Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on? Everybody?
• 0:11
Speaker 2: Welcome into another episode of to Checko Daily. It's Andrew Dchecko,
• 0:15
Speaker 2: Eagles beat reporter for insidethebirds dot Com, here with you.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.
• 0:22
Speaker 2: There are no shortage of topics to get into as
• 0:25
Speaker 2: it pertains to the photo off Eagles who have mandatory
• 0:28
Speaker 2: Mini camp on June ninth and June tenth. But what
• 0:31
Speaker 2: I want to do with you today is I want
• 0:33
Speaker 2: to focus on a handful of players that are a
• 0:36
Speaker 2: little bit off the beaten path. They're not household names,
• 0:39
Speaker 2: are not going to register to many of you, I
• 0:42
Speaker 2: presume anyway, but I want to kind of illustrate how
• 0:46
Speaker 2: they could fit in and what I'll be looking for
• 0:48
Speaker 2: from those players. And there's not going to be the
• 0:51
Speaker 2: household names. There's a couple players on there that you
• 0:54
Speaker 2: might be able to qualify as such, but for me,
• 0:57
Speaker 2: I want to talk about some of those players that
• 1:00
Speaker 2: maybe aren't as well known. Of course, I'll be keeping
• 1:02
Speaker 2: an eye on how the offense progresses in mandatory mini camp,
• 1:06
Speaker 2: in training camp, and how Jalen Hurts looks in the
• 1:08
Speaker 2: health of the offensive line. All of those things are
• 1:12
Speaker 2: sort of baked into it. It's a foregone conclusion, But
• 1:15
Speaker 2: I want to have a little bit of fun in
• 1:17
Speaker 2: a day that there's you know, and when he gets
• 1:21
Speaker 2: to June in July, there's always that sort of dead
• 1:23
Speaker 2: period where I can get creative with some topics. And
• 1:27
Speaker 2: so we'll start with Rake Wohen, who is a player
• 1:30
Speaker 2: who classifies under the household name category. And for Rek Wollen,
• 1:35
Speaker 2: it's more along the lines of can he continue to
• 1:37
Speaker 2: build off of what he showcased early on in the
• 1:41
Speaker 2: two practices open to the media, Will that carry over
• 1:44
Speaker 2: in the mandatory mini camp and then when the true
• 1:47
Speaker 2: test occurs training camp, and be consistent in that you
• 1:50
Speaker 2: see the rangy skill set that he.
• 1:53
Speaker 1: Has, the speed, he has fluidity.
• 1:55
Speaker 2: Where he can flip his hips and run, and I
• 1:58
Speaker 2: believe that he can be physical and his unique length
• 2:01
Speaker 2: has manifested on different occasions when we've seen him out there.
• 2:04
Speaker 2: But it becomes can he be technically sound, assignmon sound
• 2:09
Speaker 2: in this defense and be a trusted option for defensive
• 2:12
Speaker 2: coordinator Vic Fangio And will there be that sort of
• 2:19
Speaker 2: down in and down out consistency with how he conducts
• 2:23
Speaker 2: himself within the confines of the offense, because if he can,
• 2:27
Speaker 2: the Eagles are going to have a player there. But
• 2:29
Speaker 2: I'm highlighting him because of the potential that he carries,
• 2:34
Speaker 2: and if he's able to settle into that role and
• 2:38
Speaker 2: provides some stability to that second outside corner spot, well
• 2:41
Speaker 2: that just affords Vic Fangiel all the more flexibility with
• 2:45
Speaker 2: how he can utilize his personnel. And that's sort of
• 2:48
Speaker 2: something that isn't talked about a ton or considered a ton,
• 2:51
Speaker 2: I should say. But when you look at how this
• 2:54
Speaker 2: defense is conprise and what they had to do last
• 2:56
Speaker 2: season when they were toggling between Quinya, Mitchell and Cooper,
• 3:00
Speaker 2: I think that that kind of drives home my point
• 3:03
Speaker 2: here a little bit. The other player is Michael Carter
• 3:05
Speaker 2: the second and I've been a fan of Michael Carter's game.
