- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to Dirty Rush, The Truth about Sorority life with
- 0:04Speaker 1: your hosts me Gia Judice.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Daisy Kent, and Jennifer Kessler. Welcome back to another episode
- 0:13Speaker 2: of Dirty Rush. I'm Daisy Kent, and today I'm joined
- 0:16Speaker 2: by Jason Mesnik. We're here to talk all things dating
- 0:20Speaker 2: and to find out will sorority situationship survive this summer.
- 0:25Speaker 2: Hey Allison, Hello, it's nice to meet Nice to meet
- 0:31Speaker 2: you too. We heard that you have like a story
- 0:34Speaker 2: about like an abroad breakup or something along that line. Yeah, okay,
- 0:40Speaker 2: fill us in what happened? And where did you Where
- 0:42Speaker 2: do you go to school?
- 0:43Speaker 3: Did you say go to cal Poly?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Slow?
- 0:46Speaker 1: And I'm in San Luis Obispo right now too, But
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm from San Francisco.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Okay, cool, awesome.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Yes, But but the summer before I went abroad, I
- 0:57Speaker 1: met this guy also from the same school is me too,
- 1:01Speaker 1: And I ended up clicking very well with him, and
- 1:05Speaker 1: just like I feel like I was treated kind of
- 1:07Speaker 1: very nice, just being like taken out to dinner, just
- 1:10Speaker 1: on nice things that like I felt like, Wow, like
- 1:13Speaker 1: this is like a really good guy, and I feel
- 1:17Speaker 1: like I was in such a weird situation because it
- 1:20Speaker 1: was so difficult because I was also leaving for abroad
- 1:22Speaker 1: and I was studying abroad in Italy, which I was
- 1:25Speaker 1: really excited for, but it was like hard to move
- 1:28Speaker 1: forward with that situation with him just because of the
- 1:32Speaker 1: distance and like how it would play out, because I
- 1:34Speaker 1: think I was really excited to just become very independent
- 1:37Speaker 1: abroad and I feel like just gaining a lot of
- 1:40Speaker 1: new experiences. But at the same time, I did continue
- 1:44Speaker 1: wanting to talk to this guy and see where things go.
- 1:47Speaker 1: And it was I was studying abroad for four months
- 1:51Speaker 1: and we ended up trying to keep in contact a
- 1:53Speaker 1: little bit, but it ended up not really working out
- 1:56Speaker 1: like as I wanted it to, because I just think
- 1:58Speaker 1: a lot like changes over four months, and yeah, and
- 2:04Speaker 1: then I came back from abroad and it just ended
- 2:07Speaker 1: up just like being different, which was kind of frustrating,
- 2:10Speaker 1: but also like I was happy kind of about like
- 2:13Speaker 1: where I was at in my own life when I
- 2:15Speaker 1: came back, and just kind of how things played out too.
- 2:18Speaker 5: What changed when he came back.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So like he had asked me if I was talking
- 2:24Speaker 1: to anyone abroad, and I like really like I wasn't
- 2:27Speaker 1: like there was one new guy that I did meet abroad,
- 2:29Speaker 1: and I was like honest with him and I told
- 2:32Speaker 1: him about that. And then as soon as I said that,
- 2:34Speaker 1: like I met another guy there, but like I'm still
- 2:37Speaker 1: it's like he lives in Italy, Like nothing's gonna happen
- 2:42Speaker 1: after that. I think things started to change when I
- 2:45Speaker 1: said that, which kind of sucked.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So do you think or into it kind of than
- 2:51Speaker 2: you were?
- 2:52Speaker 1: I don't, I honestly, like I maybe he was, and
- 2:56Speaker 1: I think I could tell during that summer it was
- 3:00Speaker 1: definitely like in his head about how things would possibly
- 3:03Speaker 1: change when I did go abroad, and like I was
- 3:05Speaker 1: thinking about that a lot too, but I was also
- 3:09Speaker 1: very excited to have that experience at the same time
- 3:11Speaker 1: that it was really it was hard to prioritize both
- 3:14Speaker 1: things in my life.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Oh, definitely, like you were like probably having the time
- 3:19Speaker 2: of your life and like doing all these new experiences.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So I honestly, I think that's great that you went
- 3:24Speaker 2: and did that and weren't like, especially if you weren't
- 3:27Speaker 2: like together together, that you didn't have that back in
- 3:30Speaker 2: a way, and.
- 3:31Speaker 6: It's not like that you let him hold you back
- 3:32Speaker 6: at all, which is awesome because like it's like that
- 3:35Speaker 6: opportunity I can almost guarantee, like when I traveled through
- 3:38Speaker 6: Europe years ago, Like it's some of my favorite memories
- 3:42Speaker 6: where you're free, you meet people, there's nothing holding you back,
- 3:45Speaker 6: and it sounds like you really let that happen. And
- 3:48Speaker 6: if he was and if he was ready for it,
- 3:49Speaker 6: maybe just he wasn't ready, like mature enough to really
- 3:52Speaker 6: understand like she needs this for herself and if I like,
- 3:57Speaker 6: if he was mature enough, he probably would understood it.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I feel like distance is difficult when it comes to situationships,
- 4:05Speaker 1: especially over the summer. Like I've had a few where
- 4:08Speaker 1: it's just it's difficult to move on when you like
- 4:12Speaker 1: are in the same area over the summer, but then
- 4:15Speaker 1: you leave different places after. It's just it's hard, I
- 4:18Speaker 1: feel like sometimes to move forward with just like what's
- 4:20Speaker 1: to come with the distance, especially when you're starting off
- 4:23Speaker 1: a relationship too.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, So are you dating anyone now? Are
- 4:28Speaker 2: you single?
- 4:29Speaker 1: I'm not dating anyone right now. I am single. I'm
- 4:32Speaker 1: really really excited to just graduate college and kind of
- 4:35Speaker 1: just to see what comes next.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on, and I'm
- 4:40Speaker 2: so excited for you in this next chapter.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you so much, Daisy and Jason. I
- 4:45Speaker 1: appreciate talking to you guys.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Hey, Sarah, Hi, it's nice to meet you.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Where are you at.
- 4:58Speaker 7: I'm actually in Madrid.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, so you're a broad right.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Now, I'm abroad, but I move home tomorrow.
- 5:05Speaker 5: H How long are you there for Madrid?
- 5:07Speaker 7: I was here six months.
