- 0:00You're going to have a ton of money to spend.
- 0:01Why not put it in one of the top three offensive players in the
- 0:13league? We're going to be looking at
- 0:14Aaron George and saying that he can't win the big game, Michael
- 0:17Jordan said. I played 82 games.
- 0:20You don't see LeBron doing that. A game where you got to go
- 0:23before I told you giant feet. Saquon Barkley, at this point,
- 0:28say 631-672-3108 is the number to
- 1:39call. You're listening to Jabba and
- 1:44the mouth. My name is Errol Marx.
- 1:46My Co hosts are Mr. Flamethrower himself in a new year.
- 1:52He's hanging, he's dangling, hopefully not dangling in
- 1:56different areas. Ladies and gentlemen, Java
- 1:59Chamberlain and the one they call Speedy.
- 2:03Hopefully he's not hiding in his pants or hiding somewhere else
- 2:08under the damn table. His legs are together and
- 2:11hopefully not squeezing. You know what, Mr. Speedy PD,
- 2:16you heard? I'm executive producer, Mr.

- 2:54Jabba was enjoying his dinner or something.
- 2:56I, I don't know because he just laid one out.
- 3:00I Jabba, I got a question to ask you.
- 3:02Could you do the alphabet in burps because I had AI had a bad
- 3:08speedy. Stop laughing.
- 3:09I have had a friend that could do that and he's dying.
- 3:12Yeah, I don't think I I can't burp on command.
- 3:15Really, you can't do that. No.
- 3:17Really. I mean, yeah, I don't.
- 3:21Yeah, I don't think I could do it.
- 3:22Really. I could.
- 3:25Yeah, there's, there's one. You see that you got to you got
- 3:28to suck in the oxygen and just let it out.
- 3:31It's like laying a fart, you know, if you some.
- 3:34People can you can fart on command.
- 3:36Oh, absolutely, 100%. Shut up.
- 3:39I, I speedy. Can I not do that?
- 3:41Oh yeah, I could do that 100%. I'm serious.
- 3:45Dead serious. I could do that on command.
- 3:48I absolutely can, Dude. I'm all full of gas in many
- 3:51different areas. Especially, you know, I don't
- 3:54know if I'm all gas. No break, as Robert Sala has
- 3:57come out and said plenty of times.
- 3:59And by the way, they had a lot of breaks on Sunday.
- 4:05I mean, I don't know about breaks, but they lost.
- 4:08But nevertheless they have they don't.
- 4:10I don't know if they're going to get cut any kind of breaks
- 4:12against the Eagles on what is that Sunday or Saturday, speedy?
- 4:16I don't know when that. Game is Sunday, I think it's the
- 4:17middle game on. Sunday Well, you should know
- 4:19this, Mr. I know everything about sports, but yeah, it's
- 4:24been a crazy one. I want to say something.
- 4:25I know a lot of people are going to appreciate this.
- 4:28I got a new camera and it's one of the high profile.
- 4:32It's called near stream 20G and I read about this camera before
- 4:38the new year and I bought 1 and I think it's a slam dunk.
- 4:41It's a beautiful, beautiful camera.
- 4:43It's a 4K camera. Obviously we use stream yard and
- 4:47you cannot use 4K on stream yard, but anything under stream
- 4:52yard 1080. This is an exact replica, you
- 4:55know, picture replica picture of 1080K or 10 AP so or Pi,
- 5:01whatever they call it. So I've got a sensational
- 5:04camera, so nobody's going to complain about my picture
- 5:08anymore. I don't know if anybody cares.
- 5:10I got a new one coming hopefully this week.
- 5:13I know your camera is a little blurry today, I don't.
- 5:15Know, yeah, I don't know what's going on.
- 5:17I don't know, but nevertheless, you got a new camera.
- 5:20I've got a new camera job on the mouth, ladies and gentlemen,
- 5:23full of new things and prepared to give you guys a lot of takes
- 5:29tonight. And and we've got a new guest.
- 5:31We've never had him on the show. And if you don't remember him,
- 5:34he was the manager of the New York Mets.
- 5:37He's very well known, lives out in Connecticut and very well
- 5:42respected around the league. A little bit later to show at
- 5:459:00, we'll be talking to 10 year MLB shortstop in 16 year
- 5:50MLB manager and founder of Bobby Valentine Sports and Bobby
- 5:55Valentine. Very interesting to get Bobby
- 5:58Valentine on because I, I would love to know his take on the New
- 6:01York Mets and some of the the, the debacle moves they didn't
- 6:06make this offseason. Yeah.
- 6:10And some of the debacle moves that they did make.
- 6:13So I, I mean, there's a lot there.
- 6:15It is Bobby Valentino. There it is.
- 6:18That's definitely not Bobby Valentine.
- 6:20It definitely. They're completely different.
- 6:22I wonder if we put, we can use AI to put their faces against
- 6:26one another and see how they would look together.
- 6:29I don't know I that would be an interesting sight, but anyways,
- 6:33let's get into it. It's been, we have a long show.
- 6:35We got a lot of content to get into and the CFB is going on as
- 6:40we speak. The College Football Playoff
- 6:43quarterfinals did not disappoint with three lower seeds, the
- 6:48number 5 Oregon Ducks, the number six old miss.
- 6:52Rebels. And the number 10 Miami
- 6:55Hurricanes advancing to the semi finals along with number one
- 7:00seed Indiana Hoosier Hoosiers. It started with Miami and
- 7:07quarterback Carson Carlson Beck knocking off the defending
- 7:11champions Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton ball 24 to 14.
- 7:16Jeremiah Smith had 157 yards receiving for the Buckeyes in a
- 7:21losing effort, but the Hurricanes defense picked off
- 7:24freshman quarterback Julian Sayin twice, including a massive
- 7:29Pick 6 later in the game. Oregon dominated Texas Tech 23
- 7:35to nothing in the orange ball. Oregon quarterback Dante Moore,
- 7:39who could be the number one pick by the way, was solid with 234
- 7:44passing yards but 0 touchdowns and one interception against one
- 7:50of the best defensive defenses defenses in college football
- 7:54this year, Dan Danny Lanning. Morgan's defense was even
- 8:00better, holding Texas Tech to just 215 total yards with four
- 8:06sacks and two interceptions. The next game was even more
- 8:11lopsided as the Indiana Hoosiers and Heisman Trophy winner
- 8:16Fernando Mendoza destroyed #9 Alabama Crimson Tide 38 to 3 in
- 8:22the Rose Bowl. Mendoza had 192 passing yards, 3
- 8:27touchdowns while Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was
- 8:31benched in the third quarter with just 63 passing yards.
- 8:36He also got hurt so I think that's why he was benched.
- 8:38But that's all. That's a whole nother story.
