- 0:52Speaker 5: without my friend, my producer, y'all's favorite des a rate,
- 0:58Speaker 5: Desli rate, DESI rate?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Does a rate? Does a rate? Does a rate? Does
- 1:02Speaker 3: a rate?
- 1:04Speaker 5: We was in a spirit black and white because because
- 1:08Speaker 5: I guess got a little black on black on black
- 1:11Speaker 5: going on, but it's maybe black on blackation.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you.
- 1:19Speaker 5: Have to because things are happening that you're gonna have
- 1:21Speaker 5: to be coordinated.
- 1:22Speaker 3: For apparent Uh huh. We thank you God for a
- 1:26Speaker 3: holy coordination. Do y'all like my glasses? Do I look cool?
- 1:31Speaker 5: It's given, It's given. I'm from where the west side
- 1:35Speaker 5: of Birmingham. Tell me what you know about me?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Okay, it's given that. Okay, if you want you some. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 3: they're new.
- 1:44Speaker 5: I got them from Glamour four Eyes right here in Birmingham, Alabama.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I love that place.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Now I think I don't think I want to go
- 1:51Speaker 5: anywhere else because it was very personable.
- 1:53Speaker 3: She taught me about the shape of my face. Did
- 1:55Speaker 3: you just get the glasses? You got the exam and everything.
- 1:58Speaker 5: So I already had my exam. I had my exam
- 2:01Speaker 5: and I was able to give her my prescription. Now
- 2:03Speaker 5: what they did do was they they measured my pupils.
- 2:08Speaker 5: My pupil measurements were wrong. I can tell the difference. Okay,
- 2:13Speaker 5: So shout out to the people at Glamor forour eyes, y'all.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Make sure y'all hit them up and tell them just
- 2:19Speaker 5: sent you.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:20Speaker 5: But there's alright, this young lady. We met her around
- 2:25Speaker 5: this time last year. Yeah, well we didn't meet her.
- 2:28Speaker 5: We had already met her, but the relationship started developing
- 2:31Speaker 5: them around this time last year. And it's like she's stuck,
- 2:35Speaker 5: like I can't get rid of them. I can't get
- 2:37Speaker 5: rid of them. But I love it though. She's she's
- 2:42Speaker 5: little Sis for real, and so I'm really excited because
- 2:46Speaker 5: she hasn't been in bg TV in some months. It's
- 2:49Speaker 5: been it's been a while, she hasn't been on her
- 2:52Speaker 5: her own podcast in a while. But she said, Jess, can.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I pull up? Pull up? Pull up? Pull up a
- 2:57Speaker 3: little Sis pull up.
- 2:58Speaker 5: So she's no introduction because she is who she is. Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 5: I would like to present to something introduced to others,
- 3:06Speaker 5: my good sister, Tiffany Nicole. Why take me through that?
- 3:16Speaker 3: She got me doing that? Y'all like, hey, he.
- 3:21Speaker 6: Very much so, because you're you might not have the
- 3:24Speaker 6: white letters, but you are white.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so contrary to popular movies. Yes, some people
- 3:31Speaker 3: are really confused about this. Does it? Is it giving
- 3:34Speaker 3: creole or is it giving? It's just giving? Tell where
- 3:40Speaker 3: you being?
- 3:40Speaker 5: Like the people really want to know, because you know,
- 3:42Speaker 5: it's gonna be about three thousand y'all come over here
- 3:44Speaker 5: just because her name on this on this podcast.
- 3:47Speaker 3: That's girl.
- 3:48Speaker 5: No, let's just let's just call it spade of spade.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Half of y'all came over here because y'all, the best
- 3:55Speaker 5: thing that she could have done was the best gift
- 3:58Speaker 5: one of the best gifts I received. What was the
- 4:01Speaker 5: reception of support and when you surprised me at your
- 4:06Speaker 5: event with hey, can y'all go follow Jessica, she has
- 4:09Speaker 5: this goal of reaching a thousand.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I was done. I'm done. I was I keep forgetting.
- 4:14Speaker 3: That was just this year.
- 4:15Speaker 5: In February, and you got me over the hunt that
- 4:18Speaker 5: I needed to get over because I asked God literally
- 4:21Speaker 5: that day, hey, can you prove to me before this
- 4:23Speaker 5: Tabitha Brown episode comes out that I'm working, I'm in
- 4:27Speaker 5: the right direction, like it's not gonna be because of her.
- 4:29Speaker 5: And when you did that, you just I mean, so,
- 4:32Speaker 5: I'm this show platform, this.
- 4:36Speaker 3: This a timph show.
- 4:38Speaker 6: Okay, I'm just I'm just a part of it. It
- 4:40Speaker 6: was hard to keep a secret though. I suck and
- 4:42Speaker 6: keeping secrets, I really do. And I had like mentioned
- 4:45Speaker 6: the idea to death Ray and we were like, okay,
- 4:47Speaker 6: I made the graphic, we had that, we had the plan,
- 4:50Speaker 6: we had the platform, and then the time came aroun
- 4:52Speaker 6: I'm like that's right, you like, and.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 4:58Speaker 6: It was crazy, like I although, yes, Gallentines is my
- 5:04Speaker 6: event and like my idea at the very end of
- 5:05Speaker 6: it all, like I really just look at it as
- 5:08Speaker 6: a space for every woman, yeah, from every walk of
- 5:10Speaker 6: life to just come together and be in one room,
- 5:13Speaker 6: under one roof, celebrating one guy. And that's just what
- 5:16Speaker 6: it is.
- 5:17Speaker 3: I'm so glad you said that. So I wasn't planning
- 5:19Speaker 3: on going starting hell, but hey, listen.
- 5:21Speaker 5: So since we're there Gallentines. Yes, our first Gallantines was
- 5:26Speaker 5: this past February.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Crazy. How long did it take you to get that together?
- 5:31Speaker 5: Because it sold out in a crazy amount of time,
- 5:34Speaker 5: thirty six hours. And how many women was there?
- 5:39Speaker 3: Three hundred? Well three and twenty if we're counting like everybody.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Yeah, we was packed like it was suppussed to be
- 5:47Speaker 5: two fifty where we.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Ended around three twenty.
- 5:51Speaker 5: Man, When I tell you, just being there was just
- 5:55Speaker 5: like so rewarding. How did you come up with the
- 5:58Speaker 5: idea of getting people together because we gotta set this
- 6:01Speaker 5: up because you were in a space where you was like,
- 6:04Speaker 5: you know what, I'm not doing other people's events.
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm not I'm taking a break.
- 6:08Speaker 5: You know, you had gone, you were speaking, you were
- 6:11Speaker 5: on panels, you were going to Mississippi like every every month.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I love.
- 6:17Speaker 5: The baby, they love you down. How did you go
- 6:20Speaker 5: from saying, hey, I need a break to let me
- 6:23Speaker 5: let me run this for myself.
- 6:24Speaker 6: So the break came right after that because right before Gallentines,
- 6:31Speaker 6: I was that weekend before literally I was on a
- 6:33Speaker 6: flight and I was in West Palm Meach, Florida. So
- 6:36Speaker 6: my now mentor God is so funny, but my now
- 6:39Speaker 6: mentor was the host of that conference and I had
- 6:41Speaker 6: to open it up speaking, And so I was like
- 6:43Speaker 6: when everything lined up, and I knew that was happening
- 6:45Speaker 6: for months before Gallentines, and I didn't look at my
- 6:47Speaker 6: calendar to see that, like the weekends were back to
- 6:51Speaker 6: back up until like maybe two weeks before, and I'm like, oh,
- 6:54Speaker 6: like we're doing this for four Yeah. But it came
- 6:58Speaker 6: in like a dream and like I really had to
- 7:00Speaker 6: sit there and like meditation and like time with God
- 7:02Speaker 6: and be like okay, we like what do you mean?
- 7:04Speaker 6: Because like we were saying before we got on air,
- 7:05Speaker 6: like I love like when we were talking about logistics
- 7:08Speaker 6: of Galentines, Like I loved just showing up like somebody
- 7:10Speaker 6: has me as a guest or I'm just attending as
- 7:12Speaker 6: a guest and not like on a stage, no, no, nothing.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I love just showing up.
- 7:16Speaker 6: But I know the hard work and the you know
- 7:18Speaker 6: details to go in behind the scenes too, and I
- 7:20Speaker 6: love that that's not on me. So I mean, but regardless,
- 7:24Speaker 6: every guest, you know, no matter what space, we still
- 7:26Speaker 6: have a mandate to show up and to do what
- 7:28Speaker 6: God has called us to do. But in that space,
- 7:31Speaker 6: that was all planned in under a week. It like
- 7:34Speaker 6: the first right before the New Year hit or like
- 7:37Speaker 6: right after I can't remember exactly. I announced the tickets
- 7:40Speaker 6: like not even thirty days out, sold out in thirty
- 7:44Speaker 6: six hours, and then that was it. And I had
- 7:46Speaker 6: maybe like seven to ten volunteers to help me the
- 7:48Speaker 6: day of, and.
- 7:49Speaker 3: That was it. Maybe we went with it.
- 7:51Speaker 6: We went running and through Gallentines and through my obedience
- 7:54Speaker 6: with that, like I've seen so many connections still like
- 7:58Speaker 6: have like still come to fruition like months after the fact,
- 8:01Speaker 6: and going into Galentine's twenty twenty six.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I see those connections that have built.
- 8:05Speaker 6: And that God has laid the foundation for and I'm
- 8:07Speaker 6: just like, oh my gosh, yeah, like it's crazy because
- 8:09Speaker 6: like what seemed like so out of the water for
- 8:12Speaker 6: the first one then going into the second one, and
- 8:14Speaker 6: God was like, okay, do it better?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Do it bigger And I'm like, ah, yeah, what does
- 8:18Speaker 3: bigger look like?
- 8:19Speaker 6: Bigger looks like two days, well, two nights, one full day,
- 8:24Speaker 6: so Friday night, Saturday all day and then Saturday night
- 8:27Speaker 6: and then a late night Saturday night.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't even know how many guests like speakers
- 8:33Speaker 3: and stuff. I don't off the top of mya. Probably ten. Yeah,
- 8:36Speaker 3: And then we have two panels.
- 8:39Speaker 6: We have Prophet is actually Brown Friday night, my mentor Shanate,
- 8:44Speaker 6: coach Shane Jackson, and pastor Petre Pender Saturday day for
- 8:49Speaker 6: those sessions. Then we have a little break. Then we
- 8:51Speaker 6: have the big Saturday night session, which is like the
- 8:53Speaker 6: original Galentines was. Yeah, and then the after party after
- 8:57Speaker 6: that is the ojay ojay please try oh o g.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Oj never the og pizza and pjs.