- 5:08Speaker 5: Do you have the best time ever?
- 5:10Speaker 3: It was awesome.
- 5:10Speaker 4: It was the best time in my life.
- 5:12Speaker 7: So the issue is when I moved abroad, I met
- 5:18Speaker 7: I met somebody like pretty early on in the experience,
- 5:21Speaker 7: and he's actually from here, and yes, and it was
- 5:26Speaker 7: you know, it's been going great and really hit it off,
- 5:31Speaker 7: like honestly hit it off with him more than I
- 5:33Speaker 7: have it to anybody at home, which is really crazy
- 5:35Speaker 7: because he's from Madrid, like you know, like born and
- 5:38Speaker 7: raised here, and but we've like, I mean, I move
- 5:43Speaker 7: home tomorrow, So it's like, what do I do. We
- 5:46Speaker 7: haven't set like a clear expectation, Like there's honestly been
- 5:51Speaker 7: no expectation, and how do I If I had been staying,
- 5:54Speaker 7: like with more time, I almost feel like, you know,
- 5:58Speaker 7: things would have progressed and like I just don't know.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Whether to leave it here bring it home with me.
- 6:07Speaker 5: I was like, this is like a story. This is
- 6:08Speaker 5: not a relationship. This is like what you see on
- 6:10Speaker 5: TV really that.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Post grad Like who knows?
- 6:14Speaker 7: Like I don't, I don't really know, but it's kind
- 6:16Speaker 7: of it's kind of sad, like going back and having
- 6:19Speaker 7: met someone so great.
- 6:21Speaker 8: So are you guys?
- 6:23Speaker 2: What time is it there? Like are you gonna have
- 6:25Speaker 2: you said goodbye? Or are you gonna see him?
- 6:27Speaker 7: Like no, so no, I'm going to see why. I
- 6:30Speaker 7: have all day tomorrow, I like go home at like
- 6:32Speaker 7: three am. I fight six am the next day.
- 6:35Speaker 2: So, so have you kind of been so you've been
- 6:37Speaker 2: to there like six months? So have you like basically
- 6:40Speaker 2: been together like six months or like five months or
- 6:42Speaker 2: like more like four and a half.
- 6:45Speaker 7: Like I meant him kind of like I would say,
- 6:47Speaker 7: like a month and a half two months into this
- 6:50Speaker 7: and I don't know, it's been so long, but I.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Don't know it's going so well, but like what do
- 6:56Speaker 4: you do?
- 6:57Speaker 6: Like And it's probably more intense, like I felt like
- 6:59Speaker 6: when your novel it's more intense, like when you meet somebody,
- 7:02Speaker 6: like your time is so limited and it gets more
- 7:05Speaker 6: intense than.
- 7:05Speaker 5: It would be at home.
- 7:07Speaker 7: Yeah, because like there's no like there's no like endpoint,
- 7:10Speaker 7: there's no limit, like you're just home. Like, yeah, he's
- 7:14Speaker 7: been known that I'm supposed to only only be here
- 7:17Speaker 7: like till the beginning of June, and so now we're
- 7:20Speaker 7: kind of like here and it's like what do you do?
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm like, obviously you're going home tomorrow. So I'm like
- 7:26Speaker 2: I feel like almost once you get home, like see
- 7:30Speaker 2: how you feel?
- 7:31Speaker 7: Right, I mean, like what else do you doo?
- 7:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 7:35Speaker 2: Ever been?
- 7:36Speaker 7: Like no, he's only been he's only been to New York.
- 7:41Speaker 7: He's never been to California.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Your parents know about him.
- 7:45Speaker 3: I've like told my mom.
- 7:46Speaker 7: My mom and I are really close, like she knows everything,
- 7:49Speaker 7: but like yeah, she's like kind of just like write
- 7:52Speaker 7: it out, see where it goes? Yeah, talk to him maybe,
- 7:56Speaker 7: Like I mean, who knows. Like I had a friend
- 7:59Speaker 7: actually who and abroad once and she actually moved back
- 8:03Speaker 7: to like be with the guy she met, which is
- 8:07Speaker 7: kind of a crazy story, and I'm like could that
- 8:10Speaker 7: be me? But like I don't know, I don't I
- 8:12Speaker 7: don't know if I see myself moving back to Europe,
- 8:15Speaker 7: Like that's just so crazy to think it's only like
- 8:17Speaker 7: a year away.
- 8:18Speaker 6: But how I just keep everything open, like it's such
- 8:22Speaker 6: like it may or may not work out, like who
- 8:24Speaker 6: the heck knows, but having that experience, you know, I've
- 8:28Speaker 6: got friends that met met years ago traveling abroad and
- 8:32Speaker 6: they're still married, you know, and they've.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Lived overseas and they've lived locally.
- 8:36Speaker 6: I'm just wondering, like, is he the same age as you, like,
- 8:39Speaker 6: same kind of experience in dating.
- 8:40Speaker 5: And all that.
- 8:42Speaker 4: He's a little bit older.
- 8:43Speaker 7: I mean he graduated about two years ago, so he's
- 8:47Speaker 7: just been working, but like same age, like range, slightly different,
- 8:53Speaker 7: but yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 5: Well that's good.
- 8:54Speaker 6: I mean just like as long as he's not like
- 8:56Speaker 6: some young like he hasn't dated much, you know that
- 8:59Speaker 6: that be different, but like somebody who's got experience and.
- 9:02Speaker 2: You're clipping so well, yeah, totally.
- 9:05Speaker 6: I just wouldn't shut Like if you feel like long
- 9:08Speaker 6: distance is too hard and you've done it for several
- 9:10Speaker 6: months and like it's just like breaking your heart, but
- 9:14Speaker 6: I don't know why not keep an open mind, but yeah,
- 9:19Speaker 6: is that what you want?
- 9:20Speaker 7: Yeah? Totally, Like I've never like hit it off with
- 9:22Speaker 7: someone like so great like him, like I feel like
- 9:24Speaker 7: dating culture is like so different back at home that
- 9:28Speaker 7: it's been so fun to see like the way like
- 9:31Speaker 7: guys like like in my age group act here, and
- 9:34Speaker 7: so like it's been like I don't want to like
- 9:39Speaker 7: just like discredit it and be like, oh, that was
- 9:40Speaker 7: just like a broad fun because like you know, like
- 9:43Speaker 7: you miss all the shots you don't take.