- 8:40Old miss without Lane Kiffin upset Georgia 39 to 34 in the
- 8:46Sugar Bowl on a game-winning field goal with six seconds
- 8:50left. Old Miss quarterback Trinidad
- 8:53Champ Chambliss had 362 passing yards and two touchdowns in the
- 8:59win. Miami faces Old Miss Thursday
- 9:02night in the Fiesta Ball in Arizona, while Oregon faces
- 9:06Indiana on Friday in the Peach. Is that is that the Peach Peach
- 9:13bowl in Atlanta? I always, you know what it is
- 9:15these names, these ball names, you have the Peach, you have the
- 9:18beach ball. I don't know what they call
- 9:21these ball games anymore. It's it's absolutely ridiculous.
- 9:24But I want to go game for game and I want to speak about every
- 9:27single game. I want to know all your takes
- 9:30from game to game. So first game was obviously the
- 9:34the Buckeyes who showed up or didn't show up against the
- 9:38Hurricanes. And what I could say about it is
- 9:42caution Beck, I believe, I don't know if had he had one of his
- 9:46best games, but he proved why he could be a late first round
- 9:51draft pick. Now the numbers wouldn't show
- 9:53that. And I know everybody's going to
- 9:55say well, caution Beck didn't really dominate the game.
- 9:59When you look at what Sayin did, Sayin put up I think 280 yards.
- 10:03He still had a good throwing game.
- 10:06He didn't look bad. He did throw 2 massive
- 10:09interceptions, 2 really bad interceptions.
- 10:12But he's a freshman and he he was a Heisman Trophy candidate
- 10:16as a freshman. And he's going to have another
- 10:19chance next year with a very good recruiting class with one
- 10:22of the best coaches in the country and one of the loudest
- 10:25coaches in the country after the game.
- 10:27And we'll get into that in just a few moments.
- 10:29And and, and to me was just dominated by a hurricanes
- 10:33defense. This absolutely obliviated the
- 10:38Ohio State offensive line. Now, Ohio State's offensive line
- 10:41has been really, really good all season long.
- 10:44They have three guys that are absolutely going to be either
- 10:49first round or second round picks.
- 10:51They're they're tremendous. And the Buckeyes could
- 10:55absolutely run the ball and they ran the ball very, very well all
- 11:00season. But against the Hurricanes, in
- 11:03certain aspects of these game, this game, they couldn't. the
- 11:07Hurricanes in Bain, who I put, I think Bain is going to be a top
- 11:13five pick, showed why I believe you.
- 11:16You look at teams like The Jets who might trade down or maybe
- 11:20even the Giants at #5 looking for another pass rusher because
- 11:24Thibodeau might not be a part of the organization for much
- 11:27longer. Bain could absolutely be a top
- 11:32five pick, but they had a tremendous showing the
- 11:37Hurricanes front 7 and they put a lot of pressure on saying and
- 11:41and what was so impressive, and I'll I'll say this.
- 11:44What was so impressive about the Hurricanes is it wasn't like
- 11:49they were a first half team and they didn't show up in the
- 11:54second-half and the defense really had to pick up the pace.
- 11:56They were, they played well in the first half and they played
- 11:59very well in the second-half. And, and you would have thought
- 12:02that Day was going to be the better coach in this game, but
- 12:06he wasn't. And I was questioning Day
- 12:09calling the plays, the offensive side of the ball.
- 12:12I I, I, I I think before the game there was, there was a
- 12:15story that came out that Day was not the offensive corner.
- 12:19Who's the offensive coordinator? I I oh, Chip Kelly.
- 12:22No, no. Was it Chip Kelly?
- 12:23Yeah, it was Chip Kelly that that stepped down and this was
- 12:26the whole tension throughout the season.
- 12:28Brian Hartline was the other receiver coach that actually got
- 12:30promoted somewhere else. That's what I said.
- 12:32Brian Hartline was supposed to be the offensive coordinator of
- 12:36the game and like 24 to 48 hours before the game, Ohio State and
- 12:41Day announced that he is going to be taking over the play
- 12:45calling. I don't know if that affected
- 12:47the game plan, but you can see the difference early in the game
- 12:51that Saying wasn't comfortable the play calling.
- 12:54You saw that saying kept going in and out of the huddle trying
- 12:57to figure out what he wants to run and how he wants to run the
- 13:00the plays. You can see that there was
- 13:02something going on in, you know, in the circle and on the
- 13:07sidelines with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
- 13:10You think there's a miscommunication?
- 13:11Absolutely, absolutely. And and what I heard before,
- 13:15like 3-4 days before the game, his heart lines going to be
- 13:18taking over the play calling and he was the guy.
- 13:21And then you could see him on the sidelines and he wasn't
- 13:23holding anything but a clipboard or a tablet.
- 13:27And you can see that he was frustrated.
- 13:29A lot of the players, a lot of the offensive side of, you know,
- 13:33Smith, you could tell when when there was timeouts being called
- 13:37and they were huddling up on the sidelines and when Daniel Day
- 13:40was talking to Smith and talking to saying that there was some
- 13:43kind of discommunication. There was.
- 13:46Now, that doesn't mean that Day isn't a good offensive play
- 13:49caller because he's proven to be.
- 13:51If you look at his past and what he has done as a coach and as an
- 13:55offensive play caller, he's been very successful on the
- 13:58sidelines. But you can tell that they
- 14:00weren't running the ball like they usually do.
- 14:03And that was because the Hurricanes were clogging up the
- 14:05middle, forcing them to throw the ball.
- 14:07Now, Smith, we, we all know Jeremiah Smith is going to be a
- 14:11star in the NFL and he's a star right now in the NCAA.
- 14:15And I, I believe the Hurricane said, hey, listen, if this guy
- 14:19only beats us and we shut down everybody else, we're going to
- 14:21win this game. And that's what they did.
- 14:24Jeremiah Smith was the only one that was really beating him to
- 14:28the punch, saying he put up numbers and but there were
- 14:32numbers coming at the end of the game and I I do believe that
- 14:36saying has a bright future. I think the kid is going to be
- 14:39probably a top three pick, maybe the number one pick in two or
- 14:42three years. He is that kind of quarterback,
- 14:45pretty boy, has a sensational arm, can move inside and out of
- 14:49the pocket. He's still a freshman, still
- 14:51learning the game, still figuring out the game and he's
- 14:53very well coached. I expect, yes, absolutely, 18
- 14:57years old, 17, going to be 18 years old.
- 15:01He's got a tremendous future in front of him.
- 15:04But what what bothers me in this game and why the Ohio State
- 15:08Buckeyes just flat out got beaten is they obviously didn't
- 15:13watch enough film. They didn't watch enough watch
- 15:15enough tape. Because if they did, they would
- 15:17know that their front three over there with the Hurricanes are as
- 15:23dominant as any front three in the nation.
