they're shaping
- 4:59expectations. They're they're telling our
- 5:02young people this is normal, this is a viable way to make an
- 5:07income, this is acceptable, this is success.
- 5:11And once you normalise the behaviour, predators don't have
- 5:18to work as hard. The culture does the grooming
- 5:22for them. By the time an actual predator
- 5:26enters the picture, the groundwork is already done, The
- 5:29guardrails have already been lowered.
- 5:32The idea of selling your body online has already been framed
- 5:37as empowerment. So when the Courier male
- 5:40pretends to be shocked today, shocked that schoolgirls are
- 5:45being lured into selling their bodies online, I don't buy it.
- 5:50They helped build the environment where this could,
- 5:54where this could happen. They helped soften the ground.
- 5:58They helped. They really helped normalise the
- 6:02behaviour. This is why cultural messaging
- 6:05matters. This is This is why media
- 6:09responsibility matters. And This is why hypocrisy and
- 6:12journalism is so dangerous. Dangerous.
- 6:15It's what's that phrase that Ben Shapiro, Ben Shapiro uses?
- 6:20It's journalisming. This is why it's so dangerous.
- 6:26Remember, scripture speaks directly into this moment in
- 6:33James 1/8. It says a double minded man is
- 6:37unstable in all his ways. That's the career male in my
- 6:42opinion. Double minded, unstable.
- 6:44One year they're promoting sexual content creation, the
- 6:48next year they're condemning the consequences.
- 6:52It's moral confusion dressed up as journalism.
- 6:55They're just like a Reed swaying in the breeze.
- 6:59That's what the career male is doing.
- 7:01Bending towards whatever sells today.
- 7:04Remember. Remember that scripture, Isaiah
- 7:07520? Woe to those who call evil good
- 7:10and good evil. Last year the career male called
- 7:14called it all, called this evil practise good.
- 7:17They were glamorising only fans. Today, they're calling it evil,
- 7:22pretending to be shocked by the pipelines, which in my opinion,
- 7:26they helped create. This is moral inversion.
- 7:30This is what happens when truth is abandoned, and this is what
- 7:34happens when culture replaces conviction.
- 7:39So let's let's finish this off. Here's what we need to
- 7:43understand. OK, Clearly media, media outlets
- 7:48are not moral authorities. They they follow trends and not
- 7:52truth. They will promote whatever
- 7:55sells, even if it harms young people.
- 7:57Cultural messaging shapes behaviour.
- 8:00When you normalise sexual content creation, you open the
- 8:05the door the door to exploitation.
- 8:08When you glamorise only fans, you make grooming easier.
- 8:12When you celebrate selling your body online, you make it harder
- 8:18for young people to recognise danger.
- 8:21We cannot be passive consumers of media.
- 8:25We cannot let newspapers tell us what is normal.
- 8:29Online newspapers, physical newspapers.
- 8:32We cannot let culture define morality.
- 8:35We need discernment. We need clarity.
- 8:37We need conviction to stand up for what is right and not just
- 8:43what society thinks says is right one day and changes its
- 8:47mind the next. You need to you need conviction
- 8:51to stand for truth, because truth doesn't change.
- 8:55If we don't stand firm, we we become just like that.
- 8:59Read that, I said the career male is, you know, just swaying
- 9:02in the breeze, bending toward whatever the world tells us is
- 9:06popular. The the Courier male cannot
- 9:09promote only fans one year and condemn its consequences the
- 9:13next. That's not journalism.
- 9:15That's hypocrisy. They are the Reed just swaying
- 9:20in the breeze, bending toward whatever cells.
- 9:23This is exactly why we need truth.
- 9:26We need discernment. We need courage to stand up for
- 9:30moral, moral values because without them, our culture
- 9:36continues to slide down the slippery slope.
- 9:40Anyway, this is all just my opinion.
- 9:44I'm Jay Fallon. Thanks for listening to the
- 9:46Slippery Slope.