- 9:45Speaker 6: I think you got the right attitude. I think I
- 9:47Speaker 6: think you keep on going with that attitude. And what's
- 9:50Speaker 6: the worst The best case scenario is awesome. The worst
- 9:53Speaker 6: case scenario is I gave it a shot and it
- 9:55Speaker 6: didn't work out perfectly, but I still gave it a shot.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Yeah, what's that saying? Like you regret things that you
- 10:00Speaker 5: don't do? Yeah, Like I don't know.
- 10:03Speaker 6: I like, I think you've got such a good head
- 10:05Speaker 6: on your soulders thinking about this thing and when you
- 10:09Speaker 6: get home, like, have you have you thought about for
- 10:12Speaker 6: sure staying in touch or not?
- 10:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I definitely, Like I mean I want to and
- 10:17Speaker 7: like I hope that's like where his head's at obviously,
- 10:20Speaker 7: and like he says it is so like I just
- 10:22Speaker 7: hope that like that's just how it goes and that
- 10:26Speaker 7: you know, distance doesn't just like completely like kind of
- 10:30Speaker 7: break what we like have built this far, like right
- 10:33Speaker 7: off the bat, you.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Know, yeah, definitely. I'm sure it'll be difficult like going
- 10:38Speaker 2: back home too, but I feel like it'll be a
- 10:41Speaker 2: good way to like figure it out. And like what
- 10:44Speaker 2: Jason was saying, just like stay open to like that
- 10:47Speaker 2: and like other like opportunities and people too. I feel like,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and you never know.
- 10:54Speaker 5: Yeah, you never know at all. Like it's like you
- 10:56Speaker 5: never know. It's the best.
- 10:58Speaker 6: Like that feeling that you're having is so good and
- 11:00Speaker 6: so intoxicating.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Just see if it keeps on.
- 11:04Speaker 6: Going, like and knowing that he's you know, not you know,
- 11:07Speaker 6: two years younger than you, and he's got dating experience,
- 11:10Speaker 6: he probably knows more about what he wants versus a
- 11:14Speaker 6: younger guy, which is awesome. Yeah, and I think if
- 11:18Speaker 6: you do too, then I mean I think listen, listen
- 11:21Speaker 6: to mom.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Mom nailed it.
- 11:23Speaker 7: I mean, is she's saying, go for it, and he's yeah, Like,
- 11:28Speaker 7: have you guys talked about like would he I mean,
- 11:30Speaker 7: I know, you said you're still like figuring out and
- 11:33Speaker 7: so like would he ever be open to like moving
- 11:35Speaker 7: to the US?
- 11:36Speaker 2: Has he ever mentioned anything like that?
- 11:38Speaker 7: No, like we've never gone like that far as like moving,
- 11:41Speaker 7: and like he knows I have like one year of
- 11:43Speaker 7: college left. So I feel like that kind of like
- 11:45Speaker 7: stops any sort of like right now conversation from happening,
- 11:49Speaker 7: because like what is he going to do? Move to
- 11:51Speaker 7: my college town? But like I like he knows like
- 11:57Speaker 7: I love Madrid, Like I'm totally open to like coming back,
- 12:00Speaker 7: Like I can't wait to come back and visit Madrid,
- 12:02Speaker 7: like things have like that have been said, and like
- 12:04Speaker 7: he's ever been to California, like he would love.
- 12:06Speaker 3: To go see what it's like. And so like those
- 12:08Speaker 3: types of.
- 12:08Speaker 7: Conversations are like lead me to be like a little
- 12:11Speaker 7: bit hopeful that it like you know, means something, but
- 12:15Speaker 7: like as of like long term, it's like it's not
- 12:17Speaker 7: that it's not in that stage yet.
- 12:21Speaker 6: Just be hopeful, and I'm actually going to I'm actually
- 12:24Speaker 6: going to Barcelona in like three weeks.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Give me his address, Yeah, thanks, Yeah, let me know
- 12:30Speaker 7: what you think about him?
- 12:32Speaker 6: Yeah again, Like just I know it's it's like the
- 12:36Speaker 6: mentality is so easy to get kind of pessimistic because
- 12:39Speaker 6: like you're going home and you're like it's over and
- 12:42Speaker 6: I got to go back to school and I'm going
- 12:43Speaker 6: to miss him.
- 12:44Speaker 5: But I think if you flipped it on its.
- 12:45Speaker 6: Head and and you had a conversation with yourself what
- 12:49Speaker 6: we're thinking or where your girlfriends would say, and if
- 12:52Speaker 6: he's actually a really good dude, like why not?
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well I'm so glad you had such a
- 13:01Speaker 2: good experience. And honestly, yeah, like what Jason said, just
- 13:05Speaker 2: stay open and I'm excited for you. There's I feel
- 13:07Speaker 2: like there's like no like bad outcome of this. Honestly.
- 13:11Speaker 2: I mean, it doesn't work out, you meant a great
- 13:14Speaker 2: person abroad and maybe you guys can stay in content.
- 13:17Speaker 5: And yeah it works out, it's awesome.
- 13:19Speaker 6: If it doesn't, like you learned like it, it won't
- 13:22Speaker 6: feel great, but like you'll be you'll be happy you went.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Through it like you experienced abroad to the fullest an experience.
- 13:31Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a pretty great story if anything.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Well, it was great to meet you, and I'm wishing
- 13:36Speaker 2: to thank you guys.
- 13:38Speaker 4: It was so great for me.
- 13:39Speaker 2: You guys, hey me, Hey, Okay, so your boyfriend you
- 14:00Speaker 2: guys met at school then and then how did you
- 14:04Speaker 2: like go from a situationship to a relationship.
- 14:07Speaker 3: So it was actually an interesting path. I think a
- 14:10Speaker 3: lot of my past experiences with the situationships kind of
- 14:14Speaker 3: paved the way for how I acted in this relationships
- 14:18Speaker 3: last situationship. For a while in the beginning, I wasn't
- 14:22Speaker 3: sure what he wanted, and we started off as friends.
- 14:24Speaker 3: We're actually friends for like about a year before we
- 14:27Speaker 3: started becoming a thing, if you want to call it that.