- 15:26And led by Bain, who was sensational all game long,
- 15:29putting pressure then. And that was interesting.
- 15:32I I've never seen and I've watched a lot of college
- 15:35football. At the end of the season, how
- 15:37many players, Speedy, do you know where a coach is moving
- 15:42that same player on all different facets of the field?
- 15:46They were using them on the right side, they were using them
- 15:49on the left side. They were using them in the
- 15:51middle. He was pressuring them all over
- 15:54the field. And what they were doing is they
- 15:57were trying to cause mismatches and and put them in the best
- 16:00position to get to say and and put pressure on him.
- 16:03Satan had no time in the first half, no time whatsoever to
- 16:06throw the ball. You could see it.
- 16:09And he was so frustrated going into the half that you see him
- 16:12walking off the field and he's, you know, he's biting.
- 16:16When you're frustrated, you're usually doing something that you
- 16:19don't usually do. And you could see it.
- 16:20He was walking off the field. He was biting on his his
- 16:23mouthpiece. He just looked very, very
- 16:26uncomfortable. And going into the second-half,
- 16:30you would have thought that day Speedy was going to figure
- 16:33things out. And I just think heard the
- 16:35Hurricanes were so ready to go into this game and shock the
- 16:39world because the Ohio State Buckeyes, if I'm not mistaken,
- 16:42were nine and a half, 9 1/2 point favorites in this game.
- 16:46And it wasn't. What did the Ohio State Buckeyes
- 16:50put up in this game? 14 points, 14 points and they
- 16:53were 9 1/2 point favorites. So they only scored what, five
- 16:58more or four more points than they were expected to.
- 17:01To score or outplay A Hurricanes team and, and, and a Hurricanes
- 17:05team, that is not very good as far as I'm concerned offensively
- 17:09against great defensive teams. And I will say this, even though
- 17:14when you look at Carlson Beck's numbers, they're not stand out
- 17:18numbers that really like, wow, these are great numbers.
- 17:21But when he needed to make a play speedy, he made it.
- 17:23Yeah. And that's where you look at
- 17:25somebody like saying who's a freshman that maybe has not had
- 17:28to face sensing pressure a lot of times.
- 17:30And Miami with three really good pass rushers and some good
- 17:33linebackers as well, made it hard on them.
- 17:35And you look at something like the offensive coordinating
- 17:38situation to Brian Hartline could have taken a head coaching
- 17:40job somewhere else. Obviously Chip Kelly being fired
- 17:43and then he goes the Raiders, then he gets fired over there
- 17:45too and they didn't want him back and there was a whole
- 17:47situation with that. There was just so much conflict
- 17:50that I think a freshman quarterback is not used to kind
- 17:52of thing when you've just been coasting all year.
- 17:55And again, I thought Ohio State usually, usually those kinds of
- 17:58losses that they have against Indiana team like that, that's
- 18:00usually a good reset loss refocus where you don't have to
- 18:03play the same way. And they still got phased by it.
- 18:06And Miami was a veteran team for Carson Beck, a veteran
- 18:09quarterback did not get phased by it.
- 18:10Yeah, he wasn't flashy. Yeah, he wasn't amazing, but he
- 18:13did everything right, that everything's smart that he needs
- 18:16to do in the second-half of that game to get key first downs.
- 18:18Third down conversion in the second-half were a huge part
- 18:21because Ohio State was getting some momentum.
- 18:22Miami was up early. And Ohio State got it within a
- 18:25score and Miami converted a lot of key third downs in that third
- 18:30quarter and fourth quarter to keep it going.
- 18:31And something like the Miami defense, too, they know what
- 18:35they have to do to make it harder on these guys.
- 18:37They let Smith do their thing. But Indiana kind of gave him the
- 18:40blueprint. You can stop the run and stop
- 18:42Carnell. Tate let Smith do his thing.
- 18:44And Miami stuck to that game plan with probably more
- 18:46defensive talent overall in the front than Indiana does and made
- 18:50that kind of thing work and never made saying comfortable at
- 18:52all. And on the offensive side, like
- 18:54you said, Cristobal has beaten Ryan Day before.
- 18:56Ryan Day, I've questioned at times as a good as whether he's
- 19:00a good in game play calling head coach.
- 19:02He's a good scheme guy and stuff like that.
- 19:03And obviously last year he proved me wrong.
- 19:05But again, there's other years where it's like you could just
- 19:08be all talent driven and not as good of a play call, especially
- 19:10with a freshman quarterback, and you're not going to be able to
- 19:12win like that, especially against a coach like Cristobal
- 19:14that is familiar with your game. I will say this, the Hurricanes
- 19:18could run the ball and they ran the ball against the Ohio State
- 19:22Buckeyes team that has one of the best defenses in the
- 19:24country. They've been one of the best
- 19:26defenses in the country for the last 10 seasons.
- 19:29So they have been as dominant as any defense.
- 19:31And to watch the Hurricanes run the ball and put it right down,
- 19:35they ran it right down their throats every single part of
- 19:39that game. They put pressure on the on the
- 19:42defensive side of the ball. They pressed and made sure that
- 19:45that that Ohio State Buckeyes was getting tired.
- 19:48And as soon as they got tired, it opened up the field for some
- 19:51of the tight ends and some of the wide receivers with the
- 19:54Hurricanes. the Hurricanes don't have superstar wide receivers.
- 19:57They don't have guys that really just stick out like a Jeremiah
- 20:00Smith. But they had enough offense in
- 20:03this game to put pressure on the her pressure on the Buckeyes
- 20:07where the Buckeyes were trying to run the ball early in the
- 20:10game couldn't and had to be 1 dimensional.
- 20:13When you make the Buckeyes 1 dimensional, when you make day
- 20:16one-dimensional, that's when you figure out how you can beat
- 20:19them. And I think that's the that's
- 20:21what they did. I think that's what made the
- 20:23Hurricanes pull off this upset was.
- 20:25They made the Buckeyes 1 dimensional.
- 20:28Yeah, and you mentioned the offensive line, so they have a
- 20:29lot of match of advantages that they should be able to win
- 20:32because they've done it all year, especially in the
- 20:33interior, too. And Miami was able to get
- 20:36pressure in so many different areas where they could not run
- 20:38the ball. And we've seen teams go in
- 20:40volume with coaches like that that just say, all right, we're
- 20:43going to trust him to throw the ball.
- 20:44And again, it works for an individual stat line with Smith.
- 20:46But even we've seen that at the NFL level, too.
- 20:48Sometimes you just decoy the rest of the field and just let
- 20:51the star receiver do one thing and then all of a sudden you
- 20:53don't have a consistent enough passing game.