• 3:10
Speaker 1: Since he was with the Jets.
• 3:11
Speaker 2: He's a twitchy, athletic nickel corner by trade. But the
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Eagles liked enough of what they've seen from him in
• 3:18
Speaker 2: the eight games that he was in Philadelphia. He came over,
• 3:22
Speaker 2: of course in the just ahead of the trade deadline. Well,
• 3:26
Speaker 2: they're giving him a long look this summer at safety,
• 3:29
Speaker 2: and I think in a lot of ways He is
• 3:32
Speaker 2: a crucial component to the whole safety landscape here with
• 3:36
Speaker 2: the Philadelphia Eagles because he does give you someone who
• 3:39
Speaker 2: has played the game.
• 3:41
Speaker 1: He's played in a ton of games.
• 3:42
Speaker 2: He's athletic, he moves well, and he has a tremendously
• 3:47
Speaker 2: high football IQ. But not a lot is known about
• 3:49
Speaker 2: how he can acclimate to the safety position. So he
• 3:53
Speaker 2: is their dime defender when the personnel calls for it.
• 3:56
Speaker 2: That is notable. But I want to kind of focus
• 3:59
Speaker 2: in on he's picking things up from a communications standpoint
• 4:03
Speaker 2: and is he able to make plays on the football?
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: Is he able?
• 4:06
Speaker 2: Is he someone that because of his stature at five
• 4:09
Speaker 2: ten hundred and eighty five pounds, that receivers are able
• 4:12
Speaker 2: to kind of box him out or tight ends. How
• 4:15
Speaker 2: is he How does he contend with the bigger bodied
• 4:17
  Speaker 2: receivers like a like an E. J. Jenkins who's six',
• 4:20
Speaker 2: six or An Eli stowers for that, matter who's athletic
• 4:24
Speaker 2: and uses his body well in terms of. Positioning Johnny
• 4:28
Speaker 2: Munt dallas got all those players who have that kind
• 4:31
Speaker 2: of body. Type how can someone Like Michael carter atone
• 4:35
Speaker 2: for his lack of prototypical size And drew mccouber for that.
• 4:38
Speaker 2: Matter But i'm really honing in On Michael carter BECAUSE
• 4:42
Speaker 2: i liked a lot of what he's done in his
• 4:43
Speaker 2: career as a nickel, defender AND i believe that he
• 4:46
Speaker 2: can make a successful. Transition but that's WHY i kind
• 4:50
Speaker 2: of highlighted him as someone That i'll.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: Be keeping an eye.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: On we'll keep with the trend of defensive backs because
• 4:56
Speaker 2: there's a few here that may.
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: Not register to.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: You Accept mac McWilliams because mac McWilliams is entering his second.
• 5:03
Speaker 2: Season The eagles drafted him in twenty twenty, five played
• 5:06
Speaker 2: in just five games and didn't contribute all that much
• 5:11
Speaker 2: as a, rookie but he has been getting some work
• 5:14
Speaker 2: as the second team.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: Nickel he has good movement.
• 5:17
Speaker 2: Ability it wasn't long in the training camp that he
• 5:20
Speaker 2: was garnering positive comments From Vic, fangio, who as we've outlined,
• 5:25
Speaker 2: before doesn't offer hollow.
• 5:27
Speaker 1: Praise so the football intellect is.
• 5:28
Speaker 2: EVIDENT i covered him extensively last season as he was
• 5:32
  Speaker 2: my rookie diary.
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: Subject but.
