Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five wist sports and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they go a whist.
- 0:10Speaker 2: So, yeah, it's too bad, But what did you expect.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles twenty.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I was the only one that had the sports.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Yeah, you were the only one.
- 0:21Speaker 2: You had the whistle in your mouth. I know, all right, Lego.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I made a lot of notes. We missed our Monday
- 0:27Speaker 2: usual show day because it was a holiday and I
- 0:30Speaker 2: just had some stuff I needed to talk about. So
- 0:32Speaker 2: you guys are good shoo, and let's talk about it.
- 0:35Speaker 4: This is all me.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Uh. Number one, The first note that I made is
- 0:38Speaker 2: Greg Olsen won the Sports Emmy over Tom Brady, and
- 0:41Speaker 2: Greg Olsen is the number two announcer. Tom Brady is
- 0:44Speaker 2: number one. Oh wow, kind of awkward on the same network. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 2: they bumped Olsen down to put Brady in the number one.
- 0:54Speaker 4: Do you think that's true? Like, do you like him better?
- 0:56Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's way better.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So is way better? Yeah?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Olsen's awesome. Yeah, and it's not even that I was
- 1:01Speaker 2: a Olsen fan when he played for the Carolina Panthers.
- 1:05Speaker 2: He's just better. But Brady's gotten pretty good. But yeah,
- 1:09Speaker 2: Greg Olsen Edges, Fox is number one Tom Brady for
- 1:12Speaker 2: best analysts for the Sports Emmy.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Dang, I'm not there yet with Brady. Like, I don't
- 1:18Speaker 3: like it. I don't like it when he calls games yet.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I probably will get there eventually, and he'll probably get
- 1:21Speaker 3: better the more he does it, But right now I
- 1:24Speaker 3: don't like it.
- 1:25Speaker 2: What I do like is that he's gotten a lot better.
- 1:27Speaker 2: And I think that makes me like it more because
- 1:30Speaker 2: when he started brutal, Yeah, okay, guy had sent his
- 1:34Speaker 2: whole life preparing for that, and you knew he was
- 1:36Speaker 2: gonna work and get better, and he did get a
- 1:37Speaker 2: lot better. Yeah, So I don't know if he's actually
- 1:39Speaker 2: good or if he's just gotten a lot better, And like,
- 1:41Speaker 2: I respect that, but yeah, Tom Brady number one chair
- 1:45Speaker 2: of Fox Sports NFL coverage. But the National Academy of Television,
- 1:48Speaker 2: Arts and Science believe that he is not superior in
- 1:51Speaker 2: the booth.
- 1:54Speaker 4: It's gotta fire him up a little bit.
- 1:56Speaker 2: It's awkward, and you know, some of those voters were
- 1:59Speaker 2: literal just doing it because they thought it would be
- 2:02Speaker 2: funny to vote for him over Tom Brady. Absolutely, do
- 2:05Speaker 2: you like Romo? Uh?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Yes? And I think like, yes, he makes bold predictions
- 2:13Speaker 3: right on every and he's still doing it, which is
- 2:15Speaker 3: crazy to me. As much as the game changes, like, dude,
- 2:18Speaker 3: you gotta at some point you're gonna stop doing it
- 2:21Speaker 3: because you're gonna you don't know the game the way
- 2:23Speaker 3: he used to when you used to play, Like, it's
- 2:24Speaker 3: changed so much. But so far, I still like Romo
- 2:28Speaker 3: and I enjoy hearing him on TV.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I guess I don't see him doing as many predictions
- 2:33Speaker 2: as he used to. I know when he came out,
- 2:34Speaker 2: he came out hot and he was nailing stuff and
- 2:36Speaker 2: that's why I went so viral. But now he's just
- 2:40Speaker 2: he's a lot, a lot, He's a lot, so I
- 2:43Speaker 2: don't see the predictions as much occasionally. But he said
- 2:48Speaker 2: it's just that dog like.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, But but Jim nance is so.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Chill, Jim Jill, what do you think, Joe.
- 2:56Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 2:57Speaker 2: That's what it feels like to me. I also, I
- 2:59Speaker 2: like him fine, but now that I know people don't
- 3:02Speaker 2: like him, I try to listen to see why people
- 3:04Speaker 2: don't like him, and all I hear is the ball
- 3:08Speaker 2: right yeah right.
- 3:10Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Sometimes, like you don't have to talk every
- 3:14Speaker 4: second of the game.
- 3:15Speaker 2: It's like you have to fill gabs. I'm not, And
- 3:20Speaker 2: I think Romo is better than Tom Brady, but because
- 3:24Speaker 2: tom Brady started from low, it feels better than where
- 3:29Speaker 2: they are because Romo started high, and I would say
- 3:32Speaker 2: regrets just a bit, and then people just don't like
- 3:35Speaker 2: his energy. It's just just a lot.
- 3:37Speaker 3: What do you guys think about Turiico doing basketball?
- 3:40Speaker 2: I don't mind Trico doing anything. Yeah, Turrico is wonderful
- 3:44Speaker 2: wherever he does it. I don't mind Trico doing all sports,
- 3:47Speaker 2: and I don't mind Herbstreet doing NFL.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I'm still getting used to that one a little bit,
- 3:53Speaker 3: just because the voice to me, it's like al Michael's right,
- 3:56Speaker 3: Like his voice to me screams Monday night football. Now
- 4:00Speaker 3: I think it's Prime Amazon yeah or Amazon Yeah, So
- 4:04Speaker 3: like it shifts a little bit. But like Tariko to
- 4:06Speaker 3: me is the sound of Turrico and Collinsworth on a
- 4:09Speaker 3: Sunday night.
- 4:11Speaker 2: But the Olympics too, he did those wonderfully. Yeah, I
- 4:13Speaker 2: just think Trinco anywhere works for me.
- 4:14Speaker 3: But again, like I'm watching basketball and I'm just like,
- 4:17Speaker 3: oh man, it still sounds so cool, like to hear
- 4:20Speaker 3: Tarico call a sport that he normally doesn't.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Is Marv Albert still live?
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:27Speaker 2: When I think of basketball announcers, announcers not fair. Uh
- 4:33Speaker 2: and what would you even call that?
- 4:35Speaker 3: I mean he's an announcer, right.
- 4:36Speaker 2: He's eighty four, But an announcer would be like now
- 4:40Speaker 2: shooting free throws? Yeah, like play by play guy.
- 4:44Speaker 3: His voice is so iconic basketball, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 3: his voice brought the excitement in the game.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Like he's the og for me. I'm sure there are
- 4:54Speaker 2: much more og ers if you're older and watch basketball
- 4:57Speaker 2: on networks, And Marv Albert was the.
- 4:58Speaker 3: First those your favorite fotball one.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I saw a meme It's like which one would you choose?
- 5:04Speaker 2: And the one I chose wis Chris Fawler. He's so
- 5:07Speaker 2: good college that only comes to mind because they posted
- 5:10Speaker 2: six pictures and it's like, which one would you choose?
- 5:12Speaker 2: And to me it was Fowler And there were a
- 5:14Speaker 2: bunch of good ones but foul. But that's college college. Yeah,
- 5:17Speaker 2: but I'd go Fowler. Overall. I enjoy, generally speaking, college
- 5:22Speaker 2: more than the NFL. But if I were to have
- 5:24Speaker 2: to pick an FL, it'd probably go to It'd probably
- 5:30Speaker 2: go to the Emmy Winner right there to Greg Grege
- 5:35Speaker 2: to me, Al Michaels, that sound just gets me excited
- 5:38Speaker 2: for football still, Man, I love it.
- 5:42Speaker 4: He's iconic, but I just feel like the last few
- 5:44Speaker 4: years he's just kind of like just coaching. He's like,
- 5:46Speaker 4: I'm cool, I'm just doing this fun now.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Dude. Do you remember when it was Al Michaels, Dan
- 5:50Speaker 3: Dierdorf and Frank Gifford.
- 5:53Speaker 2: They were like the Monday night football O.