- 20:55And again, when you know when you lost all the talent that you
- 20:57lost from last year too, from the championship team, It's just
- 21:00hard for a young quarterback to adapt.
- 21:01And Ryan Day never adapted. Stay in, obviously struggled.
- 21:04And also shout out, by the way, shout out to a guy that we've
- 21:07had on the show too, Kiante Scott.
- 21:09He got the pick six in that game.
- 21:10We had him on the show when he was with Auburn.
- 21:11Now with Miami getting the interception, but great for
- 21:14Miami's defense. Now they get a test, a test with
- 21:16Ole Miss next week. We'll see how they deal with
- 21:17that. But this is a really good win
- 21:19for a team like Miami. Yeah, I think, and we touched on
- 21:22it before on the show. I I think this is where like
- 21:25era, like you said, where you know, you're having a young kid
- 21:28and you touched on 2 Speedy, like how you made adjustments
- 21:31and you're talking about Carson Beck.
- 21:32Carson Beck has won before. He's been in these situations
- 21:37and it was, it wasn't too big for him.
- 21:39I felt like Sam was frustrated because he hasn't necessarily
- 21:43been in the situation with the stakes like this.
- 21:46And I believe that being around a winning culture creates
- 21:50winning culture when you've done it before.
- 21:52He's obviously a freshman starting quarterback at Ohio
- 21:55State, but Carson Becks was the backup quarterback for two
- 21:59national championships. So he's been around the culture,
- 22:01understands what it takes to win.
- 22:03And I for me, obviously the defense, Miami, they were
- 22:07extremely fast up front, the linebackers making plays.
- 22:10But when it came down to it, you, you never saw like Carson
- 22:15Beck panic. I mean, he's on what year?
- 22:18Like 6-5 or five. 5 is a starter.
- 22:21Well, three is a starter. Five overall in college.
- 22:23Football five overall, yeah. And where he was just all right,
- 22:27this is going to happen. They were making a little run.
- 22:29Here we go. And he was just able to calm
- 22:33down and do it because he's been in those situations, he's been
- 22:36around it. And I think that's a huge part
- 22:39when you're the leader, the quarterback is obviously that
- 22:43guy. And I'm not taking any anything
- 22:46away from saying at all because he's going to be unbelievable.
- 22:49And this is just going to make him better because he's going to
- 22:51understand what it takes to win. And it sucks losing when you get
- 22:55to this point. And I think for him being as
- 22:58talented as he is, as young as he is, it's just going to make
- 23:00him better. But for me, overall, it was just
- 23:03the experience that ended up. And, and we've talked about the
- 23:07coaching aspect where we, we think that's a part of it, you
- 23:11know, talking about the miscommunication on, on one side
- 23:13and here and there. But when it comes out, you got
- 23:16to execute, right? You got to execute.
- 23:17And you had a guy that's been there before and, and I think
- 23:20that was that was the tell all for me.
- 23:23The Hurricanes offensive line outplayed the Ohio State
- 23:26Buckeyes offensive line. That's what stood out to me too.
- 23:29Who would have thought the Hurricanes offensive line was
- 23:31going to be able to stop the Buckeyes the way the front 7 has
- 23:34played all season long? You're talking about maybe 7
- 23:38guys, 77 guys from the starting defense of the Buckeyes.
- 23:42That could be first round picks and maybe early second round
- 23:46picks. Think about it.
- 23:47And they couldn't put any pressure on Carlson Beck caution
- 23:51back early in the game was standing, you know, standing in
- 23:54the pocket, making plays, moving outside of the pocket, using his
- 23:58legs. And and again, it goes to the
- 24:00defense of the Hurricanes that were that was very, very
- 24:03dominant. Bain and Messidor, who were to
- 24:06me as dominant as we've ever seen them all season long.
- 24:09I watched the Hurricanes a couple of times this year.
- 24:12I didn't know I've heard about Bain.
- 24:15Everybody was bragging about this kid, but I didn't know how
- 24:17good this kid was going to be. And now watching them on a
- 24:21national stage in a ball game, he was ridiculous.
- 24:24Absolutely. The Ohio State Buckeyes tried to
- 24:27double team them. They use tight ends, they use
- 24:29running backs to try to stop this guy.
- 24:31He was going inside, he was going outside, He was dominating
- 24:35the line of scrimmage. And there was nothing Jeremiah,
- 24:39Jeremiah Smith could do because they were using Jeremiah Smith
- 24:42early in the game, as I would say, I wouldn't say as a running
- 24:46decoy, but they were using the short passes.
- 24:48They were doing things that you use to run running back to do
- 24:51with Jeremiah Smith because the running backs couldn't get open.
- 24:55They couldn't do anything. It was, it was to me a
- 24:58completely dominate, dominated fashion by an Ohio State Buckeye
- 25:04team that was a national champion last year, was the
- 25:07favorites of winning the national championship this year.
- 25:10I, I think everybody you heard we had Scooby on last week and
- 25:15Scooby said I'm I'm going with Ohio State.
- 25:17I had them in the beginning of the year and when you look at
- 25:20their recruiting class, you can't even argue their
- 25:21recruiting class wasn't the best recruiting class by the way they
- 25:25played all season long. They were sensational,
- 25:28absolutely sensational. And, and again, it goes to Bain
- 25:32and Messador, but I think Bain was the guy that really just
- 25:35completely dominated all game long.
- 25:39And it was, it was fun to watch. It really was Speaking of fun.
- 25:43I mean, I don't know about fun, but it was it wasn't fun to
- 25:46watch the Oregon Ducks knock off the Texas Tech Red Raiders 23 to
- 25:51nothing. And Dante Moore is is expected
- 25:55to be a top three pick. And now that The Jets are
- 25:57sitting at 2 and the Raiders at 1:00, there's going to be a lot
- 26:00of questions on where both teams are going to be looking at these
- 26:04two quarterbacks and how they're going to be looking at these
- 26:06quarterbacks and both guys are going to be facing against one
- 26:09another in the semi finals. But what I saw with Dante Moore
- 26:14in this particular game, it gets a very good defense, a dominant
- 26:17defense, was the guy was calm. He stood in the pocket when he
- 26:21needed to get outside of the pocket.
- 26:23He used his legs and he, he does it so calmly and, and so, so
- 26:29relaxing. And it, and I know everybody's
- 26:31going to look at Deonte Moore's numbers as a rusher.
- 26:34He had 10 attempts and a -12 he only, he had a couple of
- 26:39negative run backs or later in the game, but he looked like he
- 26:44was Tom and he wasn't careless with the ball.
- 26:47He made a mistake. He threw an interception.
