Understanding the unrest in France
In France, localized overnight curfews in Paris and other major cities restored a measure of calm, after protests that began in September as student-led demands for education reforms expanded and devolved over the weekend into the worst rioting seen in France for several years. The protests also come ahead of the next French presidential elections in April 2027. Dr. Miriam Rosman, a historian and expert on Israel-France relations at Forum Dvorah, spoke to KAN's Naomi Segal.