- 5:55Speaker 3: That sound of them three talking brought so many memories
- 5:59Speaker 3: to me.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Do you remember when it was Rush Limbaugh in the
- 6:02Speaker 2: booth for a while. No, they tried him out as
- 6:04Speaker 2: one of the I believe he was like a color analyst,
- 6:08Speaker 2: no way. Yeah, And I think they did Dennis Miller
- 6:11Speaker 2: for a while.
- 6:12Speaker 3: I hope I'm not Dennis Miller. I do remember that,
- 6:15Speaker 3: but I.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Think they put Rush Limbaugh on the booth for a while,
- 6:18Speaker 2: if you don't mind fact checking that.
- 6:19Speaker 5: Yeah, in two thousand and three, he was on Sunday
- 6:21Speaker 5: NFL Countdown, Wow.
- 6:24Speaker 4: And color commentator from Running It Up Football in two
- 6:27Speaker 4: thousand so he was doing games.
- 6:30Speaker 3: That's crazy. What about baseball.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Interesting? Because baseball is so regional on team specific for
- 6:38Speaker 2: the most part, I still like Joe Buck Joe because
- 6:41Speaker 2: he does the national I like Joe Buck. That's another
- 6:45Speaker 2: guy that I can allow to do anything.
- 6:47Speaker 4: A lot of people don't like him.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I like him to do football.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I do too. I think he's really good.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I think people don't like Joe Buck because they don't
- 6:53Speaker 2: like Joe Buck. Because Joe Buck will also come out
- 6:55Speaker 2: and do like interviews and stuff. I think he's great.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I love him in interviews. I think that's just a
- 7:00Speaker 2: Joe Buck thing.
- 7:00Speaker 3: It seems like Joe Buck loves Joe Buck, so that
- 7:03Speaker 3: to me is always kind of like, all right, Joe.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Buck loves Joe Buck. I don't think you do that
- 7:08Speaker 2: job though, if you don't love you.
- 7:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, good point.
- 7:11Speaker 2: And also to me, he's so associated with the Cardinals
- 7:14Speaker 2: because of his dad, because the dad was the Cardinals
- 7:16Speaker 2: guy forever, that that is a half strike against him.
- 7:22Speaker 2: But then I realized I'm not twelve, and that because
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm a Cubs fan doesn't mean I don't like a
- 7:27Speaker 2: Cardinals announcer.
- 7:28Speaker 4: Like thirty years ago. That mattered.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I have to remind myself sometimes I'm not twelve
- 7:32Speaker 2: years old. Uh So, yeah, I thought that was a
- 7:35Speaker 2: funny story to lead with. Uh. Second up, there was
- 7:38Speaker 2: a story of uh to tease Junior? Have you guys
- 7:41Speaker 2: seen the two percent? Okay? So I believe it was
- 7:47Speaker 2: probably ten years or so ago. He went into business
- 7:54Speaker 2: with one of those companies and they gave him two
- 7:56Speaker 2: million dollars for two percent of his future earnings. Now
- 8:01Speaker 2: he was not a major league player. He was on
- 8:03Speaker 2: the fast track. But who knows how every prospect will
- 8:09Speaker 2: do a lot of great prospects play for a minute,
- 8:11Speaker 2: some don't even play.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Do you know for how long? That deal was like
- 8:14Speaker 3: two percent of your Yeah, for an ins for how
- 8:16Speaker 3: long your career? For the whole career?
- 8:18Speaker 2: Yeah. So Fernando Tatis Junior owes the investment company. And
- 8:25Speaker 2: the reason this is the story is because they just
- 8:27Speaker 2: went to court because he's like, I don't have to
- 8:29Speaker 2: pay them all this money, and he said, you give
- 8:33Speaker 2: me two million dollars. It's ten percent, not two percent.
- 8:36Speaker 2: So my two is two million. That's where I got
- 8:38Speaker 2: to mixed up. When he was an eighteen year old
- 8:41Speaker 2: minor leaguer to teach receive the lump some payment of
- 8:44Speaker 2: two million dollars from the BLA, which is that company,
- 8:46Speaker 2: the Big League Advance ROH. In exchange, he agreed to
- 8:50Speaker 2: forfeit ten percent of his future Major League Baseball earnings.
- 8:56Speaker 2: So four years later, in twenty twenty one, he signed
- 8:58Speaker 2: a fourteen year, three hundred and forty million dollar contract
- 9:01Speaker 2: with the padres. His payment to them is tens of
- 9:05Speaker 2: millions of dollars.
- 9:06Speaker 3: To them, that's the greatest deal ever.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Now, I'm sure they give people money and they don't
- 9:11Speaker 2: get that money, get nothing. Yeah, to Tease stopped making
- 9:14Speaker 2: payments in twenty twenty four and sued the firm to
- 9:16Speaker 2: avoid the deal, claiming it was predatory and fraudulent. They
- 9:20Speaker 2: countersued and they just won.
- 9:21Speaker 3: Yeah, that's their business. And what's the name of their company.
- 9:25Speaker 3: It's called like it explains in the name.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah, BLA Big League Advance.
- 9:29Speaker 3: They're advancing you cash.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And he has said too prior to this that that
- 9:34Speaker 2: two million dollars allowed him to get a trainer, to
- 9:37Speaker 2: eat better, to do a lot of the things that
- 9:40Speaker 2: he actually needed the money for. It wasn't to buy
- 9:42Speaker 2: a PlayStation and close like two million dollars is significant.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So the ruling was because it went to arbitration and
- 9:52Speaker 2: to Tease one arbitration. But then it went to court
- 9:55Speaker 2: and the superior court judge says, we're vacating the arbitrators
- 9:58Speaker 2: award and so to Tease has to pay three point
- 10:01Speaker 2: seven four million back from what he owes them already,
- 10:04Speaker 2: and then ten percent moving forward every single year.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Dang, So just doing the if his.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Contract is three hundred and forty million dollars, ten percent
- 10:11Speaker 2: of that's thirty four million dollars, and you give them
- 10:14Speaker 2: and it's pre tax, it's pre tax, so it's thirty
- 10:17Speaker 2: four million dollars.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Wow, So you're right. So if this company does this
- 10:21Speaker 3: to say one hundred ball players, yeah, right, And even
- 10:25Speaker 3: like if you have twenty ballplayers that did nothing, you
- 10:29Speaker 3: have a tatisse in there that now covers all that
- 10:33Speaker 3: money you gave to everyone else.
- 10:35Speaker 2: There are websites you can go and invest in ball
- 10:38Speaker 2: players like minor leaguers and give two hundred bucks. It's
- 10:41Speaker 2: almost like that's tough. It's almost like the crowdfunding. You
- 10:47Speaker 2: can basically crowdfund a ballplayer and if they make it,
- 10:51Speaker 2: you have a part of their the money they.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Make for no way, Well, I didn't know that.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It's popped up in my Instagram for me to pay you. No,
- 11:00Speaker 2: but I've gotten really close a couple of times.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I'm like, cool, this sounds so up your alley.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I've gotten really close a couple of times and
- 11:06Speaker 2: just didn't commit to it.
- 11:07Speaker 3: The thing is, I wouldn't even know where to start,
- 11:10Speaker 3: like with a player, right, like a minor leaguer, Like
- 11:14Speaker 3: you're not.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Yeah, that's where do you even start? So many of
- 11:17Speaker 4: them you have to know the game or do your
- 11:19Speaker 4: research like crazy.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Well, the ones that want the money are the ones
- 11:23Speaker 2: that they show you, so they vetted out all the
- 11:26Speaker 2: things about them. It's not open market to go and
- 11:29Speaker 2: approach a player and be like, I like to give
- 11:30Speaker 2: you a thousand dollars Like this company, Yeah, it's somebody
- 11:33Speaker 2: going I want this money in this company going, he
- 11:35Speaker 2: needs as much money. If you give this much money,
- 11:37Speaker 2: you can get a B or C.
- 11:39Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 11:39Speaker 2: See if you can find one of those sites. But
- 11:43Speaker 2: I thought that to Teas story was so cool.
