- 0:00Speaker 1: Kevin Gray are UK. You're at correspondent with us this morning, Devin,
- 0:02Speaker 1: Good morning, Hi there. Right now, the UK's advised Britain's
- 0:07Speaker 1: basically don't go to Israel at the moment. Certainly don't
- 0:11Speaker 1: go to Iran, but also moving around some military assets.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yes, a very important military assets. So let's start with those,
- 0:20Speaker 2: the air to wear refueling, various equipment and machinery, but
- 0:25Speaker 2: also typhoon jets. And it's interesting the government saying we
- 0:29Speaker 2: recommend to dial down the rhetoric and to keep calm everyone,
- 0:33Speaker 2: we don't want to be war breaking out in the
- 0:35Speaker 2: Middle East, and yet they're moving in more of the hardware,
- 0:39Speaker 2: the military hardware. Why well, because Iran has said that
- 0:42Speaker 2: any support for Israel by America, France and the UK
- 0:47Speaker 2: will basically mean that any assets those countries have in
- 0:51Speaker 2: the region will be fair game and potential targets. So
- 0:55Speaker 2: although they're putting out this message of you know, let's
- 0:57Speaker 2: quite calm everyone, they are also saying we're moving those
- 1:01Speaker 2: assets in. And now this advice to all Britain saying
- 1:05Speaker 2: do not travel to Israel, and that is because quite
- 1:08Speaker 2: simply they're unable to keep them safe in what they're
- 1:10Speaker 2: describing as a fast moving situation that poses significant risks,
- 1:15Speaker 2: which of course means the bombing that Iran is currently
- 1:18Speaker 2: carrying out in Israel.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Meanwhile, French President Emanuel Marcon he's going to Greenland today.
- 1:23Speaker 1: This is basically a slight metal finger to the US.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Yes, very much so. I mean, you know, a few
- 1:29Speaker 2: years ago, run no country's leaders went to Greenland. I
- 1:34Speaker 2: mean it really was, you know, a very very sort
- 1:36Speaker 2: of a place that is very small, didn't see to
- 1:40Speaker 2: carry many votes or public set of amazement. So yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 2: this is going to be an interesting visit. A manual
- 1:46Speaker 2: Macron touching down in a city with just twenty thousand people.
- 1:50Speaker 2: It must be one of the smallest foreign visits official
- 1:54Speaker 2: foreign visits carried out. And it is I think, to
- 1:56Speaker 2: show this European unity that they are with Greenland, which
- 2:00Speaker 2: is of course part of Denmark as an autonomous region
- 2:04Speaker 2: but governor as it were, by Denmark, and so his
- 2:07Speaker 2: travel to the capital Nuke is going to be extremely interesting.
- 2:10Speaker 2: I think you'll get a very warm reception Greenland reaching
- 2:13Speaker 2: out to other European nations saying don't forget us, we
- 2:16Speaker 2: are still wanting to be part of you. Know the
- 2:19Speaker 2: Kingdom of Denmark, etc. Greenland is not for sale and
- 2:22Speaker 2: as you said, sticking up the finger or two to
- 2:26Speaker 2: Donald Trump and the American government saying we are not
- 2:29Speaker 2: going to be bullied around by you.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Yeah. And they'll be seeing each other, those two presumably
- 2:34Speaker 1: as well at the JU seven summit Alberta and Canada
- 2:36Speaker 1: in a couple of days time. Thank you very much, Gavin.