- 14:31Speaker 3: And so we were talking for a while, but we
- 14:33Speaker 3: knew we were going abroad, so it's kind of like
- 14:35Speaker 3: an unspoken like what's happening, like I don't know, and
- 14:39Speaker 3: then we went into break. We still talked over a break,
- 14:43Speaker 3: over a winter break before we went abroad and everything,
- 14:46Speaker 3: but it was very unknown. And then when we got
- 14:50Speaker 3: to abroad, I think he just kind of wanted to
- 14:53Speaker 3: see what was going on, not more not in like
- 14:56Speaker 3: a way of why I want to explore their options,
- 14:58Speaker 3: but more in a what's it going to look like?
- 15:01Speaker 3: Are we going to see each other a lot? We're
- 15:02Speaker 3: in a whole nother continent. And then once we kind
- 15:04Speaker 3: of knew that it was going to work and that
- 15:07Speaker 3: we still enjoyed really seeing each other, he asked me
- 15:09Speaker 3: to be his girlfriend.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Were you excited? Really?
- 15:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm really excited. It's been really great, and like
- 15:13Speaker 3: we went on two trips together. Yeah, we went on
- 15:17Speaker 3: two trips together. I went to Lisbon and Minorca with him,
- 15:20Speaker 3: so it was like really dreamy and awesome.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Oh that's so fun.
- 15:24Speaker 5: But what's it like now back at home.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Well, he's from the Bay, so he's more near Berkeley,
- 15:30Speaker 3: and so it's kind of hard, I mean because we've
- 15:34Speaker 3: only been dating for a small amount of time, so
- 15:38Speaker 3: it's like a content adjustment where it was an adjustment
- 15:40Speaker 3: abroad and now it's adjustment being back at home. And
- 15:43Speaker 3: it's been good. We're good at communicating, but I'm kind
- 15:46Speaker 3: of in that limbo where I'm like, I'm not gonna
- 15:48Speaker 3: see him for a few weeks and then I'm gonna
- 15:50Speaker 3: see him kind of rarely during summer. But so far,
- 15:53Speaker 3: it's good and he's been great at communicating. So it's
- 15:55Speaker 3: been really easy.
- 15:56Speaker 5: And you guys are both super committed.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Do you think, Yeah, I'm and I am. I think
- 16:01Speaker 3: he is as well. Yeah, it's a it's a great start.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I mean we had a kind of slow burn into
- 16:06Speaker 3: I think we're talking for like four months before we
- 16:08Speaker 3: actually dated, so I think we're pretty committed.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Also, I feel like, I mean, this could just be
- 16:13Speaker 2: like my like take on things, but I feel like
- 16:16Speaker 2: a lot of times when people go abroad, like and
- 16:19Speaker 2: they're in like a situationship or like a relationship, like
- 16:22Speaker 2: the people everyone's kind of like, oh, I like, I
- 16:25Speaker 2: just want to have fun and like do me like
- 16:27Speaker 2: abroad and stuff. So I feel like that you guys
- 16:29Speaker 2: like actually came closer together is like very telling.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, it's actually I think it's really cute
- 16:35Speaker 3: because I mean, of course my friends are like me,
- 16:37Speaker 3: are you sure you want to do this? Like Spanish men?
- 16:39Speaker 3: You know, I was like ah, but I think it
- 16:42Speaker 3: made us like stronger and closer because it's like we're
- 16:45Speaker 3: doing such a big life event with each other. But yeah,
- 16:48Speaker 3: it was great.
- 16:49Speaker 2: That's amazing.
- 16:50Speaker 6: So how do you guys keep make sure that, like,
- 16:52Speaker 6: you guys are on the same page with everything, because sometimes,
- 16:55Speaker 6: like I know that when I did a dated a
- 16:57Speaker 6: girl while ago obviously long this, there's some jealousy like
- 17:01Speaker 6: do you guys are you open about all that stuff?
- 17:03Speaker 5: Like how do you guys deal with it?
- 17:05Speaker 3: Yeah, we're pretty open. I mean I'm a psychology major,
- 17:10Speaker 3: so I find it kind of easy to communicate and
- 17:12Speaker 3: express my feelings. I mean, it's not the easiest thing
- 17:15Speaker 3: to do for every person, but for me, I know
- 17:19Speaker 3: kind of the importance of that, Especially with my last situationship,
- 17:25Speaker 3: it was really deep and something that ended up happening
- 17:28Speaker 3: where I kind of lost trust in like all men,
- 17:31Speaker 3: to be honest. So it's been kind of not a struggle,
- 17:34Speaker 3: but it's been a journey for me to be able
- 17:36Speaker 3: to develop the trust and like appreciation for another person
- 17:41Speaker 3: in a romantic sense. But yeah, it's sorry, it was
- 17:46Speaker 3: question I really got on.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Ah.
- 17:49Speaker 6: No, No, I'm just wondering, like how you guys deal, like
- 17:50Speaker 6: like you're saying, you're like, I'm a psych major too,
- 17:52Speaker 6: so I always thought it was pretty pretty easy for
- 17:56Speaker 6: me to communicate. But sometimes doesn't matter guy a girl
- 17:59Speaker 6: that they up and you can't deal with harder questions
- 18:02Speaker 6: or some of this stuff.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. I feel like, especially since we started out
- 18:07Speaker 3: as a situationship, it's kind of like, I don't know,
- 18:09Speaker 3: there's kind of like a barrier where it's like how
- 18:12Speaker 3: much can I be myself? Like does this guy really
- 18:15Speaker 3: like me? We've been dating for I mean, we've been
- 18:16Speaker 3: talking for so long, before dating. But I think he's
- 18:21Speaker 3: a very naturally trusting person and I find it pretty
- 18:24Speaker 3: easy to trust him. He's been very transparent about everything.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I mean, I can't fully speak to that, I guess
- 18:31Speaker 3: because I don't know what he has going on in
- 18:34Speaker 3: his life at all times twenty four to seven. But
- 18:37Speaker 3: he's in my experience, been very open. And I'm someone
- 18:41Speaker 3: who's kind of an open book too, and I feel
- 18:43Speaker 3: like it's very necessary to have open communication with a partner,
- 18:48Speaker 3: especially when now we're like long distance or medium distance
- 18:51Speaker 3: or whatever. So it's kind of been surprising because I
- 18:55Speaker 3: feel like in my past experiences men aren't very good
- 18:58Speaker 3: at that, But I think I find someone who actually
- 19:01Speaker 3: is like really willing to put in the time and effort,
- 19:02Speaker 3: which is kind of surprising, but not about my own
- 19:05Speaker 3: but just like like in comparison to my last experiences.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Well, I'm so happy for you and that this is
- 19:13Speaker 2: like working out for you, And it sounds like you
- 19:15Speaker 2: found a really really great guy and that you guys
- 19:18Speaker 2: got to like travel with the world together. That's incredible.