- 11:45Speaker 3: That I didn't even know a company like that existed.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I only knew because of those websites, and then I
- 11:51Speaker 2: just investigated a little bit more. But I think that
- 11:56Speaker 2: La Dela Cruz took money from them as well.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Wow, and I under staying, I understand how they feel like.
- 12:02Speaker 3: It feels like, man, that's not fair, like that was
- 12:04Speaker 3: so long ago. I was so young. I needed two million.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I could easily give you two million plus five and
- 12:11Speaker 3: not the thirty like you said. But I mean, that's
- 12:13Speaker 3: not the business man.
- 12:14Speaker 2: That's Dela Cruz is going to get have to give
- 12:17Speaker 2: ten percent of his ten is a big number, that's
- 12:22Speaker 2: according to this story here. And he's awesome ten percent
- 12:26Speaker 2: four Oh, yeah, he's awesome. Similar to Fernando Tis Junior.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Delacruz Onney contract are going to give up ten percent
- 12:32Speaker 2: of his lifetime MLB salary earnings to BLA in exchange
- 12:35Speaker 2: for an upfront cash advance. He originally signed with the
- 12:38Speaker 2: Reds for a sixty five thousand dollars modest signing bonus.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Did it say how much they give? It doesn't.
- 12:45Speaker 2: And I kept looking for it because right now Dela
- 12:49Speaker 2: Cruz does not have a massive deal. It doesn't look
- 12:51Speaker 2: like but he will.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Sign will Yeah, it's coming. Yeah, it looks like just
- 12:56Speaker 4: the MLB supports it too. The crowdfund that is, like
- 13:01Speaker 4: they promoted and they make help these kids out and
- 13:02Speaker 4: you can go in the site, and there's literally like
- 13:04Speaker 4: just kids in New York, Kentucky, Oklahoma, like help me
- 13:08Speaker 4: reach my dreams and you can contribute.
- 13:10Speaker 2: What are the lowest amounts you can contribute?
- 13:13Speaker 3: Let's see good? Good question?
- 13:15Speaker 4: Are you gonna buy some players fifty dollars?
- 13:18Speaker 2: I've again, I have flirted with doing it and being
- 13:21Speaker 2: a bit on the show and then following them.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Dude, if I told my wife, hey, hear me out.
- 13:26Speaker 2: We invested in Chris Gainsworth third basement for the Tupelo
- 13:31Speaker 2: Honey Rangers.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Be like, who We're going to Tupeloh?
- 13:34Speaker 5: Like you just buy shares?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:36Speaker 5: At a dollar twenty five a share?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Is there a minimum one share?
- 13:41Speaker 3: Which is how much you said?
- 13:42Speaker 5: I mean, it's different for different people, but that what
- 13:44Speaker 5: I'm looking at right now is one twenty five.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Per share a dollar twenty five dollars twenty five. So
- 13:48Speaker 2: you can buy one share of this player for dollar
- 13:49Speaker 2: twenty five and.
- 13:50Speaker 3: Then you go to the games. I own you. You
- 13:52Speaker 3: don't say that, don't strike out.
- 13:54Speaker 2: You saw I own you throw Chris Gainesworth.
- 14:00Speaker 4: I'm gonna trade you.
- 14:02Speaker 5: It says if they signed an MLB contract, you earn
- 14:04Speaker 5: a fixed percentage of their salary.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Dude, that's so cool.
- 14:09Speaker 3: That is so cool.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Do you guys watch any of the clips of the
- 14:12Speaker 2: enhanced games?
- 14:14Speaker 4: No, no, I only saw pictures, no clips, though.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Now I didn't watch it. I don't know if they
- 14:19Speaker 2: showed it on a network, So I'm not gonna act
- 14:20Speaker 2: like I was watching all of these steroid Olympics, is
- 14:23Speaker 2: what they were calling them, because you could use whatever
- 14:25Speaker 2: you want. It's crazy steroids any sort of performance, Anthony
- 14:29Speaker 2: diruxesosterone can you do like coke? I think you could
- 14:33Speaker 2: do anything. They don't drug test.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Wow, look they're on cocaine, just like adderalled up.
- 14:41Speaker 2: You watched them. Nobody really set records from what I saw,
- 14:45Speaker 2: nobody really.
- 14:45Speaker 3: No.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I saw the guy from Game of Thrones, the Mountain
- 14:49Speaker 2: was his name, I believe, trying to set the world
- 14:52Speaker 2: record for deadlift. He did not get it. The person
- 14:54Speaker 2: who won the swimming was a non enhanced athlete.
- 14:58Speaker 3: No way, So.
- 15:02Speaker 2: You may google. I didn't see all the way through,
- 15:04Speaker 2: but I did not see anybody break any world records,
- 15:06Speaker 2: because if they did, I think they got a million dollars.
- 15:08Speaker 2: If you win whatever the sport is, you got two
- 15:11Speaker 2: hundred and fifty thousand and if you broke a world record,
- 15:14Speaker 2: you got a million. From what I saw, at a point,
- 15:18Speaker 2: nobody had broken any world records.
- 15:20Speaker 4: This title on this article says one record broken. I'm
- 15:23Speaker 4: trying to find it though.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Was it a running record from like nineteen fifty six
- 15:26Speaker 2: or some weird thing?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Oh that long ago?
- 15:30Speaker 2: It was not really that entertaining.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Could you since they weren't testing, could you say that
- 15:36Speaker 3: you were a non enhancer?
- 15:38Speaker 2: I think really no, I think they were testing. But
- 15:40Speaker 2: your your negative or positive didn't OFFENCD matter, because that's interesting.
- 15:45Speaker 3: He just lie, like you'll say, I'm not an answer.
- 15:47Speaker 2: One of the dudes was so a swimmer was so jacked.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Really he didn't win.
- 15:53Speaker 4: That's what the record was. Fifty meter freestyle.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And that's fifty meters, just one trick, one las. Yeah.
- 16:00Speaker 4: A Greek swimmer, Christian Gola meve.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Was he enhanced? Yes, he was.
- 16:05Speaker 3: I would think that those are the ones, like a
- 16:08Speaker 3: big burst of energy whatever, Like competition is a quick
- 16:11Speaker 3: burst you could probably dominate if you're enhanced.
- 16:16Speaker 2: When I had seen it, there were none. And if
- 16:18Speaker 2: there's only one, that also shows you that the most
- 16:21Speaker 2: elite aren't doing this anyway, right, And that you can
- 16:24Speaker 2: enhance all you want. If you're not already at a
- 16:26Speaker 2: level of elite, that enhancement is not going to get
- 16:30Speaker 2: you to a higher You can't be a six out
- 16:32Speaker 2: of ten, do a bunch of freaking drugs and be
- 16:34Speaker 2: a nine out of ten. Yeah, you may get to
- 16:36Speaker 2: a seven point five, but you ain't. You ain't gonna
- 16:39Speaker 2: be a ten nine point five. But that I didn't see.
- 16:43Speaker 2: The swimming thing was broken. But yeah, just one though,
- 16:45Speaker 2: But that feels like in that one lab he could
- 16:47Speaker 2: almost jump the whole way since you don't have to
- 16:50Speaker 2: turn around. You just jump really far. Your dives like halfway,
- 16:53Speaker 2: then you go.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Apparently he use pds and also like a suit that's
- 16:57Speaker 5: banned a body suit.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Oh bro, you need all that.
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's fins on, Like you're just using everything illegal. You
- 17:03Speaker 2: beat the record by point seven seconds, well barely. You
- 17:07Speaker 2: got a propeller on your back. It's just how do
- 17:09Speaker 2: you cheat?
- 17:09Speaker 4: Cheat?
- 17:14Speaker 3: That's funny.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I did not find that to be wildly entertaining. I
- 17:18Speaker 2: did watch Johnny Manziel and Bob Menory.
- 17:20Speaker 3: Yeah fight, they look like it looked like a street fight.
- 17:24Speaker 2: It also looked like if me and you took our
- 17:26Speaker 2: shirts off and got into it because I don't know
- 17:29Speaker 2: Bob Menry except for Raymond being like he does all
- 17:32Speaker 2: the funny.