- 9:09Speaker 6: That's what it was the first time. It was really
- 9:10Speaker 6: just pajamas, pizza, women.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, like just being the Lord and.
- 9:16Speaker 6: The Lord and nothing that happened after Like the panel
- 9:21Speaker 6: was on the program, right, like we thought we were
- 9:24Speaker 6: bigger than the program.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm talking about people laid out.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I said, I literally go to my over the I'm like, oh,
- 9:32Speaker 6: we ain't even got enough sheets some of the grabs
- 9:33Speaker 6: some blankets like.
- 9:36Speaker 3: We was grabbing it shifted, its shifted fast.
- 9:38Speaker 5: One thing, one thing I do notice because you've given
- 9:42Speaker 5: me the opportunity to walk with you in the past
- 9:45Speaker 5: year that we've known each other, and it's just been
- 9:46Speaker 5: beer rewarding seeing you.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Navigate your life till fain't the same TIF.
- 9:52Speaker 5: This Gallantine's Day, this Gallantine's tift is definitely different from
- 9:59Speaker 5: Galantines twent twenty six aka floors scaling times.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Can we walk through that? Because there have been a
- 10:06Speaker 3: lot of changes.
- 10:07Speaker 5: I can tell you the number one changes being when
- 10:10Speaker 5: you was here last time, since ain't had no diploma.
- 10:14Speaker 6: No, come on, let's talk about that. How do we
- 10:18Speaker 6: go from oh I didn't, I don't.
- 10:20Speaker 5: I don't have a high school diploma and then you
- 10:23Speaker 5: pop out with cap and gown this year, Like, tell
- 10:26Speaker 5: me walk us through your reasoning why and then how
- 10:31Speaker 5: you got over that hurdle, because I mean, I can
- 10:33Speaker 5: only imagine you've been out of high school for a minute.
- 10:36Speaker 6: Seven years, seven years, So connecting back to your first
- 10:41Speaker 6: initial question to me, taking a break, taking a step back.
- 10:45Speaker 3: So my last episode here was.
- 10:47Speaker 6: For my mom's birthday, and that was March seventh, and
- 10:52Speaker 6: then of this year, Gallentines.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Was February in the beginning of.
- 10:59Speaker 6: It was the first weekend, the weekend before Valentine today,
- 11:03Speaker 6: and during that season was when God was like, shut up.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Like not being funny. He told me to shut up
- 11:09Speaker 3: and sit down because.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Like, for instance, when I was traveling like this had
- 11:14Speaker 6: the third withoutenor ministry, like I was like wanted to
- 11:17Speaker 6: give up so so so bad, and then God was
- 11:19Speaker 6: like no, like just like the disciples, like.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I'll heal you as you go.
- 11:22Speaker 6: So that was what I had to do in that season.
- 11:24Speaker 6: But then the next season came and I was like
- 11:27Speaker 6: I'm burnt out. I'm worn down, like I just need
- 11:31Speaker 6: to sit, but the people pleased are in me, and
- 11:34Speaker 6: I didn't want people. You know, sometimes I'll be like,
- 11:36Speaker 6: oh she lost guy left the church, like she's just
- 11:40Speaker 6: she needed to come back the backslider. I'm like no,
- 11:42Speaker 6: So I sat down and I shut up, and people
- 11:46Speaker 6: still mention to.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Today, and I mean, it's not no fault to them.
- 11:49Speaker 6: They're like I want another podcast episode, like I want
- 11:52Speaker 6: to do this, like I want you to host this.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Okay, that's cool. God didn't tell me to do that. Yeah.
- 11:57Speaker 6: So the fruition from let's just say March April to
- 12:03Speaker 6: now we're in the end of November.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 12:07Speaker 6: I don't even recognize myself from January of this year,
- 12:10Speaker 6: like January, February, March, whole new person, all because I
- 12:14Speaker 6: sat down and I shut up, and I didn't heal
- 12:17Speaker 6: in front of a camera or under the pressures of
- 12:20Speaker 6: other people or this. That, and the third because there
- 12:22Speaker 6: was a lot that not even just in the past
- 12:25Speaker 6: year or you know, things of that age, just in
- 12:27Speaker 6: my life period now in adulthood that I had to
- 12:31Speaker 6: sit with and heal from, and not at the sake
- 12:33Speaker 6: of just myself, but like, okay, now I'm about to
- 12:36Speaker 6: have a five year old, like a kindergartener. Yeah, and
- 12:39Speaker 6: that's what it was. So that was a turning point
- 12:42Speaker 6: in regards to my diploma.
- 12:44Speaker 3: So I have my general education diploma. I'm likeded period.
- 12:50Speaker 3: So I watched them.
- 12:51Speaker 6: I graduate May fifteenth, I want to say, yeah, from
- 12:57Speaker 6: pre K so K four and she was supposed to
- 13:00Speaker 6: go into kindergarten, but the cutoff for Jefferson County September first,
- 13:04Speaker 6: her birthday September third, so she wasn't going to public school.
- 13:06Speaker 6: I didn't want to go to public school anyway. So
- 13:08Speaker 6: I was like, okay, perfect, So.
- 13:09Speaker 3: We're having a graduation.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Don't know where you're going next year, but we're gonna
- 13:12Speaker 6: trust God and figure it out. Yeah. So I watched
- 13:15Speaker 6: her cap and gown and she was the first, I
- 13:17Speaker 6: want to say, like the first or second like in
- 13:19Speaker 6: the line of like the little kids. And I see
- 13:21Speaker 6: my child in a baby blue cap and gown and
- 13:24Speaker 6: I say, ain't no way. I'm sick to my stomach.
- 13:27Speaker 6: I'm like, ain't no way that I'm gonna let you
- 13:30Speaker 6: grow up and it's not me.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Five days later, I got my GD.
- 13:36Speaker 5: So what does that for people that don't know because
- 13:38Speaker 5: I didn't go through the GED process or whatnot. What
- 13:41Speaker 5: is that process like for somebody that may may be like,
- 13:44Speaker 5: you know, it is over for me because you saying
- 13:46Speaker 5: five days that's pretty quick, that's pretty quick.
- 13:49Speaker 3: What does that process look like?
- 13:51Speaker 6: So I had been like doing training like on and
- 13:54Speaker 6: off for about a year through the software called on
- 13:57Speaker 6: Sego O n Sego, and then I mean I would
- 14:01Speaker 6: take it serious, but then like I wouldn't, And I'm
- 14:03Speaker 6: just like because it was just a lot of information
- 14:04Speaker 6: because you have to think I dropped out after I
- 14:06Speaker 6: completed the ninth grade, so I never learned algebra.
- 14:09Speaker 3: I didn't learn.
- 14:10Speaker 6: Most of like the social study stuff, like didn't learn
- 14:12Speaker 6: anything with science for and even if I did learn it,
- 14:14Speaker 6: this was seven years ago. Like I've had a whole child,
- 14:17Speaker 6: Like I've lived in like five different places, Like a
- 14:22Speaker 6: lot has happened. I've lost my mother, I've lost my grandmother,
- 14:24Speaker 6: like a lot has transpired. So with So I got
- 14:30Speaker 6: my GD through the ged dot com software online. So
- 14:33Speaker 6: it's like the official like GD program. All the things
- 14:35Speaker 6: they make you take. If you want to take it online,
- 14:37Speaker 6: you can take the GD in person. But if you
- 14:39Speaker 6: want to take it online, you have to take and
- 14:41Speaker 6: passed their practice tests first before you're able to do
- 14:44Speaker 6: the actual subjects. There's four subjects, so I had to
- 14:47Speaker 6: pass those, past those off first time, Glorid to Guy.
- 14:50Speaker 6: Then I had to set up a proctured exam where
- 14:53Speaker 6: they watch you and you have to show the whole room.
- 14:55Speaker 6: You know, all the things new to me. Never heard
- 14:57Speaker 6: of a procter day in my life. And so, but
- 15:01Speaker 6: the way that they have it is you can only
- 15:02Speaker 6: schedule like one at a time and then after you
- 15:04Speaker 6: complete that one, whether you pass or failed, then you're
- 15:06Speaker 6: able to schedule another one. So I was literally just
- 15:09Speaker 6: taking exams at like eleven pm a night, getting done
- 15:13Speaker 6: with that scheduling one. I'm working full time at this
- 15:15Speaker 6: point right scheduling them on my lunch break Monday, and
- 15:19Speaker 6: then took one Monday night, then Tuesday took another one
- 15:21Speaker 6: on my lunch break.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Then Wednesday was my last one.
- 15:23Speaker 6: So Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, I'm taking my four tests
- 15:28Speaker 6: and I don't I took math last because I was
- 15:31Speaker 6: least comedy. I don't know how I passed, but I
- 15:35Speaker 6: passed with the I think the score is like one
- 15:37Speaker 6: you have to get over, and nothing was less than
- 15:40Speaker 6: I want to say, like ten points over. Of all
- 15:42Speaker 6: my scores, my highest was definitely language arts. Yeah, it
- 15:44Speaker 6: was just always been my bag. It was like one
- 15:46Speaker 6: seventy seven out of two hundred.
- 15:48Speaker 3: So I was like, oh, we could great, we cooking
- 15:51Speaker 3: with grease, but.
- 15:52Speaker 6: We are cooking with grease. And then God is just
- 15:55Speaker 6: so intentional. Because that was May, May twentieth. This when
- 15:57Speaker 6: I got my GD April before, I was at a
- 16:01Speaker 6: networking event with my former boss and I happened to
- 16:04Speaker 6: meet the president of Myles College, doctor Bobbin Knight. So
- 16:07Speaker 6: I was like, oh, like you know, I had, you know,
- 16:09Speaker 6: they were introducing me like on things. She was like,
- 16:11Speaker 6: if you're ever considering, you know, Miles College, let me know.
- 16:13Speaker 6: And I was like, what is Miles College? But I've
- 16:16Speaker 6: heard about it here and there, and like I've seen
- 16:17Speaker 6: the exit like on the way to when now Love
- 16:20Speaker 6: City Church, but when it was All Nations Church, we
- 16:22Speaker 6: were off that one nineteen exit. So I've seen it
- 16:24Speaker 6: like time and time again, but I've like never been there, right,
- 16:27Speaker 6: So I was like, hmmm. So I went online and
- 16:30Speaker 6: I'm looking at other colleges before Miles. They all required
- 16:34Speaker 6: ACT score. They all required this time and the third
- 16:36Speaker 6: I didn't know nobody that I could like call and
- 16:38Speaker 6: like ask questions. Besides like the main line and by
- 16:40Speaker 6: this point you gotta think it's the end of May
- 16:42Speaker 6: going into like the summer. I'm still like, I don't
- 16:45Speaker 6: know what FASTA is. I don't know none of this.