- 19:20Speaker 6: Yeah, and you have the same energy you have, like
- 19:23Speaker 6: you know how people like either one person's chill, when
- 19:26Speaker 6: a person's gut more energy or both people match.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Like you're like, go, yeah, I mean I would say
- 19:31Speaker 3: he's a little more chill than me. I think he's
- 19:34Speaker 3: more outgoing. Actually sometimes I feel like I can like
- 19:38Speaker 3: kind of step back into my little corner. But he's
- 19:42Speaker 3: very outgoing, but he's less like bubbly, if that's what
- 19:44Speaker 3: you're asking. But I think it creates a balance because
- 19:47Speaker 3: he's super talkative and actually most of the time I'm
- 19:50Speaker 3: not very talkative. But it's great because I feel like
- 19:53Speaker 3: we kind of switch off on like oh, I have
- 19:55Speaker 3: a lot of energy today, or like I want to
- 19:57Speaker 3: talk a lot and it's like, well today I want
- 19:59Speaker 3: to listen. So it's like it's perfect. It's like a
- 20:01Speaker 3: it's a great balance.
- 20:04Speaker 6: I only have one piece of advice, not only because
- 20:06Speaker 6: it's back kind of a joke, but anytime I'm in
- 20:10Speaker 6: a conversation with my wife now and I'm like, nah,
- 20:12Speaker 6: don't worry, I'm a psych major, Like I already know
- 20:14Speaker 6: this stuff, She's like, all right, a psych major is
- 20:16Speaker 6: really going to help you with our relationship. So just joking,
- 20:20Speaker 6: but realistically, I think I think it's awesome. I think
- 20:22Speaker 6: you found somebody who's great and just keep an open
- 20:25Speaker 6: mind about everything and keep trusting.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you.
- 20:28Speaker 3: I appreciate that, and I mean, yeah, being a psych
- 20:30Speaker 3: major doesn't really apply to every situation because it's very
- 20:34Speaker 3: varied and like relationships are different, but yeah, I agree
- 20:37Speaker 3: and thank you.
- 20:39Speaker 6: No, it just gives you a different perspective on things,
- 20:41Speaker 6: and I do think that's helpful in any relationship.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Well, thank you so much for coming on me. Yeah,
- 20:49Speaker 2: thank you.
- 20:49Speaker 3: It was really really fun and new experience.
- 20:52Speaker 2: For me as well. Yes, okay, well you have a
- 20:55Speaker 2: great rest of your day, you too, Thank you great.
- 20:58Speaker 8: Bye.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Hi guys.
- 21:14Speaker 8: Hello, how are you?
- 21:16Speaker 2: I am good? How are you?
- 21:18Speaker 4: I'm good?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Are you in school? Are you graduated?
- 21:22Speaker 4: So I'm a junior.
- 21:24Speaker 9: I go to Cal. I'll be a rising senior next year.
- 21:28Speaker 9: So I'm kind of over in Westwood right now, just
- 21:31Speaker 9: for the summer, which is really nice.
- 21:33Speaker 4: So it's been great.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Are you dating grad?
- 21:38Speaker 9: So I'll give like this like shortened feel pretty much,
- 21:43Speaker 9: but basically so little context is that when I was
- 21:49Speaker 9: a freshman at Cal, there was a junior at Cal.
- 21:52Speaker 9: We were both athletes and so, like you have each other,
- 21:56Speaker 9: he played baseball. I'm on track and I was kind
- 22:00Speaker 9: of like he's older, like he has no idea who
- 22:02Speaker 9: I am, Like he honestly shouldn't.
- 22:03Speaker 4: I'm a freshman. That would be kind of weird.
- 22:05Speaker 9: And by the end of that year, his junior my
- 22:08Speaker 9: freshman year, he entered the transfer portal and went to UCLA.
- 22:12Speaker 9: We're both from the same hometown, so it was kind
- 22:15Speaker 9: of just this thing of like, okay, like I know
- 22:16Speaker 9: of you, like we follow each other on Instagram, like
- 22:19Speaker 9: but like I don't talk to you, like I've never
- 22:21Speaker 9: actually said hi to you whatever, not up until this
- 22:25Speaker 9: year in February, he like likes when of my Instagram
- 22:30Speaker 9: stories and I was just like, oh my god, whoa
- 22:32Speaker 9: Like Hi, that's really random, Like I know you, but
- 22:35Speaker 9: I don't know you. And I remember I liked one
- 22:38Speaker 9: of his stories and then he liked this like old
- 22:41Speaker 9: archived post of mine and I was like this is
- 22:43Speaker 9: just stupid. Now, like now we're just playing phone tag
- 22:45Speaker 9: and I literally just DMed him and I was like, hey,
- 22:48Speaker 9: figured i'd reach out, like if you're gonna like a
- 22:50Speaker 9: post that's like two years old of mine, like I'm
- 22:53Speaker 9: going to reach out. He's like, oh, yeah, like you should,
- 22:56Speaker 9: like please let me know, like when you're in SoCal,
- 22:58Speaker 9: like I know you're from Orange County. Like if you're
- 23:00Speaker 9: ever like visiting like UCLA, like i'd love to take
- 23:03Speaker 9: you out, like I.
- 23:03Speaker 4: Love to take you out drinks.
- 23:04Speaker 9: And I was like, yeah, sure, like i'm in season
- 23:07Speaker 9: right now, like you're also in season, so like I
- 23:08Speaker 9: don't know, but like i'll let you know.
- 23:10Speaker 4: He's like, okay, can I remember.
- 23:11Speaker 9: I was like, yeah, here's my number, texting like twenty
- 23:15Speaker 9: four to seven like all moments of the day for
- 23:18Speaker 9: like the next month. And then I was like, oh,
- 23:21Speaker 9: funny enough, like I'm going on spring break and I'm
- 23:24Speaker 9: gonna be coming home and he was like, oh my god,
- 23:26Speaker 9: Like if there's a day that works for you, like
- 23:28Speaker 9: I would love to like take you out to dinner,
- 23:31Speaker 9: like whatever you want to do. He's like, I can
- 23:34Speaker 9: take you out to drinks. And I was like, no,
- 23:35Speaker 9: I'm not twenty one, so we can't do that.