- 26:49No question that he did. But look at his quarterback
- 26:52rating. His quarterback rating was
- 26:54132.3. When you look at a quarterback,
- 26:57quarterback rating at 132.3, you know, he was having a good game,
- 27:0226 out of 33 completed. He, he really had, to me, a good
- 27:09game that wasn't a spectacular game.
- 27:12And if he wants to go #1 if he wants to go to the Raiders or
- 27:14The Jets or he wants to go in the top three, he's going to
- 27:17have to show off his legs and his arms in the semi finals
- 27:21against the Indiana Hoosiers, who has a very good defense and
- 27:24is going to put pressure on many different sides of the bowl.
- 27:28But I, I, I will say this, the Ducks are going to run the ball.
- 27:34They've they use a lot of different guys in Hill, Junior,
- 27:38Whittington, Davison, they use a number of running backs.
- 27:43They have I, I would say a trio of running backs that can run
- 27:47the ball, including Dante Moore. So that's what they do and
- 27:50that's what they do strong. Dan Lanning likes to run the
- 27:52ball and he is going to pound it, pound it, pound it.
- 27:57Now Indiana's one of the best run stopping teams in the
- 28:00nation. But it the the thing about
- 28:03Deonte Moore that I love about him is he also has the arm
- 28:07strength, arm strength to beat you and he's got weapons.
- 28:11He has one of the best tight ends in the country.
- 28:13And Johnson, who this particular game against Texas Tech had four
- 28:17receptions for 66 yards. And then they have Benson and
- 28:21they have guys that can catch the ball in many different
- 28:24savants of the game. And Lamar, who is a running back
- 28:27that they use him in in the throwing game just as much as
- 28:30the running game. They've got weapons all over the
- 28:32field. The Oregon docks and their
- 28:34defense is one of the best in the country and they're very
- 28:38good at stopping the run. Now the question, and we will
- 28:42get into comparing in the comparison of Indiana against
- 28:45Oregon, Texas Tech. I don't know what happened in
- 28:48this game. I don't know what happened.
- 28:50I don't know if they really even wanted to show up to the game
- 28:53because this was a big game for the for a, for a team like the
- 28:58Red Raiders. They're going into the game, a
- 29:00lot of people thought they were going to be able to run the ball
- 29:03and control the clock and and dominate the line of scrimmage.
- 29:07Even though Williams had a very good game, he did rush for 13
- 29:11for 81 yards and he had a fit, but he had really what stood out
- 29:15with that 81 yards was 150 yard run.
- 29:19There was nothing they can do against the Oregon Ducks running
- 29:22the ball. And I I will say this, if you
- 29:26sit back and you watch and you watch this game, you would
- 29:30wonder if Dan Lanning just completely out coached Texas
- 29:35Tech and their offense in their defense.
- 29:37And Dan Lanning has a lot to prove going into the semi finals
- 29:40against the Indiana Hoosiers. The Hoosiers have Signetti who
- 29:44is one of the best coaches in the country.
- 29:46He's one back-to-back coaches, a coach of the year.
- 29:49So we we all know what Signetti can do and and what he can do as
- 29:53a as a play caller. I could say that Dan Lanning is
- 29:55one of the best play callers in the country.
- 29:58And if there's anybody that can beat the Indiana Hoosiers in a
- 30:02big game. And remember, I I was at the
- 30:04Heisman Trophy, you know, Heisman Trophy dinner.
- 30:08And I asked Mendoza, what was the game that stood out to you
- 30:11that changed your season? And what did he say is when we
- 30:15beat the Oregon Ducks in Oregon, that's what he said.
- 30:18And now these guys know each other.
- 30:20They played against each other this year.
- 30:23Now you know the Ducks are going to go into the game.
- 30:25They have obviously have a sour taste in their mouth after
- 30:29losing against the team that they thought they were better
- 30:32than going into that game. And throughout the year, Dan
- 30:37Lanning was questioning that particular game.
- 30:40And now you look back and you wonder, is, is this Oregon Duck
- 30:45team good enough to beat the Hoosiers in the biggest game of
- 30:50Dan Lanning's career? Speedy.
- 30:52Yeah, they're. One of the they're one of the
- 30:53teams that are most balanced, I think even going into the
- 30:55playoffs and I think of the four teams left, they definitely are
- 30:58because you mentioned it, they can run three different running
- 31:00backs and they've also run a lot of receivers as running backs as
- 31:03well, which can make it very interesting.
- 31:05Now, you're right, Oregon, Oregon's offense, I don't think
- 31:07was like super amazing in this game, but Texas Tech doesn't
- 31:10have a tough defense and it took a while to get going.
- 31:12Oregon in that game, that was a scoreless game, very sloppy
- 31:14first quarter in that game. You mentioned that one run with
- 31:17Texas Tech in the second quarter was their big spark, but then
- 31:20they never did anything else on offense after that.
- 31:22And Oregon, while they their defense did play very well,
- 31:25their offense can't start slow against a team like Indiana like
- 31:28they did in this game. And Dante, more like you're
- 31:30saying he made some good decisions.
- 31:32He made some bad decisions. I still want to see a little
- 31:34more from him for a quarterback that was one of the best
- 31:36statistical ones in the league. But like you said, landing, it's
- 31:40weird to think like landing is probably he's only a fourth year
- 31:43coach and yeah, he's one of the more experienced coaches left in
- 31:45this tournament and it's because he's coaching he.
- 31:47Is the best play caller in this tournament.
- 31:49I agree and the reason for that is I think he's making it where
- 31:53this offensive line can still dominate and even against a good
- 31:56Texas Tech defensive line and schematically they know how to
- 32:00get the blockers there to help out their running game too.
- 32:02And that just wore out a team like Texas Tech overtime and
- 32:05Texas Techies. They can't get any possession
- 32:07time on offense, wasn't going to be able to do anything.
- 32:09Now, will Oregon be able to transition that to Indiana will
- 32:12be another question because Indiana can stop the run,
- 32:14definitely. But at the same time, Oregon's
- 32:17defense shows they can play with anybody.
- 32:19And a lot of people were questioning their schedule, but
- 32:21they've definitely made a mark. And then there's the Indiana
- 32:25Hoosiers. Everybody expects to go to a
- 32:30national championship. Signetti, best coach of the
- 32:34year. Mendoza, Heisman Trophy winner
- 32:38going into a game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, a team
- 32:43that I believe should not be here.
- 32:45Notre Dame should have made it. But going into the game, a lot
- 32:49of people thought that Alabama was going to create a lot of
- 32:52problems for the Indiana Hoosiers.
- 32:54And boy, oh boy, there was no problems even set by the Alabama
- 32:58Crimson Tide. I don't even know if Alabama
- 33:00realized that they were playing at a football game.