- 16:47Speaker 6: I'm happy to do all of this and learn as
- 16:49Speaker 6: I literally go. And it was Myles College that really
- 16:51Speaker 6: answered those questions for me and made it easy. And
- 16:54Speaker 6: then I remember like maybe like a month less than
- 16:58Speaker 6: a month before classes started, I was like, I need
- 17:01Speaker 6: another scholarship, mind you, I'd applied to like over one
- 17:03Speaker 6: hundred scholarships, anything you could think of, because my fast
- 17:07Speaker 6: foot didn't cover everything and I did not want to
- 17:10Speaker 6: take out alone at all, and so I was telling
- 17:16Speaker 6: my advisor. They made a call. I got a twenty
- 17:18Speaker 6: thousand dollars scholarship.
- 17:19Speaker 3: So, I mean, at that point it was no brainer
- 17:21Speaker 3: because they had the accupulacer. They didn't have the ACT.
- 17:23Speaker 3: You could have taken the ACT.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Yeah, cool, but they have like a placement test already
- 17:27Speaker 6: r so, and it was just from there. The size
- 17:31Speaker 6: of the campus, I know a lot of people's names,
- 17:34Speaker 6: not just faces I got.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I got a customed really quick.
- 17:39Speaker 6: And then since then it's just been about learning, respecting
- 17:43Speaker 6: the culture, adding to it, and not taking away from
- 17:46Speaker 6: it or trying to, I don't know, be misfit because.
- 17:51Speaker 5: Let's just talk about that, because I mean, you're white, yep,
- 17:57Speaker 5: you are a white woman, Okay, going to an HBCU,
- 18:01Speaker 5: which stands for Historically Black College and University.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Right, Miles is black black, like they.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Did.
- 18:16Speaker 5: I live down the street from Miles shout out of
- 18:18Speaker 5: the Golden bells is what it's like?
- 18:21Speaker 3: How is it for you transitioning?
- 18:24Speaker 5: Because I know Tivny you different, so I understand that,
- 18:27Speaker 5: but just in reality, looking at the tangible evidence of
- 18:31Speaker 5: you being a white girl, a white woman going to
- 18:34Speaker 5: a historically black college, what.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Has been like the the the most.
- 18:42Speaker 5: I want wanna say challenging opportunity that you've seen being
- 18:46Speaker 5: in that culture, because you're saying you want to respect
- 18:48Speaker 5: the culture. But some people I've heard, just not just
- 18:52Speaker 5: with you, but when white people go to black, black spaces,
- 18:58Speaker 5: it's some hard for some black people to accept, Hey,
- 19:01Speaker 5: you want to be here, and you genuinely want to
- 19:03Speaker 5: be here. You're not trying to be out like black,
- 19:07Speaker 5: You're just trying to get your education at a historically
- 19:10Speaker 5: black college.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Like, how has it been for you?
- 19:14Speaker 6: I want to say, the most challenging part wasn't me
- 19:17Speaker 6: going to Miles.
- 19:18Speaker 3: It was me being involved in Miles.
- 19:21Speaker 6: And that was when, you know, kind of some of
- 19:24Speaker 6: the backlashes started, not even just from students, but like
- 19:27Speaker 6: from alumni. And I don't know if like people just
- 19:30Speaker 6: don't think that like people see these things like what
- 19:32Speaker 6: you're saying online like I can see that.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Yeah, like the next person, I just choose not to
- 19:37Speaker 3: say anything. Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 6: The most challenging was, I guess, just the false assumption
- 19:43Speaker 6: that one I wanted to be black, or I'm trying
- 19:47Speaker 6: to invade a safe space or this, that and the
- 19:50Speaker 6: third that's never what it was. Miles offered me more
- 19:53Speaker 6: opportunities than any other college or university when it came
- 19:57Speaker 6: to scholarship, being debt free, just how close to everybody was,
- 20:01Speaker 6: how professional administration was, and like getting back to me
- 20:04Speaker 6: and like communicating, like I know everybody, because over before
- 20:09Speaker 6: when I got accepted, up until classes started, I went
- 20:11Speaker 6: up to my house at least once a week, you know,
- 20:13Speaker 6: whether that was the welcoming emissions office, whether that was
- 20:16Speaker 6: financial aid, the business office, what the lunchroom, just literally
- 20:20Speaker 6: going to the caf and like seeing how things work
- 20:22Speaker 6: and like who's around and because that's just how I
- 20:25Speaker 6: am in life, and I mean that's what I was
- 20:27Speaker 6: taught to do from very early on. Because you know,
- 20:29Speaker 6: you ain't got no ged and this and the third
- 20:31Speaker 6: and you went, I was I was a paralegal, like working.
- 20:34Speaker 3: In the legal field.
- 20:35Speaker 6: Yeah, no degree, no diploma, so you would have to
- 20:39Speaker 6: know how to network and establish good relationships and genuinely
- 20:42Speaker 6: just be a good person of integrity. So I think
- 20:45Speaker 6: the most challenging part for me, though, was like people
- 20:48Speaker 6: just not knowing who I was or what I come from,
- 20:52Speaker 6: or this, that and the third and automatically putting this
- 20:55Speaker 6: false label or like looking at me through a false
- 20:57Speaker 6: lens and not remembering at the.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Very end of the day, like I'm a person. Yeah,
- 21:01Speaker 3: Like while yes, I.
- 21:03Speaker 6: Can be a hard body and this, that and the third,
- 21:05Speaker 6: and I have been through a lot, and none of
- 21:07Speaker 6: that is necessarily like I don't want it to come
- 21:10Speaker 6: off as you know, some people we get deep and
- 21:14Speaker 6: some people be like like white tears. That's never I
- 21:18Speaker 6: never wanted to like give that. And I think what
- 21:21Speaker 6: a lot of students in particular misunderstood was me being
- 21:26Speaker 6: so open and vulnerable about my story that I have
- 21:29Speaker 6: been for as long as I can remember, from like
- 21:31Speaker 6: age fourteen till now. They took it as that, and
- 21:34Speaker 6: I was like, no, like check the record, like this
- 21:37Speaker 6: is I'm just unapologiz like unapologetically tiffany, Like what I've
- 21:42Speaker 6: been through is no secret. It can't be thrown back
- 21:44Speaker 6: in my face because I've already told you. I've already
- 21:46Speaker 6: showed you.
- 21:47Speaker 3: My hand, yea.
- 21:49Speaker 6: And I just think that that was not really understood.
- 21:52Speaker 6: And then we then if we switched to spiritually, I'm
- 21:56Speaker 6: around I'm not the oldest any means. I'm only twenty
- 21:59Speaker 6: three and I just turned twenty three, but you gotta
- 22:02Speaker 6: think I'm a fresh man. So I'm around a lot
- 22:05Speaker 6: of seventeen, eighteen, nineteen year olds, you know, in general.
- 22:08Speaker 6: Yes there's some older than me and some of my age,
- 22:10Speaker 6: but as a whole, that's mostly what it was, and
- 22:13Speaker 6: a lot of them spiritually are not where I was
- 22:19Speaker 6: or had an experience, you know this and the third,
- 22:20Speaker 6: So I had to really give grace and remember that
- 22:22Speaker 6: like we don't wait d war flesh and blood.
- 22:24Speaker 3: And I think a lot of the times with the
- 22:29Speaker 3: I don't know, like the challenging part of like.
- 22:31Speaker 6: The judgment things like that just came from a place
- 22:32Speaker 6: I'm not understanding, because you know, like when we become
- 22:35Speaker 6: new in Christ, like we have this mind renewal, Right,
- 22:37Speaker 6: So I had to give ample amounts of grace because
- 22:40Speaker 6: y'all don't even understand, Like that's why I didn't even
- 22:42Speaker 6: entertain myself.
- 22:43Speaker 3: I'm like y'all don't even y'all don't even understand.
- 22:47Speaker 5: So yeah, I think that's such a mature way to
- 22:51Speaker 5: look at it because just going through that with you
- 22:55Speaker 5: and just not I don't, I don't understand it being
- 22:58Speaker 5: a black person.
- 22:59Speaker 3: You know, I went to a PWI, you know, so
- 23:02Speaker 3: we were the we we were the minority, you know
- 23:06Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 23:08Speaker 5: But I still had a good experience, Like I still
- 23:10Speaker 5: had a good experience at a PWY. And it's this
- 23:13Speaker 5: elitism you know that I know understand. I understand that
- 23:17Speaker 5: comes with going to an HBCU, you know, very proud,
- 23:21Speaker 5: and I was just surprised at the the the assumptions
- 23:27Speaker 5: that were made based upon just you being the white girl.
- 23:33Speaker 5: And I was like, baby, you can go look at
- 23:34Speaker 5: the social media page.
- 23:36Speaker 6: It's just that was another thing too, was like the
- 23:38Speaker 6: assumptions that I get a pass or I get you know,
- 23:42Speaker 6: more privileges, or they're not as hard of.
- 23:44Speaker 3: Me, if anything.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Administration people that I don't even know this, that and
- 23:49Speaker 6: the third students were harder on me than most of
- 23:52Speaker 6: other people. And I used to complain to one of
- 23:55Speaker 6: my advisors. I'm like, it's always something like people are
- 23:58Speaker 6: always saying something about me, like so and so can
- 23:59Speaker 6: do this and nobody's gonna say anything about it. And
- 24:01Speaker 6: she sat me down and she was like, yeah, because
- 24:03Speaker 6: you're Tiffany in there night and that's just what it is.
- 24:06Speaker 6: You have a lot of eyeballs on you, Tiffany, You've
- 24:08Speaker 6: always had And.
- 24:09Speaker 5: I was like, okay, that's cool, but like, but that's
- 24:11Speaker 5: not that's not just because you white, though I know that,
- 24:15Speaker 5: and I want to say that out loud because what
- 24:17Speaker 5: I've had that conversation and saying like, Okay.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Why do I have to do this?
- 24:22Speaker 2: Why?
- 24:22Speaker 5: Why is everybody having a problem with me because you,
- 24:25Speaker 5: Jessica and God called you to do X, Y and Z.
- 24:28Speaker 5: And I'm like, bruh, Like why can't I have this
- 24:32Speaker 5: normality of having a safe space just to be without
- 24:35Speaker 5: having this microscope on me? But I'm very proud of
- 24:40Speaker 5: you in that, and I'm also proud of you for
- 24:43Speaker 5: navigating this space even being a mother, like you're still
- 24:47Speaker 5: a single mom, Like and so there's some single mothers
- 24:50Speaker 5: out there thinking that they can't do this. How are
- 24:53Speaker 5: you navigating balancing motherhood a full time, let's say, all
- 24:58Speaker 5: full tide job and being a full time student.