- 23:37Speaker 4: And he's like that's.
- 23:38Speaker 9: Okay, and we go out and we get dinner in Brentwood.
- 23:43Speaker 4: It was really fun.
- 23:44Speaker 9: It was just like really good like banter and just
- 23:48Speaker 9: like kind of like talked a lot from before, so
- 23:50Speaker 9: it was like, wait, I've been talking to you a
- 23:52Speaker 9: lot already and like I know you, but I don't
- 23:54Speaker 9: know you, and it was just like it was very
- 23:56Speaker 9: like seamless and easy and it was great. And then
- 23:59Speaker 9: we kept talking for a while after and like honestly,
- 24:02Speaker 9: like up until now, when I like came back home,
- 24:05Speaker 9: it was just kind of like all this like are
- 24:07Speaker 9: you in La, Like are you back yet, like like
- 24:10Speaker 9: just kind of like wanting like updates of just like
- 24:13Speaker 9: went because you knew I was gonna be back home
- 24:15Speaker 9: in LA and so but now it's kind of just
- 24:19Speaker 9: this thing of like, okay, well, like this is like
- 24:22Speaker 9: my first week back, and I literally think I'm seeing
- 24:25Speaker 9: him later today, which is hilarious. I think I'm going
- 24:28Speaker 9: out to dinner with him. I just haven't confirmed if
- 24:30Speaker 9: I want to yet or not.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Why would you want to?
- 24:33Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 24:33Speaker 9: I'm more so just like I'm really tired right now
- 24:36Speaker 9: and like we'll see like kind of like I'm also
- 24:40Speaker 9: like supposed to do something with like family later too,
- 24:42Speaker 9: but my parents were both like if you want to
- 24:44Speaker 9: go on like a date, you can go.
- 24:46Speaker 4: But I'm like, like I.
- 24:46Speaker 9: Feel bad, but it's more so just an odd thing
- 24:50Speaker 9: of like I just turned twenty one he's twenty three
- 24:54Speaker 9: turning twenty four, like he was a fifth year like
- 24:57Speaker 9: this year while I was a junior. It's like I'm
- 25:00Speaker 9: going back up to Berkeley, and like he's gonna like
- 25:03Speaker 9: I don't know, figure out what he's gonna do with
- 25:05Speaker 9: his life, like graduating, like starting real life kind of stuff.
- 25:09Speaker 4: So I'm more so just like I don't really know
- 25:11Speaker 4: like what to expect over.
- 25:13Speaker 9: The summer of just like should this just be like
- 25:16Speaker 9: a summer fling or if I should like think about
- 25:20Speaker 9: having like higher expectations. Like I feel like I'm kind
- 25:23Speaker 9: of the person where I'm just like I love my life.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Everything's great for me.
- 25:26Speaker 9: My friends are great, my family's great, school is great,
- 25:29Speaker 9: running is great, works great to where like as long
- 25:32Speaker 9: as those things are like in line for me, like
- 25:34Speaker 9: I just like become just like more emotionally available. And
- 25:37Speaker 9: I'm not like a like very like reserved or like
- 25:39Speaker 9: closed off person. It's more so just like I don't
- 25:42Speaker 9: want to get my like hopes up or like put
- 25:45Speaker 9: in more if like it's not gonna be anything crazy.
- 25:49Speaker 9: So that's kind of my situation in the shortest that
- 25:51Speaker 9: I could tell it.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I feel like you need to go out more dates with.
- 25:55Speaker 6: Him, Yeah, don't put don't put a wall, Like I
- 25:58Speaker 6: feel like that there may be a wall that you're
- 26:00Speaker 6: putting up before you even know, Okay, don't you do
- 26:03Speaker 6: you feel like is there a reason for that, like
- 26:05Speaker 6: any other relationship that maybe didn't work out or and
- 26:08Speaker 6: I get like like the opposite of a college athlete,
- 26:11Speaker 6: like seriously, but at the same time, I know how
- 26:15Speaker 6: focused you have to be for my friends. But are
- 26:18Speaker 6: you curious about are you? But you're curious about him right, I'm.
- 26:21Speaker 9: Definitely curious about him because I'm like we got along great.
- 26:23Speaker 9: He's like a really like really great guy. And like
- 26:26Speaker 9: the other thing that like kind of sold me a
- 26:27Speaker 9: lot too, is like my older friends at cal who
- 26:29Speaker 9: like were at school with him when he was still there,
- 26:32Speaker 9: like all just had like wonderful things to say about him,
- 26:35Speaker 9: and all of them were like really like happy and
- 26:37Speaker 9: shocked that we were talking. And they're like like my
- 26:40Speaker 9: girlfriends too that like knew him, and they're like you
- 26:43Speaker 9: need to keep going out with him, Like he's awesome,
- 26:45Speaker 9: he's so funny, like he's so sweet, and I'm just.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Kind of like, oh my god, Like no, it's happening,
- 26:51Speaker 4: you know, it's like, oh my god, like I have
- 26:52Speaker 4: a crush, Like no, like.
- 26:54Speaker 5: I don't you know yourself.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Oh my god, Like I don't want to do that
- 26:58Speaker 4: right now.
- 26:59Speaker 8: No, that's good.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I feel like it's good.
- 27:02Speaker 4: I feel like it's good.
- 27:03Speaker 9: I feel like the only thing that like makes me
- 27:05Speaker 9: have walls up is just like wait, it's such a
- 27:07Speaker 9: like the thought of like it working out is like, yeah,
- 27:11Speaker 9: it's great, Like he could be a great guy for
- 27:13Speaker 9: a to work out with. I think more situational wise
- 27:16Speaker 9: of just like oh my god, like I have to
- 27:19Speaker 9: like go back to school, like I have to go
- 27:21Speaker 9: back up to Nork Hall eventually and like do senior year,
- 27:24Speaker 9: and like it's it seems like kind of just like
- 27:27Speaker 9: different ends of like oh I wish I met you
- 27:30Speaker 9: like earlier. I wish we were like the same age,
- 27:32Speaker 9: like at like the same point like in college with
- 27:35Speaker 9: like graduating, but like it's so different ends of the
- 27:38Speaker 9: spectrum to where that's where I'm like, oh my god,
- 27:40Speaker 9: is it like even makes sense kind of thing.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Are you a planner?