• 5:35
Speaker 2: You look at other players like A Brandon, johnson who
• 5:38
Speaker 2: also is a nickel defender by, trade but he gives
• 5:41
Speaker 2: you safety. Versatility he might be able to help you
• 5:43
Speaker 2: more on special, teams Whereas mac McWilliams wasn't able to
• 5:46
Speaker 2: help The eagles in that. Capacity there are other players
• 5:50
Speaker 2: that maybe give you a little bit more. Optionality but
• 5:54
Speaker 2: this is a big offseason for mac McWilliams BECAUSE i
• 5:56
Speaker 2: like his coverage ability AND i like his his football
• 6:00
Speaker 2: intellect and the way that he. Competes so this is
• 6:04
Speaker 2: a big offseason for, him And i'll be certainly keying
• 6:06
Speaker 2: in on how he acclimates in his second season in
• 6:10
Speaker 2: this defense and whether or not he's able to kind
• 6:13
Speaker 2: of make up some ground and carve out even more
• 6:16
Speaker 2: of a meaningful practice sample size that you can kind
• 6:21
  Speaker 2: of better assess.
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: The other.
• 6:24
Speaker 2: Player AND i would have to imagine that he is
• 6:27
Speaker 2: not going to be someone that you're going to be familiar.
• 6:30
Speaker 2: With but That's Ambry, thomas who was a third round
• 6:33
Speaker 2: pick of The San francisco forty nine ers in twenty twenty.
• 6:36
Speaker 2: One he played in forty two games start at eleven
• 6:39
Speaker 2: four hundred and eighty one defensive. Snaps in twenty twenty,
• 6:42
Speaker 2: Three he's played in over one hundred over one hundred
• 6:45
Speaker 2: snaps on special teams in the three seasons that he
• 6:48
Speaker 2: was available for the forty nine. Ers was on The
• 6:50
Speaker 2: eagles practice squad last. Year good size at six foot
• 6:54
Speaker 2: one hundred and ninety, pounds was getting some work as
• 6:56
Speaker 2: a second team outside, corner and if.
• 6:59
Speaker 1: He's able to help on special teams even a little.
• 7:01
Speaker 2: Bit based off of just the two practices that we
• 7:04
Speaker 2: saw At, OTA's it would appear that The eagles want
• 7:07
Speaker 2: to give him a more extensive look at. Corner and
• 7:11
Speaker 2: WHEN i look at someone Like Keeley, ringo who really
• 7:14
Speaker 2: hasn't taken a lot of reps at, corner it seems
• 7:16
Speaker 2: to me like he's being viewed more as a special teams,
• 7:20
Speaker 2: specialist and he is tremendous in the third. Phase but
• 7:23
Speaker 2: someone Like Ambry, thomas who does have some pedigree he
• 7:26
Speaker 2: played At michigan and he was a third round. Pick
• 7:29
Speaker 2: if he's able to really take to this defense in
• 7:32
Speaker 2: year two and then give you something on special, teams
• 7:36
Speaker 2: maybe he's someone that isn't being talked about right now
• 7:38
Speaker 2: that all of a sudden in training, camp maybe he's
• 7:41
Speaker 2: starting to come up with some plays and factor in
• 7:45
Speaker 2: a little bit more with the second. Unit he was
• 7:48
Speaker 2: on the practice squad last, year AS i have, mentioned
• 7:50
Speaker 2: so he has a year of familiarity within the, defense
• 7:55
Speaker 2: sitting in meetings and so, on that maybe gives him
• 7:57
Speaker 2: a leg up over some of those other. Players and
• 8:00
Speaker 2: THEN i think the other defensive back would Be Kapina,
• 8:03
Speaker 2: gushikin who The eagles signed as an undrafted free, agent
• 8:07
Speaker 2: has two hundred and seventy two, thousand five hundred in total.
• 8:10
Speaker 2: Guarantees he along With Josh, weru the pass rusher out Of,
• 8:16
Speaker 2: kenya is are the. TWO i guess that the two
• 8:20
Speaker 2: highest guarantee. Salaries they both match at that. Figure So
• 8:25
Speaker 2: kushikin would to, me he looks like a player that's
• 8:28
Speaker 2: destined for the practice. SQUAD a smaller, guy good short area,
• 8:32
Speaker 2: quickness can make some plays on the.
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: Football went To.
• 8:35
Speaker 2: Ole miss and he's competed at a high level in.