- 25:04Speaker 3: What does that navigation look like for you too?
- 25:08Speaker 6: First part of the semester easy peasy, Like I got
- 25:11Speaker 6: into good groove, Like I set up my class schedule
- 25:15Speaker 6: the same as like am I a school schedule and
- 25:16Speaker 6: she was in.
- 25:17Speaker 3: After school care.
- 25:18Speaker 6: So I had classes Monday through Thursday like nine thirty
- 25:21Speaker 6: to like my last class got.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Out around like five, So I mean that was it.
- 25:26Speaker 6: I would go to school, you would go to school,
- 25:28Speaker 6: we'd pick you up, bad time, eat dinner, play, bedtime,
- 25:31Speaker 6: wake up, same thing. And then on Fridays, I kind
- 25:33Speaker 6: of got that rest to like catch up because we
- 25:35Speaker 6: didn't have class on Fridays and she still had.
- 25:37Speaker 3: To go to school.
- 25:38Speaker 6: But the midterms hit and it really caught up because
- 25:42Speaker 6: I'm taking like six seven classes and I didn't realize
- 25:45Speaker 6: that like mid terms would really take you through there.
- 25:48Speaker 6: And then right after midterms was homecoming week and then
- 25:50Speaker 6: it was Classic week, and.
- 25:51Speaker 3: I was like, we're not slowing down. Hold on, life
- 25:54Speaker 3: goes on.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Hold on because you hold a leadership position, right, a
- 25:58Speaker 5: high leadership position.
- 26:00Speaker 6: Very yeah, it's not just glitz and glitter, like it's
- 26:05Speaker 6: having to show up and then as a female, like
- 26:07Speaker 6: your hair has to be done. Your nails have to
- 26:09Speaker 6: be done, like your makeup has to be done, Like
- 26:11Speaker 6: there's a certain image that you have to uphold. And
- 26:13Speaker 6: I was like, oh, there's just too much going on.
- 26:15Speaker 6: And then on top of that, like I'm having to
- 26:17Speaker 6: find a babysitter, like last minute events and stuff for
- 26:19Speaker 6: coming up, like I have to make sure that my
- 26:21Speaker 6: home is taken care of, and I'm still fulfilling that
- 26:23Speaker 6: role at the same time.
- 26:25Speaker 3: So, I mean, it was a lot, but I did
- 26:27Speaker 3: the best for what I could.
- 26:29Speaker 6: And then there came a small season where I was like, Okay,
- 26:33Speaker 6: I'm putting a lot of this before my child. Let
- 26:34Speaker 6: me take a set back. I was like, okay, and
- 26:37Speaker 6: then we found our groove. Yeah, so but no next
- 26:39Speaker 6: semester so I'll be fully online and then working full time.
- 26:42Speaker 6: But the way that our classes are set up, it's
- 26:44Speaker 6: eight week online courses. So I'm taking two my first
- 26:47Speaker 6: eight weeks and then three my second. So I feel
- 26:49Speaker 6: like that'll be a much better groove than in.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Person all the time. That's good. I can't help but
- 26:55Speaker 3: to think about.
- 26:56Speaker 5: Okay, so we know that you're your late grandmother was
- 27:01Speaker 5: very important to you. We know the other dynamic with
- 27:03Speaker 5: your mom, who has also passed away. What does what
- 27:06Speaker 5: does navigating wonderhood look like for Tiff, Because well, I
- 27:10Speaker 5: know we've had conversation on Justica, I do not know.
- 27:12Speaker 5: No one taught me this.
- 27:15Speaker 3: I'm like, good, nobody taught me that. I'm trying to
- 27:16Speaker 3: get you what I hadn't got. You know what I'm saying,
- 27:19Speaker 3: What does that? What does that look like for you?
- 27:21Speaker 5: Being You're in a new environment, a new new school,
- 27:24Speaker 5: new job, learning lessons, just just being new but still
- 27:31Speaker 5: learning how to be the woman?
- 27:32Speaker 3: Tif what does that journey look like right now?
- 27:36Speaker 6: I would say definitely from the time we were talking
- 27:40Speaker 6: about earlier, like March April until now has strictly been
- 27:44Speaker 6: focused about me evolving and becoming as a woman in
- 27:49Speaker 6: the way that I carried myself, in the way that
- 27:52Speaker 6: I put on lotion every day now like but revealed
- 27:55Speaker 6: like I like perfume, by like jewelry, I like being
- 27:58Speaker 6: a girl, like just I'm just a girl, like I'm
- 28:00Speaker 6: the girl. But yeah, it's having to remember the life
- 28:04Speaker 6: lessons and things that my grandmother taught me as well
- 28:07Speaker 6: as my mother, think back on them, look back on
- 28:09Speaker 6: old messages, you know, ask people around me and taking
- 28:12Speaker 6: little bits and pieces because no one will ever replace
- 28:15Speaker 6: my grandmother or my mom, but I find little bits
- 28:18Speaker 6: and pieces of them in people.
- 28:20Speaker 3: That God has placed in my life.
- 28:21Speaker 6: So like, for instance, my Royal Court advisor shout out
- 28:24Speaker 6: t three, shout out Kennis, Hearty, I love you so much.
- 28:27Speaker 6: But like she really was like Auntie t like we
- 28:30Speaker 6: call her Auntie for a reason, and she really, you know,
- 28:32Speaker 6: has helped me over the season of just pouring back
- 28:35Speaker 6: into me and teaching me certain things like I didn't
- 28:37Speaker 6: know about fashion tape. I didn't know about heel taps
- 28:40Speaker 6: on the heel so you don't sink into like the
- 28:41Speaker 6: soil on the football field, like I didn't know about
- 28:43Speaker 6: this hat and the third and she truly like had
- 28:46Speaker 6: patience with me and taught me as well as you know,
- 28:48Speaker 6: my sister Queen's on Royal Court, Like they've taught me
- 28:50Speaker 6: so much, and I'm the oldest one on the court,
- 28:53Speaker 6: and I was like, oh my goodness. And then especially
- 28:55Speaker 6: I you know, some people might be like, oh, that's
- 28:57Speaker 6: just cliche, you know, but my Queen Joycelyn' tinker baby
- 29:01Speaker 6: taught me a lot just about being graceful and how
- 29:05Speaker 6: you carry yourself. You know, she's the background in pageantry
- 29:09Speaker 6: and she we've just gotten really really close. And I
- 29:13Speaker 6: just really appreciate all of them for taking the time to.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Really see me.
- 29:17Speaker 6: And they'll tell anybody that, like if anybody has something
- 29:19Speaker 6: to say, Oh you don't know her, we know her,
- 29:21Speaker 6: like we got her back, like we right into the
- 29:22Speaker 6: wheels fall off. But yeah, this season of womanhood has
- 29:27Speaker 6: been my favorite of like finding out like who I
- 29:31Speaker 6: am at my core, Like no, like besides being a mom,
- 29:36Speaker 6: being this freshman, being a college student, being a paralegal,
- 29:40Speaker 6: being a daughter, being a friend, this, that and the
- 29:42Speaker 6: third you know, besides what a man say this?
- 29:45Speaker 3: And like who is Tiffany? Who is Tiffany?
- 29:48Speaker 6: And when I asked myself that the first time, I
- 29:51Speaker 6: got disgusted.
- 29:52Speaker 3: I said, oh, someone's got to give. What was you discussed?
- 29:55Speaker 3: We got to give?
- 29:56Speaker 6: I had no respect for myself at the very and
- 29:58Speaker 6: I could, you know, look back on it, like I
- 30:00Speaker 6: put up a good front, and I don't want to
- 30:02Speaker 6: say it's like a front necessarily, but like I hit
- 30:04Speaker 6: it from a lot of people, like the way that
- 30:07Speaker 6: my house is it clean, the way that like the
- 30:10Speaker 6: type of men that I would deal with and think
- 30:12Speaker 6: that it was okay, Like I didn't respect myself the
- 30:14Speaker 6: way I would talk to myself, the way that I
- 30:17Speaker 6: just didn't really take care of like I had at
- 30:19Speaker 6: the very end of the day. I really just don't
- 30:21Speaker 6: think that, like I had the level of respect for
- 30:23Speaker 6: myself then as I do now. And it had to
- 30:25Speaker 6: come to those hard conversations of looking myself in the
- 30:27Speaker 6: mirror like naked, raw, no filter, no facade to put
- 30:32Speaker 6: on for anybody, no masks, no nothing, and being like
- 30:34Speaker 6: who am I? And I was like, oh you raggedy,
- 30:41Speaker 6: like character raggedy this that, And third I said, oh no,
- 30:46Speaker 6: and I remember last time, the last episode, this time
- 30:49Speaker 6: last year, like we were talking about not idolizing marriage.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Yeah, oh thank god, I don't do that no more.
- 30:55Speaker 5: That child, what was the defining factor, say, you know what,
- 30:58Speaker 5: I can't do this anymore. Something has to change it,
- 31:01Speaker 5: something happened.
- 31:03Speaker 6: It was more so realizing the mantle and mandate the
- 31:07Speaker 6: marriage is not this false image that I had. I'm like, okay,
- 31:12Speaker 6: you know, like a man can take care of me,
- 31:13Speaker 6: like we can live happily ever after, and I can
- 31:16Speaker 6: hunch and not.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Feel bad like that and the third, and then I
- 31:20Speaker 3: was like, there's more to it than that, Yeah, more
- 31:23Speaker 3: to it. And it really came.
- 31:24Speaker 6: From walking closely with married couples, like and seeing it
- 31:27Speaker 6: day in and day out. Yeah, like, oh, like y'all
- 31:29Speaker 6: forgive each other like every single day. Y'all don't like
- 31:33Speaker 6: picture fit and like black him like, oh, I used
- 31:35Speaker 6: to be the black queen.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Second, you make me mad? Bye? Just with men or
- 31:41Speaker 3: people in general.
- 31:43Speaker 6: Used to be with people, but then it came to
- 31:44Speaker 6: just men. I would just take out all my anger
- 31:46Speaker 6: on men because the men that I would usually deal
- 31:51Speaker 6: with it ain't were nothing, no way.
- 31:54Speaker 3: So what were the characteristics of that man? Though angry
- 31:57Speaker 3: with a big way, very angry.
- 32:00Speaker 6: I dealt with a lot of angry men, insecure men,
- 32:03Speaker 6: unhealed men, not emotionally butture men, a lot of men
- 32:07Speaker 6: that had unresolved trauma and took that out in lust
- 32:10Speaker 6: or like their eye for women, like one woman was
- 32:13Speaker 6: not enough for them. And I knew this, and I
- 32:15Speaker 6: was still like, deal with them, And I'm like, girl.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You hate yourself.