- 33:03Maybe they were still asleep. I have no idea what was going on
- 33:08with Alabama. This is a a very prestige
- 33:12school. A-Team and and and and a program
- 33:16that's won national championship after national championship.
- 33:19I know this isn't Nick Saban. This is de Boer.
- 33:23And and De Boer is still one of the best offensive minds in the
- 33:26country. There's no question that he
- 33:28knows how to make plays and he he knows how to play a call, a
- 33:31game. We've seen him do it very, very
- 33:33well and when he did it with Washington.
- 33:36But this was his chance. This was Alabama's chance to
- 33:40knock off a number one seed and and shock the world, Shock the
- 33:45whole, I guess the committee and tell the committee you were
- 33:48right. You were right to pick us.
- 33:50Not an order, Dame. And boy, oh boy, were they
- 33:53wrong. The committee was absolutely
- 33:56wrong. Watching this game.
- 33:57It was completely dominated by the offensive line of the
- 34:02Indiana Hoosiers. They dominated the line of
- 34:05scrimmage. They I know when you look at it,
- 34:08they had three sacks against Mendoza, but those 3 sacks came
- 34:11at the end of the game before really it came in the third
- 34:16quarter. Going into the fourth quarter,
- 34:18the game was over. It really was over by the time
- 34:22they were sacking Mendoza and and The thing is Mendoza didn't
- 34:28have one of those games that really just like wowed you.
- 34:31I mean his quarterback rating was 250 point .2 which is
- 34:34ridiculous. I don't I don't remember a
- 34:36quarterback that had a quarterback rating in a semi
- 34:39final. I mean a quarterfinals of 250.2.
- 34:43But nevertheless it wasn't one of his best games.
- 34:45He was 14 for 16192 yards, 3 touchdowns, and he was sacked 3
- 34:49times. But what made the game so fun to
- 34:54watch was Alabama is, is a good defense.
- 34:57They're they're not a great defense and it's been their
- 34:59problem. And here's the thing, Alabama
- 35:02needs to figure out what's going on in the running game because
- 35:04they cannot run the ball. They've had problems all season
- 35:08long on running the ball and Alabama forever has had one of
- 35:14the best running teams and running games in all of the
- 35:17country year in and year out. Go look at the running backs
- 35:20that have come have come from the Alabama Crimson Tide.
- 35:23Derrick Henry's one of them. He's a Heisman Trophy winner.
- 35:27There's a lot of great running backs that have come from the
- 35:30Alabama Crimson Tide, but for some reason this year they've
- 35:36had problems running the ball. The offensive line that they
- 35:39definitely need to go out there and recruit better offensive
- 35:42lineman. And maybe they have a better
- 35:43recruiting class or maybe they go into the portal and find
- 35:47somebody from somewhere else. But this is not a good offensive
- 35:51line. And Ty Simpson did get pulled,
- 35:54but he was not healthy. He did not.
- 35:56He got hit too many times in the game and and again, the Hoosiers
- 36:00put a lot of pressure on Ty Simpson.
- 36:03Now the question is, is Ty Simpson going to go into the
- 36:05draft this year or he's going to skip the draft and and play one
- 36:09more season, one more year and then go into next year's
- 36:12overloaded quarterback draft? Because this year when you look
- 36:17at it, the two, the only two guys that are probably going to
- 36:20be drafted in the top 10 is Mendoza and Dante.
- 36:24Those are the only two guys that are probably going to be drafted
- 36:27in the top 10. This is not a quarterback class.
- 36:30And a lot of people question Mendoza is, is Mendoza an NFL
- 36:33quarterback? And and like we were just
- 36:35saying, speedy, is Deonte an NFL quarterback or is the NFL ready?
- 36:42So there's a lot of questions. The more if he's going to be
- 36:45ready, are they going to whoever drafts him?
- 36:46Are they going to sit him, sit him out for six or seven weeks
- 36:50before they play him? Because that's what the Giants
- 36:53did with Jackson Dart. Well, they waited only four
- 36:55weeks. They get Jackson Dart on the
- 36:56field because Russell Wilson absolutely sucks.
- 36:58And they they weren't trusting Jameis Jameis Winston.
- 37:03But what I could say about this game was complete total
- 37:08domination. Deboer got out coached by
- 37:10Signetti and Deboer is not a bad coach.
- 37:13I know a lot of people would probably say fire, fire, fire
- 37:16Deboer. This is what Deboer second year
- 37:19I and this this is the problem when it comes to fans and and
- 37:24obviously the the way they arrange the the the way they
- 37:29pick their coaches and arrange their defenses to the offense
- 37:32and and and really try to discover who they are and what
- 37:35they're what the team is personality is on the on the
- 37:39field. I I will say this, Indiana
- 37:43should be here. Indiana deserves to be the
- 37:46number one seed. Indiana has done everything
- 37:49right this season to be sitting in the semi finals as the
- 37:54favorites are going to the championship game and possibly
- 37:58being this year's national champion and Indiana's first
- 38:01national championship as as a football team.
- 38:04Yeah, it's one of those things where you look at these program
- 38:07debates of who should have made it, Oklahoma, Notre Dame,
- 38:10Indiana or Alabama and Miami, Those were the debate.
- 38:13Indiana looks like would have dominated every one of them.
- 38:15I did 38 to 3. And dominating the line of
- 38:18scrimmage pretty much the entire game is not something that could
- 38:21be taking lightly. And this is the only team that
- 38:23now we've had a sample of eight games in this new 12 team
- 38:27playoff format. They're the only team with a buy
- 38:29that actually used it and prepared for it correctly
- 38:32because the other the other seven teams in combined two
- 38:34years and now lost. And that says a lot about Kurt
- 38:37Signati. That says a lot about Mendoza,
- 38:39and Mendoza was going to take what he was given against an
- 38:41Alabama secondary that is good. Yes, it's not Nick Saban level
- 38:44good. It's not that level of a
- 38:46defense, but it's still a good defense.
- 38:48Throughout the year. They're playing against a lot of
- 38:49good offenses in the SEC. And then Mendoza, that running
- 38:52game, they just took what they were giving the offensive line,
- 38:54like you said, dominated that whole game.
- 38:56And it's something that Indiana can carry over where they don't
- 39:00have to play the same way. Speedy.
- 39:01They had almost 200 yard rushers in the game.
- 39:05Black and Hemby. Hemby had 89 yards and Black had
- 39:0999 yards. Both of them had touchdowns and
- 39:12and the like I said, they were beating up Alabama front seven.
- 39:16They were beating them up, pushing them, dominating at the
- 39:20line of scrimmage. Mendoza could have sat in the
- 39:23pocket for 20 minutes at some parts of the game.
- 39:26He was just standing there pretty and and setting his feet
- 39:29and ready to throw the ball. He had more than enough time to
- 39:32make every single throw. Yeah, he was sacked 3 times.