• 8:38
Speaker 2: College but The eagles seem intrigued with what he can,
• 8:42
Speaker 2: provide and it, would barring something, unforeseen for, SEE i
• 8:46
Speaker 2: could foresee a situation where he's able to kind of
• 8:50
Speaker 2: carve out some staying, power probably on the practice squad
• 8:53
Speaker 2: because it's hard to configure how he would fit into
• 8:55
Speaker 2: the fifty three man. Roster were way early in this,
• 8:58
Speaker 2: process But i'm kind of trying to rationalize things right.
• 9:01
Speaker 2: Now he's not the biggest guy in the world, either
• 9:04
Speaker 2: SO i think that as a nickel, defender that's probably
• 9:07
Speaker 2: where he best slots. In So Kapina gushikhin is another
• 9:10
Speaker 2: player That i'll be king in. On now we get
• 9:12
Speaker 2: to the offensive, line because there's a number of young
• 9:15
Speaker 2: pieces on the offensive line THAT i find to be pretty.
• 9:19
Speaker 2: Fascinating let's start With Willie, lampkin who is listed at
• 9:23
Speaker 2: five to, eleven but he may even be five ten or.
• 9:26
Speaker 2: Shorter but he's, quick he's, athletic he has that wrestling.
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: Background of, course.
• 9:31
Speaker 2: The eagles thought enough Of Willy lampkin to claim him
• 9:35
Speaker 2: off waivers when he was, injured and he was released during.
• 9:37
Speaker 2: Cutdowns they put him on injured reserve and he never
• 9:41
Speaker 2: played in the game for The. Eagles BUT i like his,
• 9:44
Speaker 2: athleticism his ability to play with, leverage and maybe The
• 9:47
Speaker 2: eagles give him a look at guard as well to
• 9:50
Speaker 2: give him that positional. Versatility but there's a lot of
• 9:52
Speaker 2: intrigue and excitement About Willy lampkin when The eagles first acquired,
• 9:56
Speaker 2: him and this will be the first time get we
• 9:58
Speaker 2: would get to see him in a training. Camp, well
• 10:00
Speaker 2: now we're seeing in a mandatory mini camp, setting but
• 10:03
Speaker 2: down the, line we'll get to see him in a
• 10:05
Speaker 2: training camp, setting which is really interesting at least from my, perspective.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: And he'll be battling for a depth.
• 10:12
Speaker 2: Role it would seem that the odds are stacked against,
• 10:15
Speaker 2: him but, again The eagles liked him enough to claim
• 10:18
  Speaker 2: him off.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: Waivers he has a year in that.
• 10:20
Speaker 2: Building granted it was working Alongside Jeff, stoutland but that
• 10:24
Speaker 2: year could prove to be invaluable when you get someone
• 10:27
Speaker 2: into a practice. Setting Jake majors another player who's on
• 10:33
Speaker 2: The eagles practice. Squad last, season signed as a rookie
• 10:36
Speaker 2: free agent with The Tampa Bay, buccaneers didn't make their
• 10:39
Speaker 2: club out of training, camp signed to The eagles practice
• 10:42
Speaker 2: squad After week. One started fifty six games At, texas
• 10:47
Speaker 2: so that's no small. Feat he's a little undersized when
• 10:49
Speaker 2: it comes to, center but everything That i've gathered suggests
• 10:53
Speaker 2: that this is a HIGH iq. PLAYER i remember talking
• 10:56
Speaker 2: To Brett toath last season About Drew, Kendall, well he
• 10:58
Speaker 2: Grouped Jake major's into, that and he is someone That
• 11:02
  Speaker 2: brett thought highly.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: Of just how he understands the. Game how he was
• 11:06
  Speaker 1: willing to kind.
• 11:07
Speaker 2: Of service the starters when it comes to the practice,
• 11:10
Speaker 2: setting holding the bags and kind of taking your lumps
• 11:15
Speaker 2: and servicing the, starters which is what you have to
• 11:17
Speaker 2: do when you're a down the depth chart type of.
• 11:19
Speaker 2: Player but he played a ton at a high profile college.