- 32:19Speaker 6: I hated myself, Like I don't know if I like
- 32:21Speaker 6: real deal hated myself. But I think a lot of
- 32:24Speaker 6: it came from what I was taught growing up. This, that,
- 32:27Speaker 6: and the third like things that were spoke over me
- 32:29Speaker 6: that I started to believe. I'm like, oh, like I'm
- 32:30Speaker 6: not worthy of this, or like, oh, it's not real,
- 32:32Speaker 6: and it made no sense when I truly took that
- 32:34Speaker 6: step back and looked at it and had to really
- 32:36Speaker 6: sit down on myself because I grew up, although yes, adopted,
- 32:40Speaker 6: and although yes I was in foster here, I grew
- 32:41Speaker 6: up in a two parent household. Yeah, like a great
- 32:44Speaker 6: two parent household. When it came to marriage. That's the
- 32:46Speaker 6: one thing that they did was not idolized, but prioritize
- 32:49Speaker 6: each other. Although there was all these foster kids in
- 32:51Speaker 6: the house, they never once let us come in between
- 32:53Speaker 6: their marriage. And there were so many times growing up
- 32:55Speaker 6: where I did not understand why my dad was choosing
- 32:58Speaker 6: my mom over us because me and my mom, you remember,
- 33:01Speaker 6: we didn't have the best relationship growing up, Like why
- 33:03Speaker 6: are you choosing her over your kids.
- 33:05Speaker 3: When you know she did wrong?
- 33:07Speaker 6: Now I understand, because biblically, your wife comes before your kids,
- 33:12Speaker 6: and vice versa, your husband becomes before your kids because
- 33:15Speaker 6: it's a three string corps. So it's not Lotty Dottie
- 33:20Speaker 6: and the baby and this, that and the third. So
- 33:22Speaker 6: I really had to learn that. And then with my
- 33:24Speaker 6: grandparents too, Like my parents and my grandparents, their anniversaries
- 33:28Speaker 6: are two years apart, so like I literally grew up
- 33:32Speaker 6: seeing my grandfather rubbing my grandmother's feet every single night,
- 33:37Speaker 6: I mean, lushing her feet down for twenty one years,
- 33:42Speaker 6: even on her deathbed, every single night. Little things like that,
- 33:47Speaker 6: like doing favors for her, running to the grocery store.
- 33:50Speaker 6: She would have to send like pictureless of like things
- 33:52Speaker 6: when it had got to the point because you know,
- 33:54Speaker 6: everything's so different now, like things have changed, and he
- 33:57Speaker 6: would bring it back and he would always like stop
- 33:59Speaker 6: to get her like a treat on the way home, like, oh,
- 34:01Speaker 6: I know she really likes ice cream, so I'm gonna
- 34:02Speaker 6: give a ice cream, or like my dad when he
- 34:04Speaker 6: goes out even now, like we'll get.
- 34:06Speaker 3: My mom a coke icy for McDonald's. Like there's little
- 34:08Speaker 3: things like that.
- 34:09Speaker 6: So when I took a step back and walked closely
- 34:11Speaker 6: with married couples and then obviously seeing the two you
- 34:14Speaker 6: know marriages that I was raised in, I was.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Like, oh, hold on, I ain't met no man like.
- 34:20Speaker 5: This right, So what was the what do you feel
- 34:23Speaker 5: like the disconnect was for you, like being able to
- 34:26Speaker 5: see that, Like, so you don't have the excuse of
- 34:28Speaker 5: not being in the environment of it, but your translation
- 34:32Speaker 5: of it is not you deal with angry angry men.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Like what do you feel like you missed the translation.
- 34:41Speaker 3: Surface level how I felt about myself.
- 34:45Speaker 6: I thought that that's what I deserved on a deeper
- 34:47Speaker 6: level generationally. You know, my mom, while yeah, she was
- 34:52Speaker 6: married for a majority of my life before that, me
- 34:56Speaker 6: and my two half sisters that are older than me,
- 34:57Speaker 6: and we all have different dads and we're two years apart,
- 35:01Speaker 6: And I mean before that, she I don't really think
- 35:03Speaker 6: that she was married.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I think she's been divorced before. I mean, I'm not
- 35:06Speaker 3: really sure. Yeah, And then just I really don't like
- 35:11Speaker 3: she just I really don't know.
- 35:15Speaker 6: Like I think it was more so of number one,
- 35:19Speaker 6: not knowing my biological father to just day not knowing
- 35:21Speaker 6: my biological father, knowing that her and my mom weren't together,
- 35:25Speaker 6: I mean him and my mom were not together, but
- 35:28Speaker 6: growing up in the two parent household, and then seeing
- 35:30Speaker 6: the trauma that my adopted sisters and foster sisters were
- 35:33Speaker 6: going through like with their families.
- 35:35Speaker 3: Stem third, I think.
- 35:36Speaker 6: It just came to a point and also just having
- 35:38Speaker 6: a low self esteem, like being bullied in school a lot,
- 35:41Speaker 6: and believing the things because I was a black sheep
- 35:43Speaker 6: of the family, like believing things that like certain family
- 35:47Speaker 6: members would say about me, and you know this seven
- 35:49Speaker 6: third being the bad kid, when in actuality, I would
- 35:51Speaker 6: just act out because I wanted attention, and I would
- 35:53Speaker 6: get it by any means because I wasn't getting it,
- 35:56Speaker 6: you know, by just obeying and doing what I was told.
- 35:59Speaker 6: I did my grandparents, but other than that, that was
- 36:03Speaker 6: how I got it.
- 36:03Speaker 3: And so.
- 36:05Speaker 6: I think it just come to a point where I
- 36:07Speaker 6: was just like, I'm gonna be so secure in myself
- 36:13Speaker 6: that I don't need anybody, any man, any woman, any mom, dad, grandma,
- 36:20Speaker 6: nothing to tell me who I am for me to know.
- 36:24Speaker 3: And it wasn't until Gamma past.
- 36:28Speaker 6: You know, after my mom, and then I had that
- 36:31Speaker 6: realization earlier this year, and I really sat down and
- 36:34Speaker 6: looked at myself the mirror, and I was like, girl.
- 36:37Speaker 3: You got to get it together.
- 36:39Speaker 6: Yeah, Like you're about to be twenty three, Like you
- 36:42Speaker 6: got things to do, You're about to have a five
- 36:44Speaker 6: year old. Now you've got your ged, you're about to
- 36:47Speaker 6: go to college, and I still have to remind myself
- 36:49Speaker 6: of those things now. And I'm very very proud, very proud.
- 36:55Speaker 6: I can confidently say Tanto's down.
- 36:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 36:59Speaker 6: I love the one that I am, and I love
- 37:01Speaker 6: the woman that I'm becoming, not just who I am now,
- 37:03Speaker 6: but who I will continue to become because I truly
- 37:07Speaker 6: took the hard steps and.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Did the ugly part. Like it was very ugly. That's
- 37:11Speaker 3: the part about flourishing people.
- 37:13Speaker 5: The idea of flourishing right, and we know we're talking
- 37:16Speaker 5: about that for like Gallentinees, But I think the fact
- 37:19Speaker 5: that you named it, or the Lord gave you that name,
- 37:23Speaker 5: that's all I can hear. Like, I'm like, Lord, you're
- 37:26Speaker 5: really taking her through a process of what flourishing means.
- 37:30Speaker 5: Because even to florishs, you have to start as a bud.
- 37:33Speaker 5: You have to get in the ground seat, you have
- 37:36Speaker 5: to be planted, you have to be covered, you have
- 37:38Speaker 5: to root the roots.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Form before you see. Yeah, yeah, the rooting was very ugly,
- 37:45Speaker 3: very ugly, but very needed. There was times where I
- 37:48Speaker 3: was like, I'll just go back.
- 37:49Speaker 6: To being who I was, I don't care, like I'll
- 37:51Speaker 6: just go back and then God would really sit me
- 37:53Speaker 6: down and humble me.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Do you feel like that would have been easier though,
- 37:57Speaker 3: to go back to wa.
- 37:59Speaker 6: We run from like things that I needed to heal from.
- 38:01Speaker 6: Absolutely not, because you can only run so long.
- 38:04Speaker 3: And it's harder to.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Fight against what God has for you than to just
- 38:08Speaker 6: operate and what He does have for you. Because it's
- 38:10Speaker 6: harder to be outside of the wheel of God than
- 38:12Speaker 6: it is inside. Because although like many are the afflictions
- 38:15Speaker 6: of the righteous we've been may endure for a night.
- 38:18Speaker 5: Yeah, but that joy we don't talk about enough that
- 38:22Speaker 5: both happen at the same time, Like I can't. I
- 38:26Speaker 5: can be at peace and have joy by something but
- 38:29Speaker 5: still have a thrown in my fish and have that suffering.
- 38:33Speaker 5: And I think that people getting misconstrued because I mean,
- 38:37Speaker 5: you bad, you fine, you fine, okay, you fine, okay,
- 38:42Speaker 5: you little good, But they don't understand that that that
- 38:47Speaker 5: level of suffering comes with suffer. Well, that level of
- 38:54Speaker 5: joy and acceptance comes with a level of suffering, Like heaviness.
- 39:00Speaker 5: You so praise, yeah, in exchange for the spirit of heaviness.
- 39:04Speaker 3: That's yeah, that's the book. It's the good book.
- 39:06Speaker 5: That's the book, Tiffany. I'm curious to know this. We
- 39:13Speaker 5: we talked. We talk a lot about Gammo, we talked,
- 39:15Speaker 5: we've talked about about your mom.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I'm curious to know what if there's a desire to
- 39:24Speaker 3: know you're dead, like who he is part of me?
- 39:31Speaker 6: Yes, not for the sole fact of like wanting to
- 39:33Speaker 6: feel fulfilled or.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Like validated or like whole.
- 39:40Speaker 6: There was a name that my mom gave me before
- 39:43Speaker 6: she passed away, and I try to call that man
- 39:46Speaker 6: when I was like seventeen, and it was a very
- 39:49Speaker 6: very brief phone conversation. It was I don't know that woman.
- 39:52Speaker 6: I've never been married, I don't have any kids, I
- 39:55Speaker 6: don't have any money for you never asked for money,
- 39:57Speaker 6: but okay, and then that was that and I left
- 40:00Speaker 6: it alone. Never never try to contact him ever again.
- 40:03Speaker 6: Recently recently in the past month. So that's funny, cause
- 40:06Speaker 6: I don't think I told you this, No you didn't.