- 17:33Speaker 3: Videos he loves both of those.
- 17:34Speaker 2: He like overdubs sports videos, but with really outrageous, absurd
- 17:38Speaker 2: things with his voice. And so that's the only reason
- 17:40Speaker 2: I know Bob Menry. I don't know what else he does,
- 17:42Speaker 2: and I don't say that disrespectfully. That's just how I
- 17:45Speaker 2: know him, and I wouldn't know his face. I do
- 17:47Speaker 2: know Johnny Manziel for many things Texas A and m
- 17:51Speaker 2: NFL flaming out, staying flamed out, documentary, documentary, then flaming
- 17:57Speaker 2: out again, not making game day. So I guess I
- 18:00Speaker 2: expected Manziel to look in a little better shape since
- 18:02Speaker 2: he was an NFL player and they have their shirts
- 18:05Speaker 2: off and you're like, oh, that's Eddie and I just
- 18:06Speaker 2: getting at it.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, just kind of just chilled for a few years.
- 18:10Speaker 2: The thing about Manziel, though, he's still an elite athlete,
- 18:14Speaker 2: even if he's fat, he's sill an elite athlete, and
- 18:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't say he's fat. He definitely was soft, but
- 18:19Speaker 2: he's so unless you're like Bob Minry and you're like,
- 18:21Speaker 2: for real trained and you're a great athlete, Johnny man
- 18:27Speaker 2: Jill such a natural athlete. You don't make it to
- 18:28Speaker 2: the NFL without some sort of natural ability. So he
- 18:32Speaker 2: basically kicked him a bunch of times and then pounded
- 18:34Speaker 2: his head.
- 18:34Speaker 3: Yeah, because it was Mma, right, Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 4: Yeah, Menory looked like he was he was on something
- 18:39Speaker 4: for sure.
- 18:40Speaker 2: He was moving around and I think I saw Dana
- 18:43Speaker 2: White say that he saw Menory at the casino like
- 18:45Speaker 2: four am the night before training.
- 18:48Speaker 3: It's part of the training.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Did you see his face? Oh? Yeah, after afterwards, it
- 18:51Speaker 2: looked like he had like been like he had hit
- 18:53Speaker 2: the steering wheel and a car wreck because at the
- 18:56Speaker 2: top of his forehead and his eyes were completely like raw.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that was.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Entertaining to me because it was so bad. But also
- 19:04Speaker 2: you're looking at a professional athlete, and then I'm sure
- 19:07Speaker 2: Manory was a good athlete. I'm not sure what his
- 19:10Speaker 2: background is, but he had to be to accept that fight.
- 19:13Speaker 2: You think you're going to beat a former NFL quarterback
- 19:14Speaker 2: at something athletic.
- 19:16Speaker 4: And they're good friends.
- 19:16Speaker 3: Are they buddies? Yeah?
- 19:17Speaker 4: They did a podcast together already after the fight, like
- 19:19Speaker 4: their friends.
- 19:21Speaker 2: I did see the afterward, Menory was like, I'm sorry,
- 19:24Speaker 2: I'm I really let you guys, like he was sad
- 19:26Speaker 2: that he lost, and he was doing a post after it.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Ray J was in a fight. Now, ray J a
- 19:31Speaker 2: a couple of things. He had a music career, mostly
- 19:34Speaker 2: sex tape with Kim Kardashian. It was the original. He
- 19:37Speaker 2: had music before that, but he wasn't like a massive
- 19:39Speaker 2: star or anything. And he got knocked out and had
- 19:42Speaker 2: to go to the hospital. Like last I heard, he
- 19:44Speaker 2: was in the hospital.
- 19:45Speaker 3: The street fight.
- 19:45Speaker 2: No, same same, same same car.
- 19:48Speaker 4: It was on the same car, yeah, because they had
- 19:49Speaker 4: like land Stevenson and this car.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Where did they show this on the internet.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 19:56Speaker 3: That's why I was. It wasn't like on a streaming
- 19:57Speaker 3: service or anything.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Right, No, I don't think so, because I saw the
- 20:01Speaker 2: whole fights posted as clips. Because the Manzell fight was
- 20:04Speaker 2: one round, so it wasn't even like I was dialed
- 20:07Speaker 2: in watching it live. But I did watch the whole
- 20:09Speaker 2: fight because the whole first round was just put up
- 20:11Speaker 2: as on Instagram. Yeah, but yeah, ray J was knocked
- 20:15Speaker 2: out in the last I saw. He was in the hospital. Still.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it says that this was yesterday. He was in
- 20:23Speaker 4: the hospital as of yesterday too, concussion and experiencing issues
- 20:27Speaker 4: with heart beating slower.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh, did ed he tell you who we saw in
- 20:34Speaker 2: New York yesterday?
- 20:34Speaker 3: I have not told him.
- 20:35Speaker 2: No, So I was in.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Can I show him the picture and he can guess?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, let me set it up.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I had four interviews I was doing in New York. Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 2: so we'd schedule them at the same time. And so
- 20:48Speaker 2: I was interviewing Keenan Thompson from SNL My Childhood.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Yeah, that was awesome.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I was interviewing Neve from Catfish The Cridit Catfish you
- 20:58Speaker 2: did the original documentary Who he Was Catfish than ten
- 21:00Speaker 2: years of that show. There's somebody named miss dal Jones
- 21:04Speaker 2: who's massive online about money, and I talked to her
- 21:06Speaker 2: about that, and then Gary Vee okay you know Gary
- 21:08Speaker 2: v is yep. Okay, So doing those four interviews, and
- 21:11Speaker 2: so we were going up and I was already in
- 21:13Speaker 2: and Eddie goes, hey, that's what I was all down there.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Here's a picture.
- 21:17Speaker 3: This is This is from behind because we didn't want
- 21:19Speaker 3: to we didn't want to be obvious.
- 21:22Speaker 4: Look at it.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I look at it like, who comes to mind immediately.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Immediately, Yeah, Dwight Howard.
- 21:32Speaker 2: That's what they said. It was, really no, they said
- 21:34Speaker 2: Dwight Howard was like smoking with a homeless guy down
- 21:37Speaker 2: at the bottom of the building.
- 21:39Speaker 3: So literally on the streets of New York. He's sitting
- 21:42Speaker 3: there with a homeless dude, talking to the homeless guy.
- 21:45Speaker 3: They're in the middle of conversation. He has a joint
- 21:48Speaker 3: in his hand. You see it in the picture.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, you're right, seemingly a joint.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I smelt it, allegedly, Yeah, And both Brandon and I
- 21:58Speaker 3: look at each other and go, there's no way, what
- 22:01Speaker 3: was that bright? Was that Dwhite Howard? So both of
- 22:04Speaker 3: us thought it was Dwight Howard. We tried to compare
- 22:07Speaker 3: the tattoos on his shoulder. Yeah, but we don't. But
- 22:11Speaker 3: that's the only.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Picture we have, so they don't know for sure if
- 22:14Speaker 2: it was Dwight Howard. I went to Dwhite Howard's Instagram
- 22:17Speaker 2: and I found a video of him at the beach
- 22:20Speaker 2: and he has this tattoo on the same shoulder that's
- 22:23Speaker 2: kind of triangular at the top, and that.
- 22:25Speaker 4: One is too, yeah, yeah, on the shoulder. Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 2: So they think they saw Dwight Howard smoking. We with
- 22:32Speaker 2: a homeless guy on a bench in New York City.
- 22:34Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 22:35Speaker 3: And Kevin looking at the picture where it's just taken
- 22:38Speaker 3: from behind this person, you thought it was Dwight Howard.
- 22:42Speaker 4: I mean because he has like this long square shoulders,
- 22:46Speaker 4: long arms, long legs body type, and that looks just
- 22:49Speaker 4: like even sitting down, looks just like them from behind.
- 22:52Speaker 5: What color shirt is he wearing in that black? Is
- 22:55Speaker 5: he wearing a gold chain?