- 27:44Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, planner.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I feel like there's never a right time, Like I
- 27:48Speaker 2: feel like always in the past when I've been in
- 27:50Speaker 2: relationships like I'm always like, oh, well, this won't work
- 27:52Speaker 2: out because this, and like I'm going back for the summer,
- 27:56Speaker 2: like random things like that. I always like overthought and
- 27:59Speaker 2: I think, like I feel like just going for it
- 28:02Speaker 2: is like the best possible outcome because then either you
- 28:05Speaker 2: find out it works or you find out it doesn't work,
- 28:08Speaker 2: and then you won't spend all this time like wondering.
- 28:10Speaker 6: Right yeah, I mean I just wonder. You've got so
- 28:12Speaker 6: many good things in your life, right are you? Almost
- 28:14Speaker 6: in some way like I don't want to spoil what's
- 28:17Speaker 6: Like everything's good.
- 28:18Speaker 9: I feel like I'm like everything's good to where like
- 28:21Speaker 9: that's like itself what makes me like emotionally available just
- 28:24Speaker 9: like wait, like I'm really happy right now, Like yeah,
- 28:27Speaker 9: I can like show up and like be great for
- 28:30Speaker 9: another person if it's like kind of reciprocated as well.
- 28:34Speaker 9: Like I feel like I'm pretty always good with like
- 28:36Speaker 9: balancing my people out, like making sure that like you know,
- 28:40Speaker 9: like if they're giving a hundred, I'm giving a hundred
- 28:42Speaker 9: like vice versa, and like keeping up with those relationships.
- 28:45Speaker 9: Like I there's nothing that I hate more than when
- 28:47Speaker 9: people are like I'm busy or like I can't I'm
- 28:49Speaker 9: busy or this, and that. It's like, no, you don't
- 28:52Speaker 9: even know what busy is. Like we none of us
- 28:54Speaker 9: know what busy is. We're all like young twenty year olds,
- 28:57Speaker 9: like you're not busy. So I feel like in that
- 29:00Speaker 9: part of like going into like next year, of like
- 29:03Speaker 9: me having enough time and like me being able to
- 29:05Speaker 9: like manage everything that I've going on like really well.
- 29:08Speaker 9: But then like on his end, he's just like, oh wait,
- 29:11Speaker 9: like I don't know what I'm doing with my life
- 29:12Speaker 9: and I'm graduated and I need to like figure out
- 29:16Speaker 9: like how I'm not going to be living at home
- 29:18Speaker 9: for the rest of my life.
- 29:19Speaker 4: It's like I'm here and.
- 29:21Speaker 9: I'm good, but like, I don't know what you're doing.
- 29:25Speaker 6: But the one benefit I think of both of you
- 29:27Speaker 6: guys being college athletes, is you both understand. He'll know
- 29:30Speaker 6: your I mean, I don't like it's a different training
- 29:32Speaker 6: totally getting, but he'll know the busyness that it takes
- 29:35Speaker 6: to do. And I think that's an interesting card to
- 29:39Speaker 6: play at first, Like if he doesn't respect that, I'm
- 29:41Speaker 6: not saying, maybe he's like, go, do you you're the best?
- 29:44Speaker 6: Be the best version of yourself. But if he didn't
- 29:46Speaker 6: respect that, that'd be a red flag right away. But
- 29:49Speaker 6: if he does respect that and things end up being good,
- 29:52Speaker 6: and what if he fits into your perfect puzzle?
- 29:55Speaker 5: Mm hmm yeah, if there he's a perfect puzzle.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, I know. It's just it's tricky. It's very tricky.
- 30:03Speaker 5: You're scared.
- 30:04Speaker 9: I'm a little scared because I'm just like, oh, like
- 30:06Speaker 9: you know, like everyone in like ourh has been down
- 30:08Speaker 9: this road so many times of just like it's again
- 30:10Speaker 9: like oh my god, I have a crush, like someone
- 30:12Speaker 9: killed me right now because I don't even want to
- 30:14Speaker 9: go down this road.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Well, I think you should go on the date and
- 30:20Speaker 2: then you can fill us in.
- 30:21Speaker 5: Okay, wait, yeah, you should definitely go.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:25Speaker 9: It's almost like, oh, like he's offering like a nice dates.
- 30:27Speaker 9: That's why I'm kind of like, oh, like I might
- 30:29Speaker 9: need to. I feel like it's better than if it
- 30:32Speaker 9: was like a oh, like come over and whatever.
- 30:34Speaker 4: It's like, wait, no, I'm not doing that.
- 30:36Speaker 9: But if it's like, okay, you're offered me to go
- 30:38Speaker 9: to dinner, like I haven't seen you in a little bit,
- 30:40Speaker 9: because the last the very last time that I saw him,
- 30:43Speaker 9: like we've only seen each other and like hung out
- 30:46Speaker 9: once within this entire period of time because I was
- 30:49Speaker 9: just gone and he was gone, and like he was
- 30:52Speaker 9: traveling for baseball and then I was traveling for track
- 30:54Speaker 9: and like whatever.
- 30:56Speaker 4: But like the last time I saw him, I was.
- 30:57Speaker 9: Like, hey, well, like this was great, Like I don't
- 30:59Speaker 9: know if I'll ever see you again, but like bye,
- 31:02Speaker 9: and he's like, what are you talking about? Like we're
- 31:04Speaker 9: from the same hometown, like summer, and I was like,
- 31:06Speaker 9: I mean, like I guess, like I don't know, though
- 31:09Speaker 9: it just seems like one of those situations of like
- 31:11Speaker 9: it doesn't make sense, but it could make sense if
- 31:14Speaker 9: it's like the right person.
- 31:16Speaker 6: I'm just like, is he giving you any reason not
- 31:18Speaker 6: to trust him?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Like no, Okay, I feel like you need to go
- 31:22Speaker 2: on the date and then report back to.
- 31:24Speaker 6: Us because I'm listening to Daisy.
- 31:28Speaker 4: And just go for it. Okay.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna have like Lauren like message you to
- 31:32Speaker 2: make sure you went on the date after this. No,
- 31:36Speaker 2: I'm kidding.
- 31:37Speaker 4: I can give the recap, I would say, more so
- 31:39Speaker 4: in piece.