- 40:08Speaker 6: But recently in the past month I got to think
- 40:11Speaker 6: it again. I was like, huh, let me see, you know,
- 40:15Speaker 6: let me see try to contact him again. Me working
- 40:18Speaker 6: in line now, So I look up his name and
- 40:22Speaker 6: I see some charges. We're not gonna talk about what
- 40:24Speaker 6: they are. But I saw some arrest records and some charges.
- 40:27Speaker 6: I said, a good and.
- 40:30Speaker 3: That was it that day. I said, oh, I'm good.
- 40:32Speaker 3: I'm good at So you don't want to know him
- 40:33Speaker 3: because of what you saw. Well, I don't know if
- 40:35Speaker 3: that is my father, right, but if it is, mm hmm,
- 40:40Speaker 3: but why though, I'm curious to know why?
- 40:43Speaker 6: M m the nature of the charges mm hmm. Okay,
- 40:48Speaker 6: cause I look at it more as like God's protection.
- 40:51Speaker 3: If it's meant to be, God would have it to be.
- 40:54Speaker 6: You know, even the story of how I even met
- 40:56Speaker 6: my biological sisters and how we got connected.
- 41:00Speaker 3: If it's meant to be, it'll be.
- 41:01Speaker 6: And in that I'm just okay, Like I thank God
- 41:05Speaker 6: for my adopted parents. You know, me and my mom
- 41:08Speaker 6: now have a much, much, much better relationship. Like yesterday,
- 41:11Speaker 6: I had went over there for breakfast and a Maya
- 41:14Speaker 6: was there too, and my dad. I brought eggs and
- 41:18Speaker 6: bacon and cinnamon rolls, and my dad had cooked breakfast
- 41:20Speaker 6: for all of us and we had played Uno and
- 41:23Speaker 6: it was just like a good time that I never
- 41:25Speaker 6: thought would happen. And then my dad sometimes people hear
- 41:28Speaker 6: me call him James. It's not out of disrespect, but
- 41:31Speaker 6: I just always called him James. But no, he's been
- 41:35Speaker 6: more than enough of a father to me. And while yes,
- 41:40Speaker 6: part to me will probably always have that slight curiosity
- 41:43Speaker 6: of like, hmm, I wonder who the other part of
- 41:46Speaker 6: it is, Like my dad is such an amazing man,
- 41:50Speaker 6: and so it was my grandfather, but my dad is
- 41:53Speaker 6: such an amazing man and husband and brother and grandfather
- 41:58Speaker 6: and all these things, like I'm good, Like I just
- 42:01Speaker 6: don't think that no man that I could meet who
- 42:04Speaker 6: could potentially be my father could ever beat my dad.
- 42:08Speaker 6: But Okay, so I get because I don't have the
- 42:13Speaker 6: experience of not knowing my father.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I know who my daddy is.
- 42:16Speaker 5: I just I think I would be curious of like, Okay,
- 42:19Speaker 5: if I were to have the opportunity to talk to
- 42:21Speaker 5: my dad, what would I say? Have you ever thought
- 42:23Speaker 5: about that? And what does that conversation look like? What
- 42:25Speaker 5: does what does Tiffany say to the man that she
- 42:29Speaker 5: doesn't know but understands that shares DNA.
- 42:38Speaker 6: I really don't even know like how to answer that,
- 42:41Speaker 6: because I mean, there's so much to describe who Tiffany
- 42:46Speaker 6: is I wouldn't even know how to like start to
- 42:50Speaker 6: introduce myself to my biological dad because there's so many
- 42:54Speaker 6: different layers, so many different versions, so many different seasons.
- 42:59Speaker 3: And then I'm just like, so are you like who?
- 43:04Speaker 6: Like?
- 43:04Speaker 3: Who are you?
- 43:05Speaker 6: I'm sure that I would find some similarities, but I
- 43:09Speaker 6: mean that was a part of me for a long
- 43:10Speaker 6: time that like I thought that I had what we
- 43:13Speaker 6: call daddy issues with actuality, it was mommy issues.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what took me through there.
- 43:19Speaker 6: But but yeah, I mean I'm finally at a place where, like,
- 43:27Speaker 6: I'm so content with where I am in life and
- 43:32Speaker 6: just who I am that I just don't I'm not
- 43:34Speaker 6: phased if that door opens or if it just stays
- 43:37Speaker 6: closed because I don't about it.
- 43:40Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I think that's I think that's a good thing,
- 43:43Speaker 5: that's a healthy thing. But are you still like, do
- 43:46Speaker 5: you still have an open space like if it happens,
- 43:48Speaker 5: it happens, if it doesn't cool, or you just like, nah,
- 43:53Speaker 5: I'm good, don't even worry about it.
- 43:54Speaker 6: Lord kind I mean, I've just been through so much
- 44:00Speaker 6: in life, so much that most grown and adult people
- 44:03Speaker 6: couldn't even fathom or think of and I'm finally at
- 44:06Speaker 6: a place with my life where I'm not in survival mode,
- 44:09Speaker 6: Like I'm not having to fight for my life every
- 44:11Speaker 6: single day. You know, excuse me, I'm not fighting to
- 44:15Speaker 6: stay alive, Like I'm not fighting my mind, Like I'm
- 44:17Speaker 6: not like, oh my God, like i just want to
- 44:19Speaker 6: kill myself, like.
- 44:19Speaker 3: This is too much, Like this is just too much,
- 44:22Speaker 3: Like there's just too much to do.
- 44:23Speaker 6: Like I thought killing myself was easier than healing because
- 44:28Speaker 6: I just knew that there was so much to go
- 44:30Speaker 6: through and I was just like, oh, I don't want
- 44:32Speaker 6: to do that. And that was at my adolescence when
- 44:35Speaker 6: we're still you know, forming emotionally and all things like oh,
- 44:38Speaker 6: this is too much, is too much, too much? But
- 44:42Speaker 6: I think, God, I didn't make that decision. I really do,
- 44:45Speaker 6: But I just lost what I was about to.
- 44:48Speaker 5: Say, No, what I was what I had asked you was,
- 44:53Speaker 5: were you I think I forgot the last thing I
- 44:56Speaker 5: was just said.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Pretty much are you open?
- 44:58Speaker 5: Like yeah, O if it happens, or you're just like yeah, no,
- 45:01Speaker 5: I'm a good period.
- 45:03Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying, Like I'm I'm okay.
- 45:06Speaker 6: But I'm just now to a point where like there's
- 45:09Speaker 6: peace in my life, and like I thought so hard
- 45:12Speaker 6: to obtain that piece where I'm like, I don't want
- 45:16Speaker 6: somebody to come in, whether you are my dad or
- 45:19Speaker 6: anybody in my life for that matter, to come in
- 45:21Speaker 6: and disrupt that. Because I was having a conversation with
- 45:24Speaker 6: somebody the other day, we were having a disagreement, and
- 45:28Speaker 6: I was like, I love you, but I love me
- 45:31Speaker 6: a lot more.
- 45:32Speaker 3: And that's the place that I had gotten to in
- 45:34Speaker 3: my life. And I've made that very clear to my
- 45:37Speaker 3: daughter as well.
- 45:38Speaker 6: You know, when we'll have conversations, like everybody in our
- 45:41Speaker 6: life is disposable. I want you to know that you
- 45:45Speaker 6: come before anybody and everybody until I'm married, it's you,
- 45:50Speaker 6: simple and play. And I wanted her to know that
- 45:52Speaker 6: she matters so much in my life. While yes, she's five,
- 45:55Speaker 6: she's very intelligent, Yeah, very intelligent.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Show meet you one time and she'll know your name
- 45:59Speaker 3: for the for life.
- 46:00Speaker 6: It seems like, bring it up, yeah, but I want
- 46:04Speaker 6: her to understand that dynamic of I don't care that
- 46:08Speaker 6: this could this is a family member, or this is
- 46:11Speaker 6: a friend or whoever. Anybody is disposable. And that's just
- 46:15Speaker 6: that because when it comes to protecting my child or
- 46:18Speaker 6: even just my piece, like oh no, like it's raps.
- 46:21Speaker 5: It's raps, which is fair, like I think I think
- 46:24Speaker 5: that and doing it in a righteous way though, like
- 46:27Speaker 5: this is not. Yeah, but we gotta say that because
- 46:30Speaker 5: it's so easy.
- 46:31Speaker 3: I mean, you're Tiffany Nicole White, Okay, you are people.
- 46:37Speaker 5: You're someone that has the responsibility of influence.
- 46:41Speaker 3: And I don't like it. What do you like about it? Sometimes?
- 46:45Speaker 3: But I deal with it? What don't you like about it?
- 46:48Speaker 6: Like I was talking to yeah, still, I was talking
- 47:01Speaker 6: to somebody and like they they they love like blogging
- 47:07Speaker 6: in like stuff like that, like they love the social
- 47:09Speaker 6: media part of it all. And then I was I
- 47:10Speaker 6: was talking about you too. I was like, oh, like
- 47:12Speaker 6: just takes this thing for real. I don't like I
- 47:15Speaker 6: do in part, but like at the very end of
- 47:17Speaker 6: the day, I can never care if I'm never in
- 47:19Speaker 6: front of another camera ever again, Like I've become so
- 47:22Speaker 6: private and just I just love that because I didn't.
- 47:24Speaker 6: I didn't have that for a long time. And I
- 47:26Speaker 6: think that that's been a big switch with how people
- 47:30Speaker 6: view me on social media. It's like I used to
- 47:31Speaker 6: put my whole life out there. Yeah, baby, daddy, drama, this, that,
- 47:34Speaker 6: and the third like everything you could ever think of,
- 47:37Speaker 6: and now there ain't a lick of nothing.
- 47:39Speaker 3: I don't want you to know nothing. I'm gonna post.
- 47:42Speaker 6: I'll probably post something from two months ago and you'll
- 47:44Speaker 6: think it's my first time at that restaurant.
- 47:47Speaker 3: I'm not belated.
- 47:48Speaker 5: Because it has been a shift, and that was gonna
- 47:49Speaker 5: be another thing I wanted to bring up to it
- 47:51Speaker 5: so you can allow people to hear from you.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Like it's a noticeable ship. It's not.
- 47:57Speaker 5: It's not no, I don't even look the sad. No,
- 47:59Speaker 5: it's it's you don't look the same, you don't approach
- 48:02Speaker 5: social media same. It's a I would say TIF is
- 48:06Speaker 5: more highlights. Then we're not getting the tiff and the dungeon.
- 48:10Speaker 5: If I could call it a sec we're not getting
- 48:14Speaker 5: dungeon till But I don't think that it was a
- 48:18Speaker 5: problem with that. But I also think that founding a
- 48:20Speaker 5: healthy balance of let me let you know what it is,
- 48:23Speaker 5: because I know that when you did have that situation
- 48:26Speaker 5: come up, we just gonna call it a situation.