- 22:56Speaker 2: Well, it's from behind.
- 22:57Speaker 4: You see it on the back of mound chains on
- 23:00Speaker 4: a video he posted yesterday in New York.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Oh, tell like, I haven't seen the photo, you said,
- 23:06Speaker 5: but he's wearing a black cutoff and chains.
- 23:09Speaker 2: That's it.
- 23:10Speaker 4: That's a cutoff.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I didn't see the backpack.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Show it to Mike. That's if he's in New York though,
- 23:15Speaker 2: that's it.
- 23:17Speaker 3: And you know, like when you see someone famous and
- 23:20Speaker 3: you do the double take because you're like, wait a second,
- 23:23Speaker 3: I know that person.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Yeah, same change, same shirt.
- 23:28Speaker 2: They saw Dwight Howard smoking, We were the homeless guy
- 23:30Speaker 2: in New York.
- 23:31Speaker 3: But dude and and the homeless part, it was like
- 23:33Speaker 3: it was almost like they just were just in a
- 23:36Speaker 3: good conversation together. Like it wasn't like the homeless person
- 23:39Speaker 3: stopped him. It was like they're both just sitting there
- 23:41Speaker 3: talking about something and they're both entertaining each other. Very interesting.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Are you sure as a homeless guy.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I'm not one hundred percent sure, but it seemed like
- 23:51Speaker 3: it was a homeless person.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Could have just been somebody from a band, could have
- 23:56Speaker 2: been Okay, well that was Dwight Howard.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Wow, wow, Wow, that's a amazing awesome.
- 24:01Speaker 2: That's pretty crazy.
- 24:02Speaker 3: And then what did Keenan say when you asked him?
- 24:06Speaker 3: It's New York.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's I guess probably.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Oh, no, big deal.
- 24:09Speaker 3: All good.
- 24:09Speaker 4: We see them all the time.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yeah probably, yeah. Oh how about that?
- 24:13Speaker 3: Wow, my good job.
- 24:17Speaker 2: This last weekend I went to the Arkansas Super Regional
- 24:21Speaker 2: and softball and they are playing this week in the
- 24:23Speaker 2: College World Series, which is very cool because they've never
- 24:25Speaker 2: been in the history of the program. But we're there
- 24:27Speaker 2: for the Super Regional and it is jam packed. There's
- 24:30Speaker 2: three thousand people in this softball stadium. It's probably the
- 24:34Speaker 2: and Arkansas was top three in attendance on all Division
- 24:37Speaker 2: one softball this year. Already the only two schools that
- 24:41Speaker 2: had better attendance was Oklahoma, which they have the sickest
- 24:44Speaker 2: stadium ever, brand new, it's built. Loves bought it. They're
- 24:46Speaker 2: an Oklahoma company. Also, Patty Gassells won eight national championships.
- 24:49Speaker 2: Their stadium is so it's two and a half times
- 24:54Speaker 2: the next it's that elite Wow. Alabama and then Arkansas
- 24:58Speaker 2: and Alabama. Arkansas prettylose in attending, but it was the
- 25:01Speaker 2: most packed I've ever seen. And it was game two.
- 25:04Speaker 2: So Arkansas was playing Duke two out of three. They
- 25:07Speaker 2: won the first game. They were now playing the second game,
- 25:10Speaker 2: and if they win that, they win the Super Regional
- 25:12Speaker 2: go to the World Series for the first time ever.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So they end up winning, and it's crazy and everybody's like,
- 25:18Speaker 2: oh my god, I'm Pump, it's my brother in law.
- 25:20Speaker 2: It's also my team. Fireworks are going off, and I've
- 25:24Speaker 2: passes to get wherever. I have a family pass. It's
- 25:28Speaker 2: not even that they're like, oh, Bobby Bones, I just
- 25:29Speaker 2: have a Gaso pass. I have DJ's daughter, Glory Gasso
- 25:34Speaker 2: my past. I just go. She's one and a half.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So I just go wherever, and so they know me
- 25:39Speaker 2: there too. So I walk down as soon as the
- 25:41Speaker 2: game is over, and I'm gonna go on the field
- 25:43Speaker 2: with everybody. And we had done that at Utah as well,
- 25:45Speaker 2: when DJ led that team to their first ever College
- 25:48Speaker 2: World Series appearance. And so we're on the field and
- 25:53Speaker 2: taking pictures, celebrating whatever, and I walked back up for
- 25:55Speaker 2: a little bit because Caitlyn had the baby and she
- 25:57Speaker 2: wasn't gonna go down right in the middle of the
- 25:59Speaker 2: hysteria on the field, and on the field they were
- 26:01Speaker 2: only letting the team people that had passes and some media.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So I walk back up to get Caitlin because Kitlyn
- 26:08Speaker 2: has a pass. Two, We're gonna go down and I'll
- 26:09Speaker 2: take pictures which a're on my Instagram. And I see
- 26:13Speaker 2: an older lady, she's probably seventy five or so. She's
- 26:16Speaker 2: wearing a yellowjacket and she's basically having to be the
- 26:19Speaker 2: bouncer or the security. Yeah, like the what would you
- 26:26Speaker 2: call that position?
- 26:27Speaker 3: Usher?
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah, good one. She's basically the usher and she has
- 26:30Speaker 2: to tell people to know you can't go, yes, you
- 26:33Speaker 2: can go, she's yeah, yeah, And so she's doing a
- 26:38Speaker 2: good job and she's like, you can't go, no, no, no.
- 26:41Speaker 2: And there's one player on the Arkansas team she didn't
- 26:46Speaker 2: know this was happening. Her parents were let on the field,
- 26:49Speaker 2: and her parents had some friends in the outfield, and
- 26:51Speaker 2: her parents told those other people that you should come
- 26:52Speaker 2: down here. Come on, well, there's friends of the parents
- 26:56Speaker 2: just can't go on the field. And so I'm back
- 26:58Speaker 2: up here with baby and getting Kitlyne to go, and
- 27:00Speaker 2: I see these four people walk up to the usher
- 27:03Speaker 2: and go, hey, we're supposed to go down there. The
- 27:05Speaker 2: parent of the players that we can come down there,
- 27:07Speaker 2: and she said, I can't let you guys go down there.
- 27:10Speaker 2: You don't have a pass. You're also not a parent.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Everybody could say they were called down I can't and
- 27:15Speaker 2: the woman goes, f you. Whoa, it was crazy. She
- 27:19Speaker 2: goes f you. The parent told us to come down,
- 27:22Speaker 2: and the poor old lady goes, I cannot let you
- 27:25Speaker 2: down there, and the woman flips her off right in
- 27:28Speaker 2: her face and then walks off. Now right when she
- 27:31Speaker 2: said f you, my antennas went up a little bit.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I might, I might get bob menrried, but I'm not
- 27:36Speaker 2: gonna let them treat this old lady like this.
- 27:40Speaker 3: Who said that that was a man or a.
- 27:42Speaker 2: Woman a woman? And so I'm like slowly walking that
- 27:47Speaker 2: direction because that the lady can handle she's older, but
- 27:50Speaker 2: she can handle herself. The one flips her off right
- 27:52Speaker 2: in her face, and so I'm walking over to her
- 27:54Speaker 2: now and luckily they turn around and walk off, and
- 27:56Speaker 2: she goes a few and flips her off again. Damn.
- 27:58Speaker 2: And I just looked to the usher and I was like,
- 28:00Speaker 2: I'm really sorry, you have to deal with that, and
- 28:04Speaker 2: she's like, yeah, it could get a little harry sometimes.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I just thought, who would.
- 28:07Speaker 3: Do that, Like, who has the guts to do.
- 28:11Speaker 2: I don't know. But the people with her aren't stopping her.