- 39:35Like I said, it was that that before they pulled him and put
- 39:38his brother in, it was really, it was the late, late third
- 39:42quarter going into the fourth quarter where they got all their
- 39:44sacks. They couldn't touch him in the
- 39:46first half. Errol, they didn't do anything
- 39:49to. All he had to be was a game
- 39:51manager, quarterback and you have the Heisman Trophy winner.
- 39:54Only all he has to do is game manager because they can't stop
- 39:57the run. He missed 2 passes the whole
- 39:59game. He didn't have to do anything.
- 40:02It was unbelievable. It was a massacre.
- 40:05The best moment that they showed a clip of that they showed a few
- 40:09times was this stair sitting that he gave De Boer when De
- 40:13Boer tried to do that like formation, like a drill on like
- 40:174th down to get in the jump off side so they can get a first
- 40:19down. And like they shifted a million
- 40:21times and De Boer just has this stare.
- 40:24I mean, Signet has this stare at him.
- 40:26He's like, are you really think that my team that I coach would
- 40:30jump off sides? The nerve that you would try
- 40:33that against my undefeated squad.
- 40:36He's carrying himself in such a way.
- 40:38I've been watching some more things about him.
- 40:40He keeps his coaches. He doesn't come.
- 40:42They're late at all. He's like famous for saying like
- 40:45I've this, the guys I have, they've been with me forever.
- 40:48I don't want to keep anyone late.
- 40:50I hated when people kept me after times I needed.
- 40:53I'm not your babysitter. You're done.
- 40:55Go home. Leave.
- 40:56When, whenever. When we're here, we're business
- 40:59and we're all about business practice is an hour 45, hour 30
- 41:04like he's this is mind blowing type stuff compared to what
- 41:10they're doing in the SEC. And you're seeing right now SEC
- 41:14players who are supposed to be more physical than Big 10
- 41:17players, maybe more broken down than this seemingly pretty fresh
- 41:23Indiana squad right now. But just think.
- 41:25About this because of how he's coaching during the practice
- 41:27week. Think about this, most of these
- 41:29guys came from the portal, came from James Madison.
- 41:32These guys weren't five star recruits, 4 star recruits on
- 41:35Indiana. They were like not even 2 star
- 41:38recruits and and they outplayed guys that were 4 1/2 star
- 41:42recruits, 5 star recruits. Think about it.
- 41:44That's how amazing Indiana has looked all season.
- 41:47You could see there together. I was over there at the Heisman
- 41:50Trophy dinner when when he was called up to make his speech
- 41:54after he won the Heisman Trophy, how all the players went crazy
- 41:58for him. They lifted him up.
- 41:59It was like he was Jesus Christ. That's what it was.
- 42:03It was crazy. I I, I've never seen, I've been
- 42:07to I, this was the second Heisman Trophy dinner I was at,
- 42:10I was at the Gremlins last year, OK.
- 42:12And none of it, besides Deion Sanders and Shaddor Sanders,
- 42:16none of his team mates actually came to the dinner.
- 42:19Nobody cared that Travis Hunter was going to win the Heisman.
- 42:22He shouldn't have won the Heisman.
- 42:24But you can see how much love his players have for Mendoza.
- 42:28They love him. They absolutely adore this guy
- 42:31and he might not be the most athletic, he might not have the
- 42:35best arm, but when he needs to make a throw, he needs to make a
- 42:39play and the players need a block for him.
- 42:41Boy oh boy, they beat the hell out of anybody that tries to get
- 42:45to him. Dante Moore has all the
- 42:47athleticism 100. Percent.
- 42:49Just like you're saying, like he, Mendoza doesn't have
- 42:52necessarily that kind of athleticism, but give me Mendoza
- 42:55every time. I'm sorry.
- 42:57Like you can project to the next level all you want.
- 42:59Mendoza's ready to win right now and if they can't run the ball,
- 43:05Oregon and we'll talk more about obviously the semi finals games
- 43:09on Thursday right before the game start Thursday and Friday,
- 43:12which is going to be awesome. We have to do that.
- 43:14I I just think it's, it's going to be really tough if Dante
- 43:18Moore has to do it. Speaking of, probably the best
- 43:21game of all of the CFP of all four games was, and I'll say
- 43:29this, it was Old Miss and Georgia.
- 43:32This game was sensational to watch.
- 43:35It was back and forth defense to offense at Chambliss had the
- 43:39best weekend out of any of the quarterbacks.
- 43:42He was 30 for 46362 yards and two touchdowns.
- 43:46If you know the story of this kid, it's sensational.
- 43:50The fact that Lane Kiffin is not that Lane Kiffin is laughing to
- 43:53the bank, $750,000 this guy has made in two games because his
- 43:59team knocks off Tulane and knocks off the Georgia Bulldogs.
- 44:03Nobody would have thought they were going to knock off the
- 44:06Georgia Bulldogs. But this isn't the same Georgia
- 44:08Bulldog team that we remember offensively.
- 44:11The Georgia Bulldogs all season long has had problems putting
- 44:14points up. This particular game, they
- 44:16didn't, but they made a lot of mistakes defensively on this in
- 44:19the secondary. The Bulldogs have a tremendous
- 44:21secondary and they always do. But for some reason, in this
- 44:24particular game, especially in the fourth quarter, they let
- 44:28Chambliss do whatever he wanted. And and that was to me, the
- 44:31difference of the game. And how about Lacey running the
- 44:35ball the way he did? He was sensational.
- 44:37Yeah. 2 rushing touchdowns, 98 yards.
- 44:40And, and the wide receivers think about this, some of these
- 44:43guys, they've never even heard Wallace.
- 44:45The third I I don't watch a lot of old miss.
- 44:48He had 156 yards and one touchdown.
- 44:51What is it strimbling or is how do you pronounce Stribling?
- 44:55He had he had Stribling had 7 receptions for 122 yards.
- 45:00I mean these guys, I don't watch a lot of old miss footballs.
- 45:05I don't know much about them, but I do know Lane Kiffin and I
- 45:08know how great of an offensive mind he has been in the college
- 45:12rankings and even in the NFLIII know what they can do.
- 45:16But I'm very surprised that Golden, who I I didn't know
- 45:20anything about this coach. I knew he was a defensive
- 45:22coordinator. They're playing for this guy.
- 45:24They're actually playing for a, a rookie coach that was handed
- 45:29the keys at the end of the season because Lane Kiffin
- 45:32decided I want to go and coach LSU.
- 45:34And I think Lane Kiffin made the right decision.
- 45:37I do. And I think it was wrong of Ole
- 45:39Miss not letting Lane Kiffin coach this team all the way to
- 45:42possibly a national championship.