- 48:29Speaker 3: We won't have to. If you've been following her, you
- 48:31Speaker 3: know the situation. You know the situation. You know, the situation.
- 48:34Speaker 6: It's just obvious and that's all you're gonna get.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Because I respect my friends.
- 48:40Speaker 5: When that situation come up, people always want to know
- 48:43Speaker 5: what happened with the situation. And I think that just
- 48:48Speaker 5: being your friend just for the past year and seeing
- 48:51Speaker 5: you just like bro, like, I don't want to relive there,
- 48:54Speaker 5: I don't want to talk about it, I don't want
- 48:56Speaker 5: to deal with I'm not.
- 48:57Speaker 3: Her, I'm not even her anymore, not even her.
- 49:00Speaker 6: And that's so crazy because I was getting ready today,
- 49:02Speaker 6: I was going through some things and something that happened to,
- 49:05Speaker 6: you know, trigger me over the past week or so,
- 49:07Speaker 6: and I really thought about that, and I'm like, I
- 49:10Speaker 6: used to think that, like so much of what had
- 49:14Speaker 6: happened just in my life period, not just with this
- 49:15Speaker 6: situation by itself, could be like held over my head,
- 49:18Speaker 6: like me just being a human, like me and my humanity,
- 49:21Speaker 6: you know, my low moments where I wasn't just at
- 49:24Speaker 6: my best, but I let certain people see me in
- 49:27Speaker 6: that vulnerability. I thought that like that being held over
- 49:30Speaker 6: my head was like such a big thing, and it
- 49:32Speaker 6: probably was at the time. And I'm not going to
- 49:33Speaker 6: invalidate my own feelings because it probably would have y'all
- 49:36Speaker 6: probably would have canceled me no life.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Crazy, But looking.
- 49:41Speaker 6: At that now, if SO and so come out with
- 49:44Speaker 6: this that in the third or even bring that up
- 49:46Speaker 6: like okay, cool, I don't even know her, you don't
- 49:49Speaker 6: know me, And I love that for us.
- 49:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that for us.
- 49:53Speaker 6: Like the woman that I've become, not even just to
- 49:55Speaker 6: other people, but like to myself, I don't it's so
- 49:58Speaker 6: unrecognizable in the past year, not even just the past
- 50:00Speaker 6: few months, like the past year like period, with how
- 50:04Speaker 6: I speak, with how I carry myself, with how I
- 50:07Speaker 6: articulate myself, how I operate in emotions.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Therapy. I love therapy.
- 50:11Speaker 6: I recommend everybody gets a therapist, everybody. I don't care
- 50:14Speaker 6: if it's your grandma who's ninety years old. Yeah, I
- 50:17Speaker 6: love therapy. I recommend therapy to everybody. I literally just
- 50:19Speaker 6: started my own child into therapy just ahead of time. Yeah,
- 50:22Speaker 6: because not necessarily you know that something that's happened, but
- 50:26Speaker 6: kind of more so is like preventable.
- 50:28Speaker 3: How she gets used to talking about her.
- 50:30Speaker 6: Feeling and she knows that even when she may be
- 50:33Speaker 6: mad at me, because that's bound to happen.
- 50:35Speaker 3: At some point you're a girl, I'm a girl.
- 50:37Speaker 6: We gonna knock here, even though that's bound to happen, Like,
- 50:41Speaker 6: you still have somebody that's a.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Safe space, yeah, to communicate those things.
- 50:45Speaker 6: And you know, just just being taught emotional maturity early on,
- 50:48Speaker 6: because I wasn't necessarily taught that.
- 50:50Speaker 3: Like I was thrown.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Into therapy and them therapists weren't worth nothing. It was like, Okay,
- 50:56Speaker 6: what medication can I put you on to a number? Yeah?
- 50:58Speaker 3: I'm like no, like I need somebody to just listen. Yeah.
- 51:02Speaker 6: So having that as an adult, oh my gosh. I
- 51:04Speaker 6: just everybody should have therapy. Everybody should have therapy.
- 51:08Speaker 5: That's so good, that's so good. I'm very proud of you.
- 51:13Speaker 5: It's been no, it's been rewarding. And I'm gonna share
- 51:18Speaker 5: this with you. I didn't know if I was gonna
- 51:19Speaker 5: share it or not, but I feel like lead to
- 51:21Speaker 5: share it. You bring a different level of confidence for
- 51:28Speaker 5: me and our relationship.
- 51:30Speaker 3: Oh lord, I've been crying over.
- 51:36Speaker 5: I know, all right, you've been You bring a different
- 51:40Speaker 5: level of confidence for me and our relationship. I didn't
- 51:47Speaker 5: think that somebody like you would want to friend somebody
- 51:51Speaker 5: like me. Why because for one, I'm ten years older
- 51:55Speaker 5: than you. Let's start with the age difference. That's big,
- 52:00Speaker 5: no you, And but the thing is you lean into
- 52:04Speaker 5: that part your It's a gift to be transparent. You
- 52:18Speaker 5: make me want to be better just having you look
- 52:23Speaker 5: and say, Jessica, how do you do this? Or trust
- 52:26Speaker 5: in me even to serve you at Gallentines? Like you know,
- 52:30Speaker 5: you know, I was like, okay, you know the first
- 52:32Speaker 5: time I was like, hey, hey, just ask just as
- 52:37Speaker 5: I just like, no, I don't and you don't want to,
- 52:41Speaker 5: and it's weird for me. That is weird for me.
- 52:45Speaker 5: You bring out the absolute best of me, tive, you
- 52:48Speaker 5: really do. And for people that may misunderstand you, I
- 52:53Speaker 5: think the season is up.
- 52:55Speaker 3: I think the season is.
- 52:56Speaker 5: Up because there are people that are properly positioned to
- 53:03Speaker 5: manage you well and to allow you that safe space
- 53:07Speaker 5: to develop as the woman that God has created you
- 53:09Speaker 5: to because there's more.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Right, Oh my god, I feel my help cut.
- 53:14Speaker 5: Yeah, there's so much more for Tiffany, the cold white
- 53:17Speaker 5: and that last name will change for the white person. Okay, well,
- 53:25Speaker 5: hyphenation I love, but I'm just I just wanted to
- 53:31Speaker 5: publicly tell you thank you.
- 53:32Speaker 3: Like this. This last year of getting to.
- 53:34Speaker 5: Know you, you taught me how to be transparent. You've
- 53:38Speaker 5: taught me how to open myself up and allowed because
- 53:41Speaker 5: you know some ugly things about me.
- 53:42Speaker 3: And you know some you know, but just getting on
- 53:47Speaker 3: some things about me.
- 53:48Speaker 6: Nobody else on the face of this earth walking nose,
- 53:51Speaker 6: like Jessica, in my life, I can probably end just
- 53:54Speaker 6: because life, and then there would just be no that's
- 53:56Speaker 6: fair enough to you know, but we thank God for grace, grace.
- 54:00Speaker 3: And understanding and love and love.
- 54:03Speaker 5: And so I just want to say, you know, getting
- 54:06Speaker 5: to see you just your maturation process is so rewarding,
- 54:10Speaker 5: and so thank you for allowing me to be a
- 54:11Speaker 5: part of your life. Thank you for just being till regardless,
- 54:15Speaker 5: just being tif and I'm here for the long call.
- 54:18Speaker 5: So I just want you to to say that publicly,
- 54:20Speaker 5: so you can remind me when I try to quit
- 54:22Speaker 5: on you.
- 54:25Speaker 6: Ain't that name unless you start when I try to
- 54:29Speaker 6: quit him like too.
- 54:30Speaker 5: If I can't do this though, bos, but that's already
- 54:32Speaker 5: what what's going over there in your little lovely head,
- 54:35Speaker 5: the little lovely head, this is so beautiful because I
- 54:38Speaker 5: love y'all talked about suffering right, And I think either
- 54:44Speaker 5: we don't quite understand what that means or we just
- 54:48Speaker 5: soon forget that a part of the journey is the
- 54:51Speaker 5: processing and the suffering, right. But Jane said, kind of
- 54:56Speaker 5: joy when when trials and tribulations it's it's it's not
- 55:01Speaker 5: there to kill you, it's not there to break you.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Right.
- 55:03Speaker 5: But he's working out of perfect work. So we have
- 55:05Speaker 5: to let uh perseverance do her perfect work.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I'm saying.
- 55:10Speaker 5: And I think this is just a beautiful picture of
- 55:13Speaker 5: when you when you just lean into the to the
- 55:16Speaker 5: to the pain, right, when you lean into the the
- 55:18Speaker 5: hard times that come like the beauty that comes on
- 55:21Speaker 5: the other side of it, you know what I'm saying.
- 55:23Speaker 5: And so just to keep leaning in man, and just
- 55:26Speaker 5: watching your journey.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Has been beautiful, you know.
- 55:30Speaker 5: And I and I then noticed, like you know, you know,
- 55:31Speaker 5: people will just watch right, so you have there was
- 55:34Speaker 5: there isn't a distinctive difference in your social media presence
- 55:39Speaker 5: from where you were into where you are now and
- 55:40Speaker 5: now it's just another level of maturity.
- 55:43Speaker 3: That's what I see.
- 55:43Speaker 5: I just see a woman coming into her maturity, you
- 55:46Speaker 5: know what I'm saying.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Woman, Yeah, So good on your girl. Thank you. It
- 55:53Speaker 3: looks good on you.
- 55:54Speaker 5: And I'm excited about Flourish to see that baby being
- 55:58Speaker 5: birthed out. I know it's like like like birthing something
- 56:02Speaker 5: like so because right.
- 56:03Speaker 3: Now we're pregnant. Yeah, we're pregnant. Everybody pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, wobbling,
- 56:08Speaker 3: we're purpose. Let's clarify.
- 56:10Speaker 6: Hold on, don't try to be funny.
- 56:14Speaker 3: I ain't nobody pregnant.
- 56:17Speaker 5: Six It was like February sixth and sixth and seven, Flourish.
- 56:21Speaker 3: I'm gonna be there. Yes, if you, if you, if you,
- 56:24Speaker 3: if you ain't there, what's wrong with you? What is wrong?
- 56:27Speaker 5: Because we're going up. If if year one was like
- 56:31Speaker 5: it was, and we add days days, child.
- 56:36Speaker 3: And it's not just me and Jazz, who hello, whole line?
- 56:40Speaker 3: Was it? Actually Prophet is actually brown? Oh? Oh, psalms?
- 56:46Speaker 3: Is Courtney crossing down? Just stop right there? We just
- 56:50Speaker 3: need to go on the floor.