- 28:14Speaker 2: It was like her dude that she's with in another couple,
- 28:19Speaker 2: but this woman's doing her job. And also, you're not
- 28:21Speaker 2: even the parents of the kid out there. You're like
- 28:23Speaker 2: friends of the parents. You don't have the right just
- 28:25Speaker 2: because of like have some common sense. They treated her
- 28:29Speaker 2: so bad. I thought for a second time, I get
- 28:31Speaker 2: beat up, very split because I was for there are
- 28:34Speaker 2: two big dudes. And then I just went over and
- 28:36Speaker 2: I was like, I'm really sorry, I have to deal
- 28:37Speaker 2: with this. She's like, it happens, and so that old
- 28:39Speaker 2: lady you're never going to hear this, but shout out
- 28:41Speaker 2: to you okay. She was like, you're not going. I
- 28:44Speaker 2: can't let you go. Those are the rules. She wasn't
- 28:45Speaker 2: even mean about it. And that lady who by forty
- 28:48Speaker 2: years younger and there put her middle finger right in
- 28:49Speaker 2: the old lady's face. Who does that? I don't know
- 28:53Speaker 2: that person. I don't know anybody in my life that
- 28:55Speaker 2: would react that way to that situation. I can understand
- 28:58Speaker 2: getting irritated, like no, she said, I could come to oh,
- 29:00Speaker 2: come on please, no, okay, but the middle finger somebody.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Yeah, And it's not like she was being I don't know,
- 29:08Speaker 4: confrontational towards her in the first.
- 29:09Speaker 2: None right, none. I'm talking about totally was trying to
- 29:15Speaker 2: take the situation and turn the volume down.
- 29:19Speaker 3: And the way she reacted with just like yeah, you
- 29:21Speaker 3: know it gets like that sometimes. It means it probably
- 29:24Speaker 3: happens all the time.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Yeah, and that sucks because that's such a fun thing
- 29:28Speaker 4: to celebrate. And then yeah, you got people like that.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm almost got beat.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Up, hey man, But it would have been for a
- 29:36Speaker 3: good cause.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I literally would have jumped in because I was getting
- 29:39Speaker 2: close and I was like, my baby's gonna watch me
- 29:41Speaker 2: get beat up for the first time.
- 29:44Speaker 3: She's younger.
- 29:45Speaker 2: What I was thinking, it's the only enough she won't
- 29:47Speaker 2: remember it.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Have you seen the TikTok videos of the guy that
- 29:49Speaker 3: goes up to people and calls them at efforts just
- 29:53Speaker 3: normal people that goes to the story like hey, I'm
- 29:55Speaker 3: ephor like, will you help me with the He doesn't.
- 29:58Speaker 2: It's not aggressive, and the.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Guys are like, what you call me? Oh yeah, I'm
- 30:03Speaker 3: just looking where this is m effort, Like I just
- 30:05Speaker 3: need a couple of these, and they're just like, don't
- 30:07Speaker 3: don't say that to me. Not yet.
- 30:09Speaker 2: There's one guy that walks from behind people and like
- 30:11Speaker 2: slams them on the shoulder.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Oh oh, I've seen that. Yeah, that has to.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Be set up because he does it to big dudes
- 30:18Speaker 2: and just keeps walking. And they're like, what the that
- 30:21Speaker 2: has to be set up because these dudes and he's
- 30:23Speaker 2: doing that too, they would.
- 30:24Speaker 3: Kill him, yes, and like it's not that's not worth it.
- 30:28Speaker 4: No, No, people are.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Yeah, Eddie, your spurs lost last night.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Dude. Look, I am not one of these people that say.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oh, you're doing refs. Oh God, here we go doing refs.
- 30:43Speaker 4: I didn't even know you watched so much basketball. Another ref?
- 30:46Speaker 3: No, it's just look like the calls are bad. Right,
- 30:49Speaker 3: everybody can agree that some of those calls were really bad.
- 30:52Speaker 3: The the goaltending call is terrible. The review call, like
- 30:57Speaker 3: you knew that were about to be under review, Like,
- 30:59Speaker 3: don't start the game. You know that the Spurs head
- 31:01Speaker 3: coach is about to review this because it was whatever.
- 31:04Speaker 3: There were about a handful of bad calls and then
- 31:08Speaker 3: but this is on the Spurs. I don't understand the
- 31:10Speaker 3: Spurs know, the coaches know that when Wimby is in
- 31:14Speaker 3: the paint, they're a success. Like this is how you
- 31:17Speaker 3: win games. It is how you won a lot of
- 31:19Speaker 3: the games in the season. Wimby in the paint, scoring
- 31:23Speaker 3: on everyone, getting every rebound, and they don't they keep
- 31:27Speaker 3: them in the perimeter. And I feel like, is are
- 31:30Speaker 3: they just hope it? They just want a game seven?
- 31:33Speaker 3: Like this all this is just to get a game
- 31:35Speaker 3: seven because now the East is already we've already figured
- 31:38Speaker 3: out the Knicks are playing. They're not playing anymore, so
- 31:41Speaker 3: now they need more basketball the NBA somebody.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I think, well, strategically, I know why they have Wemby
- 31:50Speaker 2: outside is to get like Hartenstein or whomever outside as
- 31:53Speaker 2: well on him so they can open up the lane
- 31:56Speaker 2: for whomever, Fox, Harper, et cetera up the middle. Sure,
- 32:00Speaker 2: so it does create those lanes.
- 32:03Speaker 3: And I try that for ten minutes, try it for
- 32:07Speaker 3: fifteen minutes. But after you see that it's not working
- 32:10Speaker 3: and it's a ten point game and we're still in it,
- 32:12Speaker 3: change it up.
- 32:13Speaker 2: So you are out coaching the coaches, is what I'm hearing.
- 32:16Speaker 3: No, I know that the coaches know this, they have
- 32:20Speaker 3: to know this, But why aren't they doing it?
- 32:23Speaker 2: So you know more than the coaches?
- 32:25Speaker 3: Oh?
- 32:25Speaker 2: I feel that's what you're saying, though I'm not.
- 32:28Speaker 3: I'm saying that somebody wants to.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Want to you to hear yourself. I just want you
- 32:30Speaker 2: to hear yourself.
- 32:31Speaker 3: I'm saying, somebody wants this series to go seven, because
- 32:36Speaker 3: there's no way that an MBA coach with so much
- 32:39Speaker 3: knowledge and so much.
- 32:42Speaker 2: So you know more, your knowledge is greater than theirs.
- 32:46Speaker 3: It seems weird to me that they're not doing what
- 32:49Speaker 3: the obvious is asking. It's weird to me.
- 32:54Speaker 2: You're obvious, everyone's you know that, But everyone that's not
- 32:59Speaker 2: a member of that coaching staff with decades of coaching
- 33:02Speaker 2: experience that has practiced and played alongside them the whole year.
- 33:07Speaker 2: They do know it and watch film. They do know,
- 33:10Speaker 2: you know, more.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Than somebody is telling them, Hey, man, don't don't.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Do you have a conspiracy now because you lost?
- 33:16Speaker 3: It looked weird to me yesterday's game. They've done a
- 33:19Speaker 3: really good job for all the other games.
- 33:21Speaker 2: I don't think they have. I think that.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Making it look like it's a good competition, you know.
- 33:27Speaker 2: I think that they they've called the games completely different
- 33:30Speaker 2: every game, and like some games they're allowing them to
- 33:34Speaker 2: be extremely physical with Wimby correct some games they're not.
- 33:39Speaker 2: And I think I can understand being irritated at the
- 33:42Speaker 2: inconsistency of how games are called. But I have felt
- 33:45Speaker 2: that once it has decided how the game is going
- 33:47Speaker 2: to be called early they maintained that consistency within the game.
- 33:50Speaker 2: It just hasn't been consistently called in my opinion, through
- 33:53Speaker 2: every game.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Yeah, like Shaye getting called on SGA. The SGA, you know,
- 33:58Speaker 3: draws a foul almost every single time. Sometimes they'll do
- 34:01Speaker 3: a whole game where he's not drawing fouls. Great that you're.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Already hit thirty two last night. I think thirty two.
- 34:07Speaker 4: He gets a lot of backlash too. Well, the NBA does.
- 34:10Speaker 4: It's kind of going viral.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, that call of him maybe is in game four.