- 45:44Because if Lane Kiffin was coaching this team, I would I
- 45:48would actually give Ole Miss or tell you that I would take Ole
- 45:51Miss as the favorite to winning this whole thing after knocking
- 45:54off Georgia. Yeah, I would have picked them.
- 45:56It's funny, we were doing the picks initially.
- 45:58I would have picked him to beat Georgia if Lane Kiffin was still
- 46:00there. I wasn't sure how the offense
- 46:02would fare without him. But this is an offensive scheme
- 46:04that's still very good and they've kept a lot of these
- 46:06receivers in very different positions to expose that Georgia
- 46:10secondary. It's not like their past rush to
- 46:11Georgia was that bad either. Chambliss made some really good
- 46:14throws when he was being hit. He made some really good throws
- 46:17in uncomfortable positions. That is something that sometimes
- 46:20you just can't defend against if you're just making that good of
- 46:22a throw. And he was a guy that was a
- 46:23transfer from FCSC. If they played some small school
- 46:26in Alabama, I think it was in even just two years ago before
- 46:29he was rising into the ranks and then came back to the transfer
- 46:32portal here and he's trusted enough to be able to do that
- 46:35work. Lacey's been one of the best
- 46:36running backs in college football the last two years and
- 46:38he was able to get enough against that tough Georgia front
- 46:41and Ole misses offensive line too, was something that really
- 46:44just dominated the whole way. And you're right, the thing I
- 46:47was worried about was more of Georgia's offense with.
- 46:48Gunnar Stockton I also noticed when Frazier went down, this was
- 46:52a different, different offense. As soon as Frazier got hurt and
- 46:56he was pretty much he walked off and he was limping and he didn't
- 46:58come back into the game. This was a completely different
- 47:01offense. Georgia ran the ball through him
- 47:04and they ran their offense through him.
- 47:05And Branch, who's been their number one wide receiver all
- 47:08season long, only had eight receptions for 67 yards and they
- 47:12shut him down. I don't care if he had one
- 47:14touchdown. They shot the offense of the
- 47:17Georgia Bulldogs down. He was the only guy that broke
- 47:20over 50 yards as far as the the wide receivers and tight ends.
- 47:24Yeah, Nate Fraser is definitely that loss was definitely hard
- 47:27for them to handle, especially in the second-half because he
- 47:30they do you rotate other running backs in, but he's the one that
- 47:33get gets the most efficient carries and it hurt them,
- 47:36especially in the second-half trying to closeout the game
- 47:39because they were playing with the lead most of the time.
- 47:41And Georgia, they've been very comfortable over the years of
- 47:43playing with the lead and just trusting their defense too.
- 47:45And Stockton, well, he had a pretty good stat line was still
- 47:47kind of inconsistent throwing the ball and like you said, the
- 47:50receivers tight ends, not the greatest thing with Georgia, but
- 47:52it still was enough for they didn't lose this game based on
- 47:54offense. Trinidad Chambles just in
- 47:56amazing, probably the best QB performance we've seen so.
- 47:58Far a long, long time ago. I, I don't remember I, I said
- 48:01it, Deshaun Watson was the last time I could remember a QB put
- 48:06up these kind of numbers in a big game.
- 48:08I mean, Deshaun Watson did it back-to-back years with Clemson
- 48:12and Deshaun Watson is one of the best college quarterbacks I've
- 48:16ever seen. And there was no playoff when
- 48:18Deshaun Watson was playing. We seen him do it in the
- 48:21national championship back-to-back years.
- 48:23So this wasn't even a national championship.
- 48:26And what Chambliss did was fantastic.
- 48:29And, and the story behind it, I mean, there, there's so much to
- 48:33talk about, which we don't have time to talk about is the back
- 48:36end story with this kid and, and the trials and tribulations this
- 48:40kid had to get to, to be a starting quarterback for AD one
- 48:44school and and to do it on the biggest stage against one of the
- 48:49greatest coaches the college rankings have seen in the last
- 48:5415 years is pretty amazing. I mean, Kirby Smart is one of
- 48:58the best defensive minds in in college football.
- 49:01And when you do it against Kirby Smart's defense, it's pretty
- 49:04incredible. No question that it was.
- 49:06Thank you to all the fans on Apple on Spotify on the video

- 50:06for Thursday. So your glasses, Nathan.
- 50:09Grow up. Hey, hey, whoa, Doo Doo.
- 50:13I First of all, great show today with Bobby Valentine.
- 50:16I loved it. He brought a lot of great stuff.
- 50:19Yeah. So Thursday books for my good
- 50:21friend Timmy Witherspoon is a two time heavyweight champion
- 50:25boxing legend. He'll be coming on 8:45 PM
- 50:28Eastern. Originally it was John Mitch,
- 50:30but he can't make it. So my guy, Tim Witherspoon will
- 50:33be joining. I want to, I want to tell
- 50:35everybody, Tim Witherspoon I met when I was a kid.
- 50:38I was, I was at the Poconos and I was sitting in the hot tub and
- 50:42he was talking and he had a conversation with my father.
- 50:45I'll never forget it. And he was like, oh, I was the
- 50:47heavyweight champion of the world.
- 50:49And I was like, who the hell are you?
- 50:50He's like, I'm Tim Witherspoon. I was like, I never heard of
- 50:53you. I've heard of Mike Dyson.
- 50:55I never heard of you. And he laughed and and we
- 50:58actually hung out with his family the whole time when we
- 51:01were there. So I'm going to mention I think
- 51:03he's going to Remember Me because I was the crazy white
- 51:05boy. So that's what he called me.
- 51:07It's a true story. Yeah.
- 51:11I'll never forget. I got into a fight with my
- 51:12father That, that, that time that we went to the Poconos and
- 51:16I ran through the woods because trying to get away from my
- 51:19family and I went. So the, the, the, if you ever
- 51:22been to Poconos, it's all there's a lot of woods.
- 51:25I ran through, took a detour and met them on the outside.
- 51:29My father didn't know how I got through the woods and got to the
- 51:32end of the detour faster than they did.
- 51:34So that's a true story. I'll never forget that time And
- 51:37I, I did meet Timmy at that time, so I, I don't know if
- 51:40you'll remember it, but I, I did.
- 51:43His sons were young. It was a pretty funny.
- 51:45It was a good time. I, I love the Poconos.
- 51:47So Tim Witherspoon, all right, first time on Jabba in the
- 51:51mouth. All right.
- 51:53Anyways, it's been a great one. First show of the year,
- 51:57something to remember. And ladies and gentlemen, we've
- 52:00got a lot more to go. Until then, this is Errol Jabba,
- 52:05Speedy fisherman, The old myth and the poop shoot saying good
- 52:11night. Oh, and Speedy.