- 56:52Speaker 6: It is insane in the best way possible. I have
- 56:55Speaker 6: never and mind you, I've been watching her, and you
- 56:58Speaker 6: know we've seen each other ministry for years now, but
- 57:01Speaker 6: I'm just like, every single time I see her, it just.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Gets better and better. And better.
- 57:08Speaker 6: And I'm like, the level of submission that she has
- 57:11Speaker 6: in her life is insane. And it's not by necessarily
- 57:15Speaker 6: the way she looks or you know, yeah she dresses,
- 57:18Speaker 6: it's you can literally hear it. Yeah, you can hear
- 57:21Speaker 6: her matriculation and her submission. And I'm just like, it's
- 57:24Speaker 6: Insane's there's nobody like.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Coco, c nobody, no, nobody, the sound is hers, it's
- 57:31Speaker 5: it's can't.
- 57:32Speaker 6: Be duplicated, replicated, know nothing, Like you've got it through
- 57:36Speaker 6: and through, like if nobody got off, you got all.
- 57:40Speaker 3: If you don't know how to worship, you will learn
- 57:42Speaker 3: it for I promise she will instruct and usher you in. Yeah.
- 57:47Speaker 6: So yeah, so prophet is actually Brown first of all,
- 57:51Speaker 6: powerhouse insane and it's just full circle how I started
- 57:56Speaker 6: off seeing her on social media. Then nobody knows this,
- 57:59Speaker 6: but like I had planned an event and God told
- 58:01Speaker 6: me to stop, but she was going to be the
- 58:03Speaker 6: guest speaker, and then I didn't do it, and then
- 58:06Speaker 6: she invited me to speak on a panel. Mind you,
- 58:09Speaker 6: I'm Tiffany Nicole White, twenty two years old at this point. Yeah,
- 58:13Speaker 6: on a panel with an apostle with a prophetest who's
- 58:17Speaker 6: a pastor's wife also, and then her who's a prophet.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Then there's little on me. Don't make no sense looking
- 58:22Speaker 3: at it.
- 58:23Speaker 6: Still don't make no sense to me looking back at it,
- 58:25Speaker 6: and I'm just like gays. And then she saw the
- 58:29Speaker 6: biggest seed in my end to me that anybody has
- 58:31Speaker 6: ever saw it. Wow, and nobody knew never post. I
- 58:34Speaker 6: never posted about it. She never posted about it. That's
- 58:36Speaker 6: just what it was. And from then on out, even
- 58:38Speaker 6: before the seed, greatly honored her and appreciated her for
- 58:42Speaker 6: seeing that and giving me the platform that she did,
- 58:45Speaker 6: you know, and trusted me with.
- 58:47Speaker 3: That as such a baby, Yeah, because of my head.
- 58:49Speaker 3: I'm a baby.
- 58:50Speaker 6: And after that, when I had reached out to her
- 58:54Speaker 6: about booking, she was like, oh, well, I guess now's
- 58:58Speaker 6: the time that like God already told me that third
- 59:00Speaker 6: and I don't think I even told you that, but
- 59:02Speaker 6: she already knew I was gonna come to her doorstep
- 59:05Speaker 6: like hey, I got Gallentines because she had just recently
- 59:07Speaker 6: come out with that series, that girl, And so I
- 59:10Speaker 6: was like, okay, cool, And every time in prayer, like
- 59:13Speaker 6: thinking about it in like medicine, like who is going
- 59:16Speaker 6: who can I.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Trust, right, because that's another part.
- 59:19Speaker 6: That's another part, and that's why we were so strategic
- 59:21Speaker 6: about who we brought this year. It's people that I know,
- 59:25Speaker 6: It's people that I can vet, It's people that I
- 59:28Speaker 6: trust through and through with the vision.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Yeah, from every aspect.
- 59:31Speaker 6: Yeah, the speaker with the mic down to director assistant director,
- 59:35Speaker 6: team Lee's this that and the third speaker psalms this
- 59:38Speaker 6: everything Like Saturday Day, Saturday Day, we have faster.
- 59:43Speaker 3: Petro Pender, who is my beloved mentor.
- 59:46Speaker 6: Has truly like held my hand, took off running the
- 59:49Speaker 6: wind stoped since yeah, like and that was just from
- 59:51Speaker 6: the end of January this year up until now that
- 59:55Speaker 6: we've walked so closely like and I've just seen so
- 59:58Speaker 6: much of God in our relationship intentionality. And then Koash
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: and a Jackson walked that thing out with me last summer,
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: I mean walked.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: It out with me.
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: And we met in the School of Prophecy at formerly
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: Onnations Church now Love City Church, and she already knew
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: that I was supposed to be her mentor, like somebody
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: else had told her as well, and God had converted
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: to her and prayer before I even spoke.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: A word to her.
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: So they will be teaching on you know, spiritual giftings
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: and the prophetic and prayer, and Pastor Petra really on
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: the holy boundaries of like no, I think it's something
- 1:00:33Speaker 6: something along those lines, but the power of no, because
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: if there's one thing that she taught me, it's boundaries.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: And then that night we have mes me this little
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: mean yeah, somebody speaking, come on now. And then we
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: have our scholarship giveaway. We have our panel of me you, Petra.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: There might be one.
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: More we just don't we know yet, we'll see. And
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: then in Cocoa crossing a game and then the O G.
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: PJS, which is so but we are not laying hands
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: at peaches. We're doing all that before you can actually eat.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: This time we can eat and go home and shuffle
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: and go home.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: And go home. Baby, y'all wore us out. But no,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: I'm really looking.
- 1:01:26Speaker 5: Forward to Flourish because it's gonna be different. It's going
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: to be you know, us being able to be women
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: and just the whole woman. We're touching the whole too,
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: woman and so.
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: And I really.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: Think that the lineup was intentional the way it was
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: because I'm walk closely with these women and they have
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: everything to do with who Tiffany is now. So why
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: would I not bring the same people that ushered me
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: into where I'm at now and offer those same people
- 1:01:58Speaker 6: to all these women from all walks of life, all
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: different ages, all different places. Why would I not do that.
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: I'm not silly, I'm not a gay careper right right
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: fully transparent, But it's also a public honor that or
- 1:02:11Speaker 6: just honoring them publicly that I did not get here
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: by myself. Yeah, first obviously the Lord, and then second,
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: every single last one of you helped Garrison in like
- 1:02:20Speaker 6: Garrison me into where I am today, and you included
- 1:02:23Speaker 6: jess And I just really appreciate you, and I just
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: love you, and I don't I don't like Mushi gishiy
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: stuff because I'm just like I just try to tell
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: baby like I'm just a girl, but I'm just like you.
- 1:02:34Speaker 6: I would have never thought from the first episode to now, like, okay, yeah.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: We be cool. Yeah, Jessica.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Like you on the Favorites. You're hilarious, no real bad.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Like I literally called Justica the other night and I'm like,
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: can I come over? Come on? And I literally was
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: there in twenty minutes. Yep. Real bad. And now me
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: and her dog like we're friends. And I don't like dogs,
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: but on more hands that effect, I don't like no more.
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: No.
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: But it's both ways. I want you to know it's
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: mutual and so I'm grateful. But y'all, I want y'all
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: to understand that we are about to do we're doing
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: something so big for women.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: It's not an age limit, it's not an age gap.
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: She saydnine, you hear me, it's sixteen oh, sixteen, sixteen
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: to ninety nine.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: We're gonna be talking about some stuff everything. Okay, we're
- 1:03:25Speaker 5: gonna be talking about the stuff. So this is the
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: time for you to get it because tickets are almost
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: sold out.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: Okay, tickets are almost.
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: Sold out to Flourish, and we are doing a fast
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: that is coming up in the very near future. And
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: to be in that fast, a part of that fast,
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: you have to be in the circle group. Okay, we're
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: gonna be praying, we're gonna be going before the Lord.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: I just thank Tiffany for trusting me with that because
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: I said, hey, girl, we need to do this or whatever.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: She's like, Okay, let's do it, you know. So we
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: are we're very much.
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: So doing things before the actual event and you definitely
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: want to be a part of it. You need a shift,
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: you need better understanding. If you just need to be
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: around women that are going in the same direction as you.
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: Flourish is where you need to be. February sixth, through
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: the through the seventh, Birmingham, Alabama at Lovely at love
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: City Church. Okay, So, Tiffany, as a tradition, we already
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: know we want to land the plane. Girl, if you
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: came anything that came with anything on your heart, or
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: you want to you know, elaborate on something you've already said,
- 1:04:29Speaker 5: the flourish.
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: Or hmm, you're so silly.
- 1:04:36Speaker 6: Hm, I'm just playing because let's get down to it.
- 1:04:42Speaker 6: I want how do I worry this? If you if
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: yourself five years from now, man are women?
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Because I don't discriminate, you can go. I can talk
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: to either one. Yeah, through and through what you're going
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: through here.
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: If you look at yourself five years from now, would
- 1:05:02Speaker 6: you be proud of who you are or would you
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: want to do better? That's what I had to do
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: and so through that the hard works. Like we said earlier,
- 1:05:11Speaker 6: you can't run from it for forever. The hard work
- 1:05:14Speaker 6: may seem easier to just keep running or to opt
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: out another way, but it's not only important for yourself,
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: but your children, your children's children, and also just the
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: legacy that you'll leave behind for everyone that ever.
- 1:05:27Speaker 3: Comes into contact with you.
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: You know, I'll wake up in the morning and I
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: really try to remind myself daily like what is one
- 1:05:35Speaker 6: thing that I can do today or how can I
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: be better today than I was yesterday? Yeah, and really
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: giving myself that grace to start over every single day
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: because I may not have gotten it right the first
- 1:05:46Speaker 6: time or yesterday.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: But I have a new day. Yeah, I have a
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: new hour, I have a new a fresh start in
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: a way.
- 1:05:53Speaker 6: And in scripture it says that a just man falls
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: seven times begets back up eight Yeah, so just continuing
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: to get back up, keep going because you don't know
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: who's watching you, and you don't need a million followers
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: on social media for you to be watched. You know,
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: coworker may be following you and watching you, or a brother,
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: a sister, or I've even seen parental figures and yeah, you.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: Just never know. Just be a good, just be kind.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Everybody's going through something.
- 1:06:21Speaker 6: And some people will never be as transparent and it's open,
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: and that's perfectly okay. But you truly never know. Like
- 1:06:28Speaker 6: I think that's one thing that God has really taught
- 1:06:31Speaker 6: me is you never truly know. So my last thought
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: and comment would be, because I love to.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Talk, is if not you, then who?
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: If not you, then then who? I think that's good
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: because if God can be.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: For us, hallelu.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: Y'all.

- 1:07:07Speaker 6: If I don't know what to say, don't care.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: She could be in the club. Well, praise.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: You.