- 34:17Speaker 3: The what Flop?
- 34:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I but that's one of my viral
- 34:21Speaker 2: and they're like, he wasn't even touched, but the guy
- 34:23Speaker 2: was underneath him when he came down. You have to
- 34:25Speaker 2: give them a spot to land. Shay does fall a
- 34:28Speaker 2: lot sure as part of his game. The one super
- 34:30Speaker 2: viral clip.
- 34:31Speaker 4: Was a foul like on the baseline right where he's
- 34:33Speaker 4: fading away I think or something.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and he kind of falls out of nowhere. I
- 34:36Speaker 2: believe that's the same clip we're talking about. Yeah, but
- 34:39Speaker 2: I watched a few people that actually have knowledge of
- 34:41Speaker 2: it talk about that specific rule and they're like, yeah,
- 34:43Speaker 2: he didn't like hit him, but you can't be where
- 34:46Speaker 2: he is when he lands. You have to let the
- 34:48Speaker 2: person land. But my only gripe has been inconsistency gamed game.
- 34:53Speaker 2: But I've seen wonderful consistency in each game because once
- 34:59Speaker 2: they decide they're going to let them be physical. God dang,
- 35:01Speaker 2: they play those most physical games.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Crazy games.
- 35:03Speaker 2: And then there are games too where they're like, yeah,
- 35:05Speaker 2: when you letting this happen women's not gonna beat up
- 35:07Speaker 2: the whole game or Chet and Chet's kind of sucked offensively.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 35:11Speaker 2: I think up until last night, through four games, he
- 35:13Speaker 2: had forty five total points. I think last again, I'm
- 35:16Speaker 2: just going from memory here. I think last night he
- 35:17Speaker 2: might have had like fourteen something like that. Yeah, I
- 35:21Speaker 2: don't know, but without Jalen Williams California Jalen Williams.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Not Arkansas Jayalen Williams. Yeah, which I believe is Jay Dubb.
- 35:30Speaker 2: J Dub and the Arkansas j J. What did you
- 35:32Speaker 2: say last night sixteen from chit sixteen? Yeah, So, yeah,
- 35:35Speaker 2: they're done three two and they'll go back to Santonio.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I feel like san Antonio wins the next two good
- 35:41Speaker 3: way the way it's yesterday was set up. I feel
- 35:44Speaker 3: like now they've set it up for san Antonio to
- 35:45Speaker 3: win too in a row.
- 35:47Speaker 2: I feel like the Thunder ended up winning this. H
- 35:49Speaker 2: I think though the Thunder come away winning this, winning
- 35:53Speaker 2: another championship. They're very young, san Antonio slightly younger, which
- 35:55Speaker 2: is crazy. But also now san Antonio is a real
- 35:58Speaker 2: deal player because they just took the the two time
- 36:00Speaker 2: champions to seven games in the West like, I think
- 36:03Speaker 2: that's a story where everybody wins. San Antonio got closer.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Wemby is the real deal. They pushed the best team
- 36:09Speaker 2: to seven games, are now the second best team in
- 36:12Speaker 2: the NBA. And people don't start hitting Winby yet because
- 36:16Speaker 2: once he starts winning, everybody hates him. And Wemby is
- 36:19Speaker 2: still a good guy until he wins two titles.
- 36:21Speaker 4: He's kind of a kind of a dick. Huh yeah,
- 36:24Speaker 4: like in a good way. I mean leader say yeah, yeah,
- 36:28Speaker 4: leader Dick.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Well, it's like Caruso. Can't stand Caruso. Would I love
- 36:32Speaker 3: to have him on my team?
- 36:33Speaker 4: Yes, it's like Pat Beva Smarcus Smart.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I would want Pat Bev. I would want played with
- 36:42Speaker 2: Memphis and got crazy play with me and then went
- 36:46Speaker 2: to Houston. Dylan Brooks is Phoenix. Yeah yeah, yeah, like
- 36:50Speaker 2: Dylan Brooks, Like, that's a guy one of my team,
- 36:51Speaker 2: but I want to punch him in the freaking faces.
- 36:53Speaker 4: Did you see his Operation game that he teamed up
- 36:54Speaker 4: with one of those companies where it's SGA shooting ball
- 36:57Speaker 4: and it's like Operation. You gotta like the game board
- 36:59Speaker 4: game and you gotta go in there and anytime you
- 37:01Speaker 4: touch mes Foult and it goes that's.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Funny, funny. Yeah, So, no matter who wins this game,
- 37:07Speaker 3: do you think the Knicks, I mean, I mean the
- 37:09Speaker 3: Knicks just dominating everybody they play. Do you think that
- 37:12Speaker 3: they end up winning the whole thing New York? Do
- 37:15Speaker 3: you think that they just had an easier, easier road.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I don't think they win the whole thing, and I
- 37:20Speaker 2: think they had it. I think the East is way easier.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean, the West, Oklahoma City, the Spurs, even Denver.
- 37:26Speaker 2: I know Denver flamed out early, but Denver, I'm gonna
- 37:30Speaker 2: put the Lakers in there a lot of although I
- 37:32Speaker 2: think the Lakers would have probably been in the East
- 37:36Speaker 2: way better than they were in the West. The West
- 37:38Speaker 2: is just a freaking knight here Houston, Minnesota, I mean Houston,
- 37:44Speaker 2: except they were just such an Internally that team just
- 37:49Speaker 2: exploded because I think they all hate Kevin Durant.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Just the Knicks just made everybody they played look terrible.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Yeah, everyone, the Cavs. As soon as they lost that
- 37:59Speaker 4: Game one, when they're up by twenty two or something
- 38:00Speaker 4: like that, it was like, okay, recover.
- 38:02Speaker 2: From Noby's awesome. By the way, I don't want to
- 38:05Speaker 2: have Knicks basketball. You know Jaylen Brunton's the story.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don't know.
- 38:08Speaker 2: He's awesome, But yeah, it's it's war of attrition and
- 38:12Speaker 2: that Spurs and Thunder because the sp Uh, what did
- 38:18Speaker 2: Harper do last night?
- 38:19Speaker 3: Nothing? He had five points?
- 38:21Speaker 2: Okay, but because he's hurt still he played.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Sure, But I mean at that point, like you're just
- 38:26Speaker 3: you're not doing anything, man.
- 38:27Speaker 2: But with the Thunder, like A J. Mitchell's awesome, he's
- 38:30Speaker 2: not playing Jayalen Williams even awesomer, and he's not playing
- 38:35Speaker 2: like two of their ball handlers are the Thunder don't
- 38:38Speaker 2: have the two two of their three best ball handlers.
- 38:42Speaker 3: We should Spurs should be winning these games.
- 38:46Speaker 4: It's also the best team in the NBA that you're
- 38:48Speaker 4: going against.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you have the two best teams and
- 38:52Speaker 2: they be playing each other right now. So that's that's
- 38:54Speaker 2: why I say, if the Spurs end up losing this,
- 38:56Speaker 2: which I think they will, although I wantn't be surprised
- 38:57Speaker 2: if they don't, which I think they will. You that
- 39:00Speaker 2: was a great season, yeah, like you basically played the
- 39:03Speaker 2: NBA Finals and lost in seven games.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Absolutely, it's it's it's been a great season. So much
- 39:10Speaker 3: though that all the deals on jerseys, they're not there. Man,
- 39:12Speaker 3: you gotta play, you gotta pay full price now. I
- 39:16Speaker 3: was like, I need a sweatshirt. I need a Spurs
- 39:18Speaker 3: sweatshirt because all my stuff is just older. And I'm like, man,
- 39:21Speaker 3: they're all full price right now.
- 39:22Speaker 2: And Dylan Harper is awesome.
- 39:24Speaker 3: He is so good and castle.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I think Dylan Harper is so freaking good. Yeah, that
- 39:29Speaker 2: whole team. And I think they're younger than what LSU's
- 39:32Speaker 2: college team will be next year.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Oh really, I saw that.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Yeah, like Will Wade's team of old pros and foreigners,
- 39:38Speaker 2: the Spurs are going to be younger than the LSU
- 39:41Speaker 2: team next year. I have a list here of teams
- 39:47Speaker 2: have never won an NBA championship ever. Oh so there
- 39:51Speaker 2: are one, two, three, four, five, six, There are ten teams.