• 11:24
Speaker 2: Program and another player much Like William lampkin who's on
• 11:27
Speaker 2: the practice squad four, Season so how well did that
• 11:31
Speaker 2: year on the practice squad serve? Him we're going to
• 11:33
Speaker 2: find out he's been getting some second team. Run the
• 11:37
Speaker 2: previous time that we got to see it was at right.
• 11:39
Speaker 2: Guard the first practice was.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: At second team. Center So Jake majors is another.
• 11:44
Speaker 2: Player THEN i Have John, ujukwu who is twenty six years.
• 11:49
Speaker 2: OLD i believe he was a formerly an undrafted free
• 11:52
Speaker 2: agent signing of The Tennessee titans at A Boise, state
• 11:55
Speaker 2: played in sixteen games for them over three, seasons nine,
• 11:58
  Speaker 2: starts five.
• 12:00
Speaker 1: Three hundred and nine.
• 12:01
Speaker 2: Pounds he was a future signing for The. Eagles but
• 12:05
Speaker 2: he's gotten some second team work at, tackle and when
• 12:09
Speaker 2: you're looking at the fifty, three he's not a name
• 12:11
Speaker 2: that's even in that is even really registered to, me
• 12:15
Speaker 2: but it's not hard to and AGAIN i like to
• 12:19
Speaker 2: say that we're ways away from anything from being able
• 12:22
Speaker 2: to take away anything tangibly from how he's performing when
• 12:25
  Speaker 2: the pads come.
• 12:26
Speaker 1: On that's the that's the real. Telltale but he does have,
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: experience and.
• 12:30
Speaker 2: If you're looking at The eagles, reserves there's not a
• 12:33
Speaker 2: ton outside Of Fred johnson that has that kind of.
• 12:36
Speaker 2: Experience and SO i look At John ajukuu And i'm
• 12:39
Speaker 2: kind of intrigued with what he could potentially. Offer and
• 12:43
Speaker 2: that's WHY i have him tabbed as one of those
• 12:45
Speaker 2: players That i'll be looking at when training camp rolls.
• 12:49
Speaker 2: Around Ty robinson is one of those players that you're
• 12:53
Speaker 2: all familiar. With there was a lot of fanfare once
• 12:56
Speaker 2: The eagles drafted. Him going into training, CAMP i probably
• 12:58
Speaker 2: got more questions About Ty robinson And lewis seen more
• 13:03
Speaker 2: than any other. Player he has the nickname The Vanilla.
• 13:07
Speaker 2: Gorilla he has a hulking. Presence he was productive At.
• 13:12
Speaker 2: Nebraska he played a number of. Seasons he's a little
• 13:15
Speaker 2: bit on the older. Side he's twenty five years, old
• 13:17
Speaker 2: older side for a second year, PLAYER i should, say
• 13:20
Speaker 2: and didn't play all that much as a, rookie but
• 13:23
Speaker 2: this is a big second year For Ty.
• 13:24
Speaker 1: Robinson he never want to make too much out of.
• 13:26
Speaker 2: It but you, Know Moro jomo's in the final year
• 13:30
Speaker 2: of his rookie, deal so Is Byron. Young so The
• 13:33
Speaker 2: eagles would love nothing more than For Ty robinson to
• 13:35
Speaker 2: make a big leap in year two and at least
• 13:38
Speaker 2: be able to factor in his rotational. Piece he looks
• 13:40
Speaker 2: like he added some size and muscle to his, frame
• 13:43
Speaker 2: WHICH i think will certainly serve him well in year.
• 13:46
Speaker 2: Two but in training CAMP i just didn't see it
• 13:49
Speaker 2: with him last. Year maybe the light comes on after
• 13:52
Speaker 2: having an invaluable season spent in meeting rooms on the practice,
• 13:56
Speaker 2: field and he did get his feet wet with some
• 13:58
Speaker 2: reps on defense last. Season but we'll see pretty early
• 14:02
Speaker 2: on what version Of Ty robinson The eagles are. Getting
• 14:05
Speaker 2: are they getting the player of last season or are
• 14:06
Speaker 2: they getting a different version where it's a player prime
• 14:09
Speaker 2: to make that second year leap in factor in as
• 14:11
  Speaker 2: a rotational.