- 31:40Speaker 9: A question that I would have is just like if
- 31:42Speaker 9: you guys were in my position, and how long would
- 31:45Speaker 9: you kind of like if we kept going on dates,
- 31:47Speaker 9: like how long would you let things kind of go
- 31:49Speaker 9: until it was like all right, like kind of a
- 31:52Speaker 9: ticking time bomb of like I'm gonna go back.
- 31:54Speaker 4: To school and you're.
- 31:57Speaker 9: Gotta go do whatever, until it's like the question like
- 32:00Speaker 9: what are we doing?
- 32:01Speaker 4: What are we like?
- 32:02Speaker 2: Like, I think you need to go on like more
- 32:04Speaker 2: dates and like hang out more to figure it out
- 32:06Speaker 2: and then see if it like more becomes out of that,
- 32:10Speaker 2: and then like if you're leaving to go back to school,
- 32:12Speaker 2: like you guys can have that conversation or if it
- 32:15Speaker 2: pops up before that. But if it goes that long,
- 32:18Speaker 2: I mean it's June, when would you leave, probably like
- 32:20Speaker 2: August for school, Yeah, like mid August. I mean you
- 32:23Speaker 2: got like two months, so I feel like it keeps
- 32:26Speaker 2: going well, like why not?
- 32:27Speaker 5: And then you.
- 32:28Speaker 6: Come across as like a super transparent, open person, And
- 32:31Speaker 6: I think you would know real quick if he doesn't
- 32:33Speaker 6: respect what all the important like there are so many
- 32:36Speaker 6: things that are going on in your life, but there's
- 32:38Speaker 6: a good chance that he'll respect it, I mean, and
- 32:41Speaker 6: if he doesn't, then you know that's okay too, and
- 32:44Speaker 6: you just move on and you've got your perfect life, right, Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 5: I want a perfect life.
- 32:51Speaker 2: No, I'm excited for you. Okay. So plan is, go
- 32:54Speaker 2: on that date.
- 32:55Speaker 5: On the date, send us a message, let us know
- 32:57Speaker 5: how it goes.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Okay, I will do that, and then I'll refer back
- 33:00Speaker 9: to you guys, and if this or not by the
- 33:02Speaker 9: time I'm a senior perfect.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Well, thank you for coming on.
- 33:06Speaker 4: Thanks for talking guys. This is so fun.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Good talk to you.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Okay, you guys have a great one.
- 33:12Speaker 2: So bye. Okay, I'm gonna ask Jason a couple of questions. Jason,
- 33:17Speaker 2: how should girls bring up the what are we? Conversation?
- 33:20Speaker 2: Or should they they have to bring it up?
- 33:23Speaker 5: Like when I think about this what if thing?
- 33:25Speaker 6: And obviously I'm removed from this, but I talked to
- 33:27Speaker 6: my son about this all the time. The bigger picture
- 33:30Speaker 6: I'm hearing from all these girls is that they're scared
- 33:35Speaker 6: of what maybe the other person is thinking or feeling.
- 33:38Speaker 2: And like the one girl was saying, like the chill girl,
- 33:40Speaker 2: like whatever she was saying, like you want to be
- 33:43Speaker 2: like the chill girl. But I'm like, y'all, shouldn't prepare forever?
- 33:46Speaker 2: And wonder I like.
- 33:48Speaker 6: I think and I don't know if you have this
- 33:50Speaker 6: perspective after being out of college for a few years now,
- 33:52Speaker 6: it's like even going on the Bachelor or what's going
- 33:56Speaker 6: on with you in thor life. Short, the worst thing
- 33:59Speaker 6: that's to happen and all this stuff is a relationship
- 34:02Speaker 6: doesn't work out, like and we've all been there and
- 34:05Speaker 6: that's not that terrible.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I agree, Yeah, so I think they should
- 34:11Speaker 2: have the conversation too, Okay, And then next question, what
- 34:15Speaker 2: percent of sorority relationships do you think will survive the summer,
- 34:21Speaker 2: survive the.
- 34:22Speaker 5: Like keep on data.
- 34:23Speaker 6: I think a good percent survive the summer, but not
- 34:26Speaker 6: a big percent survive the next first quarter because you
- 34:29Speaker 6: get back into it and if you're really involved with
- 34:32Speaker 6: your sorority and if he's in a fraternity, all of
- 34:35Speaker 6: a sudden, you're back in this mix of like meeting
- 34:38Speaker 6: new people, busyness and all that kind of stuff. I mean,
- 34:42Speaker 6: it's like, what percent of relationships work out Anyways, we
- 34:44Speaker 6: talked about it, like maybe five percent and then maybe
- 34:48Speaker 6: twenty percent make it through the summer. It's probably a
- 34:51Speaker 6: small amount, but I don't like the same to the
- 34:55Speaker 6: last question, the worst thing that happens is it's over,
- 34:58Speaker 6: and then you will like and then you.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I think, like all my friends are like all throughout college.
- 35:04Speaker 2: I think, like the only we only have like one
- 35:07Speaker 2: couple of like the college friend group that's still together
- 35:09Speaker 2: and then me and thora obviously got back together, but
- 35:13Speaker 2: everyone else has like broken up and it is either.
- 35:16Speaker 6: That's still a good story, like you, guys, it doesn't
- 35:18Speaker 6: have to be the perfect like path like like I
- 35:21Speaker 6: have one friend from college that married his the like
- 35:25Speaker 6: same thing first weekend at an event. They met and
- 35:28Speaker 6: they got married. But that's such a small percentage, but
- 35:32Speaker 6: there's probably a percentage like you that date and then
- 35:35Speaker 6: get back.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Together and get back together farther down the road.
- 35:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, totally interesting.
- 35:41Speaker 2: This was like one of my episodes. Thank you for
- 35:43Speaker 2: doing it.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Yeah, another thing. I just hope people could get it.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Like I know how scary it is, and maybe it's
- 35:48Speaker 6: just like life experience or going through different stuff, But
- 35:53Speaker 6: I think if you open yourself up and try different things,
- 35:56Speaker 6: it's not going to be that bad. I mean, maybe
- 35:58Speaker 6: it hurts for a week or two weeks. Think these
- 36:01Speaker 6: girls could do it.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they got it, They got it. Well, thank you
- 36:07Speaker 2: for listening in and thank you Jason again for co
- 36:10Speaker 2: hosting with me. This was so fun. This is it