- 39:53Speaker 2: You can go back and forth. Name a team that's
- 39:56Speaker 2: never won an NBA title, Kevin Clippers. Clippers, that is correct,
- 40:01Speaker 2: they have never won an NBA title. The Kings, the
- 40:06Speaker 2: Sacramento Kings have never won, have won? No way, Yeah
- 40:13Speaker 2: like that Sacramento Sacramento Kings won in nineteen fifty one.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Oh no, I don't remember that.
- 40:19Speaker 2: The Kings that and I'm not sure where they were.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I don't think they want to Sacramento at the time
- 40:22Speaker 2: of the Kings that that same team nineteen fifty one,
- 40:24Speaker 2: strike one, Kevin. That's a good guess, Eddie God, that'd
- 40:28Speaker 2: be the worst team to go to. I saw the
- 40:30Speaker 2: list of teams that players didn't want to go to.
- 40:32Speaker 2: A Number one was Memphis, and I believe number two
- 40:34Speaker 2: was Sacramento. I've been to both. It's it's the ownership
- 40:39Speaker 2: more than anything I would I don't want to go
- 40:41Speaker 2: play for the Kings. No, Sacramento's fine city. Memphis. I
- 40:46Speaker 2: like the city a Sacramento better than I do Memphis.
- 40:48Speaker 2: But the ownership there. You just go there if like
- 40:51Speaker 2: you want to dump a contract.
- 40:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 5: At the time, they were known as the Rochester Royals.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Oh wow, Rochester, the Royals from Rochester. Yeah. The reason
- 41:00Speaker 3: you don't like Memphis because your car got robbed twice? Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 3: but I don't is the same place all Guarden guard.
- 41:05Speaker 2: In the Classic?
- 41:06Speaker 4: Yeah, take some breadsticks.
- 41:08Speaker 2: And I think at least if you're playing basketball and Memphis,
- 41:11Speaker 2: there are other cities you can go to on an
- 41:13Speaker 2: off day or two. They're close. Yeah, you're Sacramento. You
- 41:16Speaker 2: got like one or two players, you can go LA
- 41:18Speaker 2: and that's it.
- 41:19Speaker 4: You're in the middle of nowhere out there.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Sacramento and shout out Sacramento is the city. But
- 41:22Speaker 2: if I'm playing there, the ownership there, they don't. They
- 41:24Speaker 2: had one year that was okay, a couple years ago
- 41:26Speaker 2: when they were like the beam of light.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Yeah, then they traded away.
- 41:29Speaker 2: Trade yeah.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Yeah. My next guess is going to be the Suns.
- 41:34Speaker 2: The Phoenix Suns have never never won an NBA title.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Even with that, they're close those Lakers, man.
- 41:41Speaker 3: I'm gonna go with the Atlanta Hawks.
- 41:43Speaker 2: The Atlanta Hawks have one got an NBA title nineteen
- 41:47Speaker 2: fifty eight. You picked the two teams fifty eight and
- 41:51Speaker 2: fifty eight.
- 41:53Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with the Orlando Magic.
- 41:56Speaker 2: The Orlando Magic. I've never want to tie.
- 42:00Speaker 3: I got one more. I got one more. I was
- 42:02Speaker 3: leaning towards Magic too.
- 42:04Speaker 5: Oh.
- 42:05Speaker 3: The Hornets.
- 42:06Speaker 2: The Hornets have never won an NBA title. Two strikes,
- 42:09Speaker 2: but you're still in the game, Kevin.
- 42:12Speaker 4: The now New Orleans Pelicans.
- 42:15Speaker 2: The Pelicans have never won an NBA title. That is correct.
- 42:18Speaker 2: There are one, two, three, four, five teams left.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Okay, the Raptors, they win, they won. Portland Trailblazers.
- 42:33Speaker 2: The Trailblazers have won an NBA title. The Trailblazers won
- 42:38Speaker 2: to nineteen seventy seven.
- 42:40Speaker 4: What's the jail Blazers, dude, Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Because they show red hair, dude.
- 42:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Bill, Yeah Walton.
- 42:48Speaker 3: Bill Walton, he's a redhead.
- 42:50Speaker 4: He's right head, right, well back then he was Yeah, yeah.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Okay, I know that you're you lost. Yeah, I'm out, Kevin,
- 42:56Speaker 2: you want see if you can finish it?
- 42:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but I am running.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Five teams left me.
- 43:05Speaker 4: Oh Brooklyn nets correct, they have never.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Won a title, somewhat the newer ones.
- 43:12Speaker 4: Foor left Okay, see one last year Kings Jazz won it.
- 43:30Speaker 3: Take your time.
- 43:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Minnesota they have never won an NBA title. Job,
- 43:36Speaker 4: I'm just going to there are three left the newer
- 43:38Speaker 4: ones regionally, just making my way from west.
- 43:40Speaker 2: To east, making my way downtown buck.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Faces Paer.
- 43:47Speaker 2: What about Detroit? Wanted you guys can talk it out together?
- 43:51Speaker 3: What about Milwaukee? Has Milwaukee one?
- 43:52Speaker 4: Yeah? They won.
- 43:54Speaker 2: It's like when you said Raptors kui one.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember that.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Some other ones anywhere in we're in like the Midwest, right,
- 44:02Speaker 4: now I'm making it with Indiana and making Pacers.
- 44:06Speaker 2: They have never won. There we go an NBA title.
- 44:09Speaker 2: The Indiana Pacers have never won one. Regie Miller got close,
- 44:12Speaker 2: two or three more two left.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Two left? Who else is in Florida, Orlando, Miami's won, Carolina, Charlotte, Charlotte,
- 44:24Speaker 4: Yeah you did, Georgia, Atlanta. You said Atlanta.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Five seconds?
- 44:33Speaker 3: What about Utah?
- 44:35Speaker 4: They want it back in, they think, But I was
- 44:37Speaker 4: gonna Utah Jazz they have never won a title. They
- 44:41Speaker 4: always got beat too, because.
- 44:42Speaker 2: They were also the New Orleans Jazz, which is where
- 44:44Speaker 2: the name comes from before Utah. New Orleans. That's where jazz.
- 44:47Speaker 4: That makes more.
- 44:48Speaker 3: And the Lakers were in like Minnesota, the Great Lakes,
- 44:51Speaker 3: all the many like Lanta, one thousand lakes and a
- 44:53Speaker 3: thousand lakes whatever.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, great with all the lakes.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:58Speaker 4: One other team up north east Detroit, Detroit, Detroit wanted
- 45:02Speaker 4: back in the day like Ben Wallace and them hit.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you've mentioned him, We've talked about him.
- 45:09Speaker 3: So we go east because you were naming teams in
- 45:14Speaker 3: the East.
- 45:16Speaker 4: Like an Eastern Conference.
- 45:17Speaker 3: No, like in the East of the United State, Eastern
- 45:19Speaker 3: United States.
- 45:20Speaker 2: They are in the West West in the Western Conference.
- 45:23Speaker 2: But we've talked. We talked about them in this segment.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Oh in this segment, did I say, Utah, the odd
- 45:34Speaker 2: thing about this team is that they're in.
- 45:35Speaker 4: The West Then oh Memphis, Yeah, yep, there we go.
- 45:40Speaker 2: I didn't want huh because they used to be Vancouver.
- 45:43Speaker 3: Oh that's why they're Grizzlies.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Damn.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Remember that they had those teal jerseys.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Those they're sweet.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Yeah. So is that it?
- 45:51Speaker 2: That's it? Okay, Kevin good?
- 45:53Speaker 3: Is that good job? Kevin? All?
- 45:55Speaker 2: Right?
- 45:55Speaker 4: Enough? Geographically?
- 45:57Speaker 3: Was there the nineteen fifties? Got me, man, that'll do it.