• 14:12
Speaker 3: Piece, Hey philly, fans game day is stressful, enough, parking,

• 15:11
Speaker 2: Up who Are bernard And Joshua WERU i kind of grouped.
• 15:15
Speaker 2: Together both are new to the game of. Football who
• 15:18
Speaker 2: are being the seventh round, Pick werou being a undrafted
• 15:22
Speaker 2: free agent signing who signed who has a total guarantee
• 15:28
Speaker 2: of two hundred and seventy two thy five hundred much
• 15:30
Speaker 2: like a Pin, kashikin BUT i would imagine That weru
• 15:34
Speaker 2: is going to be a little bit more advanced when
• 15:36
Speaker 2: it comes to just the on field movements and things like,
• 15:39
Speaker 2: that because he is coming from a rugby.
• 15:42
Speaker 1: Background but both players are immensely.
• 15:44
Speaker 2: Raw but you can see the vision with The eagles
• 15:47
Speaker 2: with wo Or, bernard it looks like he's wearing shoulder.
• 15:49
Speaker 1: Pads he is a chiseled.
• 15:52
Speaker 2: Player and, yeah AND i mean the fluidity and the
• 15:56
Speaker 2: movements and when you're not thinking as. Much that's all
• 15:58
Speaker 2: going to come together in due time and it is
• 16:01
Speaker 2: going to be a. Process BUT i have those two
• 16:03
Speaker 2: guys jotted down as Names i'm looking at because of
• 16:07
Speaker 2: just the newness of football to.
• 16:10
  Speaker 1: Them and.
• 16:13
Speaker 2: It's so it's going to be fascinating to see where
• 16:16
Speaker 2: they are from this point where we're at right now
• 16:19
Speaker 2: to the midway point in training camp and at the.
• 16:21
Speaker 2: End AND i hope that they get some preseason reps
• 16:23
Speaker 2: where they can go out there and showcase their, development
• 16:26
Speaker 2: but because you, know you want to see how they
• 16:29
Speaker 2: take to when the pads eventually come, on and how
• 16:32
Speaker 2: they're their hand usage and how they're just taking and
• 16:36
Speaker 2: absorbing the coaching because they have fascinating they have tremendous
• 16:39
Speaker 2: coaches that they're learning, from and defensive line Coach Clint
• 16:43
Speaker 2: hurt in the case of War bernard and outside linebackers
• 16:46
Speaker 2: defensive end's Coach Jeremiah. Washburn they have notable track records
• 16:51
Speaker 2: when it comes to. Development they're good at honing in
• 16:53
Speaker 2: on the details and fundamentals and so sort of chronicling
• 16:57
Speaker 2: the development of Both Or bernard And josh where we
• 17:00
Speaker 2: rue is going to be something THAT i will be watching.
• 17:04
Speaker 2: Closely then you Have Roco, underwood the rookie free agent long.
• 17:10
Speaker 2: Snapper The eagles right now don't have another long. Snapper
• 17:13
Speaker 2: it Is Roco, underwood so it's his show right. Now
• 17:16
Speaker 2: but that could change quickly with some errant snaps and
• 17:20
Speaker 2: things like. That but how will he respond when there's
• 17:23
Speaker 2: an actual live rush coming after, Him BECAUSE i would
• 17:26
Speaker 2: imagine it's a lot easier to do something when you're
• 17:28
Speaker 2: not feeling that. Pressure it's hard to, simulate but we'll
• 17:31
Speaker 2: see pretty quickly how he's.
• 17:34
  Speaker 1: Able to handle.
• 17:34
Speaker 2: That but right, now he is The eagles rookie free
• 17:38
Speaker 2: agent who has the best chance of making the team
• 17:40
Speaker 2: simply because they don't have a long.
• 17:41
Speaker 1: Snapper but that's not.
• 17:42
Speaker 2: To say that things can't change based off of their
• 17:45
Speaker 2: assessment of how he performs through these.
• 17:49
Speaker 1: Practices and also early in training.
• 17:51
Speaker 2: Camp Danny gray is another player That i've talked about
• 17:56
Speaker 2: simply because he has a reputation for being a, lashy
• 18:00
  Speaker 2: productive practice.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: Player you see the four to three three speed that.
• 18:05
Speaker 2: He has that he's coming in, with and he was
• 18:08
Speaker 2: a third round pick out OF, smu so you like
• 18:10
Speaker 2: the pedigree. There injuries have sort of derailed his, career
• 18:14
Speaker 2: but and even last summer he had the finger injury
• 18:17
Speaker 2: which forced The egles to wave him because they simply
• 18:19
Speaker 2: couldn't wait around and hold onto his roster. Spot but
• 18:24
Speaker 2: now that he's, healthy now that he's been around for
• 18:27
Speaker 2: a couple of, years granted this is a new, Offense
• 18:30
Speaker 2: i'm curious to see if we're able to see some
• 18:32
Speaker 2: of those flashes that his teammates have referred to over
• 18:35
Speaker 2: the last couple of years or. So SO i view
• 18:39
Speaker 2: him as a long shot to make the, roster but
• 18:41
Speaker 2: he is someone, that, yeah you, know if he's able
• 18:44
Speaker 2: to kind of get active and make some plays down the,
• 18:46
Speaker 2: field is a deep.
• 18:47
  Speaker 1: Threat maybe that.
• 18:49
Speaker 2: Warrants a look as a returner because it's hard to
• 18:54
Speaker 2: not be enamored with his fluidity and movement in short
• 18:59
Speaker 2: areas to maybe suggest that he can do take on
• 19:03
Speaker 2: some return duties or at least warn't a look.
• 19:05
Speaker 1: There so that's WHY i kind of have him there as.
• 19:08
Speaker 2: Well and THEN i Guess i'll close things out by SAYING. J. T,
• 19:12
Speaker 2: gray who The eagles signed in free. Agency he's a
• 19:16
Speaker 2: special team, stalwart a three Time All, pro but played
• 19:20
Speaker 2: just one hundred and fifty snaps at. Safety he's listed
• 19:22
  Speaker 2: as a, safety but he's really a special team's. Maven
• 19:25
Speaker 2: that's been his primary, focus his primary job. Description but
• 19:30
Speaker 2: that being, said how does he look at? Safety does
• 19:34
Speaker 2: it look natural to? Him can he convince The eagles
• 19:37
Speaker 2: to maybe go a little heavier there and keep him
• 19:40
Speaker 2: in A Chris maragos type of role or is he
• 19:43
Speaker 2: someone that is simply a one dimensional, player.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: You, know depending on how dominant he.
• 19:49
Speaker 2: Is if you're The, eagles can you justify carrying a
• 19:51
Speaker 2: player who is simply a special team's, standout especially when
• 19:56
Speaker 2: you factor in that you also Have Keey ringo on the.
• 19:58
Speaker 2: Roster And i'm not con vince that they view him
• 20:01
Speaker 2: so much as a cornerback, anymore as much as they
• 20:04
  Speaker 2: do as a special team's centerpiece, there so there's a
• 20:08
Speaker 2: there's a lot to, learn and we will learn more
• 20:11
Speaker 2: in training, camp but right, now those are the players
• 20:13
Speaker 2: that are on my radar that are not of the
• 20:15
Speaker 2: household name, variety and those are the reasons Why i'm
• 20:19
Speaker 2: king in on them in the coming, months AND i
• 20:22
Speaker 2: kind of wanted to put them on your radar as.
• 20:24
Speaker 2: Names maybe that will that you'll jot down or file
• 20:27
Speaker 2: away once we get to Late july and training camp
• 20:31
Speaker 2: is uh full steam. Ahead but for, now that's gonna do.
• 20:35
Speaker 2: It for this episode Of the Check O, Daily.
• 20:37
Speaker 1: I'm andrew De. Checko i'll catch you all on the next.
• 20:40
  Speaker 1: One
